《Legend Of Kaiser》 Chapter 1: The Beginning In a cold winter night, a rare spring breeze was blowing under the lukewarm radiance of the full moon, a boy was born, in the inner parts of the Mansion that the head of the Kaiser clan lived in. This was a boy that would soon rename this era with his own name and would riot through the entire world in the near future, an unparalleled genius. At this moment a small rock was glowing in the depths of the manor at the same time. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¨C In the mansion. ¡°He has a lustrous set of silver Hair just like his mother, Autumn and his brown eyes are just like yours, he will probably grow up to be very handsome. Izak what are you going to name him?¡± asked a man wearing a white robe, his face was starting to produce wrinkles however his eyes were vibrant with life, he had dark brown hair and blue eyes. He was looking at a small boy that was sleeping inside a cot, while he was sitting on his long desk. ¡°Thank you father I am truly flattered, me and my wife have decided to name him Leon,¡± the man named Izak answered with a delightful expression. Izak was a well built man, extremely handsome and had an aura that caused many to respect him. He wearing a suit except the coat was hanging on one of the coat racks and his red tie was hanging loose on his neck. He had brown hair and brown eyes completely different from his father. A nurse suddenly barged in, panting she had a face stricken with sadness, she advanced towards the head. The head however was furious smashing a curled up fist onto his long office desk because she had excused herself in with no respect to her superiors, but when she whispered something into his ears, his complexion darkened. He faced Izak and said with grief: ¡°Izak it seems... It seems Leon was born without the ability to absorb Natural energy, this means he won''t be able to form his own Vision. He may not be able to lead this clan when he grows older. It could cause serious problems with the elders.¡± Izak astonished, his face was full of mixed emotions: sadness, melancholy and grief, however he quickly relaxed himself. ¡°No Father. I intend on making him the head after I die, I¡¯ll make him stronger, strong enough to restore our clan, even a without a Vision I¡¯ll make him a force to be reckoned with,¡± he replied with no hesitation. A third man roared at Izak with indignation, ¡°Bullshit, Izak your son has no future without a Vision and you expect him to be as great of a genius as you who holds Nova, I will not accept such a weakling as our head, our clan has lost its former glory and you expect that child to be the next lord.¡± ¡°LERDO!!! I expect you to comply with Izak¡± shouted the Head. Lerdo was a muscular man, with brown hair and blue eyes, he was wearing training apparels while attending his brother and nephew. ¡°But Aster, he has no vision what point is there to make a weakling the next head,¡± however the head stared back at him disapprovingly, Lerdo still could not approve of this and stared at Izak: ¡°Okay, I¡¯ll accept but he has to complete the ''Path of Kings'' before the age of 16.¡± Uttered Lerdo indifferently. ¡°What!!! Are you trying to kill him?¡± exclaimed Aster Kaiser. however Izak swept his arms in front of the Head, ¡°Okay If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.uncle, you do not have to worry I swear by our clan name ¡®Kaiser¡¯, he will pass with ease under my guidance, but wait until that fateful day,¡± speaking with a cold, calm tone in his voice. The cold winter night ended like that with a promise that was made under the hands of fate and the presence of a full moon. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¨C 8 years later... Eden was a place that has not been fully explored since the arrival of Noah a hundred thousand years ago, just the continent they were living on was over a million times bigger than Earth, it was called the Earth Continent. Eden was a place that broke the laws of the universe that were set by those from the old world, it was a world that was full of natural energy, due to this energy the average age of a person increased to at least 400 years as long as they became a Prime and those that trained their Visions further would gain a longer life span, the further they went the more powerful they get, such as abilities to control nature or travel through dimensions. Eden was home to beasts that were unheard of and beautiful scenery that have never been seen, in this planet there is a place in the far east where the Kaiser clan rule, the city of origins, Reon. Reon is under the rule of the great Sarien Empire, however are controlled by the Kaiser Clan. -------- As the sun lit the blue sky, a boy was running through the Market place with his maid¡ ¡°Master Leon! wait for me,¡± exclaimed Saffire. ¡° Quickly Saffire, we don¡¯t have all day lets go,¡± Leon said enthusiastically. The people were looking with eyes full of pride seeing their future head in person, this boy being the son of Izak, they had naturally had high expectations of him. ¡°Eh? Isn¡¯t that the young master.¡± ¡°Yeah it is, Sasha¡± a girl replied delightfully ¡°I¡¯m sooo jealous of that maid, I would love to be a maid of young master Leon¡± replied Sasha with a hint of envy in her voice. Leon had grown up, his hair grown to his shoulders and his intelligent brown eyes was constantly wondering around. Brown eyes were extremely rare and had a hidden mystery behind it as most people had eyes that changed colours due to the worlds natural energy, he had white skin and a face that was closer to a girl than boy, because of his childish demeanour. Due to his looks he would often take advantage of others, he also had a sword clung to the right side of his waist, this was young Leon, the future head of the Kaiser clan. Both Saffire and Leon strolled into the market place, this week a lot more people came to trade, furthermore all the merchants were full of energy, trying to grab in as many customers as possible, Auctions taking place, rare herbs could be seen, exotic food with equally exotic fragrance being sold and weapons being bought by wealthy strangers. Leon walked around while looking around all the merchandise and smelling the aroma of food that was so fulfilling and alluring to Leon, pulling him towards the different stalls, Leon stared at the exotic foods as his mouth watered. ¡°Saff¡..¡± Leon said. ¡°AAAARRRHHH HELP ME,¡± shrieked a voice. Chapter 2: Rauber Clan North of the market there was a large group of people gathered around the area where Leon heard the scream. ¡°Saffire, what¡¯s going on?¡± Saffire was very skilled in the Wind element so she had learnt a special technique which allowed her to detect information from energy fluctuations this made her very skilled in gathering information: ¡°It seems that two individuals have come to cause a disturbance.¡± ¡°Hm¡ they¡¯ve come to our territory to cause a disturbance, let¡¯s go greet them.¡± As Leon and Saffire crossed the market they saw a large cluster of people, they slowly passed through them to the front of the crowd. Leon saw a member of the Kaiser clan guards, he looked like he was in his late twenties or early thirties, bloodied and bruised and his clothes torn to shreds. ¡°The guards of the Kaiser clan are such weakling, they can¡¯t even defend against a simple bout in swordplay with a junior.¡± the stranger retorted arrogantly looking down on the young guard. This young teen looked like he was only 13 years old, however his actions were arrogant and decisive. ¡°stop Kline¡. this guard isn¡¯t worth much, you are dirtying your hands, leave him be.¡± the man next to him spoke coldly, this man looked a bit younger than the man called Kline, he was dressed simply but carried a faint cold aura around him ¡°Yes Master Ed!¡± Leon noticed that both of them wore the insignia of the Rauber Clan, Why is the Rauber Clan here? Leon thought to himself. The Rauber clan were born from a bandit that decided to settle in the city of origins, on top of that it had become an extremely powerful force that were extremely hostile towards the Kaiser clan. The guard looked up arousing from his dazed state and looked up at Leon and seemed to have realised who he was. ¡°Young Lord, please leave these men are extremely powerful, they have reached the awaken state,¡± pleaded the young guard staring at Leon troubled by his appearance rather than his own injuries. Leon and Saffire moved forward and took a look at the young man, his injuries were deeper and far more serious than what he had first expected, he was pale due to the blood seeping out of him dyeing his torn white uniform red . ¡°Saffire take care of him and quickly call upon more guards,¡± Leon said while looking ahead staring at the two in front. As soon as Leon spoke the 2 men stared at him with features that showed they were very displeased with his actions, because they had been mucking about in the Kaiser Clan¡¯s territory they were about to be troubled by the guards. Kline looked at Leon and seemed to have realised something: ¡°Ah, isn¡¯t this kid the Young Lord of the Kaiser clan. Master let me play around with him for a bit¡ I¡¯ve heard that he trains in sword play, I want to see if his ability is any good or not since he is the son of Izak.¡± He spoke with a gleam of arrogance in his eyes as he smirked. Ed simply nodded his approval. Leon noticed that Kline even though was extremely haughty he still remembered to behave in front of the youngster he called ¡®Master¡¯ seeming as if that young man called Ed had a high position in the Rauber Clan. ¡°Guess that¡¯s a yes then. Kid let me see your ability,¡± He said joyously. ¡°Saffire quickly call the guards while I try to stall him,¡± said Leon. This guy is too arrogant, I¡¯ll have to hold out, I don¡¯t have the ability to face him. Kline stuck out his hand and suddenly a sword appeared which he immediately grabbed, it was a double edged sword and had a sinister black aura surrounding it. Leon immediately drew his blade from its sheath with haste preparing for the worst as he directed the blade at Kline. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.¡°You¡¯re very cautious, it¡¯s only a simple spar.¡± Kline said helplessly while staring at Leon as if he was sizing up his sparring partner. ¡°Let¡¯s start then¡± Leon uttered. Leon instantly ran straight at him and went straight for a stab, however Kline watched Leon closing down on him and simply jumped with incredible ease as if it was nothing and then with a smirk he slashed down with the momentum he had as he was descending, Leon raised his blade to prevent Kline¡¯s sword from maiming him. The force of Kline¡¯s sword was extremely heavy, smashing into Leon¡¯s sword like a hammer which caused Leon to immediately let go of the sword because he had lost all feeling in his hand as it numbed. His sword didn¡¯t stop it tore through Leon¡¯s clothes and carved a straight wound down from his left shoulder to his stomach. ¡°AAAAARRRGGGH!!!!¡± Leon bellowed in pain as blood soaked his shredded clothes, the surrounding people felt horrified at Kline¡¯s actions, Kline had just attacked a young 8 year old and not just any 8 year old this was Izak¡¯s son, the future head of the Kaiser clan. The people stared at Leon with pity, however on the other hand Saffire felt extremely distressed hoping that the guards could arrive much faster. ¡°HAHAHAHA!! You¡¯re weak. You may be stronger than the average person because you survived that attack, but you¡¯re nothing to an Awakened like me.¡± Kline Laughed haughtily while looking down at Leon, this was a right that the strong have, but it was extremely frustrating for Leon, ¡°I don¡¯t know why you still haven¡¯t used your Vision but I¡¯ll warn you now, if you don¡¯t activate it you¡¯re going to be crippled for the rest of your life because of my next attack.¡± Kline warned. Leon was now petrified, he shrivelled backwards there was no one strong enough to help me in this dire situation, so Leon spoke hesitantly: ¡°I don¡¯t have a Vision.¡± Vision was an ability that everyone had a chance to gain, like: controlling elements, gaining spirit weapons and getting innate abilities however a person needs to have the ability to absorb Natural Energy to manifest their own Vision which can be used constantly, however the average person would be able to use a Vision for simple uses because they didn¡¯t have the ability to surpass the first few ranks of the Awakened state. Leon was born without the ability to absorb Natural energy into his body, he was different he had no affinity with the energy and would never be able to use it. To think I would die like this. Why was I born without a Vision? Leon thought to himself helplessly, tears started forming on his eyes. ¡°Hm, no Vision¡ I expected more from Izak¡¯s son. The Kaiser clan will fall with such a worthless trash as the young master¡¡± Kline shook his head with disdain, ¡°I¡¯ll explain this to you now: Your clans glory days have gone and now your all WEAK. Noah is gone forever, you have no hope of revival while the Rauber clan will constantly rise in power.¡± Kline spoke with arrogance and pride. ¡°Well then I guess you die here¡± he said anti-climatically. ¡°Prison Arts: Dark Edge¡°, A dark menacing aura surrounded his sword as he cut horizontally at Leon, the sword attack had an extremely ferocious attack power, a slash arced through the air at Leon. It struck Leon¡¯s chest sending him flying like a bird that had its wings clipped. Leon slammed onto the floor, he felt an extremely agonising sense of pain, he was hurting all over wishing that the pain would disappear. Slowly his vision blurred, he could still feel drops of tears forming and everything gradually receded into darkness. The last thing he heard was Saffire¡¯s screams. Chapter 3: Runaway Leon awoke to see darkness all around him as he was lying flat in the empty world of darkness. Where am I? Am I dead? Leon thought to himself as he racked his brain thinking about what happened before he passed out. Just before I passed out I was attacked by Kline¡¯s ¡®Prison Arts¡¯. So what is this place? The barren darkness that Leon floated in felt very calm and familiar, he sensed warmth in the darkness and at the same time he noticed that the pain on his chest he felt just before was receding under the warm embrace of darkness. Leon slowly stood up and looked around, the place was pitch black, he couldn¡¯t see anything not even his own hands, however he felt safe¡ Suddenly a bright, blinding light lit up the darkness, temporarily blinding Leon when he opened his eyes he stared at the light source which was only a couple of metres away from him. It was a Golden clock which was rectangular in shape and on it were numerals that were foreign to Leon which he couldn¡¯t understand, the clock seemed ancient but there was a strange familiarity between Leon and the great ¡®Golden Clock¡¯. On the clock were ancient designs and inscriptions that Leon had never seen before, Leon subconsciously raised his hands towards the clock, it made no sense to him as to why he was trying to reach for it. What¡¯s this strange feeling? Why did I raise my hands? Leon questioned himself, he was subconsciously yearning for the protection of the darkness and radiance of the ¡®Golden Clock¡¯ which seemed all too familiar as if he had some connection to it. Without knowing the radiance of the clock grew brighter, simultaneously Leon saw that the clock¡¯s hands were winding clockwise, the clock became brighter lighting up the darkness which was visibly receding under the radiance of the Golden Clock. The darkness was disappearing leaving in its presence a bright blue sky and Leon noticed that he was standing in a vast field of flowers that had appeared out of nowhere and further in the distance he saw streams, large mountains and vast forests. The vast field of flowers were beautiful, he had never seen such flowers in the Kaiser Mansions garden, yet he knew the names of all these plants: It was a field full of yellow dandelions, tulips, roses and many other flowers blooming under the blue sky, they had a fresh floral scent which Leon breathed in. Leon turned to look at the Golden Clock again and he was shocked, everything in front of the clock was lit up and was a sight to behold however behind the clock was darkness and a reflection of the place Leon was in but it was darker. Despite this it was beautiful because it was under the protection of the night sky, lit up by the hanging stars, both worlds were split: one was day while the other was night and the clock was in between. ¡°¡So beautiful¡¡± Leon said with his eyes wide open, appreciating the scenery. All of a sudden the clock¡¯s hands rotated clockwise, time seemed to have moved faster as the plants were blown away by a warm breeze, this was a sight to behold giving Leon a fulfilling feeling. While Leon was gazing at the scenery the Golden Clock grew brighter and brighter until it was blinding flash of light and then everything disappeared. ¡°hmmm¡¡± Leon grumbled. ¡°Where am I now?¡± Leon said to himself as he awoke from the dream world that felt so real to him, he was still reminiscing the feelings he felt in the dream world. Leon slowly looked at himself and found out that he was covered by a velvet duvet on a grand bed, he was wearing his pyjamas and under that he had bandages covering his torso and arms. However all the injuries he gained from Kline and the pain he felt had disappeared, Leon felt refreshed as if he had spent the entire time relaxing near a lake. In the room Leon was in, contained a large wardrobe directly ahead of him and a desk was right next to it, with an open window close by. There were ornaments that had intricate designs all around the room; paintings were hung on the wall and there was a small vase on the table next to the bed containing multiple flowers but none of them looked like those he had seen in the dream. ¡°I¡¯m back in my room?¡± Leon asked himself. There was a bowl of porridge and water set aside for him next to the vase, the porridge had a herbal aroma and it was still hot, Leon instantly picked up the bowl and ravenously swallowed the porridge down¡ forgetting to breathe he chocked as he forcefully tapped his chest to swallow it down, he quickly engulfed the porridge and he chugged the water down, he patted his chest and burped loudly. ¡°Uuugh,¡± Leon groaned it seems he was quite famished at that moment and forgot his manners. ¡°I see, you¡¯ve woken up Leon, it seems you¡¯re quite energetic for someone who nearly died,¡± said a man leaning on the open door letting a fragrant breeze in. The man had a calm and gentle expression , was well built with white skin, brown eyes, brown hair that was cleanly cut and was swept backwards, he was also wearing an expensive black suit, his facial features were also similar to Leons. ¡°Father!!¡± Leon squealed, surprised at how he didn¡¯t notice his father entering the room, his father was precisely Izak the current head of the Kaiser clan. ¡° When did you enter the room?¡± Leon said sheepishly. ¡°I guess it was when you were devouring your meal, you must have been pretty hungry,¡± said Izak as he looked at Leon¡¯s embarrassed red face. ¡°Leon you¡¯re lucky that you¡¯re still alive, you were severely injured when the guards found you. If they hadn¡¯t arrived at the scene when they did, you would have died or at least been in critical condition.¡± ¡°2 Days!!¡± Leon said with shock, to Leon it felt like half an hour had passed while he was in that dreamscape, however 2 days had passed. Leon recalled the dream and had the urge to discuss it with his father. ¡°Father, may I ask you something? ¡± Leon inquired. ¡°I had a strange dream¡¡± ¡°Go on,¡± Izak replied as he sat down next to Leon on the side of the bed. As soon as he replied Leon spoke in detail about the place he was dreaming of and the plants he had seen¡ the plants that were definitely not from Eden from Leon¡¯s own knowledge of flowers, he also told him about the Golden Clock and the darkness. Throughout all this Izak had a very curious and dumbfounded expression. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.¡°It¡¯s really strange, there are no such plants in this world¡.. Even with its vast wildlife and floral species, and I have no idea what the significance of the darkness and Golden Clock have with the dream.¡± Izak proclaimed. What Leon did not know was that his father knew where he had been to, however he kept it from Leon. Leon had involuntarily travelled to the old world, Earth. His father had studied it¡¯s wildlife and history over the years and Leon had described them exactly as it¡¯s been described in the ancient books and records of the old world in the Kaiser clan¡¯s library: that was brought by the Kaiser clans ancestors. Izak had pondered how his son had journeyed to the old world and how the old world was related to the clock and darkness Leon spoke of, even so he dismissed the idea and went back to talking to his son. ¡°Leon take a rest for now, I¡¯ll be waiting in my room and I want you to come by as soon as you fully heal since I have some things to discuss with you.¡± ¡°Yes father,¡± Leon replied respectfully. Izak stood up and headed towards the door, as soon as he walked through the open door a well built man wearing a Keikogi was standing there. It was Leon¡¯s great-uncle, Lerdo Kaiser whom was a very strict man that would always wear training clothes unless there was an important meeting within the clan. He was a person accustomed to wearing these types of clothes for training. He had blue eyes, brown hair, a high nose and he had a strict look on his face as he stood in front of Izak. ¡°Uncle,¡± spoke Izak with a hint of surprise in his voice. ¡°Izak, I have some issues I have to speak with you about,¡± he said while looking over Izak¡¯s shoulder at Leon who was lying on the grand bed. Izak looked back at Leon and looked at Lerdo, he realised what the issue Lerdo came to talk about was. ¡°Okay let us speak outside,¡± Izak said as they both left, Izak closed the door shut. Leon sat on the bed as he just stared at the luxurious wooden door. When he saw his father look back at him Leon understood that they were about to speak of him, so he got out of the bed and tip toed straight towards the door, aiming to eavesdrop on his father and his great-uncles conversation. ¡°You know what your son has done Izak? Let me tell you if you haven¡¯t heard yet, he went and fought against a member of the Rauber clan and what¡¯s worse is that he lost. Do you understand how shameful that is to us, the Kaiser clan to have lost against such a worthless clan like the Rauber clan. We are the respected descendants of Noah¡. It¡¯s just despicable. Izak remember, if your son cannot conquer the path of kings before he is 16, he will lose his right to lead the clan¡ let me just be frank: your son is deplorable, doesn¡¯t have a Vision and worst of all is he brought shame to the clan!¡± Lerdo stated furiously as his voice grew louder. There was an awkward silence, Izak¡¯s expression was cold as he stared at his uncle, Lerdo seeing this stepped backwards, he was slightly scared knowing that he had just overstepped his boundaries by openly stating how worthless Izak¡¯s son was. ¡°Yes¡.. he is weak.