《The OverGod》 Prologue - Gods Blood Prologue: God¡¯s Blood In a white room a little boy was tied on a metal chair, he had silk black hair that almost touched the ground, his intelligent black eyes looking around analyzing every centimeter of the room, and finally focusing on the three figures wearing white lab coats standing in front of him, a blond haired man, a dark haired man and a fat old woman with a deep scar in her left eye. ¡°Test subject number 7¡­ I am really surprised you survived through all the 776 trials¡± ¨C Old Woman The little boy indifferently looked at the old woman; his eyes held no emotion as if he was a living corpse without a soul, the old woman took out a long needle with a small container filled with a Black liquid ¡°Now this is your last trial... I will enjoy every moment¡± ¨C Old Woman The old woman maliciously smiled, her eyes held profound hatred while looking at the boy; she unconsciously touched her left eye, after moments of reminiscence the woman walked towards the boy. ¡°Dr.Michael, Dr. Syens¡­Please hold the test subject¡± ¨C Old woman ¡°As you wish¡­Dr. Rivera¡± ¨C 2 man The two men took out a remote control from their pockets and pressed some buttons, seconds later the little boy was wrapped by hundreds of iron chains that constrained his every movements. ¡°Good¡­Now my little test subject, we are going to start the last trial, we will shot you with our newest technology, we call it¡­God¡¯s Blood. We had experimented in the others subjects but unfortunately they didn¡¯t survive, they couldn¡¯t withstand the pain¡­ You can right, my sweet little 7?¡±- Dr. Rivera The boy¡¯s eyes indifferent as ever looked at River¡¯s eyes, and a cold chill ran through her spin. Getting behind the boy, the woman positioned the needle on the nape of the boy and grinned, the needle sank in his flesh and the black liquid was injected in his bloodstream. When the Black liquid entered in his bloodstream, it started to spread through his body, invading every corner and every cell of his body, everywhere it went pain followed, the boy¡¯s face contorted, but he kept his mouth shut much to the displeasure of the old woman, who wanted to see the boy scream¡­wishing to die. The pain was getting stronger and stronger, inside the body of the boy; changes were happening every moment, every second. His body was being remodeled from head to toe, his organs shattered and healed, his hair fell and grew, his Black eyes turned blue like the clear sky, cracks appeared in his skin and it started falling, reveling a milk-white skin, but during this process the pain was unimaginable, after some minutes the process was finally over, the boy couldn¡¯t endure any longer and passed out Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Dr. Rivera looked at the unconscious boy and checked for vital signs, feeling a weak pulse she commanded the two other doctors to take the boy to his cell, clearly disappointed the woman sighed -----------------------x-------------------- *(Number 7) POV* ¡°Damn my body hurts¡± After some minutes of pain I looked around, confirming that I was lying in my cell after spotting the metal door and the white walls that confuse your sense of time and space, the room was full of cameras following every movement in the room, there was no bed just the cold floor. ¡®This room again¡­I am really tired of this and those trials. When can I leave?¡¯ I thought Feeling sore all over, I closed my eyes trying to analyze the injures that I suffered during the experiment, an image of a body filled with red dots appeared in my mind, the internal organs were badly injured and bleeding, but they were healing faster than I remember. Trying to discover why my injures were healing faster, I focused all my attention in one organ and discovered that an unknown particle was entering my body and helping me heal faster than before, every time it entered my body this particle was making my body stronger ¡®Interesting¡­this particle is extraordinary, let¡¯s see if I can suck more of these particles inside my body¡¯ With eyes closed I tried to feel the particles on in the air, these particles were floating, there were blue and red particles coiling around each other and pulsing, like inseparable lovers, focusing in these particles I tried to suck them faster but to no avail, they didn¡¯t even