《Birth of a God》 Prologue: I Died and Reborn in a Blank World Chapter 0: I Died and Reborn in a Blank World My name, is Ethan Stanford. And I want to die. Why do I want to die you ask? Well it¡¯s because my life sucks. I¡¯m bullied all throughout my life. From the moment I was born, my parents hate me. It seems that I was an illegitimate child that was created by accident. Because of that, I was forced to be with my real father while my mother disappeared with her real husband. After that, my father tried to take responsibility but soon gave up and killed himself due to debts piling up. Next thing I knew, I began working in some evil organization as a drug carrier. But that too, was gone again. Police arrested them. And I was left with no place again. Of course, I was not arrested as I am just a kid. So it was decided to send me in an orphanage. There, I grew. They gave me food, shelter, and a simple public school to attend. Even there, I was bullied. Be it in the orphanage or in school. Why? I don¡¯t know why. If I knew, I would¡¯ve changed myself after all. But I don¡¯t know¡­I don¡¯t know why they bully me¡­ I decided to run from life and found mangas from a certain person. That person was the only one kind to me. He was always at that spot on the park and whenever I see him, he would always give me a manga to read. Next, he started showing me animes. Then light novels. Web novels. It was fun. I liked them all very much. I even went with him to a cosplay convention where he gave me a costume and treated me to foods and stuff. I wonder¡­if I had a brother, will it be like this. Hence, I started calling him brother. Hearing that, he let out a tear and smiled as he hugged me. Who is he? I no longer cared. But¡­he died. Like every day, I tried to meet him in that park¡­only to find a car out of control and ramming towards that spot where he usually sat waiting for me. Underneath the car¡­dark red liquid spilled. I understand what it was. I know who it belongs to. But I don¡¯t want to accept it! WHY!? WHY IS THE ONLY PERSON TO CARE ABOUT ME HAD TO DIE!!!??? I screamed. I ran. I don¡¯t know where I was going. I just ran. I learned later on that he was actually my half-brother. My brother from my mother¡¯s side who threw me away. Because of that, my mother blamed me again. She threw things at me. I didn¡¯t run away. I let her hit me. I no longer cared. I wonder how brother is right now in heaven? That¡¯s when it struck me. With nothing else better to do, I hummed an anime song in my mind as I float towards nothingness. After a while, the feeling of moving was no longer there. Hmm¡­that¡¯s weird, I don¡¯t think I hit a wall though. Then again, I really can¡¯t feel anything. It¡¯s already surprising that I can feel myself from moving earlier. A wall¡­why is there a wall in this blank space? I wonder what¡¯s on the other side¡­not like I can break it. I don¡¯t think that there¡¯s an entrance either. Hmmm¡­break¡­break¡­if I had Strawhat Luffy¡¯s power, I wonder if I can break it? YAH! GOMU GOMU NOOO¡­BAZOOKA!!! Haha, as if! But what if it¡¯s Naruto in his nine tails form? Thinking that, I try to imagine myself turning into something like that and create two swirling orbs beside me with blades on the side. RASENSHURIKEN!!! ¡­Not working¡­ Meh, I have nothing better to do anyways, I¡¯ll just keep doing this. BANKAI! GETSUGA TENSHOU!!! KAME¡­HAME¡­HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! ULTRA SUPER NORMAL PUNCH!!!!!! THE KILLER¡­IS YOU! Yep, the favorite phrase of detective characters. Even now, I still don¡¯t understand why they exaggerate that moment so much¡­not that I¡¯m complaining. Sometimes, there¡¯s also something like this¡­ DOKODEMO DOOR! MIRMO DE PON! DEATH NOTE! Yep¡­I¡¯m getting off track here¡­ Come to think of it, there¡¯s one that I have forgotten¡­I wanted to leave this for last but I forgot from the countless spewing that I already made. Right, if I must say, this is my favorite move. The move that breaks illusion and turns it back to reality. If I were to be given a chance to have this power, I would probably use this countless of times to wake up from this stupid illusion called life. ¡°IMAGINE BREAKER!!!