《Dormant Beings (Tower of Eternity)》 Chapter - 1 Surrounded by a pile of dead, rotting flesh he smiles. His childish innocent smile was extremely cute and gleeful, but it the context it seemed sinister and baleful. His tiny body, with a sword covered in blood dragging behind him, he walked, stepping over the pile of dead like trash. He let out a slight yawn, and a bored expression emerged on his face, as if nothing in this world was fun anymore. Suddenly multiple shadows shot down from the skies. Each and every single one of them was dressed in either a silver or white armor. Raising their weapons, all of them charged at the small child. None of them revealed surprised expression, as they charged at a child. If others knew they would at these grown-ass men, charging at a small child. Seeing this the child let out another innocent smile. Suddenly the bloody sword, struck out, instantly severing the head of one of the silvered armored men. Seeing this the others couldn¡¯t help but have fear overtake them. Regardless of their fears, they still charged forth. The child seemed like a demon god, slaying one after another. The torrent of blood, gushed forth from every single one of their heads. The skies were raining severed human heads, in this battle field. The sword which seemed completely out of place in the hands of this child, suddenly fit in, almost as if swords were made to be wielded by this child. Just as the child was about to take another like, the ground below him started to glow. Looking down the child, saw a pentagram. Seeing this, a small frown emerged on the face of the child. He quickly tried to maneuver his way out of the pentagram, but it was no use. The light from the pentagram shot up in to the skies, forming a light barrier, trapping the child within its confine. A man dressed in grey robe appeared in front of the trapped child. With a sarcastic smile on his face he spoke. ¡°Hmph, although it cost us a bunch of soldiers we have finally succeeded. We can finally activate the resurrection pool. I¡¯ve waited for a millennium for this fateful day. Men remember today is the day we make history. Bring the catalyst to the capital. I lack the sufficient equipment to proceed here, so we¡¯ll have to shift it there.¡± As the man finished speaking he looked at the child. The child simply stared at the sky, and continued to smile, completely ignoring the grey robed man. Seeing this the grey robed man couldn¡¯t help but have rage swell up within him. He had been preparing for this day for the past thousand years, and he was not about to let the ignorance of a child ruin the mood. The light barrier, started shrinking, and eventually became a thick golden-white chain, and started wrapping around the boy. ¡°Don¡¯t even dream of breaking out from that binding, even if a God wished to break free, it wouldn¡¯t be possible. I¡¯ve been saving it for just this day.¡± Smirked the grey robed man, as he mocked the child. The child continued smiling, with blood all over his cloths. Not his blood, but the blood of the fallen. ¡°Oh god, just shut that child up.¡± Shouted the grey robed man, to the armored men. Quickly the armored men threw the child into a small jail cell, and began carrying it to the capital. Suddenly the child started laughing, hysterically. ¡°Hahahahaahahaahahahahh¡± It was a childish laughter that sounded very cute. ¡°How very amusing.¡± Spoke the child to himself, as he licked his lips. Chapter 2 Year 9989, of the Eterna Calendar. The city of Dervis, was blooming with activity. Various merchants sold different goods. Street vendors took up every possible open space in the city. The sun shone brightly, on the folks of this small yet beautiful city. Various kids would often run by, with their mothers or fathers chasing behind them. Two middle aged men dressed in casual cloths simply walked by. Although their clothing didn¡¯t represent their power, their naturally prideful air contradicted their clothing. The naturally blended into to the crowds with their peasant clothing. ¡°General Gareth, found them?¡± Asked a short man, with brown hair. Although he was short compared to the other man, the man was around 175cms tall, with a strong build and a handsome face. ¡°Ahh, I knew I shouldn¡¯t have let you come on this mission, you annoying little fuck.¡± Sighed the tall, handsome man, named Gareth. ¡°No Royce, I¡¯ve found them. If found them, why in the world would we still be walking around?