《Born a Demi-God (Hiatus)》 Chapter 1: Fathers Identity "Today is the day I am going to win my first martial art tournament" Looking in the mirror in my bathroom I see a very tall young man reflecting in the mirror with short black hair that have tanned white skin with black eyes, this young man was of course me, Zain Smith 15 years old. In my lifetime I immerse myself in martial arts since I was 5 years of old because well I had nothing to do since I was dean a loner. Many of my peers didn''t like my personality so I focus on martial arts and is finally going to pay off. Today is the day the world-wide national martial art tournament is going to begin and each country will have to send a representative which I am part of the U.S division.My family consists of four people, my mother, Sandy Smith, and my two older twin siblings that are girls with the names Mindy and Gena Smith. My father, Henry Smith died a year ago because of a severe heart attack, well that what was my mother told me. Now that I think about it , I think his death was weird because last time I remember he was as healthy as an ox but suddenly he had a heart attack that was probably less than 25% chance of happening and since then my mother never spoke of him. Since I didn''t know what to do I stopped worrying about it but doing his time while he was alive he was known as one of the best martial artist and can be said the number one master not that then at least tied for that place. Going out of my bathroom I get dress and grab my laptop and head outside towards my mother''s car. The tournament will be head in a dome about a half an hour from my house. Arriving next to the car I look up in the night sky glancing at stars calming my mind and then went in the car. Seating in the car I login in to my computer and research on my upcoming opponent from the tournament. Seeing my opponent I really thought my self to be really unfortunate because my opponent is a girl from the Korean division that is the repeating champion for three years, the girl name is Melinda Scott and is 15 years old. She is very beautiful and can make any man bewitched from her beauty, young or old. She is tall for her age with long black hair and azure blue eyes. Looking at her profile she used to be an orphan at the age of 4 when her parents died in a plane accident but was adopted by her martial art master a half a month later and was trained ever since "This girl was an orphan..." While talking to myself out loud, the car stop inside a parking lot surround by dozens of cars. Looking up through the passenger mirror I see a huge dome in my view which stunned me greatly because I didn''t expect it to be so big but now thinking about it, it made sense because this is a nation wide thing that a lot people will show up. Getting out of the car I go towards the entrance of the dome. Taking about four minutes I arrive at the entrance, giving my identity to the guard at the door I went inside the dome . Inside the dome I see thousands of people in the audience seats. Going towards the arena,I arrive in my section and sat down to get used to my surrounding. Looking towards the west from me I see the judges that are two elderly woman and three elderly man chatting with each other. Looking towards the ring I see two competitors from the Japan and Australia division having an intense battle, lasting for about five minutes until the referee step in announcing the winner to be the boy from the Australia division with 2 to 3 vote. Since my match isn''t going to start until two more matches and I have to go to bathroom, I get up from my section and walk towards the restroom. Going toward the restroom I bump into a girl which falls on the floor. Helping her from the floor I noticed that she looked kind of familiar until realizing the girl I bump into was Melinda, my opponent in the upcoming match giving me a shock. Melinda looking at me had a shock look as well probably because she recognized me as her upcoming opponent. "Sorry, I wasn''t paying attention," Saying this I turned around and went towards the restroom until I feel a pair of hands grabbing my robes. "Hey, you are Zain smith aren''t you?"(Melinda) "Yes, and you are Melinda Scott aren''t you?" I said sarcastically "Yes even though I guess you already knew that. But that isn''t what I want to ask"(Melinda) "What?"(Zain) "I want you to give up the match," She said with a serious look on her face "Why?"(Zain) "Because I don''t want to hurt you and it''s better for you to give up"(Melinda) Becoming a little irritated I replied, " I should thank you for your consideration but let me tell you, it may be my first appearance in this tournament doesn''t mean I am a rookie when it comes to martial arts!" "OK ..... since you won''t heed my warning don''t expect to hold back"(Melinda) "That''s fine, that''s all you want to talk about?"