《A Dark Prophecy of the Last Age: From One War Torn World to Another》 Prologue: The Stars Wish In the vastness of space, stars shine then slowly dim when their energy completes a full course. Shining to their utmost to glorify the worlds prestiged by them to the others. Always claiming that their world was better than others. Yet among all those flickering lights, a few star systems among them were besought with difficulties, among these, the story of a world filled in repeated battles worries a star who dims and sinks in pain. A star system among these various stars struggles to hold on to a fading reality. The beings that were molded within the star system seemed promising, yet lately after thousands of years, the sneaking darkness from another realm started to consume this star''s once joyful pastime of watching over the things given under its own protection. For this dark entity appeared from a different place, a place it was supposed to have sealed off from other worlds. In desperation, the star sought out worthy beings who might prevail against this new onslaught. Only tragic woes heard from the planet where these worthy beings fought to prevail, couldn''t prevail and sometimes succumbed to the dark entity; turning into followers; spreading even more discord and unrest. The star gave in to despair, only watching now as the place where all of its future hopes coincided, slowly destroyed themselves at the dark entities whims. Helplessly staring over the years as the things on that world waged repeated devastation. Until a voice from across the abyss answered that stars faded wish; "I''ll send those whom you cried out for but never answered for." At first the star scoffed at such a promise, for who would be willing to assist another star''s world? These beings from other places defeated that dark entity and forever sealed it in a place only known to the star. Yet, that voice kept the promise that the star earnestly hoped for. A world where the lives of its creations may live basking under Sunlight, enjoying fates meant to live out. Great accomplishments were done while the star slowly healed the past wrongs brought out by their own foolishness, granting miracles to those who desperately needed them and reprimanding those who wreaked havoc. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. A few eons past like this while the star enjoyed the prosperity of the creations it molded. During these peaceful thousands of years, the dark entity cursed and promised while confined within the sealed mechanism that those whom resembled the "heroes" will pay. Thinking of strategies and schemes, waiting till the day that some unwilling soul or a soul craving the same as it would appear. Always seeking out those that it deemed necessary for the day of release, trying to persuade candidates to free him. At long last a soul from the world heeded his calling, and quickly followed in the path that he was instructed for his release. New wars were started at his doing, collecting the desired soul energy for freedom of this seal to seek revenge on the star who dared to confine such a being as him. When the star realized what was partaking place on the world, asked in earnest the voice that answered the plea from the world that once was in turmoil: Will you assist me once more? As if in answer, commands were sent over on how to teach the stars beings for summoning powerful beings who may stand against the evil ravaging the world once more. The world consumed itself in eternal conflict between the stars cries and the dark entity bent on revenge. Sorrow slowly ate away at the star who couldn''t stand the sight of what was partaking on the world under its protection made a wish, a wish it wanted to see completed but knew that might not come true. A wish for someone to end this nightmare, A wish to once again see a world filled with Sunlight and peaceful nights.... Chapter 0: A brief history of the World Concernia part 1 "For this world, I shall grant you the right to summon Heroes." said the voice to the Star. Heroes may bring peace to a world, or bring destruction of a scale unseen before. This statement brings truth whether the hero sustains the path desired for them or decides to cast all of that away for brief moments of passionate ecstasy. In this world known as Concernia, a peaceful state of blissful fates went about their lives without worry, without a care under the heavens. No need to worry about war, only the occasional famine, various monster instances, and geographic problems. Then, on a certain day when a major astronomical predicted event meant to increase the abundance of the years food, a rift in the tectonic plates from an unknown source, reshaped most of the known world. The 5 known continents at that time were either sunk into the depths of the ocean, or turn into island chains. Leaving only 2 livable continents. Thousands of years passed before life stabilized once more along with the survivors, although