All I could see was darkness! My body was trembling because of the cold. I opened my eyes and the first light I saw was the yellow cat-like eyes looking down on me. Every hair on my body stood up and my soul shook out of fear. ¡®Monster!¡¯ Was the only thought in my head. I closed my eyes and I tried to move backward, but there was a wall behind me. I opened my eyes to see that the yellow eyes were still looking at me. I tried to understand the situation by finding the body belonging to those eyes, but it was completely dark in here and all I could see was the cat-like eyes staring at me. I looked up towards the yellow eyes "Who are you?" "That''s my question!" I heard a deep and old voice echoing in the place where I was "How did I get here?" "How should I know!" I knew that this thing doesn¡¯t know how I got here and even if it does it might not tell me. I closed my eyes and started to search my memory. The last thing I remember doing was going out to buy milk from the store across of where I lived. [Past Memory] After I got the milk and was about to cross the road, I saw a kid running after a ball in the road. I looked to my left and saw a car speeding towards the boy. "LOOK OUT!" I let go of the milk I was holding and ran towards the boy who was staring at the coming car. I grabbed him in time and moved him out of the way. I looked towards the boy in my hands. "Are you okay?" He nodded his head "Thank you, mister!" He said before I released him and he went in the arms of his crying mother. I looked up and saw many people surrounded us and the stopped the cars *Clap* *Clap* They started cheering and clapping towards me and I went back to get the milk I dropped, but there was a hole in the carton of the milk. After I got the milk again and as I was about to cross the road, I looked towards the left and saw an old man crossing it. I looked to the right and saw a truck coming towards the old man. I dropped my milk again and ran towards him. Unfortunately, this time, the truck was too close so I could only push the old man out of the way. I looked towards the truck and closed my eyes. "BOOM!" I heard the truck hit something, but I didn''t feel anything so I opened my eyes and checked my own body, but it was fine. I looked towards where I pushed the old man and saw that the truck changed its direction at the last minute towards the place where I pushed him. I looked around and saw the old man who was run over by the truck, blood was everywhere. I turned my head around because I could not look at the man I just killed and when I turned my head, my nose touched another truck. "BOOM!" I felt a pain I have never felt before and everything turned dark. The next thing I knew, I woke up with these yellow eyes looking down on me. I opened my eyes and looked towards the yellow eyes looking at me "Am I dead?" "No, you appear to be pretty alive to me!" The deep voice said "Then, where am I?" "You are at my home!" "How did I get here?" "You appeared out of nowhere" "What are you?" "You would not believe me even if I told you. Now, get out of my house!" The deep voice said with a cold tone which made me shiver. "How do I get out?" I said in a low voice "Use the way you came from!" "Where did I come from?" "You are really helpless. Okay, this time, I will send you off, but the next time you come here, I will kill you!" The deep voice said before I felt something sharp touch my chest. ****Unknown**** The darkness was gone and I was in the middle of a forest. The light was too bright, so I covered my eyes with my hands and that''s when I realized that my hands have gotten smaller and whiter. I looked down at my body and saw that I was naked. "What is this!?" Before I could check out what happened to my body, I felt a huge amount of tiredness take over me and I could barely hold my eyes open, but it was of no use because my body started to fall asleep and I closed my eyes and went to a deep slumber on the ground I was sitting on. Ch 1 Obela! ****Whimsical Forest, Grimchill Village**** ****Vlad POV**** "Why does he have red hair?" "I don''t know!" I am hearing voices belonging to children. I feel so warm, much better than before. "Could it be that he¡¯s a beast?" "Of course not, you idiot! Grandpa said beasts don''t look like us, but he does which means he can''t be a beast!" I opened my eyes "He is waking up. GO AND GET GRANPA!" One of the two people said and the other ran away yelling "GRANPA, HE IS AWAKE!" I opened my eyes completely and looked around. I was in a room made of wood, I was sleeping in a bed next to a small window which shows the scene of a forest. I turned my head and saw an old man enter the room and both of the children went behind him. The old man told the children to leave and then turned to me "So, you¡¯re finally awake?" "Where am I?" I asked looking around. "You are in our village, Grimchill" The man said while moving closer to my bed. "How did I get here?" I said, looking at the man coming closer. "You tell me, we found you in the middle of the forest completely naked!" I thought about everything that happened and remembered everything including how I died. I pinched myself to make sure this is not a dream. "Ouch" It hurts. My lips curved up into a smile ¡®Is this my second chance?¡¯ I thought "You seem happy!" The old man broke me out of my own world and I looked towards him. "I guess I am!" I said, smiling at him. "So, what were you doing in the middle of the forest naked!" There is no way I can tell him that I came back from the dead. "I don''t remember!" I said, holding my head while putting up a confused face. "Don''t worry, I am sure it will come back to you. It seems whatever happened must have affected your mind!" The old man said patting my back. "You are right" "So, what''s your name? Can you remember that?" "Yes, I can. It¡¯s Vlad!" "That''s good, Vlad. I am sure that you will get your memories back before you know it" The man said looking at me with a smile. I smiled back at him before *GRUMBLE* My stomach started making noise. "You have been asleep for 2 days; you must be hungry. Wait here, I will get some food for you" The man said while standing up and going out of the room. I could see the head of the two boys who were here a while ago. I smiled at them and they ran away. I looked out the window and started thinking before it hit me. "Hold on a second, this is not English I am speaking!" I said with a confused expression. ¡®And that man did not speak English either!