When she awoke, she was in the middle of a plaza that was filled with greenery. The houses were covered in plants, some were even made from plants. Just like her, there were others on the ground, a lot of them, and all of them had transparent wings. They were all fairies, and all of them were players. Today is Zanaria Online¡¯s grand opening, it literally hasn¡¯t been an hour when it opened. As Rina stood up, more people popped out in the plaza. She looked around, in the city in the middle of a forest, with trees so large that the peak couldn¡¯t be seen, with leaves so wide that it could cover a whole court. Excited, Rina walked out of the plaza to look around the city. Zanaria Online is the first virtual reality game in the whole world, making every experience inside it completely new to Rina. New in an interesting and positive way. While walking in the plant city, with her jet black hair fluttering as the winds blew past her, she called upon a screen. ¡°Options¡±

Just from the small movement of her stats, her hazel eyes beamed. A small smile appeared on her charming face, as she walked around with nothing but a green dress made from leaves, tightly fitted around her slender and toned body. As she got to the edge of the city, she saw fairy npcs, wearing steel armor, guarding the entrance of the city. Just outside, she could see other players, battling monsters, like what one would see in a fantasy world. It hasn¡¯t been long, but the beginner grounds were already filled, arrows were flying from left to right, some jumping to the enemy with their knives in hand. There were already those that formed small groups, some wanting to be alone, and some unbelievably laid on the ground, lifeless for they were killed by the weakest mob. Rina wondered how they died when it would take a dozen or more hits from the weakest mob to die. While she stood, more people came out of the entrance, all filled with smiles, all excited for their first experience of fantasy life. Before she came out, she called upon the option screen, but this time she clicked cash shop.

She chose swordsman, and a different screen appeared, a screen where she can design how the mercenary looks like. Mercenaries are like characters, with the exception of them being bots instead of players. They can level up, they can rank up, they can enter parties and guilds, they can do almost everything a player could, except for reviving after death and a few others. Once they die, the only way to save them is by a resurrection spell. If they can¡¯t find anyone that can revive them, their data will be lost forever. Mercenaries also have benefits, like they are loyal to their owner, they get exp from partying, but their owner¡¯s exp doesn¡¯t get reduced. When there are two members in a party, the exp will be divided in to two. If the other member is a mercenary, the mercenary would get half the amount of exp, but the player still gets the same exp like he/she would when he/she goes solo. Even if there are two mercenaries, the mercenaries will get a third of the exp, but the owner will still get the full amount. When she finished creating her mercenary, a screen popped out.

After she entered Decima, a woman appeared beside Rina. The woman was two inches taller then her, with dark skin, slender and toned body, fiery red hair, and dark eyes with golden pupils, wearing a set of dark blue clothes. ¡°Master¡± Said the woman with horns sprouting out from the back of her head. Rina stretched her hands to the woman¡¯s head and patted her. The woman smiled as her black, pointy tail waved from side to side like a puppy. The other players looked at them who was still standing near the entrance. One from the demon race appearing in the village of fairies could only mean one thing, it¡¯s a mercenary, and the one near her is a rich person. That scene alone would cause a lot of jealousy, for the mercenary was beautiful, but that was averted since Rina herself was a beauty. She activated the other mercenary, this time she chose an elven magician, designed as a large breasted, blonde elf whose name is Nona. She had a slightly plump body and pinkish white skin, covered in white robe. With her clear blue eyes, she stared at Rina with anticipation. When Rina patted her head like she did with Decima, her cheeks became red as she said. ¡°Ehehe, master.¡± Seeing that, Decima pouted and glared at Nona. Rina was surprised that bots could have such reactions, like they were really alive and it made her smile. As she patted Nona, she reached Decima¡¯s head and also patted her, making her tail wave again. Everyone was surprised, not only did she have a demon mercenary, she even has an elf mercenary. She has two mercenaries and it hasn¡¯t even been a day since the game started. It hasn¡¯t even been two hours. Everyone agreed, she wasn¡¯t rich, she was filthy rich, but it didn¡¯t matter, since all three of them looked cute together. When Rina stopped, she opened one of the beginner set, and another screen popped out.

She picked her class, which is Rogue. She opened the other sets and chose her mercenaries¡¯ class. As the three walked out of the city to search for a place to grind at, every player, who played the beta version, opened the cash shop, to calculate just how much Rina spent. All in all, Rina spent 128,028.00 yen or 1,184.57 dollars. It took a few minutes before the liveliness in the beginner grounds returned to normal, but they would forever remember the player who spent a lot of money right from the get go. Chapter 2: Grinding With OP Equipment As the three entered a different zone, a screen popped out.

Unlike the name, the zone was green, except for the large red apes moving atop the trees. This is the third zone they entered, the first two being the rain forest and the beginner grounds. Rina stared at one of the apes, until a screen popped out.