move. After hours attempting to suck the particles I gave up, deducing that I needed experience or something to help me guide these particles inside my body. Anyway unconsciously I am sucking them; it won¡¯t take long till I learn how to do it. Everything has its own course¡­whatever I need to rest I am too tired to continue, closing my eyes I let the darkness embrace me and fall in the dreams world. Chapter 1 – Twelve Lords and Increasing Chapter 1 ¨C Twelve Lords and Increasing In a dark empty room Dr. Rivera sat alone surrounded by twelve lit screens. She nervously glanced up at each monitor which displayed twelve dark hooded figures resembling the Grim Reaper. ¡°Dr. Rivera, What are the results of the experiment? Did it work?¡± A cold and merciless voice resonated through the dark room, making Dr. Rivera¡¯s body jump from fright, recovering her composure almost immediately she got up and took numerous paper sheets, after a short look she opened her mouth. ¡°Apologies Seventh Lord, we couldn¡¯t confirm it yet¡­We need that the Test Subject recovers consciousness so that we could run some tests to confirm our hypotheses and check if the God¡¯s Blood fused completely¡± ¨C Dr. Rivera A lengthy silence took over the room; the dark hooded figures seemed to be thinking about something, suddenly a toneless voice sounded through the room, scaring Dr. Rivera who was concentrated with the paper in hand ¡°Dr. Rivera¡­We are losing our confidence in you, it has been twelve years since you started this experiment, we are giving you one more year¡­if you can¡¯t complete it we will find someone who can¡± Dr. Rivera¡¯s body trembled, cold sweat dripped from her forehead as fear assaulted her being, losing all strength, her fat body kneeled on the ground, silence spread through the room, After seconds of silence Dr. Rivera with a tremulous voice spoke ¡°As you wish¡­ First Lord¡±- Dr. Rivera After hearing the answer of Dr. Rivera all the screens disconnected, Dr. Rivera who was kneeled on the floor had sweat all over her body, clenching her teeth she stormed out of the room Passing through white hallways filled with queued metal doors, entering one of the metal doors, she came across a room filled with computers and papers attached all over the white walls, numerous white lab coats scientist were sitting in front of the computers, others were analyzing the papers glued on the wall, Seeing all the scientists Dr. Rivera screamed ¡°WE HAVE ONE YEAR TO SHOW RESULTS, IF WE DON¡¯T WE WILL BE WIPED OUT¡± The scientist looked at Dr. Rivera, fear evident in their faces; some started to run to their computers in despair, looking at all of it, a hopeless smile appeared in Dr. Rivera mouth. Looking at a computer screen that showed a boy sleeping on the ground she asked one of the responsible for monitoring of the Test Subject ¡°Did the Test Subject recover consciousness?¡± ¨C Dr. Rivera ¡°He did wake up¡­but right after he slept again, it seems like God¡¯s Blood was too much for his body to resist¡± ¨C Guard ¡°Fuck¡­ we are going in, we need to question him, we need to know if something changed¡± ----------------x----------------- *Number 7 POV* Hearing a creaking sound I opened my eyes and looked towards the door, the fat old woman scientist entered the room followed by two other people, I think that they are Guards, there was a time these two took me to the Chair Room Trying to get up I felt the pain coursing through my body, forcing my body I trembling got up, looking at the face of that damn old woman and the scar in her eye... *tch* she got lucky that I left just a scar, I should have killed her¡­damn guards they protected her in the last moment ¡°HEH¡­Number 7 I am glad that you survived, this way we can have more fun, don¡¯t you think?