¡± ¡°Alright, alright man. I know you¡¯ve been trying to find them for a while. You seem like you¡¯re going through your periods.¡± Chuckled Royce, ignoring is partner¡¯s gloomy expression. A ting spark flashed across Gareth¡¯s right hand. Like a sword his hand moved extremely fast at Royce, but just before the impact Gareth felt something. A signal, from his mental sense. He immediately pulled back his attack. ¡°Hmm, you¡¯re saved. Anyway, we got a signal. Their hideout is below, just a kilometer ahead.¡± After wiping a fearful expression of his face, Royce finally calmed down from his initial shock. ¡°Huh.¡± ¡°I¡¯m guessing it¡¯s some kind of an underground basement gang thingies.¡± Spoke Royce, as his eyes lit up. ¡°Calm down, you can get too excited. That may end up being the death of you. A calm and serene mind is the basis of all victories, but of course expecting it from you is expecting a baby to never cry. It¡¯s pointless.¡± Sighed Gareth. ¡°Regardless of my presence I expect you to be careful. Death is always right around the corner. If an expert of my level shows up, you¡¯ll be wide open.¡± ¡°¡¡I understand¡¡¡± Spoke, Royce, abandoning his childlike nature. ¡°Good.¡± Spoke Gareth in a hushed tone. Right now the two of them were standing right above the basement. ¡°3¡2¡1¡± Whispered Gareth. On 1, an illusion of a huge and might red sword began congealing behind Gareth. The red was released a sinister aura, and the dragon head on the hilt, let out an echoing roar. The mighty red sword was almost 60-70 meters long. Gareth, swiped his hand downward, in a lazy manner. The gigantic sword immediately began to sink with great momentum. *BOOM* The descent of the sword cause miniature earthquakes and tremors. The trees and lakes shook. The birds flying above quickly sped in a different direction. The power of the sword was so much that even extremely weak creature could sense its battle aura. The sword sank directly in the center of the underground lair. The sword stopped piercing through, once the hilt hit the ground. Gareth once again spoke, in a lazy manner. ¡°Ignition.¡± The sword embedded into the underground base, suddenly erupted into flames. The sea of flames produced by the sword, engulfed the entire base, killing almost every single person present there. A complete massacre, with inly the remains of the ashes of the dead people. *BOOM* The brownish-black ground, began to turn red. All the grass on the ground was immediately reduced to ashes. The winds immediately turned in hot searing winds that would burn of a normal person¡¯s face. Even Royce had to take a couple of steps back from this display of powers. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. He silently thought, remembering his General¡¯s words. ¡®An expert on my level.¡¯ ¡°My ass. As if a normal human could compete with a monster like you.¡± It was like he was staring at an ancient monster. The brownish-black ground, turned completely red from the searing flames of the sword, and erupted outward, alongside a wave of immense magical powers. ¡°See Royce, that¡¯s how you make an entrance.¡± Laughed Gareth. ¡°What the hell do you mean by an entrance? I¡¯m almost a 100% sure that you already killed every single person down there. You left me none.¡± Retorted Royce. While Royce was sulking, a figure shot out of the ground. It was a middle aged man dressed in a grey robe. ¡°WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?¡± He shout in rage. ¡°YOU RUINED MY ENTIRE LIFE¡¯S WORK.¡± Grinding his teeth the grey robed man spoke. ¡°I WILL SPILL YOUR BLOOD, YOU MOHERFUCKERS.¡± A white pentagram appeared under Gareth¡¯s feet. The dull white glow alongside a massive release of magical power, the pentagram exploded upward. ¡°General, it¡¯s a ¡®White Mage¡¯.¡± Royce shouted quickly in panic. ¡°Calm the fuck down you idiot.¡± Gareth, responded in a calm tone with a small smile. ¡°Like a barrier of this level could trap.¡± A red spark flashed across Gareth¡¯s hand. With a swift wave of his hand, the light barrier shattered into countless fragments of light. Seeing this the grey robed man panicked. He quickly began gathered light mana. Five orbs of light quickly appeared by his side. ¡°Heavenly Orbs.