She made a small nod to herself as she said. ¡°Let¡¯s start here.¡± ¡°As you wish master.¡± Said Decima as she grabbed the sword on her waist. ¡°Yessu master!¡± Said Nona as she saluted. ¡°Nona, pull one mob using fire ball.¡± Nona pointed her rod to one of the apes and recited the spell. ¡°Fire ball!¡± A ball of flames at the size of a fist was sent to a blood ape. ¡°Decima, stay with Nona.¡± Said Rina as she ran to the blood ape that¡¯s running to them. The ape¡¯s target was Nona, so it ran past Rina, who then stabbed it from the back. ¡°Nona, fire another one and walk closer. Decima, stay in front of her!¡± Nona sent another fire ball to the ape, making it confused as who it should hit. Slowly, they surrounded the ape, with Nona being the farthest from it. When Decima got closer, Rina started ordering her to attack, while she ran around stabbing the ape in different places. Rina and Decima got hit a few times, but they weren¡¯t damaged much, because before they got there, Rina used legend stone on all their equipment, making their set equivalent to a level thirty five set. They surpass the ape in power, but since they¡¯re still at level one, they don¡¯t have good skills yet, so it took time to take down one blood ape. They defeated the ape three minutes after they pulled it. As soon as it vanished, coins and materials dropped on the ground, and Rina heard eleven consecutive bell sounds, indicating eleven level ups. She could only hear hers, so she opened the party screen to check the other two¡¯s level.

The other two only gained three levels, but it didn¡¯t surprise Rina. They got around 33.33% of the exp, while she got 100% which became 200% because of the premium kit. ¡°Hmhmhm, praise me master.¡± Said Nona. Decima was silent, but her anticipating look made it obvious she also wanted to be praised. ¡°Good work, Nona, Decima.¡± ¡°Ehehe¡± Decima remained silent, but her tail waved around. The baby dragon that was flying above them landed, and looked at Rina like it also wanted to be praised despite not doing anything but fly above them. Rina simply smiled and patted the baby dragon¡¯s head, which made it fly and circle around the sky from happiness. It could also attack like mercenaries, but that¡¯s when it¡¯s fully grown. While it¡¯s still an infant, it¡¯s only purpose is being a decoration. Rina picked up the drops of the blood ape and said. ¡°Ok you two, let¡¯s continue grinding.¡± ¡°As you wish master.¡± ¡°Yessu master!¡± The three defeated monsters one by one and went further inside the blood forest, meeting mobs beside the blood apes. With majority of the players still in the beginner grounds and a few on the rain forest, they have the whole blood forest for themselves. There might be other pay-to-win players in the zone, but it won¡¯t be enough to fight over grinding spots. ___

With a slightly blushed face, she said. ¡°Thank you master. I¡¯ll wear it forever.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t, you have to wear a better ring once your level get¡¯s higher.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯ll treasure it.¡± The baby dragon landed, waiting for Rina to give him something. ¡°Sorry Ragus, I don¡¯t have anything to give you.¡± This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. With crafting equipment, finding party members, and grinding out of the list, Rina¡¯s only problem now is completing quests, starting from level one quests, up to her level twenty five job change quest. Her build as a rogue is final, there is nothing more to change, now all that awaits is for her to take her job change quest. One of the things a mercenary can¡¯t do is taking quests. They don¡¯t have any quests, and when they need a job change, their owner will have to do it for them. After her job change, Rina still has to take the first job change quest twice, but unlike hers which has a lot of prerequisite quests, she can take the main job change quests instantly after the two reaches level twenty five. When they reached rain forest, there were more people. It was not crowded yet, but it should be soon. Everyone was surprised to see someone with two mercenaries and a pet, the three even had glowing equipment that¡¯s emitting aura, meaning they¡¯re equipment are enchanted. Rina wore a red garb and a scarf, with red glow and aura; Decima wore a silver armor, with white glow and aura; and Nona wore a gray robe, with dark glow and aura. Ragus was simply naked, since he¡¯s a dragon. With the thickness of the aura around them, beta players were sure they had +9 or +10 equipment. The people stopped and stared at them as they walked back to the beginner grounds. Some injured by the mobs from getting distracted, and some injured by their girlfriends because of jealousy. Once they got to the city, Rina took her first chain quests, and for her, it is the hardest and most annoying chain quest of all.

Chapter 3: Rinas Childhood Friend F2P: Can only grind based on the level of their set, so they can¡¯t continuously focus on grinding. After getting to a certain level mark, they have to spam dungeons for their level to craft sets, then grind up to where their new set could take them. P2W: Since they already have sets that are a lot stronger compared to those of their level, they can focus on grinding. This puts a wide margin between them and F2P players.(F2P players have to spam dungeons every ten levels or so, and dungeons don¡¯t give exp) __________ Rina was surprised that even npcs are realistic, and more surprised that Decima¡¯s personality turns the other way around when interacting with other people. Decima thinks that everyone else aside from them are inferior. Nona on the other hand was ok with the fairies, since they are a race that doesn¡¯t influence the advancement of innovations that defile the world, but said she hates the other races. She even bad mouthed the humans unintentionally when she mentioned technology. Rina is now talking with the chief of fairies for the final part of Talking to the citizens chain quest. ¡°I hereby declare Morta as a citizen of Denla city.¡±

He signed and said. ¡°I hate my job.¡± ¡°Good luck chief.¡± Said Rina as she walked out of his quarters. ¡°Bye chief!¡± Said Nona as she waved her hand before following Rina. Decima glared at the chief, sending chills to his spine, before walking outside. Now that Rina has finished the quests, she checked the time.

