《Dragon God》 Prologue: Death ¡°Where am I?¡± Leo who was in a marbled room said so out loud. His voice echoed in the vast space and took a few seconds before dying away, it was empty and silent, but it couldn¡¯t hide the fact how magnificent the place looked. The design and kinda reminded him of eastern european style architecture, not only colossal in size but very tall, almost reaching over 70 feet in the air he looked small in comparison in the spacious area surrounding him. Everything from the ceilings, walls, and floor were all made up of carefully crafted marbles, paintings with vases that had flowers were just about anywhere, elegant furniture aligned the room, and chandeliers reached high up into the sky above him. Whatever this place is, someone had to be really rich to afford such extravagant building and merchandise, which by looks of it seems to be individually forged and constructed with unique decorations. The paintings also appeared to be commissioned and Leo could only imagine the price of each one. It would of made anyone think this was a imperial palace with an art gallery. What he wanted to know was why did he abruptly been teleported to this place? Did someone kidnapped him? If so then why? Questions clouded his entire mind with worry and anxiety, chills ran down his spine and his skin prickled with goosebumps, the place was cold, plummeting in temperature, Leo stood no chance with his light t-shirt and jeans, when he began shivering, not only did his entire body shake, but his teeth chattered in response and had started forming misty clouds from his mouth. Then it dawned on him, he couldn¡¯t have been here very long or else his body would of froze to death from the gelid conditions. What he wanted to do anything more was to first escape from this unknown location, just when he was about come up with a plan to break out of here, a woman¡¯s voice rang through the deserted palace, which instantly shattered his absence and brought him back to reality. ¡°Young man, unfortunately for you it seems like you had died.¡± There was somebody else there next to him, she was a beautiful woman that wore a cream-colored dress with her hair braided, there was also a small headband just above her forehead and a crystal tiara to go along with it. Her attire greatly resembled that of ancient greek, however the beauty she possessed could not mask the peerless even if her fashion had been outdated. ¡°But your death was meaningful and deserved great respect, even I was impress how many lives you had save throughout your life.¡± She said so in an apologetic manner and sincere attitude and brought her head down and bowed. ¡°For your actions I shall reincarnate you into another world, an alternate world where you will shine brightly like a star in the night sky. There you will be truly appreciated.¡± Leo was surprised more than anything to find someone in the afterlife, was she a goddess? Possibly a god? The way she spoke and her posture were all dignified with pride, then it finally hit him, he was dead. ¡°Wait¡ Why do I deserve to be reincarnated?¡± ¡°Hmm? You saved many people when you were alive, even you should know that.¡± He was silent and listen attentively, for now that was all Leo could do and he thought it would be interesting what she had to say. The goddess waved her hands and the air became a screen when it had started to play the heroism of Leo and his good deeds. There were many, from terrorist attack to attempted murders he could clearly see himself in the middle of all of them. It was weird seeing himself looking like a fantasy hero and being praised at the same time, and on top of that the one applauding him was a divine goddess. ¡°¡®The legendary white knight¡± that was what he was called before he died, Leo had no doubt he would be missed back at earth, but for him it was more than a relief not having to carry the burden anymore and living up to expectations after recollecting all his memories he finally understood what she meant and how he had died. It had all started after recently graduating from high school, after he had received a phone from the chief of police recruiting him into the police force. Apparently he had heard about the incident in the news about a woman nearly getting raped and Leo who had came to the aid shortly afterwards. You could say it was fate and his destiny that pointed him to the direction, to the rapist and the woman being there to set him up towards where he was about to head. But, nevertheless Leo had accepted the offer and in one year grown in ranks and climbed to the top renown as the special prodigy. The attention he got quickly picked up, doing the impossible tasks of saving innocent civilians from many situations. Never in his career did he back down on the mission no matter how small the chance of survival was. But his real break was at the white house, saving the president from mercenary¡¯s from the middle east. Then his popularity jumped and skyrocketed, winning medals, getting raise in both his salary and rank. He thought nothing could have gone better than this, what he didn¡¯t know the consequences of being on top of the pedestal. The way he died was quite tragic, recalling the memory of being backstabbed finally resurfaced. It all happened at a bar located near the headquarters where he worked, after a day he would always hang around there and have a couple of shots. That was his routine, all his coworkers knew that, and so did everyone working in the area. