《Re:elemental The Greatest Spark [Hiatus]》 Chapter 1) Prologue a spark is born Hey there, I know I''m talking to myself but yeah I''m having a mini panic attack here, my name''s Lance, Lance Falcon, great name right? my parents thought so but my classmates thought it wasn''t, anyway how can I describe this? At the minute I''m currently floating in this void? Its a rather strange tale as to how I ended up here I was certain I had died and yet I''m here I am, floating in this...void. Confused? Well we''re in the same boat, (que dramatic music) you see it started as an average day, on an average night, after a day of attending college and having come back to binge on games and Mountain Dew (not really, I''m not a casual) my usual ritual around 6pm would be to start my dinner which consisted of either oven pizza or some other fast foody type meal that required minimal effort. Normally it would take 10 minutes of standing around waiting for the heavenly sound of my rubber ducky clock screaming that dinner was ready, today however I was careless, so careless was I today that I must have offended the gamer Gods'' for veering from my daily ritual, for today was the day I had left my dinner cooking unattended. Now Lance you say, how could you do that! pizza is a sacred meal of the gods! Well it was simply, I had a raiding party to kill the elusive field dragon "Shelly" (who names these bosses?), being the lead tank I had no luxury of time, my parties mood was like dragon fire, angry enough even with just 10 wipes so forgoing any common sense I hastily retreated back to my game. My efforts to cut corners had left the gods angry, they demanded BLOOD! through carelessness I had forgotten my faithful companion, my ducky clock, had I remembered to set it I would have instantly ran and saved my dinner as soon as it quacked and yet it remained silent through the chain of events that were about to start. It wasn''t long before things started to heat up quite literally, 10 minutes went by then 20 minutes and finally 30 minutes, as if an achievement was unlocked my kitchen exploded into a ball of fire, my jalape?o and pepperoni pizza extra crispy from there everything was on fire, it didn''t take long before I realised that both my party and my house were going down in flames. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Black smoke filled my room, its burning fumes filled my lungs and my instincts kicked into overdrive, I had no time to save anything (so long my collection of Pokemon cards, I''ll miss mew) I made a mad dash to get out of my house, It didn''t take me long to find the stairs and fall down them, dazed I had no time to notice that my arm became disfigured in both shape and addition of fire, my arm burning, panic setting in I ignore the pain and dashed outside. My once proud house lost in flame but I had no time to look back, I had barely any time to even look where I was running to as I ran into the centre of the road. It was then I had noticed it, instinctively I called its cursed name "Truck-san!?" The large truck speeding towards me, the grim reaper only a mere meter away and yet somehow I was saved, I hadn''t been hit by the clich¨¦ of all stories unfortunately for me it swerved into a lamppost, unstable and with evil intentions it targeted me in its death throes, aiming to get revenge. I have no recollection of what happened in that exact moment but apparently the lamppost had obliterated my head. And that''s how I managed to get here, into this paradise of...nothingness? ________________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: So I''ve been in Hiatus for too long, far too long for me to keep the story fresh, I noticed flaws in my original work which is why I''m I decided to redo all of it again, expect harem, danger and a more diverse cast of characters PS I kinda fancy making anti-clich¨¦ jokes, I''m all ears to hearing feedback on this regard (or anything really) Chapter 2) Life is like a box of chocolates I don''t know how long I''ve floated here, the events prior still clear as day and yet regardless of what I do I nothing changes, I can''t possibly be dead, I haven''t finished writing my fanfictions (?¡ã ?? ?¡ã) Neither heaven or hell has come for me could it be that I''m in a coma? Recalling my extensive knowledge of manga, light novel and fan fiction (no I''m not an Otaku) I should expect a kick to the balls any time soon... As if on cue *Ding*

It took me a second, then a minute before it sunk in "Hey wait a fuc..." Sudden the once barren void started to shift, the blue screen shook and an invasion of colour''s rushed to fill the once empty space. Disorientated I hardly had any time before gasping in shock at this brand new world I was in, this was definitely not the city I was once in as I stared in disbelief, what was once a busy city filled with skyscrapers was now completely gone, I half expected myself to just wake up in my bed having experienced a horrible nightmare and yet, what lay before me was testament that I was no longer in London. Looking around more I found myself not surrounded by the remains of my house or street but I was in a forest that spanned hundreds of acre¡¯s of vast green tree¡¯s and yet this was tiny in comparison to the physics defying islands in the sky, motionless islands of varying sizes and altitudes littered the sky, some were no bigger than a house while the largest was the size of a large mountain. Apparently my grand entrance was a rather fiery one, situated in a small crater is where I am, around me appears to be fallen tree''s both on fire and charred from an impact, in the epicentre was me and a rather mysterious ruby, perfectly cut 5cm by 5cm the smallish ruby sat floating above the dirt. Having regained my composure I found to my surprise that I had blue icons in my peripheral vision, focusing on them they responded in kind.

I was baffled, why would such a thing be here? In a game this would have been end gear loot, only reserved for the best of the best and yet it was here sitting in the middle of a forest, it was one mystery I would have to investigate later on, the more serious issue needed to be tended to, the ultimate fantasy of all boys, magic! it would be so simple for me, years of light novels had taught me the secret tricks to using magic, I had been "taught" that the key to magic is visualising how you needed it, for example Fireball, a simple spell in all MMO''s and as the name implies a simple ball of flame. Now however was the moment of truth, I was felt adventurous why start with the boring spell when I could conjure flames out of nothing! I prepared myself, I could FEEL the magic, as if a cool wave over a blazing inferno washed over me I prepared my spell. "Fire Spr...." Suddenly before I finished chanting the spell as if someone had popped a party popper a small smokescreen appeared in front of me, from it a tiny figure with wings appeared. "Hey ther....!" (tiny fairy) *FWOOOOOOSH* "....Waaaah" I scream as I loose control over my spell. My spell hit the tiny creature, its features instantly vaporizing within seconds but i still continue to keep firing even after its charred body hits the ground with a weak thud, it took me a few seconds until I regain myself and stop my spell. "......" a lone gust of wind blew past me, silence returned as I stared at the mess I had made, that once tiny fairy now lays as charred meat, since when did this ever happen? did I just kill the cute side companion, the one that every story focuses on when it requires the cute factor to rely on? As if sensing the awkwardness the system didn''t spare a moment before celebrating my "achievement".

________________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: I''m not too happy on the descriptions of the stats but I''d rather it be more precise than fluff, I''ll look into it at a later date but right now I feel it does its job properly Rather than have a huge information dump in the main chapters I''d rather have the explain the inner workings of stats in a side chapter Kinda lazy but I felt it was better to leave it as "general" knowledge for the MC (well he was a gamer after all), this way I don''t have to write an entire conversation repeating what a majority of people know while also being less of an information dump in the main chapter (of course status will appear just not now) plus your not really in the mood to read its far easier to come back to this chapter than having to go through the chapters finding out Chapter 3) First Fairies now this? My first day here and I''ve already killed my helper, hell I haven''t even been here for 10 minutes and I''ve already fucked up. I can''t keep staring at this mush so I decided to try storing it in my inventory, surprisingly the soldering piece of meat vanishes from sight, I probably shouldn''t mention this to anyone... Having learnt my lesson I decided to experiment a bit more cautiously from now on, my main method of moving had not been what I expected, having been born with no feeling of legs it came down to Levitate to propel myself in any given direction, I had a full range of motion and after a few minutes of training I found I could go up / down, 360 degrees and diagonal, or a mix of both. Additionally moving seems to bring along the core so I figure it must be attached to my body as of right now, I feel so naked having my jewel on display but it must be something unique to this world, perhaps when I find a fellow human I can discuss the whole "gem" business. The local surroundings having been wiped clear gave me plenty of room to get used to this new form of movement and with it came the perfect testing grounds to experiment with, having already made one mistake I''ll leave I decided to test something less lethal which only left me with my other spell Absorb, a rather vague spell yet I could see the potential in it, having a lack of targets I decided to try it on a nearby burning tree. Unlike Flame Spray instead of drawing forth mana and then expelling it I found that Absorb worked in the opposite way, I had to draw my mana towards the target, envelop it and then I could drain it, although ineffective I found through testing that the closer I am the faster I absorb, through a curious accident I made a little breakthrough, it appears that magic is far more flexible than I had initially though, through mental imaging I managed to change the original spell so that instead of a thin link of mana it was now a chain link spear (think scorpion "get over here") This tiny change in approach changed the entire way that Absorb worked, with a physical image the connection was far stronger allowing me to absorb faster and more, it also physically embedded itself into the truck leaving a very real wound were it once was. Additionally I can summon an almost limitless amount of these spears but unfortunately the cost doubles for each spear, controlling 10 spears costs me 50 mana a second, while I believe I have a huge capacity of mana I could easily blow it in a fight if I''m not careful which will limiting myself to only 2 spears at this time, fortunately I can control each spear independently. Unfortunately I am currently only able to do complex movement with one spear, adding another reduces the complex pattern on both, at max I can control 10 spears, this however reduces their movement from graceful twirls and cartwheels to simple spreading out and jabbing at their target. Furthermore when at this limit it gives me a migraine, each movement adds another needle to the mix. So far I have spent 2 hours in this world and all I had to show for my great effort was a charred fairy, with a sigh I gazed towards the distant sky, contemplating on what I should do next, I mean normally the hot babe would immediately would discover the pitiful hero and join them by giving directions but I think that''s now impossible since I just killed her. I remained silent for a few minutes, letting the natural sound the sound of nature take over, birds chirping, animals howling, the clash of steel and cries of blood, squirrels foraging for their nuts... Hang on clash of steel and cries of blood? Perhaps a fair maiden is in trouble and needs my help? maybe I can redeem myself! my blood boiled, anticipation of meeting both civilisation and a fair maiden was too alluring to consider the other facts. I floated as fast as I could towards the sound, it grew louder and louder with more and more cries of steel and blood added to the mix. Soon a clearing opened up in the tree line the vast forest parting to reveal what should have been a wide clearing for an open road that was far from lonely, on one side of the road stood a small mountain of small corpses, on top of said mountain was 20 knights, followed by 12 less armoured folk, some with bow and arrow while others had staff''s each glowing different colours. On the other side however was beyond belief, as if a small lake of over a thousand little green men shuffled, only a few feet tall yet wielding crudely designed weapons and clothing, some even forgoing clothing altogether, in the mix of the army was a spread out groups of what appeared to be portable beer barrels? Seemingly dumbfounded I realised that I had stumbled upon a battlefield. The army of green men was constantly moving, without any coordination each and everyone of them shoved themselves trying to get to their prize of human kebab. Feeling like it was a perfect time to test Identify again I targeted one of the few with a barrel strapped to his back

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. That''s odd, perhaps even familiar but right now I''m in a really dangerous spot, both sides are unrelenting but its only a matter of time before the knights die, when they die they''re bound to find me, I''d rather not die to a goblin so soon, especially to a goblin. Feeling the resolve to give my aid I gathered my mana into firing a Fireball, through testing I had a fairly decent range but the further it travelled the less power it would have in the explosion that followed, I hadn''t gotten the hang of it but I gathered what I felt was 200 mana into a shot. My plan was simple, overkill the generals and the mass of goblins will surely flee into panic, even if they decide to keep on fighting the Kegmasters can no longer provide them their buffs, without support the knights will surely be able to win, hell they might even give me a hero''s welcome if I do a good enough job. I launched my Fireball at my target, one of the Kegmasters whom was further away but commanded a large portion of goblins. Watching gleefully as I enacted my plan, I readied another Fireball to start the onslaught *BOOOOOOOOM* The earth shook where once the Kegmaster was standing, my prepared Fireball falling to nothingness as I lost concentration on it as I watched in both awe and horror at what had happened, the once endless horde was only a fraction of it size now having lost one third of its army, nothing remained at the epicentre, my original target the Kegmaster and a third of the goblins instantly decimated, those unlucky enough to not die instantly were writhing on the ground as they were consumed by fire.

The previous sound of battle was nowhere to be found and the once formidable goblin horde was down 400 or so men. The goblins aware of this new threat remained in silence their once savage behaviour vacant, they hadn''t noticed me attacking and even under both enthral and enrage it wasn''t enough to quell the fear that was struck into their very core, their previous blood-lust was replaced with fear. It started with one followed by two then four until a wave of panicked goblins started swarming away, some of them tried to rally their horde again but were quickly pushed over and quickly made into mush, they scattered into all direction. Suddenly I was snapped away from the horde to a lone goblins shout. "Shiny object me bring home ", its eyes had a glint of desire then suddenly the clumsily moving goblin broke into a frivolous charge towards me. I had a hundred options to take and yet, as if a cold dagger was traced along my back I froze I had never been in immediate danger and despite my new found power I had no experience in life or death situation (my death doesn''t count), its carefree charge took me by surprise I hadn''t expected it to be so swift, quickly closing the distance between me and it before I could even call up a spell the goblin had already brought his crude mace up to prepare to hit me, preparing for the worst I turned away expecting a quick death. A sudden sharp pain, vision shaking and mind reeling in shock, I waited for the next blow expecting my end but it never came? I turned to see what had happened to it to discovered it had burnt its entire face off, only charred bone remained of its once ugly face and a stump was all that was left of the arm that swung the club, how I asked myself? I hadn''t activated anything, taking a second I checked my health, from that one blow I had lost 50 health but nothing else was amiss, I even gained a new passive...

