《Since When did a Magical World Need Superpowers》 The talent less man whom now has powers. I am going to read to you from a particular man¡¯s journal. Of events that I unintentionally caused, but we will get to that latter. First entry Deep in the woods myself and my brother stood. He was going to teach me the art of the sword, or so he would try. I have tried many types of skills to master, magic, archery, and even the art of the spear. I have also tried many other things as well but none of them would work. Here we wore deep in the woods, on a high mountain top, which we could only reach because of my brothers dragon. My brother slowly passed me a blade from the many he had available. Of course with his own favorite in his hands. He asked me to try and strike him down with it. With that I dashed forward the sword in my right hand, lifting it up as I approached. I then swung it down towards my brother. He countered my attempt, at which point he continued with his assault. He had wanted me to counter but I was not good enough to do so, the only thing I could do was doge his full blown attacks. I soon came to the edge of the mountain, My brother swung his sword forward, I dogged, the earth suddenly shock, I lost my footing, and plummeted to my doom. My brother soon called to his dragon companion to go rescue me. He caught up I got on his back, then a blinding white light filled the air that we were in. Soon a force pushed us onto the mountain top, knocking me out cold. When I finally came to my brothers dragon was nowhere to be found. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! My brother then told me he thought the dragon probably died from the force of the blast, and his body disintegrated. He also said that I was luck that did not happen to me as well. So the sword training continued. I picked back up the sword I was given, oddly it seemed a lot lighter then before for some reason. I swung the blade forward my brother countered and launched his sword to push mine out of my hand, it worked, however he misjudged and also hit my arm. With that his sword shattered. We both stood there with shock on our faces. This was impossible, that sword was specially enchanted to deal with the strong and magically tough hide of dragons. Dragon hides being the toughest thing in the world. Only magic could deal any damage to them. ¡°How in the world.¡± my brothers words being stated like thunder. After that we decided to head home. My brother taking a new sword from the many he had brought, so that we could make it back down the mountain and through the forest alive. Once we safely made it down the mountain, we began walking into the forest. The sounds where strangely quiet for a monster filled forest. Somehow we got out without encountering any monsters. We had made it back to our village. What a strange day. Third Entry Since that day my brother became crazily obsessed with making me breath fire again. When I told him how anger was the trigger for it that time. He relentlessly tried to agitate me. Doing thinks such as throwing rotten tomatoes at me, pouring ice cold water over my head when I was not looking. This did not bring me to the point of breathing fire. When I told him that, ¡°I think it also may have had something to do with you being in danger, and that I felt a need to protect you.¡± That is when he went completely mad. He did things to provoke criminal activity against himself. He sold forbidden magic to two competing mage bars, and told both that he sold secret information about their practice to the other. Stole from the biggest thief company. Broke into a mobs home base, and even shot the king of this countries foot. Not only that but he did all of this on the same day. So our quite little village was soon over run by a lot of angry people. My brother then announced his presence to all of them, and in a cocky tone said. ¡°Do you think you could win if you tried.¡± That is what finally drove me over the edge. My stomach felt like sparks poking at its center traveling up my throat, all the way to the base of my toughen. ¡°I have had it with your crazy behavior lately!¡± I shout and as I do fire spreads from the tip of my toughen all the way to just in front of my brothers feet. ¡°Ha ha ha ha ha, I did it at last.¡± My brother laughingly This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.states. I am not shocked from the fact that I once again breathed fire, but the tone in my brothers voice. All those angry people are taken a back by what they just witnessed. ¡°Okay, take this please, it is what they stole from you.¡± My brother says as he hands the crown of the king to the kings knights. ¡°Unbelievable, is that what I think it is.¡± One of the knights speak as though he just met a god. You see the crown of the king had been stolen over thirteen years ago. My brother then apologize to the knights. ¡°I formally regret shooting the king, but this was the only way I could get you here to arrest the most cunning thieves of all time.¡± The knights take a long look at my brother. ¡°Alright we will talk to the king about this, also we will be taking you lot into custody." The most senior knight says to the group of thieves. There is one more thing you can do before you leave.¡± My brothers words being charmingly spoken. ¡°What is that?¡± The knights ask. ¡°Draw up an agreement plan between this to mage groups, a truce of sorts.¡± My brothers words being polite as possible to them. ¡°Alright we will¡± Those were the finale words before the knights left with their new prisoners. ¡°Now brother remember this day and those feelings you experienced earlier today, you do not want me to repeat a similar incident, just so you can breath fire again do you?¡± My brothers words shook me, so I imprinted that feeling deep in my heart. The next day I thought of the exact feeling I had, and was able to breath fire at will. Fourth Entry My brother brought me into a cavern, we had come here not to train with swords, but to train my fire breath instead. ¡°Okay I will lure them to you, once they get close enough release your fire breath." My brother directed to me. ¡°I understand what you want me to do, but what if one gets to close to me?¡± I asked trying to calm my fears. ¡°I will immediately rush to your rescue.¡± My brother slyly replied to me. With that, the first wave of monsters came towards me. The first thing I seen was an ice toad, its toughen is capable of freezing the spot it touches for about five minutes. If you are alone and that thing touches you, then you do not stand a chance. Even though the toughen only freezes a spot for five minutes, if multiple spots are frozen one after the other, you are at the ice toads mercy. The ice toad would definitely swallow you whole, once you no longer could move away from it. I summoned the feelings which I would need, in order to releases my fire breath. The sensation of sparks in my stomach, traveling up my throat to the base of my toughen, and fire being lunched from its tip. This feeling had become kind of comforting after all the practice I had done. It also seemed to become easier and easier to preform this action on command, with each attempt. I manged to hit the ice toad with my fire breath, and since it was a fire type of attack, the ice toad evaporated into steam. The next monster to appear was a carnivorous parrot. These things sharp fangs and razor sharp wing tips, are dangerous enough, but if you are outside on your own, it can lure you away by imitating your loved ones voice. This thing also has a vary fast speed to its flight, that is why it was able to stop once it seen what was happening to the ice toad. ¡°Oh no, help me!