《Her Highness Only Wants To Train》 Prologue - Death "Put your hands in the air and don¡ät make a noise!¡°, heard Samuel, who tried to draw cash from his account at the moment. Three masked men had rushed into the bank. The one with the gun threatened the employees. "Hand over all the money and nobody will get hurt!¡°, shouted the leader of the three. The employee who had a gun pressed against his forehead was forced to go to the safe and open it. Two men followed him, and one was left to watch over everybody remaining. Naturally, one employee had already pressed the emergency button below a desk and the police knew about the raid. Samuel was eighteen years old and a martial artist, he trained since he was little, at the age of 7 in particular. The reason was that he had been an orphan since he can remember. In order to protect himself he started to practice under his master at the orphanage. Of course he won several tournaments and was well known too. That meant he knew how to deal with those guys so he tried to trick the one who was keeping an eye out for every kind of disturbance. "If I use my umbrella as walking stick and act as if I am blind he should hesitate and I can close the distance to him.¡°, is what Samuel thought. Samuel started his role and the robber shouted at him: ?Hey, why are you moving!?¡°, a second later the robber realised that the guy before him had his eyes closed and used a wet umbrella as a walking stick. "Are you blind?¡°, he asked. But Samuel didn¡ät return an answer. Instead the robber had a fist in his face and crumpled to the floor, a kick followed and the man was unconscious. The screaming robber alerted the two other men who had their backpacks filled with money in the meanwhile. "You bastard!¡°, shouted the man to Samuel¡äs left and charged at him. Samuel evaded his punch and prepared himself for a counterattack. The counterattack¡äs blow let the attacker faint and left him on the floor. " To attack without a plan doesn¡ät work against me.¡°, said Samuel casually. Now he had dealt with two men and only one was remaining. But there was a "little¡° problem. Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. The last man was literally a mountain. He was at least two meters and 10 centimeters tall and had muscles all over his body. Samuel wouldn¡ät have had a chance if he hadn¡ät fought with such guys before. He knew their weaknesses which were speed and the knees. But before Samuel had the chance to attack him the man already charged at him and dealt fierce punches like a machine gun. Samuel could only evade the punches which would cause his defeat if they hit him. The man sneered: "Haha, now you are no longer so high and mighty! If this continues I will get you sooner or later!¡° Samuel knew that of course, but he couldn¡ät find an opening in the defense of his opponent. After three minutes of constantly evading the giant¡äs deadly blows eventually slowed down, when Samuel saw his chance he roared: " Now!¡°, and hit the man¡äs knee. The man collapsed and Samuel kicked him with his knee in the face to end the battle. Finally, it was possible to hear the siren of the police and Samuel put his guard down. Never did he imagine that this would kill him. The like-a-mountain man was barely conscious. Beside him laid the gun of his companion who had dropped it before. With his last strength he took the gun and pulled the trigger. Samuel, who tried to remember what he wanted do buy after this incident was over, heard the shot but couldn¡ät react in time. The bullet pierced his chest and he fell on the floor. The man muttered satisfied: "Ha.., I.. have¡ won..¡°, before he fell unconscious like his companions. In this moment the policemen who had just arrived at the scene heard the screams of the employees and stormed into the bank. What they saw left them dumbfounded and shocked. Three knocked-out robbers and one young man who laid in a pool of blood with a tiny wound in his chest. One of the policemen ran towards the youth and shook him by his shoulders, trying to wake him up. "Answer, are you alive?! Hey, Hey!¡° But it was in vain, the shot hit the aorta, Samuel died within seconds. Chapter 1 - Reincarnation "How foolish of myself! To get shot because I let my guard down! Arrg, I could kill myself! If I wouldn¡ät be dead already..¡°, Samuel raged over his grave mistake. After some time he gradually calmed down and wondered where he was. "Hmm, am¡ I¡. not¡. dead?¡°, Samuel found himself drifting in darkness. He tried to open his eyes but couldn¡ät. Furthermore, he didn¡ät even breath¡ "Am I in a coma? The shot should have killed me though, I saw the gun barrel¡ It was perfectly aimed at my chest¡°, he couldn¡ät think of a possibility how he could have survived. Suddenly there was a movement, it pushed him somewhere. Samuel tried to move, but his whole body felt numb. Out of the blue he could see and hear, but what he saw startled him. He looked directly in the eyes of a young woman. "Whaaaa!¡°, he screamed out of shock, but the scream sounded like the cry of a baby. The woman shouted: "It is a girl!¡° Samuel tried to move his neck and hoped the girl would enter his field of vision too, but she didn¡ät¡ Then he realized it, he was reborn like in one of those webnovels he occasionally read in his free time and the darkness in which he floated a while before was actually his mother¡äs womb. "Wait a second, did she shout: "It¡äs a girl!¡°?¡ that means I have switched my gender, interesting.¡°, Samuel thought to himself. Once again, his curiosity didn¡ät know its borders. In his past life he enjoyed only training more than new experiences. That was the reason why he practically trained in every existing martial art. Training and new experiences were the perfect combination. He was literally addicted. But he never had a girlfriend because of his eccentric training sessions. It was not like he had no luck with women, it was quite the opposite. After all, he was a martial artist with a trained body, had a handsome face and was gentle. The only problem was that he had no time for something like a girlfriend, probably he even developed something like asexuality after a while. His substitute therefor was training again. His master always teased him with that. One time at a tournament he even had a sign on which stood: "The champion is single, go catch him!¡° "Ah, I think I am going to miss this old man...