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it He remembered a young girl specifically enter through the door asking for his help. She led him in a dark alley and there he had been surrounded by mobs that murdered him. Leo felt neither fear or angry, he had anticipated something like this would happen after a while, but he didn¡¯t expected it to be so soon. Now, that he was dead, not only is a goddess telling everything about his life, but also declaring him to be reincarnated, it was a crazy situation. ¡°Now, shall we proceed with your rebirth?¡± Asking a rhetorical question before Leo could object she then continue where they had left off. ¡°Hmm¡.. unfortunately I cannot bring you back to earth if that was what you wished..¡± She frowned and shook her head and had a face full of regret, he was no expert in reading people¡¯s mood, but the answer had been obvious why he couldn¡¯t go back. ¡°In its state right now the population is reaching the limit, in the past century it has increased too much and with a person like yourself it would be wasted.¡± She was giving him the rundown of the circumstances and he understood very well the problem. Leo honestly didn¡¯t mind not going back, although the only thing he missed were his precious parents who had showered him with love, the others wasn¡¯t really that big for him to be sad about, still he couldn¡¯t help feel guilty not being able to say goodbye to his mom and dad, they must have received the news by now that he had been gruesomely killed and Leo could only imagine their reaction. It made him feel even worse just thinking about it so he quietly shook his head. The goddess who had been talking stopped and gave him a gentle smile. ¡°It¡¯ll be alright, i¡¯ll send someone to say those parting words for you, like a witness before you died, for now let us move on, I already have a tight schedule answering prayers and a meeting in 1 hour.¡± She clapped her hands and showed a smile, and patted his shoulder signaling him to cheer up. Finally, putting his emotions aside and raising his burrowed head, Leo got to the main point. ¡°So if it isn¡¯t earth what kind of world would I reincarnate into?¡± ¡°I¡¯m glad you asked, it¡¯s simple, a world where magic and swords exist, think of it like a fantasy game and that pretty much sums up what it is.¡± ¡°Swords and magic¡.¡± He was dumbfounded, did such a world exist? If so, then could you really call it fantasy anymore? Nevertheless the idea sound quite attractive, it would be a totally new experience and he liked that. ¡°By your reaction, you don¡¯t seem disappointed, that¡¯s good¡± ¡°Mhm, living on earth was fun, but swords and magic, how could I turn that down?¡± ¡°Very well, if you didn¡¯t like that option, there was always eternal sleep, but even if you wanted to I would of reborn you anyways without any objections.¡± ¡°Oh¡¡± She clenched her first and instantly bright light emitted from her palm, when she opened them there was a sphere of blue flames. ¡°I will put this into your soul and newly body.¡± ¡°What¡¯s that¡?¡± ¡°This?¡± She pointed at the single lit fire on her hands. ¡°Well I thought i¡¯ll give you something as a parting gift before you go, it¡¯s basically my blessing and a special type of skill.¡± ¡°Skill?¡± ¡°Yes, I call it ¡®Heaven¡¯s Calamity¡¯, a skill that will grant you the power of Aoi, the strongest and mightiest dragon out of all. It¡¯s soul is sealed and when release and kept inside your new body. You will wield unyielding potential. You will also have the soul that even surpass me in power.¡± ¡°Aoi ? Soul? I don¡¯t get anything you¡¯re saying¡.¡± Leo expression was between puzzled and disbelief, he didn¡¯t know why the goddess would give him that kind of power. If you look at it, even though he was a considered a savior with unmounting praise, shouldn¡¯t she be a little more careful? The unwavering attitude was admirable. ¡°Let¡¯s just say I want to create a story that will carry on towards the future generations. Earth already has one, the man that had the long beard and hair. However this world does not, but I have chosen you to carry out that deed.¡± Then in a flash she flicked her index finger and the flame came rushing towards Leo¡¯s chest and disappeared inside. ¡°With this, the debt should be paid. I¡¯m expecting big things from you. Maybe someday we''ll meet again, but for now, we shall part. Don¡¯t disappoint me young one.¡± She snapped her fingers and then immediately, the marble palace disappeared from sight and was replaced by whiteness and again by darkness. His vision blinded and his senses paralyze, he thought the goddess made a mistake and sent him into the abyss, but it wasn¡¯t long before light reached his eyes again and his questions were answered, the grown body that were recently there was gone, what was there instead were small hands and feet flailing around uncontrollably. Leo then knew he had been reborn into the alternate world, his memories intact he remembered the conversation and his past life. Gradually scanning around him something felt wrong. The image of man he knew was gone, and now instead replaced by feminine like aura with an unknown slit that use to be his crotch. Then this could mean one thing... ¡°Ris, it¡¯s time for dinner! Say Ah!¡± ¡°I¡¯m a g-girlll!!!!!!!?