《A Wolf's Journey》 Chapter 0: Prologue Me? POV: ¡®What the? Where a I? Why does it feel like I am being crushed?!¡¯ Right now I am in a dark¡ something, and it is squeezing the air out of my lungs. Actually I don¡¯t have air in my lungs, this is bad. While panicking I try wiggly out like my life depended on it, as it probably does. I start seeing a light, and also realize that I am completely surrounded by red fleshy walls. Did something eat me? I don¡¯t remember anything that¡¯s neck is specifically the size of a full grown man. ¡®Just a few¡ more¡ Inches! Gah!¡¯ And like that I escaped the¡ the¡ WHY WAS I IN THERE?! Turns out I wasn¡¯t in a creature¡¯s mouth, but rather a massive wolf¡¯s birth canal. What the hell? The wolf that I¡ emerged from was a black furred behemoth. It easily dwarfed me in size, and terrified the hell out of me. I let out a yelp in terror. ¡°Yip!¡± Me? ¡®...¡¯ I take a quick look at my body. ¡®WHY AM I A WOLF PUP!¡¯ My body is that of a wolf cub with snow white fur. While I am examining myself, another behemoth wolf comes up right behind me and starts sniffing me. Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Honey! This one isn¡¯t stillborn!¡± Dad? The wolf that apparently is my mother, is noticeably surprised. It¡¯s a little bit odd, being able to read the facial expressions of a wolf. ¡°What?! I thought that the litter would all be killed by that snake bite! He isn¡¯t disfigured is he?¡± Mom The wolf that is my dad licks the afterbirth off of me and gives a once over. I also notice all of my dead siblings. It is horrifying to say the least. They are all disfigured, lifeless corpses, with sickly white skin and fur, for the few that have it. Some don¡¯t have proper faces while the rest are missing other important bits. With a pleased expression and bark, my dad explains my condition. ¡°No, he isn¡¯t disfigured. A little odd with the snow white fur and silver eyes, but still, nothing wrong! This is amazing! HAHAHAHAHA!¡± Dad While my dad was completely ecstatic, mom started nuzzling her nose against my face, crying. I was actually surprised that these inhuman animals were capable of such complex emotions, but then again, one question trumps them all. ¡®WHY AM I A GODDAMN WOLF!!¡¯ Chapter 1 Me POV: It has been about two months since I was born and I just started teething. It sucks. I have been growing rather quickly for a wolf, I think. But my parents aren¡¯t that surprised so I guess it is normal for wolfs in this world. I say ¡®this world¡¯ because I know for a fact that I am not on earth anymore. Why do I say not on earth anymore? Well one day my dad brought food to my mom, who was taking care of me at the time. It was scrawny, green, and oh yeah! A GOBLIN! There aren¡¯t goblins on earth so there is the most probable solution is, dun dunna dunnnn! This is another world. That makes me considerably more scared seeing how there might be fucking dragons around the corner. Thankfully my family members aren¡¯t slobs and dispose of the remains of everything in pits they dig. Dad always says we do this because they are with the spirits now, and we don¡¯t need them more pissed off with us then they already are at this point. I actually think these spirits may not actually be bullshit because magic is a thing sooo, I am willing to keep an open mind. Back to the teething. It hurts like shit. My mouth literally feels like it is being punctured by sharp teeth, probably because it is. ¡°OUOOOOH!¡± Dad Yeah he just implied to come over to him. Wolf language is equal parts body language as it is vocal language. So essentially if you can¡¯t see them and hear them, nothing makes sense. ¡°YOOP!¡± Me My voice has been getting a little deeper and I don¡¯t make high pitched yips anymore. I don¡¯t have the badass wolf howl yet, but anything is better than sounding like a goddamn chihuahua. I scurry out of the cave rather quickly. I have gone outside of the cave before, but dad has never actually told me to come out, especially during daylight hours. I emerge from the cave, only to be greeted by my dad standing over a dead deer. Not an unusual sight, but still rather odd seeing how we aren¡¯t eating it yet. Actually now that I have something to compare us to, Dad is fucking big. He is easily the same size as the deer is not bigger. ¡°Ah there you are. Perfect. Now, some news. First, since your teeth are finally starting to come out, you will be leaving to learn hunting and the rest of the pack. This will happen in about a month, so I will try and teach you as much as possible before then. Second, welcome to your first lesson! Today I will be teaching you which parts are and aren¡¯t edible.