most of the knowledge before disappeared. Rumors of strange occurrences slowly spread around. Rumors of....monsters with a sinister feeling. Among the races that survived the tectonic upheaval: such as the Elven, and Humans. Other races weren''t so fortunate. The Dwarven race declined towards the state of disappearance. While the Elven and Humans prospered. Creatures were also morphed to the new way of survival. An unknown influence on those animals shaped them into things that could kill any unskilled in the art of combat. With the increase in such monsters that could turn a village into a place for ghosts. Towns turned into walled fortresses. These towns battled across the years to ward of such aggression, most of these towns fell; while chosen towns slowly turned into city fortresses. part 2 As the years past, the southern part of the new continent known among the various inhabitants as "Ice Keep." Darkness crept forth from a cave, turning the entire regional area from shoreline to shoreline, a penetrating darkness dulling the senses. The majority of those who dared to stay, were consumed by the "monsters" prowling among the nightmarish twilight. Condemning the rest to flee to the northern continent. Beginning a new age for those who willed themselves to try and suppress the newly known evil lurking in the cave. Hundreds of years passed with this goal in mind. Until a few humans started to show symptoms of corruption from the evil consuming the southern continent. those affected were humans, elves, and dragons. Most of those touched by the "Curse" ravaged across the lands, no concern for friend or foe. Constantly fighting to the death, gaining power, then losing it all when faced against another cursed who overwhelmed, bringing further despair to those who already suffered from the previous predecessor. These corrupted individuals became known as the: Demonic Beings. Bringing untold disaster to any doomed enough to cross their paths. A thousand years passed under the new menace. The new Demonic race wrought out to the world sought out their wildest desires. Living in the moment, dealing out rewards on a fancy, or death to those who angered them unwillingly. Obsessed with experimentation and the desire to evolve into more formidable individuals. The Demonic beings sought out appropriate test subjects. Monsters, animals, Humans, and even Elves weren''t able to escape the sensational desire. Hundreds of years passed. With all this experimentation, another species separate from the Elven, Human, and Demonic Beings emerged into the world. The Beast race meant to do the bidding of the Demonic Beings. Holding Greater strength of humans, yet not great in power to match an elf or dragon. This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. CONQUEST! The Demonic Beings fought, fought, and fought to overwhelm the Humans and Elves. Gaining ground some years, then being defeated into retreat the next. This pattern continued for a few hundred years. part 3 When the star at this age in time noticed the unbalance of the world, the star gave in to remorse. Thinking that all was over. Sent out a plea for help. A voice answered granting the Star the right to let the humans and elves summon others with the power to repel the onslaught. The star hinted at those from the humans and elves who could listen to their natural surroundings, passed on this secret to them. Rejoicing, The humans and elves struck back. Cornering the Demons on the southern right of the Continent Concernia. This led to a truce where neither could gain ground from the Elves, Humans and Demonic Beings with their Beast race. A few hundred years went by peacefully, although a few skirmishes happened, no side was willing to break the calm. New found peaceful co-existence during this time allowed the Demonic Beings to break free from the influence that controlled them unmercifully, also allowing the beast race to escape the subjugation as well. Not knowing the cause, all they could do was rejoice in their new found freedom. Decades passed while cities and towns flourished. Then, as if in response to this cheerful state, a whisper started to circulate. A rumor that a being covered in darkness would appear from the elven race that would consume the world till nothing remained. part 4 Not believing these whisperings that started to weave among the cities. The Humans, Demons, and Beats discussed this recent uproar with the Elven who denied such an accusation. Declaring that such absurdities wouldn''t be tolerated among their own kind as well. Although the discussion went on among the 4 kingdoms on whom might gain advantage of such a threat. Fear among the towns not close towards the Elves, grew rampant. Vigilante groups sprang together to hunt the elves, shouting "For Peace!" Numerous atrocities to traveling groups of Elves in the Human, Beast, and Demon Kingdoms arrived back to the Elven. Despite the attempts by the kingdoms to quell such