《Song of Time》 Chapter 1: Just Arrived~~ WARNING: Cussing ahead~~ "You''ve been warned. Huehuehuehuehue--... I-I''ll stop." Author looking around meekly. Don''t worry, I didn''t type it out fully and it''s just about two (I think) swear words and she won''t swear that much in the story (or so I planned but 80% of my plans didn''t go as planned). /////ooo0ooo\\\\\ Selene''s POV ''...'' ''Where the f*ck am I?'' I anxiously looked around the room where I''m currently at trying to guess what happened. ''...Where?'' I looked at my hand and saw that it''s... small. Oh, and chubby. ''Aww, what a cute hand! Not. Why the f*ck is it small? W-why can''t I move my body?'' I can feel my heart beating fast. For some reason, I felt fear and dread creeping up on me. ''W-what happened? I-I don''t usually curse like that unless something unpleasant happened... Ah, that''s right! I got trapped in my burning apartment!'' I anxiously scanned the room, searching for any traces of fire. I realized that I unconsciously gripped my tiny hands tightly into a fist and loosened it. ''Wait... So I got burned to death and now I''m in a baby''s body. Either I got reincarnated or my soul got misplaced in this body.'' I looked around for any signs of a shinigami or some soul guide/collector coming and saying that I''ll have to stay in this body until the original owner got found or persuaded to come back. ''So far no one came so I''ll say it''s good. I suppose that I got reincarnated then since there''s no way someone would survive the burns I got back then.'' I winced, once again remembering the never-ending pain of being burned and the heat surrounding me. ''...Hot. I-It''s hot... T-too warm...This room is too warm.'' I continued to look around the room and noticed that there''s not a single window. The only light source the room got was a rectangular object with a dim light coming from it above the door. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it I also noticed that the room was completely bare save for the cloth placed on the floor where I was laying. It also seems like I''m just a newborn baby, about three days old judging on my body size but I''m not sure since there''s nothing to compare myself with but judging on how hard it is to move my body, I''d say three days old. ''Hot. Too hot.'' I continued looking around the room for hours, wary of fires and smoke leaking in. So far so good, there seems to be no sign of a fire accident. ''...No good. It''s no good. The floor seems to be made of tatami mats. Even the walls are made of wood... No good... Fire can easily invade...'' A few hours has passed and the temperature noticeably decreased, making me notice the emptiness in my stomach. ''Irresponsible adults! I''m just a baby yet they leave me unattended! I''m hungry! What if there''s fire?! Tch! I hope there''s an association for newly reincarnated babies here! If I can, I''m gonna go right now and complain.'' With my nerves settling down a little thanks to the lowering temperature, my mind began to shift its attention from the surroundings to my body, assured that I''d sense a shift in the temperature if fire breaks out. ''...When will they feed me?'' It took an hour before somebody heard my prayers and entered, giving me my milk and exiting immediately after changing my clothes. I didn''t miss the look of displeasure in the lady''s face when and before she entered the room making me wonder on my identity. ''Do I really look that hideous or am I an illegitimate child of my mother or father? Hmm, that could be a problem... But please leave the door wide open for me to escape in case of fire accidents... Wait, I can''t move, much less walk... Just leave water nearby, please.'' Unfortunately, no one granted my wishes this time. Chapter 2: The Awakening A/N: Okay, I''m really REALLY frustrated right now. I already finished typing it when it got ERASED so I had to start all over again. It''s just ugh! Seriously...-:me no cry:- Fortunately, I''m not the type of person who goes on raging. Well, not that long anyway. Although I was seriously irritated for a few seconds there before I recovered. Actually, I was planning on updating yesterday but didn''t finish typing it so I''ll just update it now. Thanks for reading my story and hope you enjoy it~~ Any suggestions is welcomed (if I can apply it, that is. *shrugs shoulders*)

