《The Alpha》 A Very Old Book "Miss Isabel... Miss Isabel you will be late if you don''t wake up now" Isabel noticed one of her many maids acting as an alarm clock in a room that was without a speck of dust and was so big that is dwarfed the average size of a full scale house. This was the bedroom of royalty and Isabel was the next / only in line for the throne. "I''m up, I''m up...zzzz" Isabel spent all of 4 seconds awake before falling back onto her bed, wrapping up in her huge red blanket and sleeping. "... How?... Just how?" The maid was new to working for the princess so she had yet to get used to all the strange abilities of this princess. Isabel was 19 years old and had a very mature figure that made her look slightly innocent yet clumsy. Looks can be deceiving but in this case they match her personality perfectly. (10 Minuets Later) "I''m LATE!!!!" Isabel shouted as she ran through the huge castle having put the last bit of her dress on and styled her long brown hair into twin tails that were being dragged behind her as she ran. Isabel also had brown eyes and a smooth skin that was so white it would put the dead to shame. After running through the castle she made it to the dinning hall. "Why..*Pant* Is the castle *Pant* SO BIG?" Isabel managed to say while catching her breath. "Why are you running?" The king asked with a curious smile. Happy to see her but curious to know why she chose to run. The king was an old man at this point and had grey hair, grey skin, grey eyes and smelled of decomposition. He was a kind and generous ruler and his main job was to be a figure head. "The castle is so big that if I didn''t the day would be over by the time I got here" Isabel said while sitting down at the huge dinning table that was mostly empty of people. Only the king and Queen were there. "Anyway. You said you had something to discuss?" Isabel said inquisitively "Ah yes. With the world peace festival only 8 months away we decided to bring up the idea of building a remembrance statue for the Hullen in the next meeting of the kings... or in this case 3 Kings since the elven race''s first child was female" The queen said who was in a similar state to that of the king. Old yet looking more like a grandma who brings sweets for her grandchildren. "The who?" Isabel asked confused. "The Hullen. You can find information on them in the library however the race died out due to The Demon''s Extinction of them at the previous Peace Festival 100 years ago" The queen said informatively before continuing her meal. ''The Hullen? I thought there were only 5 races counting elf, dwarf, sub-human, human and demonic. I will pay the library a visit later... The library is 3 miles walk away due to the long maze of halls... damn it'' The princess thought to herself as she ate her meal with a tear of regret on the pain her feet will be feeling. Later that day Isabel went to the library in search for knowledge on something she would probably have to give a speech for if a memorial was made. "The *Pant* I am going to *Pant* kill the guy who designed this castle." Isabel said as she pushed open the door to the library practically clinging to the door handle for support to keep herself on her feat. "High heals are *Pant* Not meant to be running shoes" Isabel said as a mental note as she could feel her feet complaining already by developing a blister or two that the court mage would most likely be forced to heal. The library was huge and full of so many books and so much knowledge. Looking at it all gave Isabel a strong feeling of awe each time. Every book containing a fragment of the past''s knowledge being past down. If the information she was after wasn''t able to be found here then only the elves would be able to provide an answer should there be one. "Hello? Is there a librarian here?" Isabel asked as she walked out into the huge open centre area full of empty tables and lanterns to be turned on at night. "Yes I am here so what do you wan..." Out came a young librarian mage robes slightly annoyed at being disturbed and yet when he saw the princess he immediately changed his tone to one of respect. "Did you need something Miss Isabel?" The librarian asked with a smile as he walked back over to the shelf of books he burst out of and continued organising them. Isabel followed casually. "Yea. I was looking for information on the Hullen" Isabel said with a smile and the Librarian froze dropping the book he was holding and slowly turned around to face the princess. "Oh... that is some old history so it is contained in the back room. It is a little... It is very dusty so would you still like to read or would you like me to have them ready for tomorrow?" The librarian said almost terrified that he would be exposing the princess to dust in the royal castle. "I should be ok. just tell me where the books are located on the Hullen and I should be good" Isabel said confidently. The librarian put up his hood and got out a lantern in his right hand making himself look look very ominous due to the lighting. "Follow me" The librarian said as his left hand activated a rune on the ground that opened up a hidden staircase. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. "Wait isn''t the dining hall supposed to be directly bellow us?" Isabel said curious and slightly annoyed if there was a short cut after running the long way around. "Hmpf" The librarian just continued down the stairs slightly annoyed at Isabel''s little to no understanding of the magic in her own castle. After walking down the dark stairs and across a long hall passing many doors they reached an old door that looked like it would fall apart at any moment. "These doors are new just to let you know. they just have a magic that makes them look as old as what''s inside them to give you an idea of how far back the information goes. newer information is on the right. Don''t look at the left" The Librarian said as he walked off having faith in the Princess to follow the instructions. Isabel opened the frail oak door and saw an empty room with 1 bookshelf and 1 table to read at. The chair was so frail it looked as if just sitting down would break it however she guessed it was just magic. The bookshelf was practically empty. There was one book that looked slightly old to the right and one VERY old book to the left. The old book wasn''t even made of normal materials. It looked like some strange type of paper and dragon leather. "Ominous..." Isabel said as she felt a shiver crawl across her spine just looking at the very old book. Isabel went to the newer book and decided to read it first. It wasn''t very big and contained very little information. "The 5 Great Races. Page 48 The Hullen. This race is very unique in its speciality. The Hullen were primarily designed to fight due to the harsh climate they evolved in and the fact their capital city was located in the heart of a Dragon''s Breading Ground. Only the strong survived and the strongest would still die there.... ...Hullen is based on the old proverb Hallen meaning Warrior in their native language, They saw themselves as a warrior race so they just stuck with the name.... ... The Hullen have bright red eyes that appear to glow, Their eyes are powerful allowing them purfect sight in the dark however even without eyes they can naturally sense the Mana in the air allowing them to feel their surroundings better then seeing them... ...The Hullen have huge stores of Mana in them and due to this their hair has no colour. It was bleached out due to such high concentrations of Mana. Some of the Hullen as children do have hair colours such as light pink and silver however when they grow older this is removed even if the Hullen likes their hair, However hair dye is an effective cure to this if only temporary... Page 51 ... The 6 nations gathered in the Peace Festival that is held every 100 years however as we all know The Demon only used it as a way to kill all the strongest Hullen while their guard was down. The Hullen were destroyed easily from that point on and it took the work of a few surviving Hullen and The Hero to kill The Demon. Even with a few surviving members there were no female survivors thus the race went extinct officially... ... The Hullen that survived all mentioned something about someone called #### saying he would have to continue without them ##### T## #####..." The rest of the book was to worn away to read however Isabel was shocked at this news. "wow... The Hullen sound strong... scary" Isabel said with sarcasm in her voice. ''Which being could actually live in a dragons breading ground? Its impossible'' Isabel thought to herself and she began to walk to the exit but something stopped her. She was just a step away from the door however Isabel glanced at the very old book. A book so old she was impressed that it was still intact. Isabel debated heavily between her curiosity and her rationality. Before she knew it though she was already right before the really old book and able to see the thick layer of dust that coated its surface. Isabel brushed the dust away to see big bold letters that spelled out the title. "The Alpha?" Isabel said the name aloud confused. Just saying the name made something inside of her changed. She felt her heart skip a beat and breathing became harder. The air became dry and the book started to give out a feeling of power. "So its a wolf?" Isabel said ignorantly, completely immune to the power the book held. ".....The Last Hullen........ Immortal...." Only four words were able to be read in the huge book. everything else was lost through time... "Immortal huh? I wonder if that means he is still around?" Isabel said aloud as she shut the book and put it back on the shelf. "Probably not. But if there is still Hullen out there I guess there is no harm in trying to find them to invite them to the peace festival" Isabel said to herself as she walked out of the library with a new goal to accomplish. Little did she know in a very distant place a very old pair of eyes had opened with a bright sky blue fire dancing around in them. ---------------------- Do let me know what you think of the story. I consider this to be my best story yet since I have had it planned our for a year now. I spent said year improving it. I hope you enjoy The Alpha. The Legends Of The Hullen In the Human capital city where the Castle of Kings is located a certain Princess was wandering around looking for an old friend. She searched where normally royalty stayed away from. In The Commoners Level of the capital resided a family of extreme power. "Hero!!! Hero!!!" Isabel started calling out to someone with a smile on her face. she was ankle deep in mud yet didn''t care because she was used to walking around The Commoners Level. Isabel directed her attention to a martial arts training dojo where a young man exited the old poorly built structure with a smile. "Long time no see Isy. How have you been?" The Hero asked Isabel with a smile. The Hero was slightly younger then Isabel yet wore a pleasant looking smile and had a kind aura about him. "I have been... My eyes are up here...." Isabel had grown accustomed to her childhood friends ''perversion'' for some time however it was still embarrassing to be ignored while the person she was talking to stared at her breasts. "Ahh. yes so they are. Anyway speaking of your delicious looking melons. Have you gotten anyone you wished to taste them?" The Hero asked with a sly expression. In reality The Hero would want anything but to go out with the princess. sure he would joke however he knew it wasn''t meant to be. Does''t mean he can''t tease her as a friend though. "NO!!!" Isabel said angrily. "Why did this conversation become about... no never mind that is just your way of thinking. Anyway I have came to speak with you about something that could be important?" Isabel said slightly questioning her own words. "Could be? I am getting ready to go out on a very important mission but I have time to speak with a friend" The hero said calmly with a smile. "Do you know much about a race called The Hullen?" Isabel asked innocently and to her surprise The Hero''s face transformed from a calm smile to a deadly serious expression. "Yes. My father used to tell stories about such a race. Why? What would you like to know?" The Hero questioned seriously as to his knowledge the race should have died out and Isabel shouldn''t even know about them. "A Memorial is being built for them at the Peace Festival. I also read a few books about their unbelievable power so I cam to ask if what I read was true" Isabel said with a smile completely ignorant of The Hero''s serious tone and atmosphere he was building. "Oh. I guess that does make sense. The Hullen were a strong race, Father said it only took 6 Hullen to rival him in battle" The Hero said with a smile. The Hero is a being that can slay dragons and the previous Hero was said to be the strongest in combat. Isabel struggled to believe that the old Hero was at his limit when it came to 6 Hullen. "I guess that makes them strong. But if this was the case how were they beaten by The Demon and his armies?" Isabel asked however the Hero didn''t respond. Instead he just walked back into the Dojo. "Are you coming. We can''t stand out in the street all day. We can finish this inside" The Hero said with a smile. Isabel followed The Hero inside and they walked across a long hallway and into a large room with some seats in. The Hero took a seat and gestured for Isabel to do the same. "The Hullen. A race of strong fighters didn''t feel at home in a Peace Festival so they drew the ominous feeling they had to them ending the wars that went on for so long. However as their guard was down The Demon took this chance to slaughter the Hullen''s strongest fighters. It took most of The Demon''s armies however he ended the Hullen Race. Father said that even then on The Demon''s deathbed he apologised for not killing more. The Hullen were left few in number however without any female Hullen they couldn''t repopulate" The Hero said with a grim face. Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. "But can''t they just repopulate through another species?" Isabel asked doubtful. In this world if an elf and a dwarf were to have babies it would not make a halfbreed between the two races it would make either a dwarf or an elf. The chances of it being of either race is around 50/50 with a few minor variables. "I am sorry but the Hullen''s reproductive system is vastly different from our own. Unlike the 4 great races. 5 if you count the Demonic. The Hullen were separated from the other races for a large amount of time as they lived inside of a Dragon''s Breeding Ground so it took a Hero to even discover that they existed. He was asked be a Dragon King to beg the Hullen to stop killing dragons and that was when they were discovered" The Hero said informatively and he looked very pleased with himself for acting like a teacher for Isabel. "Oh.... One last question. What is The Alpha?" Isabel asked innocently and The Hero felt a shiver go up his spine just hearing the name. The Hero''s mouth went slightly dry and he tripped over his own words for a moment. "T..The Alpha... I wasn''t told much however I know one thing about The Alpha" The Hero said sounding almost scared. "What is it?" Isabel asked slightly worried at what could put her friend in such a state. "He is a being with power that rivals the gods. Just mentioning his name can make any creature scared even to this day" The Hero said and he then took a deep breath in before sighing to regain his composure. "I....Is it possible he is still alive today?" Isabel asked curious. "Hell no. He lived well over a century ago and even then he was seen as old. how the hell could he still be alive today?" The Hero asked rhetorically before standing up and stretching. "Now if you will excuse me I need to head over to the Central City" The Hero said with a smile getting ready to start his newest quest. "I suppose so" Isabel said slightly disappointed yet she didn''t know why she felt that way. She bid The Hero farewell and returned to the castle... Meanwhile in the distant island cluster located 28 miles north from the main island that was home to the 4 great races located deep underground a small cave was being illuminated by a bright blue light. The light was being projected from a mysterious creature''s eyes. A creature that has slept for a long time was starting to wake up. It lifted one of its cold pale lifeless hands and brushed it through his overgrown bleached white hair. "Almost.... Time...."