《And then I made my own world》 Prologue - of the First Creator, gods...and creators Once upon a time the First Creator grew lonely, so high above all his creations and thus created the gods. Unfortunately, as the gods were still below him his happiness didn''t last. He was still high, high above them since each was limited in their power. So in his desperation he chose the most worthy, those with admirable honor and not a single fault to become his equals. Being absolutely honorable and showing their gratitude they were dutiful children. They followed all of his examples, learned from him with reverence and gratitude and created their own worlds in his Image. They were good students and admirable servants who forever placed him before themselves. Or, in other worlds, put themselves below him deliberately. Now, being attentive and intelligent readers you probably get where this is going. Right. The First Creator still didn''t have any equals and, since his own judgment had proven kind of subpar in getting what he wanted he made the lottery and pulled random souls out of his creation. And by random I do mean random. Then he gave them the exact same powers he had. Well, to put it bluntly...among those six he chose...he got me. A 21 year old student of economics with a light addiction to games that revolved around building cities, empires and occasionally playing with a handful of people to control their actions directly and get them to go to school or work, marry and have kids. Well...that and a few virtual reality games. Maybe I should start from the beginning... When I looked at the most recent drop, a sinple copper ring, I pondered whether I should use one of the cheaper enchantments on it and risk breaking it - but sell it for a decent price to some beginner - or just sell it as it was. Rings weren''t that common so it might be a good deal either way. It was getting kind of cold though so I decided against trying anything just then and started walking towards the exit of the cave I''d just explored. Kind of a disappointment, really. There were just two rooms and a couple worms inside. Though why the developers thought rings belonged into the stomach of an earth worm in the middle of a mountain was a mystery. If it was me they''d just drop...oh, maybe shards of semi-precious stuff like quartz. Maybe occasionally a bit of ore or something that they might have eaten somewhere down there while digging through the rocks. So I set my foot down on the soggy, muddy cave floor and it turned dark. Loorking for my foot I found it gone. Fucking blackout. With a groan I reached for the eject button, but that was gone, too. Just as I was about to freak out I...okay, I did freak out because I realized that there was NO HAND EITHER. -5 minutes later - Once I realized that screaming and hitting things or asking questions were very futile things to do without lungs, a body or a mouth I got quiet, though I do have to admit that I was still freaking and cursing whatever developer had failed to find this bug in the system. I mean, seriously, I was caught in VR! In a dark nothing, while my body was beyond my reach. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "Eject!" I demanded, well, thought, but nothing happened, just like the first few hundred times I''d tried anything from ''Get me out of here or I''ll sue your ass off'' to begging pitifully. I swear, I''m never going to climb into one of those pods again. Since my last attempt had failed, too, I just sat there, hoping that my roommate would notice that I hadn''t left the stupid thing to cook. Since it was my turn I was willing to bet she''d come to drag me into the kitchen asap. I''d do the same, after all. But after what seemed forever there was still no angry roommate, probably because time just seemed to crawl for me and it hopefully hadn''t been all that long... I definitely would sue those corporate idiots. Imprisoning someone in a black space against their will was illegal after all. Them boing a rich company I might not even need my degree in the end...maybe this wasn''t all that bad after all if I could get them to pay through their nose for it... After ages spent in the black space there was a white light all of a sudden. The white light turned into a letter. Kind of curious I started reading. "Congratulations! If you sign this you will become the ninth creator with all powerful might and all. No, you can''t refuse. Yes, you will be immortal. Yes, you''re going to be as powerful as I am, the most powerful being and the First Creator, origin of all and so on. Yes, you can make your own universe though I''d suggest you start with one world. No, you can''t interfere with other creator''s universes. Well, you could. The others would probably start messing with yours if you did it without permission and you would regret it. You would. If you have anymore questions please ask either Soriel or Nanael, talk to me again when you''ve finished your first world. And no, I''m not going to teach you. Yours, First creator. Now sign here: " Oh-kay. Apparently this creator guy had some screws loose, probably a weirdo hacker. So maybe I wouldn''t get my big, rich case with the VR companies. Though I thought there was something about keeping the users safe from harm while using the game in the laws... Either way, if I just stayed in this black space I''d go mad so I...how the heck am I supposed to sign anything without a pen, or arms for that matter? I clenched my fists and was about to start screaming when I realized that I had just clenched my fists. Hey, I had fists! So, since I still lacked a pen, I pushed my thumb against the free space next to the sign here order. The 1st try: Hacker dude is a genius! Okay so hacker nutjob guy must have been a genius and this was his way of proving it. I really knew how to make stuff from nothing, though there was only chemistry and some biology as base knowledge in there. Nevertheless, I started by making a planet. Make a big chunk of rock with molten lava inside and some water on top and you have your very first world. Easy! And so realistic¡if this game ever came out I was so gonna buy it. The textures of this thing were just amazing, way better than any game I¡¯d ever had. Plus I could just take everything I¡¯d created and the sense of touch was worlds better than any other game. I had no clue how the pod managed all the info but it was just so realistic I could talk about it forever. So, anyway, there was a planet and earth and water. Time for plant number one. Okay, so this wasn¡¯t hard. Take some