¡± Izak stated coldly. Leon hearing this felt his mind go blank, he knew that Lerdo considered himself weak and unworthy of being the next head, it was extremely frustrating nonetheless Leon was able to take it because of his father¡¯s belief in him but what he heard just now, shattered Leon¡¯s confidence. Everything Lerdo was saying was true, he was truly worthless. Leon couldn¡¯t listen to this any longer and ran towards the wardrobe and took a pair of clothes out, got changed and dashed the pyjamas on the floor, he looked around the room and saw that the window was open, he quickly ran and jumped out through the window without looking back for even a moment. Leon¡¯s room was only on the first floor so he managed to land safely, at this moment he had one though and one thought only¡ to runaway. Leon couldn¡¯t take sitting down any longer and a furious flame was born within him, he wanted to get out of the city and travel to the great forest, south of Reon, to train, to become stronger and to prove his worth, he might get lucky and gain a treasure that¡¯ll help him get stronger. What Leon did not know was that his father had more to say: ¡°Yes he is weak, but do you know that he somehow entered the old world while he was dreaming,¡± said Izak Lerdo¡¯s eyes widened, his anger dispersed, he couldn¡¯t utter a single word¡. after a few moments he recollected his thoughts and replied in disbelief: ¡° I don¡¯t believe you.¡± ¡°You don¡¯t have to believe me, however everything he described was similar to the ancient books in the inner library, he holds some secrets that even he doesn¡¯t realise. He also has talent, he¡¯s already stronger than the average adult in swordplay. What Leon lacks is the ability to absorb the natural energy to increase his physical strength and speed or he would have definitely been a genius in our clan,¡± Izak said truthfully. ¡°I believe he has a great future ahead of him or why would he have dreamt of the old world, so when he recovers I¡¯m going to start training him in ¡®External Techniques¡¯, to make sure he¡¯ll pass the path of kings with just his talent.¡± Izak replied with confidence. ¡°Okay, as you wish, however you must remember your promise,¡± Lerdo exclaimed one last time and walked away through the large corridors of the mansion. Izak waited for Lerdo to leave and then turned back and opened the door to Leon¡¯s room, however he noticed no one was inside, the duvet was left crumpled on the bed and the wardrobes door was left open. Izak saw his sons pyjama¡¯s on the floor and the window was open with the gentle spring breeze entering the room blowing the curtains. Izak was confused and then suddenly realised. Leon must have heard what I was saying to Lerdo and misunderstood, Leon is still injured he mustn¡¯t have gotten far, Izak thought to himself. Izak ran and jumped through the window and landed on the ground and saw Leon¡¯s footsteps on the soil, he immediately followed the trail worrying where his injured son would go. Chapter 4: Forest of Origins Leon reached the great forest in a quarter of an hour, he passed through the city gates and ran through the barren grasslands to reach the forest, in terms of distance between the city and the great forest it was only around a hundred miles. ¡°¡.¡± Leon had reached the outside of the great forest and was in awe at the sight of the forest, no matter where he looked he couldn¡¯t see the ends of the forest, it was too enormous for Leon to comprehend. The great forest had a name, the Forest of Origins. There were 2 reasons why the forest was called the Forest of Origins: Firstly over a 100,000 years ago this was where Noah and the humans from the old world first arrived at and the city of Reon was the first city built by humans. Secondly at the centre of the forest there is a giant tree that towers over the entire forest , this trees name is the Tree of Life furthermore there is only one tree of its kind in the entire continent and it was so big that it could be seen over a thousand miles away from the forest. Legend has it that a fruit produced by the Tree of Life is a priceless treasure, that all the powerhouses on the entire continent would go mad for at just the sight of it, however it is said to be guarded by a Demonic beast. A demonic beast is unparalleled in power not even the strongest powerhouses would take the risk of facing such a monster, however it has never been encountered, but the power it emanates throughout the entire forest, keeps the beasts in the forest in order. The forest of Origins is considered the most dangerous place in the Sarien Kingdom. All the beasts in the forest have gained the blessings from the tree¡¯s natural energy, and are unmatched in power. There are Prime ranked beasts that were the lowest level found in the forest and are extremely powerful. Prime ranked beasts were a level higher than Awakened ranked and gained special abilities by increasing their ranks and were menacing monsters. Leon stared at the huge trees that were in front of him and was even more dumbfounded at the sight of the Tree of Life that was so tall that it soared over the clouds, having its branches hidden by the clouds. He could faintly see white patches on the trunk of the tree, that seemed to be snow. From where Leon was standing he was over tens of thousands of miles away from the Tree of Life. What was called the great forest was more of a rainforest, with trees that would elevate over a hundred meters high and vines that would descend from the high branches . The trees would cover the sky with their green leaves absorbing the light energy, there was a murky smell that the jungle protruded, there were bushes with dangerous fruits that were definitely poisonous, and there was an alluring sweet smell to it, similar to honey, that would make the average person eat it without any hesitation, however Leon stayed clear from it. Leon walked along the outside of the forest searching for a man made path and finally found one that was safe enough for him to start his journey into the forest. It wasn¡¯t humid or very hot due to the natural energy found in the Forest of Origins. The path was only 2 metres wide, wide enough for a group of mercenaries to travel through, the path was covered with vines hanging down from trees and wild bushes, Leon would hear roars from beasts occasionally which scared the living daylights out of him. After walking along the path for an hour Leon decided to stop for a bit and rest for a moment, he had encountered many domestic animals, but was not interested in hunting them down. ¡°AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH¡± Just as Leon was about to lie down, he heard a shriek, the direction the scream came from was east and to Leon it sounded like a girls scream. For a moment Leon hesitated to check but he steeled himself and decided to check it out. Leon nimbly raced through the bushes cut through the vines that were blocking the way and also encountered some domestic animals, but decided to ignore them. As Leon moved closer to where the scream was first heard a putrid smell stormed into his nose, Leon immediately felt nauseous, the smell of blood was in the air. Leon carried on walking however this time he was a lot more cautious and was treading the path more carefully, he slowly came to a stop in front of a small bush, as he looked through the bush he saw a small grass plane. Leon moved his gaze as he hid in the bush, Leon suddenly froze because of what he saw, there was a pile of black corpses covered in a pool of blood, Leon slowly turned his gaze, all of a sudden he caught sight of a small girl near the pile of corpse and in front of her was a Fire Wolf. ¡°*Gulp*¡± Leon swallowed saliva, he froze up when he saw the Fire Wolf. A Fire Wolf was a Prime being and these type of wolves usually stayed in packs, they were definitely not something to be trifled with, it¡¯s fur was red and white, it exuded a flame type aura that acted as an armour burning anything that came close to it, the grass surrounding it had been completely burned black because of it. The Fire Wolf had golden eyes that would intimidate most opponents of the same level and would strike fear into those that were weaker. The Fire Wolf at this moment was angry, very angry, it seemed that these people trespassed into its territory and it was now releasing a bloodthirsty aura and baring it¡¯s fangs at the little girl. The girl looked as if she was the same age as Leon, she had purple hair and brown eyes, just like Leon, she was a lot prettier than all the girls that Leon had seen in Reon that were her age. She was also taller than Leon. The girl was wearing an expensive long white silk dress that covered her body and wore a once blue cardigan over it, which showed she was from a wealthy family, nevertheless it was now covered in blood. Currently she was cowering in fear as there was no one there to save her in this dire situation. The corpses in front of her are most likely her guards, Leon thought to himself. At that moment the Fire Wolf moved closer to her Baring it¡¯s fangs, directing its killing intent at her, while she cowered in fear, stumbling backwards trying to get away from the wolf. Suddenly the Fire wolf pounced at her¡. ¡°AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!¡± She shrieked in despair, tears masking her face as she shut her eyes closed. At that moment Leon jumped out of the bush and immediately picked a rock and threw it straight at the Fire Wolf. The rock slammed into the Fire Wolf while it was in mid lunge causing it to be stunned for a split second, Leon instantly raced towards the girl and pulled her up from the ground, Leon didn¡¯t understand why he helped her, but he knew that he couldn¡¯t watch her being torn into pieces without doing anything. This whole process took only a matter of moments. ¡°Are you alright?¡± Leon asked. The girl opened her eyes and looked up at Leon, she was shivering in fear but still managed to nod. ¡°Can you run?¡± Leon inquired. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. She simply nodded again, slightly hopeful for the turn of events. ¡°Ok then get ready to run when I tell you to, you have to run west from hear and you¡¯ll find a path and follow it up north and you¡¯ll find my home city Reon.¡± she nodded again, Leon couldn¡¯t get any words out of her, he figured she must have been petrified because of the Fire Wolf. The wolf finally regained focus and was now glaring at Leon with even more ferocity than before, it was irritated to the point where all its blood thirst was directed at him, the pressure released by the Fire Wolf was insane, Leon had never felt so scared before. So this is the level of a Prime beast, Leon thought. The Fire Wolf dug it¡¯s forelegs into the ground causing cracks to appears on the ground, the cracks grew until it reached Leon and the girls feet. ¡°Ahoooo¡± The Fire Wolf howled. The fire Wolf had activated one of its abilities. Fire erupted from the cracks and swiftly drove through the cracks drawing closer to Leon and the girl, the flames roared into the sky releasing a strong heat wave. Leon quickly hugged the girl and rapidly jumped to the side and landed near the edge of the grass plane. Leon turned to look at the place he was just standing and a spine-chilling fear swept through him, the flames were still ongoing however the grass and earth around it was completely charred black, even the previous corpses had been turned to ash. Leon¡¯s body was quivering as cold sweat matted his forehead. Leon stood up, the flames were temporarily hiding them, Leon took this opportunity and turned to face the girl who was still in his embrace. ¡°Quickly get out now! Just do what I told you, I¡¯ll stall this mutt for a while, while you escape,¡± Leon yelled as he tried to hide the fear and despair in his voice, this was the second time in the past couple of days where he was facing death head on. She looked up at Leon and opened her small mouth and asked: ¡°Name¡. Can you give me your Name?¡± Leon couldn¡¯t help but smile, they were both in a life and death situation and she was asking for his name. ¡°Leon¡. Leon Kaiser from the Kaiser clan.¡± Leon smiled, ¡°Now get out.¡± ¡°If you survive this, I will return this favour with my life in the future,¡± the girl said seriously. Leon couldn¡¯t help but smile helplessly, he was feeling hopeless inside, despair was spreading through him. She then turned and quickly ran into the bushes and was gone. Hm¡ I forgot to ask her for her name, Leon thought to himself. Expectedly when the fire died down the Fire Wolf was still there and it was still displaying a heavy killing intent. The fire wolf opened its mouth, small red lights started coalescing in front of its mouth forming a red ball that grew bigger as more energy gathered into it. Leon knew that if he was alone he might be able to survive this, so he heightened his perception preparing for the concentrated Fireball it was about to release. A burning red fireball was fully formed, levitating in front of its mouth. The Fire Wolf dug it¡¯s forelegs into the ground and shot a Fire ball at Leon. The Fireball covered the distance between Leon and the Fire Wolf in a split second, Leon jumped to the right at the last moment to prevent the trajectory of the Fireball to change¡ ¡°AAAAGGHHHH!!!¡± Leon bellowed in absolute pain. Agonising pain coursed through Leon starting from his waist, it felt like he was being burned alive while being stabbed with over a hundred needles at the same time, to Leon this felt over a hundred times worse than the injury Kline caused him. Leon could barely keep his conscious as he looked at the place he was standing just moments ago and there a trail left by the Fireball was left behind, the fiery heat had burned the grass and when it passed Leon it had struck countless trees leaving large gaping holes that were charred black, only leaving the stench of burned wood. Leon shivered that attack was at the peak level of a Prime beast. If I was just a split second too late I would be dead right now, Leon thought to himself as he struggled under the unbearable pain he was feeling, the pain he felt was caused by just the remnant power of the Fireball. Leon¡¯s waist was bleeding profusely as a chunk of his skin was burned because of it. If I don¡¯t get away I¡¯ll die here¡ Leon felt feeble as he could do nothing in the face of absolute power. Leon stood there, feeling helpless and drained, he couldn¡¯t do anything to stop the bleeding, he was going to die soon he thought. The Fire Wolf was collecting Fire energy again, preparing for another attack as it dug its forelegs even deeper into the ground. Leon¡¯s emotion was in melancholy, utter despair, he was unwilling to die as he stood at the exact same spot. All hope was lost, his vision blurred as tears started forming in his eyes¡ I give up¡ Goodbye¡ Mother¡ Father¡Saffire¡ Leon thought to himself as tears rolled down his cheeks. Memories flashed through his eyes as he looked up at the Tree of Life, he remembered the love his Mother gave him as she fed him as a small boy and the guidance his father gave him when he taught him sword play at a young age, he remembered how Saffire played with him and also the bad memories of how he was looked down upon by his Great-uncle Lerdo and the other members from the clan. Leon remembered how his parents were the only ones to believe in him¡ In the last moments of life a spark ignited in him¡ I want to live, I don¡¯t want to die. If I die it¡¯ll just prove that Great-Uncle Lerdo was right, in Leon¡¯s last moments he wanted to live, the will to live was birthed from the despair he was feeling. ¡°Ahoooo¡± The Fire Wolf howled as it shot the Fireball across the air towards Leon. ¡°Thump¡ Thump¡¡± Suddenly a profound energy was released from within him, everything slowed down, the wind had stopped blowing the birds were slowing down it was as if time was slowing down, all this was happening in front of Leon. ¡°No it can¡¯t be¡.. Time has stopped,¡± Leon said to himself, he could see the fire beam had stopped in mid air. ¡°Kid, Do you want my help?¡± Chapter 5: Chaos ¡°Kid, Do you want my help?¡± An ominous and archaic voice echoed in Leon''s mind. "Yes..." Before Leon could even finish what he was saying he blacked out and lost consciousness. Time slowly started moving again Just as the Fire Wolf attacked, Izak arrived at the scene, his usually calm face was now in horror, all he could do was watch his only son being killed by the Fire Wolf. "Boom!" The Fireball shot at Leon slammed into him, causing huge ripples of energy to spread through the surrounding, causing a huge explosion that destroyed everything, ash and dust floated in the air covering Leon''s figure. Why was I too slow? I should¡¯ve arrived sooner, these were Izak¡¯s thoughts, an unbearable pain was striking his heart, it was excruciating, he was choking as he breathed in. Tears rolled down his cheeks, his only son was killed, all he could do was curse himself as he watched the dust cover his soon to be revealed sons corpse, and mourn his death. The cloud of dust started to slowly clear, Izak was still in pain not caring about anything that was occurring in this despicable world, that attack was at the level of an abysmal beast even Izak himself would have problems to defend against it. As the dust cleared up a figure could be seen, Izak couldn¡¯t believe what he was seeing, he was dumbfounded, filled with joy at this prospect. Leon was standing on the exact same position as he previously was in, the entire area in front of Leon was destroyed, there was a path of devastation from the attack, all you could see was the earth and charred soil. However behind Leon all the greenery, flowers, trees and wood life were spared, protected by Leon. Leon looked different he had a different air about him, his body was sending visible ripples of energy into the air causing the nearby birds to flee in terror. He had a dark aura surrounding him, similar to the fiery aura of the Fire Wolf, however he was emanating a sinister dark aura, a foreboding sensation. The black aura was far more powerful when compared to the Fire Wolf''s aura. Leon¡¯s appearance was changing in front of Izak''s very eyes, his lustrous silver hair was receding leaving Jet black hair in its place, an ominous smile crept onto Leon''s face, his clothes were torn from the previous exchange and his brown eyes had changed, one of his eyes was brown while the other was purple. Leon''s eyes hid ancient, cold mysteries within it, not the previous childish, joyful impression, now his eyes could pierce through anything as if it could search your soul and make you limp just by making eye contact. Leon''s strange appearance intimidated Izak even though he was hidden in the bushes. Staring at the Fire Wolf, a cold, arrogant yet archaic voice escaped Leon ¡°Fire Wolf, I know you can understand me and can speak human, I¡¯ll tell you this now: hurting my retainer is a grave sin, so I''m going to kill you now, you mutt.¡± The Fire Wolf was astonished, its attack would usually be able to annihilate a small mountain. How did this boy survive? he nearly died moments ago... How does this child know I can speak. However the Fire Wolf quickly regained focus. ¡°Foolish child, you dared to enter my territory and even allowed my prey to escape¡ You''re just seeking death,¡± The Fire Wolf spoke haughtily with a low growl. The Fire Wolfs fur started to stand on end, immediately readying itself into a stance where it dug its paws into the ground once again preparing for another attack. ¡°HAHAHA, you think your measly power is going to harm me,¡± Leon laughed haughtily. The Fire Wolf stored energy and released six consecutive beams of fire that flew at Leon¡. tearing through the clear grass plane, Leon stood there not moving an inch, his eyes were staring straight at the raw power of the beam, even in this hopeless situation, a glint in his eyes portrayed confidence and superiority towards the Fire Wolf. Leon lifted his left hand pointed at the air and then three black orbs appeared in mid air surrounded by a white light similar to an eclipse, the orbs distorted the surroundings as if it was trying to absorb everything, at the same time a black long sword, four foot long materialised onto his right hand sending throbbing ripples into the atmosphere, it had a jet black hilt including a gold guard, a jet black double edged blade with faint gold inscriptions could be seen. The sword couldn¡¯t directly be focused at, it easily tricks the mind appearing formless like fire, also emanating a black aura with a faint gold light surrounding the black aura. Each orb floated in front of a Fire beam. The Fire beams tore through the empty grassland, when it came into contact with the black orbs, it entered and vanished, the black orbs had an awe striking absorption ability. Nevertheless three beams had escaped the grasps of the black orbs, Leon brandishing his black sword, he swiped the air with the edge of the blade sending a visible black energy wave slashing at the three remaining fire beams that flew at Leon like arrows, the energy wave split the three fire beams into six, blowing it up on the spot releasing a visible shockwave and dust into the air. Suddenly¡. the Fire Wolf appeared right behind Leon, it travelled a hundred meters in that instance and its right claw arced down against Leon¡¯s back¡. Nothing happened, the Fire Wolf couldn''t move, its claws was stuck in the arcing motion. There was no action. Nothing moved, sound nor breeze existed in the space between the Fire Wolf and Leon. Izak was stunned, he was outside the space of the area and saw everything that happened from the black orbs and sword, to the Fire Wolf stuck in motion. Who is this? What¡¯s happening? Why is nothing moving? Leon doesn¡¯t have a Vision and why did his hair turn black? That sword¡! these questions and thoughts were running through Izak¡¯s mind, he was in awe at the same time. Simultaneously the Fire Wolfs mind was in a state of dread, it couldn¡¯t move, time stopped only it¡¯s conscience was aware of what was occurring. From Leon¡¯s back the Fire Wolf saw Leon¡¯s lips curving, enjoying the moment, energy ripples were being sent by the sword to the surroundings continuously distorting space. The Fire Wolfs mind was in the depths of fear, never had it felt so powerless, it could only relate this fear to the Forests king. He was in the hands of Leon and couldn¡¯t move a single inch. The Fire Wolf was frightened, this ability deserved fear. The Fire Wolf suddenly noticed he was able to move again. In an instant it moved a hundred meters away from Leon. ¡°HAHAHA!!¡.. Mutt, were you so fear stricken that you didn¡¯t even notice your own wound? Leon was humoured by this event, he was casually playing around with the Fire Wolfs life. ¡°Huh?¡± The Fire Wolf looked down at where it¡¯s right paw was¡ there was nothing except blood streaming down onto the grass dyeing it red. It was petrified. Astonished. The Fire Wolf had lost the sensation of pain, pain was the sensation that allowed him to feel alive, give him the sense that he could live. However its mind was blank. ¡°A¡aaa¡aa,¡± the Fire wolf lost its will to speak. ¡°AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!¡± A large roar was emitted straight after, shaking even Izak who was hidden far away. This pain wasn¡¯t physical, the Fire Wolfs conscious was being torn apart in excruciating¡ agonising, psychological pain, Its paw wasn¡¯t there, except it was replaced by a flat surface and it was covered by a flood of blood. ¡..a¡.a¡hu¡What¡¯s with this kid, he¡¯s too strong¡.. I have to run away. After the Fire Wolfs crazed roar it had regained some sense, but it was exhausted, the pain was both physical and mental. The Fire Wolf turned tail to run into the forest, but it noticed it couldn¡¯t move in the slightest. ¡°mmh¡¡±Leon Frowned. ¡°You want to run away? *sigh* You¡¯re probably wondering why you can¡¯t move? I¡¯ll tell you why: I¡¯ve paused time so your body won¡¯t move but your mind is still functioning and understands it surroundings¡" Leon said with a cold smile. "mmh, guess my power isn¡¯t strong enough," he muttered to himself. "And the black orb is a creation of my darkness ability.¡± Leon was smiling indifferently as he said this. The Fire Wolf didn''t understand what Leon was saying, but it still felt fearful of Leon. ¡°Who are you?