《McShot's Crazy House: Many Stories in One Setting, It's an Anthology!》 McShot 0.00.01 Welcome to the Fun House Creak. The door has opened. Step. Step. You make your way inside, looking left and right. Gorgeous paintings hang in every corner of your eye, but never directly in the center of it. Before you is a wide set of stairs adorned with a red carpet, with a man with a funny hat seated at the end. He has a nice big smile, accompanied by a finely combed black beard not accompanied by a equal amount on the head. Seeing you make your way in, the man jumps from his leather chair in his green coat and green pair of pants. A cane appears in his hand as he bounces the end of it on the floor and shoots out to the spot directly in front of you, barely a pause to the outstretched hand he offers you. "Greetings sir and/or madam, I am not one to judge," he says eagerly taking your hand and leading you up the stairs. "As you can tell by all of the titles and whatnot my name is the wonderful, illustrious, etc. etc. Mr. McShot! And now you are my guest, and I''m not letting you leave until you get a nice eyeful of all my wondrous things." Taking a left, or was it a right, he leads you up another set of stairs to a hall filled with doors. Each door has a number on it, a number that seems to make your eyes have a hard time settling on it. "Each door contains a story, one of a different world and a different man/ woman/ thing trying to achieve their goal. I try and label them from time to time but it can get a little boring sometimes, so sorry if you get lost." Walking on, McShot points to doors here and there. "In here, time is hard to track. Thus, it may seem like something already happened or you skipped something and immediately find yourself back at the source. All I can do is give a helping hand." The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. With an exaggerated gesture he points to the big title that opened this section of the story for you. "Here''s the key to understanding which story is which so listen, read, hear, smell, and taste carefully. The first set of numbers represents the door you had entered, and what world it is. The second set of numbers illustrates the phase in the story it contains, almost like a chapter. Some will forever remain ones while others may grow past a one. As for the last set, it is the chronological order since you''ve been here. It starts from 1 and counts up, this isn''t the standard .1 is greater that .01 but rather the 0 before the number illustrates the times you return to my house. Understand? "While you may not care for what is behind the door, you may care for the return from the door so keep a look out for that pesky 0 in the third string. Now that that is settled, try and pick a door! ... After I get my lunch of course, and remember you as well." McShot 1.01.02 Generic Fantasy Romance #72942 BOOM! Step back now because a lot of text is coming your way! ...... Okay, maybe not that much. But you still have to read and understand it! As you can tell, I love the floating subtext voice. No quotation marks required! Now I can be in your head all day, insert lol here. What were we here for again? Oh, right. The plot for this very generic story. Bleh. It''s so generic it doesn''t really have a name. Just "Generic Fantasy Romance etc. etc." In the world of Cogus, the world is divided into two halves. Well, more like three quarters and the left out quarter. No, we aren''t going to talk about the misfortunates who were left out. They got lucky! Those in the other quarters got powers which means they have to fight! It''s a martial arts world like from CD, WDQK, and other wuxia related stories. (Don''t ask me what wuxia is, all I know is that is kicks a load of %#*. $^%#, the cursing police are on me, It''s my house and I''m allowed to curse as much as I want!) Back on topic, the world is one where combat happens and people strive to reach the topic and can create prosperous families. In this world, there was a great Four-Elemental who commanded Earth, Fire, Water, and Air to vanquish his enemies in glorious combat! It''s the Avatar, NOPE. Four-Elementals typically take up commander positions so let''s get that out of the way real quick. However, as with any cultivating world. For reasons of wealth and talent most people cannot master control of an element without years of study and training. Just saying, because I get bored sometimes with underdogs. Oh, they are about to lose. Nope. Deus Ex Machina guys. I hate playing with that guy, he always gets the right thing to win. Not cheating my Ass. !!! Yay, I can curse now. I feel better already. Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. Okay, so that Elemental named Wellson Grain had many great exploits before finally retiring and rearing himself a kid. Taking the kiddo from the confines of the city to the wastelands in the mountains (Because there always has to be mountains) he begun to teach his son everything about the four elements so that the kid will become a great fighter just like his old man. Best dad ever. (At least the kid is getting attention unlike a certain kid in TFS abridged. Come on, I want more episodes already. It''s an addiction.) Now Greatson Grain, (I know right, the naming sense of this family.) is 15-16 years old and has mastered nearly all of the elements thanks to his talent when suddenly his father comes into contact with a unknown Four-Elemental who brutally kills him right in front of Greatson. (Then the kid becomes Batman! JK, the kid tears up and cries like a pansy.) Done crying, Greatson realizes that the four elements aren''t enough and works to develop a new element. Lightning! Needing vast resources he goes to the one thing every one of these stories needs. School! There is where we get the romance aspect. Inside he meets a girl who makes him practically forget about getting revenge on the man who killed his father, but he knows that the heavens are awaiting the day for his vengeance. Left with two choices, Greatson ...... Access denied. Journey deeper to view this development, otherwise why did you just read the plot summary! See you soon! Woopawoopado, boop. McShot 1.02.3 GFR# Prologue The world is full of many legends, some that live forever and some that only live in passing. Once, there was a great warrior of the Reunion nation that made himself into a legend in the eyes of anyone who watched him in battle. With the command of the four elements, air, earth, fire, and water, he tore into the enemy forces. After years of victories under his belt, he left the battlefield a retired expert. Bang. Crash. Jumping out of the way from a smashed boulder, a youth with long brown hair glared at the figure in front of him. The figure was a buff man with similar yellow eyes and brown hair cut short over his eyes. The youth brushed the long hair out of his eyes and spit on the ground as he motioned with his hand to continue. Not taking any second in between, the man flew through the air, not once touching the ground. Arriving in front of the youth, he raised his fist and sent it towards the fifteen-sixteen year youth. The youth rushed to sidestep the fist while bringing his knee up. In an instant, flames rushed out of the fist to the youth¡¯s face but a gust of wind came up from the knee and sent it over the youth¡¯s head. ¡°Good. Good,¡± the man laughed as the youth moved out of the imminent area. Surrounding them was various rocks of all sizes, some cracked and some not. Barely a shred of grass was seen in sight. To normal people, this would not be much of a sight but to individuals who trained in elemental combat this was a great training ground. Elemental combat is the use of the four elements such as air, water, earth and fire to aid a master in battle. Based on the family, the training in any of the four elements could take 2-3 years or as many as 15 a piece. It is inconceivable for anyone under ten years of age to begin the training in any of the elements due to the body being unable to handle the strain. So for this youth to have already begun the journey and make progress was a feat in itself. Not surprisingly since this is Greatson Grain, the son of Wellson Grain the legend of the battlefield who retired only so many years ago. The reason being Greatson himself. While Greatson couldn¡¯t begin training in the elements he could still strengthen his body and get in tune to the elements using Wellson¡¯s own techniques. Now years later, Greatson has nearly mastered the four elements. The mastery of each element goes in stages. First, the Initial mastery where someone can begin utilizing it immediately. It is also known as beginner mastery. Next is Adept, roughly 50% mastery which allows for more control. Then comes the Proficient mastery which equates to 70% and is a highly recommended point for people to start the journey in another element in order to break through the barriers. And fourth is the Advanced mastery that is roughly 80-90% with higher level skills. The reason is is so unclear is due to the difficulty barrier for each individual. But, the one that no one can refute is 100% is