nonsense, different factions demanding the extermination of the Elves gained power and finally took over the opponents; whether from assassination, public support, or poisoning. War was declared against the Elves 5 years later. In all the recorded history of war, the wars against the Elves turned infamous upon the total amount of firepower thrown at each other. Mountains turned into bogs, Forests turned into desert, Ravines sprang forth from the ground on a massive scale. The landscape changed into a living hell where ever the 4 kingdoms fought. Even the Middle part of the Continent split apart into several massive pieces on the shear scale that the first war brought forth. These bloody wars became known later as the 500 year long war. 5 wars war raised, several various armistices were reached, yet the last major war finally ended the atrocious massacres. Elven city fell to the Humans, Beasts, and Demons; hundreds were killed while the rest were turned into slaves for the victors. Relics were smashed, Sacred places desecrated, and an important balance was broken. After all this, the supposed end never came, but the arrogance didn''t leave, since the current thought of the world only viewed the elves now as "evil" not as "good." Anymore. Lamenting on their lost power, Lamenting on the fate bestowed to them. The Elves also wished for an end to this curse they now fight. The curse chained into them. The wish for someone to release the world of this darkness. On A Certain Day: Part 1 The Void The Last thing that I remember before passing out, I think I was on the train heading to my daily lecturing at that particular University. Although, after experiencing a strange lurching, loud noises¡I don¡¯t recall anything else. Now, as I try to see where I¡¯m currently at; darkness of such intensity resonates. When I yell out, ¡°Anyone there!?!¡± No Sounds of anger, joy, or sorrow are sent my way. Perplexed on the complete lack of sound, noises, and normal vibrations, I¡¯m forced to lay around within this vast wasteland of a space with no footing of any kind that I may stand on. Time of no meaning envelopes me as I float. Wondering how I ended up in this predicament in the first place, crosses my thoughts every so often. If I could escape from this place, I would of done that already, yet knowing the method then implementing the resolution of how to flee might result in death. Death? Ah, I see now. So I Died. That was no strange mishap on the train, but a clear and loud explosion towards the front of the train. Thus concluding the inevitable, and ghastly end to many a passenger. Even though strict security was stationed at all the terminals. Well, the attack on trains would still happen as a result of those damn radical Muslims. Peaceful!? Peaceful my ass! Anyone who worships the false ideals of a pedophile should really burn in Hell! Ah! Seems my anger got the best of me. Now I have to seethe all that frustration on an unjust and unlooked for death for what seems to by my new place of residence. Even if I want to demand a redue on my own demise, it seems I cannot. Well, might as well take a very, very long nap till someone else decides to disturb this place of eternal rest. Goodbye life, and hello sleep! Let us become friends for a while¡ ¡Á Without knowing how long I slept. I regained a sense of consciousness. I awoke to a slowly changing void of eternal night. -to increasingly brighter shades of Black to Grey, then white of such intensity, I thought I went Blind from the sheer brightness encasing the void. Guess this place of my new residence does go through various phases. ¡°Actually, this is only occurring because of my influence. Not a phase.¡± A deep and booming voice resonates. Guess that idea went out the window. ¡°Seems so.¡± Stated the voice in reply to my thought. Before My very eyes, the world of a white void metamorphosed into a massive hall of pillars of equal length and absurd Height. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. Complete with hieroglyphic depictions unknown to me¡is that¡Kanji? ¡°-Don¡¯t get over your head on that answer. For it is neither true nor false. Just remember that every culture rises and falls in the passage of time. Even your way of life with your own culture faces its own troubles, like as of right now. It¡¯s up to your own culture sense of unity to stand united, will it survive the way lays of fate.¡± For a voice that I know not, I feel like I gained a headache instead. ¡°Seems I haven¡¯t introduced myself yet. I was once a Deity of your world in the ancient past. I once justified your Heroes-now long forgotten. I gave reason to those with no other choice, for good or evil. Yet, evil never truly won the confrontation with true righteous principles from your world. I pray that will continue, I truly do.