 Chapter 1-Long Zhang

    ¡°DONG SENG YOU BASTARD WHERE THE F*CK ARE YOU!¡± I was yelling from the top of my lungs as I was being chased through a forest by a legion of lvl 23 werewolves. ¡°IF YOU DON¡¯T HELP ME NOW YOU CAN FORGOT ABOUT THAT HOMEWORK!¡±


    Ok so before I even start to tell my wonderful adventures let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Long Zhang and I am your everyday average virgin sixteen year old kid. I am 5¡¯6 but I usually tell people I¡¯m 5¡¯7. That little inch makes all the difference with the ladies so I heard. I liked basketball until I joined the varsity team in high school and I warmed the bench nicely for my fellow peers. After 16 games of bench warming I quit and decided to pursue other sports. I still play and kick ass on the courts through just saying. I joined the tennis team next. I must say for a beginner I was pretty good in tennis. My father on the other hand didn''t think so and called me a pussy which pretty much destroy my self esteem and I quit. I don''t remember if football was next or soccer but it was one of those. In football I got decimated. In soccer after one practice I could barely walk so it was not the sport for me. The one thing that has been constant throughout my life is martial arts. My parents thought I needed something to protect myself so they signed me up for it since I was 6.


    My best friend is Dong Seng. I usually call him Dongdong which annoys the hell out of him but I find it funny and it makes it happy looking at him suffer a bit. I know I¡¯m evil right? Well if you have a friend that is 6 feet tall, athletic, incredible good looking and gets all the girls I would think you would enjoy it a bit too. Did you know that some of the girls even wrote a book about him and nicknamed him the white knight? What kind of crazy fan girl does that? What made it worse was I was nicked named the dark goblin. Like wtf? My looks may be average but it was still better than a goblin. I wouldn''t mind if I was nicknamed the dark bunny but the dark goblin is going a bit to far isn''t it? Basically I don''t even remember how we became best of friends.


    Is there anything else that I should talk about? Oh yes I remember now I got a C+ in my modern Chinese class. I failed in grammar so I am forced to write a log about my life each week and this is how it all started.


    Nope! I lied this was not how it all started. It all started with my first love. Her name was Wenxin Zhou and she is so beautiful that if you took even a glance at her you would be in heaven. I was lucky enough to be with her since Kindergarten. She is 5¡¯5, athletic, smart, beautiful, kind, sometimes a bit dorky, wears pink pansies, beautiful, and did I mention 5¡¯5? For a sixteen year old she has a nice rack if I do say so myself. Furthermore she is the Princess of our school and basically have a legion of minions following her around. I lied its not a legion but a whole f*cking army. Excuse my language but some girls even turn lesbian because of her. No offense to all the lesbians of the world because I get turn on by you ladies in certain videos. Anyway a bit off topic but basically if she told you to die you would obey it like a message from God or Goddess in this case. So yeah it''s an unrequited love.


    Alright so enough about all this and lets get on with the story. It all started about a week ago or maybe two weeks ago. I was in school like usual. I go to Tiandi high school. It is one of the most elite high school in the Fujian province. Oh by the way this the date is January 12, 3016. I live in the United Province of China. Back to the story. My first class in the morning was AP calculus and did I mention I love math? Well I do.


    Wenxin walks into math class with her girl friends as graceful and beautiful as always. Her hair was tied up into a pony tail. So adorable I just want to give her a hug. Sigh. The whole class¡¯s attention was also on her. The guys were basically drooling like wolves and the nerds were nose bleeding. I was in my seat all cool and barely paying her any attention at all. Yeah I know I am awesome. Nope, I was like all the other guys drooling over her but unlike the other guys I have a playboy friend that taught me some tricks. I was looking out the window but there is a reflection in the window that gave me the perfect view of her.

    Did I tell you I love math class? Well I will say it again I loovvvvveee math class.


    ¡°Hey Long,¡± a chubby boy said. This chubby boy is Mapodofu. His parents has a weird sense of humor and named him after their favorite tofu dish. Yeah, I know. I feel really bad for him. If I had parents like that I would rather be homeschooled and block all contact with civilization. Maybe that is a bit extreme.


    ¡°Whats up?¡± I replied back.


    ¡°Did you get the answer¡­¡± I zoned out right there because my ears picked up a really interesting conversation over at Wenxin¡¯s section.


    ¡°Hey Wenxin have you heard of the new virtual reality game that is coming out from the Heavenly corporation?¡± One of Wenxin¡¯s friend said. This would be Cindy Yen talking. She was the number two beauty in the school. Her looks only lost to Wenxin by a 0.001 percent. Talk about close.


    ¡°Yes!¡± Wenxin squeals like a fan girl, ¡°they say that it will have 99 percent realism and you can create your own skills and such in the game. This game took over 30 years to make and that over 1000 Physicist, martial artist, and all the professions you can think of in the world together to make this game. I can¡¯t wait until it comes out next week!¡±


    ¡°Did they release the title of the game yet?¡± another girl asks.


    ¡°No, it is a top guarded secret. I have no idea why through,¡± another girl answers in disbelief.


    I found the conversation interesting but the problem is I have no idea what they are talking about. I know what they are saying orally but you see I have never played a virtual reality game before in my life. Maybe a couple times when I was over at my friend¡¯s house but aside from that no. Virtual reality has been a thing since 2138. When the first helmet came out in 2016 by Oculus rift it was a bit lacking. It was all the rage back then but it quickly became a fad because well it was too weak. The realism was lacking by quite a bit. It was similar to walking into a 3D room so I have heard. It wasn''t until someone invented the brain sensors that it became really exciting. Basically these sensors pick up on certain wavelengths in your brain and alone your body to move in the game the  same way. They manage to perfect this by 2138 and thats why it was all the rage. The sad part was you still had to be awake for it. Well, 878 years has passed since then and it was finally perfected 60 years ago. We are now able to fully dive into the game and our brain in reality will be unconscious but our minds will be fully conscious in game. My parents are really strict about that stuff. Especially since after they watched a documentary about the possibility of your brain being fried, being trapped and everything negative about it.


    ¡°You know whoever is number one in the game I think I would be love with him,¡± Wenxin jokes.. She was probable imagining some Knight in shiny armors on a white steed riding along and scooping her up off her feet like a real princess.


    My years perked up and my brain was fried.


    ¡°What if he is ugly like a pig?¡± Cindy asks in a joking way.


    ¡°Well¡­. I¡¯m sure he won¡¯t be that ugly.¡±


    ¡°Well what if he is? Oh and he is fat, gross and everything?¡±


    ¡°Um number two then?¡± Wenxin shrugs awkwardly.


    My looks are average. I wouldn''t say I am gross. I am physically fit, and pretty smart to be in this school. My little dragon is also decent size so I should be fine right?


    ¡°Class sit down we will began now,¡± said our math teacher. I forgot his name. Most of the kids here just call him Mr. M.

    That day when I got out of school I immediately gave my best friend Dong Seng a call.


    ¡°Hey Dongdong what are you up too,¡± I said over the phone in a happy tone.


    ¡°Long I told you to stop calling me that,¡± he answers in an annoyed voice.


    ¡°Hey you know those virtual reality games that you¡¯ve been playing?¡±


    ¡°Yeah what about it?¡±


    ¡°I heard there is a new game coming out and I wanna give it a try,¡± I said in the most serious of tone.


    ¡°I thought your dad hates all that virtual reality stuff?¡±


    ¡°Yeah but who cares what my dad thinks. He always have a problem with everything I do,¡± I said. Thinking back my dad has never once praised me for anything I do. I remember in middle school when I got all A+ except in Chinese which was an A. Instead of saying great job Long all I heard was ¡°why no the A plus in Chinese. Why only A?¡± Then there was a long rant about how only the best of the best gets a job in this economy. Well, I guess I can understand where he was coming from through. Then one day in 8th grade I got into a car accident. I was rushed to the Hospital and needed a blood transfusion. He asks the doctor what blood type I was. The doctor replied B positive. He looks at me with this disappointed look in his eyes that made me feel so worthless at that time. Thankfully my mom gave him a good scolding and I laughed about it afterwards. Anyway back to the conversation.


    ¡°It¡¯s not about Wenxin again is it?¡±


    ¡°What do you mean?¡± I asked innocently.


    ¡°Well last month,¡± his voice dragged on, ¡°you heard Wenxin said she was going to sign up for the gym and you just so happen to also forced me to sign up with you the day after.¡±


    ¡°This time its different,¡± I pointed out.


    ¡°How?¡±


    ¡°She said and I quote word for word that unless the number one guy in the game is butt ugly to the point where it could break mirrors, and lives just by walking down the street she will love that person.¡±


    Pow! I heard on the other side of the phone. It was probable him face palming himself at how much of a genius I am. Still I wonder how he stays this good looking considering how many times he has done that before.


    ¡°Can¡¯t you be like any normal guy and try to talk to her? Then confess?¡±


    ¡°HELL NO! I¡¯m not trying to get rejected,¡± I bellowed into the phone.


    ¡°And thats why your still a virgin.¡±


    ¡°Wow! That is low. Really low right there,¡± I sobbed in the corner.


    ¡°Fine!¡± Dong Seng said giving in, ¡°what do you need?¡±


    ¡°I need you to help me order a helmet and that new game from the Heavenly Corporation,¡± I said with a 180 reverse of mood. (Happy mood)


    ¡°It is going to cost you,¡± he said.


    ¡°Sure how much?¡±


    ¡°Lets see. The helmet itself is 800$ for 128 gb or 1000$ for 256 gb which one do you want?¡±


    ¡°I¡¯ll take the cheap one 800$ who needs 256 gb for virtual reality anyway?¡±


    ¡°The game itself is 100$ plus 20$ subscription a month.¡±


    ¡°Ok¡­¡±


    ¡°And there is a 6 month plan for 120 or a year plan for 200$ even. They give you a 40$ discount if you sign up for a year.¡±

    I was crying inside. Its like being tied up and watching your own house get robbed.


    ¡°One more thing I need to tipped 100$.¡±


    ¡°Ugh. Ok. Its for my future,¡± I said gritting my teeth. This was basically everything I had saved up in my bank from new years and such. Secretly saved up anyway. My parents took everything else to save up for my college tuition, fees and  etc.


    ¡°Come meet me at Mcburgers and i¡¯ll give you the money,¡± I said a little bit unwillingly.


    ¡°Long buddy you could just talk to her and you wont need to go through all this trouble ya know?¡±


    ¡°Not everyone is 6 feet tall, and have the blessing of the Gods,¡± I replied in jealously.


    ¡°Fine, fine, fine, but if you don¡¯t get her by the end of senior year its my turn,¡± he said in a gleeful voice.


    We have a brothers code where we will not interfere in each other¡¯s personal business. Meaning if he dates I girl I will not interfere or anything. Well its not like I could anyway. Its more like his way of looking out for me. Dong also promised two years ago that he will not go after Wanxin until after we graduate. Basically meaning if you can¡¯t get with her in high school then college is a distant dream.


    ¡°She¡¯s not that kind of girl anyway,¡± I said glumly.


    ¡°Haha whatever. Are you coming over later? I can help you get into virtual reality mode.¡±


    ¡°Wish I can but my dad has something for me to do plus my mom will probable beat my ass if I don''t finish my homework.¡±


    ¡°Alright bro, I¡¯ll catch you in PE tomorrow.¡±


    ¡°Later.¡±


    I hung up the phone and got on the bus for the ride home. I took a seat in the back and nearly zoned out. The ride was about 40 minutes long with all the stop and traffic.


    When I finally got home it was 3 o clock. My house was decent size. We have a garage, and two floors. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, two living rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 laundry room, and 1 office. We would be considered in the upper middle class family. My parents make about 350,000 a year together. So I don¡¯t really lack money but my parents are very strict about it through. I have never once asked my parents for money and they have never once even tried to give me any aside from when I was in middle school and junior high. Well, they gave me money for lunch and that was it. Plus my dad just opened up a new restaurant and needs me to help out down there today. What sucks is I don¡¯t even get paid minimum wage of 10 dollars an hour working there. I get 3 dollars an hour and they keep telling me the other 7 is going towards my college fund.


    Whippeeee! I guess.(sarcasm)


    When I got home I opened the door and went upstairs. My room is still a mess like aways. It is messy but clean if that makes any sense to you. Basically it means my clothes are everywhere and I have no idea where most of my stuff are half the time but it is clean. Not dirty but clean. My dirty clothes are in the dirty pile but my clean clothes are in the clean pile. Then there is everything else. I pulled out some black pants and a vet to wear since I am a waiter today. I don¡¯t know if other people do this when you have strict parents but waitering is my favorite job in the restaurant. Especially when I get to slip an extra twenty to thirty of my tips in my pocket before my parents take seventy percent of it. I have the feeling my mom knows but kept quiet about. I might as well tell you what happened today because I thought it was interesting and it might be funny to you guys.

 Chapter 3-Good Tips

    Alright, so my dad sent one of his employees to come pick me up. I got to the restaurant around 3:45. Changed into my waitering uniform and checked myself out in the mirror. Black pants, and a black collar shirt with the restaurant logo on it. My hair was gelled to the side a bit and I must admit I am pretty good looking. I might have a bit of a narcissist side to me but hey its call self confidence.


    After that I walked out of the bathroom and into my station. The restaurant is divided into 5 sections with two waiters or waitresses at each section. Each section has 10 tables with a total of 50 tables. The restaurant is fancily decorated. Most of the decorations were white. There is a fish aquarium in the wall at the back that showcase all our seafood such as lobster, fish, shrimp and so on. Think of it as an upper middle clan restaurant.


    ¡°Hey Ai,¡± I greeted. She¡¯s the waitress partnering with me tonight. She is 25 this year and is pretty good looking if I do say so myself. If Wenxin was a ten then she be an 8. Anyway it was around 7 o clock when a party of VIPs were seated at my section. My dad pulled my to the side and told me in his sturdiest voice, ¡°Long make sure that table is served well or KACHA!¡± He even moves his hand across his neck.


    ¡°I¡¯ll will take care of them perfectly,¡± I replied.


    I walked back to the table and began to serve them their drinks. Some people order the Scorpion Bowl for two, some blue Hawaii, some Peke and rum, and a whole bunch of other drinks. The bartender was literally sweating iron balls making these drinks. Especially with my dad being up their ass about it.Going hurry, hurry, hurry. Like please just shut up.


    It took about 10 to 15 minutes to bring about 40 people their drinks. Ai then took their food order. I stood to the side and watch them. They were all wearing suits and dresses like they were some corporate high ups.


    They were chatting to themselves laughing and enjoying themselves.


    ¡°I can¡¯t believe it took 30 years to make one game,¡± a chubby asian in a black suit about 5¡¯8 laughs out heartily.


    ¡°Haha this was the Ceo¡¯s biggest dream for virtual reality games. All those other ones we made before were just fluff,¡± another man answers.


    ¡°True, true, true, can¡¯t fight with that,¡± the chubby asian laughs.


    When I heard game my ears perked up. Vibrate. Vibrate. Vibrate. I wanted to listen more but my wrist watch was vibrating tell me that my customer¡¯s food is ready. Due to have no choice I went into the kitchen with Ai to grab the food.


    They sure order some fancy food.


    I got back and stood near one of the walls watching and waiting to see if they need help.


    ting ding ding. One of the man stood up and used a spoon to hit the glass.


    ¡°Everyone thank you for all your hard work these past few years and for putting up with our Ceo¡¯s pet peeves,¡± this began. ¡°I want to announce that thinks to all your hard work the very first 99% realism game will be on the market next week. I would also like to tell you that the first 1 million copies of the game has been sold.¡±


    ¡°WHAT ALL SOLD OUT?!¡± I screamed in my mind.


    ¡°Furthermore another 28 million are already preorder to be sent out before the opening next week. This sets a world record of most preordered game in the world. Right now we have set a world record for the world most preordered game!¡±


    I was to busy doing the math in my head to listen to the rest of the applause and so on. 29 million was sold at 100$ a drive. So that is 2.9 billion. Furthermore if we assume everyone signs up for the 200$ a year plan then that is 5.8 billion. Add those together it comes out to 8.7 billion. That was an astonishing amount. Plus China has a population of 1.6 billion and there are about 400 million virtual reality gamers in this country. 5 Million of those are gamers. Meaning they play games to earn money for a living. If 400 million all play this game wouldn''t they be making 120 billion a year? I only know all this because I did one of my history research essays on this. (the amount they are using is similar in value to our current currency).


    One of the guys raised his hand and I walked over.


    ¡°Hey can you get me another scorpion bowl for two? Make it stronger,¡± he winks.


    ¡°Ok sir,¡± I replied and puts in the drink into the computer. Then I walk over to the bartender and told them to hit up the alcohol a few notches.


    When they were done I brought it over to them. Another person ordered another drink and I put the drink in too.


