《Megane Saga》 Prologue - Transferred to another world I, Shizuka Kurokawa, was walking back to my classroom. I just finished my club activities, and I¡¯m heading back to the classroom to retrieve my bag. As I got closer, I heard voices inside the room, which was odd since there shouldn¡¯t be anyone there at this time. I opened the door and saw Shun Takamiya, the hottest guy in school, talking with two girls. They naturally looked at the door, but once they saw me, the continued conversing like I wasn¡¯t there. It works for me, I don¡¯t want to associate myself with popular people because it will only lead to trouble. I entered the room and went to my seat. After taking my bag, I proceeded to the door, but an invisible wall blocked me. The floor glowed and soon, our bodies started to fade. The other three were obviously scared at what¡¯s happening and were panicking because of it. I was a bit surprised, but I didn¡¯t panick. I tried to look for a way to escape, but failed to do so. I have lived for seventeen years and never have I experienced this, but only in this lifespan. The reason I¡¯m not panicking is because I know what¡¯s happening, and I was a bit sad because I knew I¡¯ll get transferred to another world. ___ I was already summoned to another world as a hero in the past, but unlike the other heroes summoned with me, I was useless. Everyone got unique powers, while I only got a small boost in physical strength. Nonetheless, we moved as a group. After ten year, we successfully accomplished our mission but we were never given the chance to go back to our world. We had no choice but to live in that world, but since we were heroes, we were given the chance to live in luxury. The other three instantly took the offer, but I didn¡¯t want such a boring life. By myself, I ventured around the world and doing so made me raise levels. That¡¯s right, levels. It¡¯s like we were inside an rpg game. There were screens with various uses and we also gain levels by fighting and killing monsters. At some point on my journey, I reached the highest level I could attain and was shocked with what happened next. I actually have an ability, and it¡¯s the ability to reincarnate myself every time I reach the max level. The instruction says that if I reincarnate, I¡¯ll start from level one but I¡¯ll gain more stats each time I level up, not only that, I could even pick a gift or an ability. I decided to ignore it at first, but as my life got more and more boring, my mind changed. After clicking rebirth, a screen popped out with list of different gifts that I could choose from. The currency used is called RB and I only have one, so I knew it¡¯s based on the number of rebirths I¡¯ve made. Most of the good ones cost more than one RB, so I had to chose the best 1 RB gift that¡¯s fit for me, which is strength enhance(small). From there, I started living my life and reached the max level after thirty years. Just like before, I waited until there¡¯s nothing left that I could do in the world before I chose to reincarnate again. After that, I continued to live in different worlds, enjoying what it could offer and moving to another world after I got bored. Mind you, I wasn¡¯t a hero in the other worlds, only a strong reincarnated person. Slowly, I gained more and more power and on my one hundredth time, I gained large amounts of RBs. Since I wanted to fully enjoy the new gift, I decided to start my life from scratch instead of reincarnating as a ten year old, so I chose a gift that let¡¯s me reincarnate as a baby. On the hundreth time, my maximum multiplier was at 550%. Everything was set, everything was ready, but never did I expect to see myself in the first world I was ever born to, earth. Not only that, I was born on the same date when I was first summoned. My power was not needed on earth, in fact, it would only cause chaos if I use it. I hated it, but my mind slowly changed as I saw how my new parents loved me. I was always reincarnated as a ten year old, and I never had parents then, but this time was different. Chapter 1 - A talk with the king Opening my eyes, I found myself in a place that¡¯s obviously not the classroom. I looked around and saw people with a completely different fashion than those I know, except for the three who wore the same school uniform as me. A solid, dignified voice resounded on the room. ¡°Welcome, heroes from another world!¡± I looked to where the voice came from and saw an armored, middle aged man seated on an extravagant chair, with two armored men standing on each side. He wore a golden crown atop his silky, white hair and black armor, which made it hard to determine his build. Since he emitted an aura of a fighter and a strong one at that, I knew his armor was not for show. I glanced to the three and although confused, it doesn¡¯t seem like they¡¯re afraid of the situation. ¡°I am sure you are all confused from the sudden turn of events, and I, the king of Arthass, apologize for it.