¡± Is that so? I pray so too, but recently, I can¡¯t tell anymore from what I witnessed¡before I died¡pitifully. ¡°Your right on that, which was why my elder deities took a surprisingly serious view of intervention. Your world is on the verge of yet another world war. But this time around the Gods¡¯ won¡¯t idly stand by and see all our hard work over these millions of years go to waste. For I, The Deity of Retribution receives your world¡¯s cry of vengeance once again towards those that disregard the teachings we tried to instill upon your race. Don¡¯t worry little one, that false prophet won¡¯t have his way anymore.¡± Towards the end of that sentence the very space I resided in gained a sense of a chill resembling deep winter frost. Oh Look! Particles of frost floating around¡. seems someone is angry. ¡°I digress, that world¡¯s purposeful conclusion won¡¯t fall upon your shoulders. For that responsibility falls towards other, more well-known figures from your world¡¯s long history. Who were put there to prevent such atrocities, seems that they have grown lazy on your human festivities. They¡¯ll receive a serious scolding soon.¡± Even though I should feel relieved after hearing that, uneasiness I learned that the Gods were lazy and forgetting their duties. ¡°Walk in a straight path and you will soon find the origin of my voice. DON¡¯T make any turns or you will be lost for an eternity in these halls. The Wisps will lead you, try not to get lost now.¡± The voice sternly stated, implementing that to refuse this guidance wouldn¡¯t be wise. Nodding in acceptance, I¡floated in the path indicated by where the wisps led. On A Certain Day: Part 2 The God Known as Retribution As I float after the wisps leading the way towards the mysterious origin of the voice, I glance both to my right and left. Staring at the symbols resembling Kanji in some form and characteristic. My curiosity at trying to understand on why the mixture of Egyptian and oriental writing would-of all places-reside here. The implementation on how historically breaking this knowledge would rip apart all those so called so called ancient historical history books¡forces one question to take shape. Who exactly is this God and his role in our world? A whirlwind of guesses, hypotheses of headaches, and questions that I wouldn¡¯t even know how to answer to; creates a massive migraine. Clutching what little sanity I solely possess left, I realize that the wisps stop at the forefront of an enormous Archway Door. Emblazoned on the Door -which probably weighs several tons- the Image of a White Tree on top of a turtle, with Dragon on the Left, Lion on the Right, and an unfamiliar Bird of Prey sitting on the highest Branch, who bites down on a fruit not known to me; I give up, I will just let him explain whatever he wants to explain. Since I¡¯m at a loss on the point where this Image takes a place in history. Surrounding the edges of this image, Celtic looking artwork and figures, swirl and dance on the frame. I lose myself in the act of looking upon this wondrous work of stone masonry. Chuckling, the voice replies, ¡°That door once instilled both fear and respect once, but now¡nothing more of that Era remains.¡± And while speaking those words, the door quietly opens even with the massive amount of weight that should prohibit such actions easily. Staring past the now open archway door. I see the Deity responsible. I come to a complete screeching halt on all actions, and thoughts. For replying to my open stare. This deity stands up and walks towards me on those hoof like/birdlike feet. The height easily reaching past the height of the door I just entered. Upon his head are two horns that stand straight up well past his own height, forcing a clear increase of several feet. Yet two other horns swivel around his Elvin like ears and come short of barely passing that face. Eyes that are the deepest color gold and irises bright Red with vertical pupils, but bird shaped head. Hate to say this, bought a well-toned body with a considerable amount of scars from battles I know not of. Those hands of his could easily crush my small frame¡not including those talons of a fingernail on each finger, human shaped hands. Past his torso, his legs resemble a goat in form, but the bird feet to a certain extent, throw such thoughts aside. Especially those 2 massive feathery endowed wings of pure Navy blue. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! Even though this sight should horrify, no such emotion crosses my mind. Then, while smirking wickedly with crudely shaped smile, the Deity shrinks down to my level. Not losing a single part of his appearance in the process. Only then do I realize¡ ¡°Was I that awe-inspiring to put on an exhibition for you to not consider modesty?¡± The deity laughs. Waving his left hand, clothes of a deep Ocean blue resembling robe covers his frame, while a medallion circles his modest neck, but an adornment on the horns sticking straight up-resembling a mirror-with an unknown symbol proclaims itself. ¡°The reason I took an interest in your soul enough to snatch it out of the void you were sentenced to until further notice was to offer a second chance both to you and one of my worlds under my realm of jurisdiction.