《Humanity's last hope》 Chapter 1: Isnt that ironic Chapter 1 ¡°How dare you steal from me! After all I have done for you. I feed you, clothe you, and give you a place to live in my house and you would steal from me?¡± said Antonio ¡°Dominous, my apologies but I was starving. I haven¡¯t eaten in two days¡±, said the unknown slave. ¡°What!? What do you mean you haven¡¯t eaten in two days? You are telling me that no one has fed you in two days.¡± ¡°Yes, Dominous. I would never steal from you.¡± ¡°Judging from you appearance it appears that you are telling the truth. Guards, release him and get him some food. If there is an issue you should bring it up with me instead of stealing. Next time you will be punished severely.¡± ¡°Yes Dominous¡± said the slave as he backed away bowing repeatedly. ¡°Bring in the next one.¡± Immediately, two guards came in with another slave who had been beaten badly. They were holding him under his arms and dragging him by his legs. ¡°What did he do?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°He tried to escape, Dominous¡±, said one of the guards. ¡°Escape?! You thought you could leave without my permission. I shall have you beaten within an inch of your life. Get the whip! 15 lashes for him.¡± The 2 guards chained the man up to a wall and stripped him naked. Then the whipping began. With each lash the man¡¯s flesh was torn and he wailed in pain. As he wailed Antonio simply watched and at grapes that one of his female slaves was feeding to him. All of a sudden everything went black. Antonio opened his eyes and looked up. Initially, all he could see was a bright white light. He blinked his eyes several times and then his eyes began to focus. Antonio could see the wooden ceiling above him as he turned his head he could see the hooves of horses along with straw and hay. He felt something heavy on his feet. He looked down and saw shackles attached to his ankles. What¡¯s going on? I am Antonio a magistrate of the Roman Empire. Only a minute ago, I was torturing one of my slaves for trying to escape. What is going on where are my clothes? Why am I laying on the ground? What is going on? ¡°Hey slave what are you doing?¡±, said a tall man with some pointy ears. ¡°Get to work!¡± ¡°Get to work?! What do you mean get to work!¡±, said Antonio The man walked up and punched Antonio in the stomach. Antonio doubled over in pain almost vomiting from the force of the blow. -20 (80) Antonio stood up and looked the man in the eye and said, ¡°What the hell did you do that for?¡± The man smashed another blow on Antonio¡¯s head. -25 (55) ¡°Learn you place slave. Now get to work grooming those horses¡±, said the man. Antonio got up and walked towards the horses and picked up a brush. He began brushing the hair of the large brown horse that was standing in front of him. What the hell is this? I am no one¡¯s slave what the hell is going on and what was up with the guy¡¯s pointy ears? Why did those numbers come up when he hit me? What the hell is going on with all of this? All of a sudden a bright light filled the room and a little old man stepped out. The man¡¯s skin was pale. His head was bald and his beard and goatee were both snow white. The man was dressed in a beautiful white toga with golden bracers on his forearms. He had a beautiful jade ring on his right hand and in his left he carried a golden staff with numerous detailed carvings in it. The man walked over to Antonio. Antonio began to back up. Who is this guy and where did he come from? There was no one else here but this horse and I then a bright light and he showed up. Did he cause the light? Did he come out of the light? What the hell else is going to happen? ¡°Antonio I understand you have a lot of questions so I will be sure to answer them all for you ¡°, said the older well-dressed man. ¡°How do you know my name?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°I know you because I am the one who brought you here. I am the God of this world. It is similar to your Earth but with some slight differences.¡± ¡°Wait you are God?! Well why did you put me here like this?¡± ¡°That is simple¡­ you were killed. I brought you back to life.¡± ¡°What?! I was killed? What do you mean I was killed?¡± ¡°The last thing you remember was torturing a slave right?¡± ¡°Yes, how did you know that?¡± ¡°I am God I know everything you think? You do not remember what happened next because you were caught in torturing the slave. What happened next was an arrow flew through the air and pierced the back of your skull and went through you brain killing you instantly. That is why you don¡¯t remember.¡± Antonio stumbled back. His head became foggy and he vomited all over the floor. As he wiped his mouth the world began to spin all around him. He lost his balance and trip over some tools causing him to fall head first into a wall. Immediately he lost conscious. God shook his head and sat down as he waited for Antonio to wake up. ¡°Poor boy but it is his own fault¡± A few minutes later Antonio woke up and the man who claimed he was God was still standing there. ¡°Now I want to tell you about the world you are in. This world is very different yours. Here the land is filled with humanoid races like elves, dwarves, goblins, and a variety of others. Brace yourself, in this world humans have been enslaved by all of the other races. You are traded like cattle. You are beaten and whipped for the slightest offense.¡± ¡°You mean¡­¡± ¡°Yes you are now a slave. I brought you to this world to free the humans and stop their oppression.¡± ¡°Why me? I mean in my world I had slaves and I beat and tortured them.¡± ¡°That is exactly why. You know what it is like to abuse and mistreat people. It is going to happen to you. Soon though you are going to have to leave this place and it will be difficult for you because you will not receive any help and if you are caught you will be made into a slave again.¡± "What if I say no?" "If you say no, then you will live the rest of your days as a slave." I don''t want to live out my days here in a barn on the floor. I don''t think I have a choice on whether or not to take this deal. ¡°I accept your terms but I have a few questions. How am I supposed to escape? How do I survive out in the wilde rness?¡± ¡°I thought you would see it my way. I have not erased your knowledge from your previous life. You were a noble so you were trained in some things like reading, writing, swordsmanship, and diplomacy correct?¡± ¡°Yes but how are those going to help me survive?¡± ¡°In this world you develop skills with experience and you can gain jobs that are things that you do. As you increase in experience in those jobs you will gain new abilities and become more proficient at that job. Currently you have 3 jobs, slave, beast trainer, and farmer. As you work in those jobs you will gain experience along with increase to your basic physical and mental abilities.¡± ¡°What do you mean basic physical and mental abilities?¡± ¡°Well wave your right hand in a horizontal motion and you will see.¡± Hiro waved his hand as instructed and then in front of him a translucent rectangle appeared in front of him.

