《Last Nova》


 Prolouge - Luck

    It is currently summer. To be precise the it is the seventh month of the New Imperial Calendar. Year 261.


    In an secluded apartment building in the smallest town of the New Empire ruled by the royal family lives a boy named Luck Yanami. He was an orphan since the day he knows about himself. Luck was sixteen year old this year and he was going to highschool in the town center.


    By appearences he was pretty average. The only distinct feature he has is the color of his eyes,which are pure yellow in color. He wasn''t really proud of those eyes though. When he was a kid everyone bullied him because of those damned eyes.


    ?What time is it?¡° The boy looked at the electrical-clock on his desk and laid on his bed. He was truly exhausted from today''s exercise.


    ? 16 : 24? I needed 2 hours to finish it today. Last week I needed only half an hour. Am I truly weakening? I need to train more!¡° The boy clenched his fist in the air and said with a serious expression. Ever since summer holidays started the boy decided that he will get stronger than the bullies around him. He was always a good kid. No adults hated him. But for some reason the bullies followed him almost everywhere.


    His small apartment is one of the small number of places he can feel safe. Luck took a quick nap and woke up three hours later.


    ?I overslept? No,no I will be late!¡° Luck woke up and looked at the time. It was currently 19:35 in the evening. He had a part-time job to work at 19. He is late by a bit more than half an hour.


    ?I hope the boss doesn''t mind being late a bit. If she does I am in big trouble then.¡° Luck said and ran out of his apartment.


    The streets were full of the newly designed cars running on monster energized cores. Ever since that event with the Last Nova group the monsters almost killed all of humanity. And not only humanity,other races from other planets were also almost completely exterminated.


    The ones to stop the monsters from killing the races were a group called Zero. They were formed from the military of the various races. Group Zero was trained to battle those monsters and stop them.


    After two hundred years the monsters were held back and humanity''s technology reached the level of travelling space and so the New Imperial era began.


    The humans colonized far away planets. Luck was living on one of those colonized planets. The planet''s name is Ivara in the Colonia star system.


    Luck was currently on his way to his part-time job. He is working at a small shop near his apartment. The boss there is a friend of his. He met her when he was doing his last job handing out leaflets.


    ?You finally came!¡° A voice called Luck out. He was still outside and the shop was 5 meters away from him and someone already called him out. The voice was his boss. Her name was Diane Lockings,She is currently 22 years old. She is of average height,around 160 centimeters tall. She has crimson red hair with a few white part in her hair too. Her eyes were sharp looking and brown in color.


    ?Sorry boss. I overslept.¡° Luck replied to her and tried to go in the shop.


    She stopped him from going in the shop. She looks extremely mad at him. Her gaze was going thorugh him.


    ?B-boss? Are you alright?¡° Luck was nervous what his young boss would do.


    ?You can''t possibly be serious. You think I''ll let you off of this just ''cause we are friends? Come and meet me after you finish your shift. Now go in!¡° Diane said and let Luck go in the shop.


    ?Y-yeah¡­¡° He replied. ?Shit¡­I am dead. I better sneak out after I finish my shift.¡° Luck muttered. Let''s hope she didn''t hear him.


    ?You said something?¡° Shit¡­!!


    ?N-Nothing!!¡° L	uck ran into the shop hoping she didn''t really hear him. Well,the chances are low though.


    After Luck finished his shift it was already around midnight. He hopes that the young boss of his wouldn''t find him. He quickly ran towards the exit¡­


    He went out just to see Diane with her arms crossed beneath her almost non-exsistent breasts.


    She had a face that showed her anger. Luck already knew the moment he left the shop that he is doomed.


    ?WHERE THE HELL TO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING!?¡° She yelled at him and came up closer to him. She grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and dragged him back into the shop.


    ?B-boss,no I mean Diane,come on! Be a little bit forgiving. Don''t you see that I am having a hard time?¡° Luck tried to get out of this situation by talking it over.


    ?Nope!¡° Diane said and threw him into her room on the second floor of the building where the shop was.


    ?Ouch!!¡° He hit his head when he landed. Putting one hand onto the spot he was hurt and the other hand infront of him to shield him from upcoming attacks.


    Weirdly enough there were no more attacks. Luck looked around the room to see that Diane was no more here. He felt relieved and confused at the same time. Just a moment ago he expected her to burst and now she didn''t even hurt him one bit¡­not counting the hit on the head though.