Complete mastery. There is nothing higher or more esteemed than people who have multiple Complete masterys. Many of those who have Complete mastery over the four elements are regarded as Four-Elementals and are typically commanders in any large scale combat. Wellson was one of those who not only was a Four-Elemental but had also taken the techniques he had to win countless victories and return in one piece. Now, using his skills he has taught his son everything he knew and the boy was a sponge soaking it up. Jumping in the air, Greatson produced a blaze of flames from the soles of his uncovered feet and sent a axe kick to Wellson. Wellson produced two geysers of water from his arms and slammed them into the oncoming foot. Mist screamed as the fire was instantly neutralized. Greatson then shot his own geyser and shot his other foot forward into Wellson¡¯s face. This caused Wellson to toss up the foot and slam his hands into the ground sending a circle of air swirling around him that sent the oncoming attack into the air. Landing on his butt, Greatson couldn¡¯t help but groan at the failure of an attack his water kick was. Unlike the other three elements, Greatson only had Proficient mastery in the water element. That wasn¡¯t enough to conquer a Complete air technique. ¡°You have to get past your leg usage son,¡± says Wellson sternly. ¡°I have great legs, can¡¯t help it¡± Greatson retorts. Instantly Greatson regrets the reply as a tomb of earth traps his feet. ¡°Not so great now¡± Wellson scolds. Knowing what was coming, Greatson holds up his arms and collects the surrounding rubble into arm pads, which he then covers in pillars of fire. Wellson runs up to him and sends a sump kick swirling with water and air into it. The pads break and Greatson is sent bursting out of the shackles onto the ground. They then form once again and thrust him onto his feet where round 2 begins. This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. From afar, a figure watches from the air with cold predatory eyes. ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Sitting down in a clutter of items, Greatson examines them one by one. Some were photos of a family of three, while others are miscellaneous things like toothbrushes and books. This has been his ¡®room¡¯ for the better of 6-7 years. It was apparent by how worn down everything is. Opening a book, Greatson goes over the scribbles marked in it. To the untrained eye, these scribbles are only evidence of Greatson¡¯s literary skills but to an elemental, it was unmistakably research into a possible fifth element. Many times over the era has someone attempted to look into a fifth element. For some, darkness must have been the element while to others it was light. For Greatson and a very few like him, it was lightning. Pouring over the scribble in the book, Greatson held up a hand and examined it. Inside, his blood circulated at an erratic pattern as tiny bursts of electricity are let out one by one causing a pause or outburst in the blood flow. This was Greatson¡¯s secret. He had begun the path to being an Initial lightning elemental! However, he hasn¡¯t made the jump yet so the sparks are barely taking form and were not apparent in physical form. When he found the jump didn¡¯t succeed, Greatson sighed and stopped to scribble his latest findings in the book. Then a shockwave of energy rocked the area as Greatson and his valuables were covered in a cloud of dust. Righting himself, Greatson looks into the skies and sees two figures clashing in the sky. One was Wellson and the other was a stranger in a blue robe. As the two exchanged techniques, perfectly canceling each other, the robe seems to float in the air dodging the techniques as it closed in on Wellson. Before Wellson could make a proper guard against a flaming fist, the robe expanded and caught his body arms and all. The robe emitted a frost like mist as Wellson emitted a blood curdling scream. The next moment however, would be integrated into Greatson¡¯s mind for an eternity as the stranger then produced a ferocious vortex of wind around his arm and shoved it through Wellson¡¯s chest. The scream came to a halt and all was silence. The stranger gave a snort of disdain and moved to toss Wellson away when Wellson suddenly sprang to life and grabbed the stranger, forcing him to look into Wellson¡¯s eyes. Wellson gave an angry shout as his very essence seemed to turn into a demonic face of flames that exploded in the stranger¡¯s face. The stranger screamed in pain as Wellson¡¯s lifeless body fell to the ground. Greatson rushed over to his father and felt immeasurable sadness overtake him as tears fell from his face. The stranger brushed off the flames that seemed to have removed the skin from his cheek, revealing cold bone. This was an injury that no level of Elemental could heal. The stranger angrily walked over and kicked Wellson, sending Greatson to the ground. ¡°Lousy little bastard,¡± the man snorted before walking away. ¡°There are others more deserving of my time.¡± With that, he took to the air leaving a broken Greatson on the ground. Hours later, Greatson stirred as blood red eyes shone on his face. Eyes that seemed to not even be a fragment of his rage. ¡°I WILL KILL YOU!¡± he bellowed to the heavens as they in turn shown thunderclouds ominously. ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡.. The man would then be known as the ¡°legend butcher¡± who would go around finding retired experts and killing them in cold blood before disappearing from sight. As for Greatson, wait for more. Whenever that comes. (Sorry for the quality of the last paragraph. I did not know when I could get back to that so I closed it a little too simple. If I had time I would make the battle more descriptive but sadly, more stories, more real life, etc. McShot will probably open another door or two and then I might spend more time on an existing door. Wait till then, but don''t forget to comment if you wish to. See ya) McShot 0.00.04 So Many Doors to Open! Taking his head out of door number 1, the reader(you) finds themselves in the long hall. Seems like a few more doors have opened for you heh.... "Wait a second," a certain annoying voice rings out. "Is it just me or is Mr. Author stepping out of bounds?" Oh, well what if I am McShot? "Then I will not cooperate with the story," McShot tilts his nose to the air. Hahaha, I was planning to replace you sometime. Your name is too weird. "You''re the one who made it!" Because it was story convenient. Now, shoo. "Wait, I .. ," too late to finish his sentence, McShot be swiped by a broom off-screen! Hahaha. Ohay, for today''s business the reader is intrigued by the countless doors in the hallway and isn''t going to pllunge headfirst for a while. So it is up to the comment section to decide the story. In a series of options, regard the titles of the stories and the one sentence that describes them. Based on the order, the next story to be updated may be the one with the most positive comments. First off, Live to Achieve '' *A story about a young noble who hates the discrimination and mistreatment commoners get, when he finds a mysterious stone, finds himself capable of living too lives through the eyes of his personal servant.* Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.Second, After Epilogue *A story taking place after the hero had already defeated the corrupt god, and now returns to the lives of those he had touched on his journey with hopes of picking back up the pieces.* Now for the third, Reverse-7 *A story about a man who was corrupted by the 7 deadly sins but due to the misfortune it brought, he wishes to wash himself of the sins as he is reborn into a new world.* Lastly, The World Tree *A story where a seed fell though the cracks in dimensions and picked up monsters, people, and lands before finally sprouting into a new world, leaving the inhabitants to figure out for themselves the new world order.