Selene''s POV Two years has passed since I woke up in my current body. I''m currently laying down just staring at the ceiling processing the things that I learnt from the books that I was dump-- given. Yeah. Given. After all, I was the one who first requested to be given books. Anyways, I just finished reading a certain book that tells me the reason why no one told me my name. It appears that children receive their name when they reach the age of five to six years in a ceremony at the temple of their parent''s choice where their magic affinities and whatsoever are shown for all to see. This world''s culture gives off an odd sense of familiarity that gives me a bad feeling. In fact I''m very familiar with it. I just hope it isn''t what I think, but if it isn''t then good for me. I sat up after gathering my thoughts and looked around my room. Not much has changed except for the numerous books and scrolls expertly scattered around by the floor in a way that it actually looks good and stylish. The language in this world seems to use Japanese(/Nihongo) since I heard some words an outsider like me (a bit of an otaku but doesn''t really study Japan''s language) commonly hears like hai(yes), arigato(thank you), and their honorifics like san, chan and kun which solidified my theory of the language being or alike Japan''s. Thanks to those clues, I got an easier time of getting a hold of the language. But of course I didn''t completely mastered it since I have no one to ask. The servants here doesn''t seem to look forward to talking with me so I just use connect the dots when encountering words I don''t know when I''m reading a book. After a year, I was able to communicate and hold a decent conversation with others but of course I won''t. Even now, after two years has passed since I first woke up here, no one has heard my voice yet. Not once did I also step out of my room this past two years, and neither did the servants seemed too thrilled to see me out either so I stayed inside completely unbothered. Wait... I did hear them say something about my parents ordering them not to let me out of the room... There was also a bathroom connected to my room that was installed when I turned a year old so I only need food, clothes, books, and scrolls delivered to me. Speaking of which, I have never seen my current ''parents'' even once but from what I gathered when the servants who were cleaning my room were having their ''rumors session'' when I was just about less than a year old, it seems that my family''s part of the upper echelon of this kingdom''s nobility. No one ever mentioned about me being an illegitimate child so it lowers the chance that I am indeed one so the hate that I receive from the servants seems to be branched off from my privileges from my birthright and the expected behavior of my bratty noble self in the future. I think... Newsflash, I won''t! Or at least I''ll try not to act too bratty ''cuz I''m still a noble. I''m given privileges to act unreasonable. Mhm. Makes sense. ''Well, I WILL be one had I not kept my memories intact. Locking me up and all... Actually, that works in my favor so I won''t complain about being kept in here. I still need time to recover before facing the large ball of fire the runs around the heavens acting as if it''s king and all. My current hatest enemy: the sun.*Drum roll~~~~*'' I reached for a blank scroll along with my brush and ink and started to draw whatever comes to mind. Brushing aside the strands of hair that has fallen in front of my face, I raised my head and looked at my artwork. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. Displaying themselves proudly, a fire spirit and a water spirit can be seen fighting each other which made them look like they''re gracefully dancing around. This is one of the things that I like in this world. Magic can be used in almost everything. I discovered that I can make my drawings move about half a year ago when I was imagining a 3D version of whatever it is that I was drawing in my mind and imagining how it will move. An unfamiliar feeling began to flow within my veins at that time with a slight hum. Without breaking my attention on my drawing, I inspected it and concluded that it won''t do any harm which, indeed, is the case. Making stories through my drawings has been my primary source of entertainment followed by reading books from this world. ''Wow... This is every animator''s dream skill. Just draw and use your imagination then you''re finished!'' The two spirits continued their dance with the water spirit steadily gaining the upper hand. ''Die, you damned fire demon! Die!'' I glared at the fire spirit and returned my smile when the water spirit destroyed it thoroughly. Hearing footsteps nearing my door, I quickly wrote the date on the upper corner part of the scroll before sealing it close and gently rolled it away from me towards a pile of scrolls in the corner. Knocks suddenly invaded the room before a servant entered holding a tray with a small cup of rice and a soup with only vegetables in it in an equally small cup. ''Seriously, even a one year old won''t get satisfied with this, let alone a two year old! Hey, I''m a growing girl which means I