《Dragon Arts》 Prologue - Chapter 0 Deep in the vast forest, near the coldest mountain in the world. A faint cry could be heard. There on the cold ground, lies a child. The child who look no more than a year old, continuously crying out. Animals nearby came toward the sound wondering who was making the noise. The child continue to cry, but it seems that no one came near the child. Suddenly a figure emerge from the shadow. Slowly walking towards the child on the ground was a female. She appears to be no more in her mid-twenty. Elegantly walking her figure was slim, her silk robe sway gracefully was pure white under the dim sunlight. If men caught sight of her, they would say that no other beauty in the world could match her. As she walked towards the child, the child suddenly stop crying, but instead whimper as it notice a presence. The woman pick the child up, and she observed the child. The child was a boy, his appearance was no different from any other human child of a year old. Black hair, small pointy nose, and peachy skin. However what caught her eyes was this child eyes was strange. A faint icy blue, if one were to not look closely into this child eyes they think his eyes was like snow covering a blue mountain. Was this child blind or was he born this way, the woman thought to herself. She thought for a while, then shrug off the idea. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. The woman and child slowly walk away from their initial spot and disappear into the shadow of the forest, and seemingly heading to the cold mountain. There in the vast forest, only the rusting leaves, can be heard. All was still. -------------------------------------------------- Hey guys I am new to writing light novels. Pardon my grammar. I do have a friend checking to make sure it is written at a professional level. I appreciate your criticism and advice and future ideas. Chapter 1 - Lee the Weak Monk Chapter 1 ¨C Lee the Weak Monk ¡°Hey bastard!¡± A tall bald male with two other bald youth walked toward the skinny youth. This youth was none other than Lee. Lee who was wiping the floor with a rag, looked up at the incoming party. These three bald men was none other than his senior who was 5 years older than him. The leader who had called him out was Sang Lu, age twenty, dark tan skin, muscular, and with a shiny bald head. The other two bald people who were the same age as Sang was Mu Long and Xia Yi. On their shiny bald head was 6 dots, 3 dots parallel to eat other, horizontally going down, each dot was equally distance from each other, not one was slightly off. Of course, anyone who see a person with dots on their bald head would realize they are monks from a Shaolin Temple. One of the greatest martial art school in the world. In fact there are 10 distinct well known martial art school. Lee just so happen to be in the same temple as these 3 monks. Sang stopped right in front of Lee, his figure tower over him, and if one was to look closely not a trace of Lee shadow can be seen it¡¯s as if Sang¡¯s shadow devours Lee¡¯s. Before Lee can reply Sang right leg swept at astonishing speed at Lee¡¯s face. Lee who just stood there saw what Sang was doing. Suddenly the world turn gray, in front of Lee¡¯s eyes. The movement of Sang leg coming towards Lee was slow. Slow as snail, as it approach Lee face. Lee never understood how he was able to see this or be able to understand this power, but he never complain since it saved him a couple of times in the past. At this moment Lee chose to take the hit, he knew that if he dodge, Sang would not only be embarrass in front of his friend but he would have his friend help him beat Lee up in a miserable state. The kicked landed on Lee¡¯s face and sent him backwards. A black bruise appear on his face. He was very angry, not because he was bullied but because he was weak and is unable stand up for himself. ¡°Pathetic bastard, where are my clean robe. It was supposed to be in my room on my bed folded neatly when I walked in.¡± Sang glared at Lee. ¡°Do you know what I see when I came into my room? Empty fucking space.¡± Sang walked towards Lee again. Lee experience this repeatedly from the day he enter the temple. Lee was always weak, no matter how hard he trained he couldn¡¯t become strong. He thought by coming here and learning the way of the Shaolin, he could be able to defend himself at the very least. ¡°I will finish them today and have it done this afternoon.¡± Lee calmly said as he didn¡¯t dare to look up at Sang, afraid Sang who kick him in his face again. ¡°Hmph, you better. Tomorrow the royal family is coming. I want to look good in front of the ladies especially the princess. You better make damn well sure it is clean, otherwise don¡¯t blame me when I break those two sticks you call arms.¡± Sang and his friend laugh as they walked away leaving Lee on the ground who is rubbing the pain on his face. Lee stared blankly where the three had left, then quietly went back to cleaning the floor. Lee was born on the farmland, he was the fifth and last child to be born. He was born frail and weak. His entire family all work on the farm. She would take care him while working on the farm after the fifth day she gave birth to him. It was a harsh life. His family would barely make months ends. His older siblings worked on the farm with his father and mother. By age four, Lee began working farm. But because he was weak he couldn¡¯t do anything besides planting seeds. He couldn¡¯t use the rake without being tired every 2 minute. That didn¡¯t stop him from trying to do his best to help his family. Lee was different from his family and he knew it too. It was all due to an ability right on his fourth birthday. Once in a while he would see the world instantly turn gray, and everything in front of him move so slow that if felt like hours to him. Lee never told anyone this, he sense his family didn¡¯t like him to begin with, since he couldn¡¯t do much to help out his family. With harsh winter coming and the heavy tax demanded from the emperor. Lee father took him away and left him at the Shaolin temple. His parents abandon him at the temple, at age five. He has been at temple for about ten years now. It was the most painful experience he had. No one paid attention to him, everything he either end up broken or someone complain about what he did. All the chores and meaningless task was given to him, not because he was weak or anything, because it would build character or so the elder monks said. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Lee knew the longer he stayed here the worse it will get. Lee finally clean the entire floor. Standing up, he double check his surrounding in case he miss a spot. Satisfied with his result he put the wet towel and bucket away, then began walking out of the inner temple and towards courtyard. Just watch me, I Lee may be a weak monk. But someday¡ who am I kidding I can¡¯t do shit. Hopefully, someone would be a hero and rise to defend those like me. Lee walked into the courtyard and saw many of the monks were running around hastily either cleaning or moving valuables. Yesterday was hectic, today was utter chaos, and by tomorrow everything will calm down as everyone will have to be on their best behavior as the royal family will come to the temple to visit, and pray to their Deity. Lee never once truly pray to this so called Deity or God or whatever they worship. The so call mysterious being that Lee must pray twice a day never help him in time of need. Lee walked through the courtyard, avoiding the monks running left and right, as he about to walk out of the courtyard a voice call out to him. ¡°Lee, hold.¡± A calming yet loud voice rang out to him. Lee turn around to see who it was, and put his palm together and bowed. It was none other than the eldest monk that foresaw the entire temple. Li Yang. ¡°Greetings Elder Li. Is there something you need?¡± Lee couldn¡¯t help but wonder why Elder Li needed him. He already completed his chores, and was about to go wash Sang¡¯s disgusting robe. He can¡¯t help but feel frustrated at this point. But he didn¡¯t reveal it on his face. Forcing a disdain smile on his face while waiting for Elder Li reply. ¡°As a matter I do. The statue of inside the main hall needs to be clean for our important guest tomorrow. Make sure to put the wax on the entire statue and then wax it off completely when you are done. I expect for it to shine brilliantly.¡± Having told Lee what to do Li Yang walk away and began giving orders to other busy monks. Seeing Li Yang depart Lee anger rose inside him. I am not your fucking slave you damn bastard. Lee had no other choice but to head to the main hall. There in the main hall was a statue at the center of the back wall. It was no more than 15 meters tall. It was made of pure blue obsidian. One glance at it will fill you with awe. The statue was a deity known as Bascura the Merciful. The details on the statue was done by a mysterious sculptor. Every detail on the statue made it seem it was alive and every time Lee goes and pray to it, he felt that its aura spread out to him trying to shallow him in. Looking at the face, one could say it looks like this deity was calm but its eyes had an expression of judgment. Lee stared at the statue wondering if he will ever be able to finish waxing this. He finally remember that Sang also gave him a job. Lee couldn¡¯t help but be frustrated he had little time. He began to ponder and finally began to realize something. Lee had an evil smile on his face. A youth came out of the main hall with a brush and a bucket, checking his surrounding, he quickly close the door to the main hall, locked it, and hastily made his way to the forest behind the Shaolin Temple. This youth was none other than Lee. No one was paying attention to what Lee was doing, because they all had their job. If they slack off just a tiny bit they knew that punishment will be unforgiving, and the disciples knew the elders will not forgive for embarrassing the royal family that will be arriving tomorrow. Lee making way to the forest, knowing that he can finally relax until tomorrow, he did not stop for anyone. There was only one person in the Shaolin temple he had respected for the past ten years he had been here, this person was a prominent figure. He was a warrior before becoming a monk. A person who fought over countless war, fought his way and became one of the few strongest people in the world. A rumor has it he fought along with other famous heroes and sealed the Demon Lord during the Great War. It¡¯s time to meet master. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks everyone for reading my story. Chapter 2 -Lee and the Blind Monk Lee rush deep into the forest. Arriving at the center, there was a huge tree right in the middle where the radiant light shone brightly. Under the huge tree, was an old monk sitting with his legs crisscross. His palm facing upwards rest on his knees, the tips of this thumb and finger touch each other, and the 3 other fingers points outwards. Looking calm, this old monk was in deep mediation. Lee can¡¯t help but show respected toward this old monk, he had called master. Lee walked forward toward his master. Then he suddenly stopped 3 meters in front of his master and notice something strange. Looking closely, he notice the leaves around his master form sunburst shape. Not a single leaf had touch his master. As it slowly drifts down from the tree. The leaf avoid him and land softly on the ground, as if there was an invisible barrier prevent anything from hitting him, beside the sunlight piercing array hitting him. Lee clasp his palm together slight bowed. ¡°Master, I have arrived.¡± Suddenly his eyes began to twitch and his ability activated. The world instantly turn gray. Lee looked up and saw an acorn spinning straight at his face. It was fast that by the time you blink the acorn would have hit you. However to Lee, the acorn was moving slow. Master is testing me to see if I can dodge it. But what if I catch it. If I catch it will master finally be able teach me martial arts. ` Lee master, Wu Liang, always treated him kindly all these years ever since Lee entered the temple. He treated Lee wounds, made sure Lee had enough to eat, and hope that Lee would fit in with the others. He trained Lee and become his mentor. But his method of training wasn¡¯t like any other teacher. His method of training was breathing, stretching, and ¡®flow of movement¡¯ exercise. Lee reached out to catch the incoming acorn. He smirked thinking this was easy. Once the acorn was near his palm, he caught it. The world filled with color immediately. He smiled. Then suddenly realize something was wrong. He did not feel the acorn in his hand, the acorn that was in his arms grasp, struck at his chest. Peng. The acorn hit at Lee chest. The soft sound of the collision vibrated through Lee body. Lee thought the impact did not do much damage to him, but he ponder why it created a soft muffle noise. His face began to twist with disdain. Lee immediately fell to the ground and began to cough violently. The acorn which had hit Lee, had a small qi force, when collided against his body, the chi surge forward, penetrate his outer layer defense and began to attack his internal flow of energy, qigong. How can something so small create such a powerful impact? ¡°You still haven¡¯t learn have you Lee.¡± Wu sighed then suddenly began to open his eyelids. If a person was to saw this they would have scream, vomit, and perhaps fainted from this sight. Wu had no eyes. He was a blind monk. A powerful person who famed and reputation that stretch across that vast land was now a monk who cannot even see a single light of day. Lee quickly sat up resisting the pain and kneel on ground with his head bowing to his master. ¡°I apologize master, I thought I could catch it using my eyes.¡± ¡°Lee your ability to slow down the world in your eyes is indeed formidable but you na?ve thinking will kill you in the end.¡± Lee had told his master of his strange ability long ago and had name it Chronostasis Eyes. Wu knew he made the right choice long ago when he chose to mentor Lee and no one else. ¡°Lee what do you see me holding in my hand?¡± Wu stretch his hand open. Lee look very closely but all he see what nothing. Nothing was in his master hand, yet his master say he was holding something. Was this a trick question? ¡°Master I see nothing. Are you saying there is something there?¡± Lee look at his master waiting for a reply. His master stood up, walk towards Lee and place his hand on Lee chest. A warm energy flows within him. It was calm, soothing, and peaceful as it enter his chest. The wound earlier that his master gave him immediately disappear. ¡°Lee in this world there are many mystery that I have not discover. In this world, strength is everything, however strength is nothing without knowledge. Knowledge is power and power is the key to become strong. But many think that obtain power is the same as obtaining strength.