《The Progenitor》 Chapter 1- THE MARK OF THE NEW ERA Early April----- During highschool, The one and only event of the school which highschool students were waiting for is the field trip.Students feels enthusiasm during this one''s in a lifetime event, and right now the 3rd year students of X highschool feels this excitement, each of them came early than the appointed time, except for one person. This high school is particularly small were each year were only composed of one section, with 40 students Currently, most of the students, including the teachers were already present and ready to go. The rented buses were already full of them , which were specifically rented just for this field trip. Except for one. "I know, I know. I''m on the way, It''s just the traffic is terrible." Kenji said on the phone with a lazy expression. "Stop b*llsh*tting me, Mr. Kenji Santos. Your house is just walking distance from here. So hurry up, you''re already 40 minutes late, and the only one were waiting for. " A voice resounded from the phone scolding Kenji. "Ok .Ok. Im nearly there." As Kenji said this line, he hung up the phone and started to sprint forward. His destination? School, after all this was the meeting place. In truth Kenji didn''t want to attend the fieldtrip cause to him it was troublesome, if only wasn''t he was blackmailed he won''t attend, Don''t ask what it was. He was just only threatened that he will repeat a year if he didn''t attend. As he was sprinting, beads of sweat started to form on his face and body. His breathing started to get rough. Running wasn''t his forte-----no. He wasn''t used to any kinds of any physical activity, which is suited towards his slender build with a height of 5''9. However even during running his lazy expression, especially on his brown eyes, still haven''t disappeared. His long black hair reaching his shoulder, ponytailed though and well he has a reason for this, flutters as the wind brush off on his face. On his back was a big black bag which was about to burst out. Without being aware of the time. He already arrived, as he slowly catch his breath, a familiar voice rang out. "Kenji, Hurry up already, don''t tell me, you''re planning on staying there?" It was a woman around late 20''s. She has a long black hair reaching his waist, light brown complexion. And her face can be call fair, however even she already on her late 20s she was still single. It was his class adviser, Rose Luna. "Just *puff* give me *puff* minute" Kenji replied while panting as he was still out of breath " I was *puff* running towards here *puff* from our house without *puff* stopping". "Well sad to say this but, we''re already out of time, cause we already gave it to you so, get your butt on the bus." Rose replied coldly to him. ''Ok. Ok, so strict. That is why you''re still single'' he didn''t dare to blurt out these words for he knew if this came out a world war 3 will commence. As soon as he gotten inside. The students, whose already inside, suddenly became quiet as they saw Kenji, after a few breaths, they started to get rowdy again. No one dared to talk to Kenji nor go near him. As for Kenji he was already used to this kind of treatment and went a vacant seat beside a window, as soon as he got seated he went to reach his headphones on his bag and started to do his favorite hobby which is sleeping. A few seconds they already left. No one dare to go sit beside after all they will only be brush-off. Which is the reason why Kenji is alone. At first many of them tried to talk or invote Kenji to hangout which he always decline, reason? It''s a pain. As time passes he was branded as a loner and anti social. Which Kenji doesn''t know, well the reason why Kenji don''t interact is because for him it''s a pain to remember their names, and hang out with them. His relationship with his adviser is what you can''t call a teacher-student relationship, for he was his auntie from his mother side and his guardian, his parents died 3 years ago and his mother''s sister took custody to him. They didn''t tell us about our destination, they just told us to bring some things and all I can see are trees, is this a forest? Well maybe this is north'' In front of him was a sea of trees. however he still entered despite knowing the fact this was a forest which he wasn''t knowledgeable about. It''s been a few hours since he entered the forest, he was lucky he only encountered some timid wild animals, such as monkeys, boars and some small lizards. And not dangerous ones, before he knows it the sun already set. ''Shit, I''m lost.'' I should''ve stayed in there and return sleeping, fuck why didn''t I do that'' He cursed himself. '' I need to find a shelter to spend the night, it''s already dark. Wait. I saw a cave earlier.'' While he was searching he ran into a cave however he didn''t have the time to explore so he ignored it. As he was going towards the cave he is picking some firewood along the way to use. Even though he is like this he was still fairly knowledgeable about stuff like this for it wasn''t the first time he was camping. As soon he arrived in the cave the first thing he saw were some mysterious markings on the walls, however because due to the lack of light he still cant see the markings clearly. He started to make a torch which is created from a bundle of fire wood and some cloth with alcohol. And decided to explore the cave. As he was going deeper and deeper inside the cave the mysterious markings were increasing in numbers, until he reached the end of the caved which feels like eternity. At the end what he saw was a big door on the ground on its center was a transparent ball with size of a basketball ball. Being a human, his curiosity led him to touch the ball, as soon he touched the ball, it started to produce azure color lights which is enough to illuminate the whole cave. The lights started to gather towards to the door on the ground. The marking on the wall were peeled off from their place and also started to gather on the door. Each of them were lined which resulted into forming into a sentence, written in an unknown language. Plss write some reviews for me to improve the story Chapter 2 - Mana As he read those words, the ground begin to tremble, causing him to lose balance and fall. It was not only on this cave but all around the world. The door beneath him started to open, inside the door were blue streaks of light, as it continue to open ,the strange thing is that Kenji didn''t fall instead he was floating. "Shit, what is happening?" Kenji complained, as he was floating. The streaks of blue light started to converge and condense around him, covering his whole body in a blue cocoon-like shell. What he didn''t know that that blue light is mana. As he was being covered in a cocoon. Intense pain started to invade him, every inch of his body is feeling intense pain. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!!" Even his mind is feeling pain like he was being tortured alive. Due to the pain his mind can''t resist it and fell unconscious. "Where am I? Ahh shit, it hurts." He woke up, with his head aching, and saw himself standing on nothing surrounded by endless darkness. Like in an endless void. "So you woke up, it''s been ages" as he was still in trance, a domineering voice resounded. The previously dark place startex to lighten up a bit, a holographic figure of a female, like a mannequin, devoid of any facial parts nor body parts, only composed by a body, arms, head and legs. "Eh? Who are you? And where am I?" Kenji asked, startled. "Me, You can call me, Greta. Youre in a special realm created by me, you''re here because currently your body is undergoing changes due to sudden mana interaction, and if I didn''t separated your consciousness from your body you might go crazy because of intense pain, but that doesn''t matter," It replied, as it was missing a mouth, it voice resounded on his mind like telepathy. " What I want to say is, Congratulations" "For what?" Indeed, He was confused. First he woke up in this unknown place, second, There was this thing named called Greta, which appearance is out of this world and lastly is what was happening. Chapter 3 -To survive In the middle of the forest, beneath the lush, green trees, a cocoon-like shell with the color of azure can be found. Its size was that a human can fit in it. The cocoon lies in here in stillness, no sound can be heard until now. "CRACK" The cocoon started to produce cracking sounds, it didn''t for almost a few minutes. "BOOM" A huge crashing sound came. It was also from the cocoon, the surface on the shell started to open, there a figure is surfacing, this process was similar to a caterpillar emeging from it''s pupae becoming a butterfly. Nevertheless, the figure is Kenji. However compared before many changes happened to him, first his height increase by an inch. His previously long black hair became much longer reaching to his waist. His eyes which is brown turned into violet like an amethyst, And what changes most was his light brown complexion change to pale white, his skin can almost cause any woman to be envious. His body was still slender however his muscles became more dense compared to before. Overall his new appearance, can make both men and women blushed. "Shit, my head hurts " Kenji having woken up was still feeling nauseous. But that didn''t hindered him from cursing. "Wait. Where am I? I know I should be in a cave." He was surprised seeing the change in surroundings. He knew he should be in the cave where everything began. Seeing this he can''t helped but cursed, which made him think about what to wear first, but within his sight, he saw a clothe inside the cocoon. It was what he was wearing before everything happened, black shirt, and gray jeans of course there is an underwear, grasping the set of clothes, somehow he felt thankful towards who sent this. After changing. He sat down thinking of something. What he was thinking? It was about what to do to survive. Being alone in this forest, he didn''t know, on when he will get out on this forest, so for the time being, he need to find a source of food and water first. He also need to find a shelter. Overall he need to fulfill his bodily needs. With that his first goal was to find a source of water, and built a temporary shelter near. Luckily it wasn''t the first time being in the wilderness. Every summer vacation, he was frequent in staying in the wilds such as forest, for almost a week, with that he polish his skills in surviving. He looked for a dry, well-drained, flat piece of land. and some leaves for bedding, some fire wood. As he was picking firewood on the ground, maybe it was because of his experience living in the wilds before or because of his new body made his instincts and reaction speed is higher than his peers. He noticed and manage to dodge the black shadow pouncing towards him. However he was a bit slower and his arm was grazed, in the process. "What the fuck is this thing.!?" Seeing the creature he cant help but mutter in disbelief. It was a boar like creature. Its size was a bit bigger compared to the boars he knew, its skin was black, with red stripes. Its horn was 8 inches long and slightly curved on the edge. And it was glaring hard on him "Don''t tell me this is what they call a monster?" He remembered what Greta said about the leveling system and monsters will appear on this world. And seeing the real thing made him realize that this is his new reality, and one wrong move will spell his death. In front of him was a monster who want to kill him And now he was being cornered, behind him was tree. His escape routes have been cut off. He knew he was fragile enough that if he was rammed by the bull he would die instantly. "Shit. What to do, fuck think................." He was now panicked. He can see the boar preparing to charge. "Is there something I can use.... ah the sticks" He remembered the sticks which he is collecting that were scattered beneath him. However the boar started to charge at high speed towards him. Seeing it charge he started to prepare himself to dodge it at the last second. His plan was simple, just when about it was about to him he will dodge on the side, and pick the sticks and stab the boar eyes using those sticks. "Now!" Using his fast reaction speed, he managed to dodge, only he grazed a little. As soon as he pick the sticks, something happened which made him feel