《Azure Warrior》
Prologue - Bloodstained Room
Prologue
¡°Take a weapon, and learn¡±
What¡ is this?
Waking up to their room is the usual routine for any person, but why am I waking up to the smell of something rotting, and the red walls are blood curdling? There are blades in front of me, and a ring on my finger that I can¡¯t get off.
Looking at the weapons, you¡¯d see two daggers, a short sword and a buckler, an axe and a bow.
¡°Take a weapon, and learn¡± the words came again. This had been on repeat for the past 20 minutes, and I hadn¡¯t moved. From a normal point of view, the voice did come from a child, only it was riddled with bloodlust.
No¡ Why is this happening to me? It¡¯s too realistic to be a dream.
The boy Satsui, looked to be around 16, with a birthmark just under his eye trailing down to roof of his mouth. He was a guy who cared little about his looks and wore glasses. His brown hair was shoulder length and covered his eyes. He was a cautious person and would usually carry a knife on him for his own safety.
Do I have to choose?
He was a healthy teen, and the only the only downside was his friends.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. He had none.
¡°So, what do I need to do?¡± his rough voice was transmitted across the room, hoping for a reply from the voice.
Nothing.
¡°Hello?¡±
Nothing.
The weapons, with the daggers being most noticeable, with crystal azure blades and the hilts wrapped in a turquoise tape. Unbeknownst to him, the blades were radiating a faint light.
AN ) So yeah, this is my prologue.. I¡¯m not sure as of where I want this story to go, but I want to try get into writing a Webnovel. I¡¯d appreciate if you could give ideas, reviews (preferably constructive criticism, or just criticism.) I¡¯ll get a lot better with trial and error too. Again, this is my first novel and I want to try get it to be a moderately long original.
Additional to that, I can be pretty undecided when it comes to the writing. It''s pretty little in terms of words, but i removed around a third of my writing before submitting it >_<
Chapter 1 - Waking up to an Unfamiliar World
Chapter 1 (this is more or less a mini info dump, sorry!)
Without much thought he grabbed the daggers. Within seconds he felt dizzy and collapsed.
........
He awoke to an unfamiliar ceiling again only this time his head hurt. Hurriedly he stood up and realised he was wearing a chinese styled traditional wedding garment, with the daggers nowhere in sight. The ring was still there though.
¡°Young master!¡± a young woman dashed into the room with a worried look and had the aura of a doting parent.
¡°Huh?¡± he let out a sound
He soon noticed the changes around him and assumed that he wasn¡¯t in his own body anymore.
¡°Satsui?¡± she tilted her head at an angle that made her look rather cute
¡°Ah, Shun Mei¡¡± he answered instinctively before scowling.
How did he know?
¡°Eh, I¡¯m sorry for intru...ding¡¡± her voice betrayed her and she instinctively kotowed with fear in her eyes.
¡°Get up and go¡± Satsui said. He scratched his neck, with the questions flying around his head, putting it into overwork. For one, he wondered why the woman kotowed towards him. Master given, but was he that scary?
*CLICK* he flinched. The sound came from his skull and made his body tremble. Feeling pricks all over his body he was beginning to become confused. Although the clicking settled, the pricks soon turned into a searing pain which invaded his body, . He was resisting the urge to scream as he knew something big was going on, and collapsed. He blacked out for the second time.
........
He woke up in another room. It was pure white and new memories were flooding his head. He could recall the past events of his life¡ His stature was a failure of the main Zhuque Clan. A complete embarrassment for the family, perhaps the only reason why he wasn¡¯t bullied. This didn¡¯t stop the fact he still had no friends, apart from a girl who cared little for strength.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The reason he was a failure? He was unable to cast fire spells, which his clan were renowned for. He could only learn the support spells, which the family wouldn¡¯t even help him with.
The Four Great Clans of Taifu were Zhuque, Baihu, Qinglong, Xuan Wu, and each had come to be known by a nickname that could strike fear in the hearts of people depending on the use.
