《Yami  Desolate- The destroyer (a reincarnation story)》


 prologue the end and the beginning

    1 hour before the beginning of school assembly


    A person wearing an old dusty school uniform in tatters, was heading towards the roof. The person was obviously living in an impoverished or a harsh environment as his body was thin, signs of potential malnourishment however what stood out more was the bruises, cuts, injuries littered across his body. His face having been disfigured when he was young, otherwise it could have been considered quite handsome. Massive scars and gashes was littered across his arms, and on his back. Effectively his entire appearance complimented each other portraying a sad appearance of neglect and abuse. Despite this the person had a clear hope within his dead eyes that has seen the cruelty of the world, a clear goal to protect the one he has always loved, to protect the one person that had extended a helping hand, to protect her from the shadows so she can remain untainted within the light. To protect her from the darkness that surrounds the world.


    ¡°Just a couple of more steps and I will be free¡± thought Yami as he was climbing the stairs towards the roof. ¡°Ouch, that still hurts¡± said Yami as his wounds started to ache painfully, ¡°damn it, it started bleeding again, was the bandage not tight enough¡± as Yami started to nurse his wounds. He kept on walking towards the top of the school the roof, the only place where he could feel free and calm from his problems, ignoring his pain and hunger he manages to reach his destination the roof.


    ¡°i made it finally, man it still hurts but It was worth the pain¡± murmured Yami. As the winds started to blow calmly, the tree''s leaves slowly rustling back and forth, the grass bending over and the breeze whistling through the area. Yami started to immerse himself with the feeling of nature and its  tranquilly, feeling at peace he starts to walk closer and closer to the edge wishing to partake of the view from the top. The moment Yami saw the view, he couldn¡¯t speak breathless all he could do was admire the breathtaking view. ¡°....... wow, thats just¡±.


    Being in a state of complete immersion Yami forget all his problems, and his entire surroundings aside from the breathtaking view of nature and its tranquillity was quickly blotted out, because of that Yami didn¡¯t hear the footsteps coming closer and closer. The door suddenly swung open and a figure emerged from it a person dressed in black, silently crept closer and closer to Yami who was in a meditative state, and without warning pushed him off the edge.


    ¡°what the¡± said Yami as he got pushed off from the rooftop and started to fall, forcibly snapping out of his meditative state. ¡°Who the hell did that¡± yelled Yami with rage as he realised he was going to die only to see a figure dressed in black smiling at him. ¡°YOU¡± said Yami, ¡°that¡¯s right its me, hahahaha with you gone she would finally be free from the filth that stains her and she will be mine, all mine¡± said  the mysterious figure.

    ¡°Never I shall never hand her to people like you who are immersed in darkness,¡± screamed Yami. ¡°Oh but what can you do now, she has noone left to protect her she shall be mine¡± said the figure who was smiling. ¡°No the least I can do is this, with my death I hope to see you in prison¡± said Yami as he was falling faster and faster from the roof top, ¡°HAHAHA who would care about someone like you, the trash of society besides I have connections, HAHAHAHA GOODBYE¡± said the figure with glee in his voice as he left the roof.


    ¡°No I cant let this happen, I have to live somehow¡± thought Yami as he was getting closer and closer to the ground about 2 metres away, he then tried to grapple a nearby tree branch for support  but the only thing he could reach was a small twig that broke instantly, ¡°Damn it, I wish the world and humanity would go and be damned for all of time, who am I kidding I hate the world and humanity cruelty but what I hate the most is my own lack of power ¡± thought Yami as he resigned  himself to his fate.


    As he landed straight onto the pavement a loud crunch, sounded across the area. His malnourished and already injured body didn¡¯t stand a chance, his bones was broken upon impact, his organs crushed and blood profusely bleeding out of him everywhere. Yami knew he was going to die soon and despite his incoming doom that was drawing deadly close. As a crowd started to form around his body a figure of a beautiful female crying heavily and saying words he couldnt hear, appeared in his flickering view that was slowly going into the oblivion, he managed to whisper his lasts words before his death ¡°Im sorry, hikari i cant protect you anymore goodbye my light,¡±.


    The moment his last words was whispered Yami body started to cease its functions and started to die, he had fallen into the oblivion.


    Suddenly Yami who was  in oblivion heard an ethereal voice, that simply said ¡°would you like another chance¡±. Yami didn¡¯t reply clearly already too deep into the void, until the voice once again said something ¡°If you accept, you would be able to meet her again Hikari, and this time you will have power¡±. Hearing the name Hikari stirred Yami into action, despite knowing there will be a catch, he couldn¡¯t refuse the chance as he was unwilling to let his regrets go, filled with determination he simply replied ¡°Yes I accept¡±. The moment on hearing the confirmation the voice said ¡°the contract is complete welcome Yami Desolate the destroyer¡±

 chapter 1 awakening

    In the midst of a forest, a forest completely filled with the natural order of life. a small area hidden deeply within the forest was where life along with nature itself, was peaceful and undisturbed from the ravages of the natural order of survival,


    Within the small area stood trees tall and proud extending its reach towards the sky, having thick trunks and branches with the leaves rustling as the air blows near them. The grass and flowers slowly bending over as the calm breeze passes through them causing them to sway back and forth. With a clear river flowing through it as well as plenty of sunlight shining its rays, the area was an untouched beautiful scenery within a deadly forest containing various monsters, and creatures of power prowling the nearby areas of the forest.


    However there was a small shrine located in the middle of the area, producing a special invisible barrier that doesn''t allow other creatures or monsters to enter without permission , as the shrine belonged to the god of darkness Chaos and is the place where his champions appears into this world after having signed a contract with him. Inside of the shrine was a small pedestal surrounded by some kind of dark inscriptions that links with the pedestal. On top of the pedestal was a small egg with a red and black vein crossing over each other forming an intrinsic pattern similar to the inscriptions surrounding it.