¡± ¡°mmh..¡± Leon Sighed. ¡°I guess the world forgot about me¡± mumbling to himself and then spoke, ¡°Cubs like you don¡¯t know who I am? Just call me Chaos.¡± A calm laugh escaped him. Izak at this moment was thunderstruck, ¡°Chaos¡.¡± Izak knew his son was born without a vision, yet right now Leon was actually using a Vision, not just one but 2 Visions. A Fusion Vision. What was more amazing, astounding in fact, was that he had both Time and Darkness. Even though it was like this Izak has never heard of someone called Chaos and this person was in Leon¡¯s body. ¡°Fire Wolf, I¡¯ll give you 10 seconds to run away, after that your demise is certain,¡± Chaos¡¯s personality was like a storm changing constantly, he was like a child who had found a new plaything. 10¡ The Fire Wolf able to move again, it turned tail and ran into the bushes, expecting to lose this new enemy. 9¡ 8¡ 7¡ In 4 seconds it had already travelled 3 mile into the jungles. ¡°10 seconds is enough for me to get away from this child,¡± the Fire Wolf was certain that it could escape, its confidence was increasing by the moment, despite that it was exhausted, otherwise it would have moved a lot faster. 6¡ 5¡ 4¡ 3¡ 2¡ 1¡ 0¡ The Fire Wolf had already travelled 10 miles into the forest, mind you the forest had a radius of 15000 miles. when it came into another grassy plane¡.. Chaos was standing there in the middle two hundred meters ahead of the Fire Wolf, smiling¡. It seemed innocent, but the Fire Wolf¡¯s mind was in dismay. Ten seconds was a huge head start for a Prime and Fire Wolfs were one of the fastest types, yet Chaos travelled so much faster, traversing ten miles in less than a second. Without saying anything Chaos disappeared leaving a dark mist and appeared in front of the Fire Wolf. Chaos waved his black blade and severed the Fire Wolfs head of its shoulders, the Fire Wolfs eyes were wide open in shock and terror as it crashed onto the floor; blood sprayed out of its neck like a fountain, yet not a drop touched Leon or his Sword, but dyed the grass red, the body dropped dead on the floor. Chaos walked away from the limp body into the middle of the plane, staring at the Tree of Life: ¡°Guess my works done¡±¡ he swayed for a moment and dropped onto the grass, the blade clattered onto the grass bed that was rocking back and forth. ¡°Rustle¡.Rustle.¡± Moments later a black blur appeared standing next to Leon¡¯s body, picked up his body and carried the sword and departed into the wilderness. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª A minute before in the centre o the Forest: A Beast was Slumbering on the roots of the Tree of Life, right next to it there was a cub, which was also in a state of slumber. The beasts body, constantly released waves of energy preventing any beasts or humans from entering its domain. The Beast was the Tree of Life''s guardian, A Lion, renowned as the king of beasts throughout the world, no being would dare stand in its way. It was gold in colour, it¡¯s mane was a darker shade of gold, with white feather like Wings springing from its shoulder blades, This was the rumoured legendary majestic demon beast king of the forest. At the same time throbbing energy ripple moved through the forest, birds could be seen fleeing, the energy ripple made its way to the centre of the forest towards the Slumbering lion, his closed eyes opened momentarily, in that moment releasing a terrifying aura, causing the fleeing birds to drop down from the sky, as they laid dead on the floor. The Lion looked at the cub for a moment, the cub looked up at the Majestic Lion and then vanished from the spot it laid, it seemed as if information was transmitted mentally to it. The Lion stared vaguely into the distance and then returned back to its slumber. Chapter 6: Origin Vision "AAAAAAHHHH....huh...huu..huu" Leon woke up with a huge shriek, then gasped for air, his body was stiff with exhaustion, his forehead covered with sweat, his face pale, devoid of blood, his entire torso covered with bandages. Knitting his eyebrows: "What happened? Where am I this time?" This is the second time he was unconscious in the past week and right now he was in a worse state than he was the previous occasion. Looking around Leon found a familiar scenery. In the room Leon was in, there was a large wardrobe ahead of him, ornaments with intricate designs all around; paintings were hung on the wall and there was a small vase on the table next to the bed containing multiple flowers just like before except they were replaced with yellow springs a flower that radiated a warm yellow light and blue ring roses that had a cool soothing effect, both plants had medicinal effects and were pleasurable to look at. "Huh... I''m back in this room, eh?" Something was out of place in this room , something Leon didn''t recognise, a Jet black sword was placed on a chest of drawers, the likes of which he has never seen, it was dark, darker than black with a golden guard. A domineering, oppressive aura was being emitted by the sword, a faint golden inscription was on the sword. "Azeon." The words left his lips without him realising. As soon as the words left him a shiver ran down his spine, his heart trembling, all his hair stood on end and a deathly pressure pushed down on him for a mere moment and vanished at the same instance. "What was that?" trembling, Leon was scared stiff, beads of cold sweat dropped down from his face onto the bandages. "..Bang!... " The door was shot open. A woman ran in wearing a long white dress with gold designs and a scarf covering her neck, her hair had fell to her back and had a silver lustre to it. She had a face that was similar to Leons, her eyes were a deep blue, she had a worry stricken face. This was Leons mother, Autumn. "Leon what happened? I heard a shout from your room." staring at him lovingly, while her eyes were moist with worry. "Mother..." "Autumn, calm down.." A calm voice carried by a man with a clear smile on his face entered, wearing a black suit, it was Izak. "Father!" Leon tried standing up, as soon as Izak entered the room. "Lie down Leon.... Autumn leave the room for a moment I have some things to discuss with Leon, you can catch up with him after it''s done." Izak spoke with a serious expression. "Is it the issue we spoke of before?" Autumn asked with concern. Izak didn''t reply. "Ok, I''ll stay outside." Autumn stood up and left the room , closing the door behind her as she left. There was an awkward silence between Leon and Izak. "How long was I out for?" Leon asked breaking the silence. "Three days, you''re lucky I got there at that moment or you wouldn''t be here with us today." Izak replied. An awkward silence drifted between them again, Izak stood next to the door stared at Leon, pondering for a few seconds, then spoke again: "Leon, you don''t have to tell me why you ran away." Leon looked down shamefully. "Leon you''re too weak, you couldn''t protect yourself then and got caught by a Fire Wolf. You do understand that you were born without a Vision?" Leon frowned, however he still nodded at this fact. Izak looked at Leon sorrow stricken face: "Eden is an unbelievably huge planet and we haven''t even explored the Earth Continent fully yet." said Izak while Leon listened attentively. Leon loved to hear about the planet, it was his dream to be free to explore the world. "Everyone here is born with the ability to absorb the natural energy of this world to form their own Vision, Leon you also know that when a Vision first materialises it is known as the Awakened state. Every human in this world holds a Vision however reaching the prime state is extremely difficult, only 10 in every 100 person would reach that stage." Izak explained. "This is the natural evolution of the human body because of the natural energies influence. When a child is born they already have the ability to absorb the energy, so we can determine if they are able to gain a Vision... However Leon you are a rare exception you''re body doesn''t absorb the energy, it''s not just that, you''re body rejects most of the energy of this world. Because of this you have no Vision, looked down upon, considered weak and unworthy of status. Only the strong have the right to stand on top in this world." These words were the horrifying truth, each word was like a small needle stabbing at his heart. He already knew all this, his father repeating it just made it worse. "Nevertheless a Vision is not the only way a person can fight, there are many ways a person can become stronger, like using Special Weapons that are forged with strong and rare minerals, training under a Fighting style, Technology etc. Even though you can''t absorb the energy, you can use techniques to use it as an external source of power increasing your physical strength. Although those with Visions will have a natural advantage over you when you fight. Even though it''s like that, using these External techniques you''ll have a foothold to stand on." Izak walked towards the bed and stood besides Leon staring at him and smiling. "Leon you have something that they don''t have, a strong will and tenacity to become stronger, so from now onwards I''ll train you and teach you so you can get stronger." Leon stared at Izak, he was jolted by the joy he was feeling, he was exhilarated by this new piece of information. He thought to himself, I can finally become stronger, yes, yes, yes!!! The pain of being all alone, being looked down upon by everyone even by some of his family was unbearable, he could now have a chance to prove them all wrong . Realisation dawned on him, "What happened to the girl?" Leon exclaimed. "What girl?" Leon hesitated for a moment thinking if he should speak of what happened, but still explained everything to Izak. "I didn''t see any girl, but what you did is impressive, at first I thought you provoked the Fire Wolf for no reason, however to think it was to protect someone, that takes courage." Izak said proudly "Get ready Leon, you''re first lesson will be in Two days time, until then you can rest, I''ll be leaving now." Izak opened the door and left the room. Autumn walked into the room a few seconds later with a tray of Leon''s favourite food, a servant came in with her bringing a chair, which he placed next to him. Autumn sat down with the food next to him and told the servant to leave the room. She started feeding him since he was still injured and resting. He thought back to what happened three days ago. ------------------------------------ The Fire Wolf turned tail and ran into the bushes. Chaos who was possessing Leon turned around staring at the bush that Izak was hiding in. Chaos lifted his hand and murmured something that Izak couldn''t make out. "Izak come out, I know you are here." Chaos said suddenly. Izak was shocked. How''d he know I was hiding in this bush, I didn''t move in the slightest or make noise. nonetheless he still walked out of the bushes and came into the grass plane, staring at his son, he was an 8 year old child but his eyes spoke a different story: of a being so ancient and powerful that he couldn''t comprehend it, the boy was still his child his hair had changed colour and his aura was different. "Izak don''t worry... I am only here to give you an explanation and then I will take my leave... Oh don''t worry about the Fire Wolf, he is stuck within my Time Realm and he doesn''t even notice." Said Chaos, with a tone that showed that this was a mere game for him. "Also after I leave this boy, he will be severely exhausted so I need you to be there to pick him up when I''m done." All Izak could do was nod, he didn''t know what was happening and who this was. Chaos eyed him and then spoke: "Let me introduce myself, I am Chaos and that''s all you need to know about me for now... Izak I want to ask you something: you''re probably wondering why your son has no Vision? I have the answer, do you want to know?" His lips arced as he spoke. Izak was shocked, he always wondered why his son had no Vision and why Leon''s body was rejecting the Natural energy. "Yes!!" Jolted back into reality he spoke with haste. Chaos smirked as he already knew what the response would be " Your son is different, unique and a very special being. His body rejects the Natural energy of Eden because his Vision is too powerful and not something that can be manifested by a weak source energy or it would be too weak. He is loved by the energy, the elements of the world, however his body is too majestic and arrogant; rejecting the weak, average elemental energy . Only Dark Energy and the Ethereal Energy of Time is accepted and would suffice his body, everything else is rejected. I''ve demonstrated Leon''s ability today; darkness and time, a power so frightening that you can''t comprehend it''s depth at your level... a Dual Origin Vision. A gift from heaven, given to mankind." Chaos said arrogantly. "The manifestation of his Vision is nearing its completion, within a few years he''ll awaken, releasing an insurmountable amount of energy. Prepare him for it or he''ll be burdened by his own power in the future." "O..Ori...Origin Vision, he has an Origin ability? This..This," Izak expressed his bewilderment not being able to believe what he heard. The amount of People in the Earth Continent with an Origin Vision was unknown, nevertheless those with an Origin Vision in the Sarien Empire was less than a handful of people which shows how rare they are, however a Dual Origin Vision was unheard of. "My time is limited, just before I go I will leave this for the boy." Chaos revealed the sword to Izak "you must come, take this sword and give it to the boy... It''s name is Azeon, the Divine Sword of the Fallen Emperor. " The name of the Sword sent a chill down Izak''s spine. "As for the origin of the sword, it is not for you to know." Chaos said with extreme care. Izak saw Chaos stare at the sword, his carefree attitude was gone and for a split second Izak saw a killing intent so deep that it would drive those nearby insane, but it disappeared just as fast as it appeared. Was that a dream... It was probably just my imagination...Let''s just forget about it, Izak thought as he shivered slightly. "Do not forget to give Azeon to the boy and do prepare him before his manifestation takes place or his body won''t be able to handle the power..." Chaos spoke calmly while looking at Izak. "Yes... I''ll prepare him, but what should I tell the boy..." Izak asked anxiously as he couldn''t make a story up without Chaos''s permission or there would be a possibility of enraging him. Izak even though he was a Grand Prime he couldn''t sense even a fragment of the power from the small body in front of him, he could only sense an undeniably powerful pressure from the boy. "Tell the boy nothing of my existence, he will find out when the time comes, tell him that you saved him... but you may tell him the existence of the sword.... You''ll find this boy and his body, Ten Miles up North... I will now take my leave." said Chaos, he then turned around walked a few meters and then a dark Mist appeared as if it was a doorway and he walked through it... And he was gone. Izak stood there dumbfounded and Exhilarated at the fact that Leon was born with an Origin Vision, a Dual Origin Vision. I should take my leave now and find Leon. Izak left abruptly leaving a heavy breeze behind as he travelled towards Leon''s location. -------------------------------------- Izak stood in the corridor of the mansion, "The time is nearing, I hope Leon will become strong enough to drag our clan back into the biggest stage on this continent.." his face suddenly distorted into an expression of pure hatred and resentment." One day we''ll return... We''ll get our revenge... be prepared... ASURA CLAN." Chapter 7: External Techniques Early in the morning of the next day a boy wearing a tank top and joggers was with a man standing in the Garden that was behind the Kaiser Mansion. It had a giant lake behind it, large groups of boulders to one side and fields of flowers, pink, green, yellow, you name it that colour was there, cultivated by the servants of the mansion for the enjoyment of Izak''s family. It had a relaxing atmosphere perfect for training. This boy was Leon and his father, Izak. "You healed pretty quickly... Ah... that is pretty normal for members of our clan so it''s not much of an issue." Izak exclaimed with an air of pride, "So Leon first I''ll need to hand you something..." As he spoke a butler wearing a white linen shirt, black trousers, a black swallow-tailed coat and white gloves came in holding a sword stand with a sheathed black sword on it, It''s guard was gold and the handle was simple with no unwanted accessories. Even though it was sheathed it still had the oppressing and domineering pressure that Leon noticed when he first saw it. "Ah, thank you" Izak smiled and took the sword, while the butler was staying a respectful distance away from Izak. "You may leave now," the butler bowed and left taking the sword stand with him. Izak looked at the sword and then unsheathed it and a heavy pressure poured out from the double edged sword. It was 4 feet long, had a black surface that dimmed the brightness of the morning sun, yet the golden inscription on it released a radiance that was warm under its oppressive pressure. "Leon, this sword is called ''Azeon'', the divine Sword of the Fallen Emperor. As for its origin, it is unknown, nonetheless do not underestimate it, you can tell how powerful it is just from the pressure its releasing." Izak explained solemnly. The Fallen Emperor... just what kind of person was he? Leon nodded as he thought to himself. "This sword has been predestined to be yours and you will start using this sword from this day onwards." said Izak. "It''s mine?" Leon questioned. "Yes it is, train carefully, try your hardest and this is some advice... this swords true power will never be shown unless it accepts you and you become worthy of it, however you can still be able to bind it with your blood for now. Let me first release my binding... the sword is very heavy so move back a bit." As Izak took away his blood binding, the sword dropped onto the ground instantaneously, leaving a small crater. Leon was astonished but stayed calm while he walked towards Azeon, he crouched onto the crumbled ground and curiously tried to pick it up, he pulled and pulled but it wouldn''t even budge an inch. "Bind it with your blood, it cannot be picked up with either of our strength," Izak said with a smile, interrupting Leon''s hardest attempts to lift the sword. Leon nodded and then tried to bite his finger, but hesitated, he was still a kid and he couldn''t stand the pain. Izak sighed, guess he''s still a kid... Izak drew a pocket knife and grabbed Leon''s thumb and made a small cut, Leon could only clench his teeth tight. "Now bind it.." said Izak. Leon crouched let the drops of blood to pour onto the sword, the sword immediately absorbed the blood and it released an even brighter radiance than before. "Now pick it up," said Izak. Leon then picked up the sword, he was thunderstruck at the fact that he could lift it and not just that it was as light as a feather. The sword shrank from being four feet long to two and a half feet long which was perfect for his small frame. "From what I have learned during the time I had my binding on the sword is that it will grow stronger along with its user... Now let''s begin your training." Leon nodded. "What I''m going to teach you is something called External Techniques, External techniques is a skill that allows you to manipulate the natural energy for your own use, however it requires a lot of concentration and to master it you need to be prepared to face through hardships and severe physical and mental exhaustion. This is only for the strong willed, are you willing to do this?" Izak said seriously. Leon knew that it would be difficult, but he still nodded without any hesitation. Izak stared at Leon and gave an acknowledging smile. "External Techniques use the energy of the world as a coating to increase your bodies physical abilities, however the difference in having a Vision and being able to absorb natural energy compared to external techniques is that the quality and the power released are many folds strong. However External techniques is something that when completely mastered it can easily be used to wipe out someone on the same level or slightly stronger than you." Leon hearing this last statement made him thunderstruck with awe, he couldn''t believe in what his father was saying because it was too unbelievable. "There are three basic ways to use Natural energy as an external weapon for fighting and there are many techniques that when used, can increase the output of the attack. Let me show you:" Izak stood motionlessly and small specks of red light started surrounding him turning into a thin transparent red cover, covering his entire body, engulfing him. " These red specks and the red cover around me is fire elemental energy. Furthermore this is the first technique and the most basic of basics. By gathering the energy you can create a fully body armour, this can increase your overall offense, defence, agility, speed and physical strength, let me show you." Izak looked around for a moment and his gaze landed on the group of boulders in the garden. Izak walked towards the group of boulders and Leon followed, when Izak sized up one of the boulders that was twice his size and thick enough for two grown men to hug, he went and picked the huge boulder, with no difficulty. Leon stared in awe, that boulder looked as if it weighed around 2 tonnes, this was the power of using an energy armour and this was only the most basic of basics. Izak put the boulder down and then walked a distance away from the boulder, all the red energy all over his body receded and only his hands and legs were covered with the energy. "This is the second use of energy, by focussing the energy to your legs and feet your acceleration and speed drastically increases." Said Izak and Leon was astonished, there was a method like this. While concentrating on Izak, Izak disappeared leaving a small breeze and appeared behind Leon, Izak tapped Leons shoulders and vanished. "Wah!" Leon exclaimed, surprised by how fast Izak appeared behind him but Izak quickly returned to his original position. Leon was amazed, he was a kid and this was what he was about to train in. Izak smiled. "And by focussing the energy on your hands you can release it outwards and do this:" Energy gathered around his fist and arm, Izak struck a punch directly into the air in the direction of the boulder he lifted. A gust of wind erupted and traversed towards the boulder carrying specks of red energy and pierced straight through the boulder, leaving a perfect cylinder right through the boulder. Leon''s eyes sparkled, astounded, the power was controlled to the point, that no cracks appeared on the boulder except for the cylinder left by the energy fist. "The last use is weapon armament, by using it you can create a coating for your weapon increasing its sturdiness and power." Izak pulled out a dagger from a pocket on his waist. The energy coated his dagger instantaneously and he threw it at the boulder, shattering it into a hundred pieces. Leon couldn''t help but stare at the dagger and then at his sword, Izak noticing this couldn''t help but chuckle. "These are the three basic uses of external energy, however don''t limit yourself to this, True experts can cut mountains apart and move so fast that they leave multiple after images behind. One example that you should remember is ''Sword King Arthur''," Izak said it with overwhelming respect. "His power is unimaginable with one swift move of his sword he can cut through a mountain with ease." When Leon heard the name of Sword King Arthur he automatically registered his name into his memory. Sword King Arthur... "Now it''s your turn." Said Izak breaking Leons dazed expression. "First you have to gather the energy into one spot, the easiest would be the chest and then spread it around until it fully covers your body transforming into a full body armour. The moment you learn how to instantaneously create a energy armour, that is the moment you have mastered the basics of gathering energy, now try it." Leon closed his eyes and concentrated on gathering energy, "gather the energy to your chest and let it create a membrane around you. You''ll notice a faint suction force, control it, allow it to be concentrated, then spread it around your body." Spoke Izak in the background. Leon discerned Izak''s instructions, he could feel the suction force pulling the energy towards him. Izak saw specks of energy from all the different elements: a fierce red speck representing fire, blue for water, cyan for wind, yellow for earth, green for wood etc. All circling towards him fusing to form white specks that were being sucked towards Leon. Izak was speechless... What''s this? all the different elements are willingly being pulled towards him, there should at least be some rejection... Izak instantly thought back to what Chaos said: He is loved by the energy and by the elements of the world. His body is too majestic and arrogant rejecting the weak and average elemental energy . Only Dark Energy and the Ethereal power of Time would suffice its needs and everything else is discarded. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings.Leon was exhausted as the energy carried on nearing his chest and was now spreading around him very slowly. "Boom!!" all of a sudden a small explosion rang out sending Leon flying into the flower garden, his body rolled through the flowers like a ragdoll. "UGH, it hurts!" grumbled Leon as blood flowed out of small bruises on his bare shoulders and arms. Izak was shocked, to be able to reach such a point on the first try was remarkable. as Izak calmed down he spoke: "It won''t be that easy to complete a full body armour on your first try, carry on practising and you''ll be able to complete all 3 steps, until then I will supervise you." Even though Izak''s demeanour was calm on the outside, inside he was exstatic, For the Elemental Energy to actually become visible on the first try is unheard of. "Ok." Said Leon. As he said that Leon repeated the process, however failed over and over again and he would be sent flying across the garden over and over again: He would end up smashing into the flower fields and even went flying as far as into the lake, despite that he would stand back up, persevere and try again. But no one could deny that Leon was definitely advancing rapidly. After six hours of trying constantly, Leon was exhausted, thoroughly using up all his will power to persist as he collapsed onto the flower bed. Izak called upon two servants to help Leon back into the Mansion, help him clean up and rest for the next day. As Leon was carried back, Izak gazed at the young boy. This kid... To have the willpower to last six hours of constant training should have worn him out mentally. Lasting two hours would be enough to call him crazy, but six hours is an insane amount of time to train External techniques. To be able to do a week''s worth of training in a day is close to impossible, at the rate he''s improving he''ll be ready for the next Path of King''s within a few years. Izak believed somewhere in his heart that the Clan''s return was nearing. The next day Leon was full of energy again and under the supervision of Izak he tried again and again, no matter what happened he wouldn''t give up, constantly dragging himself up to try once more and again he would find himself completely worn out and carried back into the mansion; This carried on for nine days. On the ninth day Leon was concentrating the energy as it gathered at his chest and then spreading around him like a sheet. Leon''s forehead creased, hm... The hardest part is here, if I lose even the tiniest bit of concentration it''ll break. The membrane has to be the same thickness, if one side is thicker the membrane will collapse. He urged the energy further as it slowly engulfed him and it finally fully covered him completely. "YES! I DID IT!" Roared Leon ecstatically. As soon as Leons roar ended, his body shook, swayed for a second and dropped face first into the grass. Izak quickly caught him just before he fell, Izak checked his pulse. Good, he just fainted. To think it took him nine days... Nine days to master the Armour technique, something that would usually take three months... incredible. Izak was dumbfounded, staring at the unconscious boy. No one truly cares about external techniques because of its difficulty and the will power required, however an eight year old kid did it. My son did it. ------------------------------ Leon was full of energy the next day acting as if nothing happened the day before, he tried to activate the energy armour, since he knew how it felt once it was completed, it took him ten minutes to completely activate the energy armour, it was a see through membrane with a white glow. "Woah!" said Leon excitedly. Leon turned his gaze and walked towards where the boulders were, he sized each and every boulder and found a small boulder that was a lot more like a large rock; It was half his size and as thick as a small wardrobe. Leon took a stance his right leg pulling backwards, he lowered himself slightly. The rock was merely a meter away from him, Leon pulled his right hand backwards. "3...2...1...HA!" Leon punched, releasing a whoosh sound and small gust of wind, When his fist made contact a loud boom echoed as the rock shattered into many pieces. Leon was overjoyed, he turned and smiled, his eyes turned into small slits as he gleefully looked at Izak. Izak shot a smile back, exceedingly happy with the progress of Leons training. suddenly the External armour collapsed and vanished, Leon gasped for air as his forehead was matted with sweat. "It lasted a minute... the efficiency is too low and I have to spend a lot of stamina to concentrate on controlling the armour." said Leon as he looked down at himself. "Well done Leon." Izak said with a smile on his face "Okay, Today you''ll start practising the second step... For this step you have to figure it out yourself. It might be quicker if I taught you, however it will be a big problem in the long run, so from now on I will just come to the garden everyday to check on your progress. nonetheless don''t forget to practise external armour or it''ll become unstable and you''ll have to train all over again." "Okay." Although Leon was disappointed he nodded, he knew his father was looking at the long run and for his sake pushed him to train by himself. After this Izak left the garden leaving Leon alone to practise by himself, on his first try at condensing the energy at one body part the same repercussions occurred sending him flying across the garden a multiple of time. Days past and everyday Leon would be carried back to his room, a week past and it wasn''t as bad, nevertheless Leon tried harder, never giving up. Izak would come to look at Leons progress and was astonished at his constant improvements. Slowly time passed, a couple of days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into a year and finally three years past since Leon first started to train. ------------------------ The seasons were changing, it was now a warm summer afternoon. In the Garden behind the Kaiser mansion, a blur was skimming the surface of the lake, ripping across it while his legs were covered by a white aura, immediately stopping near the boulders, this boy was none other than Leon. Leon stood at 150 Centimetres tall, taller than the average person his age, Silver hair was grown out, dropping till his shoulders, his face was still childish, not having matured much, his eyes were a deeper brown and he was currently wearing joggers with a sword strapped to it and a black tank top. His gaze swept through the group of rocks, searching for a suitable rock. His gaze stopped at a boulder that was separated from the rest it stood as tall as him but was as thick as a tree stump. Leon pulled out the sword from its sheath, releasing a domineering aura, it was none other than Azeon. Leon gazed at the boulder, the sword was instantly surrounded by a sharp white aura and then Leon simply swept his sword sending a white blade that rushed through the boulder sending the top half airborne and leaving the boulder with a clean, flat and smooth top. "Clap...Clap...Clap" Izak walked in clapping at Leon. "Leon you''ve improved drastically in the past three years, to pull off the third external technique to such a level is awe inspiring. You''re only 11 years old and you''re already at the level of a clan guard, amazing." said Izak walking in wearing a suit and a smile plastered on his face, even though he was 40 years old, he still looked like he was in his twenties. "Father!" Leon instantly dropped his aura and sheathed Azeon, walking across to his father''s side. "That''s not what I was trying to pull off, I''m testing a technique I made myself, but it''s really hard." Said Leon impatiently. Izak couldn''t help but chuckle at his son, because of his impatience. "Leon don''t worry you''ll get the hang of it very quickly." Said Izak. "Leon you''ve finally completed the training course after three years. From today onwards you''ll have to train by yourself since I don''t have much left to teach you. You now have the power to easily fend off others of the same age as you." Leon nodded."Father, why are you here?" Leon questioned while still being happy that Izak praised him. "Leon I came here to congratulate you and to tell you that your mother is worried that you''re trying too hard." Laughed Izak. "But on a serious note I have come to talk to you about a trial. A trial called ''The Path Of Kings''." Chapter 8: Path of Kings "The Path Of Kings?" Questioned Leon. "Oh... You still don''t know what the Path of Kings is in the first place. Let me start from the beginning: The Path of Kings is an ancient trial left by Noah himself many, many Millennia ago, when we humans first arrived on this continent. The Path of Kings is a trial where the participants go through trials decided by the ''Name Stone''." Leon nodded, he understood what the Name Stone was; The Name Stone was a treasure that Noah discovered when he was young, it is the most precious treasure left behind by Noah for his clan members and his descendants. Every single blood descendant is named by the Ancient Name Stone, which is where it''s name comes from. The stones uses are unknown, but there is one thing every single clan member knows: This stone contains a Will and holds many secrets. "The Name Stone also decided that the next trial will take place in a month''s time... The test for the Path of Kings has also been decided, this time it''s a simple tournament." Leon was shocked, The Path of Kings has never been so simple. All the records of the clan has displayed tasks such as: surviving a month inside the Forest of Origins, Fighting against Prime beasts, traversing through deserts and the Ice Lands, etc. It has never been so simple like now, a tournament. "Leon in this tournament, you''ll participate in it as well." said Izak seriously. Leon was shocked and quickly asked, "Father why me? Aren''t I too young?" "No. You have gained enough power to participate and I have very high expectations." Said Izak. "I also need to tell you that in this tournament many, many people from across the Kingdom will come here. Noah allowed outsiders to participate so that we the Kaiser clan will be forced to try harder, obtain what is rightfully ours and rise in ranking." Izak spoke with a degree of unwillingness to give a chance to outsiders. "Many Schools, Corporations, Organisations and Companies will come this time, because of the prize: The Ancient Name Stone will give the winner ''The Heavenly White Wing Armour'', a special armour that allows the user to fly, it''s ranking is unknown, however any armour that allows a person to fly will have a high ranking. All the giant organizations are thirsting for such a treasure, so there will be more participants than ever before and there will even be representatives from the big organisations coming to recruit impressive participants." "Leon, I know it will be hard, but I want you to try your hardest to win the ''Heavenly White Wing Armour''." Said Izak earnestly. Leon nodded even though he didn''t know why Izak was asking with such an earnest expression. "Yes Father." "Leon I''ll be leaving, I hope you spend some time resting, it''ll be really helpful." Said Izak thoughtfully Leon nodded. Izak then turned around and walked back. Izak hid something from Leon; the reason why Leon was to participate in the Path of Kings: It was because the Name Stone revealed Leon''s name. It desired Leon to participate in the upcoming trial. The higher ups in the clan including himself were overwhelmed by such an event, for the first time the Will of the Name Stone sought after a person to participate in the trial. Leon stood there while Izak was going back into the mansion. Hm, I think spending the rest of the month stabilising my power and increasing the efficiency of the power should be the best for the tournament .Leon thought to himself. Leon spent the rest of the time increasing his control and spent time reading books. For Leon reading books was a leisure activity, however he still sought after books because he thirsted for the unknown and for knowledge. During this time a month quickly passed. ----------------------------- On the seventh month of the year 99996 of the Sarien calendar, Thousands of people streamed into Reon through the teleportation field in the city, coming in groups or alone. After nearly a hundred thousand years, technology has increased to unimaginable heights, however the discovery of Visions suppressed the advance of technology, however it still advanced very far. Compared to the other kingdoms on this continent, the Sarien Kingdom vastly outstripped the other countries in this aspect. The many groups of people were all travelling to the same place, to the Coliseum at the centre of the city. "Look at how many big names have come: Darius Corp, The Scorching Fire Tribe, Lucius Group, The Dual Sword school, they''re all here." "Amazing, these are all the branches of the biggest forces in the kingdom." Spoke another, the entire city was lively as the huge forces entered the city. Suddenly a great flash arose from the Teleportation Field and a group of Five people walked out of the field, lead by an old man wearing a white long robe, short white hair and a short beard, his arms held behind his back. He was followed by a young man and three middle aged men all wearing violet robes. On their shoulder sleeves there was a crest with a book in front of two swords crossing each other and two angelic wings on the sides. "The Sarien Institute!" The huge crowd of people instantly went into an uproar turning into a large hubbub, this group instantly eclipsed the uproar brought by the other huge powers . Despite this the crowd instantly dispersed leaving a path for the group of five coming from the Sarien Institute. "That''s Elder James, from the Sarien Institute... This isn''t a branch of the institute, they''ve come directly from the institute itself!" cried out a man in the crowd. " That''s the Institute that''s backed by the Royal Family itself." Roared another " Are they hear for the trials or to scout potential candidates to join the institute." Everyone gazed in awe at the group of people coming from the Sarien institute. " Elder James, why are we coming here, to such a worthless, trashy place as this." Whispered the young man arrogantly, to the old man. "Watch your Mouth, Niel! The younger generation have no respect these days, this is the land of the Kaiser Clan. The Kaiser Clan may have fallen and lost their power over the years, however they are protected by the Royal Family, whom are eternally grateful to Noah. We from the Sarien Institute are also grateful to Noah, a brat like you has no say." Replied Elder James sharply at Niel. The arrogant boy Niel was astonished and didn''t say another word, a simple question brought up a cold response from the usually calm Elder. Niel was from a powerful family, but compared to Elder James and the Institute, it was a force that they couldn''t go against. Rumour even has it that Elder James is said to be as old as the Kingdom itself, and is greatly respected by those in the Sarien Institute and even by the Royal family. "We are here to recruit potential students, to either the technology department or the Vision Department." said Elder James. The three middle aged men followed behind without uttering a word. ------------------------ Inside the Mansion, Izak was strolling around the castle followed by Leon talking casually while heading towards the Coliseum . Suddenly a servant rushed in, "Master" he said breathlessly. "What is it?" frowned Izak. "Many groups of people have come from around the Kingdom... and...and... the Sarien Institute have come themselves, led by Elder James himself." Spoke the Servant, his face reddened by excitement. Izak was astonished. "Quickly go and welcome them with utmost care," Izak said quickly. ------------------------------ Izak and Leon rushed towards the entrance of the coliseum, There was a huge crowd of people blocking the entrance. In the middle of the crowd there stood a group of five with the Sarien Institutes badge on their shoulder sleeves, led by an Elder that looked like he was in his sixties. The crowd of people stood five metres away in every direction, the group of five from the Sarien Institute were greatly revered. "Elder James, It''s great to have you here," said Izak as he bowed his head slightly, he motioned Leon to do the same. Elder James turned around and saw Izak, "Ah... It''s you Izak boy... How have you been?." Elder James tone suggested he was a very amiable person in Leons opinion. "I''ve been very well recently," replied Izak. Elder James gaze moved from Izak to Leon, assessing him, Leon felt a very warm aura observing him. "Izak you haven''t introduced that boy yet." "Ah... I''m very sorry Elder, this is my son, Leon introduce yourself." Izak motioned Leon to go forward and introduce himself. "Hello Elder, my name is Leon Kaiser." Leon introduced himself as he bowed slightly. "hm, Leon... what a good name. Leon are you going to participate in the trial? If you are I hope you stand down, I think it would be impossible for you to win." If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it."Yes Elder I am going to participate. Elder you don''t have to worry about me, I am just going there to gain experience," Leon said with a smile. "Oh is that so, well I hope you can surprise me" Elder James raised his eyebrows with a smile on his face. "Izak let''s not stand here in the middle of the streets, lead us inside." "Yes Elder." As he spoke he led the group of five into the Coliseum. Izak turned to Leon as they were walking, "Leon go to the participants rest area, I''ve already registered for you, remember you''re participant number is One in group 1 so you''ll be the in the first match, don''t disappoint me." Leon nodded and turned walking in another direction leaving the group of five when they entered the coliseum. As Leon took off, the young man called Niel in the group of five whispered to Elder James, "Elder, why did you digress that boy into not participating?" "It''s because he doesn''t have a Vision, but he is still confident, I want to see how he''s going to surprise us." Remarked Elder James with a slight chuckle. Niel was astonished and he just stared off at the distant Leon and he came to the conclusion that the kid was just being arrogant and didn''t know what true power really was. ------------------------- The Coliseum was enormous, able to seat over a hundred thousand people, it was built to be very sturdy. Comfort was a main aspect for the audience and there was a huge screen that projected the fight for the audiences viewing. There were separate booths for privileged groups of people such as the Darius Corp, The Scorching Fire Tribe, the Lucius Group, The Dual Sword school, they all sat in their own booth. Izak lead Elder James and his group into a booth and sat themselves down. The group of five and Izak were casually chatting when suddenly Lerdo walked in with the previous head of the clan Aster. When they saw Elder James they immediately greeted him respectfully and sat themselves down. Lerdo turned to Izak, " Izak remember Leon has to win this tournament or he loses his right to become the next clan leader." said Lerdo. "Lerdo..." Warned Aster. "Father don''t worry and yes uncle I do remember. I think today he''ll give you a nice surprise, I guarantee." Izak smiled. "Hmmph... Just because your son was nominated by the Name Stone doesn''t mean he''ll win." remarked Lerdo. Name Stone... Izak boys son was nominated by the Name Stone... Interesting. As Lerdo mentioned the Name Stone it piqued Elder James interest and he started to observe Leon attentively. "Elder, what''s the Name Stone?" asked Niel. Elder James turned to Niel and explained, "The Name Stone is an heirloom left by Noah for his descendants, its origins are unknown, even Noah couldn''t completely understand the mysteries of the stone. It holds many secrets and it''s also a treasure vault, however there is no key to the vault, but it gives out a treasure to the winner of the Path of Kings." "A treasure vault," murmured Niel, as his eyes glittered, but he was disappointed at the fact that it couldn''t be opened. "Haha... If the Kaiser Clan were able to open the vault they would be the most powerful force in the kingdom or maybe even on this continent." Chuckled Elder James. "Legend has it that Old man Sarien participated in this tournament and gained a treasure, however there is no concrete proof and the only people that can participate in this tournament are those that are 20 years old or younger, so many youngsters participate in this tournament... Oh it seems the tournament is beginning" said Elder James as he turned towards the ring. Niel was dumbstruck, if the Kaiser Clan could open the Vault they''d be the most powerful force on the continent... Niel hid his thoughts. Niel was even more shocked when he heard Elder James calling the ancestor of the Royal family as ''old man''. In the Arena there was one big main ring for the finalists and ten smaller rings for the preliminary rounds. "There are two thousand individuals in this tournament this time round, this is the largest number we''ve ever had in a Path of Kings Trial. The tournament will last five days, the two thousand fighters will split into ten groups of two-hundred fighters for the preliminary rounds, the top twenty in each group will then join another qualifying stage. The top two hundred will then further split into a group of ten with twenty participants in them and then the top four in each group will be the finalists for the last round. There is One rule that everyone must follow, Killing is Not Allowed. " Izak explained to the group of people in the booth. After he explained an announcer came out to explain the rules to the spectators and participants. ------------------------- Leon entered the fighters rest area, it was huge with space enough to fit around ten thousand people, the whole room was filled with barely any furniture and the walls were covered with bricks. The architect who designed the Coliseum wanted to preserve the simple nature of the Coliseum while allowing comfort for the spectators and keeping the participants rest area to remain simple and barbaric in a sense. Over a hundred participants were gathered in the