    An hour passed and they were drinking and partying like there was no tomorrow. Eventually they were all looking very lethargic. This might have been my fault. I told the bartender to hit it up a few notches for the scorpion bowl for two but I guess he thought I meant for all my drink so he basically double the alcohol in all the drinks. He probable thought my dad wanted him to do this to please this party. One of the girls was sway back and forth with a manhattan in her hand. She took other sip and was KOed and fell over onto another guys lap. Luckily he was knocked out from the drinks too but somehow he was moving his hips. Pervert.


    I took a glance at the bill and it was two thousand five hundred thirty-seven dollars and sixty-nine cents. Wow I thought. Just wow. Oh well better be a good tipper b*tch I need someone to pay for my soon to be virtual reality gaming.

    ¡°No, that day is gonna be busy as hell,¡± Jorge mutters.


    ¡°Ugh, I don¡¯t want to the virtual stabilizing,¡± the freckle asian kept grumbling.


    ¡°That sucks. Good news is I get to enter the opening scene for the first game,¡± Jorge laughs.


    ¡°Wait you got picked to control one of the God level accounts?¡± another person said.


    ¡°Nah, I¡¯m one of the soldiers thats gonna be battling the new players,¡± Jorge laughs.


    ¡°Haha I think the Ceo might be playing one of the nine God accounts,¡± another person came into this conversation.


    This is getting interesting I thought. They all looked so drunk that when I walked over there they didn''t even react.


    I deepened my voice and said, ¡°so whats so special about this opening?¡±


    ¡°Oh, well this opening is unlike other games. The 10 percent of players that survives the longest will receive a special weapon to start their game. The one hundred players that survives the longest will receive a God tier pet egg. The weapons are not even that special to be honest. It is just 5 to 10 stats higher than the normal start out weapon. Aim for the egg my friend aim for the egg.¡±


    He is clearly drunk I thought.


    ¡°Does the 100 people that get an egg get the weapons too?¡±


    ¡°Nahh!¡± another drunk answers. ¡°CEO wants to be fair so he decided that you can only get one advantage.¡±


    ¡°Oh cool,¡± I was taking advantage of this to get as much help out of this as possible since all of they were pretty much dead drunk. ¡°So when you begin the game what should be the first thing you do?¡±


    ¡°Practice getting your stats up. Joooooiiiiiinnnnnn,¡± he was beginning to sway, ¡°aaaaaaaaa ddddddooooojjjjjoooo.¡± He said and fell onto another guy¡¯s lap. This guy began to move his hip too. I wanted to take a video of this but if I did I would really be KACHA by my dad.


    ¡°What class should I pick for the best beginning,¡± I continued to ask.


    ¡°It doesn''t really matter,¡± a drunk girl answers. ¡°All the the class has their their own advantages. Read the guide moron.¡±


    That was rude, I thought but it did not stop me, ¡°are there any special classes that I can get in the game?¡±


    Then a guy woke up and said, ¡°I think in the beginning villages if you go and speak with a poor looking gardner outside the village he has a special class you can get. I think there are a couple requirements you must meet before you do or else the quest can¡¯t be activated.¡± After he finished he fell back to sleep.


    There was a tap on my shoulder. I thought it was my father so my body naturally went stiff out of fear. Did he hear everything just now?


    ¡°What are you doing?¡± a beautiful voice whispers in my ears. It was Ai. My body instantly relaxed.


    ¡°Oh nothing I was just asking if they want any more drinks. It seems not,¡± I replied.


    ¡°Karaoke!?¡± one drunk guys shouts, ¡°Anyone!?


    ¡°Can we give them their bills now?¡± I asked Ai.


    ¡°Sure they look done to me.¡±


    I went back to the computer and printed out their slip and gave it to the guy that gave the speech earlier. He seems to be the boss. I gave him the tab but sadly he was knocked out cold. Probable should have toned down on the drinks I suppose.


    Eventually we got it figured out and someone came down to pay the bill for them. Ai and I got a nice 700$ tip. We split it 350 each. Somehow my parents have spidey senses or something and came swooping down taking 300 of it. I cried inside. Since they are my parents I could not complain. Oh well at least I got some good tips about the game. I think aside from the beta testers I got the biggest advantage. I am so dumb I forgot to ask for the title of the game.


    Furthermore I want to state something. I did not purposely gave them extra alcohol in their drinks and hoped to get them so drunk that they would answer my questions without suspicion. I am not that smart and maniacal. It was all a coincident that I took advantage of. Furthermore everyone believes I am 18 so I could serve drinks to the adults. Plus if any problems come out talk to my dad I was forced. Just for records you know.

 Chapter 4-VRP Card

    For the next six days I basically studied up on virtual reality games. I even went over to my friend Dongdong¡¯s house multiple times to try out some of his older virtual reality game. The ones I played were single player games. Therefore I did not need a personal account to play. I also didn''t have my personal virtual reality identity card yet. So I could not just go to any gaming store to play.


    Furthermore six days ago the day after my waitering, I went to a gaming store to make a VRP card or a Virtual Reality Player card. This card is used to identify a player online. It will use a DNA sequence, body scanner, brain wave activity and finger print to verify your identity online. Next you fill out some questions, social security and a password and passcode you want to set up. After that the store will sent all this information to the Virtual reality government headquarters to make you a special card this is very specific to you. Somewhat like a super drivers license for online gaming. This is for the protection of all the players online. It decreases the chance of virtual reality crime. Such as hacking and stuff. Furthermore due to hacking getting out of control a couple centuries back the government basically forced internet providers to lock out any users that don¡¯t use an identity card when they use the internet. Therefore they change the computers to add a slot of identity cards. It is just not as secure as the VRP card but still much more secure than passports and license. Without those cards people cannot get online. Furthermore if whatever identity you made up does not match something on the data base you automatically kicked off. It made it much harder for hackers to do their thing. Anyway enough of this history lessons.


    Back to today. Tomorrow my game arrives and the day after is the game opening day. Furthermore today I am getting my VRP card. I am extremely excited but I have to watch the mail careful so my parents don¡¯t see it. Its weird how my parents can make something so legal feel like a drug deal going down. I called out of work and said that I have lot of homework and such to get out of work.


    Also they have just released the name of the game today. The game is called Ascension. I can feel my guys exploding just thinking about it. It is 4:15 right now and still hasn''t arrived yet. I¡¯m like a puppy right now at the door waiting for my master to return home.


    Swoosh. Pf pf.


    A UPCPS drone pulls up. Just incase you wondering what UPCPS stands for it stands for United Province of China Postal Services. Most of out males are done by drones not. The drone saw me and flew over to me. Then a beam of light scans me.


    ¡°Long Zhang confirmed,¡± a robotic voice sounds out. ¡°Here is your mail. Thank you for using our services have a good day.¡±


    The drone drops off a piece of mail onto my hand and flew away. I opened it up and it was my VRP card. It is dark black with my picture and information on it. If you glance at it from the side it turns completely black. This is cool I thought.


    Quickly I got out my phone and gave a call to Dong Seng, ¡°Dong I got my Virtual Reality Player card,¡± I shout excitedly. Well its more of a whisper shout if you know what I mean.


    ¡°Cool! You wanna come over right now?¡±


    ¡°Hell yeah.¡±


    I went down to my basement and got out my bike. Yes people in the 3000s still ride bikes. Its cheap and a good exercise believe it or not. Plus Dong only lives 10 houses down and I didn''t feel like walking. I locked my house doors and activated the alarms got on my bike and rode. Only to realize my sisters and brothers are coming back in ten minutes and I have to cook for them. So to fix that I called up Domino hut pizza and ordered some pizzas and charged it on my debit card.


    It was only a couple minute ride to Dong¡¯s house.

    Quickly we went into his room and apparently he also set up a bed for me. What a nice friend he is I thought.

    ¡°Oh lets get started I can¡¯t wait. The game is coming tomorrow right?¡± I asked.


    ¡°Yeah I got a buddy of mine to make sure yours was sent on time. Especially after you told me about the event I can¡¯t possible not make that a priority.¡±


    ¡°So what do you think we should do,¡± I asked.


    ¡°Don¡¯t know lets get you set up first.¡±


    I opened the box and a football size helmet was in my hand. It was very futuristic looking with those lens across the eye area. When I put it on my head and a lock sound was made and it powered itself up. After that I inserted my VRP card. Then something covered half my nose and up. Not a single speck of light entered my eyes. It felt like I was blind folded. After that I think I fell asleep because the next thing I knew was that I was sitting in a digital chair that I must admit was really comfortable. A screen also appears in front of me.


    It was asking me to verify a bunch of my information. After what seem like forever I finished verifying all the questions. It was about 15 minutes to be exact.


    Next opened up a tutorial tab on the screen. Dong Seng helped me with this earlier thats why I am able to navigate through this so easily. Once I opened up the tutorial tab a list came out.

    I clicked on Free Room Practice and the scenery began to change. It looks like I was at a skate park. I began to run around in here doing tricks and stuff. Parkour stuff. It was quite boring.

    It is going to be pretty boring to describe what I am doing today so lets skip today and go onto tomorrow.


    After school Dong gave me a call saying that my game has arrived. I rushed over to get it. Oh one more thing we don¡¯t use CDs anymore rather now everything is on flash drives. I told him to help me load it so when I got there I can just put in my card and I am ready to go.


    It took about a two minute bike ride to get there so I don¡¯t really know if he actually finished downloading the game onto the helmet. The next question you are probable asking is why do I have my valuable 864 dollar helmet at his house. Well, my dad hates virtual reality stuff so I have to hide it.


    When I got to Dong¡¯s house it turns out he already downloaded the game before he called me. What a great guy I thought.


    I got on his side bed and logged on. There are preliminary stuff I have to do before the game begin tomorrow. One thousand fricken questions. Half of those questions they already had the answers too such as name, age, height, blah, blah blah. Some questions were probable targeted at my psyche. Such as favorite color, tell or don¡¯t tell if your friend or family commits a crime, whats your favorite word, whats your favorite word, and favorite species. I think I wrote elf for that last question. Anyway there is a lot of f ing questions excuse my language. Anyway it took about four to five hours to answer. I am really questioning whether people would play this game or not. Just these thousands of questions were already a turn off. Anyway after spending 5 hours answering questions I saw my an alert screen pop up.

 Chapter 5-Let the Game Begin

    So thats how they do it. I was wondering what they do when their body needs to pee. Anyway I logged off and went to the bathroom. Afterwards I said goodbye to Dong Seng I left for my house. Tomorrow just so happened to be Friday. The good news is the game opening is at 12am at night so I can just be like I am going over to Dong¡¯s house to sleep tonight.


    Skip through the whole Friday¡¯s event since there were nothing note worthy to talk about. Anyway it is 11:30 at night and Dong and I both used the bathroom before we entered the game.


    Several minutes passed by and then in bright red the word Ascension appeared in my vision. I watched the long introduction of random instructions before I received an in game notification.


    Storyline Quest

    The six species of this continent have gone to war with each other, the humans, elves, Beastmans, Demons, undead and lastly the Plantaenoids. You can pick your species now and will later join the army that you choose.

    So everyone already knows what the human class is since it is basic knowledge. Basically the human class is the most balance of the five. Elves have low attack and defense but high speed, endurance and magic. Beastman has high attack, defense, endurance, but extremely weak on magic. Demons stat wises are high in attack, magic, speed and medium in defense but their stats are decreased by 30 percent in the day time but a ten percent increase at night. The undead on the other hand has a stats that are lower than the humans but they have a special regeneration ability. The Plantaenoids are high in defense, magic, and endurance. They have medium attack but will receive double damage from fire attacks. Water and plant attacks will have their effects, and damage reduced by 50 percent.


    All these informations were release two days ago so I have already thought of the race. Originally I was going to pick the human race but it seems to cliche and boring just like the elves race. Furthermore I don¡¯t like the beastman race no offense to them. Also the undead race is too ugly for me if I want to impress Wenxin. Being a plant kind of weirds me out so I decide upon the demon race.


    Your probable thinking hey wouldn''t it be better to pick the same race as the girl you like? Since you would have more in common and things to talk about. That was my line of thought too until Dong convinced me that a girl like Wenxin will friend zone you in seconds if you try to go the we have things in common route. Rather intrigue her a bit with a different race and give yourself a bit of a mystery.


    Thus I decided on the demon race furthermore the demon race has higher stats than the other races but the thirty percent reduction in stats will be annoying but at least at night time will have a 10 percent increase in stats.Technically speaking there is only about 6 to 7 hours of true daylight and 6 to 7 hours of night time and then the rest is neutral time.


    I clicked on the demon option and my body began to dematerialize and reform. The system reconstructed my body and face with demonic features. My skin became a shade darker and my iris turns bright purple. A black diamond shape figure also emerged on my forehead and there were a bunch of black lines around my body. Then the system asks me if I wanted a tail and a horn.


    I don¡¯t really want the tail so I decided not to get the tail. As for the horn I had to seriously think about it. I decided not to get the horn at the end. I didn''t want any issues to come up with helmet equipments just incase I had a horn and the drop does not allow horns. With my luck I had a feeling that would happen.


    After I finished the system prompt me to because a username. I tried my name Longz but it was taken. Then I tried Fallen Hero but that was taken too. Then I tried Enilitaken but that was clearly taken too.


    Bunny? Taken.


    Dragonlord123? Taken.


    Shadow wind? Taken.


    Pikachu? Taken.


    Lolurondrugsbro? Taken.


    WTF? Taken.


    Farticus? Taken. Who the hell even takes that?


    After trying 20 more names in 4 to 5 minutes I finally found a name that wasn''t taken.

    Swoosh. I was transported in the next second to the waiting room. This waiting room was basically your own personal data room. It is a room where you can watch movies and stuff. Anyway I thought it was pretty genius of the admins to put in stay alive. Since if I didn''t get that tip before I would be like every other player that will be charging into battle to get that so call distributed reward.


    I opened up my tab to check my stats.

    These stats were not that bad but I have a feeling it would change after the game starts. Since I have not selected my class yet. In this game there is something special about selecting class. You can select any class you want and use can use any weapon you want. It is the buffs that you have to worry about. For example a swordsman can use magic but the problem is that swordsman using magic will be significantly weaker than a mage using magic. Another example would be a mage using a bow and arrow. A mage using an arrow will not have the accuracy, and attack buff that an archer class would have.


    Anyway for 30 minutes I caught up on some shows that I was watching before. It was a Korean drama that I don''t want to get into right now.


    At 12:30 I was teleported into the front line of an army. The sun was bright. I was holding a shield and sword in my hand. It seems I was in my war uniform. I looked around and saw thousands of other players around me. If I am to guess then I would say there are at least 100,000 thousand players in this army. I looked around some more and it seems we are on a plain with no trees to cover ourselves. There really is no place to hide and survival would be a lot of luck. There were also about 100,000 npc troops too.


    I pulled up my stats again but this time I was just checking the up portion.

    It seems that these items added some stats.


    I began to swing the sword to get some familiarity with it.


    BAOOOOOOOOOOOO! A war horn sounded.

    ¡°HEAVEN¡¯S TROOP CHARGE!¡±  the human general shouted.


    ¡°EARTH LEGION CHARGE!¡± the elf leader shouted.


    ¡°BROTHERS AND SISTERS CHARGE!¡± the beastman general shouted.


    ¡°MY FELLOW UNDEAD SLAVES CHARGE!¡± the undead leader shouted too. He seems to be a necromancer.


    ¡°SOLAR LEGION ONWARD!¡± a sweet melodic voice swept through the land.


    All six sides army charged in. It seems to be a three sided war. Demons and undead verses elves and Plantaenoids, verses Humans and Beastmans.


    The demon army charged forward in a courageous war cry. No f*cks were given at all.


    (So it was a bit weird this chapter. I was wondering if someone can teach me to use the blue screen thing that I see on other peoples vr stories. Thank you for reading so far)

 Chapter 6-Pa! Papapapapa!

    I on the other hand slowly backed away since I knew the truth to this whole event. Arrows flew and some unlucky players were KOed in an instant before they even had a chance. Sucks for you I thought. Anyway I kept going backwards.


    Thump! I backed up to an NPC troops.


    ¡°Little demon why are you not moving forward?¡± the npc soldier asks.


    I didn¡¯t know whether my respond will work or not since unless these soldiers are controlled by a player I doubt he can respond accordingly. Furthermore demons are a prideful bunch so if I were to reply with the words scared, or anything similar to that I will probable be slain on the spot.


    ¡°Oh magnificent sir I have an important news I must deliver to the general. If will be the cost between life and death for our soldiers,¡± I said with resolution. It was complete and utter bull but hey.


    ¡°Then hurry up and get your ass going!¡± this npc soldier roared.


    I can honestly say I did not expect that response.


    ¡°Alright sir!¡± I answered back and ran as far back as possible. Due to my martial art practices I managed to slip through the cracks of these soldiers. It seems as long as I don''t touch them I will be questioned for my cowardly retreat. Furthermore as I retreated it seems that I was getting to higher ground and was able to see more of the battle field.


    I looked outward toward the battle field and what I saw sent a brutal chill throughout my body. It was similar to a real war situation. Blood was spraying everywhere and the expressions on the npc soldiers and players represented many expressions I have seen in war videos and movies. Some of the players  were actually crouching on the floor rocking back and forth sucking on their thumb begging for their mommy. Ok I might be over exaggerating a bit since I can¡¯t hear that far but they were crouching on the floor and was getting trampled on by players and npc alike.