    "Where am i, i cant see anything and yet i can feel, am i covered in darkness?" thought Yami without realizing that he was reincarnated into a new being due to the contract he had signed. As Yami started getting more and more confused as time passed on until a voice appeared in his head.


    "Calm down, Yami desolate my champion or the destroyer" said the ethereal voice, "You have agreed to my contract, by providing you with a new life with power along with the chance to meet Hikari, you have to fulfill my conditions, you are to become my champion also known as the destroyer and you shall face against the champions of light sent from the goddess of light Aselia.


    "To put it simply your mission is to assist the forces of darkness to achieve victory over the forces of light. That is all i require from you but the mission might be harder than you think Yami so be careful my champion, i cannot help you anymore as it goes against the rules of the gods and the world," said the ethereal voice within Yami''s head that started to ache from the implications of his mission and the voice that radiated power that constantly echoed throughout his head.


    "One last thing, although i gave you all the help i can give, there is a special feature that only you have within the id status that is given to all champions an advice option  that will assist you with questions you might have. Remember only you have the special feature, although champions get a more comprehensive id status than the normal races, every life form has a version of an id status,  goodbye my champion Yami the destroyer do not disappoint me."  said the ethereal voice before slowly disappearing into the abyss.

    As the voice disappeared leaving Yami alone in the darkness, Yami made an silent oath. " I swear i shall uphold my side of the contract, as you have uphold your own,". Along with the oath towards the god of darkness Chaos he made another one " No longer shall i be powerless, i swear i will become the pinnacle of power and i will take revenge for the injustice i have faced in my previous life, HAHAHAHA and i shall bring DESTRUCTION."


    "Also i swear i will meet you again Hikari my light that had always illuminated my path,This time  no matter what nothing will stand in my way again of meeting you Hikari my love." thought Yami as he finished making his oaths he decided to open his id status.


    "how am i meant to open it again?" thought Yami as he realized he had no clue, " do i have to think of it lets try it ID STATUS". Upon visualizing the basic concept behind the id status it appeared in his mind.

    A lazy author that only releases first drafts and has bad writing. An author that writes as he goes meaning that he does not plan for anything but has a gist of the direction he wants to take. Its my first time trying a reincarnation  story and something far more simple than my other stories, as this was meant to be a relaxing project as i only write to relax as a hobby. Im not sure if i should take this project up cause it means i would have 3 on going which i do not plan to drop any, although shadow the solo sword master is a pain due to the complex setting i had laid out for it it is the one that i wanted to do the most so, and Mortuis the necromancer is something for fun as well. I would be putting up a poll about this protect although i can improve my writing im too lazy too, even proof read once.

 chapter 2 advice system tables are hard

    "it actually worked, it kinda looks like what people call a status window for games, although i dont know what it is since i have never played one only watched." thought Yami as he was amazed at the visual image of a table within his head.


    "So this id status is meant to portray my approximate abilities and what im capable of?, so basically its describing me through  these numbers?, i think i would need the help of the advice feature implemented in my version." thought Yami as he got more confused as he never played a game but has seen others playing and so has an inkling of what it is about but not exactly sure.


    "Now lets see, advice option activate?" thought Yami as he pushed the table to one side in his mind and using the same method which opened the id status to see if he could open the advice option.

    Before Yami could ask any questions that was weighing his mind about the id staus, his mission and the basic setting of the world in which he is currently in. The advice system showed another message in addition the previous one.

The god chaos has always given the blessing of the power of evolution, weak from the start then strong at the end while the god of light prefers buffing up her champions so they are constant rather than weak at the start.     Yami after reading though the information about the mission absorbing as much as he can, he gave a silent affirmative, as he now had an inkling of what he was up against and the challenges that he would soon face. "It would just be like in earth me against the world but this time I SHALL WIN" thought Yami as he was immersing himself in his rage at the injustice that he has faced. Also he had a feeling that Hikari along with the others would be summoned into his world as his god has said after all he has provided him a CHANCE.


    After some time Yami snapped out of his frenzy of hatred he remembered the questions that was weighing on his mind and his first priority survival after all he is currently weak. " Lucifer describe to me about the id status window aside from  name, gender and the average abilities" even though Yami had an inkling on some of them he wanted a more solid understanding then a guess as it concerned his life.

    better evolutionary paths and the  blessing of darkness, gives the ability max resistance of darkness (anything using darkness cannot harm you unless it is god ranked), the ability to


    control Chaos darkness (the highest form of darkness just below god ranked, chaos own darkness can only be used when your body can endure the power at least s rank).

    After some time, Yami finally comprehended it the information about the id status and what it stands for, comparing it with his basic knowledge he found similarities of it from games with some slight variation making it easier to understand. " I see Lucifer i understand it completely" said Yami although some parts of him was still in confusion with the information overload. Yami started to think deeply about this matter, suddenly Yami felt a ravenous hunger after his mentality went through an overload and his new body hasn''t eaten anything had caused Yami to feel immense hunger, instinctively he started to  punch through the darkness hoping to escape to find nourishment, his claws landed on something and upon contract it created a soft clink.


    Without realizing it Yami had hit the edge of his egg shell, instinctively in his hunger Yami abandoned all reason and started to pummel the material blocking his way entrapping him in darkness, ignoring the pain and wounds he was taking due to his hunger he continued onward, until slowly a crack was forming and it was becoming bigger and bigger, with light seeping though the crack signifying its end, one final hit from Yami made it finally crumble and Yami emerged out from his egg.