________________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: That''s it for now, as much as I wish to keep this streak up I unfortunately can''t promise anything, I wanted to get these three chapters out, see any potential flaws and then work on them If you''ve enjoyed reading so far let me know, feedback is welcomed, especially on grammar, spelling or just your thoughts on the story so far Chapter 4) A Change of Perspectives? POV: Our "handsome" hero The once chaotic battlefield now deserted of all but human life, goblin corpses and dying embers were all that was left of the once monstrous army, I had expected the humans to start running straight home but it appears as though they were...celebrating? While the knights stood on guard they were just laughing and cheering? maybe this world is stranger than I though, hell one of them was even cutting the goblins up, he even thrusts his hand diving elbow deep into its skull and retrieving a small gleaming object. My curiosity peaked the build-up of anticipation unbearable I forced myself to approach them, the risk was far nothing compared to the fascination I felt, my past life no game had ever given me such swelling of euphoria, as if the gods had granted my every wish I wouldn''t COULDN''T squander this gift in front of me. With my mind set that I just couldn''t let such an opportunity run away, I slowly ventured out towards the group, slowly as to not appear threatening, I called out to them in the gentlest voice I could muster I called out "Hello friends, can you hear me out" One of them turned to my direction... ________________________________________________________________________________ POV: Random Knight Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck how the fuck did we get ourselves into this position? It was supposed to be a simple mission, go down Grand forest Mile of Death and clean out any of the goblin dens along the way, a simple mission of course simple but one that has lead to a 99% squad fatality rate, the Mile of Death wasn''t famous because of its landmarks but its unnaturally high number of goblin clans and magical beast. If it wasn''t the goblins it was the land sharks but I''m digressing, every group ever sent to patrol this stretch of road has always met their end, that is of course excluding ours squad, nicknamed the "Drunken Teaparty Patrol" a name which was given to us for our captains choice of dress, personality and mainly the fact that he kicked a noble down a set of stairs into a manure pit... My captain and comrades have done this route over twenty times, each mission was walking a very fine line between life and death, each one of us had years of experience but nothing could have prepared us for today. Normally throughout the mission we''d encounter resistance in the form of small goblin clans, each clan consisting of 50 or so goblins and maybe a Kegmaster, the first checkpoint we reached however was empty of all but a few scrabbling goblins, continuing onwards we reached the midpoint of our patrol and we had only encountered minor fragments of what should have been clans. We''d experienced goblins all our lives, they were simple savages after all, only driven by their desire for alcohol and sex. We prepared ourselves, from our experience we knew that this type of behaviour was far from normal expecting the worse the captain ordered a full retreat, we''d get a ton of shit for abandoning our patrol but we''d rather live long enough to get that beating than become a goblins feast or worse. Before we even started retreating the defensive formation was given, our training kicked in we prepared for battle. For a few minutes nothing happened but we stood vigilante, captains instincts were always right and trusting his instincts would always lead us to salvation, even when there was a 1% chance of survival he''d lead us to safety but even in the worst odds the captain had never been this tense. At last the tense moment was broken and we were confronted with our worst fears, the darkness of the forest as if from a nightmare started to spew goblin after goblin, their savageness betraying their intent but that was nothing for what they had prepared for us. As if the gates of hell opened up the first wave started its charge towards us breaking through the foliage and straight into our blades, a few goblins died from the initial clash yet as if they had no self they would just continue to keep throwing themselves onto our blades even if we killed one two more would join in its place, those two would bring another four until we were swamped in a sea of goblins. Despite this we still held ourselves high, they are mere rats before us with that line of though I grasped the thin sliver of hope. A noise alerted us and I watched as those bastards took away our last sliver of hope, a roar of hell sounded out and I saw not 1 but 10 Kegmasters walking out the forest, for a minute my eyes glossed over, a goblin struck my shin with his mace and yet I felt numb, staring at them for what felt like hours a sharp cry snapped me back to reality. Adderson the newest recruit started panicking, "N-n-n-no I ca-ca-can''t do this! Mother please save me!" he cried out in anguish and abandoned his post, abandoning everything except his sword I watched as he leapt into the horde of goblins with a thud he got over a few before he was chest deep in the horde, his short panicked swings doing nothing. It took only a second before I saw him vanish beneath the wave, his bloody cries even drowning out the savage warcry''s of the goblins, the poor bugger was eaten alive and we couldn''t even do anything. Eventually we were drawn into a stalemate, one that we were gradually loosing, asides from Adderson we had only suffered some minor injuries yet everyone fought on, atop a mountain of corpses we all felt exhausted but if one of us stopped the entire squad would be swarmed. Despite every kill one more would join in, our captain in his usual frenzy, keeping a simple stance he effortlessly swung his signature claymore, each swing he would bring death to countless foes. A gnawing on my mind, I knew this would be the last moments of my life, I would never see my beloved wife and son again. "Yoo''re pissin'' yerself wi'' fear lads, jist kill them an'' we can gang haem awreddy!" his voice bellowing at us. The captain never really had a way for words but oddly in this moment it felt like a relief to me, I steeled myself, no we all steeled ourselves to survive this, we all had families to come back to, some were still sucking on their mothers tits, we all had one common goal and with the captains words I felt our resolve strengthen, my muscles screamed at their strain, I raggedly strained for breath but I pushed myself on. With new-found resolve we redoubled our efforts, each slash electing a blood-curdling scream, every pierce would spew blood and guts our shields knocked but stood firm in our grips, the mages releasing all sorts of hell using whatever they had, goblins heads would explode, freeze, be skinned, etc etc while the rangers were using their daggers with deadly precision. Suddenly something caught my attention, from the tree line I saw a glow!, "reinforcements inbound from the tree line!" I shouted, as if an angel from heaven was sent forth to lend divine punishment on our foes. But something was wrong, I watched as they didn''t join the fight rather staying back surveying the fight, it was then I noticed it preparing a spell; Fireball, as if in slow motion it wasn''t an angel but a devil that was sent, nobody but a devil would fire a Fireball at the goblins with a Kegmaster nearby unless they were truely evil. Slowly as if my worst fears were confirmed the Fireball was launched, its target the Kegmaster, a few others noticing the grave danger we were in and had already prepared for the blast, with seconds to spare I brought my shield to cover myself. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. *BOOOOOOOOM* The shock wave blasted through the horde throwing limbs and fire everywhere, silence swept over the once deafening battlefield even the savage goblins couldn''t utter a word, they had just witnessed a large chunk of their comrades being reduced to cinders. The message clear to the goblins, they felt the power and wrath of whoever they had angered and started to panic and flee. And as I watched a wave of relief washed over us all, the near impossible we had somehow managed to survive, the last of the goblin out of our sight we knew we were finally safe, taken by the moment I felt tears flow.

"A blessing! WE''VE RECEIVED A BLESSING!" someone called out. the message clear we look at each other as we received a divine gift, our achievements etched into the annals of history by god, not only having our deeds acknowledged by god but we had been worthy enough to receive powerful blessings, we would not go home as the losers they declared us but as blessed warriors, on par with the noble warriors who had fought with the 5 legendary hero''s. We settled down, alert we stood there either laughing or giving a joyous cheer, we just couldn''t contain ourselves, hell even that weirdo who collects mana gems is happily cheering as he goes about cutting the corpses up. Then it struck me our savoir was nearby, suddenly I see the captain freezes, a chilling as if death was tracing a finger down my spine, a feeling like none other gripped my heart, I turned around becoming instantly pale, sharp unsteady breathing took over and my comrades cheers died down replaced with dread filled breaths''. The captain had explained this to us before, his skill Danger Awareness allowed him to accurately predict dangerous situations nearby, a example he gave was when he went towards ambushes, his skill would flare up, and give him a chill, the stronger the chill the more dangerous the situation was. Captain was the only one who has this skill in our squad, without it we would have died long ago but before us lay a monster...no not a monster but worse, its mere presence was enough that it inspired terror into us. Before us was a Fire Elemental, a baby elemental yet we knew what it was, my mother, family, the church had told me what this thing before us was but my mind was blank, I barely could open my mouth let alone speak of it. Worse than the demon lord, worse than the gates of hell opening up before us was the true enemy of mankind, no, not just mankind but the enemy of all living being, it stood before us, slowly gliding its way, "Emerald Elemental" I meekly spoke its cursed name. Those two words were like daggers being struck into my soul, the name alone inspired dread, my comrades reacted but dared not move. "Hello friends, can you hear me out" Its voice bellowed deeply yet as if from royalty. I could hear the sound of fainting, the prior battle had already taken its toll on us, to be so close to living and yet it was snatched away from us so soon, the lucky ones fainted only a few of us remained standing, if this was anything else I would have praised us for remaining concious. I watched as its slowly crept over to us, the fire of its body flickered but betrayed nothing. "A-Ay? Sir Xen" my head snapped to the source of the voice, the fearless captain that I had known for years was reduced to a husky voice, his thick accent and voice reduced to a whimper, I could only praise him for having the biggest balls to speak to it. "Tell me, do you know where we are?" it asked. I felt another chill blow deeply into my soul, captain however replied ever so quickly. "We''re in th-th'' eastern part ay th'' kingdom ay Trivista oan th'' contient ay Latvian..." //translation "We''re in th-the eastern part of the kingdom of Trivista on the continent of Latvian..." For a moment it was silent, not even the forest daring to make a sound we waited with baited breath, suddenly Derrek snapped, fear striking in he let loose a scream as he dropped his shield and lifted his sword, with a mad dash he screamed he approached the elemental. within five steps a orange spear pierced through his head, copious amounts of blood sprayed over us, his body instantly going rigid, as soon as it appeared the spear vanished, the slumped body falling lifelessly on the ground and silence enveloping us as we comprehended what had just happened. "Oh I''m really sorry for that I..." its sentence cut short as a cry of our captain was heard, grabbing his signature sword and charged at it. Gathering all his strength the captain was putting everything on one hit as he lifted his claymore to strike one mighty blow, faster than I could even react his claymore swung, as if it could tear reality asunder. *CLANG* a heavy vibration resounded, I flinched as I saw the results of the swift battle, it had taken not even a second but it effortlessly stopped captains legendary blade, taken it had already done its counter attack, a second spear had embedded itself into the captains shoulder. With that the battle was decided, captain had lost, our last sliver of hope gone I knew we were all doomed, with no strength left I watched as my captain fainted, his eyes turning blank as he slumped over onto the floor. Expecting my end my knee''s felt weak, incapable of even standing I fell down, my closed my eyes I prayed in silence awaiting my end, a minute passed by then two before nervously I sneaked a peak, realising it was not the world of the dead I peaked at the elemental just staring at the captain, and then...he just started floating away. "What weird people..." It mumble, as it travelled away down the road, I wanted to give chase, do something! it was moving further away from the capital but its existence alone was already monstrous, I knew my duty and the captains courage had inspired me to try, try as I may to at least stop it for a mere moment at least. I screamed at myself to get up but my body betrayed me, the single though of confronting it prevented me from even moving a finger. The fight against the goblins was immense we felt no fear, we were prepared to die for the sake of our families; but that all changed, in the face of the reborn Elemental Xen it was as if a nightmare was released, a nightmare which every inhabitant would now share, we would no longer call his tale as a mere fairy tale. slowly with that thought the world turned black as my conciousness faded. ________________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Oh man was this a hard chapter to write, hopefully I have done it merit (just an FYI give me any head ups on what you might feel wrong) While I intend to give this story a primary focus on the MC only, I''ll have some side stories once in awhile Chapter 5) What Really Happened "Hello friends, can you hear me out" I called out to them as friendly as I could muster. I watched them turn towards my direction, all agasp and whiter than ghosts, a good few of them decided to take a nap? "A-Ay? Sir Xen" the man in the kilt called out *Ding*
Congratulations you''ve been given a name, you have been officially born into the world, have fun Mr Xen

........What? what the fuck? I could be named so easily, and by some random stranger.... god dammit I could have called myself something cool like Zebulon, Riotguard (?¡ã ?? ?¡ã) or Maxfield. but holy shit he''s Scottish! I though he was just being weird but this explains it, large forest, weird creatures, weird landscape it all makes sense! I''m in Scotland! I waved away the screens, these people look as if they''re going to faint at any minute, I need to make a good first impression otherwise they might not show me to towards civilisation. "Tell me, do you know where we are?" I asked, focusing on the guy in the skirt. "We''re in th-th'' eastern part ay th'' kingdom ay trivista oan th'' contient ay latvian..." he replied. A glint from his sword distracted me, I knew it was rude but I decide to inspect his claymore.
Wallace Sword (Claymore)
Description
A sword wielded by the hero William Wallace, his legendary quelling of the beast-man has ensured his linage have passed on his holy blade The sword was cursed to forever hold the spirit of Wallace, granting the wielder strength from Wallace himself while robbing them of their self. - Spirit weapon - Unlimited durability - Grants bonus combat prowess and 50 strength - Makes wielder talk/act/think Scottish
I couldn''t make head or tails of that description, its seems rather dark for a spirit sword by game standards it''d be pretty amazing but this isn''t a game, its kinda scary to think that someone''s soul is forcibly stuffed into a cramped space. Just as I was about to ask him a scream distracted me, one of the few knights still awake dropped his shield and started charging, shit I spooked them, perhaps if I show them I won''t harm them they''ll calm down. I launched my Absorb spear towards the charging knight, it zoomed towards him intended to stop inches from his face "CRUNCH" My spear going between his eye''s and cleanly piercing to the back, I felt an energy being sucked from his body, a moment went by, I should be freaking out I had just killed someone and yet, I don''t feel anything? His energy felt...good, almost scorching hot but...comforting, I nearly lost myself in the reveling I''m feeling, this isn''t good, why am I thinking like this? I deactivated Absorb, the warmth disappeared the spear vanishing with a thud the body fell limply to the ground, "Oh I''m really sorry for that I..." being cut short Wallace started charging with his sword in hand a scream escaping his lips, shit he''s going to kill me, I really need to diffuse this. I watched as he hoisted the claymore for a downward strike, so easy to predict I though, given ample opportunity to counter his strike, communication had broken down but maybe I could salvage this somehow. I watched as his sword started descending, my entire focus on the lip of the blade, I had only one chance to stop this, conjuring Absorb two spears shot out, putting all my concentration into one I aimed towards the lip, modifying the tip I aimed to stop the swing while the other aimed at his shoulder, I watched as they flew into action. *CLANG* sparks flew off as the blade and spear connected, my gamble paid off but I had no time to revel in the moment, my second spear also found its mark, his defence must have been top notch if it only lodged itself halfway through but it was still searing into his skin, the sweet warmth rushing in before I quickly disabled it. His eye''s glossed over as he blacked out, his legs giving way and he fell to the ground with a thud, my eyes glued to the shameful reminder of my failure, a thud drew my attention to the last guy, the poor sod must have though I''d killed his commander. I hovered over to him, maybe if I slap him a bit he''ll wake up? dismissing that idea, my lack of success ample reason I noticed the guy who had been gutting the goblins, his efforts lay bare on the floor, with a sparkle they peaked my interest, "marbles?" Traces of blood and dirt covered them but a dim blue light shined inviting me to investigate them.
Mana Core (Goblin)Quality: (Very Poor)
Description
A core of pure Mana
The handful of gems were interesting and since nobody seemed to object to me taking them I''ll just "borrow" them for now, its not as if I''m not in deep shit. with the deed done it was time for me to leave, staying would only give me more of a headache, moving away I stopped. "Well your kinda weird people...but I guess it was my fault, hopefully you can forgive me" although its not as if anyone was listening, my past self found some comfort in apologising. With that I travelled down the road. --- 20 minutes later --- Land sharks...mother of god are these things ugly mother fuckers, with the face of a Great White and body of a mole these ugly things have tried to take pot shots from me, a claw here, a bite there hell one even tried to hug me and although my spells are rather effective they seem more interested in food than preserving their own lives. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. Testing the water so to speak I found that they attack far less if I''m on the road and even less if I travel slowly, they''re rather smart buggers for what they are since they''ll attack you when you least ex... *poof* As least expected one jumped out mid monologue, announcing its arrival in front of me with a menacing growl, the constant headache from these encounters is enough, "fuck this!" I screamed at it. With that I summoned 10 spears and fire away *CRUNCH CRUNCH...* each spear pierced its body as if it were made of paper, a copious amount of blood spraying everywhere, finally my assault finished and anger sated my victim however was anything but unscathed, covered in its own brain matter, blood and more holes than Swiss cheese the Land shark limply toppled over the floor. Hopefully this sends a message to its brothers *Rumble* eh? *RUMBLE* *BOOM* The earth behind me explodes, in a shower of dirt and stone emerges a mother fucking huge alpha shark, oh crap I think I killed his wifu, I watched as it huge frame turned towards its mate, a light nudge, then another followed by a moment of deep staring...shit I feel kinda guilty. *ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAR* it screamed, tch never mind these guys are just doing my head in "fuck off!" I screamed With my "warcry" I summoned a Fireball, instead of a normal burst I let it consume more and more of my mana, its size growing larger and larger while its colour turning from a deep orange to a light orange, it kept sucking my mana greedily, with headache increasing I felt satisfied with its size and fired it off towards its body. *Fwooosh* it made when it left my hand and as if lightning it closed the gap between us in a seconds, the alpha having no time to dodge before he was hit *Boom* a bright light shot forth as if a second smaller sun had appeared.