matter, use some of the biology instructions, use my memories and we¡¯ve got a pretty daisy. I imagined the daisy becoming real in the rock part of the planet and it froze solid. Oh-kay. Ah¡why the heck did that happen? I looked again and it became kinda obvious. No atmosphere and no sun meant¡.freacking cold. Fumbling a bit I tried to measure the temperature, but my new senses were kinda screwy. Shouldn¡¯t there be a status window or management thingie or something? This game was crap after all if it didn¡¯t even have something so basic. I tried calling some commands, but nothing happened. Then it occurred to me that this creation thing might be useful for just making my own, too. So I thought about what exactly I wanted and¡yay, there it was! Though it only had the entries ¡®life-friendly atmosphere¡¯ in % and ¡®temperature¡¯ in ¡ãC, a blue window popped open with the info I wanted. Okay so the temperature was very close to absolute freezing point where nothing could survive. Atmosphere was at 0%, which really didn¡¯t surprise me since there was no life anyway. So I made a sun. I first made a pretty, big sun that unfortunately collapsed in itself and then burned the plan¡.ah, that unfortunately didn¡¯t work out. The idea with two suns was pretty cool too so I tried that next, but¡ I¡¯m gonna skip that part. So anyway, I made a sun. And I didn¡¯t break and recreate my planet all that often, honest! The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. And then I made a bunch of teeny tiny plant things that ate the ground and turned out the perfect atmosphere for life, which was a bit different from what my own hometown had. So, more like my own idea of perfect air. Then I made one type of fruit tree, grass and some kind of green plant that wasn¡¯t weird and disgusting and slimy but kind of like the tree I made, just under water. Just one type of each, but whatever. I spread those over all the land except the icy parts, a nice green carpet. Then I added daisies. So there were abundant fruit trees, no seasons meaning eternal summer and I only needed people to make it perfect. I started out with a standard human. Them made it really really long lived. And added pretty long ears. High cheekbones and a small, full mouth. Big eyes¡nice chest, flat belly, amazing legs, hair that could be any color imaginable plus skin and eye colors that would fit the hues¡she was amazing. Anything I¡¯d ever dreamed of really. The most beautiful creature ever. The guy looked like this famous actor whose name I kept forgetting, just with long ears. I made those two plus a couple variations, one more beautiful than the other, and then set them down on my world of eternal summer with abundant fruit. I made paradise! So I set time on fast spin and¡well, turns out paradise where you don¡¯t even have to build a house or work or do anything but pick up the fruit isn¡¯t exactly the best thing for a species with zero natural enemies. I¡¯ll say it bluntly. I know now why apocalypse and conflict might be great ideas if you¡¯re a creator. They ate until they were morbidly obese, they had sex until they had dozens of kids and aside from that they did absolutely nothing except argue among themselves over petty things. They didn¡¯t even go out to explore, even just out of boredom! That was not exactly what I¡¯d imagined when I made paradise. I was almost happy when they set fire to the forest over some argument and killed off the whole population with all the smoke. Oh well. I erased all the traces and then the plants. Just three types of plants are getting really boring if you have to look at them for ages. This game was more difficult than I thought. Time to ask those tutorial dudes! 2nd Try: The Tutorial is hopeless, but Ill manage Okay, so...how do I contact those tutorial dudes from the letter? I think one of them was something with Nana...I forgot about the other one. I checked for any convenient message signs, but there were none. So..."Tutorial?" I said out loud, but nothing happened. I''m not usually the type who uses internet guides or, well, tutorials, so I really wasn''t used to finding those things. I willed Nana-whatever and the other tutorial NPC to appear, but I got the feeling that that was too vague a demand for the AI to understand. At least that was what my ''power'' told me and where else except from the AI would this come from? Being all powerful, apparently, didn''t mean being all knowing. My brain was too tiny for that. Being all powerful I could try changing that, but judging by my stellar success so far...I''d better wait until after I got a grip on this stuff. Since there was no tutorial button, no messages and I had no idea where to go to find tutorial dudes Nana-something and Number Two I went for the most familiar way of getting things done. "Help!" I screamed, loud enough to be heard everywhere. Lo and behold, it worked! Barely a second after I started screaming a guy with wings in a nightshirt showed up. Kind of hippie looking, with a beard and long blonde hair. So the design sucked a little, if the hacker dude asked for my opinion on this game I''d tell him to change those guys against something cooler. Then the nightshirt guy kneeled before me. He kneeled...the hell? He didn''t say anything, he just kneeled. What is this, a temple where a priest waits for their god to notice them? ...looking at the situation like that...I was supposed to be a creator. And angels were god''s servants. Maybe Hacker dude wasn''t quite as stupid as I thought. If he took the beard off this guy, that was. I mean, honestly, long hair and a beard? I wouldn''t date this guy. "Start tutorial." I said, trying to be clear enough for the AI to get what I wanted. The nightshirt guy tilted his head in confusion. "High one?" He asked in a voice that sounded like ringing bells. Weird voice. And totally unhelpful if the AI didn''t even get what a tutorial was. Hacker genius couldn''t have forgotten something that basic, could he? "How do I make loads of plants without designing each one separately?" She started very simple. She could probably use that method on animals and such, too. Later. First was plants and some small animals. But I was not going to spend a million years on making a bunch of boring plants! The useless help guide fidgeted and then, finally, answered with some useful Info: "Creating basic versions of the lifeforms, setting a degree and direction of mutations and waiting until they develop is the First creator''s preferred method." "Thaaaank you." I rolled my eyes. "Was that really so hard