Strength is your physical ability to do things. Think of it as a rating on how well your muscles perform. It affects things like how much damage you do and how much you can carry.¡± ¡°That makes sense. So I guess agility has something to do with the way I move?¡± ¡°Yes, it also affects your ability to avoid attacks and your ability to use ranged weapons like bows and crossbows. Dexterity also plays a part in how you use weapons especially you are wielding 2 weapons.¡± ¡°So what do wisdom and intelligence have to do with?¡± ¡°Well you have not yet learned to access your mana yet but when you do intelligence will give you greater effects to the things that you can do with your mana. On the other hand wisdom will give you greater efficiency with mana. Finally as both increase the amount of mana you have will increase.¡± ¡°What is mana?¡± ¡°It is the life force of this world. It is in everything.¡± ¡°I don¡¯t really understand.¡± ¡°Yes I¡¯m sure you don¡¯t but you will learn it over time. I am leaving you for now¡± ¡°I still have questions.¡± ¡°I¡¯m sure you do but for now,¡± The older man lifted his free hand and a soft glow began to appear around his hand. Suddenly a light grew above his hand. The light disappeared and 3 books appeared. gave Antonio 3 books. The books were old and they were wrapped in leather. ¡°Read these they will help you learn about this world and the things in it¡±, said the old man Antonio grabbed the books and said, ¡°Thank you. I don¡¯t know what my life will be like now but it seems that I don¡¯t have much choice.¡± Then the little old man disappeared into a large ball of light. Antonio held the books tightly and fell down to his knees crying. I don¡¯t know what to do and how am I supposed to free the humans when I don¡¯t even know where I am, I have no army, nor do I have any weapons with what to fight with? This is all too confusing. Anyway, if this world¡¯s slave owners were like me I better I hide these books. If the master finds them I¡¯ll be in a lot of trouble. Then he stood up and began stroking the horse with a brush. The horse neighed softly. Once he finished brushing the horse Antonio bent down and began cleaning the horse¡¯s hooves. Little by little he engrossed himself into taking care of this horse and the 5 others in the stable. His mind became focused on the task at hand lost track of everything else. Once he finished, cleaning and grooming the horses he walked them out into the pasture. The horses began grazing as he watched over them carefully. The man in the armor from earlier came up, ¡°Slave, get the horses ready. You will drive the carriage to town as the Lord and his daughter must go to a meeting in the nearby town.¡± I must act like any other slave as not to offend him as I did before. ¡°Yes sir¡±, said Antonio bowing his head and placing his hand over his chest. ¡°It¡¯s good that you have learned your manners, slave. Now, hurry up. Don¡¯t keep the master waiting¡±, said the man as he walked away towards the main house. Antonio took the horses back inside the stable and began to hook them to the carriages. Once he finished he got up on the carriage and took the reins. I guess the master¡¯s house is the large one up on top of the hill. I¡¯ll head there. Antonio snapped the reins on the horses and the carriage headed towards the main house. As he rode he could see about a dozen other humans working in the fields harvesting what looked to be vegetables like corn and wheat. As he got closer to the main house he saw a small building with smoke coming from the top of it. There was a rhythmic sound of metal clashing against metal. That must be where the blacksmith is located. He continued riding as the main house in all of its splendor came into view. This house looks like his my house in my former life. There were numerous bedrooms with large window. The exterior of the house was completely made of brick. The large double doors in the front of the house were wooden but looked extremely heavy. After reaching the front of the house Antonio pulled back on the reins stopping the carriage. He immediately dismounted from the driver¡¯s spot on the carriage and waited in front of the carriage door. This is what I expected of my driver when I had slaves so this should be sufficient. What should I call him though? My slaves called me Dominus but I don¡¯t know what I should call him. I should just listen and maybe one of the other slaves will say his name so that I can learn it. Antonio waited for a few moments and then the doors of the house opened. Two men opened the doors. The men were wearing white cloth clothes. Both were humans from what Antonio could tell. They bowed as two soldiers dressed in plate armor both carrying large kite shaped shields with swords and what appeared to be long swords in scabbards on their waists. As the soldiers moved forward down a white staircase that appeared to be made of stone, a man and a woman appeared. This must be the master and his wife. The couple was majestic. They both wore beautiful white clothes adorned with golden necklaces and bangles. He wore a golden breastplate that had a muscular physique carved into it. His hair was golden blonde and his eyes were a piercing blue. His wife was wearing a beautiful green leather breastplate that accentuated her figure. Her ample breasts almost spilled out of the top. Her hair was a blue that Antonio had never seen before and her eyes were as green as the most beautiful pastures. On both of her hips she had a set of daggers. They both have weapons and armor? Why? Is this trip dangerous? What will happen if we are attacked? I have no weapon or armor. This is bad. As the couple walked past, the slaves said, ¡°Be safe Lord Sky and Mistress Storm¡± Ahhhh¡­. So that is what I should call them, Lord Sky and Mistress Storm. I¡¯ll make sure that I do that. Behind the couple 2 more pairs of soldiers came. One pair wore plate armor but they had large greatswords strapped to their backs. The other group wore leather armor and they had bows in their hands with a full quiver of arrows showing over their shoulders. That makes me feel better. With this group of soldiers we should be safe. As his masters and their escorts got close to the carriage, Antonio bowed his head and opened the door. As they stepped up to the cart Antonio said, ¡°Good morning, Master and Mistress.¡± Neither spoke a word. As I expected idle chit chat is beneath them. The master came first and stepped into the cart. When the mistress stepped up Antonio helped her onto the carriage. After she sat down, he closed the door and moved to his position as the driver of the cart. The six soldiers took their positions. One sat with Antonio. Two soldiers stood on either side of the carriage and the final soldier was in the rear of the carriage. ¡°Where to sir?¡±, said Antonio to the older man who was sitting next to him. This man must be the captain of this group. His face shows a lot of battle experience and his presence tells me he is dangerous. The man replied, ¡°We have not met before as I am new here but my name is Captain Harris and our destination is the town of Rao. What is your name as I do not wish to refer to you as slave for the entire trip?¡± He wants to know my name? That is strange for someone to actually want to know the name of his slaves. Hmm¡­ ¡°My name is Antonio¡± ¡°Good. Now drive the carriage south off of the property there is a passage there that you will follow. When we reach the fork in the road I will tell you which direction to travel.¡± ¡°Yes sir¡±, said Antonio as he snapped the reins. The horses began to move and the soldiers followed on foot. The day went on as the carriage traveled. No one spoke as the carriage rattled on down the road. After about 2 hours of riding the path went through a wooded area. There were trees on both sides of the path. Antonio began to hear the sounds of rustling among the trees. The horses became agitated but Antonio kept them moving forward. Something is wrong here. Should I tell the captain? Even if I do will he believe me? I don¡¯t know. The carriage kept moving forward suddenly, Captain Harris yelled out, ¡°Stop the carriage! Ambush!¡± Chapter 2: First taste of combat Chapter 2: First Taste of Combat The archers jumped onto the roof and took positions then Captain Harris and the remaining 3 guards took positions at the front, rear, left, and right side of the cart. Antonio ducked as low as he could. I¡¯ve got to stay as hidden as possible so that I am not killed in this ambush. Just as the thought formed his head a hailstorm of arrows flew into the sky. Captain Harris rushed on top of the carriage and placed his shield above his head. The other shield user protected the greatsword wielding soldiers. Antonio quickly rushed under the carriage. This carriage should protect me from the arrows coming from above. Antonio pulled himself up and hid between the bottom of the carriage and the wheel axels. As he was hiding he could see the arrows falling to the ground and hear the metal clanking when the arrows bounced of the carriage and the shields. He could also here the soldiers scream out in pain as they were injured by arrows. Apparently, the kite shields could not block all of the arrows. ¡°Ahhh!!! The arrows were poisoned. I can¡¯t move my legs¡±, said one of the voices from on top of the carriage. ¡°Damn this is bad¡±, said Captain Harris. ¡°Is anyone else hurt?¡± ¡°Yes we have one injury down here. His arm is paralyzed from the poison.¡± ¡°Take you battle position and keep your eyes peeled for any danger.¡± This guy is not as good as I thought. He didn¡¯t have any first aid or poison antidotes. He even kept us here instead of moving forward to escape. No matter what in an ambush, you should not sit still. You should try to move to a place where the enemy is not at an advantage. Then the enemy appeared. Antonio could not see but there were about 2 dozen sets of boots that he could see from under the carriage. ¡°Give us your master and I will make your deaths quick¡±, said the voice of a woman. ¡°You know I can¡¯t do that¡±, replied Captain Harris. ¡°Then you will die here and now.¡± Then the battle began. The action was furious but Antonio could see anything other than boots moving and bodies beginning to fall. When he looked at one of the bodies he saw that it was a woman. What in the world. She is a woman but she has a tail and ears like a cat? What kind of¡­ Then he saw the heads of one of the archers fall to the ground. Then a shield hit the ground and he saw another of Captain Harris¡¯s men hit the ground. The situation was getting grim. Antonio heard the door of the carriage open and he could see the golden boots of his master. The boots moved quickly and he could only hear the screams of some of the enemies. The master must be an amazing warrior for him to have the enemy screaming. I guess that armor and sword weren¡¯t for show after all. Several bodies dropped in the direction of the master went towards. The battle raged on. Antonio saw another saw one of the archers hit the ground there was an arrows protruding from his eye. There are only three people in the escort plus the master left. How long can they hold out against these superior numbers. Then again is this the moment that God was talking about? If my master dies won¡¯t I be free? Yes¡­ that¡¯s it. How will I hide though? Will they leave the carriage and take the woman? Or will they find me and overwhelm with superior numbers? Dammit! Should I just take my chances and hide? Or should I help them? Antonio clenched his fist and began sweating. Another guard fell to the ground. This time it was one of the men hold the greatswords. The battle waged on several more of the people that looked similar to animals hit the hit the ground. Next, Captain Harris¡¯s head was hit the ground. Shit! There is no way they are going to win this now. Antonio heard one of the enemies grab the door to the carriage. It sounded like the Mistress was desperately struggling to hold on to the door. ¡°NO! STOP IT!¡±, screamed the Mistress. Wait she had daggers and armor. Why isn''t she fighting back? She can¡¯t fight! Oh no! That means¡­.. They are going to kill her or maybe worse. I have to do something. Can I win this fight? Should I even help those that have enslaved me? No I have to help. Antonio dropped down and slid out from under the carriage as he stood up he saw about a dozen enemies that looked like a variety of different animals including wolves, foxes, and cats. All of them had either one long sword or two short swords and all of them wore leather armor. This is going to be tough. I can¡¯t make any mistakes. Antonio quickly picked up the sword and shield as it was what he used when he was in the Roman army before he retired. He quickly attacked the enemies that were at the carriage door. His blade cut through the air and slashed at the wolf man who was pulling on the door. His blade went straight through the wolfman¡¯s arms. Blood flew through the air and the wolfman howled in pain. Critical hit -50 (100) While the wolfman could not defend himself, Antonio smashed his shield into the wolfman¡¯s chest. I -20 (80) and severed the wolfman¡¯s head from his shoulder. Fatal hit -100 (0) Oh so depending on how I hit them the hits will do more damage or even be fatal. The wolfman fell dead. Before he could celebrate his victory he saw the other greatswordsman fall dead. The next enemies that engaged Antonio were a set of female cat warriors they both had longswords. They slashed at Antonio but his shield defense was too good. Each attack was deflected by his kite shield. One of the cat warriors slashed her longssword at Antonio but he managed to deflect the attack upwards breaking the cat woman¡¯s stance. Her hands were too high to defend against his attack. He thrust his sword deep into her throat. Fatal hit -100 (0) As Antonio pulled the blade from the woman¡¯s throat, the blade from the other cat warrior slashed across his leg. -20 (80) Damn that hurt. One attack shaved 20% of my health away. Well I guess it¡¯s not as serious because in my world I wouldn¡¯t have a leg anymore. These guys are strong but their skill is is low. As long as I don''t lose focus this should be my win. She swung her blade again and again and again but Antonio managed to get his balance back and defended each attack with his shield. Antonio found an opening in her attack and he smashed his shield into her face. Dazed -15 (90) The enemy stopped moving and Antonio took the opportunity to he slashed straight across her throat. Critical hit ¨C 80 (10) Her body fell to the ground and Antonio stomped on her head and she died 10 (0)

NO¡­ NO!¡± screamed the Mistress ¡°Mistress Storm I killed the enemies who were at the door¡±, said Antonio. ¡°Antonio? Is that you?¡± ¡°Yes Mistress. I am going to help Master outside and try to protect you. Please stay inside.¡± She nodded as Antonio jumped out and closed the carriage door. He picked up a bow and the quiver full of arrows he found on a dead archer and jumped on top of the carriage. There he saw only his master who was surrounded by 7 enemies. Antonio quickly pulled back his bow and fired off an arrow. The arrow straight through the eye of one of the enemies Fatal hit ¨C 80 (10) The fox man dropped dead and Antonio fired off the remaining 3 arrows but none of the landed. He jumped down on top of another enemy. -15 (75)

His master nodded towards Antonio in acknowledgement of the help he had given. The two ran out to attack the group. A flurry of swords banged against Antonio¡¯s shield. He deflected them all but one attack came from behind him. -25 (55) I can¡¯t let them get behind me.

So I can gain endurance by taking hits? This world is crazy! Antonio turned swinging his shield. The force of the swing smashed the enemy against the carriage causing the enemy to take damage from his shield and the impact of hitting the carriage. -15 -10 (75) Antonio pressed his shield against the enemy preventing them from moving and took his sword and chopped off the arm that was holding the shield. Critical hit - 50 (25) Antonio then shoved the blade into the enemy¡¯s stomach. -25 (0) He saw one of the enemies trying to sneak up behind his master. He immediately through his shield and it hit the back of the wolfman¡¯s neck causing him to fall to the ground. Dazed -20 (150) His health is higher than all of the others. He must be the leader. As the shield popped up from the hitting the wolf man in the back of the head, Antonio jumped in the air and grabbed it. As he came down he dropped his knee on the spine of the wolfman. Antonio could feel a crack. -30 (120) Was that his ribs? Antonio took his blade and put it through the back of the wolfman¡¯s head. Fatal hit - 120 (0) Antonio looked up and saw his master bleeding from under his armor but there were two more enemies laying down on the ground. The situation was getting even more intense with his master¡¯s injuries but it was now 2 on 2. ¡°Master¡¯s go rest I will finish this¡±, said Antonio as he moved in front his Master. His master moved back and sat down on the step used to climb into the carriage. Antonio readied his shield but the enemies did not move forward. He took a step closer and they began to back away. He raised his shield and they turned and ran. ¡°Don¡¯t let them get away and bring one back alive!¡±, screamed Master Sky Antonio dashed off towards them. The first enemy he threw his shield at them and it hit him in the back of his head. The fox girl fell forward onto her partner and the both tumbled to the ground. -15 (85) Antonio ran up and picked up his shield. He slashed at the female before she could get up. -20 (65) The male got up and began slashing at Antonio. He carried two short swords. The blades were coming at a furious rate. Antonio was trying to attack but the attacks were coming to fast. The cat man smashed both of his swords down on Antonio¡¯s shield. -5 (50) My arm is going numb from holding this shield and withstanding all of these attacks. I¡¯ve got to do something or I¡¯m going to die here. Antonio quickly thrust his sword straight through the man¡¯s leg. The man howled in pain -30 (70) Antonio quickly smashed his shield into the warrior¡¯s face opening a huge gash in his forehead. Then he finished it off with a slash across the warrior¡¯s throat, Combo -20 -30 (20) Antonio went in for the kill when the female warrior jumped in and deflected his blade from piercing the warrior¡¯s heart. Antonio kicked her in the chest and she fell backwards. -10 (55) While she was on her back, Antonio pierced the chest of the male warrior killing him. -20 (0) Antonio went over to the woman. She dropped her weapons and tried to crawl backwards as she knew death was quickly approaching. Antonio continued to walk up to her. She stood up and began continued backpedaling but it was to no avail when she backed into a tree. She closed her eyes from the pain and before she opened them Antonio hit her in the head with the pommel of the sword knocking her unconscious. Antonio picked her up and carried her back to the carriage where his master and mistress were. ¡°Master I am back¡±, said Antonio ¡°So you are. Where did you learn to fight like that? Were you a gladiator before you came here?¡± I can¡¯t tell him the truth that I was reincarnated so I guess I will go along with his story. ¡±Yes master.¡± ¡°I was not informed that you were a gladiator and you do not look like it as you have no scars from battle.¡± ¡°I was taught to fight using a sword and shield so I rarely took damage because I defended with my shield master.¡± ¡°We can continue this conversation at home. Tie up the prisoner and drive us back home. I need to see the doctor to get these wounds looked after. As of now you are my personal guard.¡±

