《Lost in Time!》 Lost in Time! Part 1 This is my very first story I had in mind, so I hope you guys who read this can tell me a review so I know what to fix or not fix.
Hey there, my name is Chikonto Sweetcheer, but everyone calls me Chi-Chi, and even though I seem like an average high school student on the outside, I''m actually a strong gamer geek on the inside. It currently is the year 2158, and Earth has developed quite a bit. Believe it or not, but I am actually ranked #1 in the world! The large group of people that I am usually online with consists of 11 people that go to my school. We happen to be in the same grade, so we ended up turning into really good friends. I still haven''t told my group how good I am, because I''m worried they might hate me for it, so I always make sure that I don''t play too hard, in case they figure it out. The group itself has 7 boys, and 4 girls. Their names being, from boys to girls: Brad, Chad, Simon, Cameron, Andrew, Carson, Coloreo, Sommer, Katie, Emma, and Lucy. As far as short descriptions go, Brad and Chad are twin brothers, Simon and Cameron are cousins, Andrew and Carson are simply good friends, Coloreo, or as we call him, Cole, is my brother, Sommer, pronounced "Summer", is my bestie, Katie and Emma are sisters, and finally, Lucy is somewhat secretive of her life so we don''t know her family background. I believe we are ready to start the story now so let''s get it started!
"hey, did you guys hear about that new game that''s coming out tomorrow? ''Lost in Time'', I think it''s called," Chad asks, as he is eating his lunch at school with the "Group". "Duh, who hasn''t? It''s supposed to be the major hype of this year," Brad replies with a slight, snarky attitude. "I already pre-ordered the ''Special Edition'', so I''m supposedly going to get some special features unlocked," I tell them. It surprises me, though, because after I say that, everyone just stares at me in question. I then ask them, "What, did I say something wrong,". "Yeah, you did. Since when was there a pre-orderable edition? At that, a ''Special Edition''," Katie says, quite curious in the conversation now. "You guys didn''t see the-..." I thought for a second before talking. "Oh right, it was a 4 hour deal only, and they didn''t advertise it, and I''m pretty sure I was the only one to find out about it. That would probably explain it," I say, with a solid tone of voice. "Well that''s no fair. What if someone really badly wanted it, but their internet was slow, so the order wouldn''t go through," I hear Emma say, oh so quietly. "Oh, and hey Chi-Chi, why didn''t you tell me about this when you first ordered it, hm," Cole asks, inquiringly. "Weeelllll... if you really want to know, I was kinda up late a couple nights ago, and I happened to come across it when I was on their homepage," I reply. "Wait, what time was it when you found it," Cole asks, again, inquiringly, as if this were an investigation. "Um, I don''t know the EXACT time, but I''m pretty sure it was somewhere around 1:30ish," I answer, hoping that this was the last question I would hear from Cole. "Seriously!? you were up that late at night!? What were you doing before it," This time, the question comes from Andrew. "Well, I was at first playing in the Worldwide Tournament for that so-called ''best first-person game'', but since I got first place, I decided that I should go look around for some other stuff I could do, or get, for later on. I happened to come across that pre-order edition, so I was going to-" before I finish my story I hear Carson cut me off. "WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! Did you just say you won first place in the Worldwide Tourney," Carson and everyone suddenly look intently at me. I was confused at first, wondering Why are they staring at me? Did I say something? Then I realized what I said, and immediately started to shrink in my seat. My secret might be finally set free! "Um, did I say that... ummmmm... ugh, the cat''s out of the bag, isn''t it," I say, in a quite sad tone. Then everyone, including my brother, all stand up and yell, "SERIOUSLY, YOU''RE THAT ''No Luck All Skill'' CHARACTER!?!?" After a few seconds, I finally say, "Do you guys think you could keep it down? I don''t want anyone else finding out about it. Even if I am that person, I hope you can still treat me as a fellow comrade, rather than a legend." "What in the world! My sister is a legendary player? Since when have you been keeping it a secret," Cole asks me. "Well, for you, it''s a different story, but for the others, I''ve been hiding it since we met," I tell the group. Everyone looks a little P-Oed, but my brother says the first thing after the short silence, "Well, how come whenever I watch you play, you''re never under that name? It''s always something random, like ''xXxXxEkcsxXxXx'' or ''true pain''?" I reply by telling him, "Well, that''s because I have fake accounts, so that you WOULDN''T find out." "Still, I''m your, brother, so you should''ve told me," Cole says, this time, quite demanding. "Well, if I did do that, you would''ve probably bragged in your classes saying things like, ''Hey, did you guys know that my sister is that really good gamer?'' and then that would spread farther and farther down the line of people that eventually people other than the school kids would know. People like the news, or gaming channels. That''s why I never told you," We sat in silence for the rest of lunch, questioning each other silently in our minds. "YES, it''s Saturday! Finally time to try out that new game when it gets here," I yell. As I say this, I hear the doorbell ringing. "I wonder who''s here..." When I go to the door, There is a man there with a medium-sized box, then asks me, "Are you Chikonto Sweetcheer?" I reply by saying, "Yes, I am her. Do you need something?" He tells me, "Yes, I need you to sign here." As he is saying this, he brings out a pamphlet with a little ''insert signature'' at the bottom. After I sign it, he takes it back, hands me the box, and bids me farewell. I didn''t think I ordered something this big, so I decided to open it