《NOIS: A RWBY fanfiction》 Chapter 00- charcter descriptions Noir Pendragon: Then Team leader of team Noise. A high spirited young man of 17 who loves helping people and adventurous. His weapon specialty is dual wielding two three-foot single edge ninja ken blades. His weapon is called the Excalibur shards which consists of two three part handles and two containers on his back. Each container has 50+ blades each covered with different dust for different powers. Once connected to the handles the blade can charge the dust energy to the base of his handles that are guns. Once out of dust he drops the blade from the handles and bushes a button on each handle which makes any blade not attached to his handles explode like a grenade. He lives with his uncle in Vale and was trained by Qrow along with Ruby and Yang. He and Ruby have a big brother little sister relationship he and yang are best friends and have a mutual attraction to each other. He has a motorcycle he calls Wasp which is green and black. He wears a black leather jacket over a green t-shirt and white Cargo pants usually. He is both skilled in combat and tactics making him an excellent leader. His biggest weakness is his tendency to rush into situations before he asses them. Onyx Howlin: A young ambitious man who seeks to be a huntsman. To strangers he comes across cold and uncaring. Although once he gets to know and become comfortable with a person he reveals to be an incredibly cheerful young man. He is always optimistic about everything because in his view a situation could be worse. He stands over six feet tall and appears to be rather scrawny. However, he is incredibly fast strong and accurate with his blows. He wields the Silver bolts, which are two silver colored gauntlets that cover his arms, each has a two foot punching dagger attached to each fist. He can use these daggers to both punch and slice enemies. The gauntlets can also launch the blades off with a 40ft steel cable so he can either shoot his opponents from great distance with the blades or fight them Scorpion style,. The gauntlets also can fire lightning balls that range from Taser strength to overload. He can also channel the lightning through his cables and blades. He is very good friends with team JNPRs Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie because he grew up in the same orphanage as them. He is also rather close to all three of his teammates and always willing to bend over backwards. His biggest weakness is being overwhelmed by multiple enemies at once he is much better at one on one battles. Please report it.Ivan Canis: A young wolf Faunus from Vacuous, Ivan knows what oppression and fear can do first hand. He managed to pass Beacons entrance exam. A hater of the white fang he vowed to become a Huntsman to prove Faunus are not evil. With his family blessing he set off. He stands at meager four feet eleven inches and doesnt have much for him speed or mobility wise, but makes up for it with strength and defense, as well as ranged attack. His weapon of choice is called Deity Breaker, which comes in the shape of a cross although has many forms. Melee form is a massive battle axe strong enough to split diamond with a single swing. In ranged form1 in doubles as a flamethrower and rocket launcher at the base. The ultimate for comes from range form two which shoots a giant laser strong enough to destroy a building with one blast called the Athenian Pointer. Loyal Reverent but far too forgiving and gullible. Sebastian Mortick: A carefree dark skinned young man who wants to be a huntsman so he isnt stuck as a role of servant. His mother is a receptionist for the Schnee Dust Company and His Father is the personal bodyguard for the Schnee family. As such he ended up growing up alongside Weiss Schnee and is her best friend from before Beacon. He trained hard so he wouldnt have to work hard in a boring job working for the Schnee family. His weapon of choice is called Omni, which base form is a spear with a dust loader similar to Weiss rapier. Its range form is something to his personal reference; a compound bow that shoots arrows made of dust the size of javelins. He may seem carefree but he actually cares for his friends like family. He hates guns and loves Archery because it was one of the few things good he remembers his father doing for him. Chapter 01- Trailers N-Trailer Noir pulled his motorcycle to his favorite spot in all of Vale; a small grove of dead trees surrounding him. He got up grabbed his two massive sheaths and slung them over his shoulder and started walking around toward his favorite tree. He was almost there when he heard the roaring. He turned around in all directions before he spotted them surrounding him. A group of about twenty Ursa Minors and one massive Ursa Major. Their massive size had them towering over the dark haired teenager. He just smiled at them slyly. He took his two sword handles out from his leather jacket and thrust them into the top of the massive sheaths on his back. He heard to clicks and pulled the handles of with a sword blade attached to each of them. His left hand had a red blade and his right handle held a blue blade. He got into a stance taunting the Ursas. All the small ones charged and he spun slashing the air up coming into contact with at least one massive bear with each stroke of his blades. With that one set of strikes he had injured at least all but the Major and killed at least five. The Ursa all growled at him again. He returned to his casual stance still smiling at the large monsters. They charged again. Noir flipped the swords so the butt of the handles was facing his enemies. He pulled the triggers on each of them and bursts of dust attacks came from the butts of his handles and struck the ursas. First two more went down; three; five; eight; ten; till finally all the minor Ursas were dead. The Ursa Major Roared at him before charging. Noir smiled again and charged. The Ursa swiped at him but Noir quickly ducked under him stabbed his blades into the bears belly. The bear howled. Noir flicked his wrists and the blades detached from the handles. He back flipped away and pressed the red buttons on his handles and the two blades exploded on the bear destroying it. Noir let out a sigh of relief. After regaining his composure, he heard the sound of punk rock music and an engine getting closer. When he looked over his shoulder he saw a yellow and black motorcycle as it parked next to him. Two girls got off and started walking towards him: one was short with short red black hair and a red hood and the other wore a yellow blouse with a half jacket super small short and a half skirt and super long blonde hair. NOIR! the shorter girl as she rushed over to hug him I got into Beacon, Hello small child now let go so I can hear all about, how you doing Yang? Noir responded. Hell-o Yang responded in a sing songy voice. Yang looked around and saw the dead Ursai around and looked back at Noir. Couldnt wait huh? she asked. Noir beamed brightly as he shoved Ruby off of him. Nope, you took too long Goldilocks. O-Trailer Onyx walked into the dark cave not caring for the danger. In his mind he had already faced worse than what was ahead in the dark caves. When he finally got to the large opening at the end of the cave he saw t sun shine on his targets. Four overly large snake coiled around the large cavern. They sensed Onyx is presence and started stiffing and slithering around hissing at him. Onyx remembered his training He took a deep breath. He looked up at the sun. While he was looking up he saw the four black and white snake heads appear hiss again and lunge at him. As they almost made it to him he used his semblance and teleported up towards the sky. While the snakes looked confused as he was falling down and flicked his wrists the silver gloves on his hands extended up to his elbows and two two-foot blades came out the top of his fists. He aimed one fist at a snake and tightened his fist and the blade shot out with a cable attached to it that plunged straight into the first snake killing it instantly. As his blade retracted the three other snakes looked up and hissed at the falling young man. He used his semblance again and teleported right next to his next targets neck and used both arms to slash the snake killing it as its head falls off. The other snakes looked down confused. Before they could react he punched the air firing a couple round of lightening balls hitting both his targets stunning them. He teleported twice more stabbing the two snakes as many times as he could; slaying both of them. Once they were all dead, he returned his weapons back to normal and walked out of the cave. Once he got out he saw a young man in a green gi similar to the blue one he was wearing. The other young man had long black hair with a strand of pink in it. All clear, the young man asked Onyx stoically. Onyx smiled and nodded. Okay Nora the snakes are all gone, Onyx said towards a bush. A young girl popped out with a huge hammed in her hand. Thank you both, I am cant stand snakes I can fight anything else just not those, Nora started saying and kept talking on and on. Onyx looked at the other young man standing and smiled at his friend. Ready for Beacon Ren? Onyx asked excitedly. Nora and Ren were two people he could relax around. Ren smiled warmly and nodded. Are you? Ren replied. Onyx smiled again I am ready for anything. I-Trailer The wolf faunus sat amongst the tall Vaccuo grass while the wind blew against his him. He was waiting. The world around him. He kept his eyes closed in remembrance of his meditation training. He heard everything that was going on around him. Finally, he noticed the rustling of grass in front of him. He opened his eyes but didnt move. He gripped his weapon, Deity Breaker in his hands. The rustling got closer and closer Till finally he saw charging at him a grim in the form of a wild boar. As it squealed at the sight of the young faunus boy. It then curled up into a ball and roll charged straight for him. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.As it curled up Ivan stood up, barely taller than four feet. He lifted his giant axe up ready to strike. As the Grim rolled towards him he brought his mighty axe down on the creature. Most weapons would bounce off the tough armor. Not the young faunuss weapon though. It cut through the boar as if it was butter. The grim split in half letting out an ear piercing squeal. The faunus looked around him and heard another grim coming. This time it sounded like it was doing more than making grass rustle it in fact made the ground rumble. Ivan grabbed his weapon and higher ground when he looked out and saw it. The grim was a large elephant. And it was charging towards where he was. Ivan acted quickly he changed his weapon from axe for into a large rocket launcher. He aimed and shot a couple at the large charging grim. After the explosions he noticed all he did was make the elephant lose momentum and it was still charging. He clicked the circle hole where his trigger was and flipped over the cross from a rocket launcher to a giant laser pointer. Ivan reached into his pocket and loaded the laser with the special dust ammo and pulled and held the trigger. He felt the weapon charge and vibrate as he saw the elephant getting closer it was almost where he was when he killed the boar. He slowed his breathing and relaxed. Finally, when the elephant was almost on top of him he let the trigger go and an enormous blast of energy left his laser and enveloped the large grim burning it to a crisp. Ivan smiled and transformed his weapon back into its resting form of a giant cross and put it on is back a he jumped down to admire his handy work. Extraordinary, a voice said. Ivan looked behind him and saw a scrawny man with green