(Zain) "Yes," She said, then she turn around and storm off. Entering the restroom I see my vision going blurry adding with it a massive headache struck me making me fall onto the wet bathroom floor. Hearing a voice echoing in my head calling out my name " Zain.....Zain" getting louder and louder then suddenly stopping with the head ache and the blurriness in my vision. Getting off the floor thinking it was all an illusion because of stress, ''Argggh... I hope their bathroom clean,''I thought. Arriving at my section I sit down in my seat, turning my head looking towards the North Korea section my eyes locked onto Melinda. She also look at me and I winked, flushing with anger she turn her head away acting as she doesn''t see me. Quickly two matches already pass, and thus is was my turn. Seeing me do this she smiled a mocking smile. The referee get in the ring, waving is hand telling us to greet each other. Bowing I said " Zain Smith, 15 years old" Replying she said " Melinda Scott, 15 years old" After greeting each other the referee gave a signal to the judge then to us telling us that we may begin. Without delay Melinda swiftly ran up to me lashing out a fury of palm strikes aiming for my face without restraint , dodging by a short hair length , I quickly counter with a side kick towards her temple trying to end the fight quick and easy but things didn''t go as expected. Before my kick can reach her she use a leg sweep on my pivot foot throwing me off-balance then send a front kick towards my abdomen. Feeling a slight pain where she landed the kick at, I endure it and charge forward sending a roundhouse kick toward her midsection. While battling against Melinda I feel the same pain in my head I felt in restroom earlier, enduring it I send a couple strikes towards her head and shoulders, upon contact I can feel a burning sensation in my head growing each time my strikes hit. As time goes on my other 4 senses started to demolish making me I black out.. Waking up, I was in a white space that surrounded me in every direction. In the space I notice that it seem as it goes on infinity without end. ''Wait where am I? Wasn''t I just in the ring going against Melinda.... Where is this place?'' thinking of this, I notice that it was no one else but me , no sound and no color just a blank white space. ¡°Hello Zain, you¡¯re finally up" a masculine voice sounded echoing through the space ¡°Who is there?!" I ask panicky, looking around but I didn''t see anyone ¡°There no use in looking for me. Let me introduce myself I am David Robinson" "Where am I? Why am I here?" (Zain) ''Did I miss my tournament?'' I thought becoming worried "This a space that is separated from your world and the reason you''re here is because of your father"(David) ''Am I dreaming.... urgghh this going to cause a headache!'' "My father? What does my father have to do with this?''(Zain) ¡°I am a god and your father is the reason you are here because of the deal he made with us."(David) ''Yep... In the past many gods didn''t care if you have a mortal lover but that change ten thousand years ago because there was a pair of god and mortal couple that had an male offspring but this offspring was born more powerful than a regular demi-god. When this demi-god awaken it''s powers it end up growing up to be a very powerful god but had end betraying the gods and started a massacre against us and it was catastrophic, but we end up killing it but with major losses."(David) "That was a onetime thing so how can that effect gods having a mortal lover?"(Zain) "No it happen many times before that but was only a low scale thing with a least a couple hundred gods being severely injured but not dead, that is why we didn''t do anything back then but the incident ten thousand years ago changes everything and now every male offspring of a god and mortal will have to be put into prison, restricting it of using it powers"(David) "So you came here to bring me to a prison? And what is the name of the prison"(Zain) "No I didn''t come here to bring you to prison but to put you on trial requested from your father because your case is a bit special, and the name of the prison is Yin Yang containment prison.."(David) "How come my a case is special and why the name Yin Yang prison...its kinda.. you know..a bad name"(Zain) "......""Your case is special because your father was the god that defeated the berserk god and end up saving all the gods and so owe him a favor and he ask us to give you a chance of freedom and so we agreed to it. The reason it is called that because well it simple it''s a mixture of male and female prisoners of different races"(David) "So my dad a hero... So what is this trial called?"(Zain) "Trail of the gods"(David) Chapter 2: Trial of the gods "Trail of the gods.... that''s a corny name"(Zain) "The name wasn''t supposed to be cool....anyway this trailed have three parts to it, the first part is to have you fight demonic beasts. Before you ask, demonic beast is a beast that can control or absorb mana to become very powerful. Mana(Also known as qi, magic, etc.) is what you find in planet atmosphere but for some reason your planet doesn''t have this so you will not find any demonic beast in your world. Any ways the beast is separated into different ranks, ranging from E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS rank.(The beast names and rankings are different depending on the world or universe you live.) The demonic beast all have one thing in common, all them have a mana core on their body somewhere. The demonic beast you will be fighting will be the beasts rank S and above if you awaken your powers but if not you will fight the beasts with ranks C and below. You will kill a thousand demonic beast with at least one or two being at the highest level. The second and third part I can not tell you." (David) "This is really a lot to take in but I will do it."(Zain) "I have to remind you, if you do pass this trail you cannot go back to your world. You will be brought to new world."(David) "I guess that long time ago... So when is this trail going to start?"