    Yami then started to eat his egg shells shards for nourishment ignoring his entire surroundings due to his hunger, upon eating all of his eggshells he was still hungry for more (normally it should be enough but Yami is a special case). In his current state of madness Yami was searching desperately within the light for any forms of nourishment ignoring the warning flashes from Lucifer, he noticed a small creature outside the barrier prowling the area trying to go in with no success.


    Without thinking properly Yami charged towards the small creature that looked like a dark feral fox, but just as he was about to leave the barrier, Yami regained his senses due to the feeling of incoming death that awoken Yami from his immense hunger that had calmed down a bit. Even though he regained his senses his mind was still muddled with a simple demand EAT.


    "EAT, FOOD, EAT" thought Yami as he was slugging his body back to the middle of the small area, as his instinct told him to get back there, The moment Yami reached the middle he collapsed onto the grass completely famished, Yami started to starve as his body was demanding more nourishment as the egg shells was clearly not enough. As Yami lied down on the grass slowly dying from starvation, his head suddenly started to be cleared of all thoughts, they were  completely discarded  including the oppressive demand  of hunger.


    Yami stood up again but this time he went outside the barrier ,his thoughts had a undying determination " I WILL LIVE NO MATTER WHAT I MUST LIVE" and the moment he left the barrier the small creature pounced onto him, But Yami jumped back into the barrier at the last moment to make sure the creature crashed into the barrier, hoping that the barrier would kill the creature as it attempted to go though forcibly, as Yami watched with a prayer the small creature got fried completely by the barrier having its life taken away. Roaring with glee Yami started to go outside the barrier and drag the corspe back into the barrier but the corpse couldn''t get in so Yami had to consume its corpse outside, after some time Yami regained his proper senses after being given enough nourishment he slowly walked back towards the shrine only to rest upon the pedestal. Before entering the sweet abyss of sleep a screen appeared Yami quickly chose an option before turning in.

    im a lazy author that only releases first drafts, and write as i go. im doing this when im tired so the writing may be worse than usual, i still havent decided if i should continue this i will adopt a wait and see attitude towards the project hopefully it will not be as stressful as Shadow.  Right now i am describing the basic setting of the id status, and after taht will be one more chapter about Yami before doing a side story chapter about the others, which includes the entire school and hence Hikari and the person that pushed Yami off to his death.  IF people dont read the author notes this author will be really sad. TABLES ARE HARD enough of an info dump it will come again later,man this is tiring

 chapter 3 transformation

    In the midst of the darkness god Chaos shrine lied a creature on top of the pedestal, slowly transforming as time goes on, his skin shedding and his body growing larger and stronger than before no longer was the creature in its baby state it was now in the next stage child. After one week has passed, the interior of the shrine started to emit a dark glow as the creature finished its transformation and started to wake up.


    The walls inscription along with the creatures started to shine in resonance before quickly disappearing,although now the creatures inscriptions on his body started to become slightly more lustre and even emitting an extremely faint blackish glow.


    The creature itself, appeared to have an humanoid appearance, standing at about 1 m 50 cm with short hair, horns protruding outwards from the sides of his head, having eyes of complete darkness, his face was exactly the same as Yami''s original appearance before his death but this time without being disfigured and slightly enhanced forming a near flawless picture of refined beauty. However his face is hidden behind his natural armour, a scaled dragon figure head was covering his face as if it was a helmet, along with his entire body being covered with rough strong scales of red and black intertwining together into forming the pattern. A strong scaled tail extruding from the back of the creature swishing back and forth, as well as 4 giant wings which was the fusion between the 2 wings the demon and the dragons, creating 4 massive leathery wings with scales covering over it along with 2 dragons heads protruding outwards slightly above the wings. ( keep it in mind that this is for his child form, and that mentally keep the size in proportional and weaken it as he has not matured yet, the demon blood is his humanoid appearance and the dragon blood is the rest).


    The moment the creature woke up he started to rub his eyes, it noticed that it was no longer claws but  scaly fingers. The moment the creature realized the crucial fact, it instantly woke up completely  . " What the this is fingers, although scaly but it is fingers and also i can feel somethings different  about my body and where am i?" thought Yami as he was now fully awake and aware.


    "I guess i can ask Lucifer about what happened and by consulting the id status, but for now i want to observe my surroundings" thought Yami as he made a quick decision. "What the what is this, it appears to be some kind of pedestal and whats with the skin lying around it" thought Yami as he within the shrine and right next to the pedestal he was sleeping on before, piles of skin was shed around the pedestal forming a picture of trash being littered everywhere.


    "Just what happened here?, lets see if i can remember strange why can''t i remember anything yesterday aside from complete darkness and hunger?" pondered Yami as he was still in confusion. "Thats it observing my surrounding can wait i need to consult Lucifer now and quiz him on what happened to me" thought Yami.


    "Lucifer come out i have questions i require the answers to, JUST WHAT HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY" as Yami visualized the advice system and the id status.

    This was when your undying will kicked in without you realizing it Yami you had left the barrier to bait the creature to attack you only for it to hit the barrier and die, this was when you had consumed its body and slowly walked back to the shrine pedestal and slept after having chosen your evolution path.


    After all you had obtained enough nourishment and experience to level yourself up and evolve to the next stage from a baby. After you have seen your changes i would explain about this world and your future goals of direction as you have to leave this area soon.    </td></tr></tbody></table>

I still haven''t decided if i should  continue this project but its leaning towards keeping it,  the next chapter would be a sidestory about the champions of light and their perspective. Im writing this at night so i am tired, i sincerely hope people actually read the author notes.  Anyway since i already released a chapter today this chapter would be shorter or simply not completed.  Side story chapter is next

    Although there are probably more skills such as flight and so on, im not putting it in since i dont want a cluster of skills that will be forgotten and i hate that so to limit that i will limit the skills, although i will put it in eventually as i sort out the skills into passives, actives and etc. so keep in mind that there will be more.