hair and glasses dressed as an explorer standing there, drinking out of an old fashioned thermos. Tell me young man, he said again ever thought about going to school? Which one? Ivan asked curious about the odd human. Beacon, the man responded taking a slug out of his Thermos. S-trailer A special fair well concert was playing at the Schnee dust company starring Weiss Schnee singing a special song. Outside though members of the white fang were rushing towards the concert hall ready for a big sabotage on the Schnees. The plan was to have twenty faunus set up a bomb at the concert hall and leave before it went off. The faunus had a ship land not far from the hall and got the bomb ready and lowered the hanger door getting ready for their mission. When it opened all the faunus were shocked to see a seven -foot ebon skinned teenager standing their armed with nothing but what looked like a spear. Am I late for the party? the young man mocked to the faunus terrorists. All the faunus looked at each other. The two closest to the hanger charged the guy. The young man simply knocked them aside with his spear with ease at least make this interesting. Ten more started charging off the ship all ready to attack. The young man didnt waste any time demonstrating his skill with the spear. In what seemed like a blur and with barely moving from his starting position he knocked them all out or away sometimes both. Before the seven who were handling the bomb could make a move he twisted a part of his spear and shifted into a compound bow with the spear point acting as a level. The dust compartment spun until it landed on the ice dust. As he pulled the string back an arrow the size of a javelin made of ice was formed. As he let lose the arrow flow at one of the members freezing him in place before the other six could respond he shot arrows of ice at them too completely freezing them. Well that was boring, the young man said. Then he heard the rumble on the ship. Before the young man could respond a giant faunus about as tall as him came out wearing the white fang mask and shirt wielding a large chainsaw. The young man changed the bow back into the spear form getting ready for the confrontation. The faunus revved up the chainsaw and swung at the young man. The young human dodged with ho effort and lunged his spear. The large faunus parried and knocked the spear out of the young mans hand s and sent it flying. The faunus laughed taunting the young man. The boy smiled and started to glow, before the faunus could react he saw the young man turn into a polar white Ursa and smack him knocking him out. Shortly after the sound of sirens filled the air and the young man reverted back into an ebon skinned young man as we walked over and grabbed his spear. When the police arrived they were led by another ebon skinned man dressed in a well-tailored walking towards him. What happened Sebastian? the suited man asked towering over Sebastian. Sebastian just smiled his cocky smiled. Just some wanna be terrorists wanting to sabotage the party, nothing I couldnt handle, He said smiling as the police arrested the white fang members and disarmed the bomb. The man in the suit just smiled proudly. Excellent, now go home get some sleep, you got a big day tomorrow son, the suited man said. Yes sir, Sebastian said heading away from the crime scene. Sebastian, Ill miss you son. Good luck tomorrow, He said. Sebastian turned and smiled brightly. Thanks dad, I promise I will make you proud, he responded. Already am, his father responded with. Chapter 02- First Day Duel ( Hey all My name is Victor Kingston . I am an aspiring author and I wanted to get some practice writing. So I thought since I love RWBY and I always wanted to write a fanfic, I thought might as well try it. So read enjoy and please give me feedback.) Ill see you as soon as I land, Noir said into his scroll finishing up his conversation on his scroll with Yang. Okay, get here soon some kid just barfed all over the place on mine, Yang responded over the scroll. Noir laughed as he hung up. He walked over to the window and took a quick look at the view of Vale from the sky. He had seen it before it still was an amazing sight to see his kingdom from up above. It wasnt long before the ship finally landed at its destination: Beacon Academy. As soon as the ship stopped moving and the drawbridge dropped Noir grabbed his leather jacket and his two massive sheaths and almost leaped off the ship. The first thing he noticed about the academy was it was a huge castle like building surrounded by an even larger courtyard. He noticed the tallest tower of the castle like academy had a huge clock tower. Noir thought to himself well now Ill always know what time it is. He then remembered he was supposed to meet Ruby and Yang at the courtyard. He started looking around trying to find the two girls. It didnt take long to spot the two sisters amongst the flooding crowd of uniformed students. He noticed that Ruby had just taken her scythe out and looked like she was swooning over it. Noir thought that since Ruby loved weapons she probably went nuts a couple of moments ago seeing all the new weapons surrounding them. He started to run towards them when all of a sudden he saw Yang spin her sister around and rush away towards him in the crowd. Cmon lets go, Yang said grabbing his arm and dragging him away so fast he couldnt respond. Why are we leaving your sister behind? Noir asked when the two of them finally managed to get out of the crowd and walking along the top of hill on the side of the school. Yang smiled as she stood with hands on her hips looking incredibly boisterous. She needs to learn to make new friends and besides I may love her but I dont want her attached at my hip, Yang responded. Noir rolled his eyes laughing at his friend. I dont think it will be a problem anyhow what do you want to talk about? Noir asked as he looked at his friend. Yang turned around so her back was facing Noir and her face faced the castle of a school they were about to start attending. I was wondering what is going to happen next? Yang started saying. I mean we are about to start our next big adventure and it all starts today, I was wondering what your thoughts on this were, Noir thought about it. Honestly thrill seeker, I dont know, Noir starting to respond I mean Ive always wanted to be a huntsman and go on crazy adventures. So for me I feel like this is going to start making that dream a reality. Yang turned around, her purple eyes staring at Noir as she smiled. Well thats a bit on the boorish and cheesy side, Yang said mockingly sticking out her tongue. Anyhow Im heading to the opening ceremony, see you in a bit, Yang said as she turned to walk back towards the front of the building. Hey Yang, wanna see if we could make it on the same team? Noir said to the blonde Bombshell. Sure, she responded happily as she walked away. When he was out of sight Noir made a fist pumping motion which was his normal victory motion. He started dancing around thinking that he was going to love his four years at Beacon. Especially if he would spend them with Yang on his team; since one he liked her and two Yang and Noir both were 2 of ten people who got accepted from Signal to Beacon so he knew his team would be strong with the two of them. While dancing he didnt notice that he was getting closer to a set of stairs, until finally slipping and startled tumbling down the stairs. Ouch oof, ouch, Noir ended up saying as he tumbled down the steps until he finally crashed into something at the bottom. Ow that hurt, Noir managed to cough out. You all right man? Noir heard a voice ya. He looked up and was awestruck. He found himself looking up at a seven-foot tall ebon skinned young man dressed in a royal blue t-shirt and tan cargo pants holding his hand down towards him. Noir took the hand and the giant helped him up to his feet. Quite the fall you took, the stranger said to him. Noir looked back at the stairs he just fell down and returned to face the stranger. I guess to most people I am. The names Sebastian Mortick, the larger boy said but just call me Bastian. Im from Atlas and you, my tumbling buddy? Oh Im Noir Pendragon, and I am from Patch, Noir responded. Bastion got a confused look on his face. Wheres that out of curiosity? Bastian asked. An Island off the coast Vale, Noir responded. Noir took the opportunity to look at his new friend more closely and noticed he was caring a long silver spear with a dust loaded carousel right under the double edged blade. Neat spear is that your weapon of choice. Yupp, Bastian responded with happily proud of his spear. It goes from spear, he flicked his wrist and Noir saw the large spear transform into a compound bow to bow form in a couple of seconds, he said proudly. No arrows? Noir asked Made from the dust I use. Oh sweet, well I got these, Noir said pulling his gun/sword handles from his pocket. Um, Bastian started saying what are those? he asked quizzically. These are sword handles and laser pistols. I attach them to my sheaths, Noir responded demonstrating by putting the handles on his sheaths and after a couple clicks pulled them out revealing two red-orange ninjaken blades. the blades are charged with dust and the laser pistols on the butts of my sword shot charged dust shots based on whatever dust I happen to be using at that particular time, in this case fire dust. And when the dust runs out I ditch the blades. Plenty more in the sheaths. That is seriously cool man, Bastian responded looking impressed with Noirs display. Noir smiled as a thought entered his head. Want to spar? Noir asked. Bastian looked at him like he had two heads. Spar? Yeah didnt you do that at your school in Atlas? Noir asked I just passed the entrance exam no special schooling, Bastian responded. Noir nodded impressed by his new friends statement. Basically what we do is fight until our Aura drops to read using all our skills and we dont go for the kill, normally for an official spar we would need an official but I think we can do a friendly one dont you think? Noir asked. Bastian thought about it then nodded taking his battle stance. Noir took his. ready, GO! both of them yelled. Bastian lunged with his spear, Noir parried with one blade and slashed with the other. Bastian easily blocked and let a swing go sending Noir flying a few paces. Noir regained his composure and charged at his opponent. Bastian switched his weapon to Bow form armed with Ice dust and launched a couple arrows made of ice at Noir. Noir Jumped fifteen feet into the air and started shooting fire blasts from the air at Bastian. Bastian dodged rolled away and transformed his weapon back to spear form . When Noir landed on the ground and blocked his opponent. The fight dragged on until a voice boomed. That is enough, it said. Both boys stopped mid swing and turned to look at the source of the voice. The two boys saw a silver haired man in a black suit with a green scarf and a cane walking towards them. that was excellent form you two. Thank you professor Ozpin, Noir said bowing. Thank you, sir, Bastian said bowing as well. Next time though find an official and make sure you make it to where you are needed, you both missed my welcoming speech. However, I will forgive it this time. I recommend now getting to the cafeteria get your dinner and return to the main hall so you boys can collect your luggage and get to sleep tonight. Ozpin said. Both boys continued bowing. Yes sir. We apologize sir, Noir said where is the cafeteria? Ozpin smiled and gestured to have the two boys follow him. Noir turned to his new friend You are an amazing fighter, Noir said. Thanks! You are pretty good yourself for a klutz, Bastian said laughing. Noir couldnt help but laugh too. First day at Beacon and he already was