《Blood Emperor》 Prologue: I Died Goodnight. This was what I thought before I closed my eyes for the last time. I remembered all of my life, the pains, the hardships, the torture. I remembered it all. Every second of every day that I lived through. It''s strange, now that I think about it. I wasn''t upset about dying. I wasn''t angry. But rather I was disapointed. I didn''t get to do the things I loved most in my final moments, kill people. Truly, what a shame. My childhood was nothing special. I had the beautiful and smart parents that every kid would want. Perfect. That''s what they said about them. It''s a shame they died. I don''t think it''s a shame. I think it was the best thing they ever did. After all, they always hit me. Mother would hit me. Father would hit me, too. They said I didn''t understand. That I didn''t know how much pressure was put on them. So they hit me. They did whatever they wanted. They burned me. They scratched me. They scarred me. They kicked me. They spit on me. They hurt me. I was so scared. I didn''t want to die. I wanted to see they squirming in pain while begging for forgiveness. See them begging to be saved. And I would ignore them. I would do the same they did to me. I told them things they told me. "You''re so perfect, I wish I was like you." "You do it right every time." "I''m expecting you to do well." I wanted to see their faces turn into a expression of horror when they knew I wasn''t going going to save them. I want them to know how I feel. People do the same thing to me at school as well. They hit me. They bully me. I want to see their faces as well. It would be really funny. Seeing the positions switched. Them being the victim. They will know my pain. I''ll make sure of it. One time, my parents were hurting me even more then usual. I didn''t cry even when it hurt. I sat in the corner and watched. I waited till they turned around. I grabbed the scissors and went stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Mother stopped breathing. I asked Gid to make sure she rots in hell. It was my father''s turn this time. He went upstairs to get his belt. So I ascended the stairs and went to my parents room. I heard him rummaging around in the closet. I quietly went towards the door and then I started stabbing him. He tried to fight, but it was hard because I was behind him. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab.Stab. Stab. Stab. Stab. He finally stopped breathing and collapsed on the ground. I asked God to send him where all the bad people went and asked him to stay there. The funny thing is, I don''t believe in God. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. I went downstairs again and saw my mother in the pool of blood. I thought I should call the police, after all someone just died. So I went over to the phone and pressed the numbers. "Hello, what is your emergency?" The lady at the phone asked in her calm voice. "My parents were just killed. Could you send over the people to get the bodies out of the way? They''re really smelly." I replied in my regular voice. I didn''t realize it was abnormal. I never thought anything like this was abnormal. Even now. "Little boy, it isn''t nice to play tricks on people. Especially concerning other people''s lives." "I''m not kidding you can even send people over to check. Mother is one the floor in the kitchen and father is upstairs in his bedroom." "Sure. Where do you live?" The lady replied, still thinking this was a joke. "XXX XXXXXX Street." "The police will be there shortly." The woman said. She then told the police officers to go check the issue out and make sure the kid doesn''t do this again. A few minutes later I heard a knock at the door. I went and opened it up to find two police officers. One that was strongly built and looked like a body builder. And the other one who was overweight and holding a doughnut. "Kid, where are your parents?" The doughnut officer said. "Like I said before, they are in the kitchen and bedroom." I replied. I knew I already told them that. Guess they aren''t very good listeners. "Could you go and get them for me then. We need to talk to them?" The buff man said with a smile. Guess he was trying not to scare me. "They weigh a lot, though." I doubt I could move my parents all the way over here. "Can''t you just wake them up then? We just need a moment of their time." The buff man said. I suppose he thought they were asleep with it being 10o''clock at night "Nope. They''re dead." "Really kid, I need to see your parents." The buff man said frowning a little. "You can come in and see them then." I replied while turning away from the door and heading into the kitchen. They soon realized I wasn''t lying. Chapter 1: Killing is Fun The officers seemed to go a bit pale when they saw mother. I wonder if they didn''t feel good. "Kid, did you see who did it?" The buff man asked, still pale. "Yes. I did. I also killed father. He''s upstairs though." I said smiling. I was so happy. I felt like a great burden had been lifted from my chest. I wonder how mother and father like hell. "This isn''t a joke. Your parents are dead. They are not going to come back. So I''ll ask you again, who killed your parents?" The buff man asked with a stern voice. "You must be getting old. I killed mother and father. They were hurting me so I took the scissors and went sta, stab, stab, stab, sta, sta, stab. It was really fun." I said gleefully. The police men should probably take the day off. Now the look like they''re going to puke. "This is Agent Samuel Johnson. We need an ambulance and some more officers at XXX XXXXXX Street." The buff man, well Samuel now, said. "Kid, we are going to find the people responsible. You can cry it''s okay." Samuel said. He thought that that I was traumtized and began thinking I killed my own parents. He didn''t think it was possible I knew full well what I was doing and willingly killed my parents. "Don''t worry, sir. If anything I would cry tears of joy. After all, those motherfucking assholes who called themselves my parents are rotting in hell." Oops. I was always told don''t curse, but I''m sure Samuel and doughnut man understand my happiness. "Poor kid. Their deaths must''ve really gotten to him." Samuel muttered under his breath. He and his partner then went upstairs. I was pretty sure they were going to find father. And indeed they did. It turned out that asshole wasn''t dead yet. The police officers tried to save him, but he died before the ambulance got here. It seems he was muttering ''monster'' when Samuel and doughnut found him. The ambulance could be heard coming down the street. As soon as they got here, they went and put mother and father in the truck and drove off towards the hospital. I wondered what the rush was. I mean, they were already dead. Samuel and doughnut finally came downstairs after the ambulance left. "Kid, we''re going to drive you to the station so come with us for a little bit." Doughnut said. "I''m good. I only needed you guys to move mother and father''s bodies out." I replied. It seemed really fun. Killing people that is. The thrill sends the adrenals rushing through my body. I want to do it more and more and more and more. "We can''t leave you here at a crime scene so you''ll have to spcome with us." They figured I probably didn''t want to leave so that was the only reason they could think of. I was forced to go with them and someone talked to me about what happened. I think his name was Dr. Riedel. I told him about killing my parents and the thrill I got from it. I got so hyped up I didn''t realize I had spoken for about four hours about what happened. The officers found the scissors and they were covered in finger prints. They said they had many they could use to find a match. I told them they could check my finger prints. They tried to convince me otherwise, but in the they did. They couldn''t believe they found a match. It was really funny seeing their faces. I even told them I killed them. It seems that I have to go in for some brain scans and genetic testing to figure out if something is wrong with me. In the end it seems they found out I have something called Mentalis Aspiret. It turns it ran slates to ''mental break''. The symptoms include: inability to feel empathy, inability to feel sympathy, reduced sense of pain, seizures, and hallucinations. It seems that the genes for it run in my family, but it only shows symptoms when the person is put in a near death or traumatizing situation. It can only be treated by therapy. It seems I will be going to a mental asylum. Fun. The day I killed my parents I turned 10 years old.