need as much nutrients that I need as much as I can!'' I picked up the chopsticks and was halfway picking up a vegetable when I felt the temperature change. "Fire." I mumbled, gripping the chopsticks a bit too hard when I heard it crack. ''Hot... Too hot...'' "...Eh?" The servant who was about to go out of my room seemed to notice the abnormality in my behavior and stood by the door watching me. "Fire...ter...Water... WHERE''S WATER?! Firefirefirefire..." I pressed my hands that was formed into a fist and closed my eyes as the last moments of my past life resurfaced again. "Fire... fire..." I noticed that I unconsciously started to tremble in my crouched position. I opened my eyes and looked around searching for any signs of fire invading my room. My sanctuary. I clearly heard the other servants running around from the distance trying to put out the fire. I tightly closed my eyes again and braced myself, tensing as if the fire would come and swallow me again in just a second when I felt the temperature drastically decrease. I relaxed myself and opened my eyes. Water. I looked around me and saw water floating around me moving about as if it''s alive. Looking at my hair, water droplets seemed to form in it and clung while shining as if it''s crystals despite the lack of light within the room. I opened my hands right in front of me. As if moving by my will, one of the floating water came to me and stopped just above my palm. I imagined it bouncing up and down of my palm only to see it moving exactly to how I envisioned its movements. I smiled and gave a satisfied hum before calculating that amount of water around me. ''Hmm, the amount of water here can cover me from the fire for about ten minutes before it evaporates... Well, it''s better than none. I hope my house isn''t as big as how I estimated it to be in accordance to the spaciousness of my room.'' I noticed that the fire outside has already been taken care of since the temperature got cooler outside of my room which slightly affected the temperature inside my room. I looked at the tray that was shoved aside on the floor and sighed in relief when I saw that nothing spilled. I pulled it closer to me and turned my eyes to the chopsticks that I was still holding. Turning my gaze back at the servant who was still at the door standing transfixed looking at me and the still floating water around me, I held out my hand, broken chopsticks on top. "...Replace it." I said. Chapter 3: Cant Be My Parents Selene''s POV Three years has passed since I woke up in this world. Ever since the incident that happened a year ago, the servants became more distant and won''t even set foot in my room anymore. Looks of disgust and fear grew more and more apparent each and everytime they accidentally saw me through the door ever since I activated my elemental magic. It caused quite a ruckus within the house that it somehow even reached my parent''s ears. Wondering on why they act like that, I indirectly requested for a history book containing magic history in it and found out that the people here can''t activate their magic without help from the temple where they forcefully push open the ''block'' in the body that prevents magic from manifesting which they like to call as ''Divine Purification''. Of course anomalies like me appear every now and then, but the thing is, majority of the people here has ''weak'' magic. The most powerful anomaly, like me, can only cast a damn fireball as big as a girl''s fist, but she was treated as a monster and they conducted what in my previous world would be called as a ''Witch Hunt''. They hunted her down and ''purified'' her but the priests there has reported that her soul has gone too far. Their only chance to free her soul from the devil is to destroy her body where ''the Devil deeply resides''. Something is kinda fishy there... No. It''s DEFINITELY fishy. In my opinion, it''s the temple wanting to control the people, and they don''t need strong ones that can destroy them. Even the ''government'' (nobility or whatsoever) of this world has also contributed to the hunt. They were the ones who ''brought light to the danger'' that such anomalies may cause and they were the ones responsible for handing her over. By activating my elemental magic, I established myself as an anomaly. Even more so when I expertly controlled it in huge amounts. It caused such a ruckus that even the head of the family has been informed, or so they say... Oopsie. From then on, the servants would just knock at my door and open the door as necessary and just leave my food or clothes. In return, I just leave it outside my door for them to pick up. ''I''m lonelyyyyy....'' I brushed my hair one last time before fixing my dress and putting on my coat. Looks stylish. I like it. ''Well, now