《The Lord of War [Dropped]》 Prologue!! Hello guys, this is my first story so take it easy on me, also the first few chapters might be more of an info dump than a real chapter, the reason for that is this the first semi-arc . The big arc will start after chapter 6. Please give a big thumbs up for Nexus Wolf since he edited the story :D Book 1 > Semi-Arc ¨C The start ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The planet Azeroth, which is a temporary placeholder name, is a terrestrial planet in a thinly populated solar system with only nine other planets. Azeroth is about 37.5 times bigger than Earth and its gravity is about 6.18 times that of Earth. A single day lasts 46.76 hours and a year lasts 322 days. The planet is made up of 4 continents, which makes up 38% of the planet''s landmass. 5 moon(s) orbit the planet and Azeroth itself orbits a red sun in a fairly circular orbit. The plant-like organisms on this planet are made up of trees and flowers, with only a few dozens of the grass species, an even lesser number of the bush species and almost no brush and fungi species. Although the grass species are few in number, they grow fast, covering wide areas. The trees and flowers cover a lot more, and because they use up most of the nutrients, other species like shrubs and fungi haven''t been able to grow a lot. In terms of development and specialization, the species on this planet aren''t very impressive, but their shapes and colors make for astonishing natural works of art and many already show great promise for a highly specialized natural balance in the distant future. They also have astonishing secrets that make up for their weakness in science. The underwater plants are also very basic. The steps to higher, more specialized organisms are slowly being taken, but it will take thousands of years before we''ll be able to see more variation in the planet''s underwater life. With the exception of a few very basic insect and fish species, this planet is the home to the 4 species which live on the 4 main continents. In the southern continent, we have the Demon race which is in control of the southern continent. The Demon race consists of many different species which are unique in their own way. There were the Succubi, the Imps, the Goblins, the Vampires, the Taurens and many other species. In the western continent, we have the Devil race ruling over the western continent. The Devil race consists of many different species which are unique in their own way. The Lamias, Liches, Valkyries, were only a few of the various species. In the eastern continent, we have the Human race, presiding over eastern continent. The Human race unlike the others is a single race, but they are also the weakest amongst the other races. But they make up for their lack of power with their higher numbers. In the northern continent, we have the Beast race, in control of the north continent. The Beast race unlike the other races which were all humanoid, were different, as they were like animals, animals who had gained intelligence over the years, because of how the continent was made and due to the number of nutrients they had gotten. Because of this, they were enormous in size and their power rose above the other races, thanks to their higher ability to sense the qi in the world. This world, unlike earth, relies on its dense qi, allowing the races to sense it. The qi allows the people to make their own body stronger and more powerful. It was this qi that allowed the Beast race to develop intelligence. This qi also helps the races to move to a lot faster and it is because of this qi that this world is dominated by the strong, while the weak can only stay at the side and keep their opinion in their hearts. If you are weak then you are nothing but trash in the eyes of the people in the world. In the Human continent, there is a small country called Lessau. The country of Lessau was an average-sized country with a population of 542764 humans. It was located between the woodlands to the North, the rough beaches to the South, the frozen lands to the East and the hills to the West. The country of Lessau mainly lives off of woodcrafting, animal breeding, and hunting. Lessau itself is mainly covered with large hills with an arctic climate, which has lead to a loosely concentrated population, despite the number of people. Most of them lived in tiny villages. The country''s landscape is depressing; dried up lakes; fierce rock formations and forgotten farmlands are just a sliver of the aridity Lessau has to offer, which is why the country is shirked among foreigners. The people of Lessau are kind towards foreigners and tend to welcome them with heartiness. They feel foreigners could popularize the country''s well-being. Lessau has loose laws and law enforcement, which is fairly normal. The people are calm due to their gentle nature, thanks to the fortunate climate. This is also reflected in the country''s flag, which has five vertical stripes in orange, dark pink, dark blue and gray. Their coat of arms is a cat on a triangle. In the north of the country, there was a city named Embercrest. The city of Embercrest was built atop emerald hills of grass and is truly a fully modernized urban phenomenon. Its beauty is matched by the backdrop of an abundance of hills which have helped shape the city to what it is today. The materials these hills brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built in various round shapes and sizes, which mimics the playfulness of the hills around them. The skyline was covered with unique skyscrapers, as they clearly show what they represent to the city itself. Recreation is unmatched in Embercrest and it has attracted a lot of attention. Many new cultures have left their mark not just on the city''s people, but also upon the city''s identity. What historically was a city of plain, ordinary people has grown into a multicultural hub and it is this that unites the 100 thousand people to this day. It''s this multicultural identity that has truly left its mark. Hundreds of restaurants, bistros, and food carts offer a plethora of culinary choices and those who feel hungry for something else can enjoy aerobics, nature, dance or one of the many other recreational venues. In Embercrest there was a man walking around, as he man gazed at the sky with his deep azure eyes, his black long hair carried by the wind as it moved from one side to the other. He seemed to be about 18 years of age and his features were above average, his height was 182cm while his body was not that muscular but he did have an average build. Despite everything else, the clothes he had on showed his status in the city. What was once a shirt is now a gross, tattered home to lice and dirt, hanging from one of his shoulders like a discarded old rag. A big piece has been ripped from the right side and there are holes all over, leaving much of him exposed to the elements. He wore a worn out fleece over his shirt. It was in relatively good condition excluding the holes, but at least it helps him stay warm, even if only a little. His pants were just as bad. There were holes all over the bottom part and there was a big tear on the right side. But at least he had shoes to protect his feet. Although they were tattered, the shoes were a little too big and there were holes in the right side of the right shoe. He wore a scarf around his neck and had it wrapped around his face up to his nose. It was torn and slightly stained, but otherwise in a decent condition. His head was covered by a bandana, with a few small stains here and there, but otherwise in a relatively great condition. As he looked at the sky he closed his eyes, as he opened his mouth."Mom, Dad, the day has come...I can finally show this world my true self!" He shouted to the sky opening his eyes which showed the great determination burning within them. Chapter 1 - Van! As he looked at the sky he closed his eyes, as he opened his mouth."Mom, Dad, the day has come...I can finally show this world my true self!" He shouted to the sky opening his eyes which showed the great determination burning within them. growl~ "Hmm....First I need to get something to eat" The young man said as he held his stomach. He looked back towards the road he was on and made his way to a place where he could get food. The streets were buzzing with people who came here tonight to get something to eat. The place was filled with all kinds of food, the delicious aroma made him go crazy, as his stomach rumbled incessantly. growl~ "Hold on....I am almost there!" The young man said to himself, moving faster. After walking for a while the young man arrived in front of a tavern. From the outside it looks folksy, with an inviting and enchanting atmosphere surrounding the place. Large stones along with huge stone beams make up most of the building''s outer structure. It''s tough to see through the high windows, but the cheerful sounds from within could be heard outside. As you enter the tavern through the thick, metal door, you''re welcomed by excitement, with people dancing merrily. The bartender though busy with his work, would welcome you with a wave. It is as alluring on the inside as it is on the outside. Hard wooden beams support the upper floor and the rows of small lights attached to them. The walls were covered with photographs of personal achievements, all related to the nearby mountain. Some, were of the people who reached the summit, others were simply filled with happy people. The tavern itself was packed. Tourists seemed to be the primary clientele here, which could be seen as the best sign you could get. Several long tables were occupied by, what must be separate groups who have bonded over great food and conversation. The other, smaller tables were also occupied by people who clearly enjoyed each other''s company, though they seemed to be strangers who met here. Even most of the stools at the bar were occupied, though nobody seemed to mind more company. The more the merrier, they would say. "Van!" The bartender yelled as he looked at the young man, implying that this must be the name of the young man. He made his way towards the bartender, walking through the crowds of people. "Can I get something I swear I will make it up to you?" The young man said as