 Prologue: What i left

    School had just finished, as I stretched myself, standing from my seat. My face had a huge grin planted on it as I packed my bag to find my girlfriend. Studying at different schools, we always had trouble finding time meeting each other, but whenever we did, we would always make use of our time to the maximum. Feeling slightly fatigue from the short run, I looked up to realise a familiar face looking at me.


    Looking at the sight, I couldn¡¯t help but just admire the view.  Her hair was a rich shade of mahogany. It flowed like waves, enhancing her bright porcelain-like skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright, blue and seemed to brighten the world. A straight nose, full lips - she seemed the picture of perfection. Her name is Cai Hong and I could be proud to say that she was my girlfriend. Being a virgin for close to 18 years, the thought of my birthday coming up tomorrow left me exhilarated. Promised the most amazing night, I could already feel my ¡®little brother¡¯ standing.


    Afterwards, we left to go eat and also watched a movie. Even though I wasn¡¯t really interested in the movie, just being beside Cai Hong made me happy enough. Finishing the movie at around 5, we still had a little time before going home so we went shopping. Being raised in a family that sold antiques cause me to have and avid interest in all types of different antiques and it was the same this time. Giving Cai Hong a heads up, I went to the antique shop as I realise the uniqueness of it. Clad in black, the whole shop looked menacing and scary, but I walked in anyways.

Dressed in a somewhat weird way, I ignored the strange look as I walked up to her. ¡®Is there anything interesting in here?¡¯ I asked. Pointing at a ring that looked somewhat ordinary, the weird store owner said ¡®It is said this ring can only be possessed by those who were fated to receive it, if not the ring would forever remain on the hunt, looking for its true owner.¡¯ Not believing any of the bizarre things the shop owner said, I was still indeed intrigued by the ring and decided to get it. ¡®Hope you¡¯re the one he is looking for,¡¯ were the last words I heard before leaving the shop.


    Wearing the ring, i waved and walked  towards Cai Hong, before the  thoughts of the ring suddenly disappeared from my mind instantly as I saw a truck the size of 4 normal car bulldozing its way through the road as if a starving bull chasing down its meal straight towards Cai Hong. Frantic feelings engulfed me as I felt helpless, the only thought I had was that I needed to save her. Adrenaline pumped through my body as I felt the sudden impulse, making me jump to push Cai Hong aside. All I could think of at that moment was ¡®SAVE HER!¡¯


    Afterwards, all I could feel was sticky fluid flowing down my head as I laid on the floor like a dead fish. Feeling extremely tired, I closed my eyes as I thought to myself ¡®At least she¡¯s OK.¡¯ There I took my last breath.

 My new journey

    Opening my eyes, I find myself in a foreign land. Struggling to open my eyes from the bright light, two bewitching female entered my view, as I stood up abruptly. ¡®The lord will see you now.¡¯ They said. Surprised at their words I had no idea who I would be expecting me. With a huge headache, I thought of what had happened. Haven¡¯t I died? Is this the fabled heaven? Lost in my thoughts I suddenly realise the two woman still looking at me as if looking at an exotic creature before I immediately apologised. ¡®Shall we leave now?¡¯ they asked. Not knowing what to expect, I could only follow the two woman.


    Along the path, I saw flowers that looked as if it was dancing as I wondered what sort of magical place we were in. Stopping at the stairs that looked as if it reached the heavens, I could only imagine how long it would take to reach there. ¡®Just walk all the way up and the lord will see you.¡¯ Was what left me dumbfounded as I took a second glance at my destination. How was I supposed to reach there? Left with stares on me, I could only grit my teeth as I decided to climb the stairs.


    A step at a time, I climbed and climbed as I became loss in my own thoughts. Suddenly I saw myself in different places and meeting different people. Images of myself in challenges or in bliss was all around, the difficulties I had to face and the choices I had to make. Time passed and passed as I felt myself awaken to abruptly. Feeling like more than a thousand years have passed, I realised that I had already reached the top step and was facing a gigantic palace. Who knew I had actually gained the fortune of a lifetime by being able to see the memories of my past reincarnations. I was a king, general, soldier, scholar, commoner, slave, and a martial master that was in the peak of my own world.


    Plated in what looked like gold, my curiosity peaked as my legs started moving by itself. Walking in, all I could see was a lone figure sitting on a throne. Suddenly I felt an immense pressure pushing me down before realising it was that man. Not even noticing me, he was calmly looking through a scroll. ¡®Oh,¡¯ he suddenly said, before the pressure from before instantly disappeared. Beckoning me to move closer, he looked at me with an interested look before saying ¡®A weak boy, but worthy of my respect.¡¯ I was left surprised by his words before hearing him talk again. ''An orphan who was able to gain a small fortune through investments, just to donate it all to charity. Going through community service twice every week, do you know that many people¡¯s life was saved by these actions of yours?¡¯ I was once again shocked by how informed this man seemed to be. Indeed I had decided to give back to society when I was able to gain my own income, and doing community service was an activity that I enjoyed, but how did this man know?