¡± He lowered his head. The people around were surprised by the words of the king, and those near him said. ¡°Your majesty, you do-¡° ¡°Silence! this is no time act all high and mighty, especially not in front of the heroes that will lead us to salvation.¡± He said while leering at the knight on his left. I simply stood my ground and stayed quiet while acting a bit nervous. I already know the gist of the situation, but they still don¡¯t know that and they don¡¯t need to know. I don¡¯t know how they¡¯ll take it, so it¡¯s better like this. ¡°Heroes, I know you¡¯re still confused, but worry not for my personal guard will explain everything.¡± The king glanced at the knight on his left and the knight made a small nod before he started talking. This world is called ¡®Helvana¡¯ and this particular country is called ¡®Arthass¡¯ ruled by king Philiem Vers Sylvion. The world is divided into four countries, and one is Arthass, the country of humans. South west from here is ¡®Zath¡¯ the country of beastmen, south is ¡®Nveros¡¯ the country of elves, and lastly, located in the west is ¡®Kiora¡¯ the country of demons. Of all the races, the humans are said to be the weakest in both physical strength and magical strength. When the other three heard the word ¡®magic¡¯ they reacted and seeing that, the knight also explained it. In this world, there¡¯s an ability that most of the people in this world could use, magic. It¡¯s a phenomenon where a person brings out his/her imagination into reality by using a a force called mana, which people are naturally born with. Of all the races, the humans have the least amount of mana. Thinking that the humans are easy prey, the demons started a war. The humans tried to solve it peacefully, but nothing they did prevented the war from happening so they were forced to fight back. But the difference between the two race were too much, leading to the continuous defeat of the humans. They slowly lost their land and seeing that made them rely on an old document about hero summoning. Despite not know if it¡¯ll really work, they sacrificed a dozen men, one of a royal blood, and the court magician, into summoning us. Going further, we, the summoned heroes, are each given a strong ability, a self identify spell and the knowledge of this world''s language. We are unconsciously using their language by the way. Finally understanding the situation, Shun said. ¡°I hate to break it to you, but none of us could fight. At least not yet.¡± The knight got enraged and took a step forward. ¡°You bra-¡° But the king stomped on the ground, making the knight stop, and said. ¡°Stop, what he says is true. Just a look and we can see they¡¯re not fit for battle.¡± The king moved his sight to us. ¡°Worry not, we will train you into heroes that can fight.¡± Shun smiled after hearing that and turned to the other two who still couldn¡¯t accept the facts. ¡°Listen, it might be too sudden, but this world needs us. This world needs heroes.¡± ¡°B-but Shun...¡± Said Hana. ¡°T-this is just too sudden....¡± Said Rika. ¡°It¡¯s ok, as long as we¡¯re together we can accomplish anything. And hey, we were given an ability and the king said we¡¯ll be trained, so there¡¯s no need to worry.¡± The two felt confidence behind Shun¡¯s words and decided to believe in him. He looked at me after that and said. ¡°It¡¯s Shizuka right?¡± I nodded in response. ¡°Then Shizuka-san, are you will to fight for this country?¡± Not really, instead, I might even destroy this whole country for separating me from my parents. For now I¡¯ll act as they want and just escape later. I¡¯ll find out myself if they really need my help. I nodded in response. Shun turned back to the king and said. ¡°Kin- your majesty, we will do our best. Please train us.¡± A smile appeared on the king¡¯s face as he said. ¡°If that¡¯s your decision, then can I ask one more thing before I dismiss you?¡± ¡°What is it your majesty?¡± Said Shun, without hearing our opinion. ¡°I want you to say ¡®Identify¡¯ inside your head.¡± Shortly after that, they got surprised while looking at an empty space in front of them. Can we go back after that?¡± Said Hana. ¡°Once a hero is summoned, he or she will stay in this world forever. I apologize, but I cannot do anything.¡± Shun wanted to say something, but kept it to himself. He held the other two to calm them down. ¡°Everything about you will be forgotten, like you didn¡¯t even exist in your world and I cannot change that.