Chapter 1 - Tana and the Changing World
In a small town in Europe.
In the town a 18-19 year old looking teenager was going home from school. He looked like a plain teenager. There are no interesting or unique features to his appearance. His hair is dark brown in color and his eyes are brown as well. He is about 1.75 meteres tall,which is the average height for teenagers in his town.
If you look closely you can see that he has something in his hand. It is a cellphone,he''s playing games on his cellphone and walking home.
As he was playing games he didn''t notice anything strange. Because he didn''t care about anything. His surroundings have become quiet and the game he has been playing was lagging. He tried restarting the game but... he couldn''t! He couldn''t even move his hands!
"What the hell is happening!?" He wanted to yell out loud. But he couldn''t. He couldn''t do anything. It was like he was wrapped by some mysterious force. He struggled and struggled but he couldn''t move even a milimeter.
He finally snapped and started panicking. He was panicking for what seemed to be about 3 hours. Like any other reasonable person he tried to calm himself down and think about what is happening.
He only managed to calm himself after 3 more hours passed. He didn''t notice that he wasn''t getting thirsty or hungry at all.
He thought for a moment and finally came to a conclusion on what is happening to him. He couldn''t see other people around him because he is in a pretty desolate street but he noticed that there is a leaf in mid air not moving at all. The conclusion...Time has probably ''stopped''.
He couldn''t believe his eyes. He couldn''t really move his sight so he stared at the view of the leaf for 10 minutes before thinking :
"What the fuck is going on!? Is there anyone who can explain this to me?" He was almost broken mentally until he heard someone say something.
"Why should I explain? You guessed it right yourself." A calming voice was speaking. Tana (The boy''s name) tried to move even though he knew he couldn''t. He wanted to know from where the voice came and how did it know what he was thinking.
"Me? No one important. Atleast in my world. I am here as a...uhh...I forgot the word" The voice replied as it seemed to read Tana''s mind. Tana was beggining to feel confused and angry at the same time. What is with this guy... He forgot the word? Well... Not like I need to know I read enough novels so I think I know what word he wanted to use, a messenger,right?
"So that was the word! You sure? Sound weird to me." This guy is retarded. Thought Tana and tried to speak with him.
"First,I am not retarded I just didn''t take my time to learn your language fully. Second,don''t speak to me like that, I think you noticed that I am reading your mind so don''t even try. Third,I forgot what third was.. Oh right! Yes, I am a messenger from a higher realm! Just kidding I am from the same realm as you..."

"What?" The voice was suprised at the silence. He didn''t believe there wouldn''t be any reply.
"Nothing." Tana replied thinking. Just moments ago he was going crazy and now he is being made fun of.
"Was that not funny? Well,whatever. A lowly human like you can''t even understand our humour!" The voice said proudly and continued " I came here as a messenger,yes. My mission is to teach humans how to adapt to a special energy that is being born on Earth and other planets in this Solar system." The voice finished speaking.
"Special energy? What''s with this fantasy setting?" Tana replied after hearing what the voice said. He also noticed that the voice sounded robotic and natural at the same time. Like it didn''t come from outside. It was neither male or female. It seems it is talking into my head literally.
"What''s so fantasy about it? Your whole society seems fantasy to me. I mean...what is that thing in your hands used for? A lamp of some sort? A magical screen artifact? Actually nevermind...I don''t care,it doesn''t even emit even the smallest bit of aura of origin."
"Aura of origin? This guy is talking more and more weirdly. Just say what do you what and get it over with!" Tana didn''t like to wait.
"Huh? Ungrateful...I hate doing these kinds of jobs the most too you know! I am just going to use my power and reform your body so it doesn''t collapse when the energy awakens fully. The other guys are doing similar things like me it seems." The voice fell and Tana could feel something touching his back.
A cold but refreshing feeling was entering Tana''s body at first but later it became violent and painful. Tana wanted to grit his teeth but he couldn''t even move one finger. He screamed internally until it finally ended...
"The job''s done. Now I can go home and have some fun." The voice said as it left something infront of Tana.
"What''s this?" Tana stabilized his mind and asked hurriedly before the voice went away.
"A tutorial book of some sort,I don''t know never read it. It has everything you need to know about the special energy awakening in you Solar system and things like those. Also,you should know this. Don''t try anything before the energy fully awakens. I don''t like when someone whose body I reformed dies in a stupid way."
Tana''s mind went blank after he heard the last sentence...Don''t do anything? Is there something I can do? Maybe there is something about that in this book?
The person whose voice was heard looked at Tana with an irritated face and repeated :
" I just said don''t try it you dumbass! If you try it I am going to return you to your mother''s...sorry I went overboard."
Tana was dumbfounded and stood there silently as time started running again. The voice went away and Tana just stood there silently and tried to think what just happened. The person who reformed his body yelled at him...This is a first,actually everything that just happened is a first but wow!
"What now?" Tana said out loud as he was putting his cellphone away and picking up the book the voice left.

"I can''t believe this is happening but whatever...It did happen though." Tana walked home and entered his room.
He is living in a small apartment with two bedrooms,one bathroom,kitchen and a living room. He also had a roommate but he moved out when his parents rented him his own apartment. He is using the other room as an office of some sort for now. He is getting enough money from his parents to live in the apartment by himself anyways.
He entered his room booted up his computer and started reading the book while the computer was booting up. The book was named [The First Steps(Translated version)]
He opened the book and started reading. On the first page there was a picture of the human body and some things noted below. It said :
" The human body is one of the many bodies that can hold ''Mana'' as an usable resource."
"So they decided to call it mana in our world because of our language differences it seems. I wonder why did they call it mana though? Is it becuase it is the most popular name for special types of fantasy energy in our world?" Tana said as he started reading the other pages.
The following pages were on how to control mana,how to change the properties of mana and how to refine your body with mana. There were other unecesarry things there too but Tana read them and remembered all of it with just one read. He thought that it was weird.
How can a human so easily remember a whole book after only one read? He didn''t even bother trying to remember and he still remembered. It must be something special about this book! He thought.
He put down the book and went on the internet to see if what just happened has happened somewhere else. Just as he was going to do that his cellphone ringed. He looked at who is calling to see that it was his mother.
He answered.
"Hello?"
"Tana,my son! Are you alright? I was just stopped by some suspicious person who told me some weird stuff. I need your help! Can you call your dad I can''t reach him." His mother''s voice was scared. It was obivous what happened so Tana tried to calm his mother down.
"Mom,please calm down that wasn''t anything important just continue living your life like you did until now. The same thing happened to me." He said easily.
"What do you mean the same thing happened to you? Does that mean those people are after our family? Tana immediately call your father!" Tana''s mother just grew more worried...
"I fucked up..." He thought and replied. " Alright,alright I''ll call him." and he hung up.
"Now what? I better call dad he wouldn''t be startled like mom was and he could explain it to her better I think." He thought out loud and called his dad and told him to explain everything to his mom.
His dad replied : "No problem son I understand what happened clearly the person who reformed my body told me everything."
"Good...Goodbye then dad." Tana hung up after that.
Tana looked at the window he opened up on the computer and typed in ''unusual things happening to people'' . He didn''t expect much but when he pressed enter a whole lot of things appeared and he clicked the first link.
A forum website opened up and the title of it is [ Unusual Things Happening right now! Somebody help!]
There were alot of people saying things and explaining their experiences. It seems that this has really happened in the whole world. Tana closed the window and turned off his computer and went to sleep.
He didn''t hope that the world would go back to normal as most people would when he wakes up. He hoped that the world would always stay like this.
With that 1 month has passed since the strange phenomena that the government has called "The awakening".
The special energy called mana has awakened around 95%. People could use mana since it was on 90% but most of them didn''t dare to do that because of the warning of the people that ''reformed'' their bodies.
Tana wasn''t one of them. Just yesterday did Tana decide to start absorbing mana and trying to use it. It seems that the mana in Europe and Asia awakened already completely so people can use it freely now.
Tana tried to make a mana ball in his hand after absorbing mana all day yesterday. He didn''t manage to do that but he did manage to feel the mana around him. That is a great success.
It wasn''t until his 10th try that he managed to absorb the mana that he could feel on his first try. So he was quite dissapointed because he thought he was somekind of genius in mana absorbtion and things like those.
After one whole night of absorbing mana he could feel his body becoming heavier. In the book that he got it was said that when you feel your body become heavy you should stop absorbing because you are nearing the limit of you body.
He did as the book said and stopped absorbing the mana at once.
He now tried to do the mana ball thing described in the book.
1st try...The mana didn''t even move inside his body. It was the same for the first 5 times.
on the 6th time he managed to move a bit of mana from his abdomen,where the mana gathers, to his left palm. The mana moved very slowly and needed around 5 minutes to get to the palm.
After it came to the palm Tana''s mind wavered and the mana dispersed in thin air. He was becoming a bit tense knowing that he made such mistake.
On his 7th try he finally managed to get the mana outside his body but he couldn''t form it in a ball shape. His 8th time was the same but a bit faster.
Finally on his 13th time he managed to form a small ball that took up atleast 1 cubic centimeter of space. He was delighted as he noticed that he finally made it!
"Yes!" He yelled out loud with happines. He didn''t care if his neighbors heard him he was truly happy.
Chapter 2
After trying a few more times to stabilize the mana he was sending out and trying to edit the properties of mana the ball exploded in Tana''s hand. Luckly his own mana can''t hurt him unless he managed to edit the properties.
He didn''t lose spirit though. Even when the ball exploded he knew that he made some huge progress towards perfection. Atleast the perfection of the basics. He didn''t even complete 10% of the basics but he knows that he must be one of the few people that did.