¡° Besides his master, he had no relationships which really meant something to him. Of course he had colleagues at work and some connections with his school friends. But those could he cut off without a second thought. "I will go and bring His Majesty.¡°, said the woman. Samuel was handed over to another woman who laid on the only bed in the whole room. The room was rather big and was equipped with furniture which looked antique. There was the flair oft the middle ages present. Samuel¡äs train of thought was interrupted as he looked at the woman which held him at the moment. "This must be my mother, she¡äs rather a beauty.¡°, Samuel thought. "Oh, wait¡ Did the lady say His Majesty? Does that mean I am kind of a princess?¡° His mother was curvy and had long blonde hair, which reached down to her bosom, warm light blue eyes, a little nose, gorgeous lips and a pale skin. The queen stroke Samuels fluffy hair and smiled gentle and exhausted of the birth: "Hello my little daughter¡, look over here.¡° Samuel was currently observing the room again when his mother wanted his attention. Out of nowhere a little ball of light appeared and stopped before Samuel¡äs face. Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. "Waauuuu!¡°, Samuel shouted amazed. "Is this magic? I scanned the room in order to find something magical because I thought it might exist. After all, it¡äs a middle age setting.¡° His mother smiled at him and giggled a little bit as he tried to catch the little ball with his tiny hands. At that moment a tall, handsome man opened the door and stormed at the side of the bed. His hair was brown, his eyes were as blue as the ocean and his skin was tanned. If someone had to answer what his job was, everybody would say he`s a fisherman, without a doubt. "Oh, this is my little cutie?¡°, the king snatched his daughter from his wife and tickled Samuel. "Dear, don¡ät stress Liticiya that much.. She hasn¡ät even eaten yet. Samuel, now Liticya, reacted to the keyword and realised that she was very hungry. Like every normal baby she started to cry. Liticiya¡äs father hurriedly handed her back to her mother. And Liticiya started to drink breast milk. Afterwards, she felt relieved and was really, really tired. With those conditions at hand, she naturally fell asleep soon. "Dear, look, her sleeping face is really cute.¡°, said the queen who held the sleeping Liticiya in her hands. "Yeah, it is.¡°, answered the smiling king. As soon as Liticiya woke up, she was hungry again. First she tried to stand up, but as soon as she remembered that she was a baby, she started to cry. Her mother didn¡ät even need a minute before she charged into the room to feed her. Liticiya savoured the milk and when she was finished she burped. Her mother had to chuckle. Afterwards the queen remained at Liticyia¡äs side and played with her until she became tired again. "A life as a baby is rather easy¡°, thought Liticiya. "I would like to train soon, in order to turn out as a genius, like in those novels.¡° But her body didn¡ät play along. She was after all a baby and had to sleep a lot. The next time she regained her consciousness was in the middle of the night, normal babies would cry because of fear. But Liticiya intended to find the energy which enabled the ball of light her mother had shown her before. She entered a state of meditation like in her previous life and tried to sense something like an energy in the room. First of all she had to find out if this magic works with mana or such things like soul power. At daybreak Liticyia was finally able to find out how magic works. It was something like soul power and not the classic mana. In the region around her heart ,she sensed something like an orb which vaguely looked like a cage, therefor she named it soul cage. The soul cage was colored like a rainbow and greedily absorbed the energy which Liticiya transported near it. The feeling of accomplishment made her thoughts go hazy and she eventually fell asleep. She woke up as she was hungry again, she started to cry for her mother. The queen immediately came running and fed her. Apparently she wanted a daughter since her first child but never got one. That was the reason she doted on Liticiya that much. Her mother talked about a lot of stuff with her, although she shouldn¡ät understand a word. The queen mentioned that tomorrow the 3 princes will pay a visit. "I think that will be funny¡¡° ______________________________________________ The weekend was boring so I wrote the first chapter (second if you count the prologue) today. The next chapter is going to be released next week. Chapter 2 - Princes Author¡äs note: I will use ¡ä for thoughts. I think that will make it more readable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like Liticiya¡äs mother said today her 3 elder brothers paid her a visit. Unfortunately, they interrupted her wonderful sleep. `Okay, baby-mode on. In my last live I would always be recommended for the main role of the school theatre plays, my acting was always top notch.¡ä As soon as they entered the door the tallest said: "Be a little more silent, you wouldn¡ät want to wake her up, would you?" "Of course not, but look Lucas she is already awake..", said the boy who looked like the second prince. "Aawwa", she greeted the three people who had entered. The youngest, who looked like 10 charged at the side of her bed immediately. He began to tickle his sister and she had to laugh out loud: "Whaaahaa", or if you can say that such a sound is a laugh. The oldest guy spoke to the one who tickled her: "Ah, James stop bullying your little sister. She doesn¡ät look happy at all." In her mind the princess thanked Lucas for stopping James. Apparently James is jealous that their mother¡äs whole attention is directed at her. Seconds later Liticiya was in the hands of Lucas and was caressed by his left hand. The little girl unintentionally smiled at him and acted like a spoiled kitten. "Alexander, come over here. Take a look at your sister", the second prince moved and looked her directly in the eyes. The little girl didn¡ät understand his intention, but his gaze was really uncomfortable. So she pushed him away with her tiny hands. Lucas smiled and had to giggle at his sister¡äs action. `I am cute right? A future king as a supporter is always a good thing.