¡± Patting my head while stating such a decision. ¡°Would you consider another chance or desire to return to your ¡°sleeping?¡± The Deity smiles. That act of smiling in and of itself is scarier than I thought. Is this the fabled reincarnation? Yet the thing before me doesn¡¯t set of that feeling of ¡®Yes I would¡¯ but ¡®Why does it have to be me?¡¯ Lost in thought I only come back to my senses when I notice that the Deity responds ¡°Well, I¡¯ll give you some time to think about this offer, but decide soon or the chance for you might disappear once and for all with no second chance.¡± Sighs the Deity. Was that even supposed to be a sigh? Sounds more like scraping metal. ¡°May I at least ask on the circumstances for asking for my help? When you could clearly solve the problem yourself?¡± I retort with a frown¡or what should be a frown. Nodding his head in agreement, ¡°Then let me procure some seats and refreshments. Since after you understand, you might have a change of heart.¡± Although I think I should have a change of heart, I¡¯m more interested in the meaning for my involvement, much less on how bizarre my current state is. I agree to his request and await to hear the story which would eventually lead to a decision on my behalf. On a Certain Day: Part 3 Past and Future Instantly with yet another wave of that left hand of his, the bare room -which is the size of a football stadium in my world- became a crowded place. On one side of the room, scrolls of differing size, laid here and there, stacked in neat pyramidal shapes. Yet on the other side of the room, mechanical objects (resembling sci-fi appearances) of no obvious reasonable purpose from my understanding, claim the walls and floor. I don¡¯t even want to know what that disturbing tentacle infested table would be used for. And among all of this in the center of this massive room, An out of place table and chairs, with a tea set, rests. Taking a seat (as if it was the most natural thing in the world), the deity beckons for me to take the chair opposite. Don¡¯t know if I¡¯m being mocked or not, but why is the tea set, along with the table and chairs gold? ¡°Well, I like shiny objects that I travel upon. If I can acquire such items for my personal collection, I¡¯d swiftly take them away.¡± States this deity, smiling. Unsure of whether or not I should pick up the delicate piece tea cup, I stare at the entity. ¡°Don¡¯t worry. The tea is not poisoned. Since you are already dead, wouldn¡¯t matter either way.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯ll help myself to your offer.¡± I slowly pick up the tea cup clumsily, take a sip¡. then swallow the rest in one gulp. ¡°Addicting flavor¡± I respond. ¡°Of course the flavor of this tea would and should take an addictive flavor, for this was once the main tea prepared for your first King. Who ruled benevolently and compassionately across your five worlds. Consider yourself lucky to abstain a chance in your short existence.¡± Once I chugged the cup down, explaining; the deity only then took one small sip. ¡°Now, ask away on your questions. Since I might receive a visitor soon, I want to hurry this along in a reasonable fashion.¡± A frown appears, and a hint of pressure permeates the room. ¡°My first question. Why do you want me?¡± I asked. ¡°To send you on an errand that might lead to an early death in a new life. In compensation for accepting this errand, I¡¯d bestow upon you a Divine Gift, and protection as a God¡¯s Messenger!¡± Declares The God who points the tea cup level with my eyes. ¡°There¡¯s nothing more to say than that. IF you want more information, you¡¯d must experience it with your life on the line.¡± Guess no gains for that answer. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.¡°My Second Question. Why send me on an errand that you could possibly due yourself easily?¡± At this question, The Deity once again sighed. ¡°As Deities of great knowledge and strength. If we carelessly appear on the surface of worlds such as the one that you¡¯ll be sent to. The world might collapse from our sheer energy without restraints casted. Also, I myself must attend another important matter soon, and if I were to carelessly leave this area¡bad ending for your world. Time passes separately here than among the worlds under my governing. Especially when other Gods who might take advantage of the situation. Many a God were destroyed with this tactic. Not all Gods are benevolent, I¡¯m sure you heard what happened to Lucifer and his betrayal? Gods Rise and fall over the eons, even a few I knew fell.¡± Says the Deity sadly. At a complete loss of words, all I could do was shudder. ¡°My last question. Why is this world so important to you in order to send me of all choices?