《On The Road To Her Destiny》 Prologue: The myth of the three magical tribes Long long time ago, there was a supreme power that controlled the entire universe, known as Krios. He decided the fate and the secrets of the entire universe, put it in the divine book of destiny and passed it on to his three daughters, Elda with the power of fire , Lynne with the power of water , and Brisa with the power of wind. They maintained peace and unity in the universe. The earth was full of magical creatures like elves, dragons, fairies, etc unlike the other planets in the universe. They also had monsters and demons who were not quite happy with the three sisters. Their leader, Ifrux, also known as the Duskseeker, wanted to overthrow the three sisters and take over the universe but the sisters always managed to suppress them and send the demons to the underworld and the monsters to the dark forest. To stop the demons and monsters from creating a nuisance on the earth again and again, the three sisters assigned the responsibility to maintain peace on the earth to three major tribes, the Camdyns, the Apsaras, and the Nurias. They looked like normal human beings, but their IQ and EQ level was way beyond the level of an exceptionally intelligent human being. They had special powers given to them by the three sisters. The Camdyns have the wind power, the Apsaras have the water power and the Nurias have the fire power. The Camdyns, Apsaras, and the Nurias maintained peace and unity throughout the world. Everything was going well until the time came for the continental drift. the three tribes, the Camdyns, the apsaras, and the nurias, were worried about all the magical creatures. If the continental drift would happen, then all the magical creatures living on earth would die which would erase the very existence of them. The three tribes tried to convince the sisters to stop this continental drift but they said that this was decided by their father, Lord Krios, and written in the divine book of destiny by him and they were no one to change the fate written by their father. This made the three tribes angry. They started a protest against it. This fight between the three tribes and the sisters began to cause a nuisance in the world. The peace was no longer there in the world. Seeing this situation, the demon''s and monster''s leader, Ifrux saw it as a good opportunity to overthrow the sisters and take over the world. They began planning how to overthrow them while the fight was becoming more and more terrible. Finally, the day came when the demons and monsters attacked the Immortal Palace, the place where the sisters lived while the three tribes and the sisters were having a discussion. The duskseeker, Ifrux, attacked mistress Elda. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Without thinking twice, the leader of the Camdyn tribe sprang in front of the attack and gave his life. Seeing that, the three sisters'' heart got touched. Meanwhile, the three tribes started fending off the demons. After some bloodshed, they were successful in sending the demons and monsters back to their place. The three sisters felt guilty about the death of Nylyn, the Camdyn tribe leader, so she decided to give the tribes what they want. They told that they can''t go against the fate written by their father but, if they agree, they can make a new world, a new planet and move all the magical creatures, including the demons and monsters, and create their own new civilisation again where there will only be the existence of magical creatures. The tribes agreed to it and began making arrangements for it. The sisters soon created a magic portal and all the magical creatures moved to their new world right before the continental drift. This is how their new world, which they named Algeshia, was formed. This story was passed on from generations to generations on the Earth after is was formed again. But the traces of the magical world soon started disappearing and after few centuries, people started considering it as a myth. So this story became one of the most popular myths around the world. Now, coming back to the current time, in Manhattan, USA, there is a tourist spot regarding this myth. It is believed that the three sisters'' Immortal Palace was situated here and has a lot of history of this myth connected to this tourist spot. One of the tourist guides working over there is Aimee Johnson. She is literally in love with this myth. A part of her also thinks that this myth is actually real. She drives her little brother crazy with this story. A little did she know that she''s a Novern and before you ask what a Novern is, Noverns are those