Thus the age of slaughter began, however humans called it the age of cleansing. Religious powerhouses rose to power, that would discriminate against other races and the citizens started believing in such thoughts, nonetheless that wasn¡¯t the case and the true reason was human greed for riches and power. Anyhow the real reason, why humans got overpowered, was the gods would choose their champions from humanity thus those champions, would be seen as heroes by the church and made into historical figures. The so called ¡°Champions¡± would slaughter the innocents, without fail and without reason. Making it impossible for the other races to continue to survive and thus making them go extinct. Later on an ancient god that was slumbering awoke, due to the slaughter and punished the gods by their folly making them banished and took away from humanity their Mana and Ki. Several centuries later humanity forgot about the Gods existences, also the church powerhouses lost their hold and crumbled making an era of peace and unity. Yet after humanity expanded and ruled the world, wars started to descend on every powerful nation. The notions on which those nations started these wars were, trying to be the supreme ruler or just an ambitious ruler trying to make a name for himself by using war. Thus the age of war began without humanity having a common enemy they turned to themselves. Hence the age of war began or as humanity scholars called it ¡°The Age of Ruin¡±. Several decades later humanity has lost its technology, weaponry, culture and they¡¯re safe empires or their so-called ¡°Havens¡±. So humanity lost all its former glory and all their records regarding such things buried by the war. Later on small kingdoms formed. Here are the names of the kingdoms and what they specialized in, Kingdom of salutem; specialize in medicine and herbs. Kingdom of bellum; specialized in war. Kingdom of cognitio; specialized in knowledge. Kingdom of aedificium; speicalized in architecture and art of crafting. Prologue 1 (now we have our background, lets go to our main character) In the Kingdom of Salutem lived a caring prince, that was lovedundefined by his subjects and his people. His name was Bram, he lived trying to obtain knowledge and respect in his kingdom. He didnt care about fame or glory, he only cared about trying to help his kingdom continue prospering and having a stable economy. Prologue 1 ----Inside the palace, in the alchemy lab---- Bram: ¡°HAHAHAAHA, FINALY. Scholars said it might work in theory, however i made it become a fact. However this invention is too dangerous, well ill keep it in the treasury and wont sell it to the other kingdoms. Might as well show it to father and mother, i bet they will go insane! Maid: Prince Bram, The king wishes to see right away. Bram: Hmm, Oh Great! Just the person i was looking for. Might as well take this with me and clean up. -----POV King Jeffrey--- King Jeffrey: hmm, Bram seems to be spending more time in his god forsaken lab... he needs to go out more, maybe try find himself a girl or something. Queen Ellise: Honey you know, how he is. I highly doubt that would ever happen. He cares more about the kingdom and his subjects more than anything else. Also he enjoys inventing things more than human interactions. King Jeffrey: sigh....thats exactly the problem, he needs to go out more, try to be more sociable. So he wont get hurt by the people around him in the future. He needs to prepare himself. He is my only heir! The nobles inside the room, can only smile a dry smile. All their daughters tried seducing him. Yet, they werent able to attract him. They even started rumors, proclaiming he is gay! Even the commoners know this! Queen Ellise: well lets talk about that later, didnt you tell the maid to call for him? King Jeffrey: Oh yes indeed, i did. commander Micheal, did you inform the maid to call my son? Commader Micheal: Yes sire, i called for him. He shall be here shortly. ¡°Creek¡± Huge golden doors open and a handsome young man enters. Looks around his twenties, has light purple eyes and blonde hair. Tall and slime, not to thin yet not too skinny. The man walks up to the king and queen goes down on one of his knees and says. Prince Bram: Prince Bram, greets king jeffrey and queen Ellise. King Jeffrey and Queen Ellise, smile with warmth at their lovingundefined son. He was never arrogant always caring and respectable, however a bit antisocial. The nobles, nevertheless can only nods their heads at him. As in acknowledging his existence. Even though they tried more than once trying to get close to him. They never succeeded. Thus they can only curse him in their minds. King Jeffrey: Rise son, no need for formalities. We are after a family, aint that right my queen. Queen Ellise amused by her son antics as always smiles mischievously: Queen Ellise: indeed, maybe a small punishment would help straighten him up a bit. How about i get one of my friends daughters to have a dateundefined with you? Prince Brams face looses color the extent of become ashen gray, he knows his mother isnt joking. The last time she said something like, he was forced into going out with a snobby princes. Who couldnt stop talking about gossip, and the only reason she talked to him was because his kingdom is rich.....