《Bright Night Online》 Prologue - Wilderness Prologue ¨C Wilderness Deep in the forest know as '' Lost forest '' because many people get lost, there lives a rare species of wolves known as '' Shadow wolves '' they are fast, can hide thier aura and can control dark mana. Dark mana is tha same as normal mana except its cold and black colored instead of the normal white colour and warm feeling mana has. Yes there is magic in this world and its basically as common as electricity in yours. Mana powers everything from your car to your mobile phone. Mana is everywhere. Now back to the forest ¡­ ¡°honey do you think we''ve gone deep enough ?¡± a female voice said. ¡°yea i think this is where they said the wolves would be and that we should stay away from here ¡° a hoarse male voice replied. ¡°ok, just dump it and get out of here, this place gives me the creeps¡± the woman said *bang * a bundle of cloth fell with a muflfed sound on the ground and the male and female left the forest thourgh the route they came. A little further from where the people dumped thier bundle a group of wolves was hunting for dinner, and came in the direction of the bundle of cloth. *sniff sniff * one of the wolves sniffed the bundle and looked at the others, then picked it carefully in his beak and signaled the others to keep hunting while ''she '' returned to thier cave. In the cave the female wolf carfully rolled the bundle of cloth to reveal a sleeping baby of at most a few weeks old. The wolf licked its face and the baby slowly opend his eyes they were very dark blue and it looked as if the child was about to die but the wolf curled around the baby and warmed it with its body heat like a mother would to thier child and waited for the other wolves to return with food. Hours passed and the ''mother wolf'' heard something closing in and twisted her ears to the sound. The other wolves had returned and brought a handful of rabbits and other small animals. When they saw the female standing above a human child they growled at it but still gave the food the female needed. The female took a bite off the rabbit and placed it before the baby who was sleeping and gave it a little push with its nose to wake it. The child woke and looked at the wolves, strangely it did not even cry and grabbed the mother wolfs head and started nibbling on her ears. The wolf shook her head and pushed the child to the meat. The chiled looked at it and then at the wolf as if asking what it was. The female wolf then bit of a piece of meat for herself and ate it to show that it was food. As if the baby understood it it picked up the meat with its mouth and ate it. after it ate the meat it started to cry loudly. The female wolf slowly walked to it and curled around its body to comfort the baby. The other wolves seeing this growled at the baby and some even tried to bite it but the female wolf shielded the baby and growled back as if saying '' ill take care of it '' or ''i want this child'' or something. The other wolves could only give up as she was the alfa of the pack. After a few days the baby started acting like a wolf too and its eyes had turned in the same color as the wolves, a pure white even the pupil was white, not the hazy white like that of those who are born blind but a clear as snow white. After months of living with the wolves the child learned how the wolves controlled and cultivated thier mana and he became much stronger and faster than a normal huan child of a few months old would be. After a year the boy leane how to comunicate with the wolves through telepathy and he spoke with them in thier launguage wich was actually similar to human launguage. Altough the wolves could not really speak like humans unless they used telepathy, the child could and the ''mother'' wolf tought him everything she knew and so the child leanred to speak in human and wolf language. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. Nearly 5 years have passed and the child is now going through his rite of passage or so they call it, to be accepted in the pack by all other wolves. To be accepted he has to hunt three black horned deer, wich are carnivorous deer with two antlers like any other deer but in addition to that they have a sharp 50 cm horn on the center of thier heads and sharp dagger like teeth. The child roamed the forest looking for his pray when he hears rustling sounds a bit ahead of him so he activated his stealth skill that all young wolves learn and closed in on the noise. What he found was a flock of 6 black horned deer, 4 adullt males and 2 young ones. In his stealth mode the child walked furthest away from the deerlings and peed on a tree and made some loud noises. The adult deer looked towards the noise and slowly aproached it while leaving the deerling behind thinking it was better not to drag them towrds the danger. Once the adult stags were out of sight the wolf child silently attacked the deerlings from behind slitting thier throats with his sharp claws and dragged them back to his ''mother'' to show he succeded the trial. Once the other wolves saw him bringing two black honred deerlings they all stepped back with tails between thier legs. Even they could not beat those beast so easily and tought if they made him do it he would die. The only one who was happy was ofcourse the ''mother'' of the child as she stood proudly next to her ''son'' and howled to the bright moon wich was hanging in the sky. All animals in the forest became silent as this meant that there was another wolf in thier pack and they all knew thet those wolves were the most dangerous in the whole forest together with the deer that lived there. Now that the child has been officialy accepted in the wolf pack the ''mother''was finaly allowed to name her child she chose to call him ''White Shadow'' as the child had long white hair covering his body instead of the black the other shadow wolves had. White is now 10 years old and is now able to talk to other animaos aswell and he''s having fun in his daily life, his ''mother'' told him that he could mate with other wolves now but something inside his head told him that he shouldn''t, that it was wrong to do it, so he didn''t. Four odd years have passed and ''white'' has become the new alpha of the pack as his ''mother ''has become too old and weak now and he was the strongest of the pack of 10 wolves. The pack thrived when he became the alpha, they got more food and more youg ones and they also had another lone wolve join the pack. During the late night hunting that white joined he smelled something wierd coming from the borders of his territory and went to investigate. What he found was an odd creature that smelled like metal and had a very fast speed as it crashed into a tree and exploded, what came out of the creature was a human with blood and wounds all over his body. *sniff sniff * he sniffed it and ran back to the den to ask his ''mother'' what it was because he couldn''t identify it. Half an hour later he came back with his ''mother'' to the metal creature and what came out of it. when the ''mother''saw the human she first growled and then slowly aproached it and told ''white'' that it was a creature from outside of the forest and that they should not provoke it. white asked if they should help it or leave it. A day later . . .. . . Hope you guys enjoyed this first chapter ? I am just starting to write and am not really good at it i think. I would love to be told what you guys think of the intro also i get my ideas partialy form storys i''ve read and some from what i think of myself. I mnight just stop writing if i no longer feel motivated but i will try my best for this story. English is not my main language so please point out any mistakes i have made. Thanks \( ''w'' )/ Chapter One - The Lost Woods Chapter One ¨C The Lost Woods Mr Sherman- *triingg tringg * I wake up from the ringing of my phone. ¡° hello ?¡± i say in a groggy voice as i just woke up. ¡° Sorry to wake you at a time like this Mr.Sherman im Jack from Sunlight coporation¡± a man answers as if i''m supposed to understand who he is. Annoyedly i reply ¡° Could you call me back ? It''s too early to be talking about things ¡° to which the man falls silent for a while and when i was about to hang up he said ¡°Mr.Sherman we would like your cooperation in making a new virtual reality game system¡± which caught my interest and i instatnly woke up. ¡°w-w-wWhat did you just say ?!¡±i replied stuttering from excitement. ¡°I would like to meet you in person to explain it all to you sir, would you be able to come out of your house? We have a car outside waiting for you¡± the man said unaffected by my sudden excitement. ¡°i''ll be right out sir just wait a minute!! ¡° i said hirriedly thinking he might change his mind. I hastly put on the first clothes i saw which were a t-shirt with a wolf head on it and a normal pair of jeans, plain black sneakers and a gray jacket. I walked out of my house and saw a black limousine standing infront of it which gave me quite a shock. ''i expected a cab or something'' i thought to myself. As i walked closer the drivers door opened and a 50-60 year old man stepped out and asked ¡° are you Mr.Sherman ?¡± to which i nodded, still i was quite surprised by the limo and stared at it until the driver opened the door for me and told me to get in. Inside there were a few bottles of liquor but i merely glanced at them as i didnt''t drink any alcohol. Across from me there sat a man of about 30 years old, he looked at me as if inspecting mmy clothing and then chuckled. ¡°good afternoon Mr.Sherman ¡° the man said. ¡°good day sir, who might you be ? ¡°i asked skipping all politeness as i was quite suprised by all that had happened. ¡°i am CEO of Sunlight Coporation the worlds biggest vrmmorpg game distributor world wide, Jack Gales¡± the man -jack- said ¡° ¡­ ¡° i couldn''t even utter a single word as this man was the man i admired the most i just asked what his name was to sound cool and important hahaha. . . this man made all the famous games the world nowadays played. He wasn''t the first to make a vr game but he made the first 50% real feel game called ''sunlight'' which has been the most populair game for the past 5 years. After a few minutes of silencce the car started driving without me noticing due to being in a daze from excitement. ''this is so amazing ¡­ i am sitting infront of the most famous person alive!!''. After regaining composure i asked ¡° you said something about wanting my help for a new VR game on the phone if i remember correctly ?¡± ¡°yes we have read your files and we figured you would be one of the best people to invite as you have been the best hacker and graphic designer i have ever seen¡± he said looking at my facial response to see if i showed any discomfort which i didn''t as i am very proud of my hacking skills. I also own a small desinger company which doesn''t run well due to being to far away form the city but my customers are always 100% satisfied with my results.¡± thankyou sir for your compliments ¡° i said a bit humble and a bit prooud. ¡° we want you to help us make our game 100% secure and unable to hack aswell as your help designing some of the maps¡± Jack said to which i replied ¡° i dont think 100% secure is possible for any system but i can make it 99% as there will always be a way in any system no matter how secured it is, as for the maps i would love to but ¡­ how will i profit from this ? ¡° all i thought about was profit, altough i am not a greedy person i would never help anyone for free as money is what keeps people alive and living .. no? Upon hearing me talk about profit the man smiled wryly as he hadn''t thought that would be the first thing i''d bring up, but well yeah im a direct kinda guy as i don''t beat around the bush. Jack piked up a cheque block and wrote down something on it and showed it to me. I almost chocked at what i saw there and asked ¡° ill get that much each year ?! ¡° to which Jack laughed and said slowly ¡° no Mr. Sherman you get this each month ¡­ ¡° I litteraly fainted from excitement this time ¡­ the number he wrote down was 2.000.000 $ that is two million dollars !! each month!! After about an hour i woke up again as the limo stopped driving. The driver opened the door and asked me to leave the limo. As i stepped out we were in the city and standing infront of a tall building of which i couldn''t even see the top. Once inside i was once again shocked at how big it was. The bottom floor had a f*cking pool with a water slide that went up 3 floors ¡­ i was speechless ''is this a playground or a company building '' i thought. Jack had already walked ahead and waited at the elevators for me. Inside the elevator i saw this building had 146 floors ¡­ 146 floors that f*cking crazy i tought. We were going to the top floor which was as i assumed Mr.Jack as he''s called by everyone''s office. ¡­ i was wrong, he said this is the meeting room where he has the important decisons about the company. He told me his office was in the basement of the building as he was afraid that a building as tall as this one would someday fall over or something. After entering the office i was offered some coffee or tea but i askked for water. After recieving the glass of water the meeting started. ¡°so as you know we want you to make a safty system aswell as some maps four our new game which has been in development for 10 years now¡± Jack started with this shocking sentence. ¡°we have been developing a special pod much better than the one we are currently using as the new one will be able to sustain body funtions for a whole month and even make your body stronger like the ingame character due to new nano tech we have been producing. Tough it is not perfect yet and we would probably need 5 or more years to finish the tech to be availeble for the public we are making great progress. We are about to start making our game content for the new pods but we don''t have enough staff and programmers like you just yet. We are going for a 99% realism in the game and no limits for the maps so that even level 1 players could enter a level 100 area should they have the bad luck of stumbling upon it. and we want the enviroment to look as real as possible adnd we have seen the things you make. So hereby we would like to officialy hire you under the condition you do not disclose any ot the information of the game and things we make here¡± j/ack explained his goasl and i accepted as i truly love games and am now able to make one myself ( and with other people obviously) -- 7 years later, ''whoaaa its almost done i just need a few more things like the '' lost rose '' but i have never seen one and only heard story''s of them, I must go to the ''lost forest'' to find one and use it''s design for my forest in the game!!'' its the company rule : only use what you have seen in real life and make it look lifelike. So i told Jack that i wanted to go to the lost forest to find the rose and he laughed at me and told me to forget about the damn rose, but i was persistent so he gave me a jeep to go into the forest to look for it. Some months later in the forest. ¡°i have been searching for months why cant i find the damn flower... maybe i need to go even deeper into the forest.