having a good time. Chapter 03- Night of shocks ( Hey everyone thanks to all who are keeping up with Team NOIS, I hope you enjoy this chapter.) The first dinner at Beacon went by uneventfully. Noir sat with Ruby and Yang. Ruby was going on about how Yang had ditched her and she somehow managed to cause an explosion. Both Yang and Noir laughed at the young girls slight misfortune. After eating Noir stopped by the locker area to put away his weapons and gather his luggage. He quickly changed out of his cloths and into his pajamas which only consisted of a pair of green pajama pants. Afterwards Noir went to the main hall where all the new students were setting up their sleeping bags and gear. Noir found a spot towards the middle of the large room. He looked around and saw Yang and Ruby and it looked like they were talking about something. Ever heard of a shirt? a familiar voice said behind him. Noir turned to see Bastion sitting behind him dressed in a large white undershirt and black pants. I have but when I sleep I tend to overheat when I wear one so its better that I dont, Noir responded awkwardly. Bastian made a nodding motion that looked like he understood what Noir was saying. Well, all I can say is every guy here is going to hate your guts right about now, Bastian said smiling, trying to stifle a laugh. Noir looked at his new friend puzzled. Bastian pointed to the other side of the room where all the ladies were. A good majority of them were looking at him giggling and gossiping. I think they like your six pack man, Bastian finally said laughing. Noir gave him what seemed like a death stare. Gee thanks, Noir said as he laid down in his sleeping bag. Hey are you looking forward to our first assignment tomorrow? Noir asked Bastian. Bastian himself started lying down for the night. Kind of, Bastian said in a half -hazard tone. Hey want to be on the same team tomorrow? I appreciate the offer but I hear tomorrow that we only work with partners tomorrow, and I already had plans to be Yangs partner, Noir responded sadly. He would love to be on the same team as Bastian, the guy proved to be quite a force to be reckoned with but with a choice between him and Yang, Noir would rather have Yang. Whos Yang? Bastian finally asked interrupting Noirs train of thought. Shes a friend of mine back from Patch and Signal, Noir responded. OHH, Bastian responded in a sing songy voice slightly mocking Noir Is she hot? If she is she available? Noir started feeling his face turn red in thought. Yes, and if you try anything I may have to put six of blade in your back, Noir said feeling both annoyed and embarrassed. Bastian burst out laughing. Sorry man, I couldnt resist but alright thats fair, Bastian said rolling over Well good night. Good night, Noir responded as he drifted off to sleep. It wasnt long before the noise around him died down and everyone was asleep. In the middle of the night Noir felt the need to go to the restroom and woke up. As he was getting up he noticed a dark figure across on the girl side of the room. What frightened him was dark figure was looming over Ruby. Noir immediately felt his older brother instincts kicked in. Noir jumped out of his sleeping bag making a small thump. The noise definitely caught the shadowy figures attention as it darted away. Noir ran after the figure trying to keep up with the shadowy figure. For a good portion of time he was doing well until the two turned a sharp corner and ended up crashing into someone again. I am really really sorry, Noir managed to get out trying to stand back up. He looked down the hall really quick and noticed the shadowy figure had vanished. He then looked down at his newest crash victim and helped him up. When the other young man stood up he couldnt be much taller than four and half feet tall. He had a slightly stout figure and short rust colored hair and was wearing dark pajamas. What really stuck out though were the two large and pointed ears on the top of his head. Thats alright, the young man said dusting himself off. I am guessing you were after that shadowy figure guy, the faunus said pointing down the hall Um sir what are you doing? Noir had almost forgotten about the shadowy figure and was more interested in the strangers ears and had started playing with them. Sorry I have never seen a faunus before today, Noir said while playing with the young Faunuss ears. The faunus got annoyed look on his face as he swatted Noirs arm away. What? My ears are not toys to play with, the short faunus said crossing his arms. I think people really like them, a voice came from behind the small faunus When Noir looked up he noticed another young man with hair the color of sand wearing a black and white gi. First Nora plays with them then this blonde girl, Must have been Yang Noir thought to himself And now this young fellow. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Sorry about knocking you over, Noir then went on to saying. I was trying to catch that guy, Oh he left the building, I lost his scent while you were playing with my ears, the fauns responded. Oh, I see, thats a bit frightening, Noir responded. Now he was a bit worried someone was after Ruby. But he was quickly brought back when the faunus outstretched his hand in front of him. My name is Ivan Canis pleased to meet you oh shirtless one, Ivan said smiling. Oh Im Noir Pendragon, Noir responded Whos your friend Ivan? Noir then asked. Im Onyx and I wouldnt call us friends we just met today, the other boy responded. I met Ivan because a friend of mine decided his ear were cute and decided that she wanted to play with them. Well I dont like them getting touched but I made an exception for her and the blonde, Ivan responded. Noir then soon figured out that Ivan had a weakness for women. Anyway we really should head back before a teacher gets us in trouble, Onyx said flatly. The other two nodded in agreement and the three walked back to the main hallway where everyone was still sleeping. Noirs two companions disappeared into the crowd of sleeping guys before he could say anything about it. Noir grudgingly walked back to his sleeping bag and fell asleep still worried about the strange figure standing over Ruby. Eventually he did manage to sleep. The next morning all the students got up and got ready for their field test. Noir quickly got dressed in his green t-shirt, cargo pants, and leather jacket on and went to eat his breakfast quickly. After eating he went two his locker grabbing hi sheaths and sword handles. While in the locker room he noticed that Ruby was carrying a blonde hair guy out and Yang was standing back. Noir walked up to Yang and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and smiled. Hell-o, Yang said in her obnoxious sing songy voice. She then reverted back to her normal voice So I am trying to convince Ruby to be someone elses partner so we could work together, Yang said happily. Noir smiled at her. Yeah about that, Noir started to say, and then told Yang about the shadowy figure that was hanging over Ruby the night before. Yang got a slightly distressed look on her face. with all that being said, I think you should try to be on Rubys team, you know to keep an eye on her. Yang nodded, Noir could tell that informing her of that worried her. Noir gave her a hug and headed out to meet the instructors for the field test. On his way he noticed a familiar sight of a seven-foot ebon giant in white cargo pants, royal blue shirt, and a black combat vest. Hey Bastian, Noir said running to his friend. Bastian turned and made the gesture for a high five. When Noir caught up he took the offer and high fived his friend. Whats new man? Bastian asked. Not much just anxious about this exam, Noir answered and the two passed friendly banter between them until they got to their destination: A hilltop with silver panels on them all in a row. Noir stepped on one that was further down the left. On either side of him was Bastian to the right and on his left was Ivan dressed in what looked like pitch black armor with a white color and a cross on his back. To his left somewhat towering over the faunus was Onyx still dressed in his black and white gi only this time he had silver armor pieces all up his arms. Once all the students were lined up Professors Ozpin and Goodwitch came and stood in front of the students and addressed what the students would be doing. What Noir understood was that the students would be launched into the emerald forest, they were required to find a partner who would be their partner for the next four years. Once partners were made they were required to get a relic from the ruins and head back. There was enough relics that each group of two people that got the same relic would become a team of four for the rest of their time at beacon. Um what does he mean by drop us, Ivan asked Noir clearly new to how things like this work. These things we are standing on are launch pads, when he says go they are going to launch us one by one into the forest. We dont have parachutes we are required to find our own way to land, Noir explained. Ivan still looked puzzled. Watch Onyx, Noir said pointing at the ninja. When Ivan turned his head he saw the silver pad launch Onyx several hundred feet into the air over the forest. Oh, wait what, Ivan then said right before his pad launched him up into the air. That guy is doomed, Bastian said to Noir laughed. Noir laughed and nodded in agreement. He prepped himself to be launched. He felt excited he was finally going to truly start training for his dream. The adrenaline spiked as he felt his pad launched him high above the emerald forest. Chapter 04- Landing ( I''m sorry for the delay for any NOIS fans the holidays were nuts. But here is the newest Chapter. Again please send your opinions.) (Onyx pov) Onyx felt the rush of wind pass him as he flew through the air. While in the air he kept his eyes closed so he could feel the adrenaline pumping through him. As he felt himself descending down to the forest he activated his weapons. As soon as he fell past the treetop line he shot one of his blades into one of the tree and swung like a monkey on a vine through the trees. As soon as Onyx felt it was safe to drop from the trees he clicked for his blade to return and fell to the ground rolling as he landed. Onyx quickly checked his surroundings to make sure he didnt drop into a danger zone. Onyx remembered Ozpin saying that they needed to find a partner and get an artifact as soon as they possibly could. Onyx also remembered that there were supposed to be monsters scattered around the forest. Onyx wasted no time getting a move on looking for a partner so he could finish the mission. He started darting through the woods looking a hard as he could to find himself a partner. (Ivans pov) Ivan tried his best to fall gracefully but was having absolutely no luck. He felt himself spinning in the air unable to find a sense of balance. As he saw the tree line of the forest grow surprisingly closer he started to panic even more. In a desperate attempt the young faunus reached for his back and grabbed his weapon. As he griped the cross for dear life he managed activate the flamethrower on the bottom. He then gripped tightly as he let the flames shoot from the flamethrower; the thrust sent him flying what felt like going forward and faster towards the ground he then adjusted so the flamethrower was pointing down and he was now losing momentum as he slowly floated down until he landed in a bush. As Ivan deactivated his weapon as he got out of the bush he had so conveniently landed in. He brushed himself off and started listening. Most faunus had super great eyesight he on the other hand had super great hearing and could hear footsteps approaching him from not too far away. Ivan remembered that there were