《Rise of the Magic Emperor》 ~ Prologue ~ [Edited] In a world where Magic have existed since its creation, a world named Fernia. In this world lies the vast and only continent of Esthia. As a variety of races lives on it. The most noticeable out of all of them are the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen and Demons. Every single one of them formed groups and communities. The Humans settled at the Western part of Esthia, East of it, is the largest forest in the entire continent, the place where the Elves lives in while the Dwarves occupied its mountainous regions. In the South is where the Demons reside while the Beastmen rules the North, this places was later known as the Northern Continent, Eastern Continent, Western Continent and Southern Continent while in the middle of this Four Continents and also the largest land out of the four is the place where the minority lives in, some build villages and others ruled mountains, plains, forest and swamps, this place was later known as the Lands of Despair and its inhabitants were then called monsters. While the inhabitants of the Four Continents started to develop and learned more about Magic, they also started expanding throughout the lands as their population grew bigger as time passed on. Everyone of this race was ruled only by a single family when they united their people except for one, it was the Humans, as most of them are divided in groups with a leading family that leads them. The leaders of this groups had their own lands as their territory as they borded each other but because of this the leaders started eyeing for it until it sparked the very first war in the history of Esthia and this people only had a single goal¡­Land Expansion! The leaders was blinded by their greed for more lands to rule, as they send thousands upon thousands of people to their deaths. This war lasted for 7 years and as the remaining leaders was forced to stop when they realized that their population became thinner that some of them had even signs of rebellion, because of it all leaders signed an agreement to finally end this war. This Leaders then crowned themselves as Kings of their lands and their family was then called Royalty. Finally, the Western Continent had 12 Kingdoms built on it. This event was later knowned as the First Human War. After this event, peace was finally regained in the Western Continent and these peace lasted for only a thousand of years before hordes of monsters started coming out from the Lands Of Despair, they started pillaging villages, raiding towns and attacking cities of every Kingdom in the entire Esthia leaving behind destruction in their wake, even the Elves and Dwarves who lives in places considered as natural fortresses wasn¡¯t spared from it. All the Kings and Queens finally moved their armies to fight off the horde of monsters and pushed them back to their lands. The monster horde were mostly consisted of weak monsters like Goblins, Orcs, Kobolds, Ogres, Packs of Wolves and Lizardmen while the strongest being only Wyverns and groups of aerial type monsters. Even though they are mostly consisted of weak monsters, they are but numerous in numbers especially the goblins and orcs. In these war between the monsters, most battles always ends in a one-sided defeat, like the Beastmen as they would take advantage of their powerful physical abilities in their battles as they wreck havoc on the horde especially that they are mostly made up of weak monsters while there are also some of the Beastmen who could use magic like the Fox people, the Demons aren¡¯t that much different from the Beastmen, as they would massacre the monsters through magic from a distance before they could reach them as they are more adept in the usage of magic and a frontal confrontation if they manage to reach them because of this the monsters were to flee to their lands, even then the Demons and Beastmen would still have some casualties between hundreds or thousands. They are also the first one¡¯s to make the monsters retreat to their lands. Both Elves and Dwarves didn¡¯t had much of a hard time in dealing their battles as they still have terrain advantages, the Elves would unleashed a rain of arrows and magics onto the horde of monsters and the only one they had a hard time dealing with are the aerial type monsters as they would swoop down on them as they let go of them mid flight killing them in the process. The Dwarves used the terrain around them to their advantaged by using crossbows to deal the monsters climbing up the mountains while they used ballista to deal with the aerial monsters. The only ones who had the hard dealing with the monsters are the humans even though all the Human Kingdoms united against the monster horde, at first they started gaining ground as they slowly pushed back the monsters back to their lands but not until the Wyverns and aerial monsters joined the battle. When those monsters finally appeared, the