《Awakening of the Unknown》 Prologue Prologue: For countless years there has been a lake of blood named Devil''s Origin. This lake is a lake of many mysteries, thus causing the land around it to be called the Bewitched land. This lake was originally a hole in a battlefield. A war between two empires, the Calise Empire and the Haril Empire. resulted in this hole being created. The land in which the war took place on was a huge rock, this resulted in none of the blood, water and other liquids to not be absorbed into the ground. Most of the blood in the war came into the hole, resulting into a pool of blood being formed. This pool was nothing special, until the special event occurred. An important cultivator of the Haril Empire was making a breakthrough on the pool of blood, so he was guarded by the top expert of the empire. The top expert of the Calise Empire noticed this and tried to kill of the cultivator making the breakthrough knowing it will cause the demise of his Empire. The 2 experts fought each other and used many magical artifacts which was thrown into the pool after being used. In the end, the expert of the Calise Empire self-detonated trying to kill both the expert and the cultivator making the breakthrough to die. The expert used a magical artifact to preserve the cultivators life in exchange that he dies. Since the artifact protected the cultivator from harm, most of the energy was absorb by the artifacts in the pool. The cultivator reached a critical point of his breakthrough and passed it, but he had to undergo a tribulation of lightning, fire, water and ice. First was the tribulation of water, which the cultivator easily endured. The remaining tribulation water fell into the pool of blood expanding it. After that was the trial of ice, which was surpassed and left as chunks of ice on the surface of the blood pool. Then it was the fire trial which was surpassed, the fire mainly absorbed by a fire artifact. The rest melted the tribulation ice into water that merged with the pool or melted artifacts. The energy stored in the artifacts melted merged with the pool, although the pool looked the same, it was entirely different. Finally the trial of lightning descended, the cultivator looked at the sky with despair in his eyes as he knew he couldn''t survive it. Ready to accept his fate, he sat cross legged on the pool. The lightning descended and to the cultivators surprise, the lightning was absorbed by the pool. Eventually the trial finished, with all the energy being absorbed by the pool. The pool was significantly bigger and now became a pond. The cultivator eventually led the empire to war, and after he returned to this very same pool. He threw in a pill as gratitude in saving his life. The result of was shocking as all the dead corpses on land and blood was absorbed into the pool. The man was once again shocked. Then the pill returned, but was blood red and was much more strong. The man took the pill and advanced extremely in cultivation, which excited him. He made the land the sacred land of the empire and told the empire to give the pool offerings (like dead corpses, pills and animals, but mostly corpses and animals) every day, and to put in a item of their choice with more corpses after every year. The man did this as he knows the amount of corpses the pool absorbed will equal to the offerings from the empire after a year. The pool was called the God''s Fortune. The empire rose dramatically in strength from the treasures they acquired from the land. It prospered for many years until another event. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. A dead corpse of a Demonic Azure Dragon fell into the pool. The pool absorbed the corpse and it''s bag of holding which contained many pills, artifacts and precious items, but got contaminated by the Demonic energy of the dragon . Normal Demonic energy meant nothing to the pool but this Demonic energy was too much for the pool to handle. The pool absorbed everything in the vicinity of the land, all the precious ores and all the energy were absorbed. The Haril Empire came to investigate it, but the first person to enter was absorbed. The other people were alerted and were shocked. Eventually the sacred land became the forbidden land of the Empire. Anything that enters gets absorbed, all energy present in the air gets absorbed, all ores get absorbed and etc. Countless years later, the Empire still exists because of the items from pool, but it has severely weakened into that of a weak empire. The land has helped the Empire a little has they don''t need to defend it from intruders, it is still a part of the land of the Empire as it still hopes for the pool to return to normal. Pond has turned into a lake and cover a bigger portion of the land. Then came the fated day, the pool turned into a whirl pool and started rapidly absorbing energy. The radius of the suction extended past the land and into the empire, and the clouds in the air churned. Suddenly, loud thunder is heard and a pitch black tribulation lightning bolt, countless times stronger than the man from before faced, falls from skies and hits the pool. The absorption power stops and the mist from the lightning bolt clears up, revealing a naked 14 year old standing in the middle of where the Devil''s Origin Lake should have been. To be continued. Author''s note: Hey guys, hope you enjoyed the prologue. I just thought of this idea on the train and came home to write the prologue. This is a rough version and is not fully planned out. Chapter 1: Chapter 1: A blinding light appears, and when it disappears I see weird things. Brown things with little green things on it are in the distance, then