The Zhuque Clan had ¡°Rulers of the Flame¡±, Baihu being ¡°Masters of Defense¡±, Xuan Wu Clan were the ¡°Riders of the Wave¡± and finally Qinglong were known as ¡°Guardians of the Mountain¡±
Other than those Four Great Clans in the Taifu Continent there were hundreds of clans spread across the world, but most were afraid of offending the Four Great Clans - They gave gifts annually to a Clan in hope to please them. They were like ants in the presence of a Overlord.
So, I¡¯ve decided to try with a Chinese themed story, but I don¡¯t know too much about chinese culture (Smart right!?). I Was planning to try make my schedule Sunday and Thursday, but for now I think I¡¯ll go with unscheduled releases while I learn about some of it.. I¡¯d like to say I know the basics, but I really don¡¯t ¡®-.-
This could turn out a disaster. (I hope you still stay though)
If it does I¡¯ll pick something more in my comfort zone next time.
I¡¯m sorry about the mini info dump so early.
I¡¯ve decided on a weak to Strong setting as well!
Oh, and i''ll do Author Notes or something each chapter in the code format
Chapter 2 - Wedding
Chapter 2
Satsui''s body was unable to produce fire. That wouldn¡¯t be a problem, as he could train in other elements. Only, he was born into the Vermilion Clan. The People in the Taifu Planes respected them for their skill in controlling fire. Satsui couldn¡¯t even summon fire using simple spells.
The bane of the Vermilion Clan.
¡±But why am i getting married?¡±
He knew little about the woman he was being married to.
She had a rare body type in the Taifu Planes which allowed her to get twice the results of a normal practitioner. Such bodies exist?
This body appears once every hundred years, and sometimes you may be lucky to find a second one in same century. This rare body was something that even the Great Clans lust for, because that person is guaranteed to become an expert due to their ¡®talent¡¯.
Once that person finally trains their soul and becomes a deity they would have an incredible expert to back them up once they¡¯re in need.
This was a win-win situation, for both the Clan and the woman in question. Only why would they marry ¡®gem¡¯ to the old me?
With my abilities in the picture, I could be considered lower than servants.
¡±A marriage?¡±
¡±Perhaps I¡¯m overthinking it?¡±
He was trying to think of all the different possibilities for this marriage. The event was public, with many clans attending. If the woman in question is a beauty, if they try to make me fight for her the Vermilion clan will lose face, and consequences would unavoidable.
¡¡.
¡°Lords and Ladies, I am here to announce some news. Originally, the plan was for Xiang Shu,to be married to Zhuque Satsui, but this is no longer happening. Such talent should not be wasted. Instead, she will be marrying the son of an Elder named Zhuque Feng. This marriage will be commencing in three months. The Vermilion clan hopes you can attend.¡± breathing in he waited till he wanted to speak.
A few scowled at the attitude this man. Dissolving a marriage on the very day it¡¯s happening?. They knew the man talking was Zhuque Li, the master of the Vermilion Clan. They also understood that Zhuque Satsui was an individual who was talentless in fire.
¡°The reason we are doing this, is because as many of you know, Satsui is a Zhuque, unable to use Fire magic. For this reason, we are announcing his that his status as a member of the Zhuque Clan will be stripped. The clan will no longer shelter him.¡± Zhuque Li glanced at everyone before continuing.
¡°His living quarters will be funded by the family, and he will have the ability to go to a public school. We will also fund that. This is all.¡±
They thought about the Master of the Vermilion Clan, and what he had just did. Not only did he directly stop Satsui¡¯s wedding, the clan disowned him? On the same day at that!
In less than a day of being transported to this new plane, he had learned that he was talentless in magic and getting married... The current situation however just made him become clanless. School was being funded due to the humilliation he just suffered with no backing, he would be bullied....
Year 1308, June 30th. From now on Satsui¡¯s life becomes a living hell.