* Comment below on what story you want to enter first! Ps. Sorry for the low amount of variety. Magic based stories are easy and I am currently immersed in reading some Wuxia so these will generally be the main ones for the first few. Got a suggestion, make it! All it takes is a seed for a tree to grow. Just needs some planting and a little time. McShot 2.01.05 Fine, After Epilogue is First! From within the second door, a whole world has lived out a story already but has more to offer. Ever wonder what happened to the hero who obtained the deus ex machina god power after they beat the villainous god at the end of the adventure? Of course he is probably going to head home afterwards. Doesn''t mean he''s going to teleport there. So after the journey, the hero (Mechael Hesoma) goes back down his trip one step at a time. Oh, there''s where I defeated that one demon lord who tried to kill me. Then there''s the village who had those pesky thieves. Wait, the thieves actually helped your economy in some weird way?! How to solve this..... Make some gold, maybe. What about the villages who still believe that villain is god? I''m the god right? This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Oh yeah, the responsibilities.... Hey, there is that one girl who was in love with me! That''s a landmine I have to dodge... Never realized how much trouble I caused on my adventure... And I''m not even home yet! ........... Since you guys weren''t commenting I decided to make one of the options into a door that probably doesn''t need opening for a while. Keep the silence up and I will do the same with another door and might just forget about the options I gave. Though, there is also this one story that just wants to be opened... I can be spontaneous! McShot 3.01.06 And Then, Live To Achieve In a world Where things stay in the center column And isn''t a comedy There was a Noble But he was a kid So that doesn''t mean much at the beginning Because sorry kids You don''t amount to much Until you become adults Anyway..... Kid named Simon Lockers Had the idea that the lower class Should be worth something But his family didn''t agree And house sat him He had nothing but books And a personal servant named Mitch Grassier Who was unlucky enough to be Made practically brain dead This life continues for years before The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Simon finds a mysterious rock That allows him to take over Mitch''s consciousness And live a different life through Mitch Through several events Mitch can leave And Simon can do what he can on Two different ends One of politics Another of magic By having Mitch enroll As a student of magic And so Simon''s dual life begins You know what they say Make the most of your life Especially if you have two ..... Hey, sorry for the wait. I can upload doors quick but I was actually debating if anyone wanted doors over additions so I waited for the comments but they were quiet. Remember, I check the comments so say something if you wish McShot 4.01.07 The World Tree No This is not the world tree Yggdrasil from many myths and stories This is a different tree One that sprouted from a peculiar seed What happened was The seed for some reason or another Fell through the cracks in reality And on the trip It picked up several things Storing them inside Until it finally sprouted And became a tree To others it may be small But to the individuals and creatures inhabiting It was the largest thing they have ever seen You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.Their god It was the first thing they saw when they awoke And it was the first thing they blamed for the changes they have experienced After all Throw a bunch of random things into a new environment And there will be chaos The likes of which will take lifetimes to heal Enjoy your new world guys No other choice for the matter Our condolences for the broken families as a result ............................................................ Sorry for the weird alignment, something I''m testing. Let me know if you want it changed or I can just keep it :) . McShot 5.01.08 Reverse-7 Everyone is born pure Except for those crazies who are born evil Sorry psychopaths, nothing against you! It''s just the touch of sin and other worldly desires Many people just accept them Hathborn did not, but was cursed to receive all seven of the deadly sins He became a local warlord of his tribe, something for his PRIDE He killed those against him, something for his WRATH He didn''t even lift a finger, something for his SLOTH He ate what he wanted when he wanted, something for his GLUTTONY He dared strike those more powerful than him, something for his ENVY He stole from those less fortunate and those he slaughtered, something for his GREED He had any woman he could ask for, something for his LUST Yet, he still felt the hole in his heart as it grew bigger and bigger. Fueling his sins. Then one day a servant of his killed him, and as he was choking to death on the floor he realized what the whole was. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. It was his regret, his shame, thee part of him that wanted to cast the sins away. He just kept making excuses not to listen. Then, boom. He finds himself reborn. And what was his first thought? Purge his sins and baptize himself in this new world. Find out what his original self was and the adventures he embarks on in this new world. "Hey there, Mr. Author" Oh !%#&, HE''S BACK "Don''t step on your toes there," McShot says. "Just speaking leaving a short spoiler for the reader." Wait, you shouldn''t. "But I can. Just the way I like it. "Here''s the thing. The sins take time and effort to purge, but the strong amount of sin inside Hathborn allow him nice unique skills that are useful in this world. Only cost is the sin in his body growing. That would be a pain to use." You done. "Yep," McShot says and moonwalks away. Sigh I too, get annoyed by him. See you next time. McShot 3.02.9 LTA# 10 Years Gone By In Society There are two things that matter Money and Power A person without any of this is called a commoner And they are at the bottom of the food chain ...................................... Inside a nice little manor There was a family This family was influential After all it was a family of nobles Those with money Even if they lacked the power Inside of a lavish room in the manor A young child was sitting with a book in his hands Something a commoner would be lucky to have The child''s name was Simon He belonged to the Lockers A group of nobles with a reputation By his side was a woman commoner Her job was to watch Simon An heir to the Lockers shouldn''t wander too far Simon hated being watched every day So he decided to play a little prank He closed the book and moved to grab another from the library The woman followed Simon out of the room As the two turned the corner Simon made a quick sidestep and hid behind the curtains When the woman passed the corner and didn''t see Simon she screamed Simon was surprised by the woman''s action It was just a little prank Wasn''t it? Hearing the woman''s shriek his father rushed into the room A man who looked so fat he could''ve been a pig Running probably made him sweat Having his matters disturbed he was in a terrible mood When he saw the woman without Simon he turned on her "Where is my son?" bellowed the man With a fierce slap to the face the woman flew The woman sobbed as she landed on the floor Not with any dignity did she clench Mr. Locker''s pants "I don''t know" she screamed This sight was too much for 7 year old Simon All this because of a little prank was too much "Unhand me" Mr. Lockers bellowed once more with a kick Even with blood dripping out of her mouth The woman''s only goal was groveling on the ground Mr. Locker had enough of this woman and prepared to kick her again Seeing this stance Simon rushed out of the curtains Upon seeing Simon a smile blossomed on Mr. Locker''s face Unbecoming with the woman on the ground "She didn''t do anything Father" the youth saying to her defense "She lost you" Mr. Lockers matter of fact said With a turn he summoned the guards "A hundred whips" he commanded "No" the woman screamed as she was dragged "Father" the youth yelled as he grabbed his father''s pants "Don''t you worry Simon" his father consoled him "She will get what she deserves" This made Simon sick His father was still being nice while punishing the woman The youth had to watch her get dragged away That night he listened to all 100 wails of pain She didn''t show up the next day ..................................................... Since the incident Simon was cautious No more out of place behavior But from time to time some screams were heard Simon couldn''t take it anymore He went to his father''s study With 3 knocks he was let in His father welcomed him with a warm smile Simon spared no pleasantries "Why have you been whipping the servants" he asked "Is it disturbing you?" his father asks "I can have them do it elsewhere" "Don''t do it at all" Simon yells This causes a jump of Mr. Lockers "Now Simon" Mr. Lockers starts "They are just mistakes" Simon continues "Not deserving of whippings" "That''s because they are commoners" Mr. Lockers says matter of factly "What''s the difference between a commoner and us" Simon questions "We are nobles and they aren''t" his father says "That isn''t right" Simon says "You''ll understand when you''re older" Mr. Lockers chides "Then I don''t wish to understand" Simon yells "Then I have no choice" Mr. Lockers sternly says With a call he summons some guards "Simon is not to leave his room until he has some understanding" Mr. Lockers orders Despite being his son the guards still dragged him kicking and screaming For the next half month no one could enter or exit the room ................................................................... This treatment lasted for 10 years Simon was considered as ''sick'' whenever someone asked He received a manservant named Mitch As if to emphasize the natural order Mitch was practically brain dead All he could do was follow orders Simon wore a sad look whenever he saw Mitch by his side Over the years received many tutors They would act nice until Simon brought up commoners and nobles Each time Simon would go without food This made him become thin