《Failed Suicide》 Chapter 1: Magic? A man with thorn up clothing walked through the rain, stumbling on every step he took. It was pitch black as the man heard the rain hitting the ground. The man was completely wet, his clothes felt like weights. Falling to his knees the man felt weak, he couldn''t deal with it any more. After years he couldn''t do anything, so he resorted to the only thing he knew. The man pushed himself over to a wall where he laid his back up against it. He then reached into his pocket where he felt a metal handle. Pulling the gun out of his pocket he pushed the safety and pulled back the hammer. Placing the barrel up to his temple he could feel the could metal press against his head. The man had already given up on his life, he couldn''t live up to the standers of society. Slowly his grip around the trigger was tighter and tighter, but when the trigger was pulled all the way back... Nothing he couldn''t hear anything, not even the heavy rain smashing against the ground. Instead the sound of rain was replaced with following water. Opening his eyes he saw that it wasn''t even dark anymore, he could clearly see the trees all around him, but last time he checked he wasn''t in a forest. While looking around he noticed another change. No longer did he feel his heavy clothes weighing him down. He felt light as if everything had disappeared. He looked down at his hands, he didn''t see his normal calloused hands instead they were soft and small. As he was looking hair fell in front of his eyes blocking his vision, but he didn''t have long hair. He brushed his hair aside and stood up but felt as he was missing something. Placing his small slender hand in between his legs, he found his manhood was gone. Placing the other hand on his chest he felt a small lump. The man stood in disbelief, one second he was about to commit suicide then next he was girl. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. Remembering the sound he heard earlier of following water he ran towards it to find a river. Looking into the water he saw a girl around the age of eight with long brown hair and green eyes. The girl also had nothing other than a white blouse on. The girl was a beauty but the man was confused, the girl was beautiful but she was him. "What is going on?" The man or now girl curled up as tears followed down here check. "Um, excuse me?" The girl jumped at the voice that came from behind her. She saw a kid around the age of nine holding a bow and a dead rabbit. "Are you okay I heard you crying so I came to see if you were okay. My name is Hans whats your name?" The boy asked. Wiping her tears she said. "Max." "Max, it''s nice to meet you. Do you know where your parents are?" Max shook her head and Hans looked at her. "Well you can''t stay out here, the Demon Beast come out at night it''s best to come back to my village." Hans grabbed Max''s hand and stood her up. He leaded her towards his village. After ten minutes of walking Max cried out in pain as she felt a sting in her foot. "Are you okay?" Hans said with a voice of panic as he then noticed that Max had no shoes on. "Sorry I didn''t notice, here hop on." Hans turn around and bent down, Max hopped on as she couldn''t keep walking through a forest with no shoes on. "Hold on." Hans said as he smiled. "What?" Before Max could say anything else Hans began to run, he was running almost as fast as Usain Bolt. Max was confused, how could a chid run this fast with another person on their back. Max then felt something was off she saw what looked to be wind gathering around Hans'' legs. "Is this magic?" Max said softly to herself. Chapter 2: Arriving at the village After a few minutes Max and Hans arrived at a small gate. "Hans welcome back! How did it go?" The man standing in front of the gate yelled. "Hey Brandon." Hans said as he walked up to the gate. "Who''s that on your back?" "Her, I found her lost in the forest." "Oh." Brandon ran over to Hans to help Max. Hans bent down and let Max off his back. "Ow." Max said as she put her foot on the ground. "Hans you know that you are going to have to take care of her right?" "Yes, of course." Hans stretch out his hand for Max. Max grabbed his hand and Hans lead her through the village. The village was not in the best shape, the farm land looked to lack nutrients, the people looked as if they hadn''t eaten in a while, and the houses looked as if they were hit by a natural disaster. "Stay close to me." Max nodded and pick up the pace to stick closer to Hans. It didn''t take long before they arrived in front of a small wooden home. Hans knocked and yelled. "Dad I''m home!" The door began to rattle as someone opened it. At the doorway stood a man who looked similar to Hans. "Welcome home, who is this?" "Her name is Max. I found her lost in the forest." "Oh, good thing too. It was just about to become night. The Demon Beast become much more active at night, come on in." As they walked in Hans'' father closed the door behind them. "Well Max you can call me James while you are here, and Hans did you catch anything for dinner." "Yep! I caught a rabbit!" "That''s my boy! We eating good tonight! Max feel free to join us, dinner will be ready in a bit." "Thank you." Max said weakly. "Oh yeah Max, you can stay in the guest room last door on right down there." James said. "Thank you." Max said weakly. Max walked over to her room and opened the door. She looked inside and saw a desk, chair and bed. She closed the door and sat down on the bed. Beginning to ponder on what had happened to her. In an alley way then all of a sudden in a forest. From raining to clear skies, and from male to female. Not to mention from 39 to eight years old. Next she began to ponder on what had happened after finding herself in the forest. Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. She was found by a kid around her age and then... Her face began to get red from embarrassment. She shook her head ferociously as she had lost a bit of her pride as a man. "Hey Max!" Hans called from outside of Max''s door. Max jumped up from her seat and her face began to turn slightly red. "Y-yes!" "I finished helping my dad prepare dinner. You wanna play a bit chess while we wait for him to finish cooking." "Uh... Sure!" Max said as she walked over to the door and threw it open causing Hans to be a bit startled. "It seems like you feel a bit better." Max looked at Hans about to say something but then remembered what happened in the forest and quickly turned her head away as she felt her face start to burn. "You can have the first move. If you want." Hans said with a confident smile. "You will regret that descision." Five minutes later. "Check mate." Hans said with a smile. "What! This game is BS!" Max roared. "BS, What does that mean?" "N-nothing, it''s not important." "Dinner''s ready! Tonight we dine like Kings... and Queen." Max shivered a bit as she heard James. James placed three plates on the table that could fit four people and sat in front of a plate. Hans did the same and Max sat in the last open seat. "Okay don''t forget to pray to the gods for the meal." James and Hans bowed their heads and pressed their hands to together. Max copied them until they picked up their heads. "Time to chow down." The two of them began to eat their food quickly as if it was the best food in the world. While Max saw the food and could think of nothing other than how bad it looked. She slowly moved a piece over to her mouth and bite down. The food to her was average at best, but with her stomach empty, she ate the food as if it was the best. The three were finished quickly. "Off too bed you two, and Hans don''t skip school tomorrow. As for you Max we will look more into where you are from." Max shook her head, and Hans ran over to his room. "Night!" Hans yelled. Max walked over to her room and laid down on here bed. She laid her body over the stiff matters. Staring up at the ceiling, she slowly fell asleep. Chapter 3: The Carving Author''s Note: While I was writing this chapter it felt a bit off, but I didn''t want to change it. So I decide to upload what I have so far and see if it was okay or bad. So I am going to ask the people who are going to reading it. Should rewrite it or keep it. PS I don''t know how to make or use a poll, but hopefully it works. Slowly Max awoke. Instead of the normal smell of pollution and loud noises, it was clean and silent. Max quickly remembered what had happened and got up from her bed and left the room. She looked around and only saw James sitting in the kitchen. James was holding a piece of wood in one hand and a knife in the other. "Max your up, Hans is in school right now." Placing the knife and wood on the table he stood up. "Let me get you a cup of water and something to eat." "Thank you." James walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a cup. "I''ll be right back. I need to fill this up from the well." He walked out into the backyard. Max looked at the wood James placed on the table. The wood was carved into the shape of a woman. She looked a lot like Hans in some features. "Is this Hans'' mom?" Max said to herself as she reached out to touch the carving. She lifted the wood up to her face to get a better. The woman looked similar to him for some reason. The door opening interrupted her taught. She quickly placed the carving back onto the table without James noticing. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. James had returned with a cup of water and an apple. "Here you go." "Thank you." Max took the apple and water. She first took a sip of water then a bit out of the apple. James put away the carving and knife then sat down. "So can you tell me where you are from?" Max took a second, and shook her head implying, "no." "Oh." James paused for second. "Well, you can stay here for as long as you need." "Are sure that''s okay. I don''t want to burden you anymore than I already have." "No it''s fine... In fact I would prefer if you stayed. Hans, Hans has been really lonely because he is cold to almost everyone after his mother passed away, but when he is around you, he seems... happy. I don''t want my son to be sad anymore." Max could clearly see James gripping his hand tightly. "So please Max, please help Hans." James bowed his head, and tears fell. Max was a bit confused, what had caused the random burst of emotion. "Okay please don''t cry." "Thank you Max, thank you." James wiped his tears then stood up from his seat. "I''m going to go rest a bit." Max nodded her head. She didn''t notice at first but now she could see the bags under James eyes. "Was he working on the carving all night?" Max quietly said to herself. She stared at James until he entered his room and closed the door. Chapter 3.5: Looking around "Um... What do I do now?" Max said to herself. She looked around the room to find nothing interesting. "Maybe I will walk around the village for a while." Max walked out the front and on to the dirt path leading around the village. She could see clearly that Hans'' home was in a much better condition than the others. She walked out of the residential area and into the industrial one. By industrial it was mainly just a few workshops nothing grand. Inside one of the building she could see and feel the large furnace producing a lot of heat. She waved her hand in front of her face to cool herself down. As she continued to walk she ran into someone familiar. "Oh, its you... The girl that Hans found in the forest. Are you lost again?" Brandon joked while laughing to himself. Max didn''t find it funny but still smiled. "Hi, my name is Max, um, if I remember correctly your name was Brandon?" She said. "Yep that''s my name don''t wear it out." Brandon said with over exaggerated confidence. "By the way what are you doing walking around the village alone. It isn''t safe for a young one such as yourself to be walking around alone without supervision." "I can take care of myself. I don''t need someone to watch me." Max said dead serious but Brandon still took it as a joke and laughed. "Well to be safe I can stay with you until you are finished, today is my day off anyways." Stolen story; please report. Max looked at Brandon quizzically, after all Brandon was still wearing his armor. "You must be wondering why I am wearing my armor still. Well to be honest, I don''t have a life outside of my job. Nearing the age of 25, I can''t believe I still don''t have a wife." Brandon laughed at his own despair. Max couldn''t help but laugh as he had almost the same problem. The two of them walked around the village looking at the shops and then the agriculture. It started out as Brandon following Max around but end up as Brandon being a tour guide for her instead. After a quick hour passed they were about to start walking back to Hans'' home when they heard someone call out to them, more specifically Max. "Max, what are you doing here?" They turned around to see Hans walking fast over to her. "Hi, Hans. I was just looking around the village and Brandon decided to guide me around." Hans gave a quick look at Brandon then back at Max. Max could hear Brandon sigh next to her. "Let''s go back it isn''t safe for you out here." As they were walking away Brandon spoke up. "Hans when are you going to stop blaming everyone in the village for what happened to your mother. There was nothing we could do... There was nothing I could do." Brandon said as he got quieter and quieter until the last sentence couldn''t be heard by Max or Hans.