    While that was true I also saw some notable players. They were trashing all the Npc and players coming their way like war Gods. They were too far away so I couldn''t get a read on their gamer ID but as players and npc came at him he would move so swiftly and aggressively that they don''t stood a chance. Furthermore his armors were a little different from everyone else too. There were at these 8 of these people on the field from what I saw. There could be more but those were the only ones I noticed. Remind me not to mess with them in the game.


    I began to move back again. Without me noticing I was at the back of the army and the demon general with his scary face and his horn and tail was staring at me. I stared back. I noticed this was a player controlled general.


    ¡°Dark Bunny why are you back here and not at the front of the line?¡± this general asked. I looked up and saw his name. It is General Triparta.


    I pretended not to notice that he was probable an admin controlled account and replied with, ¡°Oh great General Triparta.¡± (I tried to pronounce it but I don''t think I got it right.) ¡°I have something to report to the Great General Triparta.¡±


    ¡°Oh what would that be¡± he mused.


    ¡°Great General the human are attacking at a rapid pace and will annihilate us real soon so I suggest that one of the great General lead us,¡± I said. I have no idea where that came from and the human side was winning since they had more players in the army than all the rest.


    ¡°Then what are you still doing here?¡± he said and kicks me. A white zero appeared above my head as I soar through the sky like a pig that just grew wings.


    Boom! I landed in the middle of the army and a bright red number appeared above my head.

    Thats eighty percent of my life gone I thought in astonishment. I got up and dusk myself off. I only had 69 points of life left. I checked my bag hoping for a potion and luckily there was. They gave me three healing potions and three mana potions. One healing potion heals 200 life and the mana potions were 100 mana each. Thus I drink the whole healing potion and 200 hundred of my life was restored.


    Thank the Gods that kick was not in an arch shape but rather a beam. Five to ten minutes has passed in this war and there were still people go strong at it. Another two minute went by.

    As the army marched forward so did I. I managed to escape most of the battles but after another 10 minutes half of the players were gone.


    As the time dwindles it become harder for me to hide within the army. Then from the corner of my eyes I saw an arrow flying towards me. I reacted by jumping to the side but somehow I still had taken 5 points of damage even through I dodged it by a whole feet. This is probable due to the dodging stats that they gave us.


    Eventually there were 300,000 players left and I was one of those with zero kills.

    ¡°You human scums come out and fight,¡± the demon General Triparta yelled across the battle field. He came charging out and so the demon army followed. I ran to a rock.


    ¡°You lowly Demon come and meet your grandpa,¡± the human general shouted back. They locked into battle. It seems that their level is really high and area attacks killed a bunch of us players and NPC. Good news is that I stayed as far away as possible and was hiding under a rock.


    The other players began to back away from the fight and the elf general fired an AOE attack. AOE means Area of Effect. Thousands of arrows that could block out a sun came pouring down on them. Looking at this both General¡¯s eyes ran deep into their sockets.


    The demon General Triparta activated some kind of defense technique. His body grew red and a blood thirsty aura gushes out. As the arrow attack hits them a bunch of damages popped up.

    A whole bunch of these numbers popped up. His health was close to depletion when all the surrounding blood that he lost came rushing back at him.

    The human General on the on hand raised his shield and a blueish aura light rises out.  A whole bunch of zeros popped up.


    I later found out the Buff that the Demon General used. It was called Life of A Vampire. It increases his defense of 100% for 10 seconds and afterwards 25% of his health will be restored.


    The Human General used a spell call Protection of The Gods and for 15 seconds he will be immune to all long range attacks.


    The elf arrow spell was called Thousand combo arrow. It targets an area of 10 meters squared. Each square meter will be hit by a combo of 10. Furthermore the Arrows damage will be increased by 50 percent.


    Watching this battle was interesting enough but suddenly someone who looks to be 6 and a half feet tall with giant muscles saw me hiding under a rock and came running over to kill me. I quickly climbed out from under the rock and¡­ Ran. You thought I was going to stay and fight didn''t you. Nope, motha f*ckas.  I ran like a b*tch. No offense to anyone. B*tches run fast just saying. There is nothing you say that can change my mind otherwise.


    ¡°Hey shorty get back over here and fight like a man,¡± he shouted.


    Like I said there was nothing you can say to get on my nerves but when I hear someone call me short it just bugs the hell out of me.


    ¡°WHAT YOU SAY YOU OVERGROWN PIECE OF SH*T!¡± I roared back and unsheathe my sword. Thats right I am going to fight. Nobody makes fun of my heights and gets away with it except my grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, close uncle, and close aunts.


    I charged over and was about to slash this guy in half when I heard a Pa! Followed by a rapid papapapa! It seems that an arrow hit his head from the side then it was followed by 5 more arrows in rapid succession. I guess he penetrated to deeply into the demon army that the demon archers targeted him.


    I guess thats what you call karma. I for one on the other hand went back to my cowardly ways of hiding.

    Oh before I forget to tell you. Aside from talking there is a chat option. It is mental message. It works by thinking a command in your mind. For example Message Winter Wind and then you say what you want to message and when you finish you say the word sent.


    After a long time of hiding the battle came toward its conclusion. There were only three surviving groups left humans, beastmans, and elves.


    The win and lost is based on the players. Since about 30 percent of the players pick humans it was no wonder why they would be left. 27 percent of them picked elves and 20 were beastmans. The plantaenoids species were pretty popular too clinching 15 percent of the total players. The rest were undead and us demons. The demon actually had a population of 5 percent of the total players with 3 percent being the undead.


    So it turns out I was one of the 4 surviving demon players out of the 300 to 400 players left inside this vast battle field. I think I am the only player with zero kills surviving this far. Furthermore I also noticed that some of the players left were actually level 30 to 35. They were probable gaining experience points as they kill players and npc alike.


    The demon army was gone and it was the elves verses beastman and humans.


    ¡°Hey, you going to keep hiding under that rock?¡± I heard someone say.

 Chapter 7-The Laws of Reality

    Seeing, that he could have killed me but didn¡¯t I decided to come out from under the rock. I looked up and saw his gamer ID. It was Quatu. He was the same species as me a Demon. He has decent looks and was about 5 feet 10 or 11. I also saw that he had the horns and a tail.Furthermore another person followed behind him with the gamer ID Moomooo. This person was also of the demon species. He was about 5 feet 7 with decent looks too. He also had horns but no tail. They look similar to each other so I assumed they were brothers.


    ¡°Mhmm I¡¯m new to the game so I was just hiding for a bit to watch what was happening. Plus the people who dies don''t direct start the game before us so it doesn''t even matter,¡± I replied.


    ¡°Haha oh. How many kills have you got so far?¡± Quatu asks.


    ¡°Hahaha um zero,¡± I replied, ¡°how about you?¡±.


    Both Moomooo and Quatu¡¯s eyes literally jumped out of their sockets. Regaining their composure Moomooo replies, ¡°85.¡±


    ¡°85,¡± Quatu replies too.


    ¡°Oh yeah your ranked around 15 in kills right?¡±


    ¡°Yeah,¡± Moomooo replies.


    ¡°Well carry on then and I will hide under this rock,¡± I said.


    ¡°Ok¡­¡± they both replied feeling the awkward atmosphere that was developing. ¡°See you then and good luck on you''re hiding?¡± They said and walked away.


    I went back my rock. I must say with the amount of time I spent with this rock I might as well call it my home. About 10 minutes later I heard a.

    I saw the mission and my jaw dropped onto the floor. This is impossible they are basically asking for a suicide mission. I looked around and all I saw was a flat land except for three mountains. These Mountains were the base for each of the three forces. The plantaenoid and Elve¡¯s mountain were full of trees and stuff. The human and beastman were full of  rocks. The demon and undead mountain was full of ice, snow, and was very cold. The demon race don¡¯t like heat so that is probable the reason why it is so cold.


    I didn¡¯t think it was possible to win so I decided that I would be one of the 100 survivors of this and I begin to sneak around to the demon mountain. The demon forces were gone except for Moomooo, Quatu and I assumed it was the safety option available. Further more if I would the humans I would attack the elves first to get rid of any chance of a miracle win. Furthermore the elves have a total of 25 elite players left. To survive this long means they have skill and if each elf kills three humans then they would win. It is more believable for that to happen then three demon players slaying  24 and a half player each. My math might be a bit off.

    As I was running up the mountain I met Quatu and Moomooo along the way.


    ¡°Where you going?¡± I asked.


    ¡°Oh we are going to the elves side to make a plan to turn this war around. It¡¯s be easier to deal with 25 players then 73 you know,¡± Moomooo replied.


    ¡°Well, good luck and I will hold down the fort,¡± I said.


    Moomooo face palmed himself when he heard what I said. I can kinda understand since there is a higher chance of winning if I work with the elves then alone. Furthermore the reward is so advantageous to beginning players it would be dumb not too.


    ¡°Lets stop wasting time and go,¡± Quatu said and they both left.


    I ran up the mountain. The further I got up the colder it became. I was also beginning to enter the snowy region. Since us demons had higher resistance than the other species I was kinda hoping that when they were coming up to get me they were freeze too death. It took me ten to twenty minutes to reach half way up the mountain. I found a cave and went inside. The cave was quite warm and there was a fire going. Furthermore the snow was actually half way up to my knees when I was half way up this Mountain. So I was feeling quite chilly myself even with higher cold immunity.


    I looked out into the field but I did not see the battle. I am assuming that the battle is probably happening in the forest where they have the most advantage. Then I thought of a bright idea. Since this is 99 percent realism then it should follow the laws of the real world.


    I looked around and I found some fire starters and unused torches. I think this was meant to be used against the Plantaenoid species. I took the fire starters and the unused torches and threw them into my bag.


    I¡¯ve decided to help them out by setting fire to the whole forest. It was genius to be honest. Never knew I had that in me. It would wipe out the beastman and human race and the elves along the way. Lastly it would suck for those two demon players but every war has casualties. I solute you for your sacrifice.


    Excited about my new strategy I began to hop down the mountain at an incredible speed that even I didn''t know that I even had it in me. What took 10 to 20 minutes to come up. Took me 10 minutes to get down. Thanks to this being a game I was not even tired. I hopped onto the field and was running toward the Elves¡¯ forest. With a maniacal laugh and facial features I arrived before the forest. I opened up the map and saw a bunch of colored circles. The map was 4 feet wide and 2 and a half feet tall. The circles for each player were five inches big. I think this is so we won¡¯t know the exact location of each player.


    It seems that no one has noticed me yet and was battling each head on. From the circle it shows the elves side were using guerrilla tactics. Furthermore this feature only came about because we are close to the end and if no players can find each other in this vast map then it would never come to an end.


    I was at the edge of the forest and I lighted one of the torches. It sparked into a raging inferno. Then I held it right next to one of the trees. It took a while but after a couple minutes it began to burn. Furthermore I saw that one of the blue circles were running towards me. He was getting closer and closer. From the looks of it the blue circle was an enemy circle. The tree finally burst into flames. I threw the flaming torch away and ran away so fast  that you would have thought I was ghost.


    I was thinking about starting another fire until I realized that if I start two fires it might burn each other out. So I decided not too and just ran back to my cold mountain.

 Chapter 8-Cornered

    As I was running my character¡¯s stamina was running low. It seems that my current stamina will only last me 30 minutes of running with every 5 minutes of rest. I checked my map and it seems that most of them manage to get out of the forest alive. I was sitting at the foot of my mountain resting up.

    I began to hike up the mountain again. About 5 minutes later I heard a

    Blimp tracking is when for 10 seconds your exact location will be shown to everyone. This happens every 10 minutes. It is to speed up the game in a big map.


    The blimp activated and I saw a swarm of red dots charging over to this mountain.


    Great I thought sarcastically. I was still climbing up the mountain but then I activated the pain sensors. Using my hands I swiped it so I would receive the minimum about of pain. It isn¡¯t like I was a sadist or something.


    I arrive back in the cave. I ran around searching for weapons. I was hoping I could find a bomb or something but unluckily I did not. Sigh, wheres a bomb fanatic when you need one. I¡¯m wondering how Wenxin was doing. Thinking back she did say she would only like the best player. At that time I don¡¯t know what happened but I felt extra motivated, like someone gave me a mix of red bull, monster, shot of pure caffeine and a whole lot of sugar.


    Seeing, that I could not find something I can use and from the looks of the map they will be here in less than 10 minutes I ran out of the cave. I climbed up higher since the snow would get deeper and deeper. It is probable a stupid idea but at the time I was thinking of hiding in the snow and use guerrilla tactics to kill 65 of them. Honestly I don''t know why I thought it was brilliant at the time but it turned out to be quite stupid and a time waster.


    I ran further up the hill and began to try and burrow myself into the snow but after 5 minutes of digging it turned out to be quite tiring and I wasn''t getting anywhere. I was still pretty close to the cave so I was thinking of running back into the cave to warm myself up. Except once I was near the cave I saw all the players surrounding me in a crescent moon shape at the bottom.


    I couldn¡¯t help but smile to myself. I don¡¯t know why but I always love it when I am trapped in a corner. Whether it be basketball, martial arts and even chess when I am trap in the corner it seems my inner dragon would spring forth. I don''t mean the one between my legs either.

    ¡°SURRENDER NOW AND I WILL GO EASY ON YOU!¡± I bluffed really loud. Thinking back that was a pretty embarrassing bluff.


    Like a classic villain he replied with, ¡°you in what army!?¡±


    One of the soldiers steps up and took out a speaker. ¡°Everyone in position!¡± He shouted through the speaker and the voice echoed out. I could literally feel those vibrations going through me. I saw a familiar name behind the whole army watching. It was Fallen Leaf.


    At the time I was thinking where did he get the speaker from, rather than admiring Fallen Leaf.


    The 65 players began to slowly form a circle around me. There were 5 players from what I could see that picked up arching. During this event, players are allowed to pick up dead npc weapons.


    My eyes were scanning the scenery like a 3D printer. My heart beat racing like a v10 engine as I was thinking of how Wenxin would hug me and give me a kiss on the cheeks if I make it through this. Anyway back to reality or virtual reality in this case. From the looks of things I had no where to escape. The cave¡¯s entrance was three feet away from me and I could run into it whenever I want. The entrance could fit about three players at a time so logically it would be my best choice of action. It would restrict the amount of players that can attack me at once. The biggest problem came from my level. Due to me not killing a single person everyone else¡¯s level were around level 15.


    ¡°MARCH ONWARD!¡± I heard someone shout through a voice amplifier. 50 players began to charge forward. I could feel a slight tremble.


    But then I heard a distant rumble. The floor began to shake. I couldn''t help but smile a bit because I have seen so many movies about this type of incident. It was an avalanche sent by the Gods. I quickly dived into the cave to give myself shelter as a I saw well a giant avalanche. It came crashing through. One of the players near me tried to get in too but sadly I stalled him long enough at the entrance that he got swept away too.


    Numbers began to pop up as player after players began to die.


    ¡°Hahahaha,¡± I laughed maniacally. It truly was a lucky break. I wonder what I prize was going to be. One of the players actually did die and the ironic part is that his head was sticking out of the snow but the rest of his body was not. I picked up my sword and began to stab at him. He was level 16 and I was still level one so it took a while. I wonder how much pain he felt.

 Chapter 9-Dark Quasi Mage

    Chapter 9: Dark Quasi Mage


    Another screen appeared. This one listed all the classes an individual can be inside the game. The selections were swordsman, archer, mage, knight, assassin, tamers, berserker, thief and priest. These were the major classes people can pick from. Furthermore there are hidden classes throughout the game but one would have to find them by luck.


    Each class would gain stats differently. They would give you 10 points to choose whatever stats you want to add too and then the individual person would also have the preset class growth whenever they level up. For example a swordsman would have a stat bonus of plus 3 points in attack, and two points in stamina while everything else are 1 point bonuses. While a thief would have 3 points in agility, and two points in intellect while everything else is one. So each class is different. Furthermore the weapons and armors they use are different too. In this game due to the 99% realism they allow players to wear whatever they want but the problem comes when using items outside of your class get their stats cut in half. So a sword with 10 attack will only have 5 attack. A body armor with 6 defense will have only 3 defense.


    I then selected the warrior class for two reasons. One is because I like swords and in my martial arts school I have been practicing the sword. Therefore I have a foundation in it. Second I heard from Dong Seng that Wenxin likes the warrior class too. I guess your can say out of the two reasons 70 percent of it came from my second reason. To be completely honest I really wanted to be a mage. The reasoning is because if I am going to play a virtual reality game why would I want to be normal and go around swinging a sword when I can be shooting out lightning from my fingers and farting fire. It just blows my mind why the mage class is only the third most popular class in the game after assassin and warrior.

