《Akumi No Hono!》


 chapter 1~kingdom of Flames

    There once was a tale of two people from different worlds, one a normal man from the 21st century, and the other a demonic princess who was born in a world stuck in the past that lived off of magic. the two had met from two unconceived circumstances falling madly in love with each other they would soon wed to each other, that¡¯s how the tale ends,but what had never been told is that the two had conceived a child a child that would grow to obtain great power, that child¡¯s name is Akumi Daiki !


    Morning trip-


    The morning of the first freilonian wars the princess laid in her bed awaking to the sound of her pet karea bird, maro¡¯s squawks.


    ¡°Isako wake up and feed me¡±,maro screeched


    She didn¡¯t even twitch maro then flew over beside her and with a smile he whispered into her ear


    ¡°Your garden is being destroyed ¡±,suddenly she arose with an upright motion sending maro flying into a bag of bird seed.


    ¡°That¡¯s not funny maro, you know that since the wars started that that the other nations were a huge threat to the kingdom!¡±


    She then remembered that the paraleum barrier still protected the kingdom, the barrier made it very difficult for the other nations to raid or pillage.


    She got out of bed and yawned as she filled a tray with bird seed, ¡°I stayed up last night making a new spell, look.


    ¡± she then clapped and chanted,¡±Instant rose water bath.¡± her body turned transparent like water,suddenly it cracked off of her,


    ¡°Now i smell like roses, and have baby soft skin.


    She left her room and all the porters that filled the hallway greeted her while bowing


    ¡°Good morning my lady¡±, speaking in unison.


    she then went to the library and saw her brother,Asura, she ran past him told him that she would be in the garden he smiled and said,"ok" . she went so fast that most people didn¡¯t understand. The only reason that he knew what she had said was the telepathic link that the twins shared. Isako left the castle and went into the gardens that were next to the paraleum flame barrier while tending to the garden and watching the animals, as she did every morning, she saw a beautiful, karea bird, that had a blue and dark crimson plume. She thought to herself that it would probably be the last time that she would get the see her garden and the many animals around her so she followed the bird towards the flame barrier, and it landed on a shrub, and she quickly but quietly went up to it. She then saw a deep cave leading downwards beside the shrub she went inside only to see a sky blue circle on the ground.She was about to turn back to tell her brother but her dress had been caught on a old and snaggly root, she tripped and fell into the portal rushing through an area that looked too have been made of pure madness, she flailed her arms, and cried as she went through the portal!


    New land called city-


    Opening her eyes she realized that she had appeared in a new place there was a sign saying she was near a shrine, she stumbled as she heard the loud noises of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. she walked through the streets with everyone turning to look at her roughed hair and torn dress


    A random guy said to his friend,¡±Dude look that girl is cute, but she looks homeless.¡±


    Turning the corner, she stumbled upon a man who had just walked out from a cafe, the man asked if she was alright because her dress had been torn. He asked her if she was alright and led her inside where it was warm, he ordered her some food and water. She thought to herself that the man was so nice and kind and he had a nice and strong voice, she told him that her name was Isako Hannya he responded in a polite manner saying," well hello there my name is Hideki Daiki" he said, so where are you staying in the city she said i have nowhere to go and i have nowhere to go back to, trying to not reveal where she had come from, he paid for the bill, the two then left and he hailed a cab to his hotel, he told her that he was on a job interview only in the city for two days , so he could put her up in his hotel for the night, he put his phone number on the table and told her," call me if you need anything¡± she thanked him and went to the bedroom. Hideki got his job at the renzek corporation and moved to the city. From then on when the  two saw each other they would get closer and closer, they would eat together, and everyday they would laugh together just having fun, he introduced her to new people and new places. One year later while at the restaurant that he first took her, they finished eating dinner, and he stood up beside the table then bent down on to one knee and proposed to her, her smile filled with happiness, she told him in a soft voice,¡±yes¡± and the two were engaged to be married.