¡± The three couldn¡¯t utter a word from all the emotions going wild inside them, while I just acted a bit sad so I don¡¯t look odd. I somehow knew that our existence will be erased from our world, since I already tried gathering information about my past and didn¡¯t find a single thing. I tried talking to my past parents, but they said they never had a daughter... ¡°That¡¯s all for today, heroes, please get some rest and Shizuka, I¡¯ll have a talk with you so stay.¡± The king looked at his left. ¡°Guide them to their rooms.¡± After a nod, the knight walked to the three and guided them out of the room. ¡°Shizuka, since you are not a hero, I¡¯ll ask. Do you want to fight? Or do you want to have a normal life in this world?¡± This makes everything easy, I just need to act a bit hesitant. ¡°I...¡± I looked down and held my skirt tightly. ¡°I w-want to...¡± Seeing me like that made the king say. ¡°No need to be nervous, I will accept whatever decision you make for I am at fault. I have summoned a defenseless girl like you, so I have to take responsibility.¡± I fidgeted and stayed quiet for a few seconds, making them think I¡¯m really having a hard time making a decision. Chapter 2 - Depressed For more than a thousand years, I lived without relying on anyone. I was strong, there was no need for others to help me, but because of that I forgot how it feels to be loved. Those years of fighting to get stronger cannot compare to the seventeen years I spent with my parents. The times my mother combed my brown hair, the times she look at my orange eyes to see when I¡¯m lying, the times she scolded me for not taking care of my pinkish white skin, despite it being annoying at time, it made me happy. The times my father asks me if there are men trying to court me, the times he tells me not to talk with strangers, the times when he buys me stuff I didn¡¯t even ask him to buy, despite being too overprotective, I don¡¯t hate it. I wanted it to last longer, I wanted it to last forever, but this just had to happen. I know there would be a time I¡¯d leave them, but why did it have to happen so fast? W-what am I thinking? I¡¯m supposed to be making a plan. I need to move on. No matter how much I think about them, no matter how much I yearn for them, I can never see them again and even if I do, they¡¯ll never treat me the same way they did before. Still in uniform, inside the castle grounds, I entered the garden area the moment I saw it. I walked around feeling the gentle breeze of the night winds, hearing the sounds of moving leaves, smelling the aroma of the flowers arrange beautifully around the garden. As I walked around I saw a bench, and sat there. I took of the glasses, the ones my parents bought for me, put it in my lap and proceeded to wipe the tears forming in my eyes. Thinking about it, this is the gift they gave me on my seventieth birthday. It¡¯s one of the things I treasure the most, but I can¡¯t have it with me forever. In this world, no matter how I treasure it, no matter how I protect it, I¡¯ll leave it behind once I reincarnate again. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I lost the strength to hide my true feelings. I held my breath, I closed my eyes, yet nothing I did could stop me from crying. It¡¯s funny how I¡¯m crying like a normal girl when I¡¯m supposed to be an entity that could rival a god. I¡¯m supposed to be ok with anything, I¡¯m supposed to be calm at any situation, I¡¯m supped to be void of any emotions, yet the sadness in my heart forces me to cry like this. I was supposed to be with them until I chose to reincarnate, or at least until I got bored playing family with them, so why did this have to happen? Why do I have to be summoned to this world? And why can¡¯t I change anything despite having all these powers? I cried, cried continuously without any signs of stopping and as I did, someone entered the garden and saw me. He was the one who ate with us during dinner, the son of the king, the first prince of Arthass, Philip Vers Sylvion. He sat down on the same bench and as he did, I wiped the tears on my face. ¡°I¡¯m sorry.¡± Said the prince with a sincerely apologetic look. ¡°Why are you apologizing?¡± I said while still drying my face. ¡°It¡¯s our fault that you¡¯re crying right now. If we didn¡¯t summon you, if we didn¡¯t take you away from your world...¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, it¡¯s your fault, it¡¯s all your fault. Right now I should be enjoying my bed thinking about what I would do tomorrow but now look at me. I¡¯m here, crying because I can never see those that I love again.¡± The prince moved his lips, he extended his arms to me but retracted it and remained silent. ¡°I appreciate that you¡¯re trying to cheer me up, but please, just leave me alone. Just for a few more hours, I want to be alone.