to answer?" I didn''t wait for an answer this time but made a few basic things. A menu for the settings as far as development went. In it I had the following options: Growth Rate Rate of Mutation Fertility Rate Poison Healing properties Sentience Cross breeding potential Height Width Life expectancy I then decided to make a really basic thing. One of those one cell plant things similar to those I''d used to get an atmosphere the first time I tried this. Then I used the settings on it: Growth Rate: 10 Rate of Mutation: 10 Fertility Rate: 10 Poison: 1 Healing properties: 1 Sentience: 0 Cross breeding potential: 10 Height: 0,1 Width: 0,05 Life expectancy: 1 A thing that would change and develop quickly, stay small and...wait, what if the Mutations could change settings? I kind of did want something like Ents, only prettier. Just not everywhere... After some thought I added a new heading and took out the sentience thing. After the correction it looked like this: Species: Plant Type: A Growth Rate: 10 Rate of Mutation: 10 This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.Fertility Rate: 10 Cross breeding potential: 10 Height: 0,1 m Width: 0,05 m Life expectancy: 1 year No sentience possible and actual measurements. No Healing and Poison either, just a small basic plant. Good for covering the world. I made a kind of book and saved the plant in there. Any variations would show up in the book, too, as soon as they appeared. Thinking it over I then made Type B,C and D, which could be a bit bigger than the Type A but had healing 1-5. poison 1-5 and both healing and poison 1-10. Which could mean pure healing 10 or pure poison 10 or anything in between. On second thought...I''d better lower the mutation, fertility and Growth rates later on, when I make people. Or maybe not...I''d probably forget about it. Maybe make them longer lived... So, sigh, I changed stuff them for all 4 types, the Type A looked like this: Species: Plant Type: A Growth Rate: 5 Rate of Mutation: 3 Fertility Rate: 7 Cross breeding potential: 6 Height: 0,01 m - 1m Width: 0,05 m - 3m Life expectancy: 1 year - 10 years Still no sentience though. First were bigger plants. Type E, F, G and H had much lower settings than the others for everything except Height, Width and Life expectancy. But I won''t bore you with details. At the moment they were all the same seedling, only they''d grow to be very different plants - and then naturally develop into all kinds of stuff. For some spice I threw in a type I which would change its settings at random with every new mutation - and had all the possibilites, except sentience. That and a much lower fertility, which was locked at 2. I''m not going to bore anyone by repeating stuff, just notice that I did something similar to mushrooms and then animals. Animals, by the way, were split into three groups. One was herbivore, one omnivore and one carnivore. Those had subgroups and so on, but all had sentience locked at something between 1 and 3. And by animals I also mean insects and frogs and whatever. Don''t be picky. By the way, in case you''re wondering, nightshirt dude just stood there like an idiot and watched. Since I had kind of lost all feeling for whether or not this was going to be balanced I made a new window like I''d seen them in my classes, with lines to show me how much population of which type I had and some more graphs for different Species and then Types and the members of those types. I added filters and all that, too, so I could find out some info in case some future citizen asked for perfect healing plants or something. Or some type went extinct, in which case I might have made a few more mistakes. Now if anything got closer to zero I could help that type out a bit. As I was about to plant my lovely new seeds and spread the animal stuff around on land and sea...my eyes fell on the south pole I''d made. Whincing I realized I almost forgot to add which climates my stuff would need. I admit I went a bit wild after that. Suffice to say that there''s going to be a looot of variation from the very beginning. Having spent what felt like a year making seedlings with different settings (the lists grew rather long for some subtypes) I finally placed all of them on my planet and then set time to fast forward. I watched the planet as green and purple (What? I like purple!) spread all over and occasionally erased some of those things that I didn''t like. Like the giant pink mushrooms. After a looong while and a quick fast forward my world was covered in jungles and a few million plants and...honestly, it was growing over my heat. What I needed was some kind of assistance in maintaining thie plants and animals of this world. Or maybe a few...this stuff was hard! And I still remembered the time of daisies plus three more plants and I really really hated that. Speaking of...I spread daisies all over the world. It was an ugly world without daisies. I''d have to put someone in charge of making sure the daisies were safe, too. 3rd try: Daisy Fairies are NOT OP! 3rd try: Daisy Fairies are NOT OP! Oh-kay. So this whole mess of categories and types and sub types and potential new stuff I hadn''t thought about is getting a bit much for me. Plus I really needed someone to protect my daisies. Those idiotic animals kept eating them. Okay, so I may have added some improvements, making them fresher and even more beautiful and they have a more refined smell and...ahem. They''re the greatest daisies ever! But that''s no reason to eat them! Either way, I needed a bunch of Managers for this nature portion because I''ll never get to play with smarter creatures if I have to make sure none of my sub types are dying. Or anything mutates into super poison for all the other plants. And stop those germs...I hate germs...I kept eradicating them, but whenever I looked away for a bit and let time flow...there they were again. So I needed managers and errand boys. I did have this basic Idea of how to go about it. With a structure similar to the table of options for the other stuff I made those errand boys and then the Managers individually sims-style. This was gonna be fun! Okay, first the errand boys for my daisies. That was the most important point, after all. After some fiddling the window looked like this: Species: Divine Messengers Type: Daisie Fairy Beauty: 100 Resilience: 10 000 Attack:10 000 Defense: 10 000 Fertility: 5 Intelligence: 5 Mutation Rate: 0 Variation: 1 Growth Rate: 10 Difficulty level up: 1 Nature: Gentle, Protective These ultimate Messengers were the First Children of the Creator