¡±- Dr. Rivera I could feel the cruel intent behind her words, but who cares? I have no way out of this hell¡­ yet. I need to wait the right time; I will follow the rules for the time being ¡°Now let¡¯s go, the Chair Room await us there are SO many toys that I want to test today¡­ Let¡¯s go¡± ¨C Dr. Rivera Feeling sore all over I took one step at a time towards her, with each step it was like my flesh was being torn apart and my muscles burning, when I was getting near her she took out a black baton and swung it towards my face. After passing through several white hallways we stopped in front of a black door, the fat old woman pressed her thumb on a fingerprint reader that was in the middle of the door. ¡°Welcome Dr. Rivera¡± A strange computed voice sounded from the door and it opened automatically, after passing through the door I finally saw my worst nightmare, a metal chair in the middle of a white room, the chair had leather straps to contain the movements of arms and legs, next to the metal chair there were numerous iron chains. ¡°Tie him¡± - Dr. Rivera The two guards put me on the chair and tied me, the leather straps were quite tight, It was hurting my wrists and ankles, but I didn¡¯t protested since it was what they wanted and I wouldn¡¯t give them the pleasure, the fat woman looked at me and cruelly grinned. ¡°You two can go out¡±- Dr. Rivera The two guards saluted and exited the room, leaving alone me and the fat old woman who was grinning from ear to ear like a madman. ¡°Sweet Number 7¡­Should we begin?¡±- Dr. Rivera Seeing a hideous smile sprung in her face I got disgusted but it didn¡¯t disturb her to continue talking¡­.¡¯seriously, I should have killed her¡¯ ¡°So¡­Number 7 was there any change in your body after we injected in you God¡¯s Blood?¡± ¨C Dr. Rivera ¡®hoho¡­it seems like they need to confirm if their technology works, but they have no way to confirm without me speaking, in other words she brought me here to force me to speak, HAHAH, seriously this is going to be fun¡¯ Innocently smiling I looked at her and slowly spoke ¡°No¡­ I didn¡¯t notice anything abnormal; it¡¯s just that my body is all sore I can¡¯t even stand up¡± She looked at me with hate evident in her eyes, but I didn¡¯t fail to notice deep fear hiding inside her eyes, she anxiously looked at me, her voice getting colder and colder. ¡® HAHA¡­ Revenge is SOOO GOOD. In some trials that I participated, I had to go through torture, the first time I peed in my pants, cried and screamed, but they didn¡¯t stop they continued till I couldn¡¯t endure anymore and passed out, the next day I woke up in my room, blood was all over the floor, as if they dragged me there by my feet, the second time was the same¡­but the third time I didn¡¯t care anymore since I knew it was going to continue for a long time But looking at the Black liquid fear spread over my body, I madly writhed on the chair trying to get free but to no avail as I was too weak, and the leather straps were too tight. ¡®Damn¡¯ ¡°So if it¡¯s not working, we need to increase the amount injected¡­Right? This way you will have great quantity of God¡¯s Blood in your body¡­Increasing our prospects¡± Hideously smiling she approached me and sunk the needle in my skin, when God¡¯s Blood entered in contact with my Blood, it seemed to meld together, purifying my blood and boiling it to an unbearable temperature, burning everywhere my Blood passed. The pain was much more intense than before¡­I couldn¡¯t withstand it. Closing my eyes and letting the darkness slowly embrace me Chapter 2 - Universe Particles Hello guys... So, I didn''t have time to reread it, I was quite busy and it took me 2 hours to write this so... sorry, and please comment I love to read it. (Sorry about the grammar errors...I will try to get better.) -----------x--------- Chapter 2 ¨C Universe Particles. *Rivera¡¯s POV* It¡¯s been three weeks since we started injecting God¡¯s Blood in the Test Subject Number 7, the subject showed some changes like fast healing, and strength increase¡­ This technology was supposed to enables us to see and use the Universe Particles or UP, changing our bodies to adapt to the radiation of UP. The Universe Particles appeared 600 years ago on Earth, at first due to the radiation, people started to get sick and die, the leaders of the time thought it was a pandemic outbreak of some sort and for years they tried to contain it but the numbers of deaths increased till 60% of the human population died, in the end they had to seek shelter underground where the UP were less, and we had been here since then. Seeing the changes in Number 7, I can speculate that God¡¯s Blood really works but we can¡¯t confirm if he can see or use the UP, or even survive in an ambient with great amounts of UPs. Damn I need to find a solution fast otherwise the Lords will get angry.The Twelve Lords, some people says that they are immortals and their bodies adapted to the UPs radiation. They have been leading us since the beginning of the Apocalypse¡­ ¡®Fuck...I need to rush¡¯ Looking around at the dozens of scientists who were occupied searching for errors in God¡¯s Blood, glancing at one of the screens showing a boy sitting cross legged eyes closed in deep meditation. ¡°What is he doing?