Fireball is now level 3
I closed the notification, I knew I had an evolution but I was in the middle of nowhere and if my experience with novels has taught me anything its that your screwed if you evolve and get attacked. Annoyance settled the cause of my stress literally blew away...into pieces, quite literally almost nothing was left of the alpha, his body was reduce to blood guts and bone all over the forest and road, only his charred head and feet remained where he once stood, remembering the previous mana gems I stabbed the head a few times with my spear until *clink* my spear found its mark with it I claimed my prize.
Mana Core (Land Shark) (Large)
Satisfied with the results I carried on with my journey --- 10 more minutes later --- With no more annoyances from the Land sharks I now had time to train a bit of my skills, deciding to try train Absorb, with all 10 of my spears swinging wildly around me, if anyone saw me right now they''d be pretty freaked out.
Absorb is now level 2
YES! finally some good news, I experimentally with glee, with a quick bit of exercise I found that I could now control 3 instead of 2 spears decently, my total number increased to 12, they also travelled slightly further than before, despite a rocky start I''m going to enjoy my time playing with this. Keeping along the road it didn''t take me long until I found what I had been searching for, a lake and a village! My goal finally reached and not a minute too late, the amber sky on the far horizon, it wouldn''t be long before darkness would set. With ample time I could have a quick bath and inspect my new body, whatever my happened to my face I just hope it isn''t as ugly as those people though I was, with that I increased my pace towards the lake and then finally civilisation!
Levitation is now level 2
A minute later I reached it, sweet sweet refreshing wate....what the? I peered into the lake...this must be a joke? no no no no this can''t be possible? WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A FLOATING RUBY! Oh this must be a trick, quickly stabbing the reflection with a spear the distorted image reflected back my true body Then it clicked, no limbs? not feeling cold or warm? the weird response from people? they weren''t the weird ones I WAS! Hyperventilating my mind spun, how had I not noticed? fuck how am I even going to make this work? I can''t even talk to people without them freaking out let alone go into town...fuck this isn''t right! Standing near the water, I noticed the water started to bubble steam rising, shit I can''t even go near water without being in danger, do I need to worry about the rain? My mind wandered, shit what should my novel training had only taken me so far...what do I even eat and drink? do I even need to? Deep in though I suddenly felt a pressure as if the world was crumbling around me Is this...killing intent?
Acquired Level 1 Danger sense
________________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Yo, took awhile but finally finished a busy week Now anyone who might go "Hey wait, that''s silly why did he react like that", its pretty simple, he''s been in this world for around 3 hours, he''s disorganised, distracted and quite frankly having your head separated from your body is pretty traumatic, hence adding to the fact he can''t verify anything until now lead up to this scene oh and for those confused, Spear = Absorb spear Chapter 6) The Paladin A cold pressure was constricting around me, every fibre of my body on edge telling me that if I made a move I would be immediately struck down. The pressure not relenting I heard the clearing of a throat from behind me. "Hello Xen" *ptui* spitting as he said my name, I would have been offended had I not been in such a situation. "I had expected you to be more...fearsome but seeing you in person has kinda ruined that expectation, if not for my divine lord Natas (May his divine spirit guide us) and his heavenly angels guidance you would have been a more prominent threat" a moment of pause halts his speech, *Clang* the sound of two pieces of metal being slammed together. "But in the name of the heavenly divine being I shall destroy you for what you are hell-spawn, you shall not bring another age of fire!" his voice growing more fierce with every word. Fuck, I''m really really fucked right now, there''s nothing worse than being at the mercy of a religious fanatic, gathering the courage to turn around my worst fears were confirmed, in what I could only describe as a paladin. A tall white man stood proud, shining white armour matched by his tower shield and mace, standing in confidence, as if a mist a constant golden aura of light shone from him giving him a holy appearance. What worst was that he wasn''t alone, a ragtag of 10 or so men fitted with leather armour and a mix of weapons stood behind him, as if in prayer they knelt at him, a mix of emotions ranged between them betraying their lack of experience. "How did you sneak up on me?" I called out trying to buy some time. "Oh, so you''ve not retained your memories, I see? good, this will make things so much easier; Now, Prepare yourself evil!" with that he gave a signal, his henchmen as if on cue sprinted into a mad dash towards me. The pressure relenting I found myself able to breath again, with enough distance between us it gave me enough time to prepare for the first assault, the fastest of the group came running ahead, raised sword sword that was ready to slash, with a quick jab from my spear it pierced his neck, his sword falling to the side while clenching his neck, soon falling to the floor. His buddy took the opportunity to slash at me, with a glancing blow I felt a sting of pain, at the same time he gave off a yowl of pain, his sword burned brightly steam coming from his hand, "You idiot he''s got a fire shield use the water charm to protect yourself!" the paladin shouted. *Fwoosh* before he could react I sprayed him in fire his cries of agony ensuring he won''t get back up again, while his buddies circled around me, a misty haze surrounding their shivering weapons, graining in confidence it was a shame that they didn''t know about my little trick. With a cry their assault began, launching themselves at me, they all attempted to attack in a bid to get around my defence, swords, maces, even a pole-arm all aimed at me but they were all for naught, before they could even step into range I had released my all my Absorb spears, aimed in all direction a chorus of stabs, gargling and cries of pain resounded, blood spurting in every direction, I didn''t stop with just one stab either, I didn''t give my spears a second of rest before they repeated their action, more and more blood spewed forth as the survivors got caught in the merciless assault. Within seconds they were all dead, blood stained the once bare ground, the once loud group reduced to only 4 but something was off...shit. With a blinding light that radiated from the paladin, he had stood there chanting. "Oh divine lord, I ask you for your guidance, let those who seek to harm your creation be judged and those seek to sour your name be struck down, grant me, your lowly servant lend my blade so that you can strike down your divine judgement!" His voice echo''d powerfully, his once stone cold face released a grin, a shiver down my spine I knew I was royally screwed. With elegance he lifting his mace into the air "Divine Punishment!" *ZEEEEEE* screamed from his mace. As if the gates of hell opened gravity increased dramatically, struggling to even stay afloat the ground shook around me, in horror I watched as the once cloudy amber sky turned brightly yellow as something of pure light came hurdling from the heavens. Its target me, the pressure it exerted as it drew closer was unbearable, with no time to dodge I took the full brunt of the attack. Searing pain coupled with the infamous Dinging was all I had time to register. A moment was all it took, a quick blink and the once blinding light was all but gone, replaced with nothingness "...." I was back in the darkness, alone again... -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- "Am I dead...?" In the empty void not even my voice echo''d, forever expansive yet devoid of anything and anyone. "Ha ha ha ha ha, foolish soul, do you not understand the body your inhabiting..." caught off-guard I choked down a scream, its overwhelmingly deep voice sounded out piercing me to my core. Suddenly two orbs of fire shone in the void, as if eyes staring into me, his gaze alone could have struck me down I paled at the though of what it wanted from me. "Our body has lots of potential, all you have to do is give it a little, juice, watch little soul I wouldn''t want to make this a routine" The void clearing up, instinctively I knew I only had a sliver of HP left...suddenly without warning my body started aching, my body unresponsive something started to happen. Before the paladin could even lower his weapon I felt mana welling up into my body, without even a warning my body launched multiple spears into the remaining men, striking deeply into their chest their face twisted with agonized screams. As if on cue the warmth came rushing in and in turn the victims started convulsing, their once warm features quickly turning pale, their body drying up until only what I could describe as instant mummification. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. The paladin looked on with horror "Monster! nobody can withstand the lords judgement!" his once calm face twisted in shock and anger as he lift his weapon again. "Divine Punishment!" the paladin once again launching his attack. Before he could finish his sentence I felt the shift of mana inside my body, twisting and turning as if a violent sea, suddenly changing into a hurricane.
Elemental Fire Hydra Form Unlocked
Forced Transformation into Elemental Fire Hydra Form
A thick blast of smoke arose from my body, but I could clearly see what was happening, my instantly vision elevated, a suddenly a feeling of indescribable power started coursing through my uncontrollable body and with it the once vacant feeling of limbs was back Instinctively as if this was natural to me I knew exactly what I looked like, 16 metre long, as wide as a car and taller than a house I completely dwarfed the paladin, my body covered in ruby red scales, with four legs and tail like a lizard. My long neck being half as long as my body lead to my head, resembling that of a dragon, two twisted horns and ruby red eyes, the most fearsome feature being my fearsome jaws, with its triple set of razor sharp teeth. I felt the paladins attack landing directly on me, the once fearsome destruction it brought was rendered useless on my scales, watching as the paladin nervously cover himself with his tower shield, preparing for an assault, unsure of whether his attack was successful or not. "Now watch, this is how you really fight" the mysterious controller giving me no choice as I felt the surge of power being redirected to my new mouth, a huge flame swelled deeply inside of my body, its intensity escaping my jaw as small geyser''s of flame. Suddenly a blast of wind fanned the mist away revealing the paladins worst fear, his face instantly turning white as he saw the monster before him "Divine lord protect me" the paladin incapable of action abandoned everything except his shield with a mighty thud he buried it one quarter into the ground, sloping it to defect in an attempt to negate our attack. Suddenly with a great huff we began our assault, in a move of overwhelming power the fire inside blasted forth like a laser beam of condensed fire *FeeeeWOOOOOOO...SH* Aimed at the paladin the beam of condensed fire blasted at him, directly hitting him it continuing unabated into the beyond flying off into the distance, so blindingly bright that the once amber sky turned back into daylight and without mercy continued its onslaught for 10 seconds. The attack dying off my body felt heavy, devoid of strength it weakly stood, for a moment everything was silent. "Listen well little soul this world isn''t as it seems, you won''t last long in this world so get stronger, it won''t take long for them to find you..." As if on cue my body started glowing of red embers, chunks of flesh disappearing into nothing but ash then nothing , my body reverting back into my ruby body, my vision slowly reverted back to how it once was my control gradually returning, I stood there marvelling in both shock and awe at the scene that was before me. Despite the paladins greatest efforts he was no more, not even a trace of him was left along with everything else in the beams path, molten rock and dirt mark the path of destruction as does the endless smoke of the forest, a path of clear destruction making its way towards the centre of town Despite everything that had happened I had yet to feel an ounce of disgust for my actions, my body felt cold and devoid of feeling, what type of monster am I? I had mercilessly killed to defend myself and yet being once human I hardly felt anything. *Ding*

Warning Evolution tier has been reached forcing evolution
___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: What a long chapter, Depending on the poll results it might be a wee while before we get to the actual evolution. I''ll be frank, I had originally planned to make it evolutional changes to the character in big increments but I somewhat find it flawed with this type of character design, I mean I could make it a big change such as make him into a golem or something but I also want to retain a somewhat "realistic" approach to design (i.e. Golems are slow). on the one hand my original idea was to make it so each evolution tier would give him a transformation, each evolution granting him alternative forms I.e (Golem, Wolf, etc) but his normal form changes gradually. or I could in a way write a traditional evolution in which the character literally goes from one monster to another, or in this case core < elemental monster. in both evolutions he''ll gain the same skills, etc, the only difference would be that it''ll change a few ways the character interacts in combat. Evolve vote So the big moment, the first steps into evolution, plot twist, you the viewer decide how the story progresses, of course choosing Mantis would mean fights will be more inclined towards melee (but not devoid of magic), Golem would be creative, while hydra and dragon are roughly the same in terms of fights (just their traits would be different) Overall no human evolution at all, zilch, nada, my opinion that "why have a non-human character when you instantly revert back into it" IF you have a suggestion then make it known, if I like the premise then i''ll add it to the choices to quote highlander "There can be only one!"