¡ä Liticiya acted as sweet as possible to her brother in order to gain a loyal protector. Later a young lady entered the room. "Ah, Roselia. Come over here, don¡ät be shy. Your sister-in-law is too cute." "Yeah, yeah, I am coming.", the lady was seemingly Lucas fianc¨¦e and would become the future queen. The crown prince Lucas had an aura around him, which said: "Don¡ät look at me, you are not worthy." But despite his arrogant aura he was really friendly and by far the nicest of the three brothers. You know the term: "Don¡ät judge a book by its cover", it really suited him. Everyone thought he will become a good king. Lucas is going to celebrate his 17 birthday this year. He looked like a younger copy of his father. Same stature, same skin color, same hair, same face, there was only a slight difference between the two and that was the color of his eyes. They were light blue, like his mother¡äs. The fianc¨¦e¡äs name is Roselia. Her father is the king of a neighboring country. She is the same age as Lucas and as friendly as him. Her hair is platinum blonde and her face properties are well arranged too. Big green eyes, a small nose and a little mouth. Her body wasn¡ät as curvy as the one of Liticiya¡äs mother, but she had yet time to grow. The second prince was named Alexander. He was currently 15 years old and looked like a hybrid between his mother and father. He had the hair of the king, but the skin color of his mother. His face also looked rather feminine. Despite his looks he wasn¡ät good with children at all. James, the third prince, was 11 years old. He had his features majorly inherited from his father, although his hair was blonde. He was rather bothersome and the princess hoped she wouldn¡ät have much to do with him in the future. After circa 2 hours playing with their little sister and chatting they left again. Liticiya had to admit that her knowledge benefited from their visit. Especially the conversation between the first and the second prince. First, they talked a little bit about the kingdom in which she lived in and later about their individual tricks regarding cultivation. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. Liticiya was the first princess of the Justoria Kingdom. It¡äs a kingdom which is situated on the sea and trades with exotic products from far away continents and countries. On those continents live people equal to something like a demon race and other fantasy creatures. Why don¡ät they live on here you might ask? Well, after a thousand years of persecution by the holy church they became extinct. Of course, some immigrated again, but only the Justoria kingdom provides equal rights for them. The content of the conversation regarding cultivation widened the little princess understanding greatly. First of all there are several techniques and both of her brothers trained in another one. The second prince trains in a cultivation method called [Intermediate Royal Technique]. This method is based on letting the energy rotate in ones soul cage and emitting ones soul energy galvanic and concentrated on one spot. Apparently the core really is named soul cage, the first cultivator must have had the same thought as Liticiya. Techniques with the same basics as this one were the most common among nobles. In contrary to Alexander¡äs method, Lucas¡ä technique is based on circulating it in the whole body and emitting it equally and strengthening the muscles and bones. Lucas only trains in this technique because he is a talent which only appears once in a millennium. Of course he is also profound in magic, which he uses to clad his sword in flames or strengthening his skin further with earth magic. He trains in the [Intermediate Close Combat Royal Technique], due to the long name it got a shortened name which is [ICCRT]. Techniques with the same basic principle would usually be trained by soldiers and commoners. In simple terms: Alexander is a mage who deals damage through magic and the like and Lucas is a magic knight who acts as a vanguard with his strong physique. But despite their different roles. Some training methods are similar therefor they talked about things like breathing techniques, meditation positions and how they attract the energy in the most effective way. After the royal family members left Liticiya cried for her mother. But against her expectations not her mother entered the room, but a young lady who introduced herself as Amelia. She said that the queen is occupied and every time that happens, she will feed her instead. Amelia was small, really small. If she would want to enter a high school, nobody would believe her that she was old enough. But despite her small stature, her breasts were fully developed. `She¡äs a legal loli¡ä, Liticiya chuckled in her mind. The wet nurse had black hair and dark brown eyes and a small nose and mouth. Liticiya frowned at the thought how busy her mother must be. On the first day she witnessed the intense parental love which came from the queen and already knew that she would get spoiled rotten. After the meal Amelia left again and Liticiya began her training and tried the things her brothers mentioned. `Wow, this simple things have such an impact on the absorption?¡ä, the baby princess was shocked. Her cultivation has improved drastically from yesterday and with the breathing techniques it was not as exhausting as before. Afterwards, she fell asleep peacefully. Chapter 3 - Five Year Old Before a mirror stood a five year old girl. In her right hand she held a brush and in her left was a streak of her glossy, shoulder-long brown hair. She admired herself through the mirror and prepared herself for the day. Her face looked like that of her mother, light blue eyes, a small nose and mouth. Of course her skin was as white as milk too. `Hmm, looks good. Well then, let¡äs go.¡ä, the little girl thought to herself. She walked out of her fancy room with a nice arrangement of furniture. The princess¡ä room was of course wide and high. There was a double bed which looked really princess like with its pink bed sheet, the mirror with a cupboard and a fancy wardrobe. The window offered a view inside the courtyard of the castle and the carpeted floor was fluffy and felt good between one¡äs toes. "Good morning, Daddy, Mommy, Lucas, Roselia, Alexander and James!¡°, the princess happily shouted throughout the dining room. "Good morning Liticiya. How are you doing today?¡°, the queen asked. "Lucia, you only have to look at her. She is doing fine.¡°, Charles, the king, replied before Liticiya could even speak a word. "Come here Liticiya. I am going to feed you again.