human beings who have special, unique powers. Wait as she uncovers this story and gets deported to Algeshia. Who know what''s written in her fate? Find out more in the next chapter...... Chapter 1: Teleported to Algeshia CHAPTER 1 "Josh!! I kept your cereal and the permission slip on the dining table!! Now hurry up and get moving already!!" I yelled to my little bro who''s still getting ready for school when he is supposed to wait for the school bus to arrive. "Whatever you do, don''t miss the bus like yesterday." "I''ll try!!" he answered back. Yeah right, try. I checked the time. Carter, my boyfriend, is gonna come here any minute to pick me up to drop me at the Immortal palace ruins, a tourist spot, my workplace. I work as a tour guide over there. Honk... honk... ah, he''s here.I was about to leave when I saw Josh seeing TV when he''s actually supposed to hurry to his bus stop. "Josh!! Stop watching Naruto and pack your bag!!". Carter was getting really late now. He shouted "Aimee! Are you coming?". God, I was late. I hurried out of my home and saw him leaning on his expensive car, waiting for me. He checked his Rolex (yeah, he''s stinking rich) and raised his eyebrow. "Sorry for being late" I automatically responded."Whatever" he replied. Really? I apologised and all he''s got is a plain whatever? However, I kept quiet because 1) he''s my boyfriend and 2) His car is my mode of transport. I quietly sat in his car. There was an awkward silence. None of us decided to break it. After a long(and awkward) drive, I reached my stop. I saw my friends in the cafe near our tourist spot. I briefly waved a goodbye to Carter and walked to my friends."Lemme guess, another fight with Carter?"said Marlene. She is like my best friend. "Yeah". I started narrating the whole incident. "Why do you even put up with him?" asked Taylor."Yeah, break up with him. He expects you to treat him like a king just because he''s rich."Ryan added. My stomach spun listening to their words. A part of me says that maybe they''re right. but I don''t know why, I just can''t do that.But Carter is always annoyed on littlest of the things and it doesn''t just work out between us. But again, I can''t, I just don''t wanna. Okay, stop this war inside. Just forget it, I thought. All of us drank a latte and chatted for some time and finally returned to the tourist spot. The spot opened and the tourists started coming over. I took my first group of tourists around explaining and then I reached to the side of the immortal palace which was near the forested area which was forbidden for tourists. I started to hear the same noises I hear every day whenever I reach this place. But today, these noises seemed to be louder. Like every day, I had a hard time trying to explain at this place but, like every day, I managed to evade these noises, explained nicely and made my clients happy which is a trait of a good guide. A pat on my back, please. After tour guiding three to four groups, the time for our lunch break came. Me, Marlene, Taylor and Ryan generally sit together in the cafeteria. "So you''re saying that you heard those noises again?"Taylor asked. I nodded my head briefly."But we all take our tourists to that spot and we never heard any sorts of noises. I mean, that forest is deserted " Ryan said dramatically. Generally, Marlene always takes my side but she was supporting Ryan this time."Yeah, he''s right. Mr.Brown (our boss) even sent some people in there to see if there was something wrong in the forest when you told him about the noises. But what did they find? nothing. You need to take some rest, hun" I was just fed up of that noise and all my friends are telling me that I''m just imagining that noise? Then I finally decided to do something about it."I''m going inside the forest the find the source of the sound". "What?!?!" the three of them said in unison."No!! you can''t!!" "That''s quite dangerous!!" "Isn''t that place forbidden to go?" I answered all the three questions calmly "Yes, I can, Its not that dangerous, and that place is forbidden for tourists, not the guides". I finished my lunch quickly and headed for the forest. I reached the forbidden forest, jumped over the ''No Entry'' sign and entered the forest. Not gonna lie, It was kinda scary. I mean, deep woods, being alone in it.... Anyway, I started hearing those sounds again I started following them and reached to a place where I could not see the yellow ''no entry'' tape.The sounds were now at its maximum level and I was sure that the source of those sounds was somewhere around here.I followed the sound and it lead me to a rock covered with many leaves and vines. I