he looked at the old bartender. The bartender, who seemed to have known what he wanted to ask took a plate loaded with food and gave it to the young man, "I won''t always be here so you¡¯ll have to pull yourself together soon, lad!" The old man said to the young man before he gave him the plate. "Don''t worry. I won''t be a useless moron anymore" Van said with a confident smile. The old man raised an eyebrow seeing the young man talk so confidently, when he had never done so before. The old man smiled "You better, I promised your parents I would make a man out of you, lad. What would I tell them if you stayed useless?" The old man sneered. chomp~ chomp~ The young man dug in and started to eat the food in front of him, making the old man smile again. Then, the old man gave out a deep sigh, as he looked up at the ceiling and smiled once again "It seems like he has finally found himself" The old man whispered to himself, thinking about how the young man had changed, before going back to serving the people in the room. After eating and calming his stomach, Van left the tavern and made his way to his house. After he got there he took off his clothes and opened a chest where he looked at with a smile. Inside the chest were a set of black medieval clothing. He took them out and admired them, before wearing them. He looked down at himself, his body now garbed in better clothes. His fairly short sleeved, hide jacket covered him to just above his knees, barely tied with string at the center. The sleeves of his jacket were a comfortable fit, reaching well below his wrists, decorated with a band almost at the edges. The jacket had a narrow, rectangular neckline which revealed part of the ornate shirt worn below it, and together with a long leather belt, it was held together by an ornate pin. The leather belt was solely for decorative purposes and as a symbol of his status. His pants were simple and wide, reaching down to his bound cloth boots. The boots were made from a fairly rare cloth but were otherwise of a commonly found design. The young man, after making sure that everything was on, looked down at the chest once more and took out a blade. The blade was a very short, broad, barbed blade made of iron. It had a grip wrapped in fairly common, forest green cow leather. With its sharp, dual-edged blade this weapon could slice, dice, stab and jab at one¡¯s enemies and shred whatever''s left of them to pieces. This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. The blade had a barbed, twisted cross-guard, offering plenty of protection to the owner''s hands and thus his or her life. The cross guard had a plain twist on each side, a sign of mass production. A thick pommel was marked with the symbol of the house this sword belonged to, a symbol which doesn''t prove much. The blade itself was simple. No markings could be found. The weapon was meant for fighting, and decorations don''t make you fight better. This weapon could be used by anybody with a decent amount of money. Whatever the intended purpose of its owner, this weapon could fulfill it. Just by looking at the amount of things that were in the chest you could already image that this young man might not have a simple background. "Time for me to get going then. The exam starts soon...Dad, Mom, wish me luck" The young man said as he put blade behind him and went out of his shabby looking house, the house would make anyone looking at it surprised, as they would wonder how it was still standing even though it looked like that. Van made his way towards the north side of the city where the ''Medwerth, Academy'' was located. The young man walked faster, excited about how his life would be now that the promised day had come. How would the people treat him? How strong can he really become? There were lots of things going through the young man''s head as he made his way towards the ''Medwerth, Academy''. After walking for a couple of hours the young man made it and stood in front of the academy. The academy seemed to be a castle as it had fourteen skinny, round towers dominating the skyline of this massive castle, connected by enormous, chunky walls made of sandstone. Small windows were scattered here and there across the walls in an asymmetric pattern, along with small holes for archers and artillery. A sizable gate with hefty wooden doors, a drawbridge, and hot oil pots gives a safe place to rest in this forest stronghold and it''s the only easy way in, but easy is very relative here. Plain fields of a type of grass covered most of the fields outside of the castle, adding to the castle''s aesthetics. This castle had clearly stood the test of time and its inhabitants intended to make sure it stayed that way for ages to come. The young man looked at the long line in front of him where a lot of people stood waiting for their turn. There were two lines, one for signing up for the teaching post and the other is where one signs up as a student. The line for the teaching post was occupied by only about 5 people while the line for student¡¯s application was occupied by over 500 people. Looking at the long line in front of him, the young man took a deep breath in, and then out before he stood, at the very last place of the line looking forward to when his turn would come. Time went by and many people were either given an emblem or they were told to leave. "Next!" The middle-aged man yelled, looking down at his paper as he crossed off something. Seeing that it was his turn, Van made his way and stood in front of this man, waiting to be assessed to see if he had what it took to enter the academy. The middle-aged man looked up at him with a lazy look. But upon seeing the outfit the young man had on his eyes brightened. "What is your name and age?" The middle-aged man asked, with a polite tone. Looking at the change of attitude of this middle-aged man, Van frowned. He knew that if he didn''t look like a noble the man wouldn''t even look at him let alone be polite. "My name is Van. I am 18 years old." He said. The man wrote it down as he told Van to pick up the emblem in front of him. Van picked the emblem up, a plain white emblem with nothing on it. But the moment Van picked it up the emblem became blue before a number showed up on it, the number was a 2. Looking at it the man smiled "Please take care of that emblem, for it is the only proof of identity that you are a part of this academy. Now, please make your way towards that old man over there so he can assign you to your room. Van made his way towards the old man the man gestured towards. He looked closely at this old man in front of him, noting his features. The old man had white hair and beard, with a wrinkled face. His eyes were closed but it felt like they were open, staring at the young man. Van hesitated for a moment, before he took a deep breath and made his way to the old man. "Hello?" Van said. The old man opened his eyes , taking the emblem out of Van''s hand. He took a look at it before giving it back to him "Your room number is 2. Now go!" The old man said and closed his eyes again. Van didn''t want to stay any longer, so he made his way inside the castle where he got in due to the emblem. Chapter 2 - Room 2! Hello this is from Steve your author, I just want to ask for your help if you find any mistakes in my work and please don''t forget to review this and comment, other than that I hope you have a great day and Enjoy your read :D ________________________________________________________________________________________ "Hello?" Van asked tentatively, worried that the old man might be dozing. The old man opened his eyes, and looked over Van, before extending his arm and taking the emblem out of Van''s hand. He took a look at it and then gave it back to him. "Your room number is 2 go!" The old man said and closed his eyes again. Van didn''t want to stay any longer so he made his way inside the castle where he got in due to the emblem. The inside of the castle was astonishing as you could see the many different rooms, and brilliant architecture of the humongous building. There were many people walking around in groups, each group wearing their own set of armor. But the thing that differentiated them was the marks on their arms. It was a I or II on their left arm, while they had different emblems in their right arm. They had all worn silver or red armor. This set of armor has a flat top helm with a pointed, v-shaped opening leaving the eyes and mouth exposed; a pointed nose guard protects the nose. Attached to the forehead area is a bear face shaped ornament. The shoulders are fairly oval, long and fairly small in size. They''re decorated with a wide piece of thick, colored cloth, draped over each shoulder plate and hanging over the edges. The upper arms are protected by square, half covering rerebraces which sit well under the shoulder plates. The lower arms were covered by vambraces which have a masterfully crafted upper bear jaw attached on the outer sides. The breastplate is made from many layers of smaller metal pieces, mimicking the scales of a reptile. It covers only the front, the back is where the attachment straps are and they offer no real protection. The upper legs are covered by square, half covering classes. The lower legs are protected by greaves which have an intricately crafted sigil attached to each outer side. They were all moving out of the castle in a line; everyone followed their group and left one by one following the people with red armor out. Van looked around as the people were leaving one by one and found someone else who didn''t have armor on them. "Excuse me?" Van said to the young man in front of him. The young man looked at Van, curiosity etching itself on his face. "Where are they going?" Van asked as he pointed at the group of people who were leaving the academy. The young man looked at Van with a raised eyebrow "You don''t know?" He asked and Van shook his head showing his denial. "Well...They are going to escort the new students from the other country''s who would like to come and study here" He explained matter-of-factly. Van made a conflicted expression, still unable to understand. The young man looked at Van, his curiosity replaced by surprise. "Don''t you know anything?" He asked Van. Van replied with a wry