《Xiang Yao》 Prologue: The Azure Sky Continent Prologue: The Azure Sky Continent The Azure Sky Continent, the super continent, subsuming about Eighty Percent of the entire world of Noah. The entire piece of land, is governed by a union of twelve country headed, by the country of Mirage. Among these is the country of Eugine, one of the most influential and prominent country of the Union. It is ranked third in this regard, just falling behind Mirage and Utrhos. The area span of the Eugine, is estimated to be around 500 million km2, which also earns, it the title of smallest country, a pebble compared to the Azure Sky Continent, whose size is estimated to be a Quintillion km2. Yet, what earns it it¡¯s title of being one of the most prominent, is not it¡¯s military or power but, the Church of Light, which rules this country, consisting of the Peak Cultivators of the Mortal Realm who leads the church. Cultivation, is one of the most sought after, path by the inhabitants of Noah, yet only a selected few, who have an exceptional affinity, with the world, and the force are barely able to qualify to even practice cultivation. This is the reason despite the continent having a uncountable populace, and a near infinite number of resources, cultivators as rare as finding an ancient simulacrum of gold. But, owing to an extremely large populace, there are more than a trillion, cultivators in the entire continent. The world of cultivation is colossal. There are thousands upon thousands of techniques, to cultivate. Each has their good points, bad points and limitations. The path of cultivation is sub-divided to 10 Realms. For, every realm a bottleneck has to be broken, so as to attain next realm in cultivation. The real objective of cultivation is to attain immortality. Though, it sounds extremely easy to break through to the immortality, each subsequent realm in cultivation has a much harder bottleneck to break through. Roughly only two or three, immortals arise once a thousand years. Even the most powerless of cultivator, can decimate an entire city of mortals. Thus cultivators are worshiped by the mortals and looked upon with envy and jealousy. Envy, for their power, and jealously, for respect. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Unfathomable number of sects and clans comprises the entire Azure Sky Continent. Most of these sects and clans, are generally local, and engage in full-blown power struggles in their locality. For these, the concept of immortality is far too distant, and generally practice cultivation not, for attaining immortality, but amassing wealth and gaining a sphere of influence in their locality. This, world is not kind to the weak. Many, of the so called prodigies, born in smaller clans, are disposed of early, by the so called big clans. Thus, the surge of power in these small sects is quite slight, even after so many years. The bigger clans however revel in variety of aids, which increases the pace of cultivation, the so called cultivation aids. These clans, are thus able to improve their young generation at an extremely fast pace, and maintain their, sphere of influence even after so many years. Those, who offend these big clans, are generally hunted down and disposed. The strongest clan in a locality, generally rules that place. If, one wants to rule their locality, they would have to completely wipe out the ruling clan, which is an extremely common occurrence in Azure Sky Continent. Thus, even at local stage, the disputes are bloodcurdling. ____________________________________________________________________ Author¡¯s Note: This is an introduction, to the Azure Sky Continent. My English is not as good as your average American web novelist. I started this project, to improve my English, for various reasons. I¡¯m from India. Hope you like the story. Any criticism is welcome. I¡¯ll try to improve myself. Releases won¡¯t be regular, as I am a minor, in 12th standard, and have to study hard for University Entrance Exams, and boards. Releases, would be done as soon as I complete a chapter. ~Cheers~ Chapter 1: Prelude Chapter 1: Prelude ¡°Shoot!¡± cried an old man clad in black furs, as he hopelessly noted a youth covered in rags, rush inside the teleportation device. It was a pleasant day, and the old man had just stepped outside the wrecked barn to take a breather, when the youth took advantage of the situation and rushed inside the device. What a fool, he thought to himself. His carelessness has resulted, a captive to escape. He wished to follow him, however it was hopeless as god knows where in the world he teleported to. His eyes, filled with dread afraid of the consequences, if the high command was to know of this mistake. He was sure, that he would be punished acutely for this lapse. ¡°What happened?¡± a white silk robe clad youth, asked the old man. ¡°Young master! A youth tricked me and escaped into the teleporter!¡± he started sobbing as he explained. The White clad youth calmly asked, ¡°I hope his Dantian, has been crippled.¡± The old man nodded ¡°Yes, young master, I had crippled him the first day. Moreover, his memories also have been wiped out. I swear young master!¡± He anxiously said, ¡°Then what are you worried about? A mortal without his memories, what kind of threat he would possess to us?¡± the youth said. ¡°However, if such a mistake was to repeat again, I would myself take my time punish you.¡± The youth threatened. Somewhere; A youth crashed into a forest. A huge sound resonated throughout the forest, as he crashed with the ground. ¡°Urghh...¡± Where am I? Damn to lucky! What a nice day to escape. Who knew, that the old man would go out for a walk, the same time, I was able to open my shackles. ¡°Time to move¡±, the youth used his arms to push his body, and stood on his feet. He was boggled, as it felt strange to stand on his two feet. So this is what happens, if you don¡¯t stand on your own feet for an entire year. The youth started inspecting his body, when he found a character ¡®Feng¡¯ written near his biceps. So that is my name, huh¡ ¡°Growl¡± Hungry¡ Now where will I find food? Feng started walking towards the direction of the Sun, when he suddenly stopped, and hid his body in bushes. A goat huh¡ That will be a tasty meal. Is it me or is that goat oversized? Whatever, let¡¯s hunt. Feng rushed towards the goat, pulled his arms around the neck of the goat, and started to strangle it. The goat, in fury kicked on his guts. ¡°Holy!