¡± The five orbs shot towards Gareth. Gareth looked down on the grey robed man and his five orbs of light, with contempt and arrogance. With a snap of his fingers, five orbs of flames appeared by Gareth¡¯s side. With a quick gesture of his hand, the five orbs of flames shot towards the orbs of light. *BOOM* The five robs of flames clashed with the five orbs of light. The battle was completely in Gareth¡¯s favor. The orbs of flame quickly devoured the orbs of light. Gareth was too dominating!! Royce could barely keep up with this level of battle, but he wasn¡¯t even slightly scared. After hanging around with General Gareth for decades, very few things surprised him. The grey robed man furrowed his brows and then shouted. ¡°DON¡¯T LOOK DOWN ON ME YOU FILTHY PIG.¡± His eyes turned red from rage. Mana once again gathered around the grey robed man. The mana quickly congealed in a white lance, almost 50 meters long. ¡°Radiant Lance¡± The white lance split the air like it was tofu, as it shot towards Gareth. Seeing the white lance, Gareth simply snorted in arrogance. The gigantic red sword appeared in front of him, with once flat side facing him and the other flat side facing the white lance. ¡®Using his sword for defense, just how much does this man underestimate me?¡¯ Thought the grey robed man. *BOOM* The white lance pierced towards the gigantic sword. The moment it came in contact with the great red sword, the lance shattered into countless fragments of white light. ¡°What??? How is that possible?¡± Shouted the grey robed man in surprise. Gareth then spoke in a lazy tone. ¡°I guess I overestimated this idiot. No wait I¡¯m the idiot to think that other than those five any others could even match my strength.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t underestimate me.¡± Shouted the grey robed man. With a few words he quickly raised his hands high into the air. ¡°Heavenly Descent¡± Chapter 3 A gigantic white orbs appeared in the skies, right above Gareth. Gareth had a disappointed expression all this while, but upon seeing the huge white orbs in the sky a small smile emerged on his face. ¡°DIEEEE!!!!!¡± Shouted the grey robed man, as he gestured for the orb to descent. The gigantic downward facing sword, turned. The tip of the great red sword now face the almighty skies. ¡°Raging Ignition.¡± Shouted Gareth, with a wild laughter. ¡°HAHAHAAHAHA, that what I¡¯m talking about.¡± The tip alongside the entire body of the great red sword, erupted into a wild scarlet flame. ¡°Pierce that big balloon.¡± Shouted Gareth. The great red sword turned into a huge streak of scarlet light, as it shot towards the huge white orbs. *BOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!* The explosion blew away the entire landscape. The scarlet flames burned the white meteoric orb back to pure mana. With a thud the grey robed man fell to his knees, staring at Gareth in disbelief. ¡°I was so close. So close to achieving it. Why? Why was it taken away from me at the last moment?¡± He murmured like a mad man. ¡°See I don¡¯t know what your goal was, and I didn¡¯t want to crush it, but people from this city have gone missing along with a few of my men who were out here to investigate. I as a General am responsible for their arrival at their home to their wife¡¯s, mother and kids. When they don¡¯t return the blame falls on me. I swore an oath to protect them for as long as I live. Don¡¯t take it personally, but this is for my men.¡± Spoke Gareth in a cold tone. The gigantic great red sword shrank to fit Gareth¡¯s hand. A swift red streak flew across the grey robed man¡¯s neck, and his head was high up in the air accompanied by a torrent of blood. ¡°Guess our job here is done.¡± Spoke Royce in a respectful tone. He knew that right now the General was reminiscing for his fallen men, and now was not the time to fuck around. ¡°No just yet. I want to see what this weirdo was doing down there.¡± Spoke the General, staring at the huge hole on the ground. ¡°Oh right the underground base, I completely forgot about that.¡± Spoke Royce, as he leaned in forward to inspect it. ¡°General how about you jump in first and I¡¯ll just stay here and make sure that no one else enters.¡± Just as Royce finished speaking, he felt a foreign force on his buttocks. Gareth had kicked him. ¡°Eh!¡± The momentum of his body moved forward, as he lost his footing. ¡°Eh! General! No!¡± He cried. Gareth once again sighed, and jumped down as well. He opened his eyes and saw nothing. It was pitch black. Royce landed on his buttocks. ¡°Ouch¡± he cried in pain. Suddenly Gareth also landed near him. ¡°General where are you? General?¡± He shouted, as he couldn¡¯t see anything. ¡°I¡¯m here you idiot. Stop shouting, you¡¯re giving me a headache.