《R3:Monochrome ~An Interactive Story》 The Prologue In a dark void like space stood a single gray figure that resembled a human. However it¡¯s entire body was a shade of gray, and its entire body whether it be the face or the skin was featureless. It was almost as if someone a molded a luminescent gray sphere into a Humanoid shape. Suddenly a flash of light illuminated the dark space around this humanoid figure, and as it turned around it found another being like itself appear lying on the floor. It approached the newly arrived figure, seemingly comprised of the same sort of material it was made of. However this new arrival possessed a pure white body in contrast to his own murky gray. The grey figure bent down and crawled on all fours atop the white figure. It stared at the white figure in front of it, observing the white being for a moment, and then with its right hand it began to inspect the white figure¡¯s crotch with excitement that quickly turned into sorrow, ¡°What a disappointment.¡± Abruptly the white figure awoke with a screech, it¡¯s skin crawling, ¡°What the fuck!?¡± The featureless white figure kicked its grey counterpart away, sending him flying into the dark void until with a loud thud and the grey figure fell back down a few inches away from the white figure. ¡°There¡¯s a roof in here? And a floor?¡±, the white figure slammed it¡¯s hand on the ground, and then turned to the grey figure, ¡°You, what the hell are you!? What in the world were you trying to do to me!?¡± The grey figure calmly stood back up, seemingly unfazed from the earlier blow and replied, ¡°I was just trying to rape you, nothing important really.¡± The white figure sat there, utterly confused. It stood up and asked, ¡°What are you, what are w-¡± ¡°What are we doing here?¡±, a feminine voice called out. Both figure paused for a moment and looked around. But there was no one else in this dark room of theirs, or so they thought. ¡°Um, excuse me¡±, the timid voice called out again and the white figure felt something touch his arm making it jump in shock. ¡°What¡¯s going on here?¡± The grey figure shook its head and sighed, ¡°Another one huh?¡± The white shape moved its head back towards the grey figure¡¯s direction, ¡°What do you mean, another one?¡± . The grey figure laughed, ¡°Why don¡¯t you stand still for a moment, and try not to jump boy. Or are you a girl?¡± It turned its head, gazing into the dark abyss that filled the room. Following the grey one¡¯s line of sight, the white figure suddenly felt something grip its hand. ¡°These are fingers!¡±, the white figure turned towards what it assumed was the empty void, but in fact there stood another humanoid figure like the grey being before him. The white figure stared at the void, and was able to make out slight distortions in the space that pieced together to form a figure shaped similar to both it and grey. It turned back to the grey figure, and asked once more, ¡°What¡¯s going on here?¡± ¡°I guess you guys didn¡¯t get the memo, well to make it a little easier to understand just say this. Stolen novel; please report. The white figure paused before turning the the grey figure, ¡°Are you serious?¡± ¡°Welcome to my world, and by that I mean my literal world. You can call me Haiiro. As for you, you¡¯ll be Shiro and you...¡±, Haiiro pointed to the completely black figure, ¡°You¡¯ll be Kuro.¡± Shiro sighed, ¡°It¡¯s simplistic, but it¡¯ll do. Hey Kuro?¡± ¡°Yes?¡± ¡°What are your skills?¡± ¡°Oh, I have Analysis, Inventory, Light Affinity, Basic Spirit Magic, Basic Taming Magic, and Basic Support Magic.¡± ¡°Is that so?¡± Shiro turned to Haiiro, ¡°And you?¡± ¡°It¡¯s pretty similar, all of us have Analysis and Inventory probably. As for me... I have an Elemental Affinity, some boosted strength and reflexes, and some magic abilities like Kuro. I¡¯m assuming you have something along that line, no?¡± ¡°Something like that.¡± Suddenly, a voice sounded out in all of their minds, ¡°Yuya it¡¯s time to eat, I made your favorite type of sandwich~¡± Shiro looked around, ¡°What¡¯s that?¡± ¡°I guess you¡¯re not used to it, it¡¯s a little weird at first but close your eyes and you¡¯ll get over it eventually. Though it¡¯s not like we have eyes to close anyways,¡± Hairro laughed, ¡°Kuro you too, I¡¯ll take the helm!¡± The three of them closed their non existent eyes, and suddenly they were no longer in the void-like room. Instead they were looking up at a straw ceiling and wooden walls with the light filtering into the room through small gaps in the wall. Their vision shifted towards a door far too large for anyone to reach the handle. The door clicked, and a woman just as massive as the door before them walked in holding an unnaturally large sandwich. Two small hands extended forward, reaching for the sandwich in her hands and the large woman complied. And as those small hands before them took hold of the massive sandwich, the three inside the dark room felt the crisp touch of the toasted bread. And as their eyes turned to a towering mirror, they saw reflected in the clear glass a a petite little girl no older than four, with cat ears and a tail. Her hair was a mixture of black, white and orange, and her similarly colored ears and tail flicked mischievously. Bright blue eyes gleamed with mischief as they lazily stared at the mirror, and the young girl wearing a beautiful green sundress reflected within. She happily took a bite out of the enormous sandwich in hand that was nearly half as long as she was tall, and so wide she could barely hold it in her delicate hands. But nonetheless she took a large bite out of the sandwich, and Shiro, Haiiro, and Kuro alike began to feel the wonderful combination of flavors stored within. They could feel the crunch of the toasted bread, and the crisp lettuce. There was the sweet taste of the tomatoes and the savory chicken. The light orange sauce within gave the sandwich a small kick, and a little tartness helped balance out the flavors. The giant woman smiled at the sight and said, ¡°Tell me if you want more when I come back.¡± Before leaving the room. The girl paused, and as she spoke Haiiro¡¯s voice similarly echoed out inside the dark room they stood in, ¡°It¡¯s a weird feeling isn¡¯t it? It¡¯s probably even weirder for you guys, seeing through someone elses eyes, feeling things with their skin, their tongue, their ears, and nose. And then there¡¯s the whole separating your thoughts from your words in here and out there. But you¡¯ll get used to it. So who wants to take ¡®em for a spin?¡± Choices Shiro Kuro Haiiro