2 weeks have passed since Tana managed to absorb mana and create mana balls.
Right now the mana in the Solar system has fully awakened and the landscape and animals are starting to change. The book mention something about this but Tana didn''t pay much atention to that because he was inside a town and there weren''t really much wild animals or tame animals in particular in the radius around the town.
The government decided to ban the use of mana until the find out if it is dangerous. They said so but everybody knew they were trying to prioritize themselves and the army. They wanted to be the first to adapt to mana completely and still be the highest ranked ones in the world.
The people of course had to listen because they couldn''t go against the law or the government! But Tana didn''t care about that because he has already mastered around 50% of the basics!
He can now make a mana ball with the radius of 1 cubic meter! He still has difficulites changing the properties of mana but he managed to give his mana ball a spinning effect. He also learned how to launch the ball, he can throw the ball 10 meters away from him.
Of course, he didn''t test those things inside his apartment. He went into the woods outside the town and tried shooting the mana ball at a nearby tree. He didn''t expect much but what happened really shocked him.
The tree trunk wasn''t really thick but you would still need three people to hug around it. The mana ball blasted into the tree and ripped through half of the trunk. Tana immediately moved away because he feared that the tree could fall down. It didn''t but the tree wasn''t really stable anymore so he decided to go home after that.

Right now Tana is doing some research on the web about the changing world. The governments in other countries are mostly doing the same thing as the one in his country. It was expected though. There are some people saying that they saw a 4 meter long lizard in a city in South Korea. Tana was interested in those kinds of things but it turns out that it was just someone trolling the forums.
Tana was a bit let down after he found out that though...Because he wanted to see how did the animals and other things change. He saw some photos of wolves bigger than their normal size and cats as big as tigers but nothing about other animals.
He then went and researched about mana. He wanted to know all about the world right now. He found out about some people who almost mastered the basics. He did some looking and found all their data and what they posted.
Some of the things are : 1. Mana can be used to heal small wounds. Like knife cuts and similar.
2. The mana that you absorbed is unique to you. Other people can''t absorb it without refining it outside their body first.
3. Refining mana is almost impossible.
Those are the most important things he needed to know. He already knew about the unique thing because it is written in the tutorial book. It seems that these people didn''t read the book completely and still managed to almost finish the basics. They are the true geniuses.

Tana turned off his computer and sat in a meditation position and started absorbing mana in his surrounding. Ever since the mana awakened completely his body could absorb mana more freely and the mana in the atmosphere was stable.
He didn''t know much about the world outside besides the things he saw on the internet. But he guessed most stuff would be the same as the novels he read when he started highschool.
He didn''t go to school at all ever since the phenomenon happened because there weren''t any classes since then. The government said they will try to fix most problems in one to two months time. Tana hoped it would last longer so he can master the basics and make his own magic and skills.
There''s one thing Tana did that no one else didn''t do. In his version of the tutorial book it is said that people can infuse mana into their bodies and organs so they can become stronger and gain special abilities. It is said if you infuse enough mana into your eyes and brain you would get night vision and photographic memory. Tana did just that! Ever since he managed to form a basic mana ball he has started infusing mana in his body and testing things.
If you infuse mana in the heart your bloodflow and blood will become more stable and you will less like die from heart failure,regenaration also became a bit faster.
If you infuse mana in your nerves your senses will become better and you will sense even the slightest changes in the air.
That''s all he managed to test for now. He is currently the only human in this solar system that has these abilities.
"What time is it?" Tana finished meditation and looked at the digital clock beside his bed. It was sunday today, the time is 4:14 PM.
"I was meditating for 2 hours? That''s pretty long for a beginner like me." He said and checked his body. He noticed a few changes on his body but the most noticable one was that his body can hold now double the capacity of mana he could hold before. That explains why he was meditating longer than before.
"What now? Let''s see...I need to get groceries,shampoo and some other stuff. I can use the bicycle to get to the market." Tana said and he went to the garage of the apartment building he was staying. The people renting the apartments can use this garage as they want as long as they don''t do something illegal.
Tana rid his bike to the market to buy some fruit,meat and vegetables and then went to a shop to buy the other necessities. He noticed a few men in army clothing buying some stuff like they were preparing for something. Tana decided on a foolish action and followed them. Even though his mental abilities became better he was still curious about some stuff.
After 2 hours of riding his bike and following them silently without being discovered he found out they were going to a hidden camp in the woods outside the town. Tana deducted that they must be here to find an evolved/mutated animal and get it back to the labs for research!
With this,Tana decided to follow them and see how they will kill or capture the animal and see the strenght of the evolved/mutated animals!
So...here''s the second chapter of my new story. I finally got some inspiration and decided that I won''t half ass this story because I like the concept of these kinds of stories.
So anyways...it''s late at night I am really tired and I am going to sleep now.

Chapter 3
Forest Camp.
The army men were preparing themselves for the hunt. They painted themselves in camo so they could hide better and they were wearing protective gear. It seems that they will use assault rifles to hunt the mutated animals.
Tana was still hiding near the camp and waiting for them to start moving again. He hid his bike with leaves and weeds he found on the ground and used mud on himself to hide his smell. He was really cautious about this because you never know what could happen in this new world.
"What do you think we will find in this forest?" A voice could be heard. It was the voice of one of the army men. It seems that he is nervous.
"Don''t know. Considering that I have been camping here with a few friends just a few weeks before the awakening I can tell you that there isn''t really many dangerous animals here. We will probably find a deer or something like that and send that to research." Another man replied, it seems that they were friends looking at how casually they were speaking.
"Ah,really..." The first man said and went silent. He didn''t want to speak anymore because it was making him more nervous .
He was only 1.70 meters tall so he was the shortest and weakest amongst them in physical strength. But there is one thing that he is better than the others and that is mana! He is already at 70% completion of the basics. But...he was still a bit nervous.
The other man saw his face and said to him while taking out a cigarette. "Why are you worrying? You saw the power of mana yourself,didn''t you? Also look at this." He pointed at the rifles "We have some of the strongest firepower here with us. I don''t think a deer can overpower that." He finished and used a lighter to light the cigarette.
"Yeah you''re right!" The man replied and went somewhere else.

While that was happening,Tana was using his mana to sense if there''s something around him. He can use mana to sense only when he is completely calm so he can''t be disturbed. The maximum range he can sense is 100 meters around him.
Right now he is getting a few signals on his radar but those are all humans,the army men. There was one other signal on the border of the radar but it dissapeared as soon as Tana tried to use mana to see what it is.
"Alright! Found something!" Tana said quietly but really happy and went in the direction of the signal. After he moved 50 meters he stopped and sat in a meditative position so he can use the mana radar once again. This time he noticed that the signal was moving away from another signal. Tana deduced that it wasn''t him that made the signal move but the other signal. The other signal was emitting a more powerful aura that even Tana could feel from 50 meters away from him.
Tana decided to stop here and go back but it was too late. The first signal vanished in thin air and the second signal noticed him and started going cautiously towards him.
Tana was freaking out when he saw this. Due to his freaking out the mana radar stopped working and the mana he was using dispersed in all directions. Tana didn''t know this but he managed to trick the signal for a few seconds there because his body and the mana he was using were giving out the same fluctations.
Since the mutated animals were also new to using mana they didn''t know how to control it or use it to sense around them.
Tana finally came back to the place he was hiding. After he came back he scrubbed all of the mud on himself and threw some rocks he found into the army camp. He wanted the army men to deal with this animal. He know that he doesn''t have enough time to hide before the men arive.
He hid under some leaves with his bike and made a small opening to observe the mutated animal and the army men fight. He hoped to see the power of the new animals. Ever since the awakening of mana he was doing a lot of research and reading of fantasy books and novels. He wanted to make so many things in this new world and one of them is to tame a new animal that came.
Things like those were like hopeless dreams before the awakening but now they aren''t at all! Tana thought and watched the fight that is going to start any moment now. He was waiting for the mutated animal to show itself.
He tried using the mana radar to see where it is and it worked! He found out it was only 20 meters west from him while the army men were just behind him. The mana radar didn''t hold out much longer and the mana dispersed itself again. The mutated animal once again became confused and rushed towards the initial point where the mana started to come.
What the animal saw when it came was men in camo clothing and assault rifles. It didn''t know what it was but it could sense danger like any other wild animal. The animal finally showed its appearence! Tana looked at the mutated animal that was infront of him. It looked like a dog,a 2 meter tall dog. Its front teeth were shining with a black light and its fur was some kind of combination of black with brown spots.
"Ah...It''s just a mutated dog. I wonder what it killed then?" Tana thought dissapointed on the appearence of the dog. He was suprised a bit by the size of the dog but that was all. There were some much bigger dogs captured on pictures after the awakening. There have been pictures of dogs standing 4-5 meters tall! This isn''t really suprising.
Tana then looked at the army men. There were some that were a bit scared looking at the appearence of the dog but most of them were calm and already preparing to shoot. The man that was nervous at first was now calm. It seems the talk he had before calmed him down.
"Prepare to fire!" The leader shouted and pointed his rifle at the mutated dog.
Tana looked forward to see what will happen now.
"Fire!" The leader shouted and the men started firing at the dog. The dog was startled at first but it ignored the bullets after it saw them. It seems that it''s confident that it can hold out.