humans for the very first time started losing their ground, more and more people started dying one after the other not until powerful warriors and mages slowly started coming out one after another and there¡¯s 12 of them as they represent their own respective kingdoms, with these people taking the lead in battle, changed started, as they crushed the monsters with their every confrontation, the only reason is because of these 12 people, as those warriors uses their powerful battle skills on wreacking havoc in the battlefield while the mages would cast AOE spells that would kill thousands upon thousands of monsters. As these 12 people was later known as the 12 Divine Heroes but the truth is that these 12 Heroes are actually the respective Kings of their Kingdoms. And after 4 years of bitter fighting the monster horde was finally defeated and retreated back to their homelands and peace was finally regained in the entire continent of Esthia. It would have ended faster if weren¡¯t for some of the monsters who could use magic. This event was then known as the War of the Races. The peace lasted for another 10,000 years until one day the Demon Emperor wanted to conquer the entire Continent. I hope you enjoyed it! :D Chapter 1 - Thunderstorm In the dark stormy night, in the land of Vern, a heavy rain poured down as it swept and cleanse the land. Thunder booms as loud as a Dragon¡¯s Roar resonated while lightning¡¯s strikes down randomly scaring the residents as they took shelter in their warm and comfy homes as they wait for the storm to pass. . . . . . . . . In a certain home of a family and inside one of its rooms, there¡¯s currently a group of people consisting of 3 women and a man. One of them is a pretty little girl probably in the age of 10 and she seems a little excited and a middle aged woman while the other one has the same facial features as the little girl, this woman is very beautiful as she¡¯s screaming while currently giving birth as she grips one of the arms of the man beside her, as the man¡¯s look changes from nervousness and excitement. ¡°Madam, please bear with it, the head is already coming out¡± said the middle-aged woman as the body of the baby slowly came out. ¡°Wahh ! Wahh !¡± screamed the baby as the woman carefully wipe the blood around him. ¡°Madam, it¡¯s a boy¡± she said as she carefully brought the baby to his mother, as she slowly goes out of the room. The eyes of the woman was moist as she look at her son in her arms while showing an attractive smile as she also prepared to breastfeed him. ¡° I finally have a little brother and he¡¯s so cute, hehe¡± giggled the little girl as she carefully pinch his cheek as she smiled sweetly revealing two of her dimples. ¡°Yes dear, so make sure to take care of him in future, ok?¡± she said to her daughter smiling while the little girl enthusiastically answered her ¡®I will mommy¡¯. And she turned to the man beside her who¡¯s been silent until now. ¡°Look honey, our son is so cute and he looks just like me, right?¡± she said while she carefully brought the baby into his arms. ¡°Yes, he looks just like you honey, I wonder what¡¯s his name will be?¡± answered the man wearing a stiff smile while looking at his son in his arms, as it seems he was afraid to make her wife who just went to labor unhappy so he just agreed to it. And at the question of her husband, the woman slowly pondered for a suitable name as the two people around her patiently waited for an answer, and as the woman slowly turned outside the window where currently a rampaging thunder storm is sweeping the lands, a thought struck her ¡°Raijin, like a rampaging thunder storm that sends fear to the hearts of anyone¡± she thought to herself and she look at the two ¡°Raijin, my son¡¯s name will be Raijin, Raijin Silverfang¡± she said to them smiling, as she lovingly look at her son. . . . . . . . . . ¡°Uwah, Eh?¡± the young man was shocked as he finds out that he was surrounded by darkness. ¡°Hmmm, now that I remember i died in a car accident, fuck its my first time going out and i just died like that, how unlucky of me¡± he thought to himself as he remembered the things that happened before he died. As the young man looks around, the only thing he could see are darkness and he ask himself ¡°Is this what hell looks like?¡±. As he was pondering more about it, he suddenly saw a small light, as he was slowly being drawn into it. ¡°Wahh!what¡¯s happening!?¡± he bellowed but no words came out as the light slowly got bigger, as he felt himself grew warm. By the time he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a ceiling. ¡°Im still alive!?¡± he tried to shout but only the word ¡°wah!wah!¡± came out, he then felt his somebody moving him and there he saw a woman holding on him while wiping his body. ¡°Why is she so big and why am i small?