(Zain) "It will start tomorrow, after you say goodbye to your family"(David) "Wa...." before getting to finish my words, I black out. Waking up, I see that I am in a bed in a familiar bedroom with my mother and sisters hanging around staring at me with teary eyes. "What happen? What time is it?" I ask "Zain you finally up. *sniff* *sniff* While in your match you suddenly fell down unconscious and didn''t wake up for a two days. It is 9:26 at night¡­ are you alright?"(Mindy) "Yea are you alright... is there something wrong with you?"(Gena) "I am alright... but mom is there is something you are hiding from us about dad?" I ask looking at her with a frown. "What are you talking about honey" She said "There is no use hiding it anymore because I already know"(Zain) "What are he talking about mom?¡±(Gena/Mindy) "I don''t know"(Sandy) "Since you don''t want to tell them I will," then I started to talk about our father and what he really is and what we really are. Shocking both of my sisters and end up not believing me until them of course saw our mother reaction "How do you know that Zain?" My mother ask with a shaking voice "Well after blacking out during my match" Then I started to talk about my conversation with David and how that I will be leaving tomorrow. "Well that explain it.... Well if it is true what you said then does this mean we won''t be able to see you again?"(Sandy) "No... If I pass the trail I won''t come to this world anymore doesn''t mean I can''t bring you with me to the other world... but if you guys are willing to come with me is the question if not then this may be the last time we see each other... well unless I can become a god at least."(Zain) "Will they let us come?"(Gena) "Probably but you will be with them until I can finish my trail"(Zain) "Ok then... we will come with you"(Mindy) "Hold on Gena, Mindy you guys have friends and people you know that live here and we don''t know what world we will be in if he pass .... it might be dangerous! "(Sandy) "Yes but we can always make new friends in the other world and I have only one brother. And so what if the world is dangerous as long as the family is together"(Mindy) "Alight... you better not regret on your decision. Ok rest now honey we will be going with you, goodnight!" After saying this she drag both Mindy and Gena with her out of the room. Soon after they left it didn¡¯t to me long to fall asleep. In the morning, I wake up and feel my body sore as it feel like my was pressed against something, looking down I pull my cover from above me and see my two sisters. *Sigh*.....throwing them off my me. I put on some fresh new clothes. After being thrown off the bed my two sisters started to yell at me saying that I am cruel and mean or whatever but I just ignored them and went towards the kitchen. And no there are coming with me"(Zain) "I already knew you will make that choice... well whatever I will take care of them until if you manage to stay alive. But if you die, your family memories will be erased so that they won''t remember about us gods and of course you."(David) "Ok... Let¡¯s go I can''t wait to see how the other gods look like!"(Zain) "You seem surprisingly eager to go... well come on," After he said this he snickered then he grab me by the shoulder and suddenly a bright big circle appear underneath us blinding my eyesight. Clearing my vision I notice that I was in a dim room and in front of me I see 8 brown chairs with 7 of them occupied by some unknown figures that have cloaks on them. ''Damn, can''t see their faces, he must have knew..'' "Thank you David, you may leave" A feminine voice echo throughout the room. Bending down David whispered into my ear saying "good luck" and he quickly disappeared. "Welcome Zain have a seat" the woman voice sounded. Instantly a seat appeared behind me, having really no choice I sat down and surprisingly the chair was rather comfortable. ¡°You know why you here, don''t you?" the feminine voice sounded. Nodding my head she continued. " OK... them. My name is Thela also known as the Goddess of rebirth and the other six are Herald the god of darkness, Stacy the goddess of life and death , John the god of fire, Tatami the god of wind, Serena the goddess of honesty, and Robert the god of lightning" While saying this she pointed to the other figures. She continued " Since you know why you here there is no reason to explain your trial, we will send you to a different world to a island that is filled with nothing but demonic beasts. You will kill a thousand of them within the time limit of a year. Then you will have to go through two more trials. Do you have any questions if not then step into that teleportation array behind you"(Thela) ''Teleportation array!?'' ¡°.....Yes I have two questions, if I may ask. First one is why is there seven of you instead of eight? And the second is, if I do pass the trials what kind of world will I go to?"(Zain) "The eight member is banned for participating in this meeting, and for the world you will go to depends on your results in the trials."