supposed to be monsters around in this forest. In fear he pulled out his cross and activated the axe mode and prepped a swing for when the fast approaching thing got there. Ivan could hear it getting closer and closer. When he could hear the noise almost to him he yelled as he swung his axe to the ground. It whiffed as a flash of black and white jumped back to dodge and Ivan was face to face with a very concerned Onyx. That was not necessary, Onyx said jokingly at the faunus. Ivan face made an expression that screamed of mild annoyance and pouting at the same time. Im glad to see you my friend but now I am sad, Ivan responded as his ears dropped over his head. Why? My swing missed, Ivan responded with. Onyx laughed at the short faunus. Im pretty hard to hit in general dont feel too bad, Onyx responded as he finished laughing. Any ways I guess this makes us partners now, lets get going before we attract any unnecessary attention. Ivan nodded in agreement deactivating his axe back to the cross form and putting it on his back. The two then started heading in a direction away from where they were launched from. By the way Ivan howd you land? Oh I used my flamethrower, Ivan responded bluntly to the young martial artist. Onyx looked at the faunus with surprise. You have a flamethrower on there? Onyx asked. Ivan nodded and smiled up at the martial artist with a mischievous grin. And a rocket launcher and an Athenian Pointer Laser, Ivan responded sounding proud of his mighty weapon. He was used to being launched in the air at Signal for tests all the time he was hardly scared. As he felt himself start descending towards the ground he activated his semblance, surrounding himself with a pale green light around his body. His semblance gave him total control of his own gravity and he used it to help himself float and glide his way to the forest floor. As soon as he landed he deactivated his semblance and drew two blades from his sheaths and checked his surroundings. He didnt see anything and then relaxed. Whew, Perfect landing and no grim, I guess I can relax, Noir said aloud. He was then interrupted by the sounds of growls from behind him. Noir turned around to find himself face to face with an angry Beowulf. The Beowulf swung but Noir jumped back to avoid the swat. Noir charged and slashed the Beowulf arm off with his left arm and then swung his right blade to sever the beasts head. Nailed it, he said proudly. He didnt notice that behind him another Beowulf had snuck up behind him. Noir turned around in horror because he didnt have enough time to counter attack. In a panic he started activating his semblance again when all of a sudden a flash of white and blue crashed into the Beowulf knocking it over. Noir looked in awe in horror finding himself face to face with a white and blue Ursa. Noir looked at the odd creatures feet where the Beowulf laid motionless. The Ursa turned and stared at him. Instead of the burning red eyes most grim had this one had icy blue. Noir repositioned his stance and flipped over his right hand sword so the gun side was facing the new creature. Nice albino looking Ursa, Noir said getting ready to shoot. Just then the Ursa stood up and started shrinking down and losing its glow until what was once the great beast stood a familiar seven-foot-tall giant. Dont shoot, Bastian said holding his hands out towards Noir in defense. Noir sighed in relief thinking he was lucky to get himself out of trouble just now. But the events that just transpired did raise a few concerns with the young swordsman. Howd you do that? And wheres your weapon? Noir asked indignantly. Just then Bastians spear fell blade first into the ground right in front of Bastian. Heres my weapon, Bastian said smiling as he pulled his spear out of the ground. And in regard to me turning into an Ursa, thats my semblance. I can turn into certain grim if I know enough about them. Right now all I can turn into are Beowulves, Ursai, and Nevermores. Bastion responded. Noir jaw dropped. He had never heard of semblance as odd and awesome as that. That is so cool, Noir said loudly. Bastian puffed up with pride when his friend gave the compliment. Well I saw you fly down here, is that your semblance? Bastian asked. Well kinda, Noir answered. You see my semblance grants me total control of my own gravity. I can intensify it or loosen it or even change its center and walk on ceilings or walls as if they were the floor, Noir answered. Bastians jaw dropped and Noir laughed. Anyway I guess this make us partners, we need to start heading to the ruins. Right lets go partner, Bastian said as he walked over to Noir. The two fist bumped and then headed off deeper into the forest armed and ready to complete their first mission. Chapter 05- Queen and Spider (sorry it took so long but here is the next chapter so ENJOY. Please give feedback) AND I THINK ITS THIS WAY! Bastian yelled at Noir. The two had been wondering around the forest aimlessly. They had spent nearly two hours wandering around the forest looking for the stupid ruins but were having absolutely no luck. In that direction is the clifftop where we got launched from, so I highly doubt going that way, Noir responded to his partner. Both boys kept arguing for a bit each yelling louder than the other trying to get their point across that the other was wrong. During the argument though Noir came up with an idea. Okay since we arent getting anywhere by simply just wandering around I got an idea. Lets hear it then, Bastian responded still very annoyed with the situation they had found themselves in. Since wandering around isnt helping why dont we try this; since I can pretty much float why dont you throw me up there and I will see if I can find the ruins from the air, Noir suggested. Bastian looked like he was going to argue but then paused to think about the strange idea. After a couple of seconds Bastian smiled slyly. Okay, Bastian said grabbing the young swordsmans shirt. Up, up, and away, Bastian said as he prepared to throw. As Bastian lifted Noir of the ground Noir activated his semblance giving him control of his gravity. As Bastian let go Noir soared into the sky high above the forest top. He then stopped and started floating in place and looked around. At first all he could see was a forest of emerald trees. However, when he looked towards the south he could see a crevice with what looked like ruins. He smiled feeling proud of himself. He then intensified his gravity so he started falling slowly to the ground. Once he landed he reported what he saw and Bastian smiled at the news. Okay south it is lets go, Bastian said. With a new direction to head in the two young huntsmen headed in the direction Noir had pointed out. After an hour of walking and Beowulf busting the young huntsman made it to the ruins. Finally, we made it, Bastian and Noir said simultaneously in excitement. The ran down and went to an amphitheater. In the amphitheater they saw pedestals each with different chess pieces on them both gold and black. Well I guess the chess pieces are the artifacts, Bastian said. I would assume so, Noir responded. The two training huntsmen looked at the pieces on the pedestals. Noir then found the one he liked: a golden queen piece. Save the queen, Noir said holding the piece up. Why not, Bastian responded shrugging Im all or saving the ladies. Noir rolled his eyes and smiled. He then put the queen in his jacket pocket. Lets head back to the cliffs, Noir then said to Bastian. Bastian nodded in agreement. The two started heading back to the cliffs where they were launched from. After about an hour of silence Noir finally spoke I wonder who our other team members are going to be. I dont particularly care, it really doesnt matter in the end, Bastian responded. Yeah it does, Noir continued I mean whoever has the other queen piece we are stuck with for the rest of our time at Beacon. I would like it if we could work with people. I guess youre right, it would suck if we ended getting someone incompetent, Bastian started to say. Before he got a chance to say anything else he and Noir stepped onto a patch of dead sticks and leaves that then gave way leading thee two huntsmen in training down a dark cave. Oww, Noir started to say getting up. That hurt and whats this sticky crap, he said lifting his hand there was white crap on his hand and pants. He looked over at his giant of a partner who was also recovering from his fall as well. I dont know, Bastian said as he started to stand up. but I dont like it one bit. Neither did we, a familiar voice came from behind. Noir and Bastian quickly turned their attention to nearby wall of the cave. Stuck to the wall was Ivan and Onyx. What are you two doing down here? Noir asked the two newcomers. After getting our artifact we started to head back, but ended falling down here, Onyx replied. I can normally teleport out but unfortunately I cant teleport other people, he then continued to explain pointing at the faunus. So we were waiting to see if someone would come look for us, Ivan said continuing the conversation. I guess that makes a little sense, Bastian then chimed. In Noir looked up they were at least twenty feet down if not more. Noir could fly up but in his head he couldnt carry both Ivan and Bastian at the same time. Then he remembered something and came up with an idea. Hey Bastian, Are Nevermores on your list of things you can turn into? Noir asked. The other three boys looked at him with shock. Onyx and Ivan were confused and Sebastian just cocked an eyebrow. Yeah but not a very big one, Bastian replied I cant carry anyone in my Nevermore form. Thats alright Ill carry Ivan, You fly out, and Onyx could teleport out, Noir suggested. Yeah, Bastian and Onyx said simultaneously. Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. At first all the young huntsmen could see eight red eyes approaching them. Once it came into view the huntsmen were all terrified. For they found themselves face to face with a spider the five time the size of an Ursa major. No sudden movements, we are in the presence of a Morbidantula, Noir said. Noir got his sword handles ready. He watched as the other three got their weapons primed and ready for the fight. The spider screeched and prepared to attack. Noir recognized what the spider was about to do. Disperse, He managed to yell out. The spider shot a web blast. Bastian, Noir, and Onyx managed to dodge the blast Ivan wasnt so lucky. IVAN, Onyx yelled. The three free members watched as the trapped faunus struggled in the web. The Spider moved over towards Ivan in the web trapping. Before the spider could attack the faunus Onyx teleported and lashed one of its front legs. It screeched loudly and turned it attention to Onyx and started trying to thrust its fangs into him. Once it turned its back to Noir and Bastian, Noir thought of a crazy plan. Bastian use ice arrows at each legs to hold it in place, Noir commanded. On it, Bastian said as he quickly turned his spear into its bow form He quickly fired ice dust arrows at the large spiders feet freezing them in place. Noir rushed towards the giant spider he quickly attached two fire blade to his handles as he jumped onto the spiders back. He then thrust the two blades into the spiders dark flesh. Onyx, go free Ivan, Noir yelled. Onyx nodded and rushed to the still thrashing faunus. While Onyx used his weapons to slice the webbing trapping him the spider was more focused on trying to remove the pest that was on its back. With each thrash the spider broke its icy trapping. Bastian did his best to aid his partner by shooting ice arrows to try to refreeze the spiders legs while Noir held on to his swords for dear life. That was rather disgusting, Ivan said to Onyx once he was freed from his sticky imprisonment. We need you my