cautiously. As I open, I come across a full set of gear, which includes a full headset, that which is similar to a ''Oculus Rift'' headset, a chord that plugs into the computer from the headset, a manual on how to set up the headset, a black armband that looks like it will be a snug fit, and finally, the game "Lost in Time" along with a separate code for the special unlocks. Wow! This is quite a setup for a game I think to myself. I get my phone, text the "group" that I am going to start playing the game, and I will be playing under the name "No Pain, No Game". Not waiting for a reply, I get started with the setup and follow the instructions as provided. To my surprise, other than putting the headset on last, the armband is put on last, but as soon as I put it on, it turns on like a seamless touchscreen TV. "Hey, this looks like it''s going to be a neat game," I say as I continue the setup by putting the game in the computer''s game drive, plugin the headset to the computer, put the headset on and turn it on. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. I immediately realize that I''m going into a virtual reality first-person game because of the setup menu, which i can literally walk around in! I sign in to my account, setup my name as "No Pain, No Game", and wait to see what''s next. This is one of those moments when I''m glad that I have Ethernet connected to my computer. It makes loading games like these perfectly crisp and non-laggy. I actually have a negative ping all of the time. The game now brings me to a ''create-your-character'' screen. Apparently there are 5 races, but after I input the special code, there ends up being six races. These races include: Human, Half-elf, Elf, Orc, Dragonborn, and Giant. You only get one character to use, so you have to choose your race wisely. I also heard that this game affects you in the real life in some way, but I have no clue what it means by this. The Giant is the special code race if you didn''t figure it out already. I Decided to go with the Giant race because it sounds special. Also, since I was apparently the first person in the game, I get better things to start with than other people. This includes perma-buffs, stats, and equipment. Next is the minor things, like details. Apparently, Giants start out looking like normal humans but end up growing taller by a good amount. I tried my best to make it look like the real me, so for a start I set my base height at 4''7", but with some adjustments, like a better and slimmer body, a cool face tattoo, black eyes with purple pupils in the shape of an on button, and a bright purple lightning shape scar that goes over my left eye. After I set up the details, it asks me what I want my body to look as an end product of my growth. I didn''t make myself end it too tall. Yes the max I could set it to was 14'' high, along with proportional measurements, but I set my height to be maxed out at 10''7" feet, the proportions of my body after its will be a slightly bulkier body, my cup size will change from a 30C to a 38DD (YAY!), and luckily my body will increase its stats by 8 all around whenever I gain 1'' in height. After this is setup, it asks me to choose my class. There are 7 classes total, 8 with the special code. The 8 that I can choose from include: Classic Thief, Classic Mage, Classic Warrior, Healer, Paladin, Gunslinger, Elementalist, and Unknown. Again, if you haven''t figured it out, the special code class is Unknown, and so I end up choosing this class. one of the perks of the Unknown is that you get a bit of every single class, while also getting to choose two other separate classes. The second perk of this class is that it''s weapon choice is the particle stuff that floats around you, which is called "Multi-tool Particles". In the end, I chose: Unknown, Healer, and Elementalist. These will definitely be useful in the future. Finally, after I finish all of this, it tells me to set my base stats. I get 25 points to spend between 5 stats. These 5 stats are: Strength, Vitality, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Speed. However, since I had that code, I also have a 6th stat, along with 15 bonus stat points due to being first logged in. This stat is called: 6th Sense. I''m pretty sure you know what the first five do, but what the sixth one does, is it allows me to have what they call "Mind''s Eye" which means I have better senses of all the basic five senses, and even when my eyes are unusable, I can see everything perfectly fine. I think I will keep this one a secret from the my group unless I have to end up telling them. As to how I spend these 40 stat points, I start by giving each one 5 points each, which leaves me with 10 points to use. I put 1 on each one, which then leaves me with 4 points left. I decided to put all 4 of these points on 6th Sense. In the end, my stats are set up as follows: Str-6, Vit-6, Wis-6, Int-6, Speed-6, 6th Sense-10. As I finish this, it asks me one last thing, which is what perma-buffs I want. There are 4 perma-buffs in all, but for each one you choose, it decreases the exp you gain at a time by 2.5% each. These four include: 7th Sense, Extreme Senses, Extreme Stat-Boost, and Free-Revival. What each of them do are quite special. 7th Sense is just as it entails, it gives you a seventh sense, which is being able to see auras. Extreme Senses basically heightens your senses by a dramatically large amount. Extreme Stat-Boost basically adds 15 points of stats to each stat. Free-Revival means that whenever I die, I automatically revive, but this buff has a cooldown of 3 minutes. I decided to choose all 4, since I''ll only be losing 10% exp per gain. After this is chosen, it welcomes me to the game, and I am spawned in. The second I look around to see where I am, I think to myself THIS IS A GAME!? I flop on the ground as I take in the surroundings, not realizing the fact that I could feel the short fall I took. Lost in Time! Part 2 Extremely short summary, ACTIVATE!"THIS IS A GAME!?" P.S. After Chi-Chi chooses the perma-buffs, her stats increase to: Str-21 Vit-21 Int-21 Wis-21 Spd-21 6Se-25; I''m also still open to reviews. P.P.S. Pre-written chapters will go ''till Ch 9