Five years later. I finally got released from the asylum. I managed to convince them I was all better now. That I feel things like pain and guilt. I found out during my time there that I was a very, very good actor. I did become really sad after my parents died. It seems the happiness from killing them disappeared. I have been fighting the urge to kill people, but now I''m free, I want to kill lots and lots. The people from the asylum said that I would be fine going to a regular high school. They had tutors come and teach when I was there so I wouldn''t fall behind. They found I was quite smart and started school in my senior year, rather than the sophomore year. The people in my school were strange. The seemed so normal. They talked with their friends and Ent to class. At least most of them did. It was so unlike the asylum. People were always running around and doing what they wanted, not what they were told. I had some very interesting conversations at the asylum. I discussed methods of murder with some others. I said it would be interesting to cut open the person and remove all of their organs while hearing them scream. Another one said something about starving someone while a buffet of gourmet delicious looking and smelling foods were just beyond their reach. Someone else said that we can slowly carve the flesh of their bones. During my time there I had begun to experience some hallucinations. There was a huge hole in which corpses of all types came crawling out of with pitch black eyes. They were crying and seemed to crawl their way toward me. There was something about them that made me happy. Seeing their faces as they struggled. Or maybe the pleas they made, asking and begging for my help. I never listened. I wasn''t scared of them. I loved seeing them. They were beautiful. It made me wonder how they got like that, until I realized they were simply something my brain was making up. The people in school seemed to be begging to be killed. Their movements, their words, everything about them. I found it hard to learn anything with these people around me. I really wanted to kill them. Just like mother and father. Not one seemed to know about where I was before I came here. They may have thought my parents moved a lot. I wouldn''t know because they never talked to me. I was fine with that though. I enjoyed watching them. Thinking of all the ways I could kill them. Imaging the faces they would make. This all made me happy, but it couldn''t compare to actually killing them. The sound of the knife puncturing their body and the screams made a perfect melody that was wonderful to my ears. I decided I wanted to kill some more. I had to make sure I didn''t get caught though. I was staying at an orphanage, which meant that everybody was always watching everybody. Sometimes I would sneak out. Sometimes I would say I was going to hang out with some friends. But no matter what excuse I came up with, I always killed. Sometimes it would be one person. Sometimes many. I would experiment with different methids of killing. Some worked and killed them in a lovely fashion. Such as burning them alive. Others didn''t work. Like impaling people. It took several days and they were usually found by them. Luckily the one I tried to do that to couldn''t remember who I was. Over the years I experimented more and more and killed more and more. I eventually became known as the "Doctor of Torture". I didn''t go to college after I finished school and simply worked at a library. Lots of time to kill people and lots of infirmation to learn. There were several books in the library I worked at concerning medieval and current methods to kill or torture someone. Very informational. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. Unfortunately, as I got older the hallucinations became more frequent and even scared me now. I haven''t told anybody I was still having them because they would put me back in the asylum. Which means I couldn''t kill anybody else. The hallucinations now felt as if they were touching me. They pale clammy hands were pulling my legs and arms. They kept pulling me closer and closer towards that hole. Trying to drag me into it. One day when I was 21 years old. I was standing on top of a building. No real reason. Just standing there. Then the hallucination happened. The corpses were dragging me towards the empty pit they came out of. They pulled hard, compelling me to walk over to it. As I looked in I saw an abyss. The abyss, too, must have saw me. Because when I walked into it, it seemed like it was saying, "welcome". And on that day, Agiel Bukavac died from jumping off a building.