¡± His master gave him a sad face. ¡°If I could go back, I would choose the path of knowledge. It is there that its might is greater than those who obtain power. Even if you are weak, you can still kill those who have the strength of heaven and earth.¡± Suddenly Lee¡¯s Chronostasis eye activated, he didn¡¯t know how it was activated or why he couldn¡¯t force it under his control. Then a voice spoke into Lee head. This voice was gentle but stern. It was none other than his master voice. Lee we will begin training. In this world no matter how weak you are, as long as you don¡¯t surrender to those who are stronger than you, you will always be strong. The strong bully the weak not because they are weak because they show fear. Never show fear to an enemy. There are seven path of cultivation. Everyone starts at the primitive stage. Each of this stages have 10 levels. The higher you go the harder it gets. The stages are Primitive -> Sophistication ->Artlessness -> Philosophical -> Meaning of Life -> Earth -> Heaven. What the fuck!? Isn¡¯t the seven path of cultivation, Qi Cultivator-> Elements Cultivator -> Spirit Cultivator -> Nature Cultivator -> Essence Cultivator -> Divine Cultivator -> Deity Cultivator? This is my path of cultivation I created for you Lee. Do not follow the others, if you do you will continue to be weak. Follow you own path and only then will you can become strong. Wu paused for a bit. Then continue to talk to telepathically communicate with Lee. ` This 3 method training will grow with you, it will become stronger as you become stronger. Every day you will practice till you complete it perfectly. First method is qigong, it¡¯s a breathing technique. Not only that it helps to improve your health and body, it integrates the physical posture that you will need to use for my third method. It will only focus your perception, with your eyes it will be the strongest triumph card against your opponents. It contains the essence of life-energy of the world. Second method is stretching, this is no regular stretching exercise that I will have you do. It will be the most challenging and painful experience. By learn not only will you be flexible, you will be able to control every inch of your body to your will, you will be agile, strong, firm, and calm whenever you fight. Third method and important method that ties all this together is the flow of movement. I have discover this after I lost my eyes. I called it Tai Qi. An internal power that comes from within. This incorporates the movements of nature. By perfecting this you will become one with the world. This technique is not use to fight, rather is use to defend incoming attacks. By using the nature and force around your opponent you can send it back to them without expending your energy. Lee what is the human greatest strength, which allow them to continuously survive from the beginning of life? ¡°Master, is it the knowledge that they obtain from each defeat?¡± Close but not quite. It is the 5 sense within human. Sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Knowledge is a part of it but without these sense can they survive? No they would not, because knowledge requires observation, it require these 5 sense to help us know when to charge in and when to retreat. However people have abuse these 5 sense and forgotten its true power. I was fortunate to discover this after almost losing everything I had gain. Lee this will be the greatest knowledge that I will pass on to you. You must learn continue to strive hard and practice. ¡°Yes master I will.¡± Lee slightly bowed showing his respect. What are the eyes use for? Is it to see? No its not. Your eyes can deceive you whenever it wants. It is use for perceiving, learning, analyzing, and anticipating. Anyone with eyes can see. But those who hone their sight, can see past illusion, feint attacks, able to predict their opponent¡¯s next attack, and many more. Eyes can be our strength and it can also be our downfall. For me I am blind, even if I can¡¯t see I can still beat the shit out of you. Oh master. Hearing is use for discerning the change in the atmosphere. By honing this skill you can hear even the tiniest thing, not even an expert assassin can be able to surprise you. You are probably wondering why I didn¡¯t mention listening. That is because hearing and listening are two different aspect. If you listen carefully, can you hear what is going around you? The answer is no, because you are focus in listening to one thing, you will consciously ignore everything around you. By mastering hearing, even if you listen to someone you can know everything that is going around you. Smelling is not much of a use, however you can never be too careful when people use different drugs or poison. Even if they are have no trace of smell to them, with your sensitive nose you can distinguish the change in the air. By incorporating this with your breathing technique you can guarantee that your survival rate will be much higher. However don¡¯t be too confident, even if you train to the highest level you can still fall under its influence. Always be cautious and prepare the worse. Taste is what we all have. Everything you eat, you must savor. You must learn what is in each food, how it was made, and what differentiate from the rest. Therefore after leave this temple. You must EAT ALL THE DELICACY IN THE WORLD. That¡¯s right meat. Those succulent pigs, roast beef, delicious ducks. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. ¡°¡.¡± Lee stared at his master. Though Wu had gave up his grand life to become a monk. Lee can see his master still linger the world outside of the temple. Touch. This is the most important thing you will need to learn. Listen carefully Lee. You better fucking listen well, because you might regret this. Looks like master regard this as the highest human sense, I must commit this to memory. Touch is the highest feeling you can achieve when holding onto an object whether is rough like a rock or soft like silk. The greatest and most powerful sensation you will ever get is ¡. His master gave a dramatic pause. Lee stood their shaking with excitement waiting for what his master will reveal to him. BREAST. ASS. Those soft yet firm desirable treasure. Every man¡¯s dream to acquire. Lee although you are a virgin, you must one day be able to claim those two treasure as yours. However, Lee I must warn you when choosing a girl, not only must you love her. You will have to cherish her and protect her with all your might. You just can¡¯t fall in love with just anyone. You must choose the right one to be with you through your eternal life. Don¡¯t go my route. In my lifetime I had 7 wives. Each one feel me with despair and misfortune. I am glad they are all dead now. Sheesh they nag every day, and they spend money like it was water. Lee facepalm himself. His master was a major playboy. Lee couldn¡¯t help but laugh inside wondering why his master chose to be a monk, instead of living lavishly. But Lee didn¡¯t ask nor did he feel like asking. Today, from sun down to sun up. You will master and memorize 500 breathing techniques, 500 stretching techniques, and 3000 Tai Qi techniques. You must memorize it as I will only show you once. You may be weak Lee, but with perseverance and hard work you will someday be strong. Probably not now, nor in the future. Probably in another lifetime. With your Chronostasis eyes to slow down time, you will use them to enhance your training, as I demonstrate them in super speed. These move teaching you 4000 techniques will take forever, and I am too lazy to train you. So I will only do this once. Concentrate and memorize. Wu began to show his techniques at the speed that far surpass any human. He was like a demon. It someone were to walk by and saw this, they will only see a faint blur moving rapidly in the center of the forest. In Lee eyes, he saw everything. The precise movements of Wu steps, fingers, hands, arms, legs, and body. It was as if Wu is just dancing in front of him. Lee immediately put his mind into extreme focus. Memorize as hard as he can. He didn¡¯t want to lose this opportunity as it is a once in a lifetime chance. In the mere 2 hours, Wu had completed 4000 techniques and was exhaust. He dropped to the ground breathing heavily and look at Lee. He saw Lee eyes close and was in a deep state of focus. Wu finally catching his breath, got up, and began to silently carve the huge tree in front of him. He then quietly walked away not disturbing Lee. Walking straight to the temple, wanting to eat a large meal before heading to bed. Lee incorporated all the 4000 techniques into his mind, soul and heart. It took him no more than 4 hours to memorize them. Lee nodded to himself, knowing this knowledge was engraved and he will never forget. Lee looked up, it was already night, the moon was shining brightly and he did not see his master. In front of him, under the pale moonlight were messages carved into the tree that his master left behind. ¡®After you fully memorize, you will begin practicing all of them. Do not leave until you complete at least half the techniques I shown you. You will not stop for water nor will you stop to take a shit. You will stay there until you finish half of them. If you dare lied to me that you completed half when you get back. I will make sure you won¡¯t be able to sit down for a month.¡¯ ¡°I will not let you down master.¡± Lee clasp his palm together and bowed. The first 100 of this breathing techniques is the flow of inner energy within the body. By incorporating this the energy in my body will flow faster and more smoothly. But how will I know when I will achieve this? I better begin practicing. Lee stand up straight, then began to put his foot at length shoulder. His body was in a relax state. The technique Lee is doing was Calming the Flow of Energy. Breathing in, his arms began to form a big circle. Both arms push out from below, then push up slowly, heading toward the center of his body. His arm relax once more, and his palm push down, then breathing out, his knee bent a little as palm came down. He repeated this method a couple of times before heading to the next technique, Pushing the Heavens and Earth. With the one palm facing upwards and one facing downward at the center of his stomach. He began pushing them in the same direction they are facing, not forgetting to breathe in as they stretch as far as the heaven and as low as the earth. Breathing out, as the palm came down and interchange their position going the opposite direction with the palm switching from up to down and down to up. After Lee had done 200 breathing techniques in the span of 4 hours, he move onto stretching. This was no ordinary stretching, every time his body stretch it had to be at a certain angle, speed, movement, releasing the correct amount of power, controlling the muscles, and doing it fluidly. Just like his master showed. Lee practiced and couldn¡¯t get to where his master was doing it with ease. However Lee accomplish 200 stretching and it was midnight. The moon was at the highest point and shining brightly. Lee looked up to see the beautiful moon, but it was just a quick glance. Tai Qi, the flow of movement. Each step and move was precise and graceful. The first technique Lee did was Flow with Wind which then follow by its counterpart Repel the Wind. Though there was little wind during the night breeze, Lee remain focus and began practicing. Lee move along the air, while his hands pushes with the wind. Lee then move his hand towards his chest slowly pulling it back, repelling the wind against the direction of the wind. Next technique was Flow with Water and Turning the Tide. His arms like jelly but yet firm, pushing back and forth while standing still and only moving his arm. Lee notice finally notice something within his arms, his movement began to decrease. There was a hint of feeling surging in his arms. Slower. Slower. I can feel a faint qi in my arms. I must do this more slowly. Back and forth his hands move slow and calm as water itself. Satisfy with the condition, the faint qi lingers then slowly fade. Then he began to transition onto Turning the Tide technique. Like holding and revolving the ball in one hands. Lee was doing the same but each time Lee turns his hand while rotating his arms, he force a small qi out of his hands. Condensing this qi, he turn his hands with his arms straight in front of him, his arms moves like the tide itself, and his palm pushes forward and retract. The qi from his palm releases its force it was push out, then it gathers as the arms move back. Lee began to understand why his master chose to cultivate him differently from the other monks. Every person can cultivate by absorbing the qi surrounding them by meditating, or by eating cultivation pill that can condense one¡¯s qi and possible push them onto the next stage. His master however told Lee to disregard this method, since it was too ordinary and unoriginal. By enhancing one¡¯s body through breathing and exercising, and using nature to gather the energy and understand its principle will allow a person to reach the next stage more efficiently. Lee thought it was the same concept. But his master denied it and say if it was the same, then his training would be meaningless and Lee could go find another master. By training will increase the stamina and endurance of the physical body. By using 4000 technique the inner qi will become stronger than those who cultivate the normal way. By enduring this will one mental strength can surpass a normal person and will be able to overcome immense stress in a life and death battle. Lee practiced for many hours and time went by quickly. By the time he was done it was morning. He had completed 2000 techniques. His legs were trembling and his stomach growled. He can no longer hold on, he felled to the ground breathing heavily. His body had little energy left, he currently weak that he couldn¡¯t get up to walk or crawl. Lee felt dizzy but he muster what¡¯s left of his strength than began to roll his body towards the temple. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry guys, about the delay. Thanks everyone enjoy reading ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A large parade of people in formation can be seen walking towards the temple. In the front there were people dress in white silk robes, holding black banners displaying a gold sigil imprinted on the banners. Anyone who saw this would instantly know and make way for the incoming group. There were maidens in the center of the front group, walking gracefully carrying baskets of flowers and throwing them lightly into the air. In the center were also a few large carriages being pulled by majestic horse, surrounding the carriage were heavy armor guards. All the guards were muscular men, 6 feet tall. Their expression showed that they were constantly watching every movement making sure that the carriage near them was protected. In the back of the formation were servants and maids carrying treasures and baskets of food. The people who were heading towards the temple were none other than the royal family. Arriving to pray at the temple and receive their blessing from the almighty deity. It was a joyous day. A day like no other. Inside the carriage the emperor was filled with happiness. He had a flashback where his father had taken him every three years to pray at the Shaolin Temple. He too wanted his children to experience this and continue on the tradition that his father passed on to him and his father¡¯s father pass on to him and so on back for couple of generations. His wife next to him was holding a baby in her arms, and quietly humming a song for the baby to listen. There were also three other children in this carriage. The eldest prince, the eldest princess, and the second prince. The baby that empress is holding is the youngest prince and is currently a year old. Normally they are behaved whenever they go out. However they were energetic, since this was their first time traveling outside the city. It was nearly noon when the royal family arrive. They stop on the outskirt of the temple. There was a large arc raise above in front of them. It read: Shaolin Sect. The arc was made of white marble and one could see that it was kept at an utmost condition, not a trace of dirt was on it. A hand raised up, this was none other than the royal ambassador Ni Feng. The entire crowd of people fell silence. He stepped forward towards the arc. Gave a quick glance to his surround. Breathe in heavily and bellowed towards the temple. ¡°The Emperor and his Royal family is present!¡± Ni voice rang out and a faint echo was carried towards the temple. After a few seconds, a bell could be heard in the distant and within minutes the temple monks and elder rushed towards the entrance. A line of monk in columns of 3 on each side of the stairs, leading to the temple, bowed towards the center of the stairs. On top of the stairs stood 12 elder monks they looked at the royal ambassador and gave a respected bow. ¡°We welcome your Majesty and his royal family to the temple.¡± The elder all said in unison. Then every monk including the elders kneel with their heads bowing down. Ni turn around and walk towards the carriage. He knocked on the door, which the emperor reside. ¡°Your Grace.¡± Ni bowed. No more than 3 breathe lengths, the carriage down open. The emperor slowly came out. His majestic appearance and aura filled the entire air. Every person close to him could feel this pressure, and know that this was indeed the Emperor whom they serve with their lives. Each step he took as he walk out filled with elegance. No one dared to stand in his presence, beside his children and wife. Ni Feng was an exception he only bowed. He had been with the emperor ever since they were small, they were childhood friends. The emperor walked forward and gave a smiled. ¡°Everyone rise, today is a joyous occasion, let¡¯s not waste this beautiful day!¡± His voice boomed, and everyone slowly rose. With the day shining, and music and laughter can be heard, everyone present thought nothing can ruin this important day. However one person wasn¡¯t there at the time. A youth was rolling out of the forest at the fastest speed he could roll, which is the speed of someone who was trying to rush to the restroom wanting to take an enormous crap. This youth finally arrived at the temple, then mustering the strength he had left he rushed into the courtyard. He headed towards the kitchen, and hoped there was food. This person was none other than Lee. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Lee made his way into the kitchen. As he enter the smell of food enter his nose, this made Lee drool. Steam buns, vegetable, fruits, rice, eggs rolls and more. Of course there were no meat. But Lee didn¡¯t mind and he began picking the food up one by one and stuffing it in his mouth. If anyone saw this they would see a child who hadn¡¯t eaten in years and would be in shock on how fast Lee was shoving it down in his mouth and into his stomach. An hour later Lee walked out of the kitchen. He smiled, while rubbing his stomach. Satisfied he began walking towards the loud noise, he was constantly hearing while eating in the kitchen. It grew louder as it slowly approach the main hall. The royal family walked gracefully towards the temple, not one lack any grace or had any fault while walking. However what captivate most people''s eyes, especially Sang and his friends was the princess beauty. She was young, had an innocent beautiful face, milky skin, though her asset weren¡¯t developed yet, one would say after given a few years she would probably surpass her mother in terms of beauty and having a big ample chest and nice round bottom. Sang stared at the princess, with his vulgar face and his perverted look in his eyes. He quietly panted as he watched the princess passing by. The princess began to have a cold chill run down her spine. She was shocked when she felt a presence hungry beast hidden in the crowd waiting to jump out and devour her. Maintaining her composure she quickly followed her family towards the large door of the main hall. As the family stop in front of the door, the head elder monk step forward. It was none other than Li Yang. ¡°Greeting you majesty. I am honored that you would come to this lowly sect, and pray at our temple. I hope we would meet your expectation and provide you our utmost service.¡± Li spoke in a respectful tone and with modesty. The Emperor smiled and waved his hand. The monks who stood near the door, walked to the center and push against the door. The main door slowly open. It was dark inside. Li gave a slight frown, but quickly took everyone inside, and had the disciples open the windows and lit the candles. The room began to slowly fill with light. After enough light had entered the main hall. Everyone gasped as they look toward the statue in the center of the room. Bascura the Merciful who shine radiantly is now covered in paint. Green paint that look like vomit was smear from mouth to neck. Red paint of blood drip from the eyes, nose and ears. Pink and purple paint drops was splash around the arms. Lastly In the middle of the chest were huge words written in white. I Demand You To Give Me Face. Time seems frozen only until Li anger raised to a boiling point. ¡°LEE, YOU MAGGOT OF A BRAT!¡± Li voiced boom and dispel the frozen tension. Everyone snap back into reality. The royal children were giggling quietly so no one would hear. The adults were gossiping about the situation and all the monks at the temple had an embarrassed look and couldn¡¯t help but curse at Lee. Outside Lee was walking towards the main hall, however he suddenly stop when he heard Li voice. ¡°Fuck, they found out already. Got to hide.¡± Lee quickly ran towards the temple stock house, and quietly hid behind piles of rice. Back at the main hall, Li showed the royal family out of the building and began giving them a tour of the temple. While the disciple quickly try to clean the paint off the statue that was left by Lee. Li also order disciple Sang and his friends to hunt Lee down. In the distance, up in a sky, several red lights could be seen coming towards the temple. No one had notice this fast incoming object coming towards them. Within the span of ten breathes, the object had laid siege onto the temple. Large craters form in couple courtyards, many building became damaged, and flames were spreading quickly. The fire spread across the concrete wasn¡¯t just any ordinary fire. It was vile green with a hint of red, it was Fel Fire. The deadly fire spread in mere seconds throughout the temple. At the entrance of the temple a large horde of demon arrived. No more than hundred thousand demons looking at the temple. Their eyes glisten with murdering intent. In the front line stood a very tall person. His skin was dark purple, eyes red like fire, and teeth black as the night sky. He was muscular and 7 feet tall. His fist were smooth like jade, but harder than Heaven¡¯s Steel which is said to be unbreakable. He is the Demon Lord Zhao NiFeng. King of the Demon, fear by all, and said to be sealed few decades ago. ¡°Go find Wu Liang, bring him back to me alive, and kill the rest.¡± He pointed towards the temple. As his will commanded, the horde of demon rush to find their prey. Everyone was running around in chaos, all the elder and some monks were fighting the hordes of demon that were coming, others were using every method to stop the spread of Fel Fire and extinguish it. The other monks were giving the task to escort the guest to safety, and rescue those who were still alive from the meteor. However disorder came as wave of demons that seem endless pour into the Shaolin Sect, everyone began to run for their lives, others were trying to hide, and majority of the monks defending the temple were injure or dead. Lee who was hiding behind the pile of rice felt the tremor in the ground, the shockwave hit the stock house and shook it. Lee began to panic wondering what was going outside for the monks to use such desperate measure just to search for him. ¡°They must really hate me this much, heh, even if they find me they won¡¯t be able to do much. At worse they would expel me. I would finally leave this crappy ass place.¡± Lee smirked as he thought to himself. Suddenly the door of the stock house swiftly open and two shadows enter the stock house. The door close. A sound can be heard of a wooden block sliding into place and locking the door frame. Lee peeked, his face turned pale he couldn¡¯t believe who he saw.

The princess was in despair to notice the evil intent that Sang is displaying. Sang slowly walk over to the princess, and held her in his arms. ¡°Princess don¡¯t worry, as soon as those demons pass by we will go find your family and get you to safety.¡± Sang was trying to comfort her while showing his serious face, but inside him a beast was beginning to awake. The princess looked at Sang with a pure innocent face filled with childish hope. Sang finally got the princess within his grasp. ¡°Princess as long as you listen to whatever I said. SOMEBODY HELP!¡± ¡°Nobody is going to help you princess, with all the chaos going around, I doubt some will here you in here!¡± Sang began to press his body on the princess, and began tearing her clothes off. Lee eyes was filled with disgust. He knew he couldn¡¯t anything. Even if he did, he was too weak to contend against Sang. Lee slump to the ground and sigh, he continue to hear the princess screaming and resisting against Sang. This Sang is worse than a pig. Lee sighed heavily. Then he notice something in the corner of the wall. He quietly crawled towards the corner, and pick up the item. It was sickle. It was rusted from the continuous use of hacking weeds and slicing the sack of rice. Lee arm began to tremble. The only way to stop Sang was to kill him. Lee tried to calm down but his body kept trembling. However at the moment the princess yelled stop at Sang. Lee became resolute. He finally made his move. I am not a killer or a murder. I am not taking life of the innocent. I am killing evil and removing them from this world. Lee climb up the pile of sack of rice. Reading himself to launch onto Sang. Down below the princess clothes was in tattered. You can see her undergarments and delicate pale skin. Anyone seeing this will lose their mind and wouldn¡¯t mind defiling the princess in that situation. However, Lee mind was set on killing Sang. ¡°Thanks for the dinner.¡± Sang was greedily drooling. At that moment he heard a familiar person yelling at him. He looked up and his face turned pale. ¡°EVIL BEGONE!¡± Lee jumped and yelled at Sang. Swinging with all his might. The sickle slash at Sang face. Sang let out a horrifying scream, and fall backwards. However Lee didn¡¯t stop. He continue to swing the sickle at Sang. Many cuts can be seen on Sang, blood oozing out everywhere. After ten breath, Sang stop screaming and his body twitch on the ground filled with puddle of his own blood. Lee finally killed Sang, the person that he despise ever since he came here. He dropped the sickle onto the ground, and finally realize that he was panting really hard and he was trembling all over. He turned to the princess, slowly walked to her and reach out his hand to comfort her. But she knock his hand away and back off away from him. Fearing he will do the same to her like Sang did. Lee only sighed and stood up. Blood was splatter over his blood, face pale, and fist clenching tightly. The princess once again fail in despair. Knowing this guy in front of her is more ruthless. However, what Lee said to her calm her nerves down. But she still put her guards up just in case Lee were to trick her just like Sang. ¡°Princess, I know you probably don¡¯t trust me because of what he did. However, if you don¡¯t believe in me, then we will surely die in here. This place is not safe, the temple is not safe, and staying here until they leave will probably never happen. We must leave at once, and hopefully find your family along the way.¡± Lee gave a serious face, however inside he was scared ever since Sang mention demons that was outside he knew he would not be able to survive. The princess hesitated for a bit, then got up and with a proud face nodded toward Lee. Lee smiled, then began to unlock the hatch of the door. ¡°Once I open the door, we will run as fast as we can.¡± Lee grab her delicate hand, holding it tightly. He pushed the door and they flew out. Rushing through the courtyard. Lee kept running, he didn¡¯t stop to look at all the blood and bodies on the ground. Nor did he listen to the constant scream from both side dying. Passing through several courtyards, Lee finally saw a group of people running away from 4 demon imps that were chasing them. It was the royal family. The empress was running frantically with her baby child in her arms. The oldest son behind her was carrying his younger sibling and following his mother quickly behind. The youngest had a pale face and had bruises on his face and arm. The eldest had blood all over his majestic robes. Their father, the emperor, was nowhere to be seen. They were running, until the eldest tripped over one of the dead bodies. The eldest turn around to see the demon imp coming closer and closer. Fear spread across his entire body. He shut his eyes knowing that this is the end. However few seconds pass by and nothing happen to him. He open his eyes and in front of him was an elder monk. The monk fist was flying faster than the eye can see. Every fist that landed on the imp deal a massive impact, which turn every single imp into dust, not even one trace of blood was left. This elder monk was none other than Lee master, Wu Liang. Wu dispose of all the imps that were chasing the royal family. However, waves after waves of imp kept on coming, and Wu face grew solemn. He scan the environment around him, and felt his aura on Lee. Without a second thought he began to attract the army of imps to his attention. ¡°Lee take the royal family into the forest and get them to safety now!