a word pops up in my head Tree. The weird things were trees, and I wonder how I thought that. I then thought what is this voice in my head, what is a head. Then that''s when a massive migraine hit me. Bits and pieces of other people''s memories started to flood into my brain, things I didn''t understand appeared in my head. I learned what heads and trees were, and I learned I''m living in a world called Nanoken. I feel unconscious and woke up 2 hours later. After I woke up, I felt much smarter and I also learned something about myself, I was a non-sentient blood pool before. I was confused on how I became sentient and a humanoid, and that''s when thought My goal in life is to find out what I am and how I became like this. I put my foot out to take a step when my body exploded into a lake of blood. After a minute it reformed back into a shape of a humanoid. That''s when I realized I need to control my body so that I can walk around normally and function like a normal Human a familiar but unfamiliar word and thing. Then a random memory popped up in my head, it was a memory of a man sitting cross legged and doing something I think is called Meditation. I copied what he did and after a few minutes I realized nothing was happening. Then I felt my body move on its own like it did it out of memory after doing the action multiple times. I circled a unknown white energy through tiny pathways in my body and that is when the words Qi, Cultivator and Meridians appeared in my head. The qi circulated throughout my body, solidifying it. After a hour of meditation, I felt I could walk. I retried the attempt at walking, and it was successful. Although my body was solid now, I instinctively knew that if I wanted to turn back into the lake of blood, I could. I walked towards the forest, and after a half an hour I reached it. I felt tired and hungry, so I went into the forest in search for a food and a possible shelter. After searching the forest for a little while, I ran into a human. I waved my hand at him and said "Hello", but the human''s eyes opened wide and started screaming something hysterically. I tried walking closer towards the human to try pacifying him, but it swung the sword it held in its hand. The sword cut through my left hand like it was going through butter, my left hand turned into blood. I felt a little pain, something a child could tolerate, but I started screaming as it was my first time experiencing pain. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. I tried running out of the place as the human realized he was in the dominate position. He advanced on me while I was panicking, then I felt an urge coming from the blood. I look towards pile of blood and I felt my qi manipulating it by instinct. The blood turned into a dagger, with a blood red gem embedded into its handle while the blade extended 5 inches and had a carving of a dragon on it. The man blocked my view of it, but I called on the dagger, knowing it will return to me. The dagger lifted off the ground and sailed through the wind towards me. The dagger went straight the stomach of the human coming towards me and landed in my right arm. The man fell forward, which I thought was him trying to attack me. I closed my eyes and swung the dagger. I felt an impact, and when I opened my eyes, I saw my dagger impaling through the neck of the man. He stared wide-eyed at me before falling dead on the ground. I pulled the dagger out of his neck and it turned back into my left hand and reattached itself. I turned to look at the corpse, and strangely, I didn''t feel disgusted at it. It felt normal to me but the thought of killing someone for the first time was still a little discomforting to me. As I was staring at the corpse, an another memory surface, it was one of my abilities, Blood Tale. It allowed me to absorb the blood of someone and get his/her memories. It can be all their blood or a drop of their blood. Another ability appeared in my mind, and it was Blood Feed. I can absorb the blood of others to heal myself, feed my hunger and strengthen myself. The emergence of my abilities greatly surprised me as well as excited me. I look to the corpse as I used my Blood Feed and saved one drop of blood, which I used Blood Tale on. The memories of the human flooded into my brain, overflowing it, which made me black out and faint. To be continued. I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter. Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Cero Jenkins''s POV I was a royal guard working for the royal court of the Haril Empire. Although I was a mere weakling in the 9th level of Qi refining Stage, my family was a famous loyal family of the Haril Empire which will never betray it, which is why I can become a royal guard. Another reason someone as weak as me can become a royal guard is because the Haril Empire turned from a super strong empire to an extremely weak empire on the decline. It was also because my father was a personal guard of the royal family, so he pulled some strings to bring me in. I was at home drinking some beer, when the court called me in. It seemed that there was a change in the forbidden area. The devouring power which was emitted from the forbidden area has disappeared, and the court thinks that the sacred lake might have returned to normal. They want me and a few other guards to investigate to find out whether this is time for the empire to return to its former glory. I took my gear and headed out to the forbidden area. The other guards that came with me were all in the Elemental Refining stage. The leader of the group made the group split and enter the forbidden area. This may seem like a dumb idea, but the leader