couldn''t understand. The noise was coming from that rock. Confused, I leaned on that rock. Or I at least I thought I did. But, there was no rock. I fell through it and realised that it was a secret tunnel. I nervously crawled into that tunnel. A long way, but I eventually managed to get to its end. The I saw the source of the sound. And I was shocked. Are you ready to find out? I''m sure you are. So here goes.... the source of the sound was the magic portal. If you don''t remember, the magic portal was made by the three sisters for all the magical creatures to go to Algeshia and if you don''t remember what''s Algeshia, please refer to the prologue. Anyway, I was really scared and shocked. Slowly and cautiously, I moved towards the magic portal. But looks like I went too close ''cause I was sucked into it."Aaaaaaaagghhhhh" I was screaming like hell. My head was spinning and I felt like throwing up. It was too much for me to take. I fell unconscious. And don''t ask me what happened next, I don''t know, I was unconscious. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. "Ughhh" I slowly opened my eyes and thought that this was just a nightmare until I saw the surroundings. I was on a bed in a tent. I saw two people entering the room. I quickly shut my eyes and don''t ask me why. It is just an old habit. One of them started to speak. "Lady Sena, these creatures were found the following week near the magic portal ". Judging from the voice, she sounded immature, like an eighteen or a nineteen-year-old girl. Then this ''lady Sena'' or someone spoke."Hmmm, a squirrel, a bird, a mouse....." She sounded disinterested until she reached my bed.".....A human?!? Do you know what this means?! Do you think that she could be the one??" Then the immature girl spoke unsurely "Well... She was unconscious for days now. I mean, an average Novern (Noverns are those humans who have magical powers within them. These powers can be unusual but extremely powerful) who would fall unconscious while passing through the magic portal would maximum be unconscious for a day or so but she... seems to be a very weak Novern.... There is a chance that she could be the one, though". I could not take it any longer "What the hell are you talking about?!?" I shouted. "So you were awake and were listening to our talk. Ah, and Lora, join her in the training and help her in it, as soon as she completely recovers." said Lady Sena. I quite didn''t understand what she said. I tried to ask her but she ignored me and left the tent. Then, that immature girl came to me and asked"Are you feeling better? ''Cause if you are, then I have to enrol you in the training". "Who are you?"I asked. She wasn''t expecting this answer"Umm, I''m Lora and I am nineteen. And how exactly did you reach here?" I answered "I used to hear weird noises from the forest. I went into the forest to find out the source of these noises. I leaned over a rock and I fell through it and went into the tunnel and found some kind of magical thing and was sucked into it". My words led her into deep thoughts and after a few minutes, she finally opened her mouth."Hmm, I think I understand what happened. You are in Algeshia right now". I couldn''t believe my ears"What?!? How did I reach here?!?" Lora calmly replied "The reason you were hearing these noises is because of the magic portal. It was recently opened by someone who was not the three sisters and the only other creature who has the power to do it is Ifrux, the leader of the demons and the monsters. Seems like he is planning something new to overthrow the sisters. Something big. Something dangerous for Algesia as written in the fate of Algeshia. Anyway, because you are a Novern, only you of all the people could listen to the sounds produced by the magic portal when it opened. And regarding the ''The one'' we were talking about, there was a prophecy written by Lord Krios in the Divine book of destiny that the '' the one'' who''s supposed to be a Novern will either save Algeshia and Seal the demons and monsters forever or will become the right-hand person to Ifrux. You could be the one but you''re....... kind of weak, really weak" I took a deep breath and asked, "So, is there any way I can get out of Algeshia?" Lora answered in a disappointed manner "Of course not, until the three sisters take this matter into their own hands and that''s only gonna happen if you impress them with your valour. You might remember Nylyn, the camdyn tribe leader, right? You should something brave like him to get acknowledgement from the three sisters" Really? "So you''re saying that I have to die in order to go back to earth?" "No, you should