Talia. They are gentle beings living in small family groups who protect the Creator''s beloved Daisies. They love the Creator Talia above all else for spreading Daisies over all the continents. If Daisies are in Danger of being stolen they will attack immediately. Hmmm...yep. Looked pretty good. Now for looks...A tiny triangular face, huge round eyes...dresses made of other types of flowers... light yellow skin and white hair. No, Daisy Petals for their hair! Then Daisy Petal wings, like fans, on their back. So cute! And strong. Now no idiot animal would dare approach them. Or maybe...Fairies needed magic. So... Species: Divine Messengers Type: Daisie Fairy Beauty: 100 Resilience: 10 000 Attack:10 000 Defense: 10 000 Fertility: 5 Intelligence: 5 Mutation Rate: 0 Variation: 1 Growth Rate: 10 Difficulty level up: 1 Magic Affinity: Plants Magic Power: 20 Nature: Gentle, Protective These ultimate Messengers were the First Children of the Creator Talia. They are gentle beings living in small family groups who protect the Creator''s beloved Daisies. They love the Creator Talia above all else for spreading Daisies over all the continents. If Daisies are in Danger of being stolen they will attack immediately. A little bit of magic so they could build little houses. Something was bothering me about the text though...I didn''t really want any idiot to know my name or they''d start screaming for my help all the time. Maybe I should be the Queen? Queen of all Daisy Fairies. That one I liked. So I switched it. Though...they had no mouth... Species: Divine Messengers Type: Daisie Fairy Beauty: 100 Resilience: 10 000 Attack:10 000 Defense: 10 000 Fertility: 5 Intelligence: 5 Mutation Rate: 0 Variation: 1 Growth Rate: 10 Difficulty level up: 1 Magic Affinity: Plants Magic Power: 20 Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.Racial ability: Telepath Nature: Gentle, Protective These ultimate Messengers of the gods are the Children of the Daisy Queen. They are gentle beings living in small family groups who protect the Queen''s beloved Daisies. They love their Queen above all else for spreading Daisies over all the continents. If Daisies are in Danger of being stolen they will attack immediately. Now it was perfect! My first intelligent species! I made a few thousand variations of the first Daisy Fairy. They didn''t have male and female but sent out pollen from their wings, which fertilized Daisies. And when a Seed from such a union grows and then blooms a baby Daisy Fairy would be born. It was the perfect species. Then I made a bunch of others. Here''s an example: Species: Divine Messengers Type: Tree spirit Resilience: 50 Attack: 55 Defense: 100 Fertility: 2 Intelligence: 10 Mutation Rate: 0 Variation: 1 Growth Rate: 1 Difficulty level up: 10 Magic Affinity: Plants Magic Power: 200 Racial ability: Plant control, immunity to physical attacks Nature: Wise, Protective These Messengers of the Gods protect all large plants by controlling them. They cannot be injured by cutting down the controlled plants. And so on. I made some for each Type. Afterwards I created the Managers, one for plants and one for animals. Plus one for the weather because, honestly...the weather was getting a bit out of control. Or gods, I suppose. Since I was tired of making all those protective things and wanted to see a bit of action other than my Daisy Faries crushing the animal spirits...I added something fun. Species: God Type: Nature - Plants Resilience: 5 000 Attack: 5 000 Defense: 5 000 Fertility: 0 Intelligence: 5 Mutation Rate: 0 Variation: 0 Growth Rate: 0 Difficulty level up: no level up Magic Affinity: Plants Magic Power: 5 000 Racial ability: Plant control, Telepathy Nature: curious, shy The god of Plants. Lord of all Plants and Messengers related to plants except Disies and Daisy Fairies. The Creator granted this being the right to create one Intelligent Species. Yes! A bit of fumbling and a huge tree grew on the Northern Continent. I called her Tiny. Grinning, I appeared before the god. "Hey kid." The tree rustled, but I understood perfectly. "Mommy!" For some reason I got the impression of a high pitched, cute voice that somehow didn''t really fit this massive tree. It was so adorable I added two more zeroes to its resilience and defense each. True, that''s Overpowered, but as my little sister used to scream: Cute is justice! Even if my baby god was kind of huge and, well, a tree. At least she had lots and lots of blossoms. That reminds me, there were still no seasons...just eternal spring. Maybe later. Since Tiny was so cute I patted her huge trunk. Vines slid over the forest floor and wrapped themselves around me as if they wanted to hug me. No, they did hug me. My baby liked her mommy! I immediately decided that she needed some bodyguards, so I introduced Guardian Daisy Faires. that would be born in the Daisies around her, and only there. Those Guardians looked like any other Daisy Fairy, but they were ten times stronger and loved Tiny as much as they did Daisies. "I made playmates for you!" I announced happily when the first Guardian Daisy Fairy climbed out of a newly blooming Daisy. 4th Try: Im sick of creating. I want to play! 4th Try: I''m sick of creating. I want to play! ((to anyone worrying about OP fairies...remember Talia''s character...and her very first try. That should be an ovious hint.)) I opened my eyes and looked around. Not surprisingly I sat on a Daisy in a pretty field with all kinds of flowers, about a quarter of them Daisies. Did I mention that I really really like Daisies? (Author''s note: I prefer cherry trees in case anyone''s wondering. The Daisies...honestly I have no idea where I got that idea...) After the creation of Tiny and her two totally inconsequential brothers I set the world on fast forward and then allowed myself to be born as a Daisy Guardian. With a smile I looked at the huge world around me and found Tiny''s crown beyond the forest that had allowed a small clearing full of Daisies to form. And other flowers, but those aren''t important. I flew in my tiny baby Fairy body and giggled. I could feel the air under my wings and a gentle breeze on my skin. Flying was easy and my body was powerful. As I made my way towards tiny I noticed humanlike plant creatures in the trees, building new homes with vines and by shaping the trees. A lot of them had a remarkable resemblence to my human self. Apparently she went for a ten female to one male ratio...this ability I''d given to her as a present was totally worth whatever her brothers would throw at us. Fortunately