Since she still has time, she decided to take the next quest. There are two types of quests, one is the main quest, which Rina is taking. One needs to complete them to gain access to different zones and dungeons, and to job change. The other is called side quest or favor from other npcs. It can give exp, money, items, and cheap sets for those that can¡¯t craft or buy one from the stores. Rina doesn¡¯t need those since she could buy sets in the cash shop, get exp from grinding with her mercenaries, and buy consumable items from npc stores with the money she gains from grinding. The only things she has to work hard for were sets stronger than level seventy five sets. Sets up to level twenty five can be bought in stores, but anything higher than that needs to be crafted, and the materials needed aren¡¯t so easy to get. Since the strongest cash shop set covers only up to level seventy five, she has to craft stronger sets. She can¡¯t use her money on that. Even if she reach level one hundred, it would take a while for F2P players to reach them. On her guess, it might even take half a year. Only she and a few P2W players could spam level one hundred dungeons to craft their sets, and she can¡¯t buy materials from those that also need materials. They could trade materials they don¡¯t need though. With them being the only ones with thick vapor coming from their equipment, every player, both beta player or new player, were looking at them. Some people wanted to talk to Rina, some with good intentions, some with bad, but Decima¡¯s intense glare kept them away. She doesn¡¯t want inferior creatures around her master. When they reached the east entrance of the city, Rina stood in line, to wait her turn to talk to the npc. Decima and Nona stood beside her, and Ragus sat near her. Around 7:46 am, her turn came and as she greeted the npc, a screen appeared.

After that, they went around finishing main quests, mercilessly killing weak mobs, that couldn¡¯t even damage them, with their glowing equipment. Chapter 4: First Job Change Zanaria Online Dungeon Concept: Spoiler : Dungeons are special zones that doesn¡¯t give exp. Aside from the final boss, there are other bosses that can be encountered in a dungeon. Final bosses drop accessories, while sub-bosses drop materials, and of course the drop rate is low. Dungeons are large, so for every boss killed, a save point will be created. It can be used to go out and restock, but it can only be used once. Once the party enters from the save point, it will vanish. I want everyone to know that exp and gold from quests are also affected by the the premium kit. Also, only Morta(Rina) can get exp from quests. __________ Inside a wide cave with torches embedded on the walls, in front of a large steel gate, was Morta, Decima, Nona, and an adolescent Ragus, now at the size of an adult human. It took three days to actually finish all main quests up to the job change quest. Majority of the time was wasted on running back and fort to finish quests, they even used teleport gates. Now they are in front of the gate leading to the final boss of Rogroth Cave, a level twenty five dungeon. After making Decima, Nona and Ragus drink potions, Rina checked their stats.

Soon, it jumped out, so high that it reached the ceiling, leading them to have a view of its whole body. It was definitely not just twenty five feet, not thirty, not forty, but fifty feet tall. From it¡¯s body, small worms at the size of an adult human dropped to the ground. There were around fifteen. ¡°Decima! Ragus! Protect Nona! Nona keep firing at the boss!¡± Said Rina as she slashed one of the smaller worms. From the moment she shouted, it took twelve seconds before the boss hid underground. At that time, Nona fired two fire balls, and she deduced where the boss will fall and was able to hit it thrice. While the boss was moving underground again, they cleared the small worms. She checked the party screen before the boss appeared again.

She didn¡¯t use any skill, since she doesn¡¯t have any that could be used against a boss. Her stun trap doesn¡¯t work on it. All she can rely on are her normal attacks and critical chance. It¡¯s easy to see that she has the weakest class. She has to stare at Ragus for five seconds before his stats show up, so before she saw, the boss appeared again. ¡°Nona! Start shooting!¡± When the worm reached the air, there was no mobs that spawned, instead, the boss¡¯ body fell to the ground. Ragus was able to evade, Rina¡¯s evasion kicked in, but the other two was hit by it. It was far from killing Nona, but Rina can¡¯t risk having her die. As the damage dealer, healer, and the most squishy of them all, Nona has to stay at full health all the time. And Nona, Heal Ragus!¡± The boss was supposed to get stronger once it¡¯s hp drops to fifty percent, then next is at twenty five percent, and lastly, at ten percent. They went past all those and reduced the boss¡¯ hp from seventy to one percent, and now its entering it¡¯s desperate state. The ground cracked, and from the ground, three black worms at the size of an adult human appeared. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. Rina didn¡¯t know what the boss does, since the bosses are different for each race, and she wasn¡¯t a fairy in the beta. It did more than three hundred damage to Decima who had the highest defense. Thinking that, the black worms could have latched to Nona and killed her in an instant, Rina felt a chill on her spine. ¡°We did it!¡± Said Nona as she happily jumped. Rina walked closer, and the other three did to. She hugged all of them to calm herself down. Nona is still alive, and even if she died, I could just buy anothe- She closed her eyes as she tightened her hug. She erased the negative thoughts, and moments later, she released them. Decima was staring at her, with expressionless face, standing straight like a soldier, but with her tail waving around showing her happiness. Nona looked down, touching her cheeks with her hands as she laughed. ¡°Ehehe¡± Ragus flew and circled above them. They were all bots, but in those four days with them, interacting and seeing their reactions, Rina softened up to them. After checking her equipment, Rina looked for a target in the beginner grounds. The place was as crowded as ever, and as silent as ever since Rina¡¯s party was there. Once she saw a mob not being targeted by other players, she said. ¡°Weapon throw.¡± Her body felt the urge to throw the weapon, and she did with her body being guided on how to. She threw the sword that¡¯s half a meter tall, with black colored blade, with a dark glow and black vapor oozing out of it. The target died instantly after being hit, but Rina still used another skill. ¡°Weapon dash.¡± Instantly, she appeared in front of the mob¡¯s vanishing corpse. The others were amazed since most of them were new players that didn¡¯t know about the skills Rina used. With the skill¡¯s low cooldown, Rina tried weapon throw on another mob, this time she awaited what happens if she doesn¡¯t pick up the sword she threw. After it hit the enemy, the sword automatically appeared on Rina¡¯s hand. When she activated weapon dash, it still teleported her to the mob. Lastly, she tried assault, and her body was guided to slash the enemy thrice with blinding speed. After getting satisfied with her skills, she returned to the city to finish her current main quest. She walked, with dark cloth covering her body and a long scarf that reaches down to her waist, that emitted black vapor. On her back, near her rear was a horizontally placed short sword along with it¡¯s scabbard. Her jet black hair was hidden under the scarf that covers half her face, making only her hazel eyes and everything above visible. There was a childish smile on Decima¡¯s face as she proudly stared at her master. Nona beamed as she thought of her master as an awesome existence. Ragus was just flying above them like always, simply happy that he¡¯s near his master. They went to the south entrance, where Rida was standing guard. Since Rida doesn¡¯t give much quests, they were only a few on the line making Rina¡¯s turn come quickly.