relieved a little. It was that the boar was stuck in the tree. Its horn which was pierced in the tree and was struggling itself out. However he knew that this fortunate event will only last a few seconds, until the boar will free itself, using this as a chance. He stab the stick in the boar eyes. With sticks on its eyes the boar, cry due to pain. As Kenji expected the boar struggled and managed to escape however due to being pierced in the eyes, it was unable to see and started to ram into the another trees. This happen many times until the boar fell limp and died. After assuring it died, he walked towards it as soon as he gotten near, the boar started to disintegrate, at the same time a transparent orb, the size of a marble appeared, together with a chunk of meat. --------------- Its the third chapter. I know some of you are familiar with this skill, still i decided to use this skill because for me it is the most OP skill that ever existed. Tell me if you have suggestions or comments regarding my fiction Chapter 4 - A glimpse ¡°What is this?¡± Kenji muttered as he held the marble on his bloody hand, the strange thing was even if his hands are full of blood, it didn¡¯t stain nor dirtied the marble. Suddenly the marble started to shine brightly, forcing him to close his eyes for a bit. The light dimmed after a few seconds. Just as the light dimmed the marble started to melt on his hand, somehow the melted marble was being absorbed by his hand. As the liquid, the former marble, entered his hands. He felt unknown power spreading throughout his body. As if a new found power is surging in his veins. He knew how to cook, living alone polish his cooking skills, however now due to lack of spices nor sub ingredients, he can only roast the meat. But somehow it was perfectly cooked, it was neither undercooked nor overcooked. It was how he cooked it. After eating dinner, he went to lay down with leaves as his blanket and cover from the ground. On his mind were many things, on how will he survive, where is he, is what Greta said about being 700 years in the future true? What will he do here? He had no family, friends nor relatives. Thinking about this, he fell asleep. He was exhausted not only physically but also mentally. When he woke up , it was already noon. Somehow he slept peacefully and no one disturb nor attacked him on his sleep. Removing these from his thoughts, he felt hunger. He still have some leftovers from last night. After eating breakfast, he grab the dagger beside him and headed into the forest. ¡°I need to get stronger, strong enough that no one can threaten nor kill me. He slowly walked towards the boar, he made his steps light to avoid being noticed. As he was only a few meters near the boar, he activated his skill Rush, towards the boar, with the dagger on his left hand he aimed towards its throat. Behind him were a group of a wolf like creature, each of these wolves are gray in color with the same size as him some are slightly bigger. All of them are chasing Kenji with their red bloodshot eyes. Seeing this, Kenji can¡¯t helped but curse out loudly. All of this happen as he entered deeper inside the forest. After killing the boaradite, he went deeper into the forest on his hands were the daggers which he obtained from the boaradite. He carefully walked in the forest to avoid detection, combined with his [Stealth] his hiding ability can cause most of the monsters not to notice him. A few minutes after he entered the forest, he managed to find a wolflike creature, the wolf was 1 and a half meters long , has a black horn, with the size of a human hand. Its color was gray with streaks of black. The wolf is currently feasting on a dead boaradite, seeing how the wolf is uninjured even against the boar, he knew that the wolf was much stronger than the boar. As he regained his focus, he activated his ability [Analyze]. <> Lvl. 7 It was the first time Kenji used [Analyze] against a monster, which made him surprised with the new information in his brain. ¡°I cant kill this wolf head on, I need to kill this wolf swiftly.¡± With his [Stealth] active, Kenji slowly walked behind the wolf, like what he did with the boaradite before. ¡°Now!¡± When he was near to the wolf he activated [ Rush] and aimed towards the wolf¡¯s throat. The wolf with keen sense of smell and hearing notice the slight sounds behind him, and notice Kenji already near him, however, the wolf¡¯s speed was not inferior to Kenji and managed to dodge, however his left eye was grazed and was now bleeding. Being injured due to Kenji¡¯s ambush, the wolf, with his left eye closed, glared angrily and was emitting killing intent towards him. Kenji, seeing his ambush failed and the bloodlust emitted by the wolf, didn¡¯t lose his calm and started to formulate a new plan on how to kill it. However Kenji felt a pain on its stomach, there he saw, the wolf also managed to graze him. He was surprised, that the wolf also managed to hurt him. He knew now that the wolf was not weaker than him, however he know that the wolf held the advantage, because the wolf was more experienced in killing than him. He knew he can¡¯t fight the wolf head on, so he decided to ambush the wolf again by making it chase him and catching the wolf off-guard. Like on what he expected the wolf which have no intelligence and only acted on instinct, chase Kenji. Kenji used [Stealth] again and hid behind the tree. The wolf using the its superior smell and hearing found Kenji, and started to charge to him and was ready to pounce. Like what he expected. Kenji threw the dagger on his left hand to the wolf, which cause the wolf to flinch for a second. Seeing the it flinched, Kenji seized this chanced and activated [Rush] to the wolf, again aiming on its neck. With the dagger on its neck, blood spurted from its neck as Kenji pull the dagger, staining him. In his last moments the wolf only managed to let loose a painful howl. ¡°Haha¡± Seeing the wolf convulsed and fell limp on the ground. Kenji laughed, his appearance was like a soldier which survived from a war, his whole body covered in blood. Seeing the marble from the wolf , He grab it and the marble started to melt. ¡°Status¡± <> Job: None Gender: Male Race: ??