I felt strange. Like I was very big and a speck of dust all at the same time. The place I was in was empty, except for the pitch black darkness engulfing me. "Hello." Suddenly a bright yellow light appeared in front of me and a being with pure white wings and gold hair and blue eyes stood before me. It was a beautiful woman, but I felt uncomfortable around her. She was radiating goodness and purity. I didn''t like that. "Guess you''re God. Here to punish me because I didn''t believe in you?" "No. I am here to give you a second chance. You were mentally diseased and couldn''t tell right from wrong. So I can give you a second chance were you can help people and build a family. You can become happy. And I''m one of many gods. God is what you use to refer to all of us." The woman said smiling. She made me want to puke. I didn''t want something like a family. I hate children. They''re disgusting and ugly and whiny. And why would I want to help people? I feel better killing them instead. I even tried to help a person once. It made me feel sad and uncomfortable. "Thank you for the offer. But I have no wish for a family or helping people. What I did was what I considered to be right, so that''s all that mattered." I replied. I would rather just not live again if that was watI was going to do. "You refuse my wish for you to be happy! In that case, I won''t say anything to you. Crazy bastard." The woman turned around and disappeared into a speck of light. "That was a very smart decision, boy. She really doesn''t like it when things don''t go her way and tries to push her will on others." This time a man with raven black hair and a strong face appeared. He couldn''t be considered handsome, but he wasn''t that bad either. "I just didn''t like her goody-two-shoes attitude. She made me feel sick." I replied. "In that case would you like me to let you become the villain instead of the hero." The man asked smiling. His eyes were a dark blue that seemed as endless as the ocean and as cold as the depths. "No. I want to choose the way I live. I want to do what ever the hell I want when ever I want to." I said. This guy also seemed rather pushy. "You don''t want to become the evilest man in the world and be surrounded by a bunch apocalypse women to do what ever you desire. You can kill anything you want. And no one can stop you." The man replied, licking his lips. He was sure I would be drawn in. "No, I don''t. I probably have to kill all the heroes and defend my property or something like that." Po replied. That seemed boring. Even if these guys are gods they seem to see everything in black or white. "Tch. Oh well. Since you don''t want my magnificent abilities, no reason to force you." The man than disappeared as quick as he came. A bunch of other gods came and offered me this or that. But I refused them as well. None of them told me their names which struck me as quite strange. A really wished they would leave me alone. I was beginning to have the urge to kill them now. "What a strange child. You refused all of the offers and didn''t even consider one of them." This time it was just a voice. No person or creature came out of nowhere. "Of course. I simply don''t care." I said. "Boy, I won''t offer you anything or tell you do to something but I simply want you to answer a question of mine. One I''m quite curious about." The voice replied. Since there was no harm in answering a question I accepted. It was quite boring here anyways. "Okay." "I''m glad you accepted. So here it is, What do you think of us, the gods?" I took a moment to think. What did I think about the gods? "The gods are really rude and ignorant. They all seem to want me to do something for them or give me something, but don''t consider the fact their words are full of arrogance. They seem to look down on me. They seem ignorant of the fact that I really don''t care about what they want and it doesn''t matter what they offer, they''re are bound to be strings attached. Besides they seem like a pain in the ass." This was honestly my thoughts. "Hahahahahaha. You certainly are brutally honest. Just for that I''m going to let you keep your memories when reincarnating." The voice said. "Do I have to reincarnate?" I questioned. It didn''t seem that fun and the only joy I would get would from taking others lives. I wasn''t even sure if I would keep my "disease" which I liked so much. "Yes, you do. I''ll also let you keep your mental affliction and reincarnate you to a world I think you''ll like." The voice said. "Why? I doubt that answer was the only reason." I was curious about this from the first god I met. Why were they all talking to me. "Because you''re interesting. Very few people have the nerve to refuse the gods. The May be captivated by their appearance or scared for their very soul. But they very rarely refuse the gods. Besides you are much calmer in this situation then most." The voice seemed to say this playfully as though this was all but a game. "So when will I be reincarnated." If it was going to happen anyways, then let it happen. I am very excited I get to keep my disease, though. I think without it, I would feel like a part of me was missing. "A while. I have to make sure you don''t die immediately when getting there. Besides, while you wait we can talk a lot. I can even tell you of some killing methods you haven''t found out yet." The voice said. "By the way, you can call me Vale." "Nice to meet you Vale. I''m Agiel. How long is ''a while''?" I asked. I wasn''t sure what I thought about a god a barely even talked to. "Twenty years. Thirty Years. Hundred Years. Who knows? By the way, your disease won''t change your thinking here. So earlier when you wanted to kill the others. Most people would''ve wanted to do that to." Guess this will be fun then. Chapter 2: A new life "Vale is it almost time for me to leave?" I have been here for what seemed like several years. learned a lot due to Vale and me having conversations all the time because there was no real need to sleep. We discussed many things including the world I would be going to. We also discussed, at length, different methods to kill people. Many of which I had never thought of. It felt strange here without the desire to kill, but I enjoyed my ''disease'' much more than being normal. "Yep. Just wait a little bit then I''ll send you to your mother''s womb." Vale replied. "I''ve been wondering this, but how long have I been here for." I asked. I had a feeling time didn''t pass at the same rate here as in the regular world. "Couple of millennium. It took longer than expected. Although you should be very happy because the world I am sending you to, is the most populated it has ever been." Vale replied. "It only seemed like a few years, at the most. And what do you mean by the most populated it has ever been?" I asked. "The world you are going to is currently populated by 17 trillion people. Of course it is several times larger than Earth, so that is to be expected. And we''re ready. I''ll see you soon, Agiel. Make sure you have loads and loads of fun." "I will. Hope to see you soon." I could feel my body slowly disappearing but I could hear what Vale said just before I disappeared. "You''ll have to become a God to meet me again. But good luck."
As soon as I became aware of were I was, I forgot to asked if I was at the beginning of the pregnancy or at the end. I really didn''t feel like spending nine months or however long inside an enclosed area. As it turns out, I had to spend nine months inside the womb. At least I could review my conversations with Vale. It seems the world I am going to has a large variety of races and the ability to use magic. They had dwarves. They had elves. They even had dragons. Pretty much anything in your imagination they had. But, just like my old world, once you died there was no coming back. There was many different types of magic. It seems every body is born with the ability to absorb the elements around them, but only a small number are able to use the elements absorbed. The ones use can use the elements are called the E.U. This means ''element user.''The main elements are water, wind, fire, earth, light, and dark. There are also many sub elements. It was rare to have more than three elements or have one element. It seems the average would be around two elements per person. You can usually tell what element a person is by the color of their eyes. Red and blue would represent a fire and water aptitude. Wind is usually a green color. Earth is usually a deep rich brown. And light and dark are gold and black. Subelements would be a combination of the colors. People can''t usually tell which elements they are proficient in until they are around a year old. Their eyes usually change color around this time, You can tell if a person can use magic by a small insignia on their body. The insignia grows or changes color based on the absorption or level of the person. The level is usually based on the ability to use elements absorbed and the purity of the absorbed elements. The levels are separated in 10 degrees of ability, 1-10. 10 being the lowest 1 being the highest. Each of these levels had 3 stages. To get to the next level you have to absorb and understand the elements to a certain degree. This gets harder through each stage that is passed. Some animals are able to absorb and use the elements, but these are very rare. This animals also have a ranking system to determine their strength. 1 being the strongest and 10 being the weakest. Usually animals are stronger than people on the same level. Level 4 beast > Level 4 person. Each can have the manifestation of the soul upon reaching level 3. This can range from being a weapon to an animal, usually called the soul beast. The manifestation is unique to you and you alone so no other being has the same thing. If the beast or weapon were to break or die, you would lose a piece of your soul as well. Many people go insane after losing this piece, because it is literally losing a piece of yourself. Vale said that it is much harder to break a weapon then to kill the beast. I have no clue what the average level is on the world right now. The strongest could be a level 10 or a level 2. I really have no clue. I can''t even absorb the elements yet. Only when I''m born can I. Well I''m just going to wallow here in my thoughts until I''m born. And then stay in my tiny body until I can kill someone.