rest area, either in groups or alone sharpening their weapons or practising skills. Leons gaze swiftly swept through the groups of people, and then his gaze stopped in front of two people his eyes widened with hatred, they were none other than Kline and Ed from the Rauber Clan. He moved his gaze trying not to catch their attention, but Kline had already caught sight of him. "Hahahaha, Master Ed looks it''s that trashy Kid from the Kaiser Clan I beat a few years back, he''s here again." Ed didn''t seem interested he just nodded. They both moved towards Leon walking through the crowd of people. "Kid from the Kaiser Clan are you here again to get beaten up again... Wait are you here to join the Path of Kings... Hahahaha that''s too funny," Kline burst into laughter as he mocked Leon. "You have no Vision and you dare participate you piece of Trash, your clans Era ended many Millennia ago, you''re just a minor clan now." Roared Kline, bringing attention to himself, the other fighters started to snicker as well. "Shut up, you can talk crap about me but not the Clan, You''re Clans the trashy Clan. Even at our lowest point, your clan still can''t surpass us!" snarled Leon furiously. "What did you say?" Kline asked his expressions darkened, he started concentrating energy on his fist. "Stop... No fighting over here!" shouted a kid that was as tall as Leon, he had blonde hair, blue eyes and had a slim stature, he wore a plain brown robe as he walked towards Leon. "What. Who are you? A commoner dares talk back to a member of the Rauber Clan." Snarled Kline, Ed just watched the boy coming towards them with some interest. "It'' s not for you to know, If you have a problem with that kid, you can meet each other in the ring and duke it out." said the boy, since he was closer Leon could see his face clearer. He was fairly handsome and he looked like he was 12 years old. "What did you say?" growled Kline, but suddenly Ed put his hands forward to block Kline and he shook his head in disapproval. "hmmph fine... Kid you''re lucky, I hope you survive in the ring so I can take care of you." he stared at Leon as he said that, he licked his lips deviously and walked off with Ed. Leon turned towards the boy that helped him, "Thank you, May ask you, your name?" The boy turned to Leon and smiled, "My name is Lumios, I am a mere commoner, young master Leon."He spoke very politely. "Thank you again for helping me, would you like to stay with me." asked Leon "That would be wonderful, young master Leon" replied Lumios. "Ah... Please don''t call me ''young master'' Leon, call me Leon," said Leon embarrassedly. "Okay... that title was rather long, wasn''t it Leon," smirked Lumios These two boys were very compatible with each other, Leon found out that this boy was 12 years old, a year older than him, he also found out that Leon was his benefactor, because three years ago, Leon protected his father, a member of the guards of the Kaiser Clan from the Rauber Clan. Suddenly... "Participant number One and Number two, prepare yourselves." Number One, that''s me I should go now. Leon said bye to Lumios and went in the direction of the Ring. ------------------------------- In the arena, standing at the centre was a Referee who was a member of the Kaiser Clan. The referee announced using a voice amplification stone: "Ring One - Match One Leon Kaiser Vs Erik Helder From the Lucius Group!" Chapter 9: Leons Dreams "Ring One - Match One Leon Kaiser Vs Erik Helder From the Lucius Group!" The entire stadium went into an uproar, everyone was excited, they could finally see a Visionist trained by the Lucius Group. Inside the Lucius groups booth, a well dressed middle age man in a suit was delighted by the uproar. "It seems we''re facing a member of the Kaiser Clan." smirked the middle aged man. "Manager, the boy that Erik is facing is the son of Izak, however he doesn''t have a Vision," said another man. "Oh it''s like that... that means Erik will easily win the first round, Erik is after all a 4th rank Awakened." said the Manager. "Yes of course he''ll win." ---------------------- The crowd in the stands were mostly made up of citizens from Reon. "Isn''t that Young master Leon, I heard he was born without a Vision," said a man. "Wait he doesn''t have a Vision that means he has no chance, I also heard that Erik is a 4th rank Awakened Visionist." Inside the Booth where Izak was in Elder James stared attentively at Leon who was in the ring, "Hm, Izak boy do you think your son has any chance of winning?" asked Elder James. "Elder let''s just watch and see how this will all play out," Izak said calmly. As soon as the referee announced the fighters, Leon and Erik walked into the ring at the same time, they both stood approximately a hundred metres apart. "Hehe... I heard you''re Leon, the young master of the Kaiser Clan and it seems you don''t have a Vision. Since I, the great Erik, am in a good mood today I''ll let you forfeit." Erik spoke arrogantly. Leon stood there his rare brown eyes intelligently evaluating the boy ahead of him, Erik was covered completely in black, black long sleeve t-shirt and black joggers which emphasized his white skin, he looked like he was 16 years old and was well built. "No need, I am only here to gain experience from our fight," smiled Leon. "Arrogant kid, you don''t know when a person is trying to be merciful, I am a 4th rank Awakened, you''ll regret not taking this opportunity later." Remarked Erik. 4th rank Awakened? What is that? Are there rankings in the Awakened state, is that why it''s so hard to reach the Prime state. Hm... I''ll ask Father later. The commotion caused by the spectators was huge and then the referee spoke. "Ok, you two get ready... the match starts Now!" roared the referee. "I warned you kid I won''t show you any mercy...Fire Vision manifestation: Sinister Flame Axe" Erik roared and then immediately a battle axe formed completely from fire appeared, it was red and had a domineering yet fiery aura that could burn down anything down within a ten metre radius, however it was nothing compared to Azeon. The blade on the battle axe was constantly burning, it was as if it was made for burning things down rather than for cutting or for killing. What!! His Vision is Fire and he used it to form a battle axe... How many other possible techniques could this guy possibly have. Wait if you can use Fire to form a weapon that means I can use external energy to form a weapon, but I have Azeon now so there''s no point. Leon thought of himself. "Kid I''ll let you attack first, since I''m still in a good mood."Erik spoke breaking Leon''s daze in the middle of the fight. "Are you serious?" Leon asked Joyously. "Yes Kid, hurry up." Erik became rather annoyed because he had to face a kid that could barely make his blood boil in a fight. "Okay," Leon stuck his hands out and Azeon appeared out of thin air, this was something he figured out during his three years of training, as soon as he bound Azeon he was able to summon it from about anywhere. As soon Azeon appeared it released an incredible pressure that everyone in the stadium felt. In the booth that Izak and Elder James were in, Elder James was shocked, "That sword is so powerful even I feel overwhelmed, where did you find that Izak boy?" Even Elder James is overwhelmed, that sword really is mysterious. "Elder that is something I cannot say, however I think Leon will give you a nice surprise." "Hm," Elder James nodded. "What''s Leon doing?... Wait, is he gathering the Natural energy in the air from the Elements?... External Technique" Elder James gasped, he was stunned, thunderstruck in fact. Leon at this moment was concentrating as the specks of energy gathered around him and in a few seconds he was covered in a glowing white radiant armour and Azeon was also covered with energy. The energy was far thicker around his arms and legs, Leon was showing off his three years worth of fruitful training. "Energy Armour, Focussed armour and Weapon Armament, Izak your son... how is he capable of doing this, he should only be able to reach this level if he trained for fifteen years constantly and yet your son is only Eleven years old. How long did it take Leon to reach this stage?" Elder James was constantly surprised by Leon, a boy without a Vision mastered the basics of External techniques. "Elder James, would you believe me if I said three years." Izak said. "What! Three years, what kind of monster is your son!" Elder James eyes were wide open with shock. At this moment Leons eyes changed from an immature expression into a serious one, he took a step forward and vanished leaving just a trace of wind carrying dust, the entire stadium went into a huge uproar, the spectators couldn''t see where Leon vanished off to, even Erik lost track of Leon. So fast, where did that kid disappear off to... I thought he didn''t have a Vision, what kind of Bullshit is this. Suddenly Leon appeared right in front of Erik, Erik''s eyes were wide opened with disbelief, he didn''t have enough time to put his guard up as he struggled to lift his battle axe. Leon immediately slashed horizontally, smashing into Erik''s battle axe sending him airborne as he ripped across the arena and landed outside the ring. Erik immediately coughed out a mouthful of blood staining his black t-shirt red, he stared at Leon sceptically, he didn''t understand what happened to him. "First Match Winner is Leon!" Roared the referee who was also in shock, he was from the Kaiser clan and understood the circumstances of Leon but he couldn''t believe it. Leon looked at him and gave off an innocent smile, "thank you for your guidance," calmly said Leon while Erik was still dazed with disbelief. A ranked 4 awakened is only this strong... that was less than half of my power. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Erik woke up from his daze and cried out, "Wait! Let me fight him again I just underestimated him!" his expression was unsightly and he was full of regret for underestimating his opponent. "No, the fight is over" warned the referee coldly as he released the aura of a Prime. The crowd grew into a large hubbub, they were all discussing how Leon, a kid with no Vision, defeated a Fire elemental Visionist in the 4th rank. In the booth that the Lucius Group was staying in, the Managers face was unsightly, Erik had underestimated his opponent and lost. What was worse is that he stained the branches reputation by losing against someone without a Vision while having his Vision out. "Izak boy... your son is amazing, did you know of this?" asked Elder James, inside the booth. "Yes I did Elder," Izak said calmly, however he just couldn''t stay calm inside, this kid, how much stronger did he get in three years. "External techniques they are very hard and time consuming to train in but the effects are amazing and your son displayed it perfectly" Elder James praised. In the participants rest area, Kline, Ed and Lumios were watching the fight. All three of them were able to see Leons movements with ease. "Master Ed, it seems that trash has grown a bit stronger, but he''s still too slow and the only reason he won was because he released a large amount of power in a short moment when the enemy had his guard too low... Hehe, when I face him I won''t make such a simple mistake." Said Kline as he analysed the fight. Ed just nodded, not interested in the fight. To Kline a 4th ranked Awakened was nothing compared to Ed and Lumios''s power. Ed was a 9th rank Awakened, while Kline was a 8th rank and Lumios was a 9th rank as well, which is why Ed warned Kline not to fight Lumios. Despite that he didn''t even consider Leon as an opponent, worthy enough for him to face. As time passed Kline, Ed and Lumios all went in to fight and they all came out with overwhelming victories. There were moments during the day when their opponent instantly forfeited after having seen what they accomplished in the previous fights, they were considered the favourites in the Path of Kings. The three of them gained favourable impressions from the big factions that came. In the first round the three of them didn''t even activate their Vision once, they only used the Elemental energy to win. Leon on the other hand was not considered in favour, the spectators all thought he won because of luck. In the second fight Leon appeared again, however he never activated weapons armament and focussed armour, he only used Energy armour and easily took care of his opponent who was a 3rd rank Awakened, this shocked the everyone including the branches of the big factions including Elder James. Leon came onto the ring to fight again and again and he would win with ease, however the strongest opponent he faced on the first round was a 5th rank Awakened and he expended more than half of his strength. By the end of the first day, the first stage of the tournament had ended, eliminating 1800 individuals leaving only two hundred fighters. Leon, Lumios, Ed and Kline had won all their fights without losing a single one and were qualified to enter the second stage the next day. -------------------------- Leon walked out of the coliseum while the stars were out and there stood his father. "Father, where is Elder James?" "Don''t worry about Elder James I''ve accommodated them in a five- star suite in one of our hotels. Let''s forget about that, Leon you, you have exceeded all my expectations today, you easily took care of all your opponents." Izak praised. "However Leon, just because you won don''t get too confident and overestimate your abilities." Leon nodded and then inquired, "Father, when I was in the ring all my opponents kept saying they were a certain rank in the awakened state, is there a hierarchy in the realms of power?" "Ah, I forgot to explain this to you. The Prime state and Awakened state are both stages that have nine ranks, that is the main reason that a lot of people are stuck in these two realms and the realms higher than the Prime state is not something you need to know now." Explained Izak. Leon nodded and sighed, he really wanted to know what was higher than the Prime state, even though he didn''t have a Vision. "Ok Leon go rest and prepare yourself for tomorrow, it''ll be a lot harder than today," said Izak as he turned and walked back to the Mansion, Leon followed behind him. --------------------------- Leon spent the night on the rooftops of the Kaiser Mansion as he stared at the moon and the stars, this was Leons favourite past time since the day he started training, it calmed him down when he was surrounded by the serene atmosphere. Leon felt like an ant in the eyes of Eden and the universe, he knew there were many planets that could have life in the universe all filled with different organisms. The Universe is incomprehensibly enormous and to think in the past hundred thousand years we have only explored our own solar system, yet we''ve never traversed outside of the Earth continent... Leon stared at the stars as he had a sense of familiarity with them. One day...One day I''ll be free from all these restrictions and then I''ll be able to explore the world... that is my dream and to achieve it I have to get stronger. Leons dream was to be free, he wanted to explore, right now he was like a Lion trapped in a cage. Leon while gazing at the moon and the stars, he slowly fell asleep in the serene and tranquil atmosphere. -------------------------- The next day the stalls outside the Coliseum was crowded with hundreds of people and the Coliseum was packed full with spectators eagerly waiting for the second round of the Path of Kings to start. The booths were filled with their respective parties including Izak and Elder James, all the participants had already arrived and they were waiting for the second round. Leon met Lumios once again in the rest area and they were casually chatting about the events of the day before, they found out that they weren''t in the same group and neither was Kline or Ed. Suddenly the referee announced, "Group 1, First Match Lumios Rakel Vs Darius Feuer from the Scorching Fire Tribe." Chapter 10: Lumios Vs Darius I dropped this story but I intend on posting the rest of the chapters on here. In the end, if you want to know how the book ends or spoilers or anything you can ask me. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hm, it''s my turn now, Leon come and watch my fight," Lumios smiled. Leon nodded, Leon never got a chance to watch Lumios fight, but he knew he was a crowd favourite: A genius commoner at the same level as the talented youths from the huge organisations, it would definitely cause the commoners to be filled with pride. Lumios walked onto the ring and opposite to him was Darius Feuer. Darius was a huge muscular fellow, with arrogance written all over his face. The crowd knew who Darius Feuer was, he was from the Scorching Fire Tribe, which made it obvious he had a Fire element Vision, however he wasn''t ordinary, he was the main representative and the young branch master of the Scorching Fire tribe branch. "Hehe, a commoner like you should leave. I''ll tell you this right now, I am an 8th ranked Awakened and a genius who reached this level at the age of 16, I''ll give you the chance to surrender." sneered Darius. As he said this he pulled out a sword from his scabbard and threw the scabbard out of the ring. The sword was double edged and was stainless and emitted a bronze aura. "A Bronze tier sword..." Murmured Leon, Weapons were separated into tiers and the bronze tier was the lowest but it''s power was much better compared to ordinary weapons. Suddenly the sword erupted into red flames releasing a fiery bronze aura while the sword was constantly burning, however it''s shape was still visible under the red roaring flames and the beholder Darius was unaffected by the flames. "Times up you had long enough to retreat," smirked Darius while Lumios didn''t say a word and just carried on staring at him. Darius Immediately pushed off the ground and rapidly closed the distance between him and Lumios, instantly gave an overhead swing which crashed down onto Lumios. Lumios gracefully sidestepped as the sword crashed onto the ring floor leaving cracks on the floor. Unexpectedly the flames erupted in all directions, narrowing down on Lumios, despite that Lumios''s expression was calm and he instantly disappeared from the spot and appeared ten metres away. Lumios calmly stood there and took a step forward as he rapidly closed down on the relaxed Darius, he formed a spear with his hand as a blue thin aura surrounded it and then swiftly stabbed into the arrogant young man''s sword shoulder. "AAAAGGGGHH!" Roared the arrogant Darius as his face twisted with shock and pain as he dropped onto the ring floor writhing in pain. Blood spurted out of the wound on his shoulder as soon as Lumios withdrew his palm leaving no trace of blood on himself. "Shut your mouth!" Lumios uttered coldly looking down at Darius''s figure writhing on the floor. "An arrogant young master like you are the type of people I hate the most."Lumios coldly whispered so only Darius could hear, "You an 8th rank dare have arrogance when a 9th rank Awakened is in front of your eyes." Darius''s eyes widened as he squirmed in pain. The tense atmosphere in the Coliseum exploded into cheers for Lumios who was the crowd favourite. A commoner instantly overpowering a big character was unknown to them and it filled them with intense joy and pride. In the booth of the Scorching Fire Tribe, the members were all shocked, Darius was a 8th ranked Awakened and he was pushed down by Lumios, whom didn''t even activate his Vision, that could only mean... "9th Ranked Awakened," Murmured Elder James who was taken aback by the swift attack. "HAHAHA!" Laughed Elder James Joyously. "Izak boy, there''s such a monstrous genius in this city. That kid he''s reached the 9th rank at the age of Twelve, what is with this place?"said Elder James as he shook his head while speaking to Izak." This boy also trains in External Techniques, however it is nowhere near Leons level but it''s still astonishing. Izak boy which clan does this kid belong to?" Izak was also astonished with the young man performance, his talent was at the same level as Leons, nevertheless to reach 9th rank at the age of Twelve you need an insane desire to get stronger. "Elder James, this may be astonishing, that kids name is Lumios, he is just a commoner and the son of one of the guards in the Kaiser Clan." Said Izak, as he didn''t know of Lumios''s existence till yesterday when he saw his performance so he naturally went and searched through his background information. Elder James mouth gaped, "That kid is not from a big clan? What kind of monster is he to have such frightening talent without any resources or backing... Quickly Charice go, quickly go and invite him to the institute, with such terrifying talent he''ll definitely be a huge figure in the future and Darick go and find his parents and inform them of this." Elder James said frantically, he couldn''t lose such a gem to an outside force. Two Middle aged men from the group vanished from the booth as soon as Elder James gave the order. Izak was shocked the two men were so fast that he didn''t even sense them leave and then he unconsciously glanced at the third middle aged man who was calmly sitting there. Darius staggered onto his feet, one hand covering the stab on his shoulder holding the sword and the other holding his bronze tier sword, he stared at Lumios resentfully. "Hahahaha!" Cackled Darius as his hair started to rise, "So what if you''re a 9th rank, I was just underestimating you. Even if I''m an 8th rank Awakened, I''ve never unleashed my full power...Let me show you the power of a ''Soul Force: Soul Body''!" He bellowed. Suddenly a red gust of wind pushed Lumios tens of meters away from his original position, he was shocked he instantly put his guard up, the crowd went silent the group inside the Scorching fire tribe smirked. "A Soul Force Master that has Soul body... it''s going to be really hard for the kid now." Elder James murmured as his expression turned serious. Leon was watching this in the side lines, when he heard ''Soul Force Master'', he was shocked. Leon had read what a Soul Force Master was in a couple of books: Soul Force master''s were very rare, you could say there was only one in a million people who could become one. They had power to increase their Elemental energy, physical capabilities and comprehension drastically and fight people in higher ranks, they could use formations and they gained many other benefits. From Darius''s power you couldn''t even rank him into a Soul Force Master, nevertheless his power increased, the flames on his sword changed from red to white, releasing a strong oppressive aura. He instantly charged at Lumios, his speed increased by many folds when he released his Soul Force. As he raced towards Lumios he bellowed loudly and smashed his sword down. Lumios had barely anytime to dodge it and the ends of his robes was cut off. Lumios was sweating because of the scorching heat, however he had no time to relax as he was bombarded with constant sword strikes, he was constantly being pushed into a corner. He was dodging frantically as Darius swung his sword with an overhead cut, a slash, a horizontal swing and a stab. Lumios''s robes were torn and cuts could be seen on his white skin, blood was being drawn from the wounds soaking his robe, his robe was also left with scorch marks as he was profusely sweating. "FLAME IMPACT" bellowed Darius, the sword covered in white flames, orderly formed a blade around the edges of the sword. As he cut down at Lumios, Lumios was about to dodge when suddenly the flame blade exploded sending flames in all directions. Lumios dodged it, however the flames sent out burned his left shoulder. "AAAAGGGGHH!" He screamed. The impact sent him tumbling to the edge of the ring and now he had nowhere to escape. His left shoulder was drenched with blood coming out of the burned flesh wound and he was sweating profusely as his blonde hair matted his forehead. "Why don''t you take your Vision out? For the entire tournament and even right now you''re arrogant enough to think you don''t need it. Well it doesn''t matter anyway, it won''t make a difference." Darius scorned. "This is what you get for wounding me, I''ll repay it with interest." "Flame Impact" called out Darius again pushing off the ground as he ran straight towards Lumios, he placed his sword on his left shoulder preparing to swing diagonally at Lumios and then Lumios''s frantic face turned serious. Boom... Darius was sent a hundred metres away from Lumios as Blue Flames erupted and howled around Lumios, surrounding him in all directions at a radius of fifty meters, roaring as it blurred Lumios''s figure. After a few moments the field of blue flames slowly died down. The fierce atmosphere in the stands instantly died down. Every single booth, filled with major powers were shocked, they had just seen the fierce power of ''Flame Impact'', but it had been swiftly repelled, even Leon was shocked as he stared at the ring. Lumios looked towards Darius who was staggering, trying to stand up, he trembled under the power he just felt. Lumios stared calmly at Darius and then spoke frostily, " I was trying to hide my Vision until the finals, but not everything follows a plan... Let me show you my full power." "Fire Tuefel Manifestation," the blue flames in the ring rapidly flowed towards Lumios, the flames coalesced around him, his body vanished, leaving a body of flame, wings made out of fire sprouted out from his burning shoulders. Where his eyes were meant to be, a menacing red glow filled it. Every single person in the stadium was shocked, it was eerily tense, the cackles of the flames could be heard. They were all staring at the stupendous figure that looked like a heavenly body or was it a demon that came from hell. Leon was stunned to the extreme, however it was nothing compared to the figures inside the booth, but no one was more surprised than Elder James, this has been the most shocking thing he had seen in a very, very long time. "He has a Fire Origin Vision and it''s an Elemental Manifestation, this kid is a monster, nothing can be used to describe him. His potential is much higher than what I first expected, we have to obtain him, no matter what." Said Elder James frantically, so that everyone could hear him, Izak was shocked as well, however since he knew Leon''s potential he wasn''t as surprised as everyone else in the booth. Niel was shocked, he was extremely talented compared to his peers in the Sarien Institute but it was nothing compared to the kid on the ring, whom possessed an Origin Vision, he''ll be a person that the Sarien Kingdom will spend an unlimited amount of resources on once he enters the institute. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. Admiring gazes filled the Coliseum. Kline was shocked, Ed however smiled at Lumios. "You dared to be arrogant in front of me, let me show you the power of a true genius." Lumios no longer had the temperament of a twelve year old, his mental age was way older than his looks. Lumios walked towards the trembling Darius and then in a flash took a large stride towards him leaving traces of blue flames behind. Darius madly swept his sword and roared, "SCORCHING FIRE STYLE: WHITE FLAME DANCE!" An immensely huge white flame erupted from the sword rushing at Lumios''s devilish body. The arrogant eyes of the group from the scorching fire tribe turned into worry, they knew that this attack would definitely allow Darius to win and that Lumios had no chance of going unscathed, but they knew that it would take a week for him to regain his strength because that technique would even severely injure a 1st ranked Prime Visionist. Everyone in the Coliseum stared anxiously for the outcome of this spectacular fight, however every single group from the big organisations were confident Lumios would lose now... Except for Elder James. Lumios stopped advancing and stood there, his menacing red eyes stared at the huge white flames howling at him as it pressed towards him, as soon as the flames came into contact with his radiant blue flames, something inconceivable happened... The Blue flames from Lumios instantly devoured the white flames leaving no traces of the spectacular ''White Flames''. The crowd erupted into cheers, the powerful Visionists from the big groups however were dumbfounded, it was as if a thunderbolt struck them awake. Darius stared at Lumios lifelessly his expression was of utter disbelief. To him Lumios looked like a Demon that came from Hell, he had never felt so scared in his entire life, he was a young branch master of the Scorching Fire Tribe but right now he felt like he was an ant staring at death himself. When Lumios came close enough he unexpectedly gave a swing of his sword out of pure fear. The blade connected with Lumios''s ribs and it cleaved through him, a large sword wound was left on his chest as Lumios dropped onto the floor. The crowd went into an uproar when this happened, Darius''s fear changed into disbelief, then joy and then arrogance once again as he turned around pretty sure that he won the fight, the spectators turned wide eyed in fear. Lumios was slowly standing up, his wound was healing at a ferocious speed. His menacing eyes showed indifference, Darius looked back at his sword and he was instantly petrified with fear, his bronze tier sword had melted, as drops of hot metal sizzled onto the floor. Darius dropped onto the floor, madly crawling backwards. Lumios walked towards him slowly but steadily, each step caused a mountain of pressure to befall on Darius. Suddenly the most unexpected thing happened... Darius wet himself because of the fear. "St...Stop... I''m the... Young branch master of the Scorching Fire Tribe..." stuttered Darius as Lumios walked towards him, the temperature around him was swelteringly hot, the big body was now shrivelled in fear. Lumios stared at Darius calmly, Darius was the type of person he hated the most so he couldn''t care less about what happened to him, he pulled his flaming hands for a punch... "DON''T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM!" A voice suddenly erupted from the Scorching fire tribe branch. Lumios didn''t care who he was, his fiery fists still connected with Darius''s chest, "Crack...Crack," bones breaking could be heard as Darius was shot out of the ring like a bullet and crashed into another ring, where two other fighters had stopped just to watch their fight. Darius''s body left a crater in the other ring, his chest was caved in, burnt to a crisp, blood was profusely coming out of his mouth, as he stayed limp, unconscious on the ground. A middle aged man instantly appeared next to Darius, "NO! Darius stay with me!" and then a couple other men appeared from the Scorching Fire tribe, "Quickly treat him, give him the healing pill and take him away!" Roared the middle aged man. "Yes Branch Master Feuer!" the men nodded and quickly treated Darius. Branch Master Feuer gaze moved from his son to Lumios, Killing intent and blood thirst emanated out of him, directed at Lumios. Instantly a horrifyingly large amount of red flames converged around his palm and then he leaped going straight towards Lumios who was already back into his normal form, he was worn out and helpless after activating his Vision. "Damian, stop him..." Said Elder James coldly and then the third man disappeared and appeared right in front of the weary and powerless form of Lumios. "Stop..." he uttered one word and the energy around the branch masters collapsed and disappeared. The Branch Master was sweating profusely, no one could feel the power of the middle aged man except for the branch master. This man''s power was many times stronger than his own power. "This boy will not be touched by anyone here. He has been accepted as a student of the Sarien institute by Elder James himself, he and his family have the protection of the institute." The middle aged man''s words echoed around the Coliseum. The branch master knew what the words meant, it meant he couldn''t take revenge on the kid or his family. The Spectators in the Coliseum gasped and their gazes moved towards the booth Elder James was in and they saw Elder James nodding at the words of the Middle aged man. The crowd went into a huge stir of pandemonium, Leon, Kline and even Ed was surprised, however Kline and Ed were envious of Lumios, but Leon felt happy for him. Lumios deserved this because of his monstrous talent. "Match One of the second round winner is... Lumios." The referee roared as the spectators turned into a huge hubbub of commotion. They never expected that they could see a fight like this today, without realising the crowd had actually seen an Origin Vision in action. Lumios walked wearily walked off the ring when he reached the ground he swayed for a bit. Leon appeared out of nowhere and helped him steady himself and walk. "Lumios, you''re so powerful to even catch the eyes of the Sarien Institute," Spoke Leon delightedly without a hint of envy. When Lumios looked into his eyes and was surprised that he didn''t see fear or envy in Leon. This guy is really honest, he is a trustworthy friend. Lumios smiled, he was happy that he made an honest friend. "Oh it was nothing," he said embarrassedly. Leon and Lumios carried on joking around, Izak saw this and was surprised that Leon and Lumios were friends, he felt happy for him because since Leon was a kid, he never truly made a friend because of how he was looked down upon except for Saffire, his maid. Sadly she died two years ago because of an incurable disease which left Leon severely scarred. Because of this he would spend many days staring at the lake, this slowed down his training, but then suddenly his training speed increased by manifolds because he wanted to show Saffire he was going to become stronger. Now you could say that Lumios was Leons first real friend after Saffire and Izak felt happy for him. "Lumios, when you turned into that flame form, you were so cool, but you were cold as well." said Leon. "Yeah, I know. For some reason that happens, when I transform I lose all feelings for my enemy and I stop hesitating when I attack." Replied Lumios. Leon nodded and then they carried on chatting until they reached the resting area, after around ten minutes Leon was called. "Group 4, Match 10 Leon Vs Ariel." --------------------- Leon for the first time fought against a girl, since he was a guy he naturally hesitated to give decisive attacks against Ariel, because of this the fight dragged on. Ariel wasn''t an easy person to face as she was a 5th ranked Awakened, nonetheless Leon dragged the fight until he exhausted her and pushed her off the ring, winning his first fight of the day. After the fight between Lumios and Darius, nothing interesting happened, however the crowd was still ecstatic when they saw Lumios coming back on the stage, but every single person that came after Darius all gave up, disappointing the crowd. The very few that had the guts to face Lumios were overwhelmed instantly. On the other rings Leon, Kline and Ed fought their way through their own groups and coming out first. By the end of the second day, no one had seen Ed bring out his Vision, which made him very mysterious and Kline brought out his Vision once against a person from the Dual Sword School and won. Everyone in the stands new that Leon had no Vision, but what they were shocked about was that he could face 5th ranked Awakened without any visible hardship. In the beginning the spectators thought that he was lucky in the first fight however on the first day and the second day he won all his fights and advanced to the finals, everyone thought this was the furthest he''ll make in the tournament. This was something already worthy of praise but sadly Leon didn''t have a Vision or he would have been even more shocking than Lumios. ---------------------------- When Leon got home, he found Lumios, a middle aged man who looked very similar to Lumios except he had brown hair and green eyes, and a woman that had blonde hair and blue eyes like Leon. They must have been Lumios''s mother and father. His father was casually chatting with Izak and Elder James, while his mother was with Leons mother, Autumn. Once Leon arrived they had already finished talking, Lumios, his mother and father were both very happy after the talk ended. Leon arrived next to Lumios after he greeted Izak, Elder James and Lumios''s father. "Lumios, why are you here? and why are you so happy?" Leon asked. Lumios still had a smile on his face as he replied. "Me, my mother and my father will live here until the end of the tournament, and why I am so happy is because I got accepted into the Sarien Institute and my parents are allowed to move with me into the Capital city of the Kingdom." Leon was shocked, however he expected as much because of Lumios''s monstrous talent. Leon congratulated him and showed Lumios around the mansion as Lumios''s parents were talking to Izak and Autumn, Leon found out Lumios''s fathers name was: David Rakel and his mother''s name was, Iris Rakel. Leon even showed Lumios his favourite place in the mansion, the roof tops that faced the lake, flower garden and the moon. After a while Leon led Lumios to his room to take rest for the finals. Chapter 11: Sweet Shop On the third day of the tournament, the final stages of the Path Of Kings were about to start. Lumios and Leon were casually strolling through the stalls around the Coliseum. The finalists all had to be at the Coliseum by midday which wasn¡¯t for another two hours. Leon and Lumios were very young, they were both respectively 11 and 12 years old, they were taller than your average kid at that age and they were the youngest two participants in the finals. They were casually strolling through the market happily chatting, what they didn¡¯t notice was that they were the centre of attention the whole time. When they entered a stall they¡¯d be gifted with free food and other delicacies, this was because everyone in the city new about these two finalists: Lumios Rakel the ¡®Genius Commoner¡¯ and Leon Kaiser the young master who has a Strange power but no Vision. ¡°Lumios have you noticed that people are talking about us and openly taking glances.¡± asked Leon happily, this was the first time people were looking at him with respect. ¡°Yeah I know. I think it¡¯s probably because we¡¯ve entered the finals of the tournament, and also because we¡¯re the youngest in the finals,¡± replied Lumios. ¡°Let¡¯s forget about that for now, Leon let me show you this store that¡¯s two streets away, they make the best sweets out of all the shops in Reon.¡± Said Lumios, his eyes twinkling with delight. ¡°Let¡¯s got then,¡± Leon impatiently said, both Leon and Lumios had a sweet tooth, so they would search through different stores to find the tastiest food and deserts in the city. They both strolled through the streets nonchalantly, however they automatically became the centre of attention, the citizens would look at Lumios and they¡¯d be welled with pride because he was a commoner and when they looked at Leon they¡¯d be respectful, he was the direct descendant of Noah Kaiser. The young girls in the streets that were a similar age to them would steal glance at them and then giggle to each other. Leon and Lumios didn¡¯t notice this, but they were constantly stared at. They became very popular after entering the finals. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- When they were nearing the store there was a big ruckus and a large crowd was around the shop. Lumios was confused, very few people knew how excellent this shop was, but today it was packed with people. Leon was eavesdropping on a group of women conversing: ¡°It seems a participant from the Path of Kings, has taken a fancy towards the shop owners daughter,¡± said a woman. ¡°The one who took fancy is a 7th rank Awakened and he¡¯s got a huge group protecting him, it seems we can¡¯t do anything to help the girl,¡± said another. From this Leon and Lumios understood what was happening, Leon turned to look at Lumios who looked slightly distressed by this, so they both pushed their way forward through the crowd of people. When they reached the front of the crowd they saw an arrogant young lad wearing training apparels, he looked like he was around 16 to 17 years old. He looked rather ordinary however he was guarded by six muscular, bulky men that all had an exceptionally powerful blood thirsty aura that only comes about when you¡¯re constantly facing life and death battles. Lumios sensed were all at the level of a 9th rank Awakened, and on the floor there was a young girl who was the same age as Leon and Lumios, being held by a middle aged man who must have been her father. The girl had brown hair that grew to her waist, silver eyes, long eyelashes and full thin eyebrows, she was an enchanting young girl, in a few years she would definitely become a beauty that could cause cities to fight for her sake. The young man stared lecherously at the girl, this disgusted everyone that was watching but they couldn¡¯t do anything because the lecherous boy was guarded by very strong men. The young man abruptly broke the silence, ¡°Little girl come with me and I¡¯ll take you away from this trashy city, I can give you status, money and power, all you have to do is come with me a 7th Rank Awakened who is in the tournament finals.¡± He said proudly without bothering to hide his intentions. The girl was frightened for her own and her father¡¯s well being. Earlier in the day while she was sweeping the floor in front of the store, this young man surrounded by his guards were walking through the streets and he had unintentionally caught sight of her and was bewitched by her instantly. that young man walked towards her, he wanted her, he desired her, because of that this situation arose and now they were troubled by this young man who is now trying to force her to leave with him. ¡°Young master Romeo, why do you want her? My daughter is just a young girl?¡± said the girl¡¯s father unwillingly. ¡°Shut up!¡± Coldly said the young man called Romeo as he swept towards the middle aged man and gave him a kick in the stomach which sent the middle aged man crashing into the store window. ¡°DAD!¡± Screamed the girl. The middle aged man was stabbed by small shards of glass, blood was slowly staining his clothes as he coughed blood, blood stains were appearing on his grey hair. He slowly staggered up, he was unwilling to let his daughter go with this shameless Bastard. The girl was crying as she saw blood come out of her father¡¯s mouth and head, his clothes were patched with blood. At that moment Leon turned to look at Lumios and saw a grotesque expression on his face, he was staring coldly at the young man. Leon was shocked at first and then seemed to understand: Does Lumios have a relationship with that girl? Leon guessed why Lumios was staring at Romeo resentfully, but he wasn¡¯t sure. Lumios took a step forward and then vanished from his spot, he appeared between the girl and Romeo, out of nowhere he sent his fist crashing into Romeo¡¯s face, sending him tumbling into the store. Lumios didn¡¯t even turn to look at the young man¡¯s guards who were preparing to attack and turned to the girl crying on the floor, he was looking at her gently wanting to comfort her but he didn¡¯t know what to do. Romeo stood up, his nose was crooked as blood ran down from it, he stared at Lumios with resentment. ¡°You Bastard! how dare you punch me, do you even know who I am?!¡± The bystanders that were watching were shocked, a young kid had appeared in front of the young man without a trace of fear and struck at him with rage. That very boy had blonde hair, blue eyes and a lean figure, the crowd of people immediately recognised him: ¡°That¡¯s Lumios, the one who got invited into the Sarien Institute by Elder James,¡± shouted a man. The crowd went into a huge uproar, Leon appeared next to Lumios, preparing to defend against the muscular guards if they attack. ¡°He¡¯s Lumios,¡± Romeo¡¯s eyes widened, Shit¡ Why is he here? he instantly regretted asking such a stupid question in front of Lumios, and when he saw Lumios¡¯s gentle and loving gaze on the girl he was shocked. He likes that girl? No wonder he attacked me. His expression instantly turned from shock to a mischievous grin. Lumios looked at the girl and spoke ¡°Risa are you alright?¡± The girl looked up as tears rolled down her face, bewitching Lumios. ¡°Lumios why are you hear?¡± her gentle trembling voiced with surprise. Leon was now looking over Risa¡¯s father who was slowly walking towards them. A voice abruptly broke this calm and gentle scene, ¡°Okay since the ¡®Genius¡¯ Lumios¡¯ has a relationship with this woman, I won¡¯t do anything. Just think of this as a mistake, but first let me introduce myself: My name is Romeo Dias, the grandson of a senior instructor from the Dual Sword school. I¡¯ll apologise for my mistakes, so I¡¯ll politely take my leave then, young genius Lumios and young master Leon.¡± he said with a smile which anyone could tell was fake, but Romeo couldn¡¯t provoke Lumios. Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. Both Lumios and Leon didn¡¯t have a good impression of this young man, so they didn¡¯t give him any more attention and naturally lowered their guards against him. When Romeo turned and walked towards the six men he gave a sly smile and gave them a signal, the six men gave a bloodthirsty smile and one of them rushed at Leon. Leon had lowered his guard so he didn¡¯t notice the man until it was too late, he barely had enough time to create a small membrane of concentrated external armour as the man kicked Leon on the chest sending him crashing into the wall of one of the shops. The bricks came crashing down on Leon, on the corners of Leon¡¯s lips, blood rolled down his chin and dripping onto the concrete floor and debris. ¡°Haha, so what! if you¡¯re protected by the Sarien institute as long as I don¡¯t hurt you Lumios or your family, I can still take care of your friends.¡± Howled Romeo as the other five guards surrounded them, they were all 9th ranked awakened. ¡°You bastard.¡± Coldly said Lumios. ¡°Hahahaha!¡± Laughed Romeo. Leon¡¯s figure staggered up from the rubble and slowly walked towards Lumios, blood coming from his forehead and his mouth. ¡°Romeo you¡¯re despicable to have attacked me from behind, don¡¯t you care about you¡¯re school¡¯s reputation¡ Don¡¯t you know you¡¯re status is nothing compared to mine¡± Mocked Leon, staring disdainfully. Romeo¡¯s expression darkened, ¡°What?! What kind of crap are you spouting? You¡¯re clan died out so long ago, how dare you act arrogant in front of a member of the Dual Sword school.¡± Said Romeo, suddenly he laughed, ¡°Hahaha, I remember now, you¡¯re that trash young master from the Kaiser Clan, you don¡¯t even have a Vision, how can you be arrogant towards me, when you only reached the finals because of your luck. ¡± Leon frowned, his appearance changed from a frown to a cold smile, ¡°If I remember correctly Romeo, the first headmaster of the Dual Sword school owes our clan a great debt, do you remember why? I¡¯ll tell you why it¡¯s because my ancestor Noah saved his life. And now you, you of all people dare to act against me, a descendant of Noah. Have you no shame.¡± ¡°¡..¡± Romeo¡¯s expression turned grotesque, he never knew that this kid that looked no older than 11 was so smart. Leon had turned the entire situation around, if Romeo attacked him and the news spread he would be severely punished, because everyone in the school knew that the old man of the Dual Sword school had his life saved by Noah. This would destroy the Dual Sword school¡¯s reputation. Romeo had nowhere to release his anger. Shit¡ This kid is pissing me off, If I attack him, I¡¯ll be punished and expelled from the school even grandfather won¡¯t be able to help me. ¡°Okay I won¡¯t do anything, but you can¡¯t stop me from taking that girl.