Exhausted and aching all over my weary eyes reading slow but steadily, I should be happy, I''ve always wanted this to happen and yet the only strength I could muster was that of reading word for word the previous fight having completely drained, I couldn''t rush yet I didn''t have the luxury of time. "Wait this wasn''t a part of the deal! I''m already freaky! and why did you make it more pai...ARRRAGGGHHHHH" Intense pain seared through my body, my once clear ruby body began bubbling inside, as if a bottle of acid was shaken, with each passing second the bubbling grew in intensity grew, until as if a switch was flipped it all suddenly stopped. The excruciating pain vacant for all but a few seconds, suddenly a drop fell from my core, followed by another, until the liquid substance was gushing out, the liquid acting as if it was raw nerves.

The goo slowing down the features start to refine slightly until the world get darker and darker until the world went fully black, a new sensation welled up in me, the surge of power, unquenchable power, whispering to me "Go on, let your wrath be felt, you owe nothing, let the world pay for its sins to you" and for a moment, I nearly gave in, the sweetness so satisfying yet left me craving for more. *Crack* my train of thought distracted, I desperately searched for the source before it repeated again, gradually getting more frequent and louder as if calling me out from the darkness, I felt my dark prison growing weaker, the phantom limbs I had once felt now material I found myself able to move slightly, with every shiver in my body the cracks grew even louder and more frequent. Getting hyped from this slow release I tensed my muscles, my new legs welling in power and with it I jumped *THUD* *CRACK* my body slamming back down, my prison shattering into tiny pieces of glass. Vision returning I found myself marvelling at my strange new body, as if from a fairy tale my body was what I could only describe as a walking piece of art. My body a glorious 2 meters tall, 2 meters long and meter wide covered in many hundreds of tiny ruby scales, head adorned with a crown of ruby pillars were complimented only by my fire red eyes, my snout with three rows of razor sharp fanged teeth. My feet as if adorned with jewellery had fiercely sharp claws, each claw 3 inches long and slender, a deeper shade of red than my normal scales. On my behind was one of the many new addition presented itself, a tail, half my body in length my new tail was smooth until the very end, adorned on the end was a small crystal tip, dangerously sharp even a casual jab from it could pierced a rock effortlessly. As if like a cape two thick poles attached to a set of wings which was folded over my back, smooth and transparent the layer of pinkish wings, despite having no experience they felt as if they were a natural part of my body, as if I had them for many years. excitedly Keen to test my new wings I flapped them over and over as hard as I could, but no matter how much I struggled with each flap only gave small amounts of lift, giving up for now I had plenty of time to practice later on. Turning my attention to the blue screens I scrolled through each one.

//since he now has a proper body hence the change //for those confused (number) is the final value after stats //stats are already invested in this table, why remodel it twice again :( Marvelling at my new abilities I decided to invest my points into magic, investing a further 30 points into Intelligence and Wisdom I was left with 40 points to spare, thus with my remaining points I put the rest into Endurance. Despite everything that had happened today I had yet to feel truly exhausted, my body not constrained to fatigue and having learnt my lesson I steadied myself to test my new abilities. Starting with a simple breath attack I felt the rush of mana travel up my neck with a deep breath I fired my breath at my target. Aiming at a stump sticking out of the lake, watching as my breath attack consumed the log in a sea of flames I continued firing until a thick mist of steam arose from the lake, the once moss covered log now charcoal a thick smile was plastered on my snout, a deep sense of satisfaction at my new-found powers. With that I continued to practice with my new body. ___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Now your probably thinking, riot! you bloody dun goofed up! dragon''s won!, yes they did but only with a 5% margin, hardly a landslide. sooo... to do justice for both sides I decide to split the winnings, dragons get the priority while hydra''s get little. To those whom voted golem and fire mantis, I''m sorry your choice didn''t get chosen, I was rooting for them as well. and to those whom gave some interesting suggestions while it was just unfortunate that it just wasn''t what I felt suitable towards the story but I really do appreciate the feedback so far. So shameless plug Mr Mantis my second fiction novel, check it out It''s a slight twist on the whole dragged into a new world. Chapter 8) At the Worlds End After an arduous hour of training I had already made some favourable results, choosing to train the less earth shattering spells for now I found my training speed to a likeable level.
Absorb is now level 7 Fireball is now level 8 Flame Spray is now level 7 Mana Manipulation is now level 9 Omit Chant is now level 6
With my new body I found that magic was slightly different to how it used to be, although I could launch magic from any source of my body I found the strongest concentration of mana was from my ruby crown, anywhere but my crown had a slower activation time and weaker effect. With a little experimentation I found that I could enhance my body with mana but unfortunately I couldn''t evoke a response from the blue screen, I assume it must be because it needs actual combat testing before it works. Although the first 20 minutes training was slow everything changed when Mana manipulation hit level 5.
Passive (Dual Casting)
Level5(35%)
Description
Casting magic is simply child''s play, casting two spells at the same time...not so much. - The user can split focus and cast two separate spells at the same time - split casting increases time (50%) and Mana cost (50%) on both spells being cast - Can combine two (Advanced) spells to form a stronger spells
Although surprised it was a welcome change, with the addition of Dual Casting my training sky-rocketed, no longer limited to just the one spell I could easily train multiple spells at the same time, with that I had also managed to make a brand new spell.
Spell (Flame Beam)
Level2(76%)
Description
A combination of Fireball and Flame spray releases a beam of concentrated fire at the target - Deals flame damage - Base stats, Speed (10mph), Intensity (700¡ãC), Range (3 meter), Mana cost (500) - Intensity is (50¡ãC) for every (500) Mana
Finally satisfied in my progress I decided to move on, I had to find a base in which I could safely hide away in if things get too hot, I had already ran into two life or death situations and I wasn''t going to look for number three. However before setting off I had to check on the village, despite the hostility I had faced so far it would be incredibly dangerous to run off into uncharted territory, especially with crazy paladins running around. Setting off on what should have been a five minute walk to town instead took twenty minutes, my new body incredibly foreign I had to fight every step just to prevent myself from falling over, by the time I had reached the gates I had just only managed to grasp the art of swaying a tail without overcompensating while walking. The once small town transforming into a walled off city, glowing red, smoke and embers raising from within was all that greeted me the town eerily quiet with not even a sounds of alarm I casually walked in. Entering through the moss covered stone archway, I enter into the town, eerily vacant, not even a single person was in sight and yet destruction could be seen everywhere. The attack that was unleashed onto the paladin had cut cleanly through the town, sparing nothing in its path even the nearby stone buildings that had avoided the blast were deeply melted, the furthest buildings having been spared the most damage were alight in a crimson fire. Exploring the town my heart sunk, the remains of people reduced to only charred stains on the stone floor was an all too familiar sights in this town, those whom had been in their houses having also been unspared, all but reduced to that of charcoal Suddenly I could hear a distant call, one which was gradually growing closer, after a minute I could hear the call again this time much louder. "Honey? Jacob where are you? I swear you''re always leaving me behind when I''m not looking, we have to visit my mum tomorrow so we need to be up bright and early" From one of the side street a barefooted women stepped out, hands and feet burnt charcoal with tattered clothes and a stumble of a walk she finally walked over where I was observing her, with dead glaze in her eyes she stared at me for a moment. "Excuses me sir I''ve lost my husband and child somewhere, I don''t suppose you have seen them anywhere, my husbands the local paladin you should know him since he''s always wearing that white armour when he''s helping the orphanage out, he went out again during the day but hasn''t returned, I went out to find him but that''s when Jacob went running off somewhere as well, you sure you haven''t seen them?" Crap I can''t tell her that I incinerated her husband "N-No I haven''t sorry" I responded, her dead gaze turning back to her surroundings before she continued her journey. Her calls gradually fading into the distance I let out a sigh and continued to look around. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. After half an hour of searching I had finally managed to find a clue, having found him in a pit of murky water the man was anything but sane. "The lord has saved me, the lord has saved me, the lord has saved me, the lord has saved me...." he repeated over and over and over again, as if he were chanting a spell. "Excuse me sir" I called to him and yet his rambles continued, "Excuse me!" I said more sternly, growing annoyed I decided to try something out, "EXCUSE ME!" directing some killing intent at the same time the man finally stopped. Turning his direction to me revealing seared eyes as if waiting for me to continue. "Do you know of any deep caves around here" I asked. "The trolls who live in the valley of friendship in the east are known to share their cave with anyone who ask, the adventure guild put a notice to tell people to stay away from them lest we ruin their tea-party" with that he paused as if waiting for a reply "How do I find them" I asked. "Exit the big arch of the town and follow the road towards the lake, from there carry into the forest till until you encounter the troll hill" with that he returned back to his chanting. Although he''d clearly gone off his rocker it wouldn''t hurt to check this den out, it was better than nothing. Satisfied I left the burning village towards the troll''s base, the walk back to the lake uneventful I had plenty of time to practice walking and running. The journey uneventful I eventually stumbled upon the location of what the man had called a "cave", was actually a huge dark hole in the ground, slanted enough to walk up and down a pile of bones littered around the entrance, a welcoming sight for anyone. Deciding to risk it I ventured inside, trading the thick noisy forest for a dark smelly cave the cave lit up with a light tinge from my body, the sound of a grizzly bear put in a blender roared throughout the cave. With slow steps I finally reached the source of the sound, there lying in a pile was a group of 5 trolls or what I could assume to be the trolls that is, they reminded me of the goblins, except they were mother fucking huge with tusks, disproportionate hands but without the decency of a lion cloth.

Hunched up so closely it gave me ample room to try out my poison breath, closing the distance between me and the sleeping trolls, with a satisfied grin I unleashed my poisonous cloud breath upon them, spending triple the cost I ensured that there was plenty to spread around.
Dragon''s Vapour Breath is now level 2
The thick mist spreading around the cave the mist rushing in to fill everything in its toxic green mist before it submerged the trolls. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa...." as soon as the mist covered them they let off their painful screams, the cave shuddered from their agony, all of them quickly jumping up except one, their numbers having already been reduced. With continuous wails their bloodshot eyes found the source of the mist but it was too late, in a gruesome manner the corrosiveness increasing with every second their bodies started to melt away, their skin bubbling as their bodies fought against the mist. In a futile effort the largest of them tried in a futile effort to rush at me, a few steps *CRACK* a wail escaping him has his leg eaten away at by the mist no longer could support him, his foot snapping under his own weight. Within a minute the wailing finally ceased and I all but exhausted of mana released the mist, a further few minutes go by until the cave is finally clear, revealing the gooey remains of the trolls.

The greatest shock was that I had been unable to stop myself from destroying the village, innocent people whom had no part in my fight yet their lives ended when my body was taken over, I didn''t even fight to try to stop whoever it was that had taken control. Was the lack of guilt because of my new body? could it be that because I''m no longer a human that I don''t feel anything for other humans? For an hour I sat there, deep in thought trying to come to terms with everything that had happened today..... -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile somewhere else POV = ??? *Sound of heavy breathing* Dammit they''re still following me, those lowly peasants can''t take a hint Conjuring up another trap for the wastes of skins I continue running as fast as my feet could take me My muscles screaming at me to stop and lungs feeling as if they''re about to explode I soldier on regardless, my goal nearly reached. My object was something I had felt a few hours ago, indescribable was its power of death, one would have though it was nearby yet it extended all the way out of the forest! This could only be the legendary item I had been searching for, nothing could emit such a level. *Screaming of pained humans* Unfortunately my departure alerted a nearby troop lead by a paladin which unfortunately for me made me target number one on their agenda. With little time to revel from my successful trap I reach the cave, the source of the immeasurable death energy I felt was deep within. With the last ounces of strength I rushed in past the open maws of the cave, the miasma of death coming from inside was enough to give even me a cold sweat. With a red glow the deepest part of the cave was illuminated meaninglessly, as if the gates of hell were welcoming me yet I had no time to even consider stopping for a moment. My sluggish rush finally ended I tripped at the bottom of the cave, the source....what the fuck is that thing! "Hello little man" Its deep voice echo''d throughout the cave...."ACK!" I screamed as I fainted -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- POV = Xen (MC) Deep in through I''d considered everything that had happened, despite everything I could do there would be no way in which I could consult with the humans without us fighting each other, thus for now I''d avoid any human contact if possible. However should they attack me I won''t spare them. *Sound of heavy footsteps echoing through the cave* My attention draw to the source, a man entered the chamber I was sitting in. *THUD* as he fell over, face on the floor he quickly looked up to me, twisting in pain Finding it slightly humerus I scoffed at him silently "Hello little man" I called out imagining him freaking out at the sight of me "ACK!" he screams as he faints where he had fallen....maybe I''m a little more terrifying than I first thought. *footsteps and armour echo''d through the cave* Suddenly the sound of more people entered my cave. "Get into formation, the necromancer won''t have anywhere to run now that we got him cornered!" A voice screamed as he entered the cave. The numerous footsteps gradually drawing clear until they come into sight. "Holy sweet mother of god what has he done!" one of them called out "He''s summoned a dragon!" another frantically called out. "That''s no dragon It looks like a giant lizard with wings attached!"....that''s....that''s just plain rude. The initial shock wearing off quickly the group of 40 soldiers formed a wall of shields, blocking off the only entrance, feeling kind enough I''ll give them a warning. "little humans'' don''t test your luck, leave here and I''ll le...." *Plink* as an arrow bounced off my neck "Shit sorry guys I forgot to get my arrows enhanced again" one of them called out. "ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!" *FWOOOOOOOSH* As I unleashed a jet of dragon''s fire upon the group of rude soldiers. *screams of burning soldiers* Like marshmallows the group of soldiers turn black and crispy with a quick dosing of fire but something seemed amiss. As the fire died down a small pyramid shape emerged, the insides revealing the figures of two people.