¡±what a dreadful memory it was, i had to escape by saying that i would be going to the bathroom however, as i went to the bathroom. I had to escape through the window. Bram shivers from that memory..... King Jeffrey: HAHAHAHAHA come on it wasnt that bad. You didnt even last the whole dateundefined, you jumped out of the window for Gods sake HAHAHAHAHAHAH. King jeffrey, Queen Ellise, the nobles and even the knights stationed around couldn''t help but laugh. Prince Bram, trying to change the subject as fast as possible: Prince Bram: Dad, mom i made a new potion.... Everyone in the room stopped laughing, they all knew how powerful Brams potions are. They are worth hundreds of gold in the kingdom. Thats one of the reasons the nobles tried getting close. They wanted the recipes of his potions to start exporting it and make a fortune....However, he would not agree. Even the noble John tried, but Bram simply refused him without care. He didnt even give him face! King Jeffrey: So, what is it this time? Immortality potion? I wouldnt be suprised, if that was it, your potions are a bit of a cheat in a way..... a bit too powerful if i might add. Prince Bram: Ha.....well this potion is a tad bit more powerful than the rest.....its a regeneration potion. It can speedundefined up the process of healing and can even regenerate lost body parts, however thats still in theory. I havent tested the regeneration of lost limbs. He nods at some of the nobles, he trusts signaling to them, that there will be a meeting. Prince Bram: Father, mother id like to give the both of you these two potions. King Jeffrey: Oh...well it sure is tempting. Queen Ellise: You sure outdone yourself this time...however if this information leaks out i cant even imagine what would happen... Prince Bram: Dont worry, that wont happen. I wont make more of these potions, i already destroyed the evidence of such a thing even existing in the lab. Only the kingdom treasury will have a couple sets of potions. -------POV nobles at nigh meeting under the graveyard---- Noble Steeve: So, what did you call us this time John? Is it about the potion, you know its impossible to get our hands on it. Noble Drick: I agree, that god forsaken prince will never share it with us! Noble John: Dont worry we dont need him.... The room falls into silence. Noble Steve:..... What do you mean? Noble John: we can sell the information to the kingdom of Bellum. You know how they are. Noble John Smiles menacingly. The nobles think about it, the plan does sound good. However how are they going to contact the king of Bellum? Noble Drick: The plan does sound tempting, neverthless how are you going to contact the king? The nobles agree with Drick, the plan does sound amazing however there is that problem. Noble john: No worries, ive had some bussiness transactions with the king. He will trust my word. Ive already sent a knight to report to him. All the nobles smile with glee. ------POV Knight Shon at the commanders office----- Knight Shon: Commander, im going to go to see my family. I havent seen them in a while ill be back within a week. Can i have my wage for this month? Commander micheal: Hmm... it has been a while hasn''t it. Well sure you can leave, heres 5gold for your wage this month. Try not to spend it in the brothel. Knight shon cracks a grin and leaves without saying a word. However as the knight was leaving the commander changed his facial expression to a cold one. He has been suspecting this knight for a while, a knight who drinks and goes to brothels!? Also proclaims he has a family outside the city? However when the commander was out hunting with his squad, he was close to the knights housing. So he decided to stop by and share some of the wild beasts he hunted. Neverthless, when he approached the house there was no one there. The place was abandoned and seemed abandoned for more than a year....Thus commander has been suspicious and has been sending out spies to follow knight Shon. Commader Micheal: You god damn bastard.....you think, im not on to you. Going out to the kingdom of Bellum making transaction and selling our kingdoms secrets!!! Ill tell the prince, he¡¯s the only one who is not busy. Kinght Shon a while later is seen speedingundefined off with his horse out of the kingdom, going to the kingdom of Bellum. After several days of traveling, he reaches the kingdom. As soon as he enters the kingdom, he speedsundefined off to the castle. As he nears the castle, he gets off his horse. Knight Shon: LONG LIVE THE KING! Castle Guard: LONG LIVE THE KING! Cross his arm at his chest. Knight Shon does the same, however theres a medal he holds as identification a symbol of a man with an axe slaughtering men. As soon the guard sees the symbol, he immediately bows and opens the way. Knight Shon soon enters the castle and goes straight to the king Ron. As he was walking inside, the knight didn''t even check his surroundings the whole time he was traveling, in spite of having been trained by the knights! Within the crowds was a single man staring at the knight entertaining palace. Without a word the man left in a hurry with a troubled face. Last part of the prologue! -------POV King Ron inside the palace chamber------- King Ron: Ugh....this period of peace and tranquility is a pain. I havent been this bored in such a long time. I CANT EVEN REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I SLAUGHTERED SOMEONE!! King Ron, has always been a battle maniac. Unlike