    ?Where did she go?¡° Luck said and stood up. He looked around the room he was thrown. The room was almost all black in color. There were some things that were in other colors but everything,the bed,the walls,the desk, was black in color.


    The room was also atleast twice the size of Luck''s room. He felt envious of those people who had money and parents.


    As he was looking around the room Diane came running in.


    ?Hey! Whatcha looking at? Sit down!¡° She told him and she herself sat down.


    ?B-boss!?¡° Luck was startled. He sat down and looked at his young boss. Right now she was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Pretty casual clothes but when he looked at her,but she was giving of an aura that made her look like a little fairy.Luck could feel his face getting hotter so he put a hand over it to hide his face.

    ?You alright Luck?¡° Diane asked. When she saw Luck hiding his face she was pretty confused as to why. But that''s not the issue here and she continued. ?Actually,you don''t need to answer that. I want you to answer me some questions. Can you do that?¡°


    ?Of course,anything!¡° Luck replied. It would be better to follow her than deny.


    ?First question then. Are you a Mixed Blood?¡° Diane straightforwardly asked.


    A mixed blood was a person whose parents were either from a different race or had monster blood/genes in them. If the parents were from a different race then it would prove to be of no danger. But if the parents had monster blood in them then the army would be dispatched and the mixed blood would become a prisoner on death row.


    ?W-wh-why do you ask that?¡° Luck was suprised by the question. He himself didn''t know anything about his parents. Ever since he knew about himself he didn''t have parents. The people who took care of him were the people from the orphanage.


    ? I am asking that because of your eyes. Is one of your parents from the cat demi-human race or lizard demi-human race?¡°


    ?N-no,actually I don''t know. I never met my parents, I was an orphan since I knew about myself. Excuse me for not answering your question though.¡°


    ? You are an orphan!?¡° Diane was suprised when Luck said that he was an orphan.


    Orphans were pretty rare in the new era. The only planets that had orphans were poor planets like Makria planet in the same star system like Ivara.


    ?Is that really suprising?¡° Luck asked.


    ?Yes,yes. You don''t know this but on this planet there are currently only 15 orphans out of more than  a million people! So when you said that you were an orphan I was pretty suprised. But,you said that you don''t know about your parents. This might be difficult then¡­¡° Diane said and then started thinking about something.


    ?What will be difficullt?¡° Luck saw Diane''s face and started to grow nervous. If it turns out he really is a Mixed Blood then he will have to go through many painful tests.


    ?I mean, if I can prove that you are a mixed blood then I can make you join the Team Zero squad of this planet.¡°

    Luck stood there with a blank look on his face. But in reality his mind was utterly defeated. There''s no normal person who can stay calm after someone says something like that.


    ?Heeeyyy!! Luck you there?¡° Luck heard Diane''s voice and looked at her. Her face was currently only a few centimeters away from his face. Luck was startled and fell of his chair when he saw his boss infront of him.


    ?Diane,don''t do that!!¡° He shouted at her and got back up. He sat down on his chair and asked Diane.


    ?You said that if I am a mixed blood that I can join the Team Zero squad,right? Care to explain why does the Team Zero squad accept Mixed Bloods?¡° Luck didn''t want to beat around the bush and said straightforwardly.


    ?U-uh well you see¡­The squad on this planet is a bit different. The Team Zero here is actually composed from young people in their twenties. There are also some teenagers. As for the reason why does Team Zero employ Mixed Bloods¡­I will tell you if you join it!¡° Diane said and looked at Luck with expectancy in her eyes. She really seems enthusiastic about this.


    ? Join it,huh?¡° Luck thought about it and said ? Can I call you tomorrow and tell you my decision?¡°


    ?Nope¡­ I can''t let you out of this house until you give me your answer. You can also tell me that you won''t join and you will have to live here for the rest of your life.¡° Diane said with a serious face.


    ''Isn''t this more like kidnapping and then making me do your work!?'' Luck thought. His face was saying that he was shocked and he was.


    ?So,what''s your answer?¡°


    ? I will join¡­what else could I do now? I mean you are from a Team Zero squad.¡° Luck agreed.


    ?Good! Now let''s celebrate!¡° Diane said and ran out of the room.


    She came back a few seconds later with two bottles of wine.


    Luck saw the bottles of wine and tried to say no. It was useless she didn''t let him go. After that the night passed and those two drank the whole two bottles. Luck found out that he has low alchohol tolerance and he fell unconcious after only four glasses.