I guess I earned that by protecting the Master and Mistress. Now that I am closer to him, it will be more difficult to escape. Then again it will be easier to kill him. I better take some of the equipment that those guards had in order to equip myself later on. Antonio tied up the female warrior and placed her on the seat in the front of the carriage with him then he went to the dead warriors and took all of the equipment and placed it in the compartment at the back of the carriage. Antonio jumped in the front of the carriage and turned it around and head back to the Master¡¯s home. For those of you who are new to my writing I hope you will be entertained by reading this story. I will be adding 3 more chapters over the next day or so please rate and review my work. I will always take your comments into consideration and adjust my work to me the desires of my readers. Enjoy the next chapter _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 3 The carriage quickly returned back to the master¡¯s home. Once the carriage stopped Antonio jumped from his seat and opened the door to get his master. When he opened the door Antonio saw his master faced down in the Mistress¡¯s lap. Her eyes were filled with tears ¡°Quickly take him into the house!¡± Antonio bowed his head and picked up the Master. ¡°Get the doctor!¡±, yelled the Mistress. Slaves immediately dispersed as Antonio ran into the house with the Master in his arms. He quickly ran through the door and ran up the steps to the biggest bedroom he could find. He laid the Master on the bed and removed his armor. There was a deep wound in his chest and several superficial wounds on his arms and legs. He grabbed a blanket and pressed it into the wound to stop the bleeding. ¡°AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!¡±, screamed Master Sky ¡°I¡¯m sorry Master but I have to stop the bleeding¡±, said Antonio. Just then the doctor came in and said, ¡°Antonio, you¡¯ve done well. I¡¯ll take it from here.¡± Then the doctor began working on Master Sky. Antonio bowed his head and exited the room. The Mistress was in the hallway crying. ¡°How is he?¡±, asked Mistress Storm. ¡°I don¡¯t know Mistress. He was losing a lot of blood.¡± ¡°Thank you for helping me and my husband. For that you will be greatly rewarded. Go and get your things. From now on you will be allowed to sleep here in the house tonight until the other slaves can build you a hut.¡± ¡°Thank you Mistress.¡± ¡°I was impressed with your skill today when you were fighting off the attackers.¡± ¡°Thank you Mistress¡±, said Antonio as he bowed his head and placed his hand over his heart. ¡°As my husband said, you will now be our personal guard. Your job will be to practice your fighting skills daily in order to protect us. You will be given better food and you will be provided with other perks that he will tell you about when you finish. No go bathe and I will have the doctor take a look at your wounds when he finishes with my husband.¡± ¡°Yes Mistress.¡±

That is definitely good. When the time comes I hope this is high enough that I can convince the rest of the slaves to follow me in revolting against these two. Antonio walked down the stairs and got the carriage. He drove it back to the stable and took the catgirl that was tied up into the barn. He placed her down on the ground gently as she still had not regained consciousness. Then he grabbed the horses and brought them all back into their stalls. I¡¯m starting to feel a little lightheaded. I¡¯ve got to finish so I can lay down and get the doctor to look at my wounds. Antonio braced himself against one of the beams that supported the roof of the barn. He took a couple of deep breaths and then started walking back to the house. As he made his way to the house, his pace slowed down dramatically but eventually he made it back. Once he got into the house the doctor was waiting for him. ¡°Antonio, come here¡±, said the doctor. Antonio walked over and the doctor handed him a small vial with a red liquid in it. Antonio looked at it and took a sniff of the contents. He immediately frown his face up. ¡°Drink it. The medicine will numb you while I sew up your wounds.¡± ¡°Thank you doctor¡±, said Antonio as he drank the red liquid. He removed his shirt and glanced at a mirror. What the hell!? I look like I¡¯m only about 20 years old. I was 45 years old when I died. No wonder I was able to move so fast. My muscles are back along with my reflexes and stamina. At least I know that when I begin training again my body will respond. The doctor sewed up the wound on his back and then rubbed some sort of paste on the all of his wounds. +90 (140) My health increased? I guess because he gave me medical treatment. Why did my max health increase? Maybe I should check my status.

Hmm what do those two new skills do? How do I check them? I wonder if I¡­ Antonio touched his hand to the words ¡°Shield Mastery¡± and then another blue translucent screen appeared.
Shield Mastery: This skill shows a person ability to handle a shield. This includes deflecting attacks, taking damage, and causing damage.
Oh so I guess sword mastery and bow mastery are the same. They just refer to my ability to use a sword or bow. This stuff seems very self-explanatory. ¡°Go rest in the room they prepared for you upstairs¡±, said the doctor ¡°Ok. Just one question doctor¡± ¡°You¡¯re a slave like the rest of us so how did you learn medicine¡± ¡°Well, the elf doctor that used to be here took me on as an apprentice. I watched him for years as he sewed up soldiers and cured some illnesses. At some point the original doctor began to let me do some of his work. As the years went by the old doctor got grew feeble and he could no longer perform his duties as a doctor. One day we went into his home and he was dead. Ever since then the master took me on as the new doctor.¡± ¡°That is pretty amazing.¡± ¡°Now we can talk another time. Go get some rest before you injuries worsen.¡± ¡°Thank you again¡± Antonio said as he left the room walked up the stairs. One of the maids in the house opened a door for him. Antonio walked in and immediately collapsed on the bed. His eyes slowly closed and he fell asleep. In the morning, sunlight began to come through the window. Knock.. Knock¡­ knock. ¡°Come in¡±, said Antonio. Stolen novel; please report. In came one of the maids. She bowed to Antonio. ¡°What is your name?¡±, asked Antonio. ¡°My name is Elizabeth and I was sent up by the Master to have you come to his chambers.¡± ¡°I will get dressed and meet him now.¡± ¡°Thank you. Breakfast will served soon.¡± ¡°That sounds great because I¡¯m extremely hungry.¡± Antonio stood up and the maid quickly turned her head away quickly. She hid her eyes from the sight of Antonio¡¯s naked body. ¡°I¡¯m sorry do you have an aversion to the male physique?¡±, said Antonio as he quickly dressed himself. ¡°No I just haven¡¯t seen a physique like yours before.¡± ¡°Oh well I¡¯m sorry to have startled you.¡± Antonio walked out of the room and went down the hallway to the master¡¯s room. Once he was there a maid opened the door and he entered. There he found his master lying in bed. His skin was pale and his face was haggard. His chest was wrapped in bandages and he had several blankets keeping his body warm. ¡°Antonio, how are you feeling?¡± ¡°I am fine Master. My wounds from yesterday were minor.¡± ¡°Do you know why you are here?¡± ¡°No, Master.¡± ¡°Well I wanted give you a gift for your work yesterday. You skill in battle saved the lives of my wife and I.¡± How should I respond? Should I be greed and ask for my freedom? Should I ask for a woman? That Elizabeth was cute and very shapely. Or should I simply be modest? ¡°Master your thanks is enough for me.¡± ¡°Skillful and humble, those are rare qualities in a man these days.¡± ¡°Thank you master¡± ¡°Well now, first I am having you a house built next to this house as we speak. In addition, I am having a couple of training dummies sent over for you to practice.¡± ¡°Thank you master.¡± ¡°I want you to interrogate that prisoner and find out who sent her. You may keep all of the equipment that you took from the dead soldiers as that will stop me from having to purchase more.¡± ¡°As you command Master¡± ¡°Now leave me. I need to rest to heal from these injuries. By the way there is food made for you downstairs in the kitchen.¡± Antonio left the room and went downstairs to eat. The maids gave him some food that looked like bacon and eggs with some sort of potatoes. I guess this world is very similar to mine. Once he was full, he took a little of the food to go along with some water as he walked towards the barn where he left his captive. Once he arrived at the barn he saw the catwoman on the ground still tied up. He left her alone and went to the carriage. Once there he took out the sword and shield from the previous day¡¯s battle then returned to the prisoner. He shook the woman gently. ¡°It¡¯s time for you to wake up¡±, said Antonio ¡°I¡¯m awake and don¡¯t touch me you filthy human.¡± I guess I need to scare her a little bit so that she understands her position. ¡°Oh filthy human am I? Well this filthy human is able to decide whether you live or die. Now I¡¯m going to ask you some questions and if you answer me truthfully and completely I will let you live. If you don¡¯t answer me I am going to peel your skin off¡±, said Antonio as he slid the blade along her leg. ¡°Wait¡­Wait¡­Wait. I¡¯ll talk¡± ¡°My first question is who hired you?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know. My boss the wolfman told me that we had a job to do so I did it. Only he knew who hired us.¡± ¡°Oh so you guys are mercenaries?¡± ¡°Yes we are assassin group known as the crimson guard.¡± ¡°Where is your headquarters?¡± ¡°It is about 2 days ride from here on horseback. You will have to go through a forest and deep within the forest is our stronghold but that doesn¡¯t matter now because all of the members are dead now except me.¡± ¡°Oh your whole group is dead. Hmmm¡­.. Since you can¡¯t tell me who hired you and all of your group is dead I have no more use for you. So I guess¡­¡±, Antonio raised his sword. ¡°Wait, wait, wait! I will do anything. Please don¡¯t kill me.¡± ¡°Anything?¡± ¡°Yes anything just don¡¯t kill me.¡± ¡°Your offer is intriguing. I will think about it today and then speak to my master to see if I can keep you as my slave.¡± ¡°SLAVE!! You want me to be a slave!¡± ¡°Either that or a corpse. You choose!¡± She lowered her head. Antonio walked over and lifted her chin. He fed her the food that he had taken from the main house. Then he held the cup up so that she could drink. ¡°Thank you. I was starving.¡± ¡°Your welcome. I¡¯m going to leave you tied up until I get permission from the master to keep you here. They are building me a house and you will stay with me. ¡°What are you going to do with me?¡± ¡°You¡¯re cute I¡¯m sure I can think of something.¡± ¡°You¡¯re not some sort of pervert are you?¡± ¡°Well I guess it won¡¯t matter if you are my slave¡±, said Antonio with a sly grin. ¡°I¡¯ll see you later.¡± Antonio made his way back to the main house to make his report. He walked up and saw the slaves working in the field and as he walked to the blacksmith shop. There was an unusually large man with bulging muscles and extremely dark skin. His head was shaved bald and he wore some black cloth pants without a shirt. In his hand was a large metal hammer that he was using to work on the metal. The man turned around and said, ¡°Ohhh.. you are the one that saved the Master and Mistress¡¯s lives.¡± ¡°Yes that was me. I¡¯m Antonio what¡¯s your name.¡± ¡°My name is Bruce. How can I help you?¡± ¡°The master told me that I am supposed to be his guardian so can you sharpen this sword and repair this shield.¡± ¡°I can do those things but why are you are going to protect the man that enslaves us?¡± ¡°Well, what would you have me do?¡± ¡°Meet me at the stables tonight and I will let you know.¡± Are the slaves here already planning a revolt? What should I do? Would they trust me because of the favor the master and mistress were showing me? I should just play along for right now though. ¡°Ok I will meet you then.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t tell anyone about the meeting¡±, said Bruce with a stern face. ¡°No problem. I will keep it to myself.¡± ¡°I will take care of your equipment today and bring it to you this evening.¡± ¡°Alright thanks.¡± Antonio left and returned to the Master¡¯s home. Once there he was met at the door by Elizabeth. She led him to the Master¡¯s room. ¡°Wait here I will check to see if he wants to see you any visitors¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°Ok. Let him know I came to report about what I found out from my interrogation of the prisoner¡±, said Antonio. She opened the door and after a moment she came back out. ¡°The master said that he will see you now¡±, said Elizabeth. Antonio walked in and greeted his master. ¡°Greetings master. The prisoner was unable to give me any information as to who hired them. She was an underling and was not told the information about the employer.¡± ¡°Well that is disappointing. Is there anyone else in the gang that might know about who hired them to kill me?¡± ¡°From what she said, the wolfman was the leader and the only one that would have known. As you know we killed him.¡± ¡°So your interrogation gained no promising leads?¡± ¡°No master.¡± ¡°Is there anything else?¡± ¡°Well there is actually.¡± ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°I would like to keep the catwoman as my slave.¡± ¡°HAHAHAHA! My slave would like a slave. For your act of bravery I will grant you that wish. Take this and place it around her neck. This collar will force her to bend to your will as long as she wears it. All you need to do it put a bit of your blood on the lock. Once you do only you will be able to remove it.¡± ¡°What happens if she does not follow my orders?¡± ¡°She will experience pain like she has never felt before¡±, Master Sky said with a sinister grin. ¡°Thank you Master¡±, said Antonio as he took the collar and left the room. Chapter 4 Antonio went back to the barn that he had stashed the catwoman. Once he was there he walked towards the catwoman. ¡°What is that thing?¡±, asked the catwoman ¡°Oh it¡¯s just a little something that will make you follow my instructions. In other words it will let me know that you won¡¯t try to kill me or anyone else here. ¡°I won¡¯t do it. I promise", she said with tears forming in her eyes. ¡°Well I¡¯m going to need a little more security than that¡±, he said as he pricked his finger. -1 (139) Then he placed the blood on the lock and put it around the neck of the catwoman. ¡°No!¡± she yelled. It was too late the lock sealed and then glowed for a moment.