nine months later..... I finally see the light. Unfortunately that light is from the hole I must squeeze my way through to get out of this hell. I now understand why babies kick in their mothers stomach. They''re so desperate to come out and they can''t. I also know why the cry when they do come out. They''re so happy because they finally get to see the light. The beautiful, beautiful light. Even I, who gets sick on pretty sunny, ugly days, felt the need to say thank you for light. This will be the first and last time I praise it though. I finally get to see the people who left me in hell for nine months. I see a woman with pale skin and deep black hair. She has blue and green eyes. She is decent looking, but definitely isn''t the best. Her face has a sad smile, as she says, "A-agiel, t-that should be your n-n-name." Yippee. I get my name from my last world. It would''ve been such a pain to learn and answer to a new name. The woman who appears to be my mother slowly closes her eyes and I man I didn''t see before came and stood by her side. The man was a decent height and had blonde hair witha red eye and a blue eye. "Darling you can''t die on me." The man seemed saddened. I guess my mother was pribably going to die. What a clich¨¦d scenario. "Please t-take him. H-h-his n-name is Agiel. Protect him. P-please." The woman let tears stream from her eyes and was still smiling as she put me in the man who seemed to be my father''s hands. I really didn''t care that she was dying. I only hoped that it wouldn''t be a pain later on. "Of course. I won''t let anything happen to him. Do you need anything?" The man still seemed sad, but I''m sure he didn''t want to let my mother see a sad face before she left. "No, I d-don''t. I love you Kris. Goodbye." The woman then showed a beautiful smile before her eyes dropped down and she stopped moving. This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "Goodbye, Tiffany." Kris''s voice was but a whisper and I saw his eyes well up with tears before he looked at me and said, "It''s okay Agiel, I won''t cry." I wonder if he really thought I cared. Guess I should just ignore him. I then had a wave of sleepiness come over me and I closed my eyes and sank into a deep slumber.
Few hours later.... When I wake up I''m in a deep blue room in a woman''s arms. The woman, around the age of 16, with deep green hair and blue and green eyes. She looks similar to my mother. Same features. She looks sad. ''Agiel. You''re awake. Are you hungry?" She asked. She smiled a bit. She was probably going to feed me if I cried or if I didn''t so I saved myself the pain of crying and remained silent. "Guess that''s a yes." And while she said this her large breasts came over to my face and pushed themselves on me. I''m so going to kill this bitch when I''m older. I swear on my name as Agiel Bukavac. Oh. I guess I''m a Bukavac no longer, but that is beside the point. "Ellie. Don''t force yourself on the child. He is probably still sad about his mothers passing." A clear voice comes ringing into the room from the direction which I presumed to be where the door was. "But what if he''s hungry, Helga?" Ellie asked. Her voice cracked a little. Most likely because she was crying to long. "I have a bottle right here. You are not going to breast feed your brother." The voice now had a certain amount of authority to it that was not going to take no for an answer. "Okay. I just wanted to do some brother and sister bonding." The girl said. She sounded even sadder than before. I certainly was going to bond with her later on. Like bonding her with a knife through her heart. "You can do that later. Now come bring him to me. I need to feed him." Ellie than started to stand up and moved me to a room that had an old woman in it. The woman had steel grey hair and her face was a wrinkly mess. She had a gold eye and a red eye. "So Agiel. You''re going to spend a lot of time with me, so please do not cry a lot." The old lady, Helga, said quietly as she took me from Ellie''s arms. She than raised what seemed to be similar to a bottle from my old world and put it in my mouth. I should drink that if I want to fill my stomach. After a while, a slowly fell asleep. Damn, baby''s bodies are so weak. It''s amazing they can even survive. After I wake up I soon learn my daily care routine. Feed, change the diaper, feed, put to sleep, feed, change diaper. This continued for about a few months and I definetly felt the need to kill every single fucking person who saw my naked ass. My eyes haven''t changed color yet, but I believe it will happen soon. My father didn''t spend a lot of time with me, but he didn''t seem to hate me for ''killing'' his wife. My father, Kris, has to run the town we live in. It seems he''s pretty good at it. I learned my family name was Mortem. Agiel Mortem. It has a nice ring to it. I also learned I have to elder brothers, Timothy and Daniel, and an elder sister, Ellie, whom we already met before. My brother Timothy is an E.U. With aptitude of fire and wind. He is a 4th level E.U. and has already manifested his soul. It wasa small beast that had snake like characteristics except for its brilliant vermillion body. The color is probably explained by Timothy''s hotheadedness. He is very annoying and the urge to kill was apparent from the moment I met him. My brother, Daniel, is unable to use magic but his eyes are red and blue. He is very similar to father in the sense that they would make very good mayors. My brother is skilled in hand to hand combat in case of danger. He is very calm most of the time, but other times he is aggresive. And finally, Ellie. She is an E.U. and the strongest of the family being a level 6. Her aptitudes are water and wind. Just like my mother. The manifestation of her soul is a weapon. It is a round shield with carvings of different things on it. Its name is Tueri Familia. She loves her family very much but gets on my nerves quite often. I never understood how people like little children or babies. They are DISGUSTING. My father is not a E.U., but my mother was. She was a level 2. She was very weak. Ellie is 16 years old. Timothy is 12 years old. And Daniel is 19 years old. They all piss me off. I want to kill them all. I want to see their crying faces and I''m going to laugh when they learn I was harbor ini my thoughts. The hallucinations rarely happen at all anymore. I had one a few months ago, but that was all. It was even worse than the one that killed me the first time. Now the corpses were saying my name, chanting if you will. They no longer cry out for help. They grasp my arms and legs and speak softly. A whisper. That''s all. But they really scare me. They smile and they laugh. And some of them return to the hole. But that hole scares me the most. It speaks to me. Its endless darkness beckons me to come to it. The pit never ends. It watches me. Its eyes bore into my soul and look through everything. Everything I''ve done. Everything I''ve said. It searches quietly. And the worse part is. I know it''s watching all the time. Even when I don''t see it. I feel it by me. I know others don''t know what it is. It''s a massive hole that is not a piece of my brain acting up. It''s real. It exists. The corpses are what my brain makes up. But the hole is real. The abyss. The quote that says something about when you look into the abyss it looks at you as well. It''s true. It stares. It watches. And it doesn''t move. It''s almost like it''s waiting. For what I don''t know, nor do I want to find out. Because if I do. I''ll lose it. The first time I lost it was when it killed me. Right before I died. I heard it laugh. A cold merciless laugh. A laugh that thought it was funny. And it was the first time I saw it move. It didn''t grow larger or smaller. It moved as if it was alive. Breathing and soulful thing. That was the first time I felt real fear. I like causing fear and pain. But I don''t like feeling it. And what it made me feel was something that shook my soul. And when I died for the first time, I was happy I escaped it. Killing did not even flash across my mind. I was happy I escaped it. But then I felt incomplete without killing. So I wanted that feeling back. Even if I had to see that. I would survive. Probably. Chapter 3: The abyss is watching If anybody as any suggestions or questions just post them in the comment section. Here is your chapter.