¡± shivers ran down my spine as i tought of the horrors deep within the forest but i really wanted to find the ''lost rose '' it''s one of the rarest flowers in the world, it has a black stem white veins on it and the rose itself is white with a rainbow colored light around it at night. After a few days driving my car suddenly brokedown and i crashed into a tree. ''is this the end ? Am i going to die now? NO!!! i cant die yet.... I HAVE TO SURVIVE¡± i tought in my head and crawled out of the burning car and dragged myself to a tree to rest. *Rustle * * Rustle * i heard something coming closer and felt a warm breath on me ''this is it imma die, it''s gonna eat me!'' i tought but it left again and i sighed a breath of relief but after half an hour it was back again and this time not alone, there was a big black wolf with white eyes infront of me looking at me with a strange kind of expression in its eyes, it was not hostility though... Restless i looked around and saw four bright white eyes staring at me. I quickly tried to stand up but hit my head on something hard, i realized i must be in a cave or something... then i heard a wierd sound it sounded like one of the wolves was trying to speak... ¡°grr gghh hrro ¡° one of the wolves turned its head but i just looked at it dumbfounded as i didnt understand what it said ¡° hrrlo ¡° the wolf sounded like it said hello i think. . . .''did i go crazy ? Sinds when can wolves speak'' then the wolf cxam closer but what i felt wasn''t a hairy paw but more something like a hand as it dragged me out of the cave, what i saw shocked me so much. It was a kid of about 15 years old or something a KID!! in the Lost woods ? HOW, I tought. ¡°hello i am Sherman¡± i said to the kid. It looked at me in surprise as if it understood, but then ran back in the hole and came back with a big black wolf. I litteraly pied my pants from the scare and tried to run but when i turned around there were more wolves on the other side of me. ¡°hrllo shrmn¡± the kid said and growled at the other wolves who then backed off a bit. ¡°can you understand me kid¡± i said. The kid nodded and then said ¡°me shadow wolf¡± the kid said. ''is that his name?'' i tought and asked ¡°is that your name ?¡± to which he nodded. ¡°i alphr wolv, whr r shrmn herr¡± white said walking around me. * grumble* my stomach rumbled and all wolves were suddenly on edge and stepped closer to me. ¡°Do you have food ? ¡° i asked and white ran back in the cave and came back with a rabbit with some bitemarks on it and ripped a piece off and dropped infront of me... White Shadow- The creature me and mother found woke up a little while ago and i could speak with it tough i don''t think he understood it that well. After a while the creatuer''s body made a grumbling noise and it asked ¡° do you have food? ¡° and i ran back in the den and brought a rabbit and dropped it infront off it. it looked confused so i ripped a piece oof and ate it to show it what to do... i asked mother what to do and she gave me a great idea '' use telepathy my son'' she said trough telepathy. Ofcourse why didn''t i think of that so i used telepathy '' hello sherman this is rabbit for you.'' i said and he was shocked and said out loud ¡° you can use telepathy ?!¡± and i nodded thinking it was normal. ''you won''t eat the rabbit ?'' i asked looking at him with a tilted head . ¡° c-can i use fire to roast it ?¡± the sherman asked '' what is fire and roast '' i asked as i never heard of those things which aperently surprised the sherman as he looked at me confused again and grabbed something from inside his skin.... it was a small square thing and as it made a clicking sound a small sun came from it so we all( me and the other wolves ) backed away from the small sun. Mother told me sun is dangerous. Looking at our actions the sherman laughed. After a few seconds nothing happend and the sherman asked ¡° can you give me some pieces of wood? ¡° to which i nodded and ran off and came back 5 minutes later with a tree as mother told me a tree is made of wood or wood is made of tree. And the sherman laughed again and asked to meke smaller peices of it so i broke the tree with my claws and gave it to the sherman who piled it up and grabbed some leaves and put the sun on the leaves and a bigger sun was made ¡­ we all backed off and stared at the sherman who put the poor bunny in the sun. Looking at us the sherman he said to me ¡°don''t worry the fire won''t hurt you ¡° to which i looked surprised and asked '' why are you putting the bunny in sun ? '' to which he replied ¡°this is fire not the sun, the sun is in the sky¡± me and all the wolves looked up in fear but all we saw was the moon '' but in the sky is the moon? '' the sherwod started laughing again and sait that at noght the moon is in the sky and at day the sun and that he was roasting the meat which is basically putting the meat in ''fire'' to make it taste better. ''so the bunny will be more goood now ?'' i asked as he took the bunny off the stick in the ''fire'' and started eating so i asked if i could have a piece of the bunny and he gave me some and it was truly much better after which i told all wolves to get some bunnys to ''roast'' themselves. That night the volves learned a new thing, ''roasted bunny is wonderfull''. After eating the sherman asked me what i was doing amongst the wolves which surprised me greatly as i replied '' i am a wolf mother raised me, why would i not be amongst my kind'' to which mother and the man both looked at me strangely. Mother came closer and said something that shocked me ''son i haven''t told you this before but you are not a wolf, i have found you when you were still a human baby'' i asked what a human was and she said that the sherman was a human. '' the sherman is human ?'' i asked mother confused and said that sherman is probably the huans name so i asked the human '' what are you ?'' and he said ¡° i am human ? ¡°. i looked back at mother and asked '' why am i wolf if i am human ? '' to which mother said '' humand left you in the woods and i found you and choose to raise you'' ''so i am not wolf ¡­ then i am human ? '' as i asked mother why i was left she said she didn''t know. Then sherman the human asked something off topic ¡° do you happen to know where i can find the lost rose ? It is a white rose with colored light around it¡± which made me think and i said '' you mean the rainbow night flower ? '' as he heard that name he looked reaally happy and said ¡° Yes! I think so ¡° I led the human together with mother to a fieldd of rainbow night flowers and the man started kneeling and crying while looking at the flowers... ''what is wrong human ?'' i asked, he said he was fine and asked if he could take one flower with him to the humans so i asked mother if she could and she said only if he offered something to the fields. As i told him that he ran back to what he called a bag and showed it to me and mother *sniff sniff * me and mother inspected it, it smelled like seeds for yellow seedd flowers which are often taken by the birds so we accepted it and he took one of the flowers. After he got the flower he asked the way out of the woods to which mother told me '' you should go with the human and live with other humans '' i replied '' NO! I want to stay with mother!'' ''I know kid but i will still live for over a hundred years so go try being among your own kind for a while, if you do not like it you can just come back here'' mother reasurred me so i asked sherman if i couldd come along to the human territory and he looked really happy and asked if i''d be fine living with him to wich i said yes as i didn''t know any other place i would go to anyways. A week later we finaly got to the edge of the forest and said goodbye to mother while crying and told her to find a good new alpha for the pack. And now we were waiting for a ''car '' as Sherman called it. After several minutes of waiting i got bored so i asked sherman to tell me about the human world and what it was like. He told me that there were a lot of ''machines'' which were things made mostly out of metals that can ddo a lot of things like build, farm, help with healing people they can even walk your pet. So i asked what a pet was and he told me humans keep animals like dogs and rabbits in their homes to feed and touch them for fun.... i think that is cruel but he said the animals are okay with that... atleast he things so. He also told me humans rely on this thing called a mana net wich powers all thier machines like cars and ''lights'' whatever that is. He also told me about houses wich are like caves but above ground and they can become really big and can even reach the sky he said. I am getting interested in this thing called a city which is like a lot of very big and tall houses together... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello here is the first real chapter i hope it''s long enough and that you enjoyed it. I am still getting the story started and might have a really slow start but i hope you all can bear with it and .. i hope i can keep myself motivatedd and inspired lol. Have any suggestions ? see any mistakes ? please notify me in comments below also if you have tips on better words to use in some situations please tell me as i would like to improve my writing to make it better for all of you. Chapter Two – So this is a City Chapter Two ¨C So this is a City As the car came closer i paid a lot attention to is becuase it was something i had never seen before, It wasn''t much higher than me when i stood on my hind legs but it still fit more than one person in it. This car thing was quite mysterious. It also made a low grumbling sound when it moved like it was not happy but i couldn''t understand its words so i asked Sherman who told me it was just the engine moving... The engine appeared to be some form of machine that Mr.Sherman told me about before. Also when the car driver saw me he asked Mr.Shermond who i was so i said with telepathy ''i am White Shadow former alpha of the Shadow wolves'' proudly while showing my fangs a bit and shocked the man, when i did that Mr. Sherman told me to not reveal my fangs to people nor tell them i was raised by wolves as that would scare them away. I was confused ''why can''t i tell them about mother and my brothers? ¡­ wahy would humans be scared of my fangs?'' when i asked Mr. Sherman he said it was because normaly humans don''t have fangs and he showed me his teeth which were flat and only a few had small points unlike mine which were all razor sharp like the other wolves. They ( mr shermont and driver ) were quite surprised about my fangs haha. On the long way to Mr. Shermonts house he told me more about the city and that he lived a little bit away from the city because he didn''t really like the city because it was very crowded. On the way he also told me about something called a ''dive pod'' which lets people play ''virtual reality'' ''games'' i didn''t really understand what those things were but they sounded really amazing they way he spoke about them. After a long seven hour drive we finally reached his house and it was very big like it could house 4 whole packs of shadow wolves without any of them fighting over the terrirtory. When we entered he showed me all kind of metal and glass things like windows which were walls you could see through and glasses wich were like mini lakes where you could keep your water in and bring it around with you! Humand sure have it easy they have this thing called a bathutub where you can even clean your fur and swim in. This is really amazing! Then he brought me to the room he had his servant which is like someone from his pack whom he can order around to make up for me so that i could sleep there. There was this big egg like thing next