smile. How could he know what had happened in the city with his status. Who would want to tell him anything in these circumstances? The young man gave out a heavy sigh "Just a few years ago there was a prophecy that spoke of someone who would take this world by a storm; the prophecy said that he/she would be a student from this academy. It was also said that whoever this person might be, he/she will without a doubt be strong and smart as he will change this world forever. The prophecy went as such ''In the upcoming years there will be a person who shall emerge from Medwerth, Academy, this person whoever he/she might be will bring a new era with his/her''s mighty strength, he/she will without a doubt take this world by a storm as he/she will destroy one army after the other. This person won''t just use their brute strength as they will use both their head and heart to move everything under the heavens'' I can''t remember anything else but it kept on showing how this person will be in the future" The young man explained. Van was even more confused now "Then why are people coming from different countries to this academy?" Van asked the young man, who looked at him like it was obvious. "Of course the other countries will send their people here, the prophecy only said that this person was from this academy, it didn''t say anything about the person being from this country" The young man said and Van finally understood. To be honest, Van already knew why, but he thought this prophecy said the person was from this country and that this young man simply didn''t remember. But if it''s like that then this makes sense, but Van didn¡¯t mind it too much, since he didn''t want to spend too much time on someone else as he has his own goals. Stolen story; please report. Van took out his emblem "Do you know where room 2 is located?" He asked the young man as he held up his emblem in air, the young man looked at the emblem "Ah..Room 2 well, it is.....ROOM 2!!!!" The young man was shocked as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped, he took the emblem out of Van''s hand "Did you steal it!" He shouted at Van and the people also looked at Van in shock. After the young man shouted Room 2 they were all stupefied as they turned towards Van and the young man. Van looked around at the people who were staring at him and then back at the young man who had his emblem "I didn''t steal it, the old guy in front of the gate gave it to me, and I just wanted to know where room 2 was located¡. What is wrong with room 2?" Van asked. Right after he finished speaking everyone started to whisper amongst themselves as they kept observing Van with one eye. Some of the people even pointed at him sometimes, and Van was stunned by this reaction. He kept on wondering what was wrong with room 2? The young man handed the emblem back to Van "Room 2 is located on the second floor, just take the stairs over there and go up. Just when you come up move to the right, it is the second door to your right" The young man said, viewing Van with a new look now. Van went towards the stairs, unnerved by this reaction. "I can''t believe it, room 2!" "The other people are not even here so how can he get room 2?" "Is he new? I haven''t seen him before?" The people were whispering amongst themselves. But they were loud enough to be heard by Van. But he didn''t pay any attention to it as he went towards his room. Right now the only thing in his head was if he would get any food here or if it costs money? He made his way towards the room and stood in front of it, the door was just made out of wood while there was a huge number 2 sign on the door, there was a mark on the door where the key and door handle should have been, the mark seemed to be the same size and shape as his emblem so Van put the emblem on door and it opened. The inside of the room was pretty spacious as it had a long brown couch which seemed to be made out of leather; there was a fireplace in front of the couch. On the sides, you could see two doors on the all which led to where the beds were at; the doors were made out of the same material as the door in front. Other than that the room seemed to be just a spacious room with a bed and a couch. Van went to one of the rooms and put his stuff away and lay on top of the bed "Finally! It has been so long since I have had one these!" He shouted as he put his hands up in the air. growl~ Van''s stomach started to rumble and he held it tight "I am hungry" He said as he stood up from his bed and went out of the room. He made his way downstairs as that was where the hall was located based on what the people said when he asked them. Van made his way across to the front gate towards the hall when suddenly many people started to gather around the door. He stopped to see what they were looking at. What stunned him, was the sight of many people entering the academy while being escorted by the people he saw leave the academy just a while ago. The people they escorted were all wearing fancy clothes as they either made the people behind them carry their things or they didn¡¯t have anything at all. Van knew exactly what types of these people were from one look at their face, he sneered as he was about to look away but his gaze was captured by one of the people coming in. "Cute...SO CUTE!" He shouted in his head as he looked at the young woman who stepped in. She had long blonde hair with deep blue eyes, her skin was white and her features were so great it made everyone hold their breath expect for Van. He was looking at the little bird on the young woman''s shoulder. The bird had blue fur with big brown eyes giving off a noble aura as it looked at the people surrounding them. growl~ Once again his stomach started to rumble, so he put his hands on it and looked at the bird again. He didn''t want to leave now, he wanted to look at it for a while longer. growl~ sigh... "Let''s get food. I will see the bird later¡.. hopefully" He said and made his way out of the crowd and towards the hall Chapter 3 - Move! Hmmm.... Van looked around at the empty hall, wondering what to do. The hall was just a huge place with chairs and tables arranged neatly. At the very front you could see a couple of people who were standing behind a desk; these people were two old women. Behind them was where you could find the food. After Van spotted the food he made his way through the hall and got in front of the two women "Can I get some food please?" He asked very politely stunning the two women. This was the first time that someone had asked for food politely and had not ordered them to get the food arrogantly, or told them to get food bluntly. "Hold on sir" One of the ladies said and went and got food for Van. When she got back, Van looked at the plate filled with all sorts of food, his eyes widening. As someone who had not gotten this much food in a long time, Van shed a small fake tear. This made the two old ladies chuckle a little before they handed the food to him, "Thank you" Van thanked them. Both of the ladies smiled at him and gave him a slight bow. He left and sat at one of the tables and looked down at the mountain of food. chomp~ chomp~ Glup~Glup~ He started devouring his food like a person who hadn¡¯t gotten anything to eat for days. After he finished eating he returned the plate to the ladies and thanked them before he made his way back to his room. While he walked through the academy he noticed that the crowd at the entrance had dispersed, and that only a few people were standing around. Van was a little disappointed that the bird was not there anymore. Not giving up, he decided to look around for a while, just in case luck favored him. But even after his search, he couldn¡¯t find it. Giving up, he headed up to the second floor. Huh.... ''Why are there so many people in front of my door?'' Van thought as he looked at the horde of people in front of his door. They stood around, whispering among themselves. Van went to a group of people who were whispering and looked at them. "Why are these people standing here?" his words were quiet, but it caught the ears of the big men who stood in front of the door. Some of them looked at Van with disdain as they sneered while the rest didn''t even bother with him. The group looked at Van¡¯s confused face before a girl spoke "They are guarding the princess''s room so that no one bothers the princess of course" Van, who seemed to have understood something, looked at the men blocking the door and moved towards them, standing in front of them. The men were 2 head taller than him, but he didn''t look up towards them but looked at their chest "Move!" He said. Hearing his words, the men started to laugh along with the people standing around. Some even asked if Van was stupid or something. "Or what!" One of the men threatened him, placing his hand on his sword. "This is my room so move!" Van once again asked them to move with a serious tone. The laughing subsided, as many people were confused with what he meant by his room. As they all knew who the room belonged to, the men sneered as they looked away from Van. Van looked up towards the one in front of him and grabbed the cuff of the armor and pulled the man down, staring at him in the eyes. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. "__" Everyone was stunned as they looked at the huge man being pulled down like that without a single problem. Everyone looked at the emblem on the man''s arm and now they were even more confused. But the person who was even more confused was the man who was on his knees, as he couldn''t understand how this young man had such strength or why he couldn''t move his body at all. "Now get lost" Van said in a low voice and threw the man to the side, tossing him aside like a doll. Van took out his emblem and just like before, he used it to open the room. The other men unsheathed their swords; their faces were distorted with anger and shame, as they thought about the embarrassment their friend just got. One of them swung the sword down towards Van. Van raised one eyebrow and took a step back. To others, it seemed as if Van just took a step back, but to the man who swung the sword, the world around him started to become blurry as he fell onto the ground. Everyone was startled at this scene, as their jaws dropped and eyes widened, "What happened to him ?! No one even touched him!" They all yelled, shocked at the unbelievable sight as they looked at the man on the ground. The other 2 who were about to attack were even more confused as they knew exactly how strong their friend was. Van didn''t care about the other two who were standing there, gaping with their mouths wide open, ignorant of what had happened. He stepped over the fallen body of the man and just used the emblem to open the door. After he opened it everyone gave out a loud gasp as they watched how Van just walked into the room and closed the door behind him. "Wait a minute! This doesn''t make any sense, who was that?" the people began to quickly gossip about what had transpired and how this unknown young man could enter the room. The rumors of a new student who also lived in room 2 spread all over the academy like wildfire, about the fact that he beat the shit out of the second years so quickly that they didn''t even know what had happened to them. Meanwhile, when Van entered the room his eyes widened, looking at how messy the room had become. Clothes, articles, and lot of other stuff were strewn about, and Van could already sense the trouble that was heading his way. He headed to his room, not bothering about the mess that was in the room. After he opened the door, his eyes widened in shock, seeing the half naked girl in the room who was about to take off her underwear. Her tits were visible and he could see everything along with her curves, yet the only thing he could not see were the things under her panties. The young girl had long blonde hair and deep blue eyes, and she was the one Van had seen at the entrance. But her body was not what got his attention; rather it was the bird that was rolling around on his bed. Like a king the bird kept on rolling like it didn''t give a shit about anything else. Chapter 4 – To all new Students! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"The young girl screamed as she held her arms over her chest, covering her breasts. But with the size of her arms, she could only cover her nipples. The scream grabbed Van''s attention and he started to observe the girl from head to toe, his nose starting to bleed as he covered his nose with his hand. He looked at the girl who was about to slash him with her sword. He didn''t even see where the sword came from but he jumped back, reflexively, dodging the slash. "BANG!" The sword tore a hole through the floor. The girl looked at Van as her eyes tearing up. But she kept chasing him with the sword. Alarmed, Van on moving out of the way, and every time she missed, her tears accumulated. Finally she stopped and hastily put on some clothes, covering her naked body up. The bird kept watching as all this happened, its face filled with interest, as it kept on switching gazes from one person to another. Van looked at the girl and he covered his body with his hands as he looked at the girl moving towards him. "You pervert! You want to take my innocence?! Over my dead body!" He shouted and the girl stopped noticing how he was acting, as she grew angry and started to run at him with her sword. He nimbly dodged one slash after the other and kept yelling ''I am getting raped, someone help me!''. Each time those words escaped his mouth, the girl started to think about how the situation looked. Indeed he came into the room, but it was she who started run towards him half naked and it was also her who attacked him with a sword while he was unarmed. Realizing her mistake, she stopped and looked at the young man before her. "Are you planning to rape me?" he asked and the young girl frowned. Your sister! How can I rape you as a man! "I am not going to rape you today. So calm down and let''s talk" She said, drawing in a deep breath. Van smiled watching this as he looked at her. "Does that mean you will rape me tomorrow?" When his words left his mouth her face turned ugly, as she tightened her grip on her sword and glared at him "No one is raping anyone!" she shouted. "Then why were you trying to hit me with that sword while being half naked?!" Van asked. At this, she didn''t know whether to cry or laugh. Which one of us came into the room first? Which one of us was seen naked? But she didn''t want to say that as this person might find a way to make this even more complicated. "Yolo!" The bird on the bed spoke. They both looked at the fat bird was relaxing like a king, his relaxed posture indicating his enjoyment at the scene. This made Van smile, as this bird was very cute indeed. But the thoughts running in the girl¡¯s mind were different. Her mind was racing, trying to find a solution to this predicament. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. "How did you get in here?" She questioned him and Van looked back at her "That is my question, this room is mine!" The more this young man spoke, the more she grew angry "What do you mean this is your room, I was here first!" She shouted. "No, look. That¡¯s my stuff over there! I was here before you but I just went out to get something to eat, that''s all" Van said, pointing at the sword in the corner of the room. The girl placed her hand on her face as she looked at this person. She didn''t know if he was stupid or if he was just acting like he is. "You know what? Fine, this was my fault. I will move to the next room. Happy?" She said, grabbing her stuff as she left the room. After he watched her leave with her stuff, Van smiled "She is so easy to confuse, well thank god this is over" he said in a low voice. But the bird had heard all of it as it started to roll on the bed "Yolo!" "Yolo!" Van was very satisfied with the outcome as he got to see that beauty almost naked and survive without injury. To top it off, the cute bird was left behind. In the mean time the girl put her stuff away in her new room, her head storming, thinking about everything that had happened. She stopped unpacking and stood up "Hold on? I am the one who was seen naked? ME THE PRINCESSES OF THIS COUNTRY WAS SEEN NAKED!!" She shouted in an angry tone as she took out her sword again and made her way through the place where the couch was. She came to a sudden halt "That''s weird?" She mumbled to herself reminiscing about the fight again. She knew her own strength and no matter how strong this person might be, he was dodging her sword strikes with ease. After she thought about the fight over and over again she noticed that no matter how fast her sword moved, he acted as if he knew where it was coming from before she could even doing it and moved accordingly. "So he was just toying with me this whole time" her voice trembled with anger, as she tightened her grip on her sword and moved towards his room. Beep~ Beep~. Her emblem started to beep so she took it out and checked it. The emblem had become white and words etched themselves on to its surface. ''To all the new students this year, please make your way to the hall'' Chapter 5 - Qi user! Hello guys steve here, I just wanted to ask you guys if you could point out my mistakes please that would help me remember to fix my problems for future chapters and help others read it better thank you in advance :D ________________________________________________________________________________________ ¡®To all the new students this year, please make your way to the hall¡¯ "Damn it!" The young man woman said as she put her sword away and walked back to her room to change. Van came out of the room with the bird on his shoulder and moved out of the room, the moment he stepped out of the room the many people who were waiting to see the corpse of the young man was dumbfounded, not only has their prediction been wrong but it was completely thrown away when they saw the bird on his shoulder, they all knew who the bird belonged to and when they saw that the young man was not harmed in any way and had the bird they knew something must have happened in there. Van just gave the people a glance and moved away slowly towards the stairs where the people made way for him as he got closer to them, they all watched how he left without saying anything, they all wanted to enter the room and take a look at what just happened in there and if the young girl was still ok, but their question was answered when the young woman came out of the room and made her way down the stairs and towards the hall. The people were now looking at her back as she left, they were left with more questions now that the girl was not in their sight anymore. "What happened? why did the Heavenly queen give him her bird?" One of the people asked and the rest all put on a confused expression. In the hall that was once empty was now filled with people who unlike the others on the academy didn''t have on armor but their normal clothes. After Van entered no one looked his way as everyone was looking at the group of boys and girls with the fancy clothes and servants by their side, some of the people were whispering among themselves as they looked at the fancy group. Van found a random seat next to a short-haired boy who seemed to be at the age of 21, his looks were average and his body build was similar to Van''s. His eyes were light brown and he had on a yellow robe while reading something. "Can I take a seat?" Van asked and the young man looked up at him before nodding his head. Van sat down and waited for the teachers to arrive, a while later the young girl entered and many people looked at her and the group that was in the middle of attention stood up to greet here and told her to sit with them, she couldn''t be bothered with them so she just sat next to them. Shortly afterward a white-haired old man entered the room, the old man was the same old man that gave Van his emblem, he went to the front of the room and looked at everyone in the room, everytime he swept his gaze over someone they felt as if something was not right with this old man as they looked away from his eyes, when the old man looked at Van he raised an eyebrow as he saw that Van didn''t look away at all, with a smile he looked back at the people in the hall. "Welcome to Medwerth Academy, as all of you know this year we have students from the capital as well as students from many different places''s but I would like to point out