I had restricted the points they could give. They had about a third of those I''d allowed Tiny to give out to her creation. Hey, cute is justice and besides, this is my game! Go play your own if you disagree. Either way I caught a look at Tiny, but she was sleeping. She usually did, being a tree. Okay, so, no Tiny to show off my form to. Suddenly I was grabbed from behind and cuddled. "Awww. Good morning little one." A sweet voice spoke in my mind and I looked up. A Daisy fairy was looking down at me with a gentle gaze. "Do you want to be my baby? Darling, I found a baby for us!" She called, and a second later another Fairy showed up, this one slightly taller than the first. With shorter petals and broader shoulders. A darker voice hit my mind like a cool wave. "Hello little one. Have you been fluttering about, all alone?" Being too young to use telepathy just yet I nodded. "You don''t have parents yet?" The higher voice asked. The other one was looking at me hopefully and gently petting the petals on my head. I shook my head. I hadn''t quite anticipated this development. So I was going to be adopted apparently. To make my opinion clear I cuddled against the first Fairy''s chest, which earned me an even tighter hug. With me in her arms they flew into the forest, back to where Tiny''s creations were apparently busy building. Into a kind of very lage basket woven of vines that smelled fresh and moist we flew, apparently the home of several of those Tree People. Treelings I decided to call them. Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! There was a platform hanging from the ceiling and on that platform there were pillows and blankets, all of living plants. It was like fairyland. The larger fa...oh, I''ll just call the other one father even though there''s no genders. He feels like a father. Anyway, the larger one called two of the younger treelings and I caught something about ''serve'' and ''Prince''... Then they bowed to me. That...I mean, the heck? Apparently I was a prince now? A few days later I had grown a little bit and the Treelings packed our things. Since I had apparently forgotten to include, oh, hard stone anywhere near the surface, iron or anything similar there were only plants, teeth and fur that could be used as tools. Though why on earth my daddy, who was apparently a ''Lord Guardian'' had a collection of what seemed to be cat''s teeth was beyond me. Oh and by the way, I think the Treelings are our servants. How they''re paid is still a mystery though. In any case, I was brought along to some other place. Since the Treelings couldn''t fly we rode on tiger like cats that were actually herbivores, green and purple like the forest around us. They were tame like pets and I had lots of fun wrestling with the huge creature, which seemed to make my father proud and gave me the ''hand to hand'' skill and the ''grappling'' subskill. I also gained three levels during our journey, even though the cat was so weak I had to be careful not to hurt it. The treelings started avoiding me for some strange reason after that though. I still didn''t have any idea why. After days of traveling at a fast speed, almost as fast as a car, we arrived at a castle. It was made of huge trees, the size a human castle would have been, with a city around it. Was that city my parent''s home? When we entered through a gate braided with vines full of flowers and fruit Treelings and the mist people the weather god had created greeted us. It seemed a tiny bit stiff for some reason, almost frantic. I wondered why. A bit further back were the actual humans that idiotic animal god made. If I''d known he was going to introduce something so mundane...oh well, he was probably just trying to please me. I kind of let out my frustration at him about those animals trying to eat my Daisies. In the air Daisy fairies danced and wind spirits wove pretty patterns into the clouds. Everywhere there were Daisies, except on the streets. It was stunning and I just sat in my father''s lap on the pretty purple tiger and watched with sparkling eyes. This was so different from creating and watching from above! 5th Try: Daisy Fairies are not Tyrants... 5th Try: Daisy Fairies are not Tyrants... I clapped my little hands and waved and flew about a bit, until my father caught me and made me sit down in his lap. "You are a noble Guardian, little one." He pointed out gently. "Other races are split by language and weak. They do not have any favor in the eyes of the gods, not like the Daisy Fairies. And among the Daisy Fairies we are a special existence. We were created to rule and protect this world and punish all sinners." Well it was nice that he was teaching me, but...what the heck? Born to rule? "Your mother and I made the traditional journey to the great Tree and were granted the heir we wished for. And that was you!" With a smile he put his index finger on my nose, but I wasn''t in the mood to be playful. "The great goddess gave you the power to rule, my child, so that you would make our empire greater than it ever has been." He kept talking nonsense. I mean...he couldn be serious! Could he? Because that kind of wasn''t the plan... I quickly checked his stats. He was only level 15, pitiful if you consider how easy it was to level up for Daisy Fairies. There wasn''t even a level cap. His agility, endurance, strength and everything else were still absurd. I checked my mother. She...was level 2? Even I was level five even though I''d only played around flying through the forest and crappling with the tiger! This...kind of reminded me of my first world... But they were doing stuff. They were kind, so they were surely wise rulers and the other races bowed to them because they wished for their protection. So what else could Daisy Fairies do except grant that wish? Of course it was like that. Obviously. I kind of hoped so... I looked around and saw the cheering crowds and the hope in people''s eyes. Yep, they were wise rulers! This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. Finally we had crossed the city and arrived at the castle. It consisted of trees grown in various shapes and braided twigs and vines, bushes and many other plants as well as furs and carpets. Lots of fur. And statues made of bone depicting dancing Fairies everywhere! There were paintings of bowing humans and mist people, of Treelings serving the tiny Fairies, of Daisies and Daisy Fairies. It was stunning up close. Getting reincarnated in your own world is amazing! Paradise! During our tour through the palace we eventually entered what looked