The leader saw this and immediately changed the strategy he came up with. If bullets can''t hurt him we will try using mana attacks!
"Everyone change positions! The mana users go behind the shooters. We will try attacking the dog with mana attacks while using the shooters as an distraction!" The leader gave out an order and the men that were shooting made a formation with the mana users behind them.
The dog saw this and knew that the men behind the people that were shooting him were important so he decided to get rid of them first! The dog started charging and came infront of some of the shooters.
"Aaahhh!!" A scream could be heard and shortly after the man died. As the other men that were close to him saw this they started running away and screaming.
"Fuck this! This isn''t a dog this is a monster!" A man said while pointing his gun at the dog.
Bang...bang...bang... (A/N :I am really bad at making sound effects!)
The dog didn''t even move! The bullets did almost no damage but there was one bullet that hit the dogs eyes and it hurt him!
"Huh? That''s right! The eyes,shoot the eyes!" The man yelled and the others started shooting at the eyes. They were right it did some minor damage but that was all! The dog didn''t even use its eyes after the mutation.
"Fuck! It''s doing some damage but that''s nothing for it ,it seems! Mana squad are you ready yet?" The leader said and pulled back a bit.
"10 more seconds!" The leader of the mana squad said. The leader of the mana squad was the short man that was nervous before the fight.
As he said that the dog continued killing its way towards the mana squad! In only 5 seconds it came close to the mana squad and some of the men in the mana squad have begun to be nervous! Their mana balls that they were casting were becoming more and more unstable.
"Don''t lose focus! 5 more seconds!" The leader told them and they calmed down a bit.
The shooter squad was almost annihilated but they were still shooting relentlessly without stopping! Some of the shooters were running out of ammo so they pulled back a bit to safety. When the other shooters saw this they were getting angry and scared at the same time. If there is less men that means the dog will kill them!
"You little...!" A man said quietly while looking at the men retreating.
"Spells are prepared! Retreat and shoot!" The short man ordered and the mana squad followed the order.
The mana balls they were shooting were 30 centimeters in diameter so they were a lot smaller than Tana''s mana balls. Tana saw this and noted that.
"Aaaaaahhh!" The men yelled and threw the mana balls the furthest they could and only three of the many balls hit the dog. A screen of dust appeared after the impact so they were cautious until they saw the dead body.

The screen of dust finally dissipated and you could see a silhouette of the dog. The dog was still standing with only a few bigger wounds on his body.
When the army men saw this they grew desperate and they started running away the fastest they could!
The dog saw this and he was enraged completely! He came here after following a scent that was giving out an aura only a bit weaker than himself and he was wounded this badly!
Tana saw this and started preparing a 1 meter big mana ball. The balls that hit the dog were around 20 centimeters big and did so much damage. But he didn''t shoot the ball until the dog killed every army men. He was scared that the government would imprison him after seeing the usage of mana from him.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!" This was the last army man that was left alive now he can shoot.
"First aim. Second,start spinning. Third,shoot!" Tana thought as he changed the properties of the mana ball into a spinning mana ball. He shot the ball at the unaware dog and it hit him in the head.
The dog''s head exploded in pieces after the impact and Tana was dumbfounded at the power of his mana ball. He clearly saw the ball ripping throught the skull thanks to its spinning properties.
"Wow! I did it!" Tana shouted and went to the dog''s corpse. He read in some novels that monsters could have some kind of crystals inside their bodies that gave them such power...
...
After looking carefully he noticed that there isn''t anything like that. It seems that some things can''t be like in novels. He also wanted to take the fur and skin of the dog but they were damaged badly because of the bullets. He decided to only take a few bones and bury the dog''s body somewhere.
The army men''s bodies were also buried with the dog''s body. He didn''t want to leave any evidence.
After he finished with that he went to the place the mutated dog fought another monster. He wanted to see its corpse...

After walking a bit he came to find a dead bird. It didn''t look like a normal bird because it was clearly bigger than the other birds he saw before. He also noticed some strange patterns on the birds body but they were damaged due to the battle with the dog.
"I wonder why didn''t the bird fly away? The dog can''t possibly fight in mid ai-" Tana stopped talking and he thought of something. What if the bird was protecting something? Children? Some treasure?
Tana started climbing every tree in the vicinity of the bird''s corpse. He first thought that it was pointless but after some hard looking he finally found something...
Here it is!! The third chapter! Good morning dear readers! Did you have a good sleep? I did!
So...I woke up,didn''t even eat anything and decided to write a new chapter for you guys. Why? Because I am out of food...

Chapter 4
The forest.
Tana didn''t expect much but he still wanted anything he found. It is a new world with a lot of unknown things so he want to be the first one to explore most things! He also thought that there must be people like him on Earth aswell.
One thing he did know is that there won''t be starving children anymore if they can find out that mana can be used as an energy source for your body. He didn''t want to tell that to anyone but it should be easy to find out on your own.
The thing that the bird was guarding was a fruit it seems. 2 of them. One was violet in color while the other one was orange in color. The violet one is smaller so he thought the orange one is more precious. He wanted to do research on these fruit that looked like oranges with spikes immediately but he decided to wait until he got home.

After he came home he first took a shower and cleaned himself of the mud he was using to hide his smell. His bike was dirty too but that is normal for him.
He left the fruit on the table in his room.He didn''t even bother to get dressed up as he started up his computer and went on the internet to see if someone found something similar to this. He didn''t find anything. Some people found some new fruits and plants but that was all. There wasn''t anything about this fruit though...
Tana was a bit dissapointed and happy at the same time. Dissapointed that he didn''t know what he could do with the fruit,happy that he was the first one to discover something like this.
He decided to try eating the smaller violet one first. But first,he needed to make some precautions so he can be safe while the process is going on. He thought that this fruit might give him some kind of power up so he prepared for the worst. He knew that fruit like these that give power ups usually have some kind of side effect. He sat in a meditating position and started eating the fruit.
The fruit was sour and sweet at the same time. It gave of a relaxing feeling at first. He thought that it maybe doesn''t have a side effect and he relaxed completely.
Little did he know that the side effect only starts after the relaxing feeling! After the relaxing feeling finished the side effects began taking effects. His body started to become hotter and he was sweating blood. He started panicking and trying to stabilize his body using mana to regenerate the small wounds he was getting.
After the first phase of the side effects ended the second phase began. A violet gas started coming out of Tana''s pores and started fusing into his body. It felt like it was ripping through his bones. This lasted for 10 minutes, Tana barely held out so long,his mana was reaching the limit and he couldn''t heal himself anymore.
After the side effects vanished Tana looked at his bloody body and said sadly : "I just took a shower though..."
He also noticed that the mana capacity he could absorb has become bigger and the speed of absorbtion as well. He didn''t notice anything different about his body only that he looked more cleaner.
He also noted that if the small violet fruit almost killed him, what would the bigger orange colored one do? He shivered and didn''t think about that anymore. He decided to name the fruit Violet Rebirth Fruit. Because he felt like he was just reborn. Good thing he didn''t wear any clothes though. He didn''t want to explain how he got blood on them if someone saw them.

His parents visited once while he was testing mana ball and they were suprised and worried that the government might catch him. He told his parents if they don''t tell anyone the government can''t catch him.
His parents were worried about him but they swore not to tell anyone.
After taking a shower again,Tana decided to absorb the mana to his limit and see what his limit is now for real. He guessed it was atleast double than before he ate the fruit. His guess was right! After only 2 hours he finished absorbing and his limit is now a bit more than 2 times than before.
"Wow...I feel great!" Tana said as he jumped of his bed and started practicing mana control. He also noticed that controling mana also became easier due to his mana capacity. If there is an anomaly in his control he will just put more mana in it. After seeing the effects of the spinning mana ball he wanted to try and make his own spell.
He thought for a moment and decided that he will try making a sword light from mana. The properties he wanted to try were spinning and vibrating. He wanted maximum penetration power in his magic. He also wanted to try and add an elemental effect like fire or water but he didn''t know how to do those so he stopped there.
His first few tries on making a sword light didn''t go well. He barely made a 1 centimeter long sword light that couldn''t spin or vibrate.
This went on for 2 weeks. During those 2 weeks there were some news about an army squad that has gone missing in the woods near his town. He knew what those news were about of course. His progress towards a complete magic spell were slow though. He only managed to complete 10% of the spell.
The sword light he was making right now was 10 centimeters long and could vibrate really slowly. If he tried to make the sword light vibrate faster he would need to change the lenght to 2 centimeters. He wanted to try harder but this was already the best he was doing.
His mana capacity improved aswell with his control.He learned the second basic spell from the tutorial book. It was a mana arrow spell. Its power was weaker than the spinning mana balls but the amount of arrows he can spawn was bigger. It was the perfect spell for group fighting. He tried adding spinning and vibrating to the arrows but he couldn''t put so much properties on such a quantity of arrows.
His current spells were :Mana ball,Spinning mana ball,mana arrow and sword light (10% finished)
He was quite confident in his strength so he decided it''s time to go on a little adventure in the woods outside the town. He wanted to get some more unknown plants and fruit. He didn''t eat the Orange Rebirth Fruit during the two weeks time. He was still a bit doubtful that he can endure such side effects.
The smaller Violet Rebirth Fruit did that to him he didn''t even try to imagine what would happen if he ate the orange one.
He grabbed a dagger he got from his father and wore some green and brown camo clothing.He is preparing on going on his first adventure now!