that I''m meeting my parents, I can request to be allowed to go out. It''s a bit too boring inside. I don''t wanna take a walk outside incognito.'' ...I thought back to the information that''s been staying inside my mind playing itself over and over again like a broken record. This might be bad. No, this is possibly bad. I''m an anomaly so there''s a chance they''ll turn me over to the temple... Noooo... Now I don''t know whether to wish that this world is the same as THAT one or not... If it is really THAT and I am the one who I think I am right now, then there might be a chance that they won''t hand me over... I hope. I''m currently sitting on my bed that can be easily identified as a comforter with my feet folded underneath me and heard a servant coming near my room. The servant finally got in front of my door and knocked before telling me to come out if I''m ready. I got up and slipped in my footwear that was right in front of the door. Taking in a deep breath, I slid open the door. Taking my historical first step outside, I felt pure excitement course through me, dwarfing the hesitation and nervousness that I felt. ...If ever there''s any since I generally don''t care. ''...So it''s just that? Boo. Boring.'' The main reason why I don''t even try to go out is because where would I go? So with no destination in mind, I decided to stay put in my room. ''...'' No matter how many times I looked around again and again, I still can''t believe what I''m seeing. ''Is this like, a pseudo-heaven? Everything''s so... clean. So white. So...'' "Shiny." I mumbled in a low voice. I tried my best not to touch anything, even the floor. The whole place just makes me feel so out of place and felt filthy because of the out of the world cleanliness it has. I''d feel bad to stain such a lovely clean place. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. ''...How big is this house? It''s been twenty minutes!'' Along the way, we passed by many corridors and rooms. There''s also a numerous amount of servants in here. ''There''s about... a hundred of them? No. More than a hundred of them.'' We continued walking for another twenty minutes before we finally reached what seems like the living room. It''s four times bigger than my room, and my room has already been one thing. My room''s as big and wide as two massive and long trucks parked in front of the other and the height''s about the two trucks placed one on top of the other. The living room looks like it can fit about four hundred plus people inside and still have space to walk around. Despite the fact that they''re behind earth in terms of technology, their materials are enough to compensate for the lack of convenience for the people. Like, there''s no cars but carriages instead. Although their machines or whatever are more Eco-friendly than on earth''s since they use magic as the foundation and base for majority of their products so they''re behind in a way. It''s actually very fascinating. ''...I like it. I like this house.'' The living room''s theme color is blue. Nice. The table and chair''s frames or whatever seems to be made of gold. The glass on the table looks very shiny and sturdy. Underneath is an entire floor of aquarium like, literally. A sturdy... glass? Well, whatever the thing is looks very sturdy. Every time you touch the floor, an almost invisible rainbow colored ripples will be produced. Nice. Very nice. There''s even mini waterfalls starting from the ceiling running down the rocky walls towards the floor with the windows behind it so people can see outside. In the gaps between the mini waterfalls are vines firmly clinging on the wall with blue rose-like flowers releasing a soft glow as if it''s made of water with gems at its center. Although I was amazed, I was aware that my expression is still the same as ever. An indifferent one. The servant guiding me seemed pretty surprised at my lack of expression. ''Meh. Not all people can quickly change their expression, you know? (A/N: true story) I was born (?) with this face.'' The servant walked towards one of the sofas placed at the center and stood at the side, so I sat next to the servant. ''...So soft...'' After sitting down, I inconspicuously looked at the seat and confirmed its existence. ''Ah, so it''s still there. Made me think for a second that I''m sitting on nothing but air.'' The servant guiding me went out of the living room and came back holding a tray with tea on it. After handing me my tea, the servant stood by the side again. "Lyla-sama and Knight-sama will be arriving shortly." After saying that, the servant turned around and once again walked out of the room. ''In other words, they''re on their way, eh?'' I just slowly sipped my tea and played with my creation, the water guardian. Her face is the