like a mini arena. There were two humans in there, both with levels over 100! Even though they were still young, maybe 25 years old. They must have trained a lot because their skill levels were great too. As I watched with wide eyes my father ruffled my petals and then jumped into the ring to blast both of them away with the wind pressure of a single punch from his tiny fist. The humans looked furious and helpless at the same time, enough that I felt kind of sorry for them. There he was, a great Guardian, blasting them away without any training... Which....might not have been very fair...come to think of it... I looked at father accusingly, but he just laughed. "They''re just Daisy crushing criminals on death row." He said with an encouraging smile. As if that made sense. So....maybe Daisy Fairies are tyrants after all? To Daisy crushing sinners... Slowly I realized that I might possibly have made a tiny little mistake. Again. "It''s the first law of the empire! Any Daisy crushing fiend deserves death since there might be a Fairy in that Daisy''s seeds. And any race that has ever shown hints of endangering fairies must be tightly controlled, to ensure the safety of the Daisies." Damn it. I made Nazi Fairies! 6th Try: Tantrum Time 6th Try: Tantrum Time Talia¡¯s now tiny face contorted into a look of disappointment so vast it was obvious even despite the lack of a mouth. Her tyrant godfather of a daddy blinked at her in confusion, his¡its pretty face a picture of innocence. Tiny, adorable, extremely pretty Daisy Fairies. Her favorite little ones. Her precious, prefect utopia¡ Well¡okay, maybe her previous track record was kind of an indication¡why would she all of a sudden be able to make a perfect world if she had failed so spectacularly until that point? In her frustration she opened the Daisy Fairy window and the guardian window, then threw all of the settings for future generations to levels only about three times those of the others. Damned be all the goddamn Daisies. Wholesale murder and slavery or Daisies? She could just make a moon and plant Daisies there. Let those Nazis be judged in Hell! She pulled a dark prison out of nowhere and set it up in the sky. With a cold gaze she looked at her father, like she would muster an Insect. ¡°You¡¯re a huge disappointment, you know that?¡± She said coldly, using her creator¡¯s abilities. Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more.¡°Little one?¡± His suddenly thin and confused voice was balm on her enrage heart. The day of judgment was here! The scared servants fled while Talia started kicking the trees and statues and paintings, causing quite a lot of havoc in the palace out of pure frustration. She shattered the trophies of murdered animals, the pictures of enslaved and suppressed people, while her ¡®father¡¯ tried to stop her. Since she had grappled with a tiger nearly as strong as her infant self she had gained skills ¨C unlike him. So she managed to slip out of his grasp despite his much greater strength. With furious eyes she glared at him. ¡°You broke it! You broke it all!¡± She screamed and desperately wished she were home. If she could just get out of that damn pod, preferably before she stepped into the dark¡ To her utter confusion the pod opened and her roommate burst into the room. ¡°Tali! It¡¯s your turn today, so why exactly are you still playing?!?¡± The 7th Try: Fairy Kebab preparations…hopefully… The 7th Try: Fairy Kebab preparations¡hopefully¡ ((sorry these are short, I¡¯m traveling by train atm¡and using cell phone¡)) I looked at my friend with big eyes for a second before I decided to forget about it. First¡cooking. I really wished I could just do magic and something would appear, but how probable was that? It wasn¡¯t like I was a real life creator. I¡¯d definitely have to check out whether I could get back into the game later on though. As far as I could tell very little time had passed. As I stood there looking at nothing Sammy slapped her hand against my forehead. ¡°Good morning?¡± She stood in front of me, looking at me like a farmer at a mooncalf. ¡°Cooking? Now? Or did your brain fry in that pod?¡± I nodded. ¡°Yeah, it got nice and crispy. I¡¯ll¡you know what, I¡¯m just going to make pasta. Now.¡± Before my brain had time to get back to pondering I walked out the door and then into the kitchen through our incredibly massive hallway. It was at least 2 square meters big! It definitely kept fat people from moving in. So anyway, in our slightly larger kitchen I started making pasta. With sauce from the bottle, warmed via microwave. Yes, I was a genius when it came to cooking with very little effort. Anyway, I¡¯m not going to talk about or table manners here, so suffice to say that we had none. Sofa and TV in Sammy¡¯s room were much more comfortable. Anyway, afterwards I climbed into my pod and, expecting Hacker san¡¯s game, pushed the on button. ¡ I stood in a cave, with a ring in my hand. In the other game, the one that suddenly looked really cheap. Enjoying the story? I really wanted to roast those fairies. I was done with happy go lucky paradise! I wanted dragons and Imps and a demon lord at my feet! In a world full of fire, with apocalyptic wildlife and horrible dark woods that ate little kids! With a red sun in the sky! I kicked the ground and set a pretty large part of it flying. Dark grey earth with red streaks¡ I looked around and¡uh¡I was in Hacker dude¡¯s game? And in a demon realm thing¡or rather, in the world I had just imagined¡ In front of me there were the demon lord, dragons and imps, kneeling. Oh-kay. This was easy. ¡°We are but your servants, dark goddess. What is your wish?¡± The demon lord said. And I grinned. My face turned into one resembling his, I grew horns and wings and gave myself a bigger chest and a dark red dress. Looking like a real demonness, I swung my hands in an Arc and created a gate. Through it a pretty green and purple forest full of Daisies became visible. ¡°Your first duty is to produce children. Your second duty is to grow strong. And your third¡¡± My teeth flashed as I paused, ¡°¡your third duty is to eradicate all Daisies!¡± I screamed while the demons roared. That¡took a while. When we calmed down one of the dragons raised a paw, like a kid at school. ¡°Goddess? What are Daisies?