Chapter 5 - Medical properties,breakthrough,Moonlight Guild
In the inner parts of the woods there have been sightings of a big bear before the awakening. Tana wanted to try and fight that bear. He knew that there isn''t anyone stronger than him in his country right now. Maybe there are some people outside his country but he isn''t planning on going outside the country right now.
There were some news of a group of terrorists in the USA that''s using mana balls with an explosion addon in it to destroy cities. They were caught though. Tana knew that these terrorists were better than him in using mana it seems.
Right now he is riding his dirty bike in the outer parts of the woods. He is planning on finding something smaller to start of. The dog he killed before was wounded so that can''t be counted as a real fight.
He can use the mana radar now while moving but the range will be shorter. It will be around 75 meters. That was enough for him to sense some presences while moving. He sensed three presences with the same aura as the bird. It looked like the 2 weaker presences were fighting the stronger one.
Tana decided to kill all of them. He wanted to test out the mana arrow he learnt.
When he came to the scene he saw an mutated rat and cat fighting a bird. The rat and cat were losing because they couldn''t attack from afar and in air.
The bird had an obvious advantage! That was the ability to fly!
Tana decided to get rid of the birb with an stealth attack first. He made a 1 meter large spinning mana ball and threw it at the bird mid air. The bird saw the ball coming but couldn''t react fast enough and the ball ripped through the bird''s wing. Tana was a bit disappointed in his aim. He wanted to one shot kill it.
Well...atleast it lost the ability to attack now. Tana shot a smaller spinning ball at the bird and killed it and now focused on the other two mutated animals. He saw that the rat was a bit stronger than the cat but it was more wounded too. It seems that mutated animals gain a bit of intelligence as well looking at how the bird prioritized the rat more than the cat.
The cat noticed Tana first and started running away.The cat knew that someone who can kill such a bird so fast is someone not to be fighting with.
The rat didn''t run though,not that is didn''t want but it couldn''t. It was wounded. Tana saw the cat running and followed it and threw a two smaller spinning mana balls at it. The first one hit the cat''s front left leg and the second ball hit the abdomen area. The cat fell down slowly dying from blood loss.
Tana returned to where the rat was and used mana arrows to pierce the skull and brain of the rat. The power of the arrows was clearly weaker but there were a lot more of them. The arrows finally pierced the skull and brain and the rat died.
Tana wanted to take some of the fur from the cat so he can make some protective armor with it after he learns how. He also took the teeth from the rat and cat too. The bird didn''t have many useful things but he still took some blood samples. Tana was delighted when he saw his spoils. He wanted to try drinking the blood after he came home but now he is just going to store it.
He is planning on going deeper in the woods. He want to try and find more new and mutated plants. He also saw a few weird trees while he was going deeper in the forest. The inner parts of the forest had more and more animals and beasts which were strong as the dog. Tana didn''t dare to fight them with his mana drained after the battle with the bird and others.
He did find some trees that grew some weird blue colored leaves once in a while it seems. He took some leaves and decided to blend them together with the Orange Rebirth Fruit after testing it.
There wasn''t anything other than that. He decided not to go any further because his mana radar is being blocked by something deeper in the forest. He thought it was maybe some beast that learned to control mana. He knew it was possible to block the radar if someone had better control and power in mana than you.
He decided that it was enough for today and went back home. When he was going back home he stopped at a store and bought a mortar and pestle for crushing the leaves and herbs he found.
After he came home he decided to try making tea with the blue leaves he picked up. He used only one leaf and the others he stored for later use. He put the water to boil while he took a quick shower. After he came out of the shower he made the tea. The leaf made the water become blue and give of an chilling and refreshing fragrance. It was currently summer so it is good that is gives of a chilling fragrance but the water is hot isn''t it?
Did the leaf make the tea cold? This is something interesting. Tana thought as he tried taking a sip from the tea...
His guess was right! The tea was freezing cold! His head hurt after drinking the tea but that was all. He could feel the mana in his body changing a bit but that was all. He didn''t think it would be this cold! After a few moments he calmed down and thought of an idea.
"The Rebirth Fruit makes your body hot while the Blue Leaf makes you body cold and replenishes a bit of mana,right? Can''t you combine those two to get rid of most of the effects? I want to try it!" Tana said while taking out the Blue leaves and the Rebirth Fruit. He started crushing and combining those two. As he was doing that he took small sips from the Blue Tea,he gave it the name, his head hurt but the mana he used before was replenishing slowly.
It took atleast 5 minutes to completely blend the fruit and leaves together. He drank the whole Blue Tea and his body was freezing cold from the outside. His mana was completely replenished though. He sat in a meditating position and took the blend he made.
He decided to call the blend Blue Rebirth Blend. He really has a bad naming sense...(A/N : By ''he'' I mean,I have a bad naming sense!)
He ate the whole blend at once. As it was with the Violet Rebirth Fruit the sense of relaxation and refreshing came first then the hot and cold from the fruit and leaves. The hot and cold battled in his body and he called out his mother.
"Mommy...!!" If it was only the Orange Rebirth Fruit he might''ve called for his ancestors...
He tried using mana to regenerate the wounds that were appearing and it worked but the mana was going away faster than ever! Good thing the Blue Leaves were regenerating mana aswell. He endured the pain and the blood sweat started to come out at last!
The blood he was sweating was a dark red color or so it seemed. He endured for 1 hour. That was a lot longer than what he had to endure last time. This was only the first phase too! There''s still the fusion phase.
The hot and cold feelings were finally becoming calmer but the gas is coming out at last! The second phase is beginning!
As Tana saw the orange gas coming out he prepared his mana and started regenerating as fast as possible. The effect of the blue leaves is going to fade away in 5 minutes if he doesn''t finish the fusion process during those 5 minutes he will have to rely on luck.
1 minute passed...2 minutes...3...4......5 minutes!!
5 minutes have passed and the blue leaves effect stopped. He is currently only at 70% fusion he still has 30% and the remaining mana he has is barely enough. He was relieved that he had barely enough mana.
He finished the fusion process and looked at his body once again. His skin was cleaner than ever and his facial features were more handsome. He was still the same height but you can''t say this is the same person! His mana capacity was tripled! This is a magnificent breakthrough. His muscles and bones became stronger during the fusion process.

He took a quick shower once again and cleaned himself completely. He now saw himself in the mirror. He was really more handsome. His hair became a bit darker though. It''s now a blackish brown color. His eye color is the same.
He wanted to try using the sword light spell he has been working on. He first made the sword light 10 cm long and added the vibrating effect. He could add the same speed of the vibrating as he could when the sword light was 2 cm long. This is clearly an improvement. He tried making the sword light longer but he needed to make the vibrating slower. He could now make a 30 cm long sword light with a vibrating effect three times slower.
His sword light spell is now around 30% complete he thought. If he can only make it 100 cm long with a vibrating and spinning effect. He will consider that complete then.
He also managed to make the spinning mana ball rotate even faster and made the arrows rotate at all. You could see a grin on his face as he was looking at the spinning arrows in front of him. He was considering himself the strongest in the town now.
"I managed to get some other herbs so I need to try them too." He said while taking out more different shaped and colored plants and herbs.
They were only mana replenishing herbs it seems. There were some that gave your mana a boost in the cost of mentality.When Tana tried that one he almost destroyed the wall of the apartment. He decided not to use that one. He named it the Berserker Herb.
The common mana replenishing herbs were : Minor Herb and a Medium replenishing herb. He didn''t want to name them because they were only used for that right now. If he finds some other uses he will name them then.
He also decided to try adding more properties to his mana. He wanted to try elemental properties so he decided the next few days would only be research about the different elements.
He did as he said. He was researching a lot of different elements and stuff on the internet and reading a lot of novels and books with these kinds of settings. He tried adding the heat property to the spinning mana ball. He imagined the mana to be like the feeling he felt while eating the Rebirth Fruit. It didn''t work though. He tried putting his hand on fire to feel the flames...That was a stupid idea. He needed 2 hours to regenerate his hand from the burns.
He did get some insight though. He tried spinning the ball faster while adding a heat element property only on one side of the ball. He managed to do that! Even though it is on one side the ball is spinning fast enough to activate the heat property more than enough times in a second.
Even though the heat property isn''t like fire and won''t burn the target. The target will still feel the heat from it.
Tana decided to call this new revised spell : Heat Ball
Tana''s current spells are : Mana ball,Spinning Mana ball,Heat ball,Spinning mana arrow, Mana arrows and Sword light (30% complete)
He is satisfied with that and went to sleep after watching the news...
In a different part of the country there was something going on. A group of teenagers around the age 15 and 16 decided to make a ''guild''! It is obvious that they read too much manga and were just trying to fool around but people didn''t think that they would manage to pull it off.
The name of the Guild was Moonlight. They called themselves Moonlight because they only hunted during the night.
"Hahahaha!! We rule!" A boy who looked to be 16 years old said.
"Yeah! We must be the strongest people in the world now! We need to find strong monsters and become even more stronger!" A girl also who looked to be 16 said while holding an sword. She got that sword from her father.Well...stole it from her father.
These teenagers were running away from home because they were scared of the government.
The boy was called Fred and the girl was called Laura. They were the strongest in the group. Fred used mana to strenghten his body like it was written in the tutorial book and Laura used mana to strengthen the sword in her hands.
The other teenagers from Moonlight were all a bit weaker than them. Fred was the one who made Moonlight and Laura was one of the rare girls in the group. She represented all girls in the guild.
"Hey,I found some interesting stuff that I want to explore. Do you remember the incident in which a whole army squad dissapeared?" Fred asked.
"The one in which the whole mana squad disappeared?" A 17 year old boy asked. His name is Matt,he is currently the third strongest and the oldest of them all.
"Yeah,that one." Fred replied. "I think there might be a beast there that is worth for us to take down. There might be some treasure too I think!" He was really enthusiastic.
"Stop right there! Do you really think we are stronger than an army squad?" Laura retorted. She didn''t seem to like the idea.
"Of course we are!" Fred said. "Look at those! Don''t you think that these were pretty dangerous? We killed them easily!" Fred pointed at two giant dog corpses. Their group had to fight them for 30 minutes to kill them and they barely survived with only one person who got lethal injuries.
"I don''t care. A girl had to be hurt because of you! What did we get from that? Nothing! Just piles of fur,meat and bones! Noone here knows how to refine those into weapons!" Laura was enraged. She was telling the truth though. The girl who was wounded was one of the girls she was close to. She uses almost all of her mana just to heal her daily. She is barely alive though. It will need atleast 2 years with Laura''s strength to heal her.
"So what? We can heal her. I want the treasure the beast is keeping! We found some herbs earlier today that can be used to replenish mana just give that to the girl and she will live." Fred said like he didn''t care. But in truth he was a bit frightened by Laura.
Laura knew swordsmanship and was stronger than him in a one on one battle. But there are more people on his side so he felt relieved.
"YOU!!" Laura was enraged and went into her tent. She was currently sharing the tent with the wounded girl so she can protect her.

