 The Rebirth

    Prologue


    In the world Tyron there existed within its core, at the maturity of its life; such a huge amount of energy that the planet could not contain it, eventually allowing the energy to explode out and bless the creatures within with a phenomenon capacity to wield this energy. Though this occurrence granted unimaginable power to many it cursed others as well. The least that happened to the unfortunate ones was becoming deformed while others grew insane.


    The suddenness of this pitched the world into chaos as also the land of Tyron split into three great continents which encircled the epicenter from which the energy originated. Many died from the energy itself and others were extinguished from the cursed ones as well as those that could not contain their power. At the time this happened the planet had existed for billions of years therefore the people were very technologically advanced which saved many though the energy surge caused many devices to malfunction.


    The animals gaining this huge boost in energy went on a rampage as well as the plants which grew like crazy turning humanity¡¯s world green. The whole planet had an abundance of energy and thus the planet itself gained a small conscious which fixed the many problems that occurred over the years.


    The world was in a state of panic and chaos and it was only after months that it was discovered that millions had simply evaporated into thin air, not a corpse could have been found. It was eventually put off as one of the many freak accidents that had occurred during what was labelled ¡®Rebirth,¡¯ as all were reborn that day. All three continents¡¯ humans had no time to deal with this as they were at war with the transformed animals and plants which as feared hated the humans for their callous treatment of them except for the loyal animals that they tamed.


    They also had to familiarize themselves with their new abilities and recognize the people who transformed into totally different races which caused more confusion. It was not to be mentioned the stupidity of some that wanted to take advantage of the situation and displayed their darker sides. The direr situation was the cursed ones, as some were not only insane they were also powerful which caused not a little death. After a thousand year war where neither side had the advantage the planet itself that had grown in intelligence put a stop to it by nearly causing the extinction of both sides as a warning for damaging it.


    After peace was established it took generations for humans to rebuild making sure that they were thoroughly environmentally friendly. After society was stable 1500 years after the Rebirth, people collectively of all races called themselves humans; they found a source of what was thought to be the reason for the disappearance of the millions of people. When an exploration team was going deep within one of the many underground facilities they found a perfectly round crack in space with a diameter of three centimeters. The crack was pitch black and had multiple cryptic symbols flashing multicolored light. This finding floored many people and was made top secret by the government that ruled that continent.

    For many years this mystery was researched, they tried many methods to open or even close the door to no avail.


    Within the door was another dimension, a tiny one created during the Rebirth. This dimension upon creation had released a massive vacuum which sucked in all living things within a radius of ten miles. It not only caused the disappearance it also saved the planet and its inhabitants itself as if not for it consuming a fifth of the energy released not only would the world have imploded upon itself, it would have harmed the nearby planets also. The energy consumed was used to create a galaxy within where the creatures captured were scattered about on the nine planets encircling the sun. As the energy was used in the creation of the mini-galaxy, it was not as abundant as on the planet Tyron.


    Millions of years passed after the events of the Rebirth and as the people of Tyron eventually forgot the gate buried deep within the soil, the people of the new dimension had forgotten their origin except for one. During the phenomenon of the Rebirth a scientist was conducting research within the lab of the gate. He, a brilliant man called David Anderson. He was standing directly in the position where the gate opened and so was not only sucked into the dimension; he became one with it fusing with it. For the past millions of years he slept as the fusion nearly extinguished his soul. As he awoke his memories slowly revived making him realize the situation he was in.


    He was no longer human he was a dimension and as he was it he could control it. For years he nearly went insane with the idea of what he had become and what he could do with the power. He tried time and time again to separate with the dimension, to return to his home, his family and then again nearly fell into the abyss as he realized the passage of time the faith of his family had forever been completed. In the end he came to the conclusion that in order to escape the faith of slowly going insane as he could not be free whether through escape or dead, he needed help.


    Thousands of years passed as he accustomed himself to controlling the dimension, planned and experimented. In this time he tried multiple times to open the gate but could not as massive power was needed to do so. In the meantime he watched the beings inhabiting the eight worlds, living, working, playing, multiplying and eventually dying. He watched their simple lives in envy, envy of even the most natural of things, death denied to him. In moments, he manipulated their lives and in glee watched their despair or joy according to his mood.


    Also in times of madness he would sink a whole continent and watched the ants scramble for their lives. Existing this way he was no longer what he once was he had become a being only driven by the need for freedom in whatever form.