Just recently I had another seizure and hallucination. Luckily it was at night so no one noticed but if something like that were to happen in the middle of a fight or when many people were around, I would be questioned. The hallucination this time around wasn''t too long. Maybe a few minutes. It wasn''t as bad as usual either. The corpses didn''t seem as motivated into harassing me as they usually do and the abyss was quietly remaining in its spot and not doing anything suspicious. Which in itself was suspicious. My fist birthday is going to becoming up in a month so my eyes will begin to change color soon. You cannot absorb any elemental essence until you are aware of what elements are yours. When your eye color completely changes, that is the time a small insignia will appear somewhere on your body and mark you as an E.U. I hope I am able to use my element. Can you imagine the different ways you can torture a human being with the help of magic? Vale told me many different ways you can cause endless misery and agony through torture. One of the ways was to use water magic and rupture every organ then remove the water through holes in their bodies. Another way was to use wind magic to cut pieces each little bone off of their body. I can wait to try these techniques on people, but being in a not even one year olds body makes it hard to move around. This is one of the reasons I haven''t been doing anything except for some stretches in my bed. Another reason for me not doing anything is Helga who watches me like a hawk except when it''s nighttime. Since I can''t do anything I ponder the infinite number of ways to kill and torture someone. Luckily soon I will be set free. When children turn three they begin on the path they are suited to. If I get the insignia and become an E.U. then I will begin learning mediation techniques that help absorb elements. If I don''t get the insignia I will start learning about politics from Kris, my father. He would want me to help my brother Daniel when he becomes leader of the family and town. Well I must get back to pondering the ways of torture and being lazy in my bed.
The night before my birthday....... I am anxious about tomorrow. My eyes will change color and I will learn if I ca become a E.U. On the child''s first birthday is also the day they see their appearance in the mirror for the first time. Apparently the custom has to do with ''only when they know shall they see.'' This refers to knowing their element and only when they do know will they see what they look like. Kinda strange if you ask me. I also heard my father talking to someone, I''m not sure who, about the other man''s child. It went something like this. "It''s horrible my son is so slow at absorbing elements. The first E.U. we have in years and he reaches the 3 level at 20. 20!!!! The average age is 15." Old man crying about his weakling of a son. "That''s okay Josh. I''m sure he''ll pick up the pace real soon and become an amazing E.U. He may even be able to become a 9th level one." My father talking to the old man. His voice is the I-really-don''t-give-a-shit voice. "I hope he does. After all, we spent all that money for him to go to Fortem Academy." Josh says. "I''m sure that the tutors here were probably just slowing him down. Fortem academy is the top E.U. School in all of the continent of Terra." My father in the same voice as before. "That''s right. I''m sure Tom was just to great for those small time E.U. He must be flourishing in that place were he can show his true talents!" Josh said in his bragging voice. "That''s right. Your son''s first birthday is coming up." "That''s right. I can only hope he is and E.U. After all with Tiffany''s death we lost an E.U. Of the family making us weaker, even if she was weak." Kris said. I only learned of this recently, but my dad is level 7, which is considered exceptional. Even my sister probably won''t get stronger than that. The top level here on Terra is 9. And the person who is there has been hardly ever seen. Once you reach level 8 you can live for many years over the normal life expectancy. "I''m sure that he will be one. After all he has your mighty blood flowing through his veins. Even if he is a bit strange." Josh said. He seems to have forgotten that Daniel couldn''t use magic. "Strange he might be, but he is still my son." Father said. Now that I think about it, many people have commented on how strange or weird I looked. Of course not to my face. They usually just say something to Ellie or Helga. Guess I''ll find out what they are talking about tomorrow. Josh and father kept talking all night, but nothing they said was of any importance after that.