"So,how do you plan on getting there? You can''t use public transport to go to the other side of the country. The government will catch us." Matt said to Fred after Laura went away.
"I plan on using the mountain paths. It will take us atleast 2 weeks but it will be worth it." Fred answered. He is really looking forward to this.
"Alright then. What are you going to do with Laura? We need her to battle. I recommend putting someone on healing duty." Matt said. He is right though,they need a healer in their guild.
"I will put some of the lesser mana users to practice as healers until then okay?" Fred decided and looked at the map while preparing to move...

Chapter 6 - School,Mana refining and Masks
When Tana woke up the first thing he did was check the time and look if he got any e-mails or messages. He did have one unread message. It was from his school, it says something like this : Dear [Student''s name] due to the events that have happened in the last month and so school was closed and the lessons were postponed. Now that the government has stabilized itself again the lessons will start again. Please come to school this monday.
It was more or less something like that. Tana looked at the date and saw that it is monday so he put on some clothing and went to school. He wanted to talk to some of his friends now. He couldn''t get to talk to them at all during the awakening.
"Let''s see...my phone is here,Blue Tea is also prepared.Good I am ready." Tana prepared Blue Tea because he wants to practice mana control while he is going to school.
With that he went to school. While he was going to school someone almost saw him use mana so he hid it fast enough while walking faster.
In only 10 minutes he came to school. His class was starting as soon as everyone came. There were some students that were talking about how they have been using mana and bragging how they killed beasts in the forest. Tana knew they were lying when he saw their mana capacity. Some of the students that were talking such things didn''t even have 1/10 of Tana''s mana.
There was one person who had 1/2 of Tana''s mana.That student was his bestfriend. He didn''t expect any less from the man he called his bestfriend. The student came up to him and greeted him.
"Yo,Tana,long time no see partner!" He was happy for some reason. He will probably brag about how much mana he has.
"Ah,it''s been a long time. How have you been?" Tana replied to him. The student''s name was Chris. He was 1.79 meters tall with long black hair and blue eyes. He was pretty plain looking if you ignore the hair and eyes.
"Hehehe...You won''t believe me but I managed to master the basics just yesterday!" Tana guessed right. He was bragging. Well Tana finished the basics pretty early too.
"So what..." Tana said like he didn''t care.
"So what!? I see...You mastered the basics too,didn''t you?" Chris was startled at first but noticed that he couldn''t sense Tana''s mana capacity at all.
Tana didn''t reply and just grinned.
"I knew it! I will never be better than you in these kinds of things it seems...I am only better in studying it seems." He looks a bit disappointed. Tana didn''t care,he knew how Chris acts. He considers Tana like his rival. What Chris didn''t know though is that Tana is better in studying too now due to using mana to refine his brain and mental skills.
"Yeah...better...In studying. Just sit down and let''s talk." Tana said calmly while holding in his laugh.
Chris saw Tana''s face and sit down. For Chris Tana was someone whom he respected with all his heart. "So,let me guess. You want me to help you with something,right?" He asked.
"Bingo!" Said Tana and continued "I need you to tell me first what kind of spells are you using. If you are only using the ones written in the tutorial I will be disappointed." He said while keeping his voice low so noone hears their conversation.
"Do you really think I am so dumb? Of course I learnt the basic spells like mana ball and mana arrow but I modified them! I added an elemental property to the mana ball so it explodes on impact!" Chris said enthusiastically.
He can put elemental properties that easily? I couldn''t do that when my mana was on the same level like his! Thought Tana. He was suprised while hearing what his best friend is saying. "You said you can put elemental properties on your spells,right? How?" Tana asked. He is now getting curious,he guessed it has to do with the tutorial book he got.
"It is written in the book you get." A simple answer. Tana guessed it right!
"Show me the book if you have it here with you!" Tana told him without hesitation.
"I have it with me,but why? Can it be that you book doesn''t have that?" Chris guessed right too. These two are like two peas in a pod. They can guess most things about the other one.
"That''s right. I have remembered my book completely and there isn''t anything like elemental properties. I only managed to do that by using my imagination and some refrence books I read." Tana answered quietly.
As they were talking the professor entered the room and the room quieted down. Tana said to Chris that they will talk later after class. Almost no one brought any books or anything. They hoped this will last shortly so they can go home fast. Chris was suprised when he heard that Tana managed to give elemental properties without the book he had. He also guessed that the book Tana had was somewhat different than his. Maybe it has got different uses of mana? Chris guessed right.
"Listen up you people. I guess most of you already started using mana and things like those. I just wanted to tell you that the government is allowing students to use mana if they swear not to use it on other people!" The professor was dead serious when talking and noone wanted to say something. One student stood up and said "I swear!"
Tana looked in the direction and saw that it was a girl. She had 1/5 of Chirs''s mana capacity so it seems that she is noone to worry about.
"If I remember correctly her name is Jennifer Croni,right?" Chris asked.
"Don''t know. I don''t bother to remember the names of useless people." Tana answered with an bored attitude. He stood up and said " I swear too!" he considered that this is a good decision. Until he gets more power he will try to stay undercover. This is the best outcome.
"I swear aswell!" Chris stood up and swore too. He was thinking the same thing as Tana. The girl named Jennifer looked at the two with eyes of delight. Honestly she was a bit embarrased standing there alone.
There were a few people that swore aswell after Chris but the first three caught many attention. The most attention caught Chris because of his looks. Tana was the most unnoticable of the three. That means his plan worked. Tana also noticed that Jennifer was looking at the two of them and he sent back a glance to her. She noticed the glance and felt a shiver in her spine.
"What was that?" She was scared shitless from that one glance. She noted that she musn''t do anything to those two. Even better she must get on their good side. "I don''t even know their names though..."
After Tana sent that glance he implanted some of his mana with a cold effect into her body to scare her. He saw her looks change so it meant that it worked.
"Is that all of you? good I noted your names." The professor said and went out of the class.
There were some students that started talking but most of them wanted to talk to Chris and Jennifer. Chris didn''t want to talk to anyone so he just went out of the classroom with Tana. Jennifer didn''t dare to follow them so she stayed in the classroom and talked to some of her girl friends.

