《Conquest Apocalypse》


 Prologue, 2nd chance

    Upon opening my eyes from the shimmering lights and a cool atmosphere, I noticed a young woman on my side lose in daze while facing a wall just above my head. And a crying woman who had the same hair color as the younger one but is probably older,I can hear her sobbing while repeating my name over and over again.


    ¡®Von, Von¡­¡¯


    Regaining my consciousness, I could hear the sobbing of the older woman while she is leaning on my stomach.


    Slowly Opening my eyes, I started to sweep my gaze around the room which I could conclude is a hospital.


    ¡°He is finally awake!¡± Said one of the nurse who was standing behind the crying woman.


    Her sudden shout attracted all the attention towards me, I wish she hand''t done that.


    ¡°It¡¯s a miracle!¡± The doctor cried out after checking my pulse and telling the nurse to fix something behind my bed.


    ¡°Von, I¡¯m so happy you¡¯re alive¡± The teary-eyed woman who was crying on top of me splutteredsaid joyously.


    ¡°I- I¡¯m fine.¡± I replied vaguely, noticing how croaky, strange and foreign voice sounds I can¡¯t help but remember how I ended up like this. I must have been foolish to attempt of taking my life over a woman.


    The woman that I had loved for a year now had betrayed me, I thought everything between us was going smoothly and everyone even thought that it was a matter of time before we get married¡­ But it¡¯s all a farce.


    I never would have thought that she would betray my feelings for her, I never would have thought that she would betray me behind my back.


    I still remember it like it was yesterday, the moments we spent together, the happiness I felt when I¡¯m together with her and the reason why I decided to take my own life¡­


    It all started a week before I attempted to take my life. It was a bright sunny day, it wasn¡¯t anything unusual. But there was one thing that felt weird at one point, and it was related to my girlfriend, Alice.


    Alice is my very first girlfriend, I met her in school when we were both 1st year. She was the prettiest woman that I had ever laid my eyes upon, her blonde wavy hair that reach her back and her sapphire eyes that had captivated my soul.


    She was a head shorter than me but in contrast to her height, her popularity exceed my imagination. I often dreamt of having a girlfriend like her so I decided to confess. I never really had any expectation, rather I even though that my confession would have been immediately shot down.


    But I was wrong, she accepted my feelings and we started to date ever since then. Every dates we had, I could always see Alice having so much fun that I even though that ¡®she is the one¡¯.


    All was going pretty well not until the last few weeks before the holiday break of Christmas, Alice was transferred into a prestigious school.


    I knew something was wrong because, my beloved Alice who always text me suddenly stop texting me. I knew what was happening, but I could not bear to accuse her, maybe I¡¯m just too paranoid that¡¯s why I decided to text her first myself.


    -Alice my love, why are you hardly texting me anymore? I don¡¯t know what happened, but you hardly text me anymore after you¡¯re birthday party.-


    -I¡¯m sorry, I was just so busy with school works, and I hope you can understand right Von?-


    Reading her reply made me felt something sour within my stomach, I could even feel something sharp had pierce my hearth.


    -But, Alice¡­ texting me will only consume a minute of your time right? Even if it is just short words like ¡®hello¡¯ ¡®good morning¡¯ or ¡®goodnight¡¯.-


    -You know Von, you are being paranoid. Why can¡¯t you understand?-


    Her reply was short but direct, I was left speechless for a second because of her sudden coldness.


    -Alice¡­ you know that I miss you right? You are always busy these past few days.-


    -I am just too busy Von, I have too much school work to do.-


    -I understand, know that I love you Alice.-


    I felt a sharp pain on my chest when Alice didn¡¯t reply back when I said I love you to her. I don¡¯t know what happened to her that it went to the point that she didn¡¯t even bother replying that she love me back like what she always do back then¡­


    The next day, I decided to text Alice again. Since we hardly meet anymore on school ground, I don¡¯t know why but I felt like she is avoiding me.


    -Alice my love, Can we meet each other later?-


    -Oh, I¡¯m sorry Von, but I will be going home later today. I just have too many things to do here in school.-


    -I understand, how about tomorrow? I can walk you to school.-


    -No need to do that Von.-


    -I insist, I just miss you so much Alice :¡¯(-


    -I said no need, my father will drive me to school tomorrow.-


    -Oh¡­ ok, take care my love. When can we meet each other?-


    Just like yesterday, Alice stop replying again. ¡°Huh what is this? Is this tears falling from my eyes? Why am I crying? Alice is just too busy¡­ that¡¯s why she couldn¡¯t have time to spend with me¡­¡±


    That night I cried myself to sleep, I¡¯m 14 years old but I know what is happening¡­but I am still hoping that I am just being paranoid.


    The next day, I took my time to text Alice again.


    -Alice... :¡¯(-


    -Are you busy?-


    -Sorry Von, I have still have many things to do. And how are you Von?-


    Seeing that Alice had ask how I was made me feel kind a happy.


    -I really miss you Alice¡­ You suddenly became super busy. Compare to the past were you always text me yourself even if you were in class, you always had the time to text me and reply to me.-


    -There you are again Von, I already explained to you why I am busy right?-


    -Why are you always mad?-


    -I¡¯m not mad Von.-


    -Oh ok¡­ did you get already get home Alice?-


    -Yes I am already home.-


    -Can I come over? J-


    -I¡¯m sorry Von, but it¡¯s also busy here on our house.-


    After that I stop texting Alice for the day.


