《Sky World》 Prologue: Sky World Sky world online, the first VRMMO ever released. The creator, RAID Corporation announced the game after years of development. 10 years ago the maker of the game Dr. Lance Hardwood first introduced VR to the military in the premise of giving soldiers battle experience and real life scenario, after getting the right funding the military VR program was a success in making more experienced soldiers and lowering the death rate. Due to the success of the program RAID Corporation hired Dr. Hardwood to apply the VR technology for medical purposes such as rehabilitation and brain mapping, and now Dr. Hardwood has created a world where he says ¡°A world where the chains of mundane life can be broken¡±. The game offers 90% realism but pain setting will be just a jolt on area of damage and loss of limbs creates the feeling of numbness on the area of lost limb The game is set in the world of Thera which is reported to be the same size as the planet mars and is comprised of 40% land 60% water. The planet consist of 5 large continents in which 3 are unexplored. The game offers 20 playable races in which 15 can be unlocked by the efforts of the users while 5 are available at the launch of the game. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. The players cannot choose gender as it would affect brain chemistry and the appearance of the character will be based on the user which can be edit to an extent. The game offers the players 2 choices during character creation the first is the default character creation that lets the player choose race appearance and beginning stats of their character, the other option is the system generated where the system chooses everything aside from name this choice however can let the players play as one of the 15 unlockable races by luck (some of the races may be unsuited for combat). Chapter 1 In a forest somewhere in South America a black haired boy is running around being chased by pack of angry baboons. The black haired boy was quite handsome even when sweating like a pig. The boy was wearing all black with black gloves, jogging pants, a shirt, and 2 swords hanging on the left side of his waist. The boy is Leon Sanders 2 years ago Leon lost his parents due to a landslide on the road during their travel. After their deaths Leon and his twin siblings Andy and Amy where taken in by their rich grandfather who they barely know. It turns out that there grandfather was a former mercenary and was one of the most lethal men in the world and he specializes in close quarters combat. Their grandfather James Cross became rich after investing his money from missions into stocks and right now the siblings don¡¯t even know how rich their grandfather is. They knew their grandfather was a little eccentric, but they never thought that he lived in the middle of a forest and what the old man has planned to teach them. During this 2 years Leon and his twin siblings was homeschooled by the old man and surprisingly enough the old man was doing quite a good job. But they had rigorous training after school which comprised of martial arts, survival training, strength training, and anything that the old man can randomly think of as training. ¡°God damn it! I don¡¯t have time for this why won¡¯t these fucking monkeys stop chasing me¡± The boy shouted while running for his life. ¡°I just stole one stupid fruit from their nest!!¡± The boy complained after a few minutes of running the boy found a pack of wolves and a cave the boy immediately had an idea to lose his pursuers. Then the boy looked for the biggest rock he can use as a springboard and stepped on the rock jumped in to the into the cave avoiding the detection of the wolves, as the baboons closed in the wolves detected the pack of baboons and readied themselves for battle. When the baboons arrived a bloody battle started between the baboons and the wolves. While the bloody battle was going on the instigator of the battle was sitting in the cave panting and sweating due to the life threatening event that happened a few minutes ago. After waiting for 30 minutes the boy checked outside and found the bloody battlefield filled with bodies and innards of both wolves and baboons. Seeing this scene the boy sighed in relief, then the boy took out a phone from his pants and called someone. ¡°Old man I got the fucking fruit I passed your stupid test¡± A moment later a person appeared in front of the cave, looking at the person it was a good looking gray haired bearded old man that appeared to be around 60-70 years old. The old man was wearing a black shirt camouflage pants and combat boots, the most surprising thing about the old man wasn¡¯t his clothes but the fact that he had bulging muscles that should belong to a body builder in his prime. Then Mr. Green went out of the car and opened the gate, then he went back and drove the car inside the gate. The thing inside the big ass gate was a bigger ass mansion that was 2 floors tall. The thing was like those big ass mansions that rich white guys on tv own. Seing my shocked expression Mr. Green told me ¡°Your grandfather instructed me that he wanted a house with a lot of space and don¡¯t worry half the mansion is a training ground. Your Grandfather said that he didn¡¯t want your skills to get rusty.¡± Closing my gaping mouth I asked Mr. Green ¡°Does this house come with a housekeeper cuz I don¡¯t plan on cleaning this whole place by myself.