    Chapter 1


    The Game

    ¡°What the hell is going on?!¡± Tim Griffin exclaimed. He¡¯s been sitting in the darn meeting room for a whole seven days with no coffee, he was bound to explode. The darn astronomer smiled patiently at him and his colleagues while continuing to explain.


    ¡°Ok, well as I was going to say Mr. Vice President we are not sure how this is happening but a planet has been forming for the past seven days right outside our solar ring and has just completed.¡±


    ¡°We have done tests and it is indeed a planet though the energy readings are off the charts,¡± explained Oliver whatever his name was.


    At this point Tim was having a severe headache and the lack of sleep was going to be the least of his problems when he had to explain this to the President. His term had just started and he could already feel his hair falling off. Apparently a miracle was happening he just hoped it had nothing to do with them. But of course the fast sons of an itch would make it their business when the found out, they would want to investigate off course and all the work would fall on his lap, democratic country his ass.


    ¡°Some energy signatures are unknown to us at the moment and the world is ten times bigger than Earth,¡± as he said that he showed us the recorded images of how the world formed.


    Suddenly everything just stopped; Oliver became a statue along with the rest of the world as it became painted in shades of black and white.


    ¡°Hello there people, David talking here and I want u all to help me with something I have been working on for years, heh heh,¡± the voice in echoed all around him and Tim swore he saw and felt the vibrations of it moving through the stilled air.


    ¡°I want you all to prepare for a game I have come up with and off course there are prizes just as the losers won¡¯t be happy im sure the winner will but if u don¡¯t want to participate YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED JUST LIKE THIS,¡±


    Suddenly the world began to move again but before they could delight in the freedom of it everyone begun to feel extreme pain. Tim knew he was not alone at that moment of being slowly disintegrated as he heard the screams of anguish all around him as they melted. Tim could feel his skin peeling of him to dorm a puddle of flesh around him while his had practically worked overtime to needlessly rush blood to the already useless skin.

    Rule 5: Participants must be brought on the chosen date at the portal to be transported


    Rule 6:  Participants can only bring their weight in goods


    Prizes are, it going to be good folks: all the resources of the losing worlds will be available used by the winner¡¯s world meaning all eight losing worlds will be enslaved by the winner¡¯s world.

    As he or it said that the world gained colour again while a timer was seen at the top of Tim¡¯s vision. Tim sat there in absolute shock for what felt like hours the he looked down at his arm.


    ¡°Well at least I will have baby smooth skin now,¡± then he begun to laugh not a laugh of joy but of plain insanity.

    It felt surreal how quickly everyone lost a screw in their heads the minute time began again not that im one to judge as I almost lost my mine too. Everything just went to hell after what is now called by the religious folks, God¡¯s Whisper. Apparently we went through different experiences that day because to me that was more like the devil¡¯s whisper.


    Anyways, you know how in those movies where so disaster happens and that is not the problem the people are. Well I hid real well because mass panic occurred and believe me you would not want to be outside when it did.


    Everywhere in the world stores were robbed, people were fleeing, where, who knows, people were preaching, and the best yet the event that happened gave many the excuse the needed to do unsavory things. The governments of the world deplored their armies to calm the masses as well as consistently over the media told people to calm down.


    The world was in a state of an emergency where all knew who the enemy was but could do nothing but follow his will or face otter extinction. As the saying goes, ¡®The enemy of my enemy is my friend,¡¯ all countries had to put aside their differences and work together of become one of the worlds that is at the mercy of the winner¡¯s world. And really after things calmed down every greedy soul in power were rubbing their hands in glee at the benefits and were willing to do anything to win.

    The Alliance did not know what the games were going to be so they decided to create of specialize people in all careers. Firstly though, they had to correct society to fit their needs. They made a team comprised of experts to come up with a clear and concise way to develop a powerful and intelligent generation that could win what they were sure was going to be quite a hard ¡®game.¡¯


    In the next few years there was a massive explosion of new discoveries in various fields as they were funded not only by the Alliance but also companies that had almost obsessive interest in the resources. Human genetics were being manipulated constantly as to find a way to make them stronger and smarter. Technology evolved every day to make things more efficient, compact and faster. The school system also changed to suit the needs of society.


    All in all Earth¡¯s destiny was changed by the one Whisper of Insanity.