Chapter 1 Kuro excitedly blurted out, ¡°Let me, let me!¡± Haiiro smiled, ¡°You don¡¯t mind, right Shiro?¡± ¡°I¡¯ll get my turn eventually, but for now I suppose I¡¯ll mess around with the Menu.¡± Shiro mumbled, moving to the side and finding an invisible wall to lean on. He quickly opened up the Menu and began fiddling around with it as he pleased. ¡°Have fun with that, Shiro-chan~.¡± ¡°...¡± Don¡¯t say anything, just don¡¯t... ¡°Anyways~ get ready Kuro-chi. You¡¯ll be taking over after I finish this off~.¡± Haiiro waved the sandwich in their hand, as if afraid it would be forgotten about. Haiiro returned to biting the delicious sandwich nearly half their size, easily devouring it in within a minute. Then the small girl extended her hand forward, forming a small black hole a little larger than a baseball to appear. Haiiro reached into the hole and pulled out a large waterskin, popping the cap off and chugging down large mouthfuls of water. ¡°Ahh, nothing beats a sandwich and a nice glass of water~.¡± ¡°As if that was only a glass worth of water.¡± Shiro commented. ¡°How are you even okay after all that!? How am I okay after all that?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t be silly Shiro-chan~.¡± ¡°Stop calling me that.¡± ¡°Shiro-chi~.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t call me that either.¡± ¡°Shiro-tan~.¡± ¡°I hate you.¡± ¡°Feel free too~. Besides, I can drink enough water to fill a waterskin seven times this size~.¡± ¡°What? How? That¡¯s not even scientifically possible!¡± ¡°Shiro-chan~. None of what¡¯s happening is scientifically possible.¡± ¡°...¡± Kuro interrupted, ¡°Haiiro-san?¡± ¡°Oh, Kuro-chi~. Call me Haiiro-chan.¡± ¡°Haiiro-chan... um, how do I take control exactly?¡± ¡°Like this~.¡± Haiiro suddenly released control over their body, transferring it to Kuro before she had a chance to react. A flood of sensations suddenly shot into Kuro¡¯s mind, freezing her for a moment. Eventually, Kuro started opening and closing the small girl¡¯s hands, blinking a few times to get used to the new feelings. Shiro stared at Haiiro for a moment, How in the world does that explain anything!? Kuro lowered her hand and touched the floor, ¡°Warm! Was the floor always this warm?¡± ¡°Warm? If anything the floor got colder Kuro-chi.¡± ¡°Are you sure? The floor wasn¡¯t this warm, earlier.¡± Kuro stood up, ¡°Eh?¡± Kuro rubbed the sun dress between her fingers and Haiiro exclaimed, ¡°What happened to my dress!¡± ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°It feels so...so... coarse.¡± ¡°But it¡¯s so much softer than before.¡± ¡°No, I¡¯ve worn this dress before I know that it was softer before. Something happened.¡± ¡°Nothing happened,¡± Shiro commented, ¡°Well to the dress at least.¡± ¡°Hmmm?¡± ¡°It feels exactly the same to me, but softer to Kuro, and coarser to you. Do you know why?¡± Both Haiiro and Kuro shook their heads. ¡°Think about it. When you were in control everything was fine, but as soon as Kuro took control everything felt duller, no? By giving Kuro control you¡¯ve basically entered a state similar to that of sleep paralysis.¡± Kuro¡¯s head tilted slightly, ¡°Sleep paralysis? But you shouldn¡¯t be able to see or feel anything when you¡¯re in sleep paralysis, right? ¡°Not exactly. Patients with sleep paralysis are not only conscious, but they remain capable of feeling sensations to some extent. Since there are three of us in this body, two of us are put in this state. Basically, all three of our senses are linked to the main body, so we¡¯re still capable of feeling everything, to a certain extent.¡± The featureless black figure turned towards Shiro worriedly, ¡°Will we be okay?¡± ¡°Who knows, there¡¯s nothing we can really do about it so just relax and hope for the best.¡± Kuro sighed and shook her head before starting to cheer herself up. It¡¯ll be okay, it¡¯ll be okay¡ Maybe practicing will help? Breathing in a rhythm, Kuro began doing multiple Taekwondo stretches to test the limits of her new body. Slowly she became amazed by a sense of flexibility she never felt before, and a smile broke out on her face after her warm up. Then she began practicing in earnest, only to attempt a high kick and utterly fail, tripping over her own feet and landing on all fours. The differences in height and muscle density of her body caused her to misinterpret the distance and power required, resulting in failure and minor scrapes on the knees. She would have to restart her training from scratch if she wanted to move like she could in her old body. But as expected from a body from the cat race, Kuro felt she was much more flexible now than in her old body. A grin that could only be called savage appeared on the young girl''s face as flames flickered in her eyes. Raising a small ¡°Sha!¡± shout, Kuro quickly became entranced in her training once more. Kuro trained mindlessly, kicking air as Shiro and Haiiro watched on. It wasn¡¯t long before she fell to the floor laughing with sweat streaming off her body. She lied there happily, but something felt off. It just wasn¡¯t about the difference in height and weight or muscle density, though those did play a role in this. Nor did it have anything to do with her cat ears or tail, though those two did feel a little out of place. She stood up, kicking once more and felt it, the subtle feeling of skin rubbing against skin. The sensation was minuscule, hardly noticeable at best. But it was odd and unfamiliar, and that made it stand out all the more. She began examining her crotch, touching it here and there and forgetting about the two others inside her head. When her hand touched some unfamiliar part, a small bulge, she lifted her dress and looked underneath. ¡°Kyaaaa!¡±, she fell to her knees. Shiro sighed, ¡°Haiiro you¡¯re one hell of a bastard¡¡± ¡°Bastard? Shiro-chan, you two were the ones assuming things~. I never said we were a girl, right~?¡± ¡°Bastard.