¡± Dad This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it He quickly takes one of his claws and runs it down the bare belly of the deer, splitting it open. He then starts pointing at the various organs and tells me which ones are best to eat and which ones... not so much. ¡°... and this is shit sack. NEVER. eat. the. SHIT. SACK. Got it?¡± Dad ¡°Got it.¡± Me ¡®pfft, seriously? Shit sack? I think I love being a wolf. Everything is straight forward to the point of being funny.¡¯ ¡°Now this is the piss sack. Same rules as the shit sack. Just remember that there are different organs with different types of animals, as a rule just eat the ones I have taught you to eat. Some organs are poisonous. If the creature is sickly, don¡¯t eat it." Dad ''alright, simple enough.'' "One finale organ. This one can either be extremely helpful, meaningless, or even harmful, given your affinity; you''ll also learn about what that is when you are welcomed into the pack. It would be... this." Dad He points to the heart, which seems to have had a few modifications made to it. A series white veins which seem to interweave with the usual veins and arteries. They seem to flash with their white light, like a strobe light or lightning. "just avoid it for the time being. Any questions?" Dad ¡°Nope.¡± Me ¡°Then that concludes your first lesson in eating habits.¡± Dad The next day was how to get rid of the fur, scales, etc of our prey and eat the meat that hides below. After that was etiquette, yeah wolves had etiquette strangely enough, and that consisted of what to do in cultural scenarios, like when someone tries to steal your food. It was rather simplistic not to difficult to get the hang of, but that is like most things in this body. I am pretty sure that being in this body has helped me to learn, seeing how I learned to talk squirrel from this one guy named ralph. Yeah he¡¯s a squirrel, but he is still a decent companion. According to him I am mostly understandable except for my thick accent, that arises from my considerably lower voice. He just showed up one day and started squeaking all over the place. Dad didn¡¯t mind him and Mom hates eating rodent so I just started screwing with him, he spoke wolf and after that taught me squirrel. Oh what a life I leed. ¡®I can see it now, I the reincarnated human dire wolf cub and his companion, ralph the multilingual squirrel, adventuring together and saving damsels in distress. There has to be a god because there is no way this wasn¡¯t meant to be a joke.¡¯ Starting something new As some knowledge for my thought process, all of this is based on a daydream I had. I recently had a new one, daydream that is. So I will be putting this story on ice while I do the other one. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. I will get back to this one eventually, but not right now. Adios Chapter 2 Me POV: ¡°So, nervous?¡± Dad My family and I were currently going over to where the pack supposedly was. ¡°Mostly anxious, why do you always assume I¡¯m nervous.¡± Me He gives me the equivalent of a raised eyebrow and chuckles at me. ¡°Did you forget you have a tail?¡± Dad ¡®What¡¯s he talking-- oh¡ I see.¡¯ My tail looked like it was practically going to fly off my ass any second. ¡°So what¡¯s got you so startled anyhow? Your usually either confident or excited.¡± Dad ¡°Well, I don¡¯t exactly look similar to either of you, and I am uncomfortable with the prospect of being alienated by the entire pack because of it.¡± Me ¡°Well you do look really, really, really weird.¡± Dad ¡°Honey! Positive reinforcement! I thought we talked about this!¡± Mom ¡°Oh, right! Just wait until winter hits, most of us are useless in winter because of how dark our fur is in the snow, but you¡¯ll be right in your element. Just get a high body count and they can¡¯t do anything but accept you.