    Diane fell asleep after she drank the rest of the wine.

    It is currently 7:54. Luck woke up and rubbed his eyes. What he saw was complete chaos. He can''t remember anything that happened last night. The last thing he remembers is that Diane stormed into the room with two bottles of wine.


    He looked around and saw Diane hugging his legs. He shook her off and quietly made his way outside.


    ?Where are you going?¡° That was Diane''s voice. It seems that she woke up from the sounds.


    ?Home?¡°


    ?No,you''re not. Don''t you remember that we''re going to the headquaters today?¡°


    ?What!?¡° Luck was startled when he heard what Diane said. He is going to the squad''s headquarters today? He started growing nervous¡­


    ?Diane can I go home to clean myself up?¡° Luck wanted to look good infront of the squad. He will only embarrass himself if he goes looking like this.


    ?Nope,use my shower¡­it''s right over there¡­¡° Diane pointed at a weird door and went back to sleep.


    ?A-alright¡­¡° He said and went towards the shower room¡­

 Chapter 1 : Headquarters (part 1/short)

    Diane gave me a new set of clothes after I cleaned myself. She also got a new set of clothes for herself.


    She is wearing casual clothes. The clothes I got are also a pair of casual clothes, a white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts. Nothing special.


    After I finished with my shower Diane told me that she is a Mixed Blood. She said that her father is a dog demi-human and mother a normal human. I was suprised when she told me that. Well it was pretty obvious that she is a Mixed Blood considering the fact that she told me that the Team Zero squad of this planet is made of Mixed Bloods. I am still not sure if I am truly a Mixed blood but I will play along because I want to see the squad.


    ?You finished? If you are listen up!¡° I heard Diane''s voice telling me something. I listened.


    ?Today I am taking you to the headquarters so I want you to act appropriate. You listening?¡°


    ?Yes,mom¡­hehe.¡° I jokingly said.


    ?M-mom!? Y-you don''t call me mom!!¡° She is more upset about it than I expected. ?Well,whatever,I''ll tell you one thing though. You need to act serious infront of them. And one more warning,don''t anger the girl who wears all white. You do that and you''re doomed,okay?¡°


    ?Wears all white? Alright¡° I agreed.


    ?A car will come take us to the headquarters but I will have you wear this over your eyes just to be sure you don''t try something.¡° Diane said and took out a piece of cloth and started wrapping it around my head.


    ?You see anything?¡°


    ?No sir!¡° I answered. I am currently fully blind because of this cloth.


    ?Good¡­¡° She said. ?The car will come in about 2 minutes. You know about old generation cars?¡°


    ?Old generation? We talked about them in history class. I think they said that they run on electricity,right?¡°


    ?You''re correct. We will drive in one of such cars.¡°


    ?An old generation type? Why? I thought that Team Zero gets even better models than those energized monster core types.¡° I asked. I was pretty confused why the Team Zero on this planet doesn''t use monster core type cars atleast.


    ?We don''t use those because they are too expensive for a small squad as ours. Look the car is coming.¡° Look? You forgot I am blind right? Well I can hear a car coming over so I think that it really is coming.

    A black car stopped infront of Diane''s house. The glass was black and you couldn''t see anything inside it. The car''s windows opened and you could see a man in his twenties inside.


    ?Yo,shopkeeper. Long time no see. Is that the newbie?¡° The man asked.


    ?Yeah, I will be coming with you just so you know. This guy''s name is Luck,good ''luck'' with him.¡° Diane answered and got in the car.


    ''Newbie? Ah so that must be a superior or something from the squad!'' The boy Luck thought.


    ?Diane I thought that the boss told you to be on standby in the shop.¡° The man said to Diane.


    ?She did. I just want to talk to her about something. It concerns the safety of the city.¡°


    ?Oh¡­what is it?...Actually forget about it you will tell me later. I don''t want the newbie telling rumors.¡° The man hid his curiousity and started the car.


    ?Diane, what is he talking about? You were on standby?¡° Luck whispered and asked Diane.


    ?I was put on standby because of an injury. Nothing serious though. I just can''t use melee weapons anymore.¡° This is considered not serious? What is serious then!?

    ?I thought we were friends why are you calling me newbie?¡° Luck was a bit dissapointed by Diane calling him newbie. He really thought they were friends. He atleast wanted that she calls him by his last name.


    ?We are I just don''t want to call you by your first name infont of him.¡° So that''s the reason.