??? --------------------------- Hell yea. Two chapters in one day. I am a miracle worker!!! Anyway feel free to let your thoughts and feelings about the chapter known in the comment section. if I see nothing then I have no idea if you like the fiction or not. It may not effect any major plot points however I am happy to listen to honest criticism and will take it to heart... my cold dead heart but still to heart :D Also this chapter may be slightly short but the next chapter will be significantly longer so it all works out in the end! Quest Of A Hero "Mr Liam Cross. You don''t have any more time to waste" One of The Hero''s knights mentioned to him. "I know. I have to go out and finish it now huh? Don''t worry I wont fail my ancestors and will purge all evil from this world" Liam said while putting his Blade Of Heroes to its sheath on his back. He wore leather armour for the most part with only plated parts being his gauntlets and shoulders. Mainly because his Blade was without and sort of hand guard so he took extra caution. To sacrifice defence in the name of offence was the purpose of the blade though so he didn''t know if it would make a difference. Liam had a mission to complete and he knew if he failed this one his father''s work would be undone. He had to kill the spawn of The Demon. "The most recent reports have placed the hell spawn to be located 8 miles south of central city. If they wanted to start a war attacking there would certainly be the best way to do it and cause panic as well. Use the teleporter in the royal castle and immediately head to the forest The Demon hides in" Liam understood the orders. He knew in terms of raw power he would be slightly lacking against The Demon his father fought and killed however he has been training hard. Laim was still prepared to come in quietly and slice the throat of such a monster. Liam wasted no time in leaving his dojo and entering the royal castle. He was given permission to use a teleporter that was reserved only for times of need. it took 5 seconds to fully teleport however that is still significantly faster then how long it would have taken to run to the central city. The central City is located in the centre of the 4 great nations and is surrounded by dragon''s breeding grounds. It is the old capital city of The Hullen. "wow..." when Liam arrived he saw a beautiful sight. the sun was just about to set over the horizon as the sky had many stars that appeared to move... no that was just the dragon scales reflecting the setting sun. The Central City was restored by the efforts of all 4 races and he could see the memorial for The Hullen already being built. He could feel a great sadness in the air and the pain of an entire species dying still lingered in the air. Their power could still be felt to this day as well. The capital city was built in a crater that was said to have been made by one of their stronger warriors punching the ground. "Impressive. Isn''t it?" Liam heared a voice behind him speaking with a saddened smile. "Grand Elder? A pleasure to meet you here. I assume you know why I am here?" Liam said to the old woman behind her. The Grand Elder was the title given to the head of the church. She passed on the words of the divines and because of this asking if she knew why he was here was pointless but he asked more out of forgetting who he was talking to. "I have already seen this day through the eyes above. I couldn''t see clearly however. Something was blocking my sight. Something strong... Something.... Angry. Full of wrath seeking vengeance. A powerful urge for revenge. I assume this is why you are here?" The Grand Elder said ominously. "The spawn of The Demon has become The Demon themselves. I was tasked with ending them once and for all" Liam said understanding the situation. "The Demon? this is truly a dire situation we find ourselves in. I fear I know not much more then what I have already said however I can tell that the rage I feel is a power stronger then your own. Many times greater... I suggest you proceed with caution" The Grand Elder said informatively. "I appreciate your guidance Grand Elder. I will observe The Demon and strike from the shadows" Liam said politely with a bow before walking to the large open window around the teleportation circle preparing to make the jump from easily 200 feet in the air. He was in the Grand Palace where the King of the Hullen lived. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "Power Drive" Liam charged up his mana and jumped out of the palace and using is Mana like rocked fuel he gave himself a huge boost of lift and sent himself flying in the direction of his target. The Demon. "Strange... The power I felt... It didn''t feel demonic" The Grand Elder mentioned quietly while The Hero Liam was already out of the capital city and on his way to the new threat... The New Demon. The demonic races are all seen as demons themselves however none of them are pure demons. water demons, fire demons and even spatial demons. None of them a true Demon except for one line of blood that survived because it was the strongest of the True Demons. Given the title as the one and only Demon. Liam dashed across the tree tops only visible when he slowed down to land on a tree branch and kick off again heading to the location The demon was last spotted at. only a few miles away from the central city was worrying however he was now 8 miles south and had yet to even feel a hint of demonic energy. Liam stood on the tip of the thinnest branch of a tree seemingly weightless as he kept a keen eye out. He heared the warning of The Grand Elder clearly so he began to open up his Mana Pool and sense his surroundings while also doing his best to fade into the darkness of non-existence. Suddenly to the west of his location he felt it. Demonic Energy and a very powerful source. It strangely felt weaker then his own power but he assumed this was to hide their presence as they approached the city. "You won''t escape me" Liam said as he started to vanish into a dark cloud. He took no chances and used his strongest darkness magic to hide himself. The collision of these two powers was coming however something was changing in the world elsewhere. "Father. I request permission to go to the elven kingdom and search for information about The Hullen" Isabel said politely in her request. She got information from The Hero Liam however she was not satisfied. Something inside of her was hungry for this knowledge. "Sure... But why?" The King said curiously. Before simply allowing his daughter to go to another kingdom he needed some sort of reason. "I wish to see if I can find any record of a surviving Hullen before the Peace Festival comes around 8 months from now" Isabel said seriously with determination engrained into her. "Then if this is the road you seek, go. However you will be required to be back 3 months before the festival to help preparation so don''t take to long" The King said understandingly. He himself would love to see a Hullen one last time. He had only ever seen the few survivors when he was much younger however they died of old age before Isabel was even born. "Yay!!!" Isabel said while running over to her room to pack some of her things and head to the Royal Teleporter. The finally pieces are almost in position for things to be put into motion. However one piece was already in motion. It had been for a long time. In a deep dark cave there was only one light source. The fire in a ancient creatures eyes. Its energy had been building for some time know and it was nearly at breaking point. "..." -------------------------- The story is almost able to be put into motion. I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Clash Of Powers Moving through the forest at blinding speeds was the hero moving in on the demonic energy he is feeling. The closer he gets the more of the power he can feel and just as The Grand Elder said it felt huge. The Mana was rivalling his own and he didn''t even know if this being was suppressing their. As he got closer the grip on his blade grew tighter and tighter. He was determined to end this on one attack and wouldn''t risk giving The Demon a chance to react since entire races could die to this persons power. "Special Technique. Assassin Series" Liam said as his power grew within his blade. Just ahead of him with only a few trees in the way he could feel The Demon. A Female True Demon with Pure crimson red skin that gave the off feeling of blood and death and with eyes that sucked light in like a bottomless void. The Demon stood only 5 feet tall yet had two long dark brown horns protruding from the top of the head that glowed a molten red at the horns core. Elongated black finger and toe nails that looked more like talons were razor sharp and most likely The Demon''s primary close quarters attack was related to its use. The Demon also wore seemingly out of place basic leather armour just like his own. The Hero drew this up to The Demon also fighting like he does and using speed and dexterity to win fights. The Hero looked upon his adversary for what would most likely be the last time before he activated his technique. "Superior Assassinate" The Heroes Blade flashed a bright light that covered the area. The Demon felt this power right behind her yet couldn''t react. The