to the ''bed'' where i should sleep on, he said that was the dive pod for the games he told me about. When i entered my room and raised my leg to mark my territory i was stoped by Mr. Sherman as he said i dodn''t need to do that, when i asked him how others would know that it''s my room he said humans just write their name on the door for that. I thought he was tricking me i ran around the house and did indeed not smell any of Mr. Sherman''s pee so i concluded that he was indeed telling me the truth so i walked back on my two legs like a human and clawed '' White Shadow'' on the door in human letters which sherman had thought me before, it was really easy to learn atleast for me it was. ~ After a night of rest i woke up early to go hunt for breakfast and came back with a gray rabbit i found outside of the house on the big grassfield owned by mr sherman. When i came back in the house Mr. Sherman was almost scared to death by my prey as he forgot i was raised by wolves and lived off meat haha he told me to try some human food called ''cereals with milk'' so i did and spit it out the second it entered my mouth and yelled ¡° irr horrblrr¡± ( its horrible ) and ran back to the rabbit i had to leave outside of the house and ate that instead. ''human food is horrible, who would eat such tasteless things'' i thought as i enjoyed my rabbit scaring the personal servant of Mr sherman. While i was eating i hear something odd, it sounded like a car. I ran back in the house and warned mr sherman that there was a car coming to his house and he said it musd be Jack who''s coming over. 30 minutes later . *Ding dong! * i heard a loud noise mr sherman told me that this was the ''doorbell'' another one of human inventions telling you there is someone at the door. As i opened the door i saw a man which must be Jack so i greeted him with telepathy as my human speech isn''t realy good. He was startled by the voice in his head i guess because he stepped back a little bit but then walked in and asked me ¡° who are you ? Also where is mr sherwood ?¡± without replying i walked to the other room where sherwood was. ¡°Jack how are you ! ¡° mr sherwood said sheerfully. Startling Jack again. Haha this jack is funny he jumped when he heard mr sherwood speak haha. ¡° yo sherwood, who''s kid is this? Why doesn''d he speak ?¡± to which mr sherwood said ¡° well to tell you the truths its a crazy story i''ll tell you but don''t spread it around please ¡° and so he told me about the car crash and me and the wolves i lived with and how he found the flower he was looking for and showed jack the flower which at the moment looked like a normal flower as it only glowed at ''night'' not when it''s just dark. After jack left Mr. Sherman told me he had to go to his work tomorrow and that he would teach me to speak latr today and that i could keep manny the servant company and that he would tell me anything i didn''t know. And so Mr. Sherman told me how to speak and told his servant to also help me understand words and how to pronounce them. After a week with Mr. Sherman and Manny i learned how to properly introduce myself and say hello and things like that, i liked the introduction from Jack that day ''Yo'' a lot so i will be using that one. So today when Mr. Sherman cam home from work i waited at the door and said ¡°yo good day Mr. Sherman¡± when he entered and he gave me a pat on my head which felt strange but also funny. As for dinner we had beef and some chicken legs which tasted a lot like the big birds i caught one day but the chicken tasted better when it was baked. But i still liked to hunt rabbits for breakfast, Mr. Sherman didn''t mind but Manny told me to not hunt too colose to home because he couldn''t stand the blood he had to clean everytime. ~~ I''ve been living with Mr Sherman for one whole month now and i can speak decently now. Today i asked if i could go with Mr. Sherman to his work and see the city since i have never seen a city before in person, only on the computer i have in my room which i got form Mr. Sherman. Mr. Sherman said if i could spaek properly and not run on four legs and act human and not growl, howl or pee publicly and do everything a normal human does i can come but if i act ''wolfish'' i will have to go home and won''t be allowed to go to the city again so i promised i would behave. After a long cardrive we finaly reached the outskirts of the city which looked quite small as the houses were not even half that of Mr. Sherman''s and i asked why that was so, apperently these people are the lower class ¨C poor people, which means they don''t have much money to buy bigger houses. Next we entered the middle class area where the houses slowly got bigger and then in the ''center'' of the city were huuuge towers even bigger than most trees in the forest which made me admire them quite a bit. The car stopped a lot and the driver explained that that was because of traffic lights or something they are colored lights that tell you if you can go ahead of have to stop, wierd huh? Why would humans listen to lights ? It didn''t make sense to me so i gave up trying to understand human logic. Finally we reached our destination : Sunshine Corporation HQ a big building towering above almost all of the other buildings. Once inside i was stupefied by the size, much like haw Serman was when he first enterd but for me it soon passed over as i got distracted by the masses of people walking everywhere it was quite a scene to see for someone who has never seen more than 3 humans at once haha. When we reached the elevator Mr. Sherman told me not to get scared by the air pressure from the elevator, i didn''t know what he meant untill suddenly the elevator shot up with a speed so fast i got dizzy from the pressure. When we reached the top floor i was greeted by a beautifull scene of clouds and mountains off in the distance it was quite breathtaking then we entered a meeting room with around 20 people including Jack whom i instantly recognised due to his strong ''parfume'' he wore. ¡° hello everyone, this is my adopted son, he''s called White¡± Mr. Sherman said when we entered the room. All people looked at me with questioning eyes so i shyly stood half behind Mr. Sherman and said ¡° h-hello im White ¡° while looking at everyone. Jack coughed and everyone came back to their senses. Some still glanced in my direction but when they made eye contact they quickly turned away... i heard whispers like ¡° what''s with his eyes, he has no pupils ¡° and similar things so i asked Sherman if i could explain to them its a side effect of my magic cultivation and said i could so i did. First i cought a bit to draw thier atention and said¡± I am quite uncomfortablle with all the whispering about my unusual eyes so i will answer your questions ¡­ no i am not blind it''s a side effect of the magic cultivation i am practicing¡± they all looked at me in disbelief. ¡° are you saying you are a mage ? ¡° one of the women in the room asked in a disdainful tone to which i replied ¡° yes i guess i am since i can use dark magic i must be a mage no ?¡± silence reigned through the room and for a full three minutes no one spoke and all stared at me with mixed emotions some fear some hatred and some a kind of admiration, i was quite uncomfortable ''this is worse than the whispers about my eyes ¡­'' i thought inside my head looking at sherman to help me. ¡° calm down people he''s not evil just because of his magic attribute right ? ¡° Jack said before Sherman could say anything and everyone turned to him ¡° that may be so but isn''t dark magic forbidden ??¡±a man said ''my magic is forbidden ? Why would this great kind of magic be forbidden ??'' i was confused about it but couldn''t help but ask ¡° why is it forbidden ?¡± everyone once again looked at me and i was quite scared of these humans, though i knew they couldn''t even scratch my skin they still made me feel fear ¡­ humans are scary. Then one man said ¡° i heard nothing lets forget about it, this kid obviously isn''t evil and he''s quite cute hahaha ¡° everyone nodded and went back to buisness as if nothing happened. At the end of the day we went back home and during the car-ride Mr. Sherman was awfully quiet. When we got back home suddenly Mr. Sherman mood turned and he sheerfully said ¡° have you tried your dive pod yet ? I think you should start playing some games and interact with other people¡± as i thought about it i felt it made sense so i said i''d try it the next day. After a quiet night and my good-morning hunt for breakfast which is a habbit i can''t and won''t get rid of as i still need to honour my mother. ''i wonder how mother is doing now... i miss you mother '' as i thought about mother i felt a little bit sad but that quickly faded as i walked back home from the forest 3km away from the house. When i came home i tooka bath and then tried some human bread which tasted quite dry but with a slice of ham which is meat it tasted much better. When i was done eating human food i went to search for Manny and asked him to tell me how to activate the dive pod so i could play the game Mr. Sherman reccomended, altough it was an old game called Sunshine Online he told me i couldd use it to get used to virtual reality so i would be better in his new game Bright Night Online which would launch in about three years time. When i started the pod it made some buzzing sounds and then filled with a gel to keep the pod comfortable. When i started the game everything went black and i felt quite odd i felt weak and powerless and i couldn''t feel my internal mana anymore. Then everything became bright and my body got most of its strenght back but i still could not feel any mana. I guess that''s because of it being a game. After i made the game character i got to choose my ''character name'' so i just went with my normal name ''white shadow'' as i was already used to it. in the game i took the tutorial for all classes to see which one fit me best. In the end assassin/rogue fit me the most as it depends on speed and fast movements which i depended on in the woods so it was quite nice. And so i started the adventure in ''Sunshine Online'' which is one of the most populair VRMMORPGS at the moment so i could learn to get used to ''games and virtual reality''. ~~ After two and a half year i became one of the best assassins in the game also known as ''the speedster'' because i put all my stat points into agility so my movement speed was extreme. At level 100 my agility was at 1000 points and all my other stats around 400-600. even level 200( max) didn''t have an agility of 1000 most of the time. But that was just one of the things i did in the game. In the beginning of the game before i got used to it i met a person with whom i started to play the game together and we both had assassin/rogue classes she was the one who took the strenght and trap path while i took the pure agility and dexterety path. We did all dungeons and everything together in the game, her hcaracter name was Vexia. We never met outside the game nor did we talk about our personal lifes much, but we did have a lot of fun. Today the whole gaming community was in an uproar because sherman and jack have finished their game and announced to the public they will start a beta test in 3 months and release the new game''Bright Night Online'' to the public in 6 months time. I was one of the 9999 beta testers thanks to sherman and i asked him if i could have my friend ( vexia ) also be a beta tester and he said if i wanted to i could ask if she''d want to be a beta tester ( who would refuse such an honour haha ) ¡° yo vexia i have a question ¡° i said when i logged in and met with vexia ¡° waht is it ? ¡° she said. ¡° would you like to be one of the beta testers for Bright Night Online together with me ?¡± i asked casually while she suddenly started yelling ¡° WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?¡± ¡­ ¡° i asked- ¡° before i could answer she grabbed my shoulders and started jumping ¡° y-y-ye-yes!! i''d love to be a beta tester!!¡± she stuttered a bit, probablly due to here jumping. I asked where to send the new dive pod called '' Dive pod V2'' which was quite plain.... After the long three month wait it was time for the one month long beta test. Players would be ''locked'' in the pod for one month to test how safe it wasand all your vital signs would be monitored. After the one month all beta players would be evaluated on howmany bugs and glitches they found, they also would get a reward when the game would officialy launch such as a special skill, race or a rare weapon to begin with. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you all enjoy this chapter, it may have been a bit boring but! There is only one race available untill you unlock new races by discovering them during this beta test. All progress and equipment will be reset after the beta test to keep it fair for the players who do not participate in the beta test. The first thing i saw when i entered the Dive pod V2 and started the beta test was that message. Thinking about it, it did make sense to record all the things we do so that no one will exploit bugs and glitches when they are found and get an advantage for the official launch. Also, all players had recieved an e-mail stating that they are to report anything they find out and aren''t allowed to put any of it online untill the official launch has been out for atleast two weeks. And now my game life will begin. After the message another window popped up.