    ?What are you two mumbling there? Can I join in?¡°


    ?Nothing!!¡° Both of them answered the man.


    ?Is that so¡­Well whatever. I wanted to tell you that we will be arriving in about 5 minutes.¡° The man said.


    ?Good¡­¡° Diane said.


    ?Diane¡­are you still angry at that Last Nova member that killed her?¡° The man unexpectedly asked out of nowhere.


    ?No¡­I forgot about that event long since. And please don''t mention it again¡­¡° Diane said with a low voice.


    ''Last Nova? That group was involved with boss Diane? Interesting¡­'' Luck thought about what the man and Diane thought.


    With that five minutes passed quite quickly. When Luck got out of the car Diane led him towards a stairway somewhere. It seems that they were going deeper and deeper somewhere.


    Luck asked: ? Why are we going down?¡°


    ?We are going underground. That''s where our headquarters are.¡° The man answered. It seems that he also got out of the car with them.


    ?You nervous Luck?¡° Diane''s voice could be heard.


    Luck answered : ? A bit¡­¡° Luck''s emotions were all mixed up ever since he found out he will be joining Team Zero''s squad.


    ?Well¡­It will be alright just stick to the advice I gave you.¡° Diane''s voice could be heard once again.


    ?Yes. Don''t make the girl in white angry. Be serious.¡° Luck said out loud.


    ?Don''t make the girl in white angry? Diane what did you tell him? Hahahahha!!¡° The man''s voice was a bit shaky and he couldn''t stop laughing when he heard what Luck said.


    ?I just said what I meant to say. Don''t listen to him Luck he is an exception¡­¡° An exception? Is he someone special?


    Luck''s thoughts were even more confused at their words. They finally stopped and Diane removed the cloth from Luck''s head.What was infront of them was a ¡­ bar? Why is the headquarters of Team Zero a bar? Luck thought¡­


    ?Welcome to Squad number 102nd''s headquarters¡° Luck heard the man''s voice. He looked at where the voice came and what he saw was a handsome almost two meters tall man. He had a bit longer ears and his hair was green in color.


    ?You are¡­?¡° Luck asked. He knew that that was the driver but he still didn''t know his name.


    ?Oh,I am sorry I didn''t introduce myself. My name is Kirin Riveria. A half-elf.¡°


    ?A half-elf!? Woow!!¡° Luck was suprised hearing that his superior is a half-elf. Half-elf are really rare aswell on Ivara. Because the elf race only inhabits planets that doesn''t use heavy technology.


    ?What is that really that suprising?¡° Kirin said.


    ?Yeah yeah it is!¡°


    ?Of course it is dumbass.¡°


    Luck and Diane said at the same time.


    ?Oh my you two can you shut up for a moment. Let''s go in the boss is waiting for the newbie.¡°

 Chapter 2 : Headquarters - Part 2

    << Luck''s POV >>


    So this is the Team Zero headquarters! It looks...pretty dissapointing. It is the same as a normal bar,why does it look like that? I thought that they have a military base or something exciting like that. Who would''ve thought that the base is only a mere bar.


    I went into with Kirin and Diane a few moments ago. What I saw was a group of people scattered around the bar. There were males,females and even animal looking people there. So this is what they meant by gathering Mixed Bloods...


    I feel a bit uneasy because of this. I don''t have any military knowledge or experience in battles. I hope they won''t put me into battle on my first mission. I heard Diane telling me something but I didn''t properly listen so I didn''t really get what she wanted to say. I also felt a bit heavy ever since I came in. I looked at my legs and saw something that suprised me. There were chains around my legs. What the hell?!


    "Why are there chains around around my legs Mr. Kirin,Diane!?"  I asked those two hurriedly. I was totally suprised when I saw the chains.


    "I told you didn''t I? You accidentaly stepped onto a member''s trap...Well,it''s not really a trap more like a prank,I wonder if he did this?" Diane answered me. So she was telling me about that. Sorry Diane I was still suprised by what I could see infront of me I couldn''t really listen.


    "Ah...sorry..." I apologized. I scratched my head and started getting rid of the chains. They were pretty heavy though. I wonder if someone uses these for weapons.


    Now that I look at the other people around here I noticed they don''t really care about us. They just deal with their own business it seems. I wonder which one of them is the boss.


    "Hey! I told you to listen to me and you are again not paying attention!!" I heard Diane''s voice once again. She sounds angry,I better listen to her this time.