¡± That goddess tricked me! Chapter 1: Growth Risa Bardolf or ¡°Ris¡± for short was her given birth name in this world, that¡¯s right a ¡°she¡± apparently the goddess had some sort of twisted humor when creating the new body. There wasn¡¯t any mention of gender swapping when they were talking about reincarnation, then again the likeliness of how she acted was mischievous, it didn¡¯t seem impossible or out of stretch if that was her plan all along. Something like ¡°Fufu I didn¡¯t mention what you were going to be reborn as¡± with a huge smirk on her face while laughing loudly in amusement popped inside Risa¡¯s head. If people found out the god they been praying towards a jaunty. beautiful, tall woman who had a deceptive personality, she could only imagine the reaction on everyone''s expression would be, especially the avid worshippers, it would be hilarious. But, right now she was vex more than laughing with joy. Risa, who had originally been a male spent most of her life drowned in her work. She is completely unfamiliar with man to woman relationship. Adding the fact that the goddess said the world was that of swords and magic, so she understood in this world there would be unavoidable battles in the future. Risa needed to get strong as soon as possible. The female body put a burden that she needed to overcome, which will take time in order to get accustom to. Apart from that, her family seem to come from a wealthy background, most likely a noble. The crib where she lay was made out of expensive wood. The room she was in was quite spacious for a single babies room Risa guessed this her¡¯s alone. One could imagine giving a newborn such an extravagant lifestyle would make them spoil in the future. Luckily, Risa wasn¡¯t just any child she, who was previously a heroic figure from earth had tremendous experience in combat and discipline. A click could be heard as the door gently open and light from the hallway entered the dark room. ¡°Little Ris it¡¯s time for your meal~¡± A woman in a maid uniform approached with a baby bottle and slowly put it in her tiny mouth. It was the same woman from before. What¡¯s this¡ Why does a simple formula taste so good! Even though I just woke up not too long ago¡.¡± After, a few minutes the bottle had been completely empty putting Risa back into her reverie. ________________________________________________________________________________________ 9 months had passed by and now Risa began to understand more about her family. The maid who always came at night to feed her was Belil Albree, not only does she feed her, she was a nanny, Risa personal caretaker, and also like to call her ¡°Ris¡± as a nickname. As for her dad she learned more about him. His name was James Bardolf, a rich and respected merchant in the capital who was also too busy for his child. He was even absent during her birth, which left a bitter taste in Risa¡¯s mouth. If a father believes money is before his own children, and even not visiting her once. She decided to avoid him as much as possible if they ever do cross paths. However, what shocked Risa was the her mother, Mary Bardolf who fell ill after giving birth, and was in a state of coma. In the household of Bardolf, Risa was considered a curse child, after what happened to her mother. Most servants and slaves would put a good distance, shun of possible contact, unless ordered by Belil they didn¡¯t want to be around her, which made her sad. Belil was the only person Risa came to personally love and consider her a second mother. Other than that no one in the household felt a huge impact in her heart. Besides her real mom who had fallen ill she felt responsible and promised herself she would make her better in the future. Every day was the same, eat, sleep, and repeat. She had grown bored of it and decided to do something that would boost her understanding of this world. In order to do that Risa needed to firstly learn how to read and write. She had guessed if this was a noble''s mansion, there was bound to be books. ¡°Ris~¡± Belil would always call me that whenever it was time to eat. Her melodic voice, which it gave off a pleasant ring to Risa¡¯s ear. ¡°Ara ara why are you always standing up sweet little Ris fufu.¡± It had became a habitat for her automatically climb the crib when Belil entered. She would always have an ecstatic expression whenever she did. It would make her happy, and for that it wasn¡¯t that big of a deal, if she could see the delightful smile every time. Ris stared with her pair of blue eyes at Belil. ¡°You¡¯re just too cute! Here, you go.¡± She brought the bottle filled with formula and on her other empty hand she had a child¡¯s book. ¡°I even got you a story for you today. Since I know you must be bored fufu.¡± Was this woman a wizard? Or was it just coincidence? Ris instantly smiled and giggled in approval. ¡°I knew you would love it. Belil knows best after all.¡± A smile appeared as if Risa mind had been read by her. This woman truly has a scary intuition. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Ignoring the large eyes of Ris, she went and grabbed a wooden chair next to the crib and sat down. Slowly, Belil began to read to her in a quiet tone, her perfect pace and rhythm made Risa feel fatigue. But, she tried her hardest to stay awake. These quality times helped her learn more about the language. If she wanted to start her training early it would come from knowledge first. After, 10 minutes Belil closed lightly closed the book. ¡°It¡¯s time to sleep.¡± She went and put the chair back and gave Risa a kiss on the cheek. ¡°Night Ris my dear~¡± ________________________________________________________________________________________ Risa, now almost six years old and already started training in the large backyard before sunrise. She would first warm up a bit, and after that Risa would grab the wooden sword and begin practicing. This sword she made it herself through carefully carving it out from a nearby branch that was lying around. Swinging the sword she left an blur imagine with each constructive movement. In her eyes the surroundings became tranquil. Each step and attack was unified and no room for retaliation. ¡°HA!...