"Good job on the mana shield Jeffrey" the man in gaudy shining armour said "My names Henry...." the meek looking man replied, with a shuffle of his staff the fire around them disappeared instantly. "Now cover me mage as I purge this beast from the world, the death energy it''s emitting is sickening, that dam bastard Legna must have summoned it to taunt me! ME! the great paladin leader of the 2 paladin order being mocked this much by a little bitch like him!" "Once we drag him back to town we''ll make sure to make him suffer for disgracing the divine lord!" With that the two of them slowly marched up to me, the paladin with his tower shield in one hand and spear in the other. Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. The rush of the battle getting to me I decided to test my new body, Infusing mana all over my body with a great thrust from my legs I leap towards the gaudy looking paladin, leaping with all my might I stretched out my clawed paw towards the paladin *CLANG* My claws sinking into the tower shield as if butter, containing unabided my paw continued through the shield, the meat behind the shield howling in pain until he was flung away by the force of the blow, flung far enough that he travelled outside of the cave, a thud confirming his landing outside.

Dismissing the screen I pulled my bloodied claw back, the mage with a look of horror he finished his spell *boom* as the fireball hit the side of my face. Doing the opposite of what of he had hoped a smile was plastered over my snout, with a twist of my body my tail swung towards his sides with great force slamming him into the cold walls of the cave *SPLAT* as his body deformed from the collusion. The battle over in seconds I turn my attention back towards the person who had first entered. Interested in this weird person I pick him up as best I can and put him in one of the corners, away from where I can keep an eye on him. Looking at him more closely he doesn''t look too bad, maybe a little short, bald and a few scars here and there but he seems pretty regular. With my curiosity sated I decided to start training again --3 hours later--

___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Took awhile to release, I was hoping to get this out sooner but life didn''t want me :*( I too have nearly killed a man with my breath, since then I''ve changed my toothpaste. Chapter 10) An Unconventional friendship Sweet merciful gods is training tedious, no amount of manga and light novel could ever possibly prepare me for this amount of boredom! Despite all my efforts I have only managed to max out passives spells, all my spells (Fireball, etc) are stuck at 50%, no matter how many times I double, triple casted them, they just wont budge. Although slight setback the upgrades to my passive''s is a welcome change. Chantless is a god send since now I no longer need to scream whatever I want to cast, just like shaping the magic I just need to think and it happens although I nearly twice blown up the cave by accidentally thinking of dragon''s breath... Tri-Casting is another great addition, although limited just like dual casting It has given my training another drastic boost, although I''m still at an impasse when it comes to combining new spells. And saving the best for last Mana Bending, asides from cutting mana costs by 50% it has given my already insane fire-power a titan of an upgrade by giving me both a decrease in casting time as well as giving me a chance to double cast. Interestingly the way it works is that when triggered its default is to empower the spell that was just cast, thus a Fireball with 500 mana invested will infact double itself however through meticulous amounts of concentration and timing I can redirect it so that instead of empowering it instead fires another version of itself, unfortunately I need a lot more practice before I can actually use this properly, let alone in a fight. Despite my meticulous amount of training I haven''t yet to feel exhausted, margarines still occur when I''ve used quite a lot of mana but I have a grasp of when I''m nearing empty. My long training session I invest the 5 levels I got from my earlier fight into Agility the total 165, with this I feel myself becoming more nimble, my large body feeling almost as light a feather. *SNORE* The sound of snoring bring my attention back to my strange guest, my monotonous training having made me forget all about him, despite the loud bangs and blasts he''s still sleeping like a baby. Deciding he''s rested enough I go over to his stone bed, looking him over once more the finer details paint a rather boorish picture, rather small for an adult, his plain face adorned with a bowl cut dark brown hair with a dark ragged cloak and robe as clothing although relatively clean. *SNORE, COUGH COUGH SNORE* ....I feel dirty, I might have been wrong about my initial assessment on him being clean, looking at him more closely he looks more like a overgrown child than an adult... Deciding he''s slept long enough I decide to wake him up, with a claw I carefully prick him in his elbow . *SNO...UGh* Persistent bastard as mutter as I prick a little harder. *SN..ARGH!* Rocketing onto his feet while vigorously rubbing his elbow, a hundred curses uttered from under his breath, I feel slightly amused at the scene before me. "God dammit that really hurt you fucking shitty looking stupid lizard, Why the fuck did you even do that do you even know how much this fucking hurts maybe if...." He screams at me, his rant continuing as he unloads more foul language at me. Growing tired of his tirade I decide to cut his speech short. "Look kid I''m not exactly having the best day so could you keep the screaming down a little please..." I called out to him to calm him down, seemingly working for all but two seconds. "Kid? KID! I AIN''T NO MOTHER FUCKING KID YOU STUPID SHITTY LOOKING RETARDED LIZARD FREAK *Beep Beep beep beep beep beep beep beeeeeeeeep*!" His voice squeaking as he violently screams at me, face darkest shade of red possible and more, he approaches me and kicks my shin, hardly feeling anything as I watch as he''s hobbles away. "DON''T YOU EVEN REALISE I''M A FUCKING GNOMAN (gnome / human) AND I''M 24 FUCKING YEARS OLD!...." A few minutes later and a lifetime of foul language and he''s finally cooled down...well no longer shouting at least. "So why are you here anyway!" I shout, as he continues ranting on how stupid and ugly I am. "WHY! BECAUSE THERE''S A GRIMOIRE AROUND HERE AND I NEED IT! THAT FUCKING PALADIN HAS BEEN ON MY TAIL ALL YEAR!" he screams "Woah woah woah, firstly what Grimoire and secondly I already killed the paladin" I scream at him before he can get another word in. "What you don''t even know what a Grimoire is? are you that fucking dense! Its....you killed a paladin?" his voice going meek as he said that. *Cold wind blows past* Silence finally returns to the cave for a few seconds, feel more unsettled now that the Gnoman is no longer screaming "You...your lying aren''t you! you wouldn''t be that stupid!" he screams as he points his finger at me. "No really, I''m not lying, hell I''ve killed two paladins today" Once again the silence returns, the strange Gnoman slowly sits down on the hard floor, using his hands to cover his face as he lets out a long groan. "Don''t you even realise what you''ve done? You''ve doomed me and yourself!" His muffled voice leaking between the gaps of fingers, I feel a cold sweat form. "Wha? its not like I can''t defend myself plus I''m a Hy-Hydragon I''ve got enough fire-power to defend myself against an army or two" I speak out with false bravado, this guy has me on edge just by him no longer cursing me. "You fucking fool...an army is nothing compared to the Hisnap''s Inquisition..." His voice trailing off as he pulls his hands away from his face. "Hisnap''s Inquisition?" I didn''t expect there to be something like that around here?, "surely religious fanatics aren''t going to waste so much effort on two meagre paladins are they?" I ask meekly. "Clearly you''re lacking between the ear''s if you have no clue as to what it is, nobody expects the Inquisition but the death of just one paladin is enough to send out two Black Scripture Priest, but no... you had to kill the two weakest paladins in the whole continent just because they got in your way!" "Black Scripture? WEAKEST?! I had so much trouble just fighting of the first guy...fuck! just how strong are these people?!" I scream at him "Strong? That''s an understatement you idiot, they''re monsters who can literally part oceans just for fun but they''re love for torture is far scarier than their power" His word like a cold shower, shattering what pride I had moments before like a twig. "How long until they get here?" I ask, Slowly patting myself on the back for investing in agility. "It doesn''t take them long either, It usually take a good few hours before they get informed and another few hours before they set off....how long ago did you kill the paladin?" his voice breaking as he asked. "Erm... 3 hours ago....but the that was the second one but I killed the first paladin at least 5 or so hours ago..." "So...so...I''ve only got an hour before they arrive....and they know where I am because of a stupid beacon like you!" Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more."Beacon? I''m hardly doing anything" I asked "How do you think I found you! you release so much killing intent that I can literally sense you from outside the forest! No doubt those more in tune with magic can sense you even further!" For a moment I was stumped until it hit me....fuck...I had that dam Lord of True Death title equipped all this time, struggling the menu for a few seconds I unequipped it, watching as his face lightened up by small fraction. "Oh so you found your off switch eh...well its not gonna fucking help us when they blast us...maybe if I run into Lakespear I can hide long enough to escape" he says as he starts walking with a slight hobble towards the cave exit "Lakespear? is... is that a town next to a large lake nearby by any chance...." I called out to him Stopping just at the corridor of the cave "Yes surely such an intelligent beast such as yourself has heard of it, despite its ugliness its the only place I''ll be able to blend in long enough to make an escape" "Oh...eh you might have *cough* trouble blending in" I said meekly "Oh and pray tell you haven''t blown it up have you, not even you would be stupid enough to attack a town would you....would you...shit you have haven''t you..." A embarrassed smile on my snout, as if I had cracked a bad pun "well...its not entirely destroyed....just half of its missing and the other half is on fire...." "Oh great, the might Hydragon has once again proven me wrong again" he said sarcastically "pray tell what is your name so I can remember to avoid you" "My name''s Xen" I say as I roll my eyes. "Oh what, your mum loved lame fairy tales eh? you can call me Legna, Legna the Necromancer" he says smugly. "Necromancer? Aren''t you...you know a race of nature people or something?" I said while inspecting him.

"Fuck nature, all that wish-washy bullshit does my head in, it doesn''t help that I''m half gnome I can only use Nature spells because of it, and before you ask why I can use Necromancy its because I''m half human...plus a few blood sacrifices helps" Feeling rather sorry for the gnoman...nope not sorry I feel more pitiful for the little guy I decided to offer him a little compensation for dragging him into this. "Well I''m going to get the fuck out of here before they come, you can join me if you want or just die in a grass bog...up you you really" I asked him. "Eh...I know my better judgement is screaming at me to avoid going with an idiot like you and I know that I''ll regret it immensely but I also rather not meet my death so soon, I guess I''ll go with you but no funny business or I''ll curse you" a nervous chuckle escapes me, he won''t curse me for real will he? right? With that he runs up to my behind, a tugging on my tail indicating him up onto my back before settling behind my neck, his small frame hangs tightly onto my neck. With him in position I run outside, the rising sun on the horizon and not a cloud in sight I sigh in relief, unfurling my wings I once again flag my wings, this time the added agility I feel a change in the way my wings are flapping, the heavy flaps making my lighter until eventually I''m hovering above ground, steady flaps maintaining my position. "Its working I''m finally flying!" I shout out in joy

"Hey that''s goooo....wait this is your first time....let me oooooffffffff!" giving him no time for regret, with all my might I propel my body forward, taking off towards the distant clear blue skies. The large clearing giving me ample room to clear the tree-line as I manage to shoot-off into the sky, the vast forest becoming smaller and smaller as I go further into the sky. "HOLY FUCK THIS IS SO FUN! SUCK ON THIS BIRDS!" I Scream out, my passenger yelling profanity despite the blasting winds best attempts to silence him. Despite a rocky start I''ve started to get the basic''s of flying down as I settle into a steady rhythm, spotting the distance white mountain ranges nearby I decide to make them our target for now. The few peaceful minutes of flight are suddenly interrupted as I feel a mighty pressure from behind, instinctively I could tell that it was a insanely large magic source was hurtling towards us, a cold sweat as I instinctively braced myself. *BANG* A blaring pain erupting from my wing as a blast of magic hit my right wing stump, rending it from my body violently, the absence of one of my wings causes my remaining wing to cause us to spiral into a fall towards the ground, impossible to even keep airborne I can only steer and slow our descent slightly. Screaming in unison as we plummet I somehow manage to steer us towards the white hilltops of a nearby tall mountain, my remaining wing flaring from the painful decent steer us towards it, each second bringing us closer and closer towards the hilltop. *CRASH...CRUNCH...* Pain coursing through my entire body as my body collides with the cold hard ground, I feel my body harshly fling itself multiple times as it comes to an abrupt stop.
Pain Suppression is now level 3
"Oww..." I whined out as my world turns black ___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Man was this exciting, a new character and our first flight... maybe soon he''ll have his own group of super friends :o Happy April *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* Awakening to a soft comfy bed, my body felt as if it''d be through a blender, twice... the sound of machines and beeping in the background waking me fully. *Groan* "Where am I?" my voice croaking, as if saw dust was trapped in my lungs. A women in white who was nearby having heard my call, scrambled over towards me checking my pulse and some other things. "Doctor he''s awake!" she called out *BANG* the door flies open as a short man and bowl cut hair, somewhat strangely familiar. "How are you lance?" "Who are you? where am I?...." I called out painfully. "Your family has been informed of your awakening Mr Lance, you''ve been in a coma since an unfortunate accident" He said calmly. "How long was I in this coma?" my question making him twitch slightly. "Don''t worry about that, it wasn''t too long your family said they were only half an hour away" This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. *beep beep beep* the sound of a heart monitor increasing. "Doctor...how long have I been in this coma" I called out in a somewhat stern voice. "*Sigh* You''ve been in a coma for six and a half years" his voice holding a calm harshness to it. *beep beep beep* Silence filling the somewhat quiet room I could hardly even gasp at the surprising revelation, drained of what little strength I had darkness once again filled the void. "Nurse mark down on Mr lances records as having woken up in the year 2022 April 1st" And thus that wonderfully weird dream I had came to an end... THE END....until April 2nd. ___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: I might be a little too cruel for my own good FYI I''m not really ending the story Chapter 11) Nothing beats snowballs