¡± ¡°The housekeeper will be brought in tomorrow so you have the house all to yourself today, oh I almost forgot here is a savings account with 1m in it and here is a phone my number is already in your contacts please call me if you have any more questions¡± ¡°I don¡¯t want too many people maybe just 5 will do¡± You could be reading stolen content. After releasing my stress I slept the whole day. I got woken up by a loud buzz that seemed to be a door bell. I got up and opened the door what I saw was 5 people 3 male 2 females of the 3 males 2 looked like Mexicans and they both looked to be about their late 30¡¯s or early 40¡¯s. the other guy was Caucasian and was fairly young about mid 20¡¯s. the 2 girls looked around the same age as the other guy, of the girls 1 looked mexican while the other girl was African-American both of them were quite pretty. While analyzing the 5 people it seemed like they were staring at me with weird gazes then I looked down at myself and saw my little friend standing proudly in front of them. Realizing my current condition I closed the door ran in to my room and dressed myself, then I went back to open the door for the 5 people and introduced myself and asked them what will be their duties in the mansion. The first 1 to introduce themselves were the 2 mexican looking men their names was Jose and Ernesto they are in charge of security of the house and keeping the grounds clean. The last guy was Mike he was my personal driver and security (not that I need it) since I can¡¯t drive yet. The 2 girls are Dora and Latisha, Dora was in charge of cleaning the mansion and doing laundry while Latisha was our cook. After introducing themselves they quickly started their duties. Since I¡¯m hungry I asked Latisha to whip something up. After eating I asked Mike to take me on a tour of LA, the tour lasted 3 days and after that I just lazed around the house for 2 days. After lazing around I got so bored and shouted. ¡°Sooooooo Boooorrriiiiinggggg damn it why is there nothing to do!¡± After trying to find anything to do I gave up and asked Mike what was popular these days and he said. ¡°Boss there¡¯s this new fancy VR game it¡¯s really popular this days though its expensive a lot of the rich kids are playing it¡± ¡°Oh! VR sounds interesting, all that training might actually be useful¡± After that I ordered the game they said it will be delivered after 1 day. A day later the game finally arrived it looked like a space pod it seems that you need to lie down inside the pod and sleep then it pulls you in the game. After the set up was finished I quickly got in and tried it. Chapter 3 When a VR pod is used the machine scans the users brainwaves and registers it to the main server so that users can use other pods. Then the pod checks the users vitals the pod checks if the user is physically fit and will not allow users to play if there are health issues. When Leon went in the pod everything went white after a few seconds the main theme song of the sky world was playing and a brief explanation of the world of thera. After the explanation the screen went white again then after a few seconds Leon saw a little floating human silhouette coming closer. Upon close inspection the silhouette is a beautiful woman with blond hair and green eyes she was wearing tightfitting sundress that showed the woman¡¯s assets, the most striking thing about the woman is that she was small and she had little dragon fly like wings on her back she looked like a fairy. The fairy suddenly started to speak saying ¡°Welcome new user to sky world I will be your guide in your character creation process please choose whether you would use the default creator or use the system generated keep in mind that when using the system generated the user will not be able to choose anything aside from the name of the character¡± ¡®hmmm this stuff is pretty advanced the site said that the system will try to find the appropriate match based on the users brainwaves, I read up on this game last night they said that 50% of the time you¡¯d get a normal race 35% you¡¯d get a crappy pure production type race 15% are the uncommon races and 5% of the users get the rare races that could only be unlocked late in the game¡¯ ¡°It¡¯s a gamble but I choose the system generated I¡¯m playing for fun anyway¡± ¡°Alright please wait for 10 minutes for your character to be generated, while waiting I suggest you get a feel for the movement in virtual reality¡± ¡°Alright¡± After he said that Leon started exercising running around trying to get a feel for how to move in the game. ¡®It¡¯s just like in real life though my body feels weaker¡¯ What Leon didn¡¯t know was that most users would have the opposite conclusion, since the virtual bodies abilities were based on the average physical ability of the soldiers that participated in VR program 10 years ago. *DING* The little fairy suddenly appeared in front of Leon and said ¡°System generated character creation complete please check your character and give it a name¡± After the fairy said that a person suddenly appeared in front of Leon The person was a guy that was a bit taller than Leon looking at the guys blood red eyes you can see that the guy was lifeless like a dead person standing. The guy had dark red hair and tanned skin the appearance of the guy was handsome and upon close inspection the guy seemed to look a lot like Leon. After a few seconds of being shocked Leon finally understood that the guy in front of him was his system generated character. ¡°To check the characters status the user must say ¡°status¡± and information about the character will appear in a blue screen¡± After hearing that Leon immediately said ¡°Status¡± A blue box suddenly appeared in front of Leon

After the name was submitted the fairy immediately spoke. ¡°Redd which continent would you like your adventure to start in¡± The a blue display box appeared in front of Leon Gaia Continent Home of the Free Nations a group of nations under a single banner during times of war. Gaia Continents majority race are human totaling 35% of the total population followed by the beastmen totaling 20% of the population the 3rd highest population are the peace loving hobbits that total 15% both the high elves and dwarves total 10% of the population each and the last 10% are for the other races. The continent is filled by vast planes and lush forests with some mountainous areas which are mostly inhabited by the dwarves. Out of the 5 continents it is said that this continent is the best place to live in due to the great weather and abundance in food. Novus Continent Home of the Stonebreaker Empire an empire run by the dwarven royal family the Stonebreaker¡¯s. The current emperor is Angus V Stonebreaker, the Stonebreaker Empire cover roughly 60% of the whole continent oddly enough though the dwarves are the ruling race the most population are still human which encompass 30% of the entire population while dwarves are only 25% of the entire population. The elves and the beastmen both encompase roughly 15% of the continents population while the other 15% are other races there are no known hobbit settlements in Novus since the continents ecology is unhospitable for their race. Novus is rich with precious gems and metals, which the empire use as the cornerstone for their wealth. The terrain of Novus is filled with mountains and hills making it hard to explore the main sours of water in the continent is the great river of nile which run across the continent. ¡°I choose novus¡± ¡°ok, which city would you like to start in¡± Shire The city of shire is located above a small hill near the river of nile, due to this location the city has more food supplies than other cities. Just put them above the shelf¡± After Redd put the box above the shelf the old woman asked him ¡°So, young man what can I do for you today?