most kings, here in the kingdom of Bellum; Kings must be proficient in war. They also should be the ones leading their armies in the battlefield. Due to this kings arent chosen by bloodline in this kingdom, but rather by a competition in the colosseum. Where its a free for all and the winnerundefined becomes king. Every 10 years the competition repeats, unless the king dies in war or in a unfortunate accident. squire: Sire! There is a knight from the kingdom of Salutum that seeks audience. He also says that, he has an important message from the noble John. The king stops, messing around, and looks straight at the squire. He thinks for a bit and then says. King Ron: Let him in and leave us. squire: As you command my liege. King Ron: everyone leave the hall. The nobles, look at their king in a weird way. However they obey. As the knight enters, he starts telling the king about the potion that the prince created. The king is shocked..He thinks about the offer, that the noble scumbag offers. Despicable yes, However even after a minute, he cant think straight, due to his greed. He wants war and this might be the best way to secureundefined it, without any loses. This potion can help him lead an army of immortals that can grow body parts without worry. A unstoppable army. The king agrees to the offer, thus the knight returns after a few days and he relays the kings response to the nobles. Noble John smiles a menacing smile, he then tells the knight to relay the message to the other nobles. Its time for the coup, the royal family wont know what hit them. -----POV commander Micheal----- Commander Micheal: WHAT?!.....He could even enter the palace! This seems alot bigger than, i thought. This fucking asshole seems to have bigger connectionsundefined than i do!! The spy doesnt say a word and waits for his command. Micheal, noticed him and dismissed him. Commander Micheal: seems like i have no choice, but to relay the information right this instant! As the commander was about to reach the door, he smells something odd. Commander Micheal: why do i feel dizzy all of a sudden? ....POISON! GOD DAMN BASTARDS!!! (The commander screams, however that particular night all the knights were sent to help stabilize a problem with the commoners and nobles. How could he have known. This was all a trap by the nobles to cut lose ends! Commander Micheal: I .... Haave too ...telll ...theee ...royalll ..familyy (The commander couldnt stand the poison and falls down and hits his head on the edge of the table thus making him pass out and shortly after a bit, he dies a shameful death) Shortly after a bit a maid walks in with a handkerchief on her nose, looks at the commander with cold eyes. She then proceeds to clean up to make it look like the commander left his office and burns his body. Thus no one would know the mighty commander died, they would only suspect, he was an a accomplice of the ¡°Regia Mortem¡± ( the day when the whole royal family was slaughtered like cattle). ------In the royal garden POV Prince Bram at night ----- Prince Bram: Hm....how fascinating! I wouldn''t think, that my potion would work on plants.... This can open a new path for my research! If i can duplicate the same procedure on a living specimen, and try to speedundefined it up then i can truly make an immortal potion. However the problem is, the human body wont be able to deal with the pain. Also some parts of human body wont regenerate. Thats a probability, i need a dog to try this on. The prince walks to a maid and asks her to bring him a dog to use for his experiments. The maid comes a while later holding a small puppy, that has white fur and light blue striking ice. Prince Bram: hm...not my first choice of a living specimen, however its better than nothing. Still a bit too young....well who cares. It could also give better data, due to the dog still in the processes of growing. Thus prince Bram started cutting small cuts on the dog and then applying some of the potion over these parts. The cuts would heal within 4 minutes, yet it would scream and whimper as if it was being tortured by a burning rod or something. Prince Bram: well the affects seem great, however there seems to be long term affects. If i am not mistaken this could lead to a person committing suicide, due to the torment he receives. Also the dog seems to also change psychologically as if it turned into a cold hearted predator. What terrifying results..... As Bram was pondering in how to fix the long term affects, he was suddenly hit from behind with the hilt of a sword and passed out cold. The maid that was there was suddenly stabbed from behind without even hearing a sound. After a couple of seconds shadows came out from the dark as if they were hounds, that have been waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When they moved they didnt even make a sound as if they weren''t living beings, just ghosts that do as they wish. Those were assassins that were hired by the nobles. The most dangerous and famous assassin guild within all the kingdoms. They dragged the prince away and took the maids corpse and threw it behind the bushes. Assassin Joe: Lets go, we have the prince time for the final part of the ploy. Afterwards we get our pay and leave this stupid kingdom! Assassin marry: Oh come on, the only reason you dont like it, is because the brothels are too expensive and