¡¡¡¡¡¡
Year 1308, December 30th. (Halfway through his second school year)
*SLAM* He hit the wall hard. This was the daily routine, which he had gotten used to. His only salvation was a girl called Li Hui, who would save him occasionally. His life was to be beat around by a few hooligans who were weak anyway. If she came, it would end for the day. If not? He¡¯d just endure.
The girl, ¡°Li Hui¡± however was an aberrant. Her intellect compared to other students and the school had allowed her to skip two years worth, but she¡¯d still stay in school until all six years were up. She was an unrivaled Genius and the school had pride in.
Only, she lowered herself to helping Satsui. He had learned when taking the second year test that his aptitude to understand the four elements were all low and hers were exceptional. If he wanted to learn magic, then his best choice would be support magic. The support path rarely picked, so the school had no tutors for it out of a thousand students. There were perhaps one or two students every few years choosing support. If you wanted to support, your lessons would be spent in the library.
¡°Support Master incant-¡± Satsui was murmuring before being interrupted. A red haired boy had appeared in front of him as if it was the norm.
¡°Duel me!¡± He had a smile on his face as if he didn¡¯t know who Satsui was. However, he knew that this person had been in the library every day, reading support spellbooks. He had to be Satsui.
¡°I¡¯m not strong, so please go away.¡± he spoke lightly, and turning around he tried to leave.
¡°Duel me.¡± the previous smile had turned into a sneer. He was completely underestimating him for training in support.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
¡°Lets get it over then.¡± Satsui was slightly angry, but he had been wanting to test out something for a while.
Dueling, was permitted as long as the two students agree to it. There were arenas for that. Murder was not permitted, matches could be stopped by the teachers though, and the conclusion would be that the person with an advantage would win.
¡¡.
They both stepped into the arena, with a large crowd surrounding them...
¡°Oi, isn¡¯t that Byuk Shi?¡±
¡°That Byuk Shi, who nearly killed the third grader?¡±
¡°Look who he¡¯s against! It¡¯s the failure! Haha, he¡¯s going to die!¡±
Satsui had no chance. That was everyone''s thought. After all, his opponent was a ruthless troublemaker.
Only Satsui had other problems.
¡°BEGIN!¡± A teacher shouted.
He casted ¡°Blessing of the Wind¡± to raise his speed - It¡¯s a simple Novice support spell and it wouldn¡¯t last very long. However, it would definitely help dominate the opponent using speed. Coupled with daily training, his speed was fast without it anyway. The enemy however had made his move too, with a smug smile appearing on his face. If he had raised his arm at that moment in time, some people would have seen the thin layer of water which was flowing directly into his hand, creating a sword that solidified in less than a second. When he was in the vicinity of the sword he immediately dodged to the left, and raised a kick to Byuk Shi¡¯s face. It solidly connected and a crack could be heard. Byuk Shi however wasn¡¯t standing, and had been forced back a meter or two. His nose was bleeding and his shirt was wet from the sword breaking. No-one had expected this.
Satsui was rather proud of himself, and when it was silent he finally started to say, ¡°I¡¯m no failure.¡± he never finished though. When he felt like he had been hit by a truck his body went flying. In a hurry he ended up coughing up blood onto his hands trying to stand up. A few sniggered at this.
Rage.
He wanted to do the same to Byuk Shi. Ambush him when he wasn¡¯t looking. His body wouldn¡¯t acknowledge his attempts at moving though, and the same pain that he felt when first coming to this world.
When the pain subsided, he realised that he was groveling in front of Byuk Shi. When he could feel the strange pain his body refused to listen to him. But now that it was gone, it was a different situation. He raised his head, getting ready to attack Byuk Shi.
*CRUNCH*
His head was immediately forced onto the hard floor.
¡°What are you doing?¡± he sniggered at him. He was adding more force whenever Satsui tried to get up.