friend, You said you had an Athenian Pointer on your weapon right? Onyx asked. The faunus looked at him and nodded earnestly. Well we kind of need it . Alright I need a few minutes to charge, Ivan said as he grabbed his cross and shifted it into its laser form and started charging. While its charging up, help out Noir, Ivan said. Onyx took off towards the spider. He shot his blade cables into the spider. He then activated his taser to shock the giant spider hissed in agony. Noir jump off, Onyx yelled continue to shock the massive spider. Way ahead of you, Noir yelled back. He let the blades go from his handles and jumped off the massive spider. Once he was clear he pushed the buttons on his handles that caused the blades to explode. The explosion didnt hurt the spider, it seemed to just piss it off more. The spider trashed again breaking free from Bastians ice and Onyx cable. The spider then shot another web trap at Onyx, catching the young huntsman off guard and trapping him. Noir reattached blades to his handles this time bringing out both and ice dust blade and a lightning dust blade. Right as he was about to continue his onslaught he heard Ivan yelling. Charged and ready, the faunus yelled. Noir quickly looked over and saw Ivan hoisting a large laser onto his shoulder. The laser was glowing a bright red. Noir instinctively put his blades back into his sheaths and signaled Bastian to come over. The two grabbed the web trapped Onyx and ran over behind Ivan. The two ducked for cover as the heard Ivan yelling out May heaven have mercy on you, as Ivan released the laser charge sending an enormous read beam at the Morbidantula. The resulting explosion caused part of the cave that had the giant spider to cave in. When the dust settled the four boys could see daylight again. They were now free. Noir and Bastian helped remove the webbing off of Onyx while Ivan returned his weapon to its resting state. Wow that was bit more exciting than expected, Onyx wheezed out once he was free. Just a bit, Bastian said sarcastically. At least we are safe now, Noir said as he stood helping Onyx up. I wouldnt say that, Ivan then said. The other three stared at the faunus who was staring at the rubble in front of them. What makes you that? Bastian asked That, Ivan then pointed to the rubble. The boys saw the rubble shifting. Within minutes they saw a swarm of spiders that were smaller than the one they had just fought but still very large, starting to come out of a hole where the rubble used to be. All in favor of running raise your hands, Noir said nervously. All four huntsmen shot their hands up into the air. Chapter 06- Swarm vs. NOIS (Thank you for your patience. Next chapter is here. Please read, comment, and review) The boys took off as fast as they could from the impending doom. Noir looked to his side and saw Bastian and Onyx. It took him a minute to realize that while they were running they had ended up leaving a member of their team behind. Noir Stopped the other two to turn them around to see Ivan trying to run behind them. Oh come on man, Noir yelled back to Ivan I am not fast, Ivan huffed out back to the other three. Before they knew it a spider had leapt up behind Ivan ready to attack. Before it could Bastian transformed his weapon to bow form and shot a flame dust arrow at the large arachnid. Thanks. Onyx, Get the wolf, Noir yelled. Onyx nodded as he teleported next to Ivan and proceeded to sling Ivan over his shoulder. Onyx then ran to catch up as more spiders started to get closer. Bastian let another volley of arrows fly giving Onyx enough time to catch up. Once the two stragglers caught up the boys took off running. They ran without looking back but they could still here the shrieks of the swarm behind them. If we keep this up, all well do is bring them to the others and get them killed, Bastian huffed while they kept running. How do you expect to take out almost two and half thousand spiders? Ivan yelled from Onyxs shoulders. I have an idea, Noir huffed out but its a bit insane. (Ozpin and Goodwitch POV) We need to help them, Goodwitch yelled at the headmaster. They are the only ones out left who havent come back and they are clearly outmatched. She said pointing to the screen in Ozpins hand. On the screen the two teachers could see the swarm of spiders chasing the four boys. Hold on Glynda, it seems that Mister Pendragon is coming up with an idea, the calm headmaster said. (NOIS POV) YOU ARE BEYOND INSANE! Bastian yelled still running away from the swarm. You with this plan? Noir asked in response. Yup, Hey Onyx toss me the dog, Bastian responded. Onyx threw Ivan to Bastian who caught him with ease. See you in a bit. Bastian then started heading in one direction. Im a wolf by the way, Ivan responded as the two disappeared into the forest. Lets go, Noir said as he started heading off towards the ruins where they had found the chess pieces with Onyx right behind him. It didnt take the two long to make it to the valley where the ruins were. For a time, they had lost the swarm but they knew it wouldnt be long before the spiders caught up. Noir and Onyx headed for a central part of the valley like area. Noir took the sheath from his right side and stabbed it into the ground. He quickly drew a blade from it getting ready for the insuring fight. Do you see the other two? Noir asked as he scanned the surrounding tree line. Onyx then tapped Noirs shoulder and pointed. Between Noir and Onyx the two hacked and slashed their way watching each others back. Both doing their best to fend off the horde before they died. From the tree line Bastian and Ivan stood ready with their weapons watching the swarm rush towards their friends. Ivans Athenian pointer was humming as it charged getting ready for Noirs crazy plan. This plan is dangerous right? Ivan asked as he aimed his weapon at his target. And nuts, Bastian responded Thats why I like it. Shortly after Bastian noticed no more spiders were rushing into the valley meaning they were all in position. Get ready dog boy, he then said as he shot a flame dust arrow into the air. Wolf, Ivan corrected. Noir and Onyx noticed an explosion in the air being their signal to take it to the next step. Thats the signal, get to the others, Noir commanded. Onyx turned facing the other two boys. He then used his semblance to teleport to the base of the tree where Ivan and Bastian were sitting in. Open fire, Onyx told Ivan. Right before Ivan let loose his laser Noir activated his semblance loosening Gravitys grip on him as he leapt high above the trees heading for his friends. Ivan let loose the laser shooting directly to Noirs sheath that was left behind. As soon as the laser came into contact The sheathe Exploded with enough force to scorch the entire valley where the spiders were. Noir landed barrel rolling by his friends. Well that was fun, Bastian said as the four boys admired their work. (At the Ceremony) Ozpin stood on the platform assigning the teams for all the first year students after their time in the Emerald forest. His called the first group and the four boys came to the stage. Ivan Canis, Onyx Howlin, Sebastian Mortick, and Noir Pendragon, Ozpin said addressing the team as they stood shoulder to shoulder next to each other. The four of you retrieved the white queen pieces. Hence forth you will be known as Team NOIS (noise). Led by Noir Pendragon, Ozpin said gesturing to the dark haired swordsman. The other three cheered as the congratulated Noir on becoming leader. Good luck Mr. Pendragon, Ozpin said gesturing for the boys to get off the stage. Noir just smiled. He was quite happy with his team: A lightning ninja, a destructive wolf, a dark giant, and him. He couldnt ask for a better team. Cant wait for tomorrow, he then said aloud smiling. Chapter 07- New Day for Team Noise Noir woke up from a well-deserved rest. He looked around his new room and saw that the rest of his team were still asleep. They had all divvied up the room the night. Ivan had moved hi be into the corner near the bathroom, and decorated his part with only a small desk and some pictures from home. Onyx had taken a section next to Ivans. His form of decorations included posters of various rock singers and two tiny book shelves. Bastian had moved his bed right next to the tiny kitchen in the room and had decorated his section with a small T. V and a modge-podge of movies and video games. That had left Noir with his section; having his bed right next to the window of the room. Noir had decorated his room with posters from various weapons magazines he subscribed to. He finally got a chance to look at the clock and noticed It was 8:30. They only had a half hour to their next class. Wake up! Wake up! Noir yelled as loudly as he quickly got his uniform on. Bastian and Ivan both groggily rose from their beds. Onyx on the other hand jumped out of bed in full uniform ready to go. I dont wanna get up, Bastian yawned out to the others. Noir barely paid him any mind as he was getting his sheaths ready for the day. Onyx walked over and looked over Noir shoulder before finally speaking. You know Noir, I noticed you have two sheaths here, but I thought you blew one up yesterday, Onyx said inquisitively. Correction, Ivan blew up the last one and I have ten, Noir answered. Ten? Onyx asked. Yes, I have four, well now three, here at beacon and I left six at home with my uncle, Noir said clarifying for the sandy haired ninja. By this point Ivan and Bastian were finally up and dressed although due to being the giant he was Bastians coat didnt quite fit right. I cant believe we have to get up this early for class, Bastian tried to say as he got his gear ready to go I mean look at Ivan, gesturing to the faunus who looked like he was sleepwalking. You will survive you big baby, Noir responded as he finished prepping his weapons. But just look at Ivan, hes practically a zombie see? Bastian pointed out. The other two boys looked at their faunus friend. Although being completely dressed in the uniform he was walking very groggily and his ears which were normally pointed up were sagging. Noir and Onyx couldnt help but laugh at Ivan. That is rather unfortunate, Onyx started to say But we should get going we dont wanna be late for our first class. Good point, Noir responded trying to sound in charge. Bastian, grab the wolf and lets get a move on, we only have ten minute to get to class. Yes fearless leader, the giant responded. Bastian grabbed the wolf faunus and slung him over his shoulder and the boys left for their first class. In Professor Ports class the four boys sat towards the top of the rows of bored students. Onyx sat at attention truly paying attention to the lecture the portly man was giving, Noir was writing down notes for later, Bastian was trying to stay awake, and Ivan was snoring through the lecture. Noir took a break from writing notes to get a good look at his classmates. He almost immediately found Ruby and Yang, who were goofing off in the bottom row. He noticed that sitting with the two sisters were two other girls: One who had black hair and a bow on her head, and another with show white hair put up in an odd ponytail, who seemed to be glaring at Ruby while she was goofing off. MR.CANIS! Port finally yelled pointing at the sleeping faunus. Ivans head shot up like a rocket with his ears perked trying to pretend he wasnt asleep. Yes sir, Ivan responded nervously. You sir, have detention for sleeping in class, Port then commanded. A few snickers occurred as Ivan blushed and nodded silently in understanding. Now who can show me that they have what it takes to be a true huntsman or huntress? I do sir, The white haired girl yelled raising her hand. Everyone stared at her. Port accepted her challenge and invited her to the arena area. Hey Onyx, who is she? Noir