After she accepted it, they stared walking to the south, bidding farewell to the first city they ever stayed at. Directly out of the south entrance was also a beginner grounds, but further was a zone that can only be traversed if the player has the Fairy Insignia. Her mercenaries and pets are a different story, they can go to wherever their master goes to, so they can enter even without it. As Rina touched the transparent wall separating the beginner grounds and the new zone, a screen appeared.

When she clicked yes, they were transferred to another zone, and as Rina opened her eyes, she saw an empty and dried land, with winds carrying sands, with cracks on the ground, and with the sun shinning brighter compared to the other zones. Monster around are mostly large scorpions and eagles.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Behind her was also the same scenery, but she can¡¯t go there since a transparent wall that leads back to the beginner grounds was blocking it. It was also the same with the rain forest. Once you enter you¡¯re in the middle of a forest, but there was also a transparent wall connecting the rain forest and beginner grounds. All zones are separated like that, with the exceptions of beginner grounds which are in the same zone as cities. ¡°It¡¯s hot.¡± Said Nona. Pain sensitivity is greatly reduced, but all five senses are fully functioning. They can feel the heat of the wasteland and the equipment they wore, smell the mixed scent of the land and mobs, hear the movements around them, and taste some of the sand that was brought by the wind. Rina felt the heat, and it annoyed her, but no sweat formed on her body. There are bodily functions that are taken away that could hinder the game, and sweating is one of them. The five senses itself may also be hindering the game, so the creators may add an option that let¡¯s people adjust their senses or toggle a bodily function that they want to feel. Rina checked the time.