¡± I shout for aide from my brother. He is extremely agile, meaning he can easily avoid the speed of the carnivorous parrot. He slashes his sword directly through its throat, and then places the body in his travailing bag for parts later. Then he is no longer in front of me. The next monster has now been lured in by my brother. What was the new monster in front of me you ask? It was a baby mimic. They trick mothers of children under the age of three into thinking they are their child. Once they do that they use their hypnotic abilities to force the women to breast feed them, chomping on their exposed breast, with their vast amount of razor sharp tiny little retractable teeth. While doing this they also latched themselves tightly to them, and begin draining them of all the blood they have. Once the blood is dry and the victim dead, they use those tiny teeth of theirs to chop the body into extremely small pieces, and then eat the remains. Do not misunderstand me, that does not mean they will not attack people who are not mothers, or that females are all that can be harmed by them. If threatened they use their hypnotic power on the threat, males will be dealt with by latching onto the base of the neck right ware the spine attaches to the back. While doing this they suck the victims blood, but spit it out because they do not like the taste of male blood. Being drained of blood they leave the bodies to drop to the ground, letting any other monster have it for a source of food. When their are no monsters to feed on the corpse, travelers may find the body as a warning sign, letting them know their are baby mimics around. Females who do not have children are killed in the same way, but they swallow the blood and eat the bodies in the same manner as they do with mothers of children, however they leave the eyeballs. I think it has something to do with them not having the look of a person whom cares deeply for their offspring. Like the male bodies the eyes become a food source for any monster in the area, if their are no monsters, it is the same as with the male victims. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. To avoid being under their hypnotic power a person needs to learn how to enter a trance to control their mind from being influenced. Most swordsmen and magic wielders learn to do this easily, because they have a stronger concentration then most people. So if it got in range to affect me, my brother would defiantly come to my aid. Lucky for me my fire breath had enough range just to barely keep it out of my way. The body became completely scorched and was fully blackened when it dropped to the ground. My brother did not send anymore monsters my way at this time. He went to the corpse, stabbed it in the ribs and cut around to make a hole large enough to take out the heart and put it into his traveling bag. He could not cut directly into the heart even with an enchanted sword. Baby mimics hearts are harder then diamonds, or any legendary ore. If one forged a weapon with it, they could drain blood with each cut and heal any wound they had sustained. Forging it was difficult tho, not even fire could be used to shape it. In order for someone to forge a weapon with this thing, they needed to find a magic user who specializes in mana manipulation, to fill the heart with mana until it could be shaped by fire. That was not all the shear amount of mana needed could only be maintained by someone whom practiced mana manipulation for fifteen years or a decade if they had been really talented. Money was another thing, you would have to hire the mana manipulator, as well as a master craftsmen, because of how tough the heart was, you did not want an insufficient product. This would cost you at least the value of thirty eight diamonds, or you could give both of them two baby mimic hearts each. Baby mimic hearts are the most valuable thing in the world, at least if you do not want to get involved with the black market, in which case the unicorn horn is the most valuable thing on the planet. Unicorn horns are worth at least three thousand baby mimic hearts. The only thing more valuable is an actual unicorn, but to be able to tame one is beyond crazy. Yet their are people that have manged to tame two and breed them and trade the young for anything they want. Yes unicorns could grant wishes, but only to those who have proven themselves worthy of having their wish come true. Once my brother had firmly secured the heart in the bag, we left the cavern. A sudden shock wave approached my brother, knocking him out, while sending his sword up upon the caverns entrance. I did not have time to retrieve it, a fire troll had reached my brothers unconscious body. I rushed in with out thinking, lunched my fire breath, and got between itself and my brother, but of course that did nothing but distract it. I looked at its eyes, the only thing I could think to do was blinding by scratching it with my nails. As I swung my arms towards its face my nails felt like they are being burnt off, the tips are glowing and my nails start to reshape and expand. The tip of my nails are now like the top part of a spear, round and sharp. I realize what they remind me of.. ¡±Claws, I have claws, how, why, when, are you for real?¡± I shout out loud. Since I now have claws I slash away at the fire troll crazily, and managing to kill the thing. Soon my finger nails return to normal. Before my brother wakes up I grab his sword from the cavern entrance. I did not want him to find out what just happened. The fire breath training was hard enough I would make him believe, I had killed the fire troll by frantically swinging his sword around. I told him that lie when he awoke. He did not question what I was telling him. ¡°Alright, but seeing the way it was killed, I know for certain, that you should not wield a sword.¡± My brother tells me while laughing. Fifth Entry For the next several days my brother and I continue this routine I have now become accustomed to battling monsters with my fire breath. No longer would I have any trouble with the distance the monsters needed to be from me, in order to use it with out endangering myself. It is at this point I tell my brother I would like to train on my own. ¡°All right but do not take on anything that could not be killed by your fire breath.¡± My brother warns me. ¡°I will not do anything that reckless.