《As darkness takes thee》
Prologue- A world of darkness. A king to rule it
A throne made of stone, painted in dry blood. Skulls to rest his hands on, locked forever into a scream of despair or madness. There he sat, looking down through the pervasive gloom as his soldiers brought in the woman. She screams as they dragged her before him, the sound caused his head to throb. He gestured once and the woman''s throat was grabbed by the soldier on the right and it growled "Shut your mouth and bow before his majesty." She was thrust into a bow and her knees made a loud crack as they hit the hall''s floor, she had to stifle another another scream in her throat it started. The woman sobbed quietly to herself as He leaned forward to speak "Woman. How did you find my domain? The world of light and darkness are kept separate by power''s far beyond mine, much less yours." He paused with eyes that looked down on her with disdain, he scanned her face and saw her confused and frightened face, offering no answers. He roared and the power struck her, she had no chance to defend herself as her back smashed into the wall. Her broken body fell down and it was obvious she had died instantly. The soldier who had been beside her was pushed back a few steps, the only visible change in the now silent hall. "Find the other one!!!!!!" The king commanded, sending the soldiers rushing to find the man who had escaped deep into the tunnels. The king leaned back and massaged his throbbing head, his claws hitting his hair, he ran a hand through it to fix it again avoiding the horns that curved forward on his head as he closed his eyes and waited for good news
A man rushed through the caves the roars and screeches of beasts sounded out behind him. Shadows somehow danced on the walls in the darkness around him tauntingly! A madness he couldn''t understand nor had the time to as he raced forward trying to keep what he was carrying safe. He looked back, a fatal mistake as he stumbled on a stray rock, he fell forward and forced himself turn his body, slamming his shoulder and knees onto the unforgiving cave floor. The man checked to make sure what he was carrying was still okay, relief flooded through him before being quickly extinguished as he recalled his situation. The man looked around in a panic when he saw a crack that could fit the package he held. He crawled in as close as he could and stunned as he saw an endless forest on the other side. It was like a tale of a fairy realm, tall trees lit by a strange blue glow, a lake covered in floating gold orbs. He was astonished that such a sight could be seen underground but quickly ignored that. He placed the package ,a child, he had been carrying deep as he could right at the edge of grass leading to the underground forest. He concentrated and all of his mana and the mana his wife had sacrificed forever to give him, flowed forward into the summoning symbol. A solid wolf materialized out of it, sighing in relief but saddened by the knowledge that this would be the last time he saw the child. The man leaned forward and his hands touched the child''s forehead, a light blazed forth briefly before fading. The man was trembling, he could barely move as he watched the wolf carry the child away, but he knew he had to lead the monsters away so he burned his life force to become chi. Strengthening his body enough he ran, and ran, and ran till from the shadows something leaped onto his leg and more and more shadows crawled over him, biting as he screamed.

The beasts behind slowed as one of the lead soldiers got caught in a web, the left him dangling there not wanting to aggravate IT. When they heard the screams from ahead they knew it was too late. The soldiers knew that punishment awaited back at Post Lux tenebris, but only death awaited ahead in the domain of vyle.

The wolf looked at the small child, the rich mana in the air would sustain it for quite a while it fufilled it''s purpose to raise the child, it would do its duty to the best of its ability. It claimed a cave on the outskirts and for 3 days and nights fought the savage creatures that the dark forest held on it''s outermost ring. The wolf fed the bodies of the challengers from before to the child. It cocked it"s head and spoke "child of man, I will fulfill my duty. Till then I am your teacher and as your teacher i will be named fenrir. Now tho you do not understand. It is time to learn. And the wolf leaned in and words sounded from the cave the words soon lost into the infinite darkness around them as the blue light faded to show another night had begun.

Chapter 1:A dark awakening
(Pretty sure you arnt supposed to write these on a phone) (and i''ll probably add more on this chapter)
In a clearing in the underground forest Fenrir lay beside the boy he had been tasked with raising and spoke "Relax man-cub, to practice the way of man you must clear your mind and allow the song of the world to guide mana into you." The boy looked at his father as he spoke. The boy didn''t like when his father was in lecture mode, but he couldn''t help but know that father was just trying to make him stronger. Several years had passed but it was hard to tell time down here, his father said that once he gained more control of his power he would be able to sense the flow of time naturally through mana. The boy tried again to enter the calm that was described to him so often. He was never able to grasp the peace his father described. It aggravated him because all the other training he picked up naturally. He sighed and tried again to let all thoughts go, he didn''t notice when it happened but suddenly only he existed. In this state of being where only he existed, he felt like he was stronger. As the power started to rush to his head he became aware of something, something else. The boy looked around and noticed a small dot that was growing. The dot became a line, then a stream, then a lake, a sea, a ocean and finally a world. Just being near it caused his feeling of power from earlier seem insignificant. Then the world quivered before it rushed into his body all at once in and unending stream. The boy screamed as his body cracked, blood flowing from his mouth as the scream faded. Unable to stand it the boy started to lose consciousness, when the face of his father passed before his eyes. He could not pass out!!! He was the son of the proud and powerful wolf Fenrir and he would not be so weak as to ruin his father''s faith in him. Another roar escaped his lips, but unlike before this one was in defiance, he would be the master of the world that was surging into his body! The boy didn''t realize that the mana was stronger here then in the world of the light and that many experienced far less pain in exchange for power in their awakenings. It lasted for an eternity, a lifetime of unending pain that torn and rebuilt his body from whatever the world was made of. Only the thought of making his father proud of him for once, kept him going on. The boy fought hard to stay awake through the pain, but even with the will to make his father proud he could not last the sheer amount of power, and the peace of sleep took him into a deep slumber.