that no one is going to get a different treatment than anyone else whether your rich, poor, or good looking as long as you have strength none of it will matter, is that clear?" He said with a cold tone and no one spoke up. "Good, now the fact that you are all here means that you are all at the Qi User level, whether you''re at stage 1 - 9 it doesn''t matter, in this school as long as you show your use in the field you are fine. In this school we have a strict rule and that no matter what if you refuse the orders from someone who is at a higher rank than you for no reason you will get a punishment, and if someone abuses their power and rank that will also result in a punishment. The ranks we have in this school is as following, everyone who is at the first stage to the third stage in the Qi user level is a mere Soldier and have no authority. The next rank is the fourth stage to the seventh stage which is the Second lieutenant rank. They have the power to order the soldiers under them in a fight but they don''t have the give out their own orders they will give out the orders from their superior and unless given permission they don''t have the right to issue any commands. The third rank is the First Lieutenant rank and they have the highest authority in the Qi user level, they have to be at stage 8 to become one and just to make it clear, you can''t just become the first lieutenant because you are at stage 8, you have to start from the start and move your way up by collecting merits. After we are done you will all enter your own chosen divisions and you will just be a mere soldier whether you move up will depend on how much merits you managed to gain while listing to your orders, anyone who goes against the orders will be labeled as a traitor and killed, am I understood?" The old man said and everyone replied with a ''Yes sir!'' "Good, now I will only tell you that every day you will have lessons alongside your missions and all these lessons will be held by your division captains, if you skip any lesson you will not be given any second chance as you will be kicked out of the academy immediately, so make sure not to skip any lessons, the only time you are allowed to skip your lessons are when you are doing missions and your captains will be informed by your Major''s for that, now off you go, the division leaders should be just outside waiting for you" The old man said and left the room, everyone else followed him including Van. Chapter 6 – Warhammer Division! Hmm... Van looked around the place outside of the hall, he was sure there was no one here when they entered the hall but now 6 different groups have gathered in front of the place. "General!" The group of people said as they slightly bent their backs to the old man, the old man didn''t smile or anything but only looked at the group of people "Here is the new batch of students, make sure to inform them and also tell them more about the rules in the academy after they join your division" the old man said in a cold tone, this made the group of people sweat a little "Yes General!" The group yelled in unison before they stood back up and looked at the students, the old man left and everyone was thinking about what to do now. "Hello we are the Captains of the divisions in the school as well as your future teachers, I am sure the general has already told you what we are going to do now, please choose the division you want and follow your Captains back to your division headquarters." The tall and fat man in the front said. "Now all the Captains will give you a simple introduction of their division.....Also, make sure to choose wisely because the division you choose today will be the division you will stay with forever, there is no way for you to switch divisions after today." The man said before he stood back next to the other people. The woman at the very end on the right took a step forward and looked at us "My name is Ivona Liliana and I am the captain of the Stealth Division in the academy. My division is made out of a group of people who excel in stealth as they will kill any enemy without being noticed, we train in stealth techniques that will allow us to hide in the shadows and becoming one with the shadow. Out purpose is to create the ultimate assassins in the world that can kill anything under the heavens using any means necessary." The woman said and took a step back, everyone looked at her with awe as they just noticed that if she didn''t speak they wouldn''t have even known if she was standing there. The massive man who was standing next to the woman took a step forward and looked at the group "I am named Argus Xenos and I am the captain of the Templar Division. My division was created in order to protect the academy. We are the academy''s knight''s and we train in technique''s that has something to do with swords and shields" The man took a step back and the red-haired women next to him took a step forward. "My name is Candace Meli and I am the captain of the Terror Division. Our division is simple, we only have to cause our enemy''s terror, we specialise in getting information using methods like torture, infiltration and so on. Our division can''t have any weak minded person so make sure to think really hard about it before you choose" She said and took a step back, next to her stood a black haired woman unlike the others she was different, if the others were darkness she was the light, if they were the battlefield she was the healer, the air around her screamed kindness. "Hello, my name is Tia Souli and I am the Captain of the Healing Division. Our purpose is to heal the people in the battlefield and everyone we can, we learn healing techniques we learn are all healing techniques, and unlike the other division''s our''s get merits each time we help or heal someone" She said and took a step back, next to her stood a young looking man who had on a blue robe instead of armor like the others. He didn''t take a step forward like the others but stood where he was standing. "My name is Cosmo Jase and I am the captain of the Strategy Division, there is nothing else to be said" He said and closed his mouth, Next to him stood a fat man who was about 2 meters in height with black short hair, his deep brown eyes looked at us as he took a step forward, this was the man who was talked to us in the first place. Our group was made for war and to clean up the evildoers in our country, we practice any technique from swordsmanship to archery as long as it can help you kill your enemies faster....Now that we have given you a simple explanation of the Divisions it''s time for you to choose, all you need to do is come behind the division you want to join and we will take you to our headquarters. " He said and took a step back. Everyone stood there for a moment before they went and choose their division, this includes Van who stood behind the fat man. After everyone chose their division the captain''s made their way through the castle and each went different ways taking the new students with them. Van''s group made their way to the Warhammer Division, the building had a huge sign, the sign was that of two red hammers that were smashing down on a skull. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello guys, it''s steve here, today and yesterday you might have wondered why are the chapters so short, to be honest, I didn''t want to make them so short but I had no choice as I needed to make the info dump of the story a bit short. These past chapters were the semi-arc of the story or the info dump of the story, I didn''t want to make it so long so I just made them each about 1k-1.4k words. From now on we will start on the first big Arc - The Hallow Order I have thought a lot about how I was going to start my story after the first semi-arc and after a lot of thinking and a lot of different Arc. I choose The Hallow Order as I felt it was a good starting point and that it will allow you to understand the mc better while in the mean time getting more action. I will make the chapters longer at between 1,7k - 2k words from now so that''s a relief for you guys as you will read more while I have to write the chapter *sigh* anyway I just wanted to tell you guys about why the chapters were short and my thoughts Ps: I am looking for an editor, I can''t pay but I will link the name in all my chapters as well as the cover of the story if you are interested just PM me or send me an email. By steve. Chapter 7 - First Mission! Hello guys here is the first chapter of The Hallow Order Arc Enjoy :D Ps: Looking for an editor! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Van''s group made their way to the Warhammer Division, the building had a huge sign, the sign was that of two red hammers that were smashing down on a skull. The building looked the same as the one they just came from, like a castle. "Follow me!" Christian said in a laid-back manner as we entered the small castle, the inside was also pretty much the same as the one before but the difference is the people who were walking around, they all had on silver armor with hammer sign on their arms. We made our way towards a board, Christian pointed at it "This is the mission board, it is here you will pick up you missions so don''t forget." he said and moved on from the board towards a room a that looked like a classroom as it had desk and chairs at the back and a huge desk with a board behind it in the front. "This room will be your classroom from now, starting from tomorrow you have to be here before sunrise and that goes for every other day except for when you are on a mission, am I understood?" he said looking at the people behind him "Yes sir!" they replied in unison. "Good, now go and pick you desk by placing your emblem on the right side" he said and the people behind him all went towards a desk and placed their emblem on the right side of the desk, this caused the emblem to flow blue before returning back its colour. "Take a seat, since today is your first day here I won''t take much of your time but I would like to use this time to explain few basic information with you." Christian said and stood behind the desk in the front and everyone sat down on their chairs and looked at him . "First, let''s talk about how many levels there are in Qi. The first level is the Qi User level and it has over 8 stages and it''s the level all of you are in right now...The next level is the Qi Grandmaster level, it has only 4 stages and it is also the level I am at right now, this level unlike the first level, will allow one to use Qi energy which allows me to break your skull in a matter of seconds so make sure not to piss me off....