¡± I lie to my brother. I was planing to train my claws, but I did not want my brother to know. I came to understand how to release them, all I had to do was swing them in the same manner I did with the fire troll. In order to gain more skill with these claws, I would travel into the forest west of the village. Inside the forest to the west are pride tigers. Pride tigers use their mighty claws to catch their prey. Not only are they powerful when they swing downwards, they can aim their claws so precisely, and swiftly, in any direction afterwards. I mean it is not like we have any weapons like claws, so I would have to observe closely how they hunted their prey. As I approached the center of the forest, it would soon be time to find somewhere to hide. I did not want to end up a victim of the pride tiger myself after all. I also masked my sent by covering my shoulder and neck in peppermint oil. I hide behind a small boulder that was underneath and between two large bushes. Having my head just a little above the boulder gently resting on it. I could see an ostrich deer. Ostrich deer are very timid creatures, and do not hurt other creatures, even when they are threatened. They breed much faster then rabbits. This is why a lot of places sell them as a food source. Being so easy to catch, and leaving even just one male, as well as one female, could leave you with a hoard of one hundred of them, all in the span of two days. It also only takes them about two hours to reach adulthood. I watch as a pride tiger finally shows up. First it swings its right paw down wards lashing the ostrich deer across its neck, placing its left paw gently to the ground while preforming this feat. As the right claw reaches the bottom, the pride tiger, swiftly moves its left claw upwards, slashing once more. The ostrich deer tries to move towards the right, but is unable to because the pride tiger is able to move its right paw upwards and to the side the ostrich deer is trying to run. When it notices that neither right nor left will work to get away, the ostrich deer tries to back away. The pride tiger does not let it,charging forward agilely, it uses its claws to pierce through its neck and stomach killing it. I take in allot from the initial kill. I have a good idea of how to move my claws in the direction I wish, without wasting to much effort. I travel to another part of the forest, trying to find a pride tiger that is going to fight a more difficult creature. I finally find one, it is fighting a mage wolf. Mage wolfs are so fast they can kill with just the air pressure alone, although they have to actually pace you, so I was not in any fatal danger, however I could be blown a great distance away from here if I did not root my feet into the ground. When fighting for territory with another mage wolf, they would unleash many different forms of magic at one another. They did this because mage wolves are immune to the air pressure of other mage wolves. If it was for a small area they would only use a light amount of magic, usually things like a fireball, and ice shot. When it came to bigger areas, they would preform magic that alters the landscape. Even considering all of this, the pride tigers do not have to worry about the air pressure. They would only sent back a few inches, and their fur was tough enough to keep the air pressure from killing them. Eyeballs in their head are protected as well, due to how hard they are. I looked on as the battle begun. The mage wolf lunched a fireball. The pride tiger used its claws to slice it in half, then swung at the mage wolfs face. A large cut appearing across its right eye. It then countered with an ice circle to surround the pride tigers body. Being cleaver the pride tiger dug a hole under the ice ring and tunneled through, just below where the mage wolf Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there.was standing. I become stunned at what I see, the pride tiger pierces the through the soil lunching it upwards and blinding the mage wolf. It takes me a bit of time to grasp what happens next. The claws continue all the way through the mage wolf, but it does not stop there, twisting its body, it launches the mage wolf to the right, while pushing with its claws in that direction as it turns. The mage wolf hits its head hard against the tree it was just knocked into, which leaves it unconscious. The pride tiger quickly runs to its body, slashing its neck with its left claw, and ripping out its heart with its right, this is to ensure that it is dead. The creature is enjoying its meal. After I have witnessed many more feats such as this by pride tigers in the area, I leave the forest. I find myself in an empty field, which is prefect to practice the directional moves I have seen. I do this for about two hours. I finally can move my claws precisely the direction I want, stopping where ever I want with in seconds, so that I will not wast any movements. I do not have a way to practice the twisting type of movements I seen without actual having a target to try it on. So I end up traveling to the fire troll layer. Fire trolls can send shock waves by stomping their feet downwards, which is how they knocked out my brother that time. I approached a fire troll swung my right hand downwards, while gently moving my left downwards, and once my right hand reached its stomach, I swung up with my left reaching the stomach, and my other hand, I then used both claws to push to the right knocking the fire troll to the ground. When it hit the ground, I pushed down with my left claw into the ground, then swung it forwards covering the fire trolls eyes with dirt. Not long after I used both claws to lunch me into the air, and dove down onto the fire trolls body. My claws tearing through its stomach, and other organs, leaving it dead. I did similar feats after this as well. I could now even twist my body like the pride tiger did. I had now killed over twenty fire trolls, just as I was ready to leave, the sound of a roar quacks the area. ¡°No it can not be!¡± I yell out. I see the huge creature. It is a flare troll. I killed one to many fire trolls. Flare trolls are the protectors of fire trolls. They are huge, at least three times my height. Not only are they not harmed by fire just like fire trolls, but they are able to launch fire based attacks. It sees me stomps its food, and I am launched into the air, all the way over a canyon edge. I am now falling I do not wish to die, suddenly my shoulder blades begin to ache, it feels like something is stabbing through me but from the inside. I flap my shoulder blades and gently glide down to safety. ¡°Wait a minute that is not right.¡± I say in shock. ¡°How can I glide to safety with my shoulder blades?¡± I ask myself out loud. I reach my hand to the back of me touch my shoulder blade, or what should have been my shoulder blade. What I ended up touching are my wings. I now have wings. This was even more shocking than finding out I had claws. I tried flapping them, and to my surprise, I rise slightly into the air. I flapped harder and rise even higher. I stopped flapping and let myself flow gently to the ground. I rested for a bit and my wings went back inside me. I came to understand how to bring them out at will. I just had to remember the feeling of not wanting to go splat on the ground. Sixth Entry To avoid the flare troll I did not try to fly back up the canyon, instead I went around. While traveling through the canyon I picked up many rare herbs, which could only be found there. Mana forest, Life blood, and Wake drop leaves. Mana forest was used to recharge mana. Life blood could heal all wounds and cure any ailment. Wake drop leaves stimulate the minds of the unconscious, which allows them to get up and move once more. I only have a small bag, and am only able to carry ten of each herb. I come across a stone tablet, that seems to tell the story of a legendary hero. A man whom fought against the god of death, in order to prevent the spread of a certain illness from leaving his village. His sister was the sole survivor of the illness and was almost at the end of her life. His actions saved his sister but he had to give up his own mortal life to the god of death in exchange for ridding the world of the illness once and for all. The man is now a reaper of the death god. Unlike the monsters, he saves souls when he is able to, and can cure certain illness before they become wide spread. He is a legendary hero, not because of what he did for his sister, but because of what he can now do for mankind. Humans no longer die in their thirties from illnesses. He is also the reason so many new herbs are given life. I think the stone tablet has been brought her as a thank you for these herbs, which I was currently harvesting until just a little while ago. I finally make it back to my village. My brother is standing at the entrance to our home. ¡°Took you long enough to return.