    I tried my luck for the next day.

    -Are you still busy Alice?-

    Seeing that Alice was no longer replying. I can¡¯t help but tearing up. My fingers started to shake while I type.

    -What¡¯s with the drama Von? You know what, you are starting to piss me off.-


    -Alice¡­ I know the reason why you became like that long ago. I was just playing the stupid fool in hope that I was wrong and hoping that you still love me¡­-

    -One time I was going to pick you up so that we could walk together to school¡­ but I saw that you already have someone walking you to school¡­-

    -You know what hurts the most? It¡¯s when I think about you being with someone else. And knowing that while we are still in a relationship is tearing my heart¡­ I was hoping that one day you will realize how much I love you and that you will come back to me¡­-


    -But these past few weeks, you are giving me signs little by little which is saying that you don¡¯t have feelings for me anymore.-


    -You know what, I had hope that you would have at least broken up with me first before you love another man.-


    -You know what, so that you won¡¯t suffer from replying to a guy that you no longer love. I will be the one who will end our relationship¡­ I love you so much¡­ so much that I am hoping even now that you realize how much I love you. But, I can¡¯t take it anymore. I hope you find happiness.-


    With my eyes red from crying, my heart was aching from the sadness that I suffered. I could no longer take the pain that I was feeling from my heart and that¡¯s when I had hanged myself in order to free myself from the suffering that I was feeling¡­


    ¡°Mother! Big brother had just regain his consciousness, please don¡¯t make him unconscious again with your breast¡­ and I¡¯m glad you are alive big brother.¡± The younger girl who was recently lose in daze staring at the wall said. She then slowly moved and sat herself next to me on my bed. I could see her loving eyes that is filled with worry.


    Seeing my loving step mother in front of me and my younger step sister besides me made me realize the folly of my mistake. I should have not attempted to take my own life¡­ I should have let Alice go with a smile¡­ but my heart was hurting, I couldn¡¯t take it anymore that¡¯s why¡­. Who am I kidding, I made a mistake and I will vow right here and now that it won¡¯t happen again.


    ¡°Von, are you feeling well? Do you feel any pain?¡± The doctor asked.


    I shook my head slowly in reply and he smiled.


    He nodded in reply while turning to my mother. ¡°Mrs. Cendana, may I have a word with you? It''s about the condition of your son and in order to avoid anymore future of him attempting to take his own life."


    I could only smile wryly on what the doctor had said, as they both left the room, followed by the nurse, my step sister Rose smiled down at me lovingly and said.


    ¡°I''m glad that you are alive, brother ¡±


    I stared up at the ceiling and contemplated things about my life, about my attempt of suicide and about my step mother and sister. Listening to the water being poured into the cup things suddenly dawned on me.


    I regretted my actions, but it¡¯s all in the past now. God has given me a chance in life and I won¡¯t waste it.


    I am Von Dominique Cendana, I promise to live my life to the fullest and who knows, I may someday find that special someone that won¡¯t betray me.

 Chapter 1

    This story will not become a VirtualReality one, but a thrilling one were our MC Von fights those walking dead(Zombies)

    ¡°Mrs. Cendana I¡¯m not saying that your son is mentally sick¡­ I¡¯m saying that the cause that drove him to kill himself should not be allowed to get near him¡±


    ¡°W-what! So you are saying that Von will lose himself and will harm or potentially kill Alice the moment he sees her?¡±


    ¡°Sadly yes¡­ and not just the girl, also the boy who took her away from your son. It seems that Von¡¯s case somehow needs to be thoroughly check¡±


    ¡°B-but¡­¡±


    ¡°Mrs. Cendana, have you forgotten on what happened to that girl Alice earlier when she got neared him?¡±


    Me and my step sister Rose had this weird silence between us while we listen to what my step mother and doctor were talking about just outside the room. The two of us can clearly hear them since their voices is pretty much loud enough to be heard and they even forgot to close the door.


    ¡°T-they must be kidding, there is no way that I would attempt to¡­¡± I was going to say that ¡®there is no way I would attempt to hurt Alice¡¯ but seeing Rose serious expression I just shut my mouth and quietly listened to what my step mother and Doctor were talking about.


    I was still in daze while thinking about the matter of me trying to hurt Alice. I mean, I did practically love her and she is also the reason why I attempted to hang myself to death. But hearing them saying that I was going to hurt her and even potentially kill her when she is near me is just¡­too unreal?


    In the first place, why did she even visited me? Did she come over to mock me? T-that damn whore when I see her again I swear I will¡­


    Before I knew it I was clenching my fist until my palm started to bleed from the force, but thanks to Rose who affectionately grab my clench fist and was just smiling at me lovingly with understanding in her eyes made my anger to subside quite a lot.


    ¡°B-but¡­¡±


    ¡°No but¡¯s Mrs. Cendana, I have dealt similar cases in the past and I know well the consequences¡±


    Seriously? I don¡¯t even remember seeing Alice earlier¡­ Even if I think it thoroughly, I can¡¯t seem to remember seeing her and much more, hurting her. Maybe this is the sickness that my step mother and doctor are talking about?


    I can¡¯t believe I am this kind of petty of a person, haha bearing a grudge¡­ well I guess this is fine too. The moment Alice tore my feelings for her to shreds apart without any proper explanation, I knew deep down inside me then that I will surely bear grudge against her and that guy who she replaced me with.


