《Lord of Glory》 Prologue! Crushed, everything is broken. My body is one big mess, I can feel it. There''s a puddle of my own blood and I''m lying in it. I guess this is the end of the line for me. Somehow I''m still standing, so maybe, just maybe I will make it. I just have to walk, one step at a time. Come on body, you can do this. Move! It''s no use. Why? Why must it end like this? My entire body is trying to force me to the ground, to lay down and close my eyes, but I can''t. I can''t give in, not yet. I can still make it, I just need some rest. I guess I will lay down for a little while, but I will not close my eyes. Do not close my eyes. It''ll be over soon, I can feel it. My end is coming and there''s nothing I can do. Fine. I''m too exhausted anyway. I just wish I could''ve done things differently. But none of that matters now, it''ll be over soon. At last. I''m exhausted, my eyes are heavy and my body is numb. That means I am not truly dead yet.'' I thought before I used my soul energy to cover whatever I am. ''Oh boy I am an orb?'' I thought as I observed myself. ''Let''s see my surroundings'' I thought and released my soul energy to the surroundings. ''Oh boy'' I thought as I observed the surroundings. I was floating in the middle of space among dozens of other orbs. We were all moving in a huge circle with 9 huge black doors in the middle The doors all had huge signs over them, each of the signs were written on different language so I could not understand them but I could read one of them as it spelled ''Earth'' my mind started to put piece''s together. ''Is this the reincarnation pool? It doesn''t look like a pool.'' I thought ''Let''s try to enter the earth door.'' I thought as I used all of my soul energy to change the direction I was going. ~Boom! I did it and I also pushed away the orbs that were in my way as well. I watched as my soul headed towards the door in the middle with the earth sign. ''Yes..Yes..Yes...No...Nooo, not that door the one in the middle!'' I looked at my surroundings and found out that I was inside a womb. ''Ow!'' I thought as I felt something push me. ''Looks like I am being born.'' I thought as I felt the push get stronger. After a couple of hours had past did I feel the touch of something on my head. After few more minutes did I finally get out of the womb. I looked at the people in my surroundings and they all looked pale. ''Yes they are humans'' I thought as I looked at them. "Why is he not opening his eyes or screaming?" The man said in a angry tone as he looked at the woman who held me. ''Oh boy I forgot I was using my soul energy and not my eyes!'' I thought as I opened my tiny eyes, when the woman saw this she gave out a sigh of relief before she smiled and looked back at the man "His a healthy boy your majesty, look" the woman said as she handed me over to the man. The frown on the man''s face dissappeared and a huge smile was viable on his face as he looked at me. While the people around me where talking and jumping with joy I was not happy at all. First, we have the strange language these people are speaking, I know for sure it''s not from earth. The only reason I can understand them is because I am me, there is no language I don''t understand. My second problem is were I am and these people, normal people can''t see it but they are very strong. So strong that the humans from earth would only be bug in front of them. These people have a great insight to their Dao. My third problem is that I can''t sense the Dao of the fireplace. Without it I can''t use their profound energy. My fourth and biggest problem is that I don''t have my beard any more. It took me over 2537 years to grow that perfect beard. "AAAAAAAAAAA!" I started to cry at the thought of having to wait for so long to get my beard. "Maybe he is hungry?" The woman who held me in her arms said as she showed her left breast and put her nibble in my mouth. "I didn''t know that he would have white hair back then, I thought that he would have black hair like his siblings." The woman spoke as she looked at the man next to her. "Then let''s name him Halio after the god of sun, Halio Lucas." The man said as he looked at the woman for approval. "I love it." The woman replied to the man. They both looked down at their new born son who went completely red as he looked the other way. Both of them were stunned by the scene ''why did he go red is there some wrong?'' They thought as they inspected his body. ~Sniff ~Sniff "It stinks!" The man yelled in suprise, the baby went even more red as he heard those words and the woman hit the man''s arm "Stop acting like this your first time." She said before she stood up. She nearly fell to the side but was held up by the man "Let me do it you need some rest."He said and she handed the baby to him while giving him a kiss on the cheek. Right now these people were the only people in the room as the doctor''s left after Halio''s birth. ~Halio PoV~ Oh god the embarrassment. ''I really need to get full control of my new body, I don''t think I can take not being able to control my body.'' I thought as I observed how the man in front of me changed me before placing me in his arms. This man had short black hair with deep brown eyes, his looks were so-so and his build wasn''t that much but okay for his height of 189cm, he had on a set of golden robes that made him stand out. There was an aura around him that screamed both dangerous and superior. "Hello so, hehe I never thought I would have a son in my life. She had brown eyes with long beautiful black hair and her features were astonishing only second to the woman with white hair, she shared similar features as as the man like the nose and eyes e.g. but none the less she was pleasing to the eyes. "Alice did you wake him up?" I heard a voice say as she came over until she stood over me and looked me with her brown eyes. ''Huh'' this woman looked like the one named ''Alice'' as they shared the same features and even the same clothes. The only difference was that she looked older. "I did not wake him up, he woke up on his own. But isn''t he the cutest thing ever." Alice said as he placed her fingers on my cheeks. "I want to see!" I heard yet another voice before I saw a young girl look down at me, she also looked like the other two. ''So I have three sisters?'' I thought, I have never had siblings before maybe my life won''t be that bad. "Leave him alone you are scared!" I heard yet another voice, but unlike the rest this one had a cold tone too it. I looked over to where all my