¡¯ I thought I looked around and the room. ¡®There¡¯s no room like this on earth either. They made rooms like this in the past, so how comes this room is made like this? Also, where is the light?¡¯ I thought and with every answer, I get more questions popping up in my head. ¡®Is this really Earth?¡¯ I thought The old man came back into the room holding a plate with bread on it as well as purple meat. "I have brought you some food, eat up now so you can get your strength back!" The old man said giving me the plate. I looked at it, then looked back at the old man. "What is this?" "This is meat from a rabbit" The old man said ¡®What kind of rabbit meat is purple?¡¯ I thought I took a bite of it and to my surprise, it was delicious. As a result, I started eating it until there was nothing left "You must have been hungry, huh" The old man said while laughing I wiped my mouth and put the plate down before looking at the laughing man. "Can you tell me what¡¯s this world called?" The man stopped laughing and looked at me with a surprised expression. "You don''t know!?" I shook my head helplessly and the man gave out a heavy sigh. "Then, I will tell you everything I know about this world!" The man said while clapping his hands "Thank you" I said "Okay, listen because I won''t repeat this a second time" The man said and I nodded and turned my body towards him. "Okay then, let''s start with his world. It''s called Obela and it has two continents named Edeon and Emux" The man said and my head was in chaos. ¡®This is not earth!¡¯ I thought and calmed myself down to listen to what else this old man has to say. "The Edeon continent is controlled by humans and beasts while the Emux is controlled by Devils and Undead. In the Edeon continent, there are 2 Kingdoms named Estra and Briale" "The Estra Kingdom is controlled by humans while the Briale Kingdom is under the control of beasts" "Right now, we are at the borders of a city in the Estra Kingdom named Tosa!" The old man took a break so I could absorb everything he told me. ¡®Beasts, Devils, Undead, is this some sort of game?¡¯ I thought. Everything I was told went against everything already I knew. ¡®Looks like I need to research these new species later!¡¯ I thought and took a deep breath and looked back at the man. "Please continue!" "Then, I will tell you about the system in Estra. There¡¯s the Royal family who is at the top of this kingdom. Then, there are the sects that are only second to the Royal family and after that we got the nobles and beneath them are the commoners!" The old man said and I thought about how in the old times of earth, only with power could you earn respect. "How do people move up in ranks?" I asked the man "There are two ways. One is to join a sect and show your power or have a lot of money and become a noble" The man said and I thought about it. ¡®If I earn money, I will only become a noble who is third in the ladder and If I join a sect and become powerful I will get more influential, I will go with the sect¡¯ I thought and looked at the man "How does one join a sect?" "You have to break into the Mortal rank!" "Mortal Rank?" "Yes, when a person surpasses the human limits, he will be able to enter the Mortal rank" The man said smiling. "How many ranks are there?" "There are the Mortal Rank, the King rank, the Emperor rank and the Immortal rank!" The man said and I thought for a while. "What¡¯s the difference between them?" "Well, once you enter the Mortal rank, you will be able to live for 200 years!" The man said and my eyes lit up. "What about the King rank?" "There is no reason to know" The man said and I started to frown. "Why?" "Because only about 1 in 80 million people can reach the King rank in their lifetime. That¡¯s how hard it is!" The old man said while shaking his head. "Well, can''t you just tell me?" The old man looked at me before letting out a sigh "Once you enter the King rank, you will be able to move so fast that no one below your rank can see you. Destroying huge rocks with your fist will be very easy for you. Also, you will gain another 600 years of lifespan!" Listening to this made me swallow my own saliva *Gulp* "Then, what about the Emperor rank?" "After you enter the Emperor rank, you can kill an enemy from 500 meters away with a flying sword and you will gain another 1000 years of life as well as huge power. I have only heard about it in legends and it''s a rumor that every teacher in huge sects are in the Emperor rank which is why many people want to join a sect to learn under them!" The old man said while his eyes were glittering. ¡®What kind of world is this?¡¯ I thought and I could feel my own blood boil with excitement. In my past, I was someone who wanted to surpass the human limits. So, learning that this place would allow me to do that made my blood boil and heart beat race. I calmed myself down and looked at the old man again. "What about the Immortal rank?" "I don''t know about it because I have only heard about them in legends, but it is said that once you join the Immortal rank, you will able to do whatever you want while making every king or sect fearful of you. And the best thing is that you will stop aging for good and become a true Immortal!" The old man said with envy in his eyes. ¡®This world is amazing! Immortality was only a fantasy on earth. If it can be done here, think about the amount of things that I can do?