fancy for ya! Hehehe. Assassin Joe kept his mouth shut, even though in his mind he was cursing this whore. He wanted to retort, however who''s stupid enough to answer this psychopath. She''s one of the elites in the assassins guild no one misses with her, she once killed a fellow assassin just for calling her bitch..... Thus the group of assassins left to the castle to meet with the nobles to get this over with. -----POV prince Bram---- Prince Bram: Ugh......fucking hell, why does my head feel like i got stomped by a stamped of horses. Noble John: Why, good afternoon prince. Isn''t it a lovelyundefined evening? Prince Bram: Huh.....noble john??why are you dressed like an assassin? Noble Steve: Shut the fuck kid just tell us how you made the potion! Prince Bram:Ahaa....why would i do that, also why am i tied up? Is this a sort of prank or something? Noble John:Pffttttt HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Noble john couldnt help, but burst out laughing. This stupid prince didnt even think that he was betrayed and was thinking this is a prank??! All the nobles started laughing even the assassins. Prince Bram was confused, whats so funny? He didnt say a joke...or did i?? He started questioning himself. Assassin marry: Hehehehehe, what a stupid prince. You are kidnapped and we have your whole family here. So tell us how you made the potion or everyone from your family will die! She then gestures for the other assassins to bring in his family. Couple of second later they brought a bunch of people in chains and passed out. Even the assassins are no exceptions. Yet only one person is still not able to comprehend, what just happened. Prince Bram feels like his mind switched off. Noble john:ah.....well that was a bit too much He then looks at the prince to see what happened to him, because he hasnt said a word. The noble then figures it out they broke the poor prince..... Noble john: well fuck!!couldnt you slit her throat!! SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!! Assassin marry: oh...ops tehe. When marry said tehe, when she was still bathed in blood everyone felt that they were scarred for life. The image of a beautiful lady bathed in blood saying such a word, broke some of their logic. Noble steve finally wakes up from his daze and looks at the prince. Noble Steve:OY WAKE UP!! Prince Bram: doesnt respond just stares blankly at his mothers corpse. Noble steeve cant stand it anymore after a couple of minutes, so he started beating up the princes! Neverthless the prince didnt make a sound or move, he didnt even blink just stared at his dead mother. Noble John: great we fucked up, kill everyone and carry the prince. Lets hope he wakes up and starts telling us how he made the potion. Everyone agrees and started slaughtering everyone, without any remorse or pity. After they were done they left the castle that was stained in blood as if this was nothing but a simple stroll through the park. After 4 days the prince finally awoke, weak and fragile. He looked at the guards in front of him and the room, when finally he comprehended what happened. His eyes become red as if they were made out of blood and started to cry with tears of blood! Prince Bram: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! His scream, was hoarse and filled with pain and misery. Everyone who heard, felt frightened as if a demon from hell was awoken. The screams even reached the servants in the palace, his voice continued until it reached the king. The king who was already ashamed enough with what he did, felt even worse as he heard the voice that was filled with pain. Everyone, who heard the voice instantly felt frightened. Everyone no one was an exception the mightiest of warriors, who would never fear death felt fear for the first time. After 10 minutes of screams the voice finally stopped, everyone felt as if the person who screamed was screaming for hours without end. Although it was only 10 minutes. The guards immediately woke up from their daze and went to the place, where the screams originated from. Only to find a body on the ground that seemed dead, they panicked this prisoner was important to the kingdom and they all went to check on him. When they flipped him, they were horrified and screamed like little girls. The body was leaking blood from his eyes, nose and even his ears.....the prince of Salutem, died the most horrifying death anyone could imagine. The guards were petrified and went to the king. When the king heard the information, he was dazed for a while. When he comprehended what has happened, he was filled with anger, shame, pity and alot more shame... King Ron: .....what have i done! Bring all the nobles from Salutem, i want them here now. An hour later all the nobles were in front of the king, wondering what has happened? Noble John: What is it my king? Why have you called us all of a sudden? All the nobles were asking the same question. Although some of them felt something amiss, due to the facial expression of the king. It felt like he ages 10 years in a single day.... King Ron: Dont call me your king SCUM !!.....The prince died.....He died screaming with rage, pain and mizery. 