do something brave" To see what would happen to Aimee in the first day on Algeshia, find out in the next chapter. Chapter 2: Rough Day Ahead CHAPTER 2 "Hey! Wake up" Lora shouted in my ear. She tried to wake me up from past 15 minutes. Now I finally understand how Josh feels when I wake him up in the morning. But this in way too much. It''s 4 in the morning. I tried to resist but looks like I spent too much energy doing it ''cause my sleep passed away. "Finally! I thought that it was impossible to wake you up!" I rolled my eyes. She ignored it and said"Now hurry up and have a bath. I kept some of my clothes on the dresser for you. Be there at the training ground in half an hour. Choose any weapon in the weapon case in the corner of the ground. Okay?". I lazily headed to the bathroom. I looked at Lora''s clothes. A plain tee shirt, a stylish sleeveless armour, black, tight pant and long boots. Totally not my style. I got dressed in ten and headed to the ground."Wow" I exclaimed as I saw the ground. A big empty space with lush green grass. A few tents were set up in a corner where the first aid and the refreshments were kept. The ground was filled with many people training. I searched for the big weapon case Lora was describing. But the ground was too big to search for it. I eventually gave up and asked one of the people fighting in the arena who lead me to it. There were wide varieties of weapons carefully placed in the case. I looked at them for a few minutes but still couldn''t figure out which one to use. Some of them were too big, some of them were too heavy, and the rest of them were too complicated. I mean, how should I know which one to choose when I have no experience at all? Then I spotted a cool looking sword in the corner, lying in a wooden crate. The bottom of the sword was engraved with a geometric design. I felt that it was the one. I walked towards it and picked up the sword- Oh no, the sword is way too heavy for me. I fell down with a thud and the sword went flying and landed one inch above my head. I take back my word. This sword isn''t meant for me. I don''t know what was I thinking. I''m not a hero in a book or a movie to succeed. Unfortunately, few girls saw me perform this feat and started laughing. One of these girls, probably their leader, pointed at a small girl fighting in the middle of the ground and said "You see my sister there? She can lift this sword easily, and guess what, she''s ten. You can''t even lift up a sword and they''re considering you to be ''the one''", and once again, those girls broke into laughter. Then, out of nowhere, a guy came. Mahogany hair, and dreamy blue eyes. He''s cute, I thought. He said "Girls, she''s new here. Let her breathe. You guys are not helping" Ah, finally someone who''s actually making me feel better. The girls sneered and left. The guy noticed that I was still lying on the ground and helped me up. Then he picked up the sword easily and kept it in the crate. Maybe I''m useless after all. He said, "Weak. Cannot lift heavy weapons". And then, he shoved my hand and it rotated 360 degrees. "Good flexibility.... I think I know a perfect weapon for you" But I was quite angry."What was that all about?!?!" I asked. "Oh, did I hurt you? Then I''m sorry" He smiled. His smile looked innocent so I decided to forgive him. He walked to the weapon case and took out a sabre and gave it to me. I looked at it in awe. Me, using a sabre. That''s the coolest thing ever. Josh would kill to get this opportunity. I was playing with the sabre when Lora came whistling in. She was all dolled up. She said, "Hey Jesse, Do you mind training Aimee today?" Jesse questioned her "And why exactly are you giving me your responsibility?" Lora seemed to get nervous "Uhhh... I''ve gotta meet Lady Sena in ten" Jesse raised his eyebrow. He said, "Really? Lady Sena is in a bad mood today and whenever she''s in a bad mood, she doesn''t meet people. I''m sure, you, her favourite, would know about it. And looks like you''ve put some effort to dress up." Lora took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I''m not meeting Lady Sena. I''m meeting Noah. And it''s really important. I think he''s gonna confess. PLEASE.... don''t tell this to Lady Sena" Jesse thought for a while and said, "Well..... Okay, but you''ve gotta tell me the entire thing later on" Lora gave a friendly smile and ran away. Guess even though she fights with a sword, wears warrior type clothes, and acts tough, she has a soft spot for guys. Chapter 3: A Duel Which Can Never Be Forgotten CHAPTER 3 I was wondering if Jesse knew anything about the ''the one'' prophecy. I couldn''t keep this question