¡°, Lucas, her older brother, offered her to feed her. Over the last 5 years he grew really attached to his sister, because of her cute acting in his presence. "Sure, I am coming! And hopp!¡°, Liticiya jumped at Lucas lap and waited for him to feed her with his fork. "Here you go.¡°, Lucas shoved some eggs from his plate and put them into his little sister¡äs mouth. "Mhh¡ They are so tasty. Hey, Hey, brother will you teach me to read today too?¡°, Liticiya stared at Lucas with upturned eyes full of expectations. In the last 5 years Liticiya noticed that the characters in this world were different than those in her previous life and in order to read the instructions on cultivation techniques she had to read. Thus she persuaded Lucas to teach her. At this cute expression Lucas scratched his head and said embarrassedly: "O-of course, visit me later in my room.¡° Everyone else in the room had to giggle at the sweet interaction between those two and finally Lucas noticed the strange atmosphere. "What¡äs the matter?¡° "It¡äs so funny Lucas how you talk to your younger sister and in contrast to everyone else. If you are with her you look like you have become a father recently and with anybody else you act unapproachable and majestic.¡°, Alexander smirked. "Yeah, your brother¡äs right. You are not even so nice to me. Even though I am your wife¡¡°, Roselia pouted a bit to tease Lucas. The both of them are married for 3 years and have a good relationship towards each other. A little bit shocked at Roselia¡äs reaction he hurriedly said: "No no, we will go to town today and I will buy you some jewellery.¡° "You said you would teach me to read today!¡°, Liticiya mumbled with teary eyes and buried her head inside Lucas chest. The first prince looked startled, he blundered himself into trouble and looked helpless towards someone who could help him. "Ah, I will teach Liticiya how to read and you can go with Roselia for a stroll in the town.¡°, the queen said and twinked at her son. Relieved Lucas said: "You hear it Roselia, we will go to town after the breakfast. And Liticiya, come on I will teach you tomorrow, but now eat up.¡° "Sure, sure. Feed me!¡°, the little girl immediately recovered and wiped the tears from her acting out of her eyes and looked towards her mother. `Even if Lucas can¡ät help me, there is my mother.¡ä, she was truly blessed with her family. Everyone was nice to her and she hadn¡ät to worry about any life necessities like in her last life. She truly enjoyed her new life and the child life she couldn¡ät live before. Later Liticiya entered the royal library where her mother waited for her. "Come over here Liticiya. I have already found a good book.¡°, the queen waved towards her daughter. "A book about cultivation?!¡°, Liticiya excitedly asked. "No, I know you are obsessed with cultivating, but you know that you are only allowed to start cultivating at the age of 6. Before that it is too dangerous because the mind isn¡ät developed enough.¡° This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it That didn¡ät matter for Liticiya of course, she was after all mentally an adult. So she did something like cultivating every evening. "I will read about a war between humanity and the beasts which happened over thousand of years ago. Afterwards, I will teach you the characters seriously.¡°, the queen declared and was proud at her own motherly instincts to read this classic tale for her daughter. Unmoved, but also a bit curious Liticiya answered: "¡ Please begin to read.¡° "Sit on my lap, then it is possible to read with me. Well then, I will begin. Thousand of years ago the demonic beasts on this continent had a leader and were united. They were ferocious and killed every human they would see. Every single town would see its demise in front of the amount of attacking beasts. But eventually the holy church came into existence. At those times they weren¡ät the church you know from today, back then they were an elite army of priests. Finally, humans were able to win against the demonic beasts and drive them back into the woods, where they came from. After many battles, a single man split off from the priests¡ä main force and defeated the leader of the beasts who was a gigantic black dragon. The dragon lived inside a cave and commanded from there every living beast. When the leader was killed the beasts fell into disorder and were easily wiped out by the priests. The man who killed the dragon was afterwards revered as a hero.¡° `Looks like a classic fairy tale, I would say. Nothing really surprising happens¡¡ä, Liticiya almost yawned, but concentrated herself again to decipher the strange characters in the book. Although the story was finished her mother didn¡ät stop talking. "Well, if you read between the lines you will find out interesting things like that the priests back then were unfortunately extremely fanatic. Don¡ät ever dare to say that in the presence of a priest. The church wasn¡ät satisfied with the demise of the demon beasts. Every race who didn¡ät worship their four major gods had to die. Thus the demons, elves and dwarfs were hunted all over the continent and tortured until their death. Finally they fled over the sea. Nowadays the holy church is a peaceful organisation, but still discriminates against every other race than humanity. All nations on this continent are backed by the church, but fortunately former kings of our Justoria Kingdom were able to negotiate with the church about the discrimination and were able to strike down a deal with them. Thus, our kingdom was able to establish a law which allows other races to live normally. Naturally, not everybody thinks of them as equals which keeps the immigration rate incredibly low. Furthermore the demons, elves and dwarfs hate us for what we humans have done to them and some are extremely aggressive towards us. The demons have established their own kingdoms on their continent and occasionally raid seatowns with their marine. Moreover no human was ever able to enter their territory and come back alive. Their kingdoms¡ä securities are fantastic. Trade with products only happens in the regions near the harbor of the cities which are on the seaside. Those cities were never left by a human alive before. The elves and dwarfs are rather mysterious races. Both live in seclusion, the elves in the forests and the dwarfs in the mountain ranges. Occasionally a tool made by a dwarf would be bought by a merchant overseas and then shipped back home. Those lucky merchants can after they sold the weapon live a carefree life. By the way, in the royal treasury we have a sword from the demon continent.