¡± He says to me with a bitter tone. ¡°I ran into some unforeseen trouble, but I am fine.¡± I tell my brother. I head to the local herbalist after that. I pace her the Mana forest and Life blood. I am going to have her make me some potions. Mana blood, is the one that is my highest priority. Mana blood potions could be used to induce an auto healing effect in the body. Mana forest supercharges your body with mana, and your mana is programmed by the effects of Life blood to heal you. Healing magic gives the same healing effect, but it is not continuous. Mana blood potions last for about three hours after consumption. You would think that is good enough, however if you are knocked unconscious, you are at the mercy of monsters. Your body still heals but at a slower rate, so you end up taking on more wounds than you could heal at any one time. That is why I also had her make one Mana waking drop necklace. I only had her make one because the effects could only be used for three days. The Wake drop leaves by themselves last longer, but could not be used if traveling alone If I wanted these things made outside of the village, then payment was needed. Thankfully our herbalist, loved getting any chance to work with rare herbs. I left after receiving what I wanted. My planes for the next day are a lot different than today. The next day I woke up early and headed to the highest mountain peak. I was going to train my flying skills, not only that but afterwards I was going to learn aerial combat. Yes there are people like my brother whom fight monsters in the air using dragons and other tamed monsters, but I was going to learn how actual aerial monsters fought. I thought about the feeling of not wanting to go splat, then the piercing sensation from my shoulder blades began. With that I began flapping my wings. Rising to the sky, I waited for a pigeon to pass. I then followed suit. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work.I choose the pigeon for now, because I did not want to put myself in an danger just yet. It rose and descended with the wind currents. I did the same, copying what I could. My body was a lot bigger than a pigeon. Following it around for about two hours, I decided to find another, faster bird to follow. I was in luck a crow game with in my sight. ¡°Alright time to follow you now.¡± I whisper just under my breath. Since it is bigger it also glides more smoothly than the pigeon, opening its large wings. This helps me a lot as well because, I can now see how a bigger creature flies. I now try to spread out my wings farther, it works. Crows being smart, it eventually notices me. I think to myself, well that is to bad. Instead of leaving, the crow challenges me to a race. I take suit, trying to pace ahead of it. Ducking under a tree branch, the crow uses it as a way to slow my movements. It does slow me down and the crow wins the race. An Idea comes to my mind after that. I will use the tree branches to help me dodge, and adjust my speed while flying, as a form of training. I do this for a long time afterwards. I am able to now go over and under branches that are about a foot away from one another, not only that, but because some branches curve at certain directions, I am now able to fly to the left and right as well. I fly back to the mountain peak, in order to rest myself for a while. Being well rested I find a hawk and follow it for a short while. Hawks seem to be a lot faster then crows, using the air pressure from its wings, they propel themselves forwards. I attempt this. The first few times I rise higher in the air, instead of going forwards, but once I am able to do this, I try the branches again as a form of training, but this time I go much faster, slamming my jaw against one of those branches. ¡°Man that hurt!¡± I yell out. Continuing this until I am tired once more. Back at the peak I decided it is finally time to learn to fight. I silently follow a carnivorous parrot. It is fighting with another male one over a mate. This is great because they show me how to slash with their talons in the air. I watch on carefully, they are now using their wings to cut one another. The fight is similar to watching the pride tiger and mage wolf fight, but adjusting their aim using flight. I watch many more monsters fight in the air. First I will catch a pigeon, then a crow, and finally a hawk. That is what I decided to do, before fighting any aerial monsters. Done with the hawk I headed to a nest of carnivorous parrots. The mother flew straight to me, its talon coming directly towards my face, I blocked with my left claw, noticing it raised its sharp wings, I also blocked with my right claw this time. I see its beak opening, I use my claws to turn my body around, and fly away as fast as possible. Once I am a good distance away, I charge forward with my claws forwards like a spear. I pierce through it, stopping its heart, it falls to the ground. My routine continues like this for several more hours. Suddenly the sound of thunder is heard above me, lightning shoots through me, I can not move. I begin to fall to my doom. Unlike last time I can not use my wings to save me. I see tree branches passing me by. If only I could grab one I think. A pain similar to the one for my wings shoots through my lower back. I grab the tree with my tail. Well lucky for me my tail can still move. I think to my self. ¡°Wait tail!¡± I am barley able to say, being paralyzed everywhere but my tail. Seventh Entry Hanging from up top of the tree branch, as I waited for the rest of my body to regain function, many thoughts shifted through my mind. One of the key thoughts here was, picking up some paralysis temper. By itself it could be used to relive paralysis of another person, but when combined with mana forest, it could be made into a paralyze charm. The process involved crushing both leaves together, then binding them by rolling them against a pendant made of wind crystal. The wind crystal soaks up the herbs essence, and vibrates once it has filled completely with the herbs. Wind crystals are magic crystals, they can create tiny burst of fresh air. Being supercharged by the mana forest, the wind crystal surrounds the wearer with something similar to an air barrier, it then disperses the paralysis temper into that barrier. This means that by wearing that charm, you did not need someone else to give you paralysis temper. Another key thought going through my head, was what to do with my tail, and how to bring it out on command. I knew it would be wise to train how to fight with my tail as well. The optimal choice would be to find some prime monkeys. Prime monkeys used their powerful tails to crush their prey. Its true that they only crush their prey with their tails, so after watching them for a little while, I would have to find another creature that uses their tail to fight. Three hours passed, I could now move again. Two hours ago I regained the use of my hands and fingers, an hour after that, I could move my arms, shoulders and toes. I could now finally move my feet, legs, and wings. I flew back to just outside my village. I did not want anyone to