I thought for a while and then choose option 1 as i would be playing the assassin class so agi and str would be a great bonus. After choosing the bonus there was a light flash and suddenly i was infront of a mirror and i could see myself, a 163cm tall boy with silver''ish white hair reaching his hips, pure white eyes and a very pale skin. Looking at myself i felt odd, i looked handsome sure but my eyes were too diffrent than those of other humans and i didn''t know how i felt about it. The system asked me if i wanted too change my appearance, i declined and then a light flashed and i felt a sucking sensation, asif i was being sucked away. Once i regained my senses i saw that i was in a small village and that there were many other people looking around. After taking in the scenery i heard a ''ding'' sound and got another message.

All players were running to the towns NPC''s ( Non player characters ). I was looking around trying to find Vexia as she and i have always played games together from the moment we met in ''sunshine online''. Suddenly i felt a tap on my back and heard a soft voice whisper ¡° Are you looking for someone? ¡° as i turned around i saw a short girl with long bllue hair and light blue eyes staring at me. ''¡± no i already found what i was looking for ¡° i said with a chuckle while we walked to the village''s blacksmith to see if we could get a weapon from him. Me and vexia have a unique play style, we dont really bother with the famous and known NPC''s like the vilage elder and or kings, we usually help the lesser known NPC''s so we won''t get much atention from completing big quests like killing a dragon. Though we did kill dragons in ''sunshine online'' we never got any fame because we follow the way of the assassin like '' those from the shadows should never enter the spotlight ''. therefor we didn''t want to go to the vilage elder and instead went to the blacksmithand asked. ¡° hello sir, we are looking for a pair of daggers, do you maybe have one for us ? We can give you these swords To trade ¡° i said as i pulled the starter sword from my inventory, vexia did the same and we presented them to the blacksmith. ¡° who are you ? ¡° the blacksmith looked at us and then mumbled to himself ¡° must be ''awakened ones'' ¡° me having animal like hearing picked up on it and asked the blacksmith ¡° Sir what are the awakened ones ?¡± the blacksmith was a bit startled hearing my direct question and explained, ¡° awakened ones are the ancient beings that were forced to enter an eternal slumber by the god of darkness and despair ¡° Crona ¡° as it tried to take over the world. The god was stopped by the 6 heroes of old, However half of the world was put asleep in a special real and were said to re-awaken one day and come back. The awakened ones were extremely strong and had a super fast growth rate. I don''t know much more about the awakened ones.¡± the blacsmith said. ¡° so i guess we''re called awakened ones here, thanks sir now could we trade these swords for a pair of daggers ?¡± i asked as i really wanted daggers. ¡° the blacksmith looked over the starter swords and said ¡° i can give you each a pair of daggers but they won''t be much better than the sword ¡° Me and Vexia were happy and instantly agreed with the trade. Looking over the stats of the daggers we were quite content.