Hero moved at his fastest speed breaking the sound barrier and time around him appeared to slow down. His blade went straight for the neck of The Demon leaving a clean cut. He then left a trail of blood from his bade connected to The Demon''s neck. The Demon coughed up some blood and fell to her knees. As a True Demon she had long messy black hair that was now stained with a line of her own red blood that as only a few shades darker then the colour of her skin as it came out like a fountain. "It is done. Rest in hell you Demon" The Hero Liam said as he sheathed his sword and walked away from The Demon. "Didn''t you ever learn not to turn your back on an adversary" The Hero Liam fast realised his mistake of turning his back on The Demon. A powerful blast of mana was sent directly at him sending in flying through a few trees before his body slammed against a boulder which shattered on impact. The Hero Liam stood up to see The Demon with a smug smile on her face. She wasn''t giving off any evil energy which he assumed she was just suppressing. However Liam could tell she was definitely after a fight. "Looks like I made a mistake and I went for your head. This time I shall start with your heart" The Hero Liam said while remembering True Demons have insane regeneration because of the Mana Source located in their heart. "I have been expecting you however I had hoped to get to the central continent first before moving to the other 4 nations" The Demon said with a smile. ''Does she think I will let her just kill? Her entire bloodline is filled with evil. I won''t allow it!'' The Hero Liam thought to himself as he prepared to fight The Demon. Even if he couldn''t sense her evil it meant nothing since fooling Liam''s senses is not hard. But fooling The Grand Elder''s senses is impossible and she had already given him the go ahead. "You know. Ever since I was a child hearing stories from my father I had always wondered what The Demon was like. I had seen good in the demonic race when I saw Water Demons or sometimes even Fire Demons however he said that The demon... The One True Demon was heartless. A Monster that killed mercilessly and eradicated whole races" THe Hero said seriously as his own anger was getting the better of him. He took a step forwards getting ready for a fight to the death. The Demon took a step back with a slightly scared look on her face as The Hero was going to get serious from the get go. "I didn''t want to except it and thought everyone had a chance. Everyone had good in them yet that must have just been my naive thinking since I was but a child. He said that on The Demon''s death bed as your father was drawing his last breath he said something. He was sorry that he didn''t do more then he did" The Hero took another step and this time the ground cracked beneath his feat. Feeling the inevitable clash The Demon powered up her own power and prepared to fight The Hero. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. "But even then that is not why I will kill you today. For your sin of simply existing I will eradicate your bloodline so no more incidents like what happened 100 years ago will repeat itself. Because it will mean the end of the peace my father fought and died for I WILL KILL YOU!!!" The Hero charged at The Demon as fast as he could. The fight had begun between the two. A continuation of the fight 100 years ago and this time the fight would end. The Hero sent his power flow directly into his sword and slammed it down onto The Demon who parried the slash with her sharp black claws. A huge wave of power levelled the area into a flat open field to fight on. The two warriors proceeded in exchanging blows faster then the eye could see causing chunks of the land to be sent flying with every impact. The power emitted from the initial clash sent out waves of power across the entire super continent. These waves were picked up only by one creature in the haze of all the Mana flowing in the endless streams of the planet. "...."??? While The Hero and The Demon were busy in their conflict that could decide the fate of the planet. A foolish princess was in the vast library of the Elven Kingdom and was about to stumble upon something that would seal her fate and lead her on the path that would guarantee the outcome of the conflict that has been increasingly getting worse and worse for a long time now. "The Final Battle?" Isabel asked herself as she picked up an old book that dated back to just after the fight between The Hero and The Demon. "Find what you were looking for princess?" The Elven librarian said with a smile. "No. its written in elven... by any chance could you..?" Isabel requested some help in gathering information from the book. "Well... The book mentions about the fight between The Hero and The Demon. However it also references a cave to the north known only as the Crystal Cave as it holds unknown properties due to the high concentration of Mana. It holds so much Mana in fact that just going there is impossible as your body would be over pressured by the Mana and death would soon follow. You would have to be quite the monster to survive in there or simply not have any Mana inside of you fro the Mana in the cave to put pressure against. Apart from that it is all information everyone already knows" The Librarian said with a smile. "What is the fastest way to get to Crystal Cave?" Isabel asked inocently. "Well... I guess Teleport to the North Island outpost in the Elven Continent and then travel north for 73 miles before you reach the ocean. You should see an island around 28 miles north" The Elf said with a smile. "Wait. but wouldn''t it be hidden by the horizon at that distance?" Isabel asked and the Elf shook his head. "It can be seen as clear as day. The water is so dense with mana that you can walk on it. The sky is so dense with mana that no cloud can be formed and breath becomes significantly harder. Now winds blow there and the entire island is like a tower that extends far into the sky. At the top of the tower legends say some powerful weapon of the gods is hidden" The Elf said with a smile before continuing his work in the library. ------------------------------------ The chapter was able to be released earlier then expected. Fear not. I will have a fight between The Hero and The Demon in the next chapter. For now the plot is still building and I need to get all the pieces in place before I even think about releasing The Mysterious Creature that rests all the way at the bottom of The Crystal Cave. Also the next chapter will be significantly longer for reasons of the content holding a huge fight while having a foolish princess stumble into The Crystal Cave. The Deep Crystal Cave After the first attack the ground cleared around The Hero and The Demon. The two powerhouses began their exchange of attacks each hit being countered with neither side gaining any ground. "Heroic Slash" "Demonic Claw" The two exchanged powerful attacks that could destroy a city effortlessly and continued reducing the land to nothing more then a desolate wasteland. The sky was blocked out by thick clouds that ominously crashed together sparking lightning to fall to the ground almost in slow motion compared to the two monsters at work. Thunder rumbled through the lands with The Demon and The Heroes attacks blending in to the destruction occurring in a once peaceful forest. The fight between The Hero and The Demon lasted all of 1 minuet before the heavens themselves weeped at the destruction of the lands as the sky rained heavily. "You are not leaving this forest alive DEMON!!!" The Hero said full of determination as he charged at The Demon once more. "Then why don''t you stop with your pathetic attacks and KILL ME HERO" The Demon said challengingly with no intention of just rolling over and dying to The Hero. The two continued their fight that was destined to occur. However as this fight continued a foolish princess was walking in to the presence of a true monster. One that could put both The Hero and The Demon into the ground. "So much for a near by teleportation. I guess I have to run further to get to the dining room but that was just awful and dirty and muddy and...." Isabel continued complaining as she continued through the forest in Elven travelling gear that she borrowed to make it to the Crystal Cave. She was still wondering why she didn''t just wait for her father to get a carriage but for some reason she felt like she had to get there as soon as possible. "And to top it all off I will need at least 3 baths when I get baaa..... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???" Isabel had just exited the dense forest and immediately saw a huge tower in the distance. It was so far away yet so big. The clouds around it looked like they were circling the eye of a storm. In the gap between the clouds you could see straight into the void beyond the atmosphere and at the stars were crystal clear. The huge tower was in fact just a cylinder shaped mountain full of mana crystals that caused the tower to glow and it had a heavenly aura about it. Isabel naturally walked towards the unbelievable sight in front of her and didn''t even notice when she was walking on the ocean. So dense with mana that it acted more like a solid then a liquid and was perfectly flat with only a few ripples in the water caused by Isabel''s feet as the two surfaces collided. "So... A Hullen could be in there. I am going to need a boat... WAIT WHAT???" Isabel after making it a full mile out to sea finally noticed the situation. She saw no fish beneath her except for an almost reflective surface. While being absolutely amazed by the sight she quickly remembered the reason for her being at the mysterious natural phenomenon and continued heading towards the cave.... Back over to The Hero and The Demon the fight was still at a stale mate with both fighters continuing their vast exchange of blows with a huge mana pool to throw around as the saw fit. After a full 8 minuets of fighting the two sides were still holding strong. "Damn it, I feel like I am fighting a cockroach. HOLY BURIAL" The Hero shouted while he sheathed his sword to charge up a powerful attack. "Don''t mock me with such pathetic finishing moves. BLACK FIRE CREMATION" The Demon said as she retracted her claws and gathered all of her Mana into a fire ball in-between her horns. The Demon''s horns began glowing a all consuming black and her aura vanished into this final attack... Isabel finally made it to the giant tower which up close she could be compared to standing next to Mount Everest. "Wow..." Isabel said as she walked into one of the caves many openings in hopes of reaching the top. The Foolish princess thought what she was after was located above her and thus strived to find a path that lead up. Funnily enough all but one cave takes you up to the top. The other one takes you deep underground where no light reaches. "Hullen.... HULLEN!!! HULLLEEENN!!!" Isabel in her slightly wry state of wandering the dark underground caves called out to what she had expected to be a small city of Hullen. Her voice traveled across the caves like a sonar that a creature could pick up on. The only creature other then Isabel that was in the caves. "It is almost time my friend. The Demon is moving on their way to the World Peace Festival however I know he is trying to draw you out. Remain here old friend and let me handle it"??? This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. Isabel looked around for the source of the voice and saw a heroic looking figure that was similar to The Hero who fought The Demon 100 years ago... He was more of an echo left behind by the former self and the mana in the walls was replaying it like a record player plays music. "............." Isabel saw a very faint figure give a reply to The Old Hero however the cave must have had a hard time reading the power of that man however she saw that he had long hair that fell just short of his neck and he wore basic commoners clothing. "Look........................... If you really want too fight that badly you will need a few ............. just in case you run into trouble...................... come on do you want him dead or not?" The Old Hero said seriously. ".............." The strange figure reluctantly gave in while The Hero led the way. Isabel followed the direction they went and after walking through a long tunnel she arrived at a dragon... A Skeletal Dragon... No it was just dead however it gave off a light source and thanks to that she didn''t need to follow the lights of the ghosts that remained 1 step ahead of her. "Hello... Anyone there?" Isabel asked as she walked over to the light source. Where the heard of a dragon should be Isabel saw a large opaque crystal with a note on it. "To release the seal place that hand of Royal Blood on the crystal. Be warned that once the crystal is removed the future depends on the choices made by the person reading this" Isabel read aloud curiously as the Blue Crystal emitted a powerful light that was bright enough to see the note clearly. Isabel then placed her hand on the crystal thinking a Hullen was inside....... "DIE!!!" The two fighters shouted at each other before preparing to finally launch their attacks... However just as they were about to strike a powerful wave of energy engulfed the land bringing both to their knees and collapsing from being absolutely crushed under an absolute power. The sky cleared of all clouds and the flow of mana on the planet completely stopped for just a moment. In that moment ever creature alive felt a change. Those with and without mana could also feel the presence that covered the planet in that one moment Isabel touched the crystal. *Cracking* *Heavy Cracking* *Shatter* Isabel saw a man standing before her in old and worn rags. He had pure white hair and blue eyes that had life dancing around in them yet something in those eyes felt missing. Incomplete... *Heart Beat* The man blinked a few times before looking around paying no attention to Isabel. "Urm... Hello?" Isabel said quietly. "... You, why did you come here?" The strange man said giving off a feeling that felt dangerous just to be around. "I came looking for any Hullen that survived the extinction 100 years ago" Isabel said noticing this man had pure white hair and a lot of power. She had no mana and even she could feel the air of power around him. "Sorry. The Hullen are dead. None survived" The strange man said grimly. "... What about... Are you by any chance... The Alpha?" Isabel asked curiously to the man who looked more tired then powerful. He had a pair of eyes that had seen much disaster and as Isabel asked this question he took a serious expression. "No...." ---------------------------------------

Oh god I hope I did that table right. On another note I was going to just continue the chapter however I would like to announce something. THE INTRODUCTION ARC IS OVER!!! Time for the real story to start... Also I will be getting some actual tools to improve my writing. I will go over all my chapters and try to improve them so the next chapter will take longer to release so I must apologise. Update Sorry. I will be unable to release chapters for a while due to work however I should be back within a week. sorry for any and all inconveniences this may cause. Start Of A Journey "No...." The strange man said as the air around him grew heavier. The mention of the name shook the ground under him and cracks formed along the walls. Isabel even being as ignorant as she was to understanding situations could tell he wasn''t telling the full story. Yet at the same time he believed his own words. Besides he still looked so young so how could he be The Alpha? "I see..." Isabel was left in an awkward silence as she continued to follow the strange man as he walked out. "So. Do you have a name I can call you?" Isabel asked curiously after a while of walking. "I used to be called Davus Lune" Davus Lune said in a slightly more friendly tone as he introduced himself. "Nice to meet you Davus. I am Isabel" Said the foolish princess who failed her understanding of Hullen Language. "It is more polite to call a Hullen by their given name and not their family name. Please call me Lune" Lune said trying to speak a little more casually. "Oh. Nice to meet you Lune" Isabel said with a friendly smile before she noticed the sound of crashing waves against the cliff face. She turned to see the ocean she once crossed with such ease to be in the middle of a harsh storm. "Interesting. I had thought the Crystal Caves were still connected to the island however it appears I was wrong. How long has it been since I last saw the light of day?... I guess it doesn''t really matter" Lune said while gathering some mana in his hand and calming the storm instantly. "So your a mage?" Isabel asked in awe. "A mage? I am a warrior. when surrounded by dragons and gods that wish to kill you the only option is to fight to survive. I just know what allows me to better my fighting potential however to calm a storm like this I just need to release a small amount of my power" Lune said in a gentle monotone as he walked across the ocean. "However before I woke up I did sense two strong people fighting. I am unsure what type of energy they