¡± Spoke the General in an annoyed tone. Gareth immediately summoned orbs of flame to light the way. The passage was long and narrow. Even the extremely bright flame robs could help them see the end of the long and narrow passage. The two walked, with Royce nagging to the General for kicking him down the huge hole. ¡°General I could¡¯ve died down there. How could you do such a thing to me? Me your best friend?¡± Nagged Royce. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. ¡°Arggh, I should¡¯ve kicked harder, then maybe you would¡¯ve died and I wouldn¡¯t have to suffer.¡± Grunted the General in annoyance. The annoyance and the ignorance continued for a while, as they travelled down the passage way. After walking for about an hour or so, they reached in front of a huge black door. With had engravings of ancient beasts. Gareth summoned strength to his hands, and pushed opened the heavy doors. ¡°Woah! General. Are those some gains I see?¡± Shouted Royce. ¡°Will you shut up for five fucking minutes you rascal?¡± Murmured the General in annoyance. ¡°Alright, alright. I¡¯ll stop enlightening you with fun little facts.¡± Spoke Royce. ¡°Your still talking.¡± The General face palmed himself. ¡°What the hell was I thinking when I took you as my commander?¡± The room behind the black door, was empty. Nothing as far as the eyes could see. In this atmosphere a pin drop could be heard like an explosion. ¡°Wait what¡¯s that?¡± Spoke Gareth, staring into the darkness of the room. ¡°What? What?¡± Royce looked around in t confusion. Rattling noises of an iron chain could be heard. Gareth summoned even more light orbs. Approximately 20 meters from him was a chained figure. The figure was small, it either belonged to average female or a child. Walking closer the General, could clearly see the figure. It was a young boy, around 10 years old. His body was weak and his skin was pale, due to malnutrition. His black disheveled hair, was really long. The boy was only wearing a pair or torn-up, worn out shots, that were clearly too small for him. His head hung low, made it hard for the General to get a good look at his face. By the boy¡¯s side was a broken and rusted sword, around 20 inches long. ¡®Why the hell is a child chained down here? Could that man be a perverted pedophile?¡¯ the General¡¯s mind paced through the various possible explanation, but his morale sense of justice didn¡¯t allow him to think why the child would be chained down. ¡°Royce quickly untie this child.¡± He shouted. ¡°Eh! Me?¡± He responded in surprise. ¡°I don¡¯t wanna.¡± ¡°What did you say?¡± Asked the General with a sinister smile. ¡°Ah!, I said I¡¯ll be glad to do it.¡± Spoke Royce with a forced smile. ¡°That¡¯s my boy.¡± Smiled the General. A slender red, flaming blade appeared in Royce¡¯s hand. With a swift swing he chopped at the chain. *TIINNGG* The sound of metal ring, resonated throughout the room. The chain didn¡¯t have a single scratch on it. ¡°General, for some reason I can¡¯t channel any mana here. What¡¯s wrong with this place?¡± complained Royce. ¡°What the hell are you talking about now? Then how the fuck did I summon my flame orbs, you douche?¡± Retorted Gareth. ¡°General, your flame orbs disappeared a while ago. I thought you knew.¡± Spoke Royce. ¡°What?¡± Spoke the General as he turned around in surprise. He looked around, and Royce was right! Not a single orbs was present. The General tried summoning them, but mana couldn¡¯t reach down here. ¡°What the hell is going on?¡± ¡°I¡¯ve never heard of a place, that mana can¡¯t reach.¡± Spoke the General in astonishment. Chapter 4 As the neared the exit to the big underground base, the light of the sun shone through. Just as they exited, Royce suddenly felt something extremely sinister. ¡°Royce!¡± The only thing Royce could see was Gareth¡¯s blade, upon him, as he held the child. ¡®Confused and pitiful, is this how I die? Will I really die by my idol¡¯s blade?¡¯ These words paced through his mind. ¡°ROYCE YOU IDIOT, DROP THAT CHILD RIGHT NOW!!¡± Shouted Gareth in panic. Without a second thought, Royce jumped back, loosening his grip on the child. He heard the general¡¯s command, and followed it without any hesitation. Just as he moved away from the child, Gareth¡¯s sword was already set ablaze as it slashed forth towards the child on the ground. *BOOM* The sword¡¯s flame erupted outward, engulfing the entire area in a sea of scarlet flames. The flame burned extremely vigorously, as it turned everything to ashes, even the winds turned searing hot, that the birds flying above started to get burned, by flying to close. As the flame, smoke and dust cleared, a surprised expression emerged on Royce¡¯s face. ¡®What the hell?