¡± ¡°the village chief told me to buy health potions from you¡± ¡°oh so your one of the travelers huh. So did the old dwarf give you a hard time? Dwarves and elves don¡¯t usually get along. Good now get out of here knife ear I don¡¯t like your kind hanging around my shop Not caring about what the smithy said Redd went straight to the chief¡¯s house thinking ¡®this is kind of boring its like im just running around buying stuff if I don¡¯t get to fight in the next few minutes I might quit this game¡¯ When he reached the chiefs house the chief said ¡°ya finish buyin brat? After watching Redd learned that the dogs don¡¯t attack with a pattern unlike most games it seems like the dogs are real animals fighting to survive, he also noted that the players are beginners and have no combat experience they leave a lot of openings and are not cohesive as a unit. Learning what he wanted to know Redd stood up and looked for a wild dog. Critical x2 damage ¡®oh so targeting the vitals also gives a higher chance at making critical hits¡¯ After getting hit by a critical the dog hesitated to attack again and cautiously seized up Redd waiting for him to attack. Seeing that the dog won¡¯t attack Redd immediately went in for the kill. Looking at my stats it seems that 5 stats automatically when I level up. After thinking about it for a bit I put 2 dex, 2 agi, and 1 str since it seems my str gets 2 points per lvl and I don¡¯t need to put anything on vit since the dogs can¡¯t hit me. After killing 25 dogs I finally got 10 dog teeth but I still need 12 dog leather and I haven¡¯t started collecting the herbs for Martha. Chapter 6 After I killed the 40th dog I finally had enough leather and I even leveled up. I started to look for the medicine ingredients. Martha said that there should be some near the forest and that I should be careful because there are stronger monsters in the forest. When I reached the forest I spot one of the ingredients a yellow leaf and proceeded to pick it up. Walking in the forest for a few minutes I¡¯ve already collected half of the needed ingredients, but since there doesn¡¯t seem to be more in the outer part I went deeper in the forest. While walking for a few minutes I spot a human like shadow, moving closer I find an ugly green child. This child had a head twice as big as normal children with tiny fangs protruding on its lower jaw, it was wearing a rag around its groin and was carrying a large knife. Seeing the status I decide to sneack up on it. Getting behind the goblin I held both my weapons in a reverse grip then stabbed the goblins back. Critical Backstab x5 damage delt Bleeding Due to the bleeding opponent will lose 10HP/sec for 10 seconds I then looked at the goblins hp which was 312/500 it seems that my first attack dealt a number on him. After getting hit the goblin steadied itself getting ready for battle. Seeing that I attacked the goblin then raised it knife and tried to chop me, but I saw it coming and evaded the attack. The goblin kept attacking but it was full of openings and I immediately stabbed my sword at its armpits then slashed its legs with my knife thinking I could maim it but I had no such luck. After a minute of dodging, slashing, and stabbing the goblin finally went down and dropped a couple of copper coins picking them up I resumed my journey of finding the ingredients for Martha. After my first encounter with a goblin, I met 20 more lesser goblins and killed them and leveling up in the process. After walking and killing for an hour I finally found all the ingredients and then I headed back to the village to complete my quest. Going back I first visited the grumpy old man and gave him the fangs. ¡°Here old man I got your dog teeth¡± ¡°What took ya so long brat? When I finished the quest and got my reward I asked him for a new quest and he gave me one. Finishing our conversation I said my goodbye to the hunter and headed to the blacksmith to repair my weapons and get a quest if possible. Going in the smithy I see the smith in the counter thinking about something. ¡°Heloooo¡± ¡°WHA!? what the oh its you what do you want knife ear¡± ¡°I want my weapons to be repaired¡± ¡°Alright give em to me I¡¯ll be done in a minute¡± I then gave the blacksmith my sword and knife. After a minute he gave them to me and I paid a 50 copper fee, then I asked the smithy. ¡°Do you need any help in something?¡± ¡°I need someone to go in the mines for me¡± ¡°I¡¯m going in the mines. While looking at its stat the wolf noticed me and started to growl while running to my direction. When it got close enough it lunged at me but I dodge and pull out my weapons from there sheaths. We fought for 3 minutes and it finally died I received no damage. I noticed that the wolves are twice as fast as the dogs. After 20 minutes I¡¯ve killed around 10 wolves and leveled up. Chapter 7 On the way to the mine after killing the 10th wolf Redd felt multiple presence eyeing him when he turned to look he was met with a pack of wolves looking at their levels the wolves ranged from level 4-6, but there was one wolf that was different it was black and had a long scar across its face what made the black wolf special was its size it was twice the size of the regular wolf. Redd then proceeded to look at the black wolves status.

