《RE: Snake》


 Prologue

    Today was a bad day I decided while laying on the ground dying. I tried to help the poor snake, but it rejected me and bit me. Ah the sky is so blue, but I cant keep my eyes open. Suddenly I heard a man telling me to wake up. Huh didn''t I die.


    " You did" said the man, "but the way you died was extremely unfair since you have cared about snakes all your life it was an injustice to let you die to a snake so I have decided to send you to another world where you will be reborn as a snake. "

    Right after I said those words the man/god guy made some random hand gestures and the world immediately became black again, but I could feel a difference in the surrounding temperature. I tried to move around but I felt like I was in a very small ovular cage. Then I remembered that I was reincarnated as a snake, and what better way to start then as a sad sad little snake. Just from moving around a little I was extremely tired so I decided to take a nap since I have nothing to do.


    Day two


    When I woke up a influx of knowledge suddenly rushed into my brain causing me to get a extreme headache.


    Day three


    Today the headache has subsided, but the knowledge that came with it remains thankfully. Apparently all beasts in this world get it since it comes with their blood line. While sifting through all the knowledge I learned that most beasts are only able to unlock little bits of the knowledge at a time as they get stronger. Beasts and humans alike get stronger by absorbing the natural mana in the air. After a while I came across a message from the god guy, he said that since reincarnating me wasn''t enough he decided to give me some gifts- mind magic- the power to use all types of mana- and a paragon god level mana absorbing technique called  World Snake Asura. I learned that me and my siblings were golden striped medusas, a very rare and powerful snake race, but we usually only became powerful after breaking through to the 100th level.

    Day four


    The next day  I set about testing my telepathic powers. The first thing that I wanted to do was to use it to brainwash my siblings to make them loyal and respectful to me. I used telepathy to send images of me with feelings of care, love, and respect to all of them since they had young undeveloped minds this technique was extremely potent at affecting their feelings toward me. After just 34 repetitions of this whenever I sent a image of me they would always react with love and respect. Even with that I still wasn''t satisfied so I decided to use a spell that will allow me to alter their mind and set restrictions that will cause them to feel immense pain if they think any malicious thoughts toward me. Doing this took up all my mana making me really sleepy.


    Day five


    Apparently exhausting my mana pool causes me to become extremely lethargic until my mana refills to a acceptable level. Today I would begin to train until the 30th level with my World Snake Asura technique.

 Chapter One

    Day 47


    I''ve spent the last 37 days cultivating my mana to the 30th level, which by the way is a prodigious level for a 1 and a half month old beast. According to my memories all newborn beasts in the forest are dumped in the "Nursery", which is basically just a huge survival match. Only those who have reached the 100th level are allowed to leave. Most of the times it takes beasts 40-50 years just to reach the 100th level, but once they reach it their cultivation speed increases rapidly since that is when they inherit the knowledge of their races cultivation technique. I however am a heavens defying being since I have access to all my inherited memories, and I can even teach my siblings our kinds cultivation technique with my mind magic. Now that I have reached the 30th level my mana pool has expanded to the level necessary for me to be able to practice the spells that are in my memory. The skills are fairly basic such as earth spike and fireball, but with these spells my chances of surviving are increased exponentially.


    Day  62


    Its finally hatching day. All 697 of my siblings will hatch, but by the end of the day only 5 will survive or in this case 6 since I plan to encase my egg in earth and just watch the fight. I''ve spent the last 15 days honing the basic spells for earth, fire, darkness, and wind since these elements are the ones I deem most necessary for my survival.


    Day 63


    Yesterday was quite amusing to watch. I mean like just three minutes after they all break out of their shells a ginormous bloodbath ensues as all the little snakes writhe about in a battle for superiority. I feel like a Roman watching the coliseum for the first time. After the five victors remain, I leave me protective shield of earth much to the surprise of my brethren I''m sure. They are mentally and physically exhausted from the fight so I decided to strengthen their attachment to me and create new ones between each other. Of course their attachment to each other would always be secondary to me. Today they have recovered, and I gave them names since they looked up to me. I decided to name them after the Greek Mythololgy since I always loved Greek Mythology. I named them Gaea, Zephyrus, Artemis, Nyx, and Oceanus. Gaea has a major affinity to earth and a minor affinity in life a rare element. Zephyrus has a major affinity to air and a minor affinity to fire. Artemis like her mythological counterpart is a deadly hunter with an affinity to the moon, which means that she can absorb the power of the moonlight making her pretty much invincible in the night against opponents similar to her level. Nyx has a major affinity to darkness and a minor affinity to wind, while Oceanus has a major affinity to water, and a minor affinity to earth. After that I sent them the instructions to Medusa''s War Formula which is our inherited cultivation technique.

    Day 64


    I''m so excited. Today marks the day that I will begin to explore this world. I plan to go hunt a few demonic wind rabbits with my siblings while teaching them strategy at the same time. Most beast are not able to do anything but follow their instinct until they reach level 100, but apparently due to me meddling in their head all of my siblings are able to think freely and execute plans. Right after setting out we came across a meadow filled with demonic wind rabbits sitting there peacefully cannibalizing one of their own. To make it easier for them on their first hunt I raised a wall around the meadow to trap the rabbits. The reason beasts in this world hunt is not for food since absorbing natural mana can sustain you by itself, no it is because inside of every being that cultivates mana resides a mana core that when eaten can help increase the level of the eater. The five of them were able to quickly and efficiently hunt rabbits by surrounding them and then having  Gaea dig underneath the rabbits to surprise it. Somehow Gaea was able to dig efficiently even without the help of earth magic. Goes to show how helpful just having an affinity to a element is. After a successful day of hunting They managed to reach level 15 while I also managed to improve 5 levels to get to the 35th level just from meditating while watching them hunt.
