Chapter 2 Things to do Ok, so where am I? Hmmm...despite it being so dark - I can still see clearly, being nocturnal, must be a goblin trait. Ohhh I am butt naked, I will need to do something about this later. I observe the area for about a minute. This must be a cave, it''s very small for a cave, though it''s a perfect fit for me. I will use it as a base, for now, it''s not a bad start. Alright, let''s start planning... First I need to meditate... I usually did this in my previous life in order to clear my mind and handle difficult situations. While meditating... While pondering the situation I was in, I decide to do a few things. First, I need to know my body''s limits: So after a light warm up. I start to do a little bit of shadow boxing and because I did extensive kickboxing training in my previous life, despite being a goblin, it was very easy for me. My old training routine enabled me to familiarize myself with the movement a goblin. This body is very weak physically, I would say about the strength of a kid aged around 8-10, but at least I am very agile, well I''m not expecting much for a goblin. The second part of the plan meant going outside to search for water and food. Oh, lucky me, a river - right outside my cave. I used the reflection of the river to check how I look like. As I thought, I am ugly as fuck... Green skin, pointy ears and two sharp canines. Anyways I drank my fill, but this won''t be enough. I start by searching for a thick tree branch and after finding one, around 4ft long, which looks very tough I decide it will do for now. I sharpen the spear''s edge using rocks near the river. [Weapon Crafting - level 1 - can craft primitive weapon] Another weird text..... This is one of the reasons why I chose the Spear Mastery skill because a spear is relativity easy to make, a club wouldn''t be too bad either. However, a spear is far more effective when comes to killing. Right after I finish crafting the spear, I start moving to search for prey. While searching I avoid some scary looking beast, a Giant Spider, packs of wolves and a giant snake/anaconda lol. Damn this place is dangerous, I need to move very cautiously, one mistake could lead to death. It took around 1 hour, but finally, I was able to spot my first prey. Yes, it was rabbit again...... It''s a weird looking rabbit, it has a spike on its back, like its spine is the spike and it is also popping out, it looks very sharp too. I''m assuming this rabbit would be very agile, chasing it down would be a bad idea. I need to utilize a surprise attack. I move very slowly making as little noise as possible, I hide in a bush which is close to the target and ready my wooden spear, with this the ambush was set, I just need to make it move in attacking reach. I grab a stone on the ground and then throw in front of it, after that the rabbit raises its ears, and the spike on its back starts pointing upward, it starts running towards my direction, perfect, just as planned, and when it is within my range, I immediately jump out stab it in the side of its body, it was successful, the rabbit died right away. [GobiLeo - level 2] I ate the rabbit raw, at first I was hesitant, but I needed it to survive, surprisingly it is very tasty. I took the spike and hide inside my cave. My next target is a black rabbit although this one is a bit different, it doesn''t have a spike on its back, I climbed the tree to get a better look. It''s in a group of 6, looks like they are eating, lemme have a better look... gulp... they are eating a deer! These are no ordinary rabbits, they have sharp claws and sharp teeth, they are carnivores, due to their numbers I wouldn''t stand a chance. I need to get out of here, but. The tree branch I was in snaps, and I drop to the ground. Ughhhhhh I stand up, right in front of me are 6 rabbits with sharp claws and red glowing eyes... Shit! I ran as fast as I can without stopping , it took me a while but I was able to out run them, damn I need to avoid those. I hunt down 5 more Spike rabbits until night time, they are actually quite common - in the area around my cave. I level up to level 3 then 4, apparently levelling gets harder as you level higher, at level 1 I needed to kill 1 spike rabbit, at level 2 I need to kill 2 spike rabbits, at level 3 I needed 3, if theory is correct in order to level from 99-100 I would need 99 rabbits to kill... That''s a lot of rabbits..... I took the spikes and hide them inside my cave, they could be useful later on. I gather a bunch of leaves outside and after laying them down in my cave I use them as a bedding for now after that, I went to sleep. It''s been a week now since I was summoned. I am