¡± ¡°The world connects to yours in a particular method unbeknownst to myself. Since I¡¯m unable to physically go down there. I¡¯m sending you in my stead to find out. Of course, the answer might take several decades, but that would only be several minutes or hours here. Another reason for this decision: You¡¯ll gain a limited chance to obtain an answer to what occurred to your past world. One more thing I must warn on. Not all heroes of that world share the same goals as you, a few might even try to harm you because of what you appear to be once I send you there. Summoned heroes turned that world into a place similarly described as ¡°Hell on Earth.¡± So look forward to many a battle to obtain all those questions.¡± The Deity stares behind the seat I reside on. ¡°Seems our questions and answers will really stop here. I apologize ahead of time, but you¡¯ll gain one more chance to ask more questions later on. For now, forcefully sending you off is bad taste, yet necessary. I look forward to your character development.¡± Even though I want to barrage him on other questions. My soul body seems to waver pathetically. The God of Retribution swiftly casts a shield of some sort upon me while sneering, ¡°Until we see each other again, just remember to not die and survive no matter what.¡± Before I vanish, I catch a glimpse to the uneasiness I felt earlier, all I can say is. I shouldn¡¯t have looked back. On a Certain Day: Part 4 Reclamation -The God of Retributions POV- For the past 500,000 years of despair I felt since that day. The day I certainly wouldn¡¯t forget. That day I witnessed before my own eyes, the sacrificial ritual I was unable to interfere at the last moment. For 500,000 years, I swore to reclaim what was stolen from my life. I swore to obtain the necessary strength to once more fight. For 500,000 years I battled for the Gods of Death. Just to revive one soul, the one soul that I failed to protect. Now, today I acquired the means to beat down any who might think their means were just. Who think that other lives are only needed for sacrificial means, and don¡¯t give a damn about the individual¡¯s soul. I, today, am taking back what is mine. No one shall stop me, nor hinder my retribution. ¡°Lilith, that body does not belong to you. Return it now, and you might be let off with only your soul¡¯s demise.¡± I spat. ¡°Oh?! You think that only after a short disappearance of time. A young upstart may be able to fight me?!¡± laughs out that voice I haven¡¯t heard since long ago, but now I only hear another voice. The one who possessed the body of my beloved. Who will receive no mercy at my hands. ¡°Yes, I dare declare so. For an old hag like you possessing that body only stains, not improves.¡± I smirk. At that insult, the cute face I fell for, turned into an unknown facial feature of anger I don¡¯t care for. ¡°For that insult, DIE!¡± A massive wave of void magic assaulted my senses. I calmly activated the shield I also casted on that young existence. I shall make you regret once and for all, for awakening my wrath. I slowly walk over within the shield, neither dodging nor pretending that her attacks actually hit. For that short petite figure of a human shaped woman, who let off a feeling of scorn and anger. Her appearance resembled what I dearly remembered, but the ritual destroyed any feelings of affection. Wings that were larger than her, shined in violet obsidian, tanned skin, Silver hair that ran down to her knees, and those eyes of pure green which drew me in so many times. Wearing a dark dress unfitting of her. Yet now, I must reclaim that body from her. Yet that Shar stone embedded into her head shall turn to dust once I¡¯m done. ¡°WHAT!?! Why isn¡¯t it working?!¡± Lilith keeps shouting in bewilderment over and over. ¡°A stolen body that isn¡¯t your own, will never willingly fight against those that it cherished most of all in its life. What part of that don¡¯t you understand? Only a body of your own may release all of its power, yet you think that body doesn¡¯t remember? Your naiver than I thought. Especially since that toy called Typhonous wasn¡¯t able to do a thing, you think that you would? Since I¡¯m the last one alive who even knows how much pain I witnessed my friends go through after defeating it. I¡¯ll repay upon you a hundred fold, but even you yourself are a puppet with strings attached.¡± This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I raise my both my hands. Chanting a spell, I learned during my life and death brawls. The spell of soul binding and separation. A high tier spell. At the hands of an inexperienced caster, harm would only befall. Restraining her as if it was the easiest thing in the world. I arrive before her. Looking down upon that face of anger. I pick her up and bring her to that table I searched far and wide for, An old Cthulhu relic. Which had the power to transfer the body and soul. Once was used for experimental practices, fell into disuse when those that knew how to operate such a thing, were no longer alive. I threw her onto the table, ignoring her ¡°Let me Go! Don¡¯t you even care about what will happen to this body anymore?!