¡± Dad ¡°Besides, you¡¯re fur is really soft and strong. You¡¯ll probably get a mate on account of how comfortable it is alone.¡± Mom ¡®And yet again you only have a one track mind when it comes to social interaction mom. Great.¡¯ ¡°Hey! Your back! Who''s the pup?¡± Giant fucking wolf. If my parents are the size of deer, he¡¯s the size of a horse. This guy could literally take on a bear. He had reddish brown fur and looked even fiercer than my dad. ¡°The pup, is your nephew!¡± Mom ¡®This guy''s my uncle? Awesome!¡¯ ¡°Hahhhh? But- and the snake bite- your entire litter should be- what?!¡± Uncle My dad just snickers behind me and my mother turns toward him. ¡°Told you his reaction would be priceless. Hehehe.¡± Dad While my mother starts giggling, my uncle continues to gawk at me. I decide to screw with him and start waving one of my paws in front of him. ¡°Helloooo. Anyone in there?¡± Me His face then tightens as my parents begin to snicker at him. ¡°*sigh* yup, you''re definitely related to my sister. So, you¡¯re presenting him to the pack?¡± Uncle ¡°That¡¯s right red-face.¡± Dad ¡°*groan* You do know that you should show your Alpha a bit more respect than just calling him by such childish names.¡± Uncle Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. ¡°Sure thing red-face, when should I start?¡± Dad My mother was rolling on the ground in laughter. My uncle just stares at me straight in the face. ¡°If you ever turn into your father, I will rip out both of your hearts and eat them, understood?¡± Uncle ¡°Right, right, of course you will.¡± Dad ¡®I really hope he¡¯s just kidding.¡¯ ¡°Well let¡¯s get a move on, most of the pack thinks we lost two people, not gained one.¡± Uncle We then started down the path to where the pack apparently camps out and arrived in less than a minute. I really didn¡¯t realize how many of us there really were; I was counting on the high end of the 80¡¯s, maybe even low 90¡¯s. That was until I got a look at the pit where all the pups were. The ones that, I assumed to be siblings, got into groups of about ten to twelve. The thing that struck me as odd was that in my original litter there had to have been at least twenty other pups. Well, whole pups that is. There were about seventeen groups in total, however I could recognize a few stragglers who had no group. I get the feeling that either I¡¯m wrong, or mortality rates are a bitch. A few of the pups were watching me, a majority either didn¡¯t see me or didn¡¯t care. My uncle clears his throat to get everyone¡¯s attention. ¡°Looks like we have a last minute addition! Meet your new pack mate, white-- wait[he turns to my parents] did you guys give him a name or are you going old school with this one?¡± Uncle ¡®Is that why I don¡¯t have a name?¡¯ My mom gets a little embarrassed, while my dad takes the initiative. ¡°o-Old school of course! Why? Do you think we were so complacent as to not name our only son?¡± Dad His tone and shifty eyes were questionable, but his tail through him under the bear--why does that expression sound familiar? My uncle snickered, but I was not amused. ¡°Dad.¡± Me ¡°What is it son, my pride and joy!¡± Dad ¡°Tail.¡± Me He freezes and turns around to look at it. While looking at it he whispers to it like it was a sentient being. ¡°Traitor.¡± Dad My uncle looks like he is about to explode in laughter. ¡°Anyways, for now call him¡ white-face. Now, if you¡¯ll excuse me, I am going to go and make fun of my brother in law. [I can feel a huge tail push me into the pit off of the rock we were on] Of you go! Don¡¯t die yet, I kind of like you.¡± Uncle ¡°See you in a few months son!¡± Dad ¡°Good luck on the maiting!¡± Mom ¡®SERIOUSLY?! WHY THE FUCK IS FUCKING THE ONLY THING YOU CAN THINK OF!!¡¯ Chapter 3 Me POV: ¡®Well, at least I have a name now, even if it is weird.¡¯ The entirety of the pit were staring at me, some sizing me up, the others wondering why my fur was snow white. One pup, a particularly large one with pitch black fur, emerges from the group and stares down at me with a glint of superiority in his eyes. ¡°Lemme tell you the pecking order around here whitey. I¡¯m at the top, that bitch over there with the gray fur is mine, so don¡¯t even think about it, and you¡¯re at the bottom, just below the worms I¡¯m going to make you eat for the rest of our training¡ got it?