size of a teenager''s thumb nail and her upper body is about two centimeters in length. Her lower body is that of a mermaid''s. Her flowy hair is four centimeters long. I made her by using my elemental magic and combined it to my drawing. I''m currently on the process of making her ''human'' form and is expecting to finish in a week. Although she has her own consciousness, unfortunately, she can''t talk but it has been more fun and livelier with her around than when I was alone back then. "How cute! I didn''t know my daughter was this cute! Knight, don''t come here with your filthy self. You''ll stain her. Go away! Aww, she''s even playing with magic!" A girly voice suddenly exclaimed squealing with happiness. ...Nope. No no. I refuse. Maybe they got the wrong room... THEY can''t be my parents. Chapter 4: Heading For Destruction Selene''s POV ''...I''m in trouble.'' "Waahhh, so cute! My daughter''s so cute!" Mother said while hugging me. "Yeah. It''s probably because of my genes." My strict and kinda scary looking father gently but swiftly picked me up, pulling me away from mother''s arms that has been caging me in for the past two hours since they entered and hugged me. They have been showering me with so much praises that even I can feel the slight increase in my ego. ''This is bad... Extremely bad... Please, just let them look like HER parents. Please.'' "Haha, Knight, what are you saying? Have you gone mad? No way she''ll take after you. You''re too filthy. Now let go of my daughter." Mother coolly said trying to look calm, but the twitching in her left eye seems to think otherwise. ''...At this rate, I''ll die because of them. It looks like I''m going down THAT route... God no... Please, I''ll pray to all saints, angels, gods and whoever else, just don''t let me head to my destruction because of THEM! Just... no. It was too pitiful that even I feel sorry for HER.'' "Oho? Did I hear right? Your eyesight must be turning bad. Oh well. It''s just you after all. Go on and have that stupid little tea party with your idiotic ''friends''. Just don''t come near my daughter, you''re bad influence." Father said, his expression always nonchalant as if he doesn''t really care. ''Oh please. You''re both bad influence. Is it really alright to talk like that with your daughter who''s around the age to copy everything the grown ups say around her?... I think? Or was it one year olds who copy others? Eh, whatever. Seems their relationship is not the best of the best here. In the game, they were practically in sync when pampering HER--... Ah, now I get it. They''ll team up just to dote on me... Well, maybe even SHE got annoyed by their quarrels. But I do hope it isn''t the case. I''ll certainly be destroyed beyond saving if they go down that route. It''s just too pitiful...'' "..." Mother''s smile started to thin and grew more tense while she''s just looking at my father like he''s an insect. Eww, disgusting. Sorry, but I find insects disgusting. It''s the absolute NOPE. "..." Father''s arms coiled around me tightly but not too tight. They stayed silent and glared at each other. Ah, I can see lightning... How fascinating. ''Am I cursed to die young? My death''s kinda secured in the future, so please don''t kill me right now. Oh, my death meter''s rising higher and higher...'' I peeked at mother and saw that her golden blonde hair was starting to float and... is that the... What is it again? The demon of jealousy or something mask... Hannya Mask? I started to notice that father''s grip is slowly starting to tighten up, constricting me wholly against his upper body. Is it me that''s small or it''s father that''s too big? I wonder... ''Mother, I admire you for your courage to stand up against such a giant but please... I can sense friendly fire coming my way. Please act your age. I don''t wanna die like this. At least I want to go down fighting against the main characters of this world... If they exist. I hope not but I want to meet them. *Sigh* It''s getting too complicated.'' Racking my brain for a solution to get out of my current situation, I mentally face palmed myself for what I''m about to do but decided that my life is more important than my dignity. The dignity of a fifteen year old who''s praised to be more mature and serious than the other fifteen year olds. Or maybe eighteen years old? Well, I''m technically eighteen years old mentally after all despite my very much younger body. "...Mother?...Father?" I softly called out, and slightly bowed my head to hide the redness that was showing itself on my cheeks because of the genuine embarrassment that I felt. I bit my lower lip and squeezed my eyes close. Ah, my dignity... I can see it flying away. Goodbye... I opened my eyes but kept it on the floor and started fidgeting. Finally