Redd POV ¡®Well shit. I can take maybe 3 or four of them but I can¡¯t take on more than 20 wolves and they even have a leader, well there is only one logical thing to do¡¯ *SIGH* After sighing I ran as fast as I can in the opposite direction as where the wolves are staying and without missing a beat the wolves immediately chased me. Looking back I saw the wolves gaining on me it seems they are faster than me good thing the alpha wasn¡¯t in a rush and was just cruising at the back of the pack. One wolf got close enough and jumped at me I immediately used my dagger to parry the attack and I used my sword to slash the wolfs leg as a counter attack. After slashing the wolf I ran again and this trend of me parrying and slashing the wolves that got close to me began. After around 10 minutes passed I noticed that my stamina bar was almost reaching zero then a warning appeared WARNING!! If players stamina bar reaches zero player will be unable to run or do combat. To replenish stamina player can rest, drink stamina potion, or eat food. After I finished reading I quickly took out a piece of bread from my inventory and ate it. Looking at my stamina bar it got higher but not a lot though my satiety bar improved a lot. ¡®It seems that food can only replenish stamina a little¡¯ Thinking this I had to end this running soon or I would be killed, luckily I saw a crevice at the side of a hill that I can fit in then I immediately went inside. The crevice was large enough that 3 people can pass through without trouble and then it was around 5 meters deep. When the wolves reached the crevice they immediately tried to get all in but only 3-4 wolves can go in at a time so 3 wolves was first to reach me. We started to fight the 3 wolves started to try to scratch and bite me but it was futile the limited space made them easy targets since they can¡¯t use their high agility to dodge my attacks. After 5 minutes I killed all 3 of them and looted their corpse for skin and coins only 2 of them dropped wolf skin. After looting I took a piece of bread from my inventory and ate it to replenish my stamina. Then another group of wolves came in and this time it was 4 of them. I dispatched the 4 wolves faster than the 3 because I wasn¡¯t afraid of their attacks reaching me. After killing 15 wolves they stopped coming in and I used that time to rest and replenish my stamina, then after 2 minutes passed a wolf came inside the crevice it was the alpha it seems that it understood my strategy and decided to kill me himself. Since it¡¯s alone even if it¡¯s twice the size of the ordinary wolves the narrow space wasn¡¯t going to affect it that much which means we are in equal footing. The alpha started growling at me sizing me up then it launched itself to tackle me I immediately jumped to the right to dodge. I tried to counter attack with my sword but the alpha was too fast and was already on guard when I tried to slash it jumped back to dodge. ¡®Shit this thing is fast it ain¡¯t a field boss for nothing¡¯ Thinking that I initiated an attack first I did a feint with my dagger which caught the alpha¡¯s attention then I slashed it with my sword which caught it of guard then stabbed it again using my sword. The alpha growled in anger and tried to retaliate with a swipe using its right paw but I was too fast and flipped back to dodge the attack. Angry that its attack did not hit it rushed forward opening it mouth in an attempt to bite me. I used my sword to block its mouth and used my dagger to stab one of its eyes, but it dodged and swiped me with its claws I wasn¡¯t fast enough to react and got hit. The attack was so strong that I got thrown in the air but I steadied myself in midair and landed on my feet to avoid more damage. I looked at my hp and it was lower my a quarter. Report any sightings. ¡®God damn this means if I get consecutively hit 4 times then I¡¯m done for¡¯ Seeing the damage I readied my stance and prepared for another attack. The alpha lunged at me thinking of doing more damage, but I had other plans and parried its attack using my dagger then I kicked the alpha¡¯s head which surprised it. I then used my sword and dagger to land consecutive hits on the alpha¡¯s side and legs hoping to get a maim or bleed, but it didn¡¯t happen. After the last hit I retreated back so the wolf can¡¯t perform another counter attack. The alpha was angry and started growling at me it then launched itself for another attack and the same thing happened I parried and hit it consecutively. This happened 2 more times and after the fourth time the alpha was growling louder at the same time its body seemed to get bigger. WARNING!! Alpha wolf has activated rage its stat will increase by 50% and will start attacking without care for defense Reading the message I immediately took a potion from my inventory and drank it to heal my hp to full. After the alpha stopped growing it looked at me and dashed at me. It was too fast I barely had time to use my sword to block its mouth from ripping my head off. The alpha was pinning me on the ground using his right paw on my left shoulder and my shoulder was bleeding. WARNING!! You are bleeding you lose 5 hp per/sec for 5 minutes ¡®Well shit is this how it ends?¡¯ While thinking I realized that the wolf didn¡¯t finish me off with its left paw but was keen on trying rip my head off with its mouth. Seeing that I still had a chance I gripped my dagger and stabbed the alpha¡¯s right eye. It got off me and howled in pain I didn¡¯t have time to pull out my dagger so it was lodged in the alpha¡¯s skull. The alpha tried to take out the lodged dagger but ended up hurting itself so it ignored it and stared at me full of hate. The alpha had only 800 hp remaining since the strike to its eye was a fatal critical hit it dealt 10 times damage. Since the alpha lost its right eye the outcome was inevitable I kept attacking its right side which was now a blind spot, but since I wasn¡¯t careful I got hit twice. When the alpha¡¯s hp was just 200 it tried to escape but I blocked it and forced it further in the crevice. Having no chance of survival the alpha decided to take me to hell with it and started attacking with reckless abandon. In the end I killed the alpha and I even leveled up. The alpha dropped a few items a dagger, wolf skin, 2 health potions, 1 potion stamina potion, and 1 silver coin. The dagger had a level cap of 7 but luckily after killing the wolf I just reached level 7. I equipped my dagger on my right hand and transferred my sword on the left it didn¡¯t bother me since I was ambidextrous. After equipping the dagger I looked at my stats.