¡± The explosive force of the sword ripped through the air making her surroundings tremble. There was a glint in her eyes and a satisfied grin across her face. Risa had improved greatly in swordsmanship, in terms of skill she was on par with a high ranking knight. This world had 4 different continents: Ertoz, Trirathiel, Seinia, and Eoweilith. Each one was the size of Asia and separated into different ruling empires. The most dominant was the humans other races such as elves, beastmen, demons, and dwarfs secluded themselves in forest or barren land, because the constant fear of enslavement and death. Monsters were not feared to the extent of what she had anticipated. In fact, it was more or less human struggle for greed and power which were infesting the world. There were no basic rights for slaves or other races. The world she happened to reincarnate was indeed a corrupt one. The mansion which Risa had been settling since now was in the continent of Ertoz, not far from the imperial capital. By carriage or horse it would take about 7 days. By foot it would take about 2-3 weeks. She wanted to see the world in this vast land. The endless sky and ocean stirred her curiosity when reading the books about heroes and large beasts, just thinking about it made her want to grow faster. As Risa had started again in her vigorous swings and slashes while lost in her own thought, a shout could be heard from behind, grabbing her attention. ¡°Ris! Time for dinner!¡± Those same line always being said by Belil was always the same. Belil stood near the door where the backyard and mansion connected waving her hands. ¡°Be right there!¡± She gently took her wooden sword against the wall of the mansion and walked towards Belil. ¡°Jeez you¡¯re always with that sword. Why can¡¯t you be like a normal girls your age and play with dolls.¡± Risa gave her a grin. ¡°Dolls won¡¯t help me achieve respect.¡± Belil could only sigh in resignation. What she said wasn¡¯t false, but for a 5 year old, she acts a bit too mature for her age. Risa wasn¡¯t interested in dresses or toys when she was a child only strength and that stupid sword. ¡°Let¡¯s go. The foods going to get cold if you stay out here for too long.¡± As Belil and Risa entered into the dining room different types of aroma filled the room. The array food made her stomach growl in hunger. After thanking the servants and talked to Belil a bit, Risa didn¡¯t hold back anymore and ate. The taste of delicious meat and vegetables was satisfying. Belil cook was superb and warmness spread throughout her body. ¡°Belil you¡¯re the best cook ever! If I didn¡¯t train everyday there is no doubt I would be a full of fat from the bottom up.¡± ¡°I¡¯m glad, and hey! I wouldn¡¯t let you eat this much if you didn¡¯t burn it off from your routine everyday. You practically just become skinny and muscular instead. So, you should thank your nanny Belil for her kind instead service, fufu.¡± ¡°Oh¡?¡± Risa realize something¡. The food she ate did seem quite strange when it entered her body. That warm sensation wait¡ ¡°That¡¯s right! I made sure to nourish your muscles from the food you eat. I did after all put some medication here and there.¡± ¡°You what!¡± Her tiny body body shouting made it awkward as the response didn¡¯t seem like a child at all. ¡°Ris, don¡¯t worry! It will only benefit you. Now, that I thought of something. You do see too mature for your age. Plus your battle capability has reach to this state training alone! I have made my decision!¡± A bad premonition came over Risa as the next line was said by Belil. ¡°You will attend the royal academy entrance test tomorrow!¡± Chapter 2: Capital The room went quiet after Belil announcement. Risa who had been cheerfully eating stopped. ¡°You¡¯re lying right¡. They¡¯re probably going to be basic stuff that I already know.¡± ¡°That¡¯s true, but what¡¯s special about the academy is there test determines what level you¡¯re put in. In that case it wouldn¡¯t be a problem if you can show your skill you hone.¡± Risa thought for awhile. Belil was right. If she can get into the academy with her strength and talent that can match it. It would be further challenge her to a new stage, which couldn¡¯t be found in this tepid household full of servants. She had guess there would certain be constant pressure and competition to drive her in her conquest for supreme power. Besides with the soul that had merge with Aoi, the dragon god. For the past 5 years accustoming wasn¡¯t so easy. But, with her training she had come to learn how powerful Aoi really was. The destructive force she could feel inside her soul was enough to consume the world. It enhance her body as she aged, hardening it to the point where simple swords and weapons weren¡¯t enough to wound her, but this was only the beginning. Not only did it improve her body. Even her beauty was not what she had expected. Blonde hair, blue eyes, her petite yet childish body gave off an innocent charm, and her face that could bring the world to ruins, it was more or less a curse for her. Previously being a man it didn¡¯t suit well that other guys would look at her with eyes of temptation. The worst part was, this too wasn¡¯t going to stop. Eventually in years to come her beauty and body will continue to grow as well, just thinking about made her depress. Well you can¡¯t being a dragon god without two traits. It was more or less better than being ugly. ¡°Ris what are you thinking about?