    "Yes,yes I am listening now." I replied and started listening,this time truly.


    "Good. I will go find the boss you sit over there. You can order anything you want. It''s all free!" Diane is enthusiastic about drinking as yesterday it seems. Or is she always like this? I wonder...


    I went towards the place Diane told me. As soon as I sat down a person came up to me and asked me :


    "Are you the newbie Kirin told us about? I thought you would be a bit more good looking. Atleast half of the beauty Kirin has!"


    What''s with this girl? How can anyone have such beauty like that half-elf. He has elf blood for godsake! Well,atleast I know why no one was suprised when they saw me. It seems that Kirin told them about me.


    But anyway,what''s with this girl? Her looks are a bit above average and she looks like a normal human. Which part of her is that of a Mixed Blood? Maybe she is someone like me that has only one little part of her body changed. Well,I can''t be sure I am a Mixed blood yet though. When I was a kid they already did a test on me and it turned out I was not a Mixed Blood.


    As I thought about that the girl suddenly asked me a load of questions that I couldn''t answer all at the same time.


    "Hey,hey newbie! What''s your name? How old are you? From where are you? What kind of mixed blood are you?..." And much more. She is quite curious. She seems to be the same age I am though. But she was here before me does that mean she joined Team Zero even before me? How long was she in the team? It can''t be more than 1 year,right?


    "Wait,wait,wait!! I can''t answer those questions right now. Maybe later?"


    "Oh...Alright then." She answered. "So,what are you going to have?" What the hell!? She is a waitress? Tell me that first. Atleast I know that she isn''t an active team member. Did she do that just to make fun of me.


    "You are a waitress? Tell me that before. I thought you were my superior or something like that for a second!" I exclaimed. I hate people like her.


    "So,what will you have?" She ignored me didn''t she?


    "I will have a glass of water. That''s all."


    "Only a glass of water?" She looked at me weirdly. Just bring me the glass of water now!


    "You got a problem?"


    "No,not at all. Just one more question. What''s your name?" Name? Alright I will tell her...


    "Luck Yanami,that''s my name." I said with a carefree voice. Well,there was some hostility in the voice too but I hid it well.


    "Luck..huh...You really have a weird name. I heard you are an orphan so you really don''t have good luck. I wonder why your name is Luck then?" She is irritating me. Not even I know why my name is like that. The caretakers at the orphanage told me that they found me with a name tag. Like I am some kind of pet. I hope the ones who left me like that aren''t my parents but some bad guys. I hope...


    "Like I know. Will you bring me the water now?" I ignored her question and told her to bring me the glass of water already.

    As Luck was talking to the waitress girl,Diane and Kirin met their so called boss.


    "You brought him,Kirin?" The boss asked Kirin.


    "Yes boss. I wonder why we took him in though." Kirin was all polite with the boss person. He even kneeled.


    Right now they are in a secret room in which their boss always is. Only a few people know of this room.Some of those people are Diane and Kirin.


    Their boss is a thirty year old man. He was not really handsome but it can''t be said that he is ugly either. He was somewhere in the middle. He was almost two meters tall and his race is a normal human like Luck...


    He has black hair and black colored eyes that emitted a sharp radiance. Those eyes were ones that went through a lot of battles and life and death situations. The boss also had a small scar on the left side of his face. For some reason he doesn''t want to heal it. Even with all of today''s technology and medicine he doesn''t want to heal it.


    "Why we took him in? Well,you can say that it''s a favor for an old friend. I can''t say more though." The boss continued.


    "An old friend!? Is Luck a descendant of that old friend or something? I can''t fully believe you if you say he is. Luck is an orphan if memory serves me right. Right?" Diane said. She is suprised that Luck has some kind of connection to their boss. Does that mean that he will serve under their boss directly?


    In the squad there are three factions and the boss''s main group of people.


    The names of the factions are : White Snow Squad, Galaxy and the Elven Division.


    The White Snow squad is an support squad that is lead by the so said girl dressed in white. Almost no one knows her name except her personal bodyguards and a few special people. Like the boss and Kirin.


    Galaxy is the defense squad whose main priority is to defend the towns and the people of Ivara. Their leader is a twenty something year old man named Finn. He is a mixed blood whose strength is acknowleged even by the boss. He is a half-breed between a bear demi-human and a racoon beastman.