    Teacher POV


    ¡®That child has been eyeing me like im a fine piece of steak in front of a starving lion, im a little uncomfortable here, maybe I should step to the side a little, yes¡­¡­¡­ yes, those daggers are following me, who is she¡­¡­or he anyways, oh Raven?¡¯ The poor teacher shook a little as she continued to teach the 35 seven year old children about basic mathematics while feeling a bit chilled.


    MC POV


    ¡®I want it, want it, want it sooooooo badly I can barely hold on, it¡¯s so sparkly, pretty and big yeah I like no love big things I can¡¯t wait to touch it, I can right, yes, no, yes, no it¡¯s bad to touch whats no yours Raven stop, but it¡¯s so pretty maybe for a little while,¡¯ Raven could feel some drool dipping down her chin as she ogled the ring on her teacher¡¯s finger whose name escaped her.


    ¡®Okay im going to borrow, yes borrow it for a little while but I need to stop looking so suspicious, though at least it¡¯s nice someone has looked at me thrice today that¡¯s a record hahahaah,¡¯ Raven was giggling to herself as she stopped eyeballing her teacher and looked at the board then instantly became sleepy.

Her head started to ache as she listened so instead she ignored her and started to plan out her strategy to getting to her pretty toy.


    One torturous hour later the long hand fixed itself on the twelve and the heavenly bells rang. One thing she thanked herself for doing was learning to read time. She rose with the flock of students and left the class while blending in perfectly to the rhythm. As she passed the teachers desk she quickly tripped one of the students then moved back in time with the crowd as the Maya landed face first.


    Mrs. quickly approached Maya and as she did Raven smoothly slid the ring off her finger and into her own pocket. Smiling she emerged herself into the concerned crowd and acted alongside them in trying to help up her helper or should she say victim.


    The crowd quickly dispersed as an embarrassed Maya rose and fled to whichever class she had next. Glowing inside Raven gently stroked her prize while perfectly pacing alongside her peers and carefully controlling her features to be the norm of the hallway.


    She wasn¡¯t a thief, she was just a dedicated collector, like those people who go in unknown areas and bring back artifacts. Yes, she giggled, inside of cause a now natural ingrained instinct to remain unseen, she was only collecting not stealing Mrs. will get a new one in no time.

She had not always been this good; the first time she stole two years ago was not pretty, not at all. Raven frowned as she remembered, it was the first time anything had caught her eye, and it was one of those new lifelike Barbie dolls that could move, talk and play with her. She passed it every day on her way to the dorms with her friends, Maggie and Danna where everyone at the ages of four to eight had to live. All children had to be admitted into schools at the age of four and live in dorms which she found quite inhumane.     Raven had to shake her head at her young self who had forgotten to observe if anyone was around to report her mischievousness much less the owner whom she might add was very longwinded. After that incident Raven was tempted yet again with a huge Barbie doll house, the car came next, and then she was hungry for an expensive looking lollipop.


    The list went on, after many failed attempts Raven knew she had to make a choice, her popular good two shoes lifestyle or take a walk on the dark side.


    Raven walked into her next class, glanced at the teacher, saw it was her physics teacher and then went straight back down memory lane, not like he would notice anyways, she smirked. Well walking on the dark side is hard work, still is as she still had plenty of practice and research to do. Anyways to achieve her goals Raven became an obsessive freak that skipped classes, except the espionage types; too much to count.


    Raven had first gone to the library and borrowed as much books on the topics of spying, assassination and yes stealing. All these books were surprisingly easily obtainable as the world was not raising them to live in normal society but in the game world. She had even searched the internet to find the best methods to feed her obsession with things that weren¡¯t hers. For a year Raven had studied and practiced as well as stalked strangers throughout the school.


    ¡®My friends abandoned me, I can¡¯t believe they abandoned me, I know I was too engrossed in my hobby but still they were traitors!!¡¯ she couldn¡¯t even get revenge cause they would have known it was her unfortunately.


    Her friends letting her go was like cutting her ties to the last of her humanity, she was being a bit overdramatic but still it was her head. Smiling a bit sadly to herself, Raven recalled the tears, screaming and tantrums she pulled off for a full week straight then an immediate silence that she was sure was quite eerie to everyone in the building.


    Staring blankly at the boring teacher Raven was remembering how she slowly made herself fade into the background until it was nothing more than second nature to her. She was a shadow of the masses always there but forever ignored until she made herself heard.


    ¡®When I feel like showing myself to the world they will surely be in for a little surprise, but until then my precious little things mummy¡¯s coming to get you hehehehe.¡¯