Reading many books available to him by request Simon learned of many things about the outside world And he hated it All of this prejudice against commoners without power If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. The 6th year after the isolation Simon and Mitch were outside the house in the backyard This was one of Simon''s escapes Can''t live your whole life in a room Simon was busy examining all of the different things in the backyard Mitch was just watching Simon sighed as he looked at Mitch No matter what he did Mitch would never react That tall bone skinny tanned lad would never react Simon was only able to bring Mitch by requesting him to follow Not by asking Mitch but by requesting What difference was there to an order then But Simon could not change who Mitch was At least before today Because by Simon there was a particular stone that caught his attention It wasn''t as dull as others but was actually brightly red and jagged like a shard Simon ran to Mitch with the stone gripped in his hand "Look what I found" he exclaimed excitedly thrusting at Mitch Slow to the point Mitch just directed his eyes downward Simon exasperatedly grabbed Mitch''s hand and placed the stone in it Mitch showed no reaction as he stared dumbly at the stone "It''s pretty amazing isn''t it?" Without hesitation Simon reached for the stone again And scratched Mitch''s hand drawing some blood As well as digging it in his own drawing his own Boom The two fell to the ground as if seizing From within Simon''s consciousness Thunder and fury sounded as cracking sounds rang Simon screamed from his mind as it started to tear in two From Mitch a similar thing occurred but with less screams Then their minds became two And one half of each mind flowed through to the other In a matter of seconds two different minds occupied the same body Then in a matter of minutes the body assimilated the minds And the stronger mind took the reigns Simon opened his eyes to look around him He was lying on the ground with a sense of something being different Then he noticed In front of him was his body The frantic Simon tried to see if he could make the body move to snap him out of it Then with a bizarrely twin feeling The other Simon moved his arms and shifted his legs Following the same feeling he ''opened his eyes'' He saw both Mitch on the ground and Simon sitting as though they were in front of him He knew that whatever happened he was no longer just Simon now Now he was both Simon and Mitch And it left him feeling ecstatic Until a maid came out of the backdoor and saw them both on the ground Her scream was heard around the house Rushing out of the house were the family and their servants The guards each took hold of Simon and Mitch and brought them each to a different place While Simon was brought to a local doctor Mitch was taken to a dark solitary room and chained up Simon could sense everything from inside of that cell It both scared him and made him furious This was likely where the commoners were whipped While the doctor was calm and nice to Simon His father was rather angry and rude to Mitch As Mitch he could not act out for fear of causing problems to him Who knew how long the transition lasted Apparently long enough for the lashing Simon had to bite his lips to resist the urge the other end of him felt to scream As a privileged child of a noble he never knew pain so this was intense for him He however knew that he would need to tolerate it for the future Because this would be the beginning of his end game ............................ Later that afternoon Mitch had regained consciousness and meekly walked outside It had all started with the stone so he grabbed the stone and hid it Mitch dashed inside and proceeded to fulfill his duties for Simon No one had any idea Simon still occupied Mitch This continued for another few months Within those few months Simon tried to figure out how much he could influence Mitch By the end of those few months he had managed to enter Mitch''s mind Simon started to look over Mitch''s memories From there Simon learned more of the commoners and nobles Another few months and Mitch returned to his family Upon his return he told the family he remembered them This made Mitch''s mother and brothers happy Better than Simon who had a grumpy old man as the manservant at the time This time though had Simon behaving which made his parents happy The difference between the two families made Mitch feel regret After a month with the family Mitch returned He was not allowed to return for another three years After three years of excellent service Mitch was allowed to leave with a weighty pocket Simon was also respected again Enough so that he got Mitch in the Bu-Wing Magic School Mitch then left with a bizarre look in his eyes No one knew what to make of this except Simon Ten years went by and now it was his time ................................................... Hope you enjoyed it McShot 1.03.10 GFR# Insert Generic High-School Here Looking over his shoulder at the dirt shifting in the sand, Greatson cannot help but remember his father as he knew him. Each day, every morning and every night, right down to the seconds played out in Greatson''s mind. Right down to the moment his father fell. And the face of the man who did that. Clenching his fist, Greatson''s face turns cold. "If I say I''m going to kill you, then even if I have to die I guarantee I will!" With these parting words, Greatson disappears into the horizon. ...................................................................................................... In the cloud filled city of Retoil, there exists several high structures that reach up to the heavens. Each one carrying significant value to the country. For instance, there is the Grand Library that has books that existed before the country was even formed. The Royal Tower where all of the dead kings and queens were stored so as to guide their descendants. And of course, there is also the High School of Practice that gives precedence to aiding those skilled in the elements make their last and first steps in elemental practice. At the front desk of the HSP a couple of guards stood next to the admissions personal. This was a typical image for the HSP as any day of the year a student may enroll. Just today they were going to receive a recruit coming from the sky. This obviously was Greatson. The personal, a Mr. Hyde, was reading a book with a bored expression when a gust of wind came before him. The pages of the book fluttered and he sighed. He knew that this was a sign of someone at least Proficient mastery in Wind so they would likely have the qualifications. Just why though, did every Wind Proficient and above have to make him lose his place in whatever book he was reading?! Not knowing of Mr. Hyde''s frustration, Greatson walked up to the desk. The two guards prepared an attack of their own, one Water punch and one Earth slash. Noticing their reactions, Greatson produced one envelope. This was standard procedure as the Elite Foundation must approve all of the HSP''s applicants before they can try out for admissions. Seeing the envelope with the seal, the two guards stood down. "Element and Mastery level." Mr. Hyde "Water. Proficient." Greatson "Proof" Mr Hyde Greatson stomped his feet and produced a geyser that reached up to his neck before it faltered and landed on the ground. This showed the mastery but not enough to be Advanced. Hyde nodded his head and called for some elders who came from the school grounds. The two elders showed Greatson to a store room where he was fitted for a blue vest representing his study in water. Many students can be recognized by there colors, though that can deceive many. First time students frequent the school grounds, while those in the second term are more uncommon. The rare ones who typically control the school ground are third tiers who are aiming to enter the Four-Elemental status by receiving their study into the fourth element. Greatson was a one in a decade close Four-Elemental who was studying the fifth element. He was a special case that was not ignored so long as he was finishing his study into the fourth element and had suitable knowledge to a possible fifth element. For example, Greatson had to go to the Elite Foundation and the Great Library to chronicle his research into Lightning before they would approve him for the High School of Practice. Taking his new vest and a room key, Greatson left for the school grounds. Chatting around were many freshman and seniors of the school. Many of those who had just started their studies or were about finished found they had plenty of free time to chat with others. Those in the fourth to eighth year margin were typically studying and practicing. Walking among the students, Greatson noticed a group coming toward him. This group was comprised of six people wearing the color red with two yellow vests among them. The lead individual had a rough patch of hair and piercing black eyes. He was the tallest and most sturdy individual on the grounds while the ones behind him were more of the short side. They were eyeing Greatson