¡± The 8th Try: And then I did something incredibly stupid I stared at the thing I had just created for several moments, then sighed. Right. Lava rivers weren''t a good combination if one wanted to plant daisies. Seriously, the whole world over there was getting tiring! Nothing was working the way I''d intended it to and now I found that I had apparently forgotten about lots of other things as well. Speaking of...what did these demons even eat? Well, they could eat daisies as far as I was concerned. "Just go and kill off everything over there, will you?" I grumbled. Then, with a grand gesture, opened a massive gate between the two dimensions. Have you ever heard of fires and explosions in mines? I looked it up while looking for some sort of explanation. On wikipedia it said this: A mining accident is an accident that occurs during the process of mining minerals. Thousands of miners die from mining accidents each year, especially in the processes of coal mining and hard rock mining. Most of the deaths nowadays occur in developing countries, especially China and rural parts of developed countries. Mining accidents can have a variety of causes, including leaks of poisonous gases such as hydrogen sulfide[1] or explosive natural gases, especially firedamp or methane,[2] dust explosions, collapsing of mine stopes, mining-induced seismicity, flooding, or general mechanical errors from improperly used or malfunctioning mining equipment (such as safety lamps or electrical equipment). Use of improper explosives underground can also cause methane and coal-dust explosions. I still don''t really know how it happened, but the moment I opened the dimensional gate there was a massive explosion. Don''t ask me why! Apparently connecting dimensions with fundamentally different atmospheres is a bad idea. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. Now I have two scorched worlds, no more demons and....general wipe, I guess. At least the daisy fairies are gone, but Tiny burned before I realized it and I didn''t want her to live with burn scars everywhere. So I snatched her soul and put her to sleep for a bit. Now...well, time for a new start! The only thing I''m taking is tiny, so bye bye failure worlds! With a thought I called up the main window to look for some delete button or something. And sure enough, when I started looking, it appeared! The waste bin! With the filter it was easy to exclude Tiny''s soul before moving all the other remaining things into that basked. Pressing the reversal button then got rid of everything else. Phew. This was a total failure. Hacker dude should have written a manual, but still...I won''t go looking for a walkthrough! Walkthroughs make games boring, really, so I guess I''ll just start from the very beginning then. Maybe with a sun and a couple planets and meteorites? Instead of trying to get stone with bare hands in minecraft you usually have to make wooden tools first. Cheating diamond weapons and building blocks is just as stupid as punching rocks with your bare fist, so...right. This time I''ll do one thing after another. That could work...maybe... ((if you''re wondering why this has been deserted for half a year...yeah, well, I couldn''t get myself to let everything blow up somehow...and then I forgot?)) The 9th Try: From the beginning! I could tell you about how I repeated the process from before, placing the seedlings of my plant and animal categories on a newly created planet, but...nah. Suffice to say I tried adding several planets to a single sun, but...yes, fortunately I let it go on a test run for about a billion years - fast forward, obviously - because those types of planets influence each other a lot if they''re close and one day everything goes BAM! I''d hate for that to happen on my next world. I admit, I gave up on the idea of several planets in the green zone. But!!! What did work was a strange construction of three planes that go around each other on a complicated path while at the same time making their way around the sun. It admittedly gives me an intresting weather with regular ice ages and no regular seasons I can see, but...that just makes the whole thing more fun! Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, I planted loads of seeds on those three planets and then just let them run for a good, long while. Like, a couple billion years, without my interference. What I got were these three: Planet: Skybridge The largest of the triplet planets, consisting of 60% Water, 26% Desert, 10% Green Coastregions, 4% Oasis Temerature: Day: on average 37¡ãC, Nighttime: on average -20¡ãC Seasons: no clearly defined seasons, tends to have irregular rainy and dry seasons Plants (surface): two general types, one which grows and bears fruit or seeds during rainy times while staying dormand as a seed in dry times. This type also appears around the coasts and in most Oasis (how do you write Oasis plural????). The second type resembles cacti and can be found almost anywhere. Plants (water): Abundant species can be found in nearly any water source. The types number in the billions. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.Other life: All animal types evolved from one kind of water organism. Pure land animals do not exist, although several kinds are capable of surviving on the surface for several weeks by digging into the sand during the night. However heat stroke is a danger during the day. Many Insects are capable of surviving in moist sand or as parasites in cacti indefinitely. By the way, by the time I noticed I forgot about salt in the sea and things like, oh, iron or jewels in the earth it was kind of too late. But hey, I''m god here! So, well, now there are trees with nuts made of gold and such things, too...Tehee... Money does grow on trees in those worlds. The other two were one with 80% Water - It was the smallest and had lots of vulcanoes, but also very lively islands everywhere! It was kind of like loads of tiny rain forests and there was life everywhere! - and one that resembled our earth a bit...but the seasons were a complete mess. Ice ages followed by eternal summer that turned everything into desert and everything in between without sense or reason. Plants still survived there somehow, but animals tended to either spread explosively or die off because I set the reproduction and mutation rates really high there. Life there died off several times before I got it high enough - and allowed them enough power... Now it''s a world of little dragons and firebirds that mostly survive on magic. Oh, yes - I made an energy that''s produced by tiny plant organisms in the atmosphere as a waste product and called it magic! The energy is a bit like electricity and the animals would be computers. Built from matter and run by magic. Honestly, with modern computers and what they can do...that''s basically