The Following Day......... When I woke up that morning I felt strange. It wasn''t a good or bad type of strange it was just..... uncomfortable. It was as though I was wearing someone else''s skin. I did feel revitalized though. I hoped this meant that I had become an E.U. Just when I was about to check my body for the insignia, but I realized I couldn''t see anything. I didn''t become blind or something. Helga and the other family members put a piece of cloth over my eyes so they or myself couldn''t see my eyes or my insignia until the revealing party. The party is something every family goes through, poor or rich. They take the cloth off the eyes to see the insignia then they do a full body examination for the insignia. Even if you have several or one element if you don''t have the insignia it''s just for show. This explains the lack of E.Us. "Helga!!!!" I decided to yell and get your attention. My legs were still not strong enough to hold my body so I had to be carried or crawl everywhere. I can''t wait till I can finally walk. Helga then comes sprinting in, at least how fast her old lady legs and carry her. I couldn''t see anything so I couldn''t see what her face looked like. "Ellie, Daniel, Timothy, and Kris come here. He''s awake!!!!!" Helga screamed at the top of her lungs. I then heard the clatter of footsteps running towards my room. "Brother can you believe that today''s the day!" Daniel, I presumed from the voice. Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. "I can''t wait to see my cute baby brother''s eyes. I''m sure they will be adorable no matter what color." Ellie, of course. It seems that every time she speaks I meant to kill her. Not even torture, just kill her, for she is sooooooo annoying. "Where''s Timothy and your father?" Questioned Helga. I too, was curious. "They''re getting ready for the party." Daniel said. "Still?" Helga said with a disappointment filled voice. "Yes. They have been trying really hard. They invited many people from town and many nobles are expected to come." Daniel said happily. The town my father ran was called Terripol. It was a decent sized place with many residents and was a popular place because it was on a major river so it got lots of trade. I was happy that many people are there. It men''s I can lengthen my list of targets to kill. "Is that so? I guess I will start preparing Agiel for the revealance ceremony." Helga then came and lifted me up. The revealance ceremony was just some that the nobles went through. It was just some thing were you say a bunch of words and they reveals our eyes to everybody present. I was currently wearing a long white sleeved shirt and pants. I also had gloves and soft sock-like shoes on. The cloth over my face covered most of my face . The reason being was that no one could see the mark if I had one and no one can see my eyes. The revealance robes were put over my current clothes. They were a deep red color with embroidery running throughout the garment. It probably didn''t look very good on a one year old''s body, but that was expected. I would say I am quite tall for my age. While Helga was dressing me she kept on talking about how mother would have loved to be here. Helga said she loved her family and was a kind and compassionate woman who cared for the ones less fortunate than herself. She seems like the kind of person I hate. The goody-two-shoes people who are all about justice and good things. Helga also told me that mother had a hard time gathering elements because her body naturally rejected the elements. This meant she could take in very little at a time or else her body would begin to push it away. this meant that she absorbed very slowly and was never able to receive the personification of her soul. I wasn''t sure why Helga was telling me this but I wasn''t concerned with that at the moment. I was worried about my hallucinations and seizures and if they would happen during the ceremony. It would be bad if they did and I''m not in the mood to see the abyss. After I woke up this morning, the strangeness in my body was accompanied by a pit in my stomach. It felt heavy and uncomfortable but it was not like the strangeness in my body. It was .........different. I can only hope the ceremony goes well.
Vale and the others.......... "Vale did the boy say anything about his hallucinations?" Asked the blonde haired goddess. "No." Vale replied from the pitch black eeriness of the space they were in."I''m sure he was suspicious about all of you asking for him to be reincarnated by your rules. I doubt he thought it was all because of his illness." "Is that so? I thought he would''ve mentioned something. Are you sure that he didn''t say anything?" This time the black haired man from before spoke. "I''m positive." Vale replied with confidence in his voice. He remembered everything Agiel said from the time he first spoke. After all he had to keep a very, very close eye on him. "I''m was sure he would''ve mentioned something." The blonde hair goddess spoke again. "He didn''t say anything. And no matter how many times you ask, the answer will never change." Vale was annoyed by these people''s persistence. "Not many people would mention anything about ''that''." "I wish he would''ve said something. We really needed to know how Abyss was doing. Make sure it wasn''t messing with anything." Blondie spoke again. "I''m sure Abyss will be fine. He hasn''t been awakened in over 7 billion years and has had countless carriers. There is no reason for this one to be ''the one.''" Vale said. "One time there is going to be one who wakes it up. It may be this one or it may be one in the distant future." Darkie spoke with a nonchalant voice but in reality he was worried. If ''it'' got out then the heavens would be scared and the mortals would be massacred. "Agiel was aware that Abyss is not someone to play around with. So I don''t think that he will go around and mess with ''it''." Vale said. "After all, he was already killed by ''it'' once, and I''m pretty sure that he doesn''t want to die again. He even told me that he wanted his disease back because he enjoyed it. Enjoyed the killing that is." "He was already killed by it!!!!!?" Blondie and Darkie exclaimed at the same time. Their faces a picture of horror. "Yes. The corpses pulled him into the Abyss. Or he jumped off a building. Whatever floats your boat." Vale said quitely. "What''s the matter?" "Vale. The prophecy stated that ''the one who died by his hand, will come forth once again to become strong and the vessel of something with no end. The one will become the vessel of the Abyss the one who scares the gods. For everything is lost in its gaze.''" Blondie said, practically shouting. "Oops. Guess I didn''t read that part." "This isn''t a joke Vale. If the Abyss were to awaken we would certainly die." Darkie said with a flustered expression plastered on his face. "Doesn''t it take many years for Abyss to awaken even if he is the one?" Vale asked. "Yes, it usually does. But some reports stated that Abyss could awaken in 5 years or 1000 years. It all depends on the vessel. But I only hope that Abyss is controlled before he awakens. I do not want to see the aftermath of Abyss''s exploits. And I have already seen the devastion of one of them." Darkie replied. Blondie, Darkie, and Vale could only hope Agiel would die before Abyss was awakened or that Agiel would control Abyss. Chapter 4: Revealance ceremony As soon as Helga