¡± Frozen in shock, Kuro''s mind was in chaos. She shook her head over and over, repeatedly mumbling, ¡°I-I¡ I touched it¡¡± Shiro sighed, ¡°You¡¯re overreacting.¡± Haiiro smirked, ¡°Yeah, Kuro-chi~. It¡¯s only a¡¡± Kuro immediately covered her little car ears and huddled up into a little ball rolling on the floor. On the verge of breaking down into tears, Kuro yelled ¡°Don¡¯t say it! Don¡¯t say it! Don¡¯t say it! My maiden heart won¡¯t be able to take it!¡± This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Unfortunately, it wasn''t possible to ignore the voice in her head.¡°P-e-n-i-s~.¡± Kuro fell to her knees and wrenched her head back, ¡°Nooooooo! No, no, no, no, no!¡± Shiro cut in, ¡°I get it, I get it. Calm down will ya?¡± ¡°I am calm!¡± "If you''re calm, you wouldn''t be screaming or on the verge of tears. Calm down and then go explore around, I''ve had enough of watching you exercise." Kuro gave a faint nod, closing her eyes for a few minutes. Out of habit, Kuro started breathing in a rhythmic manner, something she did whenever she couldn¡¯t handle a shocking event. ¡°Alright!¡±, Kuro sprang up, surprisingly calm. ¡°...¡± ¡°What?¡± ¡°That was a fast recovery.¡± Kuro puffed up her chest, ¡°Back on Earth I had a good teacher that taught me all sorts of things from stances to my breathing technique, something he called war breathing. Most of what I learned was designed to help me compose myself.¡± ¡°Impressive, it looked like you received quite the shock when you noticed you, I mean... ¡®We¡¯ were a ma-¡± ¡°WOMAN!¡± ¡°...¡± Haiiro snickered, ¡°Denial is the first step to acceptance, Shiro-chan~.¡± After calming down again, Kuro explored the cozy four-room house. She wandered through their parent''s room, finding a bottle of alcohol under their bed, then the kitchen, where she found some sharpened stone knives, the sparsely decorated dining room, finding nothing of interest, and the room she, Haiiro, and Shiro shared with their older brother. Sadly their brother had nothing interesting hidden under his bed, and Haiiro refused to let her look under their bed. ¡°It¡¯s small¡¡± Kuro commented, ¡°I like it.¡± Haiiro chimed in ,¡°I¡¯m sure you probably guessed it, but there¡¯s no running water~. Though there¡¯s an outhouse outside, just take a right and then follow the path down. You won¡¯t miss it.¡± ¡°Guh... then Haiiro¡¡± ¡°Yes?¡± ¡°Where do you take a bath?¡± ¡°Why the river, of course, don¡¯t be silly Kuro-chan~.¡± ¡°Uhh¡.¡± As Kuro left the house to look around outside, Haiiro began informing them about the town they lived in. The small town of Amberglen, located somewhere in the eastern region of the Beastman Alliance, consisted of hunters and gathers with farmers being rare in the area thanks to the large forest that surrounded the town. Both the forest and the mountain to the north carried a certain risk to all that entered them, as all sorts of unnatural fearsome animals and monsters made their homes within. ¡°Does this town have a blacksmith?¡± ¡°Unfortunately not. I¡¯m not sure how other towns are, but here we primarily use our claws, bows, and sharpened stone daggers to hunt. We get other tools and weapons from the traders that stop by on a regular basis. They sell the townspeople all sorts of goods, like medicine and the clothes we¡¯re wearing right now.¡± ¡°Is that so?¡± ¡°Yep.¡± ¡°It was a rhetorical question¡¡± ¡°And that was a rhetorical answer~.¡± Kuro laughed, ¡°You two sure get along.¡± ¡°What makes you think that!?¡± ¡°Yep~.¡± Shiro glared at Haiiro for a moment before sighing. I¡¯m never going to win like this... ¡°Yuya~¡±, a young black haired boy called out to them while waving his hands. ¡°Come here!¡± The boy ran up to Kuro, giving her the chance to take a closer look at him. He had a similar appearance to Yuya, even though he had black hair with black furred ears on his head and a slim black tail playfully waving through the air behind him. Kuro tilted her head, ¡°Who¡¯s he?¡± ¡°Our brother, Kasuka~. Isn¡¯t he adorable~?¡± Kasuka grabbed Kuro¡¯s hand without another word and dragged her across the village, giving her no chance to run. ¡°Kasuka~! Yuya!¡±, a short red haired girl waved towards the pair of brothers. She had a bushy tail sticking out of her shorts and large fluffy ears that reminded Kuro of a fox. ¡°Let¡¯s do this!¡± Kuro asked, ¡°And she is?¡± ¡°Our neighbor Kuri, a kitsune. They¡¯re a race of demi-humans closely tied to both the Demon and Beastman races. Apparently, some of them are capable of turning into foxes, and as they grow older and stronger they grow more tails. She has a crush on Kasuka~. They''re both adorable right, Shiro-chan~?¡± Shiro waved his hand uncaringly. ¡°You¡¯re no fun sometimes you know.¡± ¡°I¡¯m not fun in general.¡± Kuro turned around in the mind room to glance at the other two featureless figures, ¡°You two¡.¡± ¡°Yes?¡± Kasuka turned around to glance at his little brother. ¡°Ah, I said that out loud...¡±, Kuro mumbled, turning to her brother, ¡°It¡¯s nothing.¡± ¡°Eh? Well okay. Hurry up though, Yuya!¡±, Kasuka ran towards the field, dragging Kuro with him. ¡°Just you watch, Kuri! We¡¯ll win this time!¡±, Kasuka turned to Kuro with his eyes sparkling, ¡°Right Yuya?¡± ¡°Uhh.¡± ¡°Come on Yuya, we need to win this time. If we don¡¯t, then...then...I¡¯ll tickle you!¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°See, isn¡¯t he adorable.¡± ¡°And...And¡ no more sandwiches! And, oh I know! I¡¯ll tell mom about what¡¯s under your bed!¡± Haiiro froze and inside their mind Kuro turned around to look at him, ¡°What¡¯s under your bed?¡± ¡°Oh, just something slightly illegal~. And it¡¯s ¡®our¡¯ bed now, Kuro-chi~.¡± ¡°What!?¡± ¡°It¡¯ll be fine Kuro-chi~. It¡¯ll be fine... It won¡¯t be fine. We¡¯ll be killed¡¡± ¡°I-It¡¯ll be fine, I¡¯ll try my best!¡± Kuri grinned, putting her small hands to her lips and letting out a loud whistle. Three little girls stepped out of the shadows to stand behind Kuri at her signal. Kuro turned to Haiiro, ¡°This is just a friendly game right? Right!?¡± Haiiro placed a hand on Kuro¡¯s shoulder, giving her the thumbs up while seeming as if he was planning her funeral, ¡°Good luck!¡± ¡°What was I forced into!?