I slowly start to get up, as I realize that this game looks like it is going to be more than what I thought it to be. "Wow... Who would''ve thought someone would be able to make graphics that look almost too perfect," I finally say after a few minutes of staring. In a normal MMORPG Adventure, there are trial quests that you start out with, and so there is almost always a NPC whenever you start out fresh. Due this factor, and also the fact that I''m a huge gamer nerd, I wasn''t surprised to see a NPC pacing back and forth outside the spawn area. What really surprised me was how he spoke. "FINALLY!! What took you so long to get here!? I still have to tend to my family and you just take your sweet time to arrive," He tells me. I simply say sorry while being very much confused on the inside. "Let''s make this short and sweet. My name is Beird, and this is the village of ''StarGarden''. It got the name ''StarGarden'' because of all of the stars you see in the sky at night. According to the ancient history, there is supposed to be one great hero of many who arrive from which of unknown reasons, thus saying that you could possibly be that hero since I have no clue where you came from, nor do I know how you will develop so you should start your adventure by going to the blacksmith. I am not quite sure you will be the one, though, since your timing is terrible," After Beird says this, I receive a notification that sort of just floats in the air, so after I tap on it, it tells me that my journal log has been changed and the quest has been added. I didn''t know I had a journal to start so I check my whole clothing set still not finding anything similar to a journal. I think for a second, and realize something. "Journal," I say, and what do you know, a menu labeled "journal" shows up. The journal tells me what to do on the quest I am currently doing, and can also keep track of other quests in the background. After seeing this, I try other commands like "Options", "Profile", "Inventory", "Skills", etc. The one I think I''ll use the most, though, is "Main Menu", since it allows me to access everything from that menu selection. I also noticed that under the "Character Review" menu, I can manage my stats and equipment, but the menu is very realistic since it shows what I look like currently. This includes damage done to me. I decide it''s time to start my quest, so I head to the blacksmith and see what''s in store for me (no pun intended). The blacksmith sees me and says, "Welcome to my shop stranger! I don''t believe I''ve seen your face around before, so I''m gonna take a guess that you''re new in town. The name''s Hagar, by the way." "Yes... you could say that, I guess," I reply. "Well sweetie, you''re gonna have to tell me what your race is, and I''ll also need to know what your class is," He says with a cheerful smile. "Well, My race is Giant, and my classes are Unknown, Healer, and Elementalist. Though, I don''t need armor or weapons for Healer and Elementalist," I say. The second I say this, he stops for a few seconds of surprise, but then starts to take action. "So, you''re that type eh... Well! Lucky for you, I have only one type of equipment and weaponry for those two special types," He says. After He goes in the back for a while, he comes back with colorless armor, and a colorless cube that is quite large. This also all came along with 15 healing (HP) potions, mana (MP) potions, and 2 potions with a black fluid on the inside, so I ask him what they are. He says, "Oh, those? They are the potions that let you choose the colors of your weapon and armor," After I drink the 2 pitch-black potions, a customization menu pops up, so I start coloring my stuff. I make the armor''s primary color a reflecting yellow, and make the secondary color a shining orange, which kind of makes it look like the sun''s colors. As for the weapon, I make half of the mini-cubes inside that large cube black, while making the other half white. Once I finished, I equipped the armor, and after I touched the cube, it turned into a bunch of cubed particles, while keeping that checkerboard-ish color, and encircled me. I''m guessing this is that weapon called "Multi-tool Particles", I think. Hagar tells me one last thing before I leave. He says, "Also, since your class is Giant, The armor is what we call ''Flexi-Growth'' armor since it will adjust to your height and bodily proportions, while at the same time it levels up with you at the same time, almost as if it were a character itself. The weapon is similar since it also levels up and changes based on your level and height." "Thanks! Also, where should I go next," I ask him. "Oh, you should probably go look for the craftsman of this village. His name is Garith, and he''ll help you with your hunting objectives," he replies. I give a final thanks to Hagar, then I head off. I gained 2 levels from this quest, so I got 8 points, which means that you get 4 points for each level. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. As I''m walking, I think to myself, I wonder when everyone else is going to get here, so I decide to check the list of players online. Although, when I check it, there are more than 3,000 people online! So I slightly freak out, and say, "Wait! Where is everyone?!" I decided I should check my settings really quick to see if that has to do with anything, and what do you know, I have a setting turned on to where I can''t see or be seen by anyone I''m not in a party, or friends, with. So after seeing this, I looked for my friends to see if they were online, and I''m pretty sure they are since I have exactly 11 friend requests pending. I accept them all, and as I do, I see all of my friends show up. Surprisingly, they all set their avatars to look just like them, but with a few changes like me. I thought of a great idea.I should scare them with my eyes, since they don''t know what they look like and no one else thought of that idea. I''ll have my eyes closed until the right time comes. "Hey! There you are Chi-Chi," I hear Emma say, slightly