now level 15, I notice getting a level is hardly noticeable, but after level 10 my fighting capability improved by a bit. Right now I don''t need an ambush to hunt spike rabbits, I am agile enough to catch them in a chase. I also hunt the small snakes and bats that wonder into my cave and I take the poison sacks from the snakes and hide them inside my cave. My daily routine, In the morning I would practice wielding my spear to get the blood flowing. Afterward, I eat from my stockpile of food - created from the food I save up every other day. Then the hunt begins. However, today is different I will be hunting further away and search for new prey. Hmmm, there not much prey around here I need to go even further. As I was searching, I saw a group of people..... Humans..... 1 adult male holding a shield and sword wearing leather armor, two adult females with short swords and who wear leather armor, and a brat who age looked around 10-12, they seem to be hunting a monster. Out of curiosity, I tail them very carefully. It seems that they are helping the brat to level up, they corner their prey and inflict a reasonable amount of damage but don''t kill it - then they let the brat deal the finishing blow. An hour passes, I start to become bored. Ohhh finally, something has caused them to become excited. "Boss this is a good one hehe"(adult male) "Great go catch it! That should grant a huge boost to my level"(human brat) They all nod and proceed to their target. Hmmmmn?.... Wait.... Isn''t that a goblin? End of chapter. Chapter 3 - Outsmart Crap... What should I do... That''s a goblin... Should I save it? No that¡¯s too risky, Against 4 humans I''m as good as dead... I know this coz I was a human too, also with my current body I stand no chance in a fight, and it looks like these are no ordinary humans, they seem to be well trained... But I can''t just leave that goblin to die, I was sent here to save the goblin race after all... Damn it. Wait, I need to relax. I have been in worse situations in my previous life during gaming, and I have been in tournaments and won every single game - no matter what the odds is.... This is no different it¡¯s just another battle for me to win!... I know this is totally wrong comparing game to real life situation....Fuck it I need to trust my ability. The 3 underlings surround the helpless goblin then slash it in the arm and once in the leg, weakening it for the brat to kill - but they just made a big mistake. With the brat Unguarded, I start to move as fast as I possibly can. "Boss, we caught it!"(Human male) "Uwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh help me!" (Human brat) who starts to scream after I stab him in the leg and with this, he is not much of a threat. "Huh? Boss!?"(Human male) "Uwahhhh it hurts, help me! Awaaaaaaaaah!"(Human brat) screeches while crying his lungs out. Hehehe this is really good, looks like he''s a kid from a rich family, perfect for a hostage. "You better stay where you are or I will gut him"(GobiLeo) Huh? Another goblin? "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh you monster!"says the (Brat) while running as fast as he can. Hehehe looks like his leg doesn''t hurt that much after all. "NOW! Kill that fucking goblin!"(Human male) "Huh?"(Human male then he looked up) I throw my spear at the tree behind the humans aiming for the bee hive that is nesting in the tree. Wooosh, the hive drop right on the top of their heads, and the magic started to unfold. A swarm of bees flew all over stinging them vigorously. Uwaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh, stay away! Shit..............Shit...............Shit...................! It hurts, helps me, help! The humans scream in pain, looks like the bees of this world are far more dangerous than bees on Earth. Hehehe even better for me. "Now, Run!" The poor goblin and I run as fast as possible... We run for at-least 10 mins non-stop... However, the goblin seems to be really weak from his wounds and he passes out, good thing though is that the humans seem to have given up on chasing us. Well, I''m expecting that with those bees and the brat being wounded they should be very busy. I have to carry the wounded goblin all the way to my cave. I clean his wounds and put some clean leaves the I decide to go out hunting to get some food for the both of us. When I return from hunting, the goblin is awake. "How are you feeling?"(GobiLeo) "I''m okay now, thank you..." "Good, now you eat"(GobiLeo) "Why did you help me?" "Huh? I don''t see any reason not to help my own kind?"(GobiLeo) "But still....What is your name?!" "My name is Leonidas, Call me GobiLeo, you?"