¡¯ I thought with a huge grin on my face. Ch 2 Departure! ****Whimsical Forest, Grimchill Village**** ****Vlad POV**** It''s been few days since I got to this village. I got to meet so many people and learn a lot from them even though they don''t know much themselves. They told me that this language I am currently speaking is called Epiya and it''s the only language spoken throughout the world. There seem to be 4 races in this world: Humans, Beasts, Devils and Undead. Each race has its own traits, but I need more Information on that subject If I want to travel in this world. This village seems to be very poor. They do not have much in the way of information, but they get along despite how hard it is to live here. The worst part, though, is that there are no computers! What kind of world doesn''t have computers!? I can''t do my research without my equipment. It is these kinds of moments when you wish you knew how to build the stuff we used in our everyday life. The old man who brought me here seems to be the chief of the village. His name is Jake. It is odd since that is an English name, but here, it is an Epiya(n) name. The grammar and syntax of this language gives me a splitting headache. How do I even know it in the first place? There are a lot of things I need to find out about which is why it''s so interesting. As a researcher, I love to explore new things and find out about everything I can, that''s what I enjoy the most. In the past few days, what freaked me out was that my short black hair turned red completely and my eyes were yellow with human pupils and I looked like a 15-year-old again. After I saw myself, I couldn''t wonder but remember that strange creature I met in the darkness. "Vlad!" I turned around to see a white-haired old man walking up towards me with a strange scroll in his hand. I looked at him with a confused expression "Chief Jake, is there something wrong?" He got in front of me and said. "Do you have to leave? Can''t you wait until you get your memories back?" "I also want to stay, but I doubt that I will get my memories back here. Also, I want to know more about this world!" I said and he gave out a sigh. The old man stretched out his hand with the scroll "Fine, then at least take this with you " I took the scroll and looked at him "What is this?" "This is something I found in the forest when I found you. Maybe it can help you remember something!" I looked at the scroll. It had a dragon mark on its seal and looked like the scrolls that the Chinese people used back in the day. I put the scroll inside my rigid gray robe and looked towards the old man "Thank you for everything you have done" "I should be thanking you. It has been so hard living out here, but thanks to your strange machine, we can now live a lot easier than before!" The man said while bowing. The man said and turned around towards the village. I also turned around towards the direction where the city named Tosa is at and started to walk forward. ................................................................................................................................. ****Whimsical Forest**** ****Vlad POV**** I have been walking for 3 hours and I haven''t met anyone so far, this is really irritating. "CLANG!" "CLANG!" "ROAR!" I turned to my left to see where those noises were coming from and I ran towards it to check. I hid behind a tree and looked at the scene There were 4 people who all looked about 15-20 fighting against a huge lion who had red fur and black eyes. It had wounds all over and was about die. "BOOM!" The girl in the group shot an arrow towards the lion and hit it in the head, splitting it apart. "Bang!" The lion fell on the ground with its head open and blood everywhere. To my surprise, I didn''t feel anything. Before once I saw blood, I would feel dizzy, but right now, I don''t feel anything at all. I walked towards the 4 people who instantly pointed their weapons towards me. I put my hands up "I am not here to fight; I am simply lost!" I said which made them look towards me. After they looked at me, they noticed my red hair and yellow eyes which made them look at me suspiciously. "Who are you?" the man in the white robe with black hair asked while pointing his sword towards me. "My name is Vlad and I am just lost. I wanted to ask for the directions to go to Tosa?" "Why is your hair red and eyes yellow?" The girl with a bow and arrow asked "I was born like this" I replied looking towards her. "He doesn''t have a weapon and he¡¯s not even in the mortal rank yet. There is no way for him to hurt us" The black robed youth with the white hair said towards the white-robed youth. They all put away their weapons and I lower my hands while letting loose a sigh of relief. Ch 3 Tosa! ****Whimsical Forest**** ****Vlad POV**** I looked towards the 4 people in front of me "Can you tell me the direction towards Tosa?" The black-robed youth looked at me with a shocked expression "You don''t have any weapons and yet you want to go through this forest!? Are you not afraid of death!?" I looked towards him and said. "What''s there to be afraid of; If I die, then I die, and if I live, I live. So, can you tell me the direction towards Tosa?" The white-robed youth looked towards me "You do understand that in this forest monsters are everywhere and you won''t have a chance to leave here without a scratch if not death, you know?" I started to frown "Listen, I have been in this forest for 3 hours already and I haven''t met any monster except for that!" I pointed at the dead lion. "That''s impossible. With your level and your items, you will definitely die in this forest in just 10 minutes let alone for 3 hours" The girl said and the rest agreed with her. "Why don''t you follow us? we were just on our way back anyway" The black-robed youth said with a smile. "Young master, you can''t be serious, right!? He will just slow us down!" The white-robed yelled in panic The black-robed youth looked towards the white-robed youth "Well, I don''t think that will happen" The white-robed youth looked towards my direction "So, what is your answer? Will you join us?" "As long as you can get me to Tosa, I am fine!" I said with a smile which made the 3 people with the black-robed youth look at me with disdain. "Good, let''s go before it gets dark" The black-robed took the lead and we followed. 1 hour passed! 2 hours passed! 3 hours passed! 