He saw two screens that were layered one on top of the other. He moved his out of the way and then Jazmine¡¯s was revealed.

Hmm.. Her stats are pretty slanted towards primarily agility. I wonder why I can¡¯t see her skills? Maybe she doesn¡¯t have any? I¡¯ll ask her later. Right now I want to read those books the old man left me. The first book was about different types of flowers and a host of other plants that can be found in the wild. It explained which plants were poisonous, edible, and the others that could be usable. After Antonio read the last page¡­

As you increase your proficiency in this skill, you will be able to know more information about a target.

Wow! New skills and a bonus to my stats. That old man was right these books are already proving to be a great benefit to me. Alright time for the next one. Antonio blew off the book and dust flew everywhere. He used his hand to brush off the last bit of dirt. On the cover were 4 circles, one red, one green, one blue, and one brown. What is this one about? Antonio began reading. As he read the book described an invisible force that was in everything. It was located in the blood. The forced was called mana. As he continued to read, mana was described to be manifested in each of the four elements fire, earth, water, and wind. Mana could be manipulated into the form any of these elements. Antonio continued reading and the book described the basics to how to use it. As he finished reading the book, something began to swell inside of him. What is this feeling? I don¡¯t know what¡¯s going on. There was power welling up inside of him. He could feel it all through his body.
You have learned the basics of mana and how it works. You have unlocked the mana stat and you have learned a basic spell from each of the 4 elemental spell trees.

Fireball: You can cast a small ball of fire that will shoot from your palm and do damage to the opponent. Max distance is 5 meters.
Wind Sprint: You can cast an enhancement to your agility this will allow to move faster for a short period of time.
Earth Armor: You can cast an enhancement of your endurance resulting in a boost to your defensive ability.
Freeze Blast: You can shoot out a blast of ice potentially freezing the target.
This is great I learned another class, actually got mana, and 4 new spells. Man this is great! I have to read this last book. What else could the old man teach me? Antonio placed the second book on top of the first one on the floor. Then he brushed off the cover of the third book. The book had a blank cover. It was bound in a soft leather cover but the leather was beginning to crack and split from age. He opened the cover and began reading. The book was filled with the history of the world. Apparently, humans once coexisted peacefully with the older races of beast men, elves, dwarves, and monsters. Monsters had numerous subspecies but the most populated were goblins, orcs, trolls, and beastmen. They all lived in a delicate balance until man¡¯s population became too great. The other races felt threatened by their growing population and formed an alliance to subjugate mankind. There was a great war and the human cities were invaded and destroyed one by one until only their capital city of Avalon was Avalon remained. The human king rallied his army and they defended their home but it was all for not as the allied forces played their trump card, the dragons. With the help of the dragons the human walls of Avalon could no longer stand and the humans were bathed in dragon fire. The humans who fought were slaughtered and those who surrendered were made into slaves. As Antonio closed the book a tear fell from his eye. All of those people slaughtered for nothing other than people¡¯s fear of their strength! Why! Why! Old man this is what I am supposed to change? So be it! I will start with the people here on this plantation. We will rebuild Avalon and crush anyone who decides to come against us including those damn dragons. My name, Antonio Meridius, will strike fear in the hearts of all non-humans. Tears began to flow from his eyes and he stood up with hatred and pain his eyes that burned like fire. He stood up and looked directly at the catwoman. ¡°Wh.. Wh¡­Wh.. Wh..What are you doing?¡± asked Jazmine ¡°I¡¯m not going to hurt you. I¡¯m just pissed because I learned something reading those books. I learned how all humans are being enslaved by the other races.¡± ¡°That was new knowledge to you, human?¡± ¡°Yes and you will address me as master from now on. Do you understand?¡± ¡°I will do no such ¡­.AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!¡± An excruciating pain ran all through her body. It was so painful that she her limbs contorted in some strange directions. It was as if there was an electrical shock that went through her body. ¡°I told you not to defy my instructions. Now again you will address me as Master Antonio. Do you understand?¡± ¡°Yes.. Master Antonio¡±, she said with malice in her eyes. ¡°From today forward you are my slave and as such you will have to work. When I begin my training, you will train with me. Whatever I do you will do the same. Also, whatever I tell you to do, no matter what it is, you will comply with speed.¡± ¡°Yes ..Master Antonio¡± ¡°If you prove yourself faithful and trustworthy, I will remove the collar and allow you to live freely under my rule. Remember, the reason why you are is because I defeated you and your comrades. So don¡¯t get any ideas because you are not my match.¡± ¡°Yes Master.¡± ¡°Now you will begin by helping me to care for these horses. Take the brush and clean them from head to toe. Once you are finished, I want you to take them out to the pasture and let them graze.¡± ¡°I understand Master.¡± Antonio began clean the hooves of the horses while Jazmine brushed them. Once they had finished the two walked out with the horses to the pasture. The sun was shining brightly and it was quite warm. This reminds me of summer in Rome. As Antonio looked out he could see the few dozen slaves working on the farm. The vast majority were women. All of them were relatively young, anywhere from 15 to 30. The crops were tall and filled with vegetables and fruits. The women carried baskets filled with the harvest to a large building that Antonio assumed was the storehouse. He continued looking and saw an area where there were several types of domesticated animals. There were some beasts that looked like cows, sheep, and pigs but all were of some strange colors and larger than the versions in Antonio¡¯s world. ¡°BARRRK!! GROWL!!!¡± What is that sound? Could it be? Antonio walked over and there he saw it a dog like animal. It¡¯s body structure was that of a bull terrier but it stood about 1 meter tall and probably weighed about 200 pounds. It¡¯s fur was a brindle color (tan, brown, and black mix) except for a white patch on its chest. As it barked the other animals moved back from the pasture towards the area where they were housed overnight. Antonio came up to the gate and the dog walked up to him and cocked his head to the side. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡°You are absolutely magnificent¡±, said Antonio ¡°Ah yes, Magnus is my pride and joy. He is about 5 years old but I have raised him since birth¡±, said an old man who walked up. ¡°I am called, Cid. What is your name youngster?¡± ¡°Oh forgive me I am Antonio. I was just admiring Magnus. He is an exquisite specimen.¡± ¡°Oh so you are the young warrior that saved the Master¡±, Cid said with a sarcastic tone ¡°Yes, that would be me. What do you do here, Cid?¡± ¡°I am responsible for caring for our domesticated animals other than the horses.¡± ¡°Oh so you use Magnus to bring them back to the stables for the night?¡± ¡°Yes Magnus has shown them through his strength that he is more powerful than the strongest of each of the males including the bull. He has stared them all down and forced them to return to the stables. So now when he tells them to move they move.¡± ¡°That is amazing. I was just exploring the grounds. So far I have seen the horse stable, your stable, the blacksmith shop and the main house. Is there anything else around here that I should see?¡± ¡°Yes. Go around to the back of the house and see what is back there.¡± ¡°Ok. What is back there?¡± ¡°You should see it with your own eyes.¡± ¡°Oooookkkk? I will go check it out now. I¡¯ll see you later.¡± Antonio left and walked up to the main house. There were two young girls there working in a flower garden. He took a deep breath and the aroma of the red flowers filled his nose. ¡°Those flowers look and smell wonderful. You ladies are doing a fantastic job¡±, said Antonio. There was no response from the two women, only stares of resentment. What is going on why is everyone so pissed at me? Was it because I saved the Master and Mistress? Did the slaves somehow set up that ambush? It couldn¡¯t be they wouldn¡¯t have enough money to hire mercenaries and even if they did they could contact anyone from the outside. Antonio simply shook his head and walked around to the back of the house. Once he turned the corner he saw it, the unspeakable atrocities going on. There were a total of 6 men and women tied up on crosses. They look like they have been there for days. From the look of their haggard faces and severely chapped lips, they haven¡¯t been given any food or water for at least 2 days. Their bodies are covered in fresh open wounds. I would recognize the handiwork of a whip anywhere. What could they have done for this type of punishment? Antonio lowered his head and began sobbing. Suddenly, a hand was on his shoulder. The young woman lifted his chin up and wiped the tear from his eyes. ¡°This is why everyone is looking at you so strangely. You saved the man who is doing this to us¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°I didn¡¯t know. I¡¯m so sorry.¡± ¡°Why did you save him? You knew you were a slave.¡± ¡°I just saw a man and a woman who were about to be killed. If I knew about this I would have let him die. Does he have anyone that works for him and carries out these things now?¡±, asked Antonio as he collected himself. ¡°He has two more men that are here the rest died when they went you on the escorting mission with the Master and Mistress to the town.¡± ¡°I see. The Master is a capable warrior and I don¡¯t know if I could beat him one on one even with my skill.¡± ¡°But he is injured quite badly right now. You could fight him now and win.¡± ¡°Where are the two other men?¡± ¡°They are out monitoring the fields. You should have seen them on your way here. They usually ride around on horseback. Oh wait its dinner time so they probably in the house eating.¡± ¡°Oh that is why I saw two horses tied up next to the house. They are probably not an stronger than the other guards that the master had and they were pretty weak. I have an enslaved catwoman at the barn. Between the two of us we should be able to take out all three of them and the Mistress.¡± ¡°Now before I say anything else, do you know anything about the surrounding area?¡± ¡°Well the sea is about a day¡¯s ride to the west and the rest of this area is covered by dense trees. The only path from the sea has high hills on either side. The way in is very narrow.¡± ¡°That makes it easily defensible. Anything else?¡± ¡°There are several other Lords in this area that have land and slaves. Also all of the homes are connected by roads. The only way to the homes the though is through the forest and then through the another narrow pat that leads to the homes¡± ¡°This is great if we take over this place, we can make it a stronghold a rebuild a human city right here.¡± ¡°You mean this will be the beginning of the human city?¡± ¡°Yes. I think she likes me. Antonio went in and at some food in the kitchen. As he finished his food he thanked Elizabeth and walked back out through the kitchen. She smiled as he left and then he walked around to the front of the house. As he walked back to the front of the house he saw the Master¡¯s two male elf workers. One of the men was a little bit taller than the other. Both had the traditional elf slim body type and pointy ears. The taller one had red hair with red eyebrows to match. He was wearing leather pants and boots with a cloth shirt. The other had bluish colored hair with matching eyebrows. He also had a blue goatee. Hmm.. They are about as strong as the wolfman but they don¡¯t have any weapons or armor so they shouldn¡¯t be a problem. As Antonio turned his back and walked away Shymil kicked him in the back knocking him down. -15 (125) Antonio stood back up his anger was boiling over. I will kill you two slowly! ¡°Hurry up boy! You were taking too long! That boot was a way to help you get going faster!¡± said Shymil ¡°Yes sir¡±, said Antonio as he starting running back to the barn. Once he reached the barn he began yelling, ¡°I¡¯ll kill them! I¡¯ll kill them all.¡± ¡°You¡¯re going to kill who?¡± ¡°I¡¯m going to kill the Master, his wife, and the other two elves that are enslaving humans here tonight after I get my weapons back. ¡°You¡¯re going to do WHAT!?¡± ¡°Yes. I¡¯m going to stage a slave revolt and you are going to help me. I have no quarrel with you and once you help you may go free if you wish.¡± ¡°Are you serious?¡± ¡°Yes I do not wish to be a slave owner. I want people to live the lives that they choose. Now help me bring the horses in from the pasture.¡± ¡°Yes Master.¡± ¡°No need to call me that anymore. Just call me Antonio and I am sorry for treating you so poorly earlier." ¡°Ok Antonio.¡± ¡°I am sorry for my poor treatment of your earlier. After seeing the atrocities that Master Sky commits on humans I do not want anything to do with that.¡± ¡°It is ok, I did try to kill you yesterday¡±, she said with a sly grin. The two walked out a brought in the horses from the pasture. Once they got them back into the barn they placed them each in their stalls and tied them up. Then the two sat down and chatted for a little while as the sun began to set. As the light began to fade Antonio cracked to pieces of flint together and lit a lamp. Once that one was lit he used it to light 4 more so that he could see all around the barn. Moments later, Bruce walked in carrying Antonio¡¯s shield and sword. He was followed by 3 women, Cid and another young man. ¡°Hey Antonio, here is your equipment¡±, said Bruce ¡°Thanks Bruce I¡¯m going to need it.¡± ¡°These are some other people here who came to talk to you as well¡± ¡°I think I have already figured out what you wanted to talk to me about and that is killing the Master and his wife.¡± ¡°What is with the sudden change of heart?¡±, asked Cid ¡°Well I saw the people behind the house being crucified, starved, and beaten. I cannot forgive someone who would do that.¡± ¡°So how will you do it?¡±, asked Bruce ¡°Well the master is the only one that would actually be a match for me I think and he is still injured pretty badly. The mistress is not a fighter at all and the other two don¡¯t have any weapons. If I attack with Jazmine here before they can get their weapons it should be our win.¡± ¡°You¡¯re going to let this catwoman help?¡±, asked the young man. ¡°Why not? She was paid to kill him anyway. She will just be finishing the job she started.¡± ¡°Ok it seems like you have all of your bases covered so good luck¡±, said Bruce ¡°Thanks Bruce, Tonight will be the last night of slavery for all of us. I will need you to forge weapons and armor for us in the future though because once we are done here I will be training people to help me free other slaves.¡± ¡°You¡¯ve got it! Just make sure you kill them¡±, said one of the ladies.