¡° `Wow, this is interesting. I should definitely read books regarding geographical and political issues too when I am able to read.¡ä, the little girl found an interest in the history of the continent and the other races. "Well, I went a bit overboard. I love history, but enough already. I am now going to teach you the characters. Look and listen carefully.¡° "Alright, mommy.¡°, Liticiya answered full of vigor. Chapter 4 - Meeting The Master As soon as the sun rose over the horizon a little girl jumped happily out of her bed. `Hurray, I am finally 6 years old¡ä, Liticiya immediately started to dress herself. Today would be the day she could start to cultivate in public and get access towards the cultivation section of the library. `Hmm, where is it?¡ä, when she wanted to comb her hair, she couldn¡ät find her dearest brush. "Ouch!¡°", Liticiya tripped over something, landed on the floor and screamed out in pain. The object she fell over was the brush. She bit herself on her lips to stop herself from starting to cry and picked the brush up with teary eyes. The scream could be heard throughout the whole corridor and logically someone heard it. The door was pushed open and a man stormed in. "What happened Liticiya?!", Lucas saw his little sister sitting on the floor with tears in her eyes. "I fell over¡ You don¡ät have to worry¡", the little princess was a bit dazed that her older brother charged into her room in an instant. Somebody has to know that his room was located on the other side of the castle and it should take him at least 10 minutes with his body enhancements due cultivation to come here. "Puh, I am relieved¡", he picked his sister up and snatched her the brush away. "Lucas! Give me my brush back!", Liticiya tried to grab the brush put couldn¡ät reach it. "Ha, don¡ät get angry. I only wanted to comb your hair¡", Lucas reassured the girl and put her on his lap. He himself sat down on her bed. He started to make her hair, which he had taken a liking to. Lucas often stated that he would like to have somewhat longer hair too, but wasn¡ät allowed as prince because it would damage his reputation. Men with long hair were normally derided within Justoria, thus the only men who had long hair were beggars. "Hmm, okay¡ However, how have you come so quickly into my room?", the princess eventually asked the question she wanted to ask all along. "Ah, the reason was your birthday. I wanted to be the first to congratulate! Happy Birthday!", the first prince smiled at her and answered the question. "Wait?! You stood before my door all the time just in order to be first?" "Sure. And now come eating I already finished making your hair. Everybody is waiting." At the time the gigantic dining room came into Liticiya¡äs view it was possible to see a large, red banner swaying in the air on which stood: "Happy Birthday Liticiya!" "Happy Birthday!", the moment the little girl entered wholly everyone inside congratulated her. "Thank you!", the princess shouted back and ran towards the table. A large variety of plates with a lot of different meals were lined up on top of it and every single was one of Liticiya¡äs favourite foods. She unintentionally had to swallow. `The cooks had to awake quite early today it seems. I have to thank them afterwards.¡ä Despite that she would be spoiled rotten Liticiya never lost the gratitude towards everything she would get. Whenever the cooks made her favourite food she would naturally enter the kitchen after the meal and thank everybody. Naturally, she became quite familiar with the castle personal for such actions and some cooks even tried to teach her some things regarding cooking. First Liticiya wasn¡ät interested at all, but after a while she gradually became. Nowadays she would visit the kitchen on Friday to learn cooking from Niclas, the best cook in the castle. Those cooking lessons were naturally held in secret, who has yet heard of a princess with cooking skills. "Come over here Liticiya. I have already arranged a plate full of your favourites.", the queen said to her daughter, which ran over and sat down beside her. "Thank you mommy." Liticiya had started to look around in order to search for the presents which were numerous each year. The queen naturally saw her daughter¡äs wandering gaze and chuckled: "Haha, do you remember last year? You didn¡ät eat anything because you were so occupied with the toys. So today we hid them away and will give you them afterwards." "Ah, that¡äs the reason I couldn¡ät find them." "Enjoy your meal!", Alexander said loud in order to accelerate the time he had to spend with breakfasting. He became an odd ball in the last year and had very little time for anything. He rejected every fianc¨¦e his parents tried to introduce to him even before meeting them. The reason was that a year before Alexander got to know an extremely skilled alchemist. The alchemist was in search for a disciple and luckily Alexander crossed his path. Alexander found out that he had quite the talent in alchemy and asked if he could become his disciple, the alchemist master naturally didn¡ät refuse because of the second prince¡äs natural talent and wealth. Alexander devoted himself fully to alchemy and even stopped cultivating and learning magic. He closed himself up inside his room for the last two months and nobody really knew what he was doing. Everyone started to eat and soon interesting conversations began to start. "Say James, how is the sect you entered last year? It¡äs the first time we talk for a long time after all.", Lucas asked. "Yeah, pretty okay, I guess. It¡äs not really special¡ As you all know I wasn¡ät able to get into the top sects because of my below-average cultivation talent¡", James answered a bit depressed. Last year his cultivation talent was tested and third prince¡äs motivation was low afterwards. He was always overactive and ran around the whole day, but after the test he laid down on his bed most the time and even gained a bit weight. Everyone worried about him, but luckily he realized that fleeing from reality was no solution to his problem, he started learning and reading books about all kinds of different stuff. His new plan for his future is to become a scholar to help Lucas with the governmental affairs in the future. Thus he visits a school focusing on education. Interestingly, James has an inborn talent for all those things, which nobody had thought of him. Nevertheless, he had yet to overcome the shock of not being able to cultivate to a high realm¡ "Hmm, I am happily awaiting your support when I become king", Lucas smiled and tried to cheer him up, he knew exactly how handy James would become in the future. "Ah, now that you mention it. I will soon retire, haha.", the King laughed heartily. Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. "You have still have to reign for 5 years, don¡ät get negligent Charles..", the queen reminded him gently. "Yeah, yeah. I know Lucia¡" "And how is your alchemy going Alexander?", Lucia tried to bind her son into a conversation. So far he only sat in his chair and ate carefully with grace. "So so.", was the only thing she received as an answer. "You have to answer a bit more. We finally sit together as a family, but you exclude yourself..", the queen was resilient and wanted to chat with him. "Yes, ma¡äam.. I am learning more and more day by day¡" "¡", Lucia rolled her eyes and gave up on beginning a proper talk with him. `Hehe, his conversation skills have declined drastically since last year. That reminds me of that loner who always read in the library. Library¡, there was something¡Ah, now I remember I should ask when I can leave and search in for cultivation manuals.¡ä, those thoughts came into Liticiya¡äs mind. "Mommy? Can I go to the library to read?" "Have you already forgotten your presents? Ah, you want to read about cultivation. Am I right?", her mother smiled wryly. "Oh, the presents¡ When can I open them?" "Are you finished with eating? If you are I will call the butler to bring them in." "Yes, I am!", Liticiya shouted vigorously. "Haha, look at your plate. There is still something left. Eat up, afterwards you will see your presents.", the queen chuckled because she knew exactly how Liticiya would react beforehand. After the little girl emptied her plate a large, wooden cart was pulled in the room which was loaded with packages. The princess walked towards the cart, picked one package and tore it open. Inside was a brush made of wood. The woodwork was fantastic and the brush was rounded up with several stunning jewels. Lucas stood behind his sister and patted her head: "That¡äs my present. I spent a fortune on it. A elven handworker has made this brush, it is hardly possible to get something made by elves. The wood is equally rare, it is from a large tree in the great Elven forests which grows only one centimeter a year." "Lucas, you dote on your sister too much. Even I haven¡ät gotten something so costly the entire time we were married.", Roselia teased her husband again. That would happen everytime Lucas spoiled his sister. `Oh, something made by elves. It looks fantastic, Lucas knew exactly what would please me, hehe.¡ä "Thank you brother.", the princess turned around and smiled at the first prince. After a while only 2 packages were left, all others were torn open and the contents laid on the large table. `Hm, this present is unusual. A little, triangular box. Let¡äs open it and look at its insides.¡ä The moment Liticiya opened the box a penetrating medicinal scent could be smelled by everyone present. The little girl distorted her face, held her nose with her tiny fingers and asked in disgust: "What¡äs that?" "Ah, that¡äs my present.", Alexander answered. Everyone turned shocked at Alexander and the queen asked: "Do you want to kill your sister with that stench bomb? It¡äs disgusting!" "Nono, calm down mother¡ That is my new creation. You know, I spent around two months developing these pills. They make it possible to cultivate at an astonishing speed. Well.. you see¡ I heard that Liticiya wanted to cultivate¡ so I made up my mind¡ and put my heart into the preparation for her birthday present.", Alexander scratched his head and smiled a little bit embarrassed. `Hee, I wondered myself that my cute acting never worked on him. But now it looks like it shows effects too, hehe.¡ä "Haha, I never would have thought that you would care so much about your sister.", Lucas smirked. The first prince remembered the times Alexander laughed at him because of his overprotective nature towards Liticiya. Now was his time for revenge. "Yeah¡", Alexander couldn¡ät say something back and endured Lucas¡ä laughter. Finally, it was the time for the last present, which was a letter. The girl took it, tore it open and read the content. When she finished, she turned around and looked at the grinning James which only said: "Enter!" Soon the wooden door at the side of the dining hall opened and a little woman entered. `Huh, I know that woman. Is she Amelia? 5 years ago, she left suddenly, why is she back?¡ä, the princess was stunned at the sight of her acquaintance. "Liticiya, that is Amelia. You won¡ät remember her, but she was your wet nurse. She is an old friend of mine and a very strong cultivator. She will guide you into the world of cultivation. This was James proposal, you have to thank him.", the queen said and looked a little proud of her son who was a good-for-nothing before. `Strong cultivator?! Who would have thought that¡¡ä Amelia smiled like an innocent girl and said overfamiliar: "We meet again Liticiya." This sentence finally freed Liticiya from within her mind and she hurriedly replied: "Nice to meet you." "Well then, you two. Liticiya you probably want to learn immediately. Am I right?", the king asked. "Yes! Absolutely!" "Haha, I knew it. That was also the reason why we ate before you could open the presents, otherwise it would have been impossible to prevent you from starving." "Follow me Liticiya. I will bring you to the library. There I can teach you the best.", Amelia said and exited through the door. The princess ran after her and soon only six persons were left in the room. "Hopefully she isn¡ät crippled like me¡", James sighed. "That would be truly hard for her, she is even more eager to cultivate than you were..", Lucas answered worriedly. "Naa, don¡ät be so pessimistic. I am sure she will shock the world as a cultivator.", Alexander said. "You are equally worried as us. Don¡ät try to sound cool Alexander.", Lucas smirked at him. ________________________________________________________________________ Author¡äs note: I am really sorry for the delay. Last week was the most troublesome week I had this