¡± ------- Authors note Old man Yoshin: Chapter 1 is done (Almost died Btw from the editing). Chapter 2 ¡°Alright ladies, Kasuka, here¡¯s how things are gonna go! Whoever makes it to the Old Raccoon Man rock first wins. If anyone gets caught by the guards when we¡¯re sneaking out, they¡¯re disqualified!¡± Kuri grinned and leaned forward, ¡°Come you babies, don¡¯t tell me you¡¯re scared?¡± ¡°W-Who would be scared of that?! Don¡¯t look down on me! We¡¯ll have no problem sneaking past those guards! It¡¯s not like they¡¯re good at their job anyways!¡± ¡°In that case¡¡± ¡°¡°¡°GO!!!¡±¡±¡± The four girls ran off without warning, leaving Kasuka and Yuya far behind. Before the two of them even started running, their opponents were already halfway out of town. ¡°Damnit! Let¡¯s go, Yuya!¡± Kuro was left staring blankly as Kasuka chased after the girls, and only moved when Haiiro snickered ¡°You¡¯re being left behind, Kuro-chi~.¡± Startled, Kuro immediately ran after Kasuka and the rest. By the time she reached the town wall, Kuro found that her competitors were hiding behind barrels and boxes as they spied on the town guards. One of the town guards was lazily leaning against a wall, bathing in the warmth of the sun. The four girls began smacking the boxes and barrels, making a racket that attracted the guard¡¯s attention. The moment the guard turned his head, Kasuka and Kuri took the opportunity to slip right past him and shoot straight into the forest before he even noticed anything. ¡°Wait a minute¡¡±, Kuro turned to Haiiro, ¡°What do I do?¡± ¡°Just sneak out. It¡¯s not like he¡¯s on high alert or anything. The guy¡¯s even flirting with that girl over there.¡± Shiro commented. ¡°But I¡¯ve never snuck out before¡And where¡¯s Old Raccoon Man Rock!¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°Kuro-chi~ It¡¯s obviously in the forest.¡± ¡°But where?!¡± ¡°You¡¯ll know when you find it.¡± ¡°Am I just supposed to look around aimlessly till I find it?¡± ¡°Pretty much~.¡± Kuro sighed, and turned to the forest Kasuka and Kuri ran into. She glanced at the distracted guard, and just as she was about to dash for the underbrush, she heard a yelp. ¡°Let me go old man!¡±, One of the girls seemed to have gotten caught by another guard. The rabbitkin girl began flailing her arms around, and making a racket attracting everyone¡¯s eyes. Her friends took the opportunity and charged into the forest after Kuri. The girl looked over and having seen her friends make it into the forest safely, began yelling, ¡°Yuya help me! Yuya!¡± ¡°Yuya?¡±, the guard began looking around. ¡°T-That¡¯s not fair!¡± Having no other choice, Kuro dashed out and into the forest. ¡°Those damn brats! Nayer, Christopher, on me!¡± Kuro sighed and followed the tracks everyone else left behind. She dashed forward and somehow managed to catch up to Kuri¡¯s friend, a small rabbitkin. The girl turned around, and glared at Kuro. Kuro yelled, ¡°Watch where you¡¯re going!¡± But by the time the rabbitkin girl turned around, she had already tripped on a root, and was sent tumbling forward. Kuro glanced in her direction, verifying she was okay, and continued forward. ¡°Wait, Kuro! Take a left, I recognize this part of the forest. I don¡¯t know what the others are doing, but trust me.¡± ¡°If you say so.¡± Kuro turned to the left, and flew past a countless number of trees. She began ducking and weaving through the branches hanging high and low, going around the thick bushes scattered all over the forest, and crashed into a couple trees every now and then. Her ability to control her new body was still far from perfect. But eventually Kuro could make out a large oddly shaped rock that looked like an old raccoon-kin in the distance. It was more of a boulder than a rock, and more of a statue than anything else. As Kuro stepped into the clearing that surrounded the strange statue, Kuri and Kusuka suddenly simultaneously jumped out of the bushes on the other side of the clearing. The two looked at Kuro, pale faced and full of fright. They ran past the rock, screaming ¡°Run!¡± The bush behind the two of them shook, and a massive black wolf reared it¡¯s head. It glared at the children and howled. It opened its mouth, revealing a jaw lined with razor sharp teeth, and from the back of its throat spewed flames. Kasuka and Kuri each grabbed one of Kuro¡¯s arms and hauled her away. As they pulled out of the clearing, Kuro could see the large rock grow reddish-orange before melting under the heat of the flames. Kuro could feel the intense all the way from the other side of the clearing. The wolf stepped into the clearing, scorching everything near it a pitch black similar to it¡¯s own fur. Its body was massive, lined with a number of white marks, and parts of its was fur coated in a blue-flame. The wolf¡¯s sharp claws glinted eerily under the light of the flames the wolf carried on its body. It looked at the the three of them and leapt forward at an incredible speed, snapping its jaw at their heads and just barely missing. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. Kuro¡¯s face paled and she couldn¡¯t help screaming, ¡°SMELLY! THIS THING¡¯S BREATH WILL KILL ME!¡± ¡°¡°That¡¯s what you¡¯re worried about?!¡±¡± Kuri and Kasuka retorted. Shiro commented, ¡°Smells like Propane, try stuffing a torch into his mouth maybe he¡¯ll blow up.¡± ¡°Really!?¡± ¡°I doubt it.¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°Let¡¯s try it~¡± The wolf, seemingly having understood her, froze for a moment. They took the opportunity to increase the distance, but soon heard the sounds of screaming, mixed with the sound of excited howling up ahead. It was becoming clear that the wolf had called its pack. The two dragging her immediately changed directions, but by mistake they decided to go in opposite directions while still dragging Kuro. Being pulled in two different directions, she let out a small yelp of pain, startling the two into letting her go. Now Kuro was faced with the savage wolf alone. Kasuka and Kuri shrieked in horror, quickly turning around, intent on grabbing Kuro and escaping. But the two hesitated, thinking the other would reach out and grab her, resulting in neither of them helping her. The wolf leapt at Kuro once more, and before she could do anything she felt everything go black. Then, an annoyed voice was heard. ¡°Come on Kuro-chi, can¡¯t you do better than this?