¡®It seems my damage took a leap I think I should just use my long sword for parrying because of the damage differential¡¯ After resting for 5 minutes I went to look outside and saw the remaining wolves there were 15 of them then I used my old tactics of pulling them into the crevice then killing them. It took me around 25 minutes to kill them all and after killing them I finally finished the quest for wolf skin. Then I headed straight to the mine to finish my other quests. Chapter 8 When I reached the cave there was a small blood stain around the entrance of the cave. Seeing that I was on guard and pulled out my weapons and readied myself for any surprise attack. I carefully went in the mine and it seems that there are people or at least something living inside the mine since the torches lighting the inside of the mine are newly lit. After what seemed to be an eternity of boredom (around 10 minutes), walking and watching the same thing over and over I finally found something to kill. It was a lesser goblin one that was like the ones I killed in the forest. I sneak up behind it then stabbed its throat with my new dagger and stabbed its back using a sword, the result an instant kill. This was the fastest I¡¯ve ever killed something in the game, because at most I can kill my opponent around a minute or so but this kill didn¡¯t even take 5 seconds. After I picked up the money dropped by the goblin I then walk further inside the cave. After a minute of walking I hear the sound of multiple enemies. Hearing the sounds I immediately hid myself between 2 boulders. Just as I hid myself the enemies came looking at the enemies I can see that they are like the lesser goblins only they are 2 heads taller than them. I looked at their status.

The goblins are weaker than the wolves, but in this situation I can¡¯t just rush in because they can easily surround me. So I waited for one goblin to come near then after a minute one goblin came near the boulders then I grabbed it and then slit its throat then continually stabbed it with my knife till its hp went zero. I then continued the sneak attacks until the 4th goblin because the other goblins noticed that their comrades never returned when they came close to the area where I was hiding. The goblins immediately came to the area where I was hiding then they sent one of their comrades to check what was happening I then killed the goblin and went out of the hiding place since there was no point in hiding anymore When the goblins saw me come out from behind the boulders they screamed and ran up to attack me. I did the same and charged at the remaining goblins. When I got close to a goblin I stabbed its left eye with my sword then slashed its neck with my dagger and stabbed its stomach, all hits were criticals so the first goblin died. The fighting continued for 20 minutes, after I killed the last goblin I was exhausted mentally the goblins did a number on me and I had to use 2 health potions luckily the goblins also dropped 4 potions so it wasn¡¯t a loss. After resting for 10 minutes I continued my journey inside the cave. After 10 minutes of walking I saw a big room that had a lot of goblins and lesser goblins inside. Looking further in I see a cage filled with people and there were human like figures guarding it. When I got closer I saw that the ones guarding it were goblins but they were a head taller than the goblins inside the room, they were also wearing armor and were equipped with short spears. Inside the cage were humans wearing leather armor and cloth armor, there were also robust men wearing mining clothes. Thinking that these people are the miners and the ones sent by the chief to investigate I formulated a plan to draw out the goblins in the large room since I can¡¯t singlehandedly fight an army of goblins. After 10 minutes of strategizing and planning, which I was never good at since I¡¯m more of an improvise kind of guy. My plan was to use the 2 boulders from where I hid to block and make the pass smaller then taunt the goblins too attack me like what the Spartans in the movie 300 did. It took me 20 minutes to move the damn boulders then I blocked the entrance so that only 3 at most can get out of the room at once. Surprisingly the goblins didn¡¯t hear me pushing a giant boulder twice. After setting up the pass I went in the room and taunted the hundreds of goblins residing inside. When the goblins heard me they went to a frenzy and most of them immediately run up to where I was. I immediately go out the pass then I see the goblins clamoring to get out of the pass but unfortunately for them only 3 at a time can pass through. As the first 3 goblins came at me I immediately killed them so that the next batch of goblins won¡¯t catch up to the batch I¡¯m currently fighting. This story has been taken without authorization. Fighting the goblins was extremely exhausting after the 30th goblin I was really mentally tired and my stamina was really low, good thing some goblins drop stamina potions if not I could have stopped moving a few minutes ago. It took me almost 2 hours to kill every goblin that came through the pass. Luckily the goblins guarding the cage didn¡¯t come out or else I would be screwed. I rested for 30 minutes eating food and replenishing my status bars. After resting I went in the room and saw the 2 goblins and 1 goblin wearing a robe and is carrying what seems to be a wand. I looked at their status.