Fenrir looked at the man-cub he had raised over these years and felt a sort of pride at how the child had grown. A pride he could never show as it would make the boy arrogant. He was still young barely 10 but he possessed a strong body and mind. The boy had taken to his more wild, compared to the humans, fighting and hunting styles like an oil to fire. He was constantly devouring the knowledge and skills in a way that frightened even Fenrir as his teacher. The first hunt he had taken the boy on was the only truly dangerous one the boy ever experienced. Fenrir recalled it vividly, He was crouched low whispering teaching on how to walk on the grass to make it produce the least amount of noise possible. Fenrir''s ebony fur blending into the dark which was broken by glowing moss only every once in a while this deep into the forest. his ears twitched as he caught the noise of something small, prey. he described to the boy how to notch the primitive bow he had the boy make. As the boy stood up and aimed, Fenrir had a bad feeling crawl along his spine. What was it that was causing his fur to rise on end, he looked around cautiously seeing nothing in the dark he almost shook off the feeling as nothing important when a flash of gold caught his eyes. he knocked down the boy as a panther leaped for him. The blow hit him hard and his body went flying hitting a tree. hte boy had managed to get to his feet drawing his bone dagger, the sight of it made the panther wary, time enough for fenrir to stand. Drawing upon hi natural chi, Fenrir empowered his body, fixing broken ribs in place for the moment while he fought. The boy proved the perfect distraction as the panther thought him out of commission up until the moment his teeth grasped it''s throat! Even with him hanging from it''s throat it fought on, swinging claws and yowling a stray claw slashing the boy''s chest as he crept closer looking for an opening to help. After a short while the best lay dead, Fenrir left the body as he carried the injured boy to their home in the cave. Fenrir shook out of the memory as he looked down and saw the boy''s slack face and knew that he finally succeeded in achieving a connection to the mana in the surroundings. He only need bathe in the mana pool with his astral self and last the pain for a little while to gain the power necessary to proceed with the next phase of training. Fenrir paused to think about how best to do this when the earth shook. The mana inherent in the air showed itself and surged into the boy''s chest, and his screams drew the attention of some of the more powerful creatures in the outer layer. The old wolf could care less. This amount of mana was dangerous, fenrir had to save his man-cub! Leaping forward Fenrir placed himself over the boy and used his power to condense and purify the mana in an attempt to save the boy. Roars from beasts and monsters grew louder and the wolf answered in kind, fear raced through his mind and mana flowed out of him as he tried to create a magic rune to do it for him so he could be free to fight back. As long as he breath nothing, NOTHING would hurt his son!