They always have to stay with Rina, but that doesn¡¯t mean they have the same mobility as her. Rina has to wait for them while traveling, or she could just log out and log in to instantly summon them near her. There were mobs around them, but the mobs didn¡¯t attack them, since aggression control was active. It nullifies all aggression of mobs around them, making the mobs ignore them until the mobs are attacked. Just like in the blood forest, they had all the mobs for themselves. They walked farther and once they found a good place to grind, Rina deactivated aggression control. ¡°Decima, pull as much mobs as you can.¡± ¡°As you wish master.¡± Said Decima as she ran around getting the mobs¡¯ attention. Rina stayed with Nona and Ragus, to fend of the mobs that target Nona. After a few minutes, Decima came back with a large group of scorpions and eagles. ¡°Ragus! Nona!¡± At Rina¡¯s signal, Nona sent a fire ball, which could reduce a mob¡¯s hp by 80%. Ragus flew around breathing flames, dealing continuous damage to all enemies. Rina jumped and used weapon throw on the mob in the middle, and used weapon dash. Once she was in the middle, she randomly used normal attacks on enemies. Rina, Decima, and Nona all have single target skills, so Ragus did doing most of the work in clearing the mobs. Chapter 6: Rinas Butler After checking my notes and rereading from chapter 1, I noticed I miscalculated some hp and mp, and some level gain. I fixed them but it doesn¡¯t really change the story. I also fixed some grammar errors, though I''m sure there''s still some. Clarifications: Spoiler : To those wondering why the party¡¯s hp and mp were low on chapter two, the party didn¡¯t have potions with them while grinding. They did go out without buying you know. They only relied on their natural hp and mp regeneration. __________ Though she was late, the old man wasn¡¯t in her room when she awoke, making her surprised since the old man has always been on time even when he was ill. Rina stood up, and as she opened the door and peeked at the corridor, she saw the old man walking to her room. Her actions are largely influenced by the time she was kidnapped and the time her parents were killed by their own servants. She starts with body strengthening, which focuses on mobility, since the best way to protect oneself is to run. Rina runs around the mansion twice then proceeds to the mansion¡¯s gym. She only lift weights enough to move every part of her muscles, unlike body builders who lift weights to create tears on fiber and tissues of their muscles, making them stronger once the muscles rebuild. Next is martial arts, which is taught by the old man who¡¯s well versed in both striking and grappling. After ending it with a spar they take a break and eat lunch. At around 2:00 pm, Rina trains in swimming and parkour for about two hours and takes a small rest for afternoon snack. The rest of the day is spent with Rina being taught different information that can help her survive in any situation, like gun shooting, driving different vehicles, and even identifying poisons. In other words, she spends most of her time with the old man, who for her is already her grandfather. Though the old man gets angry when he¡¯s called that. She trains twice every three days, except for days when Ren is out of his laboratory. The old man knows of Rina¡¯s affection towards Ren and he wants to support her, but he only tries to push the two together. He doesn¡¯t want to interfere much, since he wants Rina to achieve her happiness through her own efforts. Though he also tries to give Rina other choices, since he at least want to see her have a family before dies. When Rina finished her studies with Sebas, the old man, she went to the lounge on the ground floor, a room away from the dinning hall. The room was big enough to fit a hundred, but only she and Sebas were there, waiting for the food prepared by the android butlers. There were only three people inside the mansion, Rina, Ren, and Sebas. There were more in the past, but were replaced by Ren¡¯s androids which he said were much more efficient and won¡¯t betray the Takahashi family like the other money hungry ones. While sitting on a sofa waiting for the food, Rina asked. ¡°You really don¡¯t want to try Zanaria Online? Along the way, they met a female archer accompanied by two elven males that were identical to each other, wearing clothes that resembled Nona¡¯s, with the same glow and aura. There was also a bird with burning feathers flying above them, which was obviously a phoenix. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. The female archer was a P2W player. The two magicians were her mercenaries, and the phoenix was her pet. She had gray hair and green eyes uncommon for japanese citizens, with good looking face, and slender body, wearing emerald colored set, emitting light green aura. Rina wanted to avoid the archer, but when the archer saw her, she ran to Rina while waving her hand and saying. ¡°Wait!¡± Rina couldn¡¯t avoid them, so when they got closer, she said. ¡°So why did you call me?¡± ¡°Since you¡¯re the first player I¡¯ve seen with two mercenaries like me, I want to add you to my friend list.¡± Since the archer was also a P2W player, and Rina will benefit with having her as a friend, especially when Rina starts trading materials in the future, she said. ¡°So it¡¯s just that.¡± ¡°So you¡¯re ok with it?¡± ¡°I have nothing to lose anyway.¡±

After a few moments of staring at the screen, Rina and the others also went back to level grinding. She doesn¡¯t know if it was the best choice to add an unknown player, but it¡¯s surely not the worst. Just like before, they¡¯ll find a spot brimming with monsters, deactivate the aggression control, make Decima pull the mobs, and once the mobs are gathered, they¡¯ll kill it. They slowly moved further as they did. They continued grinding like that, and at 12:01 am, a screen appeared in front of Rina.

Rina tapped Decima¡¯s shoulder and said. ¡°Come on, let¡¯s go.¡± Rina walked out, followed by Nona and Ragus, and once again, Decima glared at the chief. After that, they went to the city¡¯s teleport gate and went to the fairy settlement in the middle of sinder wasteland. ___ Situated in the middle of the wasteland, only half as big as Denla city, with dirty looking houses made from dried trees, filled with warrior looking fariy npcs, was the fairy settlement. Desipte it being smaller, the places was spacious since there were only five players staying there, Rina, Kiting101, and three other fairy race players. Those who know what they¡¯re doing are around level fifteen, while those that don¡¯t are below ten. Unlike P2W players who can grind at zones with mobs higher leveled than them, the normal players can only grind at zones with mobs of the same level or lower. Because they¡¯re partying, the exp is divided, and so is the gold, leading them to have problems buying potions or sets. Without potions, they can only rely on healers, but majority of the fairies pick rogue or archers, so they can¡¯t find one. Rina didn¡¯t give Decima and Nona their sets and hasn¡¯t fixed their new skills yet, since she wanted to do them at the same time. Rina and the others walked to the open space inside the settlement, where Kiting101 and her party was waiting. While walking, she bought sets for a magic swordsman and a priest, which she immediately enchanted to +10. After making Decima and Nona wear it, she looked at Decima¡¯s swordsman skills.