far away. Now remember, since I have Sixth Sense, I can still see everything clearly, even if my eyes are currently unavailable. "Hey guys! I''m guessing you guys are already done with your first quest," I ask. "Yeah, we are, but why are your eyes closed," Cameron asks. I reply by saying, "Oh, they aren''t closed ''TOTALLY LYING!! PLEASE BUY IT!!'', and I can see perfectly fine ''Being truthful here'', but if you need to know, I find it fun to scare people with my eyes when I open them. I also open them when I get serious." "Oh, okay. Well, can we see what your eyes look like? Pwwweeeaaze," Sommer asks. When she is saying this, I reset my option of not being seen by anybody to being seen by everybody. I also guess I won''t really be able to open my eyes much anymore. "Oh, fine... Ready? here." As I say this, I move from "Mind''s Eye" to my real eyes and I almost die when I see their reaction. They all just stare for a good amount of time. Then finally, I hear Brad say, "Y-yeah... T-that would definitely freak someone out. On another note... How did you set it to where you can see perfectly fine, even when the eyes the look like they are closed." "Well, it''s just a setting I found in the customization menu," I say, hoping they won''t pry into the matter any longer, since I am consciously lying to them. "Oh, alright then. Well, let''s go into our classes, along with the weapon type, races, then the current level, and finally, the stat we''re ranged mostly around," Katie says, but I ask almost immediately to this statement by asking, "Why our levels?" Katie says, "Well, so that we know if someone has gone ahead, or is behind anyone. Simon, since you have the better memory, you should recite it." He simply says, "Oh... Alright..." "For the boys'' races: me and Carson chose Human; Chad and Andrew chose Dragonborn; Cameron chose Half-Elf; Cole chose Elf; finally, Brad chose Orc. For the girls'' races: Emma chose Human; Sommer and Lucy chose Half-Elf; lastly, Katie chose Elf. For the classes along with weapon type: Me and Cole chose Classic Mage, which comes with a staff; Carson, Chad, and Brad all went for Classic Warrior, which comes with a greatsword; Cameron and Andrew chose Paladin, which comes with a mace and shield; Katie chose Healer, which comes with a crucifix; Emma chose Gunslinger, which starts with two simple pistols; Lucy chose Classic Thief, which comes with two daggers; finally, in conclusion, Sommer chose Elementalist, which comes with a floating spell-book. For stats: Cameron and Andrew went for Vit; Me and Katie chose a Vit-Wis-Int type; Cole and Emma chose a Wis-Int type; Lucy went Str; Carson, Chad, and Brad all went for the all-around type; last, but not least, Sommer went for the Spd-Int type. Also, all of us are a flat out level 3 with no exp to share. What are yours?" "For my race, you''re going to have to find that out since it''s one of the ''Special Code'' items. I chose an all-around class with Spd leading by 1 point when possible I still don''t want to tell them about ''6th Sense''. *say this next one fast* I''m a level 2 because of my 10% exp reduce, so I need 13% more exp before I level up. Stop talking fast My classes are Unknown, which is another ''Special Code'' item, Healer, and Elementalist. The reason I am able to have 3 classes is because of one of Unknown''s special perks, which allows me to have 3 classes. The second perk of theUnknown class is that I get a little bit of every class. Its weapon of choice is this stuff that''s floating around me called ''Multi-tool Particles''. It can shape itself into any of the classes'' weapon," I say. They all yell at the same time, "THAT''S AN OP CLASS!!!!" Lost in Time! Part 3 Another short summary, GO! "THAT''S AN OP CLASS" P.S. After Chi-Chi leveled up twice, all her stats rose by 30 due to Extreme Stats'' effect leaving her stats at: Str-51 Vit-51 Int-51 Wis-51 Spd-51 6Se-55 with 8 points to use however she wants
"Why would the game developers even put a class like that in this game," I hear Chad say as he thinks out loud. I simply reply by saying, "I don''t know why, but I need to thank them later." "Well... aside from that matter, we need to get started with our adventure," I hear Andrew say. "For starters, we need to have our party formed. I''m really happy right now, since the limit for party members is 12. It''s almost like someone meant for use to play this game," Andrew says. Simon speaks next by saying, "Before we do that, we are going to have to decide on our roles, since the leader of the party will have to assign positions to each member. Me, Katie, and Cole can be supporters; Cameron, Sommer, and Andrew will be advancing supporters; Carson, Chad, Brad, and Lucy will be vanguards; Emma will be the ranger; finally, you will be the party leader, which means you can be everywhere." "Ok, but why am I the party leader? Is it because of my class," I ask. "Not only that, but also your experience in games like these," Cole says. "Oh, alright," I say, as I invite all of them to my party. After they all join, I set them in their particular positions. Since it asked for a team name, I decided to name it The Future is Now, even if I didn''t have their consent. "Aaaaannnddd... There! We''re all set," I say. "Ok, great! Now we can monitor, message, and do other things with each other. Well, I''m going to get off for right now. Yes, I know this game just came out and you guys want us all to do our first quest as a group, but I just got on to do this, since I still have some chores to do," Cameron says. "Aww poo. Your still living with your family? Why haven''t you moved out yet," Chad and Brad ask at the same time, almost in complete unison. "That''s because I can''t afford to be out on my own," Cameron answers. After we say goodbye to Cameron, we get ready to start on our journey before we hear a "What in the world" come from Cameron, who has yet to leave, so I ask him what''s wrong. "Well, isn''t the logout button supposed to be on the settings menu," He asks. "Yea, but is it not showing up for you," Andrew asks. "It''s not appearing for me... how about you