used however I am certain that I look forward to meeting them." Lune said with a smile that felt slightly dark as he reached the shore line. He then turned around and noticed that he had left the foolish princess behind due to his speed. "I wonder if the foolish princess knows about her power?" Lune said before turning back to the direction he felt the two powers fighting each other. "What an interesting world I came back to"... ... "Did... Did you do that?" The Hero asked as he pulled himself onto his feat with what remaining strength he had before collapsing back to the ground. He looked over to The Demon who was in a similar state as he was. "ME? Like hell I have that much power" The Demon said in complaint as she struggled to stand. "Please. I was told by The Grand Elder that you were coming. Angry and evil just like your father" The Hero said as he used his sword to help himself stand. The Demon grew angry at this and sent a wave of energy at The Hero that made him fall back onto his ass. "I came to the central to try and form a peace treaty. I am nothing like my father. He wanted nothing more then to kill The Hullen. I on the other hand want to fix what he broke no mater the cost. The Demonic Race wont survive another war" The Demon said seriously as a tear fell to the ground. The Hero forced himself to stand again and dragged himself over to The Demon while lifting his sword in the air aiming for a clear cut stab straight through her heard and to leave the sword embedded into the ground. "Then die and end it all. Without you the demonic race would be seen as any other race and the hatred would die with you" The Hero said seriously before bringing his sword down. "Just like the demons were forgiven with my fathers death?" The Demon said curiously as she used he right hand to catch the blade just inches from her chest. The Hero looked at the person before him and struggled to see a monster. He saw someone with determination in their eyes to save their race. The Demonic Continent being in ruins is not news to his ears. He had know for some time but did nothing out of his own personal distance for the Demonic Race. He was not about to let The Demon live because he knew she had the power of evil inside of her and he had to stop that from ever seeing the light of day again. "You have my word. I will personally go to each country and speak about making a new peace treaty. I will even bring it up at the Peace Festival" The Hero said seriously as he lifted his blade one last time looking directly into The Demon''s eyes. "I see... Thank you... Hero" The Demon said as she let her arm fall to the ground and she accepted her fate, The Hero looked deep into her eyes and brought his sword crashing towards the ground. His sword coated in blood was left half submerged into the ground as The Hero fell back out of energy. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. After a full quiet minuet the scilence was broken. "Why did you spare me?" The Demon asked confused as the sword was a good few centimetres away from her body and she knew better then to think The Hero would miss by accident. She was in a state that left her unable to even move let alone block The Heroes sword once more. "I.... I don''t know" The Hero said honestly as he fell onto his back and lied down looking at the sky. When he looked into her eyes as he was about to launch the finishing blow he simply didn''t sense any evil. No instead he felt a warmth that he knew evil didn''t have. She was prepared to give her life to end the war and that is not something evil would do. "Probably because you have big boobs" The Hero guesses not being one to look to deeply into things. "You pervert" The demon said while sending a dark bolt into The Heroes gut. She didn''t have the power to do any real damage however it did cause a small amount of pain on The Hero who comically accepted his punishment like a true pervert. "*Cough* Also *Cough* Look around. For all your attacks all you actually did was damage a few trees. Not a single creature was harmed in your attacks. You also don''t look evil. You don''t feel evil" The Hero said a bit more seriously making The demon a bit curious to see if this Hero was just pretending to be perverted to brake the hostile atmosphere. Maybe this Hero was kinder then he looked. "Also you are about as threatening as a house cat" The Hero said with a light laugh. "HEY!!!" The Demon said angry at being compared to a house cat. "ha ha... Well... My name is Liam Cross.... What is yours?" Liam asked with a friendly smile. "I... I am Elie... Elie Faria. It is a pleasure to meet you" Elie said with a smile. "No trust me. The pleasure it ALL mine" Liam said while openly staring directly at her chest. "Dark Bolt *Hero Wilhelm scream*. I never thought The Hero would spare my life though. I thought it would be a race against the clock to try and convince the leaders of the 4 great nations to allow my race to be spared. Yet with your help I guess it will be easier... Yet something tells me I will regret asking this... Would you please join me in my quest to add the Demonic Race to the Peace Treaty?" Elie asked already sensing the regret she would be having for the next few months before the Peace Festival. "Yea. I would love to help" Liam said in a more serious tone yet he said it with a smile. As The Hero it was his job to help people in their time of need. He would happily help an entire race since he did not think the actions of one True Demon should be branded as the actions of an entire race. No Demonic Race and resist the command of a True Demon so even if they wanted to be good they couldn''t. "By the way... What do you think that power was?" Liam asked curiously as he himself had no idea. "That? I have a few ideas however.... I hope it isn''t a monster from my fathers past" Elie said recalling a story her father once told her. About a Hullen warrior with blue eyes and immeasurable power that rivalled the gods. Elie knew that the day she met that man was the day she died. But that legend was hundreds of years ago. Hullen only live for around 100 years so the blue eyed Hullen would be dead.... Yet whenever she tried to put her mind at ease her instincts just continued to make her acknowledge the terrifying possibility. "Oh well. Whatever it is I hope I never have to fight it. I am still shaking and the feeling is already gone. Now then. How about I escort you to the Human Kingdom first and sort things out there. I am very well known all over the island however I am better known as a Human so I did always have a better reputation over there" Liam said while standing up and reaching a hand out to help Elie up. "Then lets begin" Elie said with a smile. Two paths began moving. One starting with The Hero and Demon. The other starting with An old warrior and a foolish Princess. Both paths destined to meet and after that. Not even the gods knew how things would play out. ------------------------------- Authors Note. I had to make this on my phone since work isn''t getting any easier however In a few more days things will be back to normal and I will be able to go over all of my chapters up to now and work on smoothing things out. This chapter was just to carry things over for until I get back to my precious laptop. Also I will not be following both the Demon/Hero and Isabel/Lune at the same time in my upcoming chapters. The story will follow one then after one arc is done for The Demon/Hero I will move over to Isabel/Lune. Also let me know how you liked my introduction arc. I personally think it was a little long but I had to explain what had to be explained before I can move onto the actual story. Enjoy. The Chocolate And A Provert "so.... Can we begin travelling yet?" Elie asked as she was bored out of her mind from waiting since Liam had to play the hero and rebuild the forest. "Gaia Force. Reconstruct" Liam opened his eyes and a bright green light shot out of his chest and collided with the ground. When the ball of energy was fully absorbed into the earth Elie watched as all of their fight was undone in mere moments. "Just how many techniques do you know?" Elie asked remembering that he used assassin techniques and dark magic earlier. He also used Hero techniques and now nature magic. "I can learn any magic or technique as long as it is written down with some detail or I see someone use it multiple times around me. From there I build up my skill at using the technique and make it more efficient over time" Liam said with a smile. "You lucky bastard. How do heroes always get some over powered skill like that" Elie said with a little bit of