    After reading about his changes Yami decided to test his new  Dramon body''s capabilities, He started to move around the small area, while flexing his new found fingers by doing weird maneuvers that tested its flexibility, and examining the tough scales on his entire body to the best of his ability, by craning his head in a weird position he was able to see the majority of his scales (although he wasn''t able to see the pattern).


    Curious Yami started testing the scale''s hardness by picking up a nearby rock before smashing it against his own arm over and over again before checking the result as he had felt no pain. The rock had caused some slight but negligible damage towards the scales, slightly making a scratch on the scale proving that the scales although its a child''s is still durable enough to not be affected by a common pebble. However the rock itself soon splintered into many shards after being hammered again and again against the scales.


    Afterwards he started to examine his humanoid appearance, noticing that it worked similarly to his old body when he was a kid,  therefore Yami experienced little difficulty controlling this new body in terms of the humanoid features only slightly stumbling a bit due to the other features weighing down the body and the difference between a human and a humanoid shape as there are still some differences between the two different body types.


    After familiarizing himself with the functions that he was accustomed too, Yami started working on analyzing and learning how to control the new limbs, functions and abilities of his new dramon body. Deciding to leave the issue about his scaled dragon figure head and the horns protruding from his head, as he had a feeling that the horns was vital to himself.


    Yami started to examine his tail that was constantly swishing back and forth subconsciously, he tried to maneuver his tail at his will but with little success, every time he tried to move it as his visioned it, the tail mostly just went crazy and just kept bashing the floor by going up and down when Yami attempted a more complex command.  Feeling no pain Yami never noticed the small indent in the floor becoming larger and larger as the tail keeps on getting out of control. He noticed that the only movements he could control with his tail correctly was the most basic of them all, move to the left and the right and up and down.

    Thinking about how its going to be hard having a perfect control over his new limb, Yami contrasted it with like how a baby must learn how to crawl before learning to walk, and so he  decided to work on the tail later an instead leave it up to his instincts to control it. However the moment he decided to do something else his tail started to swing again but this time in a complex maneuver darting back then  thrusting forward, as if it was a spear and then the tail started to swirl around in a circular motion, then it did something else , it was similar to the commands of Yami as he thought on how to use it in battle, but this time  it had a a near perfect motion as Yami''s instincts took over.  (its kinda like how you breathe fine until you are aware of your breathing, its just easier for your instincts/ subconscious to do it, he would later learn it properly of course and it would be better as although the instincts could do it fine, conscious is better overall as you have better control)


    Temporary forgetting about his tail as Yami focused on every mans dreams to soar freely within the sky the wings. Although the wings was in proportional to his current size it was still massive, having 4 wings that protruded outwards from his back, each wing appeared to have both elements of a dragon and a devils wing, having the strong scales and leathery wings that stretched outwards for a fair distance.


    Itching to test it out Yami in his haste  jumped as high as he could before trying to move his wings once in the air commanded the wings to move, as the 4 wings complied with his demands and gave a massive swoosh sound as the wings started to swing, before long Yami started to fly within the skies, fulfilling one of his hidden dreams of soaring freely and unshackled of the chains that binds him to the darkness, without realizing it Yami became impulsive in his excitement  and instead of testing the capability and his control over the wings he decided to go straight for complex maneuvers at high speeds,


    Beating the wings faster and faster as he lifts his child form higher and higher in the air, suddenly he changed directions from going straight up and started to dive downwards at a rapid speed as the wings beating faster and faster along with gravity has caused him to reach a staggering speed for child''s aviation, Yami in his state of excitement of freedom didnt care about his speed and was only wondering about how he could fly, as Yami was constantly preoccupied with his excitement, the ground just came closer and closer soon reaching the range on which Yami will go  splat onto the ground,


    However Yami  noticed just in time to regain his reasoning at the last moment, as he recalled his previous death from falling off the roof after being pushed, and without realizing it Yami has attempted to change thrust to an upward forward direction, but it was too late as Yami had little control over his wings the only thing he could have done was slow down the speed by moving forward despite him beating his wings furiously which was trying to fly upwards.


    As Yami did the best he could to slow down the impact, he soon crashed onto the grass albeit at a much slower pace but neverless still caused him pain, both physically and mentally. As the impact although weakened still damaged a bit of his scales and body although it caused little physical damage to Yami''s body the mental damage was not so small, it brought up the memories of his death and suddenly his dark side overflowed from him. His regrets, and despair at the cruelty of the world along with the darkness within every being has surfaced once again with the impact, causing Yami to become a bit depraved along with the sudden influx of darkness aura surrounding his body, as he stood still reminiscing about the darkness that he has faced his entire life and how there is no longer the light nearby to guide him within the darkness, The aura thickened, Yami''s progression had started and slowly but surely he was sinking into the pit of malice, the pit of despair, the path of the destroyer. Little did he know that he was unlocking a dark evolution, and skill one of massive power but also one of chaos.


    However his immersion was cut short as a message forcibly wormed its way though into his head bypassing the subconscious barriers that Yami had put up, Yami surprised started to read the message and in the process  completely forgetting the darkness that was on his mind a while ago, and slowly the aura dissipated but not all of it was gone, His eyes was radiating pure darkness and chaos the first step towards his path.

    I have suffering from depression and anxiety the sole reason why i havent been releasing much chapters and why its worse than usual.

 not a chapter but more of an explanation

    the reason why i haven''t been writing much chapters anymore, is simply because of laziness and also depression and anxiety. there would be much slower releases than before.