to myself and finally asked "hey, why do these people regard the prophecy with utmost respect and curiosity? Is it that important?". Jesse answered seriously "It''s very important. The future of Algeshia depends on it" Jesse continued "''The one'' is so powerful that he or she could destroy the entire Algeshia. The prophecy states that the ''the one'' will either destroy Algeshia with Ifrux or will seal Ifrux and his Demon and Monster''s army forever with the eternal blood seal, the most powerful seal in the entire universe. Not even the three heavenly sisters Only Lord Krios and his few trusted followers know how to use the eternal blood seal. Unfortunately, most of his followers died in the third war of Algeshians. The ones who survived the war escaped from Algeshia and are now nowhere to be seen.... Probably dead by now" I still had a doubt. I asked, ¡°Wait... If no one alive knows how to use the seal, then how will ¡®the one¡¯ know how to use it?¡± Jesse thought for the while and said, ¡°That¡¯s a good question. But I, or anyone else in Algeshia doesn¡¯t know the answer to this question.¡± I didn¡¯t want to train right now, so to drag this conversation, I asked, ¡°So, whom do the people consider ¡®the one¡¯?¡± ¡°Well, some people consider me to be the one, some people consider Aria, that girl who just teased you, and a few people consider Lora, but as far as I know, her strength is quite limited. And the rest of the people think that he or she hasn¡¯t arrived yet.¡± He didn¡¯t mention my name. I don¡¯t know why, it hurt me a little. I swept it off and asked, ¡°Who do you think it is?¡± He answered ¡°I think it you.... maybe¡± My heart skipped a beat. ¡°Really?¡± ¡°Yeah. Your novern powers are still unknown. So who knows how powerful you might be. And even though your physical strength might be a little weak, your brain level is really high .You are intelligent and with the combination of brain and novern powers, you could be stronger than most of us here¡±. Jesse picked up another sabre for him and moved towards the ground. We entered the training ground and started to warm up. Half of my energy was finished during the warm up itself. After that, Jesse began to teach me the basics. ¡°Catch the sword only with your right hand or left. This is a SABRE. You can¡¯t catch it with both hands. Now, keep your left hand a bit more higher and now, STRIKE!... again!¡± I kept striking again and again till one hour. I was getting hang of it now. Soon, Jesse taught me some more moves. After practicing for a few hours and taking endless breaks, Jesse told me to have a simple practice duel with him. ¡°Remember, Keep your elbows bent and close to your body, and Balance, keep your body balanced so you can strike or parry without being hit. Okay?¡± I nodded in response. The duel started. I thought that I was fully prepared but Jesse was striking against me continuously. People who were seeing this fight were trying to hide their laugh. Apparently, this level of striking was soft according to them. Some people who were weak saw this as an opportunity to distract their dueling partners with my duel and attack them from behind. I couldn¡¯t take the strikes anymore and fell to the ground. Seeing this, the other people started laughing aloud. I saw a blonde girl who was laughing most loudly. Aria. I went red with anger seeing her. I couldn¡¯t bear this embarrassment. I ran up to my room and cried and cried until I slept. Author¡¯s note: Sorry for this chapter being so short. Had to attend to some issues. Have a nice day c: Chapter 4: Ill train till I die CHAPTER 4 I opened my eyes. I recalled everything that happened today. I was dueling with Jesse and I lost badly, all the people, especially that mean Aria, were laughing loudly at me. I ran to my room and I cried and here I am, Weak Aimee, sleeping on my bed instead of doing something about it. But what can I even do? I am too weak to challenge Jesse, or anyone else in here. I checked the time in my wrist watch, the only useful thing I had on me when I was teleported into Algeshia. It was 2:00 pm, Thursday. What? It was exactly the same time when I was teleported into Algeshia. I peeked into the window and it looked like it was midnight. My eyes fell on the wall clock in my room and it was 11:05 pm. But my watch was working fine. Ah, I get it. There must be a time fluctuation between the earth and Algeshia. Then I realized that I slept through the breakfast, lunch and dinner. No wonder that my stomach was growling. I went out of my room hoping that someone would be awake and would give me some food. I was heading to a refreshment camp when I saw a silhouette of a young girl, probably in her teens, crying alone in an empty playground. My instincts told me to go near her, and that¡¯s what I did. I saw her face and immediately recognized her. ¡°Lora!? Wha... What are you doing here?... Why are you crying?!?