《Shura's Path: The Record Of The First Asura》


 Prologue

    Billion years ago, on a distant land on the edge of the gods and demons realm, existed a lifeform created after several mutation from the source of the world itself : humans.


    On this land known as "Litonia", the human evolution was quit outstanding. The humans were creatures that were capable of adapting and living in peace in this hostile environment, however, seeing the different races that were created before them fighting between themselves for territory (elves, dragons, dwarfs, beastman and beasts... Ect....) the humans became too greedy.


    It was not long ago that the human kings joined their efforts and  declared war on the entire world, and all the species that co-existed in this land with them , couldn''t help but ally themselves too to stop the humans and the other races expansion.


    The humans were not powerful, they did not possess the strenght and the mighty magic of dragons, or the longitivity and beauty of the elves, or the blacksmithing process of the dwarves, or the agility and ferocity of the beastman races. But they were capable of "learning".


    After some years, the war finally ended, none  was victorious, and the land was devastated. The survivors of the humans and the different races came to make a peace treaty. So as to not repeat history, they divided the land equally between each race, and if one side were to breach this treaty, all the races will ally themselves to annhilate them.


    However, everyone knows the old saying : "a black sheep in the herd" . And because of these individuals, the "guild" was created.


    The guild was an assembly of different races joining together and acting as a group, they did comissioned missions and were stationned on each continent to make the communication easy and melt the ice between the races, in reality, it was just a bunch of adventurers who were seeking fame, fortune, power, or some hidden powers trying to steal the technology of others...


    But the guild itself was powerful enough to not be taken easy. Their principal headquarter was decided to be in the human continent, and none has made an objection about this as they were too lazy to take responsibility...


    And again, after some time. the peace continued and strong individuals rose to the top of this world, The nine powers.


    They  were the strongest entities of this world, each one of them was capable of destroying mountains with their strenght, slaying countless of enemies with their martial arts, performing destructive spells with their magic... Some of these powers led their race, while others were living in seclusion training and striving for more power, or just to live in peace.

    These was the end of the "golden age" on this land, because the begining of the "dark age" was soon coming.


    The gods and the demons awoke from their long slumbler, and became curious about these creatures that dared to "steal and partake" this world.


    But because the gods were usually living in the "Heaven realm" and the demons in the "Hell realm", they couldn''t reach "litonia" easly, they had to breach the "void space" that separate the 3 realms.


    Fearing that the other side may take advantage of the situation and attack the homeland of the other, the gods and demons decided to send from time to time a group to conquer "litonia", some of the gods and demons took over lands and mountains, and the races were incapable of resisting their immense powers so they just had to surrender themselves to their fate. Naturally this was a world where "the strong prey the weak", gods and demons were happy because of that.


    Ocasionally, they was a fight between a god/demon and one of the 9 powers, it ended either with a draw or a loss for these entities. So the gods and demons didn''t take this threat seriously.


    War began between the Gods and Demons, casualties were not only on both sides, but even the humans and the races that existed in these land were not able to hide from this bloody war.


    Centuries later, none of the gods or demons that were sent to the expedition returned from litonia.


    The gods and demons found this weird, afterall why would their brothers never return if these creatures were weak and feebles?


    Until one day, a high class general demon second only the the "Demon Lord" himself  was sent to scout "litonia" , returned crawling back from the teleportation array, suffering serveral deep injuries and breathing hardly ,


    He then said to the guards stationned there with a trembling voice and moist eyes.


    << I have seen..... DEATH!!.... tell Demon-lord sama to not send our brothers to Litonia!!! There is a... MONSTER  that lives in the "void space"... IT CAN''T BE BEATEN!!! >>


    <<Oye! General! are you alright sir??!!>> the guards said hurriedly.


    << His... his naaame.... is.... Asura!>>


    And with these last sentence, his life ended.


    It was the begining of the legendary story of the entity who  was later feared by " The Gods and Demons" : Asura.


    Rumors spread and many suppositions came by the gods and demons, saying that Asura was a "renegade" from one of their realms, or some bastard child mixed between the two.


    But, who would have known that Asura was in fact a human...

 Chapter 1: Begining of the begining

    Most of the stories begin with the main character often shown  to have godly powers, a powerful and mystical background.


    However , not in this story.


    Asura was born as the first son of a commoner''s family. His family was composed of : his father Glen, his mother Lenaya, and his little sister Aura.


    Aura was in fact not his real sister, she was an orphan that one day while his father was coming back from the city and had walked through the woods, found her there and decided to pick her.


    His family was not poor, but it was not rich either, they had enough just for living and leading a normal life.


    However, the father placed great hopes on his son. In his heart, he didn''t want him to become a farmer like him. Most parents wants their children to become great.


    Until his 7 years, Asura had not shown any signs of having magic, so his father was disapointed that he had no birth talent in magic.


    "Damn. If only he had talent in the magic field, i would have sent him to his uncle in the capital so that he could learn magic and become a great asset of this country in the futur!"


    It was known at this age that magicians were appraised by every country and had a status compared to a noble.


    "Dear, it''s alright if he doesn''t become a magician. It was probably not destined for him to become a magus, let him just choose the life he wants to lead. Afterall there is still Aura, although she is only 4 years old, the village''s oracle had said once that he has never witnessed such a talented child."


    Asura was listening to the conversation between his parents, carefully. Even though he was young but he understood what his parents meant by their words.


    His father was strict, his mother was doting, but they both loved him dearly, and to him, his family was more important than anything in this world.


    After the conversation ended, Asura went to his room, his sister Aura was there. He wanted to cry but he coudln''t manage to do so infront of her, as a result, he held back his tears and went to sleep.


    In the next morning, Asura woke up early, and started running towards the woods.


    "so what if i don''t have talent in magic? hmpf... i will become a knight instead! "


    Asura had heard stories from his father about knights and about their achievements. It was said that  knights, although they weren''t as powerful as Magicians, some knights were capable of amazing things, they could even fight against a master magus.


    The proof was the fifth ranked of the nine powers, The Sword God!


    This knight rose to legend 30 years before, when he alone, managed to fight to a standstill the dragon king .


    His skills with swords were absolutely astonishing, and the many people who witnessed the fight talked more and more about him. Until the guild decided to put his name as one of the nine ranked powers of this world.


    Asura grew fond of this legend, he wanted to meet with the man his whole life.


    So now, he decided to train himself to follow the path of a knight.


    It was the first time in his life that he decided to do something, and for that he will never resign himself.


    Time flew by and three years passed quickly, Asura was now ten years old, and his sister Aura was seven.


    Asura grew taller and had  a great build, his sister grew more beautiful, as a little angel.


    In this 3 years, Asura never skipped one day of his training.


    Each day he would run through the forest toward the mountains, and come back in the evening with chopped woods . Overtime, his efforts finally paid off, but what he didn''t know was that this type of progress was unimaginable for someone else.


    If it was not for his continuous tenacity and his great will, he would never have achieved this type of result.


    Asura was more powerful now than a grown up man, his strengh and endurance increased way too much.


    But a problem arose in his training, altought he was physically strong, he didn''t have a master. So he never learned a sword technique.

    The profound woods was a place where numerous 1 star beast resided, it was not a dangerous place but normally children wouldn''t be allowed to enter the domain.


    Only a group of grown up would occasionally go there to hunt some beasts and bring back their corpses and meat to the village.


    Asura made his preparation, he took the sword that his father was safekeeping , and departed early in the morning.


    His objectif was simple, gain experience  while fighting beasts, and even if he didn''t manage to kill one, at the very least he was confident in his running speed.


    The only thought on his mind right now is to gain insights, and increase his life and death experience.