asked. No clue but it seems she specializes in fencing, Onyx pointed out. The girl had somehow miraculously changed from the school uniform into a white outfit dress that seemed unfit for combat. Wow she seems pretty skilled though look, Noir said pointing to the Arena. Weiss was rushing to get her rapier and she caught the spinning boar off guard and impaled it. Soon after the bell rang and everyone rushed out of the class room. That was pretty boring, Bastian said as the team walked out, with the exception of Ivan. Agreed, Onyx responded. It is a necessary class for us to have, without it we dont know about the Grim we fight, and besides, it could help you learn new forms for your semblance. Huh, didnt think about it like that, the dark giant said putting his hand on his chin to think more about the class. In any rate we dont have our next class till after lunch, Noir started to say. And since lunch isnt for an hour why dont we take a study hall? Or we could go play some games back at the dorm room, Bastian suggested. Noir rolled his eyes at Bastians suggestion. He had thought about going and playing games until lunch but he decided against it. Sorry Bastian Id rather get ahead on the homework, Noir responded. Thats alright fearless leader, Onyx will join the fun in your place, Bastian then said. The sandy haired ninja looked shocked at the idea. Wait what? Onyx managed to get out before Bastian started dragging him away towards the dorms. Noir just smiled as he walked towards the library. On his walk he ran into a familiar face; a man with silver hair dressed in a suit with a green necktie carrying a cane and a cup of coffee. No need for bowing Mr. Pendragon, The headmaster said kindly as he sipped a bit from his coffee. How is your first day going? Pretty good, however one of my team members did get detention for sleeping in class, Noir reported. Ozpin just smiled and shook his head. Ill wager a guess that it was Mr. Canis who was sleeping, Ozpin responded. How did you, Noir started to say before Ozpin cut him off. I am well aware of most of the students personalities and skill sets. Mr. Canis seems like the kind who isnt a morning person, the headmaster then said honestly. Noir just laughed as he couldnt tell the headmaster he was wrong. Any how I will say I was impressed with your performance in the Emerald Forest, I expect your team to continue to impress me. Thank you sir, I am sure we will, Noir responded smiling that the headmaster had given his team a compliment. Good although next time, I suggest not burning down a good portion of school property, the headmaster said as he started to walk away. Noir was almost embarrassed or he would have if he didnt find it funny that the headmaster at one of the best Huntsman academies in Remnant had quite the sense of humor. Noir continued walking to the library. Once he got there he found a couple books on the Grim and looked for a place to sit. He soon spotted an almost empty table. Sitting there was a small girl with her hood over her head trying to read a book. Noir laughed as he walked over to the hooded girl. Okay small child, what happened? Noir asked Ruby. He knew she only wore her hood when she was either nervous or upset. My leadership skills suck, Ruby mumbled. Oh how so? Noir asked. Weiss, one of my team mates thinks all I do is goof off. She yelled at me that Ozpin made a mistake making me a leader, Ruby whined out to Noir Then Ozpin tried to give me a pep talk saying that he doesnt know if he really made a mistake, maybe he really did, so I checked out a book on being a leader. See? She continued holding up a book. Noir shook his head laughing. Can I see that book? Noir asked. Ruby handed it to him. Noir then proceeded to chuck it across the library. I was reading that, Ruby said angrily. Ruby, you cant learn about being a leader by reading about it. To lead your team, you need to have four things: Confidence, Courage, Compassion and Strength. You need confidence in both yourself and your team. Courage to make all the hard choices. Compassion of those around you, and to be strong in body, mind, and spirit. Ruby your team is going to rely on you so you cant fail. After the pep talk from Noir, Ruby took her hood off and smiled up at Noir. Thanks Noir, she said smiling. Noir sat down and the two discussed their two teams. Ruby talked all about Weiss and Blake, and how they had defeated a Giant Nevermore. Noir in turned talked about his team mates and how they took on the Morbidantula and swarm. After a short while the bell rang for lunch. The two friends quickly made their way for the cafeteria. Once arriving there, the two saw their respective teams on opposite ends of the cafeteria. See you later leader, Noir send winking. Ruby smiled as she ran to meet her team. Noir walked over to where his team was chowing down. Bastian and Onyx spent the entire time at lunch arguing about some first person shooter game. Ivan complained about why detention was so unfair. Noir just laughed with his tem. Shortly after lunch they made their way to their next class; combat. On the way the team had to stop by the locker room and dress in their combat gear. While there Ivan ran into a bit of trouble with a larger boy in plate armor with a military haircut. Hey guys, the large new stranger said to three goons that stood with him. Look we got another one here, he continued to say as he started yanking on Ivans ears. The three goons started laughing hysterically. Please kind sir, remove your hands from my ears, Ivan asked politely as he stared up at the massive stranger. Oh the animal has manners, how cute, the plated bully started to say cruelly. Watch who you call an animal, Bastian said as he shoved the bully off of Ivan. It didnt take long for the bully to regain his composure. Youre going to regret doing that, The bully said getting ready to fight. The bully picked up a mace weapon and was about to swing it. Before he got to Noir grabbed the bullys arm stopping him in his tracks. Look, I get youre itching for a fight and I am sure my team would happily oblige but I recommend before we all get in trouble to just gear up and get to our next class which happens to be combat. I am sure we can oblige you then, Noir said coolly tightening his grip. The bully looked around and pulled his arm out of Noirs grip. He motioned for his team to come with him as he bumped Noir out of the way. Who the hell was that guy? Bastian asked as he turned to finish getting ready. His name is Cardin Winchester, captain of Team CRDL (Cardinal), Onyx replied tying his gi and equipping his weapons. Apparently a local bully. I can see that captain obvious, Bastian retorted. Hey Ivan why didnt you fight back? Not worth the effort, Ivan responded as he lifted his axe over his shoulder. At any rate lets get to class I am looking forward to this, Noir said. The other three nodded their heads in agreement as they finished preparing for the class. Once they were finished they made their way to the massive combat room all the teams were sitting all over the stands. Noir had his team sit closer to the bottom of the stands. Almost as soon as they sat down they saw a blonde woman dressed in a white blouse, black skirt and cape enter. Hello class, welcome to Combat 101, I am your instructor Ms. Goodwitch, The woman said messing with her touch pad. How this class will go is that everyone will get opportunities to duel each other in one on one matches. These duels will follow tournament rules; if your aura level hits red you lose ,and you will be graded based on your performance. Any questions? When do we start? A voice from the top stands yelled. Noir and his team turned and saw the bully from earlier slouching on the stands with his goons surrounding him. Immediately Mr. Winchester, starting with you, Goodwitch responded. Cardin grabbed his mace as he walked down to the arena and stood awaiting his opponent. Your opponent will be from Team NOIS, Mr. Ivan Canis. Chapter 08- First Fights (So I got my first review. I must say very insightful and helpful, so thank you for whoever sent it and I would love more. This chapter took a bit longer to do and I hope everyone enjoys. From now on so I have time to come up with my own unique story each chapter may take anywhere from a week to two to post so thank you and enjoy the first fights.) Cardin and Ivan stood forty paces from each other. The large bully was ready for a fight with his mace drawn and ready for action. Ivan just stood there his weapon not even drawn. Suddenly Goodwitch started counting down 3. Cardin tightened his grip and took a combat stance. Ivan just stood like a statue not even reaching for his weapon that was on his back 2, Goodwitch said again. Ivan get ready to fight, Bastian yelled. Dont let that jerk get the best of you. 1, Ivan remained motionless while Cardin tightened his grip. What is he doing? Onyx asked. Noir was wondering the same thing. I dont know but he better get ready before, Bastian started to say before Goodwitch yelled. Begin, Cardin charged and swung his mace at the faunus. Scoring a direct hit, it sent the wolf faunus flying. Ivan got up shakily his head was ringing from Impact as he looked up he noticed Cardin charging at him. Ivan put his arm up to protect himself from the impending strike. When Cardin struck again Ivan didnt go flying but was forced to shift his position. What are you doing Ivan? Bastian yelled. Pull your weapon out, Beat the punk up. While the giant yelled at the faunus, Noir got Onyxs attention while they watched the fight. Do you know why he isnt fighting? Noir asked the ninja inquisitively. Onyx just shook his head quietly as he continued to watch the onslaught down below. Meanwhile, Cardin was just striking the faunus over and over. After nearly a ten minute one sided brawl Ivan fell to the ground and the display with his picture showed his aura level in the red wile Cardins was nearly full. Enough, Goodwitch commanded. The armored bully stopped mid-swing. Match goes to Cardin Winchester, A few cheers from Cardins team came and groans from Bastian and Noir. Goodwitch turned to Ivan who was laying supine on the ground Next time Mr. Canis I suggest fighting back. Now clear the field for the next fight. Immediately, Ivan sprang from his back to his feet like nothing was wrong and walked up to his team as the next match continued. What was that? Bastian demanded of the faunus. What was what? Ivan questioned wondering what was wrong. Ivan, You are definitely strong enough to take that guy, Noir pointed out. In Noirs mind any person capable of blowing up a giant spider should be able to take on a six foot teenage boy. What he found really odd was that Ivan refused to fight at all why didnt you fight back? He is a person, Ivan responded. He was completely rude to you because you were a faunus, Onyx said flatly. That doesnt change that he is a person. We are training to fight monsters not people. It doesnt matter whether faunus or human, friendly or not we shouldnt be fighting other people, Ivan responded. Therefore I refuse to fight a person without a truly justifiable cause to it, and being mean doesnt deserve violence. All of team NOISs mouths dropped at the wolf Faunuss words of wisdom. They had never thought of the match like that. I respect your point of view, Noir finally said. But at least consider trying next time please? The faunus nodded and the four guys went to watching the fight that was currently occurring. They watched as the dark haired girl from team RWBY easily take out another team CRDL member. Very good Ms. Belladonna, Goodwitch said. The dark haired girl bowed quietly in respect of the teacher and left the sparring portion. Now the next pairing is: Team JNPRs Lie Ren, A boy with long black hair dressed in a forest