《Horde Hunter》 1- Prepare for Battle The fish were not biting. Oh well. For Zull fishing was his one escape in this brutal war. For decades they have been fighting against the Alliance, in a seemingly endless war. He thought that if he joined the war, it would make a difference, but it doesn''t feel that way. It was summer, or at least it always felt like summer in Orgrimmar. The blasted sands, and thick clouds of dust covering their dented armor. Orcs, Trolls, undead, tauren and blood elves all fighting together. At least this war has united the Horde with a common enemy. Zull is a hunter, so he''s always with a beast of some sort. Today his companion is a raptor, something feared by many, but loved by trolls. Other races tend to fear or are disgusted with the trolls appearance, their enormous height, pointed noses, and large hands. But the horde has never feared them, because they are all equal. The alliance may call us monsters, but that doesn''t mean we are. Before Zull joined the horde army, he never thought he would kill anybody, except animals for food like he''s always done. But the alliance seeks to wipe them out, to crush their way of life. For that they must be destroyed, whether good or bad, it''s just how it is. Sometimes others have to die for some to survive, that''s the way of this world. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. Lost in thought while fishing, Zull didn''t notice the Orc warchief approach him,"Zull! the humans are nearing the encampment, prepare for battle!" "Yes, sir" Unlike the orcs, the trolls weren''t all that battle hungry, they prefer peace, but if that peace is threatened; they will fight just as savagely for it. Grabbing onto his bow, and putting on his helmet, Zull prepares for battle. Reaching the end of the encampment, there was a defensive line of orcs, followed by the spellcasters. Being a hunter, he tends to fight in the middle , but he could fight from close combat or from a distance, due to his bow and sword. Suddenly large fireballs rain upon them, only to be knocked away by the casters defensive barrier. Still, having explosions bounce away from near your head can be a bit shocking. Suddenly he hears loud roars into the distance, the enemy warriors have finally clashed upon them. hearing screams and seeing blood in the distance, he can only wait nervously as the sweat beads upon his brow. 2- Savagery Bloodlust is now consuming the Orc warriors. They gain ridiculous strength, but lose the ability to think calmly and analyze the situation. Zull has no idea what goes through their mind when their eyes turn so red like that. Even the most peaceful Orc can change due to the rage of battle. Trying to remain calm and steadfast, Zull grips his bow and finds a target. A small inconspicuous caster who is healing the wounded will be his target. Taking out the casters could sway the tide of the battle. Zull sends his Raptor into a sprint to avert the casters attention. As soon as he sees the beginning words of a spell, Zull looses a volley of arrows directly towards him. The small caster crumples due to an arrow in his chest with a small yelp. One down. Suddenly a human warrior appears from his left, who managed to escape from his field of vision during the chaos of battle. Due to his quick reflexes, Zull barely manages to dodge the large warhammer which smashes down right in front of him, causing a deep crevice in the earth. This doesn''t seem to be just an ordinary warrior, he managed to break through the strong defensive line of powerful orcs. Meeting his eyes, he could feel the intense glare of hatred permeating from his opponents eyes. Kill or be killed. Survival of the fittest, that is the reality of war. For Zull to survive, his opponent must now die. drawing his sword out, he has his raptor encircle behind the opponents rear stealthily in order to defeat him. The man rushes forward and brings his massive warhammer above his head, ready to kill me in one blow; but at that very moment I signal the raptor to bite at the back of his legs, holding him in place. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. "Argh!" He swings the warhammer wildly in a circle, in order to defeat his invisible opponent. At that very moment, I lunge forward and manage to stab him through the chest, seeing one last glimmer in his eyes before the deep coldness of death. A sharp pain stings at my back, almost numb. I reach for it only to feel warm blood run through my fingers, but now is not the time to give in to panic or fear. Consumed by pure adrenaline, I swiftly turn around to shoot at my opponent with a hastily drawn bow, only to have my body feel cold and numb, my fingers no longer have the strength to draw an arrow. A warlock''s curse! Writers comments: still a bit new to writing and anything beyond first person POV. Not sure how well I mixed first and third person POV, if I made a mistake or did it wrong let me know. thanks for reading :)