finished dressing me, she picked me up and started walking down the hall. I could see where I was going because I was........well you know, blindfolded. It took her a little while to finally open a door. She sounded like she was having difficulty probably because she was holding me. When we finally entered the hall I heard many people murmuring softly. It smelled wonderful in there from all of the food. For the ceremony you would have an entire table full of meats, vegetables, fruits, desserts, and anything else you can imagine. I learned most of this from listening to people''s conversations. My room is very close to my father''s room and my brother, Daniel''s room. I heard them talk to a lot of different people and by doing so I learned a lot of information regarding politics and E.Us. Helga then walked a little while and put me down on what seemed to be a little stool. As I left her arms I could feel my body trying to regain its balance. Being in a baby''s body is incredibly difficult when you were accustomed to an adults. The murmuring stopped and a man started to read some long boring texts about the ceremony and how it came to be. I was really bored so I just sat there and thought of the ways I could torture the annoying man. First I would chain him up. Then I would slowly pull off each of his fingers and toes while he watched his loved ones be ravaged by a collection of men. I would then tell him I would make them stop if he ate a pile of his own shit. If he refused I would let him see them being raped while their fingers and toes were being pulled off, until he finally decided to do what I told him. If they died before he gave in, I would hang the corpses of the loved ones and dissect their bodies. I would then take out the organs and put them in a pile of shit. After I did that, the man would have his ears cut off and remaining apendeges. After cutting those off I would cut off his nose and lips. I would lay him down and put a three sided cage with a bunch of rats in it on to his stomach. The side without the wall on it would be facing his stomach so when I placed a lamp atop the cage the rats would bury into his stomach killing him from the inside, that is if he didn''t bleed out first. If I was feeling exceptionally good that day I would gouge out his eyeballs while all of this was happening. " And so, Agiel Mortem, we will now reveal your eyes and they conduct the full body exam." The man said after going on and on and on about some shit no one cared about. I nearly fell asleep during all that, and I would have if not for my lovely, happy thoughts. The man then came behind me and untied the cloth surrounding my face. His hands felt cold on the back of my neck. They had they same feeling as the Abyss. They same emptiness that radiates from its depths. I wanted to turn around the moment he untied the cloth, but I knew I shouldn''t. It would seem unnatural. Irregular. When the cloth fell from my face I saw the spectecal before me. I was in a hall that had red banners streaming to and fro and a huge golden dragon that looked down on the audience. The hall wasn''t too big but I could tell my father spent a lot of money doing this. I turned around and saw the audience, they were wearing all sorts of clothes. Blues, reds, purples, blacks. The ladies were wearing form firing dresses and Cinderella ball gowns. The men were dressed in what seemed to be this world''s version of a tuxedo. It had gold buttons lining the jacket and seemed to be made of a velvety fabric. The only difference between my world''s tuxedos and this one would be that this world had some interesting colors. Lime green, neon pink, electric yellow. The men looked stranger then the women, needless to say. I was laughing so hard inside, but I couldn''t show it on my face because this was concidered normal. Can you imagine seeing a person with cuts every where and a horrified expression wearing a lime green suit? Thinking about it made me almost laugh out loud. I was curious how they even got that color. But as I looked closer I could see that their mouths were all agape. I don''t think I had something I between my teeth, so probably one of three things happened: one, my eye color was shocking, two, I had an insignia smack dab in the middle of face, or three, I had strange eyes and an insignia on my face. I turned my oversized head around and found a small mirror a little to the side. I couldn''t reach it from were I sat so I made a grabbing motion towards it with my small, chubby fingers. I couldn''t walk yet so it would be strange if I just walked off the stool and picked it up. I also made small grunting noises indicating I wanted that. It was hard being a baby. So much effort was needed to pretend you weren''t doing anything. I am going to have to ''learn'' how to speak earlier, just like I am going to ''learn'' how to walk sooner. Somebody realized what I wanted and brought the mirror to me. The person was a young girl only about eight or nine. She had black hair and two blue eyes. She was definetly special. One in half a million people may have two eyes of the same color. Her was oval shaped and she had a thin nose and rosy lips. She was cute, but not beautiful. She had an innocent vibe to her. I doubt she realized how special her eyes were. She placed the small mirror in my hands before retreating quickly. She seemed scared. I doubt my eyes could be that scary. I soon changed my mind. I had straight back hair that was around my ears. It was pretty long for a baby my age. But when I saw my face I gasped. Even I, who has seen a lot, couldn''t help but feel surprized. Just when I was about to do something it happened. The Abyss came. This time there was no corpses. It was just the Abyss and its wide, gaping self that seemed to draw everything towards it. I walked toward for I felt a pull from that direction. It was as though it was calling to me. I knew that I should be careful because it had already killed me once. Well, I am the one who walked off the building, but it made me. It grabbed at me told me to join it. Which is why I was being so careful. Soon I got to the rim of the hole. I was a decent distance away but I could still look into it. It looked at me. It felt strange. Just like that other time. It was like someone was in the back of your head and saw everything you did. It was uncomfortable. "Why are you watching me?" I asked, purely out of curiosity. "Hehehehehehehehe." A cruel laughter rang out in the air. It was dry and merciless as though laughing at another''s pain. Oddly enough, it sounded like the man who was at the reveaance ceremony. "Why do you laugh?" This time I asked to see if I could make a conversation out of this. That would depend on Abyss though. "Hehehehehehehehe." The laughter rang out yet again. As soon as the last ''hehe'' resonated through the air, all that was left was silence. Dead silence. I guess that was the end of that conversation. And as if on cue, the corpses began to crawl about, as though symbolizing that my brain was my own again. Their hands grabbed me and weighed me down. And just as I was about to turn away from the Abyss. One of them pushed me. I fell into the Abyss. The darkness grabbed at me and embraced my being. I felt as if I was falling forever and when I finally opened my eyes I was at the ceremony again. The last thing I heard before I left the Abyss. Was not a threat or an insult. But merely a single word, "Bye."