¡± Belil who been glancing over to Risa asked. She seem lost in her thoughts and wonder if the last thing she said was too much, it made her feel anxious. Afterall she was still just a child. The fact that she would go to live over at the campus in the dorms would be expecting too much. ¡°It¡¯s nothing¡. What you said is right Belil. The peaceful mansion is indeed holding me back, but for me to leave after 5 years. Do you really want to get rid of me that bad?¡± Risa put up an act and showed a smirk. Belil who sat beside her gave a piercing stare and lightly chop her on the head. ¡°Of course not, I was just looking after you. In fact I don¡¯t really want you to leave, but seeing you try so hard training everyday made me want to help in such a way.¡± ¡°Belil, you know I love you, I even see you as my second mother! Don¡¯t be upset¡. Now you making me feel guilty, i¡¯m sorry¡.¡± Belil gave her a smile. ¡°If you don¡¯t want me to feel sad than go to the royal exam tomorrow. I would feel happy and proud.¡± Risa grabbed her hand and looked at her with a firm expression. ¡°You can count on me.¡± She nodded and replied back as she gently squeeze her hand. ¡°Well, get sleeping, because will have to wake up tomorrow, extra early.¡± ¡°Okay, good night Belil.¡± ¡°Good night Ris sweet dreams~¡± Risa went back into her room and laid on her bed and reminisce about what Belil had said and academy. How was life in a city? Will she get to meet her father? Such thoughts loom over Risa... ________________________________________________________________________________________ Before the sun had risen the dark mansion was quite busy during this time in preparation for the trip to the imperial city. Risa who woke up early had gotten herself dressed fashionably as this was an important event. She had to look at least nice to the exam is what Belil said. She wore a red and black short sleeve floral belted dress and wedge shoes. When she saw herself on the mirror Risa she could only sigh. At this rate she was afraid she¡¯ll end up a narcissist. ¡°Ris i¡¯m coming in.¡± Belil opened the door and entered. When she saw what Risa had on she could only stare. ¡°Ris you¡¯re so cute!~¡± ¡°B-elil what are yo-¡± She ran over and started hugging her tightly in her arms while rubbing her cheek across Risa. ¡°Let¡¯s go shall we?¡± While still holding her around those thin arms Belil took out a black veil to put it on Risa¡¯s head. Belil who was still dress in her usual maid outfit took out a gemstone from her pocket. These were used as a teleportation device to be able to reach long distances. But, since the price on only one were so high it was a luxury to even own one. Only nobles and royal family usually could afford such things. The gem started to glow with brightness and the light surrounded both her and Belil. They faded into a blur and were transported outside the city gates. Guards stood and blockaded the gates in a strict manner. No one was allowed to pass without clearance. One of the guard who looked around his 30s gave them a glance with disdain and arrogance. ¡°You two! What are you doing this early in the day!?¡± ¡°We came here for the test for the royal academy, if you could allow us in please.¡± Belil showed her an emblem. It was the symbol of the Bardolf¡¯s household. Fear and panic instantly shadowed the previous haughty attitude. Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. ¡°Yes, Madam! Right this way!¡± Belil and Risa passed with ease after, not much problems occur along the process. Since they were early on arriving Belil decided to they would stay at an inn for the time being to rest. After walking through the somewhat empty street Risa saw a building that had a wooden beer sign. The two of them entered and upon arriving they saw a young woman who looked to be the innkeeper. ¡°What can I do for you two lovely ladies? Would you like a room to stay over?¡± ¡°Yes will be staying for only a day, two rooms.¡± ¡°That would be 2 silver.¡± Belil took out two silver from her pocket and gave it to the young woman behind the counter. In this world the currency was quite simple. 100 copper = 1 silver 100 silver = 1 gold 100 gold = 1 platinum ¡°Here are your two keys, your rooms is on the second floor.¡± ¡°Thank you.¡± Both Risa and Belil went ahead to their room. The hallway and the floor was mostly made out of wood. Upon seeing the their room number with bronze plate. Before Risa and Belil departed they decided to rest a bit before going out to the examination. Upon arriving, the room was quite simple. A bed, table, and a small bathroom. She went ahead and took off her veil and laid on the bed and closed her eyes. ________________________________________________________________________________________ *Knock* *Knock* ¡°Ris, it¡¯s time to head out.¡± Risa who had an abrupt wake up call rubbed her eyes and yawn. Her attire was a bit wrinkled and she gently brushed her dress. Without hurrying she made her way towards the door and opened it while putting on her veil back in place. ¡°Ris, what happened you should really respond when i¡¯m calling you, you had me worried.¡± ¡°Sorry, Belil I was getting some sleep.¡± ¡°Well, it can¡¯t be helped. Now, let¡¯s go it¡¯s about time we go. You don¡¯t want to be lining up, do you?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t we have our Bardolf emblem? We can easily make our way through like this, no?¡± ¡°That¡¯s true, but there will be plenty of other important figures, nobles taking it with you.¡± Belil took Risa¡¯s hand and led her to the dining area. ¡°Before we go have something to eat.