Outside the classroom. Chris and Tana are heading to Tana''s apartment. Tana is reading the tutorial book that Chris gave him while telling the contents of his tutorial book to Chris. Tana''s tutorial book had body refining methods using mana and some instructions on plant gathering and stuff like those. Chris''s book on the other hand had mana artifacts refining methods and instructions on how to put elemental properties on basic spells.
Tana was delighted when reading the mana artifact refining parts. Mana artifacts, a special item using mana or other types if special worldly energy. The voice that reformed Tana''s body thought that his cell phone was an artifact of some sort. Well it did use energy but not that kind of energy.
Tana had some bones from beasts he killed so he wanted to make an artifact but he didn''t know the methods on how to. Now he has the most basic methods and most basic materials. He wants to make a bone dagger atleast so he doesn''t have to use his father''s dagger he got.
Chris was also suprised hearing the content of Tana''s book from him. He already had a strong body if he could use the body refining methods he described he could become one of the strongest men on Earth. But the plant gathering methods and stuff like those were useless to him.
When Tana finished reading the part about elemental properties and studies he found out that what he was doing is similar to the way the book describes it. It''s just that Tana is using his own body to feel and look at the changes and not something else. Chris used a piece of pig skin to see how it reacts to explosions and fire. He used mana to feel the changes and managed to get insight on the explosion property while Tana used his hand to get insight on the heat property.
After he finished reading the other parts he didn''t get much information. It was mostly the same as his book. Both Tana and Chris benefited from the other''s book. Tana found out about how to get insight and Chris found a way to refine his body.
"We came." Tana said as they came to his apartment.
"What do you plan on doing now?" Chris asked. He thought that Tana wanted to go hunting beasts with him but it seems that they came to his apartment.
"I want you to help me with something." Tana answered and went inside the apartment.
Tana is planning on using some of the bones he got to make masks with mana refining. They needed armor and something to hide their faces so this was a good idea Tana thought. He explained everything to Chris about what happened since the awakening. He didn''t tell him about the army squad though and how he was involved in that. He did tell him about the rat,bird and cat.
"You plan on making masks using the skulls of the cat and bird?" Chris asked. He was all for it but wouldn''t the masks look wierd? Actually scratch that...Chris thought that they might look too badass if Tana makes them. Tana is one of the best art students he saw he must make them badass looking or he will feel embarrassed.
"Yes. Come on help me." Tana answered while picking up the skulls and putting them inside the Blue Tea. The mana refining process had three steps. One is the strengthening process. This is not important but since he can do the strengthening he thought why not.
To do strengthening he need to have some special herbs or materials to fuse them into the artifact he is making. He is putting the skulls into Blue Tea to make them a bit firmer and then putting the bird and cat blood to each skull. The bird blood to the bird skull and the cat to the cat skull.
The strengthening process lasted three hours. After it finished the skulls gained a bluish red light around them. It didn''t emit real light it just seemed like that.
The second process was the most important one. The real mana refining and shaping. Tana needs to make the skulls fit their faces. Also mana refining is split into two parts. The first one is making the masks take the shape you want and the second one is making a mana imprint onto the masks.
The mana imprints are essential to mana artifacts. They are the ones that absorb mana from the enviroment to strenghten the artifacts and make them into real ones. Without one the ''artifact'' is only a normal item.
"I need your help I am running out of mana. Make an imprint on the cat mask fast!" Tana said loudly to Chris.
Chris nodded and started making an imprint. After he finished he had used 70% of his mana. Once again he was suprised on how Tana has so much mana.
"Fuuu...Done!" Tana and Chris sighed at the said time and said. After that the started laughing.
There was only one part left to do and that is fusing the artifact to yourself. That is part three. The person who is going to use the artifact is going to have to fuse their blood and the artifact together. That it easy to do since Tana has higher regeneration and Chris still has around 30% of his mana to use it to regenerate.
"Hahahah...This was exciting! If you do something like this again you need to invite me to help you!" Chris was laughing and Tana started laughing at the same time.
"Of course. What do you think I would do? I can''t do this alone in the future it won''t be fun at all!" Tana replied and laid on the floor. They were doing this in the other bedroom that Tana turned into his private space.
"So who is taking which mask? I want the cat one!" Chris said. He wasn''t dissapointed at all. The masks had their mana imprints like tatoos and they looked like those tribal masks people used in the past.
"They have the same durability and strength. The bird one should have air affinity and the cat one aswell. So I don''t care." Tana said while laying on the ground still.
"You''re right. Then the cat one is mine!" Chris put on the mask and he felt some kind of power entering his body. The masks improved mana absorbtion! "Tana,my friend you are a genius in mana refining! These masks improve mana absorbtion! If you sold these you would be rich!"
"Sold? Are you fucking kidding me? Who in their right mind would sell these treasures?" Tana was a bit dumbfounded at the sentence Chris just said. Of course he won''t sell them. He and Chris are the only ones in this country who got artifacts. What would the government do to them if they found out? Enslave them probably...
Sixth chapter...I liked writing this chapter alot because I finally could write some real conversations between the main character and people!

Chapter 7 - Hunting the leader of the inner forest!
Tana''s apartment.
Tana and Chris picked up the masks and tried absorbing mana. They noticed that the mana in their surroundings was getting thinner and thinner the more they absorbed. If they absorbed a lot of mana the neighbors might suspect something is going on.
"Let''s stop for now." Tana recommended.
"Yeah,let''s do that." Chris said that seriously but his face had a grin the whole time. He was really happy to have such a good friend.
"Did you talk with Catherine? Do you know how she is doing?" Tana asked. His group of friends was him,Chris and a girl named Catherine at first. But Catherine moved to another country so Chris and her had to break up. Those two were almost always together. They even became friends with Tana at the same time.
"I did. She called me 1 week after our bodies got reformed. She told me that she almost died because she tried absorbing mana while it hasn''t fully awakened." As Chris heard her name his eyes were sad but his face happy. It seems that he is worried about her.
"I knew that you shouldn''t absorb mana before it awakened atleast 90%. Didn''t the voice tell her that?" Tana asked. Chris also knew about that but it seems that Catherine''s voice didn''t warn her about that. Even though Tana''s voice was rude he still warned him.
"It seems that it didn''t warn her. She is currently fine. Her little brother is good at absorbing mana and using it to heal other people. She has only small wounds now. She will be fine in a month or so." Chris seemed to be relieved as he was saying this.
"Good...Let''s go prepare." Tana didn''t want to talk about that anymore and he said that they should go prepare.
"Prepare for what?" Chris was startled at Tana''s words. We''re going somewhere?
"Hunting of course. I plan on making ourselves weapons but the cat bones and others are no good. The masks could endure a few bullets but that''s all. We need to become stronger and stronger every day until the world completely adapts to this new mana and environment." Tana said as he threw a backpack with Blue Tea and some other mana replenishing herbs at Chris.
"Use those to replenish your mana so you don''t absorb the whole mana in my apartment. Oh!Here''s a tip. Drink the tea first,hehe!" Tana said with a grin on his face.
"Drink the tea last? Okay!" Chris knew that Tana is planning on something and he saw how the Blue Tea emitted a chilling aura while still being hot. He won''t fall for that.
"It didn''t work!" Tana said. "Didn''t expect much though. Alright enough fooling around just drink and replenish your mana.I will also do that. My mana is almost all used up after I made the mana imprint on the bird mask and a bit on the cat mask,if it weren''t for you the cat mask would''ve fallen apart."
"Haha,that''s what I am here for!" Chris said while eating some of the herbs.
Tana sat in a meditating position and drank some Blue Tea. Chris saw that he is drinking Blue Tea without problem so he tried to drink it. He was still a bit hesitant but he drank it. He instantly regretted it! He spit the tea back into the container.
"Fuck you!" Chris said as he looked at the now grinning Tana.
"Told you that you should''ve drank it first. It becomes stronger with each herb in your body." Tana said and went back to replenishing his mana.
Inner forest area
Tana and Chris finished replenishing their mana and went onto their little adventure. Tana picked up every herb that seemed unknown and known to him. He managed to get some more Blue Leaves but no Rebirth Fruit or anything similar. There was a herb with elemental properites. Tana thought that it maybe enchances the mana with that element. It was some kind of greenish purple glow so Tana thought it was maybe poison element.
He picked the herb and went on deeper in the forest with Chris. They were both wearing their masks so they scared of the weaker monsters and beasts. They spotted a mutated deer after coming to the inner area. Tana''s mana radar can now sense 200 meteres around him. There was one aura that was double the strength than Tana and one that is the same as Tana.
Tana and Chris decided to fight the second one. That was the deer. The deer gained some green color in his brown hair. His antlers were a bit bigger than that of the other deer.
"I will distract it while you fight it. Okay?" Tana said. He didn''t want to fight the deer but wanted to see Chris''s spells.
"Okay partner!" Chris said that and waited for Tana to distract the deer.
Tana started controling his mana to summon a few spinning mana arrows and threw them around the deer. The arrows hit the ground below the deer and raised a smoke screen. As Chris saw this he rushed out of the bush they were hiding in and activated his exploding mana ball spell he created himself.