¡± Wu yelled at Lee and without delay began his fight against the imps that were clawing at him. Lee quickly drag the princess to her family. Then began to quickly gather them together and escorting them to the forest. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Along the way Lee would stop at every corner, and take a quick look at the area before advancing. He knew if they were to encounter a group of demons they would not be able to fight back. Though it cause some delay while heading to the forest. It was much safer this way. After few minutes of go through several areas, they finally arrive at the edge of the forest. Everyone including Lee let out a sigh of relief. The royal family began walking to the forest, however as they were half-way entering the forest, the princess turn around to see that Lee hasn¡¯t move an inch from the spot. ¡°Hey are you coming?¡± She yelled to Lee while he stood there pondering his next course of action. After few seconds Lee finally made his decision. ¡°No, I won¡¯t be going. Up ahead you will reach a tall tree at the center of the forest, after reaching it take a left and continue until you see a small stream, follow it north and it should lead you out of the forest and far away from here. There are no beast of any kind and even if there is as long as you don¡¯t disturb them or trespass their territory you should be fine.¡± After Lee gave them the instruction to follow, he immediately turn around and head back to the temple. After all he was a monk, even though he hated the Sect and those in it. He could not abandon his master who is fighting for everyone sake. Lee rushed back to the location that his master was previous at. Once Lee arrived all he saw was bunch of dust scatter on the ground. His master was nowhere to be seen. Then he realized something, as he took a quick look around, all the demons seem to be retreating. They were heading to inner main hall north of the outer main hall. Lee carefully follow the horde of demons, hoping they would lead him to his master. Shaolin Temple Sect Inner Main Hall Wu Liang regain conscious. One of which he had recognize many years ago that he could not forget. That aura was the Demon Lord. The other Wu guess is one of his general. Wu tried to stand up, but realize that his leg was impaled by two steel swords. His arms seems to have rested on the spears that is on both side of him that graze his skin at his side. But in front of his pain, he cannot so a bit of weakness. ¡°It seems that you have already awoken, by dear old friend.¡± The Demon Lord notice that Wu was observing what was going on. ¡°Heh, to think that you have broken through the seals that I placed on you many years ago. Now it time to end this.¡± Glaring at Wu, he began to send one of his minions to finish Wu. He was confident in his ability to contend against that palm so he only used twenty percent of his power. The two collided and a powerful force sent both side back. Wu flew back ten meters and was coughing out blood. The demon lord took only a step back, but no longer had his prideful face. Even though Wu was no longer the person he was long ago, he was still strong. ¡°It seem like I have to give you face. This time I will finish you personally.¡± The demon lord charge at Wu at an incredible speed within half a breath he was near Wu and sending his fist at him. ¡°So the big guy finally gave face to a blind monk heh.¡± Wu just stood still, he had use everything he had during that palm strike. He did everything he could. His job was long finish. He thought back on his life. At that moment he had a little regret. That regret was becoming a monk. He could have enjoy all the beautiful girls, delicious meat, and probably had a relaxing life doing nothing. But in the back of his mind he did not regret meeting Lee. Teasing and torturing the little guy, Wu finally fall into darkness. The demon lord felt a bit of pain in his fist. There was a backlash, he stare at his hand to see a faintly glowing symbol slowly disappear. He glared at Wu body with a serious face. He only use ten percent of his power against Wu. If he use his full might. He knew he would have his entire arm cripple. In the end Wu, did not disappoint him. He knew his greatest enemy was the only person in the world that can match up against him. To give Wu face, he order his minion to take Wu body and bury him. As for the rest of the corpse, which was scatter all over the sect, they can do whatever they pleased with it. The demon turned and walked out, the general order the minion to move out as well. Within minutes the hall was empty. In the corner a figure can be seen coming out of the darkness. It was none other than Lee who is currently crying as he walked out. He fell to his knee in front of the doorway that his master body had pass through. Fuck the gods. Fuck my pathetic weak body. If I had power none of this would happen. Lee continue to cry. Until he felt a sharp pain in his body. He looked down and saw a blade had pierce his heart. An Elite Demonic Reaver had silently went up to Lee and quickly stab him. Blood trickle down his mouth. Lee felt coldness swept over his body. He knew this life was over. He had one wish. That wish is that in the next life, he would not be as useless as he is in this life. Lee body crashed onto the floor. His eyes began to slowly dim. Darkness finally cover his vision. Deep in the forest. A cry can be heard. Finally reaching the inside, Lee can see that this cave was bigger on the inside. It had a small land with a big peach tree in the middle of a small lake. The lake was wide as ten elephants in a line. There was a large paintings on the wall. It was a portrait of countless people Lee did not know. Among the wall were few smaller cave that led to somewhere. Probably a bedroom or a kitchen. The place was huge. Lee wanted to explore this place. ¡°From now on this home. I am now your new mother, Mei Fong. Hmm, I shall name you Lee Fong. My little Lee. You are now my son. No matter what, I shall protect you and watch you grow.¡± With a smile, she gave Lee a kiss on the forehead. An illusion of a coiling dragon can be seen, it last for a few seconds and then disappear. This was key seal that Mei gave to Lee. It allow Lee to be able to enter the cave anytime he wishes. Without the seal, no one would be able to enter, unless a person with the seal grant them access. Or someone strong enough to force their way in. However even if they did force their way in they would have to find the entrance first, then bypass hidden trap, and overcome the final obstacle which was a powerful illusion that was so real, that if you are careless you could die even if you knew it was fake. Mei took Lee to a cave east of their location. Inside was two beast and one insect. They were eating, when they saw Mei came in with a human baby on her arms they were curious. They were thinking, fuck this Mei probably hate feeding us meat, since it was hard to find meet in the mountain, she is probably going to feed us a human so we can vomit to death. Mei stop in front of them. She held Lee facing them and began to point. ¡°Lee these are your uncle. From now on they will also take care of you. This is Uncle Feng, he is a fat bear.¡± After she said the two words, fat bear, the wolf next to him laugh out loud. The bear face the wolf immediately with anger. If it was Mei, he would her to make fun of him, however since it was someone else he would not tolerate it. He got up and sat on the wolf. HOWL! The wolf cry out in pain. However even after the Feng sat on him, it did not crush his body or flatten him. How could it flatten him? All three of them at the highest peak of Divine Cultivator, their bodies were tough to the point that it would probably take an entire mountain to crush them flat. Even so, Feng body was so heavy, when sitting on the wolf, he was able to make the wolf cried in pain. ¡°The crying wolf who is blind is your Uncle Mu. You must not tease your Uncle Mu for being blind. If it wasn¡¯t him saving my life when I was a little girl, I wouldn¡¯t be here. But it cause him to lose his sight.¡± She gave a sad smile. ¡°The last one is your Uncle Ro, he is a cockroach.¡± After she said that, Lee look at Uncle Ro. The heck this cockroach is his uncle, let alone why would a female like herself would keep a cockroach. Most girl would be frighten of it. But he cast away the thought. If these three uncle where living here. It meant that they were special or had a connection to Mei. ¡°Little Lee, you may not know this but when you grow up I will explain it to you. But your mother is a dragon. Though you are a baby, you will not remember this. I reveal it when you are older.¡± She gentle cradle Lee, they slowly head out of the cave and to the north wall of the cave, which was the bedroom. Lee was stunned. He had enter the dragon lair. Chapter 6 - Lee Determination Merry Christmas to everyone, I made this chapter a bit extra longer as a present for you guys. School about to start soon. An I will be working everyday of next week, even on Christmas (I need money to pay rent of course). So the chapter will be delay I will be posting it every two or three weeks. If luck I can manage to post every week if I am not swap with school and work. Sorry about that guys, busy life. Anyways enjoy reading. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lee been living in the lair for more than few weeks and learn many things about himself and his new family. For one he knew that once again he was abandoned by his family, for what reason he did not know. He found out from his mother Mei, that he seem normal beside his eyes, which was so unique and mysterious that Mei would often look at his eyes when she was cradling him. His three uncle were divine beast, they had cultivated for thousands of years. To Lee¡¯s surprise out of the three, Uncle Ro, the Divine Cockroach, was the strongest of the three. Hence his job was to patrol outside the lair. His Uncle Feng, was a chef and a hunter, his priority was gather food and cook it. Uncle Mu was blind, so he was basically a babysitter. Lee, who is one year old, couldn¡¯t do much. Day after day he would sit watching his Uncle Mu tried to entertain him. Eat with his Uncle Feng, and crawl around exploring the cave. In the huge lair was a library filled with roughly three hundreds books, a kitchen, and large bedroom for everyone, a training ground, and of course the center of the lair was the peach tree, that Lee would often stare at it. Lee didn¡¯t know why but the peach tree seem to have attracted his attention. He would often have his mother take him over there. Whenever he was under the tree, he felt his qi moving back and forth, his body becoming lighter, and he felt that his mind had expanded. Mei didn¡¯t know why Lee was interested in the tree, but whenever she brought him over he would become more energetic. Today Mei told him that her elder sister would be coming home soon. Lee didn¡¯t know much about his mother family, all he knew was that the Dragon Race went into hiding. They were nearly extinguished by both the demon and the humans, if it was Mei father and the other leaders of the Dragon Race who gave their lives for the rest of the race to run away. There were only a handful of Dragon clan left. Lee knew that the dragon race had a hard time conceiving a child. Since dragons have a very long life they rarely did produce much. After almost being annihilated, they began trying to repopulate, however it still prove difficult. Over several hundreds of years and only two dragon child had been born. Although he didn¡¯t have much experience in life, he knew the hardship his mother had when she was young. Lee can¡¯t help but do something her. He was given a second chance at his new life. He knew that if he was to be the pathetic weak monk that he was in his first life, he would never amount to anything. The next day, Lee woke up early. His mother had left for the day, where she went he did not know. He only knows that she would bring home clothes, herbs, food, demon cores, and either a scroll or book. Lee crawl to the training grounds. The training grounds was similar to a dojo. However along the wall is filled with weapons, each weapon had a plate under it with names written on it. The center of the training ground had a circle about 5 meters wide, a faint barrier can be seen. It is a powerful barrier that absorb all damage whether you are inside or out. It was perfect for unleashing powerful attacks, and the special thing about barrier was the gravity. It can be increase to create immense pressure inside, a perfect ideal to undergo body training. Lee crawl towards the center and into the barrier. Reaching inside he sat down and look at his surroundings. The gravity has not been activated, nor did Lee want to. Since he knew that this small body of his will be crushed under its effect. The barrier was thin and he can see everything outside. After confirming that no one is watching, Lee began to close his eyes and recall his previous memories of his past life. Time went on and Lee manage to surface some of the memories. Majority of them were useless things that Lee didn¡¯t want to remember. What he wanted was the technique he had gotten from his former master. Finally after half a day Lee recalled two of the technique. Flow with Water and Turning Tide. Lee started to practice. Even though he can¡¯t produce much, he knew if he start at a young age, when he grew older he will by unmatched. Lee move his arms like water flowing down a peaceful stream. While practicing, he felt although it is not effective he is confident it will grow slowly. However Lee did not know, that his qi is slowly forming around him and condensing into his body. Since he is just a year old baby and he had yet to learn how to cultivate, he would not be able to feel the power growing within him. After some time pass, Lee had stop, and began to crawl out of the training ground. He knew his mother will be home soon, and his uncle would come and find him. He didn¡¯t want them to see him training, it would be weird for a baby to learn martial arts. He did not know what they will do to him if they were ever to find out. He crawl towards the entrance and sat there, staring at the luminous tunnel, waiting for his mother to arrive. Uncle Mu who was sleeping this whole day finally woke up. He knew his master was coming home. His job was to be a babysitter, but every day he would laze around and sleep, he would only play Little Lee for a few minutes and shoo him away. Uncle Mu frantically ran out of his room to find Lee, using his nose he could smell Lee scent, he quickly follow the scent and realize Lee was sitting at the entrance. In his mind Mu was thinking that Lee was yearning for Mei and had been waiting for her all day. Mu didn¡¯t know Lee was training that afternoon. He quickly walk towards Lee and sat down behind him. Lee knew Uncle Mu wakened up from his nap, and just came and sat behind him. They both waited for his mother to come home. As it took an incense of time to burn, Mei finally walked through the entrance and finally arrived home. Mei looked tired, behind her was a large sack of items she had acquired from raiding bandits and merchants on the road, of course in her dragon form, otherwise she would have been discovered. She would do this twice a week, other days she would go to human town to buy and sell items, or stay at home resting and training. But since Lee had shown up in her life, so she would find time to take care of Lee and pamper him. Mei walk in wearily and saw Lee waiting for her, and Uncle Mu too but he was sleeping. Lee crawl up to her. She gave him a small smile and pick him up. Lee can tell that his mother was tired from work, he knew she was supporting one more mouth to feed. Lee comfort her by giving her small pats on the head. Wu Wu. Don¡¯t worry mother I am a good child, I¡¯ll be on my best behavior. Mei nodded as she probably had understand what Lee was trying to convey to her. ¡°What a good child, come mother has to train. Tonight someone special will be coming home.