*sigh*.....Moving on we got the General level which also has 4 stages but this level will allow one to use the energy to fly or move things using it, the next level is the Lord level and it will be explained to you when you reach the General level so there is not point to think about it right now. Moving onto the more useful things we have the ranks that will be a big part of your life in the academy and outside of it, I am sure you already know about the Soldier rank and so on so let''s just talk about how to move up in ranks. In order to move through rank''s you will need to gain merits, each rank can be bought with a certain amount of merits like for example to become a Second Lieutenant you will need 30 merits while you need 8000 merits to become a general, now the merits can be gained by either doing missions which will reward you with certain amounts of merits or by killing evildoers around the country. The missions are ranked from F to SS and you as soldiers can only do F -rank missions for now but as you move higher in ranks you will be able to do higher-ranked missions. Now each mission will reward you differently like F-ranked missions might give you only 30 merits but the SS-ranked mission will give you 50000 merits. So higher ranked missions are much better way to gain merits but there is also a very high risk with higher ranked mission as they are very hard to do. Another way to gain merits is by killing evildoers like I just said a while ago, how high the rank of evildoers is the more merits you will gain for example by killing a soldier level evildoer you will gain only 1 merit, but if you kill a Major you will get 500 merits so make sure to kill as many evildoers while you are out on missions that way you can get more merits. Merits aren''t only used to move up ranks but it is also used to buy armor, weapons, techniques, elixirs e.g. so make sure to use your merits on them to help you move up in levels because you will need to be at a certain level before you can get a rank, for example, to become a captain not only do you need 300 Merits but you also need to be at the first stage of the Qi grandmaster level." After talking for so long Christian finally stopped talking and let the people sort out the information they just got. Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. Beep~ Beep~ Christian''s emblem started to beep, he looked at it for a while before looking at his class "You are dismissed for today, make sure to come back tomorrow at first light" he said before he left the room in a hurry. After everyone looked at each other for while they all stood up, none of them knew each other so there was nothing to talk about so they all left the room one by one the last being Van who was playing with the bird on his shoulder. Van leisurely made his way back to his room. After he went in the room he didn''t find the young girl anywhere so he just went to his room and jumped on his bed and went to sleep. After a while, the girl walked into the room and looked at the room where Van was sleeping after she remembered what had happened before her cheeks went red and she stormed into her room. The night descended and the room became quiet. In the next morning Van opened his eyes as he stood up and looked around his bed for the bird but couldn''t find it anywhere, he went out of the room and saw the young girl with the bird on her shoulder, when she made eye contact with him her ears turned red and she stormed off leaving him in room all alone. After sighting for a while he went and got changed as it was almost light. After getting changed and getting something to eat from the hall he made his way to the classroom. When he got there he found out he as the last person to arrive, he went to his desk and took a seat while putting his emblem on the right side of the desk. A few moments later a woman stepped into the room and looked at the students in front of here they all showed a confused expression as they didn''t know what was going on. "My name is Tina Chinoy and I am Christian Aaron''s First Lieutenant, today he got an order from his superiors so I am taking over the class until he gets back" She said and wrote her name on the board. She started to give the students a lesson about most of the things Christian has told them but in more detail, after 5 hours the lesson came to a halt and the students were dismissed. Most of the students stayed to get to know each other unlike yesterday but Van made his way out of the room, he has already made his plan''s for today as he went towards the Mission board and looked at it. Most of the Missions on the board were at rank F and there were some Rank E,D,C on it and even some rank B but other than that there was nothing higher. Van took out a Rank F mission and read the small paper.
Justice demands retribution! In this case, it requires death! Hero, a group of filthy miscreants killed some of our farmers without mercy. They also took some of our little girls. We will not let them go unpunished. Hero, be so kind and deal with those miserable miscreants. They''ll be no match for you, those miscreants. I''m not asking you to kill all of them, just make sure you do what I ask of you and please get our girls back. There''s no big reward at the end of the line, but I think my reward will be more than fair. Be swift and strike true hero, we''re counting on you.
There was also a location on where these miscreants gather as well as how much the mission is rewarded, it was 30 merits just the amount you need to move up on rank so Van put the paper in his pocket and went back to his room. After he got to his room he met the young girl again in front of the door and looked at her with a smile but she turned around to go back to her room, he moved very fast and got in front of her and she ran right into his chest, she was startled and looked up at him who was smiling at her, she put her head down as her cheeks went red before she took out her sword and thrust it towards him with her eyes closed. He moved swiftly and moved to her side taking away the sword from "You know, you can''t act like this forever since we are roommates why don''t get to know each other instead of trying to kill each other, doesn''t that sound better?" Van said and she opened her eyes and looked at him for a while, her cheeks were still red and the anger in her eyes didn''t seem to be going down, but after a deep breath she calmed herself down and took the sword away from him. "I don''t want to know you!" she said and left the room "Why is she so hard to get through?" Van asked himself before going to his room and getting his sword, shortly after he also left the room and the academy. At the exit of the academy, he used his emblem to sign out before he went after the miscreants. Chapter 8 - Aragon! Here is chapter 8 enjoy and please comment I feel like I am doing a bad job since there is no one commenting on them *sigh* ________________________________________________________________________________________ "So, here it is?" Van said as he looked at the tavern in front of him. He put the piece of paper in his hand in his pocket before he took a deep breath before looking at the tavern again. From the outside, it looks uncomfortable, depressing and unfriendly. Clay and intricate stone carvings make up most of the building''s outer structure. It''s difficult to see through the high windows, but the dire mood from within can be felt outside. As one enter the tavern through the worn, metal door, you''re welcomed by the sound of the wind outside and a few groans. The bartender is talking to a customer and makes no effort to acknowledge one''s presence. It''s as horrible inside as it is on the outside. Squared, wooden beams support the upper floor and the lanterns attached to them. The walls are covered in a layer of dust, making it near impossible to see what the few paintings on the walls are about. The tavern itself is almost completely abandoned. The few people inside probably work less honorable operations, but whoever they are, it makes one a little nervous. "Do they ever clean this smell is killing me" Van mumbled to himself as he entered the place, his voice was neither low nor loud but it was picked up almost everyone in the bar who looked at him from head to toe. Their eyes twinkled as they saw the clothes he was wearing, they all thought that he was some kind of young master. Someone of them looked confused as they didn''t see any guards with him, while the rest took this as a blessing. Van made his way to a table cleaned the dirty of the chair before he sat down, he looked around the place and the people who were looking at him. The bartender made his way to Van "Is there something I can get you?" "No thank you, I am here looking for someone named A-a...Aragon by any chance do you know where I can find him?"Van asked the bartender who was frozen in place along with everyone else in the bar. "W-w-why are you looking for Aragon?" the bartender asked with a shaky tone, Van only looked at him "I wanted to ask him a couple of questions that is all" He said with a smile. The bartender didn''t know what to say, should he tell him where he is or not. The bartender looked closely at Van ''He is just a kid, I am sure it''s fine'' he said. "He is at the bar next door. If I was you I would not mess with him!" The bartender said as he went back to serving the other customers. Van stood and left the tavern moving to the bar next door, he went inside the bar which was completely full. Just when he took a step inside the bar everyone looked at him "What is a kid like you doing in a place like this?" A fat man with a scar over his eye said to Van as he licked his lips. "I am looking for Aragon, is he here?" Van said in a calm voice which stunned everyone in the bar including the ones at the back who were drinking with a couple of naked women at their side. "Why are you looking for Aragon?" A bulky man asked as he threw off the woman on top of him and looked at Van with a smile but everyone started to sweat as they saw that smiled as they knew exactly what it meant, they all looked back at Van who was standing by the door. Some of the people looked at him with pitying eyes but that didn''t last for long as they all knew that the fault belonged to Van who was the one who came in here of his own will. Van wasn''t bothered by any of it as he looked at the man who spoke: "Are you, Aragon?" He said in a calm voice. This made the man frown "I am, so tell me why you are looking for me before I rip your eyes out and feed them to you?" He said while releasing his killing intent which made the woman next to him either tremble in fear or faint, even the people who were further away from him started to tremble in fear as they felt the amount of killing intent coming from the man. Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Amidst all of this Van didn''t even move a muscle as he was clearly not affected by the killing intent. The man stood up and walked towards Van with each step increasing the amount of killing intent. The man was surprised at first when he saw that Van didn''t move a muscle but he thought that the boy in front of him was in so much fear all his muscles stopped working making him unable to move, this made the man look at Van with a sinister grin. Finally, after taking 10 steps the man found himself in front of Van. Since he was taller than Van by a head he looked down on him "Now why don''t you tell me why you are looking for me?" He said in a cold tone. ~Boom! "First''s things first, when you are talking to me this is how it should be." Van said in a calm tone as he looked at the man who was on his knees in front of him, the man was astonished as he felt the loss of control in his own body, he could no longer make his body do anything he wanted as the strange energy that entered his body started to take control of everything in his body. He looked at the young man in front of him and when his eyes met Van''s eyes his body shivered as he felt a huge presence coming from them, ''What is happening to me?'' The man thought as he felt the complete loss of control on his body, the only thing he could do was looked at this young man''s eyes. ''Is this fear? Am I really afraid of this kid?'' the man thought as he felt completely overwhelmed and overpowered to the point his own body started to piss itself and there was nothing the man could do. "W-w-what do you want?" The man said in a tone filled with fear, all of this happened in matters of seconds so this shocked everyone who were watching. In their eyes they all saw the killing intent from the man vanish without a trace and the man fall on his knees, this already made their jaw drop in surprise but now the man whom they all knew as a ruthless person was pissing himself, this made many of them want to know what happened just know as they couldn''t believe their own eyes, as they couldn''t feel anything different from the boy so no one suspected Van at all. When they heard ''What do you want?'' from the man they all looked at the boy, some of them were thinking what the young man had to do with this but then they remembered his last words ''First''s things first, when you are talking to me this is how it should be'' this made them look at the young man in a new light. "A few days ago you killed some farmers and took their daughters, tell when were they are?" Van said in a calm tone as he looked at the man under him. The man started to connect the dots very quickly and looked at the young man "I was hired by someone!" He shouted as he felt the that if he lied, the young man would know and kill him on the spot. "Hired? By whom?" Van repeated as he looked at the man. The man didn''t hesitate as he spoke: "By Quin Luca the young master of the Luca family, I swear I didn''t touch those girls, he is the one who always looks for women in the city" The man said with a bitter smile. "Are you telling me that this Quin has taken more girls?" Van asked the man in a cold tone which startled the man "Yes, every 6 months they hire us to get them few virgin girls" The man said with a shaky voice as he didn''t want to lie to this young man. Van frowned "Where is this Quin Luca?" He asked the man. "I don''t know where he lives but he comes here often, am I sure if you stay around for few days you will meet him here" The man said as he saw a ray of hope. "How does he look?" Van asked the man "I haven''t seen how he looks like but he always has over 10 guards around him with a carriage, it is hard to miss him" the man replied. "Thank you for making it easier for me, for that reason, I shall make your death swift!" Van said as his voice grew darker, the man who was smiling became gloomy upon hearing those words, and in a split-second the man''s eyes became lifeless and his body fell on the ground. Chapter 9 - Necromancy! If you find mistakes please tell me about and make sure to comment :D Enjoy! _______________________________________________________________________________________ "As for the rest of you, depending on your action I will deal with you accordingly as well!" The moment those words left Van''s mouth everyone tried to get out of the bar but Van was standing in front of the door so how can they leave, most of the people despaired at this moment as they got on their knees and begged for their lives "I swear I had nothing to do with this!" was what they all said. Van spread out his strange energy and in a split second 9/10 out of the people in the bar fell on the group completely lifeless. Van looked at the remaining people in the bar, they were all women who have been forced doing things like this and they didn''t commit any sin according to the memory search Van did so he left them alive while killing everyone else who did even the slightest injustice to the weak. This world is a kill or be killed world, they only had their weakness to blame, if the roles were opposite it would have been Van who would be trampled on while they would move on with their lives ruining everyone else''s lives. After looked at the bar one more time he turned around and left the bar allowing the women there to have sigh of relief as they looked at the many people just laying on the ground, they didn''t know what to do know, the only reason they were here was either they had no other chance at living in this cruel world so they felt this place was better or this was the only place where they could work and get money for their family. After Van got out of the bar his sight was set on the red carriage moving past the bar, there were over 15 men surrounding it, each of them had the same set of armor and weapons on them. A bulky man was leading them as he was in the front. A smile could be seen on Van''s face as he decided to follow them. They moved over 10km before they entered the woods close to the city in the north. So far no one has noticed Van''s presence as he walked right behind them, literally just behind the carriage, he was so close he could touch it if he stretched his hand forward. After they entered the wood and walked for a while they came in front of a small castle. This castle has fourteen narrow, square towers reach twice the height of the next tallest building in this elegant castle and are connected by large, solid walls made of red stone. Rough windows are scattered generously around the walls in fairly symmetrical patterns, along with small holes for archers and artillery. A regular gate with great wooden doors, a drawbridge and strong defenses guard the only easy way across the river, but it''s not the only way in, which fortunately only very few know. Trees grow close to the castle gates and provide it with valuable wood for all sorts of purposes. This castle shows signs of expansion as some parts are clearly built more recently than others, the inhabitants are already working on another part and hope to keep expanding. "Open the gates!" The man in the front shouted and shortly the gate''s opened. The 15 men and the carriage went into the castle followed by Van who for some reason can''t be seen by anyone despite being right in front of them. Van watched how they closed the gate behind him, the moment it closed, the veil in the carriage was removed and a good looking youth stepped out, his hair was dark and short while his eyes were light brown, his build was average for his height of 190 cm. "Let us go in sir." The guard said as he and the young man made their way inside. In the meantime, Van was walking through this castle, despite walking there was not a sound coming from him at all, even his breath could not be heard as he walked through the dozen guards in the castle. "Where ye goin?" One of the guards asked his friend who stood up, their job is to guard the door behind them so they are not allowed to go anywhere so he was confused as to why his friend stood up. The man who stood up said and this made the one sitting frown "We are not allowed to move, wait until out shift ends!" "We have ben here for 12 hours, no one is goin to come here so what is there to be afraid of" The man said as he left while waving back, the man who was sitting was now angry "Don''t blame me for what happened to you" he sneered. Van who was watching this looked at this door for a moment before he moved next to the fat man who was sitting on the chair next to the door. Van hit the man on the neck with his hand and the man lost his consciousness. Van placed his hand on the door and with a single push the metal door turned into ashes. "What is that smell?" Van said as he held his nose and went into the dark room, there were stairs leading downwards which Van took and the more he moved down the more the smell got stronger, it was the smell of rotten flesh. When Van got to the bottom of the door he was stunned by what he saw, there were over a dozen women in the room, they were all naked, half of them were dead and was rotting on the side where those who were alive seemed to be lifeless as they just looked in front of them without moving an inch. Van looked closely at them and looked deep into their eyes "Their souls are missing?" He said. These women all seemed to be very young as