¡± he said reluctantly. Lumios instantly turned cold, ¡°You still have the guts to ask for Risa¡ Okay, if it¡¯s like that I¡¯ll tell you something, Risa¡¯s my Wife. Now she and her father have the protection of the Sarien Institute as well, so you can get the F*ck out of here now.¡± Risa¡¯s cheeks turned red as she heard Lumios confess this, she turned to Lumios standing there steadfast, hatefully staring at Romeo, he then suddenly turned at her and his gaze switched to a tender look, Risa blushed her cheeks turning into a deeper shade of red and quickly turned away from his gaze. Even Leon was shocked at Lumios¡¯s sudden outburst, he just figured out Lumios liked Risa but he wasn¡¯t sure and now he shouted it out for everyone to hear confirming his thoughts. Romeo instantly went into shock, he came to take this girl away, but he never expected that because of Leon and Lumios, he lost the chance to take the bewitching doll like girl home with him. He hesitantly turned and left, his expression was full of hatred, he turned around and walked through the crowd that opened up for him and his guards. The crowd was shocked at how the situation changed in a matter of a minutes and at how Leon¡¯s sharp mouth dissolved the situation with a few words that forced Romeo to give up. After a few minutes the crowd dispersed leaving Leon, Lumios, Risa and her father alone. ¡°Dad, are you alright?¡± said Risa. ¡°Yes I¡¯m fine Risa. Lumios, thank you for protecting Risa.¡± the middle aged man said appreciatively as he turned to face Lumios. ¡°No, it¡¯s fine uncle Sadri, I couldn¡¯t just stand there and watch him do that,¡± replied Lumios. Lumios turned to face Risa, suddenly her cheeks went red again. ¡°Lumios, thank you for saying something that you never meant to protect me and my dad.¡± said Risa regretfully when she calmed down slightly. Lumios frowned, ¡°What I said wasn¡¯t a lie, I want to marry you¡ not now but when we get older, Is that alright with you?¡± Lumios smiled as he said this, he scratched his cheeks, slightly embarrassed. Risa blushed again, she couldn¡¯t help it, she secretly liked Lumios from the first time she met him and this felt unreal for her and now he came to protect her, ¡°Y¡Yeah.¡± She said while looking down. Lumios pulled Risa up from the ground: ¡°Now this means you¡¯re coming with me to the Capital, including uncle Sadri.¡± Risa and Uncle Sadri nodded. ¡°Cough¡ Cough¡¡± Everyone turned around to face Leon, who felt very awkward watching this, he wasn¡¯t sure if he was meant to be here, so he coughed to ease the tension for himself. ¡°I think you¡¯re forgetting someone,¡± Leon smiled awkwardly. ¡°Ah! Sorry Leon,¡± Lumios said embarrassedly for the first time. ¡°I forgot to introduce you; Risa, uncle Sadri this is my friend Leon, the young master from the Kaiser Clan and Leon this is my ¡®future Wife¡¯, Risa and my uncle Sadri.¡± Lumios said, while he teased Risa. ¡°Risa here is a 3rd ranked Awakened water Visionist and she only reached this level because of my help, her talent isn¡¯t that bad is it.¡± Lumios smiled haughtily, puffed up his chest. To Leon this was another side of Lumios that he hasn¡¯t seen yet. ¡°Okay, okay. Anyway Lumios, the finals are starting in about twenty minutes, we better head out now. If you want you can bring these two to the Coliseum and for the store,¡± Leon thought about it for a moment. ¡°I¡¯ll pay for the damages.¡± ¡°No we can¡¯t let you do that Young Master Leon,¡± exclaimed Uncle Sadri. ¡°Don¡¯t worry. The cost for repair is minor and any friend of brother Lumios is a friend of mine, so you¡¯re included sister Risa and Uncle Sadri,¡± said Leon thoughtfully. ¡°Okay Lumios let¡¯s go now or we¡¯ll be late.¡± Chapter 12: Leon Vs Romeo Leon and Lumios barely arrived on time, compared to the first day the rest area was mostly empty with only the forty finalists including Leon and Lumios waiting. On a certain corner Kline and Ed were sitting on stone chairs nonchalantly like Leon and Lumios, on one corner Romeo was sitting down casually. Romeo suddenly turned and caught Leon¡¯s eye, he stared hatefully at Leon and then moved his gaze. The other finalists were unknown to Leon, but most of them were from the groups representing the Darcius Corp, Dual sword school and the Lucius group. The Scorching Fire Tribe had lost their main representative and the rest were not considered a threat to the other finalists. A man walked in from the corridors: ¡°Finalists, you will now need to head to the arena, to take ballot. Please follow me to the ring.¡± Leon and Lumios stood up from the stone chairs and followed, so did the other participants. The corridor was dimly lit, no one bothered to make a sound, faint noises could be heard at the end of the tunnel. As they drew closer to the white light at the exit of the tunnel, the noise was growing louder. Leon and Lumios could hear the cheers as they exited the corridors first, they were both blinded by the bright light, as they¡¯re eyes adjusted to the light they could see a huge sea of people cheering, roaring, shouting at the sight of the finalists. The Coliseum was packed to the point where not a single step on the staircases had space for people to walk through, the finals were being broadcasted to every home in the city. The intensity of the crowd was many folds greater than the previous two days. ¡°Whoa,¡± Leon¡¯s eyes were glittering with excitement and so were Lumios¡¯s. They were standing in front of over a hundred thousand people and even more people at home who were watching it on the 3D holograms. This was probably the biggest event in the past few decades in Reon and Leon was on the stage preparing for the finals. The main ring was much bigger than the small rings, it had a diameter of five-hundred metres. In the centre of the ring there was a table with a small wooden ballot on top and a man was standing next to it¡ ¡°Finalists! You will now come here to pick a number from this ballot, the person who has the same number as you will be your opponent for the first fight. The number you choose will depend on you, I wish you all good luck.¡± Explained the referee through the voice amplification stone. ¡°First up, Leon Kaiser¡¡± announced the referee. Leon slowly, but steadily walked towards the ring and jumped onto the platform. In a few steps he reached the small wooden ballot and he put his hand in the hole , he chose a random sheet of paper in the ballot and pulled it out, Leon handed it to the referee. The referee looked at it then announced ¡°Leon Kaiser participant number one, he will fight in the first match with another participant who picks the same number as him.¡± On a giant holographic screen it showed Leons name and there was an empty space in the place where his opponents name was meant to be, there were thirty-nine other spaces for the rest of the fighters. Leon slowly walked off the ring and Lumios walked past him onto the stage and picked a number from the ballot. ¡°Lumios Rakel Participant number twenty¡¡± Lumios walked back and stood next to Leon: ¡°This is such an unexpected coincidence, you¡¯re in the first fight and I¡¯m in the last¡ Argh It¡¯s going to be so boring,¡± said Lumios with a bored expression. Leon smiled at Lumios¡¯s open honesty. ¡°Lumios, I hope you reach the finals so I can beat you,¡± said Leon with a mocking smile. ¡°Oh, so it¡¯s like that, let¡¯s see who wins; Me or you¡± remarked Lumios. Leon nodded. As time passed, slowly all forty fighters slowly picked a number¡ ¡°Romeo Dias participant number one, opponent Leon Kaiser in the first match.¡± announced the referee, as his name popped on the holographic screen next to Leon¡¯s. Leon turned to stare at Romeo who was unexpectedly staring at him, a devilish smile appeared on Romeo¡¯s face, his intentions were very clear to Leon. Hahaha¡ I can rip you to shreds on the arena without you or your family being able to rebuke me, I¡¯ll get my revenge for such humiliation¡ hahaha, Romeo thought to himself. Slowly the sequence of the fights had been decided on. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª After about ten minutes the referee announced: ¡°First match of the finals: Leon Kaiser Vs Romeo Dias from the Dual Sword school.¡± Both Leon and Romeo stood up at the same time and they walked across to the platform shoulder to shoulder. When they reached the ring they both moved a hundred metres apart. ¡°Hahahaha, I can beat the crap out of you here and you won¡¯t be able to say a word in refute.¡± Mocked Romeo at the first chance he got. Leon stared at the arrogant young man and said with a smirk: ¡°So what? All I need is one punch to take care of you.¡± His spoke in a way that not only Lumios could hear it even the other participants, the referee and the powerhouses from the big organisations could hear. ¡°One punch¡ You actually think you can beat me with one punch, you bastard!¡± Rebuked Romeo, as his expression twisted and his complexion changed. ¡°Okay, I¡¯ll cripple you hear, right now. Let¡¯s see if you¡¯re able to back it up or chatting sh*t.¡± The Prime ranked referee awkwardly stood between the two youths who hurled insults at each other, he was even impressed by Leon¡¯s sharp words and his calm demeanour, which easily caused Romeo to be even more furious . ¡°Enough you two¡ The fight will begin¡. Now!¡± His voice echoed across the Coliseum. ¡°VISION MANIFESTATION: WIND CYCLONE GUNS¡± roared Romeo, as two guns materialised on each hand, both releasing a green aura. What many people did not know about the Dual sword school was that not every student was a dual sword user, that was not important the ¡®Dual Sword¡¯ in the name was respect for the first Headmaster of the school, however what matters was ¡®Dual¡¯, every single student used two weapons, Dual Weapons. He¡¯s got a Wind Vision¡ And his choice of weapons is a gun? Thought Leon, In this day and age guns were unorthodox because they require ammo and were useless in close quarter combat, however guns made from Vision manifestations don¡¯t have the downside of limited ammo but it uses the natural energy in the body. ¡°Get ready! Let¡¯s see if you can beat me in one punch, you arrogant Bastard!¡± Voiced Romeo. Leon gathered energy around his body to create an armour. ¡°Bang!¡± unexpectedly a gunshot was heard, hitting his shoulders. His external armour immediately shattered preventing him from forming an Energy armour. The wind bullet deeply engraved itself into his body, blood oozed out of the wound. ¡°Tut, Tut, Tut¡ I¡¯m not letting you use your weird ability.¡± said Romeo as he mocked Leon. ¡°What the hell are you doing?¡± Roared Leon, he didn¡¯t expect Romeo to be so shameless as to not let him prepare his external technique, but he couldn¡¯t do anything as it did not go against the rules. In the booth, Izak stared at Romeo, ¡°What a despicable kid, does he not know the concept of honouring your opponent in battle.¡± he said with annoyance. ¡°That kid is indeed despicable, to think he would prevent Leon from using his External Techniques,¡± sighed Elder James. ¡°I wonder how Leon will win against him? I heard that kid from the Dual Sword school is actually a 7th rank Awakened.¡± Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°7th Ranked?!¡± said Izak with shock, Leons going to have a tough time¡ So unlucky. Leon did his best to gather a small amount of energy to his feet, and he crouched down like a panther and then dashed towards Romeo closing down on him. Romeo smirked and moved away from Leon, pouncing backwards, keeping a constant distance away from Leon and started shooting at him. Romeo was as hard to catch as a slippery snake, whenever Leon thought he caught him, he¡¯d easily slip away, sending energy bullets at him. Romeo¡¯s movements were really fast because his element was Wind which naturally increased his speed. ¡°BANG¡BANG¡± Two bullets flashed past Leon, Leon flinched as sweat trickled down his forehead, Romeo used this as a chance to shoot. ¡°Bang¡¡± A bullet whizzed towards him, however he twisted his body slightly, just enough so it wouldn¡¯t hit his chest and instead hit him on his left arm. ¡°Aaargh¡¡± Roared Leon¡He¡¯s too quick, if this drags on, I¡¯ll lose. I have to find a way to beat him fast. Leon thought as he dodged another set of bullets and then a thought hit him, for that to work I have to drag the fight on. Romeo kept on appearing and disappearing moving extremely fast as constant rays of wind bullets whizzed past him, Romeo had an advantage when it came to speed because he was Wind Visionist. ¡°Haha, what¡¯s wrong with you Leon? Why have you been dodging this whole time? I though one punch was all you needed.¡± Mocked Romeo. ¡°Yeah and I stand by it, I¡¯ll beat you with one punch, because for trash like you one punch is all I need,¡± Rebuked Leon. ¡°You arrogant Bastard!¡± he didn¡¯t expect Leon to still be this ignorant, this caused him to become furious at Leon. The Coliseum was ecstatic, they were watching two geniuses from the same generation duke it out on the ring: The dark horse with no vision, Leon Kaiser Vs a 7th rank Awakened Romeo Dias. ¡°I¡¯ve bet on Romeo, Leon is strong but he can¡¯t beat a 7th rank Awakened even if he did beat a fifth rank awakened but this is two ranks higher,¡± said one man. ¡°Romeo will win, Leon has no chance,¡± said another man. ¡°All Leon is doing is dodging, this fight is getting boring.¡± ¡°I think Leon will win,¡± said a young girl. Most of the spectators expected Romeo to win, very few were expecting Leon to win. Leon was struggling to dodge and then Romeo¡¯s voice echoed: ¡°I¡¯ll let you see my most powerful technique to respect your ancestor,¡± smiled Romeo coldly. ¡®Wind Element: Bullet Barrage!¡± Suddenly a bright green light was emitted from the muzzle as Romeo dashed around the arena, the energy was extremely powerful, it wasn¡¯t as powerful as Darius¡¯s Scorching Style however it¡¯s power was at the level of an 8th rank Visionist. Izak seeing this could only clench his fists, in regret. If only Leon could activate his External technique, it would have been easier for him, Leon had suddenly stopped and was standing in the middle staring calmly, this made him an easy target for Romeo. As Romeo dashed around the arena laughing hysterically. ¡°This is the end!¡± Romeo roared. Leon stood there as a large cluster of bullets shot out of the green light, each one releasing a breeze while rocketing through the air racing towards his calm figure, suddenly Leon¡¯s eyes turned fierce. Its time¡ Large amounts of energy appeared at Leon¡¯s feet, a faint white light appeared gathering quickly, the bullets still racing towards him, suddenly he vanished from his position, leaving dust in that place. The bullets past straight through the dust left in the air. Leon appeared a hundred metres away from his previous position, the bullets turned around and chased down Leon. ¡°Leon, even if you¡¯ve got back a small amount of energy, you can¡¯t escape me!¡± however his tone was different from what he was feeling. What the hell? how¡¯d he activate his strange power? I have to finish this quickly. Unexpectedly Leon laughed, ¡°Haha, you think I¡¯m going to lose against a worthless trash like you!¡± Leon said as Romeo¡¯s expression darkened. ¡°Let me show you my power,¡± suddenly a tremor ran through the air, causing the cluster of wind energy bullets to falter. On Leon¡¯s right hand and arm appeared an intense bright light, he clenched his hand into a fist as faint ripples of energy was released. These faint ripples could only be felt by the experts that came from outside the city. Romeo was close enough to notice the change in the atmosphere, he felt sweat trickle dow his forehead. He quickly moved the cluster of bullets in front of him and then the green light on the muzzle of his gun grew brighter releasing a huge bullet, that looked more like a small missile appeared flying towards Leons direction. ¡°Bullet Missile¡± he said gasping for breath. A cold smile appeared on Romeo¡¯s face, ¡°It¡¯s Over Leon, It¡¯s Over. You¡¯ve lost Leon, give up!¡± He said with certainty now as he frantically laughed. Romeo¡¯s skin was now pale, devoid of blood, that attack drained all his remaining energy. Leon raced towards Romeo, the resistant wind parted for him as he moved swiftly, small ripples were released from his fists. Romeo stared at him as the Bullet missile shot towards Leon at an extremely fast speed, the atmosphere was intense, both special techniques power was unquestionable, power was undulating from both techniques. The gap between Leon and the Bullet Missile was now a 100 metre¡75¡40¡ As soon as it reached 20 metres Leon bent down and leaped 20 feet into the air as he pulled his fists back. The Bullet Missile slowly arced upwards towards Leon who was in the air. ¡°SELF MADE EXTERNAL TECHNIQUE: TREMOR IMPACT!¡± Roared Leon as the faint ripple grew in strength. Leon raised his fists towards the bullet missile which was surrounded by a cluster of wind bullets as he descended. His fists struck the tip of the Bullet Missile, Romeo saw something horrifying when Leon struck the Bullet Missile, he saw Leon smile coldly in this dangerous situation as he mouthed: ¡°Tremor.¡± Chapter 13: Quarter-Finals ¡°BANG!!!¡± A huge explosion transpired, an enormous wave of wind rippled across the Coliseum, remnants of the attack collided with the invisible energy barrier covering the ring. Smoke covered the ring, clouding peoples vision, no one could see what was happening within the ring, all they could do was wait for the smoke to clear to witness the result. The spectators were holding their breath, every second caused the tension to rise, everyone was on the edge of their seats, wondering who would come out on top after the exchange of attacks. Anyone could tell that they both wanted to end the match with the previous exchange. Elder James, couldn¡¯t believe what was happening anymore, Leon made him feel helpless, at the beginning of the tournament he felt that Leon would not be able to show such power. He was furthermore embarrassed at the fact that he couldn¡¯t see through this kids power hiding his power until now. Leon had been constantly surprising him, when he thought Leon would definitely lose, he¡¯d jump back with a bigger over the top revelation. ¡°This boy¡ He¡¯s created his own External technique, he¡¯s created his own techique¡ What a¡ monster¡ What a monster¡¡± Each word came out as a mumble. Elder James knew how difficult it was to create an attack, this was something those at the level of a prime would dream of making and it would take a few decades for those individuals to master External Techniques to Leon¡¯s Level. Elder James continued to murmur as he stared at Leon. ¡°IMPACT!¡± Echoed a voice in the dust as a huge bang occurred within the smoke, a huge gust of wind, swept the smoke away leaving a figure whose fist was connected with the other figures chest. The spectators gasped as they saw the sight of Leon¡¯s fist connecting with Romeo¡¯s chest. Behind Leon you could see that the Wind bullet¡¯s and the Bullet Missile disintegrating into energy. Romeo immediately coughed a mouthful of saliva, the Bullet Missile had taken most of the force of the previous attack, but now Romeo felt energy well up inside him causing his internal energy to fall in turmoil. ¡°ONE!¡± Leon¡¯s voice echoed through the silent Coliseum. ¡°BANG¡¡± It was heard on Romeo¡¯s shoulder as it was crushed, Romeo was sent soaring through the air as he coughed a mouth of blood. ¡°TWO!¡± Said Leon. ¡°BANG¡¡± Another explosion occurred in the silent Coliseum on Romeo¡¯s other shoulder, preventing him from landing as he soared out of the stadium, the pure force of the attack caused people to shiver thinking what would happen if they were in the exact same situation. ¡°Three!¡± ¡°BANG¡¡± This third explosion was like a clap of thunder, it went off where Leon¡¯s fists connected with Romeo¡¯s chest. Romeo was shot into the Arena¡¯s wall smashing into it, clusters of rubble fell crashing onto Romeo¡¯s body, dust scattered around him as he coughed more blood, his clothes were stained red, a small pool of blood lay at his feet, he was a sorry sight to behold¡ However Romeo stared at Leon, even though he was bleeding severely, had some broken bones like his shoulder bones and ribs, his injuries only looked horrible on the outside and his internal¡¯s weren¡¯t damaged heavily. Romeo knew Leon held back a great deal of power¡ If Leon released its full power¡ He couldn¡¯t help but quiver at the thought, Romeo stared at Leon gratefully, this techniques frightening power would¡¯ve killed him or severely injured him. Romeo stood up very slowly and said: ¡°I give up.¡± The spectators were silent for a moment and then burst into a wild pack of beasts as the Coliseum went into an uproar, firstly because they had thought Romeo was severely injured and would not be able to stand up for weeks, secondly because of Leon¡¯s power that betrayed everyone¡¯s expectations and finally because Romeo just conceded wholeheartedly. ¡°What a powerful external technique, to cause three more invisible attacks to consecutively strike him without losing a bit of strength when compared to the first attacks power. What did this child do create such a horrifying technique.¡± Mumbled Elder James to himself, to create such a powerful technique Elder James knew that constant practise and failure would be needed. I need this Kid, even without a Vision he¡¯ll definitely be a terrifying existence if he is able to master External Techniques to the highest level and also if he learns to train with a weapon, Elder James thought. ¡°Izak I want your son, I want him in the Institute,¡± said Elder James resolutely, out of nowhere. Izak was shocked, staring at the serious expression of Elder James, he couldn¡¯t believe Elder James was inviting Leon to the institute. ¡°Of course Elder, of course we¡¯d be grateful if you accept him into Sarien Institute.¡± said Izak with excitement. Elder James must have been really impressed by Leon¡¯s performance, Izak thought to himself. Aster, Lerdo and even Niel was surprised by what Elder James requested. ¡°The winner of the First match is:¡ Leon Kaiser!¡± Suddenly announced the referee. The Coliseum went into utter pandemonium. The Genius without a Vision, Leon Kaiser of the Kaiser Clan beat a 7th rank awakened with his strange power, this was something that would spread throughout the city even to some other cities. Leon proved all the doubters wrong, he surprised all those people that didn¡¯t believe in him, he was definitely the first non Visionist to have such powers in all of the Kingdom. Leon was standing in the middle of the ring bathing in the cheers of the spectators, he gave a happy smile and walked off the ring, what he didn¡¯t notice was that he was glanced upon by a large amount of young girls, unexpectedly he became very popular with the young people similar to his age and gained many admiring gazes from young boys. Leon arrived next to Lumios and smiled, Lumios raised his fist and tapped it onto Leon¡¯s shoulder. ¡°Oh¡ You did really well Leon¡ but I would¡¯ve won that fight in half the time,¡± mocked Lumios jokingly. Leon rolled his eyes as Lumios smirked. ¡°Let¡¯s just watch the rest of the fights.¡± ¡°Yeah, but one question: What was that attack and how¡¯d you pull it off? you were being held down and then you suddenly gushed out a huge amount of energy. I can use the same power as you, but when you compare the power, it¡¯s like an Ant facing an Elephant.