daughters have gathered around as they were all looking down towards my newborn son. A smile crept it''s way onto my face and I looked to the side where my husband was sitting a while ago and I raised an eyebrow as I couldn''t find him. ''He must have gone back to his work?'' I thought as I looked back at the ceiling. It''s still hard to believe that I have given birth to a son. For many generations, the women in my family could only give birth to women, this would not have been a problem if my family was not from one of the great clans in the world. Because we could only give birth to women we had no choice to marry men from other clan''s and that resulted in us marrying men from many clans who opposed each other. This led to a war in our own clan which made us weak enough for other clans to attack. Because of that one war, the entire clan was annihilated with only a few survivors that I was part of. The surviving members of my clan were haunted by the clans that attacked us for years. I don''t know if the last members of my clan are dead or alive anymore but I swore that when I get enough strength I would get my revenge one day. So I trained day after day in order to get strength. Who could have known that I would fall in love with the crown prince of the Lucas Kingdom? I met him while he was fighting a strong monster, he was not as strong back then so it was I who saved him. With his pride how could he be saved by a woman? At first, we were complete opposites. Everything I liked he hated and vise versa, as time went by we slowly fell in love with each other. I never knew he was the crown prince of the Lucas Kingdom, I thought he was only an adventurer who was on a monster hunt it was not until we got out of the monster forest that he told me of his identity at first it came to me as a shock and I couldn''t accept it, since I thought that with his status and mine we will never be able to marry but he never gave up and because of his determination I accepted his proposal. Once he told his parents they were furious as they already had someone else in mind but he said if they wouldn''t accept it then he would leave the crown to his brother and this made his parents reconsider. After they accepted me I was really happy but the thought that I could not give birth to a son haunted me and I could not find a way to tell him. I worked up my courage and told him one day of my past and my clan ready to face anything he might say and do to me. It took him a while to accept that he might never have a son as his successor but after a while, he came to terms with and to my surprise he was not angry with me at all. I still remember what he said ''We will never know if we can have a son or not if we don''t try''. Over the years we have had over 6 daughters and this disappointed him greatly, but he was not angry at all and he loved all 7 of us dearly but despite how much he tried to hide it I could see the pain in his heart. After I got pregnant for the 7th time we thought it would be a girl again and he didn''t have much hope but he still hoped for a son and so when I was 7 months we asked a mage to see if it was a boy or a girl and imagine the surprise and happiness we felt when we were told it was son. He cried for over 6 days straight after that as he kept on thanking me. I was also relieved but a small worry was still in my heart. I remembered something I have been told before I met my husband. After I fled to the Lucas borders I met an old man who said that one day I will give birth to a son that would change this world as we know it and that his strength would shake the heavens themselves. At that time I didn''t pay it much attention as my focus was to get stronger but now it worries me as that man didn''t say whether he would change the world for the better or make it worse. ~Sigh ''Who cares, he is my son and whether he becomes and demon lord or not won''t make me change the way I feel about him'' I thought and I looked over to his crib and saw how the girls have taken him out of the crib. You could see how he was trying to defend himself against their hands. A chuckle escaped my mouth as I stood up and walked towards them. ~Helio PoV~ ''I am not sure if I should be happy that these children are having fun or angry that they are treating me like their toy?'' I thought as I deflected the incoming hand with the back of my small hand. ''It will be really hard to find out who is who when they all look the same'' I thought as I looked at the 6 girls around me, they all looked like twins. Everything was the same, hell even the clothes were the same but their height was different, some of them looked to be only 8-12 while the others seemed to be older. ''Thank god I can use soul energy to see their soul'' I thought as I kept on moving my head away from their hands but with so many coming towards me it''s really hard. ''This is really wired, if their insight into the Dao is so high why are their soul so weak?'' I thought as I looked into their soul. The soul looked like an orb that was glowing yellow. From my understanding of the soul, yellow is the weakest soul stage, almost like the soul''s from earth but as one get''s insight into the Dao their souls become stronger and will move to the Red stage and the more insight you get the stronger your soul gets. Right now I am the heavenly soul stage, this stage allows your soul to transcend into becoming a God this is why I was able to live for million''s of years on earth. It took me a very long time to get to this stage and the power''s I got from becoming a God was astonishing and this was what allowed me to create stuff out of nowhere like the presents I gave away as well as give it to the children in the world. My soul might be that of a God but my body is still mortal, and it looks like I can''t sense the Dao that allowed me to become a God in the first place. I have many questions as to why I am not able to sense the Dao but I have other matters to deal with right now. First thing''s first, I need to make a list of things I need to do before I do anything else. And it looks like finding out where I am and what kind of world this is would be the first thing in my list. ''Damn it! It seems like using soul energy takes too much strain on my body'' I thought as I got sleepy. I stopped using soul energy. "Give him to me you are scaring him, he was born only a few hours ago." A voice said and I used the last of my energy and looked over to see my mom before I closed my eyes and went to sleep. "Hmm." I said as I opened