entire year. Thus I couldn¡ät find any time to write... Chapter 5 - Knowledge The door of the library opened and a little woman with a girl entered. Eduard, the librarian, looked up from the book in his hands and greeted both. Afterwards he cast his glance downwards again. "Hey, Eduard. Could you give us the key for the cultivation section?", asked Amelia and smiled at the man. "Sure, wait a second.", without looking up from his book he opened a drawer and handed Amelia the key. "Thanks. See you.", Amelia turned around and headed into the labyrinth made of bookshelves. "You are welcome." The little princess followed her guide through the library past hundreds of bookshelves and millions of books within them. "You seem quite familiar with the librarian. Is there a reason?", the girl asked interested. "You mean Eduard? You know, he was my junior.", Amelia winked at Liticiya. "Oh, really. He isn¡ät very talkative. He always only answers with the minimum required words." "Haha, he was always like that, don¡ät think to much about it." As soon as they passed the history and geographic section Liticiya turned around and wanted to head inside unconsciously. After she learned reading she wanted to learn more about the continent, or rather the other races. Unfortunately, there really was extremely meager information about those races. Almost everything she found in the entire library was told her by her mother already. Actually, nobody knew anything about Pandonica, the demon continent, not even how big it was. The powers of the demon race were unknown too, every single demon who immigrated to Justoria had her or his powers sealed. Some people said that those are actually no emigrates, but exiled ones. The only thing Liticiya found out was that the demons started their raids 5 years ago and would come in fixed intervals, but nobody could stop them. A war report from 4 years ago showed a disastrous defeat at the side of the human forces. Thus the humans had to endure and flee as soon as possible if a black ship could be seen on the horizon. Also, nearly every demon who had immigrated fled into the mountains, because they feared they would be accused of something. Unfortunately, they were right, the demons who didn¡ät leave were mostly interrogated and afterwards executed, because they could be spies. Only the bravest human merchants dared to trade with the demons since the first raid, but those who had the courage and were successful could make unbelieveable profits. Nobody knew why the demons havn¡ät run over the entire continent yet, it was almost as they only needed the humans and a lot of creepy stories originated from gossiping. Like the demons would torture the humans and ate their agonised souls. Of course Liticiya was interested in this and couldn¡ät think of any particular reason why the demons would do these things. She naturally wanted to find it out for herself, but she knew that she wouldn¡ät have the slightest chance to survive there if she traveled now. Since she couldn¡ät find anything about the other races and had much free time, she began to study the continent she lives on, the major kingdoms and empires and naturally common sense. Every country was hierarchically structured. The nobles could do almost everything they wanted to the commoners. Other than her former world democracy didn¡ät exist, slaves were also natural. Her own kingdom was a small one. It had three neighboring countries, two in the north and one in the east. In the north, on the left side there is the Opalia Kingdom. The Opalia Kingdoms is twenty times as big as the Justoria Kingdom. It¡äs known as the most powerful kingdom on the entire continent and had a history which goes back to the beginnings of humanity. The country is famous for their vast wilderness and mountain ranges which is inhabited by wyverns and few dragons. The military even established a wyvern squad, they tried to tame the more intelligent dragons too but failed. Another famous thing about the country is that it is the origin of the hunter guild which had branches in every bigger city. The hunter guild is for cultivators who want to live on their own, independend from a country or a sect. The guild offers them jobs such as monster subjugations and securing the safety of merchants. The last mentionable thing was the Worldtree sect ,a sect for the geniuses of the geniuses. Every royal family wants their children to enter this sect. Every year there is an entrance exam which is made up of three different tests, nobody knows beforehand. Only one percent of the participants are able to pass the first one of those three tests and in the end it is not rare that no one is able to enter, it isn¡ät even rare that no one enters for a decade. This sect was naturally Liticiya¡äs dream institute, like everyone elses. Fortunately Opalia had a friendly relationship with Justoria stabilized through the economy. Justoria had great interest in Opalia¡äs metals, because Justoria had no mountains and Opalia was interested in the sea products and the occasionally traded products from the demons. The relationship is even more firm since Roselia has become Lucas wife. Roselia is the third daughter of the reigning king. On the right side in the north is the Fortress Empire. This empire doesn¡ät have deep roots on the continent. It rose to its power as the second most powerful country in the last three centuries. The former emperor started from a little fortress inside a forest, where the capital is now located, and expanded the territory rapidly. The name itself never changed and is the legacy of the first emperor. Under the reign of the second emperor the expansion didn¡ät stop, but not too soon, some people began to revolt and tried to get their countries back. Thus the emperor had to concentrate himself on those matters too, and the waging of wars began to stagnate. Since the grandson of the first emperor has taken over the throne the wars stopped completely, because he made domestic affairs his first priority. The territory of the empire consists of a great desert with a gigantic oasis, a forest and a plain with a lot of lakes. On the oasis there are several towns located. Each one prospers from a particular desert beast, which is raised as livestock. These beast¡äs meat is precious for cultivators and under the circumstances that humans are able to rise the beasts, the meat is much less costly than other meat of the same quality. In