On her hands was a golden rod as tall as her body. Her equipment emitted, as expected, white aura. The two were in a good mood because of their new set, and so was Rina who was happy that her mercenaries were at their second job class. Ragus silently flew in the sky, slightly feeling he¡¯s getting left behind. Noticing that, Rina called him. ¡°Ragus!¡± Ragus descended as he heard his master¡¯s voice. Rina patted his head and said. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, once you get to level fifty, you¡¯ll be a lot stronger.¡± Ragus was delighted, his master not only called for him, she even encouraged him. Feeling happy, Ragus rubbed his head on his master, before flying to the sky. When they arrived at the open space, they saw Kiting101 glaring at them. Feeling a bit guilty about arriving late, Rina said. ¡°Sorry for the wait.¡± ¡°Grrrr I¡¯m jealous! You¡¯re mercenaries are already at their second job while mine are still at level twenty two!¡± Said Kiting101 while grumpily stomping on the ground. ¡°The exp boost will start in an hour or less, so you¡¯ll get there soon.¡± Said Rina with a smirk. ¡°Hmmp, once they both become wizards we¡¯ll catch up.¡± ¡°...You should reconsider, you don¡¯t have a tanker, so you need at least need one healer.¡± ¡°Magicians have one heal spell, that should be enough to keep them alive, besides, offense is the best defense! They¡¯ll decimate every enemy and if one get¡¯s near us, I¡¯ll just kill it.¡± The merceneries and pets stayed quiet, and watched as their masters conversed for almost an hour. Though it looked like they were arguing, both were actually having fun. This is the third time they met, and aside from that, they also talked through the chat feature. It lets two players talk to each other no matter where they are, as long as they are friends. At first Rina didn¡¯t know how to react around Kiting101, but she slowly got the hang of it as she saw more of Kiting101¡¯s eccentric personality. She was even fond of Kiting101, thinking that her personality was refreshing. Unlike other people, Kiting101 blatantly says what she want. She¡¯s the type that if she want¡¯s to kill you, she¡¯ll tell it straight to your face even if you point a tank at her. Rina looked at the time.

¡°It¡¯s almost time¡± Said Rina. ¡°It¡¯s time to grind again.¡± Said Kiting101 They both walked to the teleport gate of the fairy settlement, to teleport to a grinding spot. ¡°Sigh, I still have to stay at Sinder wasteland.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll go to Ragan desert.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t tell me that! I¡¯ll just get jealous! No, I¡¯m already jealous!¡± ¡°Hahaha¡± ¡°Grrrr, bye!¡± Said Kiting101 as she touched the teleport gate. ¡°Tell me if your mercenaries become wizards ok? We have to create a guild early.¡± ¡°Hmmp!¡± Said Kiting101 as she vanished. Guilds can be created when four players at their second job class or higher form a party and pay for the guild creation, in any main city of any race. An example would be Denla city, or the fortified city of fairies in the war continent that they have yet to traverse. They don¡¯t need to form a guild immediately, but it¡¯s better to create one early so that they have the luxury of picking a name for the guild without restrictions. Cool and simple guild names are usually taken early. Though it¡¯s impossible for normal players to even create one since they¡¯re far from reaching their second job class. The real reason is simply because Rina and Kiting101 wants to create a guild. ¡°Ok, let¡¯s go.¡± ¡°As you wish master.¡± ¡°Yessu master!¡± ¡°Gao!¡± Rina touched the teleport gate and went to Ragan desert, a place for level thirty or above players. Chapter 8: Ragans Legacy In the middle of a desert, where there was nothing but sand and mobs; Rina and the other¡¯s were grinding. Decima now has two mob clearing skills, Nona was doing a great job healing, and Ragus was safely dealing damage from the sky. The three were doing a good job, except for Rina who wasn¡¯t needed in the mob clearing. Decima¡¯s explosion-lightning slash combo is enough to kill most the mobs that she pulls. Ragus takes care of those that are left. All Rina does is stay with Nona, supply them with mp potions, and toggle the aggression control. ¡°All done master¡± Said Decima with her usual expressionless face and waving tail. Rina activated aggression control, gave Decima and Nona mp potions, and walked on the desert looking for mobs. Without the need to finish a quest, they were just going back and fort from two grinding spots. When they finish clearing one spot, they¡¯ll go to the other, killing the next set of mobs and waiting for the mobs on the first spot to respawn. When they got to the other spot, while Rina was busy doing nothing, a screen appeared.

Each zone has one special mob, but it only respawns once a month, so it¡¯s not something one can easily encounter. In fact, it¡¯s almost impossible to find one. Rina was overwhelmed with delight as she saw a special mob not long after she started playing the game. She instantly used weapon throw and dash.