¡®Well shit a magic type it seems I¡¯m screwed¡¯ Thinking that I pulled out my weapons and readied myself for battle. The first one to move was the goblin mage it started chanting gibberish then suddenly a ball of flame appeared in its hand then it immediately threw the fire ball at me, without thinking I dodged the fire ball and tried to run up to the mage but was blocked by the 2 goblin guards. They thrust their spears at me trying to impale me. I quickly ducked and rolled to the side before I can get myself settled the goblin mage threw another fireball at me and almost hit luckily I dodged just in time. Seeing that I can¡¯t seem to come close to them I retreated out of the goblin mage¡¯s spell range. When they saw me retreat the 1 guard went to block my path of escape. When the mage saw that I was trapped it laughed at me and threw another fireball but I was out of its range. Figuring that they can enclose me the 2 guards went closer. Seeing their action I immediately run up to the guard protecting the mage. I then feint an attack that made the guard defend itself then I dash rolled forward leaving the guard behind. When I stood up I saw a fireball coming at me I tried to dodge but it was too late and the fireball hit me right on my shoulder. I was thrown back a meter but managed to steady myself upon landing I looked at my hp bar and damn the attack took out almost a third of my hp. It seems that mages really are the bane of the existence of my race. Having no time to relax I run to the mage and it tried to hit me with another fireball but I was ready I rolled to dodge the incoming ball of fire and luckily the fireball hit the guard that was trying to catch up to me. When I was close enough I threw my sword at the mage to interrupt another fireball. The sword hit its left shoulder and interrupted its chant, when the mage got hit it screamed in pain and tried to take out the sword lodged on its shoulder. Not giving it time to recover I got close and stabbed it in eye blood gushed from the stabbed eye and then I pulled out my sword that was stuck on its shoulder then proceeded to kill it. I first slit its throat to stop its high pitched scream then I stabbed its remaining eye, seeing that it had only a few points of hp left I decapitated the poor little shit since I heard that it would give bonus xp if you decapitated an enemy though it decapitation is only chance but I still tried it. After the mage got killed the 2 guards ran up to me and tried to impale me. I dodged and jumped back the bastards didn¡¯t even let me get the loot from the mage, but since the mage was the only real threat to me I killed the 2 guards quickly. The guards were easier to kill than the alpha because they were slower and they were humanoid so I knew how to fight them easier. After the guards were dead I took the loot and got some potions and even got the wand the mage had. The keys to cage was dropped by one of the guards and I picked it up. When I got closer to the cage I noticed that the people in armor were actually players since they had their name displayed on top of their head and it wasn¡¯t the same as the npc characters. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Sorry guys for not updating so long exams were brutal. Thanks for the guys that rated this fiction Chapter 9 I went to the door of the cage and opened it. After opening it I was suddenly met by a body tackle, I wasn¡¯t fast enough to dodge it. When I looked at what tackled me I saw a green set of hair and then I heard. ¡°Thank you! Thank you! I thought I was going to have to give up on this character I worked so hard in making¡± As I heard that the head moved then I saw a pair of blue eyes looking at me. Looking at the person on top of me she was beautiful and judging from the weight of her body she seems small in stature. As I was thinking these things the girl on top of me suddenly went red and stood up then bowed saying. ¡°I-I¡¯m sorry!¡± Then a blacked haired girl wearing a large top hat and large rimmed glasses appeared behind the green haired girl saying. ¡°Please forgive her she can sometimes be over excited when doing things¡± ¡°Um yeah sure it¡¯s alright I wasn¡¯t hurt or anything¡± ¡°Then for all of us trapped in the cage I would like to say thank you¡±-Black haired girl ¡°Don¡¯t worry I have a quest regarding the miners anyway¡±-Redd ¡°Is that so?¡±-Black haired girl While I was talking to the black haired girl the others inside the cage came out. The first to come out were the players then the miners came out. Looking at the players there were 6 of them 3 girls 3 guys judging from there equipment 2 of the guys were the vanguard the one with blond hair carried a 2 handed great sword and the one with brown hair was carrying a sword and shield the last guy with black hair was carrying a bow so I assumed he was an archer the green haired girl was probably a rogue or rearguard since she was only carrying a knife while the black haired girl I was talking to was probably the mage and the last girl who had brown hair was probably there healer since she was carrying a staff with a cross. After a few greeting they introduced themselves and their position in the party which I got right the 1st to introduce herself was the black haired girl ¡°Hi I¡¯m Kim, my role in this party is the mage and strategist¡± Looking at Kim she had shoulder length hair and average height her race seems to be human from what I can see. I couldn¡¯t see the shape of her body due to the baggy cloak she was wearing. I could only see half of her face due to the size of her glasses that covered her whole face but as far as I can see she has a small mouth and pink lips. Then the green haired girl. ¡°I-I¡¯m Mio, my role is being a rearguard I plan to get a job as a thief when I get to the city¡± Mio had short green hair and blue eyes she was definitely beautiful she had long ears which signify that she should be an elf, she was small in stature about 5ft she was quite slender build which was showing through her tight fitting leather armor and her boobs were above average and I couldn¡¯t help but stare at them for a while good thing she didn¡¯t catch me stealing a glance at them knockers. Then the blond guy ¡°hmph the names Skylar you better remember it, my role is the vanguard¡± Skylar was tall he was probably more than 6ft tall and he was handsome he had one of those big athletic build from what I see he seems to be human or barbarian judging from his size. He reminds me of those jock douche bag jocks in the teen movies I watched back then. Then the brown haired guy ¡°Thanks a lot for saving us I¡¯m Jake, my