Antonio awoke from his slumber and looked over to see Jazmine still fast asleep. As he looked around the barn where they were sleeping he could see the horses in their stalls but the light was dim. The sun had yet to completely come over the horizon. This would be a perfect time to finish off those to overseers Shymil and Falin. In the cover of night I can go out with my sword and shield and they wouldn¡¯t even see me coming. ¡°Jazmine, wake up. It is time for us to put the plan in action.¡± Jazmine wiped her eyes and sat up. She stretched her arms and let out a yawn. ¡°What do you suggest I fight with, my bare hands?¡± ¡°Of course not, go and get whatever weapon you wish from the back of the carriage. There are 2 greatswords, 1 long sword, and two sets of bows with quivers filled with arrows.¡± ¡°Thanks. I usually use two swords but one should suffice.¡± ¡°Oh so you can dual wield?¡± ¡°Yes. I prefer furious assaults versus attack and defense. I like to overwhelm my enemies until I break their defenses.¡± ¡°I see, I guess I was just a bad match for you then as you could not break my defense.¡± ¡°Yes that shield defense of yours was definitely a problem that I could not solve.¡± ¡°If you stay I will teach you how to improve your dual wielding combat skills.¡± ¡°Sounds tempting but let¡¯s finish these elves first.¡± ¡°Agreed.¡± Antonio and Jazmine crept out of the barn into the field of wheat where they could hide from the two elves. Once in the field the slaves noticed them. Antonio held a finger to his mouth to let them know to stay quiet. The two quickly moved passed until they were in the center of the field. ¡°Once the sun rises we will shake the crops so that they come to check out what is going on. When they do we will jump up and kill them.¡± ¡°Sounds like a good plan. Won¡¯t they be on horseback though?¡± ¡°Yes, but yesterday I observed that they do not carry swords or armor so they should be easy prey. They know that all of the slaves are unarmed and over time most slaves accept their predicament and would rather not fight back for fear of the consequences.¡± ¡°How do you know so much about slave mentality?¡± ¡°That isn¡¯t important just know that when they get close we need to kill them as quickly and quietly as possible.¡± She nodded and they began to wait. A short time passed and the sun was in full view. The dawn had come and they began shaking the stalks. As planned they could hear Falin and Shymil discussing what it could be. They kept up the shaking and then they could hear the clip clop of hooves coming closer. ¡°Wait for it¡±, said Antonio The hooves got closer. ¡°Hold¡±, said Antonio The hooves were almost upon them ¡°Now!¡± he yelled. Immediately the two sprang up out of the field and slashed at their unsuspecting victims. Antonio beheaded Falin in one quick motion. Fatal Hit -100(0) Shymil was able to see the attack before Jazmine actually slashed him so he managed to avoid an instant death but Jazmine was still able to sever his arm causing him to lose the reins. As the horse rose up on its hind legs it threw Shymil off and he fell to the ground. Critical Hit! -40(120) Shymil rolled on the ground screaming in pain. ¡°Wait¡±, said Antonio Jazmine paused as she was about to drive her blade straight through his mouth. Antonio ran over and cut his Shymil¡¯s shirt off. He stuffed part of the torn shirt it in his mouth and then tied it around his head. This muffled his screams. The other portion he used to bind his feet. ¡°Hold his arm other arm¡±, said Antonio Jazmine held the flailing arm down. Antonio raised his sword and severed the arm just like the other right at the elbow joint. ¡°Now take his body back to the barn and wait for me there. When you get there cut his pants and wrap the leather around where we severed his arms. I don¡¯t want him to die just yet. He was probably the one the crucified those people behind the house. I want them to see him die.¡± "Damn you pretty sadistic! I kind of like that about you!" "Now you like me?!" "I didn''t say that I liked you." "Uh... Yes you do it!" said Antonio in a sarcastic tone. "Whatever", said Jazmine as she stormed off. Shymil¡¯s eyes widened and he tried to scream but the gag prevented any loud sounds from escaping his mouth. Jazmine picked him up and walked back to the barn. Antonio walked towards the house. Each time he passed a slave they bowed their head in gratitude for him killing the men who had oppressed them for so long. Once he exited the field the main house was not far. He quickly made his way to the main house and climbed the stairs to the front door. Elizabeth and another woman opened the front door. Elizabeth was sobbing. ¡°What is the matter?¡± asked Antonio ¡°The master¡­. He¡­.", said Elizabeth "The master, what did he do?" " He raped me last night?¡± ¡°I am sorry but it will never happen again¡±, said Antonio as he lowered his head. I have done this numerous times when I was a slave owner. Now seeing the slave¡¯s reaction I can see how vile of an act it is. I never looked at them as people but seeing things from their perspective, I can truly understand their feelings. My past actions were wrong and I will fight to make things right. Antonio looked her in the eye and wiped her tears then went inside the house. The two women followed him. He walked up the stairs and went to the Master¡¯s room. ¡°Is he in there?¡± asked Antonio ¡°Yes, he just finished his bath¡±, replied the other woman who accompanied him. ¡°Good that means he is unarmed. Move back and do not interfere.¡± Antonio placed his shield on his arm then kicked the door to the master¡¯s room open. It burst open and Antonio sprang into action. The master was completely taken by surprise. Antonio began thrusting his sword at him. He tried to dodge Antonio¡¯s strikes but his body was still suffering from his injuries. He rolled on the floor to avoid another of Antonio¡¯s strikes but his wounds caused him to wince in pain. ¡°What are you doing? You were supposed to protect me¡±, said Sky ¡°Protect you? How can I protect someone who crucifies, starves, and rapes people?¡± Antonio said as he closed in on Sky. ¡°They are slaves. They are property that I purchased and they broke the rules of my house. They deserved to be punished.¡± Sky said as he tried to back away. "Punished?! Punished for what?! What possible reason would you have to crucify them and starve them." "I don''t have to explain myself to you. I am your master. Drop you weapon now!" As he retreated, his back hit the wall. Antonio had been maneuvering him to a corner in the room. Now he had no place left to go. ¡°They are only slaves? They deserved that kind of punishment? You are my master? No not anymore. Today you will only know me as the bringer of your death. Now you will get your punishment¡± said Antonio as he smashed himself into sky leading with his shield. - 25 (200) ¡°This is for the people you crucified!¡± Antonio thrust his blade into Sky¡¯s abdomen then pulled it out. Bleeding - 30 (170) ¡°This is for the people you starved!¡± Antonio thrust his blade into Sky¡¯s abdomen then pulled it out twice. - 5 (Bleeding) -30 -30 (105) ¡°And this is for raping the women!¡± Antonio thrust his blade into Sky¡¯s abdomen then pulled it out three times. - 5 (bleeding) -30 -30 -30 (10) Antonio stepped back and removed his shield. Master Sky collapsed on the floor. His body was hemorrhaging blood. Antonio¡¯s lowered his blade then pointed it towards Elizabeth who was startled. ¡°Don¡¯t be afraid. Elizabeth, would you like to end his life since he violated you so horribly?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°Really? I have dreamt about this for a long time¡±, she replied ¡°Then come and end his worthless life¡±, said Antonio as he hand her the blade. She took the blade in both of her hands. She raised it high above her head and then drove it down into Sky¡¯s neck. His head rolled off and blood gushed onto her face. She kept on hacking away at his body until Antonio grabbed her. ¡°It is over. He is dead. Now you are free.¡± She buried her head in his chest and began crying. As she regained her composure, Mistress Storm came around the corner. ¡°What is all of that¡­¡±, the Mistress stopped her speech when she saw the gruesome scene of her husband beheaded on the floor next to two bloody slaves. Elizabeth grabbed the sword and dashed towards her thrusting the blade into her stomach. The mistress was impaled to the wall. ¡°You bitch this is what you deserve¡±, said Elizabeth as she took the blade out and stabbed her repeatedly. The hallway was filled with blood and the two slave owners were dead. ¡°Get word out to the other slaves to meet at the barn. We have one more of these things to kill before we are truly free.¡± Elizabeth and the other woman nodded and then they all left the main house. Antonio went back to the barn where he found Jazmine sitting on a stack of hay and Shymil laying on the floor with his arms or what was left of them wrapped in leather. ¡°Thank you Jazmine. Now as promised I will remove the collar.¡± Antonio opened the lock on her collar and she began to roll her neck in a circle. Then she rubbed the back of her neck. ¡°Man that thing is uncomfortable¡±, said Jazmine ¡°What will you do now?¡± asked Antonio ¡°Well I am intrigued by you and I would love to kill some more elves so I think I will stay here for a while. Plus you said you could teach me to improve my fighting skills to beat someone with a great defense like you.¡± ¡°I think I can convince them to let you stay just make sure you stay with me as some people may not be able to easily forgive the beastman race for being one of the races that enslaved all of humanity.¡± ¡°I can understand that. But what do you mean stay with you?¡± ¡°I meant live with me.¡± ¡°What!?¡± ¡°Well you could live on your own and risk someone trying to kill you in your sleep. At least with me, you will be safe from those kind of sneak attacks.¡± ¡°You make a good point but don¡¯t try anything funny or I will kill you.¡± ¡°Please. You couldn¡¯t kill me if you wanted to and don¡¯t flatter yourself I can control myself. Soon the slaves began coming into the barn one after the other. ¡°Bruce, is that everyone?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°Yes, I think so¡±, replied Bruce There were about 25 slaves in the barn including Antonio. I have waited a long time to see you die¡±, said Cid ¡°Fuck you old man!¡± "Fuck off huh? Didn''t your parents teach you to respect your elders? You will learn to day!" said Cid with an angry look in his eye. Antonio handed his sword to Cid. ¡°That won¡¯t be necessary¡±, said Cid. ¡°I have a better idea for this bastard¡± Just then he let out an ear piercing whistle. A moment later the crowd began to part as Magnus ran to Cid and sat down at his side. ¡°No, No, No!¡± screamed Shymil ¡°Kill!¡±, Cid Magnus darted forward and jumped onto Shymil knocking him to the ground. Magnus began biting Shymil in his face. The crowd went silent as they watched the gruesome sight. Magnus¡¯s massive jaws ended the ordeal when they clamped down on the man¡¯s neck and he began shaking Shymil. The dog¡¯s vicious shaking ended up ripping the man¡¯s head right off killing him. The crowd cheered.