It has different ways of choosing a target but most of the time it targets the one that deals the most damage to it. With both of them near the wyvern and dealing damage to it, they can redirect the wyvern¡¯s attention from Nona, and by making sure Nona¡¯s not in the line of fire, she won¡¯t be hit by stray aoe attacks. There are other ways of choosing a target though, like attacking the nearest, attacking the farthest, or even attacking the one with the least HP. Rina left Ragus with Nona to protect her in any case the wyvern attacks her. ¡°Nona! Just make sure all three of us have empower buff! Make sure you¡¯re always full health! And only heal Decima when her HP reaches five hundred!¡± Said Rina as she used another assault. The wyvern roared, paralyzing them all, and spun around, pushing both Decima and Rina away. It then flew to the sky and gathered flames on its mouth. ¡°W-what about you master!?¡± Said Nona. ¡°Just do as I say! I have lifesteal! if I¡¯m low I¡¯ll just use potions!¡± Rina stared at the wyvern, accessing where it will use its breath attack. Once she knew she was the target, she waited for the wyern''s attack and dodged by using weapon dash on a mob. While the wyvern was descending, she drank an mp potion and threw one to Decima. The moment the wyvern landed, Rina used weapon throw to return, but it was canceled as the wyvern roared. It then flew again, but this time it went to Rina and tried to bite her. Luckily, Rina¡¯s evasion kicked and while the wyvern was close, she used assault. When she saw Decima wanting to throw explosion, she said. ¡°Don¡¯t! It uses too much MP!¡± She doesn¡¯t know how long the fight will last, so they need to conserve potions, especially now that they¡¯re don¡¯t have much. Rina cursed herself for not buying more. Before the wyvern landed, it threw a fire breath to Rina, but it wasn¡¯t enough to kill her in one shot. Since it was after Rina, she used weapon dash on a mob near Decima, to pull the boss to Decima and let her deal damage. When the wyvern went closer to them, she just ran around, letting Decima do more damage than her, to change the wyvern¡¯s target from her to Decima. Once the it focused on Decima, Rina used weapon dash to get to Nona and give her mp potions. ¡°Keep up the good work Nona!¡± Before she went back, she checked the wyvern¡¯s HP. As she got closer again, the wyvern roared, paralyzing them all, and hitting Rina with its tail, pushing her away. ¡°Tsk¡± Rina had to run back to the wyvern, since her weapon throw was still on cooldown. Though it was a long and risky battle, they were able to reduce the wyvern¡¯s HP to fifty percent while keeping Nona safe. On the whole battle, she used eight HP and thirteen MP potions, and now she only has nine HP and seven MP potions, putting them in quite a bind. In the middle of battle, the wyvern flew and a sandstorm hit them again. Not knowing where the boss is, Decima and Rina temporarily went to Nona. ¡°Good job everyone.¡± Said Rina, to lighten up the mood. Nona was truly happy, so she laughed like she always does. ¡°Ehehe¡± Decima had a serious expression and was observing the surroundings, but her waving tail made it obvious that she was also happy. Ragus was a bit sad since he did nothing but stay with Nona. ¡°Don¡¯t worry Ragus, you protecting Nona is good enough.¡± Said Rina as she patted Ragus¡¯ head. Moments later, they heard the wyvern¡¯s deafening roar, clearing the sandstorm, and letting them see a wyvern with reddish scales, now emitting smoke due to the rising temperature of its body. Rina initiated by using weapon throw and weapon dash combo, but once she appeared, the wyvern roared. It still paralyzed her like before, but now it had more effects. It inflicted a burn status and silence status on her. The burn decreased her HP by five per second which lasted for thirty seconds, while the silence stopped her from using skills for five whole seconds. Even with those, Rina didn¡¯t stop. If she couldn¡¯t use skills, then she¡¯ll use normal attacks. Decima arrived shortly after the Silence status on Rina faded. ¡°Just like before!¡± Said Rina, implying that they should continue like they did earlier. This text was taken from Royal Road. Before the it released its attack, Rina yelled. ¡°Area heal!¡± Immediately after that, Nona used Area heal, healing everyone except for Ragus who wasn¡¯t in the party. With the heal, Rina was able to tank the attack, and when she was released, Decima was back. While they were fighting the wyvern, it flew again. It gathered flames on its mouth like earlier, but this time its target was Nona. Rina immediately used weapon dash to a nearby mob, in an attempt to tank the attack for Nona, but she didn¡¯t make it. Luckily, Ragus tanked it and survived. Nona healed him afterwards. The fight continued, but now fear was building up inside Rina. Now she knows that the wyvern can also target Nona, and next time it might use a chain attack to kill Nona. There''s also the fact that they don''t have much potions. Though it¡¯s just a game, her time with her mercenaries was real. Even though they¡¯re bots, Rina was happy being with them and she doesn¡¯t want that to end. As minutes passed, she started thinking. Maybe she could pay the creators to revive them, even if it¡¯s expensive. It was possible. She had the money, so maybe she could. But then she thought; what if she can¡¯t? What if they do give her mercenaries back but with a different personality? No, even if they had the same personality, are they still the same? Why was she even thinking about it? They weren¡¯t real anyway. As her fear and confusion mixed together, her performance worsened. It was hopeless, just one more attack and Decima will be gone. Another and everyone will be wiped out. Though she can just revive in the fairy settlement, it wasn¡¯t the same for her mercenaries. Decima, Nona, and even Ragus knew it was the end. They knew from the start that they were just bots, and that they¡¯ll vanish when they die, but they were ok with it since they knew it wasn¡¯t the end for their master. Decima stared back at Rina, with a smile on her face to show her master she was ok with dying. Nona¡¯s cheerful smile was gone. It was replaced by a smile filled with sadness. She smiled to ease her master¡¯s pain, but was sad since she¡¯ll never see her master again. Ragus was the most childish of the three, but now he showed resolve, to take his death like a man. At least to show his master he was brave even in the end. It was odd, it was just a game, yet tears formed on Rina¡¯s eyes. She can¡¯t believe that she¡¯s feeling sadness inside a game where she was supposed to have fun. She didn¡¯t want them gone, she wanted to prevent it from happening, but she knew it was meaningless. All she could do was smile back to them who were trying their best to lessen her worries. For one last time, as the wyvern gathered more flames than ever, they walked to each other and hugged. ¡°I love you master.¡± Said Decima who tried her best to keep her smile. ¡°*hic**hic*master...¡± Said Nona who couldn¡¯t control her sadness, and tightly held Rina¡¯s clothes. ¡°Gao!¡± Said Ragus as he stood dignified, accepting his death. ¡°It was fun being with you, Decima, Nona, Ragus.¡± Said Rina as she closed her eyes, waiting for the wyvern to release its breath. Soon, somewhere in Ragan desert, a large exploding sound was heard. Chapter 10: Friends I don''t know if I''m doing a good job creating sad moments, but who cares? The story''s focus is about the game anyway. __________ Soon after Rina closed her eyes, she heard an exploding sound above her, and she felt her body being burned. No, she was over reacting. The wyvern flew again to the sky and went to one of the culprits, one of Kiting101¡¯s mercenaries. ¡°Look out!¡± Said Rina as she stared at the squishy wizard get hit by the wyvern¡¯s claw. ¡°It¡¯s fine, it¡¯s fine, I buffed him with HP accessories and socket stats.¡± Said Kiting101 as she took out potions and gave them to Rina and the others. ¡°Use it quickly.¡± ¡°T-thanks¡± Said Rina as she drank the HP and MP potion.