¡± Kuro¡¯s senses faded away as Haiiro abruptly took control, but the wolf already in front of their eyes. Haiiro grinned playfully, and help his fist out in front of the wolf¡¯s face. The wolf grew furious, and with a loud crunch, the bones in Haiiro¡¯s arms were easily snapped in two by the wolf¡¯s massive fangs. Yet no screams followed. Kuro and Shiro watched their bloody arm soak their beautiful sundress. They felt the immense pain, that Haiiro should have been feeling, yet still there was no trace of pain or anguish on his face. Instead a frightening scene that would forever be engraved in their minds for the following years to come played out. Haiiro stared at his arm, and finally scream. But it was by no means a scream of pain, nor was it one filled with despair or anguish. No no, this was a scream filled with ecstasy. Haiiro shuddered, and moan as if he were climaxing. And as his fist opened, having lost any strength to keep his fist closed. A small orange sphere flew out. It was dim, and only about the size of a marble and shone only as bright as a weak flame. But as Haiiro let it go, it began to grow brighter and brighter until, ¡°Boom~¡± Orange sphere blew up, inside the wolf¡¯s mouth forcing the wolf too let go. Haiiro clenched his other fist, and ruthlessly landing it square into the wolf¡¯s face. His tiny hand held an unimaginably explosive power, and the wolf was sent flying away. ¡°Aaahh, down already¡ Maybe the others will be a bit more fun~.¡± Haiiro muttered. Kasuka stared at his brother¡¯s bloody arm, ¡°Y-Yuya! Your arm!¡± Kuri stared at his arm and gaped, pale faced. She ran up to him, quickly casting a spell causing the wound to heal rapidly. Haiiro smiled,¡°Don¡¯t worry, brother~. It¡¯ll just be slightly hard to use for a bit~.¡± Kuri and Kasuka were speechless, but Haiiro ignored them and started walking towards the screaming and howling they tried to flee from. The pain in their arm didn¡¯t seem to impede their body¡¯s movement at all. ¡°Wait, where are you going?!¡± Kuri yelled. ¡°Isn¡¯t it obvious, Kuriri?¡± Haiiro turned to her with a grin ¡°I¡¯m going to play with the puppies~¡± Haiiro ripped a piece of their bloodied dress, and affixed their arm in place, and walked towards the source of the screaming. Kasuka clenched his fist, ¡°Yuya! Don¡¯t try to be a Hero!¡± He ran after him, when Kuri grabbed his arm and pulled him back. Kasuka turned around and noticed Kuri was on shaking and on the brink of tears, ¡°Kasuka, please¡ don¡¯t leave me¡± He paused, and held Kuri¡¯s small hand in his, ¡°I¡¯ll protect the both of you!¡± Kasuka turned around, and pulled her forward and they began running after Haiiro. ¡ Shiro asked, ¡°Are you really going to take them on?¡± ¡°Naturally~¡± ¡°You¡¯ll die¡± ¡°You never know~¡± ¡°We need to save the others,¡± Kuro interrupted, ¡°There were screams¡¡± Shiro sighed, ¡°They¡¯re dead, and so will we if we don¡¯t get out of there.¡± ¡°We can¡¯t just leave them!¡± ¡°Well of course we can, let me take the wheel I¡¯ll promise you we¡¯ll get out of this without a single scratch. Well other than the ones we have right now.¡± End of Chapter Choices Kuro Shiro Haiiro Chapter 3 Haiiro turned around and sighed, ¡°She¡¯s all yours.¡± ¡°Haiiro!¡± ¡°Kuro-chi, give him a chance. You¡¯ve had your turn now let him have his.¡± ¡°This isn¡¯t about whose turn it is!¡± ¡°You¡¯re right,¡± Shiro interrupted, ¡°It¡¯s about making it out of this alive. Something I can do better than you.¡± ¡°Shiro! We can¡¯t just leave them.¡± Shiro took control of the body and sighed, ¡°You hardly know them, why should we go out of our way to save them?¡± Kuro clenched her fists, ¡°Why do we need to have a reason to save anyone!?¡± ¡°Then why do I need a reason to abandon someone?¡± ¡°That¡¯s¡that¡¯s...¡± Kuro paused, ¡°That¡¯s because it¡¯s wrong!¡± ¡°Perhaps to you maybe.¡± Shiro stretched his arms and fingers, quickly adapting to their body¡¯s short stature. He looked at his broken arm and sighed, ¡°Did you really have to break our arm?¡± ¡°Did I have to? No~. Did I want to? Yes~.¡± Shiro furrowed his brow, Well there¡¯s nothing I can do about it now. I should have taken over earlier. Shiro bent down and looked at his shadow, then he turned his head towards some rocks in the distance. As he stood back up, his shadow stretched unnaturally towards the rocks to hold them in its hands. Kuro looked on in surprise, ¡°This is!¡± ¡°Magic, to be exact Shadow Magic.¡± ¡°But how are you doing that!?¡± ¡°The System. As soon as I thought of it, I instinctively knew how to do it. Or at the very least something along those lines, right Haiiro?¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°You sure catch on fast, Shiro-chan~.¡± ¡°That explosion earlier was too unnatural. That was your doing wasn¡¯t it?¡± ¡°Bingo~.¡± ¡°Tell me, this world¡¯s magic, it¡¯s not like this is it?¡± ¡°You¡¯re right again~.¡± ¡°I see, that¡¯s all I needed to know... for now. Now, onto the next experiment.¡± Shiro raised his head and closed his eyes, standing completely still. Kuro tilted her head, and Haiiro looked on confused. Kuro asked, ¡°What are you doing?¡± And Haiiro complained, ¡°Come on Shiro-chan, just because you can¡¯t see them doesn¡¯t mean they can¡¯t see you.¡± The two pouted but were ignored. Shiro suddenly opened his eyes and turned towards a couple of bushes behind him. Moments later, the bushes rustled and both Kuri and Kasuka ran out. ¡°Yuya, are you okay!? You can¡¯t just run off like that.¡± Shiro smiled, and spoke politely, ¡°I¡¯m sorry brother, I don¡¯t know what got into me. It sounds like there are more wolves back there, let¡¯s run the other way.¡± Shiro pointed to the east, and Kuri and Kasuka pulled him along with them. He repeatedly gave them directions, telling the two to go left here or right there managing to somehow avoid all the other wolves. Kuri and Kasuka looked back surprisingly at Shiro, while the two inside him were just as shocked, Kuro asked,¡°Shiro, how are you¡¡± ¡°Clairvoyance.¡± ¡°What?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t act so surprised, play with the system a little why don¡¯t ya. You might be able to figure something out.