    Alright, so I should probable explain these stats they gave out. There are two types of stats given here. There is a lot of equations and others stats not included but I decided these were the most important. So health, mana, attack, and defense, are known as physical aspect. Meaning these stats tell me how much damage are done to the other party and how much damage the other party can do to me. Furthermore in this game we would also receive 10 additional points to add to any stats. The stats you can add these points to are strength, endurance, agility, intellect and stamina. These stats would then affect our health, mana, attack, defense and agility. There are also other stats such as magic damage but that is just a bunch of equations using Mana, attack, and intellect to calculate. Furthermore it also does double damage on armor classes. Then the elements also come into play. The point is it will get really confusing if I start explaining it now. Just think of it like rock paper and scissors. Warriors beat archers, archers beat mage, mage beat warriors.


    ¡°Hahaha, good things come to those who wait!¡± I laughed maniacally. ¡°I would be an idiot for not accepting! It is a hidden class!¡±


    Thus I accepted without hesitation.


    Light began to surround me as I was teleported to the actual game.

    I reappeared in a new field. I looked around and I saw some run down shacks and a dirt floor. This was the beginning village.I also saw a lot of players beginning to appear on this field I was in. About 5 seconds later hologram sign appeared above everyone¡¯s head.

    ¡°Player stats!¡± I yelled and a hologram screen appears in front of me. Everyone around me were looking at me like I was a complete noob. Anyway this was my stats. Due to me picking my classes a new set of stats appeared before me.

    From the looks of things the stats are not that bad. If other beginners were to see this they would be jealous to the point of suicide. This is because this is close to a level 2 stats for players in this game. Normal mages start out with 25 mana. Normal melee profession jobs usually start out with 2 to 3 attacks and 1 in defense and everything else. Also I have about 25  more health than everyone except Knight professions since they start with 110 health.


    I decided to equip my rusty sword which I named rusty and my tatter robe. My attack increased by one and my defense also increased by one.


    Sigh! Alright, if I remember correctly I was supposed to go find the Newbie guide. Thus I strode out like a dragon look for the newbie guide of this village. As I jogged through this empty village I found that there were more and more huts as I went along. There were other players trying to find the newbie guide too.


    ¡°Ahh! Stop!¡±


    I heard a scream coming out from one of the alleys. I also saw that when someone walks near that alley they tend to speed up dramatically.


    I jogged over and peered in only to see three grown ass man beating up a nerdy looking guy wearing the same robe as me. The moment I appeared in that hallway all three of those overgrown gorillas turned their attention onto me.


    ¡°Please help me mister!¡± the nerdy guy begs.


    ¡°Shut up!¡± one the over grown gorillas kicked the man.


    ¡°Umm. I am not really a part of this so I will leave!¡± I said when I was about to bolt when I heard one of the overgrown gorilla laughs.


    ¡°Hahaha this shorty not only short but a cower too!¡±


    My ears perked up and I stopped in my track.


    ¡°Say it one more time!¡± I roared back stomping into the alleyway.


    ¡°I said! You are not only a midget but also a scared pu**y!¡± he shouts out loud enough for everyone to hear. The other players saw their size and decided to avoid him.


    ¡°Hey over grown dogs you want a beating?¡± I yelled. I couldn''t think of a good comeback so that was all I got.


    Before I knew it I was surrounded.


    Gulp!


    ¡°Little mage you better turn your pain system down cause your in for a world of pain bruh!¡± advise one of them.


    One of them threw out a punch! I saw it coming and dodged. Thats what I would like to say but for some reason the system won¡¯t let me dodge at the last second and I was hit directly in the face.


    My body spun through the air like an elegantly thrown football.


    A big fat zero appeared above my head. It seems that players cannot kill each other here but pain was still pain.


    Another one threw a punch at me and I grabbed his arm. I had enough strength to completely stop his punch.


    I got up and felt that I might be able to do this. My stats were probable better than theirs. Normal warrior strength stats were two but mine were 4 which were double their¡¯s.


    They had this astonished looked on his face. They couldn''t believe a small mage like me could be stronger than them. Hahaha thank you 3 point bonus. I lashed out a kick sending one of them flying.


    ¡°Muhahaha!¡± I laughed with a smile on my face. I think it might be my demon class that made my smile looked extremely evil. They were like scared kitties cowering in the corner as a Chinese chef strides forward.

 Chapter 10-Hitting Dummies For Hours

    I gave those guys a beating until they were black and blue. It felt great. I saw zero damages fly everywhere like unicorns farting rainbows. It took about 5 minutes until they were black, blue, and a variety of colors that their own mothers probable would not even recognize them. This game is a bit brutal I thought. The reason is because they paid so much attention to detail from the looks of it the effect of real life reactions actually reflect onto their virtual selves. Meaning if you get punch on the eye you will have a black and blue eye bruise.


    Clapping my hands together I left the alley way. It began to drizzle a bit but since it was a game I didn''t really care.


    ¡°Sir,¡± the nerdy guy came running after me. ¡°Thank you for saving me back there.¡±


    I took a good look at him and I approve. I¡¯m not gay or anything just saying. It turns out he was younger than me and shorter than me too. He looks to be three inches shorter and was really scrawny. Even through he wasn''t wearing glasses you can basically tell he was nerdy and probable spent most of him time gaming. Nothing against these type of people just saying. There is nothing wrong with that. Oh before I continue I should tell you some of the governmental rules that were placed about 50 years ago. First is that nobody can be online for more than 18 hours a day. There were actually a huge court case on this but eventually everyone agreed that if people were dropping dead left and right it would not be good for the company or virtual reality in general. Therefore the law was adopted. The second law is that the gaming companies must put in place a vital reader in their helmets.This is too monitor the players hunger, health, hydration and nutritious inside the body. This is to help those people keep a healthy diet so they don¡¯t randomly die from a heart attack from playing the game 18 to 24 hours a day. The third law is that all gamers must visit the doctor once every month for a full body checkup. Furthermore every year they must visit a psychologist¡¯s office for a full mental checkup.


    This actually decrease gamer death from about 5000 deaths per year to about 1 or 2 per year and sometimes there is none. This is because most of the time people get so absorbed in the game that they forget all about reality and would suffer a heart attack and die.


    ¡°No problem,¡± I replied. I saw him looking up to me so I was quite pleased in saving him since he was shorter than me.


    ¡°Thats a really cool name you have,¡± the short guy whose gamer id was FireDragon123 said. I was looking at the ID and thinking how lame it was but apparently he was a well known mage player in other virtual reality games. I found that out a couple days later. Furthermore it wasn''t just any random beating it turns out those guys had some issues with him from another virtual game called Chao.


    ¡°Hahaha of course,¡± I replied not knowing who he was and how newbie I sound in front of him. He was still looking up to me.


    ¡°So what are you going to do next?¡± FireDragon123 asks me.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know. I think the guide said to find my class guide and finish the quest they will give so I can truly become this class.¡±


    He turns around still looking in the drizzling sky and said in a very wise tone. ¡°Thats what most newbie players do I guess.¡± He does a shrug looking up into the sky like a sage. ¡°Since you saved me earlier as an experience pro I will give you some pointers. Instead of wasting time on completing those quest go to the martial art dojo to train your stats. With stronger stats you will naturally gain experiences faster than the rest.¡±


    I saw that even after he finished talking he was still looking at the sky so I decided to follow his gaze. There was currently a light shower of rain and in a flash my face was drenched. Could this FireDragon123 still be washing his face? I thought as I lowered my head to wipe off the water.


    ¡°What are you looking at?¡± FireDragon123 asks me.


    ¡°What are yoouuu looking at?¡± I replied with a question.


    ¡°Hey newbie, my nose has been bleeding non stop!¡±


    ¡°Oh,¡± I replied speechless. Did he just call me a newbie after I saved his ass?


    ¡°So what are you going to do,¡± he said rubbing his nose.


    I honestly felt like kicking his ass back to reality but sadly I am a newbie and he seems to know what he was talking about so I just imagine beating him up in my mind.


    ¡°I think I am going to do what you just said. Go to that dojo and train my stats,¡± I replied.


    ¡°Good then follow me. I¡¯ll lead you there since I need to do the same and give those noobs some pay back.¡±


    Wow he is a like a tiny little caffeinated squirrel, I thought at the time. It felt weird following someone I just saved.


    I arrived in front of an ancient looking dojo. On the outside stood two demon looking beasts guarding the entrance.


    Ding!


    ¡°Hey ¡®dark bun bun¡¯ ;p still only level one?¡± It was a message from Dong Seng.

    ¡°Level 2. Most of the players now are level two except the healers lol. You didn''t choose a healer class by accident did you? Wenxin might think you¡¯re a pssy.¡±


    ¡°Shut up! Grrr. You just wait and watch once we get to level five and can leave this noobie village I¡¯m gonna beat your ass.¡±

    FireDragon123 looks at me like I was dropped as a baby.


    ¡°Come on lets go.¡±


    I arrived inside the dojo and was taken aback by the field. It was kind of ghetto looking. There were 300 hitting posts. They were made out wood and rope.


    ¡°Maggots!¡± a warrior like demon roars.


    ¡°Yes?¡± I replied weakly.


    ¡°Are you here to train!¡± He shouts spits flying everywhere.


    ¡°Yes sir,¡± FireDragon123 asks.


    ¡°Yes sir!¡± I replied copying him.


    ¡°OK!¡± Then he tosses us both what looks like a very crude club.


    I lifted it easily but it seems that FireDragon123 was having a tough time.


    ¡°Start hitting those dummies!¡± He shouts pointing to the poles. Strangely enough two scarecrow like dummies appeared.


    I walked over and began to hit the dummy like some sort of robot.


    PA! PA! Pa! I was hitting it over and over.


    ¡°So if my calculations are correct the first hour will give us 1 strength. The second hour is 2 strength. The third hour is 20 hp points. The fourth hour is 10 mana points. The problem is in order to get it you must hit it for five hours straight without rest at a rhythm without pause.¡±


    ¡°Hahaha should be easy,¡± I said full of confidence. Little did I know that this wasn¡¯t as easy as it sound.


    I went really slow for an hour but nothing appeared after one hour of hitting.


    ¡°Haha I finally got the first hour,¡± I heard FireDragon123 shout happily.


    ¡°You gotta hit faster. You were hitting too slow! Open up the quest window and it will show your progress.¡±


    ¡°Oh,¡± I replied and did as he told and sure enough it was right there. I thought to myself if a mage can do it then I can do it too. So what if I wasted the first hour unproductively. I still got what seems to be like 17 in game hours before I have to wake up. My thoughts were all fantasies of Wenxin now.


    After five hours of hitting the post I have only managed to get the plus 1 and plus two in strength. It was a lot harder than it looks. I had to control my strength so my game stamina would not run to low or too high.


    I don¡¯t know how FireDragon123 do it with his measly mage stamina but he did it. He managed to get up to four hours before his rhythm broke.


    He was actually covered in sweat.


    Furthermore I keep getting distracting when people come in and call us idiots when they look at us hitting the dummies with the club.


    ¡°These noobs why would they start hitting it now? They should wait until they are level 5 or 10 and come back to do it. They would have higher stamina and it would take least control. Noobs reading the guide and thinking it is the only route hahaha.¡±


    ¡°Wasting time. Hey Bunny and Fire you two noobs want me to help train you?¡± another player shouts out.

    I held he my pee in like my life depended on it. It feels similar to being in a five hour car drive and before they start the trip they would rhetorically ask you do you need to go pee. Well, thats how I am feeling right now. My groin is in a constant pressure like it is about to explode and this stinging sensation won¡¯t stop. Furthermore this screen is so freaking annoying the hell out of me.

    10 minutes pass. I can feel that a drop of liquid leak out of my Johnny rocket.


    20 minute passes and I feel like my Johnny rocket is about to nuke my bed. Just 10 more minutes too go! I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!

    Once I enter the bathroom I letted it all out. It was like a flood. It was like the noah¡¯s ark flood all over again. I felt a sense of happiness that was indescribable. If I was to compare this to the ten best feelings in the world. It would be just above scratching a Mosquito bite. I would say it might even feel better than sex but I am still a virgin so I can¡¯t really say that with one hundred percent confident.


    After relieving myself I checked the time. It was 8am. I look over at Dong Seng and he was giggling somehow even with the muscle paralysis in his system.

    Mhmm? My health is actually at 145? That can¡¯t be right. The last time I check was 103. Even with the additional 30 hp I should have 133. I decided to run a wikipedia check and I found out that have stamina and endurance stats increase also increase HP because it causes you to be sturdier. I¡¯m not going to complain from getting higher stats. My attack was also higher but that is probable due to my strength being raised by 6 points.


    After checking my stats I swipe left and the screen disappeared. I look around and saw that the guy who brought me here already disappeared.


    Oops nearly forgot. I need check my skills.


    An empty screen appears. Empty!? Oh thats right I still need to complete my class quest. I guess I should go do my class quest now. So I ran out of the training dojo and began to look for my mage instructor. Since there is no such thing as a quasi mage in the beginning villages. It took about 10 minutes but I finally found her.


    She looks to be six feet tall and her two melons were like two of my head on each side. She had these lavish curves that could make any men straight again. These developers sure have some wild fetishes that were never fulfilled. Well, good luck in your next life I guess.


    Since it has been a couple of hours since the game started there were not a lot of people around the guide. I saw that the Guide¡¯s name was Mage Guide Hua. This is actually an important piece of information. Npc relationship! NPCs right now are made with Artificial Intelligence or better known as AI. These NPC AIs are actually pretty simple. It isn¡¯t as barbaric and boring as AI¡¯s from 800 years ago. These artificial intelligence actually has a pretty simple level of consciousness to them. Almost on the same level as a 6 year old boy. They are also programmed to respond to certain key words. Furthermore there is a relationship bar you can check on your system screen to know how intimate you are with a certain AI. Not all the NPC in cities have AI but the most important ones do.

    Not only that but monsters have them too. The higher the level the more intelligent they become. Therefore becoming friends with them would bring out better quests, rewards, and information.

In this game 100 copper coins equal 1 silver coin. 100 Silver coin equals 1 gold coin. 100 gold coin equal 1 thundergold coin. Simply put killing any monsters in the beginners area only gives out 6 to 8 copper coins. So mathematically it doesn¡¯t add up. F*cking pay to win, I muttered under my breath as I hand her 5 silver coin unwillingly. This was all the money the system gave new players.

    Mission description: Bring to Mage Guid Hua 20 fox fur by killing the earth foxes around these parts of the wood.


    I grumpily accept the mission and left for the woods. I reequips my wooden sword which increased my attack to 17 to 18 damage per hit. I little will later I found the earth foxes. They were only level two. I calculated that their were 10 to 15 of them around me. With my current stats it shouldn¡¯t be a problem handling them.


    The moment I walked into their range they already had their agro on. They immediately dash toward my direction I brought out my sword. Wait before I continue on, I just wanted to say this is my first time actually playing a virtual reality game alone so you should cut me some slack.


    The earth fox jumps toward my face. I saw in slow motion sharp vicious look nails pop out of his paws and one of the paws was coming toward my face. I got scared and fell on my butt. I unconsciously swing my sword when I was on the ground. It hit and a red number appeared in the air.

    After getting over my initial shock I charged forward and used what I learn in the ways of the sword to deal multiple types of stabs, slices, chops, and swings. Due to my continues attacks the little Earth fox didn''t even have a chance to retaliate.

    After these damages flew out the earth fox finally gave his last screech before dying.


    Hahaha this is not so bad. My experience points went up and there was loot. I went over and picked up my drops. A fox fur and 5 copper coins. I kinda like it I thought to myself and began to look for my next prey. I saw a lot of them¡­ They were all gazing at me like I am some sort of roast pork chop.


    They all came dashing over. I was mauled to death right then and there.


    Good news is since this game is still relevantly brand new they allow us to revive immediately after 10 minutes from the time of death.


    My spirit came out of my body and what I saw made me want to cry. I dropped my sword! Not only that but also the 5 copper coins I just got and my experience went back to zero. I thought my luck was positive 23 not negativity 23. At the same time I felt an indescribable vicious rage as I look at all those Earth Foxes that mauled me to by death.

    Luckily 10 minutes passed and no one came by to claim my sword and 5 copper coins. I revived myself. Picked up my sword and ran to an area to wait for my health to restore to full. People can restore their health and mana through sitting in a meditation pose in this game. After 5 minutes of meditating I got back up. I really need to go buy some health potions, and mana potions later.


    This time I found another fox. I charged forward and thrust my rusty sword into her or it could be a him. It is not like they have guide tell me the gender of each monster I kill. This time I killed it in less than 15 seconds. I saw the other foxes swarm around me again. This time I am not going to be that stupid and just stand there waiting for them to maul me to death.


    Instead I chose to charge toward one of the fox. As gruesome as this is gonna sound I thrust the sword directly through his head. A damage number I was not expecting popped up.

    Then I pulled it back and stabbed it in the head again. Except this time only a negative thirteen appeared. Still sliding backwards I continue to stab the head.


    -32 appeared this time. It seems it does emulate reality a bit. Hitting the brain part of the head would cause double damage to it. In other words a critical hit.