mustering enough courage to look at them, I cautiously peeked at them. They''re looking at me with a gentle gaze and a smile on their faces. Relieved to know that I haven''t done anything weird, I smiled back at them without holding back. They got all googly eyed and their faces turned red. Oopsie. I forgot that this face is a powerful weapon in itself. Mother squealed and reached for me but stopped to cup her red cheeks instead and squealed again. Father gently let go of me and turned around covering the lower part of his face with his right hand, although his bright red ears is a telltale sign of his current status. Aww, he''s embarrassed! ''...Seriously? Are they just... that or is my smile too effective? Anyways, it''s a job well done.'' Silence finally settled in the room for the first time since they entered. I remembered the question that I''ve been pondering on for some time now. "U-umm..." *Sigh* So being isolated for about three years can affect someone unconsciously. Now I know. "Yes? What is it, my daughter?" Mother asked encouraging me to talk while provoking my father at the same time. Father looked like he was gonna retort back on what she said so I decided to start talking, saving myself plenty of time and effort. What bad role models. "Umm... Why was I locked up in my room?" I asked while tugging at the cuff of my left sleeve, being careful not to tug at it too much and end up damaging it. Umm, I don''t think I used polite speech there... Talking to yourself is bad. Extremely bad. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. "I''m very sorry, my child. It''s just that your grandfather has issues with children. To keep you safe, we didn''t fight against the idea of locking you up in the corner of this house that was presented by your grandfather. Even if we did fight against it, we can''t do much since he''s the head of our household. His words is law itself, so there''s totally nothing we could do. We were even prohibited from visiting you . Don''t worry, now that your grandfather has stepped down, we can finally let you out, so you can walk around freely. But mind your manners if ever you encounter him. He is, after all, the former head of our household." Father looked at me with regret and softly patted my head, looking really serious. "It''s fine. It wasn''t mother and father''s fault... right? So you have nothing to apologize for." I said, kinda happy that it was not really their fault. Oh, that''s right. Something like this was mentioned at the game. One of the reasons why SHE became like that. "No no. It feels like we could have tried harder. You''re so smart and mature already, so it must have been lonely there. Just look at you. You look too fragile." Mother worriedly looked at me and ''accidentally'' pushed father. Way to go, mother. Just when I was really getting touched, you just have to go and ruin it. Haaa, but I still like you. You''re nice. "We''re gonna go around and travel to wherever you want to go. Just the two of us." Father said happily looking at me. "Haah? Are you stupid, you filth? Who''s gonna manage our land then? And no way will I let my daughter come with such a filth. Rather, it''ll be just me and you, daughter." Mother said to father full of hostility but softened her voice when she turned to me. "Well, who else but you? You''ve always been proud of your ''managing skills'' so it''s time you prove yourself." Father disinterestedly said to mother. "You''re gonna push all the work to a GIRL? You''re the head of the house so you do the job." Mother said in a matter-of-fact voice. "Be a good wife and do as your husband says. Me and my daughter will travel around." Father said sounding annoyed. ''Seriously? This again?'' I sighed and turned around heading back straight to my room. I''m thanking the heavens for my good memory that prevented me from getting lost. A few minutes later after I entered my room, I first heard voices before hearing their footsteps. They were pushing each other on the way here, it seems. ''Wow. Really mature. Really mature.'' They started attacki-- knocking on my door. It seems like anymore and the door will break. ''...It''s a wood enchanted with a protective barrier and they''re destroying it just by ''knocking'' on it.'' I sighed once again and stood up, but didn''t open the door. Only a fool would open the door when there''s a barrage of fists flying around. "...Mother, father.... Can you please step aside for a moment?" I asked in a small voice that''s loud enough for them to hear. The noises came to a halt and I heard some shuffling behind the door. Probably them backing up a bit. I opened the door and saw my distressed looking parents with my mother in tears and my father wearing a heavy atmosphere. "Mother, father, I apologize