¡± ¡°He has been that way since he woke up¡± ¨C Monitoring Guard ¡®It seems like I need to research more¡¯ --------------------x----------------- *Number 7 POV* ¡®It seems like the concentration of God¡¯s Blood in my blood increased and my ability to control these particles increased too¡¯ At the moment I am sitting cross legged and trying to feel the particles in the air, after the tenth injection of God¡¯s Blood, I have been able to feel the particles more clearly and it seems like my body is absorbing more particles than before. I can feel the particles entering my muscles, my flesh, my organs, it¡¯s enhancing my body¡­even my vision and my hearing are becoming better ¡®My body is becoming stronger, I can feel It¡­It seems like God¡¯s Blood is enhancing my body to adapt to these particles.¡¯ My senses were all focusing in the hundreds of blue and red particles floating in the room; they seemed to be alive as they danced through the air coiling around each other, some of these particles were being drawn by my body, and were being absorbed at a quick pace. ¡®That fat old woman will be here shortly¡­it¡¯s better if I absorb more of these particles¡¯ The particles that my body absorbed and have no use were being kept in a little ball that was formed somewhere in my belly, I have a feeling that I can release all of these particles at once¡­but I can¡¯t try, these damn cameras are filming me, and I can¡¯t risk being discovered. After some time once again I closed my eyes and entered the state of nothingness, I discovered that when I entered this condition, the particles are attracted faster. Did you notice any change?¡±- Dr. Rivera She asked with a hideous smile plastered on her face ¡°No¡­¡± Her smile widened even more, as if this was the answer she needed. ¡°Oh¡­Is that so? Than we need to do something don¡¯t you think?¡± She said as she commanded the guards to handcuff me, the guards neared me and I just stood there motionless to smooth the process ¡°Where are we going this time? Same place?¡± ¡°No, sweet 7¡­this time we are going to a trial prepared just for you, I am sure you will like it¡± ¨C Dr. Rivera Madly laughing she exited the room with me and the guards escorting me from behind. ¡®What is the trial this time?¡¯ We have been walking though these white hallways for minutes and finally we arrived at a wide glass elevator. I walked in but strangely the other three people stayed put and didn¡¯t made any move to enter in the elevator ¡°So we stop here¡­good look Number 7, Try not to die¡±- Dr. Rivera I didn¡¯t have time to say anything the elevator started to descend, but one think I was that the old hag gave me a cold smile that I knew better than anyone¡­ this trial is going to be dangerous. The elevator finally stopped, the glass door opened and in front of me was a dark room, so dark that I couldn¡¯t even see my own hand, but I could feel that something was waiting for me in the dark, my enhanced sense was warning me that something dangerous was there and it had already set its eyes on me. ¡®*tch* I can¡¯t go back¡­damn, I¡¯ll kill all of you¡­just you wait I get out of here¡¯ Since I couldn¡¯t get out, I took a step out of the elevator and walked forward, my sense of hearing and smell fully activated, trying to sense the room. Finally I heard a growl behind me and my sense of danger screamed, jumping backwards and trying to see what attacked me, attempting moving particles to my eyes I finally could see. ¡®Lucky¡­ I made some experiments with these particles in my room and discovered that I could enhance my vision directing particles to my eyes¡¯ In front of me stood a Great Wolf, the wolf had at least four meters high, it had white fur; its icy cold blue eyes looked at me as if I was a little sheep waiting to be slaughtered, with mouth opened showing its sharp fangs and growling at me. ¡®Damn...