    The rough idea for this chapter or future chapter


    the setting of the world, then the battle then the side story.  hopefully the setting and battle would be in the same chapter depends i guess. But i would do a sidestory very soon as i need to introduce the rest including the person who pushed him off.


    also his a little teaser of what the next chapter would be about be warned that some parts of this will be changed to fit, the previous context of writing as i simply wrote this for fun.


    We are running short on time so I will be quite brief.

    This world is commonly known as Aertna to all the current races, according to the information we have gathered so far , it has 1 main giant continent with many other sub  smaller continents and islands surrounding it, however this could be outdated due to the landscape changing, as well as the places your predecessors still haven''t explored yet. Enough of this we are short on time so lets move on to something more beneficial to your current state you are currently in the forest of darkness and death. I will give a brief information about this as time is running dangerously short.


    Forest of darkness and death- Located in the main continent, it covers a vast area of land however since the database doesnt have the exact numbers as well as the fact it could be outdated it is best to leave it ambiguous for now.


    It is home to the shrine of the darkness god Chaos, and also to various monsters of boundless strength having a system in which the more you head towards the center the stronger the monsters become with some few exceptions as the center contains the best and most of the treasures as well as the thickest area in which power gathers towards as if its attracted by something.


    The shrine was meant to be placed near the center or be the center however it was decided against as it would be too unfair to the newly champions as they would have to face creatures of S rank and beyond just for being in the center. Instead the shrine is placed near the beginning the area of the e ranks. Still dangerous to the new champion but much more bearable and a valuable lesson to the champions as they are the underdogs, they start weak and must claw their way up thorough the way of survival, the way of life.

    Yami was speechless when the message appeared in his vision as well as being able to hear the message, unable to even speak at his disbelief about the contents of the message. It was similar to leaving a child whose hands was tied to fend for himself in the wildness all alone and having to face a mighty opponent while being handicapped many times.


    "Now i could see how my predecessors have died early," grumbled Yami as he left the barrier silently. "I mean how am i meant to fulfill the mission in this situation, let alone my oaths and desires, Oh well its not like i havent faced this situation before when the odds are stacked against me" thought Yami as he stopped just outside the barrier.


    "Time to be serious now" murmured Yami, as he started to become serious his old habits surfaced again, fully awake and alert for danger while subconsciously releasing his killing intent Yami was ready to head towards his desires and oaths the path of the destroyer.


    Completely ready Yami started to fly having already tested his wings the flight was slightly easier

    A lazy author that only releases first drafts, im currently writing this when my MIND IS IN A FOG.


    i havent been writing much because of my depression and anxiety as well as being lazy. The world setting is giving me a hard time as i really dont want to have any holes but its becoming too complex which is not the point of this story so im just going with whatever.


    Anyway depending on the length of the chapter it would include or not include the battle, after a few more chapters about Yami i would then start to go and focus more on the other champions of light. As well as clearing some matters about the setting that might be unclear within the champions of light chapters these include power comparing (so you would know that the numbers actually mean something and not just that for show). And i might do a very simple map far latter to help clarify the geography as well as the universal currency system and etc.i will try to make sure it works and doesnt get broken because of this and that.  (this is becoming more and more complex this is not good news since this was meant to be not complex or well). Basically the setting will be done in the side story''s of the other champions and same for Yami.


    If i dont do the battle in this chapter, i might do it today or tomorrow.

 rough idea for Yamis backstory

    This is a rough idea for Yami''s backstory that i thought up on the spot randomly, this will effect his personality of course and will probably explain some latter actions. This is extremely rough and when i do the flashbacks and stuff some parts may be changed .


    Yamis backstory rough idea


    Amidst the sea of red and flames stood a lone survivor slathered  with the blood of many on his entire body, with only slight burns and injuries was a young child one of the few that survived the disaster. Having lost his friends, classmates and even his last remaining member of his family in front of his eyes that all died one by one through various means, through the terrible disaster, the sea of flames or even at humans hands that desperately tried to survive or became instead which caused them do drastic measures. Having only survived due to his only remaining relative alive at the cost of her life, his older sister having resorted to drastic measures within the disaster to try and survive at all costs along with her younger brother having even resorted to killing.


    She was the pillar of mental support for Yami at the time who was called a cursed child that brings death, by his surroundings especially his father having killed his mother when he was conceived, and later on people who he knew started to die mysteriously his neighbours, his friends and etc..  Eventually with time he was treated as the cursed demon child within his home town, causing him to lose hope within life and thinking about suicide and death, as he suffered from bullying from his surroundings including the adults, neglect from his father who frequently beats the crap out of him and when he stops the beating he just plain outright neglects Yami. The only one that stuck by his side and gave him support was his older sister she never treated him like a cursed child but rather a blessed one. But because of her actions she was thought to be dealing with the devil and so was treated harshly as well but she never gave up and always smiled. Until the day when his father came home dead drunk drinking his sorrows away on his dead wifes anniversary he couldnt handle the pain anymore and died. His cause of death was thought to be suicide as he was found hanged but the truth was different he died from the hands of ¡­.. Although people thought that he couldnt handle it anymore the pain that he has faced but neverless they still blamed Yami but was they right?.

    Later during the year Yami and his older sister was put in a government funded orphanage for special cases, in which they were far away from their problems of their hometown. The orphanage was an institution and so they help treat the mental problems and physical problems of the children or teenagers even some adults. As the treatment went under way Yami was seen to show signs of improvement from his lifeless state to ones of normal children until the disaster happened not long afterwards.


    Being one of the few survivors left from the disaster and at the cost of his mental support his older sister he had a mental breakdown. He started to see the world as it is the real world the cruel reality of society and the fate that is bestowed upon the weak. He started to become more and more deranged in which he no longer cared about the title Cursed child/demon child instead he started to embrace the darkness within, he became a person obsessed with survival as his sister told him to live on and find a happy life, but most of all he became obsessed with vengeance and truth.