like sharks to prey, giving him a slight chuckle. Looks like the stereotypical bullies have come. This will be fun. Stepping forward to meet the leader of the group, Greatson and the leader faced eye to eye. However difficult that may be with Greatson only meeting the leader at his nose. The leader looked down at Greatson and only thought of him as fresh meat. A teen could only be a first timer while he a forty-something man was coming in for the fourth element of fire. The little guy should be glad he was giving him the time of day. At least, that was what Greatson read from the leader. "Who are you, and what will you give to be under Rigortoe''s, my protection?" the leader questioned. Rigortoe? Not all names can be great but they still give some sense of pride no matter how odd they may be. Rigortoe probably was the most experienced in water then, since people generally names lead people toward their practice. For example, Greatson was a strong name which led him to begin in earth. While Wellson was a good nature name that led him to begin in wind, even though water would be just as great. Rigortoe was an unsteady name so this symbolized a practice in the flowing water. Or something like that. Not everybody does that thing. Knowing very well what Vigortoe wanted, Greatson spared no time for some beatdown! With a high kick he set Vigortoe''s face on fire and countered the wind fist coming his way with a spin kick possessing wind attributes of its own. The winds were virtually equal but created a pause that Greatson used to stomp the fist with an earth kick, crushing Vigortoe''s fingers. Then came the henchmen. Boom. A fire foot landed on the two closest faces and a spin kick infused with water knocked two others away. When the fifth one came, a normal fist with a tiny piece of earth punched his lights out. Went down like a wimp. Not forgetting Vigortoe, Greatson did two quick wind kicks that cut into him. With this, pretty much all of them were out. Those that didn''t go down, Greatson flicked fire in their foreheads so they don''t want to continue the fight. Whistling a little tune, Greatson walked away. No elders stopped him because fighting is good to help people learn, like how this group learned not to mess with Greatson. The other students saw Greatson''s performance and knew not to mess with him. Within a few days, everyone knew not to mess with Greatson. Of course, this also meant that not many students wanted to associate with him but Greatson came for revenge not friends. ........................................................................................... "Tsk" Snapping his fingers, Greatson grunts at the trouble he''s been having. Just now, Greatson had tried to circulate the electricity between his fingers and the air but had nothing. The electricity didn''t even stretch that much from his finger before dissipating. Wasn''t this the same as barely being an Initial mastery? Yet this was the result of his independent study into the four elements. That meant he was at a dead end with his own insights and will have to rely on the school for aid. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! The path to the library was fairly open. All of the students who saw Greatson coming their way made a path. Normally, because of traffic it would be a fair amount of time before someone saw the library. For Greatson, it was a few minutes. The people at the front doors were even kind enough to welcome him in with a smile. Goes to show what a reputation earns you. Once inside the library, there would be five sections. Each section had a color corresponding to the different elements. The fifth section that was black was designated though for independent research so for many it was a section that wasn''t highly sought out. Unless you are Greatson. Walking to the black section, Greatson started to look through the large notebook resting on a table at the center of it. This notebook was the categorization log, the closest thing this section had to sorting the documents out. If you wanted to learn about something, there was no specific area with notes on the subject. All of the notes relating to the subject are in the categorization log next to each documents name. They are, however, sorted by timing so you have to read the whole thing front to back to find all of the notebooks with an inkling of the subject you are needing. Taking an hour or two, Greatson found inside of the book four to five books with anything relating to the subject of lightning. Taking this as a starting point, Greatson''s next hour was spent locating these books and recording their positions. The library has a strict guideline on people taking their documents out so Greatson could only memorize their locations on this first day and use the following days to go over them. With this task completed, Greatson still had an hour or two before the library closed so he thought to give the water section a go. Without Wellson to aid Greatson, his progress in water had slowed to less than a snail''s pace. He needed this time in the High School of Practice to become a Four Elemental. Only then could Greatson have a slight chance at facing the man who killed his father. Lightning though might be his chance of overcoming the man by becoming a Pseudo-Five Elemental. These people were always the most unpredictable and rare elementals to face. Wellson himself was only capable of defeating one or two in his career which was a extremely unlikely occurrence. Walking in, Greatson saw several notes all over the bookshelves illustrating the subject. Greatson was interested in the flow, burst, and breath subjects so he took his time skimming the surface of these sections. The other students who were near him gave him some room to peruse. Though, there was one girl sitting at a table a little away from him who was glancing at him nervously. She was a first time student in Green with long blue hair hanging over her shoulder and had deep green eyes. As a first-time student, she was not as aware of everything in the school and had only started very recently. Being seventeen years old, she was thought of as small fry so no one gave her the time of day so when she wanted to get some advice about water, they didn''t lend her a hand. With no other choice, she practiced on her own when she saw this boy. He was similar to her in age yet everyone stayed away from him. This must mean he is an expert. She had no idea how he scared away everyone but he was wearing blue which meant he might be able to help her when it came to understanding water. Now she just had to muster the confidence to go over and ask him for advice. Biting her lip softly, the blue-haired girl gets up and walks over. Noticing someone coming, Greatson looks over his shoulder at her. Looking into his eyes, the girl wanted to run away because of how fierce they were but she held herself in place. "May this junior ask this expert for advice on reaching the Initial mastery in water?" she asked. Greatson: "Initial? Sure. I''ve got the time." Pleased with the response, the girl hurries on. "I have read that it requires one to connect internally with a drop of water and produce their own. However, the way to reach this is not accurately described so no matter how I ponder over it I cannot reach the conclusion." "Ha," Greatson laughs surprising her. "It can be simple or hard based on your own practice. By the looks of it you had already reached a high level in wind right?" "Yes," the girl said with a falter. She had, and it had required some extensive work from the townsfolk. "How do you feel when you are in tune with the wind?" "Like a piece of myself is flowing like a leaf, yet can stir like a tornado at any second," the girl closes her eyes and smiles. "Then think. What if the leaf is on a nice bed of water, and is just rocking on the waves nice and gently? Then the water seems to sink by only a drop, and the drop lands on your finger with not an ounce of effort to be used." Greatson continues softly, wanting to help the girl reach a good piece of mind. The girl relaxes and holds out her hand as if she wants to pluck a apple from a tree with one finger outstretched. Then, on the finger a drop of water comes out of thin air and drops onto it. "Welcome to Initial Water mastery," Greatson says gently, somewhat at piece. He had forgotten all about everything and had too, immersed himself in water again. For some reason, the girl had made him experience a peace he had not felt in a long time. The girl''s eyes had sprung up so suddenly, Greatson had been startled. Taking a step back, he looks away with a reddish face. Noticing his strange feeling of embarrassment, he reprimands himself. Luckily, the girl was too taken in by the drop of water on her finger. A feeling of gratitude wells from within her and she bows before Greatson. "Thank you," she says. Scratching his cheek, Greatson says meekly, "No problem. Any time. If you have more questions, just look for me." Why am I saying this? Greatson wonders. The girl''s eyes light up and she hurries. "Thank you. I''m Yearsleaf. May I ask who you are?" Holding out a