know I could fly just yet. On the way back I had collected some carnivorous parrot teeth. I would be trading them at the market tomorrow for some paralysis temper. I awoke the next morning flew to another village that sold paralysis temper, got what I needed, stopped at the fire troll canyon, picking up some mana forest. Before returning to the village I went and hunted some baby mimics, being careful not to get to close to any until I was sure it was dead. I used my claws to tear out their hearts. I needed something to cover the cost of the wind crystal pendent. I was going to have a custom one made, that is why I collected more than what you would normally need for one. I went into the mine finding a wind crystal that was the perfect size. Now all I needed was the string. I found some rose owls. Rose owls use their vines like wings to fly. They have rose buds blooming from the top of their head. Their young are breed by shooting the seeds from their eyes into decaying corpses. Sometimes they will shoot seeds at enemies, which can then spread toxin to the victims, if you do not remove them quickly. Not only do they use their vines to fly, but they often use them as whips. While fighting this thing, a sudden realization occurs to me. I could use my tail in the same Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.manner as its vines. My tail seems to be almost as flexible as those vines. As one of the vines comes towards me, I block it with my tail.¡°So I was right!¡± shouting with joy in my voice. I continue to repel the vines with my tail, each time the vines are coming from a different direction, so my tail is becoming more and more flexible, each time I block each strike. You have to keep in mind that it has two vines, so I block the other with my hands. When it notices that neither vine is working, seeds start to shoot from its eyes. ¡°Shoot, not good!¡± I scream out. I use my wings to fly out of the way. I am safe but a small animal gets hit by the seeds. It would be trouble if it calls for its mother. I approach it, breath a small flame to deal with the seeds, it then runs of somewhere. It is at that point I realize I can now control the size of my fire breath. When more seeds come to me and latch onto my body, I breath a small fire onto the area, which helps allows the seeds to then fall off. Okay so I have now had enough of this, I fly forward, breath fire into they eyes of the rose owl. It can no longer shoot seeds at me, or could it see. I use my claws to cut through the vines, detaching them from the rose owl. I burn it to ashes, so it will no longer suffer. I head to the blacksmith, give him the payment and materials. It takes about an hour for him to finish. I decided to fight some more rose owls while I waited. I now have a firm grasp on how to move my tail agilely. Once ready I head back to our village and have our herbalist make me a paralysis charm. Her granddaughter is there watching her as she works. She is so young and very timid. I estimate that she is about five or six years old. Her eyes sparkle with enthusiasm, and excitement watching her grandmother work on my paralysis charm. When she is done I thank her and head to the prime monkey forest. I watch as they crush their prey with their tails. They slam their tails down with full force against their bodies. I also notice that they do not just use their tails to crush their prey. Sometimes they will use their tails to create a small shock wave to make the prey loose their footing, and fall to the ground. I am flying over head so this does not affect me at all. I find a small area with many small creatures to practice these techniques on. I can now mange to make ostrich deer fall to the ground, as well as crush their bodies with the force of my tail. I remember how I held onto the tree branch, I decide to try something. I warp my tail around the neck of one of the ostrich deer, apply pressure, and crush its neck. Since I am killing them anyways, I decide to make a nice ostrich deer stew. Once I am finished eating, I pack the left overs in a magic container, for later consumption. I continue each form of training for the next several weeks. I have developed many techniques using a combination of each skill. I am now able to use my fire breath while flying to go in reverse. Using my tail to hold my enemies, I strike them repeatedly with my claws. This is just a few of the things I learned how to do. Savior, Cursed, and Despair Rest Period As you can see this man is very interesting. I wonder what he did after all that training. Many people are about to learn of this man, and he will have a great impacted on this world. Eighth Entry I repeat this training routine for several months. I am now able to beat flare trolls with ease. Early in the morning a letter arrives for my brother. He is being summoned by the king. He tells me he will be gone for the next six weeks. Two days have passed since he left. I see a women arrive into our village. ¡°Where have I seen her before?¡± I ask my self in a hushed tone. It finally occurs to me. It is the red headed, emerald eyed girl which tried to kill my brother. She is not alone. How did I not realize this sooner. They where not there on that day. The mob which my brother antagonized. It was to late to stop what was happening. They were torching the village. I watch on in horror as many of the villagers die. ¡°Oh no, they are headed to the herbalist!¡± I shout. I spread my wings and fly to them. I knock on the door. ¡°Get out now, it is not safe!¡± My voice filled with panic. ¡°What is all the shouting about?¡± The herbalist ask me. That is when she sees what is going on. Grabbing her granddaughter¡¯s hand she runs the opposite direction of the mob. Lucky for them no one notices. The unicorn protector member notices me. ¡°You freak, where is your brother.¡± Her words barring hate in them. ¡°He is not in this village!¡± Screaming my reply to her. ¡°I have an anti fire ward charm, so you can not hurt me with your fire breath like last time.¡± These words are spoken while she is sneering at me. ¡°You do not even have a weapon, you will be killed here by my hands.¡± Slipping from her toughen are these words. Her knife in her hand, she approaches me. Her blade swings forward, I doge. ¡°You can not keep that up forever.¡± I hear her say. When the next swing comes, I do not doge, but instead I slash her fingers with my claws. Shock appears as she drops the knife. She is no longer able to hold it. She uses her other hand to pick it back up and slashes once more. I do the same thing to her other hand. I have now bought enough time for the herbalist to escape with her granddaughter. I spread my wings and fly upwards. ¡°How can this be possible? Humans cannot fly!¡± Her face and words filled with so much shock, it seems like she will pass out at any moment. I watch from the sky as my home is being burnt to ashes. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.I have been resting at the inn of a nearby large village for several days now. This is the same village where my brother got his new sword. It was to big for the unicorn protector girl to do the same thing she did to my village, and was under the protection of the kingdom. The herbalist and her granddaughter have also made it here. I am now walking through the black market. I over her a conversation. ¡°They are keeping a girl who can grant wishes.¡± ¡°Really, that is such in interesting story.¡± Oh, but it is not a story.¡± ¡°That is to crazy for it not to be a story.