(GobiLeo) "I... The next day I do my usual morning training, and then go out hunting. GobiGora though was unable to come with me, although he insisted on helping, I told him (rather strictly) that he first has to recover from his injury before he could join me during hunting. After all hunting with an injury makes you . Now that I think about it, if I ever get injured and I am unable to hunt - I could die. I need to be careful. I wonder if I can learn a healing spell, it would be really useful. I hunt, 12 dead rabbits later and I decide to stop. I eat 3 of the rabbits myself and give 2 to GobiGora, the rest I will save for later. It seems that he doesn''t ordinarily eat rabbits, he said it is too hard for him to hunt one, he normally eat frogs, mushrooms, and small lizards. I need to teach him how to hunt a rabbit later. After eating I choose to return to the area where I saved GobiGora. I''m not sure why but maybe the humans left something I could use. I follow the trail and not too far ahead what I see are dead bodies... 8 wolves, and the 4 humans from yesterday. Looks like the wolves caught the smell of their blood and hunted them but were killed instead. Due to their action unlike the wolves from earth, these wolves are far more aggressive and foolhardy most importantly willing to attack humans (and probably goblins as well) ¨C the wolves were a serious threat. Disregarding checking the first 3 humans as judging by their wounds died coz of the wolves. However, the male human injuries aren¡¯t fatal but looking at his swollen face, he must have died by the stings of the bees... Those bees are dangerous, need to keep that in mind. He really was a tough guy killing these wolves are no easy task. Wait that could have been us lying dead... Thinking about it those wolves could have tracked us instead... Well, I need to as much luck as possible thinking how weak I am right now. I close my eyes for a moment and apologize to the deceased. I used to be a human after all. "I am sorry but, I will do everything that I need to be done to survive" After that, I looted the bodies. Most of the armor are all worn out by the wolves attack, but the weapons and the shield are all in good condition... and something else, a book! I can''t really read it... As I open the book and begin to read the first page my hands start to glow and then... level 15 requirement meets, Do you want to learn Taming skill? Doing this will consume the book. Yes No ....I pause for a sec. Then choose yes... Taming level 1 - 1% chance of taming a beast/creature that is weaker than you, chances of taming increase if the target is unconscious. I skin the wolves using the short sword. Before I couldn''t skin any animals due to lack of sharp tools. Later I will turn these hides into leathers and then craft armor and clothes. I have been naked for quite a while now, not that I care much but the extra protection is a necessity in this world. Collecting this amount of hides should be enough for at least 4 -7 goblins. The meat smells bad though, but as a goblin, my stomach should be able to handle rotten meats, though I would rather hunt rabbits than eat this, it¡¯s not too appetizing for me, and I¡¯m not struggling with food so I''m leaving it. After that, I went back to my cave carrying a whole bunch of stuff with me... Damn, this is heavy... (I complained)... Arriving at the cave GobiGora greeted me with a shock expression plastered on his face... "Boss!" (GobiGora) Oh yah, I forgot to mention he started calling me boss... "Boss that¡¯s a lot of stuff! Where did you get all of that?"(GobiGora) I explain it to him. "Wow so lucky, boss!"(GobiGora) "I know, heh? Are you hungry? Let¡¯s eat now, here have some rabbit meat." (GobiLeo) "Okay boss thank so much" says (Gora) while he stuffs the rabbit meat in his mouth Hehehe eat as much as you can for now, later once you recover I will do lots of experiments with you and see how I can boost your potential bahahahaha! After eating we went to sleep. The next morning I did the usual training, then I start processing the rawhides. First I clean it removing the excess meat that is still attached to the skin then I start tanning it under the sun. Then I went out hunting. Nothing much really happened aside from trying to tame some spiked rabbit. 1% chance is really low, it always failed and after trying it a few times I was exhausted, so it does consume stamina... Chapter 5 - Mommy? It''s been 4 days since I saved GobiGora from the humans. He has fully recovered from his injuries, so I decided to let him come with me on hunting. But first he needs a weapon, he doesn''t like to use the short sword so I ask him what weapon he would prefer to use. "I want big weapon, boss big weapon is scary and strong!"