role is a vanguard¡± Jake looked very average aside from his happy go lucky attitude and very friendly nature. His race should be dog beast man from the ears on top of his head. Then the black haired guy ¡°Names Kuro, I¡¯m the archer of this party nice to meet you¡± Kuro looked Asian judging from his name probably Japanese he was very handsome or beautiful since his features were quite girly. His race was probably dark elf or something like that from his blue skin and long pointy ears. Kuro was taller than Jake by an inch or 2 he had a very lanky body which makes him look more girly. Lastly was the brown haired girl ¡°My names Meg short for Megatron don¡¯t ask why I named myself that, my role is healer and rearguard I¡¯m planning to be a battle priest or any healer/warrior job¡± Meg was like Jake an average looking person but she had double D¡¯s those things were very impressive that I ogled at them for a bit and even got caught looking at them. Meg looked human but due to her eccentric personality I doubt that. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. After they introduced themselves they told me what happened to them. They said that they were given a mission to find the miners but they got overpowered by the sheer numbers of the goblins and got captured. They said that they were stuck in that cage since last night real time, they logged of last night then went back an hour ago. It seems that if they got killed while in the cage they would lose 2 levels and half their items and money so they didn¡¯t wait for their characters to be sacrificed and for the last hour and a half (the 1.5 times faster than real time) they were formulating an escape plan with no avail luckily for them I arrived since they said in about an hour they would have been killed since there was a timer. After talking for a while with Kim and Mio I noticed Skylar staring at me with a bit of killing intent which surprised me since regular people usually can¡¯t produce killing intent unless due to a dire situation or mortal hate towards someone. I ignore the weak killing intent since I don¡¯t give a fuck about him. After talking to the players I asked the miners what happened to them. They told me that an army of goblins suddenly attacked the mine and captured everyone inside it. I asked them if they knew what the goblins were planning but they didn¡¯t know all they said was there were more of them back then but the goblins kept taking 8 people every 5 hours and they never come back. I then asked the miners if they know where the smith¡¯s son is and they said that the boy was one of the people that the goblins took 3 hours ago. Guessing from the information I have it seems that they are doing an experiment or ritual of some kind that needs 8 people every 5 hours the smith¡¯s son might even be dead. After gathering all the information I need I readied myself to go find the other people more specifically the smith¡¯s son. When I told Kim that I was going further inside she was reluctant to part ways saying that they couldn¡¯t repay the help that I gave them, I replied that they should just escort the miners back to the village but she still refused and after a few minutes of convincing she and the other players reluctantly agreed except for Skylar who wanted to get out the moment they got free. After I was ready I said goodbye to the players and the miners and proceeded to go deeper inside the mines. As I went deeper inside I met a few patrols but I easily killed them since all of them were ordinary goblins. After 20 minutes of walking and occasional killing I met a group that was composed of 10 goblin guards. When the guards saw me they weren¡¯t like the normal goblins that attacked immediately. This group just shouted at me and they then formed a defensive wall limiting my attack path. I charged at them and used my sword to parry any spear thrusts the goblins threw at me. I first tried to attack the one in the middle of their formation to break their formation, but it was impossible there were too many spear strikes to dodge or block I even took 3 spear attacks luckily none of them were critical hits if not I would have been dead due to my lack of defense. After the failure of my first attack the goblins got cocky and initiated the attack. They tried to surround me and riddle me with holes using their spears but this was the moment I was looking for. I attacked the first one to move out of their defensive formation, I pushed the guard away from his comrades and tried to kill it quickly but I couldn¡¯t because they were much harder to kill than regular goblins. Seeing that their plan of surrounding me failed the goblins went back to their defensive formation and tried to draw the fight out. I attacked again but this time I targeted the guard at the side of the formation it was the one that I failed to kill so it had less than half its health remaining after a minute of exchange it finally died which made his comrades angry and charge at me. I was ready for their attack and tried to deal with them one after another but they were really too many so I had to do hit and run tactics. Using the hit and run I killed 2 of them then after that they realized that attacking me individually was stupid so they went back to their formation. When they got back in formation I just used what I did before and attacked the weakest side of their formation. It took me almost an hour and a few health and stamina potions to survive and kill the goblin guards. Chapter 10 After I beat the goblin guard patrol I rested myself for 10 minutes then continued on deeper inside the mine. Going in deeper in the mine I met some other goblin patrols and killed them easily since I got used to their movements I even met some goblin guard patrols but they weren¡¯t as large as the one I faced before. After an hour of walking killing and looting I finally got to what probably is the end of the mine. The end of the mine was a huge cave and when I looked inside I saw what looked like a ritual site, there was blood on the walls and strange symbols carved. In the middle of the cave was a stone table that had strange runes carved on it. While looking around the room I hear a sound of someone approaching then I quickly hide myself behind some rocks. The sound that I heard were goblins coming to the cave through something like secret door. The goblins that came out weren¡¯t ordinary goblins they were goblin guards and goblin mages. They were dragging some people to the center of the room, the people dragged in were probably the miners and one of them might be the smithy¡¯s son. Looking at the people that