¡± The prince made a small nod before leaving the garden silently. I stayed in the garden and watched the sky, trying to calm myself and planning my next action. After arranging my thoughts, I went to the room given to me and slept. On the next day, I woke up feeling refreshed. There were no traces of me crying on my body, like swelled up eyes. It¡¯s because of two passives, disease immunity and satiety ignore. With both, my body will stay healthy no matter what I do. Even if I eat a gallon of poison, even if I eat a serving for a thousand men, even if I don¡¯t eat and drink for a decade, no matter what I do, I¡¯ll always stay healthy. It¡¯s a total must for traveling since with both, I don¡¯t have to worry about supplies and I can travel without resting. It seems to fail in the mental department though, since I still got stressed yesterday and had to sleep to completely ease my heart. Maybe after I get enough points I¡¯ll take a gift that lets me remain calm at all times. Shortly after waking up, I went out for a walk. I met a few maids and knights along the way and chatted with them a bit, letting me know that the other three were still asleep. While eating with the royal family, the king called my attention. ¡°Shizuka, as I promised yesterday.¡± He clapped his hand and a knight entered the dining hall with a small pouch. ¡°Inside the pouch are 20 gold coins which you could use to start your life here.¡± He made gestures to the knight, who then walked closer to me and gave the pouch. ¡°It¡¯s up to you how you use it, but if you budget it wisely it may cover a year¡¯s worth of living expenses.¡± ¡°Thank you, your majesty.¡± ___ DEMON LORD¡¯S CASTLE Seated on his throne, the strongest demon and the one who rules over the demon country, was demon lord Malza Vhyria. As he planned his next assault on the human country, the door to his throne room opened and a demon entered, who immediately knelt to the ground and lowered his head. ¡°My lord, the humans have successful summoned heroes, four of them.¡± Malza rested his head on his fist as he said. ¡°So those humans still haven¡¯t given up. Now that I¡¯m out of the castle, I need to proceed with my plans; Talking to the demon race and getting their side of the story. If they¡¯re attacking without any good reason, I¡¯ll kill them all and gain levels, if not, I¡¯ll go to other countries and let the two countries battle it out on their own, I don¡¯t have any responsibilities after all. Not knowing where to go, I searched for an innocent looking man to ask for directions. ¡°Um, sir can I get a bit of your time?¡± ¡°Y-yes, what is it?¡± ¡°Do you know the best place where I could gather information?¡± ¡°What kind of information are you looking for? When my turn finally came, I quickly asked the male receptionist behind the desk. ¡°What¡¯s the fastest way to the demon country?¡± The whole floor became silent when they heard me, and the receptionist asked. ¡°I didn¡¯t hear it right, what was it again ma¡¯am?¡± ¡°What¡¯s the fastest way to the demon country?¡± ¡°Young lady, why do you want to know that?¡± Said the man who was behind me. After that, I got a map with a line drawn that indicates the path I need to take, at the cost of 1 silver coin. There¡¯s no need to rush now that I know where to go, and since this might be the last time I¡¯ll see the city, might as well enjoy it. Oh, and I should buy clothes for combat, I can¡¯t go on dressed like this. ¡°Missy, I heard you wanted a shortcut to the demon country.¡± Said the obviously suspicious individual, who I ignored. I continued walking to find places where I could enjoy, but another suspicious person showed up. ¡°Young lady, do you wa-¡° ¡°No thank you.¡± I said as I ignored him. The day continued with me meeting suspicious people, it¡¯s obviously my money they are after. Although I don¡¯t need it, I don¡¯t have a reason to waste it on things that won¡¯t benefit me. I was able to buy a traveler¡¯s bag, two sets of adventurer¡¯s clothing, and a sword, all at the price of 10 silver coins. I also sold everything except for my glasses and the key chain on my bag, and got 5 gold coins from it. I¡¯m sure it could have gone higher, but this should be good enough. Once that was over, I searched for places that could please my tongue. I don¡¯t really need to eat, but just because I don¡¯t need to doesn¡¯t mean I don¡¯t want to. In contrast to the cheap items I bought, I went to an expensive store. ¡°What do you want to order?¡± Said the waitress who stood near me. ¡°Everything that you could offer.¡± I said. ¡°E...um, t-that should be 83 silver coins and 45 copper coins.¡± I took a gold coin from the bag and gave it to the waitress. ¡°Keep the change.