    He latter was adopted by an underground organisation that seeked out viable candidates to become an assassin or their pawn. They were lurking for the survivors of the disaster as the incident would have already done part of the work for them, to change their personality wouldnt require much effort due to the disaster. Since they were already broken or was suited already. As Yami was taught by the organisation under harsh measure of survival of the fitness, and one shot one kill meaning you have only one chance failure equals death.


    and i got too lazy to continue thsi rough idea so it will become more brief,


    years later Yami had defected from the organsitation due to an event. During this time period Yami met Hikari.

    i havent been writing lately as i havent been bothered to actually write as i have to lay out the ground work before i can do the stuff i really want to do but that makes me lose enthusiasm a bit so.... Anyway i would probably start writing soon.

 chapter 6

    ¡°Arghh!¡± a slight gasp of pain escaped from a figure as it collapsed onto the grassy plains no longer able to continue its plight as its wings could no longer move.


    Thump the figure had created a dent in the grassy plains, as it landed chunks of dirt and grass flew in the air due to the impact before coming back down only to meet the same fate of the surrounding grass, which had started to become stained by dark crimson, soon afterwards it started to wither away into nothingness leaving behind a blackened mess of what once it used to be lively flora.


    A small area around the figure started to quickly follow suit and also withered away into nothingness, only leaving behind the blackened remains and the earth. The small area slowly started to become a small area of death and decay, a wasteland within a lush area filled with vitality and life. The small area had the stench of pure darkness and that was the sole reason for its state as it was corrupted by the darkness within the crimson liquid pouring profusely from the collapsed figure.


    The figure was covered completely in massive wounds littered all across its body. Its proud wings having been punctured straight through with the scales having been dented or destroyed, its tail having been put through hell was completely dented and just hanged limply with its scales completely dented. The figure''s entire body with the exception of the area near the head was completely covered in wounds and gashes, leaving many scales in need of healing and areas where the scale simply was torn clean off showing a raw colour of deep crimson. The only place that seemed to be fine was the head area in which the only visible injury was the dragon figure head having been completely destroyed with only half of it remaining intact along.


    As the blood was profusely bleeding out from the many wounds and gashes that struck the body, like a never ending stream the blood had created a puddle around the figure and effectively an area of death and decay. A soft thump was heard as the figure no longer had the energy to continue holding onto its prize. The thing that fell was 2 monsters, the monsters was no longer recognizable as , one being charred to bits and the other was barely intact after being cut clean open and ripped to shreds.


    i must live on I cant die here like this, especially after surviving that ordeal, I must live on, I MUST LIVE ON !, thought Yami as he was lying within a puddle of his own blood. Move body move MOVE ! I have many oaths to fulfill and I will not die here not now. But Yami couldn¡¯t move no matter how hard he tried his body was at its limits and near death.

    im back from the dead with the lazy ass writing. its not completed but its close i will do the battle the one after this chapter or in this chapter a couple more chapters before the side stories of hikari and the rest.

 rough future characters? part 1

    i want to see which people prefer to see first. theses will be rough bare minimum description to the characters before i start putting in depth into them.  remember things can change. Be aware that the stronger you are the longer you live. so not being in active duty means they are focusing on training rather than fighting.


    there will be lots of mistakes and broken sentences in this as im not bothered to fix it up. as im lazy and this is merely a rough draft of it.


    forces of light (meaning they are considered humans, races that are under the goddess of light.)


    the adventurers  / mercenary group crimson wings a large group that was started by eins grandfather, originally 1 small town but since their town was attacked and burnt to the ground by the forces of darkness they are now the crimson wings.  they are considered a mid level strength group but only barely as only the top of the group is mid level tier, with the rest being of low tier and in need of training.  there isnt much of the top left as they died in active duty.


    ein (tentative name)- a young mercenary/adventurer group leader that was given the reigns after his father had died, talented in fighting  and leading but a failure in management. in charge of 500+ active duty people all at a decent rank of strength. age could be around from 16 to 25. Wields a giant blade along with strengthening magic. class magic swordsman apprentice ,quite mild mannered until angered or in battle. wild aura. in love with serene but doesnt have the balls to admit it. also learning elemental magic,


    serene (tentative name)- works for ein, a childhood friend of ein fairly pretty with an innocent demeanor but is actually quite ruthless. skilled in management and healing magic. in love with ein and knows that he likes her but is waiting for the day that he would come out with it by himself.  she is not skilled in fighting, class healer apprentice, quartermaster apprentice  same age as ein.


    marcus (tentative name)- the trainer of the group, a friend of eins late father. married to isadora. rough battle scarred look, strict with discipline, skilled in warfare and training, currently not in active duty (meaning he doesnt participate in battles anymore unless necessary). age 50 +. has 3 children, he is the father of serene, lugh,. class trainer, previously class magic swordmaster. he trains the members of the group in giant blades, swords and strengthening magic.

    lugh- son to marcus and isadora, a great friend to ein and serves as the older brother figure to ein and serene, he follows afters his mother having good looks as well as her class mage knight. class mage knight (he passed his mage knight training recently). a sub leader in the group in charge of a squad consisting of mounted units.specializing in fire and lighting magic.  knows of the relation sip between his sister and ein, supports them. Highly protective of his family. age 3 years older than serene and ein.


    yodel- the trainer and quartermaster  of the group, skilled in healing arts and management, a friend of eins late father, a widower, with one son klein. class quartermaster, healer. age 50+, looks like a holy sage. not in active duty


    klein -the son of yodel, takes after his father and so has a frail appearance contrary to his actual abilities, the same age as lugh and best friends with him, like lugh he commands a squad of non mounted ranged units, excluding mages. specializing in the bow and arrow along with siege weaponry.