4 hours passed! We haven''t met a single monster on the way which made the group shocked. Looking at their expressions made me certain of my theory. After knowing that this forest is the home to so many monsters, I knew it was not right for me not to meet any of them, which means that something about me is making the other monsters stay away. Of course, I was not sure, but now that I look at their shocked faces, I know that it is true. Question: What is making the monsters stay away from me? The only thing that''s different about me is that I have red hair and yellow eyes which no one else has. That means that my body is different from normal humans. Now that I think about it, ever since I came here, my personality changed. Unlike the me from my previous world who would faint at the sight of blood, I don''t feel anything when I look at blood anymore, even worse I feel like it''s normal. I am also not scared despite the fact that I know I am in a world far more dangerous than my previous one. ¡®Looks like this world messed up with my mentality when I came here¡¯ I thought "How come we haven''t met any monster for so long!? This is unbelievable! Something must be wrong!" The white-robed youth said which made all of us look at him. I started laughing which made the white-robed youth frown "What are you laughing at?" The black-robed youth said while pointing towards the huge metallic gate which had 2 bare-chested guards on each side of it. Looking at the people who had cold gazes, they were about 2m tall and had muscular bodies with huge swords on their backs which were about 1m long. They stood there like statues. We moved towards the gate and stopped in front of it and the guards moved "Young master!" They both said in union looking towards the black-robed youth who nodded. "Open the gate!" One of the guards yelled and the huge gate opened and we entered. The houses here reminded me of how houses looked like in the 1600 China. I looked towards the black-robed youth who asked. "Are you offering?" I said with a smile and he started laughing while the other got red due to their anger. "If you are willing, you can stay at my house. We¡¯ve got too many rooms; Might as well let you stay at one of them!" "But, young master!" The girl said looking towards the black-robed youth. "No buts. I said he can stay, so he can!" The black-robed youth said which made the girl go silent. "Let''s go!" The black-robed youth said and led us through the masses and we came in front of a house with a gate and walls surrounding it. They resemble the Chinese homes too much!¡¯ I thought "Young master is here, open the gate!" We heard the yell of someone and the gate opened. Four women came out with similar clothes with their heads down "Welcome back, young master!" The black-robed youth pointed at me. "Take him and prepare one of guest rooms for him!" He said and the women looked at me with confused expressions before they got back to reality "Yes, young master!" They escorted me to a room which had a bed. This surprised me because I thought they would also have the same beds that the Chinese used. Ch 4 Idea! ****Estra, Tosa, Dyer Castle**** ****Vlad POV**** *Knock* *Knock* "Come in!" 2 of the four women came into the room and bowed slightly. "The bath has been prepared, please follow us" "Okay" I followed them out of the room. We went through a corridor with walls made out of wood and floor made out of wood as well. They both had strange markings on them which went until the end of the corridor where there was a door with steam coming from it. The women opened the door "Please enter" I went inside of the room and saw that there was a wooden bathtub filled with water. I couldn''t remember how long it has been since I took a bath so I closed the door then I took off my clothes and entered it. After I finished my bath, I got out and dried myself with a white towel and put it around my waist *Knock* *Knock* "Come in!" 2 of the women who brought me to this room came in while holding a set of white robes and white shoes [This is how the robes look like http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/wt4AAOSwBahVebk-/s-l300.jpg] "What is it?" "Please change into these" The women handed me the robe and shoes before leaving the room. I put on the robe and shoes, it surprisingly fit me. Looking at my own body, I couldn''t help but smile in delight. I went towards my old robe and took out the scroll and put it inside my new one. I opened the door and walked outside of the bathroom where I was greeted by the women who brought me here. Both women had faces of astonishment looking at me. You could also hear few *gasp*s escape their lips. ¡®I know how you feel because I would also fall for my looks¡¯ I thought and my lips curved upwards They both came back to reality and led me towards my room. Inside of my room, I went towards the bed and was about to lay down. *Knock* *Knock* "Can I come in?" I heard the voice of that black-robed youth. "Come in!" I turned around towards the door and saw the youth who entered. He also wore the same white robe as me. He looked at me and showed a surprised face. "If you were a girl, I would have married you" the youth said, laughing. "Like hell you would!" I said which made him look at me surprised before starting to laughing again. He moved towards where the table and chairs were "Why don''t we sit down?" I followed him and sat down opposite of him. "Let me introduce myself. I am Aaron Dyer, nice to meet you." "I am named Vlad Walker" I said which made him look at me with a complex expression before turning back to normal. "Why is your hair red and eyes yellow?" "Why is your hair white and eyes brown?" He became silent. "Exactly!" I said with a smile. "My turn, now. Why did you let a stranger come to your house?" This book''s true home is on another platform. "Let''s see what you are" I opened the scroll, but it was blank ¡®What is this?