¡± She cradle Lee in her arms, and walk towards the training ground. Arriving at the training ground, Mei put Lee down on the ground just a meter away from the barrier. Lee sat there watching Mei walked inside. He knew if he was to enter inside he would not withstand the intense pressure of the gravity field. He knew his mother was strong, but wasn¡¯t sure how strong. He watched as Mei began her training. She moves the energy, from the cold air, into her body condensing it within the qi force inside her. The qi force within, was revolving like a sphere it was spinning faster and faster in every direction. Then it stopped and it began to glow and pushes out an immense energy out. Mei quickly uses that force to guide it to her arms and into her palm. Pulling back the palm and gather it all at the center of the palm, she finally unleash the attack. Lee watch Mei strike the air with her palm. After that nothing happen. Lee was curious why she would use all that force to do a regular palm strike. Anyone can do that. Lee stared at Mei continue to do couple of those. Finally after twelve palm strike, Lee saw something weird. Did the barrier create a ripple or was it my imagination? Lee continue to stare and saw nothing, finally he began to crawl to the front side of the barrier where Mei was striking the palm at hoping to get a better view. He sat down and continue staring straight at the barrier. After a few palm strike, Lee began to see a faint ripple, he began to squint. Although it was faint Lee could finally see it. However it suddenly disappear afterwards, Lee was mystify by his mother technique. He shut his eyes hard then began to open them, hoping it wasn¡¯t an illusion. Suddenly the world turn grey. Lee realize his special eye that he thought he had lost in his previous life would not be acquire in this life. However he was wrong it seems that the Chronostasis eye follow him into this life. Lee could see Mei movements slow down, every second to Mei was like fifteen seconds to Lee. He can see a red color mist surrounding Mei, entering her body. The blue aura covering the edges of Mei body seemingly accepting the red mist and converting it slowly to its color. Lee saw see the traces of the aura being push upwards and towards the palm that Mei was condensing. At the center of the palm it was clear white, it was like a flat circle seemingly getting stronger and stronger as Mei continue to pour all the energy into it. Then as Mei release the energy and striking her palm. The white flat circle was push out into a straight line. In a second it disappear, then reappear right at the edge of the barrier and let out a strong ripple. To Lee surprise the ripple was bigger on the inside of the barrier and on the outside only a faint ripple can be seen. Lee rack his brain together to figure out was this technique that Mei was using. Finally Lee gain a small insight. This technique of Mei, this palm strike, cannot be seen by human eyes. Lee came to realize just because you can¡¯t clearly see it, does not mean it wasn¡¯t powerful. This technique can cause internal damage. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. This technique that Mei had displayed was, the [Hidden Dragon Palm Strike], it allows the user to draw nature energy around them and be absorb into their body and allow them to condense it by adding more force in their qi force. Using the energy and qi, the user will have it flow towards the palm, condensing it further and increase its power, depending on one¡¯s strength, the power release out can be deadly. Once release the fusion of both nature energy and the user qi will flow straight in the direction where the palm strike. The power will flow through the air fast as lightning, if it hit the target, the person will not suffer external damage. Instead he will suffer heavy internal energy and it will cause his flow of qi to be disrupted for a short amount of time. That few seconds can mean life or death during battle. If the palm strike land on the person body, he will either die or worse be cripple for the rest of his life. Even armor is useless against this palm strike. However no matter how strong this technique is it require concentration, nature energy, being able to hit the person, and foremost two seconds. Not only had it had high requirement, it also have many stages to increase its power. Total of twelve stage, each stage increase its power by ten percent. Adding to the person strength and qi force, at the highest stage one can unleash two-hundred and fifty percent. It enough to create a large crater in the earth. Mei is currently at stage nine. She had yet to break through into stage ten. Though she have a very long life, she had been doing this for one-hundred and seventy years. Mei finally stop practicing, she gave a slight frown. She knew she is still far away from reaching stage ten, however it did not decrease her determination. After stopping she notice Lee, Lee sat there with his tiny arms imitating Mei actions. Mei wasn¡¯t shock, in her mind she think that Lee was a baby and was curious, so he try to imitate her. However she did not know that Lee was trying to learn how Mei was doing this. Leaving the barrier, she pick up Lee. Gave a small pat. ¡°Come little Lee, my sister should arrive soon. Time to go meet your aunt.¡± Mei and Lee left the grounds and head to the main hall. Everyone was waiting for Mei¡¯s sister to arrive. Uncle Feng had cooked a huge feast and was currently setting up the banquet, Uncle Mu was sleeping on the left side of Mei, and Uncle Ro, was scurrying at the speed of sound putting up decorations. After it took a two incense to burn, a female appear to the main hall. Lee couldn¡¯t help but stare at her. His aunt look exactly like his mother, very beauty but more mature. They were twins. ¡°Sister you¡¯re back. How was the journey?¡± Mei walked towards her sister, and gave a huge smile. She hadn¡¯t seen her sister in fifteen years. ¡°It was a bit rough, there are lots of forces moving. Who is this little baby?¡± ¡°Sister this is my child, Little Lee, I found him abandon in the forest. Little Lee, this is my older twin sister Rei.¡± Mei introduces the two, and held Lee out to Rei. Ga Ga Wu. Of course Lee couldn¡¯t speak yet but he talked anyway to his aunt. Hi Aunt Rei, I am Lee. Rei reach out and held Lee in her arms. ¡°Sister, you should know our ancient code, we are not to interact with humans, let alone raise one.¡± Rei sternly look at Mei. Hearing this Lee can¡¯t help but frown inside. ¡°Sister ¡¡± ¡°No, we should leave the child in the forest, and let fate take its course.¡± Rei interrupted Mei, and gave her a scowl. Rei in her heart, didn¡¯t like to abandon such a cute child, however she knew that if the other dragon clan knew they would be exile. WAH! Lee was intelligent, he cried out loud. His voice woke up Uncle Mu, who was happily sleeping. Uncle Feng was startled by the cried and drop a beautiful made cake that took him two hours to make. Uncle Ro, stop what he was doing, and at his speed arrived to Lee in two seconds, and began trying to calm Lee down. ¡°Sister, look what you have done.¡± Rei frown, she couldn¡¯t help but feel that this child was actually smart. To be able to understand what she was trying to do. Rei look at Lee in the eyes, and felt a shiver. His eyes were white, it looked like he was blind, and however she could see a faint blue color in his eyes, which she kept unconscious staring as if a powerful force was locking onto her eyes. Lee shiver a bit, thinking Rei was looking into his soul. ¡°Sister?¡± Mei shook Rei, breaking Rei from her trance and then began convincing her. After a while, Rei gave in to Mei. Sigh. She knew Mei was stubborn and would do everything to get what she wants. Rei finally let go of abandoning Lee, and began to cradle him her arms, and Lee finally calm down. ¡°If he was to live with us he needs to be able to rid of his himself, and become one of us. He will become a dragon, live like one, and be train like one. Though he is a human and have many weakness, we can forge him into the strongest warrior in the world.¡± Rei spoke to Mei, and Mei gave a relieve sigh, and smiled at Lee. Rei knew if Lee couldn¡¯t become a strong as dragon, he will be killed by their clan, and of course she and Mei will be exile and in the worst case scenario be killed for going against their ancient code. After eating the feast prepare, and everyone went to sleep. Rei and Mei was in the library. Talking in front of the fireplace, Mei who was cradling Lee as he slept in her arms, ask Rei about her journey. ¡°The forces are moving, the humans are getting stronger. They are expanding, trying to control as much land and power they can. The demons are currently seem to prepare for another war. However I do not know when. Our dragon clan will have a gathering in a few years to determine our stance in this world.¡± Rei gave Mei a short details on everything the world is going on. ¡°I fear we will leave this world, and head towards Chaos Plane. There we will be able to expand our lineage and become a dominant force like we did in the past.¡± Rei face had a sad expression. Her kin was put into shame few centuries ago, they were once powerful and unrivaled, however after the humans gotten stronger and smarter, with the demon attacking them as well, and they were pushed into brink of extinction. If not for the brave dragon warriors risking their lives so they could run, they would not exist. ¡°I will not go.¡± Mei response to Rei shocked her. Before Rei could open her mouth to argue with Mei. Mei stop her. ¡°I cannot leave Little Lee, if he were to go with us to the Chaos Plane, I have no doubt the air would kill him, even if he survive he will live in agony every day.¡± Mei stroke Lee face and tears fall on Lee. In though they been together for few months, she felt that Lee was actually her child. Rei couldn¡¯t say anything. If Mei stay in this world, sooner or later she would probably be found and be hunted. While on the run, how would she take care of Lee? Although she is strong, if she were overwhelm by powerhouses she would not survive. ¡°I see. I cannot not sway you, but if you wish to stay I will not intervene. However Lee is weak, if he is to stay with you he needs to be strong enough to protect you or at the very least protect himself.¡± Rei furrowed her eyebrow, looking at Lee she felt that under Mei pampering Lee would grow up weak. The only option was to train Lee at young age, and hope he can become strong before the gathering. Mei slightly nodded, and stare at Lee. Still cradling Lee in her arms, her face fill with confidence. She knows that Lee is smart, if he is not smart then he wouldn¡¯t be curious that late evening. She knows Lee will one day become strong, hopefully stronger than her. Lee of course who was there, didn¡¯t actually sleep at all. He was pretending, by closing his eyes, and kept a constant flow of breathing. He had heard everything, he knew he was currently weak. He could not refute his Aunt Rei words, that he could be weak in the future. However Lee did not want to be weak like he was in the previous life. Lee filled with determination to become strong, strong that he will no longer be bullied. Strong that he will no longer rely on other people power, and strong enough to protect everything that is precious to him. Lee made his decision, at this moment he will not stop, he will climb through heaven and hell to gain strength he had always wanted. The room filled with silent, the fire flicker back and forth in the fireplace. The darkness in the room grew. Everything was still. Deep within the castle, a demon-like human was sitting in the throne. His eyes burst open. ¡°It is almost time.¡± His voice boomed out of the castle. Outside the castle, where it stood in on top of the mountain, deep within the pit were hoard of demons. There where thousands of millions of demon in formation. As they heard their lord voice. They all roared. Their roars shook the air. The era of demon had finally arrived. Nothing can stop their onslaught.