the east there is the Lieon Kingdom. It is as big as Justoria, maybe a bit bigger. That Kingdom and the Justoria Kingdom are like peas and carrots. The current kings are childhood friends and consult each other over every important matter. Even Liticiya¡äs mother is a princess of Lieon, thus the king of Lieon is her father¡äs brother-in-law. Stolen novel; please report.Naturally there are some other little kingdoms far up in the north where the snow never melts, but those are rather unattractive and unimportant. The cultivation section was separated from the rest of the library through a locked door, so that Liticiya was unable to enter. "Here we are.", Amelia put her hand inside her pocket, pulled the key out and unlocked the door. As soon as the door swung open Liticiya stormed inside and looked up at the gigantic bookshelf which was decorated with extremely exquisite ornaments. "Which one can I pick? Which one is the best?",Liticiya immediately asked, but when she turned around her body stiffened. Amelia¡äs aura had turned to that of a predator who had found its prey and would jump on it anytime. But her facial expression didn¡ät match at all, she had a smile over her whole face. `Is she an assassin?! No, she emits no killing intent..¡ä Nevertheless Liticiya¡äs mind went blank under Amelia¡äs aura. "Ehh, Amelia?" Then Amelia leaped forwards, but instead of death¡äs embrace the little girl found herself in Amelia¡äs. "Ah, I can finally cuddle you." Liticiya didn¡ät know what happened anymore, seconds before she almost produced a puddle because of the suppressing tension, but know the atmosphere was as pink as possible. "You have grown so much. I can remember every single time I fed you. That time you were so cute and now you have become even cuter.", Amelia rubbed her cheek against Liticiya¡äs and rolled with her on the floor. As soon as the little girl regained her composure, she tried to push Amelia away from her to stop the almost deadly embrace which got tighter from second to second. "Hmm, why are you trying to push me away?" "I..I..ca..n`t..br..ea..t..h.", the little girl somehow managed to choke those words out. The moment Amelia heard Liticiya¡äs words she immediately let her go and put on a worried expression. "I am so sorry. I was just so happy to see you again. I had to work and missed you so much. I went overboard¡" "It¡äs¡okay..now.", Liticiya breathed heavily. `Amelia behaves like a child who found a toy.. I hope it doesn¡ät end up to the point where I have to dress myself up like a doll¡¡ä "Ah, well. I think we should start with a basic technique created for royalty.", said Amelia who still looked worried. As soon as Liticiya heard what Amelia said she looked up with expectations. "Hmm, where are those again? Ah, there. Liticiya, can you see the book with the red cover. That one is the one we need." The little girl tried to reach the book, but it was located to high to take it. "I can¡ät reach it. I am too small¡" "Oh, let me pull it out of the bookshelf. Step aside.", when Amelia tried to reach the book she realized that she was too small too and scratched her head embarassed: "Wait a second, I will carry the ladder over here." Liticiya, in the meanwhile, tried her best not to burst out in laughter. `Haha, the facial expression of her in the moment she realized she can¡ät reach it too.¡ä Finally, Amelia reached the book and pulled it out, then she said: "Let us sit down over there Liticiya, I already prepared a nice spot to learn yesterday." The woman pointed with her index finger at a big, white, fluffy cushion which laid in the corner of the room. Both sat down, but Amelia lifted her off the ground and sat her on her lap and began to cuddle her again. Then she almost opened the book when she remembered something. "Well, your mother said that you never ever learned anything about cultivation. Is that right?" "Yes, although I always wanted to learn. She said that my mind wasn¡ät ready¡" "Hmm, that is right. Then I will begin to explain the basics first, afterwards we will start reading. Even though you didn¡ät learn anything regarding cultivation you will probably know the source, the soul cage. Am I right?" "Yeah, that much I know." "Well, first of all humans can control up to 4 elements, fire, earth, air and water. Commoners are only able to control one element each. Normally a child of a commoner will inherit the element of the mother if the child is a girl and the element of the father if the child is a boy, but it happens rarely that the child inherits both elements. Then it is highly likely that he or she will get adopted by a noble family. Nobles are able to control up to 3 elements. Normally only dukes and their descendents are able to control 3 elements, but it is possible that a child of a lower noble class inherits 3 elements of its parents. Commonly he or she will marry into a duke¡äs family when he or she will become an adult. The royal families are able to control all 4 elements, like you. They are normally jack of all trades and master of none. If a duke¡äs or noble¡äs son or daughter is born with the control over 4 elements he or she would be able to marry into a royal family, but that never happened in the entire history of the Justoria Kingdom though." Liticiya already furrowed her brows before, but only now Amelia recognised it. "You look like you have a question Liticiya, tell me." "Ehm, why don¡ät the royal family members specialize in one element? Is it not better to have mastered one?" "Hmm¡, well¡, you see, the soul cage¡äs capacity grows exponentially with the mastery you have in one element. Thus a royalty has the natural advantage that his or her soul cage grows much faster than the one of a commoner. In the end a royal family member who hasn¡ät mastered an element has nevertheless more soul power than a commoner with a mastered element." "Okay.., I understand. And what is with body strengthening?" "That is something completely different than the elements and hasn¡ät something to do with you yet. It is harmful for children under twelve years to learn it. Well, I think I mentioned everything you have to know for now. Let¡äs start reading the book." ____________________________________________________________________________ Author¡äs note: If there are more grammatical error as usual don¡ät blame me. I have had a headache this entire week and I am happy to release a chapter at all. A wonderful weekend everyone ;)