¡¯ I thought before the scroll started to glow and blind my eyes. I let it go and held my hands over my eyes which started to cry "What the fuck was that!?" I said and opened my eyes. Gone! The scroll was gone. I checked under me and the bed as well as the sides, but I could not find the scroll anywhere. "Who took it?" I said as I frowned "Hello, kid" I heard a voice inside my head "Who is it?" "I am the spirit of the scroll you opened" It voiced I looked around the room and saw that there was no one there "The scroll? Where are you?" "I am inside of your Dantian" "My Dantian?" "Yes, the cave in your Dantian!" "How do I get to my Dantian?" "Are you telling me you don''t know how!?" "Should I know?" "How the hell did you open me if you don''t even know that!?" "Well, I opened you like any other scroll" "Forget it. Sit cross-legged and close your eyes" I went to my bed and sat on top of it cross-legged and closed my eyes "What now?" "Calm yourself down and try to find your meridians by thinking of veins" I did as it told me and thought about long red veins and then I saw 4 long veins in front of me. This is the first time I have seen this before. "What do you see?" "I see 4 long veins" "How do the veins look like?" "One of them is in the shape of a sword. The other 3 are in the shape of a long line with red, black, white and blue colors" "Quickly, enter the sword-shaped vein!" I heard both impatience and excitement in its tone. I entered the sword-shaped vein and my body started to hurt like hell. I gritted my teeth and waited for the pain to leave. After what seemed like forever, the pain stopped and I arrived in front of another 12 sword-shaped veins "How many veins do you see?" I heard the voice again. "I see 12 veins" "Good. Now, try to enter one of them and follow the road it is going" "Will it hurt again?" As the money from the life insurance, it might look like a small amount of money, but it''s definitely not a small one. In this world, the currency goes like this: 1 Gold > 100 Silver > 1000 Copper. That means that I have 100,000 copper in my hands now. In this city, most people use copper to buy anything. You only see nobles have gold which makes me a rank 8 noble. Yep, that''s right, I am noble. Nobles are classified into different ranks due to the amount of money they have. It''s from 1-10 with 1 being the highest rank. In the contract, I made a deal that they would pay me 1000 gold per 4 months at the first 2 years then increase it afterward since I need a lot of money for cultivation pills, healing herbs, spiritual stones, weapons, ores, etc. From what Dyton told me, weapons are classified into 5 different categories starting with Mortal Weapons > King Weapons > Emperor Weapons > Immortal Weapons and each rank have 3 stages. Low, Middle, High. The same goes for armor and other items. We then have the material the items are made from. They are also ranked from Mortal Ore > King Ore > Emperor Ore > Immortal Ore and a person can only craft the item when he is at the same rank as the ore or else, it won''t work at all. Right now, I am in a small shop called ''The Heavy Trade Post''. It''s an armory shop that sells weapons and armor. I took the sword with me and went to the counter where an old man was sitting reading a paper. He put down the paper and looked at me. "Did you find what you were looking for?" I left the shop and as I closed the door I heard "My job is done!" from the old man. Ever since I stepped into the Mortal rank, my senses became much stronger. I didn''t care about his words so I just went back towards the castle. As I was walking down the street where the castle was, a carriage went past me. The wind blew off the pink sheet and you could see the inside. My eyes widened and lit up when I looked at the girl inside of the carriage. She had long silver hair which reminded me of the moon and deep blue eyes which dazzled when the light that hit them. She was wearing a long white dress and was about 168 cm tall. Her tits were a grand F-size. My heart started to run like a horse. *Thump* *Thump* The time around us stopped and it felt like eternity before the carriage went past us. *Whoosh* I looked at the back of the carriage and held my hand to my chest while smiling. I didn¡¯t know if it was because of Dyton''s lack of curiosity or the fact that this world really holds many secrets. I have been really open minded for a while now and I must say that there are a lot of things that don''t make sense. Hell, this world goes against everything I¡¯ve ever believed. But, if you think about it, if earth had magic and all this cultivation stuff, won''t it turn into a world like this? The only problem that has been on my mind ever since I came to this world is that I just came out of nowhere. I don''t believe that I didn''t have any parents in this world despite the fact that I know that this body is not really mine. I believe that this body belonged to someone who died and after their soul left their body, I just hijacked it somehow. That''s the only explanation I can come up with right now. He returned to his normal self "Do what you want" he shook his head. "So, did you get anything? We¡¯re leaving now" "Wait, right now?" "Yes, we had a change of plans because of Noa''s arrival so we have to leave early" "Then, what about my stuff?" "You don''t have anything and besides, you can get clothes at the Capital" He said as he moved towards a carriage. We both went in a second carriage and sat down. The carriage was being pulled by a brown horse all by itself. These horses are a lot stronger than the ones at earth. I looked at Aaron who was sitting in front of me. "How long do we have to wait until we reach the Capital?" "The trip will take about 1 month. The distance from Tosa to the Capital is really great" I nodded and sat back. [Somewhere in Tosa] There was a white & black haired old man with a gray beard standing on top of a building looking into the distance as if he could see through everything. His gaze alone made the air tremble. "Is he it?" Another old man was standing next to this one, but unlike the other old man, this one had white hair and beard and was about 160 cm tall with his back slightly bent. He looked at the old man. "He is the one who took the sword. The principle told us that someone will come for the Sword and that person would be the one who will make