Letting everyone know the story is progressing slowly, this of course my intention. If I develop it to fast Lee become strong and you will miss out on lots of his new life experience. It may be slow but it will get better. Chapter 7 – Second Chance at Life Hey everyone, Happy Late New Years. I want to thank my friends and family for chipping in some money. I got myself a tablet. I am able to write my story in bed (cozy and warm) and also in school. Though I will be busy with work and school, I will try to write every week or 2. Currently my friend is behind on editing and I am currently on a search for English Major in my college. I will reedit all my chapters before I release on Amazon as an ebook. Thanks for reading and supporting me. I am also letting you guys know that in the summer I will be learning Chinese, to join the translation group to translate light novels.(Though I could translate Vietnamese light novels, I get sleepy reading them). I will reedit all the grammar and spelling by the end of the week. So if you want to wait then feel free if not continue reading. Enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lee is now two years old. Five months have pass, since he had met his Aunt Rei, and since then Lee continue to train harder. Rei had left to go on a journey once more promising to be back when Lee turns six. Mei, of course continues on the daily routine, but now every night when Lee fall asleep, she would pour in tiny bits of her tyrannical dragon qi into Lee. Not too much that can cripple him, but little by little so that his body can adapt to it. This Dragon Qi, is special, to dragons they gain immense strength, defense, and their energy reserve would expand ten folds. For human, they can obtain it through energy transfer or by drinking dragon¡¯s blood. Though they gain the same effect, it¡¯s only roughly five percent of the dragon total power, assuming they can endure the pain and live through its explosive powers. But even so that five percent is enough to shatter steel if one¡¯s able to utilize that power well enough. Even if they couldn¡¯t use it correctly they are still stronger than a sixth stage Qi Cultivator. (Chapter 2 for those who forgot the Cultivation Path. Each Path has 10 stages) Every day for the past five months, Lee had recalled some memories, but what he recall were only fifty of the three thousand Tai Qi techniques, he had only fifteen that did not require him to use his leg but only the upper body. The rest was footwork that Lee can only hope to wait till he is able to walk correctly. [Flow with Water], [Flow with Wind], [Turning the Tide], [Repel the Wind], [Climbing the Heaven], [Way of Life], [Way of Peace], [Disperse of Energy], [Calming the Raging Storm], [Calming the Flow of Energy], [Calming of the Soul], [Reversal Flow], [Balance of Yin and Yang], [Inner Peace], and the last technique that seems easy that anyone can do, was [Breathe of Life]. Lee didn¡¯t understand why he recall this last useless skill that was left by his master. All it did was breath in slowly through the nose, holding it for three seconds and exhaling slowly from the mouth. He must use this technique as long as he is alive. He must incorporate it with his other technique, when he eats, and also when he sleeps. Though it was useless, Lee couldn¡¯t help but use it anyways. After five month he was unconsciously doing this, as if it was natural. However Lee didn¡¯t only train physically. He knew his knowledge was lacking. Especially this world he is in. He didn¡¯t know whether this was the same world or a different one. Today he enter the library. In here was around three hundred books, neatly organize by genre. Though there was only three hundred each one is very rare, and there is only a single copy of each. Whenever Mei raided, she would search to find any rare books, the rest she would burn it to ashes. It the book was extremely special, she would not hesitate to acquire it, even if it was dangerous. However because of Lee, she reluctantly stop doing such dangerous raid. Uncle Mu was with Lee, Lee had pulled Mu fur in order to get him wake up and follow him. Lee then pointed on the shelf at a particular book. Though Mu is blind, he can feel the aura in the air, and his ear is very sensitive, he can determine the way the Lee hand distort the air and stop at a particular angle. At that moment Mu leapt to the bookshelf and grab the book Lee wanted. Though Uncle Mu wasn¡¯t why Lee wanted this book, perhaps it was a picture book that Mei had bought, that Lee wanted to see. Mu knows Lee couldn¡¯t read, so he is going to look at the picture. After Mu finish his job, he just sat in the corner and slept. The book that Lee wanted was regarding the world he is in and the information of it. Opening the book, Lee was surprise. The words were similar to his world, he was able to read it clearly. As he continue he went into a state of shock. He found out that he was reborn many years into the future. The continent they were in was Escilia it was very large, ¡®the size of Australia¡¯, home to millions and millions of humans. There was also a small country near the border of Escilia separate by a five meter wide river. This was the Demon Country, though it was small ¡®think of Japan¡¯, many demons reside there and continue to expand and grow. However as Lee kept reading, this was only a tenth of the world. Beyond the continent was the ocean, and beyond that legends spread that there were other continent that could possibly have monster or other humans. However no one dared to travel across the ocean. Many who have tried never return. Lee slowly learn what had happen over 400 years. He knew it wasn¡¯t a dream nor did he escape from it. God may had grant him a second life, but fate still bound him to this world. Knowing that the Demons had gotten stronger, and war might happen anytime. Lee began to buckle down and become more series. He had only few years till the clan meeting and every second is precious. Lee finally close the book and sighed. He crawl to Mu and was about to wake him up, but something caught his eyes. There on the dark bottom corner bookshelf, cover in dust glinting, was a large book. If it hadn¡¯t glinted in Lee¡¯s eyes he would have never seen it. Lee approach it and pulled it. However it was heavy and it seemed like it was stuck to the bookshelf. Using all of his strength Lee pulled back as hard as he can. Pop. Thud. The book suddenly flew out of the shelf. The force that Lee had use to pull back sent his body to the ground. Though it was a soft impact, as a child it hurt quite a bit. Lee cried in pain. Mu who was sleeping soundly woke up from Lee crying. He was sweating he was to supposed to make sure Lee wasn¡¯t doing anything stupid but from the cry Lee had been injure. He rush to over Lee, and began trying to calm down. After couple of minutes Lee stop crying, and the nervous Mu finally stop trembling. He then bite on Lee shirt and began carrying him out of the library. Lee was being transported out but he was able to grasp the book with him before leaving, of course Mu didn¡¯t notice the slight shift in weight since he wanted to get Lee to a safer area, and hope Mei doesn¡¯t find out. In the bedroom, Lee sat with the dusty heavy book. Uncle Mu of course, was lying in the corner however he was meditating, after learning his lesson he did not sleep as of today. Lee wipe the dust from the book. [Techniques of Acupuncture and the Works of the Human Body]. Lee was curious he never heard the method of Acupuncture in his life and why a person would need to know the human body, it can be determine by their physical appearance and their qi energy. Without any further delay Lee open the book, to the first chapter of Acupuncture. It gave a short introduction to acupuncture. It was a profound realm beside taking medicine, it can control muscle, flow of energy in the body, help alleviate certain area of pain, cure illness that no medicine can cure, and many more. As Lee read on he found out not many people delve into this technique. Not only was it time consuming but it is also dangerous. If done wrong the person can be under immense pain or die from it. Not only that much one must be familiar with the structure of human body whether they are small or tall, young or old, male or female, and one must know all the location of the pressure point or as the book states the chi points. This chi points is very sensitive it allows the energy to follow through the body faster and easier, if several connecting chi point is block it can lead to internal explosion, since the energy will build up in that single place, or it can stop the person from being able to use their qi. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. Lee was mesmerize, he began to reread the Acupuncture two times. He learn the uses of it, but more importantly the only material he would need is a fine thin needle, no longer than three to four inches, and also a person to test it on. Though the needle can be acquired easily the problem Lee face is test subjects. Who would be his guinea pig? Lee look at Uncle Mu. He contemplate on whether if animals have these pressure point as well, how it is different from humans, and how would it affect them. As of now it was near into evening and Mei was about to come home. Lee close the book and push it under his pillow. Then he climb down from bed and began crawling and walking to the front entrance. He sat down and waited. One hour had pass, Lee believe Mei was late from her work. Two hour pass, Uncle Ro came back from patrol, and saw Lee waiting. Mu was not watching Lee, so Ro went to look for Mu and gave him a good beating. Three hours pass, Lee began to worry, his face gave out a gloomily aura. Four hours pass, Lee breathing began to get more rough, he was about to cry when an elegant figure appear near the door. Lee got up to his feet and walk fast to Mei, though he fell down a couple of time he would get up again and walk to her. Mei saw Lee walking towards her, she gave a loving smile. Lee had grown so much over one year. She came and pick Lee up. Lee had small tears running down his face but didn¡¯t brawl out of loud. He saw Mei had a small cut on her arm, it was cover by her sleeves, so Lee didn¡¯t know how big it was. But he knew Mei engage in combat and it was the reason why she was late coming home. ¡°I am sorry Lee. Did you worry about me?¡± Mei wipe Lee¡¯s tears and cradle him in her arms. ¡°It¡¯s alright, I am here now. I promise I won¡¯t leave you.¡± Lee gave a cute smile to Mei. Though he is still worry but he knew Mei was home and safe. As usual, Mei took Lee to the training ground, there she would practice. Lee watch her every day, he too practice with Mei. Though Lee cannot use the energy and qi like Mei. He quickly grasp the method behind it. Lee can slowly feel the energy around him slowly being absorb, and he finally develop the qi energy within his body. Though it was currently small it was growing at an astonishing rate. Under the peach blossom tree Mei was reading to Lee. This book was a bit different from the picture books Mei been reading to him. This one talks about the epic adventures of a dragon princess. Lee love this story, how this princess wanted to explore the world just like how her father did. She trained very hard in order to go outside of her clan. However she ran away from home, because she had an arrange marriage set up by her elders. Though her twin sister try to convince her to come back home, she was stubborn and ran away. She explore the world. Meeting many friends, enemies, and fell in love with a simple man. However it was during the period of war, and she watch as everyone close to her die. War change everything, she went on an endless rampage on both the humans and demons. Finally massacring, many humans and demon alike, she fled to the mountains and there she reside. It was a simple story Mei read to Lee, it didn¡¯t explain much. But Lee can¡¯t help but seems that the story was related to Mei in a way. He didn¡¯t know if this was actually her life story or it was exaggerated in a way, to make Lee more excited about the book. Mei grab another book. It was a fantasy book, regarding a child who was giving a second chance at life. The child lost everything and was about to commit suicide, however a stranger stop him. This stranger became his father and teacher. Thought him about beautiful things in life, thought him the world, and show him that dying wasn¡¯t the answer he was looking for. After the day the child became an adult, his master was murdered. The child who was now a man, chase the killer to the ends of the earth. Finally killing the person, but all the hatred and rage gave him nothing. He fell into despair and knew he could no longer continue his life, after the things he had done to get to where he was. On the verge of insanity he recall his life with his master, he got up and walked towards to the sunset. Though Mei told him no one knew what he did, but rumor said that he became like his master, he would lead those who were on the verge of not wanting to live anymore to the path of life. Lee was mesmerize about this. Though he could relate a bit in some way to himself. He felt that after Mei read him this story, he understand that revenge will not bring back what he lost. What Lee needed to do was look towards the future and bring hope to those who had lost hope. Lee felled asleep, Mei slowly got up and carry Lee to his bed. Then she went to another cave. In this cave was a hot spring. Mei walked towards the large mirror that was place on the wall three meters from the hot spring. She stood in front, and let her elegant dress fall to her ankles. Her body was milky white, clear, and smooth like a jade. Whether if the person is a male or female they would be attracted to Mei, as no beauty would be able to contend against her. Mei looked at the mirrors, her hands drew across her body, and on her body were few scars. Though it wasn¡¯t deep, it would leave a permanent mark on her body. Today, was one of the dangerous day she had encounter when she raided a mercenary supply group. They were only a few dozen men, however it was unexpected that the empire army would patrol along those route, and had come to help the supply team. No more than two thousand men surrounded her, few were top elites. Though she manage to kill majority of them, she was careless and got injured by those elites. The raid ended in failure and she manage to escape with few things. Although dragons were strong and have a high defense, Mei was yet to become a mature dragon. She was still growing and developing. She needed at least couple of hundreds of years before she can finally reach the end of her growth stage and she wouldn¡¯t have to fear anyone below stage six of Divine Cultivation Realm. Mei stopped looking at her body, slowly walked over to the hot spring and dip herself in the water. The water was warm, it slowly recovers Mei qi force and heal the wounds. However the scar was still present, Mei could easily removes these scar, but she left it as a reminder that if it were to happen again. Lee will be without a mother. She gaze at the ceiling and wonder, how she was going to train Lee. Though he is only two, he must start early. She closed her eyes, and meditate knowing that worrying will only bring her stress. Silence. ¡°Lee get up. Today is a big day.¡± Mei walked into Lee¡¯s room. ¡°Lee, where are you?¡± She curiously look for Lee, not a single presence was detected. Where was Lee? Chapter 8 – Teachings of the divine beast (Part 1) Hello everyone, I am alive, no I did not forget about my readers. I have been busy with school and work. However I manage to complete chapter 8 and started chapter 9. Sorry for the delay, when we reach summer I will be writing a lot more. Thanks ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ¡°Lee?