green oriental shirt stood up and made his way to the sparring area. Your opponent will be: from Team NOISs Onyx Howlin. Onyx stood up and walked down to face his opponent. Maybe this one will know how to fight, Cardin yelled from the stands. The two ninjas ignored him both believing Cardin to be an idiot. Before anyone else said anything they walked up to each other and shook hands. Same way we always do? Ren asked giving a warm smile to Onyx. No weapons, No aura? Onyx responded with an understanding of what Ren was asking. Ren nodded in agreement. Gentleman take your places, Goodwitch commanded. Onyx and Ren only backed up five paces each. Both boys took an unarmed stance at each other. After Goodwitch counted down from three and yelled Begin, the boys went at it. Each blow and kick from one the other one countered. Ren would go for a chop and Onyx would block and counterattack. Then before the counter attack could hit Ren would block and try to strike back. A martial art fight, nice, Bastian said eyes glued to the fight down below. I didnt know Onyx was so skilled, Noir responded genuinely shocked at his teammates demonstration. Yupp, the two of them have been training in martial arts for as long as I can remember, A female voice said from Noirs left. He nearly leapt out of his seat from shock when he noticed next to him was a young redheaded girl. Her hair was short and she wore a pink skirt with a corset like top that was black, white, and silver, with a heart shaped hole around her cleavage. Who are you? Noir managed to get out nervously. Im Nora, the girl said over cheerfully. Bastian and Ivan both turned their attention from the fight to face the new stranger who had just appeared next to them. Ivan was the first to respond. Hey, the wolf faunus started youre the girl who played with my ears the first day of school. Yupp, Nora responded with glee. Why are you here? Ivan asked More importantly, what do you mean by those two training as long as you can remember? Bastian asked indignantly. Ren, Onyx, and I grew up together. At school they both learned martial arts, I took a much more, blunt approach, she said giggling mischievously. Noir was starting to feel like this girl was beyond hyper even more than Ruby was. Whenever they get into a sparring match they both have a mutual agreement that they wont use their weapons or aura. Nora then went back to watching to fight barely holding still in her seat. Noir turned his attention back to his team mate who seemed to be holding his own against his opponent with just his sheer skill. Each punch, chop, and kick seemed so precise between the two ninja like huntsmen. Bastian and Nora could barely hold onto their excitement. Finally Bastian let out a shout. Cmon Onyx score one for team NOIS, the giant yelled. Noir and Ivan looked at the massive huntsmen like he was going a bit overboard. Nora glared at the giant before standing on her chair to yell. DONT YOU DARE LOSE REN OR I AM EATING ALL YOUR PANCAKES AND SYRUP, She yelled. Everyone in the room looked at the hyper redhead. Ren pushed Onyx back before turning to address the hyper. Nora, those pancakes are for the entire team not for you to, before Ren could finish He got a full haymaker punch to the gut that sent him flying into a wall cracking it. Keep our focus Ren, Onyx said slyly. Ren couldnt vocalize his response due to be knocked unconscious from the impact. Well done Mr. Howlin, Goodwitch said as she made notes on her scroll pad. Onyx simply bowed to show his gratitude for the praise he had received. However next time I suggest not breaking the school in the process. Yes maam, Onyx responded sheepishly. He then walked back to the rest of his team while the other two members of Rens team gathered him up to the stands. When Onyx made it to the top of the stadium he was greeted with a barrages of high fives from all his team members. Nora sat sourly at glared at him. Thats cheating, the redhead said sulking. Hey all was fair, you shouldnt have distracted him and he shouldnt have been distracted, Onyx said flatly smiling at his triumph. Besides Nora, shouldnt you be sitting with your own team? Nora almost immediately perked up. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. Oh right, she said Bye, she then rushed so fast that it seemed like she disappeared into thin air. Onyx then sat down next to Noir relaxing from his exhausting fight. Goodwitch continued to call out people into matches. The four boys enjoyed watching the fights that ensued after. They Yang take out Dove, a member of Team CRDL and then they watched as Weiss fought against a boy named Jaune, and defeat with great ease. Then they watched Nora smash Sky and finally the dark haired girl from team RWBY beat Russel. After the field cleared again Goodwitch announced the next pairing. Lets see the next pairing is: from Team NOIS, Sebastian Mortick Noir, Onyx, and Ivan cheered as the dark giant got up spear in hand and made his way to the arena. versus Pyrrha Nikos from team JNPR, as soon as Goodwitch had finished speaking a girl with long red hair stood up and started making her way down to the arena. She wore a brown and gold corset like outfit. In one hand she clutched a golden-bronze shield in one hand and gold and red sword in the other. Wow I cant wait to watch this, Noir started to say getting over zealous about the fight that was about to ensue. Bastian has his work cut out for him. Onyx nodded in agreement; Both Noir and Onyx were aware of the reputation that the red headed Amazon had made for herself. Ivan just looked at Noir like he had two heads. What do you mean? the faunus asked his two team mates. Noir turned giving the wolf faunus a look of shock. Pyrrha is a famous fighter from Minstrel, she is famous for being untouchable, Noir stated sounding like a fanboy of the Amazon. Lets see how good they both really are, Onyx said flatly to divert his teams attention from talking to the fight that was ensuing. Down at the Arena the two fighters took their battle stances waiting for Goodwitch to announce for the fight to begin. Begin, the blonde instructor yelled. Pyrrha was the first to attack; she took a defensive stance as she transformed he sword into a hunting rifle and fired a barrage of bullets at the large huntsmen. Bastian spun his spear around blocking the bullets. As soon as she finished firing Bastian wasted no time transforming his weapon to bow form. He quickly shot a volley of ice arrows. The young amazon did her best to dodge the arrows until one made contact with her leg freezing it to the ground. Pyrrha looked surprised. Bastian took advantage of her surprise and transformed his weapon back into a spear. He then charged and he was close enough the thrusted his spear at her. Pyrrha blocked each thrust with her shield. She transformed her weapon into its sword form and thrust it into the ice that had her leg captive once her leg was free she used the momentum from his lunge on her shield to push him off balance, and then she swung her sword. Crap, Bastian said out loud. Before the sword could come into contact with him he flipped his spear over his shoulder and blocked her strike. His spear continued towards the ground until it pierced the ground. Then Bastian used his spear like a pole and spun round landing a massive kick sending trrhe amazon flying off balance. As she landed prone on the ground Bastian took his spear out and rushed over and lunged at her aimed directly for Pyrrha. The spear looked like it was about to pin her down before a strange sensation came and suddenly his spear slightly missed and hit the ground near her arm with the spear. She then regained her composure and spun kicking the back of his leg bringing the giant to his knees What the heck just, Bastian started to say. Before he could finish Pyrrha used her shield to smash the giant in the face stunning him. She then quickly before he could regain his composure grappled his head with her legs. She then spun around bringing the massive huntsman with her and smashing him on the ground, knocking him out. Im sorry, Pyrrha said as she stood up. She put her weapons away and tried to wake up Bastian. The giant was completely out cold from the unexpected impact. Goodwitch had a medic summoned and two men with a stretcher came and barely got the large huntsmen out. Ivans jaw dropped at the sight he just saw. She knocked him out, Ivan said sounding scared of what just happened. Noir just busted out laughing. Like we said untouchable, Noir said still laughing. He knew that Bastian would have trouble against the famed warrior. I cant wait to see the next fight. That may be hard to do, Onyx said responding to Noirs comment. What does that mean? Noir said responding to his ninja teammate. By my calculations the next match is, Onyx started to say before Goodwitch cut him off. To conclude our first day the final match will be between from Team RWBY, Ruby Rose, versus Noir Pendragon from Team NOIS. Noir face palmed himself, he never expected his first match up to be against Ruby. He reluctantly got up and went to the arena, dragging his sheaths behind him. When he arrived he noticed Ruby was standing forty paces away from him with Crescent Rose drawn and ready for combat. He thought to himself for a little girl she seemed intimidating with the scythe. Noir cmon, get serious, Ruby said almost giggling Lets show everyone what Signal kids can do. Noir smiled, the girl looked so hyped for the fight. Alright then, Noir responded. He stabbed his handles into each sheath, from one he pulled a light blue sword blade and in the other he pulled a green sword blade out. He then dropped both sheaths and got his into his combat stance. Ruby looked at the dark haired swordsman with a confused look on her face. Only two? Ruby asked confused. Yupp only two, to challenge myself, Noir responded. No offense Noir, but you will need more than two blades to beat me, Ruby said sounding confident in her abilities. Noir smirked in response. Care to make a wager on that? Noir asked. Sure, when I win you let me drive Hornet for the weekend. And when I win I get your secret cookie jar, Noir responded with. Deal, Ruby responded. Goodwitch then announced for them to start their fight. Ruby rushed in a red flower petal blur she stopped behind Noir giving a full swing at him. Noir quickly blocked with the blue blade. Before Ruby could process what happened he flipped his grip on his green coated blade and fired a shot. A powerful air gust hit Ruby full force sending her flying backwards. Noir quickly pivoted around and fired from the blue blade a few ice shots at Ruby. Ruby used a few strikes from Crescent Rose to block the Ice blasts. Noir then rushed the young girl swords swinging. Ruby fired a few rounds from the sniper rifle scythe. Noir easily blocked the shots with his blades. As soon as he got close enough Ruby tried to use her rose twister technique to maneuver around Noir. As she started the twister Noir fired from his Air dust blade knocking ruby off balance and prone to the ground. Before Ruby could get up he fired a few blast of ice onto Rubys hands and legs immobilizing the red headed huntress. Before she could break free Noir proceeded to sit on the girl and activated his semblance; intensifying his gravity so it was twice as normal. Surrender, Noir said playfully. I will never give up, Ruby started to say. She then broke the ice on her legs and tried to push up off the ground. Suit yourself, Noir responded, he then intensified the gravity to five times normal. Ruby fell back onto the ground now could barely move from Noirs increasing weight. It didnt take long in this state before Ruby to speak. Okay okay, I surrender, Ruby managed to croak out. Noir deactivated his semblance and stood up. He proceeded to help