did that so we can investigate the forbidden area faster and also because the forbidden zone has no living things in it, which means no potential threats. I searched the path for about half an hour before I encountered something. It was a red skinned creature, with red hair and red eyes. This creature looked like a demon but it didn''t have a horn. I felt a creepy sensation emitting for the creature, and I also felt the blood in my body boiling as well as the smell of blood coming from the creature. The creature also noticed me and said something. The language it spoke was foreign but also seemed something similar like an ancient language. I went into panic as I thought it was trying to attack me, so I screamed "Demon, demon. There is a demon, help me!" in hopes that it will reach the ears of my companions. In my panic, I attacked the creature, I thought it would do nothing but provoke its anger. To my surprise, I cut off its left hand, like my sword was going through butter. The hand landed on the ground and exploded into blood, which surprised me. Realizing I was stronger, and that the creature was weak, I advanced on it. The creature was trying to retreat while screaming in pain. That''s when something surprising happened, the creature looked at something and stopped moving. I took this chance to attack it, but something burst through my stomach. It was a crimson dagger with a 5 inch blade and a blood red gem embedded in its handle. The dagger landed in the creatures right hand, while I started to fall down. The creature destroyed my dantian, which caused me to revert to a mortal. The creature closed its eyes as it attacked me, impaling the dagger into my throat. I stare in shock as I fell down and darkness flooded my vision, forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unknown Creature''s POV I woke up after an hour as I went through the memories of the human. It seemed the human though I was a devil and attacked me. This troubled me as I knew I can''t enter a human settlement looking like this, and then that''s when another memory revealed itself. Bodily Reconstruction, this ability allowed me to change my body however I like. I changed my skin into a fair milky white toned skin, and my eyes into an almond brown color. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. I noticed something about Blood Tale, it seems I don''t get all the memories of the person I use it on, as I only got bits and fragments of the man''s memories. I have a suspicion that I can strengthen the abilities I gain using Blood Feed. I start looting his body, when I notice his sword. I want to keep this sword as I don''t know how to use the dagger from before. While I was thinking this, a strange feeling arises in my body before another ability appears, it is Absorb. This ability allows me to absorb a item and learn everything about it, ranging from the materials used to create it to how to create it. I can also absorb creatures, but they have to be dead. Something strange happens this time when I receive the spell, as I learn if I can strengthen the ability I can find out who killed the creature or who created the item when I absorb an item. I place my hand on the sword and use absorb. My hand turns into blood which covers the sword and absorbs it into my body. I get information on the sword, it was an iron sword with a flame gem embedded into its hilt. This allows the sword to light on fire when I pour qi into it. I also receive the recipe on how to create the sword. After receiving the information, the sword flies into a blood red gem located in a black cave in my body. By willing it, I can enter the gem. I found a blood lake (my body) in it, and also the iron sword and dagger from before. I see other items above the lake, but they are sealed by blood red chains. It seems I have to unlock them before I can use it. After exiting the gem, I noticed I can use the dagger and iron sword when I want, by summoning them using my blood. My absorption of the sword finished, and I looked over at the corpse. I walked over to him and absorbed the armour the man wore and absorbed the man itself. I learned the recipe and materials for the iron armour he wore. The interesting thing I learned, is the anatomy of a human male. I realized the black cave from before was my dantian, where I store my qi. I also learned humans have muscles, meridians and bones, etc. Using the knowledge I acquired, I created human organs and other things. I super condensed my blood to create bones and made the muscles by condensing my blood a little so that it''s flexible. I didn''t make bone marrows as I can''t create blood, I can only gain it by using Blood Feed on something. A blood red iron armour appears on my body as I summon the armour I absorbed. It turns out that I can use Bodily Reconstruction on it. The ability also me to reconstruct the body of anything part of me, and when it strengthens, I reconstruct items not part of me. Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Krish Hale''s POV I live in a desolate village in the Empire of Haril. This village is near the Forbidden Zone, which used to be the Sacred Land of our Empire. Ever since the land became deprived from natural energy of the earth and heavens, many of the cultivators guarding the village and Sacred Land have left. Now the village is guarded by only Qi Refining guards as there are no threats from the Forbidden Zone. Being a lumberjack, I walked to the outskirts of the forest surrounding the Forbidden Zone, when I found an unconscious 14 year old boy wearing brown leather armour, lying outside of the forest. I brought the boy back my home where I let my wife take care of him as I went back to do my job. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unknown Creature''s POV I walked towards the end of the forest while avoiding the allies of the guard from before. I don''t want to kill them and become enemies with the Empire. While I was walking I practiced summoning the dagger and sword, and that''s when I started getting more tired. Halfway through the forest, I noticed my armour would attract attention, so I changed the armour into the leather armour that the guard wore inside the iron armour. I then changed the colour from red to brown. Arriving at the exit of the forest, I finished changing my armour when I felt extremely tired and hungry. It seems using my abilities causes me to get tired and hungry more easily. Right when I exited the forest, I fell down and felt my consciousness flood away from me. ..... I wake up on something comfortable when the word Bed popped up. I think this word came from the memories of the guard. After going through my memories before I fainted, I jolted out the bed. I look around the room and notice the room has a closet, a wooden drawer and this bed which has a cotton mattress on top of it. While I was observing the new wonders around me, the door of the room slowly creaked open. I summoned my dagger out as I saw a woman with a bowl walk in. The woman looked like she was in her thirties, she had silky long black hair, and dark brown eyes. She has a fairly good figure, and exuded a gentle aura. Feeling no threat, I lower my dagger but still keep it out. Thw woman hesitated a little whenn she saw my dagger, but she kept coming towards me. Putting the bowl down, the woman walked towards me and asked " How are you feeling." Feeling happy about the fact that I can understand the language and speak it, I ask " Where am I?" The woman replied back " My husband found you unconscious outside of the forest. He brought you home so that we can nurse you back to help." "Here''s some chicken soup," she says as she hands me the bowl from before. I sniff at it to make sure it doesn''t have the Poison which is mentioned in the guards memories. I didn''t know if it was poisoned, but I quickly devoured the food, which eased the hunger and pain in my stomach. The woman only says "Slow down, the food isn''t going anywhere." before asking me a question. "What is a 14 year-old boy doing in that forest?" Not knowing how to answer, I pondered on that question before saying " I lived there my whole life." She gasped in surprise before asking me "Where are your parents, why are they making you live there?" I just say " I don''t have parents, I only came out of the forest because guards from the empire entered them." She then questions "Do have somewhere to live?" I raise a brow at that question but answering nonetheless, "I don''t." If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. The woman tears up a little before wiping them away and tried saying something before getting interrupted by a sound. "Wait here." She tells me that as she leaves the room. I hear the door open and a conversation. I can''t really hear it, and just as I try to get up to see what''s going on, the woman renters with a man. The man was robust and had blonde hair and obsidian black eyes. He entered the room with an axe slung on his shoulder, and some wood shavings on his body. The man walks in front of me and introduces himself, "My name is Krish Hale, and this is my wife Courtney Hale. Would you like to stay with my family and live in this house?'' I felt a little surprise from his offer, but after thinking a little, I reply "Yes, if that doesn''t impose on you or your wife." Some of memories from the guard contained lessons on how to be etiquette. The man then says "Good, now can you please tell us your name?" As nonchalantly as ever, I reply "I don''t have a name." The man''s face twitches a little, and he says " Is it okay if we name you?" I say "Go ahead." The man and woman talk for a while before turning to me and saying, "Your name from now on shall be Aiden Hale." Thinking about my name for a while, I tell them "I like the name." The man tells me " Come lets have dinner, and also both of us will be your parents from now on, so call us dad and mom." I don''t know why, but the man and woman seemed abnormally happy for taking in a stranger like me. In fact, why would they take me in? Do they have a different motive in taking me in? I ponder about this as I ate dinner with the Hale''s. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Emperor of the Haril Empire''s POV The guards I sent to the Forbidden Zone returned. I was excited as I though the Sacred Blood Pool from my ancestors'' books has returned, but the guards told me something which both brought me sadness and confusion. The Sacred Blood Pool has completely disappeared leaving no trace, but luckily the absorption power which caused my Empire to slowly lose its natural energy has stopped. Although we don''t have the pool, the energy density in my Empire will slowly return and recover. One bad thing is that we lost the natural defense the Forbidden Zone provided us, now we have to guard that area of land. More troublesome news came in, as Cero Jenkins''s has died. This will be problematic as he is the son of the current head of the Jenkins''s family, Ray Jenkins, also one of my personal guards. I know Ray''s personality, he will stop at nothing to find the culprit of his son''s murder, and brutally murder the culprit. Since I don''t want one my loyalist followers leave cause of my inaction to help them, I sent the number one beauty of the Empire, and also the number 1 genius, the fourteen year-old Jasmine Lopez. The