    There was still a swarm behind it but once I got that down killing these foxes became incomparable easy. My speed was about equal to their speed. Each hit to the head causes 30 to 37 damage and sometimes I would hit the heart too causes 50 damage.


    After killing all 15 of these foxes I collected a total of 70 copper coins and 13 fox fur. I also leveled up to three in a matter of 6 minutes.

    I looked at my health and mana stats and felt ecstatic. This was comparable to a level 5 Mage or knight class growth in health and mana. Feeling ecstatic I killed a couple more foxes and until I reached the required mission requirement. Once I had the 20 fox fur I ran back to that greedy hag(really want to put b*tch but decided against it).


    ¡°Well done young adventurer,¡± she said. ¡°you are now an official Mage. Mhmm. I see that you are not a normal mage but a Quasi Mage. Please go to the warrior training camp to find Warrior Guide Shin for your warrior class instructions.¡±


    I guess she is useful for something but isn¡¯t she forgetting something?


    ¡°Beautiful Mage Guide Hua,¡± I said politely, ¡°what about my mage skills?¡±

    ¡°I see you have completed the mage mission. If I assume correctly you are a Quasi mage. My mission for you is to kill 20 gray wolves at the outskirt of this village. Once you finish this mission bring me 20 gray wolf tooth as proof of completion.¡±


    ¡°Thank you,¡± I said and turned around to leave and realized that an acceptation screen of this mission did not appear. Please don¡¯t tell this instructor is just as shameless.

In the future I will have millions of gold so what is a 5 or 10 copper coins. Chump change thats what it is. Still I felt kinda cheated. How many gently souls have been cheat I like this. Oh well thats got nothing to do me.


    I went out to the outskirt of the village and began to kill the wolves. The good news is that were on the same level as the fox with 2 or 3 extra points in defense and attack but their speed was slow. At first looking at them was scary but then I realize this was a game and they were easy to kill. After killing 25 of them I finally obtained all 20 wolf tooth that I needed. Furthermore my level jumped to lvl 4.

I felt excited because in the 16 years that I have lived so the furthest I have traveled is probable 100 to 150 miles away from my house. In this game I can probably wander the world and meet many new people from all over China.


    I ran back to that instructor and handed him all 20 wolf tooth.

    I face palmed myself thinking that this is just one big giant circle. Since there was nothing I could do I said my thanks to the instructor and ran back to the Mage Guide Hua. Since this is pretty simple I am not gonna bother writing out everything. Simple put once I got the emblem from Mage Guide Hua I ran back to Warrior Guide Shin. Once I got his approval I ran to the outskirt of this village on the West side.


    There I found a run down cottage. This cottage looks poor and desolate. I guess this is where my adventures begin.

 Chapter 13-Rank S Quest!

    Chapter 13:


    When I walked to the door I found out that I could not open it. I tried everything. Tugging, twisting, pushing, and I even tried yelling out ¡°OPEN SESAME!¡±


    It was quite embarrassing when two pretty females walk by and looks at me like I was an idiot. Anyone I tried everything and the door just won¡¯t open. I even tried the window but no such luck. I quickly went online to check for a way to open this door but sadly enough due to the rarity of this class made it so nobody has post anything online.


    I walked around to look for a back door but there was none. As I walked back I remembered something that the instructor told me and that he had a strict personality. Usually that meant this person is organize and obliges by the rules. It could only mean one thing.


    I walked up to the door and knocked three times. The door creaks open.


    ¡°YES! HAHAHAHA,¡± I celebrated hysterically.

    Mhmm, not bad I thought. This quest should get me to level 7 and maybe 9 pretty quickly. Even through I just received a rank S quest having to do rank F quest at my level isn''t to bad.


    Since I was not in an urgent need to complete the quest I decided to follow Dong¡¯s advice to go look for an alchemist master and a smithing master. This is because unlike other players I don''t have the luxury of spending money into the game. Furthermore I need to earn money inside the game so my parents won¡¯t get suspicious.


    The biggest reason is if my parents ever find out I could just say I was earning money and that should calm them down a bit. Asian parents are always happy if their child is making money somehow.

    I took about four minutes of jogging but I finally found the Smithing house.

    After that I ran to the Alchemy association and did the same thing. Then I ran over to the cooking association and did the exact same thing. They were all rank F quests so there shouldn''t be an issue even for a noob like me to complete.


    Alchemy association wants me to collect 10 ginger flowers near the area of the Darian Mining cave. The cooking association wants me to kill ten wild chickens and near the sound of the village for chicken meat. I even received a hunting skill from them.


    I ran to the mine first and mined ten orgs in a matter of thirty minutes. Then I ran into the Sunrise forest to kill some spiders. Little did I know it turns out this forest spawns monster between 5 and 12.


    As I jog forward excitedly I arrive before a cave. The cave was cover in spiderwebs so I knew I arrived at the right cave. Furthermore it gave off a really creepy feeling.


    I attracted the first spider and it came charging at me like a maniac. I swung out my sword and it made contact.

    !!! What the hell?


    Then I realized that this was a level 6 spider and it was a miracle I even did 4 damage.


    ¡°Monster stats!¡± I yelled and a screen appears before me.

    Shit! That just took one-sixth of my health. No wonder its a level 6 monster. Luckily due to my job and training I would be equivalent to a level six player. Furthermore for some reason monsters do more damage to players even with the same attack and defense stats.


    I also noticed something due to my training in Kung Fu and that was it¡¯s movements are a bit rigid and slow.

    I¡¯m sure you don''t want to hear me talking about how I killed 100 of these critters so I won¡¯t bored you. It was good training through. Little my little I was getting use to the game. I even tried out some combos and styles that I always wanted to do in reality.


    Sadly I only killed seventy-two of them which took me 3 hours. It might have been due to my level. Furthermore not a single armor or weapon was dropped. Luckily I went up by four levels.

    I checked the time and the real world time right now was 10:12. It was time to get up. I really wanted to just stay and continue level but I can¡¯t let my parents find out.

    After I got dress and everything Dong¡¯s parents brought us to the school that held the basketball game.


    I follow Dong into the locker room as the rest of the teammates arrive. They were all at least five feet eleven or taller so I feel like a midget here. Still if I had to brag skill wise I am probable better than them but it is pretty hard to overcome the height difference.


    Today was the last game for preliminaries before the finals start. It wasn''t an important game but it was the game that puts on in third or fourth for the state.


    As I walked out from the locker room to the courts I can feel the intensity of it. Stand before the crowd I couldn''t help but feel my blood boil.


    The announcers introduce the teams and its players. Then we stood there and listen to the national anthem song. After that we went to our side of the court to warm up.


    Our coach was a bearded old man.


    ¡°Alright team we are going to be changing things up a bit today. I want Dong, Long, Feng, Ren, and Pao out on the courts today. Long will be playing point guard. Alright team! TIANDI HIGH SCHOOL LETS GO!¡±


    Everyone puts their hand in and shouted it out. A little embarrassing but whatever. Still I¡¯m going to start today? Did hell freeze over? They will probable switch me out two minutes in.


    I walked out onto the court with the rest of the team and I couldn''t help but see the grin on the other teams face.


    It seems to taught me. Even through they didn''t say it out loud I could hear them think, ¡°what the hell they are sending a midget out onto the court to start?¡±


    ¡°They are looking down on us too much!¡±


    ¡°Lets reck them.¡±


    ¡°Our offense will be attacking through the midget. Whoever he is guarding that is where we will attack from.¡±


    We had our team Ren go up for the jump. They sent out their tallest guy which was actually taller than out guy by an inch.


    The referee tosses up the ball and both our teams jumps up for the ball. Rea managed to hit the ball towards me.


    I grab the ball but somehow my body responded a lot slower than I thought. The ball hit the tip of my finger but luckily it dropped to the floor and I manage to begin dribbling it.


    Thats weird I thought. I was a pretty smart guy believe it or not so I immediately determine that the Ascension game was the prime reason for my delay reaction. This might have to due with the fact that inside the game my body speed was a lot faster and since I technically played for at least sixteen hours my mind adjusted to that speed. Due to that even through my mind reacted the body wasn''t able to keep up to my mind¡¯s speed.


    I calmed myself down and did a couple dribbling moves under my legs to stabilize it.


    It turns out they were playing man to man to try and take advantage of me. The guy that was guarding me was six feet tall at the very least. Six feet three to be exact.


    I used a fake to the right and then to the left. Due to his abnormally long arms he was not faked out. Then I spun around and out of the corners of my eyes I saw Ren running from behind. My right hand moved on its own and pushes the ball under my defenders legs and it got through. Rea caught the ball and pulls up with a mid range shot.


    ¡°Nice pass,¡± Ren complimented as we ran back.


    ¡°No problem,¡± I replied and got into the two three zone. I was playing up top. Their point guard was dribbling down the ball. He passes the ball to his right.  His teammates caught the ball and drove in with it.


    I didn''t even bother reacting because there was nothing I could do but watch whoever was in front of me. Just like in martial arts watching the opponents movement is very important. When he drove in he got fouled.


    The game went back and forth for three minutes before the coach pulled me out. Honestly I was little out of breathe and I might as well be a waterfall at that point with the way I was sweating.


    ¡°Hey nice passes bro,¡± someone on the bench said to me.


    ¡°Thanks,¡± I said. I was out of breath so I didn''t bother with all the talking.


    The score was 12 to 15 and we are behind by 3.


    ¡°Rest up. You''re going in third quarter,¡± the coach said to me.

    The time flowed back and forth and it was the end of the second quarter. The score was 44 to 49. One point we had the lead but they came back in took the lead by five point. We had to many mistakes with the inside passes. Furthermore our defense collapsed three times because of their ball movement.


    We all went back into the locker room and the coach was heated.


    ¡°WHAT THE FUCKING HELL DO YOU CALL THAT ON THE COURT!¡± He yelled loudly. ¡°FUCKING MIDDLE SCHOOLERS COULD PLAY BETTER THAN THAT!¡±


    ¡°WHAT THE HELL DO YOU CALL THIS?¡± The coach asked as he demonstrates Ren shooting an off balance shot. Then he demonstrated one of our defenders getting crossed up. ¡°YOU CALL THAT FUCKING DEFENSE?¡±


    After the yelling he told us what our good points were and half time was over. As we walked out I noticed someone in the stand. It was Wanxin. She was at this basketball game. My body froze up and I began to feel nervous for the first time.

    ¡°Long you''re going back in,¡± the heard coach said with a fire in his eyes that was ready to roast anyone in the crossfire. It felt like a death sentence. Sure I want to show off but what if I mess up and look like a clown out there? I really wanted to run away at that moment but I couldn¡¯t.


    ¡°Haha welcome back. Your idol is watching so do your best,¡± Dong Seng teases.


    ¡°Go easy on me please?¡± I squeak back.


    We had the ball so my teammate passes me the ball. I dribbled it down to the other side of the court and it was that six feet three guy guarding me again. He was number fifteen. I dribble to the right side and faked a shot before passing into the inside right for Dong to catch the ball for an easy layup. As we ran back to defend I saw out of the corner of my eyes a hail Mary pass to the other side of the court. I sprinted down at my full speed because I already predicted the trajectory. Plus there was really only one other person on the other side of the court.


    I jumped into the air and caught the ball with my left and brought it down.


    I dribble back with full speed. At the half court line I passed the ball to Feng who passed it to Dong who was about to shoot when he saw me cut into the opponents defense.


    He whips the ball to me. I caught it. I went for a lay up. The ball flew into the air.


    BANG! Someone appeared in front of me and knocks the ball right back in my face! It was fifteen.


    He looks at me and whisper the word, ¡°midget.¡±


    I fell to the floor and my nose had blood flowing like a river. My face turn absolutely red not from the balling hitting my face but from embarrassment. To get blocked like I lost all face today. All I know was I had to get revenge. I calmed myself down and got back to playing gear.


    I played normally for a couple minutes to observe.


    The score was 57 to 55. We are behind by two and the third quarter was almost coming to an end. Also I notice that the opposing team were more relaxed in guarding me and had at least eighty percent of their attention on the person in front of them. Meaning they believe I would pass the ball.


    I grin a bit thinking about it. This time I slowly dribbled the ball down.


    ¡°LONG LOOK AT THE TIME AND HURRY UP AND GET THE BALL DOWN THERE!¡± I heard the coach yell, but I got my own plan. Revenge was best served within five minutes.


    Number fifteen was in front of me and there was sixteen-seconds left on the clock. I dribbled to left, he followed. Then I sped it up. Left, left, right, left, right, right, right, left. These were the fakes and drives I made. Then I lurched my body up like was getting ready to shoot and since he was a step far from me his body came flying forward to block me. He had this ridiculously annoying grin on his face that my body came back down and I blast right pass him for an easy layup.


    The crowd went wild!  We were tied up again.


    I could tell that he was piss and it was a good thing. We went back down onto the defense. The point guard passes the ball to him and he came driving the ball at me. He stops before me and feint to the right. I didn''t fall for it since I had been watching his movements since the beginning of the game. Then when he tried to switch the ball to his left hand I saw an opening. I rushed in used a dark flower palm to the ball knocking it down the court. THATS RIGHT I USED AN INGAME SKILL! Just kidding I hit the ball down the court and I chased after the ball like a hawk on his prey.


    I grabbed the ball and was about to do a layup when I saw a rampaging gorilla charging down. I faked it like was going to shoot before I pulled it back down. This fake send him flying to the outside of the court. Then I shot it like any regular shot.

    We were ahead by two points. I showed off a lot just now. I looked at Wenxin and she was clapping along with the home crowd. Then I saw my parents.


    I went back down to the other end of the court and the other team¡¯s coach pulls number fifteen out of the game after those mistakes. After another minute the coach pulls me out of the game.


    In the fourth quarter with three minutes left the coach threw me back in again. The score was 72 to 73. We were behind by one again. The problem with me in the game is our defense is actually weaker when I am in it but our offense was somehow stronger. Go figure right?


    This time stood guard on the front and this guy in front of me number twenty four instead of passing, driving did a step back fade away three. Right in front of my face. He might as well be playing with his airplane at that point because there was no one I could block that. All I could do was put my hands up.


    He drains a three right in my face!


    I took the ball and dribbles it down too. I passed the ball to Dong and he saw the look in my eyes. He drove in and I ran to an open spot right behind him. He flings the ball back right over his shoulders. I caught it and drains that three with no suspense at all. I didn''t know it at the time but I was in the zone. Basically nothing I do could go wrong, or so I thought anyway.


    As I ran back number twenty-four came right in my face again. He pulls up for a three but my hand flew out and knocks the ball right out of his hand. He went through the whole motion of a shot before he notice the ball was gone from his hand and I was running down the court with it. Sadly enough I could not do a coast to coast play before his teammates were rude as hell sticking to me like glue when I ran down the court. I saw Feng and I threw the ball under my leg and it went through both my leg and the other players leg and was caught my Feng. Feng then tosses the ball into the air and I really want to say I dunked it but it was Ren who came from behind and Jammed it into the hoop.


    After that I missed my next shot and made another three before the game ended with us winning by five points.


    After we shake their hands and said some superficial words the game has ended.


    ¡°Haha Long you did great!¡± my mom praised.


    ¡°Why did you only score 10 points? Look at your teammates. The starters all have at least fifteen.¡±


    ¡°If I was six feet tall too I can probable do that too,¡± I wanted to say but I just nod my head in acknowledgment.

    ¡°Hey Long we are going out you want to come?¡± Dong asks when he jogs over.

    After I left them I followed everyone down to the locker room to take a shower.

    My heart was beating like a drum solo, strong and rapid.

    Basically I was like a fangirl who was just about to meet her idol.

    I immediately calmed the hell down but my heart was still about to leap out of the chest.


    After a while we all gathered up at the front of the auditorium. Wenxin had a group of girls with her and that included Cindy.


    ¡°So whose house we gonna go to play?¡± someone asks.


    ¡°How about we go to an internet cafe? I don¡¯t think any of our house can take thirty people going online at the same time,¡± Ren explains.


    ¡°True but its so expensive through,¡± one of the girls pouts and complain.


    ¡°Xiaoyu if you don''t got the money I can take care of it for you,¡± Long suggests.


    What a tool I thought.

    Everyone laughs and I notice another decently good looking girl, mutter shameless.


    I saw Wenxin about 6 feet away from me talking with some of the guys and girls.

    I gave weak chuckle of confidence as I look Dong in the eyes daring him to say it again. I was a boss and went up to Wenxin and said, ¡°hey babe I¡¯ll pay for you.¡±


    That didn''t happen I turn bright red like a tomato thinking about it.


    ¡°Maybe later. I don''t want to interrupt them,¡± I said hesitantly.


    Dong rolls his eyes, ¡°if you are going to be like that that she is gonna be stolen before you even have a chance. Just go up and say hi.¡±

    He glares back, like he was saying, ¡°why can¡¯t you?¡±

    ¡°Yeah,¡± I answered. Basically I imagine it was like talking to a robot for her with all these answers.