were being dragged they had strange runes painted around their body even their face. Once the people were at the center of the room one of the goblin mages ordered the guards to do something. The guards cut the bindings of one of the prisoners and dragged him to the stone table and then the guards put him on the table and held him down the dwarf struggled but it was futile there were too many goblins holding him down. After a few minutes of chanting the goblin mage that seemed to lead the ritual put his hand on the head of the dwarf then the dwarf screamed out and started struggling even more to no avail. Then the other mages surrounded the stone table and started chanting then the lead mage pulled out a dagger and started what looked like a prayer then after the prayer it stabbed the dwarf then the dwarf stopped struggling and just laid dead and after a few seconds the dwarfs body started convulsing and became red then exploded into a red mist that went straight to the door that the goblins used to enter. You might ask why I didn¡¯t stop the ritual I say to you if I did I would have died from the fireballs of the mages and besides the old man always taught me to find weak points before attacking. I learned a lot from that ritual. I learned that the mages were most vulnerable when they are chanting before they surround the sacrifice and I even found a route where I can sneak up on them and kill them all before the guards get to me. I also learned that there is something big going on behind that door. So when the lead mage requested another prisoner I immediately went to the chanting mages and snuck up behind them I pulled out my weapons then proceeded to back stab the little fuckers. It took me 3 hits which were all criticals to kill one mage and there was 5 of them so when I killed all of them I obviously caught the attention of the other goblins doing the ritual. The lead mage screamed and then he pointed at me the mage then started chanting and then threw a fireball at me but I dodged it. I immediately ran to the unarmed guards then attacked them and used them as a cover so that the mage won¡¯t fire its fireballs but no such luck the thing simply didn¡¯t care about its allies and kept chucking up fireballs at me, but that made it easier for me to kill the guards I just had to stand where a guard was at then dodge when the mage threw a fireball at me. It took me 10 minutes of dodging to kill all of the guards then when the last guard fell I faced the mage and ran at him. When the mage saw this it started chanting again but this time I couldn¡¯t let it because I was too close to dodge another fireball so I threw my sword at it and as the sword hit the right shoulder of the mage it interrupted its casting and the hit was even a critical I also learned a new skill after throwing the sword. Weapon Throw Beginner lvl 1 Effects: Increases weapon throw damage by 110% increases critical chance x2 As the mage was howling in pain I got close and ended its misery and it even dropped a uncommon wand that I could sell when I¡¯m in the city. After looting I went to the imprisoned dwarfs and freed them then I asked them if the smithy¡¯s son was still alive and he was he looked a lot like his father only with a shorter beard. I then told them that I cleared the way and that it¡¯s safe to go back up the mine and without a second thought they agreed that they should go on ahead. After the dwarves finished resting and went ahead I also went into the secret door. When I asked the dwarves what was inside the secret room they told me that they were blindfolded and couldn¡¯t see anything that the blindfolds were removed after they got out of the room. Going in there was a spiral staircase going down and I slid on it like a child luckily it seems that there was no guard in the secret room. When I got to the bottom of the staircase there was a room up ahead peeking into the room I saw a blindfolded goblin this goblin was as tall as a regular human but its back was bent and it was holding a shaman staff the goblin was also wearing a blindfold and its face was full of runes just like the ones on the table up stairs. I then looked at the status of the goblin inside the room.

Before I finished looking at its stats it suddenly spoke. ¡°I smell you. come where I can see you¡± ¡°hohoho I forgot I have no eyes hohoho¡± Hearing the weird pun from the goblin I went inside the room then it started speaking ¡°You smell like the great ones but it the smell is strange. You are also weak unlike the great ones tell me what are you¡± ¡°I¡¯m a draconian and I don¡¯t know what a great one is¡± ¡°I see I see so you are one of them probably the last of its kind tell me before I kill you why has someone as rare as yourself come to my humble abode¡± Seeing as its going to kill me anyway ¡°I was tasked by the chief to find out what is happening in the mines and stop it!¡± ¡°So you have come for this old ones head, but I know your kind you are weak to this old ones ways¡± ¡°We¡¯ll see about that!¡± ¡°Indeed we shall¡± After the exchange I run to the shaman I was at the advantage in terms of terrain since it can¡¯t go too far out of my attack range. When I got close to it suddenly sprayed me with black powder then a message suddenly appeared it said that I was cursed then when I tried to move my left leg my right leg moved and when I moved my left hand my right moved seeing that I was having a hard time the shaman started laughing then it threw a fireball at me. ¡°hohoho how does my curse taste¡± ¡°Fuck you! You old shit!¡± ¡°Language boy it isn¡¯t good to curse at your elders¡± After saying that he threw another fireball at me which almost kills me. Then it started dancing and laughing and threw another one to kill me but I managed to dodge. After a few seconds of adjusting I could finally control my body a bit, being ambidextrous is really useful in situations like this though I¡¯ve never been in a situation like this. Getting control of my body I quickly took a health potion and drank it. It took 2 potions to fill my hp. seeing that I can slightly control my arms the shaman mocked me. ¡°hohoho you¡¯re quite amazing boy you can actually control your hands now¡± He then went closer and tried to impale me with the knife end of his staff unfortunately for him I had now control of all my limbs. I dodge his stab then stood up and proceeded to attack it with both my weapons it was shocked that I stood up and screamed when I began hitting it. After 10 seconds the shaman shouted and embedded his staff to the ground then I got hit by some kind of force field and got thrown 3 meters away.