In this situation with his head working like no other, he could only think about possible spells to get out of the situation. He had already memorised the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced spells, and with that he could easily get out of this situation. The only problem is the second and third choice would put too much strain on his body. The Intermediate spells in the library mainly focused on body strengthening and protection. Choosing an advanced spell for speed or strength would be incredibly reckless, but it was his only choice. He wouldn¡¯t let Byuk get off easy, not after sneak attacking and forcing him into this position.
He immediately started to prepare to cast the Advanced spells ¡°Supersonic¡± and ¡°Giants Fury¡± Immediately after those were casted he pushed himself off the ground, and a hint of surprise appeared on Byuk Shi¡¯s face who was getting ready to kick him and try to shatter his skull.
Byuk Shi couldn¡¯t protect himself. He was immediately slammed to the floor once he had been catapulted into the air. This actually caused the arena to crack, and blood to fly everywhere.
¡°Stop the Fight!¡±
The teacher responsible for observing the fight had finally intervened, only a little too late. Byuk Shi was laying on the ground with blood pouring out of his ears, and a cracked skull.
The teacher however, didn¡¯t need to issue the order to stop. Satsui was on the floor too, with his body having a broken arm, a broken leg, and numerous fractured bones. The remuneration for using spells which strain your body after all wouldn¡¯t let you go unharmed. Usually it would result in broken bones, extreme pain for weeks, or even months. Using them for too long could even impact training speeds, and slow them by up to half, and the time to recover from that was incalculable. It could last days to decades.
With training on the line however, Satsui was already disadvantaged. It wouldn¡¯t matter.
Yay, Chapter 2.
This will probably be one of the last daily releases - It''s a lot harder then i thought it would be!
Hope you enjoy anyway.
I''d be happy if you could suggest what I could improve to make my writing better in the comments
Chapter 3 - Practitioners
Pain.
Another Unfamiliar Room.
A Bloodstained Floor.
His Arm Missing.
--------------------------------------
He noticed an obstruction on his leg when he bolted up but ignoring that, he was sweating from the agony of a dream, the pain just felt too real. A slight pain was felt in his arm when he was fully awake, only he ignored it. Faint lines were trailing down from his shoulder blade to his inner arm - an image that looked like a tribal tattoo in the form of a vicious dagger with deep curves and emanating an slight, but undetectable aura of bloodlust.
He was lying on what could be described as a hospital bed, just the mattress had been replaced with a jelly type substance which would help speed up one¡¯s recovery. Seeing the calendar on the wall, Satsui knew had been out for three days, with his body unexpectedly gaining benefits that not even Satsui could understand. Even without thinking about anything, he immediately noticed that there were massive changes. He could feel other people''s auras. This, normally would be impossible for him. His cultivation was much too low to detect the people in the school after all.
The principle of sensing someone''s aura was that the practitioner trying to sense someone would have to be on the same rank and stage, or even above to perceive that person''s aura. Considering his cultivation was below even an ¡°average L¨¬li¨¤ng Practitioner¡±, he failed to perceive every person''s aura, even if he tried.
His head had become a walking library Previously he had only read up to the Advanced stages of support spell books, but he could immediately perceive incantations which were among the Advanced stage which he hadn¡¯t memorised. His mind was like a mini encyclopedia of spells, fighting styles and even weapons.
Being shocked at his own miraculous changes, he forgot to inspect the obstruction on him. It was a girl around his age. Her deep red hair was laid along her shoulder and was laid along the side of the bed. About C cup and about 5¡¯6, only 2-3 inches smaller then Satsui himself.
She was Li Hui, and the reason that she was labelled as a genius was due to her getting past the bottleneck of L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm when she was only 14. The future prospects would be immeasurable of such a person if she could continue breaking through.
Practitioners would cultivate by bringing their essence through the twelve standard meridians. This would help train the body and Qi. Due to the special body that Satsui had, he was unable to cultivate that and was basically doomed to stay at the lowest level forever as his ¡°Crimson Palace¡±*(1) was unable to produce enough essence for him to send it through his meridians.