    ¡°Wenxin Long is probable still tired from the game. He is usually a very talkative and nice guy hang with,¡± Dong came in with the save. ¡°Oh and I think he¡¯s level four when we logged off this morning.¡±


    ¡°Level seven,¡± I said corrected him. ¡°What about you?¡±


    ¡°I¡¯m level thirteen,¡± Wenxin said proudly and sticking her chest. It was really cute. I could be in heaven right now.

    ¡°Yeah I am,¡± I answered. At the time my mind just blanked out. I couldn''t think of anything at all.

    There was a fee of five dollars per hour to use their wifi. We also have lifi which is light wifi but normal wifi is faster but just less secure.

So for example there are five cities. Blackwhite City, Blood Moon City, Royal Heaven City, Mercari City, and Confederate City. Blackwhite City gives players three percent extra experience. So if you were originally suppose to get 100 experience from a monster then you will get 103 experience instead. Blood Moon City is actually bit biased toward the beastman, demons, and undead race. Those race will receive an attack bonus of three percent and an additional one percent against the human and elves race. While the Royal Heaven City is biased toward Humans, Elves, and plantaenoids species. They get an attack boost of 2 percent and a defense boost of two percent toward the demons, and undead race. The Mercari city will grant any players that join three percent to defense. Lastly the Confederate city grants all players one percent in the attack, defense, and agility. Furthermore if you stay with them for at least two months all those stats will be boost by two percent.¡±


    Ren basically just information dumped me just now.


    ¡°So which city did you guys choose?¡±


    ¡°I joined Royal Heaven City, along with Long and Feng, and Xiaoyu. I don¡¯t know what city Dong join yet but I heard Wenxin and Cindy also joined Royal Heaven City. Personally I think you should either join the Blood Moon City or the Blackwhite City.¡±


    ¡°Thanks for telling me. I¡¯ll thank about it.¡±


    My first thought was to join Royal Heaven City but then I thought about and decided against it. This was because right now I am way to weak and if Wanxin and I met under these conditions I might get friend zone in less than a second.


    That sent shivers down my spine.


    After everyone got settled down I went into the room everyone was at. I can figure out which city I want to join when I get to level 10.


    When I logged on I was back in the same area I was at before. I could still barely contain my excite as I was killing these spiders one by one. Another hour has passed by before I completed the one hundred kills. I even received twenty-three spider silk. It might have to do with my luck and that is why I receive thirteen more than required for the test. Normally these silks are only a ten percent drop. With the extra kills I actually reached level 8.

    These stats are actually not quite that bad. I have a feeling a Mana would soon surpass my health.


    Since I was still near the Darian Mines I ran back to search for those flowers. It was quite weird the ginger flowers were nowhere in sight. I decided to look it up online and it turns out the ginger flowers were near the top of the Darian mine. Like its at the top of the cave.


    I went around and climbed up to the cave. This game really makes these activities so much easier to do. I don''t believe I can climb a 40 feet high cave this easily. It took less two minutes to get to the top.


    Once I was at the top I looked around and saw a field of ginger flower. Of course I was not a greedy person and would only take what I need. It just so happened I need all 73 stalks here. It also just happened there were only 73 stalks. With the hunting skill it allowed me to pick all 73 stalks in less than 10 minutes.


    After that I went of to kill those pitiful chickens. They didn''t even have the chance to fight back. I salute to you.


    After that I went back to the mining association and received my mining skill along with a list of armor, and weapons I can smith. Next I went to he alchemy association and received my Alchemy skill along with a list of potions I can make. After that the cooking association to receive my cooking skill along with a list of recipes. Most of them were locked since my level was too low. When I say most it means everything but the first two items.


    After that I went back to Dark Mage Rabi¡¯s house and handed over my goods.


    ¡°Well done my apprentice,¡± he praises. ¡°Here is your reward!¡±

    I also received a new robe and 10 silver coins. Furthermore from all the kills and quests I did so far my coins totaled up to 22 silver coins and 53 copper coins. It wasn''t much since just one beginner¡¯s health or mana potion that healed 80 HP cost 50 copper coins. So expensive but what can you do. Oh my new robe was called the Silk battle mage robe.

    I switched out my tattered robe and replaced it with this one. Instantly by stats when up by the stated amount. Furthermore this robe doesn¡¯t look that bad. It was a silk white robe. I actually don''t look like a hobo anymore.

    I left the mage¡¯s house and ran to the shop. I brought 10 health potions and 10 mana potions. Since 100 copper coins equal one silver. It costed me 10 silver coins for both the health and mana potions. The reason it took me so long to kill those spiders before was because I didn''t have potions to speed up my recovery. Then I ran toward the black spider cave. It took a couple minutes. There were a bunch of players around the area. Most of them were level eleven.


    I then overheard one of the groups talking.


    ¡°Second Bro, are you sure that the Queen Widow Spider is in this cave?¡± A warrior said in a dissatisfied tone, ¡°We have been killing these spiders for over half an hour, these level 6 monsters hardly gave us any experience!¡±


    A knight calmly replied, ¡°Bro, it should be in these coordinates. One of our assassin¡¯s friend was killed by the BOSS at this coordinates about half an hour ago. He didn¡¯t dare to revive here, so he revived in the city and dropped three levels. He wasted two hours of training hahaha.¡±


    Wow I thought to myself. This death system is pretty vicious to drop three levels for reviving in a city. I died once but because I was level one I only lost all my experience and a couple items. Mauled to death by foxes. Ugh! So embarrassing.


    The warrior nodded, ¡°Humph, I hope you¡¯re right. If we came here for nothing, you¡¯d have to treat me for tomorrow¡¯s supper.¡±


    ¡°Ha, that¡¯s a small thing!¡± the knight answers. His voice sounds strangely familiar I thought to myself at the time.


    I pulled the hood over my head which casted a dark shadow over my face.


    ¡°Hey Dark Bunny do you want to party up?¡± The six feet tall individual wearing a knight helmet asks me. He saw me walking by and asks. I took a glance and saw that his name was Dunk King. Must be a basketball fan I guess.

    As we all entered the creepy cave decorated in webs a spider instantly shot out from the wall targeting me. I instantly reacted to it by slashing out with my rusty sword. qq . I really need a new sword. Due to the spider¡¯s level being so low I instantly killed it after a few swipes and hack.


    Since my level is 9 and the spider¡¯s level is six the difference in level made it too easy even for a noob like me.

    As we continue through the cave we met many small spiders. Some of them were actually level eight which was pretty helpful to our experience. The funny thing was the spiders were so weak that even the breast milk class was able to kill them in a fight.

    As we walked further in the hair at the end of my back stood up. I looked into the cave within a cave and saw the most horrifying sight. It was a black widow looking spider. It was at least ten feet tall. To say the very least it was ugly and scary. My body felt tense and I could barely think of fighting it. My first instinct was to run as far as possible. My second instinct was to run as far as possible too. My third instinct it was to push the knight into the cave and then run as far as possible.


    Who the hell came up with virtual reality! It would give any players PTSD even if they never went to war.


    I looked at them and it seems that I was the only pussy here. It seems that everyone was use to this already.


    As they look at me they all broke out into laughter.

    I looked at the boss again and it I saw the name and level.

    I deeply breathed in and then breathed out. Its just a game, I told myself over and over again. Did I mention I hate insects? It is not a phobia but it might as well be because aside from butterflies they scare the crap out of me.


    The party ran in and was beginning to fight. Even through I was scared I told myself I already got mauled to death by cute foxes if I die again I die.


    I charged in with them. They began to dish out their attacks. The mages casted level three fireballs. Mhmm I think I should run to mage guide Hua and learn some fireball skills too. The knight ran in and began to hack away at it.It then drew the aggro of the spider.


    The warrior did the same. The archer did his archer thing. The healer was healing the tank and warrior person. Slowly we began to whittle down the Queen spider¡¯s health.


    Furthermore the damage was popping up everywhere.


    On the queen spider these were the damages popping up.

    I looked thankfully at the healer and retreated. I went in and out as I attack it. Slowly the queen¡¯s health was being whittled away.


    Then the most disgusting thing just happened. The Queen spider was pooping out more spiders.

    I am going to be traumatized for life. I did not need to see that process. Our attention quickly got diverted as twenty level six spiders pop out from her ass. The spiders spreads out with their attack.


    ¡°Dark Bunny quickly control the spider¡¯s aggro!¡± Dunk King shouts.


    ¡°How!¡± I shout back. I truly didn''t know at the time.


    ¡°Hit them all at least once to bring the aggro to you and the mages will help you kill it afterwards!¡±

    I ran at them and began to stab each spider once. One by one I gathered their aggro. Once I got five of them I notice something was wrong.

    I got scared and began to kill them one at a time. I even used dark flower palm to sent one of them alway. Then I drained a potion because the healer seems to be preoccupied.

    I spun around and stabbed another spider. This is actually quite fun. As we fought and got a system going the Queen spider¡¯s health was being whittled down. After about five minutes of fighting


    The queen¡¯s health was only about ten percent left. The queen¡¯s eyes turn bright red not that it wasn''t red before. Except now its like raging red.


    Its body expended twice in size! It shot spider after spider out of her butt. This time the spiders were all level 10 each and there were twenty of them.


    I quickly race over to finish one of them off. Then I kill another one. It took a matter of 10 seconds per kill. I managed to kill two but the whole area was flooded with those baby spiders. I began to gather each an every one of their aggro. After I gathered 10 and begin to run around I noticed something strange. The healer was not healing me and was entirely focused on the knight and the warrior. As for the mages they were not even bothering with me. Even the archer was only focus on the Queen spider.


    The next event that happened pissed me off.


    They kicked me out of the group. I saw the look in their eyes. They planned this from the start. Furthermore my level is too low to contend against them. I was literally got butt fucked just now!


    My mind quickly formed a plan. I don''t know if this will work but I used a dark flower palm on one of the spiders sending one of them to the healer.


    Then my body hunch down as I ran at the healer.


    ¡°HELP!¡± the healer shouts since he noticed what was going on.

    Then I slashed out once which killed him before the spider has a chance to kill. My health was at 130 too so I drank a potion bringing back 80 hp. Then it went into a sixty second cool down. My dark flower palm was on 10 second cool down and my triple stab was on 20 second cool down.


    ¡°YOU IDIOT!¡± the leader roars seeing his healer die.  ¡°Mages attack him! Archer aim your arrows at him! Everyone else focus on the queen!¡±


    I ran toward the archer since he would do the most damage against me. I managed somehow to dodge his arrow but I got hit by two fire spell.

    The spiders were still chasing after me. There was 8 of them left to be exact. Luckily their speed is slower than me.


    I appear before the archer and sent out a couple slashes doing a total of 84 damage. My triple stab was still on cool down for another twelve-seconds. I saw another two fireballs coming at me. There was no way I could have dodged it. I used sent out a few more stabs and slices and luckily a did a critical hit which cause a damage of 80 to pop up. This instantly kills the archer.

    Shit! I only have 80 hp left and I still have a cool down of 40 seconds on my potions. I drain down a mana potion and my dark flower palm cool down just finished and the eight spider just arrived.


    Everything was happening in slow motion for me at that moment. I saw three of the spiders in a straight line and I had to test it out! Used a dark flower palm on the first one and aimed it at the one behind it. It instantly hit sending it flying backwards! Then The two hit the third one and all three went flying toward the two mages. The two mages had a panic look on their face!


    Then five damages appear on me.

    I panicked as I reached for my health potion but it still had 30 seconds left on cool down. I waved out my sword and it hit one of the spiders but the second hit me and then the third.

    I saw that the queen spider only had 7 percent of her health left. This is equivalent to 350 health point from my calculations. It defiantly will not be able to last the time it will take me too revive which is ten minutes.


    The two warriors only have half their health left and the knight was about the same. They should still be on cool down with the potions.


    I was debating on whether to use my two full health revival cards are something so trivial at the moment. Between my time of death to now only 20 seconds have passed. I decided that if I don''t I will probable regret it for the rest of my life. Also if do it I will probable regret it later but who knows what the future will hold. I might have like fifty of them in the future or it could be extremely value and I¡¯m the idiot that wasted it on something so trivial as a normal boss monster  in the beginning of the game that I can probable kill with a flick of my finger in the future. The world may never know.


    I used the revival card. Luckily they didn''t even bother guarding my corpse and they were even nice enough to kill all the spiders for me.

    A beam of light appears and they all turn their head to look at me.


    The instant I stabilized I sprinted forward toward the mages. I slashed out with my rusty sword and then i spin and stabs the other mage.

    When I sent him towards the queen widow spider it turns out the queen spider was on my side. One of her hairy legs flew out and kicks him in the face. A large damage popped up and killed him.


    Shit! The queen¡¯s health was at 4 percent now. I raced over and slashed at the knight.

    The knight was about to come and kill me when the spider¡¯s leg came flying out and sent him a few steps backward. I turn around and began to attack the warrior.

    These attacks should put all of them in danger.

    The Queen spider had 2 percent of health left.


    Luckily my dark flower palm cool down finished. I used my martial arts footwork to get around him but I still took a hit.

    Then I used the Dark Flower Palm to sent him toward the Queen Spider.


    Luckily I hit him to be right between the leader Big Long Dragon. The leader slashes down toward the spider but the warrior that I sent towards him luckily got in between preventing the hit. Then spider Queen leg flew and push the two warriors out of the way. Since I haven''t attacked the Queen spider the queen spider¡¯s AI chose to ignore me.


    My triple stab cool down finally finished. I drank a mana potion and then I rushed forward at the leader to unleash a triple stab.


    The Big Long Dragon saw me coming. I launch out my triple stab. It seems like he saw through me as his body waved to the side. This caused my triple stab to miss.

    I came back and launch out a dark flower palm and right after I jumped back  to drink a health potion.


    My flower palm actually missed. Luckily I jumped back in time to avoid the slash this time.


    He pounces forward to try and kill me.

    Turns out he died.


    I swipe out with my sword as he easily avoided it.


    Turns out I got lucky the first time due to being surprised.


    I glance over at the queen and she only had about two percent left. Is this it? Did I just waste a precious revive just like that?

    I couldn''t just give up this easily. I leap forward again and did a stab motion like I was going to use a triple stab but it seems he doesn''t care either way as his body sways to the left to dodge. I then use the sword to create a diagonal arch that he could not avoid.


    He saw that he could not avoid it and decided to slashes out with his sword.

    Then something surprising happened.

    I ran to the wall of the wall behind the spider and jumped up. I stepped on a bulge of the rock and leaped off from it. Then I landed directly behind the back of the spider. Those gymnastics skill I had to learn for Kung fu do come in really handy.

    Both the knight and leader stares at me with bulging eyes for a brief second seeing my acrobatic skills after they unleash that 34 damage. Well, I don¡¯t know about the knight since he  was wearing a helmet but the warrior was defiantly dumbfounded.

    Too late, my rusty sword like a ballerina toward the Queen Spider¡¯s head the moment that negative 34 damage popped up.

    I couldn''t see the rage in their eyes but I knew it was there. I simple didn''t give a fudge about it. I quickly grabbed every loot the queen spider dropped.


    I rolled to the side dodging both of their attacks. Then out of the corners of my eyes I saw a couple items from the people I have killed. I race over and grabbed the bow that the archer dropped with 50 copper coins. I didn''t have time to grab the sword from the warrior. The mage¡¯s body was close by the exit so I ran for the exit as my body bent over to grab whatever the mages drop and they just so happen to drop their wand staff which I didn''t really need but whatever.


    ¡°Block the exit! Bastard you won¡¯t leave here alive or my name isn¡¯t Bai Shui!¡± Big Long Dragon roars.


    ¡°Well you do you!¡± I replied as my dash toward the exit would have shamed even Usain Bolt. I really wonder if Usain Bolt¡¯s last name was really Bolt because it seems too much of a coincident that he was the fast man alive back in the 2000s and his last name just happens to be bolt.


    Anyway my speed was faster than the knight¡¯s so I reach the exit before he could.

    Oh I also went up three levels by the way. This was because since I wasn''t partied with them and I killed it the game system thinks I soloed the queen widow spider.


    Thankfully our GPS tracker in the game is not able to track other players except the ones in your party, and guild. This makes the game a lot more interesting.


    Instead of running outside I decided to run into another entrance inside the cave is what I would like to say but sadly this cave was just one path. So I ran the hell out of there as they chased after me.


    I knew I could not beat them after that little exchange back at the cave. He basically predicted my moves back then after my surprise attack went away.


    I ran around in the woulds and was running back toward the village. The village is a safe zone where killing is not allow. Thank the buddha.


    Oh did I mention that my name is also red so if I do die I would lose two levels and fifty percent of my items. The question is just which items. Ugh they are so harsh with player killers. I honestly did it self defense.


    Then I saw something that made my spine tingle with fright.

    As he died I scooped up his goods and continued running toward the village.


    Luckily the closer I ran to the village the weaker the level players there were. Either that was by design or I was lucky.

    After five minutes I arrived back at the village.


    Sadly the entrance to the village was blocked of course. There was at least ten players there.