    Asura''s search-


    in the demonic universe Isako''s brother had realized that she had been missing he searched for her night and day for exactly three years, but what he did not know is that in those three years she had already conceived a child and started a family with a man named Hideki, he had no knowledge of it and had thought that she was kidnapped by one of the other nations. In the third year, a flame golem and his partner soldier were out inspecting the paraleum flame barrier when the golem found a deep and dark cave, in that deep and dark cave was the portal that the princess fell through, that portal led to the human world, as fast as the two could they teleported to the kingdom and told the prince, the prince sent for a scholar who researched for4 hours to find information about the portal, finally he found it the portal was a rip in humanity that could connect two places from different dimensions. without missing a beat he told the prince, the prince then rallied his soldiers and they rushed through the portal .


    The soldiers opened there eyes and stirred about when they looked down etched into the ground was basically formal information on what the shrines did and it showed that they were at the shrine of daikokuten the god of wealth, the shrine started to glow and expanded a bubble of purity killing half of soldiers and 3 flame golems, the prince raised his hand and repelled the bubble with a dark wave of energy that destroyed the shrine, continuing on with his mission he opened his hand only for a small flame to rise out of it, that flame was the only thing that could find the princess.


    Princess Isako¡¯s view-


    Isako felt her brother''s presence appear in the world, she could feel it as the two were twins bound to the same sense. She knew that her brother would slaughter everyone so while her brother had been tracking her she told Hideki that she was a princess and that she came from a kingdom in a different dimension that her father ruled, in disbelief he asked when she was going to tell him and that they were married and they didn''t have to keep secrets from each other. Isako turned away and told him that Akumi would be taken away and killed because in her dimension in law you were to be executed if you were not of pure demon decent and so Hideki asked what the two would do, she told him that they would hide Akumi from her brother, he would be safe but there was the risk of her being executed herself for being with someone who wasn''t of demon decent, but there was the possibility that she would just probably be taken back and that neither him or the child would not be able to be there with her.


    Brother know¡¯s best-


    as she knew that her brother was approaching she put a ember bubble over Akumi and Hideki she then went out into the open when she did this her brother noticed that he could not sense three heart signatures anymore, so he rushed to the area to see her standing there with a tedious look on her face, she said that she had killed them and then burned their bodies so they wouldn¡¯t have any remnants. She then turned and said that she wanted to stay in the human world the brother then refused and said,

"you are to come back to the kingdom and live until one of us is chosen to reign over the kingdom" she screamed and yelled as they restrained her and took her back through the portal and to the kingdom. What Isako didn¡¯t know is that her brother wanted her to die but in the eye¡¯s of his people he would look like a heartless king if he did away with her, Asura was the one who made an opening to the portal, he also used his magic to grow roots and trip her. The portal was supposed to be used to banish people, but his chance of that was gone.


    Hideki¡¯s Adventure-


    as soon as Asura, Isako and the small army left the ember bubble bursts and in dismay he could not understand what had happened. the child lived a fairly normal life over the next months, and Hideki did everything he could to find someone who could help, so he read the old lore of the land," a century or two ago there was a beast the beast was said to be the only thing that could survive in the harsh land called the land of death this beast has no name but people call it Shi meaning death, a year later in this time Hideki realized what he had to do he took the now 4 year old to his sister''s house and he asked her if she could watch him for about 2 weeks and she said,


    " it''s a little sudden but anything for you and my favorite nephew".


    He drove for three days only taking a break at local hotels when he came to a boat shop, there he rented a large boat. Sailing south west 7 days, after he had gone to bed on the boat there was a sudden crash knocking him off of the bed and into the wall. he came out and hopped off of the boat, and said, ¡°this might be easy¡±. From there he walked for an hour until he finally came to where the land split, the land was so harsh that it was abundantly grassy and plentiful with animals, and fruit but if you were to look just a little farther it stopped and all you would see is cracked dirt and sand the animals won''t even cross the line. Hideki prepared a backpack and he changed into lighter clothing he then went out into the strange and mysterious land what he noticed was that as soon as he did the land turned dark the air was brisk and the moon was out. He hopped back and forth again and again, he then thought to himself he didn''t have time for this. He then went about his journey he thought to himself, ¡°I made a horrible mistake switching to lighter clothing¡± but he straightened his gaze and his mindset and kept going strong, but he passed out in the cold, only to awake an hour later when the sun was beaming down on him. He grasped and reached for his water bottle he grabbed it and took a big gulp, as he was dehydrated, the land was harsh maybe too harsh he thought if he would ever be able to see his son again. He looked up after slumping over, and he had to take a double take, what he saw was a small jungle and on the front part of that jungle was a door. He ran to it trying to preserve his energy stopping halfway he thought to himself what if it''s a mirage, i really am gonna die here if i''m going to die i might as well do it searching for something that could better my son¡¯s future. He ran with all his might to the door closer and closer he ran until the door got bigger, finally he  was so close he could grab the doorknob the then realized that the door was not a mirage he cheered in happiness, and turned the doorknob to his surprise it opened, and as he opened the door cold air rushed from the doorway as if there were blocks of ice or air conditioners inside.