¡¯ It was everything I could say as the Wolf jumped towards me. Chapter 3 – Jungle Law and Success Hello guys...SOOO, thank you for commenting the last chapter and after reading the comments, I was sooo motivated to write, that I ended staying all night writing and I finally finished the chapter... and thanks to those who rated, followed and put this novel in favorites... Thanks for reading ----------------x-------------------- Chapter 3 ¨C Jungle Law and Success *Number 7 POV* Facing the Great Wolf I didn¡¯t feel fear, after so many life and death battles I started to grow accustomed to the bloodlust and killing, so I didn¡¯t panic when the Wolf bounced at me just a cold feeling embracing me. Facing the White wolf that was standing a few feet away from me, I took a fight stance since I had no weapon besides my fists, seeing it the wolf dropped to the ground growling viciously taking position to jump immediately, we stood there eyeing each other till the wolf resolved to attack. Putting strength in its rear leg he leaped towards me, its claws stretched aimed onto my neck wanting to finish me in one strike, seeing its action I charged forward, when the paw was nearing me I rolled on the ground evading the attack and counterattacking with a punch in its head. ¡®haha¡­ I am stronger and faster than before, but seriously this wolf is tough, I couldn¡¯t penetrate its head.¡¯ After delivering the punch I kicked the ground backing away from the wolf that was dizzy from the punch, shaking the head the wolf seemed to recover and looked at me angrily with its icy cold eyes, I could feel the killing intent permeate the air. ¡®Oppss¡­It seems like I hurt his pride¡¯ The wolf eyes were getting blood red, his fur and ears were fully erected, it was aggressively growling and crouching down ready to pounce, after seconds of facing each other the wolf started to circle me as if trying to find any weakness, suddenly the wolf ran towards me with its mouth wide open, but this time I stayed put and waited for the wolf to get in my range of attack. When it was a few feet away It suddenly jumped and I couldn¡¯t evade, it was getting closer too fast everything I could do try to jump backwards, but the wolf was too cunning and precise it aimed at my hand and bit. Feeling the pain in my hand and looking at it inside the wolf mouth I tried to shake it off but to no avail, the wolf pulled me closer and extended its pawn towards my neck. Seeing the danger my body unconsciously moved, there was no more time to think¡­ Extending two fingers and aiming at its eyes my fingers drilled inside and blood painted my fingers, sensing the pain the wolf released my hand. Pulling back my hand I looked at the wolf, it was laying down whimpering in a corner of the room with its tail tucked between the legs. Looking at it I remembered the times when I was a kid being tortured and crying for help, to someone save me¡­but in the end no one came. ¡®He is a victim¡­like me¡¯ The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.Looking at it I felt pity¡­ but I didn¡¯t change my mind. I have to kill it; it tried to kill me so it¡¯s natural¡­it¡¯s the Jungle Law. Since young these experiments induced me to kill, I had to kill other Test Subjects like me, I had to kill guards, I had to kill animals, I had to kill soldiers. So since the beginning I learned the Jungle Law¡­ do everything to survive. I started to walk towards the blind wolf who kept whimpering, as if imploring me not to kill it¡­ but to no avail, as I got near my hands were lifting slowly and when the wolf was in my range, the hand descended like a hammer striking the wolf¡¯s skull. Feeling pain in my other hand I looked at it, a bloody sight greeted me; blood flowed thickly down my fingers, my wrist was slashed and in the back of my hand the tendons were exposed and you could see that the bones were pretty much destroyed ¡®Luckily, at least my fingers are here¡¯ Tired of all the fight, I lay down on the ground while the particles were being drawn in my body and healing my injures at an impressive pace. ¡®Damn¡­this was funny though¡¯ ---------x-------- *Dr. Rivera POV* After leaving Number 7 in the elevator we returned to the monitoring room, where we could see the battle. We had captured a Great Wolf near our installations some years ago, we had studied it for years trying to understand what enabled this animal to survive the radiation from UPs¡­ but to no avail, we didn¡¯t found anything, so the wolf lost its value, since we