(GobiGora) "Eh? Are you sure? It will be heavy."(GobiLeo) "GobiGora is strong! Don''t worry boss." (GobiGora) "Alright, Wait here"(GobiLeo) I search for the materials I''m gonna use. "Ok boss."(GobiGora) It takes us quite a while but we manage to find a suitable wood for the weapon I have in mind. It''s a really thick wood, much thicker than my wooden spear. After that, we head back to base. I use the short sword to shape it into a club. After 30 mins I finish crafting. Huge Wooden Club crafted, weapon crafting level up! The club was quite big, I don''t think a normal goblin could wield it. Well, let''s see... "Hey Gora! Come here, I''ve finished your weapon!"(GobiLeo) "Thanks boss, let me try it!" says GobiGora while he rushes towards me. He quickly takes the club from me and starts swinging it. It was pathetic............. He is barely able to swing it, whenever he does swing it - he loses his balance... I was hoping that he might be strong since he is stupid, coz that''s usually the case. Well, nevermind. "Damn it, why it is too heavy for me.... Huf...Huf...Huf" pants GobiGora. He spares me a glance, he seems to be worried... "Gora brings it here"(GobiLeo) "Sorry boss, please wait! "Ok boss..." says Gora he seems to be sad. I take the club and go to my storage space grabbing some stuff then I start crafting. Little by little I modify it into a smaller club, once I get the shape and size I want, I nail the biggest and nastiest spike I have into the edge of the club, piercing it across. Then I take some leather and wrap it around the handle. GobiGora watches me while I make his club, like a kid, he is staring in amazement. Spike Club+5 Crafted, weapon crafting level up! Hehehe it turned out quite well. "Gora here give it a try" GobiLeo says while a hand the club over to GobiGora. Without wasting time, Gora starts to swing the club like a mad man. "Boss this is great!"(GobiGora) "Glad you like it"(GobiLeo) "Thank you boss! You''re the best!"(GobiGora) "Hehehe lets go hunting now"(GobiLeo) "Ok boss!"(GobiGora) It''s already midday I wonder how much we can hunt. As usual, we avoid dangerous beasts, not that we can''t hunt them yet. But I don''t really want to take the risk, even if we somehow manage to hunt one, I don''t think we¡¯ll be able to do it unscratched. An injury is fatal, here in the wilderness there is no one to save us. So I need to be extra careful. We found a lone deer who seems to be got separated from its group. I quickly grab GobiGora who stupidly wants to charge at it right away. I told him to be quiet and explained the plan. With its four leg and slender body I''m assuming it''s faster than a goblin. So I have to use an ambush, I told Gora that I will do the ambush while he will scare it off from the other side. I made it clear that he needs to make sure it would run towards me. After everything was setup, I signal Gora to charge at it. "Run you stupid deer! RAWR!!!"(GobiGora) I don''t think you have the right to call anyone stupid... I think to myself, but anyway, let¡¯s get back to business. The deer runs towards me, it really is fast, I nearly miss the ambush. Somehow I manage to stab it in the leg, the deer stumbles to the ground. Then Gora still charging at it smashes the head with his club, shattering the skull, blood scatters all over his body and yes it died.... Damn this guy is brutal. But this will do for now it''s better than having no protection at all. I also craft a leather dress for Ceara. I put a hole at the back of it for her cute little wings and for GobiGora who''s wearing a loin cloth I craft the same armour that I have. This boosted my armour crafting level to level 3. Now that''s done I search for a good spear to use from my storage, most of them are basic iron spear must be used by common foot soldiers, I grab the one with the greatest quality, and not too worn out.

Wow this is better than expected. I waited for a bit till Gora returned from hunting his food. I handed him his new armour. I ordered him to keep an eye to Ceara while I''m gone hunting, having a kid to raise is really a pain, but raising a dragon is more painful... I say my goodbyes and went out to hunt. My first target was just a rabbit, I need to put something inside my stomach. After eating I keep searching, I need a bigger target... Then I find a wild boar it''s quite big and muscular, it have two nasty tusk that could certainly kill a goblin... But I''m no ordinary goblin... I think it notices me but it didn''t run away. The boar starts thumping its front leg in the ground as if it''s challenging me... A duel? Hehehe very well... I