¡¯ The General¡¯s blade, was currently grinding against a broken and rust, hilt less blade that was held by the young child. The child, didn¡¯t even have a single scratch mark or burn mark on his body. The flames simply vanished as they neared him. ¡°HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!¡± The child laughed like a maniac, as a sinister and baleful aura escaped his body, engulfing the surrounding in a dark atmosphere. Seeing this Gareth slightly frowned. Although he hadn¡¯t used majority of his magical strength, the blow he used was by no means weak. To think that a mere child was able to block it, hurt his hundred year old pride. The boy¡¯s hand that was holding the broke, rusted sword, suddenly flung outward, pushing the general a few steps back. ¡°Oho!¡± Muttered the General in surprise. With a snap of his finger, countless orbs of flame appeared all around him. ¡°Suffer for your insolence.¡± Seeing this the boy¡¯s mouth curved into a sinister smile. ¡°HAHAHAAAHAH¡± The baleful laughter, was chilling to the bone. The orbs of flames, began to shrink as they neared the boy. Eventually they shrank into tiny specks of red dots that circled the boy. The boy willed and mana rushed to his broken sword. ¡°What?¡± Gareth shouted in surprise. Firstly his magic was subdued by the boy, secondly the boy was using pure mana. Pure mana was perhaps one of the hardest form of mana to control. It had no attribute, at the same time possessed all the attributes. No one for sure knew what pure mana was, except that countless have died trying to use. Only certain beings were capable of using pure mana. ¡®Could it be? That this brat is one of those monsters? Loved by mana, they walk the world like gods.¡¯ The general¡¯s mind suddenly flashed with some insight he had while reading a book. The book spoke of ancient beings. Beings capable of killing and devouring gods. For millions of years the world have yet to see a new being of such power. ¡®It can¡¯t be.¡¯ The captain slashed forth with his flaming sword. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. The sinister smile on the youth¡¯s face grew larger, as he simply extended his hand forward. With a swift motion the youth caught the flaming sword. The moment the edge of the sword came in contact with his skin, the flames on the sword vanished without a trace. The youth held on to the sword with his left hand, while he channeled pure mana into his blade with his right hand. Without waiting, the youth struck out with his broken sword. Although the blade wasn¡¯t long enough to reach the General, the pure mana that was channeled into the sword was released in a vertically line, cutting everything in its path. ¡°This monstrous strength, and mad battle skills, is he a fucking berserker.¡± Snorted the General, summoning his gigantic great red sword, to block the condensed pure mana strike. It was a plain strike without any tricks or skills, but its power was on a whole other level. *BOOM* The pure mana strike, and the gigantic great red sword clashed, sending out a destructive shockwave to the nearby surroundings. ¡®Huh. I somehow managed to block that blow.¡¯ Sighed the General in relief. ¡®This brat is a fucking monster.¡¯ But just before the general could catch his breath, the youth was already right in front of him, holding on to his broken sword filled with pure mana. ¡°Haa!¡± With a shout, the youth slashed his blade horizontally, sending out another strike of condensed pure mana. ¡®Dammit. It¡¯s too close.¡¯ The General quickly steadied his mind, and channeled his mana into his sword. ¡°Explosion.¡± The gigantic great red sword gave off a vibrant red glow, followed by an explosion of flames. *BOOM* The area were the fought was beyond repair, after being devoured by the explosion. Smoke and dust rose into the air, turning the blue sky blackish-grey. ¡®What the hell is going on?¡¯ Royce didn¡¯t understand a single thing that was going on. Suddenly he saw the youth holding a blade and clashing against his general. The youth with his tiny body was actually pushing the general into a corner. ¡®What the hell? Doesn¡¯t that make that brat stronger than me?¡¯ The smoke and dust cleared, to reveal the youth standing in the same position he was standing before the explosion, without a single scratch or burn. He gave of another sinister grin, and shot towards the general. ¡®Fuck my hypothesis was correct. Mana doesn¡¯t work on the brat.