reason I sent her, is because she has dual-pupils and will be able to investigate both the disappearance of the pool and the death of Cero the best in the Empire. I look out my window as I sigh for the upcoming trials my Empire will soon face. To be continued. Hey guys, I''m sorry I didn''t update the past few days. I told the Hale''s that I''m tired and wanted to rest. They didn''t suspect me or question me and let me go back to my room. I lied down on top of the white mattress with a blue sheet on it. Crossing my legs, I go into meditation to sort out the man''s memories. Since the man was part of the most loyal family of the empire, he had access to some important information. It seems that in the past when I wasn''t sentient, I used to the sacred land of the empire which brought it wealth, strength and glory. It seems that I used to give items to the empire when they gave me a lot of blood. Strangely, it''s oddly similar to my Absorb ability. I think I used to use Absorb on items before using another skill which returned it to them stronger. Another piece of important info was the cultivation levels of the world: Body Strengthening Qi Refining Martial Disciple Martial Lord Martial Prince Martial King Martial Emperor Profound Saint Dao Saint Immortal Each rank in cultivation has 10 levels in it with 4 ranks in it. The tiers are low, mid, high and peak. E.g. Low tier Rank 1 Qi Refiner, High tier Rank 5 Dao Saint. There was other information on cultivation, it was Divine Bodies, Divine Bloodlines and finally Celestial Bloodline Bodies. (Author''s note: I got the idea from Mar*ial G*d A*u*a ) Certain people are born with special bodies. These bodies grant them power far stronger than regular people. Instead of cultivating the normal qi, they cultivate the power from their divine body. (E.g. A person born with a Divine Body which bestows them a special kind of fire must keep gathering that fire''s qi.) By gathering that power and refining it, they can progress in cultivation. They also don''t need resources to progress, but if they use it, it is far more effective than for normal people. Progressing in levels is much easier for people with Divine Bodies, but in exchange, they have bottlenecks which are much harder to break through. Not only do they have a special power, they are immune to it as well. Their comprehension speed is also much stronger than regular people. Divine Bloodlines are powers which are hereditary. It is a power which flows in the blood of a person and is passed down to their descendants. The power weakens as the bloodline thins from generation to generation, but there are a few people born with extremely pure and thick bloodlines. Divine Bloodlines bestow the people with it a special power, which is similar to a Divine Body. Unlike the Divine Bodies, people with Divine Bloodlines cultivate normal qi, and can''t cultivate their power. The power''s abilities unlock as long as you progress in cultivation. People with the special bloodline have stronger bodies than regular people, stronger comprehension ability and have easier bottlenecks. Nothing comes for free as although you gain many benefits from Divine Bloodlines, people with it require massive amounts of resources to cultivate. They can''t cultivate without resources. In return their qi is denser. It is possible for people to have 2 bloodlines or 2 divine bodies, it''s even possible for people to have a divine body and divine bloodline. People with both have the possibility to have a Celestial Bloodline Body. Celestial Bloodline Body is the combination of both, but it is extremely rare. The Divine Body and the bloodline have to give the person the same type of power. For example: A bloodline gives someone ice powers and his divine body also gives him ice powers, which combine to create the Celestial Bloodline Body. These bodies are much stronger than the other 2, but much harder to cultivate. People which this body, have bodies far stronger than people with Divine Bloodlines. People with Divine Bodies are only physically stronger than others because the power runs in their blood, which goes through their body. Celestial Bloodline Bodies on the other hand send their power throughout their whole body. It exists in their blood, in their muscles, in their brain, etc. Having the power merge with their bodies gives them benefits. For people with bloodlines, if someone injuries them causes their blood to come out, the power in the blood will activate. E.g. If someone''s power is acid, and someone cuts their hand with a sword till it bleeds, the acid will corrode the sword. For people with Celestial Bloodline Bodies, just their aura can emit their bodies power, which they can control to show its power or not. Injuring them can, even if they don''t bleed, can emit their power. E.g. If someone has the power for ice, can freeze their surroundings with their aura. If someone grabs their hand, their hand starts to freeze. A person can only have 1 Celestial Bloodline Body, and their descendants can only inherit the bloodline part of the body. Celestial Bloodline Bodies have other benefits like being able to cultivate both their power and normal qi, as well as better comprehension and much denser qi as well as resources being more useful. The downsides are that they have extremely hard bottlenecks and require a lot of resources. All these special bodies and bloodlines have a separation in strength. The ranks are: Human Earth Heaven Immortal Divine Sovereign There are also separations of power in the ranks like a lower tier bloodline and a higher tier bloodline. Divine bodies are usually 1 tier stronger than bloodlines until they both are in the immortal rank, where they become same strength henceforth. E.g. A Low tier Human ranked Divine Body will have the same strength as an mid tier Human ranked Divine Bloodline. Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Body = Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Bloodline Celestial Bloodline Bodies are 1 rank stronger than Divine bodies and 1 rank and 1 tier stronger than divine bloodlines until the Immortal rank. E.g. Low tier Human ranked Celestial Bloodline Body = low tier Earth ranked Divine Body or = mid tier Earth ranked Divine Bloodline. Low tier Heaven ranked Celestial Bloodline Body = Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Body or = Low tier Immortal Ranked Divine Bloodline. Divine Bloodlines are special in that, their bloodline power can be strengthened to another rank or tier. E.g. A person with a low tier human ranked bloodline gains the power of Sky fire. If that person absorbs a fire of a higher tier, their bloodline can go to the next tier or rank. If they for example absorb Hellfire, their Sky fire can get stronger, or their power becomes Hell fire, as well as their bloodline improving tiers or ranks. Normal cultivators have affinities to elements likes the earth element or fire element, which they use in attacks. The affinity levels are None, Garbage, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Good, Excellent, Genius, Monster, God and finally Complete affinity (100% control over affinity). Cultivators with divine bodies, celestial bloodline bodies, bloodlines, have special elements like hellfire or holy water. That''s all the information I got from Cero''s memories. It took well into the night to organize his memories and assimilate it into my brain. I rested a little and wiped the sweat off my forehead. Half an hour later, I got ready to use Blood Tale on the Hale''s. Just as I got off my bed and headed towards the door, a problem arose in my head. How will I sneak into their room? I walked around the room while biting on my thumb, trying to think of a solution. Just as I was going to give up and just try to charge in, another ability of mine swiftly and coolly arrived in my mind. Doppelganger, a skill which allows me to create clones. It''s essentially splitting some of my blood and creating a clone with it. I tried manipulating my blood to come out of the gem in my dantian, but it didn''t work. After about an hour of practicing, I finally got some of my blood to move. Moving out some of my blood took about 15 minutes, which exhausted all of my strength and sent me falling to my bottom, gasping and panting for air. Sweating a tsunami, a grin appeared on my face. Regaining some of my strength a few minutes later, I manipulated the blood to look like a palm sized figure of me. Suddenly 2 people''s vision appeared in my head and confused me. Processing it for a while, I finally found out how to cope with 2 people''s vision. I could manipulate my brain 2 split and multitask or I can use my main bodies vision to combine with the clone''s vision, choosing which one 2 view. Merging visions, I controlled the clone to walk towards the door. Since I couldn''t reach it, I turned it''s body into blood and made is flow under it before forming into the miniature figure of me again. I walked down the dark hallway, seeing big paintings of trees and wars. Arriving outside the Hale''s building, I turned back into blood. Repeating the same process, I snuck into their room. I climbed onto their bed and went to Krish. His hand was outstretched as he had a bad sleeping posture. His leg was onto of his wife''s body and his other hand on top of the bed frame. I turned my index finger into a needle and walked up to Krish''s hand. I then proceed to poke his index finger to get a drop of blood. He flinched a little before returning to normal. I let out a sigh of relief as he didn''t wake up, before using Blood Tale on his blood. Immediately my main body fell unconsciousness and all of my consciousness shifted to this body. Knowing that my body was adapting to the memories, I sat cross legged. Some of the memories flowed into this body, and all I received was images of Krish cutting trees down. Seeing that I didn''t get any useful memories, I tried something I though off. Can I use Blood Tale more than once on a person. Experimenting it, I poked his pinky, this time my other body fading into darkness. When I woke up an hour later, I found useless memories of Krish cutting trees down. Knowing I failed, I let out a wry smile has even though I didn''t get the memories, I found out I can use my abilities more than once on a person. Few hours later, I finally got the information I wanted, from both Hale''s. It seems that they genuinely wanted me as their child. In the memories I got, Courtney was examined by an empires doctor, and they told her, she is unable to give birth. This caused her deep depression, but Krish stayed with her and didn''t get another wife or concubine. He stayed loyal to her even with her problems. Now that they have a son, both of them were extremely happy. I returned back to my room, and thought about their situation. Since they meant no harm, I might as well accept them as parents. Thinking about the Hales, or mom and dad, I slept soundly without any of my defenses up. Unknown to me, I slept with the biggest grin ever. To be continued. I also started writing a different series called the Dungeon Runner, which I updated a lot. I didn''t update this story mainly because I got writers block on how the later parts of the story should be. Another reason is because of the other story, I started that other story is because I really love that genre.