When I woke up I saw Ellie and Kris hovering over me. They had a worried expression plastered on to their faces. When they saw me open my eyes and smile at them their faces shared the sigh of relief. "Are you okay, Agiel?" Ellie said in her worried sick tone. Even though she was slightly relieved she still was worried. After all, her brother just spent five minutes shaking on the ground. It would twitch sometimes, but most of the time his little body was shaking. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I slowly shook my head, but then decided that if I was going to talk, let''s pretend something strange happened when I passed out and suddenly I was able to talk. "Y-yes." I said softly in my childish voice. Everyone then looked shocked. They all appeared to be frozen. Ah, that''s right you can freeze people then expose them to incredibly hot temperatures quickly, and repeat that until their body can''t take it any more. When you think of killing techniques in a time of worry. "D-did you just s-speak, son?" Father asked, still pale with shock. "Yes, father." I replied softly. I was acting as though I had just learned how to speak. "H-h-how did you learn?" Father asked. "I blacked out, then I had this little voice come and tell me what I could do!" This time I was going with the child elicited over whatever voice. "Is that so?" Father looked skeptical but quickly recovered. "Did this ''voice'' tell you anything else?" "Yes. It also taught me how to walk." As I said this I got up on my feet and slowly began to move my small legs. I fell down a few times because my body still was unbalanced. My head was still huge compared to the rest of my body, but I could still walk. Father looked ready to faint after I did that. Ellie any better either. Father''so face returned to color shortly after that, then he said with a firm voice, "Son, come with me." He then picked me up, for he could see I was having trouble walking and we began to leave the hall, of course father being the gentlemen he was, told the party goers to enjoy the food while they checked on my condition. It seems none of them saw that I woke up yet, and still thought I was unconscious. A few people came to ask if father needed help, but he politely refused. Father took me down the long corridor into his study. That was the place he used for all of his mayorial duties. Book shelves lined the walls and a wooden desk polished to a deep luster awaited us as we entered the room. "Agiel, I''m going to check for the insignia now. Would you mind taking off your shirt?" Father asked, as he went and got his reading glasses. "Yes, Father. But I might need some help." I replied. You don''t have very good muscle control who you are little so doing things that need finely tuned motor skills are a bit hard. Of course taking your clothes off is not at the top of the finely tuned motor skills section but when you''re my age it''s something that requires a lot of effort and is quite hard without another person. "Of course Agiel." Father then came by and asked me to lift up my arms and then pulled the shirt off over my head. "It doesn''t look like the mark is on your chest. Would you mind turning around?" Father said after observing my small chest. I turned around and I heard father gasp. After the gasp I could almost feel his smile radiate on my back. It was quite scary. "Congratulations son, you''re going to be an E.U." Father said as I turned back around. "Now the only issue is what your element is. And option one it is. Strange eyes wins.
Kris''s POV My wife Tiffany gave birth to our son, Agiel. Unfortunately this would be the last because she died right after she gave birth. I promised her that I would love him even if I did feel that he caused her death. I knew in my heart th this wasn''t right for he was just a little boy and its not like he would want to kill his own mother. I can''t spend as much time with any of my children as I would like because I am busy running the town. Daniel is going to be a great mayor when he gets older and Timothy and Ellie are currently attending Fortem Academy, the best in the entire continent of Terra. And little Agiel barely ever crus and seems so intelligent for being so young. He views everything with curiosity, but seems to look at people in a weird way. He alway has a glint in his eye. He does look different but I still love him Well I can''t wait to see Agiel''s reveaance ceremony. I hope that he is an E.U. na cause when my wife died we lost a importantE.U. in our family and every one counts. Manyfoghts between towns and clans are determined by the strength and number of the E.U each side has. Finally the day has come. It''s Agiel''srevealance ceremony. I have invited many nobles in town and some of the less fortunate families because I know doing things like this would be what my wife wanted. The speaker today is different from the person who did Timothy, Ellie and Daniel''s a. He is very good but I feel he has an ominous aura around him and the way he keeps eyeing Agiel puts me on edge. as soon as Agiel''s eyes are shown I knew that he was special. They were unique and I doubted anyone else had eyes like him in the entire world. Which is incredibly large. But I soon get over my shock when Agiel collapsed on th ground and began to shake and twitch. It lasted for a few minutes but he opened his eyes soon. Seeing his eyes up close was startling. They seemed beautiful. Liked ou could lose yourself in them. "Ar you okay, Agiel?" I doubted he would answer but just seeing him acknowledge me would me a good sign that he was okay. "Y-yes, Father." Agiel said ain a quiet voice. I was shocked that he said those words. Ellie had the same expression as me. It seems that I wasn''t hearing things. "D-did you just s-speak, son?" I just had to make sure I wasn''t going crazy. "Yes father." He spoke in his soft childish voice yet again. "H-h-how did you learn?" So it seems I wasn''t hallcinating or anything. "I blacked out then I had this little voice tel me what I could do!" He eemed so exicted when he said that. I was a bit skeptical though because it had way to many holes in it and it could easily be fabricated. I recovered quickly to make sure he knew that I wasn''t doubting him, but even if the expression stayed on my face a bit longer he is only a year old even with the voice in his head. "Is that so?" "Yes, it also taught me how to walk." Agiel then sat up from his position on the floor and gradually stood up, and much to my surprise he began to walk. He lost his balance quite easily but I was still amazed he could walk that this age. I needed to check for the insignia, but I felt this wasn''t a good place to do it at. "Son, come with me." I said. I then scooped him up and started walking toward the exit after telling Ellie o stay here with her brothers and the party goers to eat some food. I took him down into my study and asked him if he could take his clothes off. He said he could bit he would probably need some help. He is still an infant which I will probably struggle to remember. I went and grabbed my reading glasses and a wet that there was no mark on his chest. I then asked him to turn around. When he did I gasped from the shock at first but then. I smiled with joy. He would be an E.U. Then insignia he had was so different rom everyone elseI knew. The is insigna was around the middle of his back and was a deep black circle with lines protruding out of it. It almost seemed as though the lines had a pattern which was undescernible to my eyes. It was about three inches across, the entire insignia that is, which was bigger then average. Now the only issue was determining his element(s).
If anybody as any ideas on what Agiel should look like or what color his eyes are please comment. You can also suggest an elementidea. Nothing is really planned out so I will be happy to hear your thoughts.