¡¯ Sighed the general. ¡®I guess I have to use it.¡¯ The general¡¯s muscles tightened and began to expand. ¡°Aaararrrrrrggggggghhhhhh¡± The general shouted, as his body began to grow. The veins on his skin became visible and his skin started to turn red. After the transformation the general was now almost 4 meters tall, with his a broad stature. He held the gigantic sword, which had shrunk to almost 9 meters to fit his hand. With his great red sword and new body, he seemed like a miniature giant. From his body he emitted a red smog that gave a red trail wherever he went. ¡°Come, let me educate you about brute strength.¡± Smirked the General as he mocked the youth. Chapter 5 The general¡¯s powerful arms, swung the great red sword with so much force that it seemed like a descending mountain as it crashed towards the charging youth. Before the youth could release the pure mana, the general took a quick step forward, and slammed the sword¡¯s flat side into the youth¡¯s stomach and released as his physical power into the blow. *BOOM* With the blast of a sonic boom, the youth, flew like an arrow. *CRASH* *CRASH* *CRASH* Since the surrounding was burned to crisp and destroyed beyond recognition, there was nothing present to stop the youth¡¯s momentum. The hit the ground, and still continued to roll for another 50 meters before stopping. Most of the ribs on his left side were shattered, and his left arm was disfigure horribly. Although the blow was not enough to take his life, it was enough to incapacitate him for a while, or so thought the general. But boy, was he wrong. The youth absorbed pure mana, and began to forcefully reconstruct his bones and flesh. ¡°This fucking brat is testing my patience.¡± Shouted the general as he charged towards the youth. *BOOM* The General sent out a torrent of flames, while the youth sent out waves of condensed pure mana. *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* Their explosions and clashes rang throughout the area and resonated in the air. After battling for a while, the youth showed signs of weakness. ¡®Is he getting tired? Well I¡¯m in no position to talk, using only my physical strength is too restrictive. I need to use mana.¡¯ Thought the general. Although he was a good physical fighter, he couldn¡¯t bring out his true abilities until he could use mana to conjure flames. The youth once again let out a wave of pure condensed mana. His rusted and broken blade, was at the end of its life. The youth expected the general to clash head on with the blow, but much to his surprise the general dodged the strike with nimble movements, and flashed in front of the youth. ¡°Hhhhaaarrrgghhhhh¡± Shouted the general, as he conjured up all his physical strength, and smashed on the youth¡¯s chest. Since the youth¡¯s back was towards the ground, it was a vertical strike, thus the youth slammed into the ground, creating a miniature crater. Just before the youth touched the ground, his hand let out a small multicolor glow. ¡°Shit! Pure Mana!¡± Exclaimed the General, trying to get away. *BBBOOOOOOOOMM* The ground split apart, with the winds blew wildly like storms. Even the skies shuddered in fear of the powers, as it started to rain, drenching the hot lands in cold water. Dust and smoke, as far as the eye could see. Not a single being was visible in a 12km radius. Royce quickly panicked. ¡°General? General where are you? Are you dead? If you died please reply?¡± Royce started shouting out to the desolate lands. From the smoke, a piece of brick flew with a certain grace, slamming into Royce¡¯s face. ¡°Shut the fuck up, you little maggot.¡± The general¡¯s figure walked out of the smoke, with tore cloths, and small bruises all over his body. In his hands he held the unconscious youth. ¡°Ge...¡General, dispose of that brat immediately. How can a child be that strong? He isn¡¯t a child. He is a demon.¡± Shouted Royce. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°Quiet down Royce.¡± Spoke the General. ¡°He¡¯s not a monster. He¡¯s just a bit different.¡± ¡°Different? General that brat was able to fight with your normal form on par. No child I know is capable of doing that.¡± Retorted Royce. ¡°Well one thing is for sure. Whatever that grey robed idiot was doing, definitely has something to do with this brat.¡± Spoke the general, as he slightly furrowed his brows. ¡°Well whatever that weirdo did, I don¡¯t want to suffer the consequences.