The people began nodding their heads. ¡°Then I shall do as you ask. As leader my first official request is for the people who were crucified behind the house to be fed. Once this is done I would like to hold a feast to celebrate our new found freedom. The people cheered! ¡°What will we do we the catwoman over there?¡±, asked a younger man ¡°First, her name is Jazmine. Second, she was an integral part of us getting our freedom so no harm shall come to her as long as she does not harm anyone else. Third, a guiding principal in our new society will be that everyone deserves to live their life no matter what race they are.¡± "But her kind enslaved humans like us. Why should we let her live here", said a young woman. "So you feel we should be just like those that imprisoned us? We should sink to their level and just keep the cycle of master and slave going! Or do you want to be different and change this world!?" The people cheered at his words as they moved the hearts of the people. ¡°Now everyone please go get ready for the feast. Bruce and Jazmine, please help me release the people who are being crucified in the back of the house.¡± Antonio, Bruce, and Jazmine cut the people down from behind the house. They were in bad shape. Most of them were on the verge of death. ¡°Jazmine quickly get them some water. Bruce go get the doctor¡±, said Antono They rushed to their respective tasks and after a few moments jasmine brought back to of the maids from inside the house with 3 containers of water. They immediately began giving the injured people water. After they drank some water, they quietly offered their thanks to the 3 for rescuing them from the cross. Soon Bruce returned with the doctor. ¡°Antonio give them each some of this numbing potion.¡± He did as the doctor instructed and then the doctor began placing some herbs onto the wounds of each of the people. ¡°Now it is up to them. We need to get them to a place where they can rest.¡± Antonio and Bruce picked the men up one at a time and took them into the house. The laid each of them into one of the rooms. They repeated the process and carried all of the people into the house. ¡°Alright now let them rest. I will keep an eye on them throughout the night¡±, said the doctor Bruce, Jazmine, and Antonio nodded and left the room. Bruce returned to the Smithy while Jazmine and Antonio returned to the barn. ¡°You were pretty charismatic back there. I almost believed that you actually had leadership experience¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°Well¡­ How do you know I don¡¯t?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°You¡¯re a slave how could you possibly have any real leadership experience?¡± ¡°You shouldn¡¯t judge a book by its cover.¡± ¡°Yeah and speaking of that how did you read those books?¡± ¡°My secret¡±, Antonio said with a wink. ¡°Alright I¡¯m a little tired I¡¯m going to take a nap.¡± Antonio laid back on a pile of hay with his hands behind his head. ¡°Do you mind if I join you?¡±, asked Jazmine ¡°Oh now you want to sleep with me?¡± Antonio said smiling ¡°Don¡¯t flatter yourself. It is just¡­ just a little ummm¡­ cold in here. Yeah that¡¯s right a little cold.¡± ¡°If that is what you have to tell yourself. Anyway come on you can lay next to me.¡± She came over and laid down next to Antonio. Damn her body feels soft and she smells so good. I have to control myself. She is acting like she doesn¡¯t want that from me so I will respect her wishes. ¡°Come closer I¡¯m cold¡±, she said as she put Antonio¡¯s arm around her waist. He could feel her ample bottom rubbing up against him.¡± Oh my God! Does she know what this is doing to me?! ¡°Oh my! What is that you have there? It is poking me.¡± ¡°Oh its nothing don¡¯t worry about it just go to sleep.¡± She rolled over quickly and was straddling Antonio. She leaned down and kissed him. ¡°I know you want me so since you won¡¯t come and get what you want I¡¯m going to take it from you¡±, said Jazmine as she ripped Antonio¡¯s clothes off. Hay began flying everywhere as the two writhed in ecstasy. She moaned softly as he thrust his hips back and forth into her. As she reached her climax her body began to shake and she dug her sharp claws into his back leaving some deep scratches. Then he turned her over and began thrusting her from behind. He pulled her hair as she screamed for more. Then he exploded all over her and the two fell down from exhaustion. She got up and grabbed a piece of cloth that was lying on a railing and wiped her back off. Then she laid back down in his arms and they immediately fell asleep naked in the barn. Hours later Antonio woke up seeing the beautiful catwoman laying there sleeping soundly. He woke her up by gently kissing her on her neck. She let out a soft purr as she rolled over and looked him in his eyes. ¡°Next time, don¡¯t keep me waiting¡± ¡°Oh you want it again? Then you must have enjoyed yourself.¡± ¡°You know I did! I¡¯m sure you did as well judging from how sticky my body was from all your juices.¡± The both laughed loudly as they got dressed and went up to the main house for the banquet. Once they arrived at the house, they saw everyone eating, drinking, and dancing wildly. The party was amazing. The people were letting years of pent up feelings out all at once. The smell of meat filled the air. As Antonio came to the table where the food was he saw several large pieces of meat that had been carved up. Antonio grabbed a plate and filled as high as he could. ¡°You must be hungry!¡±, said one of the female maids. ¡°Yeah I worked up an appetite earlier¡±, replied Antonio as he winked at Jazmine. Jazmine blushed as she turned her head from his lustful looks. She grabbed a plate of food that was much more modest than Antonio¡¯s. They sat down out near the roaring fire that the group had blazing. Antonio began to gorge himself. Oh my God! This food is amazing! I can¡¯t get enough! Bruce brought over some glasses of wine. ¡°A toast to our hero, Antonio!¡± Everyone raised their glass and said, ¡°Cheers!¡± Antonio clinked his glass with Bruce and he drank up. This wine is pretty good. It¡¯s not as good as some of my more expensive stuff from home but it is much better than I have had in a while. The group continued dancing and as music was played on a variety of instruments. Antonio watched as the women danced. He hadn¡¯t noticed it before but many of the women were actually quite attractive. When they were not all covered with dirt from working in the fields. Elizabeth came and grabbed Antonio and brought him into the dance. He danced with the group until he was too exhausted to continue. When he went to sit back down Elizabeth grabbed his arm again. ¡°I can¡¯t dance anymore¡±, said Antonio ¡°I¡¯m not asking you to dance. I want to show you to your new room.¡± ¡°What do you mean my new room?¡± ¡°Well we all decided that you shouldn¡¯t sleep in the barn if you are going to be our leader so we voted and we want you to live in the master¡¯s old room.¡± ¡°So can I escort you to your room?¡± ¡°I think that sounds like a good idea but, Jazmine has to come with us because I am not completely sure she will remain unharmed if I leave her alone.¡± ¡°I¡¯m not against that.¡± What the hell!? I can¡¯t stop thinking about you.¡± ¡°Then lead the way my dear¡±, said Antonio as he stood up and took her hand. ¡°Come Jazmine.¡± ¡°Where are we going?¡± ¡°I thought you said you wanted me to take charge next time?¡± ¡°I did¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°Well this is me taking charge, now get your ass over here. Oh and you¡¯re not against having another partner are you?¡± ¡°No, I¡¯m not against it at all as long as I¡¯m satisfied¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°Don¡¯t worry you will be¡±, said Elizabeth ¡°Ooooohhh! I like her¡± said Jazmine ¡°You will like me even more when we get to the bedroom¡± ¡°Don¡¯t forget about me!¡±, said Antonio. ¡°We won¡¯t!¡± the two ladies said in unison. The three rushed off to Antonio¡¯s new bedroom. The three kissed each other all over their bodies. Elizabeth was surprisingly limber and skilled with her tongue. The screaming and moaning from behind that closed door could be heard all over the house. As he looked to his left and his right there were two beautiful women laying on his chest. Both were sleeping soundly and there was no way for him to awaken without waking them. This life doesn¡¯t seem so bad so far. After freeing everyone and organizing a new community I guess I earned the right to sleep in today. Another hour or so past by and the two ladies woke up. They got up out of the bed and Antonio woke up to see their naked bodies walk away and begin to put on their clothes. After they got dressed Jazmine kissed Elizabeth passionately. ¡°You were right I do like you a lot more now¡±, Jazmine said smiling ¡°I told you so¡±, replied Elizabeth. ¡°Hey where is mine?¡± asked Antonio. The two ladies smiled and jumped into the bed and both kissed him. ¡°You have a busy day today leader. You need to go through the town and assign duties for people¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°Can you go with me? I don¡¯t know any of the people in the community so your input would be greatly beneficial.¡± ¡°I think I can do that¡±, said Elizabeth ¡°You better or I may have to give you a spanking¡±, said Antonio as he gently smacked her round, firm behind. ¡°That wouldn¡¯t be much of a punishment because as you learned last night I like that", she said with a devilish grin. "But I will go with you to help¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°I want in on that action¡±, said Jazmine as she turned her back to Antonio and stuck out her rear end. Antonio smacked her on the rear as well and she giggled in delight. ¡°Alright it¡¯s time to go to work¡±, said Antonio as he put on his clothes. The group went downstairs where there was food prepared. The trio ate until they were full and thanked the cooks. Once they were outside, Elizabeth went up to a large bell that was located at the front of the main house. ¡°What are you doing?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°This bell is a signal for everyone to meet here at the main house. We would ring this in case of impending danger. This should bring everyone here so you can talk to them all at once.¡± ¡°Smart and beautiful, you are definitely the total package¡±, said Antonio. ¡°I second that¡± said Jazmine. Elizabeth began ringing the bell. After a few moments the entire community gathered in front of the main house. ¡°Alright everyone it is time to organize our community. We will need some specialized workers like a tailor, blacksmith, chef, carpenters, and doctor. We will also need some people to do labor jobs like lumberjacks, farmers, and cattle herders. Lastly, we will need people train as an armed force.¡± ¡°I¡¯m already the blacksmith¡±, said Bruce ¡°I¡¯m already the doctor¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry I never got your name.¡± ¡°Oh, my name is Eli¡± ¡°Ok Eli is the doctor and Bruce is the blacksmith. Does anyone have the Chef or cook jobs¡± ¡°Yes I do. My name is Kyle. I have the chef job.¡± ¡°Ok does anyone have the tailor job?¡± ¡°Yes I do. My name is Karen¡± ¡°Does anyone have the carpenter or woodworker job?¡± ¡°I do¡±, said an older man ¡°So do I¡±, said a man about Antonio¡¯s age ¡°Ok who would like to be the cattle herder?¡± ¡°Oh Magnus and I can take care of that¡±, said Cid ¡°Now who would like to be lumberjacks?¡± 5 men stepped forward and volunteered. ¡°Up next are the farmers. Who would like that job?¡± 3 men and 5 women stepped forward. ¡°Alright who would like to be part of the armed force?¡± 11 people stepped forward, Elizabeth was one of them. Antonio smiled and said, ¡°Wow that many? With some training we will be able to move on and free more people who are being enslaved. Alright now that everyone has their jobs please begin working on them, all except the soldiers." ¡°Before we go what will we call our new town, Antonio?¡±, asked Bruce ¡°I have the perfect name, Avalon after the last great human city.¡± The people cheered! The would-be soldiers moved forward and gathered in a semi-circle around Antonio. He began to address them. ¡°I am going to train you in the art of war. You will begin each day with daily body weight exercises. Once we finish with that then you will begin weapon training. Each of you will choose a weapon that feels best for you. It will take some time to get each of you weapons as we don¡¯t have very many materials. I will save the weapons I have in the cart for those that show real progress. ¡°Once you complete your weapon training then you then having sparring sessions to give you real combat practice. Since we don¡¯t have any weapons at the moment we will work on hand-to-hand combat skills. Alright everyone go to the plains area behind the main house.¡± Everyone ran behind Antonio to the back of the house. ¡°This will be our main training area. Does anyone have any combat experience besides myself and Jazmine?¡± No one responded. Dammit, I have an army of complete amateurs. This is going to be difficult. Antonio looked over the entire group and saw that all of them were level 1 and none of them had a combat class. Most of them had good strength and endurance. I guess the strength and endurance came from being a slave. ¡°Everyone down on the ground. Put your hands under your chest. These are called pushups. " Antonio demonstrated the pushup by beginning in the start position then raised himself up by extending his arms. He then lowered his body back to start postion. "Now you guys do it!" The group as many pushups as they could. As the group kept going some people fell off and could no longer continue. The people fell off one by one until only 3 remained, Antonio and 2 other younger men. Not bad. With their strength these guys maybe capable of using those greatswords.