¡± Asshole ¡®Hmm, probably around the size of a bloodhound, and is not that much bigger than me. He seems to be banking on the fact that he has more muscle mass than me, other than that, I can¡¯t discern anything else about him.¡¯ He was growing increasingly more annoyed with the fact that I hadn¡¯t answered him. That¡¯s when a few more large males and females started emerging from their groups, including the grey female he referenced. She is less than happy about being ¡°claimed¡± by Asshole. So much so that she had jumped Asshole and had a clawed paw directly over his left eye. She was snarling while he was whimpering in submission, a complete 180 of his previous demeanor. She then raised her head while her demeanor only soften a slight bit. ¡°Your a leftover, someone who¡¯s entire litter is dead at this point. Don¡¯t make trouble for my group or you will answer to me, Whitey. Be useful, and we might just look out for you, follow your litter down the path of submission, and you might as well lay down and die.¡± Grey lady ¡°You have a name or should I just come up with something to call you?¡± Me ¡°Ruara, prove you''re not worthless and I¡¯ll even ask you your¡¯s.¡± Ruara She then jumps off of him and returns to her litter. It looks like the others left their groups to put Asshole back in his place. With that bit of excitement out of the way, I just find a patch of unclaimed pit and stake my claim; via pissing. The pit is huge by the way. It looks like some sort of dried up mini lake, while the rest of the pack stays at the higher level, separating us and trying to promote us to come to an understanding by ourselves of what it means to be a pack. I am going to have to make significant changes if I want to improve the pack in any way. Another, leanor wolf with a large body and brown fur walks into my territory not long after I establish it. I don¡¯t bother to get out of my resting position since it¡¯s clear he¡¯s here for me. ¡°So, you''re the new guy, right? The Leftover? You should probably know that, around here, only full litter¡¯s are allowed to claim territory. You¡¯re a leftover, so you can¡¯t claim an area.¡± Male ¡®I should have expected some crap all rule like this one.¡¯ ¡°*sigh*, is this anyone¡¯s territory?¡± Me He looks at me quizzically. ¡°No, but I don¡¯t see--¡± Male ¡°Well, you are looking at the entirety of my litter. Now, are we allowed to go hunting at any time or must we wait for some predetermined time, because I am hungry.¡± Me If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. He looks at me in curiosity. ¡°You need to find a hunting partner.. Why Did you say that you were the entirety of your litter? Litter¡¯s are always born in groups of at least twenty.¡± Male I then start walking towards one of the other leftovers that looked as though she could handle herself. I pause so that I can give him an answer. ¡°What I mean is, when I was born, all my siblings were already deformed or half grown corpses. Good day.¡± Me I then trot over to one of the hungrier, but stronger looking leftovers. A female with jet black fur, except with considerably less mange. Almost as if she grooms herself regularly; it¡¯s even better than my parent¡¯s. She is currently crying, I don¡¯t know why, but I have the bad feeling I¡¯m about to have to care. Damn, I thought one of the things about being a wolf was the allowance to act with mild psychopathy! ¡ Maybe I am forgetting some of the more important aspects of my humanity. But who gives a shit at this point. ¡°Hey!¡± me She continues sobbing. ¡®So I have to get right next to her if I want her to even listen to me.¡¯ I go straight over to her and nudge her with my paw, she stalls her tears and looks up at me and speaks with the closest thing we wolves have to sing-songy voice. ¡°Who-who are you? Why is your fur so white? Are you one of the spirits come to take my life?¡± Female I roll my eyes. ¡°Fur¡¯s white for many reasons, I¡¯m not a spirit, and you can call me White; I guess, I just got here. Why the tears?¡± White ¡°Oh, I¡¯m Riuro. I¡¯m crying because my brother, the last member of my litter, just died. A Lightning Elk skewered him while we out hunting. I couldn¡¯t catch anything and am now doomed to die by hunger as a leftover. Why?