    But¡­*sigh*, life is unfair. I wonder what I did wrong to receive this kind of outcome. My very first girlfriend who I treated with great care and love betrayed me just like that without any kind of explanation¡­ *sigh*


    ¡°S-so what do you suggest doctor? I don¡¯t want my son to become crazy¡­¡±


    ¡°Hahaha, Don¡¯t be too nervous Ma¡¯am. I¡¯ve dealt a lot of patient like him, and most of them have this hatred deep within them that will only awaken to the person he/she hated.¡±


    ¡°The solution is usually distancing the patient far away and give him/her time to recover, the other solution is¡­ well I don¡¯t actually recommend this one, but it is the fastest but also the most risk taking one.¡±


    ¡°W-what is it?¡±


    ¡°Have the patient face his/her the person that he hates, who knows? Maybe after talking, the patient might quell his/her anger.¡±


    ¡°I see¡­ then I pick the 2nd¡­¡±


    My step mother was probably going to pick option number 2¡­ but her face suddenly paled upon hearing what the doctor suddenly said, Even I, paled upon hearing him.


    ¡°But in your son¡¯s case, I suggest the first option ma¡¯am. Since we all saw Von earlier attacking that girl Alice instinctively even though he was unconscious.¡±

    Hearing my step mother¡¯s worried voice for me made me somewhat happy. Even though we are not that close, but having someone worry for me is making me feel loved.

    Seeing Rose replying nonchalantly made me smile but at the same time worry, I mean the two of us might not be blood related, but her affectionate behavior is new to me.


    She might not have much of emotion shown on her face, but I know deep down that Rose is one cunning and scheming beauty. If she wasn¡¯t my step sister, then I might have considered her confession to me back then¡­ but alas, we are just not meant to be together. Since then when me and Alice became a couple, Rose became cold to me.


    But now, I know she is planning something. I am not a hypocrite but I have a feeling that she is planning something wicked¡­ well at-least that¡¯s what I think.


    ¡°How long do you want to hold my hand?¡±

    Seeing her expressionless face smile¡­ wait, is that even a smile? Compared to her smile earlier, her smile now seems to be filled with schemes and malicious intent, I hope I am just over thinking this.


    I tried to pull my hand away from her, but she just pulled it again and this time she even forced my hand to caress her face.

    Seeing her satisfied expression while her face is being caress by my left hand is making me swallow my dissatisfaction. I admit her face is smooth, she is beautiful, and she loves me. I wonder if the both of us¡­


    Oh no no no, what am I thinking? She is my sister for god sake, even if we are not related by blood¡­ she is still my sister and thinking such things even if it is just for second is not appropriate.


    But then again, maybe this is how Rose shows that she is happy of me not kicking the bucket yet.

    Could it be? Did she finally realize that I am uncomfortable of her forcefully holding my hand.

    I keep complaining but Rose just won¡¯t stop. I thought she realized my worries but now I know she is definitely an opportunist.


    I can¡¯t believe she took advantage of my situation. If it was any other girl, then I might have become somewhat happy and ecstatic. But Rose is my step sister.


    ¡°Rose, you shouldn¡¯t do this¡­ what if¡­¡±

    Seeing Rose piercing stare made me shiver, as if she was saying that I should  just accept my misfortune and let her do what she wants.


    I admit Rose scent is enchanting, her breath which brushes my face is also quite seductive and her body warmth which I could feel directly because of her taking advantage of me.


    Never did I have thought in my wildest dreams that Rose was bold enough to snuck into my bed even thought I am awake in front of her.


    Then again, most men would have probably gnash their teeth in envy of my situation.

    Both of us were just staring to each other as if we were on a staring contest, but I somehow lost¡­ I mean, any healthy guy would lost if a beautiful girl is staring  intently at him.


    Even though she is my step sister, but that smirk she did at the end told me everything.


    ¡°*sigh* I give up, do whatever you want.¡±


    ¡°Brother¡­¡±


    ¡°Hmmm?¡±


    ¡°I love you.¡±

    What did I just say¡­ I better correct my self

    Damn it, how can she fall asleep that fast? She is even hugging me¡­


    I was going to wake Rose up again and explain to her that I love her as a family member. But I could not bring my self to wake her up upon seeing her satisfied smile while she sleeps comfortably on my arm.


    This must be how a sister show her affection right? I hope there isn¡¯t any deep meaning behind her action¡­


    Convincing myself that there wasn¡¯t anything malicious to her action. I slowly close my eyes and fell into deep sleep while I unconsciously hug Rose with my right hand.

 Chapter 2

    3 days had already passed by so fast.


    I never really knew why I had to stay here at the hospital these past three days.


    Because, since the moment I opened my eyes and made a resolution to myself. I felt like I was reborn, becoming a new form, or rather, becoming someone new, someone not bound by his past.


    Then again, when I think about it in a healthy male¡¯s point of view. Rose is a beautiful and charming girl. One would die just to be able to talk and spend time with her.


    But in my case it¡¯s different. I owe my step father a lot. Even if he adopted me because he took pity on me.


    Speaking of being pity, I was told by my father secretly that I was found by him in one of the military camp of some US navy soldier. He said that when he found me, I was tied up in the ground unconscious.


    He asked why I was tied up pitifully to a soldier and he was told that because I am a dangerous kid. Which I found shocking because I have no further memory ever since I woke in a hospital 3 years ago.