¡± (Ethan) For some reason, when I shouted this move, it had more depth than the others. I felt that it even echoed throughout this blank space. The surroundings shook. The wall cracked. The space reverberated. ¡­ ¡­Wait¡­did the wall just cracked!? Wait! There was actually a wall!!!??? From this space of nothing but darkness, for the first time, I saw light. In front of me, is a thin crack in the space and the light behind seemed to want to burst out from it. Soon, the crack lengthened and widened. Forming a web like fissures in the area in front of me before¡­ *Shatter* With the sound of glass shattering, the [Wall] broke into thousands of pieces and for the first time, I felt the warmth of sunlight again. # # # ¡°Nng¡­¡± (Ethan) As I regain consciousness, the first thing I felt was a headache. I rubbed my fingers on my temple on reflex but as expected, it didn¡¯t help to ease the pain one bit. Opening my eyes, I immediately closed it again from the bright light showering my face. After a while of adapting to it, I was finally able to fully open my eyes. This time, I saw the blue sky overhead, covered with the foliage of the trees surrounding me. The trees surrounded me, the smell of wild life, the sounds of insects roaming about, the rustling of the grass and leaves, the relaxing swaying of the branches, and the nice warm air of nature. I am definitely in an unpolluted place. It should be obvious that I won¡¯t find any civilization for a few kilometers from here¡­I think. Anyway¡­what am I doing in this place? Tilting my head in confusion, I closed my eyes and recall the past events. Ever since I was a child, I had only met misfortune. Mother abandoned me. Father tried to take responsibility, only giving up in the end and chose suicide. Got dragged into smuggling drugs. They were caught, then I was alone again. Then there was that orphanage and public school. Brother¡­that¡¯s right. Brother died didn¡¯t he? After that, I killed myself to follow him. Right! I was reincarnated! If it happened to me, then it surely happened to brother as well! If it¡¯s brother, then he will definitely be a hero in his second life. Alright, it¡¯s decided! I¡¯m going to find brother in this world! Who knows, maybe we were both sent to the same world after we died. But still¡­ I looked down on my body and saw a bloodied t-shirt and pants. Since I have no way to prove that imagine breaker exists in my right arm, I just sighed and focused on other stuffs. After all¡­I don¡¯t really want to test it by catching a fireball or something. Speaking of which, I wonder if magic exists in this world? ¡°Haah¡­there¡¯s too many questions in my head and no one to answer¡­not like something like a chance encounter will happen and a beautiful girl shows up for some reason¡­hmm, I wonder if this is edible?¡± (Ethan) Seeing a mushroom below, I looked at it curiously for a few seconds before taking a small bite. I don¡¯t know how much time had passed since my death but I¡¯m really starving. ¡°Ah! You can¡¯t eat that!¡± (???) ¡°Huh?¡± (Ethan) Surprised at the sudden shout, I turned my head towards the direction of the voice but immediately after, my mind suddenly became dizzy and my vision blurred. I only saw a silhouette of a person running over to me and crouching down. ¡°H-hey!¡± (???) Hearing a sweet voice above me, I didn¡¯t think that I was lucky that someone had come to help me. Author''s Rants Ei guys, to those who still doesn''t know me, I''m ImagineXBreaker. And yes, my favorite LN is Toaru Majutsu no Index! In this novel, you will see alot of cliche scenarios and events. Also, alot of twists you wouldn''t expect! This novel was brought into idea when I thought what would happen if every MC''s powers are placed in one person. Frankly, this is how I imagined it as what I will do if it happens to me so yeah...I don''t think this will have a definite story line. By the way, I''ve already set up a trap for everyone. Her figure was also a perfect hourglass shape with a breast that is just the right size that should fit perfectly in my palm and round buttocks to go with it. Her eyes were like emerald jewels as they shone a green light from the sunlight¡¯s reflection. All in all, she¡¯s really a perfect beauty. Added to that, her kind personality which I knew she had because she tried to warn me from eating that mushroom before. Not to mention that she¡¯s from the country side so she should be adept with cooking. A perfect wife material! There was only one problem though¡­her hairstyle!