¡± Lora slowly turned her head towards me. ¡°Noah¡­. He broke up with me¡±. ¡°Umm.. Who¡¯s Noah?¡±, ¡°That guy, whom I was supposed to meet today. That¡¯s why Jesse trained with you instead of me¡­. He broke up with me so that he could date my sister¡±. Oh yeah. I remember her talking about that guy. She was so excited to meet him. ¡°I thought that¡­. He was gonna propose to me today¡­. But Aria¡­¡±Aria? I was confused, ¡°Hey, what¡¯s Aria got to do with this?¡± ¡°Aria is my sister. She is the reason why he broke up with me. And just because she¡¯s my sister, it doesn¡¯t mean I like her,That bitc¡­. Oops sorry¡±, ¡°Pretend that I¡¯m deaf right now¡± She started calling Aria bad names again. I really felt bad for Lora. Even though she was a bit irritating sometimes and woke me up really early and spoiled my beauty sleep, she was nice. I forgot about my hunger and started comforting her. After a while, she became her usual cheerful self which comforted me because if I stayed comforting her, I would soon die of hunger. ¡°Uh, Lora? Do you happen to have some food? I slept through my breakfast lunch AND dinner¡±, ¡°What? Why didn¡¯t you say that before? Come on¡±. She grabbed my hand and dragged me to her room. She went to her fridge and came back with a bag of potato chips and some chocolate-chip cookies. Ah, finally, the fruit of my patience. I began to eat it quickly. After some time, Lora asked me, ¡°I heard that you lost badly in a duel with Jesse¡±. Those words made me boil with anger but I maintained my peace and said, ¡°Well, words travel fast¡±, ¡°Hey, don¡¯t be mad at Jesse, he¡¯s always like this when somebody trains with him. No matter how close the person is to him, he would train hard with them, even if he would embarrass the person. He doesn¡¯t really show any feelings during the training. He even embarrassed Aria in front of everyone even though they were on good terms. Aria used to like him before but after that fight, she made him her biggest enemy¡±. You will not forgive him until you duel him again and defeat him ¡±, ¡°What?!? Are you insane?!? I¡¯m weak!! I can¡¯t defeat him¡­¡±, ¡°Get that thing out of your head. You¡¯re not weak¡±. I was confused. What was Lora thinking? I asked her ¡°What should I do then?¡± Lora smiled faintly and said, ¡°We¡¯ll train until you you become the strongest Algeshian in the world. You have the potential to become one¡± Maybe she¡¯s really insane but I wanted to disarm Jesse and make him fall to the ground. I was ready to train until I die. I finished eating the cookies and got up. I¡¯m gonna be strong, BELIEVE IT!! God, I sound like Naruto. Chapter 5: The Unpleasant Truth CHAPTER 5 I and Lora entered the training ground. It looked the same except it was empty and pitch black this time. "Uh, Lora, how are we gonna train if we can''t see anything?" I said. Lora simply smiled and said, "Just wait and watch". She turned towards the wooden torches and closed her eyes for few seconds as if she was meditating or something . She opened her eyes in a flash, pointed the palm of her hand at the wooden torch and she did something amazing, really amazing. She shot a ball of fire out of the palm of her hand. That ball hurled towards the torch and lit it up. She did the same to light up the remaining torches as I stared at her in awe. "How the hell did you do that?! Is that your novernal power*?" I asked. Lora answered, "No it''s an inbuilt power in me" I gave her a look of confusion as she continued to speak, "My mom is the part of the Nuria tribe, you know, one of the three main tribes with the fire power. So, the fire property is inbuilt in me. There are a very few noverns in here and a novern with a magical creature parent, it is really rare to find them around here. There are maybe like three of four around and guess what, Aria doesn''t have it. That''s the reason she''s jealous of me. Anyway, It is really great if one of our parents is a magical creature. The inbuilt power we get from them is so strong that even a person with greatly tamed novernal powers will find it a little bit hard to defeat them. But the only flaw in an inbuilt power is that it exhausts a little quickly, more quickly than normal novernal powers. The reason why we all train our physical strength is because if our powers exhaust in the middle of a fight, then we can fight our way out. Overall, it''s good to have inbuilt power".