¡± ¡°T-thanks ma¡¯am.¡± Said the waitress as she lowered her head. The best way to taste everything is to eat everything, that¡¯s the logic I¡¯ve been following for a long time now. Even if I eat it all, my weight won¡¯t increase because of my satiety ignore passive. While waiting for my food, waiters came to my table and they were showing more skin compared to the other waiters. Shortly after that, a man calling himself the manager showed up. The projectiles that were already released was still headed to me, so I spun the sword in front of me, creating a circular shield that erased everything that touched it. When I got to the deepest part, there was a large metallic gate and a few armored bandits guarding it. I raised the sword and swung it downwards, sending a transparent wave, cutting an armored knight in half. When the other bandits noticed it, I already sent transparent waves which cut them in half. I repeatedly swung the sword without hitting anything, making it heat up and get redder. After awhile, I put it behind me and took a deep breath. I swung the sword upwards releasing a red wave to the gate and swung it sidewards sending another red wave. I dashed to the last wave I released, pushed the sword forward, piercing the wave. I continued moving forward piercing the other wave. ¡°Cross Impact!¡± I jumped to the center of the gate and pierced it, dividing the gate into four equal parts. There¡¯s no need to hit the center, I just thought it would look better that way. The moment the gate fell, I was showered with arrows so I spun the sword in front of me to block it all. As I spun it, it got redder and redder and as I hit the ground, I released a red wave. Cutting and melting everything it touches. The number of bandits were greatly reduced after that, only leaving four, with one that looked more intimidating than the others. I quickly sent waves to each of them, cutting only three. A magic circle of that size could only mean a few things and all points to battle. I quickly took of my glasses and placed them inside the house. The people of the city went out of their house one after another, looking at the sky which was now shinning brightly, including Andas. I stared at the sky looking for the enemy, and in a split second, not one, not two, but an army came down from the sky. In just a few moments, the peaceful city became chaotic. Horned humans appeared one after another, killing every human in their sight. I quickly jumped from the roof to help Andas who was about to get killed by a horned human. ¡°Andas! While he was surprised, I took the initiative and dashed to him. I waved my sword to his neck, and as soon as he deflected it, I raised my sword and swung it downwards. He was able to block it, but my strength was higher so I pushed him away. As he flew in midair, I continuously sent waved and before he reached the ground I dashed again, while vibrating my sword. The moment I got closer, I waved my sword to him but it was intercepted by his sword. I closed my eyes at the moment of impact and said. ¡°Claiomh Solais, blinding light!¡± My sword emitted light, blinding the horned man for a few seconds letting me retract my sword and wave it to his neck, but even with his eyes closed, he blocked me. ¡°That¡¯s not gonna work on me.¡± He said as he pushed me away. The moment I hit the ground, he was in front of me with his sword moving to me neck. I blocked it with my sword and as we pushed each other, I tried to kick his chin. He retracted his sword and hit my leg with the hilt, before moving his sword to me again. With my superior strength, I was able to push him away but before I could run after him, he sent black flames to me. I blocked it by spinning my sword but as the final flame dispersed, he was in front of me again with his sword pointed at me. This guy isn¡¯t giving me a chance to think... ¡°Your stats doesn¡¯t match your strength, and your weapon, you¡¯re a reincarnator aren¡¯t you?¡± ¡°So what? My only concern is the Andas, the others could go to hell for all I care...No, I mean Andas¡¯ house, since my things are still there. GABRANTH¡¯S POV I¡¯m sure she has an identify gift and since she¡¯s still fighting despite seeing my stats, it¡¯s safe to assume that she¡¯s hiding something else that could let her win. She¡¯s too dangerous, she has a 20 RB weapon with her and I believe she has more gifts other than that. She¡¯s also hiding her stats so I can¡¯t access if I can defeat her. It doesn¡¯t look like she¡¯s set on making us her enemy, so this is a good time to take care of a big threat such as her. I might get her to our side but the others won¡¯t accept it, so I should at least make her join a neutral side so our race won¡¯t have to fight her.