    When I woke up back then, the first person I saw was the smiling face of my step father and my step mother. Apart from that moment, I couldn¡¯t remember my past or who were my biological parents or what was my previous name was.


    My step father also told me that on the camp where he found me, he also saw some corpses of other children around my age. Curiosity took over and my step father asked one soldier again.


    ¡°What happened to this children?¡±


    Then the soldier answered with a melancholy face.


    ¡°They attacked us deep in the night and we almost lost our lives if it wasn¡¯t for the gap of our age and experience. Oh, and that child bound over there is the only survivor from the 20 children who attacked¡±


    With those words said, my step father already knew that those children lying dead on a corner is probably trained by terrorist to do things for them.


    ¡°Then, how did you guys manage to catch him?¡± My step father said as he pointed his finger at the unconscious little me.


    ¡°It was bloody¡­One of the soldier got hold of a grenade launcher and fired at those kid¡­ It was gory, but this place is a battlefield. Even if they are children, they are still a trained killer so there was no need to think twice. He fired his weapon and took half of them out in one go. That one there must have hit his head pretty hard seeing as he isn¡¯t waking up any time soon.¡± The soldier said as he pointed at my unconscious body.


    A trained killer huh.


    Listening to my father talking about my past is really shocking to me. No matter how hard I think, I can¡¯t remember my past. Even the doctors said that there is no way for me to remember my past.


    ¡°Don¡¯t worry too much about it Von, the doctor said there is no way for you to recover your past memories. But remember this, you don¡¯t need to recover them, since from the moment you woke up, you are no longer that child who were trained to kill, but you are now Von, my Son¡±


    Damn it¡­ remembering my conversation with my step father is making my eyes all teary again.


    I know that I am lucky for being alive, and I shouldn¡¯t have tried to kill myself over some woman. Thinking about it all over again, I guess it¡¯s my 3rd chance already?


    I¡¯m such a moron, I forgot that the moment I was taken in as part of the family, that was already my second chance in life, and now, I almost wasted that 2nd chance¡­


    Well, I know that it¡¯s too late for regrets but I did promise that I would better myself and not do anything stupid anymore.


    *Thud*


    Hearing a loud noise, my consciousness suddenly got shaken and I slowly started to open my eyes.


    Well, look at that, I was just dreaming¡­


    Feeling the desolate atmosphere, I felt like I am the only person left here in this hospital. But that couldn¡¯t be right? I Rose just slept with me last nigh¡­

    ¡°Fuck! How long did I sleep?¡±


    I couldn¡¯t help but curse out-loud. But seeing the already decayed flowers which my mother had putted inside a vase near my bed, it already wilted and died. I already deduced that I must have slept for more than a week? or is it a month?


    ¡°Mom? Rose?¡±


    Calling for the two person whom I am most intimate with, but seeing that there was no one replying. I forcefully stood up groggily and unshaken.


    ¡°How the hell? I mean, I only remember sleeping last night together with Rose and I find my self waking up alone?¡±


    Muttering to myself, I slowly walk towards the door and exit my room.


    But seeing the The hallway is dark and disheveled. I felt like I am in some kind of horror game.


    ¡°Pffft, don¡¯t tell me that there would be a zombie waiting for me in that corner? hahaha, no way, I bet this is some kind of prank show.¡±


    Giggling to my self, I started to walk towards the said corner.


    But every time I got closer and closer, I felt like my heart would burst from this unknown pressure that I am feeling. I bet anyone who suddenly found themselves alone in a disheveled hospital all on their own would probably be screaming like a crazy person by now.


    ¡°Here goes¡­¡±


    *Phew*


    I sighed in relief because there was no zombie waiting for me. Why zombie? well, I can¡¯t really explain it, but I somehow heard a week or two before my incident happened that zombies are real.


    ¡°But wow, was there some kind of terrorist attack here?¡±


    Well, if it wasn¡¯t a terrorist, then how could I explain this deserted place? and the bullet holes in the walls and the wreckage all over the place?


    ¡°Hmm what would a sane person do in this situation?¡±


    Thinking about it deeply, I immediately found my answer.


    ¡°Ohh right, find a phone. But where should I find one? I guess I should go check the nurse station¡±


    I arrive at the nurse station and tried the phone. But sadly, the line seems out. So walked further down the hall, the walls are covered in blood and riddled with bullet holes is  making me nervous all of a sudden.


    ¡°Damn, this place is getting creepier and creepier. Oh this must be the exit.¡±


    Thinking that the double door in front of me is the exit. I immediately sprinted towards it but seeing the double door being chained shut and a message is written over it.


    ¡°Don¡¯t Open / Dead Inside. Huh¡­ well this is the hospital¡±


    I was going to reach and try remove the chains but then all of a sudden the double door suddenly opened but because of the chains it only opened a little, living gaps in between.


    ¡°What hell!¡±


    Seeing a woman¡¯s hands suddenly pop out between the gaps trying to reach me, I could not help but shout by being startled. I was even shock in seeing that the woman¡¯s hand is bloody, her fingernails dirty and ragged, reach through the gaps between the double door and is trying to reach me.


    *Arrgg* *Grrr*


    ¡°What the hell is happening?¡±


    Hearing growls of more people inside the double door is making me more nervous by the second. Are they sick? No¡­ the message clearly states ¡®Dead Inside¡¯.