User has suffered Grievous wounds, Health reduced by 50%, movement speed reduced by 50%
The sudden darkness lifting the sound of harsh wind blowing woke me up *ugh* with pained gasps I lie there panting, pain surging throughout my body with stifled movement I slowly turn over, checking my stats I see my HP is at 5760 / 9000 reduced by the debuffs even my Intensity was lower than 300¡ãC. With weak knee''s I try standing up, the sudden shifting of my body revealing a very absent front leg, blood covered and oozing the torn flesh and bone protruding I notice the puddle of bubbling blood, the impact having torn my entire knee off, small constant jolts of pain coursing through my entire leg. Unable to move I decided to inspect the damage to my body. Missing wing, front left knee in a nearby tree, cracked scales all over, gouges and deep scratches all along my left shoulder and sides....fun. My natural warmth having melted into the snow forming some cover from the harsh wind and snow. *Groan* The sound coming from nearby, I spot a small black figure in the snow nearby, almost familiar....oh fuck...its Legna...he''s totally going to kill me now. *Gulp* as I braced myself I felt the coldness of death itself drip down my back, with pained shuffling I crawl over to Legna "*mHMmmmmhmmm*" I hear coming from his prone figure, gradually getting more audible as I inch closer. "Xen you bastard *muffle* haunt you forever if you don''t flip me over! *muffle* you once I''m out of here*muffle* I''ll be using your fucking skull as a...." As I hover over his body, his screams and threats intensifying. Slowly hovering my clawed paw over his body trying to pick him up....
Curse of Ghosts of Hell-fire''s Past was Resisted
That mother fucker just cursed me again! With jerked motion I quickly plucked him from his snowy prison, the screams continuing even as I continued lifting him up. "FUCKING FINALLY! I GOT FUCKING SNOW IN MY MOUTH XEN! I FEEL FUCKING TERRIBLE AND YOUR PISSING ABOUT DOING NOTHING XEN!..." his shivering puffy red lips screamed at me. Maybe I should put him back... As if he''d ran into a brick wall his face had bruises all over, puffy red lips and the signs of frost burn but none of this stopped him from screaming at me, in fact its increased.... Ignoring his screams I place him against my warm body, hearing no protest I rest there with him, keeping my blood soaked leg away from him lest it injure him. "Well I think that was a good test flight hehehe" I said trying to brighten the mood but received no reply from him, at least we''re safe...for now. --- 10 minutes later --- Having sat here for what felt like ten minutes I found myself watching Legna carefully, bored but concerned for him I hardly realised the numbing pain subsiding until I noticed my once missing leg slowly growing what looked to be red mush, with a light brush it felt as if it were sensitive skin My wounds on my side also slowly closing and cracked scales drastically reduced I gleefully smiled to myself knowing I wouldn''t have to worry about a missing leg unfortunately my wind had regrown slightly, the thick mast taking much longer than the rest of my body. Legna too had regained the redness of his face even if he looked a little blue from the bruises, despite earlier he had quickly quieted down. --- 10 minutes later --- My body finally healing full, Grievous wounds disappeared, my feeling as good as new I decided we had waited long enough "hey Legna lets get going, get on my back" I called out to his sleeping form. "Ugh at least don''t walk us off the cliff" he said scaling my scaled back before sitting behind my neck again. Setting off we made our way down the mountain "Hey Xen, I know your a little dim an all but what exactly made you go to Greatwood Forest there really isn''t much there except tree''s..." "No reason really, not that I really choose I just happen to be born here about a day ago" "So what? your parents made a freak like you and abandoned a grown mutant in the middle of nowhere?" This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it "Erm...no I was literally just born here a day ago like seriously just I was just a crystal when i first got here...crazy right" "Eh...were you a...red cube when you got here?" He asked with stuttered breath "Yeah how''d you know? funnily some people actually seemed to mix me up with someone else, that''s how I got my name hehe" I said with a light chuckle fora few moments there was silent "Are you really as dense as you make yourself out to be or are you pulling my leg?" he said as he gave my neck a kick "your serious aren''t you?....fuck" "FUCK!" he screamed "Now I''m really screwed! fucking hell i''m stuck with the fucking Crystal Lord and he''s a bloody dunce!" "Crystal Lord?...." I asked *Grrrrrrrr* A sudden deep growling interrupting me before it was followed by even more growls. The source revealing a snow white huge beast its shape reminding me more of a yeti, with tall fur covered arms infront of it as extra legs its ape like hands were decorated with long fierce claws. Having not paid attention to my surrounding A pack of 20 white yeti''s had already started charging at us, using their odd long arms to hasten their charge to us. "Oh great Xen why''d you have to go through the bloody Frost Bear territory when their in their fucking mating season! like seriously there''s two over there fucking right now!" With a swift turn I face the approaching Frost Bear "Yeah well your the fucking lookout so maybe you should do your own bloody job!" before I blasted out a quick Fireball, its aim true it hit one in its chest blasting out a crater into it. Its ape like blood scream sending the rest of the pack into a frenzy, with bloodshot eyes they launched themselves at me. The closest one having jumped into the air aiming for my wing its long jump leaving it vulnerable I seize the opportunity grabbing it out the air with my jaws, the crunching of bones and flesh as I clamped tightly shaking it apart. "Curse of Rotting Bones!" Legna called out, his victim screaming in pain as its bone crumble to dust, its once monstrous figure crumbling into a puddle of lifeless flesh. With a swing of my tail to ward off the ones from behind the ones in front take a swing at me, their heavy fists clawing at my scales, a tinge of pain running from where they slapped at me, their assault containing before I quickly ended one with a blast of Fireball. With an almighty slam of my tail on the earth behind me two are crushed, their bones cracking loudly as I rear myself into a sitting position before slamming back down towards the ground atop a Bear, the sound of squishing a fountain of blood exploding from beneath my paw. *THUD* I''m suddenly on the head hit by a big rock, my vision shaking for a moment as I locate the one that threw it, with an irritated growl I pounce towards it striking my sharp claws into its chest, before blasting its nearby friend with another Fireball. With that I''ve killed 9 of them, Legna having killed 4 with a multitude of curses. Their numbers finned down the Frost bears start to panic, the blood of their brothers all over themselves and I they start to panic, 2 out of the remaining 7 start fleeing, Seeing my chance to scare the rest away I channel a Fireball, Its colour growing from orange to lighter and lighter until a hint of red starts showing, having spent over a 1000 mana I fire it off the sudden influx of energy telling me it was double casted, its light red going darker before it flies off towards the terrified victims. *BOOOOM* A massive explosion enveloping 3 of the Bears in its explosion, their lifeless charred body parts flung as if a discarded doll the remaining Frost bears panic at the explosion fleeing for their lives.

___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: I''ve not really had much time to write this week : / I made a few errors, unfortunately I didn''t think of my health regen, at 96 HPps he''d be fully healed in a minute, which is quite frankly pretty silly, additionally I made his health pretty low as well So fixes are this, HP regen reduced from 96 to 9.6, health increased from 10 per vitality to 100 Can''t quite decide on the upgrade, hence poll Greater Fireball: just a bigger version of Fireball as it is now Cluster Fireball: like a shotgun the fireball on impact explodes into a cluster of smaller fireballs (although can be determined if he wants it to cluster) Noxious Fireball: Basically Fireball which releases a lesser version of Hydragon breath''s toxic vapour (i.e. melts people) Suggestion?: As its name implies, got a better suggestion leave it in the comments :) Chapter 12) In Rain or Snow