¡± She handed her a menu. The food here wasn¡¯t too luxurious. It was more targeted towards commoners alike. She decided to take the beef stew with black bread. After ordering they didn¡¯t have to wait long before the food arrived. The wooden plate in which the stew contain was steaming and the bread was served around a napkin. The taste wasn¡¯t good or bad, but it definitely really impress her. She, who grew up delicious food felt like it was bland. Risa didn¡¯t even finish the half of it and decided it was enough. Instead of wasting the food, she called in the beggar who she saw before entering the inn, along with the bread. ¡°Let us go shall we.¡± Belil took her hand again and this time they adventured outside the inn and beyond. In the afternoon the capital was much more lively. People sold different things on the streets with stalls, if not they had mats laid out. There was plenty of regular stores as well selling various items. But, the one that drew Risa¡¯s attention was the slave markets and the slave auction. Most of them were young women and children. It made her blood boil in rage when she saw such cruelty. In this world slaves were treated as toys nothing more. Men invention to meet their greedy desires. Beside that the capital had a lot to offer, which Risa thoroughly enjoyed. The adventure guild was one of them. An adventure did quest and request from the guild and in return receive rewards. Mostly money as payment. But, why people decided becoming an adventure was due to fame and status. Ranks were simple. Copper - Iron - Silver - Gold - Mithril - Platinum - Diamond - Adamantine Heros in the story she read were in were Adamantine rank. Being in this rank gave you privilege of at an equal footing with the king himself. You were free to do whatever, and whenever you want. This was her dream. To graduate from the academy and become an adventure, until then she had to contain her excitement and not get distracted. Belil said the education for the royal academy was the best. She will use this as an opportunity to use their resource and environment to get stronger. This school was only her stepping stone. Her dream was to conquer the world. ¡°Ris were here.¡± Risa saw a large building decorated with marbles and exquisite architecture. There weren¡¯t many people, since they were early, but Risa and Belil saw a couple of people already assigned their own instructor for the exam. The atmosphere was clean and a faint sense of arrogance. ¡°Royal Academy¡. Wait for me.¡± Risa muttered under her veil. Chapter 3: Superiority "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, today we have our annual trance exam. Each individual shall be assign an instructor." By the time the academy had gotten crowded Risa was already assigned an instructor. If they had been just about an hour late, the traffic would taken too long. It would''ve have extended until dawn, and with this many people. It wouldn''t be a surprise. The most important part was keeping herself concealed. Thankfully for Risa, since many people were busy with their examination, not many stares were drawn towards her, she tried to cover herself as much as possible in order to avoid any strange glances, especially the men. After about another 30 minutes the exam had gone full throttle. Her instructor an muscular men in his 40s walked up to her. Belil who was beside Risa gripped her hand tightly. She showed nervousness and a bit of paranoia on her expression. "Hello, are you madam Risa Bardolf?" Under her black veil she nodded in response. "Oh my, aren''t you a bit too young to attend such an elite academy? This isn''t some kind of game you know..." Risa lightly smiled. "Mr. Instructor may I know your name?" "I am Joan Knighton, Mr. Knighton for you." He wasn''t able to hide scornful remark, and looked at her in disdain. "Then.... Mr. Knighton, I am here for the exam no more, no less, age doesn''t really show maturity now does it?" Mr. Knighton looked at her with hatred. This brat thinks she can come here and be this arrogant? Does she think this is children''s play? Haha! We will see little brat. Girls like you should just stay in the kitchen where you belong! This man was indeed a buffoon, none of the less his attitude towards her only amused her. But, she had to just meet a person like him. Risa could only sigh. There goes not drawing attention. An idiot had ruined it for her. "Well, lets begin the test." He said in an sarcastic tone. Belil who had witness all this was furious, but the tight squeeze from Risa''s hand helped her relax. She couldn''t offend people from the academy. Even if their background were extraordinary. They would be at the mercy before them. "First I will test your soul force, depending on how strong it is, the most potential that person has." He took out an orb and held it in his palm. It was lustrous and gave off an faint magical power. "Just touch this and it should do." Risa took her small soft hands and made contact with it. This brat probably doesn''t even won''t reach level 1, haha! But, to his expectation betrayed him completely. The orb glowed with blinding light, covering the entire examination ground. "What''s was that!" "Did you see that light!?" "Look it''s coming from over there!" Everyone''s attention immediately turned towards the maid and a little girl. "Mr. Knighton would that be all right?" Risa gave him an smirk. The orb which had been there previously shattered completely. Mr. Knighton stood there shocked. But, quickly recovered. His face burned with rage and some humiliation by a kid. You bitch! That brat must be cheating! "Madam Risa, you can''t be using such trickery and fraud against the academy! Are you trying to insult us?!" "Hoo~? How did I do such a thing? I simply touched it. You saw it didn''t