¡± ¡°Apparently they are treating her like a slave.¡± ¡°Why would they do that?¡± ¡°This girl can grant anyone wishes.¡± ¡°Wait, anyone.¡± ¡°Yeah that is right.¡± ¡°That means she is more valuable than a unicorn!¡± ¡°At least by a hundred times, if not more.¡± ¡°I wish I could have her.¡± My stomach turns as I hear that last part. I need to save her, my thoughts seem to be telling me. I listen around town for anymore rumors about her, or where I can find her. Two days pass and I hear it. ¡°We will be taking the wish granting girl across the ocean.¡± ¡°Bingo!¡± I say to myself. I wait for the boat to leave the harbor. When it is far enough out I use my wings to fly on board. No one has noticed me yet. I sneak pass many scary looking guys. I go down the steps of a small room leading down into the ship. I watch and see the girl. ¡°I wish for a magic arrow.¡± One man says to the girl in front of him. I watch in amazement as the arrow appears before him. ¡°So it is true.¡± I whisper to myself. ¡°I have come to save you my lady!¡± I charmingly say to her. ¡°I wish this man dead.¡± Her captive states. ¡°I am sorry but that wish can never be granted.¡± The girl states. ¡°Why not, you have killed others with your wish granting for me.¡± The man asks. Then the girl replies. ¡°This man is unaffected by all forms of wishes.¡±Wait a minute I think to myself, how can that be? You see the only thing in the world that is unaffected by all wishes are dragons. I knew for a fact that I was a human. Hold on a second, can humans breath fire? ¡°No.¡± Did Humans have claws? ¡°No.¡± Could humans fly ¡°No¡± Did humans have tails? ¡°No¡± Since when was I a dragon and how? ¡°I will kill you myself then!¡± the man tells me. As he is approaching me, I say to the girl. ¡° I wish for you to be safe by my side. ¡°I can grant that wish since it involves myself and not you directly.¡± I fight off the pirates with all my power, making sure they can not get any words in. This girl is stunningly beautiful. Her mid length violet hair, her shimmering blue and pink eyes, and her delicate skin. She as also just a bit shorter then me. I fly back to the inn carrying her in my arms. ¡°Thank you so much for your help, my name is Stream.¡± The girl tells me as we are flying. Ninth Entry Stream and I head into the mountain cove area, we came to search for a certain metal substance. It was a substance needed to make a wish repelling caller. Unicorn breeders used it to prevent others from getting wishes granted by their unicorns. We needed for a necklace for Stream, so that she would not be granting any wish unintentional. We would make it removable for when she wanted to grant wishes. As we arrived at the shoreline it headed towards us. A monkey drake. Monkey drakes have the shape of a monkey but the hide of a drake. It has two different types of tails, one of a monkey, and one of a drake. Its spine is a sharp fin like spike coming out of its back. Its fire breath has a shorter range than a dragon, but it spreads widely to the sides. Lashing out its monkey tail it tries to strike Stream, however a light blue glow appears around her and suddenly the tail head towards me instead. I block with my claws. It tries to attack her again, this time with the drake tail, the same blue light appears around her again, and heads for myself once more. I try to block with my claws again but the force of its tail launches me into the air. I spread my wings, catch the air current and stabilize my position. The monkey drake places its feet and hands onto the ground just below where I am flying, it pushes down with both of them, then both tails also go down, it uses the force to spring itself into the air. ¡°What the!, No! No! Why?¡± I yell in a panic. The spine hits my back stunning me and I hurl to the ground. I fall onto a boulder, it shatters to pieces. Stream looks in shock at me, and then the boulder that is now just a bunch of rocks. ¡°That must have really hurt!¡± her kind words are heart warming. I just realized, she is right it should have hurt but it did not. I remember the time my brothers enchanted sword shattered. ¡°I do not understand, it should have, but it did not.¡± I tell her with confusion. ¡°No time for chatting, it is coming back for you.¡± Stream yells in panic. How do I beat this thing I wonder. I decided to try something. I let out my claws, breath fire on them, the fire is now swirling around them like a snake. The monkey drake tries to attack me with it drake tail again, I block with my claws, but not with the claws themselves, but with the flame surrounding them, so the force does not repel me back. The monkey drakes tail starts to burn. It tries to ram me using its spine, I block again with my flame claws. The spine gets burnt as well The monkey drake is now in pain. The next tail comes from behind, I counter it, so it ends up burning as well. ¡°Now is your chance!¡± Stream encourages me to finish of the monkey drake. I rush towards it, using my wings to form momentum, I put my claws out like a javelin, and the flame melts its hide as I rip out its heart in an instance. ¡°Wow, you are amazing!¡± Stream blushes while Did you know this story is from Royal Road? I think to myself, I am so lucky to have met such a beautiful women. ¡°Stop staring, would you?, it is so embarrassing!¡± Stream looks away after these words slip out of her lips. We continued our search for the metal substance. We find it after yet another fight with a monkey drake. ¡°Man these things are hard to deal with.¡± I whisper to Stream. ¡°Yeah they are, but you have manged to do it twice now.¡± a sly tone in her voice while she tries her best not to let her worry show on her face. We head to the blacksmith, after four days our request was complete. I gave him the tails and spines of both monkey drakes as payment. He did find it an odd thing to make. Stream and I decided to head on an adventure together. Now we had come to a small village just next to the mounting shoreline. We knocked on the door of one of the village homes. There was no answer, but as we knocked the wind blow the door opened, a family lay dead before our eyes. ¡°I have a bad feeling about this¡± Stream is shaking while I listen to her words. We go to the next house, the same thing, and again, and yet again. All of the people in the village seemed to be dead. The last house in the village, by now we just opened the doors with out knocking. Their is a young man kneeling on the floor, tears welling up in his eyes. I approach him put my arms around him. ¡°What? No don¡¯t, you will end up like them!¡± The man tells me. I let go of him. ¡°What happened her?¡± Both Stream and I ask in unison. ¡°About a month ago I was cursed, I was fighting a poison slime, when a blinding light surrounded me, and then the slime was gone.¡± He goes on to tell us that at first he was with a monster hunting team, one of them fell, so he helped them up, with in the next two minutes they died. No one believed him when he said it was his fault. So the monster hunting continued, until each one of his team mate had died. No one would believe him still. People tried to comfort him, but each time ended up dead.Until his family tried. This was them on the ground. ¡°What!¡± Stream shouted. ¡°Wait why are you still alive?¡± The man ask me. From his story everyone had died with in two minutes. Yet I had not. I ask him. ¡°do dragons die to poison slime?¡± ¡°Why no they do not, why do you ask¡± he questions me. I explain to him what happened up to the point of meting him and Stream. ¡°I see, so maybe that is why.