    Loving aunt-


    while the father was out the aunt played with Akumi, they read stories together, she then decided that it was bedtime. They brushed their teeth together, and then she bathed him, then she carried him into the spare room beside hers she then tucked him in and gave him a kiss on the forehead went to the room door and turned off the light. Though she had never had any children herself she was great with them, and she treated Akumi like he was her own son she left and took a bath.


    Akumi¡¯s powers awakened-


    As he lay in bed he saw a little girl about his age at the window, she knocked and he hopped out of bed from underneath his covers he unlocked the window, and crawled out the girl said let¡¯s play but Akumi replied,


    ¡± i have to go back before my aunt found out¡±. but there was something alluring about the little girl that made him go with her, they went to a nearby park and swung on the swings, she gave him a piece of candy, they sat and swung for at least 4 minutes when he had a small headache when he looked over he saw that the girl was gone he became fearful of what happened to her and what would then happen to him. Akumi stopped swinging only to hear a low growl, he turned around to see a beast that looked to be part bear and part lion that had fur made from wispy shadows he ran and the monster pursued as it lunged at him he ducked into a small wooded area frantically running with tears streaming down his face. He tripped on the leg of a tree, now pinned between the tree and a rock he cried and squealed as he knew the monster would soon be there, there it was as it curled around from a nearby tree it slowly creeped slowly towards the young child, he screamed and wailed then, suddenly it lunged towards the child the child raised both arms one raising towards the beast, and the other to cover his eyes. Then suddenly there was a spark and surge of power and a flaming circle appeared in the middle of the air protruding from his hand the beast stopped and from that circle a flaming ball flew out in front of the child''s two feet. The emblem disappeared and the beast backed away, learning that nothing happened the beast jumped at the child 4 feet away from the child. The beast was about to strike just when the flame that the child created cleared, when it cleared a small wolf cub appeared and it let out a fierce bark and along with that bark came a fireball that obliterated the beast completely the child noticing with happened wiped the tears away and looked at his hand the wolf cub then crawled up to him and licked his face. The child laughed, then winced after looking down to see a scraped knee cap, the wolf cub licked his knee and the blood fizzled away the child standing up and saying wow he ran saying catch me if you can the two run together, back to his aunt''s house an hour later the aunt came in to check on him to see a happy child with a wolf cub next to him she woke him up to ask him where he found him and the child said," I named him Haruto he came from my hand".


    father¡¯s Help-


    he walked in through the door and found books scattered everywhere, he shut the door behind him as he did he saw a slender light that, light was coming from one of two large doors, one was slightly ajar. He peaked in and saw a man who looked to be in his late 70''s but this old man was quite fit just then he heard in a low scraggly voice that sounded very polite, as if he had manners befitting a king,"i already know you''re there you may come in, with a gasp he backed away from the door. as he was about to turn around and run he had run right into the chest of the old man the old man said well that''s quite rude of you, Hideki stuttered to get his words out saying how are you right here when i just watched you at that table the old man said,¡± you have a lot of questions i see and you seem troubled


    come come come here there is food on the table i knew that you were coming dear boy i just didn''t know what you needed so tell me your plight.¡±...........................

 chapter 2~Going to the Dark Continent

    friends-


    years later, Akumi is now a teenager he laying in bed dreaming about a woman one he had never seen before, and every time before he could make out her face he would always wake up. It was the two last days until his graduation, and he had been laying in his bed thinking about what he would do with his future, when his father called him downstairs. He walked down the steps only to see a girl with long light brown hair, her name was misaki, and a teenage boy who was slightly taller than her his name was jozu, or that''s what they called him his real name was tetsu, they were his friends he had known since he was in the second grade.