    pent- the strongest member of the group and adviser to ein.,  an old sage that owes a favor to eins father, he is also eins great great grandfather from his mother side but noone actually knows this, ages is 500+, not much is known about pent aside from the fact that he joined the mysteriously, and only teaches his apprentice and ein.. he came with an apprentice that teaches the rookies. Specializing in all fields of magics a balanced elemental mage, rare and powerful the only top tier expert in the group (no one knows aside from the apprentice they think he is mid tier). class archmage.


    pents apprentice- noone knows his name or look aside from pent, age 50+ he teaches the rookies in magic, shrouded in mysterious and darkness. class sage.

 chapter 7 (this is not the battle)

    Rustle rustle, the bushes started to move slowly one at a time. only a slight sound escaped as they were being carefully moved out of the way. A figure was seen slowly emerging from the bushes edging slightly closer and closer with his every move, silently moving without a sound aside from the soft rustlings of the flora as they were being moved.


    As the figure neared the collapsed figure of yami he started to take even more care with his movements, being mindful of the small perimeter of Yami''s zone of corruption. Unwilling to get caught up with it after witnessing first hand of the effects as it corrdered not only the land but also the monsters that Yami was fighting a moment ago.


    Finally the figure stopped moving as he was right next to yami and his zone of corruption, quickly the figure bent over and picked up the 2 monster corpses before bolting out of the area, as to avoid the corruption which had already encroached onto the figures boots turning it into mush.


    As the figure was fleeing in a rush with his booty leaving behind his boots and in his haste and excitement he fell over a vine that appeared magically out of nowhere and was sent sprawling all over the ground. Causing him to drop his ill gotten goods onto the grass, in his frustration at his own carelessness he quickly gathered up the monsters corpses and was attempting to rise only to see his companion, his sister.


    "Sister look i got something we could eat, its a rank e- or even higher!!!!, even if its burnt or ripped it will still provide us with alot of energy and power." said the figure as he was showing his goods,


    "You fool, do you think i will believe you killed them no i was there with you at the fight but you never even realized did you !!!!. "shouted the figures sister as she stood over him with a face filled with anger.


    "we may be weak, we may be discarded. we may be alone but we will never lose the morals that our village had ingrained in us !!!. We must never leave behind a fellow demi/ halfing of the darkness"

    "Fine .....,  but make sure you do it with your magic as if you touch him you will die,"


    "i know i know, but lets make haste quick the last time isaw him was when he was battling the monsters by himself he must be near death"


    As the 2 figures made up their mind they quickly rushed back to where Yami had collapsed, as they were moving the sister and the brother started to remember the fierce battle that had just occurred.


    Hours before Yamis collaspes.

    this is the chapter of the battle, which i would do later, i am a lazy author that writes without editing and only on the spot. btw the previous chapter was finished it shows the newly updated id status for him currently.


    this would be one of my first times doing a battle scene, so it might not be good when i do it.

 A question

    Should i finish up the battle for yami and then afterwards wrap it up as book 1, then transition into book 2 for hikari and the others. Or should i do Hikari first then the battle? Since Hikari arcs would be the explaining arc behind some of the concepts of this world, since the forces of light will explain to them what they has discovered through the years while yami still doesnt have the ai to help him yet as he is not clear from the forest.  side story 1 Rewrite part 1

    Hi this is Lucifer and let me tell you the story of the first champion of darkness, who was brave, courageous and noble, who fought against all odds to save the world only to destroy it at the end. This is the story of my father who had always called himself Rewrite as if he wished that he could change his actions through his power of Rewrite. He was the savior of the world and yet also the destroyer, but most of all he was but a tortured man entrusted with power and the truth about the world.     In the middle of the forest of death, where none could enter but the chosen s ones was a tomb. A tomb that had lasted throughout the ages never decaying, never changing just as if time itself has stopped. The eternal tomb belonged to the very first champion of darkness Rewrite and within the tomb was a small sapling intertwined together with a coffin.

    I just felt like writing this for fun, as im not bothered to do the battle yet. i would probably only go back to this for fun or when Yami had reached at least s rank plus.


    I''m a lazy author that writes as i go, releases chapters without editing or readovers, and no planning ahead. This is a side story about the side of darkness, i would also do one on the so called official story that has mades its mark as a legend for the forces of light having twisted the truth to the point of stating the complete opposite. this will show itself at a far later date when yami becomes far stronger than he is now. thinking at least s rank and plus.

 chapter 8

    In the outskirts of the forest a young being was making its way across at a slow but safe speed carefully avoiding the dangers that lurk in the forests as well as foraging for supplies.


    In his wake he left a small unnoticeable trail of blood and death as he occasionally killed the monsters that crossed his path for food, by always singling out the monsters that he can kill at the same time testing out his new found body and the capabilities of his new found abilities.


    Where is the exit to this place, i have been wandering for days on end and yet i cannot see the end to this path. No matter how far i go i am always greeted with the exact same thing over and over again trees upon trees along with the vibrant life of flora and fauna, thought Yami as he was slowly making his way across the forest in small silent steps. carefully brushing aside the vines in his way without a sound.


    After some time of stealthily walking across the forest, Yami started to second guess himself, having seen the same sight over and over again without realizing it that it was merely a small part of the magnitude of what the forest truly is.


    Is this even the right way out of this forest, i mean i thought i went past this place a day ago  ....., nah theres no sign of my symbol on the tree anyway, thought Yami as he closely inspected the tree that he thought he passed a day ago.