Now all we needed was to level up and get some skills. Our first class change would be at level 10. Looking at the other players we saw a lot of them running to the plains infront of the starter village killing rabbits and dogs. No one entered the forest behind it. So we sneaked to the edge of the plains and walked into the forest, not attracting anyones attention. In the forest we saw no wolves anywhere and were confused because in most games after the starter area there should be wolves ¡­ right ? Anyway we continued onward and to our surprise spotted a giant dark green grasshopper looking at us in the distance. Vexia looked at me and i looked at her and we intantly understood eachothers plans. First i tried to use the standard identify skill but it didn''t really work all we got was ??? so we gave up on that. Vex ( vaxia ) went left and me right as we circled around the trees and ambushed the hopper.

i dealt only 10 damage when i hit it''s leg and instantly jumped back to look at it''s hp bar that had only decresed a tenth so i assumed it had only 100 hp and told Vex it''s her turn to try, she dealt only 7 damage so we made a plan where she would distract it and i would hit it. After 4 minutes of running around and hitting it we killed the grasshopper and instantluy level-ed up to level 2. As i was curious to my stats i opend the stat screen saying ¡° status window ¡° out loud getting a little chucke from Vexia.

Seeing my stats i was quite satisfied. After killing the Grasshopper we continued walking through the forest and found a few more grasshoppers, allowing us to reach level 3. i didn''''t allocate any of my statpoints yet because i was saving them for when i change my class. At the end of the day we had killed 10 grasshoppers and explored the whole forest, we avoided most monsters we saw and only fought when we had to. After exploring the forest we went back to the village and entered an inn to sleep. Day 2 ¨C Beta test After an uneventful night i met up with vexia and went to the tavern across the street to have a little breakfast with the money we had earned killing the grasshoppers. Stepping out of the inn someone bumped into me and he fell to the ground ¡° WATCH WHERE YOU GO BRAT!!¡± the blond young man of about 18 or 19 year old said as he stood back up rubbing his butt. ¡°I''m sorry sir i did not see you coming ¡° i said as i didn''t want any trouble. ¡°you better be !¡± the man said and tried to shove me aside but i stood firm asking ¡° what are you doing sir? Can''t you walk around me ?¡° the man looked at me with disgust and drew his sword trying to slash at my head but i just duced and let the sword pass me and hit the wall of the inn. The managar came running out and looked at the man and said ¡° YOU!! I will tell the guards to arrest you for damaging my inn!!¡± as he said that a few guards came running and under order of the inn manager the blond man was arrested and said to me ¡° i will make you pay for this punk! ¡° I wasn''t really threatened by that man as he couldn''t even slash properly haha. After the ruckus we ate at the little tavern and then went back to the forest to go hunting, this time our goal would be to reach level 10. After killing 3 level 5 grasshoppers as we now know due to our level raising we ( and everyone else in the game world ) got a message

And half an hour later we got another message.