you?" "Listen here brat, a kid like you wouldn''t be able to shatter the orb! No one has done it before, and especially not to some brat like you who should be at home playing doll. It''s unbelievable." "Yea that''s right! You expect us to believe such idiotic results!" "This brat is arrogant, and a girl at it too!" "What a bitch!" Vulgar insults flooded in, which started grabbing attention of other people present in the exam ground. Many people who were waiting join in, and some who failed. Risa cursed her under her breath. Although she tried restraining most of her soul force, it seems like just a tiny bit can yield this amount power as of result was simply unexpected. Then again this buffoon and stupid people wouldn''t allowed her to pass anyways. She had expected this circumstance when she saw that man''s face. A brat like you is challenging me!? BAHAHAHAHAH!" He started to laugh hysterically, and the crowd follow suit. This little whore had gone too far! But, Risa didn''t pay attention to him nor the people. She only looked at him in a playful expression. "Hooo~ Are you perhaps scared to lose your dignity?" Mr. Knighton who laughed responded. "Scared!? You!? No way! Hahaha!" "Then why are you not accepting it, i''m right here." Oh that''s it, you bitch! "If you want to die so bad. I''ll accept! If you can hit me once you win." He sneered under his breath. "One is enough." "You!!!" He leaped from where he was standing and launched towards her in a flash. To many he disappeared leaving an after image. But, to Risa who had experience from her previous world and the power of a Dragon God this speed was so slowly she could practically just sleep for hours as if nothing were happening. The only reason she came to this academy was to learn more about this world, and an worthy competition. But, this instructor wasn''t one of them. He underestimated her, this was his mistake. She drew power from her soul and instantly moved away from his attack. Before he could even respond. She launched a perfect clean punch to the solar plexus, without her power to back her up. She was on par with an high ranking knight, but with just taking off her limiter with tiny bit of her true power she was practically invincible. On making contact the entire exam room exploded. The building itself rumbled and roof tiles began to fall. Everyone who stood nearby were blown away. Mr. Knighton was lying on the floor bloodied couldn''t move a single muscle. If someone saw him, they could tell he was crippled for life. She didn''t want to kill him, but the result shocked herself as well. When training on the Bardolf residence she only relied only training the body without the drawing from her soul. This type of power was too dangerous. She had to hold back even more next time, which was practically impossible. Risa was already at her limit. She only used .01% of it. When everything calmed down she was surrounded by the royal academy guards and instructors. Belil who was the only person not blown because of her protection was escorted outside the building and back to the inn. Risa, however was summoned to the headmasters quarters. "Was this your doing?" A old man with white beard said. "Yes, only because the instructor wasn''t being fair. I had pass the first round, but his ego is inflated to the max." The headmaster shook his head. Even though this man was arrogant to the point it could consume the world. He after still a royal academy instructor. "Your power is incredible.... For a 5 year old like you to display such destructive force..." He stroked his long beard and contemplated awhile. He gave her an smirk. "What is it headmaster? You should stop staring and giving creepy smiles to a kid like me you know, people might get the wrong idea." The old man looked at her in amazement and started laughing. "Interesting! Interesting! Alright Risa was it? How about joining the academy?" Risa frowned, that escalated way too quickly, was this old man head screws loose? "You know I destroyed property and crippled one of your instructors." The headmaster just waved his hand and smiled. "It''s nothing to worry about. Beside i''m quite interested in you. I want to see how much you can grow. I made up my mind. To find someone like you indeed rare in this world." "Pervert." "Eh?" The old man could only look at her in blank expression. No one had called him an pervert before his life. This girl''s boldness and resolute made him excited. It only drawn him more and more. He made up his mind. "Risa how about becoming my disciple?" Chapter 4: Disciple ¡°Ho~ Disciple you say..." The headmaster gave a nod and showed his pearly white teeth. It was understandable such naive 5 year old didn''t know about him. Most people would be crying with joy and happiness if he had spoken those lines to someone else, but this girl didn''t seem fazed at all. "You know who I am right?" Risa just shrugged gazed away from the old man. He seemed more like a beggar than a headmaster. He looked nothing special, but the magical energy inside him told her otherwise. "You must sense my energy right? Keen eye you have there, truly a gift to detect my true presence." Risa lifted her eyebrows. Indeed, he has been the most strongest person she had met so far. He was at least 20x more powerful than that bastard Knighton, but the magical energy the headmaster possessed wasn''t anything too amazing to get worked up for. If she release her soul energy out from her body this world was guaranteed to be destroyed. Even the universe would shake to the point of destruction, if she didn¡¯t hold back. That type of magic didn¡¯t mean anything at all by comparison. "Hey old man, headmaster, I appreciate your offer, but believe it or not I don''t need magic training. What I need is physical strength, so i¡¯ll have to decline.