my eyes and looked at the ceiling, I put my hand on my temple and rubbed it for a while before I stood up and used my crib as a supporter. The room was empty and no one was here expect for me. ''What the...'' I thought as I felt killing intent towards me, I looked behind me where the window was located and slowly a shadow emerged from it. ''An assassin?'' I thought as I released my soul energy in case he attacked. ~Assassin PoV~ Getting inside was really easy for me, but it was really a close call when the queen left the room. I was really lucky this time if she didn''t let her guard down she would have definitely noticed my presence. I moved towards the window and opened it slightly and got inside the room. As I took a step inside the room a huge presence hit me like a wave. I got on my knees and started to breathe heavily as I looked around the room to see who has released this monstrous presence. ''Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! No one told me that someone this strong would be protecting the kid!'' I cursed in my heart as my eyes fell on the white-haired kid in the room. It didn''t look like anyone else was in the room. ''Can it be...No he is just a kid, I need to find a way to get out of here or it will be the end of me today'' I thought as I kept looking around. "Senior please forgive me, I was hired by someone I didn''t know senior was here" I begged as I put my head on the ground. "By whom?" Why did I even accept this damn job in the first place, no one told me that someone so strong would live here? I was told all the strong people was out of the capital today and that only the king and queen was left inside the castle. If that was all I could at least leave with my life since they are at the same rank as me and that is why I accepted this job. I thought it was easy money but who could have known that there would be an expert in the capital? I can try to escape using the kid as a hostage, he is only a few meters away from me but this presence was too high, I have met the leader of our group once and I feel like this presence was even more monstrous than him, and he was at the Immortal rank. Does this mean that this person is even stronger? "Leave and tell whoever hired you that I would come after him" I heard the voice in my head again and I was left dumbfounded, I was being let go? I made my way towards a tavern and took out a black mask and put it on. I took a deep breath and went inside the tavern. Inside I was greeted by people with masks on their face, unlike my mask they had on silver masks along with everyone else in the tavern. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. By their aura, you could tell they were weaker than myself so I didn''t give any of them a second thought and went up to the second floor of the place. When I got to the second floor I saw the many people with green masks, I only glanced over them as I made my way to the third floor. Unlike the other floors, the third floor was almost empty as only 10 people were there. I made my way towards the table they were all sitting by and took an empty seat. "You are back earlier than expected?" One of the people asked as they looked at me. "So did you get the job done?" Another one asked and by her voice and figure you could see that she was a girl. I took a deep breath and looked at them "I didn''t kill the boy!" The moment those words left my mouth they all looked at me, I am sure if they didn''t have those masks on you would be able to see their stunned expressions. "Explain!" The woman next to me spoke and everyone nodded and looked at me awaiting an answer. "I got into the castle and even made my way into the boy''s room safely. " I said in a calm tone, this made the rest frown. "Then why did you not kill the boy?" The woman said in a cold tone. "Because the boy was not the only one in that room." I said. "Let me get this straight, you went into the room while the queen was in there?" The woman said. "Of course not, I made sure the boy was the only one there before I went in, but who could have known that there were would be an expert hiding in the room!" I said and everyone became even more confused. "An expert?" They all said at the same time. "That''s right, this expert was not any easy expert as he was definitely in the immortal rank." They all looked at me doubting my words "What are talking about, all the immortal ranked cultivators are not in the capital right now." The woman spoke and they all nodded in agreement. The bulky man who has being on my nerves all night spoke again with a sarcastic tone. "You bastard!" I shouted and took out my daggers while he got out his. Suddenly..... ~Rumble Everyone halted and looked at the window and saw the appearance of someone who was wearing a golden mask, we both put away our weapons and made a 90-degree bow, the others on the table stood up and did the same. "Leader!" We all said in unison before we looked back up towards this golden masked man. "You said you were obstructed by an expert right?" He said in a voice that was filled with a calmness which made the heart shutter. "Yes.That''s right leader." I said not wanting to lie, I had a feeling this man would know if I lied or not. "What do you think was he stronger than me?" He asked me and I looked at him, looking at the presence I feel from this man and the one I felt from the expert it''s obvious who is stronger. "Leader...He was much stronger than you at least his presence was."I said and everyone looked at me with daggers in their eyes they were all behind me so I could no see it clearly but I was not weak so I could clearly feel their killing intent towards me. "Interesting... There are only 3 people stronger than me in the Lucas clan but I didn''t know that there was yet another one hiding in their ranks. If that is really true then the world is in for a beating unless the other countries are also hiding experts like that." The leader amused himself. "Leader...About the mission." I said and before I said anything else he stopped me with his hand. "That''s fine, no money is enough for me to go against such expert. If ''He'' wants the crown prince dead he needs to go and do it himself." The leader said before he vanished into thin air. We all looked at the scene he left behind speechless, ''since when was the leader able to cast without a chant?'' we all thought to ourselves. He also had on a noble like clothes but not as fancy as the kid. Behind him stood the man who dragged us out of the stage. "Here is the seal for their chains."