After the mesasge me and vexia upped our pace of hunting and 4 hours later we also reached level 10 however we didn''t instantly go to the ''Beta City'' but thought of maybe asking the blacksmith to teach us forging for me and the tailor to teach vexia tailoring. ¡° hello sir ¡° i politely greeted the blacksmith. ¡°what do you want kid ? ¡° the blacksmith grumbled ¡° can you maybe teach me how tu use a forge ? And teach me the art of blacsmithing? ¡° i asked as polite as i could. ¡°why would i ? ¡° the man said uncaring. ¡°i can give you 4 pieces of hopper carcass as material in exchange for learning blacksmithing ¡° As he heard me say hopper carcass his eyes glinted and he said ¡°If you are lying to me i''ll ban you from my store ¡± as he said that i took out 4 carcasses and showed them to him. ¡°Alright kid ill teach you how to forge ¡° the man clapped his hands and then slapped my back. ¡°Many thanks sir ¡° i thanked the man. After that he told me to follow him to the back of the store where i saw an unused forge and anvil, the balcksmith who''s name turned out to be smith haha, told me to heat the coals and make the forge hot enough to melt iron after which he shoved three iron bars in my hands and said ¡° If you ruin those bars you''ll have to pay for them ¡° so i did as he told and heated the forge, after 2 hours i got a system message with a * Ding * sound

How about the stats they train aside from levels, we can let them keep those after the test?¡± ¡°that might be a great reward for those who work hard to get them, but i think we should give them a limit i think, if not we could get a level 1 player with 200 str or something.¡± ¡°how about +100 ? ¡°Jack replied and sherman nodded. --- ''something like that would be great, ill have to work hard to reach +100 in my stats'' i thought after remembering the conversation and sped up my blacksmith training. After 2 more hours i was exhausted and nearly fainted, Smith told me to go back to the inn and come back in the morning at sunrise... When i got back me and vexia talked about our experience and i found out she also got a stat raise but in agility and she got the stat ''dexterety'' after that i told her about how we should train all stats as much as possible because we could keep them after the beta. After that we went to our rooms and i got up before sunrise and went to the blacksmith earlier because i wanted to learn more and raise my stats. This routine went on for half a month ( game time ) at which i had leanred a multiple skills and even learnded the blacsmiths rare skill: refinement. All in alll i learned : blacksmithing- Forging- blade craft- repair- Refinement- mining and breaking.

they were really great 10 ¨C 30 attack added with my strenght of 100 would deal an average of 130 damage if i break the defense of my oponent ofcourse. After checking my things i told Smith i''d be going to my friend and he said ¡°Wait i still have a gift for you since you are the first to stay and help me after learning the blacksmithing skill.¡± as he said that he handed me a book arcane forging was the title. ¡°You might not be able to learn it but it alllows you to use runes on your equipment and strenghten your weapons even more, I couln''t comprehend the skill myself but maybe you do so i''m passing it on to you.¡± he said as he looked at me in the eyes. I thanked him and told him if i do comprehend it that i would craft him an amazing sword with a flame enchant on it. After i left i went directly to the inn and rented a room and waited for vexia who''s still learning the art of tailoring and out of boredom i started to read the book, it was quite interesting as it showed how to add ''runes'' to the enchantments, most runes are made from either monster blood, mana or special ores some of the weaker ones are made from silver or gold too. After reading the whole book i suddenly got a system notification.

¡° hahahah ¡° i suddenly started laughing due to the message and boredom. After another few hours of waiting as the sun started setting vexia entered the room and told me she finished her training and got a special tanning rack from her teacher so she could tann the hides for leather equips anywhere. I told her that maybe she could also learnn to use the runes but i told her to try it after we maxed the int stat and that we could do it by reading books in the library. One month later ( 1,5 months in game have now passed ) we both exited the library with smiles on our face as we learned alot of skills just reading books and maxed our Int and raised our wis by 74 points. I also got the dexterety stat and maxed it. we are now the strongest level 10 players, we also caught up to waht had happend on the server in the time we were reading. Some players had reached level 50 already and there was even a legendary grade weapon found. One player unlocked a pet and some dungeons had been unlocked but no one had found the way to increase stats yet or just didn''t post it on the Exlusive beta forums. There have also been players that unlocked new races, so far the unlocked races are : lizardman, naga, werewolf, cat kin, dog kin, elves, dwarfs, demons and vampire''s. As me and vexia were just focusing on our stats we hadn''t discovered much so our money reward would probably be very low but atleast our stats would be OP! Suddenly we heared a sound of bells ringing and a World Message popped up.

¡° Whoaaa that sounds amazing i want to be that race after the beta! ¡° Vexia suddenly shouted next to me. Then i said to her ¡° I''m Going to choose Werewolf ¡° as i said that she looked at me with a Bright smile and said ¡° Then we are both going to be Were Beasts ! ¡° and started jumping so i joined her and then told her we should try to raise our agility by 100 points now and so we ran to the moutain range nearby and started running, After 3 hours we were both dead tired but we did get more stamina due to our vitality increasing. And some agility. Vexia also learned the cooking skill from the tailor woman and she started to cook some wolf meat we harvested from some mountain wolves that were attacking us. After another month ( only 2 weeks left for the beta ) me and vex were still only level 10 however we had all our stats at atleast 100 points muahhahah! We are going to be gods when the beta is over i joked to vexia who also joined in by laughing and saying we will kill every player so they can''t even get past level 1. in the last month aside from sgility and other stat training i also leanred how to use the runes and as promised gave Smith a sword with a flame rune, though it drained mana like crazy, 50 per 2 seconds it llooked cool. My blacksmithing got upgraded to ''Arcane smithing'' the long lost art of making magic artefacts. The last two weeks we spent exploring more land but we found nothing really special. On the last three days most beta testers held a tournament seeing who was strongest, we naturally didn''t join in fear of exposing our godly stats. He was quite startled by it but still confirmed that, that was indeed the case. ¡°tomorrow will be the official launch, so I''ll tell you somethings you might not know about the game that are not classified information but also not open to the public. In the game you can use your own magic cultivation technique to gain unique skills and you can also use that to raise your int stat more, also you can get wings for any race at level 50 when you complete a quest given by special NPC''s and you can then actually fly.¡± ¡°Whoaaa i can fly in the game !?!?¡± ''So coool i really want to get to level 50 asap'' i thought. ¡°also do you know what each stat does? ¡° Sherman asked and i said no so he explained it to me. Dexterity(1) : 0.5% Attack speed and accuracy in hand movements. Fame / Infamy : Makes you more know to random NPC''s Good or Bad. It was quite useful to know. Some classes increase the things you gain like knights gain more Hp for 1 point in vitality and warriors gain more attack power from strength. After he told me this info i called ''vexia'' to tell her what time I''d log in tomorrow and start our adventure, she told me she would change her character name to ''Violet Shadow'' in Bright Night Online and change her hair from blue to violet so that we would both have an unique look or something. After the conversation with violet which turned out to be her real name, i went to the nearby forest to hunt some small animals and have a nice meal. The next day at 1 AM me and violet started our new game adventure.

Outside of the village were hundreds of players killing those poor little rabbits and dogs. Me and violet continued walking ignoring the dogs and rabbits until we reached a small mountain that we started to climb, half way up there was a small platform which surprisingly had a small iron vein so I immediately took my rusty pickaxe from my inventory. Checking the stats of the pickaxe I was quite sad but I had to deal with it.

After 30 minutes of smashing the pickaxe on the ground I finally collected all the iron ore. I got 5 pieces which was enough to make a better pickaxe so we went back to the blacksmith and I asked him if I could use his forge to refine the iron and to make a tool and he said ¡° sure go ahead but don''t break anything¡± he even lent me a hammer, once I was done making my new pickaxe the blacksmith was dumbfounded because I gave it a durability enchant and made it from uncommon quality iron( refined iron) also I got the skills : forge, Refinement and Tool Craft. After being done making the new pickaxe I tried breaking the old one and get the materials from it but I failed, I did get the breaking skill though. After I finished up in the blacksmith I went back to the mountain as violet had found an actual mine. When I met up with violet I saw a huge hole in a mountain and when I looked inside I saw three giant spiders.