The pushups continued until they reached nearly 200 then both of the younger men fell out in exhaustion. The next exercise was jumping jacks. Antonio taught them how to do them and the group began. After about 200 jumping jacks the group was breathing heavily. Once they took a chance to catch their breath. ¡°Alright now we are going to run to build up our endurance. Follow me and try to keep up.¡± The group took off running. Because of her high agility Jazmine was out front even ahead of Antonio. The continued running and the pace began to pick up. As several of the people in the group were recently being crucified their stamina was very low. They fell off after only a few moments. The group continued running until no one could continue.

To Antonio¡¯s surprise one of the ones who lasted the longest was Elizabeth. I guess that would explain her stamina last night. ¡°Alright now we are going to do the same circuit again and again and again until we can do it 5 times.¡± Several members of the group groaned but they continued diligently. Each time the group was able to do more of each exercise until they finished. Antonio checked his stat increases.

Several other members nodded their heads showing their agreement. ¡°Good that means our training is working¡±, said Antonio. ¡°Now we are going to move on to combat training.¡± The group paired off into groups of two. Antonio demonstrated how to get into a basic fighting stance with his chin tucked behind his shoulders. His feet were shoulder¡¯s width apart. His right hand was tucked so that it protected his chin and his left hand was out a little past his shoulder so that he could quickly attack his opponent.¡± ¡°Alright now the first thing you need to know about combat is how to move. You need to move so that your feet do not cross and you don¡¯t want your feet to get too close or too far apart. So watch and then follow.¡± He moved forward, back, left, and right. The group followed in kind. Some of them crossed their feet moving sideways. Antonio corrected any mistakes that he saw.

He also had them practice each of those 500 times. Many of the people were struggling to complete all of his training but they stuck with and made it through. ¡°Last thing for today you will learn to dodge. This will be one of the most important skills on the battle field. You must be able to avoid attacks to stay alive.¡± He demonstrated how to dodge to the right and left to avoid an attack and move into a more advantageous position. They practiced with their partners until Antonio was satisfied. Once he was satisfied. ¡°Now I want you to practice the skills I taught at a slow speed. I don¡¯t want anyone injured. One partner practices throwing all of the attacks you learned. The other partner will practice dodging the blows. Be careful not to injure your partner.¡± The group nodded and took their positions. Antonio stood in front of Jazmine. She began throwing punches and kicks at him. He watched her as the blows came one after the other. He dodged them little by little.

After a little while went by he told the partners to switch places. The group switched and the roles reversed. He began attacking Jazmine with punches and front kicks as she avoided them. ¡°This is a little slow for me I am not a novice like these other people. Can you please speed up some?¡±, asked Jazmine. ¡°I can speed up just be careful.¡± Antonio began speeding up and he began throwing the attacks and he varied which attacks came and the order that they came in. Jazmine was able to keep up for a little while but soon the attacks began to be too fast for her to dodge all of them. Suddenly, Antonio had to stop one of the punches just before it hit her square in the face. ¡°Well I guess that was a little too fast for me¡±, said Jazmine ¡°Yeah we could all use some training especially in the basics¡±, replied Antonio They resumed the attack and defense training for a few more moments before Antonio dismissed the group for the day. Once everyone left Antonio asked the 2 ladies to go do to jobs before they met up for dinner. ¡°Jazmine go to Bruce and ask him to start making arrow heads because some of the people I saw are not suited for hand to hand combat. Their endurance is far below the normal so I will make them into archers.¡± ¡°I understand¡±, said Jazmine as she walked off towards the blacksmith shop. ¡°Elizabeth, is there any place we can get leather?¡± ¡°Yes there are some wild animals in the forest not far from here but they are kind of dangerous so we do not challenge them¡±, replied Elizabeth ¡°Hmmm¡­. I believe we will need to increase our skills before we can take those on. For the time being I would like you to ask the woodworker to make some practice weapons for us. The weapons should be some small daggers, shortswords, longswords, greatswords, and shields. After that could they begin making some arrows.¡± ¡°I can do that.¡± ¡°Before you leave can you tell me where I can find Karen?¡± ¡°She is probably working at her loom which is on the first floor of the master¡¯s house.¡± ¡°Thanks I¡¯m going to head there now.¡± ¡°I will meet you back at the main house after I finish¡±, said Elizabeth as she began walking away. Antonio then went to the tailor to get some cloth. can use it to make some training dummies for everyone to practice with. He quickly headed towards the main house and found Karen just as Elizabeth said. He entered the room. There he saw a middle aged woman with long black hair working diligently at a loom. She was making blankets from cotton. I guess she felt the first thing was to keep people warm at night. Not a bad idea. ¡°Hello, we haven¡¯t been formally introduced but I am Antonio.¡± ¡°Everyone knows you in this community now and my name is Karen. How may I help you?¡± ¡°I would like a couple of torso sized pieces of fabric so that I can make training dummies for the soldiers. It will allow them to practice weapon techniques without hurting each other.¡± ¡°I think I can do that. It will take men about 3 days as I am currently making blankets for everyone. Many of the people have been sleeping on the ground and in the evening it gets very cold. We need to keep everyone healthy so our community stays strong right?¡± ¡°I agree 100%. Just let me know when you finish with them there is no rush.¡± ¡°Ok. I will work on them as soon as I finish the blankets.¡± ¡°Do you mind telling what level your tailoring job is?¡± ¡°Oh it¡¯s level 60. I have been doing this for a long time.¡± ¡°Do you know what level is the maximum?¡± ¡°I believe at level 100 your skill ranks up and you get to choose a specialization.¡± ¡°Oh that is good to know. Well thank you for all of your help.¡± ¡°No thank you for setting me free.¡± ¡°You¡¯re welcome¡±, said Antonio as he left the room. Everything is going smoothly so far. We have to get some defenses set up though. That means building a wall around this place. What could we build it from? Bricks? Wood? We will need to cut down some trees in the forest in order to get more wood. Ok the first priority should be getting our defenses solidified and building homes for all of our people. Once those tasks are done we can go out hunting for animals. Antonio made his way to the dining room where his two lovely ladies were waiting. ¡°How did things go?¡±, asked Antonio. ¡°The two carpenters said that they were focusing on building homes for the people but they would do it after everyone had a place to call home. They said it would take about a month¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°Yeah and Bruce said He would get on making the arrow heads right away but he does not have much ore left so he won¡¯t be able to make many¡±, said Jazmine ¡°Hmm¡­ A blacksmith not having another ore is definitely a problem. Is there a mine anywhere near here?¡± ¡°Yes it is about 3 days ride on horseback from here but I believe it is home to some monsters called goblins. They are not very strong but there are usually a lot of them so most people don¡¯t go near them¡±, replied Elizabeth. ¡°Well I guess we will have no choice. We will need to push our group of soldiers to improve so that we can go and mine some ore. Alright we have about a month before we can do that because that is when the carpenters will make our weapons so we need to train as hard as we can then help the labor jobs when we finish¡±, said Antonio. ¡°Ok I will help the chef because I already have the cooking skill¡±, said Elizabeth ¡°I don¡¯t have any trade skills but I think the best use of extra time would be in helping the carpenters¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°I agree. That is where I will be spending time. Oh by the way do you know if anyone here can use magic?¡± ¡°Magic? It has been hundreds of years since the knowledge of magic has been lost to humans. All of those who could use it were killed because the captors didn¡¯t want them to use it¡±, said Elizabeth. ¡°So magic is almost non-existent among humans?¡±, asked Antonio ¡°Didn¡¯t you hear her? The knowledge to use magic has been lost to humans hundreds of years ago¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°I just asked because I can use magic.¡± ¡°What?!?!¡±, They said in unison Antonio pointed his hand at the wall near them and said, ¡°Freeze!¡± Immediately, part of the wall became covered with ice. ¡°You are full of surprises Antonio¡±, said Jazmine ¡°How? What? Who are you? How do you know magic?¡± asked Elizabeth. ¡°To be honest I was given a book by this old man and it explained how to gather and manipulate mana using the 4 basic elements of wind, water, fire, and earth¡±, explained Antonio. ¡°You can read too?¡± asked Elizabeth. ¡°Yes and I will teach all of you and if anyone else can learn to use magic that would greatly increase our chances of survival¡±, said Antonio. The trio ate the food they were given and then thanked the chef before they returned to their bedroom for the night. The group disrobed and got into the large bed. Both ladies placed their heads on opposite sides of Antonio¡¯s chest. They all kissed each other. There was no wild sex this night as they all were exhausted from the day¡¯s training. Antonio was standing at the window in his bedroom. He looked back and saw the two beautiful women lying in his bed. Next, he stared out the window and saw numerous houses that had been built. People now had places to live where they could be protected against the elements. Now the carpenters were working on constructing a wall to protect the community. I guess Jazmine and I helping the carpenters actually was a great benefit. We finished all of the homes and the practice weapons a week earlier than schedule. Jazmine and I also got the carpenter job which made it much easier to do the work. Antonio looked over and saw that now there was a road that went around the entire community. It is amazing how everyone bonded together so quickly and got the work done. Now it is time for me to check my status.