our sect glorious once more" the old man said and he vanished from where he was standing. This city is extremely big. For me, this city is like a country rather than a city, and this is supposed to be the smallest city in this kingdom. Dyton told me it''s because humans are so many in number that they can stand against the other races in equal footing, but when it comes to how many experts humans have and how many the other races have, the humans would come last. What surprised me the most is how much my body is changing. My senses are becoming even stronger and my skin is becoming even harder than it was 2 months ago. My muscles also became a lot stronger. I looked at the distance and saw over 40 people dressed in black clothing move towards our direction with black horses. "How can we be so unlucky to run into bandits here" I heard Aaron''s voice and I looked at him. His eyes were filled with despair and he was clenching his fists while his legs were trembling. "Are you afraid of these bandits?" He looked at me and put on a helpless smile. "Don''t worry, I will take care of them. You just make sure not to get in my way!" I said and took out my bastard sword. [That''s the name of my new sword] The bandits came in front of us and stopped their horses. I walked to the front next to Noe''s carriage. I looked at the hooded figures in front of me. "Hand over all your valuables or die!" the bandit leader yelled. "I think you got it wrong. It is you who shall give me everything on you or die!" The man was startled and I jumped up and swung my sword down at him. *BANG* My sword shattered his weapon and the man fell off his horse. I thrust my sword towards him before he could overcome his shock. When he saw the sword coming towards him, his eyes widened. *Pu* It went right through his heart and his eyes showed both disbelief and regret. "2!" All the bandits looked at each other with disbelief. This was their second commander! The leader and Bandit 3 both looked at me with anger. "Kill him first!" the leader yelled and they all charged at me. ''Looks like they are morons as well'' ''You were going to kill them even if they gave you everything on them'' Dayton said. ''Looks like you know me after all'' The leader was the first to charge at me and swung his sword down. I dodged it by rolling down and I jumped up and thrust my sword towards the first bandit I could find. *Pu* I slit his throat. I dodged the sword from the leader who came after me. I jumped on another bandit and slit his throat as well. The leader became even angrier than he already was "Stop him!" I moved swiftly and killed over 30 bandits by slitting their throats while the leader only ran after me and watched how his men were getting slaughtered. I looked back at the leader and put on a huge grin on my face "You coward! Come here and fight me if you have the strength!" "Come here and fight me if you have the speed!" I said and turned my head around. I saw an incoming sword; it was aimed to behead me. I lowered my head and dodged the sword. I rolled on the ground and looked at the person who did it, it was Bandit 2. I rushed towards the right and jumped on another bandit and killed him before I looked at the direction where Bandit 2 was. I fused the sword energy with my sword and threw it at him. *Whoosh* The sword moved at a speed that made the air shake. *Pu* The sword went right through his heart. Watching this, the leader started to shed tears as his eyes went bloodshot red. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The leader started to move a lot faster than he was before and caught up to me as he thrust his sword at me. The sword moved in a straight line towards my head. I moved my head to the left and stuck my hand out and grabbed the leader¡¯s arms and pulled my body down while putting my foot on his stomach before throwing him up in the air. I grabbed a sword that belonged to the bandit I killed and filled it with sword energy and threw it at him who was now in mid-air. *Pu* The sword penetrated his chest. Ch 13 Allan! The bandits didn''t dare to move because they were afraid to lose their lives like their comrades. On the other side, you could see the shocked faces of the guards and Aaron as they couldn''t make out what happened. Since they were all at the mortal rank, they could only follow the movements made by the youth, but when he threw the sword at the bandit, the sword seemed invisible to their eyes. Even the silver haired young lady didn''t know what to think as she watched this scene unfold after she got out of the carriage. It was as if the entire world fell into a deep silence. ****Vlad POV**** ''FUCK ME IN THE ASS!!'' I yelled in my head. ''Calm down!¡¯ Dyton said. ''What do you mean calm down!? I watched as another bandit aimed to behead the youth. Just as the youth turned around and saw the sword coming at him, he lowered his head and rolled on the ground and slit the throat of another bandit before looking back at the one who almost behead him. This place was not on a mountain or anything but on a solid ground, There were 100 buildings and each one was huge enough for over 500 people to live in. "Come!" The old man said and we followed him We saw a lot of old people here, some who couldn''t enter the king rank and who has grown old or young people who were trying to enter it. We made out way towards a huge building, this building had a dragon sign hanging over it, "This is the building where you are going to get all your techniques as well as the keys to your room, just give the emblem you have to the lady at the desk up front and say you''re new and want your keys" The old man said before leaving. I took a deep breath and went in. The inside was more astonishing than how it looked outside, it was completely different, there were many people in here walking around. I walked towards the front desk after spotting it, as I walked around no one paid attention to me at all so I made my way over to the desk without anyone noticing. I stood in front of the desk looking at the old lady who was sitting there reading something, she stopped reading