they all looked to be about 14-24 years old, the ones on the side were unknown as their flesh had rotten and their bones could be see. Looking at this made Van angry as he released his strange energy covering the entire castle, he saw that there were over 3 more rooms like this one in the castle, he quickly looked for some with their soul''s intact but found none. What he did find though stunned him, there were countless women in the castle who was soulless but was still moving around, their body was not that of a woman anymore and more of a corpse "Necromancy?" Van said as his eyes went deadly and his killing intent rose. He clenched his fists as he vanished from where he was standing. Inside the castle in a room, sat the young man who left the carriage, in front of him were a table filled with all sorts of food, on his two side''s there stood two beautiful ladies who looked stunning. The lights in the room went out and the youth frowned "Go and turn on the lights and lock the damn window!" He shouted but he was not replied. "You sluts, I said turn on the damn light or I will have your heads now!" He shouted as he looked to his sides but there were no one there. A strange mist started to cover the room as the young man stood up and looked around "Who is there?" He said in a cold tone. "Death!" A cold tone which carried a lot of killing intent came from every direction and this made the young man tremble in fear, he took out something and vanished from the room. The mist retracted and the light was turned back on, the room was no empty with only Van in the middle looking around, "Teleportation?" he mumbled before he sent out his strange energy and covered the entire Castle first, he didn''t find any sign of the young man so he covered the entire woods but there was nothing, "Where did he hide?" He asked himself. After looking for a while Van stopped searching, ''let him hide sooner or later I will find him and when I do, I will make him wish he was born a girl instead!" Van vowed as he vanished from the castle. Van reappeared right above the castle and looked down at it, he looked for girls who had their souls intact but when saw that there were none he pointed his hand at the castle below him. "Absolute zero!" he said with a calm tone and a strange energy ball started to form on his hand, it was pitch black just like the abyss, the more you look at it the more one will feel drawn into it. The energy ball grew larger and larger until it was the same size as the castle. "What is that?" "Run!!" "Holy shit!" The shouts of the people below could be heard and Van sent the energy ball at them. ~BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Chapter 10 - Burn! Do you miss me? Well, I didn¡¯t have time to miss you guys as I was very busy this last week I am sorry I didn¡¯t post anything but nonetheless here is chapter 10 Enjoy :D ________________________________________________________________________________________ When the energy ball touched the tallest wall of the castle, it swallowed it and without stopping, it kept on swallowing until there was nothing but a hole at the size of the castle left on the ground. the energy vanished as if it was never there and Van after looking at the place for a while flew downwards. Next to the hole was a man, the man was utterly shocked at the scene before him that he forgot that he was taking a shit, shit was dangling off his butt as he kept on looking at the place where the castle was. Now there was nothing but a hole there, he didn''t understand just what happened. It has only been few minutes since he left the castle and now this happened. "Fuck this I am gettin outta here" The man said and cut off the shit on his butt and put his pants on, just when he turned around did he see the young man standing in front of him, this young man was letting out a deadly killing intent, and just before the man spoke a strange energy entered his body and before he could do anything his soul left his body and flew to the young man''s hands and the man''s body fell to the ground with a thud sound. [Soul Search] These words left Van''s mouth and a strange light covered the golden orb in Van''s hands, slowly all the memories inside the orb were pulled into Van''s mind as he looked through all the memories belonging to this man. "How despicable!" Van said before he crushed the orb in his hand into pieces. From the memories belonging to the man Van understood that this was not something that youth alone created. There is this organisation called The Hallow Order. This organisation according to this man has many members and they are all spread around the country in different cities. It just so happens that this city is where the Luca clan is set up, they are on of the higher ups in the organisation since the leader of the family is at the Qi General level. The people in this castle were all at the Qi User level as they were only guards to the youth and their base here. Since this man was only at the Qi user level that was all the information he had, but he also knew another thing. Where the girls who have been taken recently was taken, Van had a sigh of relief knowing that not everyone was turned into soulless vessels. "I need to hurry if that asshole tells anyone about me they might move the girls" Van said as he vanished leaving only a ripple behind that could not be scenes by the naked eye but people with higher power might see it clearly. In the city of Embercrest in the south, there was a small house without any other house in sight or near it, the place seemed to have been abandoned by how it looked, the air was hard to breathe in due to the abnormal smell which might explain why there is no one living here. The smell was coming from the shabby looking house. Outside the house, appeared a ripple that made the earth vibrate for a while before it stopped and Van appeared, he looked at the house in front of him and walked towards the door. ~Knock ~Knock He knocked at the door and after a while, a skinny man opened the door and looked at the young man "What is it?" The skinny man asked looking at Van. [Hell Flame] Van said and a small flame appeared on the tip of his finger which flew over to the old man and touched his chest before he turned into ashes, without a single noise the old man was no longer part of this world. "Who is it?" A man shouted as he came out of the room next to the front door. The man looked around and when looked at Van he frowned, he looked around for a while, searching for someone before he put his on the sword on his waist. [Void Lash] Van said and moved his hand in the form an arc and strange dark energy was shot from his hand. "What the..." The man said as he used his sword to block but the strange attack went through the sword and went to his body, the man bent his back to avoid it but it changed directions and went right through his chest. The man stood up and touched his own chest, he couldn''t feel anything and there was nothing wrong with his body either, this made him laugh out loud as he looked at Van. "Just a pity little trick, to think I was startled by something like that." The man said as he grabbed the sword in his hand tighter. ~Whoosh! The man charged at Van in a high-speed arriving right behind him, he swung his sword from the left the right aiming for Van''s neck. Van glanced to the side where the sword was coming from. A strange ripple appeared around the sword and when the sword was only 3 cm away from Van''s neck, the place where the strange dark energy hit it vanished and appeared at where it was before the energy hit it. "Impossible..." The man said as he looked at the new scene before him, he was looking at the ceiling of the house, he managed to move his neck and looked at where Van was standing and that the lower part of his body was right behind him. Blood started to gush out from both his upper body and his lower half at the same ~Peng! Both the lower and upper half the man''s body fell to the ground. Van stepped into the house and looked around for a while before he found a door which led to the basement, there was a big metal door blocking the door but after Van touched it, the door turned into ashes. [Tranquility of Defense] After saying those words a strange dark light covered Van''s body and after few seconds his body returned to normal and he walked into the basement. His steps could not be heard as he made his way down the stair''s and there was this strange air of Tranquility around him which made the space around him calmer. If one looked close enough you could see that with every step he took a small ripple appeared. "Thank god it seems like I am not too late." He mumbled with a sigh as he made his steps hastier. ~Sob ~sob ~Sniff ~sniff As Van got closer to the light he started to hear sounds of people crying. "Please let us go!" A small girl said while tears and snots were running down her cheeks, she was completely naked along with all the other girls in the room. They all had collars around their necks, in front of them stood 5 largely built men who were drinking while sitting around a large table. "Looking at their naked bodies is driving me mad, how can I as a man just sit here when there are countless beauties there waiting to pleasure me?" One of the men said as he looked at the crying girls in the corner, there were about 20 girls there. "You know we can''t touch them, they need to be virgins for the ritual to be successful." another man said as he took a sip of the beer in his hand. "But if we only take one the higher-ups won''t notice right?" The man spoke again, this made the man next to him angry. "I think it''s time for you to go upstairs and calm your mind, or else you won''t give me a choice other than to kill you." The man said in a cold tone, this made the first man stay quiet. "Hmm...Something is not right, I have this strange feeling." The man who was angry said, this made all the other 4 look at him, the man wanted to take one of the girls laughed "What you are feeling is the feeling of being horny my friend. I would be surprised if you didn''t feel anything despite looking at this scene." He said. "AHAHAHAH." The other''s laughed as they started to drink and chat but the man still had a feeling of uneasiness. "Burn!" Announcement!