He came up close to the deer and threw the ball at the deer from 1 meter distance. The ball didn''t spin like Tana''s but it still ripped through the deer''s front right leg a bit due to the explosion. The deer had twice as much mana as Chris but it didn''t know how to control mana. It only used its instincts to fight with their mana enhanced bodies. Tana also noticed that even passive animals that didn''t attack humans before are starting to attack them. It seems that the beasts want more territory for some reason. Is there a leader commanding them?
"FucK!" Chris said while he backed away trying to stabilize his mana and making another explosive ball. At that moment a spinning 10 centimeter ball with a heat effect hit the deer''s abdomen and killed it instantly. That was Tana''s spell. He accelarated the spinning in exchange for the size. The ball ripped through the abdomen while leaving a heat effect on it.
"Wow...Partner...no,boss! You are a genius." Chris said that with a grin. He wasn''t at all suprised with the result but still said wow.
"No need to act. I think I told you that I could do something like that. Let''s take the skull and some bones and go to the other presence. Now that we know that most beasts still don''t know how to control and utilize mana we can fight the ones with more mana aswell." Tana said while using the knife to dismantle the skull and bones from the corpse.
"Right,right,but you could''ve let me finish it off!" Chris said while helping.
"You can fight the other one. I noticed that you didn''t even try with your first spell. You just wanted to test something like me right?" Tana said while finishing up
"Yes,you guessed right partner!" Chris said with another grin.
"You finished?" Tana asked while putting the skull inside the backpack. He also got the antlers. He thought about making daggers from them. The mutated deer had bigger and sturdier antlers than steel. If they were fighting from close range and not from far away they would''ve been lethaly wounded.
"Finished! Let''s go kill the stronger one now." Chris said while putting the bones in the backpack.
"Good. Let''s go!" Tana said while starting to run towards the place where the other presence is.
In a clearing inside the inner parts of the forest in the place where the other presence that Tana and Chris are hunting is a big brown bear. The bear looked like a normal bear just bigger. Alot bigger. The bear must be atleast 10 meters tall if standing on 2 feet.
The bear was currently eating a corpse of a evolved snake. The snake is completely ripped apart. The bear moved with slow movement but his strength was out of this world.
The bear felt danger and stopped eating. He looked up and saw a silhouette of a teenage boy looking around 19 years old jumping at him with two spinning mana balls in his hands. The bear wanted to defend but there was someone else attacking his abdomen area with a 3 meter big explosive ball. The ball made the bear opened its mouth and roared in pain.
Tana was aiming for this! Tana wanted to shoot the Heat ball into the mouth without destroying the upper skull. He managed to do that. But the bear was enraged now. It''s bottom skull was cracked and it''s bottom teeth are missing. The bear looked at the teenager that used a spinning ball to escape from the place.
The bear couldn''t chase after the teenager so it decided to get rid of the one that hurt its abdomen but that teenager also started running away. This one was slower so the bear chased after it. Little did it know that Tana was waiting on a tree hidden once again to use a bigger single spinning mana arrow to pierce the bear''s heart.
Chris was running to the position the agreed and when he came to the position he just stood there! He awaited the arrow to hit.
Chris was getting nervous as the arrow wasn''t hitting yet. That was because Tana waited for the perfect moment using his enhanced vision and thinking abilities. He learnt where the heart is and shot the giant spinning arrow at the bear at maximum speed. Gravity helped aswell and the arrow went faster than he thought it will go!
The bear died just seconds after!

Chapter 8 - Halfway completion of the Sword Light spell!
Inner forest area.
Tana and Chris were celebrating while starting to dismantle the fur,skin,meat and bones.
"This is no good..." Tana let out a sigh while looking at the bear skull he damaged.The lower half is cracked at many places and there is almost no way to fix it. The fur and skin at the abdomen area is also damaged due to the explosions.
"What? Who cares! Look at all the skin and fur we got! We can make protective artifacts with this and use the bones to make bone swords and make them into artifacts!" Chris said while tapping on Tana''s shoulder.
He''s right though. With the amount of skin and fur they got they would be able to make themselves atleast 4 sets of protective clothing and still have some leftover. The bones can be used to make simple bone weapons until they get some kind of metal. Tana was thinking the same as Chris but he was still a bit disappointed in his lack of care!
"Let''s finish this up and get it to my apartment without anyone noticing anything strange. Also do you plan on staying the night?" Tana asked. He wanted to know if he needs to clean the other bedroom for Chris.
"Stay the night? I was planning on living with you!" Chris answered.

A moment of silence befell... "What?" Tana asked like he didn''t hear what Chris said.
"I said I am living with you from today on!" Chris didn''t change his mind. He was serious about this.
"...really? I didn''t expect that from you." Tana said while calming himself down. He wasn''t angry but suprised. He didn''t expect the Chris he knew so well to say that. "What about your family? Did you tell them?"
"I''ll tell them when we come to the apartment. We still have some skin to get from the body and we are done. How are we going to carry the meat without the neighboors noticing the smell though?" Chris asked a good question. Bear meat smells really bad if not prepared well.
"That''s easy. We''ll use the Blue Leaves to hide the smell. We will try cooking it for dinner. I want to see if there''s a difference with normal bear meat and a mutated bear''s meat." Tana replied calmly while getting the rest of the skin. "There done!" He said and let out a long sigh.
"Let''s go then. It already afternoon we better hurry."
"No need to hurry. First put the Blue Leaves on the meat. I will carry the meat because I have a stronger body now."
"No need to brag." Said Chris as he was taking out the gathered Blue Leaves from today.
In the apartment.
"Hurry,hurry!" Chris was quietly telling Tana to hurry with the transport of the bear meat. After he put the Blue Leaves on the meat Tana got rid of the blood in the meat so it wouldn''t stink up even more. He kept a small vial of blood for the mana refining process though like he did with the bird and cat blood.
"Almost there,unlock the door." Tana replied as he threw the key to Chris.
"Alright!" Chris caught the key and unlocked the door. The turned around to help Tana with the carrying.
"Thank you." Tana said as he felt a bit lighter after Chris came to help him. Even though he has a stronger body,his body is still the same size as other humans.
"No problem partner!" Chris replied and they walked into the apartment.
After a few minutes Tana and Chris put away most of the meat into the fridge and the rest was to be used for dinner. Tana prepared the meat for dinner while Chris was watching the news. Chris knew that noone in the town knows about who the ruler of the inner forest was and he knew even more so that even if they knew they couldn''t detect him with the mana radar even if they wanted. Even Chris had trouble with detecting the bear from 30 meters afar. The only person who could detect it right now is Tana.
There was news of a man spotting a few children going through mountain paths and forests towards this area. The man didn''t see their faces but most people think it was the runaway children that made a ''guild'' called Moonlight.

"It''s done!" Tana told Chris that the dinner he was preparing is done. For dinner they are having mutated bear meat and mana replenishing herbs.
"What''s this?" Chris said while looking at the herbs.
"I wanted to test something..." Tana replied calmly.
"Right..." Chris said and sat down and started eating the bear meat. When he took the first bite he noticed there was a small refreshing and chilling feeling coming into his body. It was from the Blue Leaves! It was a bit weaker than the Blue Leaves but it replenished a bit more mana. The bear meat was juicy while not smelling at all.
If one tried to sell this in a restaurant it would be their most delicious meal. Chris didn''t dare to believe that Tana made this!
"This si too delicious! How did you make this?" Chris was curious about how he made the bear meat so delicious.
"You know how you can heal small cuts and wounds with mana?" Tana answered with a question.
"Yeah what about that?" Chris was confused.
"I actually burned the meat a few times and had to use mana to heal it back to it''s original state. If there wasn''t this method you would be eating burned meat now." Tana said while grabbing a few herbs and eating them.
The bear meat would usually smell really badly if an amateur prepared it but Tana used the mana from healing the meat to get rid of the smell completely and the meat gained a particular fragrance that only delicacies get!
"So that''s the case! Then I won''t ask anything anymore and eat." Chris said and got back to filling his mouth to the limit.
"Right...Could you eat a bit more slowly? You''re going to choke..." Tana said while looking at Chris who looked like a squirrel with stuffed cheeks .
"Awlight!" He said and started eating a bit more slowly.
When they finished eating Tana noticed that his and Chris''s mana became more pure and refined than before. Tana immediately said to Chris that he is going to his room to train and left.
Tana''s room.
While Tana is in his room trying to make his Sword Light spell even more powerful,Chris is calling his family to tell them he will stay at Tana''s place for a few weeks.
"Let''s see...Last time I could make the sword light 30 centimeters long with a slow vibrating effect...Now I can do that with the faster vibration aswell! Let me try making the sword light longer to see what is my limit now..." Tana said as he looked at the 30 centimeter long sword light become longer and longer.
His limit is 50 centimeters with fast vibration and 80 with slow vibration and a spinning effect now. This is a great accomplishment for only a few days of training. He has now finished more than half of the spell! If he could get the sword light to be longer just 50 more centimeters and add the spinning effect to it then he will be finished.
"It''s been only 3 minutes and my mana is already at the limit though...This spell takes too much of my mana to hold on for long. I have to try the spell to see if it is strong enough too. Tomorrow we are going to make weapon and clothing artifacts from today''s spoils."
Tana has put on the bird mask artifact he got and made his absorbtion speed a bit faster. He wanted to recover his mana now while he can. Tomorrow they are going to have to use a hell lot of mana for just the refining process. The imprinting process can be done later though.
" Time to sleep..." Tana said as he laid on his bed and went to sleep...