hand, Greatson says "Greatson." Grabbing the hand, Yearsleaf shakes it and then she and Greatson take a seat at a table where he helps her go over the contents in detail. Both Greatson and Yearsleaf both gained from this experience both mentally and emotionally. From then on, the two would meet every other day. Laughing and talking, with some training included. The two got closer and closer every passing day. And so this was how Greatson and Yearsleaf met... and a generic fantasy romance started taking form. .......................................................................................................... Warriors from each side are allowed to venture over to the other side in order to train in life and death combat. Through countless battles, experts may be made to protect their side of the line and rule over their own people. This constant cycle has been unchanging for many years until one day a very peculiar phenomenon occurred. The lord of BloodScream Forest, RedThunder had returned to his cave bearing a package. No one knew what that package was, but in the following days the mighty dragon didn¡¯t leave his cave. They did not know that the lord had made a very monumental decision. It had taken a human infant under its wing. 852 CA (Cannibalistic Age) Inside of RedThunder¡¯s cave, the sound of heaving breaths could be heard. To the inhabitants of the BloodScream Forest, this sound would arouse their appetites as these breaths were too soft and resembled that of a human¡¯s. Under RedThunder¡¯s watchful eye, a young youth with red curly hair bearing red eyes and dark skin was currently punching the air. This was a peculiar sight not simply because of the two races, but from the sheer size of them. The colossal dragon hung its long belly across the ground while the bottom layer making up a very long tail was curled around the cave. It¡¯s monstrous claws, the size of houses tapped the floor of the cave making little shocks in the earth. Then there was the wise looking head of red rested right below the cave ceiling, whose whiskers could rival towers themselves. The dragon¡¯s fierce yellow eyes were strict as its sharp teeth opened up and from the long forked tongue, human speech could be heard. ¡°Remember, in order to reach the fourth form of Dragonic Shift you must breath in the elements and condense them in your stomach to form the crystal coating that withstands the flames of your power. Without the coating, the fires will send you into a living death.¡± The red-haired youth scrunched his eyebrows as he inhaled even deeper. From his belly, a image of a living flame could be seen that resembled a tailed-dragon. The dragon¡¯s eyes were closed as it rested in mid-air inside the youth¡¯s belly. Then, with another of the youth¡¯s inhaled breaths, the dragon¡¯s eyes slightly opened. ¡°Good,¡± RedThunder commented in a deep growl. ¡°Now gush forth your energy and force the dragon¡¯s eyes open. Once the eyes are wide open, you will have reached the fourth form.¡± The youth inhaled again, and opened his eyes wide open as a bluish hue took over inside his pupils. The bluish hue spread over his body before coming to the stomach. The dragon inside opening its maw and inhaled the hue, drawing it in from the rest of his body. The dragon¡¯s eyes spread further and further apart from their eyelids before they were wide open and the dragon let out a silent roar and vanished along with the blue hue. The youth finally exhaled and collapsed to the floor out of breath. RedThunder¡¯s eyes scanned the boy with traces of affection appearing out of the corner of it¡¯s eyes. ¡°Congratulations son. You have now reached the fourth form of Dragonic Shift, my personal technique. This is my lineage and you have proven yourself worthy of inheriting it. Now it is time for you to see the world.¡± The boy stood up with a curious expression. ¡°Really? I thought that I would not be leaving until I had completed the path of Dragonic Shift.¡± He knew that despite reaching the fourth form of the technique, it still possessed four more forms until it could be mastered and another in order to assimilate. RedThunder: ¡°My son, a life of training does not make a master. It is only through experience can a master be born. Now is the time for you to cultivate that experience and mold it into yourself. I will do what I can to make this initial period easier for you, but you must rely on yourself.¡± The youth cupped his fist and bowed to the large dragon before saying, ¡°As you wish Father.¡± The dragon lowered its head to stare affectionately into the youth''s eyes before imparting its next words filled with twelve years of love and care onto the child. ¡°I have one more thing that I should give you. Your name.¡± The youth remained bowing as he knew the name would encompass everything from his time under the dragon lord. From the time he entered the dragon¡¯s care to this moment, the only name he would know was ¡®Son.¡¯ Now that he was going to leave, it was time for him to have another name for others to know him by. ¡°Your name will be,¡± the dragon droned. ¡°Vermillion RedFlame.¡± ¡°Vermillion RedFlame,¡± the youth pronounced each syllable slowly taking it in. ¡°In this world, Red will be your surname with Flame being your known name. Vermillion will then be Origin name. The Origin name is only for those of your family. Since you are my only family, we will only refer to each other as ¡®Father¡¯ and ¡®Son.¡¯ Vermillion will only be needed when you meet your other half in life and start a family.¡± If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The word family struck a cord in Flame¡¯s heart but he quietly tuned it down before returning another bow. Later that night, under the shocked eyes of the forest inhabitants, the hermitted lord of BloodScream Forest left his cave into the night. A few hours later, the dragon touched down on the ground and loosened the package in its arms. The wrapping gave way to reveal Flame in a blue furred vest and purple scale pants. The youth bowed again with cupped fist before sprinting into the nearby section of the forest. RedThunder sighed as he pondered over the challenges Flame will encounter. The place he had brought Flame to was inhabited by several packs and Beastlords. The average Beastlord was capable of utilizing the fourth or even fifth form of whatever technique they practiced. Flame should be capable of looking after himself. The only worry RedThunder had, is when Flame gets to the line¡ Inside the forest, Flame sprinted with a face full of excitement. This was the first adventure he would go on and finally a test to show his skills. For years he had practiced with RedThunder but never once met anyone else. Now he has limitless possibilities. All of his time with RedThunder taught him that through battles a practitioner can build up reputation and honour that makes others respect and revere them. And finally Flame had a chance to cultivate his own honour! Out of the corner of his eye was a BlueCrescent Boar. A typical BlueCrescent Boar was a second-class practioner meaning the use of up to the second form of their path. Those more outstanding BlueCrescent Boars could utilize the third form while a mere handful could become Beastlords with the fourth form mastered. Flame had no fear of any BlueCrescent Boar due to the skill and prowess he possessed for the Dragonic Shift. Unlike the BlueCrescent Boars who practiced the more common Crescent Rush, the Dragonic Shift was a unique path that could be counted on one hand the number of practitioners who walked it. And that is ignoring the fact that Flame made it to the fourth form. Sparing no time, Flame tested the power of the first form technique, ''Slithering Fang.'' Taking a crouched stance, he summoned the blue hue from his stomach and collected at the tips of his finger and toe nails. With eyes now the shade of blue, Flame sent a burst of speed down to his tiptoes and leaped toward the boar. Sensing the attack, the BlueCrescent Boar made to counterattack with the best technique it had: the second form technique, Moon-strike Crusher. Making for Flame, the boar moved with unified speed on all legs. None falling a bit behind the others. The tusk then started to emit a faint yellow glow as they thrust at the ground, yet not disturbing the ferocious speed one bit as it dug its way forward. Flame could tell that the BlueCrescent Boar was an average second form practitioner straight from the technique it utilized. While Flame himself was hiding his strength, a full-fledged practitioner will treat any threat at first glance as a potentially deadly foe. So in accordance to this, the boar''s strongest attack was at the second form only. An expert of any form though, will have insight into the next form''s techniques and is capable of at least utilizing the weakest technique it holds. Flame himself can use a fifth form technique from the Dragonic Shift. As the Moon-strike Crusher made its way for Flame, the youth was staring in anticipation at the burrowing boar. Right when the BlueCrescent Boar was about to hit Flame, his toes hopped and he rode the