"What are you staring at? your not thinking of fucking those corpses are you?" Legna said playfully. "No not really but I''ll let you have your fun since you seem so keen on it" I said in reply, receiving a kick to the neck in return. Deciding to test out my new spell I conjure a Fireball, feeling that it was instantly more vicious than before launching it to a nearby withered tree *boom* as it was hit by four small explosions as the tree was reduced to splinters, deciding to test it further I found I could keep it contained to a single Fireball and retain all its power or having split it the Fireballs will split their power depending on how many smaller Fireballs split from it. Furthermore depending on how I want it I can decide on some redirection on the split fireballs, for example I could keep them on their same trajectory or add some varying degrees of redirection in any forward direction. "Hey your a pretty crap shot you know that so can we just stop pissing around my bloody balls are literally going to fall off from all this frost" He said as kicked the sides of my neck as if he were riding a horse. Deciding to ignore his comment and satisfied with the results we continue down the mountain. The falling snow and harsh winds slowly dying down as we get further down the mountain, the snowy landscape replaced with earth and stone, our journey going smoothly until we reached our first obstacle, before us lay a large and wide fissure, its bottom hidden by darkness. "Soo... how''s your wings?" Legna asked. "They''ve been better" I said as I flapped the skeletal frame of my wing, it''d be many hours before I''d be able to fly again. "Well as much as I want to keep talking with you an all I think we should wait her....WH-WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Legna short speech turning drastic. Having turned around I prepared myself for a running jump, infusing my legs with mana I dashed forward toward the fissure Legna''s screaming protests ignored I Leapt with all my might a sense of weightless enveloping me before gravity taking hold. "Oooh shit!" we both scream as we slammed against the top of the fissure wall, my claws desperately piercing the rock to anchor me in. "Hahaha We should do that again!" I said while climbing up "No you idiot!" Legna said as he gave my head a light knock to the head.
Mana Infusion is now level 3
No longer obstructed we continued walking down, Legna deciding to continue riding on me instead of walking, the lazy cunt. Our time spent walking in silence we finally managed to reach the bottom of the mountain, open grassy plains welcomed our arrival, the far landscape spread-out in the distance showing just forest, forest and even more forest ahead of us. "hey Xen can we stop for a moment?" "What you need to take a piss or something?" I replied while stopping. "No you bastard I think my balls have gone inwards and I''m bloody starving" Legna said as he slid off my back. "Well there''s plenty of grass around maybe you can eat it" I said sarcastically. "I DON''T EAT GRASS MORON! I need meat...MEAT I''m not some blood rabbit you know" He said as he patted around in his cloak. "shit..." his face turning glum "my food fell out..." Fearing another Legna kick inbound I acted swiftly "Hey I think I might have some food" scanning in my inventory to see I had some lovely charred meat to give, summoning from my inventory Legna see''s my slightly steaming small pile of meat before me. "I''m not sure what it is but this should do for now" I said pointing towards the meat. Grabbing it while giving it a a few sniffs "For me? well I guess you aren''t really a bad lizard after all" He said while giving it a few nibbles before messily wolfing it down. "*burp* Tastes a bit like chicken" as he wiped his hands on his cloak. Satisfied he jumped back onto my back as we set off again. -- 10 minutes later -- "Hey Xen there''s a house over there" he said pointing towards towards the tree-line, a figure of a cottage appearing from between the the tree-line. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. Deciding to check it out we deviate from our path, the house getting more detailed as we get closer, the once fine looking cottage looking more and more run-down until we''re at its doorstep. "Ah so this is your house Legna? its very...welcoming" I said smirking. "Fuck off i want to check for supplies" He said while jumping down. "But what if someone owns it?" I said while as he stepped through the doorway "And? the house looks almost as bad as you, they''re not gonna miss a few herbs and cobwebs" he says as he disappears inside. Too big to fit in I watch from the doorway as he rifles around the deserted house, a few minutes pass before he reappears. "Hey look at what I found" he said as he brought a bag out, laying it down in front of me revealing the remains of a human or the bones at least. "Oh are you going to make a girlfriend?" I said shaking my head. "Idiot I''m going to make a minion to carry things for me" as he scooped it up returning to the cottage, a few minutes go by of silence before popping out again. "Finally fucking finished" he said as another figure stepped through. "Mother of god what the fuck is that" I said alarmed. Stepping through the doorway was a very deformed skeleton, its body was an enigma of mismatched parts, slightly hunched over from mismatched leg length while its face was between human and deformed bear, with a body covered in cracks every step brought with it a slight grinding sound. "Good right? I call him Bill" He said to my gawking face "He''s perfect although I think I made a little mistake somewhere..." he continued "What the fuck did you do to it? it look as if its been in a blender!" "Blender?" He said confused "There''s nothing wrong with the bloody thing, here! I''ll show you" As if it were a robot receiving its commands the deformed thing started running around doing an occasional jump "See its bloody fine" he said as we continued to watch it stumble around. *CRACK* A jump too many resulted in a chain reaction of destruction, one bone after another giving way as the the sad excuse of a skeleton crumbled into a pile of unmoving bones. A moment of silence fell as we stared at the lifeless remains of the corpse, both of us speechless "Not a word you turd" Legna says before returning back into the cottage. "Hey guys I think I see a house!" A man''s voice shouted from amidst the tree''s. "Shit, Legna get out there''s someone coming" I said almost in a whisper. Not taking the chance to make another mess I dash between some heavy bush and a small ditch, hiding myself as best I can. Watching the cottage as 4 figure appear from the forest, covered in grim and leather armour the 4 warriors walked with swords drawn, slowly they walked towards the cottage door only to meet an impatient Legna. Both Legna and the 4 scruffy warriors stood staring at each other "Eh mate you life ere right" one of them said to Legna. "Yes you twat''s now leave me alone you inbred pissant and go fucking shit in some other parts of the woods" Legna insults feeling even more brutal than normal caused the men to flinch in surpise. "NOW LISTEN HERE MATE!" the one who had spoken out grabbed Legna by his cloak lifting him up to his face. Face to face Legna and random warrior stared into each others face "POCKET POISON!" Legna screamed as he pulled out a fine powder from his pocket and blew it into the man''s face. He drops Legna as he screams in agony, dropping onto the floor as one of his friends rushed to his aid. "This is why I told you to just kill anyone we rob!" as the remaining two pointed their swords toward Legna. Legna showing his usual red face jumped backwards into the cottage "Curse of Hells Chains" his voice calling out the ground around the two bandits suddenly erupted into a sea of chains the pair being ensnared in the living metal as it snakes itself around the two binding them in place. Taking it as my cue I fire a Fireball towards the two unchained bandits, causing it to split into two the pair of bandits are both hit dead on by the split Fireball the blast rending an a few body parts from the unfortunate pair as their screams signalled their deaths. The two in the chains fairing no better as they start turning blue, their expressions twisting in pain as the chains squeeze harder and harder, the sound of cracking armour and bones followed by a trickling of blood. Having no time to spare the chains continue their assault as they squeeze harder and harder, until the sound of cracking bones is no more, their mangled corpses released as the chains dissolve into nothingness "What a bunch of twats" was all that Legna said before he dusted his hands and returned back into the cottage. ___________________________________________________________________________ Authors note: Dam Legna you''re scary Chapter 13) Some People are Weird Legna finally finished with his "borrowing" we continued our journey along. "Hey Legna why are we even going north?" elicting a weary grunt from the lazy Gnoman. "Idiot Its because the Hisnap''s Inquisitors can''t cross into the bloody Rat lands without getting swamped by the little buggers" "How far until we reach them?" "Well if you hadn''t flown like an idiot we could have been there in half a day so one more days at the least" "Is there any reason why you''re an asshole or were you just born this way..." "You really want to know? Bitch you don''t even know what i''ve gone through...it started when I was just a child" his voice growing colder, he pauses before continuing. "My life was normal like every other gnome in the village, that was until the bandits came, for sports they made me cut each and every one of my family members up tiny little cubes before they forced me to eat them, after many days of their "playtime" they tied me up to a tree and left me hanging...I was up there for a few days before I freed myself..." "Oh god I''m sorry, i didn''t know..." I said before his chuckling cut me off. "Ah gotcha you bloody fool, my parents are still alive I just hated the bloody place because of all the namby pamby crap they were always preaching so I left" "So you got kicked out for being an asshole, gotcha" I said annoyed. For the next few hours we kept walking through the long forest, the lonesome woods devoid of all but the sound of the forest as we made our way through. With plenty of time to think I suddenly remember about our prior discussion. "You know you never explained to me what a Crystal Lord is..." I asked. "hmmm...what oh yeah! Its not really that interesting it''s just from the church''s teaching of an demonic crystal who when he raises will bring an age of fire, hell the church even gave out poem''s so that parents could scare their children" With the clearing of his throat he goes on. "Something something crystal lord is rising, the lands grow dark before the gates of heaven will open, the lord shall descend and with that the people will rejoice for the end of the red devil is near. There was a few other crappy stories and poems but pretty much all of revolve around a demon called Xen who goes around as a gem causing a great calamity before being killed by some lone hero, honestly it gets really boring after the first hundred times" "There''s an entire church against me? and that poem kinda sounds familiar..." "Shesh i keep forgetting your dumb as bricks surely you must have heard of the church of Natas Reficul? ...of course not asides from crystal hating their prime beliefs are towards gods messages" "God''s messages? you don''t mean the blue screens?" "Yup, god tells us everything about ourselves, our skills, spells, etc, he''ll even tells us when we get stronger for example if someone pleases god enough by their progression in a skill god will reward us by making it stronger and since god favors you more the church in turn will try to coax you into their ranks" "So wouldn''t that mean there''s no stigma behind stuff like necromancy? why would they hunt you for that?" "Although god rewards dark art users we are seen as a "taboo" because moving little Jimmy''s corpse is a little too scary for the weak minded heretic''s so they hunt us true followers down" You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. "So anyway if the church hates me so much and your such a "devout" follower why aren''t you against me?" "Bitch didn''t you even listen? the church outlawed god himself who knows what else they''ve lied about just for their own convenience, I''m not some fanatic who''ll follow every bullshit idea that pops into my head" With that Legna opened up slightly for the next few hours of what would have been a silent journey was replaced with gossip and banter, learning much about the world from him, Legna of course giving me a very lazy version. In this world the Humans are not even a majority, overshadowed by races like Orc''s, "Rat People" and Goblins but on par with other races like Elves, Gnomes, Dwarves, Animalkin and many more, race isn''t as much an issue as the class divide is. Since acquiring skills is mostly based on a person potential those with very few will often be treated as peasants, the lowest class, those who have many skills but very few combats oriented are considered high class citizens or even nobles. If however they do have combat oriented skills they can more then definitely be granted a noble''s title or even contest for the title of king, only one title is not challenged which is Pope, apparently it''s an elected position but only those who''ve gained multiple titles as well as skills is only one of the requirements to become Pope the others being hidden away behind secrecy. Although he has no idea about the size of the planet there is at least 5 countries he is aware of those being Trivista the human country, Aclana the elven forest, Sedrua of the Animal and dwarven lands, Chaom Dron the wargrounds of the orc and goblins and Scketer Planes our destination. Our destination particularly the "Rat people" as he called it, which from his description would put them as humanoid rat people, slightly bigger than he is, of course the reason he''s chosen this country is because it''s a country which prides itself on the practice of poison and other taboo arts of course this makes them frowned on by the church and many other country as a whole, they''ve only avoided complete annihilation only due to the Scketer planes being both incredibly harsh and large. Legna also put it that rat people reproduce like as he put it "fucking rabbits" thus they are more than able to repopulate whatever is thrown their way, apparently a hundred years ago the current pope built a wall called the "Hisnap''s Divide" around the entire country as a way to wane them down although its had very little effect. For the next few hours we continued walking, the orange skies soon appearing on the horizon but we continued our journey regardless, my body''s natural glow giving enough light to see our way, we occasionally stopped to get Legna some food or let him shake his balls free. Soon enough my wings finally fully healed but we decided not to fly lest we attract attention from the church and Black Scripture. After hours of walking the night sky became lighter, the fading darkness in its departure revealed our destination, a grand wall cropping up over the horizon its size towering above the forest and its length going beyond my vision, our final obstruction was before us, the walls of Hisnap''s. ___________________________________________________________________________ Author''s note: Sorry for the long delay, Dark souls 3 is a freaking amazing game I won''t be uploading anything for this week as I will be going away for my Birthday I will continue writing next Monday Chapter 14) Coming On Over The Hisnap''s walls lay before us, stretching further than the eye could see, even from miles away its thick tall walls stood proud, with each passing step the walls gradually grew taller and taller until finally stopping at 120 feet. The thick stone walls blocking our path we stood there in silence. "Hey Legna what if I..." "We''re not fucking blowing it up" "...I was going to say..." "No we aren''t going to in through the front door either retard" "...we climb over it" "Don''t be a stupid cunt there''s hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the walls and even if we manage to get past them their magic cannons can easily shred us out of the skies before we even reach the ground" "So? I''m a fucking Hydragon I could deal with them and we can damage the cannons before we drop or are you afraid of a few big bad knights..." "Go do it bitch but I''m not going to get dragged into this" Slowly creeping up towards the wall I carefully inserting my claws, wedged inside the rock securely I slowly hoist my large body up the wall, slowly inching myself towards the top of the battlements. "Hey there''s something climbing the wall!" A scream is heard from above us before a few heads pop over the side. "HOLY SHIT ITS A FUCKING HUGE LIZARD! QUICK GET THE OIL!" their frantic voices called out, within seconds brick sized objects are thrown over the edge colliding with my thick frame. "YOU CUNTS BETTER RUN BEFORE I FUCKING KICK YOU OFF THIS BLOODY WALL YOU WANKERS!" Legna screams as he clings on tightly to avoid the rubble. A moment of silence goes before they look over "Holy shit there''s a kids riding on its back!" surprisingly Legna remains somewhat silent if not for the inaudible swearing he whispers under his breath. Soon enough we''ve finally reached the top of the wall, quickly poking my head over the lip of the edge before jumping above *CLINK* A spear jabbed into my chin before another one joins in "Its n-not so tough if it can''t fight back" one of them says to confirm their false bravado. "...Burn!" A Puff of Flame spray engulfs the fools "ARRRaaaggh.." their screams driving back the remaining troops. "IT''S A FUCKING TALKING LIZARD, CALL THE BATTLE MAGES!" "Just once would you at least notice that I''m a FUCKING HYDRAGON!" I scream at them as I pull myself up onto the battlements. Finally settled on top I scout the rest of the battlements, aside from the many magic cannons lining the walls there are many tunnels that line along the walls edge which slowly spit out soldier after soldier. The troops swarming the wall were not just human''s but also elves and dwarves although amidst the sea of silver armor their distinctive features were proudly on display with fat dwarven people carrying heavy weaponry such as great axes and swords while elves were slime, nimble and carrying dexterous or magical weapons such as bows and staves. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The calls of commands rang out from amidst the incoming soldiers almost drowned out by the scuffling of armor but followed as if practiced a thousand times, a wall of shields formed themselves on both sides preventing a swift departure, we couldn''t fly off unless we wanted to be shredded by the cannon''s and the wall of soldiers preventing a clean attack lest we get injured. "KID JUMP OFF NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN WE''LL SAVE YOU!" one of them shouted, A tug on my back suggesting my aim be directed at the poor sod. Launching a barrage of Cluster Fireballs towards him and the incoming troops, their shining armor proved woefully inadequate to my barrage their war cries were quickly replaced by cries of agony as body parts tore off and metal turned to scrap.
Cluster Fireball is now level 2
*CLANG* The sound of many shields scrapping the hard stone floor behind me as they began their charge I whip around to see a sea of iron advancing upon me, my response swift I infuse my claws as i shred through their shield wall as if it were butter, such a clean cut there was little time for their screams to call out as they dropped dead. Their defense faltering for a few seconds before being quickly replaced, not even the blood soaked floor would hinder their unending tide, each strike only slowing their pace by a margin before it''s filled up again, the vast chasm of strength was only bridged slightly by their sheer numbers. Lights within the formation flicker as spells of enchantment and buffs are applied to the troops, my blasts of fire slowly faltering against their magic shields I could easily plough through the forces but such a risky move could get Legna caught up but I had little option but play risky. Infusing mana into a lunge I plough through the sea of silver, releasing Fireball after Fireball onto the many cannons lining the walls edge, with steel and spells staining my scales numerous cannons were soon left smoldering clumps of iron. Not wanting further delays I rush directly for the edge of the wall, with a gracious leap I spread my wings and fall, gliding gracefully we proceed to fly low into the distance, the wall growing further and further away. "Xen!...XEN! Get us down on the ground you idiot!" ___________________________________________________________________________ Author''s note: Not had much time to do much writing, busy week but hopefully back on scedule soon Poll is for a new character but I''m curious if people want it so soon (or if at all) I''m thinking of doing a "Rat puntastic race", would seem appropriate for their annihilation Character detail: Name: Ratty Gender: ??? Description: An immortal "Rat Person" unfortunately immortality isn''t fun when cursed with incredibly bad luck, a simple fall often leading to an extra hole that shouldn''t there Chapter 15) Onwards! Finally we had managed to make it into the Scketer Planes, a thick jungles of green expanded for miles upon miles with pockets of open space revealing the swampy lands beneath the Treeline. "Xen!...XEN! Get us down on the ground you idiot!" "Huh what are you tal..." *Peoff* "Eh?" a small green object was hurdling towards us, through sheer luck I managed to narrowly dodge it. *Pefuff* "What the fuck!" I scream as the tiny little object explodes into a volley of spikes and green dust. "WE''RE BEING ATTACKED BY THE DANDELIONS YOU DUMBASS!" Dandelions? that harmless weed couldn''t poss... *Peoff**Peoff**Peoff**Peoff* Even from our distance the exploding flowers could be heard as a barraged of hundreds of projectiles came screaming at us. Dodging as best I could the little green objects were too numerous to dodge, I felt a tap hit my wing, a quick glance only proving my worst fear, a ball shaped cluster of green spikes embedded into my right wing. *Pe...* "Fuck..." we both muttered. *...FUFF* The spikey ball exploding in a shower of spikes and Goo, the explosion of needles scattering everywhere narrowly avoiding Legna, my wing however unharmed and yet... shit its getting heavier?! Shit I''m losing balance! My only solution would be to land quickly... "Hey Legna!" "WHAT!" "Remember our first flight...." "...Fuck off don''t you even dare! DON''T YOU DAAAAAAAAA....." Legna''s screams are quickly muffled as I go into a nose dive towards the ground, my speed increasing along with my wing growing heavy growing increasingly difficult to balance myself as the ground grew closer and closer.
Curse of Boiling Blood was Resisted Curse of Melted bones was Resisted
Ignoring the blue screen I narrowly avoid the flying bombs, aiming for a clear patch among the swamp and tree''s, gritting my teeth for what could only be described as suicidal I put my plan into motion. With only moments to spare I pull myself out of the nose dive and unfurrow my wings as if they were parachutes, an intense pain flares as if I''d were they were being plucked by a giant my speed haltering by a third. My wings giving slightly I hit the Treeline, branches and leaves smack against my scales as I break through the thick foliage into an open field. *THUD* *Splash* my landing harsh I leave a small crater where I''ve landed with a pained sigh I sit up as I examine the surrounding area.
Flying is now level 2
Oh just fuck off... The unpleasant goes by before a somewhat familiar feeling crept over me. "Hey Legna does this feel familiar to you as well?" I called out. *MHMmmhmmm* I hear Legna call out from nearby half buried in a quagmire. *Gulp* shit... slowly crawling over towards the pile of black clothing that should have been Legna I pluck him from his muddy prison Slowly pulling Legna up from his leg revealing a face of thunder and mud.... slowly I start lowering him back in. "YOU FUCKING CUNT WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU EVEN DOING! DIDN''T I FUCKING TELL YOU NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN!..." skillfully throwing him down on the ground as he wriggles about he proceeds to curse and stomp about. ....yup I think he''s angry.... *Groan* Twitching in surprise I stare at Legna, the angry Gnoman responding with a confused shrug. Scanning around for the source of the groan it wasn''t long until we were left scratching our heads. *Groan* "Ah...Xen..." "Yes Legn...." my response cut short as he points out in slight shock towards my feet revealing a pile of bloodied dirt. "OH SHIT!" I said leaping off where I''d been sitting. The spot I''d been standing on marked in red and for a moment it remained unmoving. "Ooooh god that was painful..." A female voice moans, from within the shifting red dirt, a whitish figure emerging from where I once sat. The figure finally in view she stood at 5''6, its clear that Legna wasn''t lying when he said they literally looked like rats, with shifty ears, beady nose and eyes and whiskers complete with thick white fur. Her body covered in greenish rags matted with red and holes while allowing room for her thick rat tail that swayed behind her but strangely the women had no shoes on displaying her thick rat feet, she was quite literally a humongous rat that has learnt how to stand up. "That''s a fucking huge rat" i muttered, her ears slightly twitching in response. *Splirt* a gruesome spray of blood spraying forth from one the holes from her chest, the nearby Legna getting slapped with a mouthful before he even had time to duck. "*pffft* fuck you, you sick bastard!" his protest being the least of my worries as this strange women stands there silent. "Holy fuck are you ok?" I called out but received no reply. "Hey bitch you even listening!" Legna called out in irritation. "Oh sorry, I''m still a little shocked that some kids lizard came and squashed me" "I''M A HYDRAGON!" "I''M NOT A KID YOU CUNT!" we cried out together. Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. *woosh* a gust of wind blows by as we stood there staring at each other. "Whatever, looks like I''m dealing with two morons if they can''t even apologize for trampling on nobility ohohoh" she said with a pretentious laugh. "Your not nobility if your wearing fucking rags then I''m a bloody king" Legna retorts. "The king of Maggots himself? oh what a wonderful visit your majesty has visited upon me, why didn''t you come sooner" she said with a smirk and lazy bow. "Ok now hang on you two are acting like children..." I said. "Children?" they both said. "I''ve still not heard a sorry from flattering me you dumb flying lizard" her words as sharp as knives they struck with deadly precision.
Curse of Tortured Ghosts was Resisted
Feeling the pressure of an angry Gnoman and Rat Person I don''t I''m going survive much more of this.... "Look I''m sorry for landing on you but honestly you look fine..ish" with a sigh I continue. "Anyway we haven''t introduced ourselves...my names Xen and my friends here is Legna" "Oh a peasant introducing themselves before I do? how rude of me, my name is Rattertails The Third, daughter of Ratters The Mother" she said along with a bow that even a king would find hard to question.