    There is a big difference in the demi-humans and beastmen. The demi-humans look alot like humans it''s just that some features are changed. While beastmen are more on the side of beasts, their bodies look humaniod but they are undoubtedly beasts. There are some that have a common sense or intelligence but they are pretty rare.


    Finn''s parents were like that. His mother was a demi-human that fell in love with a beastman. That is considered a taboo in their family though. So is Finn aswell.


    The last squad is lead by Kirin. He is the leader of one of the two offensive factions of the team. The other one being the Boss''s of course. His squad is considered the strongest,but in reality it''s weaker than the other offensive faction.


    Kirin is a bad leader so he usually lets his vice-leader to lead the troops when a mission is going on. The vice leader is Kirin''s little brother. He looks a bit like a girl but you can tell he is a boy by his voice. It''s a bit manly...Pretty disturbing though with his looks. The little brother''s name is Kin.


    "What is it Diane? You scared about Luck''s safety? Or is it something else?" The boss replied.


    "I am concerned he is only fifteen years old,right? What are you going to do about his school? I only agreed to this because you ordered me to!" Diane said. She currently had a concerned face. Even though she thought she hid it well...


    "Well, I thought you would be concerned. What about this...you will be his foster parent from now on. He won''t go on missions until you train him. I give you 2 years time to do so. Also use this and find out if he truly is a Mixed Blood. Tell him I will meet 01him in 2 years." The boss said. He put Diane as Luck''s foster parent and told Diane to train him. This came in a bit too fast for her.


    "Huh?...Wait what!?" Diane had to take some time to comprehend what''s happening right now. She is going to be Luck''s foster parent? Isn''t he only a few years younger than her?


    "Wait,wait,wait....I can''t do that! Where will he stay?" Diane hurriedly said.


    "At your place where else?" The boss said.


    ...


    .....


    Diane had a blank look on her face for some time...


    "No can do! I have no place for him in my house. Only if you are willing to provide me a new apartment!"


    "Alright."


    "What do you---- Wait you agreed?" Diane looked suprised. She thought that he will refuse.


    "Yes. I know your place is too small for him to stay with you. Also...Your parents...So I will send you two to a new apartment somewhere in the city,alright?"


    "Y-yes!!" Diane agreed with that...

    I can''t believe I have to live with Luck! Why does it have to be me? Can''t someone else do it? I only did this job so I can get closer to the boss!! I don''t wanna do this!

    After I agreed to take care of Luck the boss immediately sent me and him to a new apartment where we will live.


    You know,when I came to pick up Luck from the seat I sent him. I saw him with the cyborg guy. The funny part is the cyborg guy was acting like a waitress. I can''t believe how dense that Luck is. He didn''t even notice that the cyborg is a guy. Hahaha!!


    Well...I told him that he is a guy and he was so shocked. He couldn''t believe me and told me to stop lying. Then I called the person (Cyborg guy) and told him to get rid of his disguise. After he did that he didn''t even look like a girl,not even mention a waitress anymore. He got rid of his hair and has shown his bald head. Also his body was like a boys again. It didn''t have the breasts or anything anymore.


    I wonder why that guy likes to do such things? Is he into that? Eeewww...I can''t stand it for some reason,disgusting.


    The look on Luck''s face was also fun to watch.He almost fell unconscious...oh my God I can''t believe how dense he can be!


    Well aside from that I borrowed Kirin''s car and drove the two of us to the new apartment boss talked about. He said something like this : "You guys will have almost everything there, a gym,a kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and more. Well it is pretty expensive so don''t break something that costs much or I will reduce it from your pay."


    Reduce it from my pay,he said... Like I can pay for something like that. Should I do missions again? I don''t know about that...I can''t be on the offensive team again atleast with my injuries.


    "Where are we going Diane?" Oh right I haven''t told him yet. I was preoccupied with the cyborg guy and thinking about my job!

I needed five years just to do speak to the boss.Only last year did I get permission to see him. That means I have been trying for 6 years already until I managed to see him!

    "The boss said that he will see you after you finish your training." Pretty good Diane. I must reward myself with a drink after this is done. I can stay calm even after this.

    "O-ok!!" I replied. Man she is scary. Why did her personality change so much? Is it because I did something wrong? Or because of that boss? I feel bad for some reason...


    10 minutes later...


    "We''re here!" I heard Diane say. When I got out of the car I saw a huge house right infront of me. Is this the home she talked about?


    "Let''s go in." She said and started taking out her stuff out from the car. When did she have time to pack them all? Was this all planned?