¡± he asked himself, then he heard the woman say. ¡°Madam, its boy¡± as he was brought into the arms of a woman. He raised his head and there he saw a very beautiful woman with green hair and a pair of blue eyes that match her beautiful facial features that makes her more attractive and as he continued to gaze at the woman, a shocking thought came to his mind and only then did he finally realised one thing. As he was enjoying his drink, he felt someone pinching his cheeks as he also heard a sweet voice of a little girl along with it ¡° I finally have a little brother and he¡¯s so cute, hehe¡± when he tried to look for the owner of the voice, he saw a little girl, who was attentively looking at him with an excited face as she giggled everytime she pinched him, this girl almost has the same facial features as his mother so she assumed that its his sister on how she called him ¡®little brother¡¯and the only difference between her and their mother is her eyes, it was brown ¡°Uwahh, this girl looks like mother and she also has a pretty face even though she¡¯s still a child, im sure when she grows up she¡¯s gonna be a beauty like mom¡± as he started daydreaming about his sisters mature self, he suddenly started chanting ¡°Im not a siscon¡± in his mind. He then heard her mother answer his sister ¡°Yes dear, so make sure to take care of him in the future, ok?¡± then his sister enthusiastically answered her ¡° I will mommy¡± as she keeps pinching his small cheeks. ¡®Aiya, this sister of mine is really cute¡¯ as he thought to himself. His mother then turned to the man beside her who¡¯s been silent this whole time ¡°Look honey, our son is so cute and he looks just like me, right?¡± as she asked him while bringing her son into his arms. This person has a slim build and probably around the age of early thirties, he has a shoulder length black hair and a pair of sharp brown eyes and he¡¯s quite handsome for his age as he answered his wife with a stiff smile as he carefully took the baby into his arms while smiling and looking at him ¡°Yes, he looks just like you honey, what do we call him then?¡± as he asked back. When the little guy heard those words he suddenly became attentive as it concerned his name. ¡®Mom please give me a cool name, my god I don¡¯t want a lame one again¡¯ as he silently prayed while having some expectations. After a short while, it seems his mother finally decided of a name as she look at the two people with her, as she smilingly said ¡°Raijin, our son¡¯s name will be Raijin, Raijin Mowbray. When her husband heard the word ¡®Raijin¡¯, he looked at his wife in shock, who was currently looking at their son but when he saw the loving look of his wife, he smiled as he look outside the window where a thunder storm is currently occurring and then to his son while muttering ¡°Raijin, like a thunder storm¡±. The little girl didn¡¯t know what Raijin means but when she heard her mother say those words, she giggled while thinking ¡®what a cool name for my little brother, hehe¡¯ . . . . . . . . . . When he heard the word Raijin, he was amazed at how amazing her mother is for thinking a name like that, as he silently thought. Raijin, like a thunder storm that brings destruction to places that it passes by while leaving behind a new hope, tsk tsk what a badass name, Mom, you¡¯re the best! From now on my new name is Raijin, Raijin Mowbray! Raijin being stuck in a body without the ability to do anything but to patiently wait for the day when he could move his body on his own. He would cry as a baby would when he¡¯s hungry or made a mess, but other than that his days is mostly spent in silence staring at the ceiling or sleeping. From what he could gather so far, he was born in a large mansion with his parents and his elder sister with some people who serves the family. Surprisingly, the Mansion only had six bedrooms, a large study, a hall where guest are entertained, a huge kitchen, a large bathroom with a huge pool like bathtub in it. The first time he was brought outside, there was the Servant and Guard¡¯s Quarters in separate buildings 200 yards away behind the mansion with a Training Field just in between, he was able to estimate that the Guard¡¯s Quarters could be occupied by at least a hundred people while the Servant¡¯s Quarters is only limited to 20 - 30 people. . . . . . . . . . . . As days and seasons passed by, Raijin is now turning one. His understanding and knowledge of his new surroundings had finally become more clearer to him. He eventually realised that his family was not only rich but one of the major nobles in a Kingdom called Vern. His father is Zion Mowbray, his mother is Lerna Mowbray and Jasmine Mowbray is his elder sister. His family has a Marquisdom as their territory, Zion being the current Lord while Lerna helps him in every way she could and his sister Jasmine goes to an academy known as Elinwerth Academy, a school that teaches its students on how to effectively use magic and to learn more about it. . . . . . . . . . . . . Today, just outside the gates of the