    ¡°Are they zombies? but, that can¡¯t be! Zombies don¡¯t exist¡­ then again, the sounds and the sign clearly show it all.¡±


    ¡°Rose¡­Mom, where the hell are you guys? why did you leave me all alone here.¡±


    I wasn¡¯t feeling sad because of being scared, but I am sad in thinking that Rose and Mom abandoned me all alone¡­


    Tear¡¯s started to flow from my eyes and I also started to sob a little, making the zombies inside the double door more restless.


    Little did I know, the world already change these past few days? that I was unconscious.

    I stopped sobbing, even if I cry, nothing would change. I am still left all alone in this apocalyptic world.


    I just hope that Mom and Rose is safe. Even if they left me, there must have been a reason. Because I don¡¯t believe that they will just abandon me just like that.


    Now that I think about it, There had been stories of some of the terrible shit that Humans do in this kind of situations, sustaining appalling casualty rates. Humans would go insane and will do all sorts of things, like rape, violence and so on.


    I bet that the entire military strengths of the government had been deployed already. Since seeing those things¡­ I believe majority of the people had already turned into zombies.


    Just imagining about it gives me shivers down my spine, a massive horde containing tens of thousands of zombies¡­


    If I¡¯m going to think about it in a logical point of view. There is no way in hell that the government military had the resources to airlift out a few thousand civilians within a few hours before the the epidemic or what ever caused this zombies things to appear.


    So if I¡¯m thinking right, then my step father already took Mom and Rose to a safe location with force, that¡¯s the only logical explanation, since there is no way that Mom and Rose would leave me behind.


    I also understand the old man, because if he were to choose between the unconscious me or his real family, he will surely pick the later. But if I think about it in another way, then something must have happen that force my old man to leave me behind.


    ¡°*sigh*, what should I do now?¡±


    Supposedly there were so many thousands of those zombies walking all around,  and  that the remaining survivors were forced to spread out into the surrounding area¡­ then I guess I am really not alone huh? there must be many of those unlucky people left behind hehe, If I think this way, then its not that bad. I am not alone hahaha.


    ¡°Why am I laughing? I must be losing my mind¡­¡±


    By the end of the day, the strongest survivor survives¡­


    ¡°Hmm, I guess I better start searching for some weapon and food.¡±


    I took a look on my surrounding and found a fire-axe on the wall.


    ¡°Should I break the glass and take the fire-axe with me?¡±


    I pondered for a bit and decided to break the glass and take the fire-axe out. I just hope that all the zombies are inside that chained double door. I don¡¯t want to face one yet.


    With my fire-axe on my right hand, I slowly walked towards the cafeteria.


    *Shiver*


    ¡°What the hell is wrong with the lights? why is it flickering¡­ If this is a movie then around that corner, a zombie would suddenly jump at me.¡±


    I slowed down my foot steps and carefully walked towards the said corner.


    *step* *step* *step*


    With each step, I felt like my heart is going to burst, and I was a trained killer? I bet my old man was just spouting nonsense. If I was a trained killer before I lost my memory, then I would not have been this nervous.


    Reaching towards the said corner, I found out that there was no one there, only a long hallway with lights flickering can be seen.


    ¡°Phew, I guess those movies are exaggerated¡±


    I relaxed my body thinking that there is no way that a zombie would suddenly come out and pounced at me.


    But when I turned around, there was a middle man standing in front of my face. His mouth is bloody, clothes bloodied and his face dis-figured.


    ¡°Ohh god, you must be kidding me.¡±


    *Grrr*


    The middle age man zombie suddenly pounced at me with the intent to bite me.

    ¡°Damn it!¡±


    *splat*


    I don¡¯t know what happened, but I reflexively smash its head with the fire-axe that I was holding.


    ¡°Haa¡­haaa, t-that was scary.¡±


    ¡°I finally believe you old man, If I was normally raised, then there is no way that I could have reacted that fast in that situation. I guess I¡¯m really a killer and then lost my memory of it.¡±


    With the zombie blood all over me, I looked like a serial killer on the loose. Haha pretty ironic since my old man said that was raised as a killer since I was young.


    I killed my first zombie, I though that I would be more scared and shivering. But I can¡¯t believe that I felt it was a normal thing to do.


    Without dwelling on it. I proceeded towards the cafeteria.


    Since my first kill of zombie, I felt an overwhelming confidence with my self. So I casually walked without minding whether a zombie may suddenly pop-out out of nowhere.


    Upon arriving, I saw 2 female zombie nurse standing at the middle of the cafeteria. Both of their faces were pretty much attractive, but the only thing that is destroying their beauty is the way their neck is tilting in a wrong way and their bloodied nurse outfit.


    ¡°*phew* what a waste of beauty¡±


    The two zombie nurse noticed me and they slowly walk towards me like some drunken bitches.


    I readied my fire-axe for combat.


    Since my first kill, I am overflowing with confidence.


    ¡°Hmp, their so slow.¡±


    I said cockily, but then. The two zombie nurse suddenly sprinted towards me.


    ¡°Ohh shit, you must be kidding me? are they even zombies? how can zombies run? I though zombies are slow and can only walk.¡±


    The two zombie nurse were running towards me, they were running groggily but still a zombie that can run¡­ that is really terrifying.


    One of the zombie nurse arrived first, she was a crazy woman with her arms open wide as if wanting to embrace me. Of course I knew that what this zombie really want is to have a bite of me.


    So I smashed her head with my fire-axe while I kick the other one on her knees making her bend and also hacked her head with my fire-axe.