guys," Cameron asks, this time slightly worried. It''s not there!? is what I thought, and I''m pretty sure that''s what everyone else was thinking since they all had that surprised look on their faces. After looking for the logout button for about 5 minutes, all of us received a message at the exact same time, so we thought to ourselves, Whew, I thought the IT Staff would never come, but that happiness drowned into fright after we all read it. This specific message said: "Hello gamers. My name is inconvenient to you, so you can call me the GM for now. As some of you may have noticed, there is no logout button. Now do not be alarmed because this is not a bug. I repeat, this is NOT a bug. This is the world that I spent so long to create. Your body has been transported from the outside world into this one, so everything that happens to your body in here will happen to your body in real life. This meaning that you will feel the pain in this game like you would in real life, but also other things like stats, details, and other small details will become what you look like in real life. Thus, all of those players out there who lied about their gender, it isn''t exactly a lie anymore. However, you shouldn''t be afraid of dying since you won''t die in real life, you will only remain unconscious for a day, then respawn at the spawn point. You have three ways of going through this game. One way to be released from this game is to correctly guess the year you are currently playing in. This may sound like an easygoing guessing challenge, but you only get 50 guesses. Your one hint from me is that it is ranged from between 1000-3000. If you fail all 50 of these attempts, you will be forced to take the third option with no arguments. Another way for you to escape this game is that you beat the final boss. Beware, for he is a fairly tough opponent, but with enough skills, stats, and equipment, you might be able to beat him. Your last option, however, is to live your life here as if it were yours from the start. You decide! You choose your own fate when you are LOST IN TIME!" The message ends here. After a long moment of silence occurs, Chad says, "What...what was that. How do you expect us to believe that crap?! I ordered a pizza for later on today and now I won''t be able to ever get it," now fully breaking the silence. "That''s what you''re worried about?! What about getting back home," Brad says. After the twins start to fight, I hear everything go into chaos, whether it was from within my party, or everyone in the town. I could also see the anger and worries of others thanks to my 7th Sense, which, in my eyes, turned the whole sky and air into a purplish-red fog. This chaos ensued for around 15 minutes. "Okay... Is everyone calm yet? I think we should think about this thoroughly and decide what we''re going to do," I say, hoping to bring a different attitude to the certain group of people I speak this to. "Okay... I''m calm, how about you guys," Simon asks. The other 10 of them reply with either a "sure" or "I think so". I start the debate off by saying, "Great! Now, let''s get started." I''m going to skip the long dialogue and give you a short summary instead. We decided that we were going to take the second objective and try our best to beat it. We also decided to join the adventurer''s guild, which is ironically called "Adventure Guild". After this, we accept the first main quest mission, which was to go find some stuff called "Soft Rock". After this was completed and we all turned the quest in, Cameron came up with an odd request. He said, "How about we all go our separate ways, then we can all make our own legend. We can still join up with one another since we''re all friends, but let''s try not to. Maybe we can eventually all become kings of some empire." We discussed this matter for a while, then decided to go on with this idea, so I disbanded the party, and right before we all went our separate ways, sent friend requests to each of them. "Well then, let''s get this game rolling." I say. "Let''s see... Since I completed that quest, I got to level 3, which adds 15 points to each of my stats. Yay! that means my stat score resides at: Str-66 Vit-66 Int-66 Wis-66 Spd-66 6Se-70! Also, since I still have 12 points to use due to leveling up, I''m going to put 2 points on each stat, Which leaves me at: Str-68 Vit-68 Int-68 Wis-68 Spd-68 6Se-72! I guess it''s a good thing the staff set the max level to 150. It gives me a lot of room to grow. Skills apparently come with a certain level requirement, so I won''t be able to see certain skills until I reach a certain level, or do some special task/use a special item. Well, I think it''s about time I started doing my missions rather than talk out loud for no use." If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. As I accepted my first monster killing quest and started walking towards the marked area, I thought about something. Since my "Multi-tool Particles" can change into any of the weapons, does that mean I can change it into any legendary weapon I want? As I attempted to do this task, a notification appeared in front of me that told me, "You may only change your weapon into some other weapon you''ve seen. Since everyone in town had the basic starting equipment, I could only change it into the basic stuff. I decided to start with the Gunslinger''s starter pistols so I can stay at a moderate range from the enemies while I shoot. I also wanted to test the theory of "feeling pain" in this game. To test this, I shot a wolf once in the leg, let it come bite my arm, and then shot it twice more to kill it. "OOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!" That definitely hurt... After a bit of feeling the pain of this game, I kind of got used to it. This made a menu pop up saying that I "developed" a new skill, so when I went to go see what it was, I wasn''t too surprised. The skill was "Basic Endurance Mastery". Apparently, Since I got used to the same pain over and over, I now take a certain percentage of less physical damage. This skill does not come fully maxed out, so I have to manually work