(Thela) "Alright..... Then I guess I will go," After saying this I step on the teleportation array that had strange runes on them and disappeared. Reappearing kneeling on the ground with a massive headache ¡®Damn¡­can they at least warn me¡¯ wobbling getting up from the ground I see a thick forest in front of me with strange bent and curled up trees that I never seen before, turning around I see a sandy beach and the ocean which was not its original blue color but was black. Taking a mental note reminding me to not go near that water. "Zain," A voice sounded behind me scaring me horribly. Turning to see who called me , I see a beautiful female about my age that have long blond hair and amber red eyes, which can suck any man soul. ¡°Who are you?" "Helena... who are you? aren''t I am suppose to be the only one on the island?" I said taking a couple a step back watching her cautiously ¡°I am the eighth seat member of the god council, I came here to meet you"(Helena) "....Oh so you are the eighth seat member, aren''t you a little too young to be a member?" I said while still being on guard. "..... I am an adult." She said, getting irritated. ¡°How old are you then?" (Zain) Finally snapping with anger, she said " You do not supposed to ask a women age! And I am not here to just answer your questions. I came here to give you this" she threw a purple object towards me. Catching it, I look at it and somehow I feel as that it was giving off an ancient aura. ¡°What is this?" I ask while looking intrigue in its aura "That is the pill for you to help you with something, I don¡¯t know what, but your father before death used his life force to make this pill."(Helena) ¡°A pill like this exists.... Why are you doing this? You must have goal for doing this."(Zain) "You will find out later... I will see you after you finish the trails. Oh yeah and here." She gives me a silver thin 2 feet rod with golden runes on it ¡°This was your father''s." Touching the rod, it feel like a normal silver rod with just something written on them ¡°What is this supposed to be?" I ask looking at her with a confuse face seeing me looking like this, she smiled and said ¡°This is sacred weapon, a one and a kind weapon your father is giving it you. It can change into three different weapon, a sword, a spear, and a magic staff. Since I did what I came here to do, I have no reason to be here," After saying this she smiled a devilish grin then turned into mist eventually disappearing. ¡®She must be scheming something¡­.¡¯ Taking a few more looks at the place where she disappear, I turn my gaze towards the pill and the rod. She never told me how to work this rod, deciding to worry about it later I focus on the pill. Since she said it was going to help, I decided it was best for me to swallow it now since if I go into the forest with it, it might attract many demonic beast because of it aura. After swallowing the pill I feel a burst of warm energy entering my chest over time becoming scorching hot sensation making me bend down in pain. After unknown amount of time the heat subsided down relieving the pain but it didn''t last long as it was replace by the sound of my bones shattering and being rebuild repeating the process over and over, not just that but my body feel like it was been thrown into a pot of boiling water. Couldn''t take it any more I screamed endlessly and soon after a while I fell unconscious.. Gaining my conscious back I tried to get up from the ground but suddenly feeling a surge of pain all over body leading me to yell in pain. Enduring the pain I stand up from the ground and look at my body, but was instantly surprise to see my body because my tanned skin wasn''t the same tanned rough skin but was a smooth pure white skin which brought me into a daze. Getting out of my daze I also realize that not just my skin but my whole physique change drastically, my used to be muscular well-built body transform into a slim- built body that is way smaller than my previous body but I have a feeling that I am more than 100 times stronger and faster than was I used to be. Not only that but my height grew 3 inches making me look like an 18 year old adult and also my used to be short black hair change into shoulder length pasty white hair. I believe if that I met my family again they will not recognize me. After taking a few more minutes to observe the changes of my body, I notice that only changes of my body I see and feel is just how my body change and how stronger and faster I become. ¡®This is going take some time to get used to¡¯ Deciding that since I was going to live in the island for a year now, I decided it is best for me to build a house for me to live in while I am here. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 weeks later... It''s been two weeks since I have been here at the Island. During the two weeks I have been here, I finally manage to build a stable house here, on the beach. Getting materials for the house was really easy to do the fact of my strength making it easy to snap trees in halve as it was twigs. The other thing I learned staying at this Island is that this world is always at daytime. Also during the two weeks I been here, I have not went to deep into the forest fearing that I will come across an extremely powerful beast. It''s been 2 hours since I have tried many things to find out how to work this thing, I tried talking to it, and I have tried communicated through my mind. Getting ready to give up on the weapon, I decided to try using my blood. Using my teeth I bit down on my thump, slightly hurting a little, until I taste the metallic blood in my mouth then I drop a drop of blood off my thumb onto the weapon. After two minutes of nothing I became frustrated and put the rod to the side of me and lay down to relax eventually falling to sleep. Opening my eyes I found myself sitting cross legs in a white space, trying to move around but I immediately notice I couldn''t move. Suddenly in front of me a