¡± ¡°Of course I do. Why do you think I threw you onto this table? Do you not recognize this?¡± I pointed here and there. Then I took out of my robe¡¯s storage space, a jar. This contained the soul of the one I went through so much effort to reclaim. Placing it upon the circular space specifically designed for the jar. Looking around on her current state, the face instantly turns pale. Trembles of fear wrack her entire body. ¡°Good, seems that even you can show fear, Lilith. Remember this the NEXT time you try to pull such a stunt before me. I will destroy you. But, for today I shall show mercy since you¡¯re not the one I vowed vengeance on.¡± Pressing a Reverse-Arrow-icon on the small stone along the rim of the table. A reverse ritual I long sought for begins. Screams of agony, curses, and foul language assault my ears. Turning a blind sight before the spectacle. I await the end result. The tentacle like objects quickly restrain her desperate attempts at breaking the seal I cast. The tentacles began to drain the power from her, causing Lilith to pant. Her struggles getting weaker, till finally I sensed the switching of souls. The one from the body went to the jar, while the one in the jar obtained the body. As if on Que, that diamond shaped Shar stone fell from her forehead. Catching it, I deftly crushed it in my hands, then opening to watch the sand fall to the floor. ¡°Since you¡¯ve obtained what you wanted, you don¡¯t mind if I reclaim what I also hold dear?¡± Says a voice I once admired, but feel no sense to show once again towards. I turn around, making sure to keep one eye on the body I went through so much to retake. ¡°So, what brings you to my dwelling, Lucifer?¡± On A Certain Day: Part 5 Revolving Lantern ¡°Hmm, Nothing much. Just wondering what you will do with that Jar now that you no longer have a use for the soul contained.¡± Lucifer persuasively says. ¡°What use is Lilith¡¯s soul to you? Wanting to obtain yet another mistress?¡± I openly tease him while lightly throwing the Jar up and letting it fall back on my opened hand. ¡°Tis true that the soul doesn¡¯t mean anything to me, but that body behi-¡° before he could finish that sentence, I shot a ball of light at his face. His own personal shield which briefly shone like a dark dome, absorbs and diminishes the ball. ¡°Let me finish first, sheesh. As I was saying, that body behind you wouldn¡¯t be able to survive a confrontation between the 2 of us dueling. Therefore, it is in your best interest to hand the jar over.¡± ¡°And if I don¡¯t? I can just break the jar, leaving nothing left.¡± ¡°if you do decide that, then the duel would just turn into a battle to the death. YOU personally don¡¯t want that now, do you?¡± He sneers. ¡°I¡¯ll repeat myself once more. What does this Jar mean to you?¡± I stress the words out clearly, clenching down on the jar. Pretending to initiate crushing it with one hand. ¡°Fine. Fine. You win this round.¡± Lucifer backs away a few steps. At that I make sure to cast a shield on the body behind me, just in case he tries anything. ¡°Always the cautious one. You were the brightest student I trained, but now you do the bidding of those Gods who grew fat on their own status.¡± As Lucifer states that last retort at my face, he throws down the sword which belonged to Belial, proclaiming no tricks. ¡°Well, you did train me in ALL your methods of deceit after all.¡± I answered. Placing the Jar down on the floor and backing away near the table. ¡°That was a long time ago, now I¡¯m stuck governing those dam fools who kill over the slightest thing. One does wonder how civilized humanity is when they consider how monstrously stupid they can be every now and then.¡± He extends his right hand and retrieves the jar through telekinesis. ¡°By the way, just as that person means something to you, this soul means something to me. I only became aware of it when Lilith disappeared from my side 500,000 years ago and I couldn¡¯t locate her. I only sensed her once more today when you swapped souls. I thought I wouldn¡¯t feel her presence ever again. I guess we do share a common enemy for now, but make no mistake on that. We will fight each other when the day comes, so once it does. Fight me with all your strength.¡± On those final words, he vanishes slowly, along with the sword. Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. Yes, we will fight for real in the near future. I turn around to the sleeping figure, sleeping as if nothing in the world could do any harm. Which causes me, after all these years to shed a tear in happiness. I carefully pick her up and with a wave of my right hand, send everything into the storage space. The seemingly brand new Egyptian ruin declares as if it was made yesterday. Hundreds of archaeological experts¡¯ way in on the heated struggle to conclude on whether or not this is a hoax. Causing an even more heated debate on how such a thing was possible.