Two weeks of working has improved my strength, endurance and dexterity plus some of my combat skills but now my combat group and I need some actual combat experience. Since I gained experience killing the assassins that should mean we will gain experience hunting things in the wood for their leather. Antonio got dressed and woke up the ladies then they headed to the training grounds. There they found 2 of their group already practicing. Their names were Theresa and Alexander, they were the two that showed the most promise as archers. ¡°Hey! I guess you two were getting an early start on your training¡±, said Jazmine ¡°Yeah, I got a skill called focus shot yesterday. It helps me be more accurate with my shots. It is slow but it does a lot more damage¡±, replied Alexander. ¡°Yeah I also learned a skill called rapid shot. It lets me shoot arrows in rapid succession but my accuracy is not as high¡±, said Theresa. ¡°Those sound like great skills, I¡¯m happy that our training has paid off.¡± Hmmm¡­ now I¡¯m a guardian so I can attack the enemy head on with my defense. Elizabeth and Jazmine with their swordplay should be able to do damage to the enemy from the rear. These two can deal damage at range. Now we just need some kind of way to recover some damage in the field. ¡°Antonio! Antonio! I did it!¡±, said a red haired woman as she ran up. ¡°What did you do, Sophie?¡± asked Antonio ¡°I was able to learn magic. This morning after reading that book you gave me over and over and over it happened. I gained mana and I am able to use 2 water based magic spells called water jet and cure¡±, said Sophia. ¡°Really!? That is excellent! I want you to practice that when we spar. I want you to use it to heal any and all injuries no matter how small after we finish.¡± ¡°Ok I can do that¡±, replied Sophia ¡°By the way did you gain a class since you gained the ability to cast magic spells?¡±, asked Jazmine ¡°No, I haven¡¯t gotten a class yet¡±, replied Sophia The rest of the people began to walk up. Once they all showed up they all began their training regimens. It began with everyone doing pushups until failure. This was followed by squats with a heavy piece of wood on their shoulders. After that they did situps until failure then jumping jacks until failure. Lastly they ran until exhausted and then began the cycle again. This continued for 5 cycles.

Once they finished the group began their training with weapons. Elizabeth and Jazmine used dual swords. Three of the men used great swords. 3 ladies used two daggers. There were 3 archers and 3 sword and shield users including Antonio. All of them grabbed their wooden practice weapons and began practicing on the wooden dummies that Antonio and Jazmine had made a week ago. After about an hour of practicing combo attacks on the dummies the group had a sparring session. The combatants had to continue fighting until they were struck 3 times in one round. If you were you had to leave and then another fighter would take your place. There were 2 rings going on at the same time. The warriors battled furiously all except Sophia. She sat back and healed those who received injuries. The sparring session went on for about 2 hours until all of them were exhausted.

These guys have improved dramatically. Now they are actually landing hits on me. No one landed more than one so far but it is good practice for both parties when they spar against me. I think we are ready for our first expedition into the forest. I think we can go into the forest with these wooden weapons. ¡°Everyone rest up and recover your strength. After we are rested, we are heading into the forest so that we can gain some real combat experience.¡± Everyone raised their weapons and cheered. After about an hour of resting the group got up and went towards the woods. They stood in a diamond shape. Antonio and the 2 other sword and shield users led in the front side by side. Antonio actually had his metal sword and shield and he gave the other metal shield from the carriage was given to one of the other shield users. Jazmine, Elizabeth, and the 3 dagger users were on his right. Jazmine had one practice sword and one metal sword. The 3 archers were in back while the lone healer was behind the archers. Finally the two great sword users were on his left who both had metal greatswords were on his right. They walked slowly through the woods and the encountered about a 2 dozen beasts that looked like a rat but it was about twice as large. Antonio used his observe skill on the rats.

These things are not that strong in groups they should be able to take them on. I believe me and Jazmine could defeat 1 on 1 or maybe 2 on 1 but we need the everyone to gain experience so I¡¯ll split them up into groups. ¡°Alright split up into 3 groups. Each group should have a shield user with an archer and someone to do damage. I want the healer to stay back out of combat¡±, said Antonio The groups organized as they were asked. Theresa¡¯s group attacked. She used rapid fire. The arrows rained down. Some hit the rats doing damage. The rats furiously attacked. The shield user began yelling and screaming at the rats. His loud noise attracted the rats to him. He continued yelling as they attacked him but they could not penetrate his shield defense. The dagger users moved in and began attacking the rats while they attacked the shield user. They quickly defeated the group. Meanwhile, Alexander¡¯s group had also begun fighting. Alexander started off with his focus shot. It hit and immediately killed one of the rats. Seeing the death of one of their won the rest of the rats attacked. The shield user in this group did the same he began making noise but his tactic was not as effective as the one in the Theresa¡¯s group. The enemies managed to attack some of the others but the greatsword users slashed the rats with their swords making short work of the vermin. Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. Finally, the most efficient group was Antonio¡¯s. The worst of the archers fired off an arrow. It missed badly but it did draw the attention of the rats. Antonio went into action and began drawing the attention of the rats by yelling and screaming at them.

As he kept them at bay with his shield, Jazmine and Elizabeth quickly killed the vermin. Their slashes were quick and deadly. After a few moments all of the rats were dad.

¡°How was that everyone?¡± asked Antonio ¡°Great!¡±, the group yelled in unison. ¡°Alright, Sophia make sure you take care of any injuries as they occur in battle. In order to do that you will have to carefully watch the entire battlefield. Everyone else gather around.¡± The group came around him as he knelt down over one of the rat corpses. He took is sword and began removing the skin from the rat. Some of the women became ill and vomited. ¡°I¡¯m sorry that it seems barbaric but we need to get the leather from these animals. We can also take the meat back in order to feed Magnus and his pups. Lastly we can learn about these things from see their insides. By knowing where their organs are you can attack their vital points as to be more efficient in killing them.¡± The group nodded and they all did the same. After Antonio had skinned 3 rats he got a notification.

Once the group had finished they took the leather and placed it into a bag each of them was carrying others carried the meat. ¡°Antonio it is getting dark, I think we should return home as more powerful and dangerous enemies come out when it gets dark. Plus we don¡¯t have any way to see in the dark¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°I agree let¡¯s call it a day. Everyone, let¡¯s return home.¡± The group cheered and they turned around and began walking home. Once they returned the combatants with the meat went to Cid and gave it to him for Magnus and his pups. Antonio collected all of the bags with leather and headed towards the well. Horace the archer who performed poorly followed close behind. Antonio gathered several buckets of water and placed some of the rat hides into the water. He let them begin to soak. As he worked, Horace began to speak. ¡°Um¡­ Antonio can I talk to you for a moment?¡± asked Horace ¡°Sure, what would you like to talk about?¡± said Antonio ¡°Well¡­. I don¡¯t think I am going to be any use with a bow is there anything else that I could do?¡± ¡°Well look at your stats which is the highest one? Horace pulled up his status screen and began going through the information. ¡°Intelligence is my highest stat followed by wisdom.¡± ¡°Well as far as I know the best job for someone with high intelligence and wisdom should be a mage.¡± ¡°You mean I should try to learn to use magic?¡± ¡°Yes, go to Sophia and get the book that I gave here. Try reading it and see what happens. If I am correct you will be able to learn magic and still be of use in combat.¡± ¡°Thank you, Antonio¡±, said Horace as he ran towards Sophia¡¯s home. Alright these should be about ready now. Antonio took the pieces of rat hide he had soaking and then began to rub his blade back and forth on them. As he rubbed his blade more and more of the hair and meat that was still attached was removed until the hide was completely smooth. Then he place more pieces in the water and repeated the process until all of the pieces were finished.

This is good. Now I need to create some sort of bags that allow us to gather more materials. Once we have enough leather we can start making leather equipment. I think after that we will be able to take on the goblins. If we defeat them, we will have a mine. With the mine we can make metal weapons and armor for everyone. Antonio took the leather to Karen to see what she could do with the leather. He walked into her room and found that she was cleaning up. ¡°Hey Antonio¡±, said Karen ¡°Hey Karen, how have you been?¡± ¡°I¡¯ve been great! I just got a rank up for my tailoring skill when it reached level 100 the other day. I got the specialty of armor making.¡± ¡°That¡¯s great! We could really use that. Before we can get you do that we will need something to carry more hides back here. Can you make some bags that we could use to carry more materials back from hunting?¡± ¡°I think I can do something like that.¡± ¡°One more thing, when you make them can you make some that are large some that are medium sized and some that are relatively small.¡± ¡°You are asking a lot but it will give it a try¡±, said Karen with a smile. Antonio left the leather with Karen and walked out into the hallway. It was dimly lit by candles. Antonio began checking the rooms in the house one by one. He found a room a room that contained the previous master¡¯s treasury. There were several hundred gold coins along with some beautifully colored jewels. On the wall Antonio saw the golden armor and sword used by Master Sky in their battle. Yes I think I will definitely use these when we go into battle again. I can give someone else the sword I am currently using. Now our battle strength has increased again. He checked a few more rooms but found nothing of importance. Then the last room he found a library filled with books. Hmmm¡­ this would be good for Horace and Sophia. I will also begin spending time in here as it will be on opportunity for me to learn more about this world, its customs, and the mysteries that it contains. Alright now it is time to go to bed. Alright time for bed. Antonio walked into his room to find his two ladies already in bed. Their sensual silhouettes were shown in the dancing light of the candles that were burning. Antonio stripped down and entered the bed. The two ladies wasted no time and began kissing Antonio all over. Jazmine lowered her mouth below his waist and inserted him in. Antonio¡¯s legs began to tighten as she moved up and down. Meanwhile, Elizabeth sat her ample rear on Antonio¡¯s face. He began licking and kissing as she screamed and moaned. The group changed position several times as they gave each other pleasure. Finally, the group all began moaning at once and then Antonio exploded. This time it was inside of Jazmine. ¡°Oh that feels great!¡±, said Jazmine. ¡°I want it inside me too¡± said Elizabeth. ¡°Whatever my lovely ladies want¡±, said Antonio Elizabeth moved over and breathed life back into Antonio¡¯s lovestick and the group began their dance again. In the end it culminated with Antonio released his juices inside of Elizabeth. Antonio rolled over and laid flat on his back. The two ladies rested in their normal positions on either side of his chest.