its level up. It''s current percentage is: 1.15%. This also made me think of something. If this "BEM"(Basic Endurance Mastery) increases to 100%, would I be immune to all physical attacks? I thought about this for a short while, then got back to my game. Throughout this mission, I changed the MTP''s(Multi-tool Particles) shape in order to get experience with all sorts of weaponry. After I completed the mission and headed back to town, I saw an old man standing with a frail posture, so I thought it to be possible that he is in need of assistance. When I went over to talk to him, he simply game me a message, then disappeared into thin air. I thought I might of been losing my mind if I didn''t have a grip of that message he gave me. Is was encrypted with a secret message, but at the bottom it said once you decrypt it, you will gain a very special "thing". There were literal quotes around the word ''thing'', but I still decided to try it out. I turned in my monster quest, which leveled me up 3 times! *I will tell Chi-Chi''s stats at the end of every post, unless if there isn''t a change.* After a few hours of restless decrypting, I finally decrypted the message, but what it said was quite random. I read aloud, "When thou hast read thine message, thou shall be granted a single holy blessing". After I read this, The message started to shine brightly, but Almost blindingly bright, and I immediately fainted. After I woke up, the sun was rising, and I was in a room of unknown ownership. A few seconds later, and a perfectly timed person walks in. Although, her reaction almost made me laugh my butt off since I didn''t even realize that my eyes were fully open. "OH! I-I guess you are awake now, yes," She asks. "Yes, I am. However, I don''t know where I am or who you are, so could you please fill me in," I ask back, while I "close" my eyes again. "Certainly," She replies. "My name is Mary, and you are currently in the ''Bear Dare Inn''." "I''m still in StarGarden, right," I ask her. "Yes, you are, but right at the edge," She replies. I then ask her, "Do you know the inn owner? I''m going to need directions back to the ''Adventurer''s Guild''," "Sweetie, you''re talking to her," She tells me. I say back, with a bit of surprise, along with the need to give forgiveness, "Seriously?! I''m sorry! I had no clue that you were the owner. I''m really sorry," "Oh, it''s okay, really. Most people don''t recognize me as the owner in the first place, so don''t be too shocked yourself. Now, you said you needed directions back to the ''Adventurer''s Guild'', right? Well, lucky for you, I''ve got a map that gives just the directions," She says. I then say, "Thank you so much! Oh, I don''t think I mentioned it before, but the name''s Chikonto, but you can call me Chi-Chi (She changed her username to "Chi-Chi"). I''m pretty sure we''ll meet again some other time, Mary." "Alright! Then I guess we''ll be seeing each other later on, Chi-Chi," Mary says. "Sure thing. Here''s the pay for the unexpected night I spent here, and I''ll be on my way," I say. We both exchange farewells one more time, then I started to head back to the guild with the map in hand. "Oh, hey! Didn''t I receive a message back at the inn when I woke up that said I unlocked a secret skill," I ask myself as I slowly walk back to the main village. I check my skills menu, and what do you know, I see a skill that has a reflecting white outline. After I select it, it spasms out for a couple seconds, then I am dumbfounded to find that it multiplied itself. I now have 2 secret skills. One is a double jump, while the second one is glide. Apparently I have to have already used double jump in order to glide, so that explains why it multiplied. I decided to give the double jump skill the first test, since I am going to want to know how high I can jump with it. I jump nearly the height of a 5 story window after using double jump, and I almost freak out after trying to land and flop around. One thing to note is that all holy skills are passive, so they usually won''t have a cooldown. I also take no fall damage when falling thanks to double jump. I decide to test the glide ability after I get used to the double jump skill. As I double jump, then imagine myself flying, some system takes over my body and makes me do a double front flip, then I spread my arms, and after I get a third triple jump, I start gliding at a slow pace downwards while I''m also in control of my body again. "Oh. My. God... THIS IS AWESOME!!!!"

Lost in Time! Part 4 Another short summary...: "Oh. My. God... THIS IS AWESOME!!!"
After a good half-an-hour later of gliding, I finally make my way back to town. As I enter town, I think to myself,Yeah... I''m going to want to keep the whole "gliding" and "double jumping" thing a secret too. After a couple minutes of walking, I make it to the guild hall, but to my surprise, I only see a few players around. This encourages me to walk up to the informant and ask where everyone is, and she answers, "Oh, they all accepted the sudden bounty quest that came up." "Bounty quest," I ask. "Yes, bounty quest. Recently, someone got a bounty placed on their head, and since it''s a large amount that was placed, many people are trying to get the reward," She answers. I then ask, "May I accept the quest too?" She answers the question with a simple, "yes", so I accepted it. The informant gave me the wanted poster, and then my journal update notification appeared. Good, since that''s done, I can go get this over with, I think. As I check the reward price, I nearly yell out loud, 1,000,000 Yol!? *Yol is the large currency in this game. One Yol is equivalent to 100 Col. Other currency is Col(100 Mol), and Mol(smallest denomination). In other words, the bounty is 100,000,000 Col, or 10,000,000,000 Mol* I may have to take off my limiter for this bounty! **The day before, when I turned in my monster hunting quest, I received a skill called "Limiter X". This skill limits the stats that I have to make it seem like I have the actual number of normal skill points used, rather than my other, OP stats. Quite a useful skill, since whenever I level up, It looks like a normal level up, but in the background, It is keeping track of my actual stats. This also makes missions a lot harder. I think I mentioned before, but since skills can level up, some can evolve. Say someone had "Identify", but it was at it''s max level. The next time it leveled up, it would evolve into "Identify I". Each evolvable skill has ten levels of evolution, which are all in roman numerals. From worst to best, the system goes: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. Since I learned "Limiter X" at max level off the bat, it could possibly be considered "legendary luck".