¡± Replied Royce. ¡°Anyway, Royce don¡¯t tell the other about this brat. I want to see his full potential, and if my intuition is correct, then we may have landed our hands on a gold mine.¡± Smiled the General. ¡°Let¡¯s return to the empire first, and then we¡¯ll decide our next course of action.¡± ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡. Year 9991 of the Eterna calendar Aragon Empire Today was an extremely joyful day for the ¡®Aragon Empire¡¯. Its almighty emperor had just turned 150 years old. Thus the capital was busier than usual. Various noble and aristocrats were rushing here and there to get things done. Carriages pulled up, and some of them were decorated to the point of resembling dragons. All these carriages headed for one place. And the place was the royal palace. Hundreds upon hundreds of carriages pulled. Various flying ships, also docked on the skies above the royal palace. Truly befitting the almighty ¡®Aragon Empire¡¯. Even representatives from other powerful factions and empires, also showed up to give the emperor, to deepen their relationship. Suddenly above the skies of the Aragon Empire, a huge shadow was cast. A titanic floating castle, slowly drifted until it was directly above the Royal Palace. From the stationary floating castle, 5 shadows descended at great speeds. Following this 5 shadows, multiple other figures also shot out of the sky. The first 5 figures that shot down from the skies, were all dressed in lavish and expensive, golden robes, while the other figures were also dressed in expensive white and silver robes. With a prideful demeanor the group directly made their way to the royal hall, without even stopping to reveal their invitations to the guards. The guards also didn¡¯t particularly stop them. It seemed like their flashy entrance was more than proof of their strength. After a while after the entrance of these figures, two figures also made an appearance. One dressed in a crimson suit, with the other was dressed in a burgundy suit. The man in the crimson suit was extremely tall and handsome, while the man in the burgundy suit although handsome was average height. Looking up at the huge floating castle in the sky, the crimson suited man spoke in an excited tone. ¡°Seems like they¡¯re here as well.¡± ¡°Hmm, must be here to cover up the shame from their defeat 100 years ago.¡± Smirked the other man. ¡°I couldn¡¯t give a rat¡¯s ass about why they¡¯re here and what they want. I merely want to crush them in pure combat.¡± Laughed the crimson suited man. This man was exactly general Gareth. Chapter 6 As an overpowered king, it had never had to worry about anything. Domain, mates and even food, everything was a surplus. The black armored rhino, in its entire life had never been put in a disadvantageous position. It had ruled it¡¯s domain with an iron fist. Even the puny humans who dared stepped on to its land never saw the outside again. Blessed with an extremely powerful body, it could fight beasts even stronger than itself, sometimes even resulting in victory. Such events gave the beast a pride it should not possess. Believing itself to be the center of the world, the black armored rhino lived lavishly, until¡¡..it met a certain boy. The young boy wore a black garb. With a height of 120cms nobody would take him serious. His long black hair tied neatly in a ponytail. But the most peculiar thing about this child was his eyes. His eyes were shut, they didn¡¯t even open to bling. Truly a pity, that such a young child was blind. In the youth¡¯s right hand was a thin steel, broken sword. The black armored rhino was on its hunt, when it stumbled upon this child. The other beasts in the forest were boring and tasteless to eat, after having it over and over again. The beast¡¯s heart longed for human flesh, but human¡¯s seldom entered this forest, and even though the beast considered itself to be strong, it wasn¡¯t stupid. Human cities have various powerful individuals. Even it knew, that under the constant attack of multiple experts, it would perish without even offering up a fight, as such it waited in the depths for a poor soul to venture in. Now the black armored rhino, was laughing on the inside. Its wait had finally paid off. A stupid human offspring had ventured in. The youth¡¯s body suddenly disappeared, from his initial position. The black horned rhino let out a small roar. It was startled by the sudden disappearance of the youth. ¡®How could a youth not even have attained adult hood, pull one over the mighty beast that is myself.