    I dodged to the side to avoid the arrows, but the two fire balls still hit me directly slowing me down a bit. Apparently magic attacks have a homing type of effect for a range of 15 degree angle from the intended path.

    Another arrow came flying towards me. I dodge it but a damage number still popped up.

    The warriors, berserk, and knight class all ran and surrounded me but I continued to run toward the warrior that was facing towards the gate of the nooby village.


    I launched forward with a normal sword attack and he dodges. Then he retaliated by swinging out with his sword which I sort of predicted as I unleash a dark flower palm toward his chest. My hands managed to touch his chest before the sword hit me. He was sent flying into the group of mage and archers who just happen to cast a couple of spells. All the spells and and arrows hit him on the back as a couple of damages pop.


    I was running forward using him as a shield.


    Then I ran and jumped into the air as I front flip beautifully over him and the female mage he landed on. Lucky I silently thought to myself. Then I ran pass the city gate and stop completely. Then I was began walking into the City with the sun setting behind my back. As my hand flew into the air giving them the finger.

    Not bad at all. Then I went into my bag to look at all the loot I got. I got a total of 74 silver coins and 67 copper coins. Wow I am rich. Who knew killing players were more profitable then kill monster.

Also they are improving the miss system. Instead of not being able to dodge all the attacks they have decided on a level system for it. For example level one has a 10 percent chance of complete dodge when you dodge. Level two is 20 percent until your dodging skill is at level 10. They also fixed the bug of where the skill moves levels experience are not going up even after being used.


    I honestly did not know about it until just now when the update told me.

    There were also a couple sizzling, hot ladies when I was running by. If my dick wasn''t so small I would defiantly hit them up. I mean if I wasn''t in love with my beautifully gorgeous Wenxin I would defiantly hit them up.


    When I arrived at the office I talked with the registrar and got my city badge. This time I read the guide first before talking. If not I would have had to fork over 5 silver.


    As I walked out I felt pretty proud of myself. Furthermore all my stats went up my one percent which is pretty much nothing sadly. One percent of 50 is still only 0.5.

    As I waited I checked my skills and it turns out the update helped me improve my dark flower palm and Triple stab to level two. Now my flower palm increase my attack by fifty percent.  Triple stab increase my attack damage by thirty percent now. Nice! At this rate when it reaches level ten I will have a triple stab that increase my attack by 120 percent and a Dark Flower Palm with attack increase percentage of 185 percent. It turns out my Dark Flower Palm can only take the base attack without the increase provided by a weapon.


    I checked my dodging skill section and it is level two too.


    ¡°Hey Dark Bunny!¡± I heard a squeaky voice call out.


    I looked over and saw Big Boom or should I say Quiet Squeak because he was skinny and introvert looking.

    We initiated a trade and I was thirty silvers richer than what I was 30 seconds ago.


    After that I ran to the southern forest to try and find the tomb they were talking about. Once I arrive in the forest I saw many players around but I still can¡¯t find the tomb. I checked the map and there were no graveyards. I finally took out the picture clue. It was picture of a house on a lake.


    I opened my map and began to look for a place that had water. What I saw kinda scared the hell out of me. It was in the level 20 to 25 monster area.


    Not to mention I am currently only level eleven. It is basically suicide going against monsters nine levels higher than you. No wonder it was rank A quest. Wait that makes no sense at all since if I level myself up to twenty then it be easy to pass this test. Their must be some kind of twist to this test.


    Ding! An idea just popped into my head. Dong was actually pretty high leveled. I opened up my friends list and I saw Winter Wind, Moomooo, Quatu, and Big Boom. Winter Wind level was 15 and ranked 5039 on the Nations list. Moomooo and Quatu were about sixteen and rank as 2033 and 2085 on the Nations list. Big Boom on the other had was very far behind. Only one level higher than me actually.


    I decided to message to Dong.

    After that I began to kill the level 12 and 13 goblins around me. They were defiantly not that hard and the experience they gave were defiantly not that bad. 0.2 percent per kill. I just need to kill 500 hundred of these to reach my next level. Who am I kidding this sucks ass. I don¡¯t have the time to grind like a dog with my dad breathing down my neck.


    I killed about 40 of these goblins before a dashingly handsome prince came jogging over. He had a light bronze set of armors on with a wooden kneepad and everything. His sword behind his back. He looked like a very poor prince. Behind him were two identically gorgeous girls. They were level thirteen and fourteen. From the looks of it they were at least eighteen.


    ¡°Who are the babes behind you? ;)¡± I quickly messaged him.


    ¡°Hey Bunny!¡± Dong shouts. ¡°This is Sara, and this is Susu. Susu is a healer and and Sara is a mage they are twins. This is Dark Bunny my friend.¡±

    I was speechless. We chatted some more as were went toward Barimoon lake. This was the level 20 to 25 monsters are.

 Chapter 22: Legions Of Werewolves

    After another two hours of traveling and killing level 14 to 18 goblins and level 15 to 19 slugs Dark bunny has finally reach level thirteen. Two level up twice within two hours is a pretty rapid pace. This was all due to killing higher level monsters. Furthermore we killed a few goats and cows along the way.


    Winter Wind was able to level up to level 16 but the two girls were now both level  fourteen and Soso was about to reach fifteen if we kill a couple more goblins.


    Furthermore level fifteen is like the starting point in this game since that is the level that they begin to give out points for you to add to the stats you want. When Dong hit 16 he added six points to strength, and 1 point to endurance and 3 points to agility. In this game you cannot add points to health, mana attack, and defense, but the stats  agility, intellect, strength, endurance, and stamina corresponds to those. Endurance corresponds to health and defense and stamina is more solely focus on health. Agility is to speed. Intellect is to mana. Strength and attack correspond to each other.


    ¡°Hey girls,¡± I heard Dong suddenly say. ¡°Dark Bunny and I need to log off for a bit. We will be back in half an hour or so. Can you wait for us?¡±


    ¡°Yes!¡± one of the girl said happily. It seems like she was in love with Dong. This is such a tragic fate, I mental sighed.


    We logged off and told everyone that we were leaving first. There was only 30 minutes left on our timer anyway.


    When we got back to Dong¡¯s house I called my parents to give them a heads up of where I was.

    After my bathroom visit I came back and logged back on.  The moment we logged on the girls also logged back on not even ten-seconds later.

    When we got inside the forest we immediately saw a pack of harmlessly adorable looking wolves ranging between level 22 and 24. Most of them were 23 through. They were a blackish brown with deep red eyes. Still they look harmlessly adorable but I knew they were not.

    ¡°Stats!¡± I called out as my stats appear before me.

    I sprinted over to the baby wolves as I launch a stab out on each of them. Well to be honest I did not even had the chance. The moment I was 10 feet near them all their attention were focus on me. Unknowingly I had aggro them to the max.

    This is move fifty percent of my health. I looked around and realize that bastard Dong Seng and the two gorgeous looking twins were missing. Did they go to do papapapa? I wondered.


    ¡°DONG SENG YOU BASTARD WHERE THE F*CK ARE YOU!¡± I was yelling from the top of my lungs as I was being chased through a forest by a legion of lvl 23 werewolves. ¡°IF YOU DON¡¯T HELP ME NOW YOU CAN FORGOT ABOUT THAT HOMEWORK!¡±


    Furthermore they were a lot faster than me so even with the Dark Flower Palm knock back effect they were all quickly catching up.


    I thought of an idea while I was running as I jumped toward the trunk of a tree and ricochet myself to the top of a tree branch and began to jump toward another branch.


    I looked back thinking they wouldn¡¯t be able to climb up trees and catch me but I was dead wrong. Literally I was dead wrong because in 10 seconds I would be dead at the rate this going at. Good news is they are slowing down due to having to jump from tree to tree like me.


    ¡°DARK BUNNY WHERE ARE YOU!?¡± I heard Dong shout.


    ¡°OVER HERE!¡± I shout back.

    Then I saw coordinates appear in front of me.


    ¡°FOLLOW THOSE COORDINATES TO ME!¡± Dong¡¯s anxious voice echoes through the forest.


    I looked at the coordinates and my heart skipped a beat. I had to turn around and run through a legion of super deadly werewolves to reach them. FMITAH I shouted to myself. The FMITAH is an abbreviation for certain words. Some of you will know some of you won¡¯t but I don¡¯t mean it literal since I am pretty sure I am straight.


    The good news is in this game in order to increase player addiction and experience they increase the player¡¯s visual prowesses. This way the players are at least able to react. It isn''t by a huge amount but for me it is more than enough to perform my next task.


    I jumped toward another branch but this time I didn''t jump onto the next branch but instead twisted my body around to face the floor. Then I leaped toward the ground. Furthermore I took a healing potion and drink it along side a mana potion.

    When I got to the ground I rolled a bit and begin to run again.

    The werewolves in front ran further ahead while the ones behind were able to react in time.


    I launched out another dark flower palm since the cool down was over. I aimed it so the werewolf would hit another one and I continued to run.


    Honestly there was not a legion of werewolves but there were about 14 of them. Seven of them ran head while four of them were still the same distance as before and the three at the tippity end were the ones to reach me. While I sent two away I dodged the third one and continued to run like the end of the world.


    Good news I managed to outmaneuver a legion of werewolves or fourteen werewolves if you want to be technically correct but the bad news is if I run in a straight line they will catch up and devour me in ten seconds. If I run in a zig zag it might take them 15 seconds but I would be further away from my intended area then running in a straight line. I decided to just run in a straight line.


    9 seconds later.


    One of them was just about 1 feet away from me.


    It leaps into the air like a soaring eagle. My life would have literally flash before my eyes if I didn''t know this was only a virtually reality game but it still pains me to lose equipments and a level.

    While that one moment might have felt like forever in reality or virtual reality in this case it lasted for 1 second.

    I saw a flash of fireball flying at the werewolf before it hit and explode. Giving little old me a little more time to run. I glanced upward and saw that it was our cute mage Soso casting an adorable fireball spell to save my pitiful life. I am forever in gratitude or until I save you too.


    ¡°This way!¡± she yells out.


    My body instantly reacted and ran towards her. She then began to run away too.


    Not even two breathes went by when those stubborn werewolves were right behind us again.


    Honestly these wolves were such a pest. Even with such a beautiful sight in front of me I can¡¯t enjoy it. This gorgeous bubble butt bouncing in front of me.


    She then launches out another fireball spell, followed up by an ice shard spell. It slowed down the wolf for a second or two and that was about it. Then we were running again.


    ¡°Over here!¡± I heard Dong shout.


    I ran towards him. He was about approximately 3 seconds from where I was.


    ¡°See that X? Jump over it!¡± Dong shouts.


    When I saw the X I mentally thought my speed increased but it didn¡¯t. The werewolf¡¯s teeth sinks into my shoulders as a huge number appears.

    Shiiiii I only have 35 health left when I leaped over the X as a sword came swing in on the werewolf on my shoulder. Thank the heavens for that heal or else I would be dead.


    Once I landed on the other side I saw a werewolf coming at me through the air. I used the Dark Flower Palm to hit it right in the face sending it backwards into another werewolf. Then all twelve werewolves came knocking into that one. They coincidently stopped in midair and fell directly on top of the X.


    Boom!


    They fell through the ground as Dong hit the last werewolf into the hole.


    ¡°Wow! How did you set this up so quick?¡± I asked.


    ¡°Oh I brought a cave digger seal from the store. It caused one gold so I only brought one. We can only do this once,¡± Dong explains.


    ¡°Oh how are we going to kill them? I don''t think Soso can kill them all.¡±


    ¡°Haha of course I thought of it already,¡± Dong laughs as he brought out two bows and two sack of arrows.


    ¡°I see,¡± I dumbfounded said. Did he plan all this from the start? No way I thought to myself. He can¡¯t even add right in school never mind such an elaborate plan. He probable has all the item on hand and just thought of it on the spot.


    I took the bow and arrow sack from his hands and equipped it.


    ¡°Lets begin,¡± Dong announces as he notch his first arrow and fired. Then he fire another one after that. I followed his example as Soso fired her mage spell. Her two strongest spells were fireball and ice shard while she rapid fire her stone spell. It did way less damage but at least it is a rapid distance spell she can fire.


    It took around half an hour to kill all 14 since my arrows were only doing 5 damage at a time. It took over two thousand arrows and eventually I had to resort to using rocks to kill them. Luckily we had a mage here to do long distant attacks. She even created big boulders for us to throw at them.


    After killing these wolves my level went from thirteen to fifteen.

    Its gets a bit boring reading it all but the point is from the first level to the second requires an activation of fifty times. From two to three it requires an activation of two hundred times. Every level after that is a multiple of three from the last amount required.

    ¡°Oh I got some pepper, salt, sugar, and oil if you need it,¡± Dong said.


    I sarcastically said to Dong, ¡°is there nothing you don''t have in that bag?¡±

    Why the hell would a game like this have a pan. Wait medieval time still have cooking wares.


    I went to gather some woods and began to cook all their chickens. My cook skill went up by one level thanks too this.


    I still had 2 quarts of the flammable oil. Dong letted me keep it incase I need it to cook other stuff later. The girls has to log off in 4 more hours so we decided to preserver through it all even with my stats being reduced by 30 percent.


    I would only be able to attack in between but this helped me get use to this game. Furthermore Dong gave me some advice.


    He told me to switch off my automatic skill. Meaning when I use a skill the game would automatically make me go through the whole motion of the skill. With it off I can have more control when I go through the motion. Meaning when I use triple stab now I can aim for other areas besides the center of the opponents chest.


    I practiced it a couple times and it turns out it is a little harder to use than automatic but it defiantly gave more chooses. Meaning I have more originality of use and it is less predictable when I face players.


    We decided to level here for another hour before we head for the intended location.

    After an hour the ditch finally disappeared. Also I was getting carried like a child through a mob in this game to finally reached level 16. Furthermore I just realized that I was receiving more experience points than my fellow teammates. It might be due to my demon race. Since my stats are decrease by thirty percent during daytime and a ten percent increase during nighttime they might be trying balancing it out for the demon race. Otherwise who would pick the demon race with such a big disadvantage.


    This time I checked my stats and there was a thirty percent reduction on all the stats besides intelligence. I guess their thought process is more like how can you make someone¡¯s intelligence go down when intelligence is not a physical thing.

    After comparing my experience gains with Dong, Susu and Soso I found that my experience bonus was about ten percent. This means I can kill ten percent less monsters to level up. Then again my stats being so low it is gonna be a drag when facing higher level monsters for experience.


    Whatever I will figure it out when the time comes. Plus it is just my base stats anyway. So once I get better equipments and stuff my base stat reduction won¡¯t matter that much from a mathematical stand point.


    Did I mention I even found some plants to use for alchemy? They were level one vigor flowers. I found 25 stalks of them and since none of my teammates knows alchemy or ingredient picking skills I kept them all.


    It took a while but we finally reached the lake from the picture that was given. I looked around and I didn''t see any Tomb or dungeon entrances at all.


    ¡°Dong help me find the entrance.¡±


    We all began to look around the lake but there was nothing at all. I even looked under huge boulders and still nothing.


    ¡°Hey Long sometimes they might place the entrance in the middle of the bodies of water. Lets go into the water and check it out,¡± Dong suggests.


    It sounds reasonable enough so I decided to follow that advice. As I walked into the Lake I could feel the heat leaving my virtual body. It was freezing cold! I braced myself and dived into the water. Then I looked back and saw Dong and the girls standing at the end of lake.


    ¡°Are you guys coming?¡± I asked.


    ¡°Nope! It is freezing cold,¡± he boldly admits. ¡°I¡¯ll keep the girls here occupied while you do your thing.¡±


    I couldn''t argue with that so I dived into the water. He has already helped me enough by getting this far. There are some things I must do myself.


    Diving deeper into the water a small oxygen tank thingy appeared before my eyes. It showed me my oxygen level and the amount of time I have left before my health begin depleting.

    I accepted and I am now broke but I gain 10 skills from this book. I highly doubt any other players receive ten skills at this stage of the game.


    Excitedly I quickly learned all ten of the skills only to realize that out of the ten skills 7 of them were locked. I didn''t know whether to laugh or cry about this. Lets talk about the skills I can use first.


    The first skill was called Lightning Blade. It requires a total of 120 mana point. The description was by channeling lightning elemental energy through the sword I was able to create the lightning blade style attack.


    My attack damage would double with a fifteen percent chance of a five-second stun. Furthermore if I level it to ten my attack damage output would be three times stronger than normal. Furthermore the chances for a stun increases from fifteen percent to fifty percent. Also the stun time goes from five-seconds to eight-seconds. In a one on one this would be OP as hell. Surprisingly enough this is only a B rank skill so I wonder what a S rank skill would be like. Also it has a cool down time of thirty-seconds.


    My second skill which I love by the way is a healing skill. It is called Lightning Regeneration. It is a forty-five second cool down time and 80 mana to heal 100 hp. If I can level it up to ten then it would cost 400 mana to heal 800 hp. I wonder if my health would even reach that high.


