    This thread was made for you to read before you begin to read my story. It will explain the time measurements I will be using as well as different sayings in the story.


    This will only contain spoilers of prologue, where it says prologue further down. If you haven''t read the prologue, read it before reading about the glossary from he prologue.


    Time measurements:


    Breath: 1 second


    An Incense: 5 minutes


    A cup of tea: 10 minutes


    1 quarter hour: 30 minutes/3 cups of tea


    1 hour: 60 minutes/2 quarter hours


    1 day: 24 hours


    1 week: 6 days


    1 month: 5 weeks


    Half a lunar cycle: 6 months


    A lunar cycle: 12 months/two half lunar cycles


    Expressions:

    (Sky) Heaven: Residence of Pan and his emperors


    (Earth) Hell: Residence of Yama and his kings


    (Lands) World: Residence of humankind and animals


    Pangu: Creator of the world


    Pan: God and descendant of Pangu


    Yama: King and descendant of Pangu


    Samsara: The cycle of birth, life and death ¨C the cycle of reincarnation


    Yin energy: feminine


    Yang energy: masculine


    Formless energy: neither feminine or masculine


    Tao: path/way/heart''s path