¡± he tells me. Stream then tells both of us how she use to be a mage and was hunting unicorns when a blinding light surrendered her and all the unicorns disappeared, after that is when she could grant wishes, but lost all her magic power. ¡°Why do you not travel with us for now?¡± I ask the man. ¡°Alright it seems like a good plane to me, my name is Moonbeam.¡± Moonbeam tells me his name. Tenth Entry Moonbeam, Stream, and I had decided to go collect materials for trading and crafting. We headed towards one of the local beaches. It was known to have ripple tigers. Ripple tigers uses their paws to walk across any water source contains saltwater. It uses a special substance in its paws to stand on the salt itself, as a result it can move across the water. This substance also allows it to manipulate the body of water to its will. The ripple tiger makes a wave to pull in any prey towards it, then creates a whirlpool to drown the victim. As we approached the edge of the water, a wave started to grow, and was heading straight to us. A faint blue light surrounded stream, and then pushed her far away from the wave coming towards all of us. Both Moonbeam and I had been pulled in opposite directions, each nearing our own ripple tiger. Unfortunately for the one that pulled in Moonbeam, it pulled him so close that they touched it was now dead. As for me, I was struggling to free myself from a whirlpool the nearest me had made. At last I used my tail to reverse the whirlpools momentum. I spread my wings and flew into the air. I was trying to get a better vantage point. It made a title wave, trying to get at me. Half the town was about to be destroyed, and it was my fault. I yelled to stream. ¡°Quick talk of the necklace!¡± Stream complied and then I made a wish out loud. ¡°I wish for the wave to be ten times smaller!¡± An orange light started to fill the inside of the title wave, and as it did, it begun to shrink. Soon it had become an average sized wave. The ripple tiger was confused. I used this chance to take out my claws and, fly down towards it like a meteor, my arms outstretched with my claws being at the center. The ripple tiger had no time to react, its blood soaking on to my wrist and stomach. I took the body to the shore and dismembered all its legs. We did this with many more ripple tigers until it was time to eat each of our meals. During this time I asked Moonbeam ¡°Will you be able to trade your materials with out harming anyone?¡± Then Moonbeam answered my question. ¡°As long as they do not touch me directly on any of my body parts, they will not be affected, I seem to be the only carrier.¡± We had may conversations like this one. Stream had put back on her necklace, after it seemed like none of the ripple tigers would make another title wave. We also ended up fighting a few sand bears latter. Sand bears travel under the sand and use vibrations to sense their prey. They do this by placing their paws in front of themselves while under the sand. Once they find something they dig upwards, which due to force as they dig creates a sand stream upwards. It is very disorienting when you are not aware it will happen. The sand bears use this confusion to tear at the prey it has found. When it comes to humans they can recover much faster than other creatures. It was funny when they would go after Stream, the wish I had made for stream to be safe around me would take affect. Stream would suddenly start to float in mid air, and be moved slightly away from where the sand blast would form. The sand bear would look around in a confused state, and then go after me or Moonbeam. When it got to Moonbeam, as soon as it made any contact, it would die on the spot. The ones that came after me I would first set their fur on fire, then blind them with my claws. I would then pin their claws down with my tail and fly upwards, toss them in the air, then I would fly through them with my claws in front of me. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. The sand bears claws are a great trade material as well. Stream decided to see the local herbalist, formerly from my own village, while Moonbeam and I headed to the blacksmith. We had him make some beach boots for the three of us. I traded some sand bear claws for a nice bracelet made from aqua tear. This would use the mana from the aqua tear to create air bubbles, to breath under water. This would only last about ten minutes with each use. Once we had finished getting things made and trading, we met back up with Stream. The next day we decided to head to a snow peak mountain. The snow there was special, it could not melt unless magic was used on it.We arrived to the mountain, but we could not predict what was unfolding in front of us. A young woman with hair that was glowing the color of the sun, threw a sword downwards with the handle striking and planting into the ground. This woman was on top of the mountain and the sword landed perfectly into the ground like that. Then we watched as she jumped, of the mountain directly onto the sword. It pierced her center, and because of the height she jumped from, her body was split in half. Stream, Moonbeam and I all screamed in unison. Then her body started to move, each peace heading towards the other. They began to, what seemed to us, sew themselves back together. ¡°What?¡± Stream asked me. ¡°Do bodies do that?¡± Moonbeam asked both Stream and I. I was silent. The woman now stood in front of me. ¡°1301 attempts, and no results, I hate this world.¡± This was what she said to herself as tears flowed from her eyes. She had yet to notice us. When she finally noticed us she stared and then said. ¡° So you all saw that, just pretend this never happened.¡± ¡°We can not do that!¡± I say to her. ¡°I will do anything to help someone in need.¡± She looked at me as I told her this. ¡°What can you do to help, no one can.¡± She was trying to get me to give up on her with these words. I then blurt out ¡°We can be your friends!¡± Shock spreads across her face. ¡°Friends? No one has ever asked to be my friend.¡± The woman hesitates before saying her next words. ¡°Fine if you really want to, we can be friends.¡± I and the rest of us accept her as our mew friend. She then tells us her name. ¡°My name is Raven Star.¡± Raven Star tells us about why she has been trying to kill herself. She had been abused by both parents. One day when she finally had enough of it all she went to the volcano and jumped in as she was falling, a phoenix passed above her and a blinding white light filled the sky and herself. When she came to the phoenix was gone and she was on the volcano edge instead of the lava. She then jumped in again. She felt the lava as it burned her alive. Then she woke up in a cavern underneath the volcano. This made her think the volcano would not let anyone die in it. She told us of every attempt she tried up to the point of meeting us. This also included all the pain she described. Stream, Moonbeam, and I decided we would never, ever commit suicide. We also told our stories to Raven Star. She began to understand why she could not kill herself. Eleventh Entry Stream, Moonbeam, Raven Star, and myself walked behind the mountain. We are trying to find some monsters to fight. Raven Star¡¯s sword is in a sheath attached to her back. We look around the area. We see a river with half of it being frozen, this gives us a path to try and walk across. Walking along the path we soon come to a clearing. This clearing has many flowers blooming from it. The flowers all seem incredibly beautiful, I pause for a minute to take in the sent. Raven Star dose this as well. Tears start to fall down her face. ¡°I never knew, that there was anything so wonderful in this world.