¡± ¡°Oh~,¡± Haiiro commented, ¡°That¡¯s quite the interesting skill you have there, I bet it¡¯ll be quite useful later on~.¡± ¡°Not as useful as yours.¡± ¡°Oh? Is that so~.¡± ¡°There¡¯s no point hiding it, in my current state I clearly don¡¯t have enough strength to send a wolf that size flying. And it¡¯s just not a matter of not being used to this body. When Kuro was in control she couldn¡¯t exhibit nearly as much power.¡± ¡°Then what exactly are my powers Shiro-chan~?¡± ¡°Something along the lines of Super Strength, or a Physical Boost of some sort. As well as a Fire Affinity. You probably have some other tricks up your sleeves too.¡± ¡°Ding Ding~ 7 out of 10. You were so close!¡± ¡°...¡± ¡°But unfortunately, you just weren¡¯t there yet. As for what my abilities actually are, well why would I spoil the fun~?¡± ¡°You¡¯re insufferable you know that¡¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°I¡¯ll take that it as a compliment!¡± ¡°I figured as much.¡± ¡°Anyway, shouldn¡¯t you be paying attention? There¡¯s a limit to what that Clairvoyance of yours can do at the first level you know.¡± ¡°Oh don¡¯t worry about that, I¡¯m well aware of it¡¯s limitations. That¡¯s why I spent all my Skill Points on it.¡± ¡°Eh? You¡¯re serious?¡± ¡°Naturally.¡± ¡°What about your other abilities, how are you going to fight?¡± ¡°I have a few ideas in mind.¡± Haiiro paused, then turned to Kuro. Kuro scratched her head and said, ¡°Um.. have a little faith in him... I guess?¡± ¡ Shiro led Kasuka and Kuri through the forest. Left, right, back, and forward, Shiro ran circles around the pack of wolves. It was an exhausting but extraordinary feat to avoid beasts of that size for so long. Unfortunately, the process was far too taxing on their young bodies. Shiro could feel his lungs burning and his feet aching. Kasuka and Kuri were panting desperately to the side, taking a minute to catch their breath. Shiro sat down for a second and thought to himself. There are nine wolves who¡¯ve formed a perimeter. They¡¯re closing in and killing everything they can find. I don¡¯t have to worry about the two or three eating, and a couple of wolves chasing those brats around. But it seems there are a few more wolves fighting outside the perimeter, and I can¡¯t seem to find their leader either... If I were to leave these two behind, I¡¯d have a better chance of escaping. But I doubt I¡¯d be able to out maneuver beasts of that size. And I can¡¯t leave it to Haiiro or Kuro to get us out of this mess. I can¡¯t hide, and I can¡¯t fight, so that leaves only one other option¡ Shiro turned to the Kasuka and Kuri, ¡°Hey, I¡¯ve got a plan.¡± ¡°Hmm?¡±, Kasuka turned his head, ¡°That¡¯s rare. What do you have in mind?¡± ¡°We won¡¯t be able to keep running like this. We¡¯re going to have to fight and break out of the circle.¡± Kuri got up and smacked Shiro¡¯s head, ¡°Are you insane! You¡¯ve been acting weird lately but that does it, you¡¯ve really gone insane!¡± ¡°Do you have a better idea?¡± ¡°We just have to keep running until the adults come and save us like they always do!¡± ¡°And do you think we¡¯ll really live that long? Think about it, if we try and break through it¡¯ll be 3v1 at most 3v2. But if they close in on us, all of them will attack us relentlessly.¡± ¡°That¡¯s¡¡± Shiro stood up and began walking northwards, away from the village. Kasuka stood up and went after him, ¡°Yuya wait!¡± But Shiro ignored him and began running ahead. Kasuka turned around, and grabbed Kuri¡¯s arm, ¡°Kuri hurry up we need to chase after him.¡± If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡°But Kasuka¡¡± ¡°I promise I¡¯ll protect the both of you!¡± Kasuka turned around and pulled Kuri along with him. Kuri blushed, and mumbled, ¡°That¡¯s not fair¡¡± ... Up ahead Shiro located a wolf within Clairvoyance¡¯s range. He continued forward, making his shadow pick up several sharp rocks along the way. When the wolf came into sight, Shiro lowered his only good hand to grab some stones from his shadow before throwing them at the flaming beast. After being hit by the stones, the wolf leisurely looked up front the large boar it had been eating and opened its bloody maw, spewing forth a large ball of blue flames. Shiro yelled, ¡°Dodge!¡± And jumped to the side, watching the blue flames crash into the nearby foliage, felling trees and burning the vegetation a pitch black before quickly disappearing. Kasuka screamed, ¡°Yuya!¡± Letting go of Kuri''s hand and charging forward with reckless abandon straight through burning trees and leaves, Kusuka pulled a small stone knife from his pocket and rushed at the wolf. He screamed loudly as he jumped at the wolf. But with a swipe of its paw, Kasuka was easily sent flying into the underbrush. ¡°Kasuka!¡± Kuri screamed. She quickly produced several reddish orange balls of fire and charged forward, throwing them at the wolf to distract it. The wolf opened its jaw, spewing another ball of flames that easily dwarfed Kuri''s. But the moment the several fireballs collided, both Kuri and the wolf were knocked backwards. The wolf stood up and caught sight of its ruined meal. The boar, having been hit by the force of the explosion, had flung all over and was giving off a nasty burnt smell. Aggravated by the loss of its food, the wolf growled and glared at the girl that was sent flying into some branches. The wolf leapt towards Kuri, but suddenly Kasuka jumped out of the underbrush, stabbing his stone knife into the wolf¡¯s chest. The impact caused the wolf to snarl in pain and sent it slightly off course, hitting the ground to the left of Kuri. Kasuka raised his arms and his nails elongated. He swung his claws down, frantically clawing at the wolf¡¯s chest and ignoring the blue flames coating its body. With a growl, the wolf slammed Kasuka into a nearby tree, knocking the boy off of itself. Kasuka lay on the ground, glaring at the wolf. ¡°Just try, and touch them¡ I¡¯ll kill you...¡± The wolf stared at Kasuka for a moment, then raised its claw to crush him when a voice came from above, ¡°Aren¡¯t you forgetting someone?