    ¡°Well, that was easy¡­¡±


    With my successful win, my confidence grew even more. Fighting zombies are easy, I just need to destroy their heads and they go down in no time. But on the other hand, if there¡¯s a dozen of them¡­ If I can¡¯t really fight a dozen of zombies, then that¡¯s the time that I¡¯ll run away.


    After defeating the two zombie nurse, I slowly walked towards the storage room of the cafeteria.


    Upon arriving at the front door of the storage room, I could hear some rustling sound inside.


    ¡®I hope its a beautiful young woman in distress hiding inside¡¯


    With my hopes high, I slowly raised my hand and grabbed the door knob.


    *Clink*


    With some clinking sound, the door slowly opened.


    ¡®Please let it be a young hot woman, please let it be a young hot woman¡¯


    I kept praying to this imaginary person inside my mind, hoping that the rustling sound that I heard earlier was made by a young woman in distress.


    *Grrr*


    ¡°For gods sake!¡±


    My hopes and dreams is immediately shattered. Instead of a young hot woman, the one who made the sound earlier seems to be some tied up military zombies.


    Three zombies in military uniform  are tied up against each other.


    ¡°It seemed like the government military already passed by this area¡­ and they did not even checked on me?¡±


    With my veins visible popping on my forehead, I was about to step forward towards the tied up military zombie and released my frustration on them.


    ¡°Kukuku, the government military passed by and they did not even bothered to wake me up? does that mean that they already left with all the survivors and left me all alone?¡±


    Raising my fire-axe on my hand, I was about to dispose the three bound military zombies, but something caught my eye which made me grin wide from ear to ear.


    ¡°*whistle*, its kind of them to have left some gift for me. I¡¯m actually touch hehehe¡±

    I finally regain my composure upon seeing the gift that the military government had left behind¡­ Well, in all honesty, I have no clue or what so ever if it was them that left these things behind, but one thing is for sure, the feeling of hiding as a rat is no more. With these things, I eventually found the means to survive.


    Previously, when I woke up all alone, I felt like it is only a matter of time before I also turn into one of those zombies. But with these things, I have enough confidence to keep my self alive.


    My eyes kept sparkling as I hold the military weapons in front of me, like a little kid getting his Christmas gifts.


    ¡°Woa, 5 grenades, a M4A1 rifle with 10 magazines, full body military vest¡­ I- I always dreamed that I would become a military soldier in the future. I just can¡¯t believe that my dream came true.¡±


    Even though I am not a legitimate government military personnel, I still want to wear this awesome military clothes and use these firearms to my hearts content. With the world as it is now, I bet no one would care if I am a real government personnel or not.


    With my excitement dying down, I didn¡¯t forget to return back towards the three bound military zombies. I just smiled at them and brought down my fire-axe on each of their heads.


    *Grrraaah*


    ¡°!!?!¡±


    Because of the sudden growl coming from behind me, I instinctively threw myself forward. I almost stumble upon the bodies of the previously three bound zombies that I had killed, but since my body is fit enough, I changed the direction on where I land.


    ¡°Jesus christ! that scared the shit out of me.¡±


    While cursing out loud I did not forget to check on the zombie that had manage to snick up me from behind.


    ¡°How could I be stupid? of course the equipment already had an owners¡­ but damn¡­¡±


    In front of me stood two military zombie, one is a naked male zombie, while the other one is a female. The female zombie still had her clothes on albeit all the buttons were already undone.


    ¡°Hahaha, the two of you must be lovers huh? If I got this right, then the one who was infected first is the female and when the two of you attempted to do the act for the last time, the female one must have turned into a zombie and killed the poor horny guy huh?¡±


    Of course the two of them cant reply to my great deduction since their already dead and all, such a pity.


    *graaaah*


    ¡°Woa-woa, take it easy¡±


    Both zombie ran towards me, good thing that their running speed can¡¯t be compared to someone alive.


    ¡°Did I forget to tell you two that I hate couples? because it reminds of that bitch!¡±


    By suddenly becoming enrage, I disposed the two zombie couple in a matter of seconds. The storage room here in the cafeteria became silent ones again.


    ¡°Tsk, stupid couple, causing me to remember that bitch. I gotta hand it to them, they did well pissing me off while being dead.¡±


    After calming my sudden anger down, I returned to my babies.


    I lifted up the M4A1 rifle and carefully caressed it.


    ¡°You won¡¯t leave me all alone right my darling? I know that you won¡¯t become like that bitch Alice!¡±


    ¡°Kukuku with this babies, I can live and do whatever I want. The world had already fallen into ruin, why not enjoy myself while I¡¯m still living? as long as mom and Rose won¡¯t find out about the things that I will be doing from now on then everything will be as if nothing happened. kukuku¡±


    ¡°Now, its time for me to transform from an ordinary high school student into a military officer kukuku¡±


    After wearing the military pants and shirt which for some reason fitted me perfectly . I took the desert eagle pistol from the dead body of the female zombie that I had previously killed.


    *Stare¨C*


    I could not help but be attracted to her huge breast.


    ¡°Damn its huge¡­since I decided to do what ever I want, and since she is already dead¡­then its Ok if could just touch it for a second right?¡±


    I do not really know why I¡¯m talking with myself but I reach out my hand and coupe a feel of her attractive breast.


    ¡°Ohhh, so this is how it feels to touch a females breast¡­next time I wanna touch a living ones breast, and maybe I could do more than just touching hehehehe.¡±


    There is no point in playing the good guy in this apocalyptic world.