¡± ¡°Hehehe¡ The power that me and you use is called ¡®External Techniques,¡¯ it¡¯s really powerful but it only trains you¡¯re body. The only reason I got this far is because I trained like hell to reach this level.¡± ¡°External Techniques, so that¡¯s what it was called¡ then what about that attack you used?¡± ¡°I created it while I was training, it¡¯s called ¡®Tremor Impact,¡¯ there are two components to it: First is Tremor, it causes ripples and diffuses the power of an attack in battle, that¡¯s how I easily took care of that bullet missile; The second component is Impact, when I punch the person it continues causing three invisible attacks, each invisible attack does not lose out in power compared to the first punch.¡± explained Leon. ¡°But to use it during the fight I had to store a large amount of energy. It took me quite a while to gather the energy very slowly so that Romeo wouldn¡¯t detect it, that¡¯s why when I released it a large amount of energy appeared.¡± ¡°Aren¡¯t you afraid that I¡¯ll use this when I face you?¡± smiled Lumios. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. Leon grinned, ¡°Just because you know what it does doesn¡¯t mean you can stop it¡ Anyway the second fights starting lets watch.¡± Lumios nodded. The rest of the fights were rather anticlimactic unlike Leons. Even Lumios¡¯s fight ended with his opposition giving up before he entered the stadium. In Leon¡¯s second fight, he fought against a 19 year old who was a 6th rank awakened. It didn¡¯t take long for Leon to beat him, but he found it slightly difficult because this was a fully grown young man who was innately stronger than the small Leon. Kline and Ed both won their fights with ease, their arrogance and power sparked the interests of the organisations that came to watch the tournament and recruit some talented young individuals. The Quarter-finals took place with the last 10 participants left in the tournament in the afternoon after a break for the participants, this tournament wasn¡¯t just there to see who was strongest, it was also there to test the endurance of the fighters. The semi-finals were to take place on the fourth day and the finals were to take place on the fifth day. The fights for the quarter-finals were finally decided on : Match One: Leon Kaiser Vs Lison White Match Two: Kline Rauber Vs Christopher Veruth Match Three: Edward Rauber Vs Drake Lucius Match Four: Lumios Rakel Vs Samdris Hart Match Five: Fauder Feuer Vs Harrison Darris ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- Leon and Lumios were strolling through the Coliseum and were heading for the booth that Izak and Elder James were in. The corridors of the Coliseum were well taken care of: the walls were white, hallway was well lit and enough space for ten people standing side by side to easily walk through. The doors for the VIP booths were marked with numbers. ¡°Why are we heading to meet your father?¡±Asked Lumios. ¡°I don¡¯t know¡¡± said Leon as he checked the numbers on the door ¡°17¡18..19¡20¡20 is the booth that Elder James and father are in.¡± Leon and Lumios stopped in front of a white door that had a gold ¡¯20¡¯ nailed into the door. ¡°Knock¡Knock¡Knock¡¡± Leon knocked on the door three times. It was quiet for a moment then a familiar voice spoke, ¡°Come in.¡± Both Leon and Lumios entered the room, a gust of cool air hit them, because of the air conditioning it was much cooler inside the booth than it was outside under the rays of the sun. The booth was well lit and had an open balcony for those within the booth to watch the fight clearly, there was a table set with extravagant food and expensive drinks and wine. Sitting in the balcony was the group of people from the Sarien Institute, Leon¡¯s father, his grandfather Aster and his great-uncle Lerdo. They all turned to face Leon, Izak¡¯s face was brimming with joy and Elder James looked at Leon, observing him. Leon and Lumios slowly greeted everyone in the booth, including his Great-uncle Lerdo and the arrogant Niel. ¡°Leon you¡¯ve brought Lumios here as well, it doesn¡¯t matter. Elder James has something to tell you,¡± Said Izak. ¡°Ah yes¡ Leon you¡¯re performance today was outside of my expectations, so I¡¯ve talked with your father and you¡¯ve been permitted to join Sarien Institute¡ Both you and Lumios will join the Institute and you¡¯ll both be my Personal Disciples.¡± Said Elder James. The last words Elder James spoke of caused everyone in the room to have dumbfounded look, even the three middle age men were startled. They never thought that Elder James would make both Leon and Lumios his Personal Disciples, this was something totally unheard of. Since Elder James first became an Elder in the Sarien Institute he has only taken one disciple and that disciple is now a general of the Sarien Kingdoms army. There have been many that have begged Elder James to become his disciple, sacrificing their families entire wealth for such a chance. Not even Niel was able to become his Personal Disciple, despite begging for many years he was denied such a privilege but he was granted the chance to travel with the Elder to Reon. Elder James picking two disciple that he will personally train at the same time was unprecedented. Izak was thunderstruck his son was becoming a Personal disciple of Elder James, this was amazing. Leon and Lumios stared at each other in awe, the both of them were going to go to the capital to join the Sarien Institute, they never knew what Elder James meant by Personal disciple but they were both happy that the both of them were going to become Personal disciples together. ¡°Elder¡ Elder James you can¡¯t do this, I¡¯ve waited for so many years but you¡¯ve never accepted me and now you accept these two commoners how can I accept this.¡± Said Niel frantically, to him this was a major blow to his pride. ¡°Niel¡¡± Elder James warned coldly¡¡±Not now.¡± Niel stopped talking in fear that he¡¯ll anger the Elder, this was a figure that was in the process of creating a Vision Conscious. Leon and Lumios weren¡¯t bothered with what Niel said, they were still excited at the fact they were joining the Sarien Institute. Elder James then spoke warmly, ¡°When the tournament ends both you and Lumios will come with me to the Capital to join the Institute. The both of you will be personally trained by me.¡± Both Leon Lumios immediately cupped their hands and said in unison: ¡°Thank you for taking us as disciples, Master James.¡± This caused Elder James to give a heartfelt smile. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- Both Leon and Lumios returned to the arena, the quarter-finals were about to start. Leon was preparing to face Lison a 7th rank Awakened, he was a 20 year-old who came from a small sect in Reon. The spectators didn¡¯t seem too interested, because they expected Leon to win. ¡°tap¡tap¡tap¡¡± footsteps were heard closing in on Leon and Lumios who finally arrived in the Arena. ¡°Hahaha¡ I didn¡¯t expect trash like you, to reach this stage in the tournament¡¡± an arrogant voice spoke out. Leon looked up to see the towering figure of Kline walking towards him alone, ¡°Kline¡¡± ¡°You better hope that you lose this round¡ or next round you¡¯ll face me.¡± Sneered Kline, ¡°Better give up or I¡¯ll cripple you and there¡¯ll be no one there to stop me.¡± He smiled coldly. Leon was about to rebuke at Kline, then abruptly, ¡°if you cripple him, I¡¯ll break every bone in your body, but I¡¯m sure Leon will do that himself, so go run back to your master like the loyal mutt you are,¡± said Lumios coldly. Both Leon and Kline were shocked by Lumios¡¯s statement. ¡°Hmph¡ We¡¯ll see,¡± Kline simply turned around and walked away after being harshly refuted by Lumios who was clearly stronger than him, this caused him to slightly fear this young boy. ¡°Thanks¡ I couldn¡¯t of said it any better,¡± said Leon. ¡°You¡¯re obviously going to win, if you want to face me in the finals,¡± grinned Lumios. Leon nodded gratefully. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- ¡°Quarter-Finals, First Match: Leon Kaiser Vs Lison White.¡± The voice of the referee abruptly echoed around the Coliseum. The atmosphere of the Coliseum instantly sparked into a flame, Leon stood up. ¡°Watch me win this.¡± Exclaimed Leon. Lumios simply grinned and said, ¡°You better win.¡± Leon turned and headed towards the ring under the watch of the other finalists, Kline coldly stared at Leon. The crowd was enchanted by the unexpected Black horse of the tournament and were cheering their hearts out. Leon jumped onto the ring, he was dressed in full black training apparels, the colour quickly became his signature colour. Stood in front was a man who looked like he was 19 to 20 years old, who was focusing on his hardest fight so far. A voice echoed in the ring, igniting the roars of the crowd: ¡°Fight Starts¡ NOW!¡± Chapter 14: Shocking Event ¡°Fight Starts¡ NOW!¡± Echoed the referee¡¯s voice. Lison stuck out his arms as cold air circulated around his palm: ¡±VISION MANIFESTATION: ICE SOLID SPEAR.¡± A spear made completely from ice formed, it generated extremely cold air causing mists of cold air to be released from the surface of the weapon. At the end of the Ice handle of the spear there was a curved blade that acted as the spearhead as it released cold air, Lison directly grabbed it and immediately took a Spear Stance. ¡°Young Master Leon¡ I¡¯m not confident in my feelings that I¡¯ll win against you today, but I want you to face me with your full strength. I want to face you at full power,¡± said Lison calmly. From Lison¡¯s serious tone, Leon gained a sense of respect for him, ¡°Okay, Lison I¡¯ll respect your request and face you with my full power.¡± Said Leon. Leon stood still, his calm demeanour caused the Natural Energy to violently shroud him in a white mist, which contained faint traces of black and gold threads of energy intertwining together. The mist blurred Leon¡¯s body, his rare brown eyes were the only thing visible in the white mist. ¡°External Technique, 1st Gate: Cage¡± Leon¡¯s voice was calm as it resounded across the Coliseum carrying an immense amount of power. It drifted around the entire Coliseum for everyone to hear. This was Leon at his full power, he was using every ounce of his power to display his strength. ¡°1st Gate?¡± Elder James murmured with a confused expression. The Mist surrounding Leon, suddenly expanded and then just as fast it contracted, until it shrank into a thin membrane of armour. The armour created energy fluctuations that seemed like a caged beast that desired freedom. Leon slowly stuck his hand out and Azeon appeared, this combination created a frightening pressure. Leon stood there staring at Lison. ¡°Lison, this is my full power. I¡¯ll end this fight in one attack, so be prepared.¡± Leon spoke in a serious tone. Leon held Azeon in a careless manner, however for Lison there was no opening which he could exploit from what he could see. Seeing this Lison grit his teeth, not daring to show a single sign of resignation, ¡°Young master Leon be prepared for my most powerful attack.¡± Lison held his spear and immediately ran across the ring towards Leon at a frightening speed, his movement was similar to the arctic winds, appearing and disappearing only leaving cold air in its presence. The ice spear was kept in front of him to thrust at Leon. Cold air swirled around the Ice spearhead, as energy swirled around the tip of the spearhead increasing the power of the stab. Traces of frost was forming on the platform very slowly wherever Lison passed. In a matter of seconds Lison arrived in front of Leon. ¡± Frost Spear Stab.¡± Roared Lison as he thrust at Leon¡¯s chest, at the same time creating multiple spear afterimages, because of Leon¡¯s carelessness he thought that his thrust would have maximum effect on him. As the spear closed down on Leon¡¯s chest, Leon¡¯s careless expression immediately became fierce: ¡°1st Gate: Caged Outburst!¡± Roared Leon as he swung Azeon down at the spear closing down on him. Even before Azeon struck at the Ice spear, the immense pressure caused by Azeon crushed The Ice spear which shattered in Lison¡¯s hand. Lison¡¯s face twisted with horror as he saw his spear shatter into fragments of ice energy. Lison immediately coughed blood. ¡°Boom!!¡± An earth shattering explosion occurred as a ray of white energy, that contained gold and black intertwined threads destroyed the surface of the ring as it ripped everything apart. The attack carried on even after destroying the Ice spear. ¡°Boom!¡± Suddenly the sword energy clashed against the Energy wall created by a Prime to protect the spectators. The Energy wall trembled, ripples of energy formed because of the destructive force of Leon¡¯s attack. The light emitted by the wall was reduced by a large amount, it¡¯s light had lost its previous magnificent lustre. The ring was utterly destroyed, the spectators were shell-shocked, this was power that they could only dream of obtaining, a large and long crack that stretched through the same path the sword energy went through. It began where Leon¡¯s sword clashed with the Ice spear. The power from the attack caused the previous intense atmosphere to change into one of awe and amazement, people couldn¡¯t help but suck in a breathe of cold air. Instantly an eruption of noise echoed through the stadium, shrouding all possible noise, this was even broadcasted to homes around the city. Elder James didn¡¯t have the energy to utter a single word as he slouched back into his seat, this power was indescribable, it was unbelievable that someone without a Vision caused this much damage at such a young age as well. Izak could not hold the joy he felt inside, ¡°Haha, that kid hid his power so well!¡± his voice couldn¡¯t hide his joy as he forgot himself. ¡°Leon, my son you might actually reach the finals of the tournament or even win this if you¡¯re hiding something even more incredible than this.¡± Izak just couldn¡¯t believe that this was the peak of Leon¡¯s power after being stunned again and again by this boy. What Izak just said piqued the interest of Elder James¡¯s and everyone else¡¯s in the booth. They slowly gazed at the two figures in the ring. Both Lison and Leon were standing still in the exact same stances, Leon drew Azeon back as he stabbed it into the ground as he staggered, this was to keep balance because this attack carried a huge burden. Leon¡¯s face was pale, he immediately coughed blood onto the fractured floor as he slowly shifted his gaze to stare at Lison. Lison¡¯s face was pale, devoid of blood. His forehead was covered by a layer of cold sweat, when his gaze caught Leon staring at him, he involuntarily gulped in fear and fell onto his knees. To Lison it felt like he was staring at the power of an Emperor, the attack just now destroyed his will to continue fighting, he also gained respect for Leon for going through with his request. ¡°I give up¡¡± He said with a hint of fear still lingering in his voice, even under the noise of the crowd the referee heard, whom immediately announced Leon¡¯s victory. ¡°Quarter-Finals winner is¡ Leon Kaiser.¡± Even though Lison had given up he wasn¡¯t ridiculed for being beaten by this boy, after seeing Leon¡¯s power they could not help but admire his strength. After Leon unleashed this attack, the crowd expected this result but they still couldn¡¯t help but erupt into a cheer for Leon. Leon gave a respectful glance at Lison and then turned around. He slowly but steadily walked off the stage with the help of Azeon. However with Azeon there it still produced a huge pressure that it emitted without a reason, so Leon had no choice but to put Azeon away. Leon jumped off the ring and headed towards Lumios who was sitting on a stone chair, who had his mouth agape. Leon staggered next to him and sat down, Lumios carried on staring at him still shell-shocked. ¡°Leon, I thought you¡¯re strongest attack was ¡®Tremor Impact¡¯ and now you have ¡®1st something¡¯ which is even stronger than that.¡± Muttered Lumios. Leon helplessly gave a hollow laugh, ¡°It¡¯s actually called ¡®1st Gate: Cage,¡¯ and yeah, that is my strongest attack, I do have something stronger but I still need to spend some time to comprehend that technique, but what I used now was a power which I devised while reading some books¡ Weird isn¡¯t it, finding something unexpected in a book, hehe.¡± When Lumios heard how Leon had devised this technique he couldn¡¯t help but feel at loss, only an outstanding genius could come with such techniques. The power that Leon showed was something that even caused his hair to stand with lingering fear and to hear he had something even stronger made him shiver slightly. I can¡¯t underestimate Leon if I face him in the finals, Lumios thought to himself. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. ¡°Please wait a moment as the ring is being repaired,¡± as he said this a man stood next to the referee, smacked his foot on the ring floor, layers of earth erupted and covered the broken bits of Leon¡¯s fight, this process took five minutes to complete. ¡°Thank you for your patience, We¡¯ll immediately start the second fight: Kline Rauber and Christopher Veruth please come to the ring.¡± Kline stood up and arrived on the ring with a few gliding steps to the ring. Kline was wearing a red robe with an arrogant expression plastered on his above average face and was openly ignoring his opponent Christopher, his arrogance caused Christopher who was opposite to him fume with anger. He had no prior meetings with Kline but already had a bad impression of him. The referee waved his hand, indicating that the fight starts now. Immediately Kline arrogantly stared at Leon, his expression told everything. Let me show you what you¡¯ll be facing, when we fight. Christopher couldn¡¯t take it anymore: ¡°Earth Vision Manifestation: Feisty Ape,¡± Christopher¡¯s body grew twice in size, his muscles bulged as hair started growing all over his body, his face changed into an apes. His body was emanating brute strength and savageness. Christopher instantly thrashed his way towards, Kline who still didn¡¯t take notice of him. ¡°You arrogant Bastard!!¡± He roared. ¡°Hmph¡¡± Sighed Kline in disdain, ¡±Earth Vision Manifestation: Prison Sword,¡± A double edged sword appeared that released a purple glow. Leon immediately recognised the sword, it was the weapon that Kline used to nearly kill him. ¡°Prison Arts: Dark Edge,¡± he vocalised, an eerie dark aura covered the sword as he sliced down at Christopher right away. ¡°Bang,¡± A huge blinding light was emitted when the sword came into contact with Christopher¡¯s transformed body. The blinding light slowly died down, the crowd was tense and then they were shocked at the scene in front of them. Christopher¡¯s was already back in his normal form, however his body lay crumpled in the middle of a crater and there was a large sword wound, where blood was profusely pouring out from. Right away the referee jumped into the ring and quickly checked Christopher¡¯s pulse and then he nodded: ¡°The winner of the second fight is¡ Kline Rauber.¡± Immediately afterwards a group of doctor¡¯s entered the ring and gave Christopher medical attention straight away. At that moment Kline turned towards the participants stand and found Leon, he smirked, his gaze said everything that had to be said: This is you next, be prepared or I¡¯ll cripple you to the point where not even your mom will recognise you. Leon simply ignored Kline¡¯s aggressive expression, which caused Kline to feel annoyed. Kline got off the ring and simply walked back towards Ed. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª During the next two fights both Ed and Lumios won the fight with a single punch, this deeply astonished the crowd, they had never expected that four of the five finalists were actually from Reon and not from an outside sect. The fifth and final fight of the day bought the most horrific, shocking event in the whole tournament. In the middle of the arena stood Harrison Darris holding his right arm that was soaked in blood and in front of him was Fauder lying crumpled in a pool of his own blood, his mangled body was horrifying to look at, his right arm wasn¡¯t attached to his body anymore, it was lying a hundred metres away . The crowd were baffled, sickened by this because they had seen what had happened. During the fight it was clearly seen that they had enmity towards each other, either because of the hatred between the Scorching Fire Tribe and the Darcius Corp or it was a personal grudge. However everyone saw how Vicious Harrison was when attacking Fauder and in the end Fauder lost his arm and was violently battered to the point of being considered a cripple. The referee walked and checked his pulse, after a moment he shook his head: ¡°Fauder Feuer is dead.¡± His voice echoed through the Coliseum, causing shocked expressions to appear everywhere in the Coliseum. The faces of the branch sect members of the Scorching Fire Tribe were twisted with a burning desire to kill, ¡°Harrison Darris, you are disqualified from participating in the finals and the Darcius Corp, will hereby be banned from the next 2 Path of Kings Trials.¡± This caused a wave of discussion to course through the crowd. In a matter of seconds a Horrifying aura appeared in the ring. The Branch Master of the Scorching Fire Tribe appeared his expressions dark, the second best disciple of their branch had just been killed and the first one was crippled and would need a long rest to return to his best state. Simultaneously a manager from the Darcius Corp appeared besides Harrison, then both groups forces came to their respective leaders. ¡°Move¡¡± A cold voice escaped the Branch master. This caused everyone in the ring except for the manager from the Darcius Corp to cough out a mouthful of blood and their faces to turn pale. ¡°Branch Master, we¡¯ll compensate for your loss, so please forgive this young one.¡± Said the Manager with a smile on his face. This caused, the Branch Master¡¯s face to turn cold, someone of his status could not take this disrespect after having one of his tribe member killed. ¡°You arrogant Bastard, I¡¯ll kill your entire group here and now.¡± His voice was filled fury, A fiery aura was released by the branch master. ¡°sigh¡¡± the Darcius Corps Manager frowned and he also released a chilling cold aura as frost permeated around him, clashing with the fiery aura, cracking noises could be heard around the Coliseum. ¡°Hmmph¡¡± A cold voice ripple through the ring, causing the temperature of the Coliseum to drop drastically. The fiery aura of the Branch Master and the cold aura of the Manager was crushed by this voice. The both of them fell onto their knees as their face went pale and immediately coughed blood onto the ring. The aura that the cold voice released was suffocating. ¡°You arrogant kids dare to fight in front of me, take care of your problems elsewhere or I¡¯ll kill you all here and now.¡± This cold voice made them shiver in fear as they turned their heads to find the fear-striking voice. There they saw Elder James, his eyes closed not even bothering to look at them, however they felt a pressure that they had never felt before crushing down on them. The heavy aura was lifted but fear still lingered, the crowd was quiet, even the weakest person feel the cold aura emanating from Elder James. Suddenly both the Darcius Corp and the branch of the Scorching Fire Tribe both left as quickly as they could, in fear of angering Elder James. Leon was filled with awe as he saw this. What power¡ I wonder what level Elder James is on, it¡¯s definitely higher than prime. Little did Leon know that a Prime was not even considered a joke for Elder James, a mere thought could kill a prime with his strength. ¡ª¡ª¡ª- After the great ruckus, the semi-finals had been decided: First Match: Leon Kaiser Vs Kline Rauber Second Match: Edward Rauber Vs Lumios Rakel