¡± Female ¡°I was going to ask you if you wanted to go on a hunting trip, but you seem preoccupied at the moment. So I¡¯ll just get out of your fur--¡± White She bolts up from her submissive position and wraps her front legs around my front right leg ¡°Take me with you, Take me with you, Take me with you, Take me with you, Take me with you, Take me with you, Take me with you, take--¡± Female ¡°Yes, yes, YES! [she looks up at me with hopeful eyes] You ready to go? Or do you need to do anything before we head out?¡± White ¡°Nope!¡± Female I am about to take a step when I realize I have one very important question to ask. ¡°Do you know how to get out of here?¡± White ¡°Lemme just ask my broth-- Oh¡ wait¡ I have no idea. He was the one who was supposed to remember.¡± Female ¡®Oh god no.¡¯ Chapter 4 White POV: We spent at least twenty minutes trying to find the ¡°correct¡± way out of the caldera¡ Until I said fuck it and we scaled our way out of there. Right now we are going through one of the Trails. The Trails are paths that the pack have chosen to increase the effectivity of our hunting patterns; they separate different hunting zones and only a certain amount of game are allowed to be hunted in any individual zone. Once all the zones are depleted, the pack moves on to the next forest. And the reason why there is only one generation that I have seen, besides our parents, is because breeding is only allowed at the time the pack arrives at a new forest. *sniff* *sniff* We both come to a halt as I come across the scent of our first prey. I give Riuro the preliminary of what I can smell. ¡°Female, boar, wounded. I can smell something else close to it, not sure what it is though. Boar should be big, hopefully. This way.¡± White We dash off into the forest, slow enough to not alert the entirety of the forest of our position, but fast enough that we can get to it before some coyotes, or anything else for that matter. There is a profound shift in Riuro¡¯s behavior. Before, while we were on the path, she would be constantly humming or something close to it. Chipper as can be, despite the whole dead brother thing. I suppose getting a second chance at living can brighten just about anyones mood. And no doubt she¡¯s already gotten used to the pain of losing family. After all, litter¡¯s start out very big. Now, she¡¯s almost as quiet as I am; hell she¡¯s probably even quieter. Our journey doesn¡¯t last long and we are finally allowed to pay witness to what very may well be our impending doom. Humans. They had already gotten the boar tied to a pole and they were hoisting it up for them to carry away. I didn¡¯t get a chance to tell Riuro not to kill them before she was already bolting of towards them. ¡®This reckless idiot!¡¯ ¡°Semfa, sokon-- Gadra!¡± Hunter 1 The hunter¡¯s spoke in a foreign language that I couldn¡¯t understand for the life of me. The first one was slightly skinnier and wielded a bow and knives while the other was bigger in comparison and had a spear and axe. Riuro went for the first hunter. While they were still in the middle of a conversation, she rushed the first hunter and clamped down into his side, most likely puncturing his intestines and cracking a rib or two. His partner was quick to act and pulled out his spear to strike at her, but that was before I clamped down on his elbow. I felt it shatter beneath the considerable force I applied, slightly excited by the wonderful taste of fresh, still living blood. I planted my hind legs onto the side of his torso while wrenching my mouth around his arm, feeling a pop and then hearing, between his wailing, the sound of his shoulder being ripped from the rest of his body. After I was sent flying by the force of my own legs, I took a glance at how Riuro was doing. She had pushed the human down and clamped her mouth around his throat. There also appeared to be a superficial puncture wound to the side of her spine, however it looked as though it hadn¡¯t hit anything important seeing how there was little blood and she could still move. When I landed on the ground I decided that having a screaming victim, along with the smell of fresh blood, may not be the best idea, so I promptly dropped the arm and turn to jump onto my victim; who is already about to fall to the ground due to the agony he is experiencing. Before he loses balance completely I jump onto his torso and clamp my mouth around his exposed throat. I also get my first taste of adams apple. Sinewy. Human meat is not that good now that I¡¯ve had the chance to eat some. There isn¡¯t any fat for their body to act as natural armor, and their bodies just don¡¯t have that¡ oomph that I¡¯ve tasted in other creatures. I wonder why that is? Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Also their blood tastes unnecessarily sour and tangy. Disgusting. I wonder why the taste was different in his arm as opposed to his throat? I raise my head and am greeted by the blood soaked visage of Riuro. She looks as though she wants to ask me a question. ¡°What is it?¡± White ¡°Are you always that¡ rough, with your prey?¡± Riuro ¡°I don¡¯t understand?¡± White ¡°N-nevermind¡ Is it just me or do these pink things taste¡¡± Riuro ¡°Terrible?¡± White ¡°Sorry I forgot how I was supposed to swish my tail for that one. But yeah, they taste worse than that time I accidently swallowed a piss sack.¡±Riuro I raise an eyebrow at her. ¡°Why did you--¡± White ¡°Oh look there''s the boar! Let¡¯s get going!~¡± Riuro She then clamps her jaw on one end of the spigot and starts running in the direction of another Trail. ¡®*sigh* this one will be trying. On the bright side, at least she is quick and quiet when she is trying to kill something.¡¯ I bite the other end of the spigot to prevent a track tail from forming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Red POV: *sniff* *sniff* ¡®Why do I smell dead humans? Why do I smell living humans, for that matter?¡¯ I traverse the Trails that I helped to lay and come across a slightly startling sight; the two dead corpses of humans. I can also smell the blood of a boar, my nephew, and a female wolf. I go over to the cleanly killed corpse of the archer. I smell the blood of that other wolf, so she must have been the one to kill it. I do a slight search of his corpse, but don¡¯t find any bones or other trophies. ¡®Must have been new to hunting. Gonna have to scold that pup for getting wounded by such a green hunter. Looks like she went for his side before rendering him harmless, mistakes like that kill you. Let¡¯s look at my nephews handiwork.¡¯ The scene was¡ drastically different. The hunter was rendered harmless¡ completely harmless. I have only even see this kind of strength in fully grown adults, or these tactics for that matter. It appeared as though he used his legs to generate enough power for him to rip the arm clear off at the shoulder. He seems to have also collapsed the majority of that sides ribs, ensuring death even if he somehow managed to survive the initial exchange. Then he had his throat ripped out just like the other one to silence him. ¡®Ruthless. It also looks like he had no intention of feeding from this one. That either means that he was either smart enough not to try and bring them or was just plain reckless. Lets hope it was the former.¡¯ It appeared as though the bodies had been here for about a day. ¡°Woah¡¡± Red The number of trophies this hunter has is both enormous and varied. Bear teeth, Weaval fangs, Vampire fingers-- ¡°Devos simpra cantaros!¡± Human female ¡®Damn, if there¡¯s anything I hate more than Lightning Elk, it¡¯s humans.¡¯ I made my way away from the area. ¡®That nephew of mine is going to make things interesting, to say the least.¡¯ Chapter 5 White POV: ¡°H-h-how are you n-nn-not sh-shiv-shivering!¡± Riuro ¡°Because my fur is better at dealing with water than yours? How the hell am I supposed to know? You at least remembered to shake all the excess out right?¡± White She growls at me. ¡°W-w-wwhat d-d-d-do you think I am, a-a-an i-idiot?!¡± Riuro ¡°Wweelll¡¡± White ¡°You finish that sentence and I will eviscerate you.¡± Riuro ¡°Just keep seething, it¡¯ll raise your body temperature some.