Chapter 2: And with it death
Author''s notes: figured out how to actually segment so less ghetto lines now.
Second should I go back and add the fight sequence. I felt it would add more impact to leave it out, but the last chapter feels short to me. Let me know.
The boy awoke from the shadows of his mind. He sat up as his body cracked and popped, his head hurting as he looked around. The boy was surprised by the bright light and loud constant noises, a stark contrast to the usual. As his eyes adjusted he saw the forest outside the cave was ablaze and claw marks marked the entrance. The boy pulled himself to his feet and rushed out to look. The calm scenery from before was utterly destroyed with splinters being the main survivors from what must have been a massive battle. A cold chill crept down his side and a thought half formed brought pure terror to his mind. He yelled out suddenly "Fenrir! Fenrir!!!! Where are you!!" His eyes half crazed as he looked around for the only family he had ever known. Seeing only blood and bodies further in the dark, and receiving no reply, only the echo of his voice reflected back at him. The boys lost hope his eyes reflecting only despair as his knees hit the grass outside his home. He looked out into darkness and it crept closer inviting him into madness and rage, a promise of power.
Fenrir awoke in the far back of the caves where he had dragged his mangled body to watch over his son (the old wolf too proud to ever verbally admit it). He heard the man-cub scream out his name the total fear evident within it, but the wolf could not reply because the wound on its throat was still not healed from the battle. The old wolf dragged itself forward out of the cave, it body barely responding, dragging behind him. He was about to make a sound to get the man-cub''s attention when he noticed baleful aura rising from his son''s back, the aura so black it caused even the fire to be stifled. Fenrir made as much noise as he could through his cuts, and the entity in front of him turned to look back at him. Whatever it was it wasn''t the man-cub! Fenrir took a battle stance ready to fight the one he raised into submission if need be, and if the corruption was too much, death
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
The boy heard a sound from behind him, even through the enticing music of power and revenge that the darkness offered. He saw a figure silhouetted against the fire ready to fight, the figure familiar. The boy knew this was no threat and that the figure only took this stance to protect him. The darkness receded into his pupils as the dark aura that had sorrounded him like a comforting pillow fell down, sinking into the earth. The boy didn''t notice the grass die and the fire go out as soon as he lost the control of the aura. The boy''s cheeks became wet with tears and he bawled as he rushed to hug his father and teacher.
this chapter brought to you by insomnia. Insomnia for when you should get something done
Chapter 3: And its the nightmare of the strong
Sorry about not posting in a bit, was busy with work. This chapter will probably changed completely.
Running a 101 fever, so I''m kinda loopy. But I''m going to try my best
Fenrir was relieved when he saw the darkness fade from the boy''s eyes. Darkness and death, very rare attributes for a human but it should be expected from the environment he was raised in. The old wolf let his defensive posture slip away as he accepted the boys hug, the pain from the wounds over his body nothing compared to the happiness and the awakening of the one he treated as a son. "Man-cub now that you have awoken, you need a name" he said in grumble almost to himself. The boy looked at Fenrir and said "my name isn''t man-cub?" The question caused the wolf to break out in laughter before he quickly told the boy about his mistake. "No man-cub, man-cub is what I have called you because you had not awoken and as such you did not deserve a name yet. Now that you have awoken you may gain your true name." The wolf pulled himself out of the boy''s embrace and nudged him towards the cave, "now let''s go inside so I can rest and heal, the ceremony can take place tomorrow." With that the two walked into the greater darkness of the cave to rest.
That night in the cave.
The boy''s lie on a bed of furs, his body tossing and turning a sign of the nightmares that plagued him. Running, running, running. All he could do was run. The sound of his feet slamming into the ground and the beating of his heart in his chest seemingly deafening in the still air around him. A presence everywhere and the light which came from his long distant memory is devoured leaving only the darkness, but this wasn''t the darkness in which he was raised. This was a darkness that filled the soul with dread, a darkness that
Made even the restless dead quiet in fear. The presence drew nearer even as the boy ran faster trying to escape with all his might. Futility was The word that would best describe the situation. Running for so long so hard it was only a matter of time, then it happened. The boy tripped and the thing which had so casually been following him pounced! Hit into a sitting position the boy saw the thing which had been following him. It was a women clad in a cloak that was made from the blackest parts of the human soul, blending where she began and the darkness ended. He looked back to see a women in white holding his shoulders so he wouldn''t fall over. Her white dress was eerie, a sick color of white that caused one to shudder and to feel as if their skin was suddenly missing from their body. Surprisingly even with these clothes that should make anyone shudder and feel repulsed, one couldn''t look away due to the beauty of the women wearing them. The women in black was tan, in a way that made one doubt whether dark colors truly fit, the Raven hair loosly flowing down her shoulders, eyes that pierced the soul with their blood red glow. The women in white seemed to be her direct contrast, jade white skin and Snow White hair tied up in a bun with a bit trailing down a bit in front. Her green eyes caused one to feel drowsy just from a look. The two women looking at him like a rare animal at a zoo. "This is the one who woke us from our slumber?" The women in white''s voice rougher then he had expected. "Yes and now we will raise him up, because he has potential". "Fine but he will prove it with your power first" at those words both women leaned forward and kissed the boy''s pointer fingers and a ring of emerald and onyx materialized from their lips. "See you when you have power, boy".

P.s this is the hairstyle I meant for the women in white
P.p.s no idea if that actually worked if not then it''s based off mizore''s mom
Heads up,
Hey anybody who''s actually been waiting for more of my not so great writing, I''m sorry I''ve been letting you down. I''ve been picking up a couple of shifts to make some ends meet so I''ve been exhausted and I haven''t really had time to write. That should be ok after tmrw cause I''ll have a few days off work. I have been borrowing a friend''s computer every so often so that''s why the quality has sharply jumped, cause I managed to do some actual editing. Well there''s a heads up. And I hope I can continue writing something worth reading to all of you. Thanks again :)
That the weak shall grow
I didnt actually want to write today because I had to spend several hrs convincing a friend not to kill them self because of a stupid break up.
Relationships are not that important people. It may feel like it but it isn''t. But since I promised to write here we go.
The boy awoke with a start from his dream, he looked down at his hands. There was nothing different about them, he sighed in relief. The women in his dream had been pretty but the danger he felt from just being there had been crippling. He looked around Fenrir and his cave home, it was rather sparse carrying only the tools he would have to use instead of claws and teeth like Fenrir and the beasts in the forest. Now that he thought of it he didn''t notice Fenrir anywhere. With cold feeling in his gut the boy got up to check outside, his father had been injured he had to make sure he was ok. When he reached the mouth of the cave the ambient blue glow from the moss showed a giant circle with interlocking symbols carved into the ground with his father sitting beside it with a look of concentration on his face.

Just got another text, I guess I''ll be finishing this tmrw. Here''s a teaser I guess. Sorry, but friends come first.
I''m freaking myself super hardcore, my friend hasn''t talked to me in several days, and I don''t live near them. I''ve been worrying myself sick