    My stomach suddenly let out such a sound.


    ¡°That¡¯s right, I came here to get something to eat and some food supplies.¡±

    3 teenagers are currently running.


    The large mall was right in front of them. The screams and noises from within echoed all over the city. Bodies upon bodies littered everywhere.


    The smell from rotting flesh and burning tires tickled their noses and when they walked towards the building. The entrance was very wide and the automated door that were supposed to to automatically open didn¡¯t work.


    ¡°We can enter in that hole over there¡±


    Said by a female blonde while pointing at the said hole.


    ¡°You both go first!¡±


    ¡°You¡¯re a fucking chicken, you know¡±


    Said another young blonde girl.


    ¡°Come on, you know what they say, ladies first. Better safe than sorry though.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯ll go first! But cover me.¡±

    Rin spat in front of her sister as she walked slowly into the building with a machete in one hand and a flashlight in the other.


    They could see two zombies twenty meters away. A few seconds later the two zombies were already dead and young blonde girl could be seen removing her machete from one of the zombies head.


    Seeing her sister leading the why and her current boyfriend following from behind. Alice could not help but think in her mind: (What the hell came over me? Am I really that gullible as my sister said?)


    ¡°Mike, will you protect me and my sister when the situation calls for it?¡±


    ¡°Wha- A o-of course.¡±


    ¡°Pfft¡±


    Rin snickered upon hearing Mike¡¯s stammering response, while raising one of her eye brows towards her older sister and is giving the ¡®I told you so¡¯ face.


    Rin as a kendo master could easily handle 2-5 zombies without sweating.


    After removing her machete, Rin wiped the blood off her face. Seeing that there wasn¡¯t any other zombies in sight Rin and co walked into the closest store. The shelves were completely empty. No food in sight.


    ¡°There¡¯s also no more food found here Oneechan.¡±


    ¡°You¡¯re right, Rin. What should we do? we haven¡¯t eaten much these past few days.¡±


    ¡°H-how about we go towards the grocery area?¡± Said Mike


    ¡°No, that area is probably crawling with zombies.¡± Replied Rin as if she¡¯s talking with a roach.


    ¡°Rin!, how could you be so rude towards Mike?¡±


    ¡°Rude? How can it be consider rude? I was just replying casually as one reply to a trash!¡±


    ¡°Rin!¡±


    ¡°Enough Oneechan, What can he do huh? you believed that he can protect you? pfft. I don¡¯t know what had gotten into your mind and you decided to abandon Von just like that. But I am disappointed on you Oneechan. You abandoned Von, the guy you had loved you for almost 2 years for a rich fucker like him?¡±

    ¡°I know you dated Von at first because you both had mutual feelings with each others. But then you abandon him because your classmate told you that their boyfriends are rich? you are really stupid Alice Oneechan¡±

    Rin was fuming in anger, she was previously holding back her anger because she did not want to make her older sister feel bad.


    Since the apocalypse started, the so called new boyfriend that her sister exchange for Von is totally and utterly useless. Unlike Von who had saved her when she was surrounded by thugs, at that time, Rin was helpless and in her helplessness, Von arrived like a meteor and dealt with the thugs as if he was her own white knight.


    Because of Von saving her, Rin fell in love. But her love could not bloom because Von was already dating her older sister. That¡¯s why she started learning kendo to pour her frustration on her opponents.


    ¡°Rin¡­I¡­¡±


    ¡°Oneechan, I¡¯m sorry for calling you stupid.¡±


    ¡°Rin¡­¡±


    ¡°You are not stupid oneechan¡­ you¡¯re a gullible moron!¡±


    ¡°That¡¯s enough Rin!¡± Mike could no longer take Rin¡¯s abusive language towards his girlfriend.

    Alice and Mike could not retort from Rin¡¯s spiteful tone towards them.


    ¡°Ohh and one more thing oneechan. You wanted a rich boyfriend to boast to your friend that¡¯s why you dumped Von and picked this bastard right? Even though rumors of him are all over the campus , like his a virgin eater, and a playboy. Oh did you perhaps already lost your virginity to him?¡±


    ¡°Of course not¡±


    Rin squinted her eyes as if confirming what her older sister had said is true or false, but it seemed like she wasn¡¯t lying.


    ¡°Well at least you seemed to be not lying¡±


    ¡°I hope my words won¡¯t break your heart so I¡¯m going to give you a chance whether you want to hear what I want to say next or not.¡±


    ¡°I¡­I want to hear it, I don¡¯t want us to fight Rin¡­¡±


    ¡°Good, then I will say it. Von¡¯s step father is the manage of one of the biggest banks in Europe.¡±

    Rin emphasized on the word HAD before halting. Because Alice has started to sob.


    ¡°Why are you crying? Well, I guess that¡¯s enough for now. How about we go towards the HFTR hospital? I heard the military stayed their for a while, so it is safe to think that that place is much safer.¡±


    Rin and co only manage to scavenge a handful of food supplies before embarking their way towards the HFTR hospital.

    At first, I was afraid that the military had already taken all of the rations.


    ¡°At least they left some for me, with these here, I can probably live for a year or two here in the hospital¡±


    Checking out the rations, I could discern that most of the food that the military took are the rice and in can goods.


    Seeing the rations in front of me, I could not help but twitch.


    With different kinds of chocolate, chips, drinks, and other beverages in front of me. I feel like everything in sight are foods meant for a Neet.