wind around the boar. Not a mark was on Flame as he made a neat circle before leaping into the air behind the great boar. The BlueCrescent Boar felt a sense of overpowered fear coming from behind it and knew it was now dead. With a thrust of his right hand, Flame tore into the boar''s flesh and sunk itself right beside the boar''s heart. The hand paused for barely a millisecond before grabbing and crushing the heart. In that small amount of time, the boar met a crushing end. Retracting his hand, Flame gave the bloody hand an odd look. RedThunder had said killing has two different effects on people. On humans, it requires a tempered soul to endure killing while on monsters it makes their blood rush. For Flame, this kill had as much psychological impact as cutting into his food. Perhaps he is more calm about killing or this BlueCrescent Boar wasn''t worthy enough to be a kill. Looking around the forest, Flame was amused to find himself surrounded by BlueCrescent Boars. Laughing to himself, Flame thought, I might have more fun than I thought I would. Rushing into the crowd of boars, Flame roared as one of his techniques took form. Just an Update #3/22/16 I know, it''s weird to do an update but I feel obligated to after the f#&%$g mind screw I got earlier today. I was preparing the next chapter of Warrior Founded By Dragon when my computer gave out and lost all of that valuable progress. If someone suggests Google Docs, I''m gonna choke a b@!^h. But yeah, am I the only one here who has had that "moment" when you are in the zone while writing a story a feels like it is the best work you''ll get? Well, then all of that hard work went down the drain and cannot be reclaimed. You''ve been warned for when the next update on it gets released. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Also, the next chapter will be a door opening so you don''t have to read it if you don''t want to. And guys, I am new to this and only recently started to dig into it even further. So if you guys can help spread the word somehow, maybe interact with it a bit more then it will be much appreciated. As it seems I need to remind people, no one is forced to read the chapters in order. Just pick one you like and check in from time to time. McShot 8.01.014 Walk the Dao of Reincarnation Everyone goes through the process of reincarnation. It is widely acknowledged but not much is known about the process. Though there are those rare exceptions who retain some of their knowledge. It has no impact until one day, in a certain reincarnation. It. Goes. Boom. Thus, the path he cultivates is never the same. Now Chin Shuo will walk the Dao of reincarnation. ................................................. As anyone can guess, this is another one of those series that fits "wuxia" or martial arts categories. If it''s not your thing, no need to read it. Also, let me know if there is something you''d like from the current doors available. The next update will take longer because of the setback from the update. It will still be the Warrior Founded By Dragon chapter so please help out if you can. WFD# for the win! Or at least until I find another pet project. GFR# kinda became a underdog. Sorry guys who like GFR! Little Update #4/11/2016 Sorry guys for the long wait on that promised ''chapter'' of WFD. It''s a little peeve of mine, April Fools writing. Because of that, for the whole 2 weeks stretching from April 1 a week on both ends, I do zero writing. Apologies for any who want writing during that time. But that has ended and I found some people are now getting into the series now so I should at least update a little. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. The chapter can be considered roughly close to a finish or halfway done. Depends on how I feel about it. And that''s the update! After this, the writing pace should improve. I hope... McShot 6.03.15 WFD# Beastlords and RedFlame Inside of the straw village, a burly man with blue pigtails sat overlooking the village. Among the inhabitants were many BlueCrescent Boars who milled about here and there. They were all second and third form practitioners so he had no fear of someone contesting him for power. After all, he was a rare fourth form BlueCrescent Boar who had attained the rank of Beastlord! Among the monsters of the first layer of the line, the largest but also the weakest layer sitting next to it, many were common monsters who would at most reach the fourth or fifth form of practice. But, because of that they were also the first ones to awaken the human-like transformation! Those that do are qualified to become Beastlords and reign over their clans. This "Beastlord" transformation is one only attainable to those who have reached the limits of their species. Many who have reached this status do not further their practice because they know there is a very slim chance of reaching the next form so they are content to just lord over their species and have them live in prosperity. That is, killing as they wish and lounging about. With a wine cup in hand, the Beastlord MoonBaby sat on his throne of tree branches enjoying the entertainment in front of him. Two BlueCrescent Boars had captured a GreyPox Monkey and were playing "monkey in the middle" with it. Using their snouts to toss in back and forth. The monkey screeched as it became more and more bloody with each toss. Yet, escape was no longer possible for it the moment it entered the village. Then a voice was heard calling out. "Human!" I shouted with a rough voice. MoonBaby frowned. He knew the voice. It belonged to MoonChild, his younger brother who was still at the late stage of the third form. He was typically in charge of outings for the BlueCrescent Boar clan. Seeing him here meant that all of the others must be preoccupied with the human. Wasting no time, MoonBaby shifted into a rather large blue boar with a crescent moon on his cheek and ran ahead with the rest of his brethren following behind him. While this was going on, RedFlame had been sweeping through the opponents whilst only using the second form technique "Gracing Tail." The technique wasn''t a hugely offensive technique if used against someone of equal power but when facing those of lower forms it becomes a good crowd herder that either severely injures them if not kill. Eyes glowing blue, Flame stayed on one foot resting on his tip toes while the other foot was held up beside it. Whenever a BlueCrescent Boar approached him, Flame''s eyes would flash a brighter blue hue and he would jump. Each jump was given lightning like speed as the standing foot would lash out covered in an almost bluish aura resembling a scaled tail. The tail would hit some unprotected side of the BlueCrescent Boar and swipe with crushing force. Yet, the attack would not end there as Flame directed the foot back to the spot it stood and the other foot that did nothing would strike with penetrating force right where the heart was. The Boar would die and the foot would return right to where it was before, giving the scene a sense of never even occurring. That is except for the corpses of the BlueCrescent Boars scattered in a circle around Flame. This whole time, Flame had been pondering how and why the BlueCrescent Boars seemed to be all over him. From the moment he had finished the skirmish with the first one, hordes on them were practically on top of him. Little did he know that the moment the scent of blood wafted into the air, all of the monsters in the surrounding area would smell it. Thus, the more bodies he made, the more enemies he created. Pretty soon, even escape might become impossible so Flame had to prepare himself to shift from fight to flight. Flame has the perfect technique for this sort of situation: the third form technique, Billowing Smoke! While Flame was still undergoing training under RedThunder''s watchful eye, this was the first technique he learned using energy. For many high level paths, practitioners started to utilize their inner energy at the fourth form or through rare exceptions, the third one. The prerequisite making it necessary to go through several earlier forms is body conditioning. Tuning the body to the right wavelength and strengthening it to the point of handling excessive use of energy. Only then can it be safe to use the spare energy for practicing and utilizing techniques, Back when Flame first learned of energy, he found himself confused. According to RedThunder, energy can be separated into two categories. The energy that can be utilized and the energy that sits around going to waste. Like human''s capacity for utilizing the body, energy follows the same path and is more difficult to use since it is intangible and not connected to the body. Even with 90% mastered use of the body, if someone has not undergone practice in a given path up to a certain point, they could not use more than 3% of their energy. Not to mention, the form must be mastered "correctly" or they cannot use it precisely. The third form of the Dragonic Shift was a bottleneck point. It is one of the most difficult forms to reach in the practice due to the concept of forming the dragon. Until