gather of mist started to slowly appear and take shape of familiar male figure. "F-f-father?" I said shouted, the familiar figure was my own father. ''But isn''t he dead!'' "Zain," The voice called me, sounding exactly like my father. It continued ¡°It seem that Helena gave you the gifts I prepared for you before my death." "Father..." I muttered ¡°Zain the pill you swallowed already is a pill to help you awaken your powers.. The rod is a sacred weapon that only accept the blood of the one who is destine to wield it. The rod is called the triad transformation rod. This rod have a piece of my conscious in it, to give you a message about the fate that awaits you. But first let me tell you about the universe. There are thousands or probably millions of gods in different worlds and realms. In the beginning of time before the universe was created there were only 4 gods. The god of chaos, the god of creation, the god of destruction, and the goddess of peace. These gods are known as the Four God Emperors, the 4 gods created many different races and worlds/realms. For instance the god of chaos created the demon race while the goddess of peace create the elven race and the god of destruction created the beast race. The 4 gods exclude themselves from the universe to observe their creations and won''t intervene with them unless their race is being endangered of being extinct. And this when you come in Zain, you are a person who is fated to be a legendary hero figure among the races. A long time ago when I first ascended to become a god I was spoken to by the goddess of peace, Ellora. She told me that I must impregnated a mortal women to give birth to a male demi-god, but she knew about the rule the god council will set on the gods forbidding us to have a mortal lover because of the ongoing attack of the berserk god. So she gave me power to kill it, making the gods owe a favor to me. I did as she instructed and got your mother pregnant to have birth to a male... Which fail with her ended up having female twins but worked the second time around. I love your mother, so don''t have the any wrong idea of me. Well anyways the gods find out about your mother existence and I was caught breaking the rule leading to my death and you was supposed to be put in high security prison but was not because I ask them to give you a chance of freedom and I knew they wouldn''t disagree with my request. As for as I know from the time I have contacted the goddess Ellora, I think it will be a major event that will include all races ....as my one and only son I want you to be safe and to take care of the family while I am away...."(Henry) Saying this his body slowly started to fade away into mist. Staring at the disappearing figure of my father awestruck trying to move desperately because I knew if he disappeared I won''t be able to see him again. "Father!" I ask, looking at her with caution ¡°Me? Oh master let me introduce myself, my name is Erza and from today on you are my master"(Erza) "Master!? I don''t even know you? Why are you here? Are you even human?"(Zain) "I am here because you form a contract with me by the use of your blood, I am the spirit of the Triad transformation rod. We are under the master and servant contract, master."(Erza) ''.... Spirit of the rod? Master and servant contract? Shit.... Why can''t I just have a day without being bothered with some new strange development!?'' "Master?"(Erza) "...*Sigh* so you are a spirit? Not long after Erza followed floating behind me fidgeting looking as if she wanted to ask a question. Finally couldn''t take her fidgeting anymore. I ask "What?" ¡°Yes?"(Erza) "You want to ask a question, right?"(Zain) "Oh... Yes, where are we going master?"(Erza) ¡°I am going to the river to wash off my body... will you always be following behind me like some kind of floating stalking ghost?" While saying this I walk towards the path that lead to the river "Yes I will follow you until you die, but I will not always look like a ghost..Well it depend on your capabilities, master"(Erza) "What do you mean?"(Zain) " I have a physical body but it take a huge amount of mana to construct it and since you only halve awaken your power my body would be transparent until you fully awaken."(Erza) ¡°Halve awaken my powers... what are you talking about?"(Zain) ¡°Correct me if I am wrong but I guess something must have happen to you to have to be able to halve awaken your powers if not then you wouldn''t even have enough power to even form a master and servant bond between us. And since I don''t have a full physical body that I supposed to have, I can only guess you halve awaken your powers."(Erza) ''The pill'' ¡°How? I don''t feel any different than before just that I became stronger and faster, I can''t even sense or gather mana?"(Zain) "You must have awaken your innate power, Just like an a dragon innate power is it''s roar, your is a that you have an large source of mana inside your body, not enough to be able to construct my body but a lot and it seem that you can''t sense or utilize it"(Erza) ¡°Oh... OK but if do fully awaken, will you only gain your physical body?"(Zain) ¡°Yes, but as you grow stronger so will I"(Erza) After walking for about 2-3 minutes we arrived to our destination. Looking at the river from a distance, it seem as if I am staring at beautiful picture. Taking off my clothes one by one, Erza looked at my body in daze. When she saw that I stop taking off my clothes and look at her, she blush. ¡°M-m-master...."