¡± White She growls again. Oh, right, it¡¯s been a while. Well two months have passed since Riuro and I killed that pair of hunters. My uncle, whose name turns out to be Gar, or Red, has been paying a bit more attention to my little corner of the pit since that event. Also, according to some of the groans and body counts of my neighbors, more have followed suit and are coming after us Wolves specifically. I already killed about seven more, in fact Riuro and I have turned hunting our hunters into a competition of sorts. I am currently winning by three. They''re even nice enough to bring food as a parting gift to us! ¡®Hehehehe¡¡¯ The reason Riuro is so cold is because the both of us were foolish enough to accidentally walk on top of some well hidden ice. It looks like a type of trap that uses my people¡¯s inherent weakness to cold water against us. Thankfully the type of fur I have makes it easy for me to deal with getting stuck in water. I have two layers to my coat. The outer layer that is similar to an otters in that it is sleek and water resistant. My inner layer is very soft and similar to sheep''s wool, except not as itchy. Because of this duality, I don¡¯t have to worry too much about getting waterlogged fur, or having to suffer to normal cold in the winters. And strangely enough I shed more than usual in the summers, so I don¡¯t roast to death in my own fur. That would be a way to go. Sitting on my death bed with nothing to kill me but my own bodies¡¯ defenses. Anyways, Riuro went into shock and I had to warm her with my body. If I were still human, that would have been fun, however the practise is common among my people when winter hits. Didn¡¯t stop her from stuttering up a storm, but that could also have been the hypothermia. Who knows? ¡°How do you even know it was a trap anyway?¡± Riuro ¡°Sheet rock doesn¡¯t naturally form over such wide pools of water, let alone frozen water. It should have cracked. Therefore, it was intentional and why else would people create such dangerous scenarios?...¡± White ¡°If not to kill us, I see. But how did they get rock to form over water?¡± Riuro ¡°They probably have hunters capable of doing that, like a Lightning Elk as opposed to a normal Elk.¡± White ¡°Why would they be able to do that?¡± Riuro ¡°They are physically weak, have poor instincts, and can¡¯t smell or hear for shit. There must be some reason they aren¡¯t all dead already. Hell we hunt there hunters for sport!¡± White ¡°Good point. So, let¡¯s get back to the pit. Graru has been apparently stealing food from the other litters in an attempt to survive being a leftover and we need to make sure he doesn¡¯t think us easy targets.¡± Riuro If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡®Why does that name bring me annoyance?¡¯ ¡°Who was Graru again?¡± White ¡°Apparently that was the guy that tried to make you his servant, and promptly got his tail handed to him by Ruara.¡± Riuro ¡°Oh yeah¡ that fur-for-brains. I don¡¯t remember there being any recently eliminated litters.¡± White ¡°That''s because his litter was tired of his attempts at destabilising their order. And he is also a bumbling idiot when hunting and nearly got half of them killed. They just told him not to come back and he has resorted to stealing his food.¡± Riuro ¡°Joy.¡± White ¡°...¡± ¡°I know this is a stupid question, but are you ready to go just yet? This is probably uncomfortable for you.¡± White ¡°Yeah, but not from you. It feels like my bones are just¡ shifting? Let¡¯s just get to the sacram.¡± Riuro Both of us paused, looked at one another. ¡°why did you just vuln sacram?¡± White Our heads snap over to the pool that we fell into. Now that I look at it, there seems to be a strange glow to it. ¡®Bella kimfar vin loun.¡¯ Both of us begin to spasm uncontrollably on top of one another, and not in the fun way. At first it just felt like my body went numb, and then I wished it had stayed numb. It felt like our bodies were tearing themselves to shreds, and then slowly coming back together just to repeat the cycle. Why was wellop happening? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Archmage Lyrian POV: ¡°Uhhh, Sir?¡± What¡¯s his face ¡®What is it now? I just got some free time and now some gods damn... hahhh.'' ¡°What is it?¡± Lyrian ¡°You told me to keep you apprised if one of the Mana Pits had caught subjects?¡± What¡¯s his face ¡°Aaaand?¡± Lyrian ¡®Okay this might be good news.¡¯ ¡°Well¡¡± What¡¯s his face ¡®What is he so afraid to say?¡¯ ¡°Will you just spit it out!¡± Lyrian He panics. ¡°Umm, well, it seems to have created two mutants.¡± What¡¯s his face Color drains from my face. ¡°Ahhhh¡. Shit.¡± Lyrian Chapter 6 + Explanation Alright, let''s get some things settled,