this point, the first form focused on making the energy flow to certain points of the body and the second form created "eyes" that can see and manipulate the energy. The third form though, was a form of image sculpting. In path''s utilizing energy control, a image sculptor made of energy in a person''s body symbolizes the path. This symbol allows for someone to transform all energy going into the body into energy corresponding to the body''s harmony and allows the user full control over all energy harmonized within. As for the fourth form, that had to do with power and purity. Two things that are of importance to a practitioner''s path and battle style. Further along someone is, the easier it is to gather and utilize energy. Raising his right fist and glaring at the ground, Flame mustered the energy he could at a moment''s notice. Despite the excellent form he had achieved, Flame had zero battle experience and thus had no experience mustering energy on a short notice. Flame distinctively heard his inner dragon cry out in pain as he tried to muster the energy and form it into a ball of smoke around his hand and smash it down into the ground. This billowing ball of smoke while black, also held a tinge of blue resembling Flame''s aura. As Flame drove it down, he imagined the dragon opening its mouth and inhaling. After huffing in a good amount, it breathed out with a force of a fierce wind. The ball of smoke around Flame''s hand broke open and a fierce blast of wind overtook the forest. Several smaller trees were knocked back and the BlueCrescent Boars had to stop in their tracks to fight the fierce wind. Flame grinned as he turned for the trees behind him. While the smoke was meant for him to escape, it was still a technique of the Dragonic Shift path! Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. Dashing through the smoke, Flame felt on top of the world. So this is what fighting and living is all about! As he was feeling this elation, a presence was felt out of the corner of his eye. Utilizing Slithering Fang, Flame moved out of the way from the fist and tried a counterattack. This attack however, was met by a powerful fist. Being knocked back, Flame coughed up a glob of blood before righting himself a good distance away. So this was real pain! RedThunder was too lenient in his training. While he might do some overpowering here and there, it was to the extent he was blown away. Never once had he met any bodily harm in it. Looking up, Flame''s eyes met with a burly man with blue pigtails dressed in blue fur. More accurately, the white fur was covering his body and not being worn by it. It was MoonBaby. "Sniff, sniff" In another section of the forest, a SmokeNose Mouse felt the collision between the two forces and sniffed at the air. It''s eyes opened a little wide and it sped away. This was a collision between a human and a Beastlord, something his lord would very much want to hear about. "Hahaha," the Beastlord MoonBaby greedily laughed. "Some muscle on you for a youth. Gonna make you more tasty when I have you for my meal." Following that, he launched a third form technique "Crafting Edge." His arm carried a yellow edge to it all the way down to the elbow and swiftly moved to bisect the unsuspecting Flame. Unfortunately, Flame is a fourth form practitioner himself so he felt the power of the blow himself. Knowing that his enemy was a fourth form as well, he counterattacked with his own third form technique Billowing Smoke! The first of black smoke met the arm coated in yellow and a terrific force was released. MoonBaby felt content because the attack earlier should''ve been weaker than his own. He didn''t even account for Flame being as strong as him. So once the Crafting Edge met strong resistance, he was taken by surprise. In a blow between two equal forces, it would be determined by the drive and MoonBaby was careless to the point of forgetting to include that drive! The fist blew apart the yellow energy coating and sent the black smoke ball into the surprised MoonBaby''s chest. The ball exploded and a gust of black smoke was released. This was the true use of Billowing Smoke. A hard-felt blast and hazardous wind making the enemy enter a state of confusion. While that is going on, unleash a fatal blow. For Flame who wanted to save strength in case of a more dangerous opponent, he decided on a more powerful Billowing Smoke. MoonBaby had no time to notice the incoming blow as he was too busy choking on the combination of a crushed chest and black smoke. The blow sent him flying away and forced down more than a mouthful of smoke. MoonBaby was sent into a sorry state as he was knocked into a nearby tree and crashed down to the ground. He was still alive though, do to his fierce physique as a BlueCrescent Boar. Seeing the still capable opponent, Flame moved in for a more permanent solution. As Flame moved in, MoonBaby came to his senses. "Don''t get cocky!" he yelled as he used the fourth form technique, "Last Quarter" and prepared a stance. His right arm raised to the sky, his left to the ground, and his feet sliding to make a triangle. With a deep breath, his right arm descended slowly and his left raised to meet Flame in the eye. Then the left arm retreated to his chest and the right sped to meet the Billowing Smoke. As it sped, the yellow energy condensed and shifted to blue before releasing a buzzing sound as wind was moved aside to not even produce an ounce of resistance. One a third form technique, the other a fourth. Odds are, Flame was about to be seriously injured if he didn''t throw in some effort. Throwing in as much power as possible, Flame released a fierce yell as the two forces met each other. Black and Blue filled the trees as the confused BlueCrescent Boars were sent crashing into each other by the fierce wind. But as they were thrown aside, a white figure dashed in with a smile on his face. The collision continued for a few breaths before a inch was given Flame''s way. Before it continued any further, he sent more power and nudged it MoonBaby''s way. Then it inched back, before creating a back and forth motion. As this motion continued, the power released by the collision started to go out of control as it fought fiercely to leave their hands. Thinking he had no choice, Flame risked a step and threw his other fist into the mix and released a dragon-like roar before pushing at the power released. The power started to cave in on MoonBaby''s side and he yelled defiantly before he was consumed by the combined force of the Last Quarter and Billowing Smoke. Overwhelmed by the combined force, the light in his eyes gave out and he was banished from this world. A Beastlord gone, just like that. But as he was blown back, the white figure rushed in and batted aside the tossed MoonBaby with one hand. Exhausted by the exchange, Flame had his hands on his knees as he gasped for breath. He had no time to notice the incoming figure before it was before him. With one hand up in the air, the figure sneered and back slapped Flame in the face. The unsuspecting Flame was tossed in the air and flown back onto the ground. With a groan, he raised himself up and saw a youth with white fur and black tipped nose. This was a Beastlord of the SmokeNose Mouse clan, Beastlord HavenSon. The fun had only just begun, because other beastlords in the area had also felt the various clashes and were beginning to rouse themselves... .................................................................. That''s the chapter folks. Battle chapter, just enough to stir a little excitement. Might be different from expectations but oh well. Consider this an arc of Flame and the Beastlords. MoonBaby was just the opening act to opening acts. Looks like the update wasn''t needed. Hahaha. Hope you enjoy! For the record, if anyone asks whether or not the next release will be a story update or a door: update is the answer. The story this time: The Gods Decided And it is a looong prologue so that''s why it''s taking some time Don''t say "release a door to tide us over then" because the truth is, I''ve run out of good doors. They all have to go through a process before being placed on here and I have to have some drive to write them. Then there''s the issue of too many unopened doors so for now, just look out for small openings in all of the stories. After a few key turns, then I will try and update previously opened stories. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Though, The Gods Decided will be a decent enough release to tide you guys over when it is released. Probably a better tide over that Warrior Founded By Dragon. That''s the update. Try and read a bit more of the stories I described. Even something vague can be alluring and how can I know without your input? Status 5/15/2016 Okay, it''s been a few weeks and I am still stuck on the prologue. At this point I am feeling like I should just turn McShot into nothing but plot doors and possibly making the successful ideas into stories with the "One-Shot" category. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Would likely be more frequent and enjoyable. Got a say?