¡¯ The black armored rhino, after living for a few decades, was easily as intelligent as an adult human. ¡®Could it be that some other beast has stolen my property?¡¯ Pondered the rhino, as its eyes turned red from rage. All of sudden the rhino¡¯s frown tuned upside down, as it felt a small fluctuation in the mana in its surrounding. The only people of causing such tiny fluctuations were extremely weak or unskilled living beings. Concentrating more on this mana change, its face reverted back to one of frown then to a surprise. It quickly moved its huge body to look up. The mana fluctuation was coming directly from above the beast. In the calm, quiet forest, an excited childish voice slow resonated. ¡°Do you want to play with me, Mr. rhino?¡± Asked the youth, landing smoothly on its armored back.¡± ¡°RRRROOOOOOAAAARRRRRRR¡± Followed by the childish voice, an ear deafening roar of a mighty beats rang out in every corner of the forest. The black armored rhino was enraged. ¡®How dare a puny human stand on my back. It was an absolute insult, to a prideful beast such as myself.¡¯ Thought the black armored rhino, as it violently swung its body back and forth, in an attempt to shake the youth¡¯s grip on its back. ¡°Alright, alright. You don¡¯t like to go for a ride.¡± Smiled the youth, as he did a graceful backflip, landing in front of the beast. Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. The moment the rhino¡¯s eyes landed on the youth¡¯s figure, without knowing heads or tails, it charged blindly. The youth simple shook his head in disappointment. His right hand loosely gripped onto the broken sword, demonstrating his lack of interest in the beast in front of him. His once again let out a small smile, before speaking. ¡°It was nice meeting you, Mr. Rhino.¡± A violent force rushed to the broken sword. Even the rhino noticing the huge fluctuation in mana, stopped in its tracks to look at the cause. What it saw caused its heart to stop. The youth, the helpless youth which was supposed to be an easy prey, had a sinister grin plastered across his face as a baleful aura surrounded him. Only one word made its way into the mind of the scared and panicking rhino. ¡°Run. Flee. Escape.¡± Before the rhino could process what was happening, the broken sword in the youth¡¯s hand gave of a vibrant glow. Within a split second, the youth¡¯s figure flashed in front of the rhino. *Shaaah* The youth swiped his broken sword horizontally. An invisible wave of condensed mana, shot out like a bullet from the broken sword. The horizontal arc of mana, split the rhino¡¯s body from its mouth to its tail, leaving the back of its body completely unharmed. Regrets flashed through the rhino¡¯s mind, as it drew its last breath. Its eyes lost their spark, and the rhino died. ¡°Finally.¡± Exclaimed the youth. ¡°Now I can get Royce to forge me a good blade.¡± Spoke the youth, ripping out the deep black armor, from the rhino¡¯s back. The black armor on its back was easily 4 meters long, with a width of at least 5 meters. Definitely enough for multiple swords. Holding the black armor that was completely disproportional to the youth¡¯s tiny body, he quickly made his way out of the forest. Leaving the regal mighty beast naked and cut in half. ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ General Gareth, was never a person of too many words. He would only offer the most basic form of greetings, in any party, and everyone from the empire knew that he was such a person. Even though he barely spoke, in the battlefield he was a completely battle maniac, as such no one ever doubted his capabilities. Even amongst the six great generals of the ¡®Aragon Empire¡¯, Gareth would arguably be the strongest in close combat and direct confrontation. A man dressed in white robe, made his way up to the seated Gareth. ¡°General Gareth, Thomas, commander of General Devin offers his greetings.¡± Spoke the man in the white robe. ¡°My general would like to extend as invitation to an open mock battle, you. What do you say?¡± Asked Thomas, in an extremely respectful tone. Gareth simply scrolled his eyes over the white robed man in front of him, and immediately looked away in disinterest. ¡°If your general has a request, and as long as he isn¡¯t mute, I believe he is capable of speech. Go tell him to come and ask, and then maybe I¡¯ll agree.¡± Spoke Gareth, while looking away. ¡°My lord¡.¡± The white robed man wanted to say something, but Gareth released a tiny bit of his mana, and that was enough to plant the seeds of fear in the white robed man¡¯s heart.