couldn¡¯t find nothing useful. ¡®But at least¡­the wolf has a use for us¡¯ We put the wolf to fight against the boy; I need to discover if the boy is hiding something from us. After thirty minutes the battle was finally over, and I have to say God¡¯s Blood is a success, the body of the boy enhanced at a incredibly rate¡­.he Is the perfect killing machine, and he adapted to the UPs, as a prove he had stayed in that room for thirty minutes without no special equipments or clothes, this discovery is simply amazing. ¡®We need him¡­or at least his body. We need to dissect him to see what changed and collect some blood samples¡¯ I never felt so happy in my entire life, with this discovery we can finally see the blue sky, the gold sun, the white clouds and even the real rain. ¡°Go get him¡± I said to the two guards who kept looking at the screen, their mouths wide opened, when they heard me saying it fear emerged on their face. ¡°Yes, Dr. Rivera¡­but can we take at least a gun or a weapon? Did you see what he just did? He killed the Great Wolf¡­we had to sacrifice thirteen soldiers just to capture that damn animal¡± ¨C Guard 1 Hearing their reason, I gave some thought and finally consented; the Guards saluted and exited the room, going to the armory room to take the weapons. ¡®Finally¡­.I finally succeeded¡¯ Tears were streaming down my face as I remembered the difficult days, where everything for me was the research, where they doubted me, where they judged me¡­but I finally succeeded. Chapter 4 - Escaping (1) Chapter 4 - Escaping (1) *Michael POV* ( The guard) We were ordered to bring the Test Subject back, but after seeing his strength I have to say¡­. I am really scared. He killed a Great Wolf; we had to sacrifice dozens of comrades to capture it, but he killed it alone and he only suffered small injured¡­do you know what this means? This means that he is a killing machine that can match a small army. ¡®Damn¡­and that crazy woman want us to capture him with just me and Lucas, I shouldn¡¯t have agreed to work in this godforsaken place, but now I have no choice if don¡¯t capture him, I¡¯ll be worst than dead¡¯ Walking through the hallways we finally arrived at the weapons room, putting my thumb on the fingerprint reader the titanium door opened and in front of me hundreds of weapons queued in gun cabinets appeared. After some minutes, I finally choose the M4A1 Assault Rifle, Beretta M9 and a combat knife; Lucas picked the same. ¡®These will do¡¯ ¡°How are you doing Lucas?¡± I asked Lucas but I didn¡¯t need an answer, I could see that he was all sweaty and his eyes were wide open, he stood there motionless without answering me for seconds. ¡°Yeah¡­I am fine Michael, I am just thinking that I shouldn¡¯t have accepted this damn job¡± - Lucas He weakly smiled while answering ¡°Yeah¡­I was thinking the same. Damn, if I die who will take care of my daughter? She is only six years old; she already lost her mother if I die too¡­.¡± ¡°*Tch* But if we don¡¯t obey we will die anyway¡­ the only difference is that they will kill our families¡± ¨C Lucas Sighing, as we could do nothing but obey After taking the guns, we exited the room and slowly walked towards the elevator, each step we took was heavier than the last while imagining the demon awaiting us, and in my mind I was cursing myself for accepting this job. Minutes later we finally stood facing the elevator that would send us to hell. ¡°Prepared?¡± ¡°Yep¡± - Lucas Placing my thumb on the fingerprint reader the elevator door opened, hesitating but finally stepping inside, the elevator slowly descended and all we could hear was the sound of the machinery. -----------x----------- *Number 7 POV* ¡°Finally they are coming¡± I could hear the sound of the elevator descending, getting up I stood in the middle of the room waiting to the elevator arrive. ¡®Probably they are coming to kill me¡­since I am a threat¡¯ After two minutes the elevator arrived and the doors slowly opened, two soldiers stood there, they were wearing black combat clothes with body armor over it, they were holding guns and aiming it at me, they were the two guards who took me to the elevator. ¡°HANDS UP!!! HANDS UP!!!¡± ¨C Guard 1 ¡°DON¡¯T MOVE!!!¡± ¨C Guard 2 Both of them walked out of the elevator, closing on me from the left and right sides, trying to surround me. Love this novel?