and looked at me "What is it?" To learn this you need to first be at the fourth stage of the mortal rank, and to learn the ''Sidestep Sprint'' you need to be at the ninth stage of the mortal rank. ''Are you kidding me? Several crystal growths sit atop its head, just above its small, angular ears. A row of small crystal growths runs down the sides of each of its jaw lines. Its nose is long and has two thick, angular nostrils and there''s a small horn on its chin. Rows of sharp teeth poke out from the side of its mouth and give a slight hint at the terror hiding inside. A lean neck runs down from its head and into a narrow body. The top is covered in curved scales and rows of small crystal growths runs down its spine. Its bottom is covered in massive scales and is colored slightly darker than the rest of its body. Four long limbs carry its body and allow the creature to stand sturdy and poised. Each limb has 4 digits, each of which end in spiny claws seemingly made of crystal. Monstrous wings grow starting from its shoulders and end just passed its shoulder blades. The wings are somewhat triangular, the inside is almost entirely see-through, especially when viewed from a distance and curved talons grow from each ending like giant scythes. Its graceful tail ends in a gentle point and is covered in the same curved scales as its body. ~Vlad PoV~ I open my eyes and everything changed, the way I saw the world was very colourful, despite the darkness in the room I could see everything, I felt something move on my back so I turned my head around and surprisingly I could turn my head around to the point I saw my own back. I swear Saria is so much better, she only talks when there is something important to talk about, but Dyton is acting like he is way above me, this asshole let¡¯s see if I don¡¯t throw him to the bottom of the ocean one day. I swallowed my own anger and closed my eyes once more thinking about how my human body looked like. slowly the scales that covered my body turned into the skin, while my horns went back to where they came from. My lips curved upwards into a smile. The only problem was that I could now feel just how much sword energy I could use before I would become drained. It looks like all the sword energy I have gotten since I started to cultivate was used to break through the ranks, while only 10% of it was stored in my dantian. The energy I have been using in fights is the energy in my dantian so there is still a limit on how much of it I can use, I have to use it only when it¡¯s necessary. Looks like it¡¯s time for me to get King rank techniques, I still feel that it was useless for me to learn all of that without using them. This place has really surprised me with how much the people here only care about raising their own strength, there hasn¡¯t been one fight since I came here not one! Thinking about it now it seems understandable, the people here are all almost out of time, how long they can live is determined by their rank and since most of them are really old they, of course, want to enter the king rank so they can live longer, their fight is against time. But only raising their ranks won¡¯t be of help to them either, they need to fight to make sure their strength is in the best condition, also to check out their new techniques. When I first came here, before I learned any techniques I was challenged by 10 people who were all at the ninth stage of the mortal rank, they all wanted to test their new techniques out on me. After giving them a crushing defeat they never bothered me again, and not only them but no one challenged me either, I wanted to find a fight so badly for a while, so I am excited now that I am in the king rank, with the amount of power I have now, I can take on people who are 4 levels higher than me. They¡¯re carnivores and their beaks and rough tongue are ideal for eating smaller creatures. They have gorgeous eyes, and their sight is known to be the best among all the birds in the world. They have wide beaks and pretty much no visible ears. Their heads are fairly small in comparison to their bodies. They make sounds ranging from extremely high pitched to low pitched and have a small range of sounds they make to indicate discoveries, dangers and otherwise communicate with each other. These creatures are very calm and they¡¯re not territorial at all. They mate once every 18 months and they mate with a select group of partners for life. The lower mortal energy is used by those at the Mortal rank and those at the King rank. The middle mortal energy is used by those at the Emperor rank. We sat down and the woman looked at us for a while "Here is the menu, you can choose what you want to eat and call me when you are ready to order." She said before she left the room and closed the door. "I am so hungry." I Cried as I looked at the menu in front of me, small tears could be seen in my eyes and Floyd was not different, this was the first time we would eat after so long. "We are ready to order!" I Shouted and the woman came into the room "What do you want to have?" She said and I gave the menu back to her "We want a triple of everything on the menu." I said to the woman and she was shocked. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The women screamed in fear as they saw the blood and they ran away. "W-w-who!" The man said as he coughed out blood. "Your maker." A redhead youth with black robes entered the room. ~Whoosh! Another sword was released and aimed towards the man. His face paled ''Am I really going to die now?'' He thought before the sword penetrated his throat. ~Vlad PoV~ I walked towards the man and took off the ring on his finger and looked at it ''Is this a spectral ring?'' I asked Dyton and he agreed. ''Sign it with your sword energy.'' Dyton said and I did it and I was stunned as I felt the 100-meter space in the ring, it was really very big. I looked around saw a number of weapons and money laying around the place. ''Omg that is an Emperor ore!'' Dyton yelled in my head and I was startled. ''An Emperor ore?'' ''Yes, remember what I told you about the ores?'' ''That you had to be at the Emperor rank to melt the Emperor ore?'' ''That''s right, I don''t know how these weaklings got this ore but you have hit jackpot, with this ore we can make an Emperor ranked sword.'' Dyton said and I also smiled. According to Floyd the highest power after the Royal Clan is the Nobility in the kingdom. The ranks in nobility are as follows, Duke > Marquess > Earl > Viscount and with Baron being the lowest rank. Each title will become the lord of an area for example if you have the title of a Duke you will be able to govern an entire country, while the Baron can only be a noble in a small town. But in order to become a Duke, you will need to be an Immortal Beast while you need to only pay 20k gold in order to become a Baron. 