leave the cover of the bush and ready myself... The boar charges at me with great speed, but fast enough, like a matador I dodge it with ease... The boar tries to stop as soon as it misses but his speed is too much to do a quick stop, I didn''t waste anytime, as soon as it is turned around from me, I quickly stab it from the mouth penetrating across the skull. That was fun, but very quick... I can''t wait to have a real battle... My hunt continues, I know I need to hunt more for my glutton daughter... Morning training with Gora, then hunting. Gora went hunting first while I tanned the hides we collected, I want to collect lots of leather, I have plans for it. Then I went hunting my usual prey but with some additions like a hog, and a raccoon. I gave all the food to Ceara, and told her I ate during hunting. I know there is nowhere nearby were a dragon is capable of hunting, but this is all I can do, for now¡­ After eating we go to sleep... Well Ceara and Gora did, I have different plans tonight. I''m going for a little stroll hehehe. I haven''t eaten enough today, yes I ate during hunting but that was only a single rabbit... It''s not nearly enough for what my body really needs... I''m planning to hunt a beast tonight, a beast with lots of meat... A bigger prey... I use the cover of the night my nocturnal vision gives me an adavantage, then I start searching for prey. After a while I find a lone Rhino, usually they are always in herds, so I never thought of hunting them. Luckily I found a loner, not really sure why it is alone but I don''t really care, It''s a great opportunity for me. First it will provide lots of meat and resources, I said that because aside from it''s tough hides and it''s huge horn, the Rhino of this world seems to be protected by black metal plates covering its back, if I''m correct those might be real metals. A single Rhino have at-least 20 plates, and a single plate is at-least the size of my palm. Hehehe. Secondly it is an easy target. Well even if it''s alone it''s not really a easy target, but this one is sleeping. I move slowly and then I stab it through the neck, blood gushes out from the wound and the rhino dies in a few second. Phew... that was way too easy... I''m really hungry after all I didn''t eat that much today, but right now I¡¯m eating till my stomach burst! GobiLeo was too busy eating he didn''t realize a pack of wolves are surrounding him till it''s too late too escape. The first wolf initiates the attack, but GobiLeo dodge it by instinct. I throw my spear on of the wolves, piercing it from the neck, after I throw the spear I quickly charge towards the dead wolf, grabbing my spear back and readying myself from the upcoming attacks. As the first wolf come close I swing my spear like a sword coming from the side beating the first attacker in the head the force knock him back and stumble a few times probably breaking a few bones. The attacks didn''t stop. The next wolf jumps in the air almost at the same time my spear hit the first attacker, there is no time to change my attack momentum so I use the pummel of my spear striking the jumping wolf in the chin knocking him back as well, the last attack I dodge it by stepping to the side leaving the wolf out balance then piercing it in the gut. Stepping to the side is a technique I learned in my previous life, it is use to dodge a charging attack and counter right after. I never really had the chance to use it in actual fight aside from sparing at a few matches I had, I never thought it is actually quite effective even using a weapon, hehehe guess I gotta apply more of it from now on. Back to my current situation. 5 wolves are still alive but two of them are injured, the 3 wolves didn''t bother to attack me and retreat. Smart bastards... Now then what should I do with this two injured wolves? The first is bleeding from the head and probably has a broken leg. The other wolf doesn''t seems to be bleeding anywhere but it couldn''t stand, oh yah I struck in the chin... Should I kill them? Normally I should kill them, but I''m not normal I''m the first Goblin who will create the First Goblin Empire, and Rule Gaia! Bahahahaha! Okay enough, back to the topic.... I will not kill them, instead I gave them food, and check their injuries, it¡¯s quite hard at first they were glaring at me and showing their sharp fangs. But as soon as I gave them food they probably realize I meant no harm and let me check their wounds, these dogs are quite smart... Good thing they don¡¯t have grave injuries, we share the food and eat our fill. After eating I gathered the useful goods from the rhino and went back to the cave the two wolves followed me.