    My third skill was actually an area trapping skill. It can target up to 7 feet. It¡¯s name is Lightning vortex. It requires 90 mana points. This move can stun all my opponents within a 7 feet radius for a total of three-seconds. Also it would stun any monsters for a total of 5 seconds. It might not seem like a lot of time but I can get in 2 skills or a total of 6 to 8 normal attacks in that amount of time. The problem is this skill is a combat mage skill and it require a quick chant and body movement. I need to have my hand or sword make contact with the ground while I shout lightning vortex. It has cool down time of 60 seconds. The good news is that if I can increase the level to 10 then the area increases to 20 feet and the stun time goes from three-seconds to eight-seconds.


    Just these three skills alone I felt like if I encounter that same situation as before I can easily beat them all. Then I realize that my mana would not hold up. I have a total of 413 mana currently. 120 for lightning blade plus 90 for the Lightning vortex has already taken half my mana. Not to mention I would need 80 for heal. Also triple stab and flower palm together takes 70 mana. With a mana potion I can probable do these attack twice each at the very most. So I have to plan them well since I can only drink one mana potions every sixty-seconds.


    The fourth skill to seventh is locked until level 20. The seventh and eighth are locked until level 30. The ninth and ten is locked until level 50. I can¡¯t even see the name or description of them. If the first three is already so OP I wonder how much more Op the last seven are and if the skill first volume of the first Quasi Mage would be even more OP.


    With this I feel that my chances of passing the Tomb quest has gone up on a quantitive leap.

    After the euphoria moment was over I realize something very stupid. I didn''t borrow enough money to get back to confederate city.


    ¡°Ugh! LONG ZHANG WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID!¡± I roared into the sky. Honestly there was nothing I can do about it.


    ¡°Hey Dong you can go ahead and do what you need to do and we can meet up again after I enter the tomb. I don¡¯t have enough to get back to confederate city,¡± I message him.


    ¡°Np. I¡¯ll go level with some other people. The girls have to log off anyway. You want anything eat later? My mom is making Ginger and scallion lobster ^^¡± he messages back.

    I went back into the forest and killed a couple more monsters. I visited the Widow Queen spider¡¯s cave to see if she revived yet and she hasn¡¯t.


    It took about an hour before I finally got 25 silver coins to use for the teleportation circle.


    When I finally used it I was back at Confederate city. Then I realized something I am going to need mana potions and health potions. I quickly ran to the Alchemist association here and brought 100 veils for one silver coin. Basically 1 copper per veil. Then I began to use their furnace to refine the 63 ginger flowers I had left. Furthermore I also refined the 25 Vigor Flowers. It went something like this.

    By the time I finished which was ten minutes after I had 29 mana potions and 16 health potions.


    Surprisedly some people already reach level 6 in alchemy. My alchemy skill only went up to level two after all that.


    So currently the Alchemy skill is capped at level 50 and the player¡¯s level is capped at 75. In the game this is actually day number two but in real life only 17 to 18 hours since the release time has passed.


    The highest level player is currently 20 at the moment. Their level time has really slowed down after reach level 15.


    When I finally left the entrance I was back in the wild. I really wanted to purchase some equipments but I don¡¯t have the money to do so. The life of a poor gamer I guess.


    It has been quite some time that Dong has left but I began to wonder back into the forest as I head towards the Swamp Forest.


    As I stroll through this dangerous forest I was killing nearby monsters as I walked along leaving a trail of monster carcass in my wake. These level 15 to 20 monsters barely gave me any experience. Furthermore their drops suck. On average it was 46 copper coins, and a couple of wood rank swords, shields, and other useless items I can¡¯t use.


    As I was strolling through this forest off the main road since my name is still red I heard a rustle. My eyes unconsciously shifts over to the sound of the rustle. Nothing was their at all. I brought out my sword and slowly walked over. Then there I saw something that startled me. About 30 meters away I saw a huge black bear looking creature battling it out with the Rising Dragon. If you don''t remember who that is go back to and check chapter 17. Their group of seven somehow got larger. Now it is a group of twenty. It is a massive upgrade from before. Big Long Dragon was now level sixteen just like me believe it or not. Dunk King was the same level too. As for the other players they were either 14 or 15. So break it down out of the 20 people there are four level fourteens, twelve level fifteens and five level sixteens.


    It was pretty intimidating force against a cute little bunny like me. Still even through I am cute and adorable it doesn¡¯t mean I am not capable.


    As I snuck closer I was now able to see the bear¡¯s stats. It still had 80 percent of his health.

    What the hell? Isn''t this boss a little too over powered I might add? Those wolves that were level 23 didn''t even have stats like these. Not only that but Bosses also get stat boosts so isn''t his real stats around 200 in attack? Then again this is an Iron Tier boss. There might be an iron weapon that it might drop.


    My brain began to work over time as I thought of strategies and ways that I might be able to take that boss. Still how lucky is this group to find two bosses in one day? Furthermore they picked Confederate City too. This might either be fate or karma. They always say karma is the B word but whose B word is it in this case? Anyway if I can do once I can do it again.


    As my brain work over time I yelled out stats to look at my stats.

    It didn''t change at all and my stats are still reduced due to the sunlight. How great is that? Should I call Dong over? Then I remember about an Ancient Book I read about the Romance of the Three Kingdom. There was a strategy used by some famous Chinese guy in the book whose name I cannot remember but I remember the strategy.


    The strategy was to have your enemies fight your enemies and then you can swoop in to take the kill.


    I messaged Dong, ¡°hey Dong need you to do me a favor. Can you announce to the world that at coordinates (124.5543)(-60.4356) that there is an Iron Tier boss call the Black Bear King?¡±

    Not even a minute went by when I saw a group running in. I quickly hid into the trees and watched the battle from afar.

    I wish I have super hearing but I don¡¯t so I can¡¯t hear 50 meters away over these loud barbaric battle cries but if I were to guess it would go something along these lines.


    ¡°Fuck who was it that gave them this bosses location!¡±


    ¡°There shouldn''t be many players in these locations. How did they even know? We made sure to aggro it away from the main road!¡±


    ¡°Whoever it is when I find out I will skin them alive.¡±

    Okay I should stop imagining stuff since it is getting way too dark. These are disturbing thoughts indeed.


    I stayed hidden and waited and waited. This was because my stats were too weak and I would only have one chance with it. My one hit has to be able to kill it for me to steal the loot. Thankfully I learn three new skills, lightning vortex, lightning blade, and Lightning Regeneration.


    Luckily the my Lightning blade increases my attack by double so I think I can do at the very least 20 damage and the most 30 damage. Basically it means I have to time it so well that it might as well be luck. If only there was a way to temporarily increase my attack.


    As the health went down my excitement grew. My blood was boiling. I am such an¡­ Asshole.

 Chapter 26: Power Play

    As I watch the Black Bear King¡¯s health go from 80 percent to 50 percent it got me thinking. With so many people out there fighting there is bound to be good loot for me to take off of the ground. So why am I just laying on top of this tree waiting?


    I watch the battle go on. Right now on the field there was at the very least 200 players there. I saw at least 20 of the players here were level 19 which is in the top ten percent. The lowest were level 14 who are getting slaughter like chickens in a factory by the way. I feel kind of bad for them because they are basically cannon fodders of the group.


    Then I thought for a bit and I realized by I didn''t race out before. It is because with my thirty percent stat reduction I would get slaughtered like a chicken in a chicken nuggets factory just like them. Still there is no point in me rushing out because the items are not going anyway. The drops from players will get larger as time goes on. This battle was hectic.


    Roughly 5 to 8 minutes passed and the boss¡¯s health was at twenty percent. Then another 4 minutes passed and the boss¡¯s health went to 10 percent. This was my time to act. The moment I got up and jump down from the tree I saw the boss¡¯s eyes glow black. Its fur standing up like a porcupine.


    ROAR!


    Rushing in from all over the forest were black bears ranging from level 15 to level 20.


    The stampede of black bears race passed me like I was invisible. So thats why it is called Black Bear King. I counted that there is at least 200 black bears charging out from all over the forest.


    This could actually work to my favor I thought to myself. Like the saying goes my enemies misery is my personal joy.


    I charged out from behind the bear and it seems that I was not the only one with the same idea since I saw about twenty other players charging out at the same time I did.


    As I blend in with the herd of black bears I also began to pick the items off of the ground. It ranges from money to wood tier weapons to mana potions, and health potions. So far nothing significant has popped up.


    I ran straight for the bear king again while blending in with the herd of black bears.


    From time to time I would even help out the players by ending their life early. While they were defending against the black bears I would come up from behind and stab my sword right through their spines and then take their items. One person even dropped a wooden ring that raises health by 30 points.


    Another person I killed dropped a necklace that raises mana by 50 points. Just these two items already increase my survivability by a lot.


    After I killed three players it seems that they caught onto what i was doing.


    Now when a player saw me they would try to attack me but I would slide back and maneuver myself to behind a black bear for protection.


    There was only 5 percent health left on the bear and I knew I had to hurry.


    When I saw four level 20 players coming out of no where I knew right then and there it was the leaders of four of the groups here. Their names were Vera, One Sword, Mango, and Nukpana.


    As they rush toward I also rushed forward. I already formulated a plan inside my head while I was doing so.


    The four leaders arrive 2 seconds before me and already unleashed their special skills. One Sword and Nukpana release the swordsman special skills one swipe, while Vera release a berserker¡¯s special skill Berserker¡¯s Combo which increase the attack power by 1 percent for each additional hit added to his combo. Mango whose a martial art class on the other hand releases a skill called Internal blow. This skill bypass defense by 10 percent and when trained to level ten can bypass defense by 50 percent.


    With all four of these attack raining down on him the Bear King¡¯s health went from 4 percent to three percent in an instant. It still wasn¡¯t time yet.


    There were now eleven players surrounding the bear king while the others held off the black bears and other players. These players were all level 19 and up and pretty nice equipments. I was the twelfth player. While they battled I ran around like a maniac taking advantage of the situation to stab them one at a time. They defended from time to time but in the end they chose to ignore me because their attention was split between the bear and the other 10 players above level 19 while I was at level 16 with measly equipments.

    In less than 30 seconds they whittle down the bear King¡¯s health to 1 percent which I found it impressive since it took an army of 200 and 18 minutes to whittle it down to 4 to 5 percent. Then it took these eleven players less than 1 minute to whittle it down to 1 percent. Going by this rate it would have take them 33 minutes to kill the bear king.


    This meant they had fire power equal to half of the players here with 11 players.


    I saw the bear king¡¯s health went to about half a percent and this was my time to make the power play that I kept playing over and over in my head. I just hope it goes like I planned.


    I blew forward and unleashed a dark flower palm at the bear King¡¯s chest. I managed to blow it forward 5 meters which was just enough to cause all eight of the eleven players¡¯ special skill to completely miss the bear king.

    Furthermore I jumped backwards so none of the attacks hit me. Then I sprinted forward like a jack rabbit. They recovered it time and someone


    Most of them were shocked but came back to reality as they also sprinted forward.


    When I got close to the bear king I raised up my fist timing the distance the eleven players would be at. They chose to ignore me again since the health of the King was so low and they don''t want the others to gain the advantage.


    One person who was close to the bear manages to unleash a another skill.

    It looks like it only have between 50 to 70 health left.


    ¡°LIGHTNING VORTEX!¡± I roared out as I smash my fist onto the ground. Lightning surges out from the ground eclipsing a seven feet radius around me. All eleven players including the bear king was stunned with a minus 5 appearing above their head.


    Then I unleashed a triple stab at the bear King which took 1 second.

    It was critical hit! Oh my god! I remember thinking to myself.

    I light flew down as my level went from sixteen to eighteen and three fourth of the way in less than a second.


    I just fucking killed it. Also the three seconds was over. I quickly crouch down and grabbed everything the bear king dropped and stuffed it into my inventory.


    This all happened in less than 4 seconds. Since I was grabbing the items while my level when up.


    I was completely surrounded with no possible escape at all. The surrounding one hundred twenty something players left surround me in a huge circle while these eleven players here surrounded me in a tiny circle.


    Shit! I should have thought this through I thought to myself! I am like fuck a guy dead right now.

    All of them stood there unmoving. As I could see their murderous looking eyes.


    They didn''t attack but I knew they were not going to let me go.


    ¡°Hand over the Bear King¡¯s loot!¡± Mango demands.


    He was a medium built man. Looks to be in his early twenties.


    ¡°Why don¡¯t we just kill him and camp his body!¡± The level 20 berserker suggests with his gravelly voice. His name is Vera and he looks to be in his late thirties and a biker¡¯s gang.


    ¡°I don¡¯t think you want to do that,¡± my voice suddenly squeaks out as my brain worked like a super computer.


    ¡°Why,¡± Mango asks with his squinty eyes.


    My brain was working on logging out of the system and when I mentally press the log out button a warning screen appears.


    System Warning: Force quit while in battle will cause your body to be in a temporary status for five minute. During these five minutes it will be considered you are still in game. In order to remove the status you not deal or take any damage for 5 minute.


    Time: 4 minutes and 54 seconds


    While this took a while to explain it took me less than a breath or two to read.


    Basically I had to stall another 4 minutes and 54 seconds.


    ¡°Uh why?¡± I stuttered. ¡°Because¡­¡±


    I was still thinking of an excuse and then an epiphany stuck my mind. It was like a lightbulb moment in those cartoon shows.


    Then I continued as they all glared down on me hatefully, ¡°because right now I have killed a couple people on the field and my name is red. Which is a good thing for you guys. Which means right now I have chance of dropping fifty percent of my loot. Is that correct?¡±


    ¡°Yes that is correct. Wouldn¡¯t that be a reason for us to kill you?¡± Vera sneers.


    ¡°Yes, it would but there is a problem,¡± I suddenly shouted. ¡°Not only did I killed I picked up quite a few equipments, potions and etc. At least to the point where my inventory was almost full.¡±


    I could see their killing intent slowly increasing the more I talk.

 Chapter 28: Running

    ¡°Alright swordsman and anybody who can use sabers here roll for it,¡± Mango commands.


    In a second or two they all materialize a dice in their hand and then they threw it. The dice flew and my time hits four minutes and fifty-four seconds. It means I can do an instant log out. While they all looked at what they rolled I pressed the log out button.


    ¡°Well I would love to stay and chat but I got to go so later,¡± I waved politely while my body dematerialize while my voice echoes out.


    I did not have a problem with not being able to log back in for an hour. This was actually a great opportunity for me to take a nap for the rest of the night. I mean there is still 3 hours left in game before day time is over.


    While I couldn''t log into the game I could still log on to view my character¡¯s stats and storage.

    My stats went up which wasn''t bad. Then I looked into my storage and saw three new times that the bear dropped and my jaws literally dropped onto the table. This was because the bear didn''t just drop one 1 iron tier item but 2!

    I wanted to run over to Dong right now and wake him up but I chose not to. Instead I moved on to my next item.

    I figured it has been a couple hours in game and nobody would waste their precious time camping me in the beginning of the game.     The knight begins to rub his chin like he was thinking. ¡°Alright you can go aggro some monsters and we will wait here.¡±


    Wow what kind of luck do I have, I couldn''t help but laugh. The moment that I log on and they present me with an opportunity to escape?


    Then I message to Dong, ¡°Hey Dong is Big Boom still around?¡±


    ¡°Yeah I think so. He said he and his party will farming there. Why?¡±


    ¡°Well I am being camped right now and could use his help to draw some attention away.¡±

    Then I sent him my coordinates and told him to wait for my signal. ¡°Also I told him to get some monster aggro ready just incase.¡±


    Couple minutes later I saw the warrior aggroing some monsters back. There were 2 bears, and 4 goblins. These were actually easy kill.


    ¡°Now!¡± I messaged Big Boom!


    Then I saw Big Boom being at level 18 running into the middle of the crowd.


    I saw all the player¡¯s attention shifts to Big Boom and I revived right then and there when their attentions split.


    The moment I materialized I sprinted like death was upon me. They heard the sound of my footsteps and their attention turns back to me. I instant equipped everything I could. A couple of the archers launches their skills.


    Out of the corner¡¯s of my eyes I saw the motions. I shifted my weight to the right and due to the distance I was able to dodge most of the arrows but in those couple of seconds the rest of the players guarding me got into formation.


    They all began to activate their skills to attack. Thankfully I got those boots to boost my agility by 5 and defense by 18. Right now my agility hovers around 42.


    I did a spin move to dodge two of the swords and a lance that was coming in. The warrior¡¯s sword speed was a lot faster than the lance so I was able to dodge the lance and one sword but the third sword hit my rib cage.

    I took the damage and continued to run while another barrage of arrows rains in from the sky.


    I got hit twice and managed to dodge the rest.

    Another group came up to intercept me. It was two warriors, and a knight.


    Right now I am very thankful for Big Boom and his companions for distracting the mages for me.


    As I got near them I slam my fist to the ground as a stream of lightning surges out. They were stunned.


    I ran passed them and was into the forest home free.


    I continued to run but I could see that my stamina was dropping from 100 percent to 85 percent.


    I slowed down my pace.


    Then I opened the map and ran toward the Tomb of Emperor Azir Ashura.