** As I head out to where the designated area for this wanted man to be, I start to smell something that which is similar to blood. As I get closer, my theory proves to be correct, since I start to see unconscious bodies lying everywhere. Before I went any further, I whisper, "Limiter off..." As the limiter is turned off, I feel the sudden surge of stat difference, but that feeling dies off while another takes its place. High awareness. Since I''ll have a better vantage point at a longer range for a sneak attack, I change my MTP into the dual pistols. As I slowly sneak around the last corner, I finally see him! He stands there, with blood on his long blade and red eyes. *Red eyes come with pk-ing players. Players don''t get red eyes after killing a pk-er* Is... Is that a katana? After a short moment of standard mental debate on whether it was a katana or some other long blade, I decided it was time to surprise attack him, so I made sure to aim the two guns at two different points. One was aimed at the top-left of his head, while the other was aimed at the bottom-right of his feet. As I fired, he took his "katana", leaned back, and chopped the bullet that was coming for his foot. He then said, "Come on out, your surprise attacks won''t work anymore since I know your general direction now." I came out, but then realized that I did exactly what he wanted me to do. "Very good. Now, why don''t you tell me what you''re going to kill me with, and I''ll do the same," He says. This got put into my favor very fast since I can now copy his weapon, so I say, "I don''t know, if you tell what your weapon is, then I''ll find out." "Eh? Okay then. Well, my weapon is as it looks. It''s a katana," He says. So then I say, "Alright, then I guess I''ll be trying to kill you with a katana." He then says, with a slight arrogant attitude, "How are two guns a katana? Heck, they aren''t even a blade." However, as he says this, I think in my mind to tell the MTP to change into a katana, and he nearly stops being arrogant when he sees this happen. I then ask him, "Is it a katana now?" Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. "Okay... I don''t know what you just did to make it look like an exact replica of mine, but it''s not like it''ll matter. I''m still going to win. I''m the only level 7 right now, and I am aiming to be the best player in this game, while completing the second objective. Since you look like a strong opponent, I will tell you my name. It is Jimminy Cricket, but most call me Jimmy," He says. Seriously!? Jimminy Cricket!? That''s really hard not to laugh at I think, while I actually say, "The name is Chikonto Sweetcheer, but most call me Chi-Chi. I am level 6, and you are no match for me." "That''s a lot of talk Chi-Chi, but do you have the bite to back that up," He asks. At this moment, I realize that it will be better if I have the limiter set, since he''ll only be one level above me. It will prove to be a good starting experience with people who are a higher level than you. So before I say "Let''s start", I say, "Limiter X, on! Alright, let''s go!" By the time we start fighting, the other fighters who just recently arrived, and aren''t afraid of the unconscious corpses, watch the fight me and Jimmy are having since they know they are no match for either of us. This restricts me from using my double jump or gliding ability. After a few minutes of clashing blades, I hear Jimmy say while fighting me, "Now this is the kind of fight I have been waiting for." I say back, "Me too. It''s not everyday you get to fight with someone that is slightly equal to you in strength." Jimmy takes a few steps back after a sword clash and asks me, "How is it that one of us is only slightly matched with the other?" I tell him, "Well, as you know, before the match, I turned my ''Limiter X'' on. Now let me show you what it would be like to face me without my limiter. Limiter off." I feel the same sensation as before when the stat change occurs, but instead of high awareness taking over the feeling, I feel confidence taking over. Also, when I do this action, I see Jimmy take a step back and ask him, "You scared? I''m going to be going all out on you, so I hope you''re ready." As I say this I open my eyes fully, which makes him flinch and I yell, "Ha! An opening!" He immediately gets back into position, but since I have a little less than triple his stats, I''m already in his face staring intently into his eyes with my katana at his neck. As he gives me a horrified look, almost as if he''s seen a monster, I whisper in his ear, "Looks like you weren''t a match for me after all," then cleanly cut his head off. There is dead silence from the people around me that was watching. "Limiter X, on..." That was the last anyone heard of Jimminy Cricket. After I head back to town, I notice three things. One is that the katana is a classic Thief''s weapon. Two is that I leveled up and learned a skill from every class, but two skills from the Healer and Elementalist classes. Some of the skills were passive too. The only skills that I think I''ll be using from this large set of skills I obtained is "Revive"(Healer), "Heal"(Healer), "Apply element"(Elementalist), "Disguise"(Classic Thief), and "Return to Sender"(Classic Mage). The third thing I noticed is that BEM went from 1.15% to 5.28%, while the other passive skill I got was "Increased Endurance"(Classic Warrior) which let''s me run longer, and starts at 1.36%. Well then... This looks like a good start!