¡± That hurt like crazy. What¡¯s with this goat! Blood started coming out from the corner of his mouth, as the goat kept kicking him time and time again. However Feng didn¡¯t weaken his grip, and the goat succumbed to Feng and died. ¡°Man, this was some crazy goat.¡± So much blood! It better be tasty or I am going to be very mad. Feng started to dismantle the skin of the corpse. He kept aside the skin, to use it as a bed later on. While dismantling the corpse, he found a purple colored peal. The pearl was emanating a dark purplish glow. A small amount of dew was continuously dropping from the pearl. ¡°What is this? How could this pearl enter inside a goat?¡± He touched the surface of the pearl and found it smooth to the touch. He carefully stored some of the dew in his hand, and licked it. ¡°URGHHHH!!!¡± Terrible amount of pain jolted down his body. He felt as if his insides were melting and reforming. While Feng was only feeling the pain, his body was undergoing mind-blowing changes. His insides melted and reformed. They were far stronger and durable. His Dantian started to change its shape, it first took shape of a cube, then a sphere, a cuboid and after a long series of combinations of different shapes it turned to a shape, which looked like a sword. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. All of this took time to describe, but only a moment passed. What caused pain for, Feng was not the reforming of his organs, but the small amount of dew which remained after reforming, converting to ki and fusing with his Dantian. If the previous Feng was the pale, undernourished child, then this Feng looked quite muscular and healthy. As the pain started worsening, Feng had already passed out. Unknown to him, the pearl had disappeared and a tattoo of a dragon had appeared near his gut. Nearby, a carriage was speeding across the road. The door of the carriage was carved with the sign of Dukedom of Ensier. A teen-aged girl was sitting inside the carriage, along with two of her maids in front of her. Twelve guards were escorting the carriage, as security. ¡°Halt!¡± exclaimed the Teen-aged girl. ¡°We¡¯ll take rest here. Set up the tent¡¯s here.¡± She further commanded. ¡°As you order, young mistress Elia¡± a soldier said. Elia, further told, ¡°I¡¯ll be going for a second.¡± No good place, in this forest for pee¡, thought Elia. Hmmm¡ those bushes looks like a fine place. She sat near the bushes and did here work, when she suddenly yelled ¡°HELP!!!¡± , the nearby guards got alerted and rushed towards the source of the voice. ¡°My lady, what¡¯s the issue?¡± asked an old but well muscled guard, when she replied, ¡°Som-Someone is there ne-near the bushes Arthur¡¡± This old soldier was called Arthur McCray. He was one of the finest guards Ensier had. His entire body radiated extremely dense aura of death. He was covered in well toned muscles. Those, along with his tall height, made him look like a towering mountain. He gave off an illusion of a war beast, if looked at with a single glance. Arthur went towards the bushes, to catch whatever was hiding inside the bushes, where he saw the unconscious body of Feng. ¡°My lady, I have found an unconscious guy lying here. What should be done with him?¡± On further inspection of his well toned body, he found a tattoo of a dragon carved on his gut. He further said, ¡°My lady, this guy has a tattoo on his gut too¡¡± ¡°A tattoo!¡± exclaimed Elia. She further said ¡°My father told me, that Cultivators, usually carve their guts, with a tattoo. If he is a cultivator, we have strike a fortune. ¡°She further giggled said, ¡°And what a handsome fellow he is.¡± Arthur, nodded in agreement, and said, ¡°You are right my lady. We shall take esteemed cultivator with us. Who knows what benefits, he would grant us knowing we helped him.¡± A cultivator is a rare meet in a small dukedom like Ensier. The benefits, they may receive for assisting an esteemed cultivator, are far more worth, then finding ancient treasures them. Owing a favor to such a supreme being is always a great privilege. They decided, not to camp and immediately rush towards the dukedom. It was only a 30 minutes ride remaining to Dukedom, and they hoped that on reaching the dukedom they will be rewarded by the esteemed cultivator. And so they rushed towards the Dukedom. Author''s Note: Sup! I have deleted the previous chapter, because it was way too bad! Instead, this will be the new chapter.
Update Writing a new chapter! I almost wrote one but scrapped it off. It looked just like a draft, even after editing it for a while. I hope the small reader base, will be patient. I am trying to write as best as I can. IMPORTANT A few questions, you might have in your mind: Why the entire piece, looks way to generic. I agree on this one. If you ever read any translated work, like ISSTH or CD or ST, or COG or ATG or CSG etc. I have many element common from many translated Xianxia. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. The reason is not that I can''t think of an original plot but the thing is, I don''t think I''m ready to write something original. My delivery is not good at all. I would first improve my delivery! Update 2 Won''t be releasing for a while. I have started a program in school for English, they recently started the program and I opted to join. I will first improve myself, then present stuff to you. I think you guys prefer quality then quantity after all!
Actually, I was reading Stellar Transformation. Late I know and I realized, the English used in it is not really great. But, what mattered was the way it was presented to the users. I thus, decided to opt for the class in my school regarding creative writing. Writing in Hindi is much easy to me then in English. I have decided that I''ll research during my free-time on small things like good replacement words for ''said'' and stuff. This would ensure that it doesn''t feel awkward to read. However, if any of you guy comment me that, you guys want to see a release while I practice too I will be happy to oblige. I stopped writing it cause I feel, people don''t feel to much about it and so if I stop, just to practice and then write from chapter 2 again, however if there is someone who like''s to read this I''ll write it for them even if it is only one person.