all magic to me anyways. Just look at this Hacker dude''s game! The 10th try: What if I... ((there were comments about how quickly I made the three worlds in the previous chapter...well, the reason will become very obvious now!)) Hmmm....somehow...this lone sun with those three planets...something is missing. And the answer is obvious. There were no stars in the sky! None at all! So despite Hacker''s amazing realism all of this seems totally fake. Well, no choice... With a sigh I decided to test that hacker''s data capacity to the fullest. At this point this was already a great revolution of pretty much every kind of technology one could imagine, so why not test it all? Thus, with new conviction, I formed a mini sun and started playing bowling with my previous creations. Okay, maybe I kind of corrected the direction a tiny little bit to properly hit, but I got the general direction right! To my surprise a bunch of the magic dragons that had developed naturally burst out of their planet''s atmosphere and raced away into the dark, their colorful scared shining like stars in the depths of space for a little while. Like fireworks. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. The display of those fleeing dragons was so pretty I decided to let them go. A myth about the stars I wanted being dragons flying far beyond the planets...yes, I''d spread that myth everywhere on my next worlds! A pity I forgot to hit recording. Speaking of, why isn''t there a recording button? I tried thinking at the menu, but it didn''t listen to my thoughts for once. Probably that hacker''s way to ensure nobody could show proof of this little game. But honestly, who''d want to get in trouble with him for giving away such an amazing game for free? Anyway, after cleaning up all the splinters and molten bits I prepared myself for a big bang. Let the world creation go its own way afterwards, I at least was sick and tired of trying to get things right that way! ((the next chapters won''t concentrate on our oh so responsible god of creation but a new character.)) Volume 2: Prologue: A new beginning There are many ways, many Arts that give the skilled an opportunity to control others. And there is a family that knows no higher achievement than to master one of those Arts. There was a Grandmother focusing on Calligraphy and Heraldry, on History and Poetry. One carefully worded letter, filled with stories and poems and wisdom of old, written in the most beautiful and elaborate script, a work of Art in every way, made the rejection of the desire she¡¯d expressed almost impossible. How could one deny the request sent in such a letter? Be sending an equally elaborate work, so as to avoid seeming crude? But who could rival her in the creation of such a thing? Any lesser answer would be seen as crude and the reputation and sophistication of the family questioned. There was a mother, known to be pious and giving, humble and kind, full of insight and gentle concern for those who had less. If such a woman came to kneel in a church or temple until near collapse, driven by concern for those her consciousness cannot ignore¡who would not change their course of action, denying such honest and kind pleas to the gods for sympathy? To show a cold heart in such a situation¡what could such a person be seen as except a cold hearted, cruel tyrant unconcerned by those he ruled over and incapable of compassion. There was a father, loyal to the core, always walking the straight path, strong and incapable of lying. If such a man were to swear an oath, who could call him a liar? Who could stand against him in court, where word stood against word? What could such a person hide? And how could anyone even think he might have secrets or betray his lord? There were very nearly none who could even consider the possibility. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. There was an eldest son, athletic and sleek, confident and light hearted, full of fun and laughter and easy jokes. Everybody knew he was a liar, but if they found he had lied they still couldn¡¯t hate him for everybody knew he meant no harm. To tell on him would ruin all the fun and make others hate the one who sang of things all those with humor loved, the one who made the most boring gathering a thing of fun and joy. To call him a spy would be such a dirty word. Such skills, too, had their place in that clan. There was a daughter, beautiful and charming, whose magic made her only more so, whose skills could turn an ordinary room into a world full of wonder. To be with her was to live a dream, in many ways. And if the magical fairy of myth whispered words in the right ear, that ear was only too welcoming to hear them if it promised to bring just a little more time in such a sweet, sweet dream. There were more, of course. There was a whole branch family dedicated to Dialectic in all its facets. There were those, who studied enchantment to let the line between mists and reality blur until it becomes an inseparable thing of mystery. There were those who sought to bewitch an audience with their music. The field of manipulation is truly vast. And all ways could be found in this family. All ways. All of them. Weathering...or something like that It was drizzling. Her parents said that it was raining, but that was not the state of things as it was seen by most of those who were younger than 30. Because drizzling rain was the kind of rain that allowed them to play ball without outright drowning in mud. Thus, it was merely drizzling. This point was rather important to a child of 6. Since if one categorized all rain as rain then she had never seen any other type of weather, like most other kids. Her granny often told them stories about the sunshine of her youth, but none of the kids really understood what she was talking about. Thus it didn''t really matter. It was kind of like the stories about mages that had been spreading with the traveling merchants. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Either way, since it was merely drizzling, one little girl with honey coloured skin and bluish black hair or, as her sister insisted, a blue so dark it appeared black, took off her fuzzy socks, slipped into her clogs and ran outside. She had friends to meet and games to play. Her mother, she noticed, was apparently busy weaving as usual judging by the clicking and clicking coming from the workshop, so there was no one to force her to go and do chores when she was just about to go play. Whistling, her wooden clogs splashing in the mud, she raced towards the big field.