    ¡°Well at least I have something to fill my stomach with.¡±


    I was about to reach for a piece of chocolate until I felt something cold blowing from my right side. Turning my head, I could see an open door.


    ¡°Hmm, is that perhaps the freezer room?¡±


    Without delaying any further. I entered the said room and saw countless of preserve meats all over. It¡¯s like I entered a butchers storage house.


    ¡°Woa meat! hahaha¡±


    I estimated that the meat here are around 40 tons.


    (1 ton = 1000 kg)


    Seeing the meats, I took 1 kg of meat with me. Before I exit the meat storage room I saw from the corner of my eyes a box shape container.


    With the meat in my hand, I walk towards the box shape container. And upon opening it, my eyes shone with delight.


    ¡°Hahahaha, this is what I call heavens blessing. Who would have thought that there¡¯s this much ice cream here, and it is all for me.¡±


    Who cares about rice! as long as I have meat and ice cream I can survive and live like a king.


    After I finished stuffing myself with the meat I had cooked in the cafeteria and a half gallon of icecream. I decided to locked the cafeteria doors and sleep on the cold ground.


    ¡°Damn it, I¡¯ll ransack those beds later and bring it here.¡±


    I did not know how long I slept, but I do know that I was awakened by a loud noise.


    I could hear the sound, I immediately stood up but stumbled halfway, falling down, I could here some growling sounds.


    ¡°Shit! did those zombies broke out? and how the hell did they broke out? damn it! there is no point in thinking this pointless things right now I need to barricade myself.¡±


    Opening the cafeteria door, I pushed all the chairs and tables out in the hallway.


    ¡°Hmm, they should not be able to get through now¡­unless they could pick up those steel chairs and tables. Yea right, there¡¯s no way a zombie is that smart right? I must be getting out of my mind, why the hell am I talking with myself?¡±


    With that, I closed the cafeteria¡¯s door again and laid down on the hard floor again, back to sleep.


    ¡°¡­I can¡¯t sleep¡±


    I curse those zombies for waking me up from my sleep earlier, now I can no longer fall asleep.


    *clank*


    ¡°!?!¡±


    Hearing a sudden sound, I immediately stood up while grabbing the M4A1 rifle and aimed at the location where it came from.


    ¡°I think I am missed to check something but what?¡±


    Thinking about it, I suddenly realized that I forgot to check whether the cafeteria¡¯s emergency exit is lock or not.


    Since I don¡¯t want to waste ammunition, I hanged my M4A1 on my shoulder and picked up my fire-axe.


    Holding my fire-axe, I went softly towards the emergency exit door, I knew I was getting closer to a zombies since I could hear its  ¡®growling¡¯ sound more clearly.


    I wasn¡¯t even bit nervous since I could deduced that there is only two or three zombie¡¯s based on the sounds I am hearing. Now, If I only have some pretty woman accompanying me while we both check together for that sound then¡­


    ¡°!?!¡±


    ¡°Oh my god! why do zombies always comes out and jumping all of a sudden out of nowhere!¡±


    This is not even funny, If I were a little bit normal then I would have already died from these fuckers, just how do they even know I am getting closer? do they even have some heat sensor or something?

    I cursed as I hacked and slash the in coming zombies.


    Looks like someone forgot to closed the emergency exit. Good thing that there isn¡¯t much of them here.


    Exerting a bit of effort, I took down all 5 zombies. Too bad my deduction earlier is off the mark by two.


    Before I closed the door, I saw that it was already dark outside.


    ¡°Hmm, zombies are more active at night.¡±


    With another deduction, I knew that this time I am 100 percent right. Well, there is no one to denounce my deduction here anyway. Since I am all alone¡­yeah its just me, myself and I.


    It was dark, and that shone very bright giving off a very gloomy atmosphere, I hope zombies don¡¯t have werewolves ability¡­ I know I am spouting nonsense here but who knows? they could run and could even appear out of nowhere, there is a chance that they could also transform.


    Taking a deep breath, I prayed to the god almighty not to make the zombies anymore powerful as they already are.


    ¡°At least let me lose my virginity first before making my life anymore harder than it is.¡±


    Complaining alone, I went back towards the freezer room and took out some icecream. Exerting myself earlier made me hungry, of course I¡¯ll eat something sweet.


    ¡°Hmmm delicious! there is nothing can compare than a half gallon of icecream after killing those zombies.¡±


    While eating the icecream, I could still remember the zombies I killed earlier.


    There was one zombie who left a deep impression on me, his left cheek had little meat left in them and maggots crawling in and out, I am sure his face was bitten off, his nose and mouth is hardly recognizable, leaving only two eyes and an exposed rows of dense white teeth.


    I don¡¯t know what was it but from his mouth I could see some black liquid flowing out.


    That man was wearing only a white shirt, and a white pants. Yup, he was a nurse¡­or a doctor? .His upper and lower body is bloody, he was probably eaten alive.     A headless zombie appeared. This is waaay scarier than the zombies in the movies. Who said that the head was the zombies weak points? But thinking about it, I already killed a couple of zombies and saying that its head is its weak point is believable. But it clearly does not apply to this zombie in front of me.


    ¡°Tsk! let me see if you can still regenerate after I dismantle your whole body!¡±


    With a frenzied expression, I chopped and chopped every part of this abominable zombie in front of me.


    A minute after. I could see a blackish orb coming out from its pocket.