¡± Shiro, surrounded by eighteen black arms, each holding a rock, that extended out from under the remains of his dress, jumped from a tree to land on the wolf''s head. While falling, Shiro raised his leg, ignoring the fact that he was in a dress, and a shadow extends from the back of his heel to form a blade. Shiro swung his foot and those eighteen arms of his down simultaneously. The shadowy hands aimed their rocks at the wolf''s delicate eyes, and Shiro''s heel smashed directly into the wolf''s forehead. Having lost both of its eyes, the flames on the wolf''s back erupted in anger. It madly began swinging its claws left and right, hitting tree after tree and burning everything around itself. Shiro jumped off the wolf, landing next to Kasuka. Turning to the other two featureless beings in his mind, he said, ¡°I¡¯ll leave the rest to you.¡± Shiro ceded control back to Haiiro, who quickly grabbed Kasuka and Kuri and ran away with them on their shoulders. Shiro commented, ¡°Oh, you do have some common sense.¡± ¡°Shiro, you bitch! If you were gonna fight them in the first place, you should¡¯ve just let me do it! Why¡¯d ya have ta bring my cute Kasuka inta it!?¡± ¡°He was an excellent distraction.¡± ¡°You son of a bitch!¡± ¡°Anyway, head north for a few more meters, then turn west. You can rest over there.¡± Haiiro clicked his tongue, but followed Shiro¡¯s directions and made his way to a wide open clearing burnt pitch black. Kuro stared at it for a moment, and said, ¡°This is Old Raccoon Man Rock¡¯s clearing! We¡¯re back where we started!¡± The oddly shaped rock that should have melted under the heat of the fire wolf¡¯s flames was completely intact. Not only that but the area a few meters around it was completely unscathed. ¡°Didn¡¯t that thing melt earlier?¡± Haiiro replied, ¡°Doesn¡¯t matter at the moment.¡± Haiiro walked up to the rock and placed both Kuri and Kasuka down against it. Kuri, though bruised and having a few cuts and scratches, was fine. The earlier explosion merely rendered her unconscious. Kasuka, however, was covered in blood and had burns and cuts all over his body. It was likely that a large number of his bones were broken, and if nothing was done soon he''d die of blood loss. Haiiro muttered to himself, ¡°This is bad¡¡± To make matters worse, several wolves suddenly ran out of the forest. Haiiro sighed in annoyance and clenched his fists. ¡°You pests really don¡¯t learn do you¡¡± Just as Haiiro was about to charge forward, one of the wolves was suddenly pierced by a large spear. Several other spears soon followed, flying out and impaling two more wolves. The wolves growled, spewing flames into the forest, but to their surprise, someone jumped straight into the flames and punched a wolf straight into the air. He was a large tanned man with gray hair and similarly gray cat ears and tail. He laughed loudly, ¡°You think a puny flame like this could stop me! If I was stopped so easily then I wouldn¡¯t have been able to marry my dragon of a wife!¡± ¡°Pfft, as if you could handle her flames¡± a man flew forward and decapitated a second wolf, ¡°You should have seen yourself after you proposed to here¡± ¡°It¡¯s not like you can handle your wife either, Nayer.¡± The gray-haired man said as he grabbed one of the spears out of an impaled wolf and pierced it right through the beast¡¯s heart. Nayer sighed, ¡°Yeah, yeah. She¡¯s about to give me hell after all this is over. But anyway, Daddy¡¯s here kids!¡±

Chapter 4 + Announcement Shiro looked at the black haired guard, and asked, ¡°So who is that?¡± ¡°Our dad obviously.¡± ¡°Hmmm, well I figured as much¡± Nayer stabbed the large war glaive into the ground and opened his arms wide. He repeated himself, ¡°Daddy¡¯s here kids!¡± Kuro asked, ¡°You aren¡¯t going to do anything Haiiro?¡± ¡°Just give it a minute~.¡± Nayer laughed wearily and repeated once more, ¡°Come on kids, Daddy¡¯s here!¡± But Haiiro just sat there motionless. Nayer laughed sadly, his black ears drooping down. The wolf beside him growled and leaped towards him, its sharp fangs gleaming in the light. Just as it was about to crush it between its powerful jaws, Nayer swiftly grabbed the war glaive next to him and sliced the wolf in two in a single motion. ¡°Kids¡.come on, you¡¯re making Daddy feel lonely.¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°He¡¯s quite adorable every now and then~.¡± ¡°Adorable, huh¡¡± Shiro looked on at the bloody scene before him. In a matter of minutes the guards had annihilated a small group of wolves, not only instantly killing a few of them, but even completely splitting one in two. ¡°We really aren¡¯t Human¡¡± Haiiro laughed, ¡°Of course not~.¡± Kuro walked up to Haiiro and asked, ¡°When we grow up will we get that strong? Please say yes, please!¡± ¡°Of course we¡¯ll be that strong, just give it a few years. I bet we''ll be invincible...Eventually!¡± Shiro commented, ¡°But you know I¡¯m surprised. Those guards seemed rather useless earlier. To think they¡¯d be that strong.¡± ¡°Yeah,¡± Kuro added, ¡°You really can¡¯t judge a book by its cover.¡± ... There was a loud rustling came from behind the group, and out came a large group of guards led by the old man who caught one of the rabbitkin girls in the beginning. The gray-haired man turned around and saluted him, ¡°Captain!¡± ¡°Well done, Christopher. Men! Sweep the perimeter, kill any wolf you come across. Prioritize the children above all else.¡± The men behind him replied, ¡°¡°Yes Sir!¡±¡± The guards quickly spread out, standing at the ready. Several wolves charged into the group of guards, having smelled the blood of their brethren. The captain commanded, ¡°Kill them all! Protect the children!¡± The men cheered, ¡°OOOHHHHH!¡± The dozen or so guards grouped up and stabbed at the approaching wolves with their spears while Nayer and the gray-haired man from earlier charged forward, taking down several wolves by themselves. The battle raged on, and around half of the guards incurred heavy wounds, with only a few fatally wounded. But nonetheless, they managed to drive the wolves away. ¡°Christopher, Nayer, carry the wounded back to town with the children! I shall lead a team to find the others! Those not wounded or lightly wounded come with me!¡± The captain drew his sword and led a small group of four guards along with him. Nayed looked around and said ,¡±Well I guess that wraps everything up. Chris, if you¡¯d do the honors.