It was quite annoying so I turned the notifications off and quickly hit a spider with my sword instatly slitting it in two.... violet had the same situation, we looked at each other and laughed. A few more slashes and all the spiders were dead. When we walked in a little deeper we got a system message:

Ignoring the message we continued and found more spiders but no ores yet. After walking for one whole hour we finally found an ore vein but to our surprise it was not iron but silver. I hastily took out my new pickaxe and admired it''s stats for a second before starting to mine.

just like the spiders they were easily killed but as we continued deeper we encountered more and more of them. We also found more silver and iron. My whole inventory was already full and I started to fill violet''s inventory now. After a whole day we reached the end of the mine. A big open space with what seemed like gold ores and a huge skeleton dragon sleeping in the middle of the room, me and violet also reached level 12 on our way through the dungeon. As I saw the boss monster I suddenly wanted to fight it on my own so I asked violet ¡° can you let me solo this boss? Ill leave the next one for you ¡° while smiling at me she agreed and so I drew my sword and calmly walked up to it. As I came within 3 meters from it, it woke up and stared at me thinking I was a fool trying to attack it on my own. When I was 2 meters from it I could finally see its name and level:

It looked quite intimidating but I still sprinted towards it and slashed at it with my sword and 3/10 th of it''s HP bar disappeared with that one hit. I thought to myself as I was quite disappointed my next two hits were the same and with only 1/10 th of its health left it suddenly exuded strange black smoke and started to glow, the next system message gave me some new hope:

I was happy reading this, looking back at the dragon it now had 50% health again and was black of color. As I slashed it this time it only dealt 10% damage and enraged it. The boss used its acid breath on me but I evaded and slashed it 4 times in quick succession slaying the BOSS. After I killed it the dragon fell apart and dropped a treasure chest which I assume contains the loot. Walking up to the treasure chest I saw some gold and copper coins laying around it. As I opened the chest what I found were three pieces of Dragon leather ( even though it was a bone dragon) and 5 small dragon scales and a book ''Forge your Path'' after giving some of the iron from my inventory to violet I stored the book and scales in it and gave violet the leather because she is a tailor and can use a rare grade material. After collecting the loot I picked up the gold and copper from inside and around the chest, all of it added up totals 5 gold and 65 copper coins, quite a nice sum for the first day online don''t ya think ? Anyway afterwards I mined all the ores in the big room and I also picked up the dragon bones. Because our inventory was already full I asked violet to use some animal leather to make a big sack for the ores. After 40 minutes of waiting she finally finished making the bag and I threw all the gold silver and iron in it. I got a total of 100 silver ores 130 iron ores and 30 gold ores. After killing the dragon and taking all ores we headed back to the village and rented a room in the inn and went to sleep ( on separate beds ). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello people, I hope you like chapter one. After that I also unlocked blood magic and dark magic control that gave me 1% dark resistance and allowed me to control and shape blood. After that me and Violet went to the blacksmith only to find out it was closed because it was already night so we headed back to the inn and went to bed. The next morning I went hunting alone and brought back some rabbit meat so that Violet could use her cooking skill to cook it and make something Delicious. After a nice breakfast I went to the blacksmith again and asked if I could use his forge, he gave me permission. When he saw all the ores I took out he was stunned and just stared at me and Violet. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. I heated up the smelting furnace and started smelting all ores to separate the good and bad parts, after 3 hours of smelting I was done with the iron having turned it all into ''Refined Iron'' after that I grabbed the dragon bones I had and started using the [refinement] skill on it making it even better material, the refinement destroyed half of the bones however the bone powder could still be used for alchemy so I stored in a glass vial that violet gave me. The black bones were made into daggers and the refined iron into a heavy crossbow

After checking my new equips I gave 4 of the four daggers and the crossbow to Violet. After I gave the weapons we went to the nearby mountain and went hunting. Deep into the mountains lived a species of goat called '' Rock horned goat'' and it was a level 25 creature so it was perfect for us to kill it so we could quickly reach level 20. After searching for 10 minutes we finally found a group of them. I channeled dark mana in my hands and created 5 Dark arrows and aimed at the closest [Rock horned goat] and shot them as fast as I could, before it was hit the goat rolled over the ground dodging 3 arrows, the other two hit the goat on his left side and on his ass. Dealing -100 damage each and draining half of the goats health in one go. As I was channeling more mana to make another 5 arrows, Violet shot her crossbow with a silver bolt hitting the goat with another 300 damage killing it instantly. After that the other goats turned to us and started to madly rush at us. As the other 6 goats got closer I aimed 5 of my arrows at the heads of the goats and then shot them. After shooting the Dark Arrows I quickly grabbed both my [black bone dagger]''s and sprinted to the goats, slashing one of them at the throat and pierced another one''s I got a system message.

Not really caring I quickly willed the pop-up window gone and stabbed another two of the goats, Violet shot the last one with her Crossbow that pierced straight through its head making it drop dead. After killing all 6 goats we both level-ed up to level 19. After another 20 minutes we found a bigger group of goats and this time I tried using my [shadow cut] skill on the group. A big black 5 meter wide crescent moon shaped shadow emerged before me in an instant and flew at the group of 10 goats hitting 5 of them with 450 damage and giving the blinded status to two of them. After another shadow cut I killed all 5 of the goats before they could even get within 3 meters from me. Violet used her [Rapid Shot] skill which she used along with [Cursed bow] skill dealing lethal hits to all five goats she hit with it., killing the 10 goats our Experience reached 45% so we needed to kill about 12 more goats. Walking further into the mountain I saw some players struggling with a giant goat presumably an BOSS. Walking closer to the people we waited for the goat to kill them as we could see that they were losing. Player killing is not our style, if we don''t get hired for it that is of course. Five minutes later I saw the last player''s head got stomped by the goat and he died.... As the goat killed the group of players he lied down and wanted to sleep, but out of nothing a dark crescent moon came flying to it dealing -400 damage before it could even react, afterwards it saw nothing where the crescent blade came from. Not even a minute later Violet Shot three Purple colored [Shadow Bolt] which is basically a crossbow bolt made of Dark Mana and dealt -300 damage each. After the BOSS finally saw Violet it''s eyes glowed and he charged to violet but as I had promised back in the ''lost mine'' dungeon she could kill the next BOSS so I couldn''t intervene and only helplessly watch. Although I hit it first the boss was already damaged anyway so it wouldn''t count as a solo kill. Watching violet dodge the Madly dashing goat is fun in it''s own right haha. She pulled out a dagger in her left hand while holding the crossbow in her right and rolled under the goat, slashing right through its intestines and dealing a massive -800 damage. After another two shots the boss was wobbling on it''s legs and as violet shot a Silver arrow the crossbow''s [explode] effect activated dealing the normal -300 damage and an additional -100 slaying the boss by blowing its head up. ¡°whoaaa that explosive effect is amazing!!¡± Violet yelled to me while she opened the treasure chest that the boss dropped., inside it were 10 gold coins and a scroll named ''''hidden class huntress'' ------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, I will post only half the chapter now and ill post the other half on sunday as I am really tired atm and can''t get to my laptop until sunday night because i''ll be visiting my family. After that I also unlocked blood magic and dark magic control that gave me 1% dark resistance and allowed me to control and shape blood. After that me and Violet went to the blacksmith only to find out it was closed because it was already night so we headed back to the inn and went to bed. The next morning I went hunting alone and brought back some rabbit meat so that Violet could use her cooking skill to cook it and make something Delicious. After a nice breakfast I went to the blacksmith again and asked if I could use his forge, he gave me permission. When he saw all the ores I took out he was stunned and just stared at me and Violet. I heated up the smelting furnace and started smelting all ores to separate the good and bad parts, after 3 hours of smelting I was done with the iron having turned it all into ''Refined Iron'' after that I grabbed the dragon bones I had and started using the [refinement] skill on it making it even better material, the refinement destroyed half of the bones however the bone powder could still be used for alchemy so I stored in a glass vial that violet gave me. The black bones were made into daggers and the refined iron into a heavy crossbow

After checking my new equips I gave 4 of the four daggers and the crossbow to Violet. After I gave the weapons we went to the nearby mountain and went hunting. Deep into the mountains lived a species of goat called '' Rock horned goat'' and it was a level 25 creature so it was perfect for us to kill it so we could quickly reach level 20. After searching for 10 minutes we finally found a group of them. I channeled dark mana in my hands and created 5 Dark arrows and aimed at the closest [Rock horned goat] and shot them as fast as I could, before it was hit the goat rolled over the ground dodging 3 arrows, the other two hit the goat on his left side and on his ass. Dealing -100 damage each and draining half of the goats health in one go. As I was channeling more mana to make another 5 arrows, Violet shot her crossbow with a silver bolt hitting the goat with another 300 damage killing it instantly. After that the other goats turned to us and started to madly rush at us. As the other 6 goats got closer I aimed 5 of my arrows at the heads of the goats and then shot them. After shooting the Dark Arrows I quickly grabbed both my [black bone dagger]''s and sprinted to the goats, slashing one of them at the throat and pierced another one''s I got a system message.