Mowbray Household, is an army of two hundred fifty soldiers, lined up in two rows and all them are wearing a black full body armor with red like veins on the surface on every part and on both their shoulder guards is the head of a ferocious looking wolf and all of them having similar mounts called the Blazing Fire Horse and in between them is a luxurious carriage with a banner of a wolf on it. Suddenly, three people came out from the gates, one of them is Lerna wearing a light green dress and beside her is Raijin, whom surprisingly could already walk on his own as he also curiously look at the the army in front of them and the man beside them Zion wearing a combination of a robe and an armor with a sword on his waist and on his back is a cape with the family¡¯s insignia, a wolf head with two long fangs. So this is my family¡¯s personal army and this only a small part of it, all of them are wearing similar armors, even similar mounts and those horses, their manes even their tails is made of fire and based from their aura alone, all of them are elites, how awesome! His parents decided to visit their relatives in the Imperial City and on the way to also learn how Jasmine is doing on her studies in Elinwerth Academy and they also wanted to take Raijin in a short ¡°stroll¡± around the Imperial City, as its also been a long time since they last visited the city. ¡°My Lord, My Lady and little lord¡± said a muscular man while smiling at them and he also had a similar armor as the rest but the difference is that he wears a red cape, on it is the insignia of the Mowbray family. ¡°Are we ready to depart, Commander?¡± asked Zion smiling while Lerna just smiled and nodded at him then returned her attention back to Raijin who seems somewhat really excited. ¡°Yes my lord, all preparations are already done¡± he said, this man is Reynard Ducant, he¡¯s the the current commander of the Black Wolves Army, an army who serves the Marquis of Mowbray. This man has been in the army since Raijin¡¯s grandfather who was the previous Marquis, the most surprising thing is, this man is already 77 years old but he looks like a man in his forties, this the result of someone who could use magic as it could lengthen their lifespan for up to 150 years while some could even reach 160 years of age. After the three entered the carriage, Reynard also mounted his horse, as it ran towards the front of the formation while he shouted ¡°LET US DEPART!¡± ¡°YES!¡± replied the soldiers, as they started galloping towards the city gates. Inside the carriage, Raijin was curiously and excitedly looking outside the carriage window as a lot of thoughts is currently going on his mind. This is my first time going out of our state, I wonder how the world outside looks like¡­. . . . . . . . What a big sword! Look at that hot woman, so beautiful What kind of animal is that!? Its so big! What¡¯s that smell!? Its smells good, it makes one hungry Uwah!! Is that the famous Adventurer¡¯s Guild!? How cool! And look at those people they must be hefty strong This world is really awesome! Im lucky that I was born into this world! Ohhh! The wood was split in half! Did he used magic? How COOL is that! I wonder when I could also use magic. As Raijin was excitedly looking outside in interest, he didn¡¯t notice that his parents is looking at him happily, happy that their son was showing a reaction like this as a normal kid should. It was when Raijin was able to walk when he was only 10 months old that his parents was surprised about it and what made even more surprised was what he did first, as they saw him went to their library as he started pulling books on the lower shelves of the book shelves and they saw him open as he started skimming through it just like an adult would do. At first they thought that their son was only curious so they let him be but when it happened continuously for 3 days, Lerna and Zion was both scared and happy. Of course Raijin wasn¡¯t an idiot as he already noticed his parents had been observing him since he started walking and reading books so he already made preparations about it. On the 4th day he noticed that both his parents was looking at him weirdly and he then finally decided to put his plans into action, he turned towards them then said ¡°Mama¡­.Dada¡± when those two heard those words that came out from his mouth, both of them was startled like someone made a prank on them then Lerna dashed towards him and started hugging him while crying and only after a while did Zion realized that his wife was already hugging his son while crying, he was so happy that he gave both of them a bear hug as a huge smile was plastered on his face. After they realized that their son must be a genius based from his previous actions, they just let him do whatever he wanted as they just silently watched after him. After 15 days of travelling on the road without any mishaps happening, they finally reached their destination safely¡­.