¡± Christopher sighed, ¡°Lazy bum, whatever. Okay, those who can still move pair up and carry the fatally wounded. We need to hurry back!¡± Suddenly a female voice called out from behind him, ¡°Honey!¡± A young cat-kin woman ran out of the forest into the open clearing. She was in a bright blue robe and held a large wooden staff in her hands. She raised her staff, causing several balls of light to fly out towards the most severely wounded. Nayer turned around and opened his arms excitedly, ¡°Sweetie!¡± But just as he ran forward to accept her embrace, the woman swung her wooden staff and smacked him in the face. She raised her staff, causing her feet to light up with a bright blue light, and jumped forward with an increase of speed, ignoring the pitiful man on the ground. She landed before Haiiro, and asked, ¡°Sweetie, are you okay?¡± Kuro looked at her and exclaimed, ¡°Eh, our mom!¡± Haiiro smiled innocently, ¡°Mom, I¡¯m fine but brother¡¡± Haiiro turned his head and stared at Kasuka. Their mother¡¯s eyes widened, and she immediately began casting a spell. A large quantity of light began to gather at the tip of her staff before shooting off and coating Kasuka¡¯s entire body in a thin film. She pulled out a small red bottle from a pouch on her side and popped open the cap. Using a spell, she extracted the red liquid from inside and allowed Kasuka to slowly consume it. She put her hand on Kasuka¡¯s chest and finally breathed a sigh of relief. Nayer walked up to her, and asked, ¡°What was that for, Mara?¡± Mara turned around, and smiled sweetly, ¡°Honey, you were on duty today, correct?¡± You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. ¡°Why, of course. That¡¯s how I got here so fast.¡± ¡°Then, Nayer dear, do you care to explain how our cute children almost lost their lives while you were on duty?¡± ¡°Ah, well they snuck past us, and the captain called us to chase after them. It was only after he heard the wolves that he-¡± ¡°And how did they get past you?¡± ¡°Uh, well I was busy-¡± Haiiro butted in, ¡°Talking with one of the pretty ladies.¡± ¡°Ah, huh? Yuya?¡±, Nayer turned his head to his peculiar smiling four-year-old son in a torn up dress. Mara turned around and patted Haiiro¡¯s head, ¡°Yuya, you¡¯re such a good boy. Now sweetie, follow those sweet uncles over there with your brother. Okay?¡± ¡°Mhmm.¡± Mara turned to Nayer, ¡°Now, DEAR~ We need to talk. Alone. Now.¡± ¡°Uh, darling, sweetie, honey¡ we¡¯re in the middle of the forest. You can¡¯t do this now. What about the wolves?¡± A large pillar of fire rose up from the distance, sending a large number of wolves flying into the air behind Mara. ¡°What about the wolves?¡± Their father¡¯s face paled, and he turned to run. Before he took a single step, their mother had caught him by the ear and started to drag him away. Nayer turned around, and screamed,¡°Chris! Jack! Al!¡±¡± The other guards looked on in pity. They clasped their hands together and closed their eyes. In their hearts they prayed, Rest in peace old friend. ¡°Oh, I nearly forgot,¡± Mara paused and threw the pouch on her side to Christopher, ¡°Ointment for the lightly injured, cream for the heavily injured, and potions for the fatally injured.¡± Mara dragged Nayer past the trees, and everyone turned a blind eye to the screams that followed. Christopher and the rest of the guards hurried the injured back to the village. Kasuka and Kuri were left at the village doctor¡¯s house, while the rest of the guards were sent home. And in the end, Nayer and Mara came home along with the captain and three others. When the village came out to welcome them back, they were shocked to find the Captain had not only lost an arm but was also heavily wounded and missing an eye. It was only thanks to Mara¡¯s constant healing that the Captain even managed to survive. Everyone worked desperately to keep the old man alive, and only after a full night of healing was he finally stabilized. Early in the morning, he gathered everyone in the village and explained, ¡°Something troublesome is brewing up north. This pack of wolves is far too abnormal, they¡¯re not only comprised of Dark Flame Wolves, but also Hellfire Hounds. Two species that shouldn¡¯t be good terms with each other have arrived at the exact same time.¡± A villager exclaimed, ¡°But that¡¯s impossible, both of them are extremely prideful and territorial. They¡¯re not smart enough to put down their pride and work together.¡± ¡°I never said they were. But whether or not they¡¯re working together isn¡¯t the problem. All we need is a B-Class Subjugation Group and we¡¯ll have dealt with them. However, the very fact that they¡¯re here means something has driven them out of their native grounds. And whatever it is will more than likely drive several other species out as well. We need to be prepared.¡± The village elder, an old white-haired catkin, stood up and said, ¡°From now on children are absolutely forbidden from entering the Northern forest. And hunters that wish to hunt there may no longer go alone. This is an order of the utmost priority. We¡¯ve lost too many lives today.¡± ... Within the Northern Forests, two kids weaved to and fro through the trees. One was a young black haired catkin male only about thirteen years old, holding a wooden bow and carrying a leather quiver filled with arrows. Following behind him was a young catkin child only ten years old. In his hands were two stone daggers sharpened to a point. He wore shorts, and a brown leather shirt. He appeared quite androgynous, at times looking like a young boy and at times appearing much more feminine like a girl. The boy in front paused, raising his hand to signal the child behind him to stop. He turned around and said, ¡°Yuya, I see something up ahead. Hmm, Yuya?¡± Inside the pitch black room inside Yuya¡¯s head, were three featureless beings. The black figure was excitedly telling a story, ¡°So I was like, no way! But it was so amazing.¡± The gray figure muttered, ¡°Or so we¡¯ve heard.¡± The white figure commented, ¡°For the thousandth time, pay attention, Kuro. Or are we gonna have to make you switch?¡± --- Announcement Thanks too the update on the site we have decided to wait for the water to clear for a week to post a new chapter sorry for the incontinence.