    This way is probably the correct way out after all i noticed that the monsters within this area is getting weaker and weaker, i could be wrong though, but as time continued and days passed Yami started to become inpatient.


    should i  just start flying high, or increase my pace of moving .... no that would be stupid remember one shot one kill, there is only one life, i wouldnt want to attract attention in this forsaken forest after all wasnt it the forest of darkness and death. It doesnt hurt to play safe especially in a place like this after all im still as weak as ever just a child...


    Although this child was able to kill the monsters lurking in this area, granted that it was usually one at a time and with a sneak attack but never less an impressive feat for a young child to defeat e- ranks while being at f+ rank.


    A total of 3 weeks and 2 days has passed Yami was reaching ever so close to the edge of the forest, but suddenly Yami stopped in his tracks, his instincts warning him of danger.


    Something is amiss i dont know but i have a bad feeling about this, my instincts was usually correct in the past so  i should probably turn back at this point and find a safe place to hide for a while , but what about all my progress ....  i have to take risks sometimes as people say no risk no reward ..  Having made up his mind Yami continued on through the forest although at an even slower pace than before,, only advancing when he thought the coast was clear.


    thump, thump THUMP whats that sound, it sounds like multiple footsteps ... and it sounds like its heading towards my location, i have to hide quick. Yami started to slowly fly on top of a tree avoiding the vines that hanged loosely and the branches of the tree.

    I guess this would have to do, at least i can see whats happening. thought Yami as he was currently lying down on top of the tree.


    thump, THUMP, THUMP , as the sounds got louder and louder with each passing moments Yami finally spotted the commotion.


    Shit, its a horde of monsters what are they doing here, i thought i was near the end of the forest or at least in the f ranks area why is there e ranks here and most of all why is there so many monsters thought Yami, as he spotted types of monsters he had killed before in his journey.


    Pondering on the reason as to why the monster horde was coming towards his position and was in a hurry, however everything clicked in place when Yami saw multiple people running away from the horde.


    Its those people fault they must have attracted the monsters attention and wrath, they probably did something stupid by the looks of them, since they seem to be amateurs judging from the way they move and their equipment .


    I mean do they seriously think they can outrun monsters like that especially if they are weighed down by their gear. the best solution would be to find a good location to hold your ground and fight back as they would eventually fall one by one if this keeps up, they wouldnt even be able to fight back.


    Well i guess they get what they deserve for overestimating themselves and not being careful enough, thought Yami as he was watching this from his position on top of the tree.


    With each passing moment the monsters slowly started to catch up with the human party, as the party could no longer keep up their pace of escaping. Then it happened one of the members of the party has fallen down, tripping over a rock and in his haste to get up quickly he had entrapped himself.


    Unable to move the trapped member, quickly cried for help with tears in his eyes as he can witness the incoming doom approaching rapidly, the teammates hesitated and stopped in their tracks, which happened  due to their inexperience and naivety, they wondered should they come back and help their fallen member or should they keep fleeing.


    However that hesitation cost them dearly as the monsters was even closer and was now within attacking range. Having no choice remaining, they were forced to stand their ground din an unfavorable position one where they could easily get overrun, the grassy plains within the forest the borderline of the f ranks and the e ranks.


    However at that very moment Yami felt a chill run down his spine as suddenly he could see a pair of monster eyes looking straight towards him as if to say i can see you.

    this is the chapter with the battle, the group is not the future characters group but rather a naive adventure group that bit off more they can chew. no Yami would not help them out of the goodness of his heart but rahter for his own means, and like yami the brother and sister duo was nearby.


    Lazy writer here. i got lazy a bit at the end i would change a bit of it when i finsh this chapter later.

 chapter 9 not completed

    Was i spotted! thought Yami, as he was observing the situation and coincidentally his eyes met with a monster, however the moment yami blinked he couldn''t see the pair of eyes fixated on him any more.


    i swear for a moment there i could see a pair of eyes locked onto me, eyes similar to my own, the eyes of a hunter and its prey the eyes of hidden killing intent.


    Did i imagine it no, i know it saw me but i dont recognize that monster, i have hunted down numerous e- ranks and  discovered many other monsters races but i have never seen that monster or its race so far in my travels.


    Wait i have seen something similar to it before it, if i can recall it was when i was first beginning my travel  across this accursed forest, thought yami as he started to recall his experiences and without realizing it his body started to shake uncontrollably and the aura of darkness has once again started to surround him as the emotions from the past flooded through him a raging torrent consisting of many things, but mostly hatred  and helplessness.


    It was the second time that i had felt actual fear of death and helplessness a feeling that has always haunted me before i met Hikari  a feeling that i promised to myself never again would  i let this happen to me.


    But yet it happened, no matter how fast i attempted to flee or hide from the monster it would be for nothing, the monster would always find me with ease  as if it was but a game to him, eventually i had enough i couldnt handle the feeling anymore, i just stood still waiting for the monster and i would show him my undying will but it never came, it just magically disappeared without a trace, it was at this moment it my emotions erupted and i soon found myself in a pool of blood wielding a sword covered in flames.

    But i would never forget what the monster looked like one day i would get my revenge, the monster that had a humanoid appearance, with dull purple skin and 2 horns protruding outwards from his head, wearing that accursed equipment covering his arms and legs but leaving his chest bare, those reptilian eyes along with strange markings on his chest and face, his hoofed footprints and his short purple silver hair.


    However the monster whom i had eye constant with was different, the only thing that it has in common was its weapon, hoofed feet and the markings although the weapon is worse and it only had one marking on his chest.


    hmm this could be that this monster is far weaker and could belong to a similar race but is a weaker version this means i can release my frustration on it yes i must kill it IT MUST DIE.


    Without warning Yami started to fly in the air, not caring that it alerted his position to the monster horde, suddenly a giant sword started to be formed.