ORA!¡± Once the wyvern turned its focus to her, she drank a potion and waited for it to come near her. Rina and the others scattered, but since the wyvern was still on the air, they couldn¡¯t attack. When the wyvern got close to Kiting101, she used triad star. She created two copies of herself which spread around the wyvern. Every time she uses a skill, the clones also do the same, but the clones have lesser range and damage. Rina was amazed, but it was no time to stare at Kiting101. Once the wyvern entered her range, she used weapon dash. Now that she has potions, she spammed assault. Though they were in an alliance, they acted like two separate parties. Like before, Rina uses her mobility to supply the others with potions. On Kiting101¡¯s side, she uses her clones to give the potions to the wizards. With their numbers, the wyvern¡¯s damage output was divided, making it safer for all of them. The fight against a wyvern that¡¯s double their level was lightened up by Kiting101¡¯s eccentric personality. Though she¡¯s just spouting nonsense as she attacks, everyone¡¯s morale rose. Before, the wyvern was completely safe whenever it flew to the sky, but not with 2MuchDamage. The wyvern was still within their range even when it flies, and whenever it charged for a breath attack, it just becomes a free target for them. Slowly, though they were focused on their own parties, they synchronized. When one is in danger, the other increase damage output, and vice versa. With Rina¡¯s mobility and Kiting101¡¯s clones, all members were always supplied with potion, and though there were six of them and were constantly moving, none entered the same line of fire as the other, only giving the wyvern one target at a time. For some reason, no matter how much damage everyone did, the wyvern was intent on attacking Kiting101, though with her efficient use of triad star and fade shot, she rarely got hit. Rina has higher mobility through her weapon dash, but she can¡¯t help but be amazed by Kiting101¡¯s play style. Soon, the wyvern fell, but it didn¡¯t vanish. Just like how Decima, Nona and Ragus had emotions, the wyvern did too. The wyvern cried in agony as it licked its dead child, before vanishing with it completely, leaving a pile of gold and three accessories. She heard five consecutive bell sounds, indicating five level ups, and a screen appeared in front of her.

He decided to stop hiding and be with the one he loved, wishing that Rina would never find out that he was involved in the events that killed her parents. There with them were other players trying to kill them, to beat them in the guild war. It has been three weeks since the game started, and though majority of the players were still around twenty to thirty, P2W and some semi-P2W players were now in the war continent, where different races gather. The war continent was the place for pvps, group battles, or even guild wars. Group battles and guild wars were held in the Illidan meadows, where it¡¯s safe for a mercenary to die. Mercenaries were sent to outposts near Illidan meadows after they¡¯re killed in battle. Pets were also left there since they¡¯re not allowed to join the war. ¡°Die!¡± Said one of the swordsmen running towards Kiting101. ¡°Ahahaha, look at your damage, are you even trying?¡± Said Kiting101 as she ignored the swordsman continuously attacking her. ¡°Shut up!¡± Kiting101 continued ignoring the swordsman as she attacked the other players. It didn¡¯t matter how tanky the other players were since one shot from Kiting101 was enough to kill them. Her mercenaries were roaming around on their own, decimating any who dares cross their path. The battle was between four guilds, and it was supposed to be a battle royale, but the other three guilds joined forces to defeat ASCENSION who has never been defeated before. In the war continent, there was no ordinary player, all of them were pay to win players, but Kiting101 and her mercenaries were different. Yeah, they were pay-to-win players, but that doesn¡¯t mean they all had the same level of equipment. Some had mercenaries, some had enchanted equipment, but Kiting101 had all and were maxed. When spells and arrows rained down from the sky, Kiting101 used triad star and made them cover for her. Once the storm of attacks was over, she used one of her clones as a platform and leaped. While in midair, she used arrow storm, sending tons of arrow to the ground which instantly killed three players.