¡± Raven Star is saying to all of us. I then tell her. ¡°We will show you many more wonderful things as you travel with us.¡± ¡°Really, thank you so much for anything you show me, that is as wonderful as this.¡± catch her breath between each word, as she cries. I walk to pick up one of the flowers, I want to give it to Raven Star. When I finally get to one of the most beautiful looking flowers, it bites me, then it stands up. ¡°Oh no! Guys some of these appear to be rose tamers.¡± I warn them. It seemed I was to late in the warning and now each of us had to fight one. To in my case because of the wish I mad to keep Stream safe by my side. Rose tamers are tinny mole like creatures that dig into the soil of near by flowers. When they hit the roots they merge with the flowers and become one in order to hide. Rose tamers also increase the life span of the flowers they merge with, as well as their growth rate. The flower petals can also be used as a form of defense. They shoot the petals out and they become razor sharp. The petals quickly grow back after they launch them forwards. I can not get close to either of the ones I am fighting. The petals are blocking me from seeing wear they are. The petals also come back before my fire breath can deal with them. I now watch as Raven Star is fighting the one closest to herself. She has taken out to small daggers from each side of her waist. She uses her daggers to cut through the petals in front of her. It is in a manner and speed much faster then my fire breath can react. She stabs forward using her left blade. She leaps upwards, while raising the blade with her. When Raven Star reaches the rose tamers throat, she rotates to the right and the head of the rose tamer falls off. She plucks the flower from the head of the rose tamer. Raven Star places the flower behind her right ear. It as blue and complements her sun glowing hair. Moonbeam has finished the one he was fighting long ago. The rose tamer scratched him, and quickly died. I now felt left out. I bring out my tail, wings, and claws. I surround my claws and tail with fire from my fire breath. I use my fire breath first to get rid of what is in front of me. Then I use my claws and tail while flying to deal with the new wave of petals. I rotate my body in the same manner, I just saw Raven Star do. This allows me to clear out the petals and get close enough to kill both rose tamers. I keep to of the back feet of the rose tamers I killed. They could be used as a fertilizer to help plants grow much faster then they would usually need to. I planed on giving it to the herbalist and her granddaughter. We fought many more monsters after this as well. Nothing to extreme just some ice toads as well as some carnivorous parrots. We decided to travel to another village. It seemed like we would have to pass through many caves on the way there. One of these caves we had to fight some baby mimics. Myself and Moonbeam have no problems fighting them. Raven Star on the other hand got herself hypnotized. The baby mimic was training her of blood. We watch in horror as it kills her and then eats her romaines, leaving only her eyeballs. The rest of the baby mimics have now been dealt with. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.Raven Stars eyes begin to vibrate and rise into the air. Soon a brain appears behind her eyeballs. Continuing like this for a while the rest of her body begins to reform. She is back to her old self. Raven Star screams once her body is fully intact. ¡°Do not ever let me die in that manner again.¡± Agreeing to this term we head through the next few caves. It has become night before we finally reach the village. There is a huge fire in the center of this village. Many people are walking around. ¡°It would seem like this is a festival of some sort.¡± I tell the rest of my group. Raven Star is the first to speak up. ¡°I have always wanted to try the cotton candy at one of these things.¡± This statement was directed at me. I approach one of the vendors and hand him an ice toad toughen as payment. The vendor uses this to make frozen cotton candy afterwards. Reaching a small house near by we notice that all the people have looks of fear and anger whenever they would pass it. I see a small baby in the back yard. A man throws a large rock at the baby boy. It hits him in the back and he starts to bleed and cry. The mother comes out tears and an angry face, that seem to be telling the man to get lost. I walk towards the woman and ask why anyone would do that to a baby. She tells us that it was not always like this. Everyone use to get along with her and her son. For some reason Raven Star is shaking in fear. It does not seem to be from what just happened, but rather she seems afraid of the baby boy. ¡°Are you alright Raven Star?¡± I ask her. ¡°I think so, I do not know why I am shaking.¡± Her words trembling as she answers. The woman then explains why everyone is afraid and hates her and her baby boy. ¡°A few months ago I was gardening outside with my baby boy, when suddenly a blinding white light filled the area.¡± She paused before continuing her story. ¡°The next morning, I had a visitor. He was trying to sell me something I did not want. I was getting annoyed and he was getting inpatient. He tried to force me to buy his product, at this point my boy noticed and stared at him. A short while after that, the man left without saying anything.¡± The woman told us more stories similar to this one. I was starting to understand what had happened. A baby mimic must have been nearby when the woman was gardening. Her baby boy could now use the hypnotic abilities of the baby mimic. This would also explain why Raven Star was shaking in fear. She had recently been killed by a baby mimic. I tell everyone to explain to the woman what happened to us so far. She listens but dose not believe us at first. So I show her my claws, tail and fire breath. I also let Stream grant a wish for her. We would not demonstrate Moonbeam or Raven Star¡¯s abilities. We did not want anyone dying or leaving terror in their hearts from the sight of Raven Star dying. It is at this point when I made a decision. ¡°I would like to build a village for people like us.¡± I tell all the people in this room. They all agree to it, and we leave to find a place to live. Deep in the center of the woods we find a nice place. I ask Stream to take of her necklace. I make a wish for the items we need to make a village. I only wished for the items because I felt it would be better for us to work together on making the village. Moonbeam stayed far away from the woman and her baby boy. He did not want to end up killing either of them. It has been several months now since we started and everything is about done. When the last home is finished I make another wish with Streams abilities. ¡°I wish for everyone to be safe while they are in this village.¡± A bright purple light fills the sky. I head to the village the herbalist has been staying in. I ask her if they would like to move into our village. She readily agrees. Her granddaughter was now about six years old. When we finally got to the village, the herbalist granddaughter seen the baby boy and began playing with him. Both of them seemed to get along great. We could live the rest of our lives in this village.