¡± The room was silent for awhile. For him who was renown as the one of the best mage''s throughout the country to be flat out rejected damaged his pride a bit. Nevertheless a 5 year old! Risa turned around and headed towards the door and was about to leave, but a sudden voice rang out. ¡°Wait! How about some sort of deal? We can work something out!¡± Risa clear smirk plastered all over her face. If the headmaster saw the devilish grin of hers he would definitely cough up blood. Hoho~ The reason why she rejected his offer earlier was because Risa would have to follow to his terms, but if she can get him to agree with her¡¯s, it was perfect setup to practically live in this academy with luxury. Risa stopped and turned her head. ¡°Deal~? Ara, ara, now you¡¯re talking.¡± Her voice seem to tease the headmaster as if she was talking to an child. ¡°Yes, yes! Just ask ask me your request and if it¡¯s reasonable and within my power I will give it to you, but in exchange, you¡¯ll be my disciple. How about it?¡± The old man voice sounded hoarse. Risa smiled and held out her tiny fingers. ¡°I have only three conditions. Number one, I want to wear my veil freely around the school without anyone making a fuss about it, number two, I want to be able to spar with anyone, including the instructors, and number three, I want my own dorm all by myself.¡± While narrating all this she waved her three fingers around. The headmaster only sighed in defeat. Her request anything that he couldn¡¯t do, but, that superior attitude really was unexpected, as if he was playing around her little palm to do her bidding. This brought great shame to the old man. The old man could only look down and nod his head in embarrassment. Nevertheless, with her monstrous growth it wouldn¡¯t be too bad to establish an connection. He could sense immeasurable soul power within her and it piqued his curiosity. He wanted to see how far she could go. ¡°So with this, you have officially become my disciple.¡± He stretched out his hand towards Risa. She backed away a bit when he did, Risa was still cautious around men. She couldn¡¯t really trust them without fully knowing them, but the old man didn¡¯t have an utter motive so she took it and shaked his hand. ¡°Headmaster I didn¡¯t get your name.¡± He gave her a smirk. ¡°Leonard Godfrey.¡± This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. ¡°Headmaster Godfrey, thank you very much for your kindness. I will take my leave.¡± ¡°Wait! Aren¡¯t you staying in royal academy dorm?¡± He looked at her confused. Where did she want to go? She was already accepted to the academy so it was only natural she would live here from now on. ¡°I have to visit my nanny. It won¡¯t be long, so, don¡¯t mind me, i¡¯ll be back.¡± With that Risa departed from the headmaster, to the gate, and back towards the inn. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Belil who came back earlier than Risa was worried. She couldn¡¯t stop shaking, her anxiety was to the breaking point. She was afraid Risa would get punished and didn¡¯t know how the academy would handle her. She was only 5 years old, Belil treated her as if she was her mother. If anything happened to Risa, Belil would never be able to live with herself. She is fine¡. She¡¯ll be alright Those same things echoed in her mind, self-reassuring herself. It was the only reason she hasn¡¯t gone crazy and ran back to the academy demanding Risa back. This outcome would not only be bad for her, but for Risa as well. Please come back my little Ris Belil laid on the bed and thought to herself. Her eye¡¯s looked depressed, and she seem to age by 20 years. It had only been 5 hours since they were separated, but such rapid change to her character and body, one could see she deeply cared for Risa. When lost in her own world, the wooden door opened. Belil who stared at the ceiling while muttering some words didn¡¯t notice a figure walked in, which was right in front of the simple bed. ¡°Belil~ You look like a total mess you know, jeez. What if some guy with bad intentions walked in instead of me?¡± Risa gave her a caring smile, she took off her veil in the process. ¡°Ris!!!!!¡± Belil lunged at her with quick speed and tackled her on the floor. ¡°You idiot! How could you get in trouble on your first day at the academy! You made me worried to death! If you didn¡¯t come back¡ I..¡± Risa hugged her tightly and her small arms around Belil slim waist. This maid¡. She thought to herself. This person was the only person she really trusted with all her heart since reincarnated into this world. Belil who had her arms to the side replied back with a hug back. They both stayed like that for awhile until Risa decided to tell her about the news. She told her everything what happened after, meeting the headmaster, being offered to be his pupil, and her having to live in the dorms starting from tomorrow. Belil who quietly and jerked a little when she heard about her moving out. She thought no matter what it wouldn¡¯t be a problem departing with Risa, but she had grown so attached to that little girl. It broke her heart to see her leave so early. This is for the best She steeled her heart and decided to spend the last day together. ¡°Then how about we go explore around the city and go shopping?.¡± Risa nodded. Belil grabbed her tiny hand and rushed outside. Before, they left Risa also took her veil, and after putting it on they decided to have a play-date before departing tomorrow.