Not really caring I quickly willed the pop-up window gone and stabbed another two of the goats, Violet shot the last one with her Crossbow that pierced straight through its head making it drop dead. After killing all 6 goats we both level-ed up to level 19. After another 20 minutes we found a bigger group of goats and this time I tried using my [shadow cut] skill on the group. A big black 5 meter wide crescent moon shaped shadow emerged before me in an instant and flew at the group of 10 goats hitting 5 of them with 450 damage and giving the blinded status to two of them. After another shadow cut I killed all 5 of the goats before they could even get within 3 meters from me. Violet used her [Rapid Shot] skill which she used along with [Cursed bow] skill dealing lethal hits to all five goats she hit with it., killing the 10 goats our Experience reached 45% so we needed to kill about 12 more goats. Walking further into the mountain I saw some players struggling with a giant goat presumably an BOSS. Walking closer to the people we waited for the goat to kill them as we could see that they were losing. Player killing is not our style, if we don''t get hired for it that is of course. Five minutes later I saw the last player''s head got stomped by the goat and he died.... As the goat killed the group of players he lied down and wanted to sleep, but out of nothing a dark crescent moon came flying to it dealing -400 damage before it could even react, afterwards it saw nothing where the crescent blade came from. Not even a minute later Violet Shot three Purple colored [Shadow Bolt] which is basically a crossbow bolt made of Dark Mana and dealt -300 damage each. After the BOSS finally saw Violet it''s eyes glowed and he charged to violet but as I had promised back in the ''lost mine'' dungeon she could kill the next BOSS so I couldn''t intervene and only helplessly watch. Although I hit it first the boss was already damaged anyway so it wouldn''t count as a solo kill. Watching violet dodge the Madly dashing goat is fun in it''s own right haha. She pulled out a dagger in her left hand while holding the crossbow in her right and rolled under the goat, slashing right through its intestines and dealing a massive -800 damage. After another two shots the boss was wobbling on it''s legs and as violet shot a Silver arrow the crossbow''s [explode] effect activated dealing the normal -300 damage and an additional -100 slaying the boss by blowing its head up. ¡°whoaaa that explosive effect is amazing!!¡± Violet yelled to me while she opened the treasure chest that the boss dropped., inside it were 10 gold coins and a scroll named ''''hidden class huntress'' ------------------------------------------------------------ The treasure chest also had some health and mana potions. After she killed the BOSS the both of us reached level 20 and decided to get our classes now so she activated the scroll she just got and Received a rather surprising message:

Both our stats were crazy high! At level 20 we already had over 2000 Hp and Mp. That''s like Godly strong!! and our attacks were off the charts, I doubt we would have a hard time fighting a level 30 or 40 BOSS now. At our class change we also got some new skills, I got : Scythe mastery, Dual Dagger mastery, Shadow bind, Blood moon and Blood blade. Violet got : Bow Mastery, Dual Dagger mastery, Huntress Sense, Dragon Bolt and Bolt Rain. Bolt rain fired a Crossbow bolt in the air and then made it rain 50 bolts( at beginner level 1) Huntress sense was a tracking skill that could find the general direction of a target anywhere and was 100% accurate in a 500m radius. Dragon bolt was a crossbow attack that dealt 600% damage but had a cooldown of 10 minutes. My blood blade was similar to shadow cut a crescent moon shaped attack but this one did magic damage or physical damage, depending on the opponent. Blood moon was a passive that increased my blood control by 50% Shadow bind had a 5% chance to curse a target ( reducing all stats 10%) and 90% bind chance binding the opponent for 10 seconds. The mastery skills added 10% damage to the respective weapons.(A scythe is a magic & physical weapon. Bow mastery also includes Crossbows. ) Immediately violet and I went to search for some opponents to try our new skills. The unlucky test subjects were a pack of ''Forest Direwolf'' that looked like big wolves with black and gray fur and with a gray mist around their eyes, their levels were between 20-30. the first to test our skills was violet who shot her Bolt Rain in the air and two second later fifty black bolts fell down in a five meter radius killing the whole pack in one go. They dealt around 1000 damage per bolt I think... Next we found another pack and it was my turn to test blood blade. I cut in my arm and let the blood drip onto the ground for a few seconds to gather enough blood. As the puddle of blood formed I willed it to fly up and into the shape of a crescent moon, then I willed it to me in the magic attack form which made it look like a red stained glass, the solid form was a blood red blade. In the physical form I shot it at the forest direwolves and let the blood blade cut straight through them. All of them were once again killed in one hit. From killing the two packs all we got was 2% of exp, 2 silver worth in copper coins and 3 undamaged wolf pelts. For a while we wandered the forest and then we decided to go back to the village to buy a map so we could move to the bigger cities. Btw if you think we leveled up fast that may not entirely be true as there are already 100 players that have reached level 30 and that is because until level 40 the speed at which you can level up is really fast but after level 40 when most players have unlocked their ''wings'' it will become a hundred times harder to level up, or so I''ve read at the beta forums. The wings will depend on race, class and main attribute ( for mages) for example : a human fire mage will have either red feathered wings or flaming wings while a werewolf like me would have wings that look like flowing darkness or smoke like or something like wings made of blood. And lizard kin would have dragon like wings. Not that I''m bothered with it as you can retract the wings when you don''t use them and they have a flight range, you can only fly at a height of 30 meters from the floor, unless you find a special way to increase that. Once back inside the village I made all iron, silver and gold into crossbow bolts with small barbs on it, they looked really nice. After processing all ore into the bolts I had 300 iron and 500 bolts of a silver+gold alloy. Each bolt would shoot the barbs in a 3 meter radius if the ''explosion'' effect of the crossbow activated. Selling all potions we had we earned about 10 more gold making our collective total : 400 gold coins. After buying the map for 2 gold coins we set off in the direction of the city called : Seldar City. On the map it said that it was one of the bigger city''s in the continent. The specialties of Seldar City were supposedly their friendliness to all races as they even accepted werebeasts into their city''s while most would not, they also had a merchant guild that only appeared in big city''s. And of course they also had the adventurers guild and the magic alliance. The adventurers guild was the one who dealt with people who wanted to become adventurers and gave a lot of good quests. The magic alliance was an alliance with the mages of all elements and they were responsible for the research and development of magic and technology they were also the ones who set up the force fields around cities preventing monsters to enter it. The merchant guild is the richest guild and is responsible for all major trade in the continent as well as supporting the magic alliance by gathering funds for the research. They hired adventurers for protection when they needed to transport goods. The three all needed each other, The magic alliance needs the funds from the merchants, the merchant need the adventurer guild for protection and the adventurer guild need the magic from the magic alliance to keep the towns safe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey people here is the complete chapter.