jealousy since it took her a long time to learn the few techniques she knew. "No that isn''t my hero skill. I am just smart enough to read a book and put things into practice and if someone uses a skill in front of me I can work out how it is used and over time I can mold my Mana to work the same as their for the technique. My hero ability is a dimensional storage" Liam said with a sigh as he reached into a worm hole that appeared when he willed it to and he pulled out a chocolate bar. "Catch" Liam said with a sly smile as he threw the chocolate at Elie. Elie sliced the unsuspecting bar into pieces with one swing of her claws. "Ha. you think a pathetic weapon like that can hurt me?" Elie said with a mocking tone. Liam rested his head in his hand with a groan. "That was a very rare and very expensive FOOD!!!" Liam shouted at Elie as he pointed at the pieces of delicious chocolate. "oh" Elie still didn''t get it. Liam pulled another one out and handed it gently to Elie. "Eat it and then try to keep that ''oh'' reaction" Liam reached into his dimensional storage and pulled out one for himself. The chocolate bar was a very rare item that only a master chef can make. Using rare beans imported from the Desert Lands chiefs can make chocolate for those who have the coin to buy it. Elie grew up in the demon continent where normally if you were to find a brown colour it would be because some other creature fully digested their food and excreted the waste. Because of this Elie thought the taste of the food would be akin to said brown substance that litters the demon continent. However when she took a bite of the light brown food and her face lit up. Elie also felt a strange magic flow through her showing that a master chef made this meal and that she would be buffed for the entire day because of it. "I am unsure if that cute face is worth the price of the chocolate bar. But hey. Not like you get to see the cute side of The Demon every day" Liam laughed at Elie''s expression. Her red skin turned a much deeper shade of red and she sent a blast of energy directly at Liam''s face. Liam could have avoided the attack easily however he was a gentleman pervert. he would be perverted yet always take his punishment. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. "Please don''t say things like I am cute. I am anything but cute. I have smooth skin and curved horns. How could anyone find this cute?" Elie asked angrily. ''Guess she has a self image problem? Just what kind of standard do demonic races have for the word cute'' Liam thought to himself concerned. "Simple. Smooth skin is a virtue here and you have a huge pair of boobs. I have never seen an ass as fine as yours and your horns just increase your cuteness factor" Liam said brutally honestly. Elie seemingly broke for a second after hearing that. "Elie.... ELIE?" Liam backed away slowly from Elie thinking he was going to be hit again. "Pervert" Elie said before turning around and walking in the direction of the human kingdom hoping to reach there some time this month. "Hey. I am a Provert. It isn''t the same as an average pervert. I have attained the legend and reached a whole new level of perversion. I am a professional pervert. Not just an average *COUGH!!*" Liam was halted half way through his dramatic speech by a punch to his gut that made him cough up a bit of blood as he fell to the ground. Standing over his still twitching body was a powerful dark aura that stood as the rage and vengeance of all women as she executed her mission without delay. "I am already regretting asking for your help" Elie said slightly depressed as she walked away leaving Liam to lie there and think about what he has done. It was at this moment that a loud earthquake roared across the land. "Huh. I didn''t think earthquakes were common near central city" Liam managed to say as he checked to make sure nothing was wrong. He couldn''t sense anything bad however he felt something was off with how the earthquake was effecting an area that hasn''t seen earthquakes for thousands of years. Elie felt the earthquake however she had more knowledge on what to watch out for then Liam did. "This is to soon. Why is HE awake?" Elie mumbled to herself. Liam could easily hear however he knew that was a topic where his noes didn''t need to but into. Elie was scared while she said that meaning it is probably not something she is willing to talk about. "... W-wait up. Please?" Liam said after realising Elie was actually leaving him behind and was already breaking off into a jogging pace with no signs of slowing down. Elie even with all her complaining had a smile on her face. Regardless of how short lived she knew it would be. ----------------------------------------- I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I realised the story was a bit serious at this point. I want the characters to have more realistic interaction while they still can. As for that earthquake... Well lets just say there is two paths this story follows so if it isn''t one then its the other :D Old Men And A Long Road Liam and Elie. anything but the purfect combination. In fact they are destined to be the death of each other yet they travel together on the way to the human kingdom. It is a long trip and they travel there mostly without complaint.... Mostly. "Why? We have been walking for a month now. Don''t you humans have teleportation rooms?" Elie asked with a slight tear in her eye as she looks around at the endless forest she found herself in. Snow has piled up to waist hight making the trip ever more annoying for a demon that has lived on a continent that is famous for lakes of lava and volcanic activity. "Well. That sort of magic is saved for nobles. It prevents bandits from having easy access to commit a crime and escape to the other end of the continent. Also note that I highly doubt The Demon would get a free pass to one even if I am there" Liam said as he proceeded through the snow casting some light fire magic to melt the snow in front of him. "But..." Elie continued protesting however she halted once she felt a powerful flow of mana near by. "Hey look. A camp fire" Liam said as he looked up to the sky an saw a thin line of smoke. Elie could feel that in the direction of said smoke was a strong power yet she felt no hostility so didn''t speak up about it. Liam walked towards the camp fire practically dragging Elie along to investigate and when they arrived they saw an old man. Elie felt something was strange about this old man yet said nothing about it. "hmm? Ah so people still come through this forest?" The old man said with a wide grin. He was cooking some fish at his camp fire yet there was no river or lake nearby. The fish were still fresh as well however in this world of magic a sight like this isn''t to uncommon. "Ah, yes, me and my friend here were just passing through and are on our way to the human capital city to speak with the king" Liam said with a smile holding nothing back. Elie gave Liam a quick glare to try and signal not to just let information like that slip yet the old man spoke before they could finish. "Ah. So you are holding your final battle there?" The old man asked with an ominous smile. he wore thick clothing and a large hood so the only thing able to be seen on his face was his smile however he gave off a strange energy that neither of them knew. "...No. we decided to settle thing more diplomatically" Liam said seriously as he let his mana expand and harden around him like a shield. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. "No need to worry. I don''t seek to fight a battle I will never win" The old man said cautiously. Neither side wanted to start a conflict so Liam released his mana back into his mana pool. "Then good day to you sir however we best be going" Elie said noticing that they may have to travel much faster if they don''t want any rumours spreading of The Hero helping The Demon before they spoke with each king. "Yes. You may want to get going quickly Demon. Because your very existence is being hunted down as we speak" The old man said as he looked off to the north. Elie took a moment to understand what the old man meant however she took the warning to heart after realising where he was looking and she calmly accepted her fate. "Come on Liam. We best be going now" Elie said as she dashed off into the distance leaving nothing but a shadow of her each step as she ran. "Hey. Wait up for me" Liam said as he tried to understand what the old man said but he didn''t have all the details so he just shut up and followed Elie through the forest. The old man took off his hood revealing dark black hair and he stood up while cracking his neck. His eyes were glowing a soft blood red with the fired of his eyes looking to the north with the sun burning down on his right. his skin started to break off in the sun and he moved into the shade as he contemplated the events taking place all over the great nations. "So you have finally woken up? Oh proud warrior who lived for so long yet was forgotten so quickly. I hope you can find a place in this new world just like the rest of us" The old man said as he slowly faded away into the shadows and vanished without a trace. ----------------------------- I am sorry that the chapter was both way to short and took so long however as I was copying it and pasting it onto royal road I accidentally deleted it. I will absolutely come back over and make this chapter longer however this is the key parts the chapter was going to mention anyway. You can just ignore it when I re fix up the chapter or you can read it again except with a lot more detail and a little less rushed. Again. I am very sorry and I hope to never make that mistake again. The Past Princess Isabel''s POV You know, When I entered the crystal caves I had assumed to come across a few powerful Hullen warriors however I could never have imagined I would only find one person there. I think he is a Hullen due to his hair but his blue eyes beg to differ. When I first looked into his blue eyes I saw a void. Something felt missing. Fire danced around aimlessly however his expression looked sad. Once we left the cave the calm water and clear sky gave way to a harsh storm. I regretted not bringing a teleportation crystal however Lune just raised a single hand and a short explosion of mana ended the storm and the water glowed a bright blue. I couldn''t help but think that I was in the presence of a god. ''And there was a whole race of these monsters?'' was a scary thought that passed through my head. "So.... Lune. What do you intend to do now?" I asked curiously once he was done talking to himself. "Hmm? Oh I thought I would just take a wander around the continent one last time before I am done" Lune said with a warm smile. "Done with what?" I asked wondering if he will just leave more questions than answers. "You do ask a lot of questions don''t you. I am old you know and there is not place for me any more. Once I have taken a look around to make sure my power is no longer needed I will simply join my race in extinction" Lune said without hesitation. I gave him a look of pity and he simply ignored it. What could cause someone to be like this? This is death we are talking about right? Last time I checked the divine after life was a myth that the gods laid to rest. There is no second chances. Why would he just want that and even plan when it happens? "But that is but my destiny. The path in life I have walked always was a lonely one. What about you? Where does your path take you now?" Lune asked while leaning his head back and looking up into the clear blue sky. "I... I wish to find the Hullen and invite them to the peace festival" I said still hopeful that I will have a chance to find them even though Lune said the chances were small. "Ha. You seek the impossible?" Lune asked making me drop my head slightly upset that he was that set on the race being extinct. "Are you sure its impossible?" I was not about to let go of the possibility. "Impossible? No. I know there is at least one other out there. I can feel the connection however you will not find them. Even if I wanted to. I am not sure I could even face them after what happened" Lune sighed with a pained expression on his face. "It cant be that bad. I am sure they would want to see another of their race" I said reassuringly as I patted him on the back however the moment I did I felt it. Something inside of him. It was an unstable power. I, someone who has proven to never be able to sense power. I felt it. Inside this man was a power beyond any other. Is this a Hullen or a god? "My mistake killed the entire race. I failed. And they will kill me for it" Lune said seriously, I stopped for a second feeling unable to move properly. I was in shock. This person has unbelievable power yet I can only look on in pity. "Lune. I am not sure what happened however it can''t have been that bad. The Hullen were killed by The Demon and the army of demonic beasts. Nothing could have stopped that" I said trying to make him feel better however he just clenched his fist. "I could have. It was my job. I am not supposed to fail. I am always supposed to win. Always there just in time to save the day. I was given the power to save them all yet when it really counted I failed" Lune said angrily. A powerful dense dark blue aura gathered around Lune. His eyes grew a bright shining blue and his hair looked as if it became some form of white crystal. "Lune...." I didn''t know what to say. I don''t know enough about the situation to say anything, do anything. Lune was visibly shaken at the events of the past however I don''t know what to say. Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. "Don''t worry Lune. Nobody expected you to be able to save everyone. You were sealed away in the crystal caves. How could anyone blame you for not being able to save the Hullen?" I asked and Lune looked to calm down slightly. I felt slightly happy that I made him feel better however what he said next made me regret saying a thing. "If you single handedly caused the death of your entire race save one or two. Could you just go up to them and say hi like nothing happened?" Lune asked seriously as he returned to what I can only guess to be normal. I didn''t know how to respond. Having thought about it if I were in that situation I would want nothing more then to curl up into a ball and cry. In fact how is Lune even talking somewhat normally and calmly? Things don''t make sense. "... I guess it is a tough question. I guess a foolish princess wouldn''t be able to answer it" Lune said casually. "Wait a minuet. I am not a foolish princess!!!" I said slightly frustrated "Duly noted foolish princess. However if you have a complaint direct it to the procrastination complaints department and we will deal with it eventually" Lune said with a sly smile "huh?... Hey! That just mea.." I was interrupted at this point due to the ground beneath my feat vanishing and I fell into the water. Well. I fell into the knee deep water but I was caught off guard and got soaked. I looked up to Lune with tears in my eyes and he had a cheeky smile on his face. "Sorry. I didn''t realise that you were still on the water. I will be more careful next time" I could tell that he knew full well I was not on the land just yet because he said that while being stood on water himself. "You! I will get payback for this. ALL OF THIS!!!" I shouted to the old warrior with a smile. He talks like he is really old yet looks and acts like he is closer to my age. Maybe he acts a little more immature? "Wait... next time?" I asked confused and he glanced back at me with a smile... Does he expect me to go around the entire continent with him in my search for Hullen? To be fair it is most likely the safest way to go and he is more knowledgeable on the Hullen then I am so I may as well give it a try. ------------- ???''s POV "Ah... So he has returned. What of The Alpha?" "The Alpha is still dormant. Likely hood is that Lune Davus has forgotten his connection to The Alpha so we should be free to move forwards" "You two are fools. What of the Hero and the Demon. Who won?" "huh? Wait. We examined where the fight took place and there was nothing there. Not even a drop of spilt blood" "WHAT? So are you saying The Demon is still alive?... If she meets with Davus then its all over..." ..... "So... do we move out?" "Not yet. we must first make sure The Hero is alive and find out what happened. The Hero is no good if he is dead" "...." --------------------------------------------- Author''s Notes: I am sorry this took so long to get out. I got into an accident recently and had to spend a few days in the hospital. I Had to take a few days to recover and catch up on work which was a chore since I have a stack of papers on my desk that makes my head hurt just thinking about. I thought I would get this chapter out because my readers probably want to do that "Reading" thing you always do. That or I am procrastinating getting through my mountain of work. Oh well. I hope I wasn''t abandoned from missing the release date I mentally planned and I will hopefully find time to release the next chapter soon. heck Maybe I will release prematurely.... (Sounded much better in my head)...