the young girl up. She put away her scythe and then put her hands on her hips. Just so you know you cant kill a grim by sitting on it, Ruby said snottishly. Noir laughed at her silliness. Maybe not, but I did win the cookie jar, I expect it delivered to my room before dinner, Noir said. He then turned around and grabbed his sheaths leaving a slightly devastated Ruby in the arena. Chapter 09- NOISy trouble ( Sorry to all my readers it is taking awhile to write I am busy with life but good news is I have a good portion of story line ready so hopefully it won''t take as long to write. Not much action but don''t worry it will come and we are coming close to the end of season 1 of RWBY well in comparison to when the story is taking place. Anyhow enjoy the chapter and as always like and review) Noir had been at beacon for almost a month and this was the first time he had been summoned to the headmasters office. Noir paced in the elevator as it went up the tall tower. It didnt take long for him to hear a ding and the elevator door opened. The room it opened to was large and open. The floor was clear glass where Noir could see the gears of the massive clock that was outside. Right across from him was a large window with a desk in front of it. At the desk sat the silver haired headmaster drinking his coffee and reading something on what looked like a larger version of a scroll. Noir stepped out of the elevator and coughed to get the headmasters attention. Ozpin looked up and as soon as he saw noir turned off his device and stood up. Good afternoon Mr. Pendragon, would you please come have a seat Ozpin said as he gestured towards a seat in front of the desk. Yes professor, Noir responded respectively. Noir walked quickly across the glass floor and sat down in the seat in front of the desk. As soon as he did Ozpin also sat down in his chair behind the desk and stared at Noir with a slightly intimidating stare. Do you know why you are here today, Mr. Pendragon? Ozpin asked breaking the awkward silence between the two. Honestly sir, I have no idea really, Noir started to say. I mean I havent broken any rules and I have also kept my grades up. So I do have to ask why am I here? Ozpin chuckled at Noirs response to his question. Noir, I havent summoned you here because you did something wrong specifically, Ozpin responded sipping his coffee. I called you in here because I have some concerns with your team. My team? Noir asked, confused by Ozpins statement. Yes, Ozpin started to explain well I guess you can say its more about two members of your team: Ivan Canis and Sebastian Mortick. What about them? It has been brought to my attention that Mr. Canis excels in almost all of his classes except combat class, Ozpin started to say. In fact most of the time he lets his opponent beat up on him without really fighting back. Cases in point; Cardin Winchester, Nora Valkyrie, Blake Belladona, Yang Xiao Long, and even yourself once. I know he is a more than capable fighter, both from his performance in the Emerald Forest and praise from his sponsor. Can you tell me why he refuses to fight? Noir scratched the back of his head ruffling his black hair even more than it already was. He had felt bad about beating on Ivan the week before when they were sparring, but he did expect Ivan to fight back eventually. Even though Ivan told him Noir still barely understood himself why Ivan refused to fight. All he has told us is that he believes he should only fight when it is necessary and fighting other people just to hurt them isnt what he calls necessary. Thats the best answer I can give you in that regards sir, Noir said trying his best to explain Ivans motives. Ozpin looked concerned by Noirs response but ten continued the discussion. Lets come back to that, he said to shift topics In Mr. Morticks case it seems we have a little too much violence going on. It seems he is irritable during classes causing him to get detentions more often and during combat class he seems to go a bit overboard not knowing when he should be holding back. I noticed that too sir, Noir said sadly. In addition to that sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night he isnt in the room but later in the morning I find him sleeping in his bed like he had been there for hours. That may explain a little bit of what has been going on, I think. Ozpin still looking concerned nodded at the young mans response. If I may ask sir, why are you telling me this, why not talk to the two of them about it? These kinds of situations arent yet real problems for me to deal with however they are issues that do need to be addressed. As a leader it is your job to make sure your team is in the best shape both on and off the battlefield, Ozpin explained. In Ivans case try to convince him to at least try during combat. With Sebastian, I think you should try figuring out what he does at night that makes him so irritable. Sir, with all due respect is that really necessary? Noir asked. Ozpin smiled warmly as he took another sip from his coffee mug. Indeed, if you cant keep your team straight when things are peaceful, explain how you can keep them in line during Combat when you start having disagreements? Ozpin responded still smiling. Noir pondered a little of what his headmaster was trying to tell him. Alright, I will talk to my team, Noir said finally. Very good, you are dismissed, Ozpin said. Noir got up and hastily walked to the elevator as he pushed the button to summon it he heard Ozpin say Oh Noir, Noir turned his head to look at the headmaster who was still sipping from his coffee I recommend returning Ms. Roses cookie jar, she seems to miss it a lot. Once the spear transformed he pulled the bow string back to make an arrow, however he quickly found out why the spear was ditched it was out of dust ammo. Okay Ill have to fight this caveman style at least theres only one. Immediately after he said that a huge group or the Beowulves appeared. Never mind. Onyx lunged with the spear at one killing it. He then found himself surrounded by the Grimm. Before they could attack a flash of Blue and white came knocking the Beowulves over. Onyx looked up and found he was staring at what he thought was albino Ursa grimm. Before he could react the Ursa just started attacking the Beowulves leaving Onyx alone. Onyx decided to not look a gift horse in the mouth and started attacking the Beowulves that the massive bear creature missed. For a while the two managed to hold their own however after a bit though they became very overwhelmed by the massive waves of beasts attacking them. By this point there were an only handful of grimm left and Noir swiftly took care of all of them slashing and stabbing all the normal colored grim. By the time he finished his swordplay the only grimm standing was the oddly colored Ursa. Are you two alright? Noir asked Onyx and the Ursa. Yeah but whyd you spare the Ursa? Onyx inquired nervously. The Ursa then started to grow smaller and no longer glowing. Once the transformation had been completed where the Ursa was standing was Bastian who looked just as exhausted as Onyx. Bastian? Afterwards, I transformed and started following him. I ended up losing him and then noticed Onyx trying to fight the Beowulf pack by himself and the rest should be a bit self explanatory. Well I think it would be best not to keep going. Lets head back and get to bed, Noir suggested. The other three boys nodded in agreement and started heading back. They had just started walking away when Ivan heard something buzzing. Get down, the faunus yelled as he tackled Noir to the ground before a buzz saw blade cut him. The four boys then saw the buzz saw swerve up and attach itself to a handgun held by a sinister looking man in a tree. It seems a target just comes to me, the man said wickedly. Oh how lucky I am. Chapter 11- Tybalt The sinister man jumped from the tree he was standing doing a superhero landing in front of the boys . As he stood up the boys got a better look at him. He was average height with a medium build. His hair was dark and cut messily. He wore a red shirt with a large X on it, a dark cloak and surprisingly white pants. Who are you? Noir said as he stood up. He then quickly drew two blades from his sheaths and got into a battle ready stance. Noir, Ivan interrupted as stood up himself. I thought you knew, this is the guy you were chasing when you met Onyx and Me. Are you sure? Absolutely, the faunus responded. Noir then looked back at the dark stranger. Alright what do you want with Ruby? And be careful that I like your answer, Noir said trying to intimidate the stranger. The stranger laughed sinisterly. Whats so funny? When the blast hit the ground the boys could hear the crackling sound of lightning come from the balls. Before Noir knew it the stranger was less than a foot away from him swinging the now spinning buzz saws at him. Noir parried with his swords as sparks were formed from the spinning blade. You guys get out of here, Noir yelled to his teammates. Noir knew his team may get killed in the unprepared state they were in. Onyx was unarmed and low on aura, Bastian was out of ammo and also low on aura, and Noir knew this guy was too fast for Ivan to get a decent hit. GO, he roared to get them to move. He then knocked then knocked the maniac back. Noir then took the time o reposition himself to Ivan. You and Bastian help get Onyx out of here now, Noir restated hoping the other three would listen. The murderous stranger launched the spinning buzz saws again. Before they hit Ivan unleashed his giant axe and deflected the blades from Noir. We can still fight, Ivan said ready to fight. I agree, Bastian said holding his spear looking completely exhausted. I am clearly not winning this argument; when we get a chance I need to teach you guys about insubordination. Bastian you Onyx are low on aura you two should take time to rest though, Noir stated admitting defeat to his team mates. I can fix that, Ivan responded. Really? All three boys asked the faunus. Noir then took the time to charge his opponent swinging his blades at the murderous stranger. Im all ears, Bastian responded. The two then had a quiet discussion that the assailant couldnt hear. The assailant then launched the spin blades at the two boys. In response Bastian dropped his spear and transformed into a boarbatusk and started rolling. The spinning blades bounced off of the tough skin as Bastian rolled towards the assailant. The assailant jumped right over Bastian but wasnt quite fast enough to dodge the slashes from Noirs blades which literally tore the assailants shirt to pieces. When the assailant landed a newly revived Onyx teleported right in front of him and round hous kicked him in the face. Dam, One I can handle, two maybe, but I wasnt quite prepared for all of you, The assailant said as he stood up from his beating and faced the four boys now staring down at him. For now, Ill retreat. But before I go I have a warning for you Mr. Pendragon, he said looking straight at Noir. Noir noticed his eyes were very red about as red as Yangs when she was angry. I will be after you and I will get you so watch your back for Tybalt; For you see once you become my target, your fate is cursed, and with that last statement he turned himself into smoke and disappeared. I dont know but regardless lets call it a night, I think tomorrow we should work on our team attacks, Noir joked. The other three werent amused but nodded their heads in agreement. Once the four boys had made it back to the training grounds they had found a surprise waiting for them in the form of Port, Goodwitch, and Ozpin. Goodwitch and Port looked ready for a fight and Ozpin stood calmly with his cane and coffee mug as he approached the boys. Team NOIS; is there something youd like to tell me?