Sending the ¡°essence¡± throughout one¡¯s body would slowly convert it into qi, and once it had done a full loop around the body following all 12 meridians it would be stored in a separate ¡°pocket¡± of the Crimson Palace. When the practitioner had fully refined his essence into Qi and been enlightened by the heavens, would they finally be able to step into the J¨©ng Realm.*(2)
Many normal people failed to break past the L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Saint Rank, as they failed to cultivate their essence fully and/or could not gain enlightenment. This was why there was so many adult L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Saints around, and many struggled to advance past L¨¬li¨¤ng.
The average rank of a 30 year old was a J¨©ng Realm Warrior, due to the many people who had gotten stuck at L¨¬li¨¤ng Saint or J¨©ng Practitioner. Li Hui however had gotten past the L¨¬li¨¤ng Stage and had enlightment at the age of 14, and her power towered far past the average practitioners.
The ranks of the Taifu Continent had Five different stages, with Five Ranks.
L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Practitioner - Stage 1 Rank One
L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm True Practitioner - Stage 1 Rank Two
L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Warrior - Stage 1 Rank Three
L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Emperor/Empress - Stage 1 Rank Four
L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Saint - Stage 1 Rank Five
Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
Past the L¨¬li¨¤ng Realm Would be the J¨©ng Realm
J¨©ng Realm Practitioner ¡ - Stage 2 Rank One
J¨©ng Realm Warrior ¡ - Stage 2 Rank Three
J¨©ng Realm Deity ¡ - Stage 2 Rank Five
(et cetera)
The only differences between realms would be the fifth rank, with them changing as they go further up.
The realms were L¨¬li¨¤ng, J¨©ng, J¨©ng Sh¨¦n, Chi and Xi¨¤ng.
The Different Rank Fives in order are Saint, Deity, Demigod, God, and Highgod.
>
L¨¬li¨¤ng Saint,
J¨©ng Deity,
J¨©ng Sh¨¦n Demigod,
Chi God,
Xi¨¤ng Highgod.

The girl on his leg had stirred, probably due to the jolted movements from Satsui. She was a mysterious girl who some believed to have a powerful backing. She would avoid anyone and everyone when possible, even her family. She seemed to have stuck to Satsui at the start of the first school year school though, regardless of his inability to train.
This alone wouldn¡¯t be a problem, if she didn¡¯t avoid every other person than her family or Satsui.
Her temperament was different from others to begin with too, as she didn¡¯t mind protecting him. Weak failure, and spoiled by the genius.
She was only ¡°interested¡± in Satsui.
Many of the insults which were thrown at Satsui when he was probably about the two being together most of the time. Whether she was an opportunist or was interested in him for whatever reason, it evidently wasn¡¯t due to the clan.
¡°Failure¡± and Genius
Only this was no longer the ¡°Zhuque¡± Satsui of the past.
A New Person.
Someone who wouldn¡¯t give up.
Author Wrote: I''m BACK! *who actually cares though* Enjoy the chapter which has been edited for like a week bit by bit *(1) - Crimson Palace - For anyone who reads wuxia / xianxia novels it¡¯s the dantian in the heart Using this i¡¯m only going to be emphasizing the use of the middle dantian, and it¡¯ll just do everything the others do. *(2) - for people versed in Chinese stuff wuxia/xianxia / or are Chinese they probably know Essence is ¾« (J¨©ng) which might confuse them. I¡¯m literally just writing it out randomly, with no explicit detail towards Chinese culture. I just wanted to try to write a book, and I for some reason liked the idea of writing a Xianxia. So, for anyone who actually does truly understand this and is confused by me, I¡¯m sorry. If i know about what I¡¯m writing and i change it, I will do one of these to say though. So I copied this from GDocs anyway and i noticed a few discrepancies pasting from there to here.. *please notify me if something is wrong* I can''t really be bothered to go through it at the moment and will check it sometime else though, unless someone points out a problem. Last week of School holiday anyway, so I''ll go and do the homework I''ve procrastinated. Comment your thoughts or whatever anyway, thanks for reading.