Scketerverinianer? wait its not Rat People? "As to why I''m ok is rather simple I blessed by god with immortality Ohohoh" with that same noble laughter we''re left in awkward silence "Really are you going to do that fucking obnoxious laugh everytime you say something" Legna mutters. "Well it depends, should a child really be swearing so much in front of their superiors" Mouth a wide at what she said i leap into action holding the now angry Legna back from pouncing on her. "So anyway where are we...madam" I said while increasingly struggling to contain the squirming Legna.
Curse of Withering Flesh was Resisted
"Well clearly you two don''t know otherwise you wouldn''t have flown over the dragon''s graveyard, we''re just south of the village of Woodstone" she said pointing towards the far distance. "Well anyway as much as a noble such as myself loves to interact with peasants I''ve got bett...." *BANG* Where she once stood now lay a large tree or what should be better described as a tree club, the owner of which emerged from among the Treeline as if to announce their arrival. "UGH ME DINNER READY!" "NO ME DINNER" A two headed troll called out as it emerged from the thick foliage, its green fat fingers picking its club as it drool in anticipation of its meal. Suddenly the Troll''s fat body twists towards us "LIZARD AND CHILD AFTER FOOD" "GOOD MEAT" they called out together. Having said the magic word me and Legna jump into action, aiming a FireBall at the fat bastard exploding into cloud of smoke and splinters. "UGH PUNY THING HURT US" "GRRAWW" They screamed through the smoke, the weapon destroyed and chunks of flesh peeling off they charge towards me in a fit of rage. Anticipating their charge I leap towards them Slashing at them with infused claws, each strike drawing thick gushing blood but I underestimated both their resolve and regeneration, the charge unhindered they launch their attack upon me. *SLAM* Their thick green arms slamming into my back, I''m driven face first into the muddy ground before a barrage of strong punches, rolling along the ground to avoid the barrage I manage to nick their legs causing them to stumble giving me time to get back onto my feet. "Dragon''s Vapo..." "Shadow Art Nobles Guillotine!" A calm voice called out *SLICK* *thump* The trolls heads now cleanly separated from their body, an expression of confusion now etched permanently on them as they lay on the floor. "What? surely peasants can at least deal with a small trolls..." "uhmm..." "Then its decided a noble MUST protect the weak so I''ll let you join me ohohoh" Covered in mud and troll blood I can only nod my head. ___________________________________________________________________________ Author''s note: Something which I should have thought of asking is whether you guys like the sound effects I''ve been adding, do you feel they add anything or are they not worth it in your opinion? Plus how do you guys like the new companion? Chapter 16) Micey buisness "Are you sure its wise to follow this crazy bitch?" Legna whispered. For the past hour we''ve been following Ratter''s through miles and miles of heavy swamp and foliage, towards her home town of Woodstone or as she put it "her Kingdom", despite her earlier pancaking she''s right now casually walking ahead of us as if it were safe despite Danger Sense telling me otherwise.
Danger Sense is now level 4
Although uneventful for the last hour my Danger Sense has been steadily levelling up, perhaps its thanks to whatever is stalking us that''s prompted its rapid growth, I''ve found it steadily becoming more and more accurate with each level. At first I just had a vague awareness that there was something nearby but with each level I''ve been able to find a general direction, a secondary effect that I''ve been able to grasp is that the stronger the Danger Sense the stronger the monster. I''m guessing with more levels it''ll become more and more accurate until it evolves. "We should be nearly there, it''s been quite a while since I''ve come back to my manor, I think I might have a fine wine when I get back" she calls out before slipping, landing face first into a muddy quagmire. As if taking cue my Danger Sense suddenly amps up, I turn around only to see a black blurr approaching me. "Shit!" I said as I''m tackled, the collision of bodies throws me off balance throwing poor Legna off my back into the swamp, the scraping of claws across my scaled sides is quickly followed by pain quickly jumping towards the source I''m confronted by the beast before me. Before me stood quite literally a black panther and yet it wasn''t, as if armoured it had scales covering its underside and limbs, being twice the size of a human it was far more nimble than it looked as it quickly distanced itself. Having no luxury to check on Legna I prepare myself to strike the panther, shooting a few Cluster Fireballs to keep it on edge it easily leaps out the way before charging towards me, its aim at my injured side it quickly closes the gap between us. "Curse of Naivety!" Legna''s called out, the panther head twitching as the curse takes ahold. "Xen! The pussy is confused, strike it now!" Lesson learnt I prepare a counter-attack, drawing its attack out it leaps into the air towards me, a foolish move I leap backwards leaving the beast vulnerable as it lands where I once was, infusing both my claws and Legs I launch myself towards the beast, my tackle connecting I tackle it to the ground. Lying on-top of it I unleash a vicious series of slashes towards the struggling panther, my claws stained in blood as they dig deep the beast howls and groans with each strike, its struggles growing weaker and weaker until finally it gives one final weak shuffle before collapsing forever. "Oh looks like you finally slayed that pussy!" Legna says. Caked in its blood I gave Legna a toothy grin "Yeah...I regret saying that now that you''ve given me that freaky smile" while climbing onto my back. *Ding*
Level Up Level Up Level Up Level Up Level Up Mana Infusion is now level 6
Swiping away the menu, I had no time to distribute my stats, having already gotten off the panther we continued onwards, having dealt with our stalker Danger Sense would rarely alert me before fading. Soon the thick foliage gradually waned as we got closer to our destination before disappearing completely, replaced by a thick wooden wall, almost as tall as the tree''s, Ratter''s had finally lead us towards our destination. Walking alongside the wall it felt as if we had walked into another dimension the sound of the jungle ceased, our footsteps breaking this silence we trudged along, a few minutes later we finally found the entrance, marked by a simple stone road that shot out towards the jungle. "Hang on is that a fucking road?! why have we been walking through every fucking swamp in this place when there was a bloody road only 20 feet away!" Legna''s cries out. "HALT" a rather deep voice called out, looking towards the source two guards clad in tarnished metal plated armour approached us cautiously, with faces obscured by metal helmets only their long pointy ears indicated that they were Rat people, with silver spears pointed towards us they slowly made their way over towards us. "Who are you and what exratly do you have with Woodstone!" one of them demanded through his visor thrusting his spear towards Ratter''s. "My name is Rattertails The Third, a noble of this fair city I''ve come back to my home as I want to" The guards noticeably flinching at the word noble slightly twitch their weapons yet do not relent as they continue to point their weapon at Ratter''s.. "Can you explain why you have a Lizard and child are following you? they look a bit micey for a noble women" "Oh should a guard as ratself be asking a noble women such a question, do not inquire into other mices business or would you rather I tell your captain how you viciously told me to...*whisper*" She says leaning in closer towards the guard, finally pulling back she flouts a very unconvincing sad pout towards the visibly shocked guards. The guard gives off an audible squeak "Ma''lady forgive my rudeness" before kneeling on the ground almost kowtowing to her. "I don''t give a rats ass about your rudeness just let us in already" Hastily getting up the two guards push open the wooden gates open. "Do you wish for an escort to your estate fair noble?" "No need I live nearby on Wood street" She replied as she stepped through. Walking through we were met with a rather anti-climactic hole in the ground to which the road ran directly into it. "See that you have that confused look on you the cities underground dumb-ass" Legna said before I gave him a quick nudge down the hole. Standing on the edge of the entrance the sound of a busy city echo''d from within, following Ratter''s advance into the cave the muttering of guards caught my attention. "Wood street? isn''t that the eastern slums...." The guards voice becoming drowned out as we entered the hole. The walk down the hole was short lived, slowly the noise of a bustling city grew louder and louder until finally the city of Woodstone was in sight. Despite my initial expectations the Rat people are far more advanced than I had ever considered of them, testament to their advancement as a very large underground city stood proud before us, in the centre large and luxuriously build buildings stood tall among themselves as the city grew smaller and smaller towards the outer ring. Even from this distance buildings held a unrealistic level of detail, as if laughing in the face of modern architecture back on earth, even the roadways gave of a feeling of being meticulously planned as they stretched across the city with signs of lampposts decorated with shining orbs lighting the many streets. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. In the centre of it all was the biggest building in the city exclusively built white, with five large obelisk towers for each corner with one larger tower in the centre of which a bluish glow radiated from its pointed tip, to which all towers were connected into a squarish shaped dome. "Hey Ratter''s, what''s the large building for?" I asked curiously. "That old thing? Its powers everything from the steam-works to the Magilight you see in the streets, its also what keeps all the wildlife from invading the city" Having stared long enough we set off down towards the city, Ratter''s house was located in the far eastern section, besides the leaders whom lived primarily in the centre nobles would live on the edge of town, with the threat of constant invasion the weakest side would fall the fastest while the stronger side would withhold if not dissuade attackers. With that said however with each year a cycle would commence in which one of the four main gates would theoretically become stronger or weaker depending on one of a multitude of factors however for the last 30 years the eastern entrance has been crowned as being the strongest. Our journey to Ratter''s "mansion" was fraught with many trails especially the large horde of Rat children whom wanted nothing more than to climb the "big scaly thing", which to the shock of the many spectators could only gasp and stare at the spectacle as many kids tried to swamp me. ME! the Hydragon reduced to a children''s jungle gym... I had hoped that Legna would shoo them off but it seems as if the Rat children took him as part of our "travelling circus" since they almost dragged him off in an attempt to get him to play with them, aside from the few curses launched at me, the stupid cunt Ratter''s seemed to find it far too amusing to lend a hand. Thankfully a smaller horde of angry mother''s came and beat the ever living shit out of their children, even from a few blocks away the distant wails of crying children can be still heard, unfortunately for Ratter''s she had a little accident when we "accidental pushed her into nearby waterway. Soon enough the once smooth stone gradually turned into unkempt streets, dirty and littered with all manners of crap, the once clean Rat people replaced by filth covered beggars and the homeless. The further we stepped into this territory of poverty the more it kept growing worse, only traces of the once perfect road remained while the sources of Magilight grew increasingly distant and paler. Soon enough we had reached our destination, Ratter''s slightly soggy happily skipped forward as if ignoring the complete poverty around her before stopping outside a large house. "And this...this is my house, behold!" she say''s with outstretched arms. Ratter''s house was....shit. "Well...compared to the other houses it definite looks...nice" I said awkwardly. "But shit is still shit even if you compare it next other shit..." Legna chimed in. As she had said, it was indeed a manor house which in its prime would have suited a noble and yet right now before us is a house that is on the brink of collapse, the once wooden roof now occupying the second story of the house, rotten wooden frames and shattered glass was all that remained of the windows the sorry state of the house was only complete with a large hole for a front door. "Well the last time I was here there was really nothing wrong with it but then again maybe the servants haven''t been doing a good enough job" she asks while cupping her chin in her fingers. "You keep saying the last time you came here but when exactly did you leave?" "Well...erm, hmm when was the last full moon? hey you there!" she calls out to a nearby beggar. In rags that rivalled even Ratter''s a sheepish Rat man tries to slink away into an alleyway before Ratter''s dashes off towards him, his effort futile a pitiful squeak is heard from within the alley before she casually walks back towards us, the frightened beggar scurrying away. "Apparently seven years ago" she says almost unconcerned. "SEVEN FUCKING YEARS AGO!" Legna voice echoing throughout the cave. "Legna shush, it can''t be that bad...can it?" I say in an attempt to lighten the mood. "Come on in, I''ll introduce you to my family" Ratter''s said as she disappeared into the dark decrepit house. Legna having already jumped off my back looked at me as if waiting for a cue. "It''s bad but honestly its better than outside right? plus we''ve already come this far..." I said to Legna, receiving only a worried shrug. Letting Legna enter first a slight problem arises....I''m too big. "Just put your fucking head through" I heard Legna call out. Taking Legna''s advice I sit beside the large hole, slowly I squeeze my head inside. The insides of the manor were far from pretty, the corpses of what was once furniture and decorations lay scattered across the large tattered carpet of the entrance, the few doors now reduced to splinters or missing completely. Legna whistles as he inspects the hallway "I didn''t actually think you''d have a house but I guess a shit-house is still a house" his jib unanswered. "Hey where''s Ratter''s?" I call out to Legna receiving a shrug in return. Suddenly a light is seen coming from one of the doorways, a faintish blue slowly growing larger, a curious Legna deciding to investigate goes towards the edge of the door. "Boo!" Ratter''s jumps out towards the approaching Legna. "Holy fucking shit!" he screams falling back onto his ass. "Ha ha *cough* ohoh oh" Holding onto a bluish Magilight Ratter''s approaches the centre of the room before lightly settling it down onto the wooden floor. A sudden nudge from my side almost makes me jump, pulling my head from the house a small band of guards have encircled me and the house, their spears pointed at me, their leader only distinguished with a red feather in his helmet. "Oh...hello?" I ask sheepishly. "It talks? Fuck I owe Carl 20 Copper''s *Ahem* I have been told that we have someone here is pretending to be a noble, under Woodstone law impersonating a noble has a penalty of death, may the accused please show themselves" the leader gruff voice calls out. A few moments is all it takes before Legna and Ratter''s step forth. "I can''t believe it...the lost Third has finally returned, MEN LOWER YOUR WEAPONS!" the leader waving his hands before kneeing down, hand over heart he dips his head "Lady Third, please let this knight return you back to your throne" ___________________________________________________________________________ Author''s note: This one was just...hard to write.