for my rude behavior. I should have told you first before that I was going back to my quarters. Please forgive me." I bowed my head and stayed in that position. "...You''re right. It was very rude of you. As punishment, you''ll be sleeping in my room tonight." Mother said, her face clearing up and looking extremely relieved and proud of what she just said. "No, we''re sorry for showing you such behavior, daughter. But your punishment will be to call me papa--" Father got cut off by my mother who was glaring angrily at him. "No! She''ll sleep with me for a whole week! Go away." Mother shooed at father while waving her hands dismissively at him. This is starting to get really annoying. And it''s REALLY starting to resemble THAT game... That otome game, Song of Time. I''m very sure I''m being pushed closer to my destruction because my parents and the said extremely doting parents in question will be the one to worsen or push me to my ''retribution'' for being an ''obstacle'' on both the good and bad end. I''m heading straight for destruction.

A/N: I will be updating at least two to three chapters every week since I don''t write at all at home, and Saturdays and Sundays will be the days when the computer will be unavailable because of my sibling. I''ve also been hoping to write a few chapters ahead on my notebook but somehow, I caught the disease known as author''s block. Every avid reader''s nemesis. Nah, it''s just a partial author''s block so it''s just the ideas coming at me very very slowly. Currently, I just wrote about a page (back to back) and a half (only one side) of chapter five currently. Next release will either be four or five days later after this chapter''s release. Thanks for reading and hope that you''ll continue reading [th_059_.gif] Will edit this chapter later since I''m too sleepy right now. I''ll make more mistakes instead of correcting it so yeah, when I come back from school  Chapter 5: Before IT Begins A/N: The ''dress'' that I mention here pertains to a gown since they''re government is the monarchy one so when they say nobles and royalties, gowns and... armors? is kinda what immediately comes to mind in terms of wardrobe. Just saying this since the dresses now was the above or below the knee length ones nowadays. Correct me if dress is the wrong term for gowns. [th_081_.gif] And also, I''m currently at chapter 10. Hopefully, I won''t get too lazy to type the following chapters. So here''s a little(?) peek about the game''s main characters and some infos. /////ooo0ooo\\\\\ Selene''s POV ...So cute... "Daughter, you look lovely! Oh, you''ll look extremely lovely in this one too! This too! How wonderful!" Mother excitedly said putting dress after dress on me. "Yeah... This one''s cute... And this too. This one... just make some adjustments here and there and it''ll be cute. Ooh, I like this one! It''s really elegant." I excitedly glanced at the pile of dresses that was just by my side. "You like this? Don''t worry, I''ll tell the tailor to make more of this one." Grinning happily at me, mother held the dress that I liked and set it aside for later. It has some kind of modern look with roses in it AND it''s blue! ''*Sigh* I really miss the convenience my previous world provided me. There''s no TV, computer, and whatsoever to entertain me here. Although it''s one of this world''s good points since I get to wear a dress! But nothing beats the life of lazing around watching or whatever and eating foods with unhealthy ingredients...'' "Thank you!" I smiled brightly at mother while restlessly bouncing up and down on the heels of my feet. I always wanted to try wearing a dress since it seemed cute, but never really had the reason and money to freely do so. Since I died at the age of fifteen, I never got to attend my sixteenth and eighteenth birthday along with my prom where I can totally wear a dress with a legit reason buuut, I died. I died because of a damn fire. So it was just my curiosity and attraction to them that drives me to cheerfully fit dresses with my mother. Though I''m sure that pretty soon, I won''t be as elated as I am right now. Oh well, it''s one of the packages that comes with being a girl. Yup. I blame being a girl for being girly. ...That... does not make sense... I think... Anyways, I like cute and pretty things. That''s normal for girls. Anything cute and shiny attracts me. "You''re sooo cute! I wonder what your name will be. I hope it''s cute." Mother patted my cheek lightly. Right now, I can feel warmth coursing through my body. Mother looked.... very motherly. Looking at me straight in the eyes with her royal violet eyes and her rose colored lips that was arced upwards into a smile, she looked prettier. ''So mature...'' I smiled back at my mother with pure happiness, but then