¡± Mei began to grow worry. She walked towards Lee bed. Lee¡¯s bed was neatly made. The blanket folded below the pillow, the pillow looked like no one slept on it, and not even a faint smell was on the bed. Mei brows furrowed together. She began to grow anxious to find Lee. Suddenly a small white pale arm stretch from underneath the bed grabbing onto Mei ankles. Mei was not scared by the sudden moment, she bend down to look under the bed. There she saw Lee¡¯s cute face smiling towards her. ¡°Hehe, did I scared you mother?¡± Lee who was now three years old was crawling out from under the bed. ¡°Silly child, how could you scare me? Come, today your uncles will begin your training.¡± Mei held Lee little hand and they both began to walk to the main hall. As they arrive, Lee can see Uncle Ro, Uncle Mu, and Uncle Feng waiting for them. Mei wanted Lee to start his training early. If Mei didn¡¯t catch Lee practicing in secret, she would have waited till he was four before they can begin. Mei can¡¯t help but smile at Lee. She was happy to know that he was a genius at a very young age. Able to speak very well, able to read books that are made for adults, and able to cultivate early. ¡°Lee you will begin your training with your Uncles. However you can only choose one of them for now. When they feel that you have satisfy their requirements, only then can move onto the next uncle and learn. Choose wisely Lee you only have three years before your Aunt Rei comes backs. She and I will personally train you.¡± Mei voice was very stern but there was a hint of pride as well. If Lee can pass his uncle training in three years, then everything will fall into place, and Mei will not need to fear at the gatherings of the dragon clan. Lee nodded and stared at his three uncles. Lee began to think. Uncle Ro is a cockroach, his duty was to patrol the mountain in case any humans, wild beast, or even demon dare to approach their home. Uncle Feng, is a chief, he usually go out to hunt some meat, gather berries, and tend to a small garden in the cave. Uncle Mu babysit Lee and sleeps. Though he doesn¡¯t know what type of training that they will give him. Lee can¡¯t help but contemplate on the choice he has. After the time it took for twenty breath, Lee made his choice. ¡°Uncle Feng I choose you. Please guide me¡± Lee gracious bowed to the fat bear. Uncle Feng eyes lit up. He was honor to be the first teacher for Lee that he push his agenda of making a cake to the top of his to do list. Uncle Feng quickly escort Lee to the kitchen quickly, in hoping he would not change his mind at the last second. Uncle Feng grabbed a stool for Lee to stand on, so that he can see what he was going to do. ¡°I will teach you what many people always fail to teach their pupils. Controlling Qi and Qi Manipulation.¡± Uncle suddenly put on a serious face. The around the two began to change. Suddenly it was warm. Lee began to see a small white mist coming out of Uncle Feng body. Silence filled the room. Not a half second has pass, and the silence was broken when Feng grabbed a knife, Lee didn¡¯t notice how Feng was going to hold a knife with his paw. But as Feng held the knife up in the air, Lee saw Feng arm was same as a human. Lee had forgotten that when a divine beast reach a certain cultivation level, they can morph their body and change it to look like a human. However in some cases, Ancient Beast can turn into a human regardless of their cultivation level though they were rare, and rarely reveal themselves. Mei¡¯s clan was one of the few. Uncle Feng began to grab a carrot and started slicing them. His movement were quick and precise. Within one breath, the carrot was cut. Uncle Feng then started on the potato next. With the knife he peel away the skin. Just like the carrot, Uncle Feng¡¯s movement was quick, accurate, and above all smooth. In just one breath, he was able to peel the entire skin in one attempt the skin look flawless, no potato bits was on the skin. Lee was in awe. He couldn¡¯t believe what he was seeing, it¡¯s as if every food the Uncle Feng cut, peel, or chop was like a rough jade being refined into a smooth radiant jade. Uncle Feng continue for half an hour. Then he look at Lee. He saw a cute child face beaming with curiosity. ¡°Cough¡± Uncle Feng slightly blushed. ¡°Lee from now on, you will be using whatever you harvest or find in the mountain for your training purposes. You are not allow to use any other tools, beside this knife I am holding. I will show you the method to refine and control your qi within your body. The rest is up to you to learn how to grasp it and use it efficiently and effectively. Only by being able to closely match to what I had just done will I consider that you have pass my training.¡± Uncle Feng, then point his finger on Lee forehead. Suddenly a rush of images flow in Lee¡¯s mind. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Lee began to feel overwhelm by the knowledge that instantly rush into his head. However he endure slight fatigue feeling, and try to understand how to control and manipulate this Qi. Lee didn¡¯t attempt his training. For three days, Lee began analyze and experiment with controlling his qi in his body. He could feel that moving his qi to a specific point was easy, but being able to refine it for a long period of time and maintain that aspect was extremely difficult. ¡°Okay, first attempt.¡± Today Lee felt confident as he stared at the carrot in front of him. With the knife in his Lee, he began to focus and concentrated the all of his qi into the knife. The qi force in Lee began swirl rapidly, under Lee command it surge swiftly to his arm. Lee faced began to turn red. The easy part was controlling the qi, the hard part was controlling the output of it. The qi waver as is slowly take shape around the knife. It began to expand and contract. Lee was determine to get it under control. After half an hour of shaping the qi, Lee began to start chopping the carrot it front of him. As Lee chop the carrot, he notice each slice was rigid where the blade cut. The cut was not smooth and it was not cut straight rather it was slanted. Time pass quickly, every day Lee would spend at least two hours trying to cut the carrot skillfully and two hours restoring the energy in his body. Little by little his qi within his body began to expand growing stronger and purer each day. Lee didn¡¯t realize the breathing technique, that he thought was useless, was actually a profound technique that absorb nature qi, refining it into pure qi and condensing it into his body. Lee went from first stage of Qi cultivator to fifth stage in less than three month. Thanks to the profound skill [Breath of life] Lee was able to grasp the summoned qi under his control. He was able to cut the carrot accurately and most of all it was smooth and straight, flat like paper. The hard part was the potato peeling. Uncle Feng lecture to Lee that controlling the qi was easy. Manipulating it compare to controlling was like Heaven and Earth. In order to manipulate Lee must be able to control it, after he complete that step, he must learn how to change it shape. The peeling the potato was one of the difficult change. It had many ridges and the outer was quite bumpy. Most of all Lee cannot have any potato bits on the skin. To manipulate the qi, even though it has envelop the knife outline, was much harder than controlling the output of the qi and its structure. Time and time again, Lee would try to change the qi shape but maintain the knife only to have it disperse into thin air. Causing Lee to become more fatigue as he kept putting more qi into controlling and manipulating it. In order to get the knife to peel the potato skin perfectly, Lee had to shrink the qi on the knife. By focusing the middle part of the knife and having the qi move along the knife but not spreading entire knife was the first part. The next part was getting the qi down to a microscopic level, and bending the tiny qi in hope that it will take shape. Lee continue to practice, he even repeated his previous lesson cutting the carrot to gain further enlightenment. Although Lee was three years old, he had absorb qi at an abnormal rate. For a mere child to have broken through from the first stage to the fifth stage would have taken five years. If they were a genius two years. But Lee wasn¡¯t a normal child, in fact thanks to the environment and his training at age one. Lee had progress at a rapid pace. Half a year have pass, Lee had grown taller he was now two feet and five inches. His skin became pearl white, if he was to lay down in the snow. Even Mei would not be able to find him, unless she use her spiritual sense to find him. Lee had gotten faster and better at controlling his qi. He had finally master manipulating his qi within second, though it exhausted him, since he had to output more qi, but he was happy to know that all his effort finally paid off. ¡°Uncle Feng. Uncle Feng. Look I finally done it.¡± Lee showed the cutest smile that a child could possibly show. Feng look at Lee potato skin, though it was a bit sloppy and there were some bits of potato on the skin, it was a passable grade. He had watch Lee chopped carrot to peeling potato. Feng could not feel proud. ¡°Alright you have passed, however don¡¯t get cocky. This is just the beginning, this is consider child plays in expert eyes. You have yet to condense an actual weapon without the assistance of the any object that you will wield. By being able to create a weapon out of pure qi will take years. Not only will it tax the body heavily it will require immense focus and enormous amount of qi. Once you create the weapon out of your own qi, it will be stronger than any other weapon, beside those [Artifact Weapon].¡± Uncle Feng gave a serious lecture to Lee, in hoping he would not be overconfident and do something reckless in the future. After hearing [Artifact Weapon] Lee began to grow curious. He have not been to the library in ages. He wonder if he can find any information on it. However as of now Lee need to find Uncle Ro, which Lee has chosen as his next teacher. Hoping that Uncle Ro''s training will not be as mentally taxing as Uncle Feng. Little did Lee know Uncle Ro''s training was the worse. Chapter 9 - Teachings of the divine beast (Part 2) Today Uncle Ro had waken Lee up extra early to start his training. Ro was so excited that he had not slept in three days. He was rushing to and fro, gathering material and setting up proper structures and obstacle just for Lee. Lee of course is very tired after being woken up so early. He had only slept for four hours. His eyes were red, face pale, and his body sway back and forth. Trying to stay awake, Lee went and took a quick cold bath. However that cold bath just made him sleepier. Forcing himself to stay awake, Lee walked to where Ro had instructed him to meet at. Uncle Ro was beaming with intensity he look at Lee. They were inside the library. In the middle of the room was a fairly wide table with books stack on top. Uncle Ro signal Lee to come and sit at the table. Lee quickly sat down and stared at Ro, acting all high and mighty. ¡°Lee why do you think so many cultivator die every day? Why do most of them unable to breakthrough their bottlenecks right when they reach it, and that it takes them months or even years to either break through or be stuck at it forever? Why are some are better than others?¡± Uncle Ro bombarded Lee with these three question. Lee furrowed his eyebrow and began to think. ¡°Err¡Is it because they are weak that they die or too weak to gather the qi from Heaven and Earth and condense it into their bodies?¡± Lee nodded at his answer he felt what he said was right. ¡°OW!¡± Uncle Ro smacked Lee on the head with a twig that, for somehow he got it out of nowhere, and Lee could see Ro getting mad at him. ¡°Dumbass! It¡¯s because people think like you is why so many cultivator can never advance or they die a pathetic death. The answer is knowledge. Knowledge will always conquer those with power. Even the strong will submit to the one with brains. Even if you are weaker than them in cultivation with brains you can truly escape life or death or even kill them.¡± Uncle Ro began to slowly explain to the puzzle Lee who is currently rubbing his head from the pain. Uncle Ro quickly crawl to the stack of books he had put on the table. Fast as lightning, several books appeared in front of Lee. Each book was as thick as a brick. Lee notice that each book is either battle technique, formation, skills, and so on. It overwhelm Lee causing to feel a bit nauseous. ¡°Uncle Ro do I have to read all of these?¡± Lee tilt his head to the side. ¡°Of course you must read every single one of these book. However you don¡¯t need to memorize them, I will transfer all my memories and knowledge onto you. All you need to do is read it once and any area that you have trouble understand come to me for more details. This stage will prepare for future uses. After this we will work on your footwork.¡± Lee nodded it would take him at least 10 years to memorize everything and even then he probably would forget half of it. It was a good thing the Uncle Ro memorize it to the point that he didn¡¯t need to read the title of the book that he could determine its contents. ¡°One more thing Lee, I notice that you been hiding a book under your bed.¡± Uncle Ro gave a cynical smile to Lee. Lee began to sweat nervously. His body squirm in the chair. Lee had hid this from his mother and uncles. He didn¡¯t want them to know, mainly his mother, about what he was trying to hide. If his mother found out she would probably faint. Lee had hid it over a year, but somehow Uncle Ro discover his secret. ¡°I..I am¡I am not hiding anything under my bed.¡± Lee voice crackle as he try to answer calmly, however he can¡¯t stop being nervous. ¡°Hehe, nothing escape my grasp.¡± Uncle Ro pulled the book out and place it in front of Lee. THUD. Lee eyes filled with shock, Lee couldn¡¯t believe Uncle Ro was able to locate the book, without him noticing. Lee had made sure no one knew his secret location. In front of him was the secret book that he had hidden, terror filled his face. He could not turn back the time. ¡°So Lee I see you like the human bodies. I did not know you would pick this book. This book is one of my favorite.¡± The book that Uncle Ro was talking about was no other than the Acupuncture and the Human book. Lee had read more than a fourth of the book ever since he had gotten it from the library. No one knew about it. If he reveal that he could actually read such a complex book at age two, they would probably kill him, rather than acknowledge that he was actually smart. ¡°Well we will study this in depth later, since you are interested in this and I had profound knowledge in this area. But first¡HAH.