    Akumi said," oh dad i have to go i''m helping prepare for the third year graduation ceremony"  his father replied, "ok just be back by 8:00 i have to go to  renzek corp i won''t be here so get yourself something to eat or fix something, if you do feed Haruto food too. As the three had been part of the athletics club it was common for them to hang out together, but the club disbanded as it was in the last days of school, they also only had three days left together until they had to start applying to college, meaning they would have to venture off on their own and learn new things since they were applying to different colleges.


    future-


    Now in the auditorium the three had set up podiums for the third year''s speech, and the banners, and signs, so they decided to go out and get something to eat, so they went to mr. conalds burger farm. They ordered their food and they sat there discussing their futures, misaki said that she was going to attend kinci university,in osaka, after that i''m coming back here to get a job jozu what will you be doing jozu, he replied saying that he was going to go to a school that specializes in computer graphics but he was stuck in between two of them. Shortly after the three parted ways, as he was walking home, he saw a girl across the street crying. Before he could get to her cars rushed past him he watched them rushing past going up the street when he looked back to where the little girl was, she was gone. A few seconds later he dropped to his knees, feeling warm liquid run down the back of his legs, he struggled to look back and that''s when he saw it there was a dark smokey spider with fangs as sharp as knives. As it crawled toward him he pulled himself forward with his hands, it lunged at him, as it did so he screamed, " get away" the alley way ground turned a molten reddish orange and formed into a spiked wall slicing the creature in two before he could realize what had happened he passed out, when he awoke his father was changing his bandages his father told him," i knew this would happen someday or another i''m going to heal your wounds so you can go to your graduation tomorrow before his father could say anything else he fainted again.


    father-


    i knew this would happen eventually i should have suppressed his powers while i could i guess i''ll have to wait and see what happens i''ll erase the memories he had from a couple of hours ago, he then left Akumi''s room and then went into his own he looked underneath his bed he pulled a ember stone out and broke it on the ground," there that should open his abilities and potential a bit more" from behind him there was a voice," do you really think that you can protect him" he turned but no one was there he fell to his knees and screamed as he held his head he had become so distracted that he didn''t notice that shadow beasts had invaded his home," stay away from my son" in that moment Haruto, Akumi''s pet wolf, had awoken it dashed up the stairs and at the top of them let out a echoing howl and when Haruto brought its teeth down they rubbed together causing sparks, the air in the house ignited and when it cleared the voices of the shadow beasts disappeared Hideki walked out of the room and stared at Haruto.


    graduation


    in the mirror tightening his tie he looked at Haruto, and smiled Haruto came up to him and nudged him with his head he pushed him to the window where he could see his friends Akumi rushed downstairs and told his father," bye dad see you at the graduation" he grabbed his lunch and left with his friends they talked, and laughed as they reflected on their old memories misaki told jozu," that he used to be a dork" then she laughed and said," now you''re our dork" they arrived at school, they mostly hung out in the halls or in class talking to their other friends when the schools voiceover chimed ,the halls flooded with people as they filled into the auditorium misaki,jozu, and Akumi went into the auditorium and they gazed, and marveled at the decorations they put up, Akumi looked for his father but couldn''t see him, misaki cheered him up being the oldest and the one who initially started the friendship with Akumi and jozu, she was a very sociable person and a natural student council president, she told the two that she was going up on stage to give her speech she walked out of the row and up the stairs and stood at the podium and spoke into the microphone saying," i''d like to thank you all for attending midoku today, whether you are a student or a teacher today is a very honorable day because we get to honor those who have worked hard this year, since this is the last day that day that i will be here i want to thank all of you for allowing me to be your student council president and for allowing me to listen to your problems and better the school with them now i turn you over to the vice president of the student council or now i should say student council president kazuma'''' as she was about to walk off stage the room went quiet Akumi looked around and the room was completely quiet it was then that he realized that everyone was frozen as soon as he came to that realization the door to the auditorium suddenly burst open he ducked between the seats as weird men in armor and beasts on chains ran into the room forming a circle in the openings of the seats a hooded creature came into the room and with a deep but raspy voice it said," hold your formation we are here for the one" it drifted over the ground over to the steps where misaki had been going down he commanded one of the beast handlers to come to him and said," we must take this one with us too she is a perfect specimen" Akumi heard the creature say that and before the handler could pick her up he yelled, "let her go" the beast handlers turned  and opened their mouths which let out a faint glow then a beam of light blasted from them forming a white hazy bubble around him they then released the chains on the beast and they surrounded the white haze.

    as Hideki rushed from his job to his son''s school midoku, he sensed bloodlust he then stomped his feet on the ground two times and lightning flashed from his feet in a second he dashed to the school, when he tried to enter the auditorium there was a barrier that kept him out, he punched and kicked as he pushed his body against the barrier, his hair and suit became disheveled, there was nothing that he could do.


    sons view part 2 reference 6- awakening


    everything around Akumi turned black and white it was as if he was floating to the bottom of the ocean," i don''t know what''s happening, am i going to die, who are these people" his life flashed before his eyes and with every memory a small spark occurred instilling power into him the final memory was the woman without a face from his dreams and his younger self running up to her calling her mom suddenly his mind went into peace and around his body a flame appeared the ground beneath him crumbled and rose up to his body forming a armor that looked like stones forming around lava his hair turned into flames and his eyes turned a dark black with a ruby red pupil he had transformed into something that he never knew possible he walked forward out of the flames and the white haze disappeared, condensing his body he released all of the stones on his body making them fly through the air like bullets towards the handlers ripping through them in seconds they fell to the ground the flaming rocks flew back to him like a boomerang and orbited him seeing that all of the handlers and beast had been killed he pulled the stones back to him only for a handler to grab him from behind grunting," i have you now" he condensed his body and flames roared into the handler and turned turned into ashes, the hooded creature backed away as he walked towards him whimpering, " please let me go i''ve done nothing wrong they''ve forced me to do this me being a strong guy such as yourself you know rightful judgement right please i beg you" he didn''t say anything but his flames grew the ground cracked and the air around him started to wave he lifted his right arm and a stone floated upwards it shifted into a ball with spikes, before the hooded creature could say anything it was sent flying into his chest Akumi then said," now die" clenching his hand the spike grew in his chest ripping him to pieces as he let out a wail a burst of energy released from him as he powered down he was incredibly weak all of the monsters disintegrated into nothing and time began moving he stood there weak in front of misaki telling her you did a wonderful job but slumped onto her as he tried to give her a hug jozu then walked up and said that she did a great job being president, Akumi''s father stood at the doors of the auditorium fixing his hair and tie, he cleared his throat and walked to where the other parents were, he looked over and saw Akumi resting in his seat when the principal called him up on stage his friends had to nudge him awake after he shook the principal''s hand and took his certificate he looked out into the audience and saw his father and smiled, after that the friends later went to the amusement park to celebrate their graduation on the ferris wheel misaki said solemnly," i can''t believe that i have to pack up and move tomorrow" they all looked sad but at the end of the ferris wheel there was a bracelet stand, jozu went over and bought three of them," now we will never forget each other this is a sign that after we finish college we will come back here" they agreed and they left the park and parted at the entrance.

    as Akumi returned home he walked past the living room his father called him in and what he had seen shocked him his father''s clothes were ruffled and hair disheveled he had never seen him like this before his father told him that he had to tell him something but he was going to summarize it Hideki said,"son when you were 4 years old i took you to your aunt''s house and left you there to go on a journey that would better your future" he looked puzzled as his father spoke to him, " this may sound hard to believe but believe me i went off to a land  that was quite odd the land was grassy but if you walked a little further it turned into a desert there i found a man who trained me in the secret ways of shido fist you will be going there to train with him, you may want to ask questions but there is no time your teacher is waiting", "what are you talking about wait" his father grabbed Haruto and his son and threw an odd crystal on the ground when the smoke cleared he was in the desert, " there it is the door to your future go in and greet you teacher" when he had turned around his father was not there he looked at Haruto and said,  " let''s go in" when the two opened the door cold air blasted from the doorway the two paced slowly to the two large doors that had been slightly open. What they saw was a wacky old man with snow for beard Akumi said, " how is this possible we are inside, aren''t we" as he said that the old man stood up and disappeared as snow whipped and flashed through the air and he appeared behind the two," hello my name is master shido i will be your teacher no questions only tea" he shut the doors and opened them again, when he did it had turned into a bamboo forest with a waterfall he pushed the two into the room saying, " here sit down now is time for tea we can train later, every time Akumi tried to say something the old man interrupted him, " the old man filled the cups and a bowl with tea and handed it to Akumi, and placed the bowl down for Haruto," ok so before you ask any questions you are a demon","what" he gurgled as he spat out the tea the old man said," sorry is the tea burned i''ll fix that" no you just said that i was a demon old man, correct, " and call me shido or just Dragon and yes i did your father came to me fifteen years ago and he told me that your mother was demon and that he did not know that she was, she had told him years after you were born so if i''m correctly speaking your half human half demon if you want to know more we will train and then i will tell you about your past and your mother, you want to know do you not, Akumi nodded, dragon replied saying," good now drink your tea and let''s go we''re going to a place called the dark continent" shido extended his hand in offer for Akumi and Haruto to be his students Akumi shook Dragons hand and Haruto gave him his paw Dragon nodded his head and with his scraggly voice he yelled, " change now " suddenly the room had whirled into a spiral and it had turned into a classroom and Dragon was wearing a scholar''s cap Akumi asked where are we and why are you wearing that Dragon replied, " this is the classroom where you will learn everything you need to know about survival your powers and how to fight- Akumi interrupted, " my powers what do you mean my powers i may be a demon but i don''t have powers " Dragon pulled down a screen and said, " roll the film " it showed Akumi fighting off the creatures that had attacked midoku, " on to the next one" shido said it showed Haruto protecting Hideki and Akumi from monsters Akumi looked baffled, Haruto and Akumi turned and looked at each other, " now that we are off of that we will take roll is there a Daiki Akumi here say present " Akumi answered unsurely of himself with a low, "present" Dragon checked him off and started up again saying, "ok next is there a Daiki Haruto here " Haruto barked after that Dragon spent 2 hours telling them about what the dark continent was and how they would be training Dragon changed the room again and tested their physical abilities after he was done he said, " ok now that we''ve done that let''s go Akumi tried to get the words wait go wh- but Dragon had already said, "change now" the group appeared in a jungle and Dragon was nowhere to be found suddenly a booming and echoing voice came from the skies saying, "this is where you will stay for the next 4 years since this room is outside of space and time we could stay here for a month and time would have only progressed into a couple of days now hold out your hands" from the sky a 4 leg bracelets appeared, Dragon said,¡°these are for Haruto put them on they will amplify his abilities and yours as long as both of you are alive, also make a shelter quickly it changes from day to night every 30 minutes and make a fire that is all i will tell you wait no i forgot to tell you that everything is bigger on this island so that means that there are giant monsters here, and if you try and cut down certain trees they will attack you and watch out for boomshrooms they are like little land mines".


    surviving the dark continent reference 8-life of the two


    it has been 3 months since Dragon left them on the dark continent Haruto had gotten strong enough to hunt on his own,and Akumi has learned to control fire. As Akumi was running with Haruto, Haruto sniffed out all of the boomshrooms, so that they could go the safe route, but as they were running one sprouted and Akumi stepped on it, the gas from the boomshroom ignited as it did he had embraced the fire. From that day on he practiced controlling flames by stepping on the boomshrooms and harnessing the flames, Haruto has learned to increase the powers of his claws, so he can slice through boulders, trees, and monsters especially every night the two were attacked by monsters, which was about every half hour, so they had to have keen senses. Haruto would hunt the food like giant wild boars, but most commonly giant birds, Haruto would use his leg charms to increase his jumping power and jump up to slice the wings of the birds after Akumi had blocked its path with fireballs, that is what their diets consisted of also including the fruits and berries of the land that were initially poisonous but they built up an immunity to them, although the two had come along way they were still far from their goal Akumi''s being too find out about his mother and his demon half and Haruto''s to be by Akumi''s side.