3 titles can be bought with gold Earl, Viscount, and Baron while you need to have a personal strength for the other two titles. Right now since we both are at the Emperor rank we can get the title of a Marquess which will allow us to become City lords, there is no point in becoming the lords of two different cities so we decided to share one. Of course, since there are two of us the city will be larger than average with more km and people. Our goal, for now, is to find a blacksmith that can help us with melting these ore''s and making them into weapons and armor while also training our skills. Not to mention I haven''t even touched Saria''s skill book, I wonder what kind of skill it is. "So where do we need to go?" I asked Floyd. Clear sky. Edeon ,Briale Kingdom, Yellow County, within the Azura City. An sixteen or seventeen old boy with long red hair dressed in exquisitely tailored red robe. He was currently standing on top of a cliff. His golden eyes were gazing towards the Azura city that was below him. His eyes were very calm and steady, the sun was hitting his face flashing his white pale skin. He let out a deep sigh and took out a blade. A short, slim, curved blade made of titanium is held by a grip wrapped in ordinary, white crocodile leather. The razor-sharp point makes this weapon the best choice if you want to pierce, prick, puncture and perforate your enemies. The blade has a jagged, curled cross-guard, offering plenty of protection to the owner''s hands and thus his or her life. The crossguard has a jeweled snake head on each side, a unique design for a unique weapon. A wide pommel is engraved with the sword maker''s symbol, a symbol one can be proud of. The blade itself is simple. No markings can be found, but the blade will surely be decorated in battle. The young man started to move his blade and started to thrust. With each thrust, the young let out an shh sound. ~Swish! ~Swish! ~Swish! With every thrust the young man made a slight boom could be heard from the air around the sword. The young man kept on thrusting his blade faster and faster. Every time the blade moved faster the boom sound got louder and louder. Suddenly after thrusting for the 1000th time one shadow after another appeared creating a series of shadows that made the air itself to tremble and vibrate. ~Swish! ~Swish! ~Swish! With every thrust that the young made now over 10 shadows followed creating a series of booms. The young man didn''t stop and moved his blade faster and faster, everything before the young man started to turn black due to the shadows that were left behind when the young man retracted his blade to thrust forward again. The young man continued thrusting. 2,000 times. 4,000 times. 8,000 times. 20,000 times. At this point, a small sweat could be seen on the young man''s forehead but he didn''t look tired at all so he kept on thrusting his blade over and over again. The Azura city was built amidst the dry grasses of a simple savanna and is truly a gorgeous marvel. Its uniqueness is matched by the backdrop of an abundance of hills which have helped shape the city to what it is today. The materials these hills brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built with many round shapes and wide sizes, similar to the fields around them. The skyline is crowded with giant skyscrapers and there is no place on Obela with anything like this. Trade is at an all time high in Azura city and it has attracted a lot of attention. Many different cultures have left their mark not just on the city''s history, but also of the city''s identity. What historically was a city of little contrast has grown into a multicultural hub. The population of the city was no more than 100,000 in numbers so compared to how large the city was they had a lot of space. I stopped moving once I appeared over a castle in the middle of the city. Nine thin, square towers piercing the sky are the first you''ll see of this castle and are connected by big, wide walls made of dark gray stone. Elegant windows are scattered generously across the walls in a seemingly random pattern, along with small holes for archers and artillery. A vast gate with enormous metal doors, a regular bridge, and hot oil pots give a safe place to rest in this forest stronghold and it''s the only way in, at least without taking down the castle walls. Inside the castle there was grass and flowers decorated around the place, it looked very peaceful. There were humanoid creatures walking around the place. The moment the humanoid creatures saw me landing on the ground they all bowed and said: "Lord." In unison and I nodded making my way inside the castle. As I made my way inside the castle I was met with more and more humanoid creatures, some of them were of the same race while the other were not, they all bowed and greeted me and I nodded back. After walking for a while I came to the door that leads to the City lord''s room. I pushed the wooden doors and went inside the room. A huge table was in the middle of the room and in the main seat sat a young man. He looked to be about 25-27 years old, his looks were above average and he was tall with a height of 205cm, he had on a robe which was similar to the one I had on, he had short black hair with brown eyes. This young male was precisely the lord of a territory encompassing over 100 square kilometers: Marquess Floyd!