Chapter 9
In some clear meadow in an unknown place.
A boy with dark brown hair and a fit build was looking at the ground. If you looked closer you could see that his eyes showed no life even though he was breathing and you could hear his heart beat if you are close to him. The boy was wearing some kind of white shirt and brown pants.
The boy noticed someone looking at him and turned around.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" The boy asked the teenager that was standing around 100 meters away from him.
Somehow the teenager could hear him. The teenager was startled when he heard the boy speak from that far away. The teenager didn''t know what to say...He had no memory of who he was. All he knew was some weird movements he learned from somewhere.
"I-I don''t know!" The teen replied. He hoped that the brown haired kid heard him.
"You don''t know? Even though this is-No...you''re not him! Who are you? Try to remember!" The kid wanted to say something but didn''t after it saw the teenagers face.
''The teen should be around 15 years old. It isn''t him it seems...'' The kid thought and got closer to the teen without memory.
"Remember you say..." The teen without memory tried his hardest but couldn''t remember anything. Like he never even existed!
"You remembered?"
"No...I''m sorry." He replied with a sad tone.
"Weird...I never heard of someone losing his memory after coming here. Can you remember anything else? The last place you were at? The last person with whom you were talking last? Maybe family?" The brown haired kid asked. He was truly confused .
"No...I don''t have any other memories other than a set of movements from somewhere." The teen replied while he was preparing to show the brown haired kid the set of movements.
"Stop! Don''t show the movements! It''s dangerous to do anything that may seem important in here." The brown haired kid frowned after he saw the teen preparing to do the movements.
"Why? We are alone here, I don''t think there should be anyone here that can see us,right?" The teen was confused after hearing the brown haired kid''s words.
"No,we''re not alone it seems." The kid said and looked at something really far away. The one thing he noticed was that the world they were in seemed to only be meadows. There weren''t any trees. There was no day and night cycle...Nothing!
The silhouette that appeared was from a woman. An middle aged woman that looked beautiful even with a few wrinkles on her skin. Her hair was a dark azure color and her eyes were as the kid''s,completely lifeless.
"Who are you? Don''t tell me you have no memory as this guy?" The kid was cautious.
"Don''t worry,don''t worry. My name is Azure Sky. I am a...actually I don''t really know what I am. I don''t ever remember having intelligence and stuff like these right now. I don''t even remember if I ever had a name but somehow I have... I wanted to ask you about what''s happening right now but it seems that you are unaware as well...that''s too bad." The woman answered honestly. For some reason or another she was confused. Mostly because of the name! She never remembered that she had a name and now she knows it?
''What is happening? Something is wrong...This can''t be. The person whom I am sensing isn''t the woman! But it is in the same direction as the woman!'' The brown haired kid sensed three presences. One was the woman,she isn''t giving any dangerous feeling to the kid but the other two are!
"Are you alone?" The kid asked carefully trying to hide the frown he had up until now.
"I am here...with two friends." Friends? Why did she stop for a moment? The kid was even more alert now!

"Here with me." The woman smiled and two more silhouettes a black one and a grey one appeared out of nowhere behind her.
"What!?" The kid was shocked when he saw the black and grey silhouettes appear. Those weren''t humans! Those were the silhouettes of animals! A cat and a rat to be more precise.
"What? Are you scared?" The woman smiled and asked the kid. She wanted to scare him. She didn''t feel comfortable around the kid even though they were so far away from each other. She felt like the kid was smarter and more powerful than she was.
"No,just suprised. I didn''t know that you could control tho---!!" The kid wanted to say something before he realized something.
''The silhouettes were illusory! They weren''t real it seems! Why did they feel so real then? Is it because of this wierd world?'' The kid noticed this and said :
"Why of course I wasn''t suprised. Why would I be scared of someone acting all tough and mighty when they can''t even trick me?" The kid was no more worried and went all out against her. He wanted to tell her that he is the strongest among them! The teen was similar to him but he had lost his memory.
"What!?" The woman was suprised! She didn''t really think that the kid would see through the illusion! What is this kid?
"As I said...Come over here now!" The kid was angry. He didn''t like when someone was fooling him around. He hated those kinds of people the most. He didn''t know why though...
"Fuck!" The woman wanted to run away but the kid seemed like he could catch up to her. She didn''t disobey and came infront of him.
"Good...Now. Die!" The kid said and grabbed the woman''s head and crushed it with bare hands!
"W-what are you doing!?" The teen was watching the exchange from afar the whole time. He was scared. So scared that he almost fainted after seeing all the blood.
The kid still looked at the woman''s body for a few moments before the body became light and was absorbed by the kid. The kid was staring with wide eyes as he noticed something happening to his body. He was getting more and more confused at this wierd world.
The first time he came to this world he only had 1 single thing on his mind. Revenge! But now...his goal was to get stronger and find a way out of this weird world. After a few hours he noticed that there wasn''t anyone in this world.
He was getting a weird feeling of becoming weaker. Like something was absorbing his power every second. After he absorbed the light from the woman he was finally feeling stronger again. But the feeling of weakening is still there. Getting stronger every day.
"What. Was. That?" The teen was scared while looking at the kid absorbing the light.
"Huh? You''re still here...Remembered something?" The kid asked. He was planning on killing the teen if it didn''t remember anything and it showed him the movement set he was talking about.
"No..." The teen was getting nervous. The kid''s eyes changed! The kid wasn''t looking at him lifeless anymore. The kid was like a dragon and the teen felt like an small insect when the kid looked at him.
"Good..Now show me the movement set you wanted to show before the bitch showed up!" The kid was getting straight to the point...
I have no idea what I am writing honestly but I like it. This is supposed to be connected to the real plot but not the current arc. I think you know who these people are and I am not explaining anything...
Also... I will write 10 chapters this weekend. I can''t wait for that!!

Chapter 10
"What!?" The teen was frozen. He didn''t know what to do. One wrong move and he is dead! He was worried if he shows the movement set he is going to be killed soon after.
"I said...Show me the movements!" The kid raised his voice and menacingly said.
"I will, I will!" The teen didn''t want to take risks.
"Good..."
The teen started doing the movement set infront of the kid.
It is currently 9 AM and Tana just woke up. The first thing he noticed is that he was feeling fatigued.
"What the...." Tana said while checking his body temperature. "42¡ãC! How?" Tana exclaimed after checking his body temperature. Due to him having a stronger body he can still move but the feeling of fatigue is still there.
"What is happening!?" Chris heard Tana yelling and rushed to his room. Chris was awake for a few hours already.
"Look." Tana answered and showed the thermometer to Chris.
"What the!? How are you still conscious? This type of fever would make you unable to move normally!" Chris was shocked after seeing the temperature.
"I don''t know. If my guess is right it is that the viruses and bacteria managed to get some way of absorbing the mana. If that is true...I don''t know what will happen with humanity from this point onward. I could probably erase the virus from my system with body refining but what about the other humans?" Tana was getting worried and excited at the same time. Worried for the humans in his town and excited about a new discovery.
" You''re right...something like that could very likely happen. I will go prepare some herbal mixes and you stay in the bed for today,we won''t do anything today." Chris said.
"Wait! Go and check the neighboors too. We need to be sure no one got infected aswell. Also be careful around me. Wear a mask or something." Tana said while getting back to into his bed.
''What now? I need to find a way of fighting the virus. I can use body refining to kill it but then I won''t have the immunity against the virus after that. What if I endure it until my body makes some kind of immunity?'' Tana thought. If the evolution of viruses is true then they''re in for it. If not...that is even worse. If they don''t know what they''re fighting how can they make a strategy to fight it?
In the weird grassland world the teen was still demonstrating the movement set infornt of the kid. The kid had a frown on his face while looking at the movements again and again.
He couldn''t comprehend anything from these movements! The looked like some kind of martial art but they didn''t seem like something special at all!
"What the hell!" The kid yelled and threw a punch into the ground. He didn''t hold back so the ground beneath him was crushed mercilessly.
"Wh-What is it!?" The teen was startled and it stopped doing the movements. The teen managed to find out what the movement set did but the kid didn''t! This set of movements helps with the absorbtion of the energy the teen and the kid felt up until now.
They couldn''t absorb the energy before but right now the teen could! One thing was off though. Whenever the teen absorbed the energy he would feel energized at first and then uncomfortable later. Like something was stealing the energy back.

"The neighboors are alright. I think this isn''t an infection of some sort. The problem is probably in your body only." Chris told Tana after he came back.
Tana felt better for a moment but it was just for a few seconds. The mana in his body was becoming chaotic and and more and more impure!
"Chris! Get me the best quality mana replenishing herbs we have!" Tana told Chris while trying to think of a reason this is happening. He couldn''t! There was no reason this is happening! This is an anomaly! Tana thought.

After a few minutes Chris came back with all the mana replenishing herbs he could gather.
"Here eat this!" Chris said while helping Tana eat the herbs one by one. He wasn''t thinking about the side effects because what''s most important was his friend''s life not the mana purity!
After Tana ate the herbs he felt replenished for a second and then the chaos in his body seemed to have become stronger! Tana didn''t expect that and he fell unconscious...
"Tana? Hey,Tana!! Wake up man! You can''t die!" Chris was schocked when he saw Tana fall unconscious! He didn''t think the friend of his he met when he was a kid would just die like this.
He thought for a moment and then remembered a herb he didn''t use yet. The green-purple herb he and Tana thought was used to make a poison. If his guess is right and what Tana is battling isn''t a virus but a poison then he is going to fight fire with fire!
"Hope this works." Chris said while feeding Tana the green-purple herb.
What the ...fuck!? Tana was startled when he fainted. The first thing he saw was a blue sky and an almost infinite horizon infront of him. The place he was right now was infront of a light blue lake. The lake wasn''t really big. Atleast a hundred meters in diameter. He couldn''t see the bottom of it though.
He didn''t know what to do so he waited...and waited. At one time he noticed the lake becoming smaller and smaller. Like it was being drained by something. Tana wanted to try diving into the lake but he was worried about the dangers.
After waiting for more than 20 minutes tana noticed the sky becoming darker and clouds appearing above the lake. The clouds were emitting a menacing aura ever since they formed.
"What...is that?" Tana said while looking for cover.

So...an unexpected thing happened...I broke my arm while riding my bike.
This chapter was a pain in the ass to write with a broken arm! Also.. I will take a break for a few weeks until my arm heals. Or I will just find someone to write until I heal up.