the door opened. "Go away! Knight, don''t.you.dare.set.foot.here!" Mother yelled in an icy tone that would put Antarctica to shame. ''...or not...'' "This is MY house. You go out. Daughter, come and greet father. Ignore that little pest over there." Father spat out in an equally cold voice. One could sense the venom lying underneath but turned soft when speaking to me. Father, I''m also within the ''little'' category right now, but I won''t give much hope for my height because of my mother, though I think that it''s father making her look smaller. I ran towards father and wrapped my arms around his neck while he scooped me up and carried me in his arms. "Father, please make sure not to crush me." I accidentally said. I blame my instinct and foresight. "Of course not. I love you too much to let that happen unlike a certain pest that almost lost control." Father gave a quick glare at mother and unconsciously tightened his hold on me. I sent him a pointed look. Thankfully, he realized he was squeezing me. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. "You brute! Get away from her." Mother growled out. "Brute? Oh, no. You''re wrong. Completely wrong. It''s the other way around. Such an idiot." Father sharpened his gaze at mother who was glaring back. *Sigh* Lyla and Knight Solera, the renowned heroes of Some[So-meh], the kingdom I''m currently in. They were one of the people who fought in the frontlines during the great monster invasion which resulted to many casualties and had the potential to wipe out the whole kingdom and even half of the population of the whole continent. To make long story short, if not for the ''heroes'' that risked their lives to fight in the invasion, everyone could have died. The whole kingdom owes the ''frontline'' heroes their lives. Those heroes'' family and rank sky rocketed to the point where if they killed someone, they just get detained in the dungeon for awhile. Basically, even the royal family cannot oppose those heroes and their houses(/family). Because of Lyla and Knight''s doting along with some unfortunate situations happening, HER personality became so distorted that she''s extremely unreasonable. If ever I get handed over, the temple wouldn''t be so bold to kill ME, one of the stronger and more important heroes'' daughter. They would probably just toss me at the deepest and darkest part of the dungeon and leave me there to rot. That way, my death would be ''because it''s my fate to come back to the Gods''. ''*Sigh* What a bleak future.'' Within two years time, the game''s real life preliminary will start with all the capture targets gathering at the ceremony. I need to get ready within two years ,else I would be high fived in the face by the bad end. Theo, the heir of the biggest and wealthiest conglomerate within the whole continent. Jack, the rising commoner warrior of the warrior''s guild. Wilhem, one of the pope candidates. Gabriel, Song of Time''s ultimate villainess'' long lost brother. Eric, Some Kingdom''s crown prince. A total of five capture targets plus a secret character and the other villainess girls for the other routes. First, I need to confirm whether I really have a brother-- "You make me want to claw my eyes out!" Mother spat out. --and build connections with him. Stable enough for him not to-- "I should be the one saying that." Father said full of annoyance. --kill me... *Sigh* "Mother, did you not have an appointment arranged this afternoon? Father, you just came back. You must be tired, right? I''ll take my lea--" I said, already retreating to the peace of my room but was intercepted. "No. No such thing. I can just cancel that appointment with those filth--" Holding my hand to make me stay, mother also got cut off by father. Also, please don''t say ''filth'' in front of your three year old child. "Don''t worry. A ride across the kingdom isn''t enough to tire me out. But my daughter''s right, Lyla. Go to your appointment." Father said crossing his arms, his voice sounding smug. "I''m sorry, mother, father. But it''s already nap time." I said and made myself look a little worn out to get sent out faster to the sanctuary that my room is. Heh. Nap time? No such thing. The servants doesn''t really care about me after all. Hmm, I need to look for my brother to get the best results as fast as I can to win him over. I need to find him before the game''s start begins.

A/N: So I did say in the previous chapter that I would update the day after today or yesterday, but I just got too lazy and didn''t make it in time so I had to continue it today. :somethi: Also, corrections would be greatly welcomed (something seems wrong with this sentence... whatever). Do tell if it''s a bit too ''unconnected''. I''ll try to edit it. *Still haven''t checked the previous chapter