It has been about 2 weeks since this odd game started, and, surprisingly, nothing bad has happened. Me and my group of friends tried our best to keep our oath of staying apart, but we had to end up helping each other a couple times since that person was in a pickle. throughout the two weeks, we all leveled up quite a bit. It seems that I''m level 14, while the rest of my friends range from levels 12-14. I also gained a foot in height, so I got those bonus stat points. However, these points don''t hide themselves with my limiter on, so I figured this happens because it''s an effect of my race. As I''m walking around StarGarden, I receive a group voice call from my group of friends (this is how we stayed in touch for the time we were apart from each other). ¡°Hey Chi-Chi, how are you doing,¡± Sommer asks. ¡°Hey Sommer, I''m doing fine, but in actuality not doing anything at all,¡± I reply. ¡°Don''t be a smart alek Chi-Chi. Hey, we should all meet up for snacks and the like, since I have a question I want to ask all of you,¡± Cole says. We all say in unison, ¡°Alright!¡± We decided to meet up at a tree in the forest nearby the exit of the village. When everyone arrives, and have all said our greetings together, Cole starts the conversation off by saying, ¡°So¡ how¡¯s everyone''s equipment and weapons holding out?¡± As it comes to someone¡¯s turn, everyone ends up saying their equipment and armor are fine. All except the twins Brad and Chad. Brad says, ¡°Well, my armor seems a bit damaged, and Chad¡¯s is more than halfway through his durability. How did he manage that? Well, he just never fixed his equipment and weapons since this game started, and it is also the starter equipment, so that explains a lot by itself.¡± Cole says next, ¡°Alright, so as for the reason I called you all here is one simple question: What subclass did you guys choose.¡± Oh, right. I didn''t explain about subclasses, did I? In short, they are an extension to this game that you can equip and level up like it was your actual class. However, you get only one chance to pick one since you can''t change it later by simple means. You can, however, perform a certain quest later that allows you to change it, but you can''t otherwise. There are a few categories in these subclasses which include: attack types, defense types, agile types, all around types, and tactic types. Of course, I went and chose mine already, but mine was a special case. I figured out another OP secret behind my class, Unknown, which allows me to have TWO subclasses. My first one, as I said before, came from the tactics subclass category. It''s name was ¡°swift dead-silence¡±, and what it does is no matter how I''m moving, my feet and body make no noise. It also gave me the benefit of having a cool aura surround me when I jumped or moved quickly from place to place, which could be mistaking for ¡°blinking¡±. Of course, this was a requirement subclass that required me having 30 Spd or higher, and also being level 15 or lower. My second subclass came from the agile type category and was called ¡°3D mobility¡± which allowed me to maneuver a heck of a lot easier in the middle of the air, but also was just another term for advanced parkour. It almost gave the feeling that I could move around the air like swimming in a pool, but a lot more fluent. Well that''s more than enough info about subclasses than you probably needed, so let''s get back to the story. ¡°I chose ¡®Swift Dead-Silence¡¯,¡± I say. ¡°I chose ¡®Attack Amplification¡¯, but so did Carson and Brad,¡± Chad tells us. ¡°...I chose ¡®Hercules¡¯ Strength¡¯,¡± Lucy says. ¡°You¡¯re going all out on the strength, aren''t you Lucy. Oh, and I chose ¡®Defense Boost¡¯ for my subclass,¡± Emma says without expecting a reply. ¡°I chose ¡®Intelligence Boost¡¯,¡± Simon says. ¡°Oh! I chose that one too Simon,¡± says Cole. ¡°I went for the ¡®MP Boost¡¯,¡± Says Katie. ¡°Since me and Cameron are Paladins, we both chose ¡®God¡¯s Shield¡¯,¡± Andrew says. ¡°Geez, I guess I¡¯m last to say, but I went and chose ¡®Casting Buffs¡¯,¡± Sommer says. Simon then says to the group, ¡°It seems we have a rather large variety, don¡¯t we? The ones that I find stand out the most, are: Chi-Chi¡¯s ¡®Swift Dead-Silence¡¯, Lucy¡¯s ¡®Hercules¡¯ Strength¡¯, Andrew and Cameron¡¯s ¡®God Shield¡¯, and Sommer¡¯s ¡®Casting Buffs¡¯, so why don¡¯t you guys inform us of what each one does. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. Surprisingly, Lucy went first. She said, ¡°Well, it¡¯s as it¡ oof... implies!¡± While Lucy says this she walks over to a boulder almost five times her size and simply picks it up. ¡°Holy crap, Lucy! Can¡¯t you level up your subclass too? Oh boy, even though the subclass level limit is 70, I can¡¯t wait to see what the final product is,¡± Cameron states, while the others are still staring blankly at a small girl simply holding a boulder of those proportions. ¡°Well, Andrew, I guess we¡¯re next. You have the honor of explaining it to them,¡± Cameron says directly to Andrew. Now Andrew speaks, ¡°Alright then. It seems all of our ¡®special¡¯ subclasses do what the name implies, but it¡¯s cooler to see it in action. ¡®God¡¯s Shield is a 3-times-a-day use ability that, when used, let''s us take no damage for a specified amount of time. As the subclass levels up, the time we can have it up increases. As of now, it only lasts 10 seconds. Oh, and since I still have all three uses left, I can show you what it looks like, which isn¡¯t much btw.¡± His shield that comes up gives his body a perfect white outline, and has a small glittering effect. Sommer then says, ¡°Hey, that¡¯s pretty neat, you guys. As for mine, it just reduces cast time and increases efficiency. Nothing too good. Although, now¡ it¡¯s Chi-Chi¡¯s turn.¡± Nono, don''t look at me like that you guys. ¡°Well, since my subclass will take a while to explain, how about I just demonstrate it? Welp, here goes nothin¡¯¡± I say. I use my skill, and I seemed to have miscalculated where to go, so I''m in a tree currently but to them, it looked like I teleported. They also don''t seem to know where I went either, oh I could scare the crap out of them like this¡ Hehe. ¡°Okaaaayyyy then! You can come back now Chi-Chi!¡± After sneaking up behind them, i say, ¡°What do you mean? I¡¯m already here.¡± All in unison, they jump back with different pitched voices of surprise.

P.S. A bit OP without her limiter on, isn''t she¡? P.P.S. Bet you didn''t know, if she used her [Disguise] skill, she could turn herself into a catgirl with all the perfect features too! So kawaii! (I might be using this in later parts)