¡± Uncle Ro suddenly jump towards Lee¡¯s forehead. With a tap of his tiny leg onto Lee, he had sent a massive flow of information to Lee¡¯s brain. The information move so fast, it was like a blur in Lee¡¯s mind. With so much information passing through, in matter of minutes Lee had obtain the vast knowledge of more than two thousand books, after Ro remove his leg from Lee, Lee had fainted and fell to the ground. The next day Lee sat in the library, it took him no more than ten minute to read each book. Lee could feel the ability Chronostasis was not what it really seems like. It allow Lee to read at extreme pace and with Uncle Ro implanting his knowledge and memories onto Lee. He could understand everything with clarity. Currently Lee, had thousand books or so to go. He wanted to read faster, but his head is still throbbing from yesterday pain, preventing from increasing his reading speed. Every book Lee would read would contain many profound knowledge that his past life wasn¡¯t able to learn. He learn that humans can fly once they obtain certain cultivation level. Or human did not originally come from this land, but beyond due to some event that sent them fleeing to this place. However although he was fascinated with the books that he is reading, what pique his interest was the book he had found when he was 2. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.Over a couple days Lee would read hundred or so books and at night he would practice his regular routine. Being able to walk and run, Lee began his training on footwork, hoping to impress Ro, however it was harder than it seems. No matter how hard he circulate or control his qi, the footwork drain a lot out of him. He felt he was doing something wrong, but cannot find the area that he is having trouble. Two weeks have pass and Lee had completed almost all the books in the library, but one book. This book caught Lee¡¯s interest. It was [Energy Condensing Weapon], this book explain how to use one qi to create a weapon based on their cultivation and qi force. It can be created instantly and depending on how many stages you master the weapon can be hard as a dragon armor. Lee took his time reading this. He had already learn Qi Condensing and Manipulation Qi from Uncle Feng, which was stage one base on the book. There were total of five stages. The last stage of course being able to create the weapon, and the higher your cultivation level the strong your weapon becomes and the less amount of qi you have to exert. The next stage was condensing the qi into a material. Easy as it seems it was very hard, for experts it would take no more than five years and for those with average talents fifteen years at most. Lee already can condense his qi, but he needed a material to help him form it. This was Lee most difficult challenge. Not only did the book state that he had to condense the qi into a material, he should choose carefully what weapon he wanted to condense. Since it will evolve with him, he can pick two but it will split the power and the evolve rate will be slower. The evolution had no end, it will grow until its user dies. At night, Lee was reading about acupuncture. There were many parts that he didn¡¯t understand. Within Lee¡¯s memory, he could not find any knowledge about the book, as if Uncle Ro had plan this from the very beginning. Lee flip through pages, until he landed his eye on a particular page. ¡ºQi Needle: By exerting the flow of qi from one body onto the needle, one can transfer his qi to the patients¡¯ blood stream and nerve system. This is very dangerous method, but also crucial to saving a patient life. By controlling the qi that one¡¯s had injected to the patient¡¯s body. He then can eliminated foreign energy and dispel sickness. The QI Needle must be at the same level or stronger than the patient cultivation level, otherwise the patient Qi can destroy the needle. For those who are starting, using a silver thin needle is recommended. For expert doctors, they must be able to condense a needle from their own Qi. The Qi cannot be too violent which can kill the patient or too calm which will do nothing to help rid of the patient illness.¡» Lee was surprise, he did not know that acupuncture can be used in such a way, and what surprise him the most was Qi Needle. The last book he read was condensing a weapon. A needle can be consider a weapon? Lee wonder how a toothpick can penetrate a human tough skin or armor in battle. He knew if his cultivation is high he can somehow pierce a human skin, but only if they would let them. In battle his opponent will boost their defense or make their body tougher than steel, would they even give Lee a chance to shove a toothpick weapon into their body. At most he could defeat them if they laugh themselves to death. For now Lee put this in the back of his mind, and began heading to Uncle Ro resident to begin his next step of his training. As Lee step into Uncle Ro room, a strong smell hit his face. The odor had a strong medicine smell, it was so strong that Lee almost felt nauseated. Covering his nose he kept walking, until he final saw a tiny figure on the table. It was Uncle Ro. He signaled Lee to come over. As Lee walked towards Ro, he look around the room. There were many herbs, pots, pills, scrolls, and items that Lee could not determine. It was so clutter, that one would think this was a place where you dump all your useless junk. Behind where Uncle Ro was standing was four covered object, which seems to resemble a human size figure. It was covered in black from head to toe, that Lee could not see. However Lee stood to the notion that it might a puppet or a wood carving of a human made for martial arts training, instead of a log with sticks poking out. Uncle Ro let out a sinister smile as Lee sat in front of him. Lee wasn¡¯t pay attention to Ro smile. His eyes kept on focusing the unknown object behind Ro. ¡°Well let¡¯s begin our favorite topic, the human bodies, hehe not only human bodies are complex, as they continue to cultivate and depend on what technique they cultivate their external and internal bodies changes over time. However no matter how much their bodies change there are somethings that cannot be change.¡± Ro began to lecture Lee while walking towards the object. Shaw. The black fabric reveal two human size skeleton in pristine condition, the third object has yet to be reveal. Lee was a bit surprise, but not so much since his guess was close. Ro had told Lee that this was an actual human skeletons that he acquired long ago. One was male and the other was a female. He explain the difference and similarity between the two. What distracted Lee during this time was the third object. When Uncle Ro finally revealed it. Lee of course vomit. Never in his life had he seen something grotesque. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am still alive, my midterms are finally over however school is still stressing me out. My hours at work increase which I am sort of happy, and I got an internship. So I am mainly busy, hopefully by summer I can update the book more. Also I am starting a book which is not wuxia style it is more of western style. Thanks for reading. Chapter 10 – The Divine Beast Teaching (Part 3) So I will censor some cuss words, otherwise everything will remain the same. Finals are coming up soon. And I have started a book that is really great. Hopefully I can still update the book every two or three weeks. Thanks for reading. P.S. Any editor who likes to edit stuff, to improve their english or for fun, let me know thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A boy with a fair complexion was sitting at the table. He however was void of blood in his face and look extremely pale. If someone sees his current look they would think he was a ghost. This boy was none other than Lee who had vomited no more than fifteen minutes ago. The third object that Uncle Ro reveal was a human, devoid of skin. However one could see his inner muscles, and some places had arteries popping out of the muscles. Even Mei would faint seeing this sight. Uncle Ro however was in his own little world, he had paid no attention to Lee, for he was painting black circle on the skeleton before moving to next skeleton and doing the same thing. After no more than few seconds, Uncle Ro turn around and began his usual lecture. Uncle Ro comprehension on the human body was vast. He had explain that male and female skeletal structure was almost the same, the only few parts that were different were the hips, shoulder width, the chin bone, and few more places but in the end the human body was typically. Although the growth is different between the two, the human body hold the same pressure points. Uncle Ro then went into complete teacher mode. ¡°The human body have a total of 385 pressure points covering the entire body, whether is on your head or the bottom of your feet those specific places I have mark are pressure points. There are 32 major pressure point that you must know, this is crucial to your martial arts and also it can save you from certain danger.¡± Uncle Ro pointed the areas which was the throat, the heart, Septal Cartilage (nose), eyes, and other areas. ¡°These pressure point will help you in cultivating for qi energy, or it can create a qi blockage that can affect your cultivation and also your life. There are 14 main body meridians. Twelve paired meridians and two single meridians, the meridian pairs complement each other. Yin the energy that flows upwards, and yang the energy that follows downward. The acupuncture points or acupoints can help stimulate the meridian system and bring balance to yin, yang and qi. Of the 385 points, two-thirds are consider yang and the remaining are consider yin. This is also crucial, as you cultivate into a higher realm you have to make sure that you maintain balance otherwise the destructive force can internally kill you. However there are people with special bodies that can hold pure yang or pure yin, we called these type of people ¡®heaven chosen¡¯. However you did not need to know this for now. Now you will memorize the area from the skeletal structure and you will apply to this third body. This will help you in your journey later on, not only can you cure yourself or others, you can also breakthrough bottlenecks, acquire higher qi energy, suppress foreign qi and poison, and also by applying this to enemy you can cripple them, make the unable to perform any skills, or even kill them. This ancient arts is called Dim Mak or known as ¡®Death Touch¡¯. It is not widely known and have been lost through time as other martial arts replace this. However those pathetic fools couldn¡¯t possible understand the strength behind this. Even if you were to face god with this technique, even he has to wary about fighting you.¡± Uncle Ro knowledge was immense and filled Lee with not only surprise but excitement to know more. ¡°I as a cockroach, have it rough. Out of trillions of cockroach only 1% can break through certain level of cultivation and gain intelligence, however I was the only one out of my entire kin to made it into divine cultivation realm. How did I achieve this? Heh, survive, no matter how many times people kick you down or try to stomp you in order to kill you, you will remain strong and come back alive to fucking annoy the shit out of them.¡± Uncle Ro displayed himself with immense pride, Lee could imagine Ro being step on hundreds of times, and still be kicking around and coming back to annoy the people who hates cockroach, mainly the female at home. After the lecture Lee was given paint and a needle, to mark the areas and to accurate learn how to place the needle. Not to deep and not to shallow in certain area. Some area must apply strength, while other just a light tap and the needle will go in. Lee of course no longer need to read the book, as Ro implanted him the memories. What Lee needed was to apply the knowledge and gain experience. Reading can give him the insight, but it is not the same as actual practice. Lee would spend hours staring at the skeletal structure to memorize the pressure points, or he would practice using the needle. He would do this every day for the next four months. During this time Lee¡¯s Chronostasis eyes had activated without him knowing. The world did not turn gray. However it acquire the knowledge of the human body, the skeletal structure, the pressure points, and knowledge of acupuncture. Lee of course didn¡¯t know about this ability, but he was surprise to find out how quickly he had learn. For others it would take decades for Lee only four months. The Chronostasis in Lee¡¯s eyes flicker and faded. Though Lee hadn¡¯t master everything he learn as he needed more experience, however he was confident in his proficiency to apply to life. Lee felt cold, this was the first time he ever felt it, living in the cold mountains. It was possible do the excitement of his new life. ---------- Deep in a dark cave, a shadow figure appear under a small hazy light, illuminated by a glowing stone. The figure standing tall on all four legs, his fur was grayish white, he did not give any aura, his eyes were closed as he face toward the beast chain to the wall. This figure was none other than Uncle Mu. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. ¡°It¡¯s been so long old friend. Have you come to send me to the underworld? Or perhaps you seek something of me?¡± The beast laid there unmoving, he could hear Uncle Mu approach the cave from the outside. Nothing can escape his ears. ¡°No, I come to make an offer, a very special offer that would be tempting for you not to resist. In due time, I will send a young child here. He is your key to freedom.¡± Uncle Mu spoke calmly, ignoring the fact that beast was pretending to pay no heed to Mu existence. ¡°Hmph, don¡¯t try to trick me. If it wasn¡¯t for you that little girl would have freed me, and I would have kill her. Don¡¯t bother me, leave.¡± The beast was angry, but he did not reveal it in his tone. ¡°I see, whether you like it or not he will come. He will kill you, unless you can kill him first. My offer is for you to toy with him for one year, make him feel like an insignificant bug, make him suffer for one year before killing him. If you can do that I will release you, and you can do what you please. However if he kills you, then you are nothing but a pathetic beast.¡± After Mu gave his offer to the beast. He walk away and disappear from the cave, leaving no trace of his presence behind. The beast open his eyes and glare into the darkness looking at the light where Mu had stood before. After that he went back to mediating, while recalling the offer Mu had gave him. ---------- ¡°MOVE MAGGOT. FASTER, EVEN MY GRANDA WITH BROKEN LEGS CAN MOVE FASTER THAN YOU.¡± Uncle Ro was yelling at Lee. From a teacher to a drill sergeant, this transition shocked Lee.