4 days, he didnt eat, sleep, drink or even go the bathroom.... his eyes, nose and ears all bleed... When the king finished the sentence everyone felt like something broke within them. He died such a horrifing death.....and they couldnt even get the potion. King Ron: For what you have done....to that child, i cant even bring myself to imagine! You promised a potion not the death of a royal family without even the GOD DAMN POTION!! YOU HAVE DOOMED MY KINGDOM AND BROUGHT THE RAGE OF AN ENTIRE KINGDOM TO MY DOOR STEP DEMANDING MY BLOOD! Everyone couldnt utter a word. King Ron: i havent felt ashamed in my whole life, however now i feel like i dont deserve life. All of you god forsaken nobles, who betrayed your own kingdom and didnt even deliver your promise will be executed for high treason and for that miserable soul that will hunt us forever.... The Spirit realm is separated into three realms, Caelum a place for people that have no sin and have done good deeds. Infernum a place for people, who sin. Last and not least Interium a place neither heaven or hell. A place in between Caclum and Infernum, only people that are neither good or bad and cant be judged come to this place. Thus they are cleansed in the river of Oblitus a river that has the power to make you forget, who you are. An irreversible change, that even the god cant doing anything about. This river is used for souls that wish to be reborn again in the mortal realm. No god rules these lands only primordial beings that were born with the world can do such a thing. If a god were to come here, he would be obliterated. Turned into nothingness by a primordial being called chaos. A being that has no definite shape, a being that constantly changes never being in one form for too long. If someone were to look into his eyes they would see explosions happening within them, and galaxies forming. Thus no being is stupid enough to cause problems in such a place, EVEN GODS DIE! However deep within the forest located in Caclum a soul was traversing through the forest. As it was walking it would often see other souls happy and cheerful. As the soul watched them it felt disdain, it didnt want any of this SHIT! IT WANTS REVENGE! It wants to drive humanity into the brink of extinction, even though Bram is human. He simply doesnt care anymore. It decided to never live as a human again, a life filled with greed, lust and betrayal. WHO WANTS THAT! Before those fucking nobles and that fucking king of Bellum came to his life, he lived a simple life. He didnt want to interact with anyone, because of their desires were all selfish. They wanted power, money, women and if someone had something they didn''t they would crave for it and feel jealous! They would even kill to get what they want! Such beings dont deserve anything! They just keep on taking without giving like the void. Thus as such, he developed a new mentality to keep himself from giving up, that is to never trust humans again! Never love humans either, he doesnt want to deal with a race that has no clear goal just desire for more than they can handle or even deserve. Although all of this is exaggerated hatred, yet he lost all logic after what he has gone through! Thus he became narrow minded in this particular subject. Anyhow as he was walking he saw a striking couple that reminded him of his family! They acted the same, yet looked different. However at that moment his mind went blank, as if he experienced a black out! Nevertheless with his mentality now as it is, it created a defense mechanism to help protect his mind from too much shock. After such an experience, it seems as if he adapted. So... he did the only thing logical, his brain has registered humans as dangerous life forms and thus the slughter began . After a bunch of days he has slaughtered thousands of souls. . As Bram was in his terminator mode and his mind was blank, he didnt notice that, he was absorbing souls. Even if he did, what could he do to explain such a phenomenon. It was too bizarre! The souls that were being collected got absorbed into his soul! Such a thing changed his soul it mutated and started becoming closer to the soul of a god! However that wouldn''t show, it will depend on himself trying to unravel his mysterious soul. All of this phenomenan started ever since he was broken down in the mortal realm and beaten up by the noble called steeve! As Steeve was beating up Bram he hit bunch of the experimental immortal potions and a bunch of regeneration potions. As he was getting beaten up in his blank state, the bottles were crushed and mixed in with his body and even ripped his soul apart. This happened, because of the immortal potion. It ripped his soul, while the regeneration potion was repairing it. Thus a struggle happened thats one of the reasons. He took a longer amount of time to wake up from his broken daze the amount of pain he experienced exceeded the threshold of any living organism. Thus when he woke up the scream was filled with all the pain he experienced with the misery, anger and endless amount of dread! His scream was the final stage of the process and he died. However the soul kept intact and mutated! When he finally woke up from his frenzy, he